The claim that "Superman is too strong to have any meaningful conflict" is a ridiculous statement and makes the assumption that all conflict is rooted in violence.

Superman has conflicts around philosophy, societal issues, loneliness, balancing work and personal life, human empathy, rescue and yes, he does fight things. Things that are as strong as him. Just because he can move fast and punch good doesn't mean he can't have anxiety.

Spencer is a biter. Yes i will elaborate, thank you for asking:

Sometimes he just gets so overwhelmed with emotion that he has the urge to bite literally anything— his own fingers, his tie, pens (that he's sanitised and are only for his own use).

It can be brought on by anything, anger, frustration, irritation— anything that makes him so pent up that he just has to let it out somehow.

It's only when he starts seeing you that it comes on in happy moments too. When hugging you, he gets engulfed in affection, only able to fulfil that ache in his chest by biting down on your shoulder.

Or when you're just laying together in bed, you on your phone and him flicking through a book. The sheer domesticity of the situation hits him all at once, and he just has to lean over and nip at your fingers before turning back to his book, leaving you confused.

After a few weeks of this you start getting used to it. He never bites harshly, only a little, and it just becomes a cute quirk of his.

(but let's not talk about the first time you have sex and he gets so inundated with love that he just has to bite your asscheek or your inner thigh— soothing the pain immediately when he descends his mouth on you, but the bite marks remain for a while after)

ok sorry this is gonna be a bit of a rant but i genuinely don’t understand how gerrard and tommy were introduced as bigoted antagonistic characters who made hen and chimneys workplace hostile, and now they just kick about every other episode as series regulars at this point, so tired of seeing them like why are we brushing aside the racism/homohobia/misogyny?

just feels like it takes a lot of the fun out of watching the show just having to see these characters time and time again with no repercussions for their obvious bigotry and microaggressions

like they made gerrard happy on hotshots for some reason and now he’s still gonna be back again, and they basically pretend tommy wasn’t apart of it now, just ignoring how he acted and keep bringing him back for episodes for some reason, just so annoying!!
