Part 1
characters: Nahida, zhongli, Raiden/Ei, Scaramouche/wanderer, Xiao/alatus, Venti, dottore, Albedo, aether/lumine/traveler and abyss prince/princess, dainsleif, azhdaha, miko, celestial
Note: I put the celestials and zhongli even though I already did them because I forgot to put in what they would do if you finally are in Teyvat. Also, some characters don't have their own section, just in someone's else. [Like Miko in Ei's]
Warning: Some have slight NSFW, but technically, it's mostly SFW, slight yandere or maybe just full on yandere and obsessed. Idk-
[They all wonder why you're calling them your baby girl(s)—]
//
Celestials might be a little greedy for trying to convince or guilt trap you to stay with them a bit longer.....
//
Zhongli. [ I know I already did zhongli, but I didn't put in what happened when you finally got into teyvat] he was so thrilled. If he was in his dragon body, his tail would've been wagging like a dog. His knees became weak by your presence. He just wanted you to touch him. He finally felt the warmth...although azhdaha just had to steal you from him! He also had a dragon form, so why don't you ask him to transform into it? You could see him in a corner with a slight frown [pout]. At least he gets head pats. [He'll get spoiled sooner or later 🤭]
//
Xiao. He was loyal to zhongli for sure, but you? He is obsessed with you. When he was alatus, you were the light who he always kept precious. You gave him warmth all those torturous years. You were the reason he could endure it before zhongli had finally saved him from it. He didn't know you were the creator. But when he finally knew, he was so happy. You were always with him, giving everyone hope and the same warmth that you gave him to the others and his friends. Why are you keeping giving him tofu to summon him? He's so very grateful for your cooking and thoughts, but you don't need to. Just call his name with your beautiful voice. You still do it though, which makes him slightly flustered as you can see the tips of his ears go red as he greets you. He was so, SO flustered and shy when you let him on your lap and hug you or lay on it. His eyes went heavy as he closed them. The first time in his whole life, he had a wonderful dream....(of you)
Nahida. Honestly, she felt really happy with you. Even when she was locked away, she felt you reaching for her. She still could feel the warmth, and that's why she's still having hope for someone to save her. Since she is literally the god of knowledge, she already knew you were the creator. Honestly, when you finally went to Teyvat, she didn't expect to be your child suddenly. Although she's not complaining! She loves it when you smother her with your parently love. [You totally did not try to beat the soul out of the grand sages for locking her up, and people, even some of the archons, had to hold you down-]
//
Ei would be concerned. Who was interfering with her eternity? She didn't know how to react. She always some what felt guilty whenever she did the vision hunt degree. She ignored it all, though. Until when the traveler showed her the beauty of inazuma. It was so different from what it was before...'Maybe it wasn't so bad after all.' She thought. She had noticed that one thing that stayed the same forever was the warmth she felt. She soon found out the warmth was from the creator! Oh, she was so happy. She would make a room that would eternity be dedicated to you! When you appeared in Teyvat, she would be so dang nervous. She wants to be perfect for you. Everything must be! She was going to send Raiden in her place but didn't expect you to personally come over to her! She tried giving you a tour, but she didn't really go outside much, so....yeah, you're technically giving her one instead.. but at least you enjoy braiding her hair for her as Miko is sitting on your lap in her fox form. She's very fluffy when you pet her. [She would be so embarrassed and will malfunction if you ask how she can pull out her sword from her—]
//
Scaramouche would try to hunt you down honestly. Like who tf are you?? And where the heck are you?? (Imagine you haunt him and keep whispering, "You're shorttt") he was so ready to beat the crap out of you. But he just had to get used to it since he was busy becoming a God. And when he did, he felt your presence once again but clearer. He again ignores it and continues with the fight, which comes with a loss. He had become wanderer now, and he told Nahida that he thinks someone is stalking him. Nahida finally tells him that you're the all mighty creator. So you have been with him this whole time...? Why? He wonders If you forgive him for his sins.... why were you....calling him scarameow?? Is that perhaps another language for something? What does it mean? But it's fine. He still loves you. He got jealous one time and became a 'doll' for your entertainment. He's been doing that a few times. He liked it when one time you manhandled danced with him or even dressed him up [with lingerie]
//
Oh Venti, that drunkard bard. Oh, how he always speaks about you. He loved you so much. You always played as the wind when he was just a spirit. He always talked to you, although you can't talk, the wind tells him everything. He loved you so dearly. You always protected him in the war. You protected all the people. He understands that you can't stop people from dying of age. It's fate. But you had always accompanied him and his friend. That's all he needs, and he's grateful for it. He already knew you were the creator. The wind tells him everything. He didn't think that he would accidentally make the creator drunk! He promised he was drunk when he offered a drink to you! Or when he falls happily on your lap and arms by falling from the tree that was surrounded by a cat. [He also didn't expect the wonderful view of you on the side of the bed.....naked.....wait, WHAT— [ I mean...he's not complaining besides not having the ability to walk...or think anything besides you and how good you fu—]
//
Oh dottore. At first, he did not at all care about you. Even when worshipping the creator was public and a thing, he wasn't exactly dedicated. Until he found some ancient script of mechanics and bunch of successful experiments of creatures you did. He did some research and it turns out that those creatures was friendly to you and you did those experiments not so gruesome. So that's why they didn't hold a grudge at you. He became more interested and now it's apart of the research he's doing. And even experiments perhaps. He didn't know thr warm fuzzy feeling in his chest when he saw you smile in those ancient script. Although he may have kept it all a secret until all of the harbingers [except scaramouche because this is the time where he erases himself from all memories] finally found out about it. Oh how he felt when he finally gazes at your body. You looked so much better in the script. He always seek you out for experiments and research. You have the knowledge that even Irminsul doesn't have. Although his constant touch, glances and the way he looks at you with a slight red face doesn't go unnoticed by you when he conduct an experiment on you. [He couldn't forget the 'experiment' conduct on you last night ♥︎]
○ —○ — ○ — experimenters— ○ —○ — ○ — ○
Albedo. He's exactly opposite from dottore at the start, he was obsessed with you. He worshiped you with so many new creations from his experiments and thanked you for uniting him with Klee. At first, he didn't know about you and was curious why he always felt a comforting presence until aunt Alice told him that it was you, their creator, his creator.
He found statues of you that were cracked and was leaking a certain gold liquid. There was scroll. It seems that you made it with your own blood. He researched your statue and conducted careful experiments. He was a little...too fascinated about your body. Drawing you in robes, poses, and even....drew doing stuff to him. He took such care and worshiped it as if it was really you.... you looked way more divine than the statue that you carved yourself. He always wanted you to ask you....."What's the purpose of me existing?"
[You can insert your thoughts if you want, but here's my response to it]
"(1.) There's none. You just exist. I just create you. But...(2.) You can make yourself a purpose. A reason to live out your lives I gave you all. Like you, perhaps you make your own purpose to live is to make Klee happy."
His eyes glinted as you chuckled. He had been in deep thought for a few weeks. Then suddenly, he smiled. 'Perhaps.....'
Dottore and Albedo would 10/10 would be literal vampires. Including zhongli, I swear. The moment they taste your blood as an experiment or accident, they will crave for more. (I know they will literally moan in delight when they tasted it.)
//
Traveler and abyss prince/princess. How they both felt it. Your warmth. Traveler accepts it with open arms. Traveler thanked you for supporting them to find their sibling. But the abyss prince/princess isn't so fond about accepting it. They don't need your pity.... but they guess they can take it once in a while, you did offer to them, didn't you? Oh, Dainsleif. He doesn't think he should accept it. He wants to, but he is not worthy. But once in a while, when he falls asleep, his lips curve into a smile as he bask in your warmth. They can be selfish, right? You did offer you warmth after all..... The abyss prince/princess tries to kidnap— I mean *cough* *cough* take you away but the Traveler holds onto your arm, not letting go. The abyss prince/princess argues that when the time comes after they finally finish their journey, they can find a home with you! But the traveler pouts and still won't budge. Dainsleif just watches in the background, conflicted. Although....that doesn't mean he didn't have the desire to keep you with him either...

At Arm's Length
Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: After being forced into a marriage with the twenty-five men— technically, you agreed to it, so you weren't really forced into it, you couldn't help but yearn for a genuine connection with the men. You end up expressing your feelings about your marriage with your twenty-five husbands to Lumine, who is also your sister in law.
Note: Short-ish fic for this week since it's been a hectic week for me ;v; Not really sure how I feel about this fic since I do feel burned out from not only school but from writing fanfics as well 😵‍💫 It's a new quarter for me, and I'm just trying to keep up with school, my readings, and writings. I don't think this would count as angst, but just to be safe, I won't be tagging people that don't want to be tagged in angst or hurt/comfort. Next week's fic might be either Tagic Outcomes or Caught in the Crossfire since it's been a while since I've typed something for those two fics. I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: Would marriage count as a warning?
Word Count: 7k
This strange relationship you have with twenty-five men— it’s fake. There are no feelings attached, no physical touch or intimacy. No strings attached, as your world would call it. Usually, relationships that have no strings attached to them would be friends with benefits. You hate the friends-with-benefits title. It sounds depressing to you because it’s a “friendship” between two people where they do everything a typical relationship would have, only there are no romantic feelings involved.
You have been in that situation before, but it ended fast because you wanted to be more than that, and the person left because you broke the number one rule. Not to catch any feelings, and that is what you did. Oh, what a fool you are. How could you, a hopeless romantic, be in that kind of situation? You didn’t expect to be in an arranged marriage situation with twenty-five men from an open-world game you’ve been obsessed with for quite some time.
A stack of paper is slammed on the table in front of you, pulling you out of your thoughts. You look up at the older woman, who looks like she does not want to show up to work today.
“Please sign your first and last name here, and your… husbands will sign their names after,” the lady instructs, sliding a large stack of paper toward you.
You look at the stack of papers with wide eyes. These are marriage certificates, and you have to sign twenty-five pieces of paper. You turn to look at the twenty-five men standing two feet behind you. Pierro nods as if he’s signaling for you to go ahead and sign the papers. The majority of the men look uninterested, almost bored.
You swallow the lump in your throat and turn to look at the papers laid out in front of you. Marriage certificate, huh? You will be legally binded to the twenty-five men for who knows how long— perhaps until they all get bored of you and leave you one day without any notice. Just the thought of being abandoned so suddenly makes your heart clench. How did you end up in a situation like this?
The woman sitting at the front desk clears her throat, raising her eyebrows at you. “Are you going to sign the papers or not?” She asks with an attitude.
Your face heats up with embarrassment while you mutter an apology before grabbing the pen lying beside the stack of papers. You begin to sign your name on the marriage certificates. A marriage certificate is a contract, and contracts can’t be broken unless necessary. Well, at least that’s what you assume. You don’t have much knowledge when it comes to contracts, but a certain former Archon may know a thing or two about contracts.
After signing all twenty-five marriage certificates, you step to the side and let each man sign their name on the paper. Each paper is a marriage certificate between you and one man. While you’re technically married to twenty-five men at once, the marriage certificate and the government of the men’s respective regions (if they have one) state that you’re married to one man. Though, you have no idea how that’s going to work out since most of these men live in the same region as the other.
“There. It’s been done,” Xiao says, grabbing your attention.
You watch each man hand their pens over to the lady behind the desk. She takes the pen and begins to put the marriage certificates in a white envelope with gold borders. You walk to the woman, who begins to hand you each envelope.
You’re not sure how this works or how it’ll work. You weren’t prepared for marriage, nor did you plan on getting married so soon. The stack of envelopes in your arms starts becoming heavy the more the woman stacks one envelope over the other. While the envelope is thick and glossy, holding the stacks in your arms feels like lead. The woman puts one last envelope on the stack and nods.
“You’re all dismissed,” she says.
You and the men walk out of the building without saying a word to each other. I mean, what’s there to say after something like this? These men found you unconscious outside of Dragonspine. When you came to consciousness, you were met with various weapons pointing at your face. It took you a while to reassure them that you’re not a threat— how can you be a threat when you don’t have a vision or any weapons on your person?
Tensions are high, and silence hangs in the air. The tension is so thick you can suffocate in it. The sun is high in the sky, the birds are chirping, and the civilians are going on with their day, unaware of the situation.
You break the silence. “You guys are acting like I’m forcing all of you to marry me when I never brought up that idea. We can go back to the clerk and destroy the certificates if that makes you all happy,” you said.
“There’s no need to go back to the clerk to have the marriage certificates destroyed. What’s done is done, and you cannot break a contract once it's signed by the party involved,” Diluc says.
Archons, you hate this so much. You weren’t the one that brought the idea up to the men. It was them that suggested it for your “protection.” Ever since you revealed to them that you weren’t from their universe, they suggested that you should get married to them so that they can protect you from the Abyss and other potential harms that could come your way.
Because you know too much about what happened in their world that they’re unaware of, it was best for them to be betrothed to you to protect you and your identity. At least that’s what you were told. Quite frankly, there could be a better alternative. Still, the twenty-five men were adamant about the marriage option, and you weren’t sure why. You didn’t want to start any more issues with them, so you went along with their choice, and now here you are— married to twenty-five men.
A few months go by, and it’s been a few months since you have been “married” to the twenty-five men, and while you’re their significant other, they keep you at arm's length. Everything feels awkward between you and the men. They weren’t cold or rude to you. They didn’t mistreat you or make you feel alienated from the rest. You’re unsure if it’s because of your lack of relationship experience or if it was something else because everything felt awkward.
Since you are legally their partner for however long, the twenty-six of you need to put on a show to prove that your marriage is legitimate and not illegitimate. No matter where you all are, you have to get used to calling each other partners. They’re your husbands, and you are their spouse.
You’re going to be really honest here. It feels like you’re putting more effort into this role than these men are. It almost feels like you’re the only person that is trying to make it work despite how awkward it is. After all, it feels like an arranged marriage because these men don’t have feelings toward you— at least, that’s what you’re assuming. Since you’re not a citizen in Teyvat, you spend your time at the abode, cleaning, cooking, and watering the plants in the backyard because there’s nothing for you to do, really.
Instead of Thoma cooking food for everyone, you’re the one that does it. Of course, Thoma was opposed to it at first, but you insisted on cooking because they have jobs and duties to tend to, whereas you’re at the estate doing house duties.
You wake up around close to six in the morning to start your day. While you hated waking up early in the morning, you thought getting up before everyone else would make the men feel relieved in a way. After all, you don’t work or go to school. You could apply to Sumeru Akademiya and be a student there, but it would raise some suspicions, according to Al Haitham and Kaveh.
You’re not a fan of waking up at an early time, but ever since you and the twenty-five men have signed the marriage contract, you have been making it a habit to get up early in the morning to start your day ahead of everyone’s schedule. You’re standing in the kitchen in your pajamas, packing twenty-five lunches for each man. You made sure to cook their favorite dishes and include some snacks from the regions they’re from. It’s a lot to do, but you’re getting the hang of it.
“And we’re done!” You mutter to yourself, sighing in relief when you wrap the last lunch bag for the last man.
You yawn and stretch your arms in the air. You lined the lunch bags next to each other, labeling each bag with the men’s names on it so they wouldn’t mix up their lunch bags with someone else’s bags. That would’ve been a disaster if it did happen. You rub your eyes and walk to the stove, cracking eggs into the pan and begin to cook yourself some breakfast.
The kitchen door creaks open. You turn your head to see Thoma walking into the kitchen dressed for the day but with a bedhead. You crack a smile and look away before Thoma can see it. Thoma hums softly, walking over to where you’re standing.
“Morning, Thoma. I hope you slept well last night,” you said softly, cooking the eggs before you while Thoma dug through the refrigerator for water.
“I slept well. I hope you slept well, too, because it’s almost seven in the morning, and I don’t understand how you’re able to pack everyone's lunch before we all wake up,” Thoma murmurs, leaning against the counter beside you after grabbing a cup of water to drink.
You shrug. “It’s not as easy as I hoped it would be. That’s all I can say. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, and I have to make sure to prepare the ingredients the day prior,” you reply.
You look at the clock hanging on the wall and reach for the spatula. It’s almost time for everyone to get up for work, and Thoma is the only person that is awake. You’re not sure whether it’s because Thoma is used to getting up early ahead of every other man in the estate or if he’s used to waking up early because of his duties at the Kamisato Estate. But either way, you’re happy to have some kind of company, even if it’s short-lived.
“Thoma, it seems like you have yet to fix your bedhead,” the voice of the Kamisato heir breaks the short silence between you and the housekeeper of the Kamisato Estate.
Thoma laughs and rubs the back of his neck. “I tried to fix it, but there’s no use in getting it down when it’s stubborn,” Thoma sighs in defeat.
You continue to cook your breakfast while Thoma and Ayato hang out in the kitchen, chatting quietly near the island of the kitchen. You grab a plate and scoop the eggs, putting them on the plate while debating whether you should cook some bacon to go with your eggs for breakfast or not. The kitchen door opens once again, and more men walk into the kitchen, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes while muttering under their breaths.
You let out a silent gasp and smack yourself in the forehead, mentally cursing yourself for being forgetful. How could you make lunch for your husbands to take to work when you forget to brew them coffee and tea?! Dammit, dammit, dammit!
“Don’t hit yourself!” Scaramouche grumbles, smacking your hand away from your face with a small scowl on his face.
“Yeah! There’s nothing to beat yourself over. You made us lunch like you promised,” Gorou says, grabbing the small lunch sack from the kitchen island.
You sigh and rub your throbbing temples. “Of course, I would make you all lunch to bring to work with you all, but I forgot to brew coffee and tea for you guys,” you murmur. “Archons, how could I be so stupid and forget that?”
“You’re not stupid for forgetting to brew tea and coffee for us, [Y/N]. You were occupied with cooking lunch for twenty-five of us. There’s nothing worth beating yourself over,” Dainsleif says, walking over to the coffee pot.
“I’ll do better next time, I promise. My forgetfulness has caused everyone to be late for work,” you mutter, chewing on your bottom lip.
Childe throws his arms over your shoulders and pats your head. “Late for work? The clock just struck seven! If anything, we’re up pretty early, and we should leave the house not too long from now. Plus, some of us don’t thrive on coffee and tea,” Childe says.
“You do not need to worry about anything. You’re doing fine, and none of us are upset with you just because you forgot about coffee and tea. Plus, you cooked lunch for the twenty-five of us to bring to work. The least we can do is make our coffee and tea,” Al Haitham says, entering the kitchen with a peeved Kaveh following behind.
Kaveh stands beside you, crossing his arms over his chest with his chest puffing out. You look at Kaveh worriedly and lightly tap his arm. Kaveh continues to glare at Al Haitham before looking at you. You freeze for a moment when he looks at you with the same expression on his face. Kaveh notices your change in demeanor before relaxing.
Kaveh pats your head. “Sorry, [Y/N]! That glare wasn’t for you. It’s for that idiot over there with his stupid noise-canceling headphones,” Kaveh says, shooting a glare over at the Acting Grand Sage.
You weren’t sure if Al Haitham didn’t hear what Kaveh said because of his noise-canceling headphones or if he was intentionally ignoring Kaveh’s comment. You smile at Kaveh and pat his arm lightly before continuing what you were doing before the other men entered the kitchen. Once everyone is awake and ready for work, you pass everyone their lunch bags with their names on them.
You stand by the door of the estate and bid them goodbyes as they walk out the door. Some men pat your head on their way out, and others either give you a hug or squeeze your shoulders. Despite being married to them for a few months, this is the only kind of affection you were getting from the twenty-five men.
Just when Baizhu is about to close the estate’s door, you quickly stop him by grabbing his wrist. Baizhu stops in his tracks and turns to look at you, surprised and confused. You release Baizhu’s wrist and give him a strained smile.
“Remember to take your medication, alright? I know you work at Bubu Pharmacy, and your job is to take care of others and give your patients their medication, but please take care of yourself as well,” you whisper.
Baizhu looks at you with surprise before giving you a warm smile. Baizhu chuckles softly and pats your head, almost ruffling your hair. You laugh quietly and grab Baizhu’s hand, gently squeezing them.
Baizhu nods. “Of course, I’ll take care of myself. I promise,” Baizhu says, making a crossing motion over his chest.
Baizhu leans over you and presses a kiss on your forehead before walking out the door, leaving you at the entrance of the estate, speechless. You touch your forehead, feeling heat rush to your cheeks. You press your lips into a thin line to prevent yourself from smiling widely. You close the estate’s door and lock it.
Before you and the men got married for your safety and to keep Teyvat at peace, they promised to each other and to themselves that they would keep you at arm's length. You’re sweet and down to earth, but because some of them have dangerous professions and you’re not from their world, they wanted to keep this distance between you and them. Your husbands do not hate you, and they’ve made it very clear on multiple occasions.
“If we seem cold toward you, we do not hate you. We don’t hold any disdain toward you, nor do we hold any grudges toward you.” Cyno would say as he is sitting across from you.
You nod and dig your nail into the wrinkly skin of your right ring finger— a bad habit of yours when you were a child that dragged on to your adulthood. You usually dig your nails into the wrinkly skin of your right ring finger when you’re stressed, nervous, or bored. It doesn’t hurt at all, nor could you feel it.
Tighnari clears his throat. “Do you have any other questions?” Tighnari asks, gazing at you curiously.
You hum to yourself and tap your fingers on your thighs. “I want to know why some of you will be acting cold toward me,” you mutter, puckering your lips.
“To be fair, some of us do it unintentionally,” Albedo interjects.
You couldn’t help but agree with Albedo on that. Some men do come off as standoffish and cold even though they’re not. It’s how they are to people in general, not just you. For example, Xiao is standoffish, but that doesn’t mean he hates you or holds any grudges toward you. If anything, Xiao wanted to distance himself from you because of his karmic debt, and because you’re mortal and don’t have a vision, he doesn’t want to harm you in any way or put you in harm's way.
“Just don’t do anything reckless that could put you in danger,” Pierro comments, leaning against the wall.
You bite the inside of your cheek. You don’t think you can guarantee that— staying away from danger, you mean. It’s not like you intentionally dive headfirst into danger without warning! You’re getting married to Archons, Harbingers, an Adeptus, a Knight, and many notable figures of Teyvat. There’s bound to be danger in almost every corner now that you’re associated with these men.
The men stare at you intently while you stare off into space, gnawing on the inside of your cheek. That’s another habit of yours the men noticed almost right off the bat. When you’re deep in thought, you tend to zone out and are not aware of your surroundings. It’s almost like your head is always in the clouds. It’s almost endearing in a way, but your head being in the clouds could also be the reason for your downfall.
“What’s on your mind?” Heizou asks, leaning back in his seat while watching you closely.
You sigh and chuckle to yourself. “I don’t have much going on in my mind, to be really honest. But I do have other questions, but I don’t think any of you are going to give me a clear answer,” you said.
Kazuha sits beside you and gazes at you curiously. You clear your throat and look away, feeling heat slowly creep up your neck. He’s even prettier in person. You wonder if Kazuha knows how pretty he is because he’s breathtaking. Then again, the twenty-four other men are just as stunning as Kazuha.
“If you want, you can ask us now, and if we know the answer, we’ll tell you. If not, we’ll try to answer it when we have the answers,” Kazuha suggests, giving you a small smile.
You pursed your lips and debated whether you should ask the question. If you were to ask them the question, you worry you might receive the answer you didn’t want to hear. But if you don’t ask the question, you’ll never know what will happen or what to expect. Itto lets out a loud grunt and stands up, stretching his arms out in front of him.
Itto props his hands on his hips and gives you an encouraging smile. “Whatever question you have for us, I think some of us have the answer for it, depending on what it is!” Itto says, tilting his head to the side while gazing at you curiously.
How long will this marriage last? Is what you wanted to ask the men. How long will it last? A few weeks? A few months? A few years, maybe? How long? The time in Teyvat is vastly different from your world, you’re assuming. The days in Teyvat are much faster than the days in your world. You and the men never went out on a date to get to know one another or to form a bond with one another. Would the marriage be convincing because of the lack of bond between the twenty-six of you? Or, well, between you and each man?
“I don’t know if I want to ask the question,” you mutter shyly.
Venti giggles and trots over to you, throwing his arms around your shoulders and giving you a pat on the head. “It’s okay if you don’t want to ask the question! We won’t pry!” Venti says, releasing you from his hug before walking over to where he was standing previously.
Zhongli clears his throat. “I would like to remind you all that what we’re all getting into involves a contract. Everyone has to agree to sign this contract mutually. If one person does not agree, then the contract will be invalid,” Zhongli says, crossing his arms over his chest.
Right, you nearly forgot that marriage is a contract with the party involved. It’s not a relationship where people can break up and go their separate ways after. Marriage is a contract, and to get out of marriage is breaking a contract. It’s a long process, and people can’t walk away from it so easily.
You didn’t remember who proposed the idea of every one of them marrying you to keep you away from danger and to keep your real origins hidden from the rest of Teyvat. It’s strange to you that you have to marry notable figures to keep your identity hidden, even though that’s putting more spotlight and target on you. You don’t mind getting married to twenty-five handsome men but getting married to them so suddenly is something you didn’t expect.
“Are you listening?” Capitano asks gruffly.
You nod mindlessly. “I’m not opposed to continuing this process. I mean, it’s not like I have a choice, really,” you mutter.
“It’s for your safety. If word gets out that you’re not from our universe and you possess the knowledge of Teyvat, you will be hunted down by the Abyss,” Dottore interjects from the corner of the room.
You didn’t realize he was in the same room until now. Now that you think about it, these Harbingers are scattered around the large office inside Dawn Winery. You puckered your lips and leaned back in your seat, crossing your leg over the other.
You sigh and tilt your head back. “Is the Abyss really a threat to me right now? In case you all have forgotten, you’re all notable figures. Some of you are Harbingers and Knights—”
Diluc makes a disgusted noise.
“Some of you are Adeptis and Archons—”
Scaramouche rolls his eyes and pretends to gag. You stare at Diluc and Scaramouche blankly while the two avoid your eyes. You huff and stand up, propping your hands on your hips. You look at the other men in the room, who gazes at you cluelessly.
Kaeya smiles at you and waves. “Ignore Diluc. He was once a Knight as well, but now he holds a grudge against us,” Kaeya says nonchalantly.
Diluc rolls his eyes in response and glares at Kaeya from the corner of his eyes. You scratch your head, wondering how in the world this marriage is going to work out of some of these men hold grudges against certain groups of people, especially when the others are part of that group.
“So, what do you say? Do you agree to marry all twenty-five of us for your protection? This is also no strings attached, so you can do whatever you want without us controlling you. That applies to us as well.” Pantalone says, holding his hand out toward you.
You sigh for the trillionth time, staring at Pantalone’s hand. No strings attached? How would a marriage work if it’s no strings attached? There are many strings attached to marriages! That only applies if it’s a friends-with-benefits situation, but marriage? Does that even apply to marriages? This got you scratching your head because what?
“I’m not sure what you mean by no strings attached,” you mutter, furrowing your eyebrows. “But yes, I will marry you. All of you. Although I did not think this is how the marriage proposal is going to turn out….” you trailed off, grabbing Pantalone’s hand and shaking his hand.
Childe smirks, cocking an eyebrow at you. “Oh? Did you perhaps want us to dress fancy and make it special?” Childe asks.
“Yes.” you deadpan. “Honestly, if I was dating all of you and this is how you all propose to me, it would’ve been an automatic no,” you add.
“Huh!? Then what should we do to get you to say yes other than making it special?” Itto asks, giving you a look of disbelief.
You hum thoughtfully, tapping on your chin after releasing Pantalone’s hand. “Well, last time I checked, an engagement ring is involved. If we’re going to make this ‘real,’ there needs to be a ring, or else people won’t believe it,” you explain.
“Oh? Do you want us to get you an engagement ring?” Pierro asks, looking at you with an amused look on his face.
You feel your face heat up, and you look away with a “hmph!” The marriage is real, but at the same time, it’s not. Yes, a marriage certificate and license will be signed and given to the twenty-six of you, but this marriage is a loveless marriage. At least, that’s what you assume it’ll be. If you have to marry the twenty-five of them for your safety, you might as well make it convincing, right? Then again, you don’t want them to spend a lot of Mora over a ring.
“Yes, I do. I mean, unless people in Teyvat do it differently,” you mutter, stroking your chin. You shake your head and wave your hand. “You know what? Forget it. It’s not even a real marriage, so why should I want a ring to be involved?” You sigh.
Aether looks at you quizzically. “What do you mean? It is a real marriage,” Aether says.
“Not when the marriage is rushed, and none of you have feelings for me,” you mutter under your breath.
“Either way, the wedding is real because a contract is involved. If it were fake, the marriage license and certificate wouldn’t be signed, and it would’ve been more of a role play,” Tighnari interjects, shrugging his shoulders.
Well, Tighnari’s not wrong about that. Still, the marriage isn’t genuine between you and the twenty-five men. You shouldn’t be complaining when they’re doing it for your safety, but what Pantalone said really bothers you. A marriage that has no strings attached. How would that even work? You get attached easily!
“[Y/N].”
How would the men react if you told them you wanted the marriage to be real? By that, you mean you wanted them to love you as much as you love them. Is it too early to tell them you love them despite knowing them for only a short amount of time during your stay in Teyvat? I mean, you technically knew them longer than they know you because—
“[Y/N]!”
You feel something smack you in the face. You blink and rub the tip of your nose, looking at the item that fell onto your lap. A bread roll. You clear your throat and grab the bread, glancing up at Lumine, who sighs and props her head up on the table with her arm.
You put the bread roll on the plate, giving Lumine an apologetic smile. “Sorry, Lumine. I didn’t mean to get lost in my thoughts,” you said. “What were you saying?”
Lumine lets out a long sigh and leans back in her seat, staring at you closely while tapping her fingers on her biceps. “I was wondering how your marriage is going with those twenty-five men. Specifically, my twin brother,” Lumine says.
“Oh!” You look at her surprised, reminding Lumine of a startled fox she came across many times while on her and her brother’s exploration around Teyvat. “It’s… uh… it’s going!” You say, giving her a strained smile.
Lumine deadpans. “Listen, [Y/N]... I invited you to lunch at a lovely restaurant in Mondstadt so we can chat and catch up!” She leans on the table and looks at you worriedly. “You stared off into space for a while, and you look very upset, maybe almost annoyed as well,” Lumine says.
You gulp and reach for your teacup, sipping your now cold tea. Have you been spacing out for that long? You didn’t even realize it until Lumine snapped you out of your thoughts. You’re not sure if you should tell Lumine what’s been bothering you. Surely she knows the state of your and the twenty-five men’s marriage, right? Plus, it’s not like Aether would be hiding the truth of his marriage with you.
Lumine chuckles, shaking her head. “You know, when Aether told me he was getting married, I was genuinely shocked. My brother? Getting married? That’s something I never thought would happen.”
“It’s a loveless marriage, though,” you whisper in defeat, slumping forward and resting your chin on the table. “My marriage with these men is loveless. There are no strings attached, which I find odd because there’s no marriage like that! I mean… unless it’s an arranged marriage that is strictly business,” you mutter, pressing your lips into a thin line.
Lumine gives you a sympathetic look, reaching for your hand across the table, and gently squeezes your hand. “Have you expressed your desire of wanting the marriage to be real instead of it being an excuse to protect you and keep you within close range?” Lumine asks, chewing on the inside of her cheek.
You shake your head glumly.
Lumine looks at you with confusion and tilts her head to the side. “Why not? I mean, marriage involves a lot of communication, right? How would the marriage work out if none of you are communicating about your wants, worries, and desires?” Lumine asks.
“Lumine, these men barely show me affection as my husbands. They talk to me, yes, but it's always awkward between us when we speak,” you say, pulling your hand away from hers before reaching for the bread roll and breaking it apart.
“Sounds like you all need a marriage counselor,” Lumine says nonchalantly, leaning back in her seat with a sigh. “I’m no love expert, but trust me, communicating your wants, needs, desires, and worries will make marriage much easier!” Lumine says.
“The last time I did that, my ex laughed in my face and left me for my ex-best friend,” you deadpan.
Lumine blinks at you and laughs nervously, grabbing her cup of water and taking a sip of it. You lightly slam your head on the wooden table, causing the cutlery to clatter from the impact. You close your eyes and turn your head to the side, staring off into space.
Even if you were to express your wants, needs, desires, and worries to your husbands, you worry that it’ll drive them away from you. Not only that, but you worry that it’ll make them snap you back into reality— the reality that your marriage with them is loveless. The purpose of the marriage is to protect you and your identity from the people of Teyvat, from the Abyss Order.
While Aether and Lumine aren’t the Abyss Prince and Princess, the Abyss Order is still as active as ever. Heck, they might be out looking for you and either kill you for knowing too much information or, worst case scenario: make you the new ruler of the Abyss. You sit up and prop your head up with your elbow on the table, sighing wistfully.
“I didn’t think I would be thrown into marriage a few weeks after my arrival to Teyvat. Now here I am, a few months later, in a loveless marriage with twenty-five men who are unobtainable due to their status,” you ramble, rubbing your face with a frustrated sigh and tugging at the roots of your hair.
Lumine smacks your hand away from your head with a scolding look. You release your hair and let your hands fall on your lap, poking the inside of your cheek with your tongue. You don’t care that you’re married to the handsome twenty-five men. You care that it’s a loveless marriage that is “no strings attached.”
You close your eyes and tilt your head back, resting it on the top rail. “A hopeless romantic like myself shouldn’t be in a loveless marriage. I try to find hope in the littlest things, only to be disappointed in the end because I have a hard time accepting that none of these men will ever love me,” you let out a shaky sigh. “There are times when I question if I’m worthy of love because of how many people left me heartbroken. Look at me. I’m in a loveless marriage with twenty-five men who keep me at arm's length. They refuse to get close to me or show me affection. I don’t know how much longer I can handle it,” you murmur.
Lumine glances over your shoulders and then back at you, reaching for her fork. It’s supposed to be a day where you and Lumine hang out with each other. You did tell your husbands that you’ll be meeting up with Lumine, and they’re okay with it. Of course, why wouldn’t they? Lumine stares at you intently, biting on the inside of her lips. Your eyebrows are furrowed, Lumine can see the dark circles under your eyes, and the frown on your face has only gotten deeper. Dear Archons, how unhappy are you? You look like you’re barely hanging on. You look defeated and exhausted.
Lumine clears her throat. “I’m sure they show they care about you somehow, correct? You’re married, and while it’s not like any other marriages, I’m sure they show a tiny bit of affection,” Lumine murmurs.
You crack your eyes open and rest your chin on the table. “Even if they did, it’s not enough that is convincing. They have tried to reassure me they don’t intend on being cold toward me, but it’s hard to tell sometimes.”
Lumine raises her eyebrows at you and taps her fingers on the table. “Do you want the marriage to be convincing, or do you want it to be genuine? No offense, but I’m confused about what you want from my brother and your other husbands,” Lumine comments.
You let out a sharp exhale and bury your face in the table. “I want it to be real. The marriage certificate and license are real, yes, but I want….” You trail off, turning your head to the side so your cheek is resting on the wooden table.
“You want….?” Lumine furrows her eyebrows.
You sit up straight and scratch your cheek. “I want them to love and care about me as much as I do for them. Since this marriage is, according to Pantalone, no strings attached, it makes me feel like I’m not meant to be loved even if I do love someone or something. If that makes sense.” You run your fingers through your hair and puff your cheeks out. “That’s all I want. But knowing them, they will never feel the same way, and I need to accept it.”
You stare at Lumine, who looks like she just saw a ghost for the first time. You look at her quizzically while she slowly lifts her hand and points behind you. You freeze and close your eyes, mentally cursing to yourself. You slowly turn in your seat and open your eyes, only to see your beloved husbands standing there with their arms over their chests, looking at you with unreadable expressions on their faces.
“We need to talk,” Diluc says.
Your shoulders slump, and you nod. You get up from your seat and bid Lumine goodbye before walking outside of Mondstadt. Lumine gives Aether a look when he walks past her alongside the other men. The way back to the estate was silent, other than muttering from other men here and there. You couldn’t help but feel embarrassed and ashamed for admitting it out loud. Even if you said it to Lumine, you didn’t expect your husbands to walk up to your table while you were rambling.
Now, you’re sitting on the couch while the men are standing in front of you. You feel like a child getting ready to be scolded by their parents for misbehaving. You feel so small, almost inferior.
“Can you explain to us what you and Lumine were talking about?” Xiao asks, raising his eyebrows at you.
You purse your lips. “Lumine and I were talking about our,” you gesture to yourself and the twenty-five men in front of you, “marriage, and I was expressing my feelings about the marriage.”
“Care to tell us more about it?” Kaeya asks, sitting across from you.
“Do I need to explain it to you all again? I have a feeling that all of you heard what I said to Lumine before I realized you all heard what I was saying,” you commented.
Gorou nods. “That is true, yes, but we want you to say it to us. We are your husbands, after all.”
Archons, this is embarrassing.
“I…” You sigh, staring off into space.
You can’t say what you said to Lumine earlier today. It’s not like you didn’t want to. It’s because you have a hard time expressing your emotions and saying what’s on your mind.
You shake your head, burying your face into the palm of your hands. “Sorry, I’m having a hard time.” You whisper.
Aether gives you a sympathetic look. “It’s okay! Take your time!” Aether reassures you, sitting beside you and rubbing your arm.
“We want to let you know that we’re not mad at you for telling Lumine how you feel about the marriage,” Heizou says, sitting on the other side of you, sandwiching you between him and Aether.
You give Aether and Heizou a strained smile before looking down at your hands on your lap.
“I don’t know how you all feel about this marriage, but lately, I feel like you all have been avoiding me. The better way for me to put it is you’re all keeping me at arm’s length, and I feel like I can’t get through the walls you’re all putting up.”
“Like Pantalone said, the marriage is no string attached,” Dottore says passively.
You stand up. “That only works for friends-with-benefits situations. We’re married. Marriage isn’t supposed to be like this unless it’s a business transaction like those arranged marriages, but this isn’t arranged. It’s sudden, and I’m an idiot for thinking I’m strong enough to be in this situation.”
“What are you trying to say exactly?” Capitano asks.
“Am I really that hard to love to the point where you all keep me at arm’s length? If I am, we could just end the marriage and go our separate ways,” you suggest.
Al Haitham shakes his head. “That’s not why we keep you at arm’s length. You’re not hard to love. We do care about you, [Y/N].”
“Then why put a wall between us? I’m doing everything I can to have you all open up to me, but it's futile.”
Kaveh kneels in front of you and grabs your hand. “We put you at arm’s length because we worry that if we end up developing feelings for you, you will return to your world suddenly. We do care about you, and it’s hard for us to act like we don’t love you. We do, and it’s not easy for either of us to keep this distance.”
“I see where you’re all coming from, but we don’t know when I’ll return to my world. I’ve been in Teyvat for, what, a few months now?” You look at the men quizzically.
“That’s the unfortunate thing. We don’t know how or when you’ll return to your world. It’s a constant guessing game, and falling in love with someone and them disappearing out of thin air without warning is terrifying.” Albedo interjects, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“And so is marrying someone and keeping them at a far distance until they disappear! It’s almost a cruel and unusual punishment.” You retort.
“Would you be okay with us starting all over again?” Kazuha asks.
You press your lips into a thin line and squint at Kazuha. What does he mean by that exactly?
“We want to form a connection with you. While we treated you with respect (and will continue to do so), we want to treat you like our spouse instead of a stranger/roommate.” Scaramouche replies.
You nod, feeling your face gradually become warm. You continue to keep your lips pressed into a thin line to prevent a big smile from forming on your face. They wanted a fresh start. A start where they treat you like a lover rather than a stranger. You’re okay with that! In fact, you like that idea more than whatever’s been happening for the past few months.
“I like that idea.” You say softly.
Cyno smiles and pats your head. “Good.”
A fresh start with your twenty-five husbands. That’s something you didn’t expect would happen, but you’re not complaining. It’s better than having them keep their distance from you.
Note: I'm thinking about giving Zhongli his own collection of one-shots, but I'm not 100% sure if I should do it. I have a lot of ideas for this man, and I want to make it happen, but I'll have to wait a bit and see how it goes before I make it happen. I might make it happen once my spring quarter is over, but who knows. I was distracted by the new Obey Me game, and I was also farming for Baizhu. Kaji Fes.2023 Day 1 FULL Video [Reupload]
Find the original post from last night HERE. It doesn't show up on the Tumblr dashboard so only people who actively check my blog have seen it. I exchanged the video with an official one so I guess it might have been a copyright issue. Don't think I've ever had one, very interesting.

I was quite excited to watch this since I only attended Day 2 last December. I didn’t necessarily regret not going for Day 1 but there were a couple of really neat songs in the setlist that I kinda wished I had been able to see performed live. The audio seems a bit dull but maybe it’s just me… Anyway, it’s still a pretty epic live. Please note that they decided to cut a handful of songs from the broadcast (probably to keep the whole thing at roughly 2 hours). The following songs are not included: fake garden, canta per me, she has to overcome her fear, I beg you and 砂塵の彼方へ.
Here are some random thoughts┗(•ˇ_ˇ•)―→
fake garden
canta per me
the world: Nothing much to say here. Decent performance but I liked the song more when it was led by Keiko.
Liminality: Loved, loved, loved this version with the amazingly talented Yuri Kasahara, Keiko and Kaori. The bridge here might be my favourite of all time.
in the land of twilight, under the moon: Never been a fan.
swordland: Another highlight for me. I think it’s easy to tell that I am a real sucker for YK’s guest vocalists that use a more operatic singing style.
she has to overcome her fear
luminous sword: Always been a big fan of Yuki’s SAO soundtrack. I understand why it gets performed a lot.
星屑: Even though this is a Keiko-centric song, I’ve never really liked it all that much so I don’t have much to say about it.
花守の丘: Solid.
we’re gonna groove: Those who have followed me for a while know how I feel about the accordion. I dislike this instrument with a passion and it’s just featured way too heavily here. Fun fact, when Day 2 started with the accordion, I got really scared and wondered whether or not I would enjoy myself.
Obsession: Can’t say I’ve ever heard this song before. Sadly, it’s nothing that leaves a lasting impression. Also, that accordion…(¬_¬) Weird choice for LINO LEIA. It was fun hearing Keiko sing a bit of English though.
千夜一夜: Once again, not familiar with the song. Like this one a bit more though. Generally, I think I prefer rito’s vocals over LINO’s even though I don’t really know why.
Point Zero: This is one of my all-time favourite YK songs and one of the few tracks I really regret not seeing live on Day 1. Another epic performance by Yuri Kasahara. God, I love her so much.
salva nos: Speaking of regrets, yup, I’ll admit it, I am pretty bummed that I missed this one. “salva nos” and “a song of storm and fire” were the very first YK songs I ever listened to and they quite literally changed the trajectory of my life. Without those two songs, I wouldn’t have looked into more of YK’s stuff and I certainly wouldn’t have discovered Kalafina. One day, I wanna be there for a live performance. At least I got to hear “a song of storm and fire” on Day 2. So grateful for that!! Anyway, super epic.
花の唄: No thoughts.
I beg you
櫂: Ahh, I almost forgot about Aimer’s Mizu no Akashi 2.0. It’s so funny to me that this is literally copy/paste. Lovely melody, I don’t even mind the vocals all that much but damn, it’s not even coming close to Wakana’s Mizu no Akashi.
朝が来る: Decent but nothing to write home about.
My Story: Ohhh, another score track from “Hanako to Anne”. I was actually blown away by Day 2’s “希望の光”. This is not as good but still quite nice. Weirdly enough I am obsessed with the uilleann pipes. How come I can’t stand the accordion but I absolutely love this instrument? Probably because I am really into the celtic sound?
Parallel Hearts: Ugh, never liked this song, not even when Wakana was still around.
stone cold: This on the other hand is a song I’ve always enjoyed but with Wakana no longer in the picture, it’s just not the same. Will never get used to the Kaori chorus. Sorry T_T Still like this though.
the image theme of Xenosaga II: Good stuff.
蒼穹のファンファーレ: Love that this is focusing on the FJ regulars. My favourite performance of the song so far.

Hiiii thereee! Okay so I know you're a big Furilumi fan, so I was wondering if you could help me collect all the info and events that imply it, and their general dynamic and stuff??? Anything about their relationship in all canon or semi-canon content. I'm working on the Traveler x Genshin chars list again, and I'm honestly undecided on how to interpret Furina's feelings for the traveler, so I thought you could help :>>>
Hellooo~ and gosh I'm flattered that you think so.
I will say that while I am a fan; I'm not as die-hard as others maybe. I'm very much a characters-before-the-ship kinda gal when it comes to Furilumi (also in general with other characters).
Like if you were to put a gun to my head and ask me what is my top Travelver X Character ship "canon wise", Furilumi wouldn't even be top five. (also I am adult enough to admit that I'm very much wanting to fuck Furina a Furina x Reader shipper more than anything)
But even with all that, I think they are cute together together and they have an interesting dynamic that can be explored.
I'm wasn't quite sure how you wanted the information or how much you wanted. I'm just gonna go through certain moments from quests Furina & Lumine have been in together so far. And just talk about them.
Also if I forget a scene or something please forgive me!
When Lumine first meets Furina at the very start of the Fontaine Archon quest, she isn't being herself.
As we all know, Furina was acting as the role of Hydro Archon. So calling it a proper meeting isn't accurate, since I tend to believe we don't meet the real Furina until much late. This isn't just in reference to her identify, but also her true personality.
Also it was just basically Furina going "We are rivals now!" and Lumine being like "....sure I guess?".
But I thought it important to high light it since it does establishes their early dynamic.
Furina knows about what The Travelver has done and sees her as an answer to her problems;
Tumblr media
She has been chasing the one trial to end all trials; the one case that is so spectacular that is will save Fontaine from the impending floods. And what better opposition than the famous Outlander?
And she says at much at Lyney's trial:
Tumblr media
Although there is perhaps a bit of fear at what the The Travelver could do, Furina is sure that their face off will soon happen. And that the odds will be in her favour (even though she kinda doesn't know what she is doing lol), with her being determined to save Fontaine.
It is always hard to truly know what the Travelver themselves is thinking. But I would guess Lumine also views Furina as a means to an end. It is the reason she is traveling Teyvat finding her brother.
This shows that while they both are different, they are very willing to do what they can to obtain their goal. Whether that means playing a role for 500 years, or travelling all over the whole continent, they will searching through any scarp of information to find the answers.
While Furina does lose and is, from Paimon's own words: "...like a deflated balloon now." I think Furina is more sad that it wasn't "The Trial" more than anything. Especially since she is "...unable to contain her joy at seeing you and Paimon enter.", when coming to protect her while meeting with the Arlecchino. Showing that she doesn't have any ill will towards Lumine.
Granted this could be because Furina is utterly terrified of The Knave as well trusting in Neuvillette very much. But still that rivalry is put on hold. But from this little tea party Lumine starts feeling distrusting of Furina, thinking she is hiding something. And from the events of Poisson, this just grows.
While Lumine is willing to go through the plan with others to trap Furina, this is very much a last resort;
Tumblr media
Lumine doesn't want to be feuding with Furina; this rivalry that Furina has thrusted upon them is something she doesn't want. And while Lumine is reluctant to do this, she knows there is no choice. The Travelver doesn't think Furina is a bad person. But they need answers, and as such it seems that they are both destined to be on oppositions at court.
But Lumine still tries one last time to get through to Furina.
This part of the Fontaine Archon quest is one of my favourites; this is where Furina's thoughts and feeling finally start to poke out.
Tumblr media
It happens because Furina's greatest fear is coming true, but still. Pretty good.
Tumblr media
Lumine is very much on to the act that Furina plays. She knows that is she isn't godly or uncaring as she may give off. Lumine tries to show to Furina that it is okay to let go:
Tumblr media
If Furina had been quicker and had told her the truth, Lumine very much would have stopped the plan. But from what we know, Furina would have never told. She was dedicated to the very end.
Tumblr media
Skipping to after the Hydro Archons trial and the crisis being averted. We don't get anything until Furina's story quest.
Story quests are in general kinda a mixed bag. They are can be great in show casing the playable characters, well character. As well as expanding on the world as a whole. But sometimes they just focus on the second part a bit too hard and the character suffers from.
Now looking back at Furina's quest, it probably wasn't as bad as I thought originally. Well at least looking through just the lines by themselves is fine (Paimon is still...well I have thoughts on how they utilise Paimon's character when it comes to story. They use her as comic relief/to lighten it up when it is not needed...But that's a convo for another day).
There are at least some good bits to take from.
The first being that the reason Furina even helps the Troupe in the first place is because the Travelver drags them (literally and figuratively) into the plot. By the way of hand-holding no less.
After the ordeal that Furina has been through she is actually quite reluctant to be out and about. Furina strikes me as someone who is introverted, this very well could because she has had no real personal relationships.
On topic of personal relationships, Lumine is properly the only person who knows about what Furina truly felt during her 500 years of acting. This is cause of Furina unconsciously trama-dumped on Lumine, but still. Having someone who has seen the many sides to you, can be nice. Furina can be candid with Lumine, not needed to put on a performance. But I'm sure Furina also feels it is kinda awkward. Because 'Oh archons this person knows all about me', it crates an unexpected power imbalance, which can make for an interesting dynamic with the Travelver.
Another good moment is when they are back in Poisson;
Tumblr media
If there is one ideal out of the seven that The Travelver embodies most, it is freedom. Freedom is very important to Lumine and I think it's very telling when she tells Furina that freedom is her reward. She is saying to her that it's It's over, and that she is free to begin a new chapter of her life.
So I think it's no coincidence after this quest Furina ends up being a director in "Roses and Muskets". She breaks out of her shell a bit and once again comes along on the Travelver's behest. Granted there aren't that many scenes/moments with them since this was very Chevreuse forward event. This is also similar in the Lantern Rite, but we did get a cute diagonal where Lumine says "I have keenly felt the passage of time since our last meeting." so that was cute.
Unfortunately since Furina has only been out for 7 months we'll have to wait for more. Hopeful in 4.6 (if it follows the same patterns) we will get her second story quest, and that it's a little bit better.
But there are voice-over and teapot stuff! (Had to get these from the wiki since I don't have Furina fully unlocked. yeah yeah know)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are pretty self explanatory. Just Furina wanting to spend time with the Travelver and taking about the next chapter of her life having Lumine in it.
Tumblr media
I thought this one has particularly cute. Furina would make macaroni for Lumine.
This one is a favourite
Tumblr media
Lumine only needs her.
Now on to the teapot, there is a very cute scene where Furina talks about teaching Lumine to dance;
Tumblr media
Another where Furina talks about them doing acting together and writing a script.

And that's all I can find! Like I said, I probably missed some stuff, but I think I'll call it quits here. I hope I was able to get the info you needed, but if not you can ask my specific questions if need be.
Also I'd love to the list when you are done!!!

Note: I got kinda confused about who was going to react so I choose the bots if that's alright! Hope you enjoy
Note 2: Ratchet and Pharma use to be a thing lol as well mention of DJD
How Tfp! Bots would react to an innocent looking psychopath
Optimus prime
Is friendly at first to you since all neutrals are still good in his eyes. He understands why you don't want to be part of the war
Then... He looks closer at you.
You seem innocent and naive, something that he craves for bots to have. To be blissfully unaware of the war.
But how you optics don't really show your feelings, how you seem like your movement is planned and how your smile never seems genuine if he looks closer at you.
Something is wrong with you.
He brushes it off, in hopes that maybe you've gone through something and need some time to decompress into your normal self.
That's until the team catches you absolutely slaughtering the Vehicons in an emergency mine.
Blue luminous blood splattered on the Rocky walls, intestines and guts seemingly are hanging on the walls. Looking like a grotesque party. Your in the middle, laughing away as you continue punching a Vehicons helm. Their helm already a bloodly mess of wires and metal with no recognizable shape.
He's horrified
Without thought but the need to protect his autobots, he shoots you. And he shoots again, again and again.
Some hitting you, some missing but with a hiss, he has your attention.
You smile and wave.
Instantly you transform and run off.
Arcee
Did not at all like you not because your a neutral, well... That was one thing. But anyway, she like Optimus saw something wasn't quite right with your body language.
You remind her of arachnid, she wonders if you two having connection after the incident. She'd never seen Prime just shoot first and ask questions later.
Will probably kill you on sight now
Bumblebee
Was so friendly to you since he didn't have enough experience in perceiving body language or subtle statements. He was quite easy for you to persuade.
Absolutely horrified by you know, he'll probably have nightmares about the murder scene he saw for eons.
Has to explain to the kids that you quite literally worse than the Decepticons and if you are spotted to come comm the team.
Ratchet
Just like Bee know, he's going to become a helicopter parent to the kids. Hes just so paranoid of new people now. He let you in. He thought he maybe had a chance with you. That you're so kind to him.
He should've known better than to trust a neutral!
He's reminded of the DJD, sparkeaters and even his ex, Pharma.
He shivers at the list of atrocities he has seen.
Bulkhead
That was a surprise to him, he didn't really see it coming. He thought you were quite innocent.
Oh, how you played him like a professional you are.
How close you got to Miko, tugs at his spark. How you were so close to extinguishing the one of the last wreckers he knew, so know he guards Miko and the rest of the kids. Just like Ratchet but much worse now.
Bee will tell the kids not to do something, while Ratchet with micro manage them and Bulkhead will simply try to persuade them not do something
Basically your are either murderous to the killer or you become helicopter parent of the kiddies lol
Feel free to request!

“I cannot believe you!” Magnus seethes the moment Alec is gone and Ragnor sighs and takes a deep puff of his pipe. “How could you have been hiding such a delectable treasure from me?”
“Magnus, I have a contract and an oath that restrict me.” Which is something of an over exaggeration but Ragnor is tired and he doesn’t want to deal with Magnus’ outrage.
There’s a huff and finally Magnus settles for a moment before he adds, “so what is he like?”
“Aren’t you going to want to find out on your little ‘thank you’ dinner?” Ragnor teases and it earns him a cold, sharp eyeroll. “Fine, ducky. Ruin my rare fun. The lad’s incredibly intelligent and calculating, or at least he normally is. It seems you rather turn his thoughts around.”
Magnus almost looks unbearably smug at that, but Magnus wears smug well and so Ragnor sighs and just relights his pipe.
“He’s both incredibly perceptive and incredibly sheltered about certain things.”
“Like?” Magnus demands, summoning himself a glass of whiskey as he gives Ragnor a viciously impatient look.
“Like casual intimacy. Or consider the power of touch, of which he knows little of. Alec lives in relative isolation from other people in the embrace of his powers. They’ve always protected and comforted him, and he relies on them, which mean very few are allowed to approach him.”
“They’re not merely powers.” Magnus muses and Ragnor nods his head, unable to say more due to oaths but wanting to warn Magnus. Alec himself isn’t the only obstacle in this that Magnus will face, Alec’s shadows will be the true obstacle.
“I’m sure I can woo the entirety of him,” Magnus drawls smugly and he gives Ragnor a curious look. “What do they like?”
“They’re hungry, Magnus. Greedy and powerful and they only care for Alec. They’re incredibly dangerous and not to be underestimated, even by you.”
Magnus shows up nearly every day after that for a week, as if he’s hoping Alec will drop by again, which was rare enough the first time.
Finally, after much exasperation, Ragnor has had enough.
“Why not just go to the New York Institute, instead of portaling all the way over here?” Ragnor questions, cross after Magnus has come over and stolen the last of Ragnor’s favorite biscuits. A specific type that are warded by their baker against being summoned.
Ragnor will have to request a new delivery by fire message and he scowls at the additional work. He’d been hoping to avoid that until the next day at least.
“What do you mean the New York Institute?” Magnus drawls, “why would I go over there when I want to see my darling Alexander? Not some boring cannon fodder hunters.”
“Because your darling,” Ragnor says rolling his eyes, “is the Head and Commander of the New York Institute, Magnus. Weren’t you paying attention? I did mention it.”
“It wasn’t as important as getting him to agree to dinner—” Magnus tells him. “And you haven’t mentioned again at any point in this last week because?”
“Frankly, I have better things than just assume that you no longer listen to me at all.” Ragnor retorts and he summons a new cup of tea with a sigh. “I’m far too tired for all this nonsense Magnus, go woo the lad and come back once you have your boy. Perhaps with your influence, I’ll see him more than a handful of times a year.”
“Oh, you’ll be seeing plenty of him.” Magnus promises with a leer and Ragnor flicks him with magic.
“No! I’ve helped raise that lad since he was a wee one, Magnus. I’ll not have you telling me about how you plan to deflower him or anything else. This is one relationship where you will have to rely on Cat alone to pander compliments to your ego. Bring the lad around for tea and know that you’ll be staying clothed in my abode.”
“Deflower?”
Ragnor groans wishing he’s said defile and knowing he’s about to hit every one of Magnus’ possessive, covetous and prideful instincts with his words.
“The lad’s not shy Magnus. He doesn’t blush, he doesn’t stutter, he doesn’t get entranced. This isn’t a normal reaction for him. I’m fairly certain there is a graveyard somewhere dedicated to people who made the mistake of hitting on him. Alec generally considers it a nuisance. I hope you can understand what I mean and treat him well.”
Ragnor doesn’t say anything else, because he’s said enough and while he’ll step in if he feels he needs to, he trusts Magnus enough to let him try first.
“Thank you, Ragnor. Even if you did let me suffer for a week.”
Ragnor rolls his eyes and waves his hand in farewell as Magnus portals away.

11: are we friends? ♤
Tumblr media
17 January, Monday, 5.17pm
Location: Lumine and Aether's house
You sat on a couch in the living room of Lumine and Aether's house as you waited for Aether to come back with drinks. You took a lot around to find not that many changes since you last visited the house, which was two months ago. Which was expected.
"Hey, I'm back with the drinks."
"Ah yess, thank you so much Aether!"
"No problem."
After that, the both of you just sat down in silence. Neither of you spoke up first.
You nervously tapped on your glass and glanced at Aether a few times. He too looked nervous and was looking at everywhere but you.
You shifted a little in your seat, took a deep breath in, and decided to speak first.
"How's your brother Dain? Is he doing good?"
Dain was the twins' older brother. You remembered last seeing him in your last year of highschool. After that, he moved out of the house.
"Oh Dain... Yeah I would say he's doing pretty good. Landed himself a good-paying job so he's pretty loaded now. Not so sure about his love life though. Man's turned down so many people."
"Kind of expected that haha, he wasn't one for romance.."
.....
"O-Oh, you wanted to see some of my journal entries right?? I'll go and bring some of them here-"
Aether stood up and was about to leave, but before he could do so, you took hold of his hand.
"Aether wait-"
You looked up snd stared right into those golden eyes of his. Embarrassed by the sudden eye contact, he looked away, feeling his face heat up.
"What is it?"
"Do I make you feel uncomfortable or something?"
Huh?
Aether's face quickly morphed into confusion as he looked back at you.
"I'm not sure why but you always seem to be nervous or uncomfortable with having me around. If I did something that offended you in the past, just know that I'm truly sorry and that I didn't mean to upset you in anyway."
"No, wait yn, you didn't do anything, it's just..."
"It's just what Aether?"
You watched as his eyes widened, and his mouth was agape but no words came out of it. Seeing that he wasn't going to say anything, you spoke up again.
"It's just, I really want to get along with you Aether. You're my bestfriend's brother, so I should at least be friends with you right?"
"But you've been avoiding me for the past few years, and now when we actually do talk, it feels like.... you're uncomfortable with my presence or something. And that just upsets me a lot."
Once you were done with your outburst, you looked back at him. He showed no signs of wanting to say something. So you quickly got up and grabbed your bag.
"It's fine Aether, I didn't mean to get carried away. I just needed to get that off my chest because I really enjoy your company and would really like to be friends with you. Like how you are with Hu Tao, Ayaka, hell even like how you are with Childe. But I'll just go now-"
"Wait!"
He grabbed onto your arm, stopping you from going any further. The both of you stood in silence for a while, before Aether spoke.
"First of all, I'm really sorry for making you feel like that yn. It's not your fault at all. It's just... me."
You raised your eyebrow at that statement. What did he mean by that.
"In the past, whenever I see you, I've always had this weird feeling. My body feels all squirmy and my chest feels like it was going to explode. My heart just starts beating so rapidly and my face just heats up. I don't even know why i'm feeling like this and I've never felt like this before. So I just got.... scared."
"So that's why I started avoiding you. I thought it would go away, but it didn't. So I just continued to avoid you, and soon it became a habit. But now, when I finally hung out with you two weeks ago, I... I've gotten to enjoy your company a lot too."
You watched as his paused, trying to find the right words to say next.
"I know there isn't really a valid excuse as to why I avoided you, but just know that I'm truly sorry. I really am. And I really do want to be your friend as well... if you'll let me be that is..."
He looked up at you, waiting for a response from you.
But you didn't say anything. You just looked back at him.
The both of you stared into each other's eyes for a while, getting lost in them.
It seems like time stopped for the both of you. There's nothing else. No noise, no other people, no thoughts or worries. It was just you and him, in your own little world.
A few minutes passed, and you finally smiled. You raised your hand and held out your pinky towards him.
"So.... are we friends?"
Your smile made him smile as well, and he raised his hand and held out his pinky towards yours, locking it together.
"Yup, we're friends."

It was already dark out, as it often is when he is on duty. Monsters become more aggressive at night. Although he didn't like to call it that way, Xiao had established a routine in his life: to accomplish his duty and immediately head back to Wangshuu Inn. Before allowing himself to settle, he would walk firmly, not showing the slightest trace of exhaustion, or weakness, to any passerby. And just like every time, Verr Goldet was here at the counter. Her expression made him almost sick; she looked at him with pity and concern. He didn't need any of that. However, as always, he apologised quietly to her, not giving any more context than his sorry. Simply because she didn't need explanations; she knew he was excusing himself for the mess his karma would always bring to this place while he was fighting. The woman didn't even hesitate when she brushed it off. How absurd, he thought. With the amount of trouble he was bringing her, she was never holding him accountable. Humans are complicated. Now, when he'd allow himself to what he called rest, he'd sit on the inn's roof, watching over Liyue peacefully. His body would barely relax during those times, as faint noises were enough to tense it back.
Tonight was different. It wasn't faint noises, but footsteps he heard coming from behind. He didn't even care to turn around; he knew these steps by heart.
"What are you doing here? he asked, harshly, although a hint of unusual softness had found its way in his tone.
- Passing by. said the blonde, her voice reflecting her smile, and her heels clacking on the wood.
- Passing by on a roof?" the Adeptus scoffed.
It got a chuckle out of the traveller, as she swiftly sat herself next to him. Her sudden closeness made him feel a bit uneasy, as he was not used to it if it wasn't to slaughter. Staring at her, he wondered how could she brighten up a place by just being there. With a gentle smile plastered on her face, the moonlight reflecting on her golden eyes made them look even brighter. The moon always complemented her beautifully.
"I missed you. That's why I was indeed, passing by on a roof." she finally answered.
Her words struck like lightning, and the following silence was strangely peaceful. As expected when she was here, it was always a roller coaster of the things he constantly tried so hard to avoid. Not only was she never affected by his silence, but she also never held a grudge for his rude words and tone. She was a phenomenon to him, a whole mystery he hated to be so curious and attracted to.
"You seem tired." she took the risk to point out. "You know-
- I need not rest, have respect for my title. he sharply replied, to let her know he wasn't planning on debating that topic.
- I think even you deserve rest once in a while. Being an Adeptus does not make you invincible." the woman scolded him, making his offended face only accentuate.
The quiet atmosphere was this time heavy. Both stared at each other, battling whose gaze was stronger, their matching eyes nearly fusing in that instant. She sighed as she turned to the landscape. The guilt for his sharpness started to hit Xiao in the pit of his stomach, but it barely had time to properly set itself.
"I'm not much of a big sleeper myself," Lumine spoke once more, in a most gentle tone. "I have a lot of nightmares at night.."
Taken aback, Xiao didn't reply. He easily guessed what she was starting to do, but chose to act clueless. His lack of words and unjudgmental gaze encouraged her to continue.
"It's been that way since that day… When I lost my brother, do you recall? I think I already told you about that day." when he hummed, she nodded, and the yaksha kept on listening carefully to every word she was saying, sympathising with her struggles.
"..We're alike in more ways than we admit it, don't you think?"
This last sentence made him reflect this time. What did she mean be alike? They were completely different people.
But in that context, perhaps she meant their loss of close ones and the consequences it had on their sleep schedule. But why was "way" in the plural tense?
Well, thinking more deeply, she could also refer to how they both hid this trouble from the world, or any troubles they had in general. How she would never call upon his name even when she was in terrible situations, similar to how he refused the help of anybody and would take it as an offence.
"You could say so." he finally breathed out.
"Still, there's something that differentiates us," she added, perking once more his attention, "I'm not completely alone, I have Paimon, for example, or even you. But… While you protect everyone, who protects you?
- I do not need protection.
- And believe me, I trust that you don't. Physically." softly, she went and put her slender fingers on top of his, her warmth being felt through the fabric of his glove, making him twitch. Even so, he did not move away.
"Can I try something?
- What would that imply?
- Not much talking. But.. I'm afraid it's gonna be a few feelings." She smirked, amused.
At that, he shot at her another scoff, but looked away, closing his eyes, opening her the door to do whatever she was planning. It was hard to believe how little she needed to break his barriers. That was something he told himself he should worry about but never managed to fix. Somehow he couldn't brush away the thought that she wasn't making him show his weaknesses, but she was herself, his weakness.
Lumine's fingers shifted from the top of his hand to go and hold it completely. He glanced at their hands tied together, perplexed about where she was going. But before any more thoughts could invade his mind, she snatched him in her arms. The teal-haired man froze in shock, his face lying on her chest and his body enveloped by her arms. His own were up in the air, on both sides, awkwardly waiting to figure out a place to be put. Had she lost her mind? He was maybe a bit too easy on her now. Snapping his face up, the blonde nonchalantly put it back against her like it was nothing.
"What do you think-
- Shush." Lumine cut him in his track before he could even try.
Her hands went down to his wrists, guiding him to wrap his arms around her, but she could feel he was slightly reluctant to.
"Does that make you too uncomfortable?" she asked, in a low voice.
No, that wasn't that. But he, himself, didn't know what to do in that instant. It didn't feel right, to put himself as a burden on her that way. Plus, what if that kind of closeness stained her? The right thing to do in his mind was to just pull away and leave. It was what's best for her. How could he even allow that to happen in the first place?
But 𝘰𝘩, did her arms feel like heaven. A softness similar to the one his soul was always silently craving. The one that reminded him of the dreams he used to devour, and of the only human food he seemed to be able to stomach.
After a deep breath, he moved himself to be more comfortable, his face going up to snuggle on her shoulder. Although he could feel she was taken aback, he could also tell she was far from displeased. Shyly, he sneaked his hand back into hers, while the other finally decided to firmly hold onto her waist. When she started soothingly brushing his hair, his body relaxed, and he was almost scared of the sensation. Rare were the occasions where he got to feel that way. The weight he seemed to bear on his body lifted, making him feel like he was breathing for the first time. And all of a sudden, his eyes felt heavy, and he never felt this tired. What was she doing to him with such trivial gestures? It was such an insignificant moment, but why did it feel so special? She had such an ease at making him drop all his principles. If only he wasn't drowning in this comfort, he would have already gone far. Nonetheless, he didn't move an inch. And he wasn't planning to anymore.
He focused on how he could hear her heartbeats. The sound made him feel even safer, and each beat was like telling him that she was alive. She was alive and well, and right here under him, holding and cradling him as if he wasn't a tool of war. That was far from the way she saw him and he knew that. How stubborn of a girl.
But he loved her for that.
Perhaps he did, needed that rest after all.
Or maybe he needed her.

RE-DO of the creators children lore
In my main account, I did an au of where the creator was the twins' mother. I wrote really fast because I was just spitting out ideas. But after a good while of thinking, and seeing looking at some of the lore I have some stuff put together.
You know how all the archons have demon names as well as their own names. The creator also has that, but they have a god name due to them being another race. Their name being nyx, the primordial goddess of the night. The daughter of chaos.
Nyx is a powerful god that even the ruler of all gods fear her in Greek mythology.
She could also make more gods on her own being their mother.
In this au, it's the same thing, though the mother is just a title given to the creator because of the children they created (they often go by they/them).
Creator made tyvat at a very young age. This is when they were testing their power and wanted to create something like how their father did.
Tyvat was originally a place to relax until life started to come together on its own. They didn't want to interfere with the new beings to much and decided to let them thrive on their own. They do come back a few times just to check up on the beings now and then.
One day, they start finding new gods coming to life on this land, taking it over the place. So naturally, they start greeting these new creations. They start to notice how weak these new gods are compared to her lands gods. These gods have the ability to die, which does concern them.
Creator start the teach these new additions and finding their attributes to help balance the world, so when people show up they will know what to do.
The creator loves being a mentor, but they do crave something more underneath. They didn't know what it was at first. But they couldn't help feel like they wanted I little deeper connection.
Around this time, their father, Void, warned them that balance needed to be kept on their home or else he would have to destroy everything just to create it again.
After a while of pondering, they came up with the idea af making more gods. A god kinda like them. So, with their power, they start making some more gods. Though because it's a god like them, they aren't full grown but arrive as a child. A tiny baby who they named Hermera.
After that, more children came to help balance their world and that they personally took care of.
Though the children were needed, the other gods began to fear them due to them being cacodaemones [spirits of ills].
After the gods distracted the young creator, they stole the children and sealed them away in a box. This, of course, devastated the young God. This lea6d them to hide their other children lumine and Aether.
They tried their best to keep the two a secret, but one day another god spotted Aether picking some fruit and reported it to their king which led to the creator to send their children off to find a new home. A place where it's safe and won't be hunted down.
After this, the creator decided that they needed to get stronger, so nothing like this happened again.
This is kinda the intro to the creator and why they aren't their for many of the events in tyvat. Also, to give a reason why the twins are traveling around the place while using Greek mythology as inspiration in some parts. It's 12 over where I'm at, so I'm just laying some of my thoughts down again. If some parts don't make sense, just send an ask, and I'll tell you. These are just some basic facts.

for @remadoramicrofics 10/5 prompt, "Midnight." Nine 100-ish word drabbles. Read below or on AO3 🍻

1
The streets are shiny with all-day drizzle and they double the colour of the neons and the traffic lights and and the creature-eyes of cars. Young girls flocking down the avenue like calling birds. The fuzz and whine of a band tuning. And Tonks's eyes are smokey dark—Remus can't tell if she leaned into a mirror to line them with kohl, or simply squeezed them shut and changed them from within—and her lips are like glossy red lacquer. She's smiling, pulling his lapels to make him stumble into her. He's stumbling. He's letting it happen.

2
It's already midnight and he's due at work by four. He's just started, hasn't been paid yet, so Sirius is buying drinks. If she knows, she's been nice enough not to mention it. It's been months of this uncomfortable charity and Remus has been lying awake thinking of what happens when it dries up. The plan is to squirrel some cash into the bag he keeps always-packed out of habit for whenever things fall apart; the reality is, he's never been good at that. There's always some crisis or some hundred small exigencies eating his savings until they're gone.
3
He's thought about telling her. Not just tonight because he needs to get some sleep, but because he entertains a silly fantasy of her dropping by when it's slow, of slipping her an espresso and one of his chelsea buns, and her delighted face: Lupin, you made this? Leaning over the counter, playing with his apron strings. It's idiotic, and it's not how that would go. There'd be questions ( working for muggles? Do you need the money that much? ) and there'd be the tacit admission that this, baking rolls and tweezing biscotti into piles, really is about the best he can do.
4
She mentioned, once, that she worked at Madame Malkins' for four days before being sacked.
Well, she said, cracking a licorice snap, it was partly because I altered the uniform—horrible long frumpy thing. I made it shorter, nipped in the waist. I also made it lime green.
And... the other part?
Told a customer to suck my dick.
She played the line completely straight, which made him laugh so hard he inhaled a mouthful of the crisps she'd brought him, and the two of them had sat chuckling, in the dead of night on a surveillance mission, for an absurdly long time.

5
But when he thought later about the various reasons he'd been sacked—too ill to work, or worse, too ill and showed up anyway, bosses thinking he was dopesick or high, bony arms and knackered clothes making it hard to argue—it left a sour taste in his mouth. He has smiled through rudeness, through undisguised smouldering contempt, to keep a paychecque coming in. Dignity is a luxury.
When they stop for pizza the place is slammed, the slices take an age to reheat, and Tonks rolls her eyes and mutters unbelievable when the kid hands over their greasy paper plates.

6
There was a girl at a bar, long ago when he was twentyoneish and still trying, who pulled at his clothes quite like Tonks is and let him kiss her in the fog of last-orders cigarettes outside. He was drunk, absolutely trollied, and when she yanked back from kissing him to look him in the face he could see that she was too.
You reek of chips, she told him, and hailed a cab.
He'd lost his job at the chippie moping about it in bed all week. Fifteen years later, he still worries that he has that stench on him—not just of shit work, but of desperation. Loneliness.

7
She buys an entire packet of fags to smoke one and throw the rest away.
I'll smoke them all if I don't, she shrugs. Three hours until work. He's sobering up, but she still has this glow about her, luminous and hazy as the bar-lights reflected on the street.
I ought to get you home.
Out of money?
Er—
She presses up against him. Her smoke gets in his eyes. There's no lipstick on the cigarette butt; it must just be her.
I don't want to go home, she says. I'm having fun. I could kick around on the street with you for hours.

8
He almost tells her, then, standing by the rubbish bin on the corner, bass vibrating the pavement, being jostled by hen-nights and lads in packs walking four-and-five-abreast. But tonight has been so lovely he'd like to preserve it under glass, keep it on a shelf, look down into the electric colour of it forever. If he told her, there'd be fumbling explanations, she'd muster herself to seem excited for him, the way she does. Not tonight. Not this one night.
So he bends to kiss her cherry lips instead.
He hates the taste of cigarettes. Still, it's heavenly. She slides her hands under his jacket and around his back.

9
Four-sixteen. He flips the switches. Fluorescents buzz like a headache. He's late because he indulged himself to brush his teeth and shave. Buns out to proof, then into the oven. Coffee grinding, that head-clearing smell. Closing shift left the milk out. Down the sink.
Before he flips the OPEN sign, when it's dark outside the windows and the café is just a bright box in a black void, it's easy to imagine: the bun fresh and steaming, her blue fingernails clinking on the little espresso cup. She takes a bite, makes a tiny wordless sound. Closes her eyes, lost in pleasure.

Paz and Quaritch (plus spider, because he was the one part of their relationship that remained untainted).
I think they were such an interesting, yet unexplored, piece of avatar, so I explored it and here are my headcanons, they are true, simply because I said so, and if you don't like it perish leave. (these aren't in any particular order, I wrote them as they came to mind)
quaritch was never good with the whole compliments thing, so he made up for it through putting down anyone who said something negative (think something like the line form Donna by the Lumineers "You told your daughter she was ordinary" as if to insult anyone underestimating her). he shoves her accomplishments in the faces of anyone to underestimates her, making sure that if he can't give lovey-dovey compliments, he can sill show how proud he is of her.
they weren't the best couple, as they were victim of their circumstances. they can't go on rates and barely get any personal time together. miles is an emotionally stunted man who never took time for relationships outside of her. so they struggle, conflict typically turns into screaming matches and slamming furniture; but paz never once thinks miles will hurt her or their son, and he doesn't, no matter how angry and heated he gets, he could never even fathom hurting paz or spider
she was the last thing he thought about when he died. he didn't know if he was alive, if he would see her again, if he wanted to see her again (he didn't know if he believed in heaven or hell, but if they were real he didn't want to, she didn't belong in hell).
they met on her first day in pandora, they had sorta known each other before, only in passing, but they got to know each other on pandora. hooking up wasn't their intent, not at first, but it just sorta happened. she'd been assigned to his platoon, they became friends, and then more than friends. in such a hostile world they became each other's lifelines, and the squad (her + the people who made up the recoms) became family. spider solidified that family
when he found out she was pregnant, for just a split second, before the worry about code and procedure and higher ups, he was over joyed. then it was his worst nightmare because he was worried for her, sleeping with your superior was bad enough, getting pregnant, on pandora of all places, was something so much worse. but he could never bring her to get rid of the child, the words lingered on his tongue, they both knew she should, that there were ways to do it under the table, but he couldn't.
they both loved each other, quaritch more than her, surprisingly, though he didn't know how to show it. he was never shown actual love. In his little chunk of the world, he had never even seen kindness, let alone love, so he had to guess each step of the way with paz, and he knew he failed, he failed horribly, and he hoped she would forgive him for that.
when she was pregnant he pulled strings as long and far as he could to keep her on light work, desk work in the middle few months before she started showing. had her medical care kept under wraps at his own dispense and out of his own pocket. when she was eventually found out he did everything to keep him, the father, anonymous, so she'd get in as little trouble as possible. he snuck around constantly to see her, bring her things from the kitchen that she was craving, stayed with her as much as he could when she was sick or needing company.
he couldn't be there for spiders birth, no matter how badly he wanted to, but he was sneaking into her room with the squads help, to meet his son. the look in his eyes when he looked at her and the baby made her melt, it was the first time he looked completely blissed out with happiness.
he cried when he held spider, holding him in one arm, holding paz in the other. the only two people he truly had in the world, right there with him. he looked at this perfect little baby, the one he helped make, and saw such beauty and happiness.
he was flattered when paz named the little one miles, though he worried, he couldn't convince her to name him anything else, so he helped create a cover story for her.
if he could, he would have kept her out of the field for the rest of her life, but he knew the sky was where her heart felt at home. he regrets letting her fly that day.
when he became a recom, the first thing he did, was track down the little trinket box of his, he found it untouched at hellsgate, hidden in the floorboards of his old room. it held all he had left of his son and lover; a few photos, some medals, a hardrive, a ring, a few notes, and 2 little figures. the photos were mostly of paz, in all her glory, her perfect smile, her beautiful eyes. the metals were both his and her's but they were the ones they thought were most important. the harddrive had videos, logs, other photos of their lives, spiders short life, the squadm their family. the ring was supposed to be the one he would 'propose' with, he doubted they could ever actually marry, but the ring was just supposed to symbolize them. the notes were their little attempts at younger love, mostly confessions, asks for meet ups, the note she gave him telling him he was a father. and the figures? they were spiders, he doesn't know who hid them there, he knows he couldn't have, spider had them the day he died, the kid was just starting to hold himself up, miles had given him a toy amp suit and a toy scorpion, so he'd always think of his mama and papa. he'd gone to see him in the nursery playing with them right before he left for battle, had a gut instinct he wouldn't see the little shit again. he was right. he would never know who hid them away, but it broke his heart in the best way possible. his life, his love was here, and that's all that mattered.
when out in the field, he searched for paz, using what little info he could get on her position in battle to try and track down her remains. he didn't need to though, spider already had, and he said there wasn't much left, not besides her dog tags. he took quaritch to where he hid them, and from that day on he wore one of them and spider carried the other.
he loved spider with everything he wasn't able to love paz with. this new life gave him a new chance, and he wasn't gonna waste it.
this is for @natasha-devkina sorry this took so long, I sorta forgot for a hot minute.

Dear Sephiroth: (a letter to a fictional character, because why not) #11
Did you know that I like to make wire trees? I weave them myself, by hand. I'll show you some of my best examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I even made one of you. Here's what it looks like.
Tumblr media
I like taking the trees I make and turning them into various weird handicrafts. I don't sell them; I give them away to people who have been good to me and to others. I'll show you:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here is what became of the tree that I wove for you:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Easily, though, my best handiwork is this one:
Tumblr media
It is a rainbow tree encased in an epoxy sphere. You can find an explanation of what it is within the letter I wrote for you a while back. Right now, it is in the hands of some very important people in Japan; I gave it directly to someone who might be able to help you. I hope that they are enjoying it, and I hope that they can see the love with which it was made.
Somewhat recently, my therapist thought that he could turn my tree-weaving into a self-love exercise. The reasoning goes, we can look at trees and see that they're beautiful no matter what shape they've grown into. So he asked me to turn myself into a tree. I tried to weave a colorful willow tree. This was the result:
Tumblr media
And you know? I've never hated a tree that I've made until this particular one. As you can see, it's nothing like the other trees I've made. It's a bit of a mess. It can't even support its own weight. It tried to be colorful and flowy, but really, it just ended up being loud, obnoxious, overly dramatic, and relatively useless. I thought about taking it apart so that it wouldn't be a waste of gemstone beads, at very least. But instead, I put it in a box and left it somewhere for weeks, so that I wouldn't have to look at it. I was disappointed and ashamed about how it had turned out.
But then I realized something. What if I'm looking at it from the wrong angle? What if it only looks useless because it is not in the correct orientation? What if it only looks like a disappointment because it's not in a place where it would thrive?
So I changed its circumstances. Its branches no longer look so noisy now that they're spread out and being used to keep it balanced. Whether it can hold itself up is no longer relevant now that its main focus is reaching and embracing. The branches bend under the weight of their circumstances, but they will not break, even if you let them help you to climb out of wherever you're at.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(It looks much better in real life than in the photos, I promise!! Haha!) The only times I ever really feel as though I am alive are when I am trying to reach for someone else and bring color and joy to their world. This tree does not stand tall and proud like my other ones do because the weight of the colorful leaves it carries is too much. But maybe that's okay; we have to be willing to kneel down in order to help the fallen anyway, right?
I think my therapist will be happy to learn that I've finally understood his lesson today. I will tell him about it next week.
May you, similarly, learn how to look at yourself and other people with the same marveling eyes with which you regarded the trees as you were looking out of the window in the inn at Nibelheim, when you first arrived there.
Please remember that you are loved. And please stay safe; I don't want it to be the case that all I have left of you are these random letters that I write to you.
Your friend, Lumine

Note
i'm glad you liked my thoughts!!^^ I just had another one specifically for the twins communicating one/aether signing.
Basically just, in the scenario Aether is the traveller; The reason he didn't speak with Lumine when he finally saw her again in the We Will Be Reunited Quest™ was because everything before and the current environment was already just leaving him with a constant feeling of dread. But then seeing Lumine be so cold to him and just. Not behaving how she normally would made him feel like something was deeply wrong and it just threw him off very off. (plus the fact that in official art, and even in game cutscenes, Aether is always the less expressive one of the twins but in this quest when he sprinted after Lumi, he ended up being the more expressive one out of the two just makes me wither on the floor in emotional pain)
Meanwhile in the scenario where Lumine is the traveller, i feel like the fact Aether the sunshine boy (as you wrote before) acting like a colder version of her, and then also Actually Speaking even though she was with Dain (someone Aether considered his enemy and therefore wouldn't speak around) made her just feel like something was just Horribly wrong and very much added to her distraught when she realized Aether was leaving her behind. I don't really have a reason she didn't speak here tho, in the game, other than maybe for the first time she was left so emotionally confused and overwhelmed she found herself unintentionally using her brother's preferred form of communication.
Also the fact that in the second Dain quest the traveller said to Paimon that this was the first time the twins were separated just adds to the absolute emotional pain they would've gone through after seeing someone they've been together with for Aeons is willingly choosing to leave/separate
Also partially unrelated but i always get so happy when Hoyo adds things in the game that makes the twins different from one another (Lumine faster attack speed, Aether higher defence stat; Aether faster runner/climber than Lumine; Jeht having a crush on Lumine but not Aether; Variations in speech/behaviour. Stuff like that.)
(Also did you know that "Nara Varuna" is actually the abyss twin? If you play as Aether, Nara Varuna gets called she/her; but when you play with Lumine, Nara Varuna is suddenly he/him. Also the fact the Aranara say "Nara Varuna was a golden Nara just like you". I just think it's nice that at some point in their travels, while the player-twin was asleep, the future-to-be abyss twin went out of their way to help the Aranara)
Tumblr media
This is how your sad headcanons are making me feel. You’re hurting me physically, spider.
Aether being less expressive in general yet when he’s faced with the loss of his sister, being the most expressive of the two is making my heart AGGRESSIVELY BREAK
No cause just imagine (going off of your headcanon where he uses sign language often to communicate) he’s been barely talking due to the constant feeling of dread he’s been getting. How wrong everything feels. When out of nowhere he’s met with his sister, the one person he’s been looking for this entire time. The one person he can talk to freely without it feeling uncomfortable at all.
Yet he can’t talk to her. There’s so much he wants to say. He wants to grab her and drag her away from the abyss. Beg her to go home with him. Leave this world.
But he can’t do any of that. He’s stuck in silence. His face being the only thing that can show the utter agony he feels as his sister turns away from him and disappears once again.
IM GONNA LEAVE THE LUMINE ONE FOR NOW CAUSE IVE GOT A POST IN MY DRAFTS GOING INTO HOW LUMINE FELT WHEN HER BROTHER LEFT HER AND THAT FITS IN PERFECTLY but seriously I don’t know how these guys are gonna recover from this.
Okay one thing that really bugs me about the game is how brushed over the travelers feelings about their twin is. All we really get is the Dain story, and then one or two voice lines about looking for their sibling. We don’t get any in depth lore about how much the traveler is going through. Having to save nations while looking for their twin.
Just the fact that Dain says that this is the first time they have been separated proves so much more that they would be taking this awfully. Not just happily going across Teyvat here there and everywhere. They are suffering. Whether in silence or not. They are taking this terribly. I’m going into all this in another post as some point heheh
YEAH I DO LIKE THAT ABOUT THE GAME it makes it feel a lot more personal! I know a lot of people consider Aether and Lumine pretty much the same character but they are genuinely so different from each other. I always get super happy whenever I’m playing and I see a mention of the twin anywhere or see something about them. I only play as Lumine but I really want to make an account with Aether so I can see what it’s like playing as him!
NARA VARUNA IS THE ABYSS TWIN??? Holy SHIT I did not notice that. I’m not gonna lie I’ve pretty much only just started the aranara quest and I’ve not been able to keep up with them. All these stupid names the aranaras really get on my nerves. But wow that’s actually gonna be so much more interesting to play now that I know that! I can get my serotonin fill whenever the twin gets mentioned now 🫶

Lost & Found?....
Ft. Tartaglia/Childe (Ajax)
Reader's pronoun : He/Him Cw : the reader fell into the fking abyss<3, abyss princess lumine, abyss reader. Ooc childe??
Summary : In which you were his long lost childhood bestfriend, but reuniting with your long lost childhood friend isn't always the warmest.
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
You were merely the core memory of his childhood. the memory you both made always made him smile, no matter which one.
Though, after his days on the abyss he lost the memories. One by one fades out, no matter how hard he tries to remember it, he couldn't. He couldn't remember how you look like. Your hair, your face, your features. It always left him questioned.
When he got out of the abyss, his first thought was his family, and you.
He tried to ask the nearby villager about your whereabout, only to be left with an answer that you had mysteriously disappeared the day after he was gone missing.
But, eventually after a brawl and huge havoc ajax's brings to the seaside village of morepesok, ajax father had no choice but to hand his beloved son to the fatui's.
Days by days went by in the fatui headquarter, ajax has long forgotten his childhood friend, Though whenever he was alone his thought always come to this certain voice he couldn't get over with.
"Ajax!... Ajax, promise me we would stay together forever!" Said a familiar voice of a boy he couldn't remember.
"But i promised you yesterday!" "I don't care! Lets do the promise again." The boy protested.
"Alright, alright!" Ajax could only huffed in response.
"You make a pinkie promise you keep it all your life. You break a pinkie promise. I throw you on the ice. The cold will kill the pinkie that once betrayed your friend. The frost will freeze your tongue off so you never lie again." The both of you said happily
..Oh... he remembered, you were his first friend, a very close one.
A child who always tags along with whatever he was doing, neither it was bad or good. Even his parents and sibling knows you well, you would sometimes have a dinner at his house or sometimes a sleepover.
Even your parents have to scold you because you always came home late.
Oh.. to those little memories that he cherished so much, it makes him misses you even more. But sadly, even when he remembers those memories he can't remember how you look like.
One by one, he remembers the memories vividly. The way you would hold his cold hand and guide him home through the cold forest, the way your smiled warmed his heart.
...He was so lost in thought until
"Sir Tartaglia, The Ship will be docked around 10 minutes until now. Please prepare yourself."
His eyes peered over the kneeling agent behind him.
"Hm." Tartaglia only hummed in response.
With that, the agent left.
Tartaglia recalled that his next mission were located in some random place in snezhnaya, he was tasked to retrieve an stolen ancient artifact which the fatui presumed it came from 500 years ago. The years where khaenriah still exist.
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
10.27 Snezhnaya.
Ajax always misses walking down the snowy forest with you, the way you would show him the path on the forest so he diddn't get lost. How your warm hand warmed his cold ones.
"So this is the place.. i diddn't know the abyss would have their hideout around here" he peered over the blurry picture of an snowy ancient ruins, "now that i'm here, will you answer my question? Abyss mage." He pointed his dagger at the exhausted abyss mage under him, blood dripping off his dagger from the countless enemies he Killed.
"Heh.. you thought you could get an easy answer of the artifact huh? Fatui" the abyss mage responded.
"Cmon now.. dont play with me, you know you're on the verge of dying right know aren't you?" he pointed the dagger even more closely to the abyss mage body.
"If you wished for the answer, why don't you ask the answer to his majesty then?" The abyss mage said lowly.
"You—" just before childe could finish his own word, an knife flew infront of his face.
"That's enough." A figure wearing a cloaked clothes said, their upper face hidden by a hood.
"Torturing my underlings is unacceptable, and i guessed you came here for the relic aren't you?" The cloaked figure said while opening his hood revealing a very familiar face to ajax himself.
For a second ajax thinks he was dreaming, the person he cherished the most, is here, in front of him. But he know something was wrong... did.. you just said, underlings?
"You... you.. shit" ajax said, his face showing shock and confusion.
"Oh Tartaglia, or should i say ajax. Don't tell me you forggoten my name already?" You said.
The way his name rolled off your tongue perfectly, it remind him of some memories.
Your name.. what was your name?...
[Na...]...
[Name]?....
[Name]!
Your name! That was your name!
"[Name]! Is that.. Is that really you?!" His face showing an shocked expression.
"Well... could you not tell? You couldn't remember your own friend?" "Or did the abyss really affect you?"
"The Abyss?! How did you know about it??" "Were you.. were you siding with the abyss?!" He screamed.
"Her majesty... she.. she saved me, and in return i... will help her achieve her dream" You said, old Memory flashing your mind.
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
"Madame!.. Madame!" You had been knocking on your dearest friend door, hoping for neither one of his family member to answer the knocking, ignoring the snowstorm that had been silencing your voice.
But— by the luck or miracle you have in your pocket, the door opened revealing an concerned mother.
"[Name]??, Oh dear! what are you doing here? The snowstorm is raging outside!" "Look at you, you got frostbite here and there" she said, her tone laced with worries as she examined your body.
"Madame.. is the rumor true?? About ajax?" You said while looking up at her, sad expression on your eye.
"Its.. sigh.., [name] why dont you come inside? I will explain it to you"
Just from her words you could already tell that the rumors was true, her tone explained it all.
"No! I cant.. i.. i need to look for him" you turned your heel, running to the forest where your bestfirend were last seen.
"Wait!... [Name] The snowstorm is still—"
—"[Name]!"
You ran as fast as your feet could take you ignoring the raging snowstorm and a cry of plea coming from Ajax mother
After all, she truly care for both of you right?..
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
Huft.. huft..
"ugh, i cant.. breath.." you said as you clutch your hand to your chest gasping for more air.
But..
"The air.. its so.. cold and the snowstorm.. is getting more rougher" "and my frostbite isn't doing any better too" you peered over your hand, showing an visible wound of a frostbite.
"I need to go fast, otherwise i'll freeze to death" again you ran, to wherever direction you could go.
"Ajax! Ajax! Where are you?" You screamed
"Answer me!" Again..
"Ajax!" Again..
"Answer me.. please.." and again..
You ran and screamed until.. you couldn't feel your leg again.
Thump.. you fell onto your knees, your body hurt. You couldn't breath, and your frostbite wound isn't doing any better.
Am i going to die here? Am i going to give up just like this? If i die here... what would my parent feel..? No.. what about ajax's mother? Can she handle the loss of her two favourite child?
Those thought keep flooding your mind "I guess it can't be helped" you closed your eyes, just before Darkness and snow engulfing your tiny body..
"Im sorry..." is all you could muster
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
??.?? unknown place.
My head?.. am i still alive?
You opened your eyes, squinting slightly at the light around you.
"Where am i?.." you looked around the place "it looks like an domain.."
"How did i get in here?..." as you tried to stand up, you realize that your leg isn't moving as you wanted it to.
My legs... how am i supposed to get out of here, i need to—
"Poor kid... falling into such a dangerous place like this" you heard a voice alongside the sound of steps.
There she stands, a young woman with a blonde hair, judging from her attire it seems that she diddn't came from teyvat. But yet she looks so graceful in it.
"Who are you?..." you looked up at her, curiosity plastered on your eyes.
She crouched over to your level, "I will help you" she said whilst holding your chin, "but.. in return, you will help me achieve my dream"
Her dream?... weird..
You had no choice but to say yes.
"Whats your name?" She says
"Im [Name], how about you?.." you said shakily.
"Im.... Lumine."
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
"And the rest.. its blurry, i can hardly remember anything these days. Guess the abyss do affect me too."
"[Name].. so you.. so you went out looking for me that day?.." "but.. but! Mother and the other diddnt say anything about you the day i returned to the village?!"
"I guess.." you hopped down from rather high platform you were standing on "She diddn't want to make you worry Ajax, what kind of mother would want to make their child worry over a trivial matter?" you walked up to him.
"And.. im sorry for not being there when you returned ajax, i should've dis— No, princess lumine I.." you sighed.
"Look ajax, this place isn't safe for you this place is overflowing with dark elemental energy. You should go back soon"
"and the artifact.. i'll just give it to you." You said while handing him the ancient artifact.
"Now go back Ajax, and never return here ever" you turned your back at him, just before you can walk away from him.
"Wait!" You feel a hand holding your cape "Why don't you.. why dont you go back to morepesok with me [name]? You know mother is still looking for you right?? "She would be very happy to see you right now!" He said with an pleading eye.
"Ajax.. i have a duty to attend too, and you too right? Now let go off me" you said trying to pry his hand off your cape.
"Please..."
It took a few tries before his hand were completely off you.
As you walked away from him, you opened up an portal leading to— who knows? Maybe anywhere away from from this auburn haired friend of yours.
"And ajax, dont try on searching for me ever again, also... be careful out there." You said before stepping on the portal, Vanishing away from his sight.
Ajax tries to open his mouth, but still no words came out of his mouth.
And yet once again—
He was left with nothing but
The feeling of loneliness and a longing feeling for your presence.
—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–—–
