I understand people have good intentions when they do this, but please don't tag my art of jellie that was created when she was alive and depicting her as such, with #tw animal death or anything similar.

Things in TDP that surprised me but I'm not mad about
The title is a bit misleading because I could never be mad at The Dragon Prince but I'm specifically talking about season 6 because I think Aaron, Justin, and everyone that worked on this show infused this season with drugs because this is so fire they fucking cooked with this one.
Soucering: most of the gifs used in this post are from this post  by celestialowlryx unless stated otherwise! (I am not in the business of stealing people's shit)
SPOILERS AHEAD
The Blood on the Beach!
Tumblr media
There was a lot of blood on that beach like the blood that you could tell was blood on that beach in the first episode, and I know this show doesn't shadow away from death but THAT'S A LOT OF FUCKING BLOOD IN THE SAND! Not to mention, CLAUDE IS COVER IN BLOOD! Plus the whole Claude amputated her own leg, and her fucking voice actor during that scene, oof my heart!
The Bathing Scene
Tumblr media
I'm very surprised that this was allowed dispute knowing nothing about TV rating (I mean obviously it was allowed it's in the fucking show!) But that scene is silence, besides a backing track, and you have a Terry bathing Claude in the ocean! That scene is so fucking intimate, especially for what is supposed to be a children's show and it makes me go insane!
Rayla and Callum's Bed Sharing Scene
Tumblr media
Yionked from this post by rayllurn
I'm looking at this in part from the eyes of a parent dispute not being a parent and just being a 23-year-old fucker that watches children's cartoons they have a weird obsession with, But this is another scene I'm a little surprised was allowed. Although I love that it was allowed! I can see from the eyes of a parent this scene be too "raunchy" because "What happens when two be people share a bed... sex!" but Fuck you this scene was great!
Viren and His Wife's Backstory
Tumblr media
Yoinked picture from this post by Kilfeur
Okay fucking attack me in the internet town square if I'm wrong, but Viren described abuse... right!? Like that was Spousal Abuse right!? Because if it wasn't it was so fucking close! And where the scene wasn't animated in the traditional sense respective to The Dragon Prince, that whole sequence is insane!
All the Kissing Scenes
Tumblr media
Damn, there was a shit ton of PDA this season, Specially thinking about the one scene with Rayla and Callum on top of the Starscraper, THINGS ARE GETTING FUCKING INIMATE FOR KIDS SHOW! I fucking love it! I love when we can do Romance like this so no complaining here there was just a lot, or many in the scope of the series as a whole this seems like a lot, I don't know, but regardless a win for romantics everywhere!
Viren's Sacrifice*
Tumblr media
Yoinked from this post by madou-dilou
This one is more of an honorable mention, was it surprising, fuck yeah, but it didn't surprise me in the way everything else did. I did think Soren was going to be murdered for a hot second, which was shocking but fuck this scene had been balling like a God damn baby!
Janai and Amaya's Wedding*
Tumblr media
Another Honorable mention because it's not shocking that it happened The Dragon Prince has not strayed from representation and the longer it continues the more representation we seem to get, although queer representation is still always shocking to get especially in children's cartoons, so it's going on this list for all the creators that have wanted to give us queer rep but couldn't and to those that have paved the way for us to get here!
Allen
Couldn't find a picture of Allen lol
Okay, you may not get this if you haven't read the graphic novel Through the Moon but Allen is a minor character way back from season one that Lujanne couples up with and I was surprised to see especially because the day before the season came out. I had read the graphic novel and cackled at his presence! So I freaked the fuck out when he was just there, at the moon nexus!
Rayla and Her Parents*
Tumblr media
I'm adding this because it was another scene that had me balling (I think mostly because I have a good relationship with my parents and I couldn't imagine losing them) Knowing Rayla's character it wasn't surprising but I respect everyone who made that scene possible because, brother, that's emotional!
Finally Leola
Tumblr media
*sigh* Leola's existence in general is a shock, and to me changes Aaravos completely! That purple motherfucker created the Sea of the Castout with his own tears, then got imprisoned in a pearl in a calm in his daughter's bones in the same sea he made with his own tears of grief! In addition, THEY FUCKING ANIMATED CHILD DEATH! THE ANIMATORS ANIMATED A CHILD DYING ON SCREEN! I don't give a fuck if there wasn't blood, THERE WAS CHILD DEATH ON SCREEN IN A CHILDREN'S SHOW! HOW HEAVY METAL IS THAT?!
Honorable of the honorable mentions: Big Aarvaos
Fuck he's huge.
Tumblr media
Alright, I'm done.

Your follow-up to the horse info post is just as good as the first one, and I offer a sincere thanks because those sorts of posts take forever, and are a lot of work.
But the reason I’m sending this is because of the joy of seeing the horsey prosthetics. I was aware that injury didn’t and doesn’t mean instant euthanasia, but I didn’t know what advances had been made and it’s a lovely thing to be able to help a friend live their best life.
For instances where euthanasia is the only course of action, would that be something like a horse has sustained a break that has gone septic in a time prior to antibiotics? So the horse would likely die anyway and it would be more humane to put it down than to let nature run its course, I’m thinking. Or is that completely wrong?
Thanks again for all of the hard work you put into these posts and answers!
Eugh, infections are a really horrible and scary part of horse health crisis management, because they can be very touch-and-go depending on where the actual infection is and how early it's treated with antibiotics. Once sepsis has taken hold, there usually isn't a lot modern medicine can do but try to provide comfort measures through medications, and pump the horse with large-bore doses of IV antibiotics, stress-reducing medications to keep them from panicking and their bodies from working too hard, and fluids while hoping the immune system is still strong enough to put the antibiotics to use and win against a case of sepsis. Sometimes, the bacterial load in the body is just too much or the infection has caused irreparable damage to a critical organ like the heart, and there isn't any other way to show the animal mercy but to euthanize. Most cases of sepsis, before death, result in a comatose state before the body completely shuts down from multiple organ failure, and it's an extremely miserable way to die. So yes, when euthanasia is discussed with horses, it's primarily when there is nothing else that can be done to make the horse's quality of life better while its suffering is only going to get worse (usually resulting in death) regardless of veterinary science or a limitless budget.
The problem with antibiotics in general is that they take time to work. If you've ever been miserable from something like a UTI or a chest infection, you know waiting 2-3 days for oral antibiotics to fully kick in sucks (IV antibiotics tend to work much faster, but still take a bit of time to reach full potency), because the infection is still there and causing intense pain and discomfort. The reason it takes so long is because antibiotics stimulate an immune system into going ham on an infection and destroying it. If there isn't enough time, or the immune system is already shot, then antibiotics may not be enough. End-stage or late-stage sepsis in pretty much any mammal is pretty much gonna be deadly, because sepsis is commonly called "blood poisoning" and kills by causing multiple essential organs to stop working in rapid succession - brain, heart, liver, lungs, etc. - like fairy lights on a string going out one by one after the first light fails. "Too far gone" happens, and that's when euthanasia becomes an open subject, because there's nothing left to anticipate for the animal but more suffering before they're going to die of their infection/injury.
Good vets will ALWAYS try to fight until the bitter end to provide options and other forms of intervention in saving an animal's life from disease or injury, but they also are specifically trained to know when a situation is just too beyond what they're capable of addressing and when continuing to try to treat an animal is only going to prolong its suffering before it inevitably succumbs to death. That's why prosthetics are becoming a thing for horses now! The cost of 3D printers have been going down, more designs for prosthetics are being published, and better materials are being employed for optimal horse comfort and recovery. Most injuries that result in a disabled leg in horses are caught and treated rapidly by owners and vet teams with no serious infections setting in, and so the main reason euthanasia has been employed for leg breaks and cases of amputation was more for preventing the horse from suffering without a mobility aid or prosthetic. Now, humans are catching up and figuring out what materials and structural designs work best in prostheses for horses, and we're seeing a huge increase in cases of horses surviving and living long, happy lives even after losing a leg!

what are your thoughts on the naruhina dynamic? I adore hinata, we don't often get characters like her
i LOOOOVE naruhina omfg they were my day ones when i first got into naruto.. i used to enjoy fluffier ships at the time so they perfectly fit my modus operandi lol. i think it's a shame how underwritten their relationship is in main canon (in the sense that they don't get as much page time) because the set up is so good and the few moments they do share with each other are incredibly potent. the pain arc was utterly life changing for me and while i loathe the way the anime generally tends to portray most of the female cast this was one occasion where its expansion on the manga was actually so well executed and remains seared in my mind to this day (please watch from 2:06 of this amv it makes me feel CRAZY). unfortunately the ball was totally dropped with neji's death and instead of adapting hinata's full THREE page monologue to naruto the anime reduced it down to one line that she's consistently been mocked for even though her intentions in the aftermath of that event were so sincere.. i'm always baffled by people's hatred of her because they seem to act like she's timid or quiet on purpose as if she wasn't abused by her father for half of her life. and then they act like she's stupid and can only think about her feelings for naruto at the expense of everything else. but if it was anyone out there on the battlefield watching someone they love get absolutely pulverized would they not do something about it too regardless of their own ability in comparison? i don't think that moment ever came down to logic and i don't think it even had to. comparatively when she made a remarkable display of composure and emotional strength in response to her cousin's death everyone laughed at her for subsequently accepting the smallest bit of comfort (and don't even get me started on how neji fans feel about her generally.. they direct more hatred to that poor girl than they do her father lmao it's insane). it's simply bizarre the expectations she's held to and the consistency with which she's underestimated because she's capable of a lot emotionally and the development is there! and a lot of people act like if naruto really loved her he would have reciprocated during the main narrative but i always argue it was unrealistic for any relationship between the teen characters to be actualized during the main narrative because they were literally at war.. i'm an avid hater of the last admittedly but that's because i think it squanders the potential the main narrative immediately set up with naruto and hinata theoretically bonding over their grief and desire to take action to ensure nothing like what they went through ever happened again. i've always dreamed of post-war naruto commencing his education in leadership and diplomacy under tsunade's tutelage and that occasionally entailing long days in the library reading over historical scrolls and the like that happen to sometimes be on the same shelf as a scroll on the history of cursed seals, which of course hinata begins to look into after the war because she wants this branch clan business over and done with for good and if there's a way to remove those seals forever she'll find it. the idea of the two of them on awkward library non-dates that eventually segue into something more and develop a rapport and friendship between them that can bloom into love is simply so special to me like urgh they make me Weepy. i truly love them so so much and most of my naruto fanfiction is actually about them lol i do think a lot of it is cringe and over the years i tried to rewrite some of it but if you're interested in reading all of it is here

AAA I’m so glad someone sent me this… Grim my everything. My confidant… my best friend… my silly rabbit 😏 But for real, where do I even begin with him?
(Long post under the cut!)
He started off as a character I made specifically to be able to RP when I was at my lowest, mentally and energy-wise. He’s grown, as I have, and he changed me, honestly. For the better.
At his conception he was a gruff, depressed, duty-bound and anxious mess that saw himself as nothing but a burden on all he interacted with. He was also cishet (lol) and my first OC I ever really RP’ed out in the world in WoW rather than with a friend, so I didn’t really know what I was allowed to do, or how to interact with folks, so, neither did he. Autism runs deep, as usual.
Tumblr media
His past is… more than troubled, in every way I could think up at the time. When I made him, I made him to suffer, as I had been in my mental health pit for years with no hope of getting out. And I wanted to be able to relate. So I gave him aggressive, pushy parents, a line of failures, and a desolate disposition. And yet, seemingly on his own, he developed this will. This desire to improve, to be better than he was the day before, and to help people. He wanted to be better. So, I did too.
He talks little of his past, save for those who he’s close to and have the courage to ask. His plethora of scars aren’t for show, so to speak. He recalls each one’s origin, the one crossing his eye coming to his memory only in flashes. Only in nightmares, buried in his memory.
As a teen he roamed Darkshore, a ghost of a person shrouded in grief and rage. He was found, eventually, by a special someone that allowed him to call her Maggie. She led him to Moonglade where, after months of much struggle in trying to communicate without being able to form words in his worgenistic mouth, began training there under one Katrena Elswith, a disgraced druidic teacher who was the only one who agreed to be his Shan’do.
All of this happened in backstory however, and much more happened beyond this too. He eventually completed his training and joined the effort in the Tanaan Jungle, intending to meet death there, but managing to find a small glimmer of purpose, instead.
Tumblr media
Early on in his RP days, he was asked to join a guild as one of the officers (little did they know he was nineteen. His troubles aged him beyond what others thought), and at a guild function he met someone special: Alythae Wildsong.
Where would he even be without Aly? Their relationship progressed quickly, possibly quicker than he wanted, but it was real. She taught him that he could be loved. That he deserved love. He was more than what he could give others. And he taught her, too. An exchange, entirely coincidental at first, and then fully voluntary.
Tumblr media
They went on adventures after adventures together. Some dangerous, some relaxed, some downright ridiculous. But they worked through them together, hands locked together in a bond as they discovered things about each other, and things about themselves that they did not know. Deception. And blood magic. Oh, the blood magic.
He nearly lost himself to it, during the Fourth War. The blight in Darkshore was destroying his body, despite his attempted protections, and he was nearly killed by it. A necessary evil, he thought. His fur gone, his skin blight-pocced, he delved into it. It felt… natural, for reasons he could not yet explain why.
Tumblr media
And yet, it was consuming him.
Aly brought him back. Cleansed him enough for him to make a recovery. But he found the magic…innate, somehow. He learned why, eventually, but that’s not something he likes to share pretty much ever. Regardless, he and Aly finally  got married in December after several long years of engagement, and now happily live together in Feralas! Along with their many animals, and Grim’s animal scouts, and of course their dog Pippin.
Tumblr media
This has already gone on WAY longer than I intended but this feels just like the tip of the iceberg lol. I know this is cheesy but having Grim, knowing what he’s gone through and still he continues on… it gives me reason to be better, too. If he can go through all that and still be a good person, I can too. Without Aly he wouldn’t be half the character he is today, so thank you so much to @tyranduh you mean so much 2 me.
Here's a few more of my favorite pieces of him <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thank you so so much for the ask and for the opportunity to infodump on my favorite guy <3

Vavrinac started the pack around 0500AD almost 200 years before the twins were born. Only 100 years after he started the pack did a siedr or sied (Norse equivalent of a shaman or witch also known as a vulva / volur) came to tell him that twins would be born upon the pack. One touched by Hel (the Norse goddess of hel or the underworld) who would always have her footing there and in the land of Midgard (the living human world) and One so loved and golden he would rival Baldr but he would not die like the real one by Loki’s hand, he would learn to become his own and thus foil and be the down fall of Vav just like Loki’s entrapment after killing Baldr was his downfall.
Vav wanted this prophecy to never happen because he wanted his reign on his pack and children to be everlasting. Because he deemed this Siedr of Vulva so fucking terrible and a liar he killed her.  Which upset many people of the pack at the time considered that the pack all believed that you treat a siedr with respect regardless of the outcome of whatever fortune or future they told. To kill them was also seen the worst crime to Odin / Freyja. Most of the people of the pack decided of course that they would wait until those twins appeared and then of course kill off Vav whenever it was over with.
Sadly that never came to pass because of Vavrinac’s insufferable need to be a terrible father to Katia. He fucked it all up and ended up getting away in the scuffle of all the BS that he caused. Plus his sister, Katarína used her siren magic to help make sure that no one questioned his rule. No one questioned what he did to his children.
Now the part of the prophecy was true. Katia's blood is black, unlike Artem’s blood which is ‘pure’ red blood. The pack of course saw Katia as a version of Hel because she had black blood. Artem of course did turn out to be like Baldr because everyone loved him so much and he was of course the biggest helper of the pack.
Now this of course brings me to kind of the point of this lore post. The pack over the years has met and been around so many different people who have become something of a staple in their pack and life currently. Either because of this prophecy that was handed down to many in the supernatural world seeing as the twins were a huge deal. Anyone who saw Katia after she was taken believed that for all purposes she was Hel because of how bad her back looked. Everyone knew Artem was probably Baldr based on the way he killed people and arranged them and now really nothing would pierce through him.
Velkan ( @nvrcmplt ) is a prime example. While the Twins and the pack both keep mostly to the Norse deities and how they worship them. They do in fact worship  Velkan as a god who brought Vavrinac into this world and every other wolf (PLEASE NOT THIS IS LORE THAT I AM BRINGING INTO THIS WORLD IT MAY NOT, OF COURSE, BE THE SAME FOR OTHERS PLEASE RESPECT YOUR OC MUNS AND THEIR LORE THANK YOU) For a while the twin’s called the wolf “The black wolf” as the one who changed them because realistically they thought that’s who was the first werewolf. UPON VELKAN ABSOLUTELY DEMOLISHING VAVRINAC by killing the bastard. And thus brought Valentín Roman and Katarína back into the world upon Vavrinac's death. The twins decided to of course honor the god that saved Katia. They offer him traditional blot i.e.: Cooked foods, animal sacrifices, and the more famous blood. Blood offerings are only ever done by Artem as his blood is pure unless Katia kills something then it is the animal blood she is offering. Katia’s blood is black and that is seen as a stain upon her. She of course uses magic so everyone sees red blood but her blood is not. Velkan’s temple is simply an open space in the middle of the woods far off so that of course no one can stumble upon it. It’s for the pack and only the pack.
Loni ( @shealfa) Is mainly the only ‘pack’ that the twins interact with simply because of connotations with Katia being Hel. This was mainly formed with Artem being a boss man and amazing as he is and then of course Loni and Katia becoming close. Loni and Katia knew each other, Loni being reincarnated several times over the course of the twin's lives. Every time they somehow find each other. Vav does not like to (before he dies) visit Loni because he simply doesn’t like her. Obviously, that is for a reason because she doesn’t give into his shit. We all love Loni here.
Obviously, there are many more muses that will be talked about that will constantly be brought up from other muses. All of them are super important to the pack and important to the lore. IE threads or asks depending. Most importantly Velkan because he is now seen as the protector deity of this back.

Iron Man 3
Tumblr media
Things are about to get interesting.
A friend and I happened to be talking Marvel movies not that long ago and she mentioned how many people didn't like this one but she loved it. I had vaguely remembered the complaints, mostly centered around The Mandarin.
So let's deal with that squarely first.
As mentioned in my first post, I did NOT grow up reading the comics or watching animated TV shows about Marvel characters. Before I happened to go to the Iron Man movie with friends, I wasn't even aware of the character. Many times this puts me at a disadvantage when discussing the MCU, as my observations may lack nuanced understanding or I may miss callbacks altogether. BUT there are rare cases where it is a benefit.
This is one of those cases.
IF you are able to let go of your previous knowledge of The Mandarin, I don't see how you can argue that what happens here is a brilliant twist. The idea that a jaded and scorned man who once championed science could, in this world that constantly rewarded Tony's frankly abominable behavior, become someone who answered money and power's call but knew well enough to hide his face while doing it? That's brilliant. Ben Kingsley's portrayal of both "The Mandarin" and Trevor Slatterly are incredible. The fear those videos create is palpable even when you are watching. All to reveal it's a masquerade, a charade.
That's some pretty epic deception and clever for someone who wants real power.
Guy Pearce also plays a character like Killian very well. At one moment, smooth and handsome, that slow and deliberate way of speaking, taking complete control of a room. There's a sense of a danger around him even then- something that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, something that just doesn't sit quite right- but you shake it off because, well, there's nothing sinister happening. Then later we see it, but even then he is almost always deliberate. The way he holds Pepper by her neck and just repeats "Pepper, Pepper" while shaking his head at such an unruly subject. His cold demeanor as he heats up Rhodey's suit. Even his fighting with Tony. The question I would have is whether that is all part of the regulating or just arrogance. If it's not the former, he was a fool.
Really random note from this one was the realization of how much gum chewing is linked with condescension in films. Killian's "lieutenant" for lack of a better term is constantly chewing gum and it makes it him look so much more of an ass. (In a good way- it's his character.) There's something about gum chewing on screen that says "You are not worth my proper diction."
My favorite thing about this movie will always be that it was the moment when I knew MCU wasn't going to "fridge" its women. We have a brief moment of fear that Pepper is dead, smartly done close enough to the end to be a real possibility. Then she not only reappears, but saves Tony's ass. She even makes a joke about "What, because I fell 200 feet?"
I want to take a second here because I'm sure someone, somewhere, is thinking "yeah they were too SCARED to kill a main character." To that I say, fuck off. There is PLENTY of death in this movie. The female scientist's (played wonderfully by Rebecca Hall) death is particularly harsh as she had tried to use her own suicide as a bargaining chip. The empty Iron Patriot suit kills many secret service people. Happy isn't killed but spends the bulk of the movie in hospital.
And regardless, in superhero films and comics and tv of the past, it was nearly always the girlfriend/wife who had to die. Not only is death NOT the only way to force growth upon our superhero, but also we certainly should be able to spread the death around. I, for one, was glad to see things were going to be different here.
Also, the Kid was great. I am curious if they may ever bring this character back in some way. There's definitely a possibility there.
Complaints? There was a bit too much forced humor here. This is definitely where we start to see lines played for comic relief that don't fit the tension of the scene. RDJ has a few, though I always give Iron Man a bit of a pass here as that is a very Tony trait. But Don Cheadle had a few as well, and while he delivers them well, they just don't jive with Colonel in crisis mode.
(Exceptions- the dude who ends up putting his gun down saying he hates working there, they're so fucking weird gets an A+ as does Pepper's line about how violent she just was.)
Also, it may be the current economic and environmental landscape, but the waste of blowing up all those iron man suits really bugged me. At least used the scrap for something my dude.
This one also might have been just a bit too long, but I struggle to pick any particular scene to cut.
Note for me:

Visions and Premonitions
Heylooo. Since I have the displeasure of encountering visions or premonitions, I decided to make a post about these experiences. This is mostly from my observations, but maybe you can take something from my garbled post. Feel free to add to it too!
So… here we go! Mario voice
What are Visions or Premonitions?
I'm sure you've heard of them like in your favorite movies since the topic tends to make a good horror story. Basically, it's when somebody allegedly has a prediction of the future– oftentimes in the form of an image or dream. Hearing a voice tell you "xyz is about to happen" or something of the sort is also a thing. Intuition is another good word for it.
The thing is, people are already naturally "intuitive". We call those, "gut feelings".
What are gut feelings?
You know what it is… that feeling in your gut. "I've got a bad feeling about this." Something feels "off" but you don't know what it is.
The cool thing about this is that your brain can subconsciously pick up things happening in your environment without you even knowing it. Animals have this too, just with far better sense. Git gud. /j
But then, what makes visions so scary? Well, it's when you have visions of scenes that are sudden, as in, nothing in your environment is even slightly hinting at the idea of [insert event here] (as well as near-death experiences, but that's another topic for another time). That's where the mysticism comes in and it's scenarios like these that I personally believe in or that I find harder to explain. Don't worry my fellow anxiety sufferers, I'll get to the dark shit in the moment.
I keep having dreams/feelings about [xyz event]! What's happening?
Before I get to the spooky-scary portion of premonitions, we have to first think very VERY rationally. Because 9/10… this alleged event may not even happen at all.
I mentioned "gut feelings", so it's important to look at your surroundings and see if this "surprise event" is truly a surprise– or that maybe it's an idea that's been hovering around in your head for a while. But there's more.
Anxiety: This goes hand-in-hand with gut feelings. In fact, you're anxiety is known to fuck up your gut feelings. Are you anxious about something? If so, that's gonna make shit 10 million times harder to differentiate between reality and dream, let me tell you. lol.
Psychosis and Paranoia: Anxiety can cause psychosis and your psychosis can come in the form of your anxieties. Generally, psychotic (and delusional) episodes are understood to be "nonsensical" or "beyond the realm of possibility". But you can have hallucinations or thoughts that might be a little bit too real. Another thing to get checked for, if possible.
Symbolism: They say dreams can have meanings. I don't always mean it in a spiritual sense though. It's believed that the reason why your brain dreams is that your brain is trying to sift through various memories, events, and even trying to solve problems ("sleep on it"). Regardless of your beliefs about dreaming, it's important to see if there's any underlying thought or recent event that your brain is trying to decipher or understand.
Self-fulfilling Prophecy or "You die as you live": To me, these aren't really visions but are just consequences of your actions. Biologically, people can know very well that they're going to die. If you are sick or do hard drugs, I think it only makes sense to feel like something terrible is about to happen. If you work a dangerous job or are a daredevil, this naturally increases the risk of a catastrophe to occur.
An example would be Paul Walker ("Fast and Furious" movies, RIP) who said that he would die in a car and he did. But that's also because the man loved cars so… depending on how much he spent his life behind the wheel or in a car, it would make sense for that unfortunate event to occur because of probability.
Granted, you still don't know if dangerous events are going to happen like 100% of the time. But I'm sure you'll agree that certain lifestyles can increase your risk of a certain end. That's how it goes for everyone.
At the same time, to help those who are one step closer to a panic attack, just because you think it doesn't mean it'll happen either. Anxiety is a killer though, be it mentally and/or physically. So please, reach out and get some help.
Well, I thought about it, but the visions persist. Whatever I'm seeing feels like it's going to happen. What do I do now?
Now the spooky-scary moment we've all been waiting for. Well, I bet you're hoping for some kind of cure or way to prevent this horrible vision from becoming true, huh?
I'm glad you're here then, because I'm happy to say: No, there's not a damn thing you can do about it.
insert applause here
Don't ask me what the point of having visions is. For myself, maybe it's to keep me moving forward. But what's set in stone is set in stone. Run away from it all you want, maybe even try trading places with that person in your vision. But we all know what's going to happen. Life finds a way, and so does death. This isn't "That's So Raven". /ref
Yet, I'm speaking in the darkest context. Death isn't always biological. Sometimes it's mental or spiritual. Sometimes it's a break-up or a job loss. For our ability to have straight-up horrific and vivid dreams of destruction and death, the dream might actually represent some other thing that won't send you to the grave at all. Hell, that dream of you crashing in a car accident? Turns out, your partner just wanted to marry you.
Regardless of the circumstances, it's very unlikely that you'll be able to prevent change, even if the change is negative.
So what can you do if you truly feel like something bad is about to happen?
- Ask yourself, "How do I feel about this?" Are you scared, happy, sad, or angry? Can you pin-point the exact cause of these images or feelings?
- Praying or asking for clarification might help, but I find that these methods don't do much. Probably because the god's or whatever you believe in have chosen this path for you so there's not much else you can do except hold on. You'll probably get an answer that you already know.
- You can try to protect yourself. Even within inevitability, there might be a silver lining. It's not good to not get caught up in the mess though. Do what you can, but remember, that's about all you can really do.
- And lastly, it is what it is. There's not much else to say quite honestly. Welcome to basic living... lol. I guess I would be remiss to ignore the stories of people jumping in and saving the day because of their intuitions. I feel like these stories are rarer than the premonitions themselves, though.
Luckily for most, situations like these are apparently rare– more so if in regards to actual catastrophic events or death. That's why we don't trust evangelicals when they "predict" the end times– nobody can, not even you or me. Not only did it say that in the bible, but that's the reality of things. Anybody who says that they can predict your future is a con and misinterprets what it means to actually have visions or an intuition.
Everything's got to give, but as far as the details are concerned, you'll never truly know what to expect. So be well and take good care of yourselves.
– Tune in next time for when I talk about those little funky scrunklys (ghosts and shadow people) living in your home! –

psa: where i’ve been.
ooc. hellooo. this is a long over due update on things going on. some of you probably noticed that i’m just simply not active right now. my queue is running out and my desire to write is simply not there. this isn’t a bad thing though!
i go through these periods of time where I want nothing to do with writing or my muses. I’m currently in one of those periods. I think for most people it’s a bad thing, but often times for me it’s actually a good thing.
writing is my coping mechanism when things become stressful. i disassociated from the major problems in my life with writing and have done so for as long as i can remember. in the last few months not only have i gotten more balanced on my ADHD medication, but disconnecting from writing and tumblr has had a fantastic affect on my mental health in other ways as well.
the bad. Over the last few months, while things have been incredibly stressful and hard, I can confidently say that I’ve handled things very well. For those who don’t know, exactly a week ago my family and I had to put down my childhood dog, Ginger. She was 13 and dying of a tumor on her spleen. She died with all 4 of us around her (a miracle considering my sister lives 2 hours away and just happened to be visiting for 2 days). She went peacefully and was very ready to go after a full life of being adored by us all. I’m handling it well, despite my sadness, knowing that death is just something that happens and happens a lot –– especially with animals.
the good. But in other news, my stress with Sassy has begun to plateau. Be it the medication or simply finding that I am enjoying being an owner of a Special Needs and incredibly brave and strong horse again is yet to be decided lol. Regardless, I feel a surge of desire to be with her as often as possible, even missing her just hours after having spent 2 hours at a time with her. Her weight is being better managed as we’ve found something that seems to be working with her weight that she can do long term WITHOUT affecting her symptoms of her severe Cushings disease. This is a huge win for us after a battle to keep her weight on for almost 3 years.
I’ve also found incredible value, pride, and happiness in my job over these last few months. I feel valued and appreciated and I’ve actually secured a permanent position with them –– something that is relatively impossible in my line of work. I work for a Tribunal who’s funding depends highly on the political party running it. Being on term/contract employment for the last 3 years has caused undue stress as every 6 months it was possible there would be no funding to keep me on –– no matter how much they wanted to. I am the first employee in the National Division I work for on Refugee affairs in about 5 years to be given a permanent position. What’s even better is that I’ve never enjoyed my job more than right now. I am the lead on a National Project which assists in providing Refugees Access to Justice. It’s a small step in the direction of assisting people –– something I’ve wanted to do since I was very little –– and it feels amazing to have this job and be referred to so glowingly by the people who’ve worked with me for 3 and a half years.
what happens now? well, simply put, I’m more connected to the world outside of my screen at the moment. This is something that happens rarely and when it does I try and spend as much time living this way as I possibly can. In other words, I’m officially on a bit of a hiatus until I find the desire and want to be writing and creating again. This isn’t a bad thing, this is a good thing and I really do not want people to fret about me.
where can you find me? discord is your best bet as that’s what i feel comfortable sharing to all my followers: ✧・゚brei.#8843
those I’m close with are welcome to have my instagram as well, though I don’t post much on it, I’m in DMs and doing things on there a bunch.
To those who I haven’t spoken to in a while who I normally do; apologies! I’m rooted in other things right now, but I love you and think about you often. while I may not be in the mood to talk about character, RP, or muse related things at the moment, I love talking to you all and would love if you would share about your life with me. I’ll try and do the same to my mutuals who are receptive to this, but i know many people would rather keep conversations to the creative and struggle to want to talk to people about their every day lives when for so much of us the creative is an escape from it.
I love you guys! and you certainly haven’t seen the last of me. i’ll return to this blog when the inspiration strikes me!

I have said this once before and i will say it again: i am a s i m p for this man (which is why the post is so long tbh)
c!Technoblade, General Relationhip Headcanons
c!Technoblade
While he comes off as emotionless, it’s only due to the fact that piglins only communicate through grunts, so the tonal shifts that come with human languages aren’t something he’s use to having to deal with (so he just ⋆doesn’t⋆ for the most part)
He’s not emotionless in the slightest, though, gets excited over new accomplishments and frustrated over failures, he loves his pets to death, and he cares deeply for Phil, Wilbur, Tommy, Ranboo, and Nikki, even if he doesn’t necessarily show it
As you two become close, you’re put on that short list of friends too
Just like with everyone else, he’s relentlessly loyal unafraid to defend you
He also offers to help with things now and then
Whether you have to get materials, brew potions, hunt for a specific animal you want, or even draft building plans, he asks if there’s anything he can do to better you with your task
After quite a while of getting to know you and being around you, he develops feelings for you
It would be really hard for anyone on the outside looking in to be able to tell that he has feelings, though
His personality doesn’t change or he doesn’t trip over himself or stumble over his words around you, so no one else can really tell (exept for maybe Phil)
You, however, you can definitely tell that somethings up with him
He accompanies you on more of those aforementioned material runs helping you gather what you need and even offering to help you get them and carry them back for you
He insists that he doesn’t want anything out of it, when, in reality, it’s your company that he’s after (he can’t just say that though)
During those runs, he’s also more protective of you, there will be a 6 foot radius around you at all times from mobs that he’s tasked himself with defending
It doesn’t matter how good at fighting you are or how much armor you’re wearing, he’s one of the best, so he’ll use that to defend someone he holds deeply to his heart
Because he’s not super great with verbalizing his feelings, he’d tell you about liking you by writing a letter
He delivers it to you by hand and slips it under your door
If you happened to be home when he got there (something he wasn’t expecting), he would hand it to you while telling you to not to open it until he’s gone
He’d probably disappears to the Nether for a bit for more ‘materials’ afterwords to internally recuperate
When you start actually dating, he becomes so soft around you
Your hand in his feels so sweet against his calloused skin and he melts at the way you look at him with so much love
Don’t even get me started on when you compliment him
Regardless if it’s about his intellect or physical appearance, he actually blushes, the soft pink settling across his face and the tips of his ears
Because he's not great at expressing affection himself, neither verbally or physically, he doesn’t stop with the acts of service or letters (side note: if he found out that you keep all of them, his heart would soar)
On calmer days likes just being in the same room as you
You two could be doing completely different things, barely paying attention to one another, but he’d still enjoy it because you were around, he finds comfort in your presence, after all
He’s very new to romantic gestures, but he likes when he gets to hold you or lay his head in your thighs, it’s just nice
he’s a bit stressed when it comes to kissing since he has small tusks that peak from his bottom lip, but if you’re careful, he won’t turn one down from you
When you’re outside of the house, affection makes him uncomfortable
You can hold onto his arm as you two walk (it’s easier than holding his hand due to the height difference), but, if someone’s within eye shot, nothing more than that, not even cheek kisses
On another note, he’s not use to people giving him things, so if you gift him anything, he cherishes it
Overall, he secretly loves the domesticity you bring into his life
The voices subside a bit and he feels at peace
It use to be so incredibly rare to have his mind to himself like that, but it becomes a far more common occurrence around you, and he thanks you for that

I’ve been seeing an uptick in “anti-RWDE” posts lately  — which is a phenomenon I’d like to comment on at a later date  — but for now one of them (quite unintentionally) made me realize something about the finale that I haven’t seen others discuss yet.
So RWBYJNOR saves everyone, right? Let’s just put aside the animation for a moment  — which didn’t show any army members making it out  — as well as the forgotten side characters  — Maria, Pietro, Qrow’s group isn’t forgotten, but still left behind  — and take things on good faith here. We’ll read the finale through the thematic intention: RWBYJNOR saved “everyone” in the Kingdom of Atlas in Volume 8, deliberately contrasting them with Ironwood who was willing to sacrifice a chunk of the Kingdom in Volume 7. Forget all the messiness and just accept that regardless of the consequences  — like a destroyed Kingdom and a “dead” team  — the heroes are heroic because they didn’t give into a “lesser evil” thinking and managed to save everyone.
Now, how was that possible?
Let’s go back to the beginning of the seventh episode of Volume 8, “War.” Salem’s grimm have just burrowed through Atlas’ defenses and taken them out. The shields are gone. She flies Monstra into the fields and releases an army of darkness that immediately heads for the city. What’s the very first thing Ironwood does?
Soldier: Yes, sir?
Ironwood: I am evacuating all citizens to the subway. Prepare Manta Squad Omega, and dispatch to every part of Atlas.
Soldier: But sir-
Ironwood: Now!
He evacuates the people, with “the people” meaning all the Atlesians and however many Mantle folk got to the city prior to Salem’s arrival. When this episode aired I mentioned being confused as to why the soldier was so hesitant. Why wouldn’t you want the people to get to safety when a grimm army is heading their way? Fans against Ironwood took the soldier’s side, claiming that Mountain Glenn proved that any underground evacuation is a death sentence and thus he obviously doesn’t really care about the peoples’ safety. Fans in support of/neutral towards Ironwood pointed out that this is a pretty big leap, no one is coming up with a better idea for what he should do instead, and that within these circumstances it reads like the soldiers is illogically against this idea simply because everyone is against Ironwood now. The show wants characters criticizing his decisions and making him out to look like a crazed dictator... even during moments when it doesn’t make any sense to be upset with him. Shooting the councilman yes, trying to keep the people safe no. Basically, this small exchange was a mess, but the rest of the volume proved that this was a sound call. The subway never collapsed and no grimm ever made it to that enclosed space to pick the civilians off like fish in an underground barrel.
So, why didn’t that happen? Well, one answer is because Oscar and Ozpin destroyed the whale. But how did they have time to do that? Without the people dying while they were being tortured, talking to Hazel, escaping with Emerald, fighting Salem, etc.? A lot happened between Salem starting her attack and Oscar ending it, so why wasn’t 2/3rds of the Kingdom’s population decimated during that time?
Because Ironwood sent his army out to keep the grimm occupied.
Outside of Ironwood’s cartoon villain actions  — random murders and bomb threats  — which get the most attention due to how deliberately, over-the-top horrific they are, these are the two actions that get the most negative attention from both the story and the fanbase. The soldier seems horrified by the order to evacuate. Marrow is devastated that young adults are fighting in this battle. The fandom is disgusted by both aspects of Ironwood’s character: giving orders that, as general, he expects to be obeyed and having an army that follows those orders. Putting side that cartoon villainy, this is what supposedly makes Ironwood the antagonist here. These are the qualities that have existed since Volume 2, resulting in a “he was always a bad guy” interpretation. These are the qualities that have resulted in anyone who likes his character being labeled as a “bootlicker.” We know these qualities make the fandom hate him because otherwise, more people would be confused as to why a presumably heroic character randomly shot Oscar. Orders, armies, and general military associations are at the heart of Ironwood’s presumed villainy.
So let’s remove them.
Ironwood has no evil army. Ironwood gives no evil orders. Power and control lies solely in the hands of our non-military heroes. Everything is better!
...well, no. Because we saw in Volume 8 precisely the choices our heroes made when the attack started: half of them focused on saving a single individual (Oscar) and the other half kept to the sidelines. At no point did our RWB group act after sending the message and prior to securing the Staff. AKA, during the attack of Salem’s army. We got a very explicit moment in which Ruby looked out the window at the battle going on and turned away from it, continuing to discuss ethics instead of joining the fight. The people of Atlas (which, again, includes many Mantle citizens) had no one but Ironwood and his army because a third of the group was trying to rescue Oscar (they never even had a plan to blow up Monstra — that was also Ironwood), a third of the group was up in Amity, and a third was sitting in the mansion. They did nothing to help the people of Atlas being attacked by grimm.
Thus, if you remove Ironwood’s actions, everything goes to hell. There is no longer an order to evacuate to the subway. Maybe some people go there anyway. Most probably don’t. They run in a panic wherever they can. Hide wherever they can. Go back home for some semblance of safety.
There’s no longer an army. Either it doesn’t exist because we’ve determined it’s simplistically bad despite RWBY’s grimm-specific context, or Ironwood likewise never gives the order to protect Atlas’ border. Salem’s army moves unimpeded through the city, killing countless people as it goes. How do we know? Because they’re civilians who can’t defend themselves and there’s literally no one else to help. Remember: Ironwood is not giving orders, there is no army, RWB is in the mansion, YJOR is in the whale, Penny is out of commission, the Happy Huntresses are in Mantle. Those in Atlas are entirely alone. In time, Oscar destroys the whale, but by then it’s too late. There’s no concrete way to theorize how many have died, but it’s inevitably a lot. Everyone else is scatted across the city, trying to survive.
So this scene
Tumblr media
no longer exists.
When the group gets the Staff and creates portals for “everyone” to escape through, Mantle is ready to go. They’ve gotten everyone into the crater and can funnel them straight to Vacuo. Atlas, however, is in chaos. When Jaune enters the subway there’s only a few people there, many of which may be wounded or dying. He’s right back where he started, in Mantle at the beginning of Volume 8: needing to go door-to-door to find where people have hidden themselves, trying to convince them all to follow him (remember Oscar commenting to Ozpin about how difficult that was?). Except now, he and Nora are the only ones trying to get people to safey, the city is filled with far more grimm, a significant amount of time has passed for people to be killed or injured (making evacuating them even harder, both due to injuries and an unwillingness to leave hurt/dead/missing loved ones behind), he’s trying to convince these panicking people to go through magic portals, not just walk to a crater, and he’s aware that there’s a very short time limit for this task.
Jaune returns in a panic of his own, explaining how difficult it will be to get that 2/3rds of the Kingdom to Vacuo. How many are already dead. Barricaded. Missing. Closeup on Ruby looking horrified, but then she rallies. They can do it. Atlas is falling, but residual dust gives them just enough time to find, calm, and evacuate those people. They’re heroes after all. Beating the odds is what they do.
Then Cinder attacks.
Suddenly, the group can’t evacuate people because they’re trying to keep themselves safe from her. Maybe Cinder gets the powers because Jaune was off looking for civilians, leaving Penny without a mercy kill. Maybe Nora dies because she’s still trying to help people on the city that plows into the one below. Regardless of how details might change, they’re not getting a spread out, decimated population through those portals before Cinder changes the wish and makes them disappear.
In this version, the story starts with Ironwood wanting to sacrifice 1/3rd of the population to save 2/3rds and the future of the war. It ends with 2/3rds of the population dying instead.
This is what I mean when I say the majority of the fandom wants to view a very complex situation through a ridiculously simple lens. The fandom wants to denounce every bit of RWBY’s fictionalized military, the context issues of that aside. The story wants to paint RWBYJNOR as the only heroes, in part because they succeeded in saving everyone (“everyone”) in the Kingdom when Ironwood gave up.
But they only managed to save everyone because of Ironwood. Because he kept fighting for his people to the bitter end. This is why, though his horrific actions obviously exist in the story, they make no sense (he’ll threaten to kill his people so he can... save his people?) and mess up what little is working in the finale. The story wants us to celebrate the group for evacuating Mantle and Atlas, but the Atlas evacuation would not have happened if not for Ironwood’s actions  — the actions that are ignored in favor of having Winter blame him for everything and then killing him off. The rescue of “everyone” was very much a joint effort. RWBYJNOR’s win is not actually a contrast to Ironwood’s intended sacrifice, for the simple reason that their win depended entirely on Ironwood’s actions.
If we’re going to celebrate the group getting everyone to safety, we should probably also celebrate the guy who got them all to an easy evacuation point and ensured they weren’t eaten before then. Does that mean Ironwood never did anything wrong? Of course not. As established, the story went out of its way to make him into a villain. Rather, it means that other parts of the story failed to maintain that black and white view, complicating the heroism of RWBYJNOR in the process. If we want Ironwood to be incapable of heroic action, always the bad guy, nothing good to say about him whatsoever... then we likewise need to accept that the group is rather unheroic in many regards too. That, on their own, they would have failed to save everyone, just as Ironwood’s plan failed to save everyone at the end of Volume 7. Because they chose their friend over a kingdom. Because they sat around in a mansion. Because by the time they took action again and tried to escape, without Ironwood’s help they would have lost a larger majority than they originally insisted be saved.

Hey, in that prehistory time travel thing you wrote about, when Bella gets a premonition/nightmare, do she and Caveman play very precarious charades or does she draw shitty, shitty cave art that Caveman perceives as dire prophecy? I mean, technically, it is. I also assume interaction with other vampiric cavemen is usually fraught with tension, but would they ever form a coven? Proto-Volturi/actual Volturi if Bella's power realises her food source's in danger and she rationalizes it for sympathy?
Anon is referring to this post. The TL;DR is that Bella becomes a prophet and ends up unintentionally married to a hot caveman vampire. She probably calls him Caveman.
How Bella Conveys Her Prophecies
Well, when she's human, she has her Voodoo Witchcraft Dreams where she speaks aloud. Sometimes, this is just nonsense, other times... it's not. So Caveman gets to witness Bella tossing and turning, muttering in tongues, and probably has an internal "Fuuuuuuuck" moment as he realizes that something may happen.
The other moments are when Bella just starts babbling to herself in gibberish, talking to "Hallucination Edward" as she tries to explain, a divine messenger who tells her important information sometimes. That's also weird.
I imagine as Bella becomes a vampire, she either gets waking premonitions in which she babbles in tongues for a minute or two while getting her information, or she has conversations with Hallucination Edward. It's a thing, Caveman just watches until it finishes.
Then, as you note, comes the charades.
Eventually, these two are going to learn how to communicate with one another. Either Bella will finally pick up the local tongue or the vampire will learn English. My money's on Caveman, I have no explanation in this, just that Bella mired in depression doesn't seem at the peak mental capacity to learn a language that has nothing in common with English.
Though even then there's a wide cultural disconnect between the pair of them and a lot of misconceptions.
Regardless, until that point, yes, we get shitty shitty shitty cave art. Because Bella is a terrible artist in my brain and I stand by that now. This is accompanied by interpretive dancing and poor acting via charades.
Caveman takes this all very seriously, as he should, because this is usually very important information. He just wishes for god's sake that the gods who speak through her were a little more intelligible. He gets it, they have to pass through mortal hands and tongues, but couldn't they try a little harder?!
They probably eventually work out a system where he gets pretty good at figuring out what's going on. People, when they run into them and those people aren't eaten, are amazed at his abilities and assume that he has some divine gift for interpreting the words of the gods. He believes he does too.
Bella thinks her pictures of horsies are great.
What About the Other Vampires?
Oh yeah, that's going to be a mess, and probably what most of Bella's visions are about: how to avoid conflict or else conquer their enemies.
Bella, with her insane gift, is a prize to be won and would be highly contested among the paltry vampire population that exists. She can protect them from other vampires, give them information on the best food sources, etc.
Caveman's going to have to constantly be protecting her (as is Bella, though all she knows is she keeps having weird visions about vampires and Edward is sitting there telling her about some new vampire out to get her every other day).
That said, by necessity, I imagine a coven is formed.
Probably only one or two more, given the precarious size of the population and how much they're going to need to travel to keep the human population sustainable, but more numbers means a better chance of surviving fights.
Caveman due to statistics, probably isn't gifted, and so I imagine Bella's gift could lead them to turning or else picking up a gifted vampire who complements what they already have. They need the offensive brawn of the group or a physical defensive measure like a Proto Renata.
Is This New Coven a Proto-Volturi?
... Shockingly, yes.
First, Bella unintentionally does what Aro does: she collects a core coven of very gifted members. There's herself, of course, and whatever other vampire they pick up to round out their numbers/supply a much needed military style gift.
And given how small the population of humans is, the harsh conditions they live in, I imagine that Bella realizes rather quickly that... they could wipe out the human race.
I imagine they pass through several villages which have been decimated by vampires. Either by immortal children, feasts, territorial conflicts, you name it. Now all those humans are dead, the survivors if there are any starve and freeze to death in the wilderness without society as a support.
This is... really bad.
Bella notes to Caveman that this can't keep going. First, Bella would rather not eat people period, but second if they keep eating like this then there aren't going to be people left. The reason they've been having all these territorial disputes is because vampires from god knows where have travelled into their territory to eat their people because they ate all of their own.
They're locusts!
Caveman admits that she... may have a very good point there.
I imagine Bella's tactics differ though.
The idea of keeping vampires a secret is a non-intuitive if brilliant solution. It's an easy way of tracking when you've gone too far: if the humans start noticing their numbers decreasing then you've eaten way too many people. I don't see it as something Bella would come up with.
I mean, god, imagine it. A group of Myceneans sitting around, in the age of gods when demons walk among us and devour who they will, and Aro says, "I'm going to save the world by making the gods disappear." It sounds insane, they're going to make everyone pretend demons don't exist? Why? And yet it works out such that the secret is something Bella takes for granted, something very natural to her.
This is not a plan that Bella would come up with.
In fact, now in the past in the age of gods and demons, I imagine she's not quite sure why vampires were ever kept secret from the human race. Feels weird, in retrospect.
I imagine what they do instead is protect their territory. They form a pact with the humans over a pretty wide swath of land: provide us a tithe and we will protect your people from the demons, and become a local pantheon. Any other vampires who come into the territory are killed, territory expands as Bella and company form alliances with other covens, and the human race...
Well, the sentence for petty theft is probably now death at the jaws of a vampire, and Bella probably tries and fails to get her coven on her nifty animal diet, but human clans aren't wiped out to a man anymore. Mankind survives and with the aid of a prophet vampire (who suddenly knows a weird amount about farming so as to keep the peasants from revolting) thrives with an industrial revolution.
It's weird times.

Tainted Apollo
Tumblr media
Pairing: Kars x Reader
Warnings: mentions of gore, death of minor characters, slight allusion to dubcon.
Words: 3056.
Summary: Finding a peculiar sculpture in the ruins of an ancient temple, you realize you have stumbled upon a god set in stone.
P.S. I forgot to post this one here haha
____________
"Good morning, Sire." You welcomed him as you stretched in your improvised bed, an old metal container of some kind with a pile of blankets on top of it.
Rubbing your sleepy eyes, you slowly put your feet on the floor and adjusted the hem of your nightgown so he wouldn't see too much of your flesh. Kars always found this habit of yours ridiculous. He had been a piece of stone for God knew how long, and even after you found him he'd been confined to bed for no less than a year, barely moving and unable to speak. Kars was sure you didn't even understand what he was, but you still cared about covering your body in front of him. What a pathetic habit, he thought.
When you found him in the sands, somewhere in what appeared to be a long abandoned temple that had been in ruins even before he reached the Earth, you first thought he was some kind of sculpture, adoring his unusual but captivating form. He hated you watching him with your eyes wide, even touching a lock of his petrified hair - you were just a mortal human woman, one of those he had been determined to wipe out, but you had the audacity to act like his sole purpose was to lay in the sand for your entertainment. If he could move, he would definitely end your pathetic like there and then. But Kars couldn't.
It must have been ages, if not a millennium, since he had been banished from Earth. Drifting through darkness, his body had turned to stone, his limbs losing their ability to move - regardless of him finally becoming an ultimate form of life, it brought him nothing but eternal suffering and oblivion. Kars had stopped functioning like a living being almost completely. Almost. If he hadn't been returned back to Earth by some accident, he would continue his meaningless journey to the stars till the end of times because the darkness enveloping him had no limits. It felt like being thrown into a cold throat of some gigantic monstrous creature, but instead of reaching its stomach and finally dying he had been forced to circulate somewhere in between, neither dead nor alive. If silly humans thought the Hell was real, it had to be it.
He couldn't remember what force sent him back to Earth as he could think of no one doing it intentionally, but it didn't matter as long as he could reach Earth. Regardless of what would happen after, Kars knew he would survive and regain his power, finally giving humanity what it deserved for what they had done to him.
Funny, but when his mind had awoken from hibernation, Kars realized there was no one to take revenge on. Humanity had successfully wiped itself out.
Even after year and a half that passed, he still saw just you, a girl who had brought his petrified form to her home to take care of him knowing he was alive - by the time you met him Kars was able to open his eyes. Oh, he remembered well how horrified you were, stumbling upon an immensely beautiful statue that turned out to be a stone god, he heard you saying that for a few times. That day you ran away with such an expression Kars didn't expect you to ever come back, although you showed up a couple of days after, trying to talk to him in that odd new human language he had never heard before. As he kept silent, unable to even move his lips and make a sound, you realized the god you stared upon had been trapped in stone, and you could do nothing to free him. You went away, but came back with an odd machine that reminded him of Stroheim, and Kars thought of melting your bones when you dared to use to transport him. However, he had to admit how further did human technology evolved when even a small and timidly-looking machine like yours could lift and transport him to your home, a place inside another machine that had been definitely used for military purposes before being abandoned. It looked incredibly pathetic, as if you were a little rat that had to live in a pile of garbage out of pure need.
The world he once knew and wished to conquer had disappeared. All he saw while being driven away by your small machine had been a never-ending desert and ruins of other machines: he learnt lately those were enormous satellites, star ships, and other rusting remnants of an epoch that had been long gone. Watching gigantic sand stingrays crossing the desert as if it were a sea made him realize how far humans had gone - they had created monsters that were never meant to exist in the first place.
Of course, they paid for it. Judging from the stories you told him and what he observed himself, humanity had faced almost complete annihilation even without intervention of their outer space enemies, if there were any. The atomic war destroyed nearly everything humans had been creating since the beginning of their era. It affected even the natural course of life of every living being on Earth, forcing them to change and finally become a horrifying, mutilated, monstrous life form of something they had been once. Even the Moon had been gone, it's ugly half-destroyed form shining in the night sky and making it even more revolting. You had said something about unsuccessful colonization and the war over moon territories while Kars had to force himself to look down on the sand that was at least familiar to him.
Disgusting. He still had hard time believing how far humans had gone, destroying everything that existed long before they started ruling the planet. What would Jojo say now if he saw what a nightmare the world had become? Wasn't it better to let Kars wipe out the humanity before this had happened?
He had been fighting the urge to break your spine or melt your insides at least for a couple of months, blaming you for the crimes of your ancestors despite you obviously being too young to commit any of the atrocities that had happened. How come a human being had the audacity to survive in this post-Apocalyptic world while other life forms had mutated into monsters? When you were wiping any impurities off his cold stony skin, he was dreaming of the time when his body would come out of this odd hibernation period he couldn't control and then murder you in some rather painful way, prolonging your death till you felt all kinds of despair a human like you could. As he struggled to move even his fingers, he had finally decided not to harm an only being capable of taking care of him.
Each day you brought him to sunlight so he could observe what was outside of your pathetic shelter while you worked to grow anything in this lifeless place, several times a week departing to some place to fill the ugly rusted water tank, then watering your plants in a some kind of a nicely equipped greenhouse - funny, now you used it to protect the plants from the intense heat rather than trap it inside. Fruits and vegetables were what your diet was based on, including some synthetic supplements Kars refused to consume, disgusted by something made purely by humankind. Sometimes you would bring him fried meat, and while the thought of eating a mutilated animal had been revolting to him, Kars knew you could offer him nothing else. Even the meat you brought you offered only to him, rarely taking a piece for yourself: now it must have been a great privilege to consume meat. Besides, it truly sustained him better than fruits or vegetables, and he was dependent on what you were feeding him, slowly getting his strength back. After a year and a half he was now able to move his lips and fingertips, making you nearly ecstatic: it seemed you were doing everything right.
What did you think he was? A deity? A monster? A machine? Probably an immortal being who had existed long before the annihilation, that's what you said: you were talking to him from time to time either to pay your respects, tell him more about your world you thought he knew nothing about or voice what you were going to do right the next moment. One day as you brought several rectangular plates made with what looked like a blue metal to him, you read Kars about ancient Greek gods, wondering if he had been one of them - you saw him melting food with his skin, and for you it was the inherent symbol of his divinity. Kars had to give you some credit: you weren't as stupid he first thought you were. You weren't worshipping him as much as he deserved, but you probably did the best you could do, just a little desert rat having nothing but her plants and a decaying metal house.
"I won't come back till the sunset." You said once you finished washing your face and brushing your hair, tucking them under a faded scarf out of some light fabric and then reaching out to grab your mask. "I'll try being quick, Sire, but it's important I visit that place. If I'm lucky, I might bring something very useful to you."
Useful to him, huh? He would appreciate if you stopped humoring yourself: there was nothing useful you could bring him aside from a dozen people to devour. While he knew there were some people left on Earth still, he also knew you wouldn't master the strength to capture, less sacrifice them to him. Besides, Kars was still deciding whether it was worth devouring those creatures. While it certainly would make him return his powers faster, he could wait a couple of centuries - Kars doubted remaining humans could do something worse to Earth than what had already been done.
You didn't return after the sunset that day. It was the first time you hadn't keep your promise to him, and it made ill-tempered Kars bitter: oh, he would remember it and make sure you remembered it, too. He spent the night thinking what he was going to do to you, albeit not getting too violent in his thoughts. Something probably happened on your way, and you had to stop and spend the night in the desert before coming back.
The next day you didn't return either. He waited for you till the sunset but heard nothing but the sound of sand stingrays travelling to the other part of the desert. The complete silence troubled Kars more than he was able to admit: you had been somewhere around most of the time, taking to him or making some other irritating noise. While he found you just one more annoying creature inferior to him, your absence had a strange effect on Kars - it felt like something was crawling beneath his stony skin, making it harder to keep calm despite the fact the man had always been patient, unaffected by something so unworthy of his attention. However, your absence was a clear sign that something had happened, and it somehow bothered him.
Were you attacked by the monstrous creatures roaming the earth? Humans? Some other force he knew nothing about? Surely, it had something to do with the thing you attempted to bring, but you were vague about its nature, and Kars doubted it was really something decent. How come you had the audacity to risk your life when you were his one and only follower, sustaining and taking care of him while he was still in hibernation? Were you so unbearably stupid you decided you could leave him alone for long? Who had given you the right to bother Kars with your absence? It was inexcusable. The only reason why he didn't punish you was his petrified body, but he wouldn't stay in such state forever.
The lack of your presence was becoming more and more disturbing, and Kars questioned himself why did it matter. He had never needed someone's company - even though he had respect for both Esidisi and Wamuu, their closeness to him wasn't something essential. Not that your presence was either... and yet he found himself constantly thinking about the reasons why you were late. Although it irritated him, Kars decided that time he spent into space had its effects on his mind.
When you returned at last, the sun had already disappeared over the horizon. You were bleeding - he saw crimson stains on your face and your left arm, your faded scarf absent when you stormed inside your house, a small metal container in your hand as you flew to your stone god. Something had gone terribly wrong.
"I'm sorry, Apollo." You were running out of breath, but Kars heard you calling him by a Greek god's name. Was it the god of light? Your choice was rather peculiar. You were probably calling him like this in your mind since you brought those books home, but was afraid to voice your thoughts to him. "I wasn't as prepared I thought I was. The guards are still there even after all these years."
Leaving the container on the floor close to him, you took your bag and started your things there, searching for food and flasks. Somebody had been following you to your hideout.
"This is all I could find." You whispered, opening the container and taking out a small glass vial with a bright red liquid inside. "I can't tell how it will affect you, but I believe it would be of use to you, Apollo. Please, consume it."
You had carefully lifted the vial as if it were going to explode and then put it on his chest, awaiting for Kars to melt it onto his body. He had been suspicious about this, for some reason unable to detect what the liquid was as the vial seemed to block it, he consumed it, nonetheless - there was a chance it could speed up the end of his hibernation.
And it did. He felt the familiar heat, albeit Kars had never thought the stone could be turned into liquid, and yet it was it, something he had been chasing for so long once before becoming who Kars was now. How come it had been somewhere here all along? Was it fate to land here where it had all ended for him once? Kars had no answers. Not that it mattered now as his petrified body was rapidly recovering, his limbs finally able to move, his dark locks softening, the paralysis shattering while he stood up, showing you his perfect form in all its glory as you stared at him, either afraid or unable to move. He was the God you were waiting for, his large wings turning into flesh hands, a halo of light surrounding his perfectly proportioned, sculptured body and making you lose your eyesight for a couple of seconds. It happened so suddenly you were trembling on your knees in front of him, forgetting about those who had trailed you and the danger they could bring to your God and you, both fear and admiration engraved into your stare. Kars was much more than you had pictured him to be, undoubtedly.
As much as he enjoyed that look on your face, devouring your fragile figure with his eyes, he could feel his enemies breathing down his neck. Of course, all of them were unworthy of seeing his true power, but even someone as miserable as them would do for a quick warm up after centuries of hibernation: once several disgustingly looking men with scars and mutilated limbs showed up in your hideout, all of them Ripple users just like Jojo had been, Kars let out a laugh, watching them demanding both him and you to surrender. Worthless little creatures, they thought they could give orders to him, the most perfect form of life on Earth. He had slashed all of them the next moment, pools of their blood dirtying the floor and spreading further to metal walls: apparently, despite them still being able to use Ripple, their power had deteriorated greatly to the point they only posed a threat to a fellow human being, someone as frail and delicate as you.
Turning to face you still on your knees, he saw your wide eyes, tears streaming down your cheeks while you covered your mouth with your hands: was your God more terrifying than you had imagined him to be? Did you think he would forgive those who made a mistake of challenging him, the most powerful being the Earth had ever hold? Silly little girl, there were so many things you had to learn about him, the God you were destined to worship and love with your whole being.
"Stand up, woman." He said, watching you tremble and trying to wipe away your tears, not knowing what you had to say to the God you finally saw in all his glory. "I demand you to leave with me before the sun rises. Gather whatever belongings you need for a long journey, we will depart soon."
You bowed to him deeply, afraid to open your mouth and say something your God would consider inappropriate, and hurried to take your bag, quickly putting everything you considered important in it while Kars stepped closer to the pathetic beings, consuming what was left of them and feeling the power coursing through his body, filling him with warmth he had craved for so long. That little vial you brought was truly worthy of him, and Kars felt satisfied it was you who found him in the sands in the middle of nowhere. He would take you with him while he would try to resurrect the Earth as he remembered it, bringing the balance to it and watching it flourish once again.
"Apollo, I have taken everything." You whispered to him timidly, forgetting you were using that fictional name you gave him.
Kars chuckled, marching through your hideout flooded with blood of his enemies. If you needed to compare him to some stupid Greek god so desperately, you should have chosen Hades.

*~Hello, Rabbit~*~Yandere Mirio X Tamaki.~*~Part 1~*
Note: Hello, hello it’s Sunday and time for my post, this week was a little hectic for me so there will be another post on Monday because yet again I got carried away with how long the story is, so first part no smut, second part more than likely smut, but in the mean time feel free to enjoy the story~
This is a yandere naga god Mirio Togata X Elven priest Tamaki Amajiki and a request by my bestie~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Warning: Mentions of death, Yandere behavior, and almost dead inside Tamaki ahead my dudes, so proceed with caution.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tamaki lays here in the forest shrine cave on some warm and comfortable animal pelts, those pelts lay on top of some heavy foliage and luscious plant life he’s curling up tightly in that spot. Tamaki is laying there almost lifeless in this place he’s been confined to for quite a long time now.  The sun is peeking into the cave from the opening above and shining down on him keeping him very warm. The sun feels nice despite how depressed he’s feeling currently numb and lifeless, lacking in much hope or happiness. Tamaki isn’t too far into the cave shrine’s depths, he’s laying not so far from the entrance of the cave waiting for the snake god who he now resides with to return. The cave shine in this forest is very deep and like a maze, with so many entrances and traps within. Tamaki didn’t use to get trusted to remain in this part of the cave while Mirio was away, but ever since Mirio realized that Tamaki wasn’t going to run he always wants him to wait for his return here. Mirio will leave Tamaki in this lovely little area to get the sun he needs to stay healthy, and the plus side for him is Tamaki will be there to greet him right away when he comes through the entrance. Not to mention The area has berries nearby and a small pond in the cave so if Tamaki ever is hungry or thirsty while Mirio is away he can partake in those little luxuries. Mirio thinks this is the best place for Tamaki to rest while he’s away and he only wants the best for his rabbit or that is what Tamaki will constantly hear from Mirio when he explains why he is there and Tamaki’s been here for quite some time now.  It seems that he’ll never know another home again besides this shrine. Tamaki will never know the comfort of his old village or the pleasure of being with others of his kind. No, Not after everything that has happened and is currently happening, all he’ll get to know is Mirio now. Tamaki will only ever get to have the company of the snake god, he’s not allowed to see anyone else. Though Tamaki so badly misses his village and those who he knew from it, Tamaki never had many connections there but even so, there are a few that he is missing now. Tamaki’s family and one or two other Elven friends from the village, even with how shy he is, there were a few people who had always been nice to him, a few people he desperately wanted to see again. Tamaki wonders how they are doing back home, wonders if they even miss him or if they are happy he is gone since the village is safer with him not being there. Tears well up in his dull eyes for a moment as he thinks back to how things used to be. Even with the luxuries of this shine, even with the affection and protection from the God that lives here, even with the solitude, he thought he had wanted he feels so alone, scared, and desperately misses his life back home. Sill finds it hard to believe that his fellow villagers sacrificed him to Mirio, then again he can guess it isn’t that surprising either, it is his fault. Tamaki invited the newly formed Snake god into his company a long time ago when he was a mere child, and it’s too late to turn back now.
Tamaki shivers but it’s not because he is cold, with the sun he, of course, is very warm but in thinking of the past, he is remembering a few rather unpleasant things from it which in turn makes him shiver in slight fear and repulsion. Really Tamaki never fathomed the thought that his affections for the naga Mirio would lead to something like this. From the very start, Mirio had seemed so innocent. For a great amount of time, there were no problems with Mirio and nothing terrible happened, nothing seemed like it would happen either. However that all changed quite a number of months ago, or had it been a year now? He can’t remember as he mostly hasn’t had much sense of time being he for long portions of his time here had been stuck in the darkness of the deeper parts of the cave, that is until just recently. But regardless here he is now living away from his village never to see his loved ones again, he is here stuck with the powerful naga god that is Mirio. Honestly, How could he have known that things would lead to him here kidnapped and being forced to live with Mirio as his lover. Though can you really call it a kidnapping with how things transpired? The fact of the matter is he was given to Mirio in hopes no more destruction would come to the village in which he resided. Tamaki was a sacrificial lamb to the god in question. A mere Elven priest who would save the lives of the many by simply appealing to the naga god who had caused quite the uproar over something so simple.
Nonetheless Even with all the terrible things Mirio has done and might even continue to do Tamaki does still find he has a care for Mirio but his feelings are confusing and quite a mess, they are always fluctuating back and forth. One day he’s terrified and wishes he never met Mirio and other days he is in love with him and happy to have at least one person who will keep him by their side. Mirio will never betray him, not like his fellow villagers, that left him to possibly die with Mirio. Did he always feel that way? Tamaki can swear there had been a time where he thought that the villagers had no other choice and understood why they did this. However, with all of Mirio’s talk about how vile those he used to live with are, well it really starts to mess with his way of thinking, it’s hard to keep focused when Mirio is smothering him with affection and those sweet words of praise, those words that leave him to believe that Mirio is the only one who will ever love him truly. With all that talk lines and thoughts begin to blur, Tamaki doesn’t remember the last time things actually have made sense to him or were all too clear for him either. All Tamaki really knows is currently he’s been here for too long in a constant battle with his emotions.
Tamaki’s days now are spent merely laying here seemingly completely dead inside, he doesn’t talk, he doesn’t move, he barely reacts to anything. Sometimes it’s better not to react to Mirio, it can lead to things he doesn’t like, then again laying here like a lifeless doll does seem to have its negative effects too. It’s a game of roulette when it comes to Mirio and how he will react on a day-to-day basis. Tamaki though, for this long time has been trying his best to keep Mirio content and happy for his old village, the village he had to leave behind because of the naga he used to call a friend. Tamaki’s and Mirio’s friendship started so innocently, Tamaki was only about five years old when Mirio found him. Back then he didn’t know he was a new god, and of course, he didn’t know the damage Mirio could cause. It hadn’t been till many years into his relationship with Mirio that Tamaki would come to find just how sinister the naga actually can be. Tamaki realized not but perhaps a year ago that Mirio is in fact an obsessive murdering monster. Though sometimes it is hard to see him for just what he is. Sometimes Tamaki felt harsh for calling him a monster, sometimes he will wonder if he is just misunderstood, another conflict in his head.
Back before he’d even met Mirio others in his village told him from the start that there are monsters and horrifying creatures in the forest and almost all of them were not to be trusted. He was always advised not to play or linger too long in the forest. That was how his village saw things, only wander into the forest when necessary and be careful when you do. Children really weren’t supposed to play in there, however Tamaki as a child had been allowed into the forest but only when the village would perform their rituals to appease the gods, they would have festivals in the forest on occasion, even with the danger the village was very respectful of the gods and even the creatures in the wild there. Tamaki supposes why back then with the way of thinking he was less warry of the warnings those from the village had given him. Besides the forest had always been the place he called home when he needed a place to escape, which happened to happen quite a lot when growing up. He just wanted to relax and get away from everyone sometimes and the forest was the place he went to. Being his family ran the shrine and live close to the forest made things easier.
Tamaki can remember clearly when he met Mirio in the forest, back then he couldn’t have pictured him being evil, he was so sweet. From the very start Mirio has always been so sweet to him, so understanding, even now he can be. Even Now Mirio makes his heart flutter when he knows that he should hate the naga after everything he’s done. Tamaki just can’t bring himself to hate Mirio, not fully anyway. Tamaki Loves Mirio, yet Tamaki is scared of Mirio, and wishes he never met Mirio, then at the same time he can never hope to live without him now. They are stuck together, he is here so Mirio is kept under watch, so Mirio doesn’t hurt anyone else.
Continuing on his thinking back before he wound up here as the others in the village would when little Tamaki’s parents would always tell him not to wander into the forest alone, well at least his father would. Tamaki’s mother would encourage Tamaki to enjoy the splendors of the forest. While his father would tell him not to consort with the monsters that call the wilds their home, his mother would tell him the opposite. Tamaki’s mother would tell him the forest and it’s creatures were magical and wondrous not to be feared. Tamaki’s mother was the priests of the forest Shrine before his father came into the picture and before his father would also spend nearly all her time in the forest. With his mother’s words and his own desires he could never bring himself to stay away from the forest. Tamaki never had been the most social and honestly he still wasn’t, but back then he really needed to get away from the pressures and the kids who bullied him for not moving forward fast enough with his Elven magics. Out of all the other kids in his village, Tamaki struggled so hard to not only to socialize but to hone his magical skill. It was tough for him, So every evening just before the sunset he would run to the forest where it was quiet and tranquil, he was so young so naïve, and never realized he was watched every time until he came face to face with that boy.
“Hello Rabbit~”
Those were the first words Mirio would bestow upon him, and back then it had startled him. Tamaki had been so damn scared he was shaking but when turning to meet the gaze of the other his fear had wavered, a bright and overly warming smile on a boy who seemed to be his age who he didn’t recognize, he would blink curiously at the boy who had stood in the bushes and among the heavy brush, well back then he thought he was stood, his tail was covered by the bushes and brush so he had originally thought he was a normal Elven boy like himself.
“W-Who A-ar-”
Tamaki would stutter out but not get to finish his sentence for the other was answering him right away before he could get the full question out of his mouth, Tamaki felt like a mess before the new face he was never good at meeting new people, and alone no less, he much preferred when he had friends or his family with him when meeting new people.
“A friend. My name is Mirio. What’s yours?”
Tamaki of course still hadn’t been at ease even after he had heard what the boy said and most of that hand been the fact that he really wasn’t good at talking to people, he would shuffle in place and hide behind his hair his hands clutched at the hem of the bottom of his shirt, he pulled it slightly down. Tamaki would kick at the dirt before replying.
“T-Tamaki…”
Tamaki only managed to get his name out from his mouth, but even then him giving Mirio his name only earned a smile from Mirio and a loud laugh. That had been their first meeting when he was only five and from there he would come to find out that Mirio wasn’t just another Elf as he had assumed at first but a naga. Tamaki only realized that after Mirio would come out from the bushes to hug him. He had wrapped around Tamaki and coiled around his lower half. Mirio has always had problem respecting boundaries, even still he does. Regardless of all that their first meeting would start their friendship even if Tamaki had found it terrifying back then. Over time Tamaki came to no longer fear Mirio with prolonged exposure. Mirio quickly became Tamaki’s first friend and they even grew up together, they did almost everything together when in the forest. Mirio was his open ear and comfort from those who live in his village. Even if Tamaki had originally went to the forest to escape and be alone, over time he wouldn’t mind sharing that time with Mirio.
For many years things went smoothly between the two, things were normal, they were nothing but happy awkward unexpected friends. Tamaki, Mirio’s little rabbit. Things change though, things had changed after the villagers and his family found out that Tamaki made friends with Mirio. When the villagers had found out they were all very warry for Tamaki at this point had come into his magic and was much better with it, Tamaki was also now the aspiring priest to care for the shrine in the forest and be the mediator between the gods and their village like his mother had been for so many years. They didn’t want to lose Tamaki for they saw him as an important part of their village. At this time the villagers had no idea that Mirio was the new god of the shrine taking over for the old one, they thought he was just a random naga. For who would have suspected that the new god would already show himself to the aspiring priest he was. The village would vote to keep Tamaki under constant watch and to not let him leave the village and go into the forest, even with Tamaki’s slight protest they wouldn’t listen to him. His mother would be the only one to speak up for him however even though she was the current holy priestess they would still be uncertain, she did have quite the sway with the villagers however so did his father and he was highly against it which lead to the decision staying in place and Tamaki would be kept from wandering in and even too close to the forest. It was almost like being under house arrest. It only took two short weeks for people to start going missing after that, anyone who would wander into the forest after that two weeks usually wouldn’t return. The village had gone into a panic and fear over those incidents, people were prohibited from leaving the village for a while but that would take a toll on everything for you needed to leave the village and enter the forest for certain things. Not to mention the crops would start to suffer along with beasts of the forest starting to invade the village from time to time, people would continue to die.
It wouldn’t be until a full two months after that Tamaki’s own mother would go missing, she wouldn’t be missing for a whole day but she was nowhere to be found for hours, it wasn’t until later someone would mention that it had been coming around the time the priestess would need to go clean the shrine, they hope she hadn’t left to do so with the danger. Tamaki’s father was worried so he led a team into the forest to find her. When they returned only half of them were left and his father walked forward weekly carrying his mother’s body into the village. Her body was covered in snake bites and scratches, her clothes tattered and torn. Clearly, she didn’t move nor did she seem to breathe, Tamaki remembers that he broke free of the other villagers to run to his father who had a bite in his shoulder. He sweated profusely and his breath was haggard. Tamaki cried so hard that day, his father would collapse and Tamaki would try to heal him with his own magic but he would still die. Though the others would inform the rest of the village what happened and the worst part was it had all been Mirio’s doing, it was that day they discovered he was in fact the new god. Mirio made his demands of the village clear, he wanted Tamaki to be his and live with him in the shrine in the forest. He would demand once they gave him over they would leave them alone but still make offerings to the shrine, and only if these demands were met would the killings stop and everything would go back to normal. Though at this point Tamaki didn’t want to go back, he didn’t want to go to Mirio who had killed his parents and fellow villagers even if he was upset over him. Even with Tamaki not wanting to go back the Village almost unanimously decided to hand Tamaki over, he was the priest of the shrine now with his parents gone. His friends had protested, and certain others but it didn’t matter enough of them wanted to do what needed to be done and Tamaki was sent into the forest to be with Mirio.
“Hello rabbit, I’m home Tama-chan~ Did you miss me~?”
Tamaki’s Flashbacks to the past break off with Mirio’s entrance That chirp leads to the slithering and Mirio coming back to the cave, he is here to once more curl around him and talk about his day. Mirio is here to cuddle up with him and tell him of all the things he is missing out on while being in this cave but Tamaki really didn’t want to hear about any of it. Mirio can talk about the birds, the bees, and the flowers filling to the brim with pollen and nectar but Tamaki a long time ago gave up on wanting anything to do with anything. Honestly, right now all he wants is to lay there and try to forget about his own existence. Mirio ever since coming into possession of him has been trying to get that life back in his eyes but nothing seems to be changing the dull lifeless look in them. Tamaki Though will wonder what Mirio will come to tell him to try and get him to perk up this time, he can only imagine.

White Mice
Mitsuhide x MC Fluff
Written for: Dice be Nice Event Request: Anonymous Roll: Mitsuhide + Gods AU + Reoccurring Nightmares
Aaah, I could afford to rest a little today, so I wrote this as a bedtime story for myself. Goodnight!  But, before I go... I can’t believe, 18/19 event stories were posted already :o When did this happen :o
Content Warnings: none
Where was he? Why was he? Was there anybody else? He didn’t know, for he couldn’t have. His wanderings stretched, seemingly never ending, leading him nowhere past the desert of the inner space, time betraying him at each step. For years, Mitsuhide was in a state doubtful of even deserving the name of being. He was nothing. He was everything. He was everywhere, yet also couldn’t find himself. Eventually, his senses grew sharper, his eyes could see further, deeper – and, perhaps, it was then that he was in fact made himself, white little mouses beginning to appear everywhere.
To each their own, for all possess their domain – if they were brought to be long enough ago, that is. Some ancient, some recent, all gods could be divided, be it by their speciality or the realm of interest, the older beings having taken custody of all things most human. Love was the first to be assigned, only anger daring to attempt to dethrone it – and then there was hope, lust, curiosity, there was greed and generosity, feelings big and small alike. Noble, tainted, whichever it was, the gods were born to keep them under their patronage… Or perhaps they bore themselves out of the emotion, created and propelled by human belief alone. As for which truly was it, Mitsuhide never got to find out just regardless, the day he came into existence being rather uneventful to say the least. Bearing no recollection of who he was – whether he even was – before, he just strolled aimlessly, no guide nor tutor appearing in his path to lead him anywhere.
At first, Mitsuhide was confused – what were the animals? Where were they going to, what were their paths? Curious and baffled, he traced their every step, a barely visible feeling of phantom paws leading him in places he never dared to reach by himself. He squinted, the space vibrating – he wanted to know more, to understand… Fearing his mind may be too little to properly comprehend them, he moved his hand. The first one, the second one, both of his feet, he even shook his head, bringing physicality into his realm. Mitsuhide turned himself tangible, eventually even donning a face, all for the sake of getting to the bottom of the mystery that filled the emptiness he felt for years.
The mice grew their trails, settling in places past his domain – and perhaps it could be said they prompted him to hatch, for that was what he did, breaking free of the prison that held him captive and entering into the wide world, one he still had to learn of. Much to his surprise, however, the little white creatures appeared not to obey by the standards binding their earthly cousins, instead speeding over the night sky and sneaking into human houses, one by one. Baffled, Mitsuhide caught a pair by their tails once, as to examine what could possibly his friend be feeding on – and thus, the god-protector, the god of nightmares, was announced.
Millennia passed, his grasp on the reality growing firmer, earning him the title of mind-reader among his kind. Feared and loved, Mitsuhide taught himself to weave dreams into threads, each night directing an army of rodents to aid those in need of urgent rest – and each day he made sure to line horrors with silver, to turn storms into the calm. He was the patron saint of the troubled, and yet… And yet, some things, even he could not reclaim.
Mitsuhide knew this woman for quite some time, his mice visiting her bedroom every day, seemingly to no avail. At first sure of his ability, he doubled the amount of his servants attending to her, fully convinced it would lead her dreams towards more pleasant ends… Albeit it never happened, not then, not in the following months, not when the rodents tripled and quadrupled, not even when he focused on her alone. Appearing to be the only such case in the entire world, Mitsuhide stepped off of his throne hidden in clouds. Donned in the white robes, he rode between the stars, the black velvet of the sky sighing quietly under the paws of his mice, the creatures then pulling his caravan. Wind swept his hair back, although gently, seemingly shied by the sun residing in his eyes – and there he was already, sitting at the very edge of her bed, a needle and a thread in his hands, slender fingers unravelling a string of silver from the spool sitting in his lap.
“Who are you?” Mitsuhide did not understand, his arms freezing. He gazed down at her face, the woman still being asleep. He touched her dreams again. “Who are you? Yes, yes, you, with the threa –” her voice was cut short by something, her mind rewiring itself.
He was the patron of the troubled – and she must have been one in need of his guidance, his mice being unable to put her nightmares to rest. As such, be it out of the sense of obligation or curiosity, his duty expanded once more, this time encompassing tending to her specifically. Her voice never quieting, they eventually began to converse, eating away at the tedious hours Mitsuhide spent on mending the holes littering the sleep she had. Hours grew to days, days turned into weeks – months, years… The nightmares ceased, yet he could not convince himself to stop his care.
That day it was her who waited for him, white underslip over her form. Her elbows propped against the railing of the balcony, she leaned onto her arms, inviting him to come closer with the nod of her head. “Have you ever stopped and just watched?” she hummed quietly, his shoulder brushing against hers. “There is little curiosity to darkness.” “Nonsense,” she laughed, her hand pointing somewhere into the night. Mitsuhide squinted his eyes. “The light is always present. Always.” Mitsuhide raised his eyebrows, a single sparkly spot emerging between the bushes, followed by another one and plenty more. Seemingly taken aback, he forgot of everything for a second, his world seemingly beginning at the feeling of her warmth to his left and ending at the plethora of miniscule bugs. A giggle left his lungs. “I think I have already found my light,” he noted, straightening his back. Slim fingers hooking below her chin, Mitsuhide guided her to look at him, golden eyes staring into hers with the intensity of the sun… And so, she hid her gaze, her lids closing as she stood on the very tips of her toes, her lips brushing against his in a faint kiss. “You silly, silly thing,” she sighed and returned to her place, shaking her head in mild disbelief.
Silence fell thick between them, her shoulders tensing up. Seemingly pressed to speak of the unspoken, of things eating at the border of her consciousness, she clenched her jaw, her tongue tying into a knot and refusing to let a single word out. Surprised, she looked up, Mitsuhide reaching to hold her hand. “I cannot understand, for I was not born like you…” he started hesitantly. “And yet… If I were to ask the god of death of it… Would you, one day, consider –” “Yes. The answer is ‘yes’,” she promised, her fingers curling around his.

Oh My Gosh!!!! I was just thinking about Party Crasher and man I hate how they had Ladybug get captured for the men to save! It's a continuous thing you see in media: strong heroic woman gets put in peril so that the men can shine. I didn't even realize it until you said it! I get that it was probably meant to be a "role reversal" of Chat always getting kidnapped or brainwashed for Ladybug to save, but the fact that this is the "guys' episode" it read like "well damn, we can't have the guys be strong if a girl is in the way; let's have the girl get captured so the boys can prove their worth by rescuing her!".
At least in Sandboy, Ladybug was still competent and came up with the plans, but this?! It makes me sick, and it's all too easy to fall into these traps; even Kim Possible did it! In my magical girl story, the heroine does get put in a magical coma and require someone to bail her out, but it's her female friends AND her boyfriend who save her, so it's not just a girl being weakened so a boy can be powerful, especially since said boy actually does a minority of the work required to save her; the focus is on the female characters so it's her girl friends who do most of it. I still ended up scrapping that side plot anyway, and do you know why? Because regardless of who saved her, I still didn't want my female protagonist to be put in distress at all due to the unfortunate implications! Needing help in a fight? Sure. But outright being captured or kidnapped? Nah fam.
I was honestly thinking about that when the first episode came out. Like, they could’ve just had Marinette NOT SHOW UP in time so the guys take care of things, which at least gives more of a message that Paris wouldn’t go to hell just because Ladybug is a little late or something.
And yeah, the “boys squad episode so gotta toss the girl out” is... sigh.

I think the writers were trying to show Chat angsting to show his regret instead of an actual apology. Still doesn't explain why Aeon didn't bring up her death afterwards. Did Olympia delete that from her memory banks?
I guess? :|
I don’t know why Chat can’t just apologize without fishing or trying to earn sympathy. Like JUST SAY YOU’RE SORRY, DAMMIT.

If you haven't read Maribat, then you won't regret it. I am not in the DC universe but I started reading it and WOW. Literally every single time Marinette is a badass queen and gets her complete revenge and is actually happy! Even if you absolutely love Lukanette (which I have nothing against) you should totally try it.
Appreciate the comment, but I find it hard to ship other Marinette ships outside of Lukanette. Ivanette is a very loose exception and it’s not like I ship it hard or anything.

Despite not being a Lukanette shipper I love you. Why? Because you amazing, so right in literally everything and I love you <33

The NY Special made it so that Max is literally the only Black/Brown kid that doesn’t exist to make Love Square happen and that just makes me hate it even more.
I wish you didn’t make me have this realization because I hate it.
At least Delmar existed in the New York special???? I guess???? I dunno, I’m trying here, I don’t recall him doing anything love square centric.

I honestly don't mind Alix's outfit as Bunnix! I feel like it fits her, plus she's an adult so its not much of a problem, not saying it can't be improved however. I DO have issues with the designs for the underage girls outfits however....those are very sus
Yeah, the problem I take with Bunnyx’s is that it’s a bodysuit. If there was just more definition, like having actual boots, I wouldn’t complain as much.

I actually just really like the idea of the new bee being a genuinely nice person who becomes friends with Marinette. Not exactly close friends (since I like the idea of friendly working relationships without actual personal stakes in them). I also enjoy the idea of the new bee having some small animosity for Chat Noir- just because their personalities aren't the greatest mix. I also think that it would make sense for the miraculous of subjection to be at odds with the miraculous of destruction
Full agreement but we know how much the writers are resistant to have characters go against Chat.

Not gonna lie the scene where the girl squad gets akumatized almost makes it seem like they got akumatized on purpose, similar to Manon in Puppeteer 2(although she was a little kid who was probably just imagining she could enact revenge). And why can't they have a uniformed design, like they're a team but wear different colors, similar to the Sailor Senshi(like, Alya's the leader and wears orange, Rose wears pink, Alix wears green, Juleka wears purple, and Mylene wears yellow). It's so boring.
Mood.
Not to mention that WE ARE SO TIRED OF THEM GETTING AKUMATIZED INTO THE SAME AKUMA.
AT LEAST PALETTE SWAP THEM.

Relating to the Didn't Need Burrows and Treatment of Marinette bingo cards, have you considered making one for whenever the show fails at girl power? It could say things like "sexualized frames of teenage girls" "boy tells girl what to do" "girls don't get to keep Miraculouses", and "girls are forced to apologize whenever a situation goes wrong". And in the center, it could say "Don't show this to your daughter!"! Lol! What do you think?
lol I feel like I have enough cards, otherwise I would.

I saw another post that talked about Miraculous New York, and they theorized that it was rewritten to focus more on Marinette and Adrien in order to get viewers invested in the Love Square again after more people started to lose faith in the ship. Do you think that's a possibility?
I think so. The whole special comes off as trying to reassure love square shippers because of how hard it goes for him. I cut out Marinette’s crushing and it cuts like 18% from the episode, meaning it’s even worse than Season 3 (15%).

Maybe the point of the [break-up episodes] is meant to discourage people from shipping Lukanette and Adrigami too?
Spoiler alert: didn’t work.

Ml fandom: I hate how Ladybug keeps secrets from Chat Noir! He sacrifices himself for her all the time and she never appreciates him for it! He has EVERY right to get mad at her!!
ML Fandom when Chat Noir does the same thing in the special: ....Wow Ladybug was way to harsh on Chat Noir!! She doesn’t appreciate him at all!! Shes so mean to him!

i hate it

Idk if it's just me, but a majority of the fandom is split in two; it's never one or the other "MARINETTE SUCKS AND IS A HORRIBLE PERSON GUARDIAN MARY SUE WHO SEXUALLY HARRASSES" or "ADRIEN SUCKS HE WAS NEVER ON MARINETTES SIDE" but im personally on the latter, but not to that extreme. i hate videos bashing marinette and then never acknowledge adriens faults
Yeah, the fandom gets more divided as time goes on because of the writers trying to increase the drama/tension.
Anonymous said:
I am PERSONALLY offended they gave Luka the snake miraculous. Snakes have such a negative connotation. A lot of people insult Lila by calling her a SNAKE. And now those ML writers DARE insult the best character in ML?! HOW DARE THEY!?????
I adore Viperion but I agree that I first heard he was getting snake and was like, “BUT MY BOI???”
It gets awkward too because other animals like the pig have negative connotations, like how Daizzi basically means “idiot/stupid” and they’re giving it to the freaking blond character, really???
Anonymous said:
I think that Ivanette would be even better if Marinette was plus-sized character.
I see why you’d think that. I just disagree because then it turns the ship into “let’s pair the heavyset characters together because they heavyset.”
Anonymous asked:
On the topic of romance failures and general series salt, my main issue right now is how the series puts so much focus on romantic relationships while failing to consider other levels of relationship or what they affect.
On the L² front I can completely buy Marinette being in love with Adrien. Most of the time she genuinely wants him to be happy and is ready to take a step back for him, however much it hurts. But in terms of romantic love? It. Is. A. Crush! But if we step back from the formula, what is there left between them? Their civilian relationship is held together by a “comedy” of errors and without that there is surprisingly little left. Well, besides two “best friends” desperately trying to make it happen because somehow they lost their individual characters and instead of being friends became matchmakers?
I too like Luka and Marinette together. Their relationship is pretty nice to see and all. But sometimes it feels like it happens in a dimension of its own, like the writers want to make the endgame clear in that the “sideships” can be easily cut out of the big “how they got together”-recaps. I especially miss reactions from and interactions with Juleka. She is Luka’s sister, Marinette’s friend, and IIRC someone aware of if not even a bit player in the great shipping game. She is in a prime position to step up and bring progress on all fronts: She can talk with Luka. She can either give Marinette helpful pointers or go “All in or nothing”, i.e. trying to make Marinette get her Adrien-feelings in order as she does not want her brother to get less than Marinette’s full heart. Similarly, she can counteract “friendly acts” and stop humiliating situations from escalating, or she herself can escalate them in the “All or Nothing”-scenario. Yet she remains basically a background character who gets little attention from the camera and almost no “non-focus identity”
As for Kagami, I may be too biased. *Any* positive Kagami/Marinette relationship is to me what Lukanette is to you. So naturally I have lots of opinions when it comes to her role ;) But can I just say that Adrien/Kagami is the weirdest ship for me? They have a few cute scenes and I think if they’d spend a lot more time together, they’d do each other good but I don’t know how they work. “No Hesitation” Kagami would lob Adrien’s head straight off with all his…everything. If we are meant to take Adrien’s love for LB seriously (and I guess we have to because how in the name of sanity is any form of the stated endgame gonna work otherwise???), how does Kagami fit into that picture as a girl who can hardly express emotions while Adrien is the definition of a  guy who can not stop flirting or goes for all kinds of romantic gestures? Sometimes it feels more like a “social fit” and “Mommy/Daddy approves” kind of deal which is quite the shame! Normally I like these kind of relationships in fictions but they need a solid underlining or good development. One they haven’t and one the series has not been giving to anyone so far.
Yeah, the whole thing with the love square versus side ships ends up feeling extremely forced. Keeping Luka away and forcing Adrien into Lukanette episode are the biggest giveaways, basically a big fat sign that says, “We know Marinette would forget that Adrien exists if she hung around Luka for more than five minutes.”
AND YEAH, KAGAMI WOULDN’T PUT UP WITH ADRIEN’S GARBAGE. I liked Adrimi but it’s definitely more flawed than Lukanette.
Anonymous said:
Watched your opinion on the New York special and I agree with you. It was mediocre at best. It could have been something nice, like if they added Kagami and Luka, for example, so that we can get a bit of development from the new couples on season 4, so that it doesn’t feel rushed when they start dating on season 4. It could also be a good opportunity to see the other temporary heroes one last time, since Marinette technically has the miracle box.
They could have had an epic fight with the American Superheroes, maybe even giving the bee miraculous temporally to Aeon or Jess so that we didn’t need to see their awful and uncreative superheroes designs. It would have been nice if they made something more useful other than being characters that believe that Adrien and Marinette are “Meant to be”, like, we already got a ton of these already, couldn’t we get someone who didn’t feel something about this ship? It has so much wasted potential that I don’t even know how to start. Do you agree with anything I said?
I agree, yes. They could’ve easily thrown Luka/Kagami into the mix (or had Marinette/Adrien stay behind while flipping perspectives or something; flawed but they could make it work).

I saw the Backwarder post you just talked about and yes, it is so totally ridiculous. They forgot another thing, though. Miraculous isn't just about comedy, action, and romance, it's about embarrassing Marinette. And the fact that almost everyone in the comments was acting like the medicine scene at the end was funny was just stupid and saddening to hear or read about, because it shows how people have been conditioned to hate and rally against Marinette without even realizing it. Granted, there was one lady who said it reminded her of her husband, so I guess that's okay(but all it means is that Adrien will be Marinette's--aka "his lady's"--husband like eeerrrgh!). And there was one person who said they liked that Juleka's advice because "If you're friend isn't willing to commit crimes for your happiness, is she even your friend?". But everyone else liked the ending. And I don't get the person who said we got "Subtle progression with Adrien and Marinette". We're right where we started.
Weeeeell, I understand the “comedy, action, romance” comment because all of those basically boil down to embarrassing Marinette or invalidating her. Comedy and romance goes without saying while action involves her dealing with Chat “Nice Guy” Noir.

Is it just me, or does Snow White's "Red Shoes" form look a lot like Marinette. I know, I know, Marinette is Chinese and Red Shoes is Korean, but they still look strikingly similar. They're bodies are really similar, too, but that might just be because animation tends to use eerily similar body types for its female characters on a whole. It's sad and it makes me think of how cute Marinette would be if she was fat. I also think Snow White was cuter than Red Shoes but that's kind of the point.
I think it’s the body type thing but that’s just a guess since I didn’t immediately make the connection.
I agree that Snow White is cuter.

Am I the only one who's never liked "destined to fail" characters? Basically this is when characters aren't allowed to be good at/succeed at something or else the whole universe will somehow fall apart. Think of how in The Amazing World of Gumball, if Richard gets a job, the world will be in complete and utter chaos. So he's better off as a lazy, bumbling dad. In Phineas and Ferb, Candace is always trying to rat out her younger brothers but if she gives up or succeeds something bad will happen.
TV Tropes put it the best: "Not only is she not allowed to succeed, but she's also not allowed to stop trying!"(conveniently under the Cosmic Plaything trope). I just don't like it because it shows that the writers just want to lead them on with the promise of success then snatch it away at the last minute. And now we're back at Miraculous Ladybug, where Marinette is humiliated every time she doesn't sign a gift that's for Adrien, and yet when she does, everyone in Paris DIES. Except for...HIM.
you: *mentions Candace*
me: [a million awful flashbacks]
Also, yeah, it’s so hard to watch, especially in “Chat Blanc” because it’s like, “Oh, you want to give a gift to a boy and you dArEd to use your powers for it? Congrats, but everyone else is DEAD and you can hang out with him as much as you want! You’re welcome!”

That’s be real here. Miraculous ladybug is not a show about Marinette; Miraculous Ladybug is a show about Adrien. Adrien is the real main character.
Notice that when they focused on Adrien in “Lies,” they only cut back to Marinette (IN A SCENE THAT CAN’T EXIST) to have her fawn over him.
Anonymous said:
Is it just me or are Lady Noire's eyes huge? Maybe it's just the green but they seem way bigger than Marinette's
I’m not sure, but considering Rena’s facial structure being different from Alya’s, it wouldn’t surprise me.
asexual-individual said:
With what you've said about Adrien lacking a reason to exist outside of development for Marinette and Gabriel, I have to wonder how different the show would be if Chat Noir's identity was also kept from the audience. Adrien would still be there as himself, but he only gets as much focus as Alya, and Chat Noir's identity is treated as a mystery (a Tuxedo Mask type mystery, but a mystery all the same).
I see what you mean but it might cause Adrien+Chat’s screentime to feel excessive once the reveal happens, because suddenly their screentime gets combined and it’s like, “oh wow so the combined screentime is his then.”
Anonymous said:
I know that the kwami's really only exist so we can hear our protagonists' thoughts outloud (like what the Coraline movie did with adding Wybie to the story). But honestly, what's the point in having magical gods in the jewelry if you're not going to do anything with them?
Marketing with “cute” side characters.

It's funny, originally, I had shipped Marichat in the sense that Chat and Mari start hanging out and both fall in love with the other's supposedly less perfect, more real selves. Then Luka was introduced and I ended up putting both lukanette and marichat at the same level. Then S3 hit and killed any love I had for Marichat. The writers themselves killed the Love Square for me. At this point, it's very clear they are living in a delusion where the Love Square could ever work narratively without Deus ex Machina or Deus Lo Vult (God wills it). Basically, they've gone past scraping the bottom of the writing skills barrel and are now shoulder deep in the hole they dug thru the bottom of said barrel. I'd like to point out that the bottom of the barrel is writing poop and now they're digging thru the useless plastic landfill the barrel was sitting on top of
Uggggh, yeah. Any appreciation I could’ve had for Marichat died in “Weredad.” I already didn’t like Adrien/Chat and then “Weredad” just showed his complete lack of... well, ANYTHING.

Honestly feels like MLBs writers are going based off the "JUST IMAGINE EVERY POC CHARACTER YOU'RE WRITING AS WHITE" instead of, yknow, fleshing them out while developing them also in the context of their cultures and giving them these little things that the audiences who belong to the same minority can identify with. I don't mean "have Marinette walk in qipao 24/7" bcs thats just... bad on its own but man, /some/ casual acknowledgments of her culture would be nice.
Reading the sentence “JUST IMAGINE EVERY POC CHARACTER YOU'RE WRITING AS WHITE” physically hurts me.

Ok, I've always thought that Chloe was robbed of redemption (they held it in front of us, but then jerked it away while Astruc says, "She's irredeemable! We thought she was redeemable, but she wasn't :)!" What are your thoughts! Also, I just recently found your blog and I really like it :)
Thank you!
But I have no sympathy for bully characters, so I didn’t want Chloe redeemed. Maybe I’m still bitter about my own bullying experience, but I just wasn’t here for Marinette being forced to forgive Chloe, which is basically what they did until they backpedaled.
The time spent on her was wasted though and that I can agree on.

I'm semi-catching up on miraculous, and- is it my impression, or does Kagami rebel against her mother more in few episodes she's in (even though her mother's influences on her seem to be stronger in general), than Adrien in the entire show? I /know/ that I don't want to see Adrien free himself from his father w/ the desperation I want to see Kagami free herself from her mother and realize that the standards she's held up to are unhealthy and too strong.
Yeah, I’m way more invested in Kagami than Adrien.

Very minor bit of salt to throw to the pile, but can this show just decide on how strong Miraculous holders are? Yes it's a cartoon and not the focus but in the Furious Fu episode we literally get Ladybug dodging lighting and then Su who seems mostly human and is at least slower then Fu was outspeeding her. It's distracting trying to figure out what is and isn't a serious threat in this show.
The deciding factor in the strength of the miraculous holders is “whatever works for the plot.”

At this point the only thing I'm excited for concerning Miraculous Ladybug is when it gets a reboot in like, a decade with actually competent writers
Best case scenario is that Zag goes bankrupt and Disney/Netflix picks up the series and gives it to competent people.
Problem is that the love square has been ruined so badly for me that even a “good” version of it wouldn’t be something I’d be into, but still.

Honestly, the problem with having all of Marinette's mistakes result in huge disasters (ex. Feast), is that is gives off the impression that teenagers aren't allowed to make mistakes. This show clearly doesn't like giving second chances to the protagonist, so why would life give one to you? Am I right, kids?
Exactly.
Marinette makes mistakes and suddenly the world is ending.

YES. Like, show us characters’ perspectives and why they’re rolling with the facts that they’re rolling with, otherwise they just end up looking like jerks.

Okay one thing that bothers me is how plain marinette's suits are despite being a DESIGNER. Her multimouse suit it just blocks of color and her ladynoir suit is just grey with green lines. I think the lines are supposed to represent actually clothes. Like the limes on the calves are supposed to make it look like boots but why not actually GIVE her boots. (Right, because she has to have a skintight suit unlike the boys who get some layers.)
THE SHEER DISRESPECT OF HAVING THE FASHION DESIGNER WEAR SUCH A PLAIN SUIT.
It also goes to show who really designs here, like oh, interesting, the girls get skin-tight simplistic bodysuits and the boys gets all the cool stuff--

Watching S1 and S3 episodes back to back, it feels like reading salt fics at times, especially in regards to the L². Nowadays it just makes her sad, Alya and the girls act *against* her, and we get shipping for shipping's sake.
That’s a good point. The shift from Seasons 1 to 2 to 3 is rather noticeable.

Honestly, the way the show treats teenage girls is horse ass. The show treats the teenage girls of this show as if they're stupid, naive, emotional, clumsy, and need a boy to tell them what opinions to have. Marinette is always treated like the show's punching bag and blamed for everything that goes wrong because she's "emotional" or "obsessed with Adrien", Chloe could've been redeemed but the writers would rather keep her a brain-dead Alpha Bitch Valley Girl(even though Gabriel and Felix, the latter of whom is a teenage boy introduced in one episode, get to be treated as redeemable, despite the things they do being far, far worse), and Lila is a conniving, self-absorbed fox.
And even though Kagami seems better, she's still roped into the "girls catfight over an oblivious guy" cliche and so far, all of her akumatizations have been because of Adrien. Whenever Marinette tries to move on from Adrien the other characters tell her what's good for her and steer her in the "right" direction because she apparently can't think for herself, and the writers LOVE to use the girl squad to tell us who Marinette should be with, because they apparently know better than she does.
Plus the show loves to treat all the girls as the same, making them all either fight over Adrien or be obsessed with shipping, as if teenage girls are all one assimilating, homogenized group(also when they treat Marinette as if she's "just as bad as Chloe", rinse and repeat for the other ladies.). Honestly, the show feels like it was written by those types of people who think "teenage girls are the worst" so they make them all mood-swingy, obsessive, showoffs, emotional, and downright clingy.
Plus the way Thomas Astruc talks about the female characters on Twitter is even worse, and only serves to make this more evident: he claims Marinette "has poor control over her emotions"(all the while calling Adrien "perfect"), that Chloe was racist in Kung Food "because she's stupid"(so rather than having that scene serve as a lesson on respecting other's cultures, he just did it to pick on Chloe and make her look "stupid"), that she's incapable of being redeemed, that Lila's unlikable but Gabriel and Felix aren't(even though he claimed Felix was a terrible character and a "cliche", that's not what the show says my guy), and other such nonsense.
Other Twitter users have also called out Miraculous Ladybug and its stereotypical treatment of teenage girls. The only shows I've ever seen do this worse are those pretentious "darker" Magical Girl "deconstructions" aimed at grown men such as Madoka Magica and Yuki Yuna, as well as most shonen/seinen shows such as Naruto and Death Note, which says a lot. Honestly, whenever I feel like watching a show with empowering and respectful depictions of teenage girls that treats them as bright and intelligent and actually unique from one another, I just watch Equestria Girls, Liv and Maddie, LoliRock, ANT Farm, Moesha, PreCure, or Sailor Moon. Because the way the show acts towards them is deplorable, absolutely deplorable.
Yes to all of the above. Almost all of the girls are involved in love affairs in some way, the two teenage girls are irredeemable while Felix got a sympathetic backstory right away (Chloe took forever to get hers which is a failure), and Marinette is flawed because she’s “too emotional” (a misogynistic stereotype).

Hi, I'm the anon who got upset at the lady who made the "Miraculous Ladybug is a Mess" rant, and yes, thank you zodiacspirit17 for liking and agreeing with my rant! I'm glad someone else saw that video! And ugh, Marinette learning to love Chat Noir? Really? I don't remember that line but I also don't want to go back and revisit it to make sure so I'll take your word for it. Ew. That was actually one of the things I hated about the Glaciator scene. Chat was supposedly comforting Marinette by taking her to the rooftop where he planned Ladybug's date, and yet only Marinette finds out about Chat's crush on Ladybug and comforts him on that(while rethinking her feelings), while all Chat knows is that Marinette's heart was also broken. He never asks who it is, or tries to help her get over her crush even if he doesn't know it's coincidentally him.
I know it's because of the "love square" but it's unfair that only Chat's love problems are directly addressed. Come to think of it, the reason Chat took Marinette to the rooftop...I know he was doing it in-universe to help her instead of intruding on her personal feelings(which might have also been why he didn't ask her who her crush was, he was probably thinking along the lines of "we don't have to talk about it right now, we can just have fun!"), but meta-wise, since we know she's Ladybug, the writers were probably trying to tell her "See? This is what you could've been doing, but you missed it. Shame on you!" That's a huge issue I have with the show: characters will do things in-universe to help Marinette, but the show has a different motive in mind. Compare to how Tikki gave actual advice to Marinette in Puppeteer 2, but the writers intended that for the statue scene so they could embarrass her in front of Adrien and the thousands of eyes watching the show(except we're not laughing.). Even if characters do support her, the writer is using them as props for her ritualized humiliation. And yet Luka is the problem somehow.
If Marinette needs to learn how to love Chat Noir, then it should at least be balanced out by Adrien learning to Marinette. I'm sick of this double standard that "girls need to learn to accept boys who like them but guys can do what they want". Another thing she said was that "Marinette needs to learn to define herself outside of who she's crushing on." NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. You see, unlike Adrien, Marinette HAS a life outside of who she's crushing on: she has school, she has Kitty Section, she has her "girl squad", she has her parents, she has her outside family, she babysits Alya's and Nino's siblings, and she has OH YEAH HER FASHION DESIGNING! I didn't even count being a superhero since Adrien does that, too. She has so many things to do outside of Adrien, and yet the fact that she makes gifts for Adrien or dreams about Adrien or wants to have kids with Adrien somehow makes her nothing but an "Adrien fangirl"?
First of all, she's the bloody protagonist?! That's such a "Real Women Don't Wear Dresses" argument, that she can't have her own life AND be in love at the same time! And somehow her crushing on Luka also means her life revolves around him, too! But Adrien's life doesn't revolve around Ladybug even though he doesn't really have anything going for him in his ordinary life? Outside of being rich, hot, white, and male, that is? What are his interests and hobbies, besides what Gabriel lets him do to pass the time? He doesn't even like modeling! And the Agreste plot is more about Gabriel, Emilie, and Nathalie than it is about him.
And what about his friendship with Nino? He didn't even care that Nino was getting strung along by Lila with the others! What about his friendship with Chloe that also waxes and wanes? Granted, Chloe's not a GOOD person, which that lady acknowledged, but she at least tried to change and has more development than him, the writers just won't let her change. I hate when people come for Marinette for doing literally anything when the show won't let her have agency and progress. It's so unfair of her and I wish they could see that. These double standards are driving me insane and they're sexist(maybe even a little bit racist, too), and it hurts even more when a woman's doing those things.
(I had to cut off some of this ask because I didn’t get all of it, so I cut it off at the point where it still seemed like a full ask.)
I FEEL THE “GLACIATOR” THING SO BAD. It hurts even worse when you realize that “Frozer” has to take place after “Glaciator,” so Chat Noir heard that Marinette has love problems and then ignored it to ask her for advice about his own love problems later on. The total lack of insensitivity???
Also, the idea that Marinette’s life would revolve around her crush on Luka is stupid. It’s the exact opposite, in fact.
Meanwhile, Adrien has so little going for him and the “interesting” parts of him involve who he’s connected to or what his father has forced him into.
