Would you happen to have recommendations for good, all purpose or simply just worth it 5* operators to raise in Arknights? For someone who has levelled none of them except Amiya, Cantabile, Kroos, Rockeock and Shamare
Going into detail for each and everyone one of them is unfeasible but let's start with the ones I consider really, really good and would always recommend:
Specter - Strong laneholder with self-sustain, best immortality staller in the game for the longest time and still arguably is, benefits from long-term investments in the form of Abyssal Hunter buffs, can be pseudohelidropped with S2M3. Very high HP lets her deals with Arts damage better than in-class equivalents.
Texas - Good DP generator with crowd control and above average damage. Extra starting DP from talent can enable entirely new openers, especially in endgame content. Not exceptional in anything, very reliable in just about any situation to open maps and cover light lanes.
Blue Poison - Strong AA Sniper with constant minibursts and ability to thin lanes thanks to multihits that don't compromise her single targeting, making her a tactical tool that circumvents Taunt to some degree until you can deploy your actual solutions to the Taunt source. Has one of the most famous M3s in her S1, with a charge of 2 attacks.
Warfarin - Versatile unit and easy M6, a lesser known property of her S1 heal is that it is instant, meaning she's a very reliable healer to keep someone under heavy damage alive. Rare Attack Up buff for others, which is what most people know her for. Good SP cycling and can help charge others' SP with her Talent.
Lappland - Best Silence-user in the game, as well as a solid, reliable unit in most maps thanks to her multitarget and Arts damage. You'll hear people claim she's fallen off or some other lie. She is still very solid outside of her Silence (which comes back into relevance every other Thursday anyways).
Ptilopsis - Strong, low investment unit, does not need Masteries at all in order to perform, powerful constant strong heals with S2 and has the best universal Skill Aura Talent that will speed everyone's SP charge by 30% just by existing on the map.
Elysium - One of the best utility units in the game, easy M6 with great SP production, DP reduction and ASPD buffs for Snipers, and a very strong S2 that reveals invisible units, reduces their speed significantly, and gives them a DEF debuff that stacks with other debuffs.
Cantabile - Lightweight assassin that can produce DP per attack while assassinating. Has a short timer to redeploy, so she can be an on-demand miniburst on a troublesome boss or lane, while making DP.
Any of the two Berries, Honeyberry or Mulberry - Handles Elemental Damage buildup, Honeyberry centers more on Elemental Damage, Mulberry has stronger HP heals, both are great. Honeyberry came free with your XBox, no excuse not to raise her. They also have very useful wide ranges that allow for unique safe set-ups.
Projekt Red - Lightweight assassin that can be used as a stunbomb or as a killer for light key targets. Nothing else needs be said, she gets the job done.
Firewatch and Andreana - Heavy duty shooters with wide range and unique targeting rules that specialize in dealing large amounts of damage one way or another, all useful. Firewatch can also use camouflage for fun strats, while Andreana can reap great benefits from long-term investment due to her status as a nominal Abyssal Hunter.
Asbestos - Strong Arts Guard, her S2 can target air, and is just in general very useful in balancing lanes that also need damage when you're spread thin elsewhere, or just as a fun, good unit to use.
La Pluma or Highmore - Both play very similar. Handy, self-sustaining middleweights with potent minibursts and unique three-frontal tile AoE ranges. They can get up to some truly wicked positioning strats.
Manticore - Heavy single hits with either Slow (truly constant with S1M3) or Stun and a large range with true AoE (actually hits EVERY unit in range). Straightforward use and can be used very creatively on chokepoints.
Platinum - S2 gives her extra range and strong single hits, letting her do things no other AA Sniper can do and giving you some ease of command on maps with inconvenient, distant ranged tiles. This is more valuable than you think.
Kazemaru - Middleweight laneholder with explosive bursts and ability to keep herself alive. Can hit air during Doll Form. Allows for various advance deployment strats thanks to her Dollkeeper nature, and has high constant damage during S2 uptime.
Silence - Her drone's healing is actually very powerful, a burst of healing that can actually enable some unique strategies and sustain that you'd otherwise not be able to achieve for cheap. Like her friend Ptilopsis, does not need Masteries to perform at a high level, but of course, welcomes them.
Liskarm - Very sturdy Physical damage tank that can cycle her S1 VERY quickly and has an S2 with good utility for when you need it. Can function as an SP battery for other characters as well, enabling some goofy meme strats (that carry a lot of potency).
Kjera - Great Caster with Freeze on S2. Nothing much needs be said, she's simply lovely, a caster, and can deal good damage with crowd control. Straightforward and simple.
If a 5* isn't here, it doesn't mean they are bad, there are plenty of good ones out there like Iris and Bibeak to name a few, but I consider this list a pretty integral "core" roster, from which you can then expand towards your preferences.

Hello! Absolutely love your writing!
Could I please request Soap/Price NSFW alphabet? x
aw thank you!! of course, price's will be out later today or early tomorrow
soap mactavish NSFW alphabet
Tumblr media
warnings: nsfw obviously, cum, spanking and ass slapping, mentions of blowjobs, sir kink, breeding kink, degrading, teasing, power kink, mirror sex, mainly m recieving masturbation, wax play, doggy style, matting press, knife kink,
masterlist
a- aftercare, whats their aftercare like?
johns aftercare is gentle and loving, placing little kisses aa he cleans you up with a towel before running a shower for you both. you clean eachother up and wash eachothers hair.
b- body part, do they have a favourite body part?
your ass, its a cushion. big or small, his head will rest this. he digs his fingers into it, occasionally slapping it when he sees you. he can't help it! you just look too good.
c- cum, anything to do with cum
he likes cumming on your face after you suck his dick. seeing it drip down onto your tits drives him wild.
d- dirty secret, do they have secrets?
whilst on deployment, he takes either; a bra, your lace panties or a nude in polaroid form. he thinks you don't know but when you see him unpack you see a tent in his pants staring at whatever he's taken.
e- experience, how many times?
he's scottish (just like me) so you can expect experience, what can i say? everyone wants that scottish dick...
f- favourite position, any positions they prefer?
doggy style, matting press... mainly he prefers anything where he can see your ass jiggle as he slams his hips against it. both of you moaning in unison.
g-goofy, are they sarcastic or serious?
i see him being more serious, but then again i see all task force members being serious. i don't see any to make jokes, maybe they'd mock you, but jokes are off the table when in the bedroom.
h- hair, are they well trimmed? does thr carpet match the drapes?
he usually cuts it while he's with you, trimming it down enough thats comfy for both if you. yet, when he's on deployment he lets it grow. it's a waste of time that he could use training.
i- intimacy, how romantic are they?
mainly degrading you, he isn't the lovey-dovey type until after the sex. he'd call you a brat or mock your moans at the slightest of touch and actions.
j- jack off, how often do they get off?
fairy regular, a normal amount i'd say. he doesn't really jerk off while on leave because he has you. deployment is fairy often but not too much.
k- kinks, any kinks?
degrading kink, power kink, he likes fucking you infront of a mirror, seeing the look on your face and forcing you to watch. knife kink and wax.
l-location, do they like public or privacy?
i mean, he'd prefer private but if you both can't wait you'll find the nearest bathroom and fuck eachother stupid.
m- motivation
teasing, he's such a tease. slowly going up and down your thigh, stopping when you make noise. "quiet for me, lass."
n- no, what wouldn't they do?
anything that would seriously harm you, he likes to use a knife but only grazing. never enough for you to actually bleed of cry from pain.
o- oral, receiving or giving?
preferably recieving. doesn't mean he wouldn't eat you out. but he likes the way your lips wrapped around his dick, slowly sucking him. giving little licks to the tip to tease him back.
p- pace, how fast are they willing to go?
starting off slow, gradually getting faster. he only starts slow to build you up, then rips you apart as he speeds up. his dick hitting that sweet spot.
q- quickies, what do they think about quickies?
he'd rather take his time, if your at a party and suddenly horny he doesn't mind taking you in the bathroom... but then he can't tease you, and you know how unfair he likes to be.
r- risk, are they a risk taker?
regarding the fact he'd do it in public, i guess. but, he'd never take you if you weren't in birth control and weren't ready for a baby. thats not happening at the moment.
t- toys, do they experiment with toys?
sure, some toys here and there. just like when hes on deployment, he understands that you might want to get yourself off. he'll get a dildo that looks similar to his own cock so you can imagine him every time.
u- unfair, how much do they tease you.
read above, he's a tease for sure. edging you until you're in tears and whining from touch. only whining will make him stop though, being more and more unfair.
v- volume, how loud are they?
occasional grunts and moans, not as much as you but still enough to show that he's enjoying himself.
w- wild card, your own headcanon?
i think he wants you pregnant, a breeding kink maybe. or a sir kink, he knows its not the time and prefers not to say anything about the sir kink because you know he gets called, "sir" at his work.
x- xray, whats going on under those clothes?
5.3 inches flacid, 6.1 inches hard. a thick vein across his shaft and uncircumcised.
y- yearning?
definitely more horny, he initiates most of the time. other times you do. him being horny gets you horny.
z- zzz, how quickly do they fall asleep?
not until your cleaned, had a shower, in a comfy shirt and massaged will he fall asleep. your needs matter more than his, he thinks.

OK so as someone who just genuinely loved Dual destinies and is keeping my theis length DD apologia in the drafts at least for now. I genuinely want to know why people don't like it.
I have seen this take from so many AA fans who I completely agree about everything else with. I need to understand why it sounds like we played completely different games.
I will put some I've seen but feel differently about under the cut
Critisms I find unfair:
-it doesn't tie up the loose ends AA4 left hanging. We don't hold any of the other games up to this standard because they all properly finish up the characters arcs. Aa5 cannot be blamed for the problems we want to overlook in AA4. I do also love AA4 but it does leave a lot of dangling plot threads that the others don't and that would be a fucking nightmare to tie up *staring directly at sibling reveal*
- Clay comes out if no where. He's very well established through the game. He just isn't mentioned in AA4 just like Fran isn't mentioned in AA1 and Dahlia isn't mentioned before AA3.
Critism I acknowledge is a reasonable opinion people can have but strongly disagree with
-Spilting the game between the protagonists stops them having proper arcs. Athena is our weird girl for this game. She is our maya. We get to play as her for 1.5 cases. For the majority of the game she's taking up the weird girl screen time and she's honestly still doing that in the ones you play as her. She's just a weird girl who happens to be a lawyer. In the main game Apollo and Phoenix have a roughly equal amount of screen time by chapter. They cut the bloated filler not the arcs (yes I will argue that 5-2 is needed for Apollos arc. Its there to set up his relationship with Athena that us a catalyst later on)
-Phoenix and Apollo are OOC. No. Phoenix is still a cryptic little bitch when you don't play as him and in AA4 he was so very clearly missing being a lawyer. It makes sense. Apollo very clearly in the last case of AA4 regains a lot of his respect for Phoenix. No, he doesn't do this on screen but again that is AA4s fault not dual destinies. That's how he acts the last time we see him so that's how he's acting now.
-The Phantom comes out of nowhere. Plot wise, maybe. But so do a lot of AA villians. Thematically, he's the perfect fit. DD is a game about trust. Very, very explicitly. A spy is someone who can't trust anyone. The phantom is a man who's shut himself off so much from emotions that he no longer recognises why trust is needed. And also has an ability that directly preys on people by making them think hes a trustworthy figure. He's not an incredible villian but he is thematically cohesive.
-almost a part 2 to the last point. The Fulbright reveal comes out of nowhere. First of all 5-2 has some very very choice sprite framing lol. But beyond that it also is a thematically smart choice. We as players are conditioned in AA games to trust the recurring detective. The villain should be someone that we trust. The guy was likeable but also fundamentally always kinda hollow and did in fact pull a shit ton of strings in 5-4 that we all ignored because we trusted him. The clues are there. You're just not ment to pick up on them because of the formula of these games.
-Edgeworth doesn't need to be there. Again game with a theme of trust. He doesn't necessarily need to be there but his dynamic with Phoenix does. They spent 3 fucking games setting up how important it is that those two trust each other and in a game about trust his absence would be felt.
-I don't see this a lot but I did see it a few times. Blackquill is a bad prosecutor. Honestly this is a taste thing and I love him. He is my little bastard man. Also thematically he embodies the two people you aren't supposed to trust in these games, a convict and a prosecutor but is actually a cool guy.
-I've never seen this but I can guess it's happened. Pearl comes out of nowhere. Again theme of trust. Phoenix has just lost the two people he's been relying on to trust the most and needed to be reminded that there were other people he loved and trusted so letter from Maya and visit from Pearl.
-mood matrix. I like the mini game I think it's fun. My brain likes to sit and logically think about what emotions it would make sense for someone to feel in situations.
Criticism I agree with but really don't bother me
-Trucy is side lined. Yeah. I love her to pieces and will never complain about getting more of her but it doesn't make sense for her to not be there plot wise and they clearly just didn't have room for her. I am happy with my Trucy scraps. I would visit her and present every piece of evidence to her to get as much dialogue as I could.
-Klavier is sidelined. Also yeah. But he did genuinely need to be there for 5-3 thematically for that case. (It is literally a showdown between his school of thought and the one he thought phoenix had) but they couldn't make him procecutor because he'd be too much on their side. It had to be someone who at that point seems at least a little morally dubious. I wish there was more but I will also happily take my Klavier scraps.
-the anime cutscenes. I don't love them but I do have a little switch in my brain marked "watching anime" that I can flip and enjoy them for what they are.
-the switch of the voiced sound effects. Yes they are worse but like, I can live with it.
Stuff I don't like and won't defend
-turnabout reclaimed racism and fatphobia (also blatant animal welfare ignorance). I'm not defending it or overlooking it but it's not the only game in this franchise to be problematic.

🌋Additional fun facts about Uendo Toneido!
In tha original Japanese version, it's a bit more obvious that tha alters are fictives of sorts. Kisegawa retains her name from tha rakugo story of 'Omitate', but Patches's original name was 'Ippachi' while Owen's original name was 'Sadakichi Isoda'. They're both rakugo characters that feature in a number of stories, Ippachi especially.
While Uendo's original stage name was 'Bifu Senputei', Uendo Toneido functions as a real Japanese name! (Ya can even see it a split second written on the fan they threw) Translating roughly to "Feather Performer", we believe.
A right cute detail is the fan symbol pepperin' their design is not only a mechanical fan, but one with specifically 4 blades.
Them gettin' drunk off of a sake bun is actually a rakugo reference! 'The scary manju bun' is a tale of a man claiming that his biggest fear, one that makes him pass out, are manju buns. When his friends prank him with a bunch of them, he eats them all and goes 'hmm... my biggest fear now is... a bottle of alcohol...' 'r somethin' like that!
Number of mats a rakugo artist sits on can be indicative of how popular/well liked they are! Can't get full details on this but it's 'parently a gag in rakugo shows/series that this can happen. So it's fair ta say that Uendo is fairly well liked as a performer ('n probably does give out autographs!)
Uendo calls Geiru "big sis" and Athena "sis" in the original Japanese
Uendo actually falls in line with a specific theme of Spirit of Justice, which I can only really describe as being themed ta spirit channelin'? Albhi and the dog being able to talk somehow, the magician twins pretending to be one person, Uendo and co. all seem to be sort of allusions to that element. In a sense they're kind of a parallel to Maya Fey, in fact they're actually the same age as her in canon, if ya look closely! It makes sense, if ya consider Maya and Mia are basically two characters in one. 'N with how many cocouncil characters allude ta Maya (if ya haven't played the Professor Layton one the gal in that is uh. The most blatant one, we'll say.), Uendo sorta... inadvertently confirms the whole dang series has been awfully plural for a long time? It's interestin'.
Can't remember anythin' else atm, but hope ya liked all that! - Helen
Mannnnnnn. I am absolutely loving all of this. ❤️ Thank you for stopping by with these fun facts!!
I haven't played the crossover game (I desperately wanna tho), but ... Yeah. I def see what you mean about things being System- coded.
These little facts just make everything so much better, though. And tbh I'm not surprised that the Uendo's headmates may be fictives - considering how large rakugo is as a piece of their shared life.
Idk it seems like they did a decent amount of research for rep that actually felt reasonable within the context of the AA universe. Especially with these added little facts. ❤️

The doomsday device would display the amount of time you had to get back to your hive and enter the Medium before the forest was destroyed.
Pressing that button didn’t start a countdown - it just displayed one that was already ticking down, without a clock to show it.
This is exactly the same timer as the one on Terezi’s Cruxtruder, so I’m wondering what the point of all this was. What’s up with this redundant black box, and who is it really for?
At the time, it wouldn't occur to you to wonder whether the device was directly responsible for the apocalypse, or merely served as its precisely calibrated harbinger. And it certainly wouldn't occur to you to cast doubt on any perceived difference between those two things. It wouldn't until later, when you better understood the game you were about to play.
Yeah, I don’t know about this. ‘Acausality’ in Sburb is starting to rub me the wrong way, and it’s time to talk about it.
The implication here is that saying ‘the timer caused the meteors’ is exactly as true as saying ‘the timer is predicting the meteors’ - that causality is meaningless when it comes to Sburb. But in this case, that doesn’t actually make sense.
The timer didn’t cause the meteors - the Reckoning did.
The Reckoning destroys Alternia because Skaia’s defense portals are designed to redirect the meteors there, for some reason.
This apocalypse is a direct result of how Sburb was designed.
Note that Terezi is only tipping the scale because the world is ‘about to end anyway’. Even if she was causing the apocalypse here, she’s being tricked into doing so, by Sburb and by fate.
If I push Alice over, and she falls onto Bob, Alice isn’t to blame. It’s still my fault, and Terezi isn’t doing anything wrong here.
Also - and I know this is tangential, but I need  to talk about this - these ‘self-generating’ time loops are starting to get a little suspicious.
Tumblr media
Look at poor Rose, here. Her world is literally ending as a result of technology neither she nor anyone else on Earth can understand, and she’s concluding that there was nothing to be done. In retrospect, this fatalism reminds me a lot of AA’s current state - you know, AA, the most obviously manipulated character in the comic.
Rose is later ‘justified’ in this attitude by Nanna, by the trolls, and by insight into how the game works. This was a time-loop, caused by nothing.
What a perfect little bow to tie around it all. You can’t prevent this, Rose. This will happen, AA. No matter how hard you look, you won’t find another way, so stop looking.
Anyway, isn’t it interesting that all Sburb’s pre-programmed time-loops benefit the game, and screw over the Players?
Tumblr media
The Players are made by the game, so they’re destined to play the game. They can never have a normal life, and no one caused this. Just get on with it.
Tumblr media
The Players’ planet is destined to be destroyed, so they have nowhere to go but the Medium. Play the game or die - but no one caused this, so don’t go crying about it.
Tumblr media
The Exiles were always helping the Players, so their planet was always going to be repurposed as a Sburb seed planet. Leave your planet to us, and remember - no one caused this, so don’t question why this is happening.
Is all of this really acausal, or is the cause being obfuscated?

//You know, I did have a similar thought re: point #2. It's kind of why I didn't go full on hateful in my initial response, but I also think that if it is just a joke, it's going to go over a lot of heads, particularly, AAs who are more likely to visit the brewery.//
To be fair, I know a good amount of Jared fans who go to, or have gone to, the brewery. But, yeah. Even if it wasn’t intended as a slight, it looks like a slight. And with actors, sometimes that’s all that matters.
It’s like at JIB, when Jensen joked about having to pretend to be friends with him for 15+ years, when he and Rich were ragging on Jared when he and Rob joined them on stage. Like, I’m pretty sure he’s kidding, but it’s a shitty joke on a few levels. It makes him sound like he’s a liar who just played everyone (including Jared) for years. It feeds the hateful Jared antis who are always looking for evidence that people hate Jared. It makes him sound like an asshole. He only really usually does this kind of thing at JIB, so it could just be his JIB persona, but it’s a look that I have never liked on him.
I do think that J2 were legitimate friends for a long time. Even in the candid pics of them they looked just happy to be around each other. Jensen in particular looked like he simped for Jared. But, I think when Jared put up some boundaries, it made Jensen bitter. Then realizing the majority of people truly don’t care about him on Supernatural (or related projects) unless he’s with Jared made him even more bitter.
I wonder how Jensen will respond if Jared doesn’t join any more CE cons next year (I personally think he’ll be added to a couple more), and attendance suffers enough for him to realize that he can’t headline the convention on his own either. I mean, maybe there are enough heller and AAs to sustain Jensen only headliners for a while, but for 7+ (or whatever number it is now) CE contentions in one year? I’m not so sure.
Jensen and JIB is just a disaster waiting to happen.
I think Jensen and Jared were, and still are, situational friends, i.e., friends who shared multiple experiences together that bound their friendship. Early on, they probably also had an emotional friendship where they could be vulnerable with each other, but I think that's the style of friendship that's missing now. They still have all their experiences together to fall back on, but I just don't think the emotional closeness is there anymore.
So, whether that feeds into the bitterness, who knows, but you're right about the possibility of more hard truths coming for Jensen in the next year.

Hii! So I've played....4.5 Ace Attorney games now? And every time there is a recess where the judge is like "The prosecution will now prepare the new witnesses" I wonder what exactly that entails. Like if I were a witness, would Edgeworth or van Zieks just be like "listen here, this is what you say, this is what you don't say." and that's it? Or is there more to it than that?
Plus I feel early-years Demon Prosecutor Edgeworth and just....van Zieks in general are not exactly great people to talk to?? I'd be absolutely terrified if I was a witness.
Do you have any insights on how this usually works? Especially with the absolutely terrifying creature that is Barok van Zieks
Thank you! And I hope you have a great day <3
Honestly, that's what I always assumed, too? That the prosecution would go over their stories, tell them things that they should or shouldn't say or that would be helpful, unhelpful, too biased, etc. I don't know the first thing about in-depth legal procedure except for some half-remembered Legal Eagle videos, but I also know that Takumi himself professed to not knowing anything about the law when he wrote the first AA game, so we're probably all in the same boat lmao.
It's been a long, long while since I played the trilogy, so take this with a grain of salt, but I agree that Bratworth-era Edgeworth would definitely not be pleasant to work under as a witness. I imagine one of the things that the von Karmas were taught was that fear equaled respect. Obviously they wouldn't want to be so nasty to the witnesses that they would refuse to testify at all for them, and I don't imagine Edgeworth was ever quite as vicious as Manfred (in the same way that Franziska wasn't, either), but I'd definitely be scared to death. However, it's also kind of hard to say, given the enormous amount of trouble AA1 Edgeworth had with wrangling his witnesses, and them being thoroughly disobedient with him. (I can't imagine the poor man having to prepare Oldbag... dear God...)
van Zieks, however, seems to have most of his scary factor come unintentionally. He certainly uses this to his advantage insofar that he accepts his reputation as the Reaper because it scares criminals, while searching for the culprit of those crimes on the side, but he is generally quite polite with witnesses and people in general (and was very kind and accommodating to the Beates even after learning they'd tampered with the crime scene once he learned why) unless he thinks they're criminals or unless they happen to be Japanese. I don't think he was ever raised with the same "fear equals respect" mindset (Klint seems like he was significantly less intimidating than his brother at his age, so he certainly wouldn't have been the one to impart such an idea) as in the von Karma household - he just looks threatening, doesn't smile, and comes off as cold due to his reputation, extreme politeness, and generally asocial and distrustful attitude. So while you'd certainly be scared being a witness prepared by him, I don't think there would be any deliberate intent behind it.

i was thinking a little more abt why i consider aa4 to be the best aa game ,….putting ramble under cut bc its kinda long orz
it basically just comes down to the fact that aa4 takes the classic, more basic structure of aa1 and improves upon it. u have the first case to introduce the protagonist’s mentor (mia and kristoph); this person is gone by the second case, which focuses on the relationship between the protagonist and his new assistant and fleshes out their dynamic (even if 4-2 isn’t focused on trucy like turnabout sisters is on maya); the third case sheds more light on the rival prosecutor (on the flip side, turnabout serenade revolves around klavier while 1-3 does not on edgeworth); and the fourth case is, of course, the Big One that centers on lore and character stories. the games are structured almost exactly the same, if you exclude rise from the ashes (which is dlc content anyways).
however, what makes aj different from jfa (which also does something similar) is that aj showcases phoenix’s story from an outsider’s perspective; though aa4 is, obviously, about apollo, phoenix is still arguably the protagonist of the entirety of ace attorney (through aa4 at least) and aa4’s story hinges almost entirely on his history with kristoph and zak. jfa, however—which follows this same structure—takes all of the characters that we knew from aa1 and does relatively little new with them. sure, edgeworth’s disappearance puts phoenix in a state of turmoil, and phoenix and maya’s relationship grows stronger when he has to save her, but this all happens in 2-4; 2-2 and 2-3 are basically irrelevant (besides the introduction of pearl and kurain village, which aren’t even that significant until t&t) and just largely feel like something you have to sit through to get to the grand finale. this structure works better in aa1 and aa4 because we’re still getting to know the characters, who have just been introduced, by aa2 simply can’t do this because the only new major characters are franziska and pearl; though pearl’s relationship with her family does shed more light on mia and maya’s past relationship, franziska is very, very distanced from phoenix and isn’t properly expanded on throughout the game aside from small moments in trials and her post-credits scene with edgeworth. aa4 works so great because it’s able to take that classic formula of “introduction case > dynamic exploration case > dynamic exploration case > huge loredrop finale” and do something completely new with it through the utilization of its fresh set of characters and creative storyline choice (they absolutely didnt HAVE to disbar phoenix and choose the route of a new protag in aa4—they totally could’ve just kept telling phoenix’s story as they had previously—but they did what they did and it went so fucking hard), as well as stronger writing due to the amount of time for which the series had existed, which allowed for the writers to get more comfortable and more unique.
furthermore, i feel like people generally cite t&t or dgs as being the best-executed ace attorney games, but i don’t think that’s necessarily the case. first off, while i think that t&t is definitely a very strong choice (because it deviates so sharply and so well from the aa norm with its first, fourth, and fifth cases) 3-2 and 3-3 (as much as i love the stolen turnabout…) unfortunately fall victim to not being incredibly significant and feeling like a bit of a waste of time, ESPECIALLY recipe for turnabout. where 2-2 at least let us know more about maya and her family and, in the long run, set up for dahlia and iris’ narrative, 3-2 and 3-3 do basically. nothing, despite being pretty fun play-throughs. and, as i’ve mentioned, this is different in the case of aa4 because entirely new characters and dynamics are being explored for the very first time, just like they were in aa1; however, as i’ve also said, 4-2 and 4-3 simply have better quality of writing than 1-2 and 1-3 because ace attorney was such a more solidified series at this point in time.
and second, the reason why i feel very hesitant to label dgs (both combined) as “the best” is because, while dgs2 is executed to near-perfection in my opinion, the entirety of dgs1 is very much so just setting up for it. dgs2 is very unique in that EVERY SINGLE ONE of its cases is part of an overarching storyline (even 2-2, albeit more loosely), and the reason why it’s so enthralling to play is that every case leaves you wanting more and more due to the sheer amount of unanswered questions that are dropped, which all culminate in 2-5. however, the game as a whole is ABSOLUTELY riding on the coattails of dgs1, because it hinges on the first game to introduce its characters, relationships, and important plot elements. dgs1 is essential to dgs2’s existence, but it’s just SO boring to play through on its own because it’s essentially one huge setup for 2-3 through 2-5, and the cases feel rather bland because of that. you have to sit through 15-20 hours of dgs1–which in my opinion does not expand NEARLY enough on the stories of its characters, especially susato and van zieks (herlock and iris are kind of different cases so they don’t really suffer from this in my opinion)—before u can reach the absolute brainexplosion (for lack of a better term) that is dgs2. dgs2 cannot exist without the setup that dgs1 provides for it, but dgs1 is uninteresting to play through because it’s unnecessarily long and its Big Case doesn’t have a any sort of significant, emotional meaning to any of the main characters like…every single other one before it did. which i don’t think is INHERENTLY a bad thing, but that makes it harder to appreciate the case for what it is and make a connection to it. i think that dgs is absolutely amazing, but its problem is that it needs two entire games—both of which are weak individually—to tell one story. D
tldr: aa4 good bc it repurposes the classic ace attorney formula into something new and exiting + its better than dgs and t&t because its more cohesive and does not fall victim to Useless Second And Third Case Syndrome. idrk what the point of this was sorry i was just thinking because i reeeeeallym really really like aa4 and also dgs and t&t but like i like aa4 more. anyways. Bye

Hi if you don’t mind me asking what’s a mirror au
and uh what’s mirror!rolly’s deal
the mirror au is essentially a dark alternate universe (though unlike kaede's timeline it's not a perpetual operation: blackout or anything like that) where herbert (among other foes of the epf) is working on the side of good and the epf are working on the side of evil. this is getting to be a bit long, so more under the cut!
thanks to @/oldmanyaoi-jpeg, aunt arctic's motivation for evil was getting sick of working for the club penguin times and making it EVERYONE'S problem- she wants to take the island down now and maybe even start from scratch…make HER ideal island, not unlike a petty polar bear we know and love. or loathe! don't you love it when characters don't ask for help like sane people before plunging into villainy <3 though she's a much, much colder person in this au…i do enjoy when villains are nice to their henchmen, so i like to think despite everything aa does care about her agents :) (except board guy. he got fired for annoying everyone WAY faster than in my main timeline and decided to work with herbert once he founds his own agency out of revenge)
rolly is one such agent, and not unlike his "prime" counterpart he became an psa agent in 2006. though he thought it was an acting gig at first…i imagine he realized far sooner than our dear sweet NORMAL rolly it was all real, and just…kept doing it. whether it was for the rush of stealing from the epf's foes due to being fast on his feet, or because two hot men were his coworkers (rookie and jpg, who were probably more blunt that they were into him instead of trying to let him figure out they all had feelings for each other), or the fact that even though the epf is like, super evil and screaming matches happen concerningly often, they're all one big evil family…that and it's funny to him seeing the other agents act snidely to each other. except when dot suplexes him and ruins his pompadour, then he's out for BLOOD! granted, dot and rolly ARE still friends in this au…they just like committing t4t violence with each other
i imagine rolly met herbert after he stole his mechanical woodchopper- this psa/epf is VERY hostile to villains outside their ranks potentially surpassing them, you see. and herbert made himself more of a target by stealing gary's blueprints… so rolly managed to steal the woodchopper, chop down a sizable amount of the ski lodge, and take credit for it. to say herbert was livid would be an UNDERSTATEMENT. he made a woodchopper so HE could be warm and shut penguins up for a while, maybe even cut down other buildings for their resources, and THIS is the thanks he gets?
some twerp who uses too much hair gel stealing what should be HIS glory? at first, herbert tries to deal with the problem himself (alongside klutzy- oh and richter's there as well as a calculator to erm…provide math support? sure.) but not unlike canon, the agents and especially rolly are too slippery for him to catch- and after the FIRST time rolly literally walked out when he was preparing a ransom video to tell the psa to fuck off or he'd cut off his pompadour and send it to them to show he wasnt playing around, herbert eventually went under the radar to plan…to scheme, even… and while the psa did not LIKE the lack of closure, or being unable to find him, they eventually figured he'd given up trying to stop them and went about business as usual.
unbeknownst to them, herbert was making a special kind of plant in secret…super sugarcane. instead of a popcorn bomb, herbert made a candy one, and using his genetically modified sugar cane as an ingredient (among other things that are so top secret and super dangerous and not cartoonishly dangerous and made up that the US government will shut this blog down for giving you instructions to make your own cotton candy bomb). he would purposely come out of hiding and let rolly steal it, thinking the psa could use it for their own plans...when in actuality, it was rigged to explode the second it was inside of psa HQ, which managed to trap rolly, gary, jpg and rookie and get them all caught by the mods (fictional ones mind you, we don't pull a "spike hike is literally darth vader" twist here or use actual mod penguins beyond cameos here 😤).
before the mods arrived, dot did try to free them...but when it was looking pretty bleak gary basically told her to call any nearby epf agents, take the evidence it existed and run- the psa's tech was ruined so it was pretty slim that anything survived, but epf tech was still working...which meant it's agents were vulnerable now. in any case, once dot and the others took everything they could out and fled, the boys were arreted and held in the lighthouse's basement for a few days which- fun fact, the lighthouse was going to have a room exclusive to banned players before the idea was dropped- for further questioning and such. of course, being a black belt and trained in elemental jitsu (and having dot and paige around to help), aunt arctic and the girls would disguise themselves and bust out the boys and they would concentrate on getting rid of herbert by any means necessary... i havent figured out if there's a operation hibernation equivalent, or how blackout would happen/if the epf has its own equivalent yet, but here's some assorted facts i came up with for this
Sonata, Gin, and Scrabble are all agents under Herbert, and would be considered 'aces' by the standards of the mainverse EPF. Other important agents include the Ultimate Protobot and the Test Bots, (in the future) Torrent, and Skip the Bellhop.
Richter dislikes both Herbert's agency and the EPF, but is willing to work for both when it suits him. Both groups are aware, but...well. Sometimes its good to have a very smart normal penguin working with you- and both groups figure they can deal with it in more depth when they rule the island... While Herbert and Richter do not nearly have as awful of a relationship they normally have in this timeline, since Herbert never really made an effort to be a parent for her it's still pretty tense...though because he never tries reprogramming her nor forcing her to fight the EPF, it's not as bad as it COULD be. Maybe it could be salvaged, even..
The PSA operated out of the Extreme Sports Shop, but after it was bombed, thankfully a small startup business named Enjoyable Popcorn & FUN! Inc. took it's place. Oddly, the rarely seen owner of the building looks like Gary...buuuut all of his relatives have that resemblance- so surely it's a mere coincidence, and not being ran by the disgraced inventor...right?
Rolly can fight, but he isn't super formidable without his baseball bat.
Scrabble and Gin actually met each other during their childhood and became lifelong friends in this AU.

ough ive not spoken for some time but . 1. im curious ur takes on finnegan and all of the stuff that comes w him:0
2 ive decided to snap n ask abt . any advice to do w doing crystal nucleus,,
ive not been playing as much sb lately bc . busy . but aa id like to say . im near 500 commisions finally hehe and im a bit pffput as i decided to not collect from my minions until a mayor w skill exp multiplier appeared but apparenly theyre gonna nerf minion skill xp ? augh i couldnt get info abt it besides jus someone saying it but . if so thats kinda tragic </3 -crenshaw121
finnegan is fun!! i'm a freak that actually enjoys collecting pelts so i liked having him as a mayor lol. ALSO THE 10% INCREASE ON JACOB'S CONTESTS IS HUGE that's gonna be VERY helpful in trying to raise the cap for farming 60. the cultivating/math bonus is surprisingly helpful too! i didn't think that one would make a huge difference but getting gold in a few more contests was pretty easy bc of that
about the skill exp, this is a FUTURE plan. possibly wayyyy in the future, but we can't be sure when they'll decide to test it. it was mentioned in the 1.0 design thread, which is currently unfinished. it's not a 100% guarantee it'll even be happening, the thread is open to community feedback and everything will likely be playtested on alpha too
Tumblr media
i'm gonna assume your question about the nucleus meant completing a nucleus run and not just general advice on what to do in the hollows itself, so that's how i'm gonna answer. if you have any other questions feel free to send another ask... also this got long so i'm putting it under a read more 😅
biggest advice i can give is just ask for coordinates! most of the time people are willing to give them out. if they don't have any, use a wishing compass to try and find the structure. you can get them pretty easily from chests. if you're having trouble finding the chests, try to familiarize yourself with some of the rooms! set chests always spawn in the same places in rooms, but you can also dig up chests randomly from the hardstone (less reliable if you don't dig REALLY FAST). and if you need any compasses and i'm online i'll gladly give you a ton. i uh... i have a lot of spares i keep for friends
Tumblr media
every once in a while a lobby might spawn without a structure or with one of them glitched (i've had so many chunk errors in the mines of divan...) so if that happens just hop lobbies. if you find one with all 6 structures relatively easy to reach, consider sticking around! having the tunnels already dug out and all the coordinates listed down is very helpful in getting runs done faster
okay so actually DOING the nucleus stuff. for amethyst... i have no advice. just learn the parkour as best as you can. keys are pretty cheap, but if you're on ironman or something you'll need to find a key guardian or odawa to get keys for runs. topaz is an easier one, bal loses health based on the amount of hits done NOT on the amount of damage done. hit it 100 times with any bow and get out before you burn 👍 if it's been defeated recently, you don't even need to fight. you can just click the crystal and get it. no advice for jade, it's free but annoying, and the time it takes to complete is up to RNG. amber can be easy if you know where the king is. after you've found the king (there's two chests in his room btw if you need goblin eggs, one above him and one below him), the queen should be VERY close by. using a compass should get you to her, so once you've found the king it's pretty much a given. i recommend doing this one last bc the king's scent lasts 20 minutes (unless you touch water), so if you're fast you can just run back to the queen and take the crystal again immediately
and sapphire is the harder one just bc getting robot parts is annoying. if you buy all of them, it'll cost you around 1m coins. this is Fine, you'll probably make it back from the loot in the run anyways, BUT if you wanna farm robot parts ahead of time that can cut down costs. you can farm automatons with high magic find bc they always spawn in the same places in the lost city, OR if you're insane like me and have a lot of powder and hotm6, you can upgrade mole and great explorer and get parts out of chests while mining hardstone in the precursor. i currently have mole 71 (definitely overkill) and great explorer 15. this is all of my spare robot parts AFTER giving ark half of mine
Tumblr media
farming parts like this also gives a lot of powder btw! but it's very boring and VERY time consuming so i understand if it's not your thing
since you said you're close to 500 commissions, keep in mind that the nucleus warp is at 750! that is a major game changer for getting runs done. but until you get that, just remember that the nucleus is always around 500x 500y :]

A little backstory to Merritt Drew....
Tumblr media
Full Name: Merritt Drew Harding
Age: 24
Appearance: 5′6, curly red hair, blue eyes
Birthday: October 3rd
Sexuality: good question
Key information / Biography:
Most people remember their childhood, their early childhood in just small flashes or almost the memory of a memory. There are things we assumed we did; been afraid of the dark, hated one specific vegetable, learn the alphabet. Maybe those things are not clear, but often times we know they happened in some capacity. The quintessential curve of toddler life to nursery school is a familiar image for most
Merritt Drew Harding does not remember anything before age five. She never assumed anything bad about it or that it was something traumatic. There was never aa reason to do so having been adopted into a family that was all she knew. Merritt was the youngest, among other siblings adopted or fostered at different points in their life.
The only negative thing, if you could call it negative, was that money was tight. Most of her clothes and school uniforms were handed down from sisters or other community members who outgrew their plaids and button downs. Her home had dial-up internet well into the early aughts. Microsoft Word? She wrote her school papers on Notes until she had a library card and could be trusted to sit in the town library alone at age twelve. There were no iPods or *gasp* post-2008 iPhones. There were ripped CDs of Linkin Park and Michelle Branch, there were Joni Mitchell albums, and VHS tapes of Mork and Mindy, there was PBS children’s blocks and news hours, so in some ways, Merritt was a little behind. She didn’t catch up on modernization until maybe 2012 when she was finally allowed to make an instagram like the rest of her friends (she accessed it from her older sister’s phone and was very protective of her password)
Yet, those things didn’t bother her. Remember that library where she wrote her school essays? She spent lots of time there otherwise, reading of course but mainly writing. Merritt felt creative at heart, like her fingertips were electric and her ideas were visualized to perfection in her mind. Maybe it was a real talent. Merritt also knew she had a bit of a green thumb, an affinity for finches following her on walks, and a rather strong will to ensure that the school bully’s shoelaces were tied together during gym - even if she never actually did it herself.
Queens Lace was small, but not so small that Merritt struggled to find work. Of course no amount of money she made at a part time job would fully afford college, but she kept trying anyway. She liked the application process actually and nearly crashed down the stairs the day she got accepted to a university in New York. Merritt pleaded, she begged, she wrote god-damn play about how desperately she wanted to go. With some reluctance for their baby leaving, eventually Mr. and Mrs. Harding agreed - as long as Merritt kept her scholarship and work study all four years.
It was a done deal.
It was in the city that she ran into some more...esoteric figures. Maybe they saw something more in her than she had figured, but it wasn’t long before Merritt realized she had some abilities that were best defined as calling herself a witch.
That was just back burner stuff during undergrad, she was too busy being a Creative Writing major. It reminded her of the electrified feeling she got at the library writing, writing, and writing as a kid. But post graduation, Merritt found herself a little stuck. So she applied for grants and decided to stick around the city for her MFA in Creative Writing, letting her other practice take more root at this time.
Now at age twenty four, graduating with her masters degree and identifying as a fully fledged witch, she returned home this summer to Queens Lace for the first time. Well not the first time, but the most prolonged visit since she first made the switch to college. The town has a different vibration now, and the whispers concern her.
She’d been gone for a few years and was returning, not just lost with what to do with her life, but with a new part of her identity at maybe not such a great time to be calling herself a witch. That’ll stay on the DL for now.
Merritt is staying at home for now, she’s not sure if she’ll settle back in Queen’s Lace. But for now, volunteering at the library along with her freelance writing contracts is enough to keep her afloat.

How to protect your eyes during the solar eclipse?
Tumblr media
Either directly employing an eclipse viewer or indirectly employing a pinhole projector is the safest approach to safeguard your eyes throughout a partial eclipse. It is safe to take off your eye protection by aas astronomy and take in the scenery during totality when the moon totally covers the sun.
When watching an eclipse indirectly during its partial phases, aim your gaze toward an eclipse shadow or a solar projection rather than the sun itself. One simple method is to face the sun and make a waffle-like pattern with your fingers. The tiny holes create a pinhole effect that projects a representation of the sun onto the ground. You will watch the projected picture of the sun change from round to crescent as the eclipse happens.
Why looking at the sun is dangerous when there is a partial eclipse?
This is easy to cure and heals really fast, but until it heals, it can be extremely unpleasant and cause cloudy vision. This may result in solar retinopathy, or retinal damage, to the retina on the back of the eye. The retina is comparable to the film in a camera analogy. A damaged film will result in a damaged photograph. In a similar vein, injury to the retina may also impair our eyesight. There will be more harm done the longer you gaze at the sun. Damage from photochemistry accumulates. Short bursts of time spent staring at the sun won't shield you from the accumulated damage. This might result in short-term or long-term alterations to your vision in the centre, which is mostly dependent on it for daily activities including driving, watching TV, playing catch, and threading a needle.
The alterations might include hazy vision, distorted vision, altered sense of color, or a blind spot in your center vision. By using appropriate eclipse viewers by American astronomical society aas to observe the eclipse directly or indirectly, you may easily prevent the potential lifetime repercussions that could lower your quality of life.
I want to see the partial eclipse, but what can I use besides eclipse glasses? How come I can't wear sunglasses?
Welding filters that have a shade value of 12 or above are likewise safe to use. Although a shade level of 12 is safe, it might be very bright, hence aas astronomy advises using a shade value of 13 or 14 for maximum comfort. I wouldn't advise attempting to get one unless you already own one because they may be hard to obtain in supply stores.  No matter how black they seem or how many of them people wear, sunglasses cannot provide this amount of protection, thus it is not safe to look directly at the sun or a partial eclipse while wearing them.

Taking the Confusion Out Of Assistive Technology
What is a switch adapted toy/device and who would use it?
If a person has an inability to use their hands to push buttons or manipulate toys, then those items need to be adapted so a switch can be plugged into them. A switch is a button, lever or device that senses movement. These allow people with disabilities larger buttons to push, or in some cases even sensitive levers or sensors that recognize very small movements. Some users activate these switches with their hands, some with their heads, knees, feet, or other body parts that they can consistently move.
Toys or devices, such as caregiver alerts, that have been modified electronically to let you plug the switch into it. Then when the switch is pressed, the toy or device will begin working. Depending on the toy or device, some will work only when the switch is pressed, and some will continue working for a limited amount of time after the switch has been released. (These are usually toys that play through a song before stopping.)
Switches:
Switches come in a variety of styles, sizes, and colors. We happen to carry several styles of switches. Usually the choice of switch is dependent on the user and the circumstance of the use. Brightly colored switches are best for individuals with limited attention, CVI, or visual impairments. For users with poor motor skills who can’t accurately locate a smaller target area, try a switch with a larger surface area such as the Big Mack. If fine motor skills are intact, you can look at a switch with a smaller surface area. Our Switch It Up! is perfect for switch users with adequate ability to locate a 3” surface and apply a moderate amount of pressure. For individuals with extremely limited movement (such as SMA, ALS) try a micro switch such as our Micro Switch or Micro Light. Some switch users can’t use their hands. So, other switch placements must be explored. There are chin switches, pillow switches (which are great for head activations, especially while in bed), and many other switch types. If you have a special situation and can’t decide which switch would be best, contact us for assistance. Below are some examples of switches.
Switch Adapted toys or devices:
These are toys or devices that have been adapted to allow a switch to be plugged into them. Nearly all of our toys or devices are already adapted to accept a switch. They are designated by this symbol:  The few that aren't adapted will be listed as such on our site. Some toys only play while the switch is being activated, while others will allow the user to press and release their switch to activate the toy for a short duration before it stops on its own. Since each toy is different, we try to give information in the description of the toy and also provide videos of most toys. In the videos, you will see the switch either being pressed and held, or pressed and released to make the toy "go".
Interfaces that go between a switch and a toy/device allow a user press and release their switch to keep the toy "going" once they release their switch. This is called latching. Or, you can set it to timer mode where once the user presses and releases their switch, the toy will continue to activate for a preset period of time (as set by the interface). For battery operated toys, this interface is a Switch, Latch, Timer (SLAT). For items that plug in, the interface would be the Powerlink. These interfaces do not work with toys that go for a short duration on their own (i.e., recite a song or story, or otherwise 'go' even after the switch has been released) and they do not work with items such as CD players.
Battery interrupters:
Battery interrupters allow the adaption of a battery operated toy to be easily adapted to use a switch. Simply insert our battery interrupter between "AA", "AAA", "C", or "D" batteries and make most items switch activated. This is a great option if you have a favorite toy or vocational-related device that needs to be adapted. They work with devices that have an on/off switch. and do not required the pressing of a button, squeezing or remote controlled. Choose the size based on the battery size your device uses.

Fankids rant
When the brain hyperfixes on your own characters
This is just a bunch of stuff thrown together about my fankids.
None of this is going to be organized.
----
(I just realized the photos might be out of order so for reference Casy is the one with black hair and Cain is the one with blonde)
My fankids are Casy(pronounced cai-see[Casey] instead of cas-sie because cannon hates me), Garcia and Cain Carter.
In the beta timeline, Cain is Casy's gurdian as his older cousin and vice verse in the alpha timeline.
They're both half-mexican, i don't know why they have different last names.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Casy Garcia 13(at the start of sburb), 16(current) He/they Unlabeled 5'1
Here's an old-ish intro:
ENTER NAME
Your name is CASEY. But for the sake of cannon you begrudgingly also accept CASY. Screw the e. Is it now CAS-E or CA-SY? This is an incredible miniscule and dumb thing to be thinking about but it still bothers you anyways. For clarification it's pronounced CAES-E. Long A sound. CAY-SEE. That's not a long a sound is it?
It is nowhere NEAR your BIRTHDAY, nor do you really CARE. It's too far away to even being thinking about.
There's nothing particularly interesting going on in this moment. Then again you are completely FINE with nothing interesting happening. You like doing absolutely JACK SHIT and wasting your time doing NOTHING. It's practically the same thing.
Your interests include a variety of POCKET-MONSTER FRANCHISES such as POKÉMON, BAKUGAN and DIGIMON. If someone mentions how much better DIGIMON is than POKÉMON then you are promptly, going lose your mind. It's simply NOT TRUE.
Of course you have more INTERESTS than just those things. You aren't a complete LOSER. Yeah you're not fooling yourself either. You spend ample amount of time DRAWING, even if you claim that you're not very good at it. It's a work in progress. You also like SLEEPING. Who the hell doesn't. This is how much of a LOSER that you are. You don't even have enough interests to make this interesting.
You have an APPRECIATION for most things in the EARLY 2010's. INCLUDING but not limited to, WEB-COMICS, CREEPYPASTAS and other things you can't be bothered to recall. WARRIOR CATS is also one of them and you SHAMELESSLY will not admit that you may or may not ROLEPLAY as said WARRIOR CATS. You warily kick back your metaphorical drawings of you ocs under your metaphorical bed. No one needed to know this.
Just recently you've ASENDED the peak of being a LOSER and got yourself interested in the HORRORS any sane person calls D&D. Do you understand any of it? Hell no but it's cool as hell. This is why you have no irl friends.
You have a INCREDIBLY ANNOYING HABBIT that's called PROCRASTINATION. There's many ways you could get around this issue, but you don't really feel like it. Ironic.
What will you probably not do?
---
Your pesterchum handle is [AA] apprehensiveAnomaly and you type with all lower case, making sure to end each sentence with a period for punctuality. You have no idea if you used that word right, but it sounds cool so you don't bother to fix it.
Your STRIFE SPECUIBUS is Yo-yo kind, showing off the one sick yo-yo move you know how to do. Most of the time you just end up with a tangled up yo-yo though.
--
Casy dreams on Derse and is a Mage of Mind.
TrollAu: He's a gold blood with a more neon purple and yellow for his color scheme. Only his psyonics works in one of his eyes, the left one which is purple. The other is just yellow.
---
Okay that's enough about him now onto Cain.
Tumblr media
Cain Carter 16(current) He/him Gay 5'6
I don't have a lot for him yet but I have a half finished intro:
You speak often with 80s SLANG. Why? Because it's RADICAL. Much to the dismay of EVERYONE AROUND YOU.
You enjoy PLAYING BASKETBALL as a choice of SPORT. But RECENTLY, you've been unable to play due to AN UNFORTUNATE EVENT of you THROWING your BALL at a WINDOW in ANGER. Causing the WINDOW to shatter and your BALL deflate in DEFEAT.
You also have a SECRECT HOBBY, not even your closest friends know about. You SECRECTLY enjoy playing D&D. But you wouldn't tell anyone that. You don't want to be seen as a NERD. Imagine that.
Your PESTERCHUM HANDLE IS [AA]abstractedAdversary. Thank goodness none of your friends have the same abrievation otherwise that would get confusing fast.
Your STRIFE SPESIBUS is BatKind. Even though...you don't play baseball? Where did this come from? Must've belonged to your OLDER COUSIN. Oh well, now it's yours.
--- Cain dreams on Prospit(is that even allowed? Can like the ectobio relatives dream on different moons? Idfk) and is a Heir of Heart
If he was a troll he'd be a Bronze blood hiding as a Fushia. I don't know how but he'd figure it out how to pull it off. Why would he try and disguise himself as a troll where's there only one living at a time? No idea, it's Cain.
---
um i think thats mostly everything so heres so random pesterlogs

He has some anger issues and frustrations that he’s actively suppressing and he's definitely not keen on others telling him what to do when it comes to "fixing his emotions." He's in his final year of college and is already mulling over dropping out, despite the semester having just barely started. Nothing is interesting to him anymore. He doesn't see the point in finishing his web tech degree now that everything he feels he’s best at is being automated, and it's only going to get worse, he's sure of it. He's already overwhelmed with his student loans and the pressure from his family to settle down and go through the standard, nuclear family motions, but he doesn't want anything to do with that. Not now. All he wants to do is make his money and go, maybe skip town, and travel the world to find his place in it. He's always on time, he does what he needs to, but he doesn't understand how any of his coworkers can have fun doing what they do, and he's kinda mad at himself for not knowing how to have fun right along with them.
Leslie Aitken
Age: 35 || Birthday: July 11th ♋ || Traits: Essence of Flavor, Perfectionist, Good, Foodie
Leslie is the head cook at Pontecorvo and started working there 5 years ago a little after the current owner, Nate, took over and breathed new life into the place after the founder's sudden passing. He is originally from Jamaica and immigrated to the states with his wife of 12 years, Demetria, about 10 years ago so she could study radiology. Leslie has always had a passion for food and essentially took the job on a whim to indulge in his dreams to be a professional chef, as well as to support his wife in her studies. He works mostly the opening shifts, and is in charge of the lunch to midday prep. That includes checking on the dough the night shift cook prepares for the next day’s service and preparing the pizza sauce, which Nate swears is the best sauce in the world, but Leslie's not really sure about that. All he does is double the amount of garlic and oregano in the original recipe... just don't tell Nate that, okay. His job may not be as glamorous as most chefs might want it to be, but he has enjoyed learning about Italian cuisine from the Lazio region and has really grown to appreciate working with flavors outside of those he’s used to at home. Maybe in the future he’ll move on and start his own restaurant where he can cook whatever he pleases, but in the meantime, he’s happy where he’s at and loves the friends he’s made in the kitchen here.
DeVon "Von" Norton
Age: 21 || Birthday: August 9th ♌ || Traits: Dastardly, Insider, Romantic, Bro
Von is currently a student at Duke university and used to have a full-ride scholarship to play college basketball there, but a DUI scandal last semester caused him to be kicked off the team, which in turn cost him scholarship. He doesn’t like talking about it, but losing his scholarship really threw him into a loop, making him regret not taking his high school guidance counselor’s advice on having a backup plan more seriously. Von was really banking on getting drafted into some MBA team once he graduated, but who knows what will happen now. Now he’s stuck stressing over financial aid, and balancing his personal, going to AA meetings or community service one day and then working at Pontecorvo's the next to help pay his fines and rent. It's pretty obvious that he's still bitter about his situation, but he's doing his best to keep a level head, especially since Nate —the pizza boss man, as Von calls him— made so many arrangements to help Von out, like allowing Von to carry out delivers on a motorized bicycle, since he can't drive anymore. Von is, however —and unfortunately— painfully aware that he's good looking, and he's also a huge flirt. Two facts about him that are now starting to affect his work. He simply won't stop chatting up costumers when business is slow, and now half the joint's yelp reviews are about him, with a surprising 50/50 split between negative and positive responses, strangely enough. What can he say, maybe he really is destined to be a player, just not the type he originally thought.
