Raven: You have more qualities than you think, Damian.
Raven, pointing to Damian's chest : You have this.
Damian: I do have pretty great boobs, thank you.
Raven: ...
Raven: I meant your heart but you're not wrong either.

LouiganWeek Day 1 - Dare/Sensitive

("DT what does this have to do with the prompt- " Uhhhhhhhh it doesn't, I just physically could not abandon this idea so it had to be put in somewhere...)

something that's been weighing on my mind ever since learning about the situation with ezra / toonimal is seeing how these predators will take the active hostility that is frequently directed towards minors in online spaces to their advantage and use it to prey on vulnerable children. i think that we as adults in online fandom should probably come together and maybe rethink the language / manner we go about interacting with kids bc clearly the way things are rn is causing active harm.
like obviously, if you're an adult and aren't comfortable with minors interacting with you or your content, you should be allowed to set that boundary and should be vocal about it, ( especially if the content you create isn't safe for them to consume. ) but i don't think talking to them like they're a blight on all that is good and holy is the way to go about it. maybe just saying you're an 18 plus account will suffice, you don't have to tell them to fuck off.

I've dealt with some real weirdos and especially in the NSFW spaces I've been, people lose a lot of common sense with strangers, but especially when they're horny, or think being in sexual spaces (or other places that are less formal and more open about some things) makes your boundaries nonexistent. People can hardly act normal asking for @ s of accounts for that kind of thing, but y'know it also applies to SFW spaces as well sometimes because the average attitude in some spaces are super goddamn weird and either culty or reinforcing parasocial shit... or just really entitled, need it be access to the creators of something, or towards just other people in the circle making stuff
Remember, if some rando is thinks they're entitled to your art/writing/edits/mods/whatever you post because they like it and act like you're a cold selfish bitch who is suddenly bad at being in [whatever hobby/creative job industry you do if you do that] for having boundaries, rejecting a commission/work from them, sometimes even just telling them requests aren't open, or they violate rules you have established are needed to follow you wherever (such as age), you're allowed to give them the boot because they're annoying, wrong, and are more often then not holding a one way ticket to parasocial town and you do not want that near you.
You owe them nothing, if negative behavior like that towards you is brought on/worsened by their mental health issues/disabilities/so on, it's still not your damn job or obligation to keep them around or help them manage even if you're understanding of it because they aren't your friend or kid. That's an explanation, not excuse or get out of jail free, block em.

After getting overthrown and betrayed since none of his so-called trusted friends did not come to his rescue, a hurt and revengeful king Genda desperately prayed and begged for Aphrodi, the god of love. It was one last desperate attempt of getting help from somebody, anybody in his delirious-broken state.
Heart aching at the state he found the king in and at what he heard, the blond decided to answer and gifted some water of the gods to Koujirou, who drank it like a thirsty beast after days of not seeing any water. Aphrodi had no time to tell him of side effects as the burning sensation started spreading from his throat into all his body, causing him to faint from the pain in his savior's loving hold.
After recovering, he stormed back into his old kingdom, as a one man army, to reclaim all that was unjustly taken from him. The hands and fists - said to rule with care and kindness - now broke swords, spiers and bones with their renewed hold, to teach the lesson that what wasn't learned with love would be taught with pain.
Once he sat back on the throne, clothes and cloak stained with the blood of those he once trusted, his god came to check in on him. Aphrodi got in by a window, his shiny pairs of wings helping with the soft landing on the ground near his king, Genda's eyes were on him since the minute his holy presence was felt.
Given that the old one was broken in battle, the blond offered Genda a new crown: it was adorned with golden leaves and shiny, polished jewels that glinted in the soft light emitted by the deity handling it. Crawling into the thone's occupant lap, Aphrodi softly kissed the artifact before safely placing it in Koujirou's head as a sign of his pride and joy for the success his beloved archived.
The bitter feelings in his chest and mind getting overpowered by warmth had him looking up, meeting by his lord's red eyes and soft smile directed solely at him. That made the king smile for the first time since stepping in that wretched palace, the feeling of blessings rained down on him as holy hands tenderly caressed his face and a prideful voice whispered to him "Long live the king."

Yep, those rose-colored Clear Sky glasses are now decimated, ty. (:
I always got the impression that Thunder mainly forgave and helped Clear Sky out of pity. He went to live with Clear Sky out of pity, didn’t he? Before the Star Flower Incident ™.
Oh man, like... in a better narrative, it would have been a major plot point that Thunder went to live with Clear Sky out of pressure.
Because it's actually Gray Wing. He's the reason why Thunder did it.
Sun Trail closes off with the, "I'll be his father!" line, which is forgotten immediately in Thunder Rising as Gray Wing really begins his apologia. Thunder gets a magic dream from Storm assuring him that he will save Clear Sky, "his father," (a grown man) from himself one day.
So from the very get go, we are seeing a kitten who is being told he has some amount of influence over the man who abandoned him.
Over the course of the book we get to watch him dramatically announce stuff like "he's my father and why doesn't he pay attention to me!" And visibly struggle with Moor life. His relationship with Gray Wing is strained, even ending in, "You don't know what's best for me!"
So during that fire that causes SkyClan to lose their home, Gray Wing ends up actively pushing Thunder towards Clear Sky. "Don't you have anything to say to your faaaather :) ?"
After that, Thunder thinks Clear makes him feel good. He praises him for his strength (because he's useful now), tells him he only abandoned him "as a test" (liar), and claims his skills can improve in the Forest. But his manipulation begins immediately-- telling Thunder he has to hurry up with a goodbye to his family by belittling him, calling him a little baby for wanting it.
So... no. None of this was pity. Thunder was actively pushed by Gray Wing and his dead mother to reconnect with his Real Father. He ended up living in a camp where he was emotionally abused further. And the series continues on the note that Thunder still craves his approval and that's treated like a good thing.
It's genuine. They mean it. Pity is only a factor in situations where Clear Sky MIGHT face consequences, to justify doing absolutely nothing.
