I was thinking about the language barrier's reader a bit and thought that the inclusion of certain types of jewelry on reader looked odd to Hylians was really neat! So I looked around to see what types of jewelry Hylians could wear and the most I see them wearing are gold necklaces, bracelets, and the occasional jewel earring. Which isn't a very diverse jewelry set, but it is interesting. It got me thinking if the reader wears more gothic or alternative types of jewelry like studded rhinestone belts or spiky chained collars or even an industrial piercing on one if their ears. It can also add to the group's suspicions since they're timelines are a lot more fantastical and dark/gothic elements are more see of as apart of the evil side. They could've thought that reader was a spy or smthn! Thoughts?

Are you sure people aren't asking for image descriptions for accessibility reasons? These are alt text for images that describe what they are for the visually impaired, ie blind, which is not the same as writing it like a fanfiction. It's not common in mxtx fandoms, but if you've ever seen someone reblog a post transcribing what a screenshot of text says, that's the basic concept. Screen readers can't read or describe images yet, so the visually impaired rely on artists or rebloggers to write image descriptions.

Adding them is super easy on tumblr! If you hover over an image in the post editor and click the three dots right next to each other, it'll bring up the option to "Update Image Description." There are ways to add the text via html on ao3, too. We learned all about it in my web design class as it's good practice and required by law for companies in many countries.

It's not required for you to put in the effort if you do not want to, but I thought I'd share the info since your post was related to the topic and I haven't noticed any image descriptions on your comics.

(p.s. i de-anoned because i thought, if I was going to yap more, i'd let you know who's clogging up your inbox hahaha)

Scenario 1 - Marc the reality hopper

Hater!Marc (post-recovery timeline around 2021 onwards) ends up in Lover-verse world where he and Vale are in the middle of reconciling just before Vale is going to retire in 2021 (assuming in this verse Vale feels nostalgic/wants to tie up loose ends before he retires and this verse's Marc IS receptive -> they are finally on speaking terms again). But then hater!Marc crashes this verse, and when asked about his thoughts on Vale's retirement, he (not realizing the swap) ends up going on a Valentino Rossi smear campaign on media when asked and inflamed a war they all thought was put to rest. (The journos crash out because their Marc has never been this hostile, ever). This version of Vale feels hurt/betrayed thinking the progress of the past few months was a trap/lies, and then yeah the war is back on. Vales goes on a podcast the next day and retaliates (the usual stuff).

Lover!Marc (from 2015) swaps into the hater verse post Jerez-2020 (not long after Hater!Marc told Vale to gtfo of his life). His arm hurts like crap, he doesn't realize the discrepancy in timeline/universes on account of all the pain+meds (thinks he was in a random crash hence his memory is vagueish), but to learn that Vale actually came to visit and wanted to make up, and he calls Vale back. They kiss and makeup blah blah sunset and rainbows all is well

Then next day, both Marc's are back in their respective universes, but they don't really rmbr the swap (inspired by Your Name the movie's concept). So. Chaos. Confusion. Drama. And then the swaps keep happening.

So in both verses, the two Vales are confused as heck, like, wtf is going on with marc and his hot & cold treatment.

Somehow Luca (both verses) figures out what's going on at first. (like you said kou-san, Luca is probably one of the few vr46 kids Hater!Marc tolerates & they would even bond as they try to figure this out) (but i also just rlly like luca as a character who keeps his head even when things go super wrong) (they might even be honda teammates in one of the verses! because alternate reality rules :))

Imagine here Hater!Marc sneering Bez out the door after a crash out; and I fear wet mouse Pecco is going to be eaten alive if he crashes out Alex, like this Marc will have no-o-o mercy.

But essentially, Marc's swaps happen frequently and randomly & across diff timelines & they don't realize at first.

I think it would be fun also to analyze the 2021-jaded Marc mindset vs the young-still-hopeful pre-injury 2015 Marc in this

Scenario 2 - Vale goes through the reality grinder instead

Alt!Hater-verse!Vale (post the hospital convo where Hater!Marc kicks him out) ends up in a reality post 2015-Sepang.

It is the weekend after Sepang. This is the week the Italian journalists harass Marc and his family at their home. Vale has no idea how he got here but he books it out of there to get to Marc's place in spain. 2015marc cannot believe his eyes that Vale is there to save him, to want to protect him after he started everything. No one gets physically assaulted/hurt here <- this is important.

Vale sees how heartbroken 2015 Marc is and wants to make it up to him. And Marc is more than happy to put this behind them (even though his family really wants to round up the neighbors and lynch Vale, or drive him out of the country at least). but Vale has realized what he's missing out on, what he's done. Never wants to swap back. This is the redo he's wanted PLUS he gets to be young and race (Marc) again. He tells himself he will do it right this time.

Meanwhile, Other!Vale (from post-Sepang2015) is living out the consequences of him losing his crap in front of the media and he's now living the reality of Marc hating his guts while also losing spectacularly in races (he's in his flop-most era, in 2020s). He does not like it. Also he's old(er) now. He wants his time back pls.

Luca is his go to person because Uccio thought he'd lost his mind (once more Luca saves the day). Luca reasons out that this might be a sign from the universe for Vale to correct his old wrong and make up with Marc in order to go home. Vale insists he's done absolutely nothing wrong. Ever.

Except that in Hater!Marc-verse, the italian home invasion incident had escalated compared to his verse - in this one, alex actually got hurt and that's the tipping point (on top of vale's crappy comments) for this verse's marc that turns it into hatred (because his little brother is, ultimately, more important than a hero's fickle love). This is an event not canon in his verse, and Vale is starting to think Luca is right but also he cannot turn back time to 'fix' this.

Cue enemies to lovers!arc - ft snarky!suspicious!Marc, anti-Vale campaigner Alex, longsuffering Luca and at-his-wits'-end!Vale

The Vales swap only once and seemingly permanently hence Vale's freak out at being trapped in the alt verse.

But I imagine at the end, in Haterverse, Vale does get Marc to accept his apology, like Marc might finally forgive him even if Marc is already with someone else (some element of tragedy is needed here), and in Lover-verse, that Vale is getting flashes of dreams/visions of the universe he came from and he suspects his time in this 'paradise' is ending. He knew it was coming, deep down. So he wakes, one night, and this Marc (not his, never will be his again) is asleep next to him, blissfully oblivious and so, so peaceful that Vale's heart hurts. He tries not to wake him as he searches for a pen, a marker, and writes on his palm, a message to his counterpart that basically states, "You love him. Don't waste this." Or some variation of thereof before they swap once more (and for the last time) to their respective worlds so that the Vales each get what they 'deserve' in a sense. The Vale who spent his time in Haterverse genuinely remorseful and trying to make up with Marc comes back to a universe where Marc chooses him and they get to be together; while other Vale manages to right the wrong - the journalist escalation incident - so that no one gets hurt, but he himself doesn't get 'his' Marc but his guilt is forgiven and they can move towards being friends once more.

Some words on this: I think in scenario 1 there's a lot of shenanigans to be packed in that it can be a multi-chap dramedy fic, but scenario 2 can probably be fitted into <10k word oneshot (if i ever get around to writing it lol). But also scenario 2 was inspired by me finally reading the articles on what went down when the italian journalists went to harass the marquezs and I was mortified by extent of their actions (the fake podium and that parody of an award?? evil! marc was so brave to keep smiling even in the face of all that) and then i imagined what if it did escalate...? and of course the ending should have the 'it's too late, vale' vibes that your art was depicting all along.

Sorry if it got confusing at times, it's just super raw ideas and flashes of ideas that came together. but uh that's all i have for today i think. good day to you! :)

I love the idea of the hater vale realizing how awful he was to Marc back then and he suffer from the love that he could have had with Marc if he wasn’t an asshole.

And I imagine that congrats it’s too late drawing as a start of the story which does not exist yet. Like in 2025, Marc finally snaps and he starts to show disgust and anger to the media and other riders. And vale slowly realizing that what he was doing was wrong and he should had been beg for forgiveness. But this Marc doesn’t seem like he’d listen to anyone’s words including Dani and dovi. He became aggressively protective to his brother and his young boys.he ignores Italians and other people who had said something disrespectful to him and his people. Only Fabio and Fermin (also ai and Chantra)could talk to him on the grid except Alex. But I also think Luca would be the one Marc can’t be rude or harsh to. Maybe because he has his eyes. Maybe because he looks a lot like his dear brother. Maybe because Luca had never mocked him or Alex. Maybe because he still wanted to have a hope. Oh well o think we both love Luca. Or else I just love Marc being soft to Luca. Our poor beautiful boy…

Idk for sure but I think that people in kink also use alt spellings etc as a diff way to avoid the wrong audience. It's a specialized tag for "sexualized" versions of stuff that would otherwise turn up in discourse tags etc. It's kinda hard for a "normal" blog to accidentally see stuff like this without seeking it out. But if we all started tagging the real words then horny posts would show up in tags and stuff they don't really belong in. Idk if this makes sense but it's how I look at it.

Ok before I play with the timeline a bit, I want to say....it's INCREDIBLY SHITTY of Atlus not to warn people that it's an alt timeline (I'm viewing these timelines as kinda like the Pokemon Ash Anime vs the Pokemon I Choose You movie timelines, or just any of the Pokemon Manga)

It def would've fucked the sales over but it's just........it feels RUDE to the consumers. Esp since this is WORSE THAN A MEMORY WIPE! At least with Memory wipes (MW), MWs can at least be used in the narrative later. (such as how Arena/Q1/Ultimax work and are kind of a mini trilogy, Q1 explains how the P3/4 cast trust and get along so fast within less than a 24 hour timeframe, it's cause they already had Q1 to bond!)

But a completely separate canon? We need more context! I've been playing with the idea that the P3/4 casts (not including FeMC) are from a diff timeline as the P3/4 casts from PQ1. So in theory PQ1 and PQ2 can happen fairly close to each other, or they don't and the Q event that happens depends on a timeline. But that's something we kinda need to know.

Ok ok, so here's my updated timeline (ignoring P3R bc I just KNOW they are scorching the earth with that, you'll probs see some similarities with my prev Persona timelines as well as this one too, this one is more simplified down):

Very sloppy and hurried in my defense. I'm half tempted to put P3R on it's own timeline. So to clarify, I'm not saying P5T and P5D parallel each other exactly, but it's a similar timeframe iirc. And I know P5D takes place DURING P5/R, but it was just easier to show in the timeline, so it's more of a list of "game order" rather than super specific times.

And I KNOW that versions can also vary, I already did a timeline like that linked above (more so the first link, note the 2nd link was more when we weren't 100% sure P5 took place in 2016). Maybe later I can make it super specific again but.....not right now.

Also P5X is more of a theory, but this whole timeline is a theory so eh!

Persona Trinity Soul was declared an Alt canon to the games, so it shouldn't really be on this game time timeline about the games.....but it makes it easier to showcase the different timelines and similar events. (in general movies/anime/manga/stage plays all have their own separate canon too, PTS just gets a liiiiitle special treatment since it was originally a sequel to P3 prior to P4's release. PTS is just in a similar boat as P5T, haha both have T in it, and maybe P3P tho we know 100% P3P is canon to the games we just see different continuities.)

Ok theorizing aside........ I guess I'm going to have to approach this game differently.......

Now do I go about it with a clean slate? Or do I just "assume the best possible actions/writing were taken into consideration prior to these events" (aka Makoto isn't an asshole and is better written in dungeon 3 and onwards, and Futaba totally did get her heart stolen, and we TOTALLY DID listen to the public about Oku and TOTALLY DIDN'T also do it for Haru yup 100% blame on the public and ourselves for listening >_>)....I'm pretty sure the game has lied to me a handful of times prior to the tutorial, do I just take those as new truths now?

Should I juggle it being a new slate AND also remembering what happened in the actual P5 so I can point out the lies-I MEAN ahem "differences"?

theories why bucky is prob gonna die soon:

as an OG legacy character, bucky's time in the current timeline of the mcu is already limited, here's why

1. Sam and Sharon are going to be the new Steve&Bucky cpt america duo. Aside from his own storyline, Bucky's narrative place in Sam's arc is to remind him of Steve and the faith Steve put in him. Once Sam navigates his own journey to carrying shield, this narrative purpose will be fulfilled. Sam and Sharon represent modern day symbols for American justice and hope, a black man and a powerful woman with agency. They'd be a welcome duo to fill the shoes of Steve & Bucky's bygone wartime honors.

2. The show's narratives sets Bucky up as "irredeemable" or at least his emotional state relies heavily on his personal concept of redemption right from the first episode (with his murder of the innocent boy). You know what they say in storytelling, "you don't introduce a smoking gun in the first act without..." Superhero-wise this almost always indicates a heroic sacrifice, precendented in the MCU by Natasha "Red in My Ledger" Romanoff sacrificing herself for Clint and his family, Tony "You're not the guy to make the sacrifice play" Stark saving the world and dying).

3. Bucky's insistence Sam claim his rightful mantle of Cpt America on his own terms mirrors Dr Erskin's insistence Steve remain a good man on his own terms. We all know what happened to Erskin: but the memory of the doctor inspires Steve to carry out the original mission: not to be a great soldier, but a good man. Sam has yet to be faced with the pivotal moment where he must claim this in his own way and remember who came before him. Bucky is the only one connected to Steve's original legacy that could offer this perspective to Sam. Honoring Bucky's death could act as this reminder for Sam, alongside serving Bucky's own personal ends if written correctly.

4. Super Soldiers are framed as dangerous and the elimation of them appears to be the narrarive goal. The viewer can hypothesize Bucky will see himself as the progenitor of this deviant use of Super Soldier serum and believe the world will be safer when good men like Sam uphold what is right and the dark shadow of the shady origins of the serum and its cruel misuses (Isaiah) is obliterated. Steve was special and since Steve there has been no "positive" use of the serum. Sam is destined to be Cpt America without the serum by merit of his heart and Steve's faith in his goodness. IMO this is an even more pure origin of a Cpt America and harkens back to Skinny Steve.

5. Bucky has a personal beef with Zemo which sets up a big antagonistic fight and clear opportunity for heroic sacrifice.

6. "If you were sleeping and when you woke up a miracle happened..." An ominous line. Sleep=Death, waking up... who might he see that might make his world better? (shipper goggles for those that own a pair)

7. It seems like Marvel wants to kill off all its legacy characters before Multiverse comes out in anticipation of bringing them back in some alt universe/time travel manner. Tony, Natasha, Steve, and now Bucky. Whether that's bringing them back as the OG actors or different younger versions of them played by diff people.

8. "If he was wrong about you then he was wrong about me" ... This line indicates both Sam and Bucky will prove the opposite. Steve wasn't wrong about either of them. Sam by rising to become Cpt America and Bucky perhaps by a heroic sacrifice.

9. The fact that it was (queerbait most likely) hinted Bucky could be revealed as gay/bi post-Cpt America saga in TFATWS. Disney is Disney and we all know they aren't ready to have a longterm canon gay character that is fully developed with a romance and life. Bucky's trajectory as a tragic hero is already set and and his death thus assured at some point - therefore Disney could avoid accusations of "Bury Your Gays" this way.

For those w shipper goggles this last point is going to hurt you:

10. If Bucky died... Imagine him buried next to Steve at Arlington? Womb to tomb, sweetheart.

Obviously that is sentimental shipper goggles but more seriously, they have been framed narratively as linked, as the duo "inseparable on schoolyard and battlefield", to have them find peace together in the end would surely quell much of the criticism Marvel took at the end of Endgame following their separation. Also it would be a fitting "hero's" burial for the both of them after their lifetime of service and cement Bucky as a hero.

-Even if Bucky doesn't die in TFATWS his lease on MCU life is undoubtedly running out.

i guess it depends on how big the crowd is. everybody's different but I will say any kind of fright means you care, which is a good thing! Also the thing people forget about performing, for the most part, is you can't SEE the audience, most of the time they're in the dark. That's why performing for friends or in a small space where you can see everyone is much more nerve-racking

Did you write each of the songs with the performers in mind or did you cast them afterwards?

great question. Except for "Also You," which was written with Jackie Tohn for Jackie Tohn, we had no idea who would sing each song. I did the demos for almost all of them and then we had to pitch actors/artists to see if they'd be interested... which wasn't as hard (luckily) as seeing if they were AVAILABLE... which many weren't given the short time we had to make the show. Hopefully we can get some of those folks on for the next season IF THEY'LL LET US HAVE ONE!

How much music theory goes into your songwriting? And did you learn all of it from playing the violin? In what way does it go into your songs?

all GREAT questions. I mean, music theory isn't something you CONSCIOUSLY employ when writing something, it's just that it really helps to know the rules or music when shaping it and trying to maximize its production. And as a matter of fact, yeah, I DID learn most of it playing violin. But when I was playing violin I was ingesting music from the perspective of a student ingesting information, not as a proactive creator putting anything of my own out into the world.

what other instruments would you like to learn in the future?

i just need to spend time trying to get better at the ones I've plateaued with. I feel like I got as good as I'd ever get on the guitar when i was like 19. So I've been trying to get better during the Quarantine. Picked up my violin and dusted off that Vivaldi, started doing drum rudiments on my drum pad, and started learning new licks and scales for guitar. Stuff I never got round to doing.

How different is it doing a show like Royalties where you're heavily involved in the creative process compared to other projects you've done in the past?

i'd say night and day but that's an understatement. When I did Glee all I had to do was act in scenes, record songs, and go to dance rehearsal. With Royalties, it's that AND casting, doing pre production, post production, notes, meetings, notes, writing and producing songs, location scouting, blah blah blah lots of the stuff that you don't have to worry about if you're not a creator. But make no mistake I absolutely love it.

...well the good news is I finally finished sorting out the files for my posted fics across my ao3 accounts, including deleting a bunch of dupes and put them in a proper, well organised folder with proper fucking files names that match the titles on AO3

the bad news is...I put every thing that’s left (wips (including alt versions fml because I like doing ‘but what if...’ diff versions), finished-but-unposted stuff, ideas etc) in 1 folder to sort out 1 by 1 but that means I can now see the total number of files a lot easier and 

but fuck I just realised there’s still 1 subfolder I didn’t merge (my current fandoms (MDZS,TKRB)) and I thought to myself ‘oh, that’s ok, I haven’t done fuck all compared to my old fandoms, it won’t be many more files and they’re probably better organised)

i mean I know why, I have so many fucking wips of various lengths and alternate versions and I’m a fic idea hoarder, BUT STILL

679 files to sort out....well I always knew this part would be the most work and take the longest, dealing with the posted fic files was a quick fix to clear/sort out a good 600-700 files which was why I did it first...
