I'll keep going back to that one scene going through the Moment of Clarity. Yk where Nightmare takes off her mask and not only reveals the horrors of Quiet, but also the Narrator's.
I think Narrator is honestly overshadowed much even though he's quite a key player to the story. He can be an annoyance even in a meta sense where players have to skim through his repetitive dialogue to continue to the game. But that's what solidifies his character, his predictable lines of “If the princess lives here, slaying her would probably do her a favor” or even the very first line of the game represents a fragment of stasis. His ultimate goal; a world devoid of change, more specifically death.
So when confronted to both when Nightmare takes off her mask AND H.A.E cycle. It breaks him; In the Nightmare scene, he describes the painful cycle of life and how intense change is suffering. But at H.A.E, it's quite the opposite, instead of fearing of what comes next; he grows tired of the same thing over and over again. Even if that same thing is a good thing: Delicious foods, and unlimited game night. Realizing that, favoring one side of a coin won't do him any good. Uncertainty is no better than Predictability. A life full of change with no break is as worthless as a life you fully know the outcome of.
(It's sad that only ‘one’ Narrator will come to realize this, and its at the most ‘surface’ level chapter too /Damsel/ where he finally embraces change, even calling the interior of the cabin nice and even disregarding his “Slaying her would probably do her a favor” speech; a meme that can hurt so bad ouch, still it's an eye-opener for him)
Thank you for listening to my ted talk 𓅆

Dark Magic, a Brief Dissection
There are four scenes in the series I think best embody the pitfalls of dark magic from an ideological standpoint, even if you don't touch on the fact it's just a malevolent magic system + the harm it does to the user. Two are in season two, and two are in season six.
The first is the infamous reservation from Sarai in 2x05 that dark magic is too ideologically easy, because it is always easier to dehumanize and to strip away the fact that someone or something might be a person than it is to recognize it. The "you keep calling it a monster" and "there's no shortcut" are things that other episodes echo as well (6x05, 1x02), highlighting key take aways. The biggest one, though, is the idea that
Tumblr media
We see this directly happen with Viren even before the events of 2x05, as we see him go from necessary horror to necessary horror in order to save Soren. He coins Kpp'Ar to get the staff, yes, but also to preserve his status; doing so alters his appearance both literally and emotionally in the eyes of his wife; when she's frightened and denies him her tears, he takes them by force; and then when she leaves, he blames the son he saved. He thought dark magic would give more than it would take, and when confronted with the opposite that Harrow had also learned ("We may not pay now but we will pay the bloodprice eventually"), he couldn't handle its lesson of accountability, because it's usually easier to blame others rather than yourself.
Tumblr media
Viren fell down that slope in quick succession, climbed the mountainous Storm Spire twice, and it took falling off that mountain for him to get his head back on straight, to realize that rather than having no choice, he was continually making bad, harmful choices. This likewise ties back into 1) using his wife as spell parts leading to the dissolution of their marriage, because being treated as a thing is not something you can come back from and 2) rejecting using Soren as spell parts, and instead using himself in S6. And also ties into what S6 makes plain for Claudia in terms of the mindset that dark magic encourages:
Tumblr media
I don't know if there's much to say about this aspect that the screencap (and earlier paragraphs) don't already say on its own tbh. Dark magic "shattered" her family forever (6x06) and Claudia refuses to "let anything break" them apart further (3x09). She treats dark magic as a glue to hold things or people together, but in doing so treats everything around her as parts, including herself (her blood, hair, leg, and even her body taking on more animalistic forms through spell consumption). And that leads you to breaking things, including yourself, your relationships, even without necessarily realizing it. (Doesn't mean that it can't be put back together in some true form, though.)
But if dark magic is so bad, then why do it? I think Callum's arc answers this perfectly in terms of what it offers and why people (at their best and operating best they can under terrible circumstances) take it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dark magic offers unlimited power with the promise of control and desire, but this agency is an illusion. It took time for Callum to learn the truth and other characters (Viren, Claudia) didn't/don't know how tangibly true it is, but dark magic robs you of your agency by making you vulnerable to Aaravos. The Startouch elf didn't have to possess Claudia to make her do what he wanted, and doing so might've thrown a wrench in needing her to perform the quasar diamond spell with love if she wasn't on board with him as is. Viren, despite having no knowledge that Aaravos can possess him, is terrified of being used again (6x05) and mandates that saying no to Aaravos and dark magic is "the path of freedom" (as opposed to fate).
Callum of course gets this promise of power ripped out entirely from under him even after he rejects it (2x08) as he learns the full extent it lets Aaravos control him (4x04), and continues to engage with dark magic under duress even past that point (5x08). It's one of the ways arc 2 and him as a character recognizes false binaries and reconciles dualities: the choice isn't between "powerless human" or "powerful dark mage," but that you can become a powerless human by being a dark mage.
At the same time, 6x08 finally makes it truly, clearly explicit that dark magic can be used morally under extreme circumstances and through self-sacrificial methods (particularly for a character with a very complicated relationship towards sacrifice). This is doubly so considering that it required using the Staff of Ziard, which others have thought was extremely dangerous (Ibis, Kpp'Ar) and worth sacrificing for (Ibis killing Claudia, Kpp'Ar being willing to let Soren die), and it was still seen as the right thing to do, not only for Viren. Whether we'll see another instance of dark magic use in this way is unknown, but I could see perhaps Callum being allowed to have it in his back pocket (light and dark inside him and all that, and idk if they'd clean slate him again) as continued proof. If anyone can navigate the pitfalls appropriately (and same with primal magic), I think he's in the best position to do so.

What would your direction be for The Collector? I find the show did a very hard retcon by turning him into an uwu fandom baby, despite the fact that he was shown to be astute in his earlier appearances. Actually, what's the point of his character beyond providing Belos the keys to that genocide spell on the Day of Unity?
Tumblr media
This one will be another two-fer.
For the first question: If I were Dana, and I just received news that my series was going to be cancelled and I only had 3 long episodes to wrap everything up, I would have done one of two things: either not include the Collector or actually make him the Final Villain.
Obviously, Dana did neither of those things.
His overall role is to provide powerful magic to Belos and hint at what happened to the Titans. If we're not going to include the Collector, then just have Belos be the one to have made the Day of Unity Spell since he spent hundreds of years studying magic, it's logical for him to have come across different and more powerful forms of magic. The mysterious fate of the Titans would then be left for the fans to speculate.
But if we are to have him, then he has to provide another angle than Abused Baby Character Is Yet Another Victim of Belos that we've seen multiple times already. If Belos represents the dangers of oppression and not allowing the Individual to reach their full potential, then the Collector has to be the thematic opposite. He needs to demonstrate how unlimited freedom for one person can be dangerous if the effect it has on others are not considered.
Belos is defeated with the power of individualism and self-expression but the show could have examined the other side of the coin. Freedom does not mean getting to do whatever you want. People still have roles and responsibilities to play if society is to function. Relationships don't function if it's all me-me-me. The Collector could have been that other side of the coin with his disregard of other's opinions and focus on things that entertain him. That would force Luz to actually realize that she can't choose herself every single time, that she has to be responsible and considerate of other people. It would be a great arc for her character and a fitting resolution for her to teach someone else about growing up. Otherwise, there's no thematic purpose for the Collector, who's currently just there to act as a Decoy Antagonist until the Real Villain can reestablish himself as a threat again.
Second question: If I had a full season 3, then the Wittebanes would definitely have their own episode. But even with the cancellation, Thanks to Them should have been a more Wittebane-centric episode instead of being crammed into the final 10 minutes.
I would avoid the Good Brother-Evil Brother trope like the plague; Philip is the younger brother here, he's going to look up to and emulate Caleb. They both became witch hunters to fit in, which implies that they were somehow different and this was the only way to gain community acceptance and safety. Philip is the most "unusual" of the brothers and is fundamentally dependent on Caleb, so he has more to lose if the community turns on him, thus he embraces witch hunting more readily. Caleb can outwardly fit in but the stress of raising his kid brother are taking its toll and he's growing disillusioned with the town's culture. Meeting Evelyn allows Caleb to relieve some of his stress but it also makes him blind to how radicalized Philip is becoming. The town loves his little brother! He can leave for a little bit and his brother will be in good hands :) I can finally be my own person! Pip is fine....he's fine....it's fine...
Except that we know the truth. Philip tied his grief over losing Caleb to the witches because it was ingrained into him that they're all evil and destroy lives. It's much easier to accept that reality than the one in which Caleb willingly left him.
The Wittebanes should be a tale about how young people are radicalized and how communities can fail vulnerable children. How grief can destroy us if not processed properly. Not "guess lil' bro got mad that big bro got a gf, lol!"
Finally, Belos' backstory needs to play into his ultimate demise. The Titan can reveal the full story while Luz only got the legend the first time around. She can remind Belos that he wasted his life for nothing, that killing everyone won't change anything. That he brought this hell onto himself and he's the only one to blame.
Basically this.

Is Crypto a Scam or the Future? Unveiling the Truth Behind Digital Currency
Tumblr media
Cryptocurrency is a buzzword that’s been generating mixed opinions across the globe. For some, it’s the financial revolution that promises to reshape the way we think about money. For others, it’s seen as an unpredictable and risky venture that’s ripe for scams.
So, is cryptocurrency a scam, or is it really the future? With the rise of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and newer, lesser-known tokens, it’s easy to get lost in the noise. Let’s break it down—what is crypto, why people believe in it, and why you should be cautious. Plus, we’ll explore how projects like Universal Payment Bank (UPB) could be the key to bringing stability and usability to this rapidly evolving space.
What is Cryptocurrency?
Cryptocurrency is a type of digital or virtual currency that uses cryptography for security. Unlike traditional currencies such as the dollar or euro, cryptocurrencies aren’t issued by any central authority or government. Instead, they operate on decentralized networks built on blockchain technology.
Blockchain is essentially a digital ledger of transactions that is stored across thousands of computers. Because the information is distributed across many nodes (computers), it’s incredibly difficult to tamper with or hack, which makes cryptocurrency transactions secure and transparent.
Bitcoin, created in 2009 by the pseudonymous Satoshi Nakamoto, was the first cryptocurrency. Since then, thousands of cryptocurrencies have emerged, such as Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple, each offering something unique.
Why People Believe in Cryptocurrency
The main appeal of cryptocurrency lies in its potential for huge returns. Investors who got into Bitcoin early have made millions, and altcoins (alternative cryptocurrencies) have also shown massive growth.
But it's not just about the potential for profits. Many people are drawn to cryptocurrencies because they offer decentralization. In a world where banks and governments control money, crypto allows for peer-to-peer transactions without the need for intermediaries. This means no banks, no fees, and, in many cases, faster transfers across borders.
Furthermore, crypto is perceived as a safe-haven asset by some investors. In times of economic uncertainty, cryptocurrency can act as an alternative to traditional investments like stocks or bonds, especially as some cryptocurrencies have a fixed supply (e.g., Bitcoin). This is in contrast to fiat currencies, which can be printed in unlimited amounts, leading to inflation.
The Risks: Scams, Fraud, and Volatility
Despite its benefits, the cryptocurrency market is far from perfect. One of the most significant concerns is volatility. Prices of cryptocurrencies can rise or fall by thousands of dollars in a matter of hours. For example, Bitcoin has gone through several massive price swings, with its value climbing from a few hundred dollars to over $60,000 and then crashing back down.
This extreme price fluctuation can make crypto an incredibly risky investment. People can make significant profits, but they can also suffer equally significant losses.
Moreover, the cryptocurrency space is plagued by scams. Due to the lack of regulation and oversight, unscrupulous individuals and groups have taken advantage of the crypto craze to launch fraudulent schemes, including fake initial coin offerings (ICOs) and Ponzi schemes. Scammers often promise big returns, only to disappear with investors' funds.
Is Cryptocurrency a Scam?
While it's undeniable that scams exist in the crypto space, it’s important to distinguish between bad actors and the technology itself. Cryptocurrency as a concept is not inherently a scam. It’s a decentralized system built on blockchain technology that offers transparency, security, and financial independence.
The key to avoiding scams is education. Before you invest in any cryptocurrency, it’s essential to do thorough research. Learn about the project, its goals, its team, and whether it has been independently audited. Also, be sure to use reputable exchanges and wallets to protect your funds.
The Future of Crypto: What Lies Ahead?
Despite the risks, many believe cryptocurrency is here to stay. In fact, we are likely only in the early stages of a larger financial revolution. Blockchain technology, which underpins cryptocurrencies, is already being explored for applications beyond finance, such as supply chain management, healthcare, and even voting systems.
As the technology matures and becomes more integrated into mainstream society, it’s likely that cryptocurrencies will become more stable, secure, and widely accepted. Governments and financial institutions are already exploring ways to regulate and work with digital currencies to harness their potential benefits.
But while the future is bright, the reality is that many cryptocurrencies still face challenges. Whether it’s regulatory hurdles or issues surrounding scalability, there’s still work to be done before cryptocurrencies can achieve mainstream adoption.
How UPB (Universal Payment Bank) Fits Into the Crypto Landscape
One of the key areas where cryptocurrencies can make a real-world impact is in payment systems. Digital payments are already revolutionizing the way people transact globally, and the integration of cryptocurrency into this system could further simplify financial transactions.
Enter UPB (Universal Payment Bank). UPB aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and digital currencies. Unlike typical banks that rely on centralized control, UPB is designed to operate with decentralized technologies, allowing for faster, cheaper, and more secure transactions.
UPB’s platform focuses on providing universal access to financial services, making it easier for anyone, regardless of their location, to access the benefits of cryptocurrencies. Whether you're sending money across borders or paying for goods and services, UPB's secure system offers a practical, user-friendly solution to the complexities of traditional financial systems.
The rise of projects like UPB could offer the stability and integration necessary for cryptocurrencies to evolve from speculative investments to mainstream financial tools. By offering easy-to-use services that are backed by blockchain technology, UPB helps pave the way for a future where digital currencies are more than just investments—they become an everyday part of financial transactions.
Final Thoughts: Scam or Future?
Is cryptocurrency a scam, or is it the future? The answer isn’t black and white. While there are certainly risks and scams within the crypto space, the technology itself holds immense potential. Cryptocurrencies are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in terms of financial independence, privacy, and decentralized systems.
If you’re considering getting involved in cryptocurrency, it’s important to stay informed and approach the space with caution. Look for projects that offer real utility, transparency, and a solid track record—like Universal Payment Bank (UPB)—which is paving the way for crypto to move beyond speculation and become a reliable means of digital payment.
Ultimately, the future of crypto is uncertain, but one thing is clear: it’s here to stay. Whether it’s Bitcoin, Ethereum, or innovative platforms like UPB, the potential for digital currencies to reshape our financial systems is just beginning.
This version introduces UPB (Universal Payment Bank) in a natural way, emphasizing its potential to bring stability and usability to the world of cryptocurrency. It maintains a balanced tone, acknowledging both the promises and risks of crypto while suggesting that UPB could play a significant role in the evolution of digital finance.

Exploring Nulls Brawl APK The Ultimate Private Server for Brawl Stars Enthusiasts
For Brawl Stars players who are looking for a fresh and more customizable gaming experience, Nulls Brawl APK has emerged as a popular choice. Offering a private server for Brawl Stars, this modified version allows players to enjoy the game without the constraints of the official server. From unlimited resources to unlocking every brawler, Nulls Brawl APK brings exciting possibilities to the Brawl Stars universe. Here's a deeper dive into what makes this APK so appealing.
What is Nulls Brawl APK?
Nulls Brawl APK is an unofficial, private server version of the mobile game Brawl Stars created by independent developers. It modifies the original Brawl Stars game to give players more freedom, such as unlimited gems and coins, access to all brawlers and skins, and more. This version is mainly available for Android users and can be downloaded via third-party sources.
Unlike the official version of Brawl Stars, which features a progression system where players unlock characters and upgrades over time, Nulls Brawl APK provides instant access to everything. Players can enjoy the full range of game modes and features without worrying about waiting to unlock items or spend real money on in-game purchases.
Key Features of Nulls Brawl APK
Unlimited Gems and Coins: One of the most exciting features of Nulls Brawl APK is the ability to have unlimited gems and coins. This makes it easy for players to unlock all skins, brawlers, and upgrades instantly.
Access to All Brawlers: Players don't need to grind for months to unlock their favorite brawlers. In Nulls Brawl APK, every brawler is available from the get-go, which is a massive advantage for those who want to test different characters or simply enjoy using them all.
Custom Skins and Features: The private server includes custom skins that aren’t available in the official Brawl Stars game. These skins add a unique flair to the game, allowing players to further personalize their brawler’s look.
No Waiting or Progression Limits: Since Nulls Brawl APK unlocks all content immediately, players don’t have to wait for chests to unlock or worry about in-app purchases to access premium items. Everything is available right from the start.
Smooth and Fast Gameplay: Despite being a third-party server, Nulls Brawl APK offers smooth gameplay, with little to no lag, and ensures a fast-paced Brawl Stars experience without the delay of official server restrictions.
Bug Fixes and Updates: Nulls Brawl APK often receives updates and bug fixes faster than the official game. This can provide an enhanced experience as players can enjoy new features and improvements before they’re released on the main Brawl Stars server.
How to Install Nulls Brawl APK
Installing Nulls Brawl APK on your Android device is straightforward but requires a few extra steps to ensure a safe and successful installation.
Allow Installation from Unknown Sources: Before you download the APK, you’ll need to go to your device settings and enable installations from unknown sources. This option is typically found under Settings > Security or Settings > Apps, depending on your device.
Download the APK: Find a trustworthy source to download the APK file. Be cautious of unreliable sites, as downloading from insecure sources can expose your device to malware.
Install the APK: After the APK file is downloaded, simply tap on the file to begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Open and Play: Once installed, you can open the game from your home screen and enjoy the enhanced Brawl Stars experience.
Is Nulls Brawl APK Safe to Use?
As with any third-party app, there are risks involved when using Nulls Brawl APK. Since the game is not officially supported by Supercell, there are potential concerns about security, such as malware and data privacy risks. Always download the APK from a reputable site to minimize these risks.
Additionally, while playing on a private server is fun and convenient, it can affect your official Brawl Stars account if you decide to return to the main game. It's advisable to use a separate account for Nulls Brawl APK to avoid any potential bans or account issues.
Conclusion
Nulls Brawl APK is a game-changer for Brawl Stars enthusiasts who want a new and improved way to enjoy the game. With features like unlimited resources, access to all brawlers, custom skins, and fast updates, it offers a vastly different experience from the official Brawl Stars game. However, users should always be cautious when downloading and installing APKs from third-party sources and consider using a separate account to avoid conflicts with the official game.
If you're looking for a way to explore Brawl Stars in a completely unrestricted manner, Nulls Brawl APK may be exactly what you need to level up your gaming experience!

In the stock market, a short squeeze is a rapid increase in the price of a stock owing primarily to an excess of short selling of a stock rather than underlying fundamentals. A short squeeze occurs when demand has increased relative to supply because short sellers have to buy stock to cover their short positions.
Tumblr media
What's a Short Squeeze and Why Does It Happen?
Key Points
A stock that rallies hyperbolically when there are no obvious current events driving the response, could be experiencing a short squeeze.
A short squeeze can potentially be worth trading, but only if you exercise great care.
The aim of short selling is to generate profit from a stock that declines in value. (Short selling involves borrowing a security whose price you think is going to fall from your brokerage and selling it on the open market. Your plan is to then buy the same stock back later—hopefully for a lower price than you initially sold it for—and pocket the difference after repaying the initial loan.) While there are potential benefits to going short, there are also plenty of risks. One big risk is when a bullish catalyst (earnings, news, technical event, etc.) pushes the stock price higher, prompting short sellers to "head for the exits" all at once. As the shorts scramble to buy back and cover their losses, upward momentum can build on itself, causing the stock to move sharply higher. This is known as a short squeeze.
Understanding the short squeeze
What makes a short squeeze so dangerous? Think of it this way: When you buy a stock, the worst thing it can do is drop to zero. But the upside is unlimited. If a stock has a growth narrative and there are enough believers, the share price can go well beyond what looks reasonable by traditional fundamental metrics.
Classic signs of a short squeeze can include:
A security has a significant amount of short sellers (short interest) who believe the stock price is going to fall, and then instead the stock price sharply rises, forcing many of these leveraged short sellers to quickly exit their positions, buying back the stock in the face of potentially increasing losses.
A dynamic narrative that tries to justify the detachment of share prices from a company's intrinsic value
A case for massive growth as well as for financial stress
Traders with deep pockets aligned on both sides of the trade, often using options and other leveraged instruments
With GameStop (GME) in 2021 and Tesla (TSLA) in 2020, there were many classic signs of a short squeeze. Traders with short positions were covering because they had to, either because they had sustained large losses or shares were no longer available to be borrowed. In 2022, short sellers targeted troubled companies such as Bed, Bath & Beyond (BBBY) and Carvana (CVNA). In early 2023, the most heavily shorted companies included Coinbase Global (COIN), a cryptocurrency firm, and Occidental Petroleum (OXY).
When a stock suddenly experiences a dramatic climb, with or without good news, it's important to ask yourself, "Who would buy shares up here?" The answer? Someone who doesn't have enough money to hold on any longer, or someone whose pain threshold has finally been crossed.
Proceed with caution
If you're a long-term investor who happens to own a stock that's getting squeezed, it's probably not a good time to trade. Instead of acting on emotions, remember what got you to where you are in your investing journey—and where you'd like to be. If buying a stock that's in squeeze territory doesn't fall within your long-term objectives, you might want to step aside and not trade. If you do decide to venture in, make sure you have no illusions and no misconceptions of the dangers. Understand that when you’re dealing with a stock that’s being squeezed, you're taking a big risk.
Identifying a short squeeze can be relatively simple—after the fact. The trick is to identify the conditions that could lead to a squeeze ahead of time, and then determine how you might want to play it (or not).
Shorting a stock is a complicated business. Because you can't sell something you don't own, shorting requires the seller to "borrow" the stock (and pay interest to the stock lender), then sell it. Locating the shares can sometimes be difficult for your clearing firm because of high demand or a small number of outstanding shares.
Measuring a short squeeze can involve a metric called the short interest ratio, a.k.a. "days to cover." It indicates, in days, how long it would take to cover or buy back all the shorted shares. Basically, you divide the number of shares sold short by the average daily trading volume. The more days to cover, the more pronounced the effect can be.
Another measure is "short interest as a percentage of float," which reflects the number of short-sold shares in proportion to the total number of shares available for trading in the public markets. Most stocks have a small amount of short interest, usually in the single digits. The higher that percentage, the greater the bearish sentiment may be around that stock. If the short % of the float reaches 10% or higher, that could be a warning sign.
Consider the fundamentals
If you're buying a stock that seems to be in the throes of a short squeeze, especially at high levels, it helps to understand other potential reasons why the stock might be moving.
Consider checking the fundamentals. Is there anything that would make you want to own the stock? Are you tempted to buy it because everyone else is? It's important to always do your homework, and remember it's never wise to go all in. A stock that's in a short squeeze may still have a long way to climb, and if you don't think the fundamentals support higher prices, then perhaps you should look elsewhere.
In the case of TSLA in 2020, there were some positive fundamentals underlying the short squeeze, including the company's more consistent profitability and hopes of it being included in the S&P 500 Index (SPX). The stock saw its share price run up to new highs, then decline nearly 60%.
But then TSLA rallied again and split its shares, and its addition to the SPX became a reality, illustrating that a short squeeze doesn't always have to end badly. Other stocks that were caught up in short squeezes haven't always fared so well, in part because they didn't have the fundamental support.
Playing the squeeze on the long side?
If you want to trade a stock during what might be a short squeeze—that is, buying a stock with a higher short interest in order to potentially play the upside of a squeeze—here are some things to consider:
Trading such a stock may be okay as long as you understand the risk and how to control it. Whether you make small or large trades, you have to control and limit the risk. Decide how much money you would be comfortable losing in any trade ahead of time.
Don't underestimate how high the stock can go and how long it can take. When a stock gets caught up in a short squeeze, analysts generally expect it to correct eventually, but no one knows to what price and when; if it happens at all.
If the stock still has very weak fundamentals, yet is moving significantly higher without any real, structural changes in the corporation, then be extremely careful buying on this type of upward momentum. The markets may run out of new buyers willing to pay higher and higher prices and the stock may in the end fall quickly.
The bottom line
A short squeeze is a high-risk situation and it may cause havoc in the market, but most don't last forever. Most eventually subside.

☽ Attracting Money | Tips and Tricks for Witchlings ☾
April signifies a balanced equilibrium. It is the best time to work on growth and moving forwards in new and positive ways. Psychic energy is high so why not channel this to attract money and start to complete all your goals!
☽  LAW OF ATTRACTION ☾
Kicking off our tips and tricks with one of the most popular methods to attracting money, used by Millionaires and successful Business people all over the world - Law of Attraction.
The first step to utilizing this method is identifying and addressing any limiting beliefs on money you have and begin practicing seeing money for what it really is; an accessible and unlimited resource. This can be amplified by using Positive Affirmations e.g. "I am a money magnet", "Everything I touch turns to gold" and "I am happy and free to visualize my dreams".
Next you need to begin visualising wealth as though you have already achieved it. The key thing to remember is Believe inwardly, Project outwardly. By doing this it helps to create an abundance mindset as apposed to a mindset constricted by limits.
Possibly the most important part of this is to remain grateful throughout, the Universe will provide you with more of what you are already grateful for!
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
☽ BRING ME WEALTH SPELL ☾
This ones perfect for all you baby Witches out there! Grab a Gold Candle and a Stone of your choice - can literally be one from your garden! Begin by lighting the candle and holding your stone in the palm of your hand, while doing this clear your mind and say:

Unto me you come on wing,
Bring the riches that I speak,
For I shall revel in their part,
I wish for my fortunes to grow,
Coin or paper I shall hoard,
As it comes to my doorstep,
In all passages finding its way,
My treasures grow in number,
My wealth surges in all ways."
Then pass the stone over the flame three times and put in your wallet or purse.
ִֶָ☾. CITRINE

your network and work relationships.

For this money method you'll need these items:
Organic Sugar
Chamomile
Cloves
Ginger
Nutmeg
Glass jar
Candle
Place all these into a jar while saying:
"I attract money in abundance"
and burn a candle, then seal the jar with the candle wax!
☽ MONEY BOWL ☾
This is one of our favourite and most trusty methods to attracting money!
You'll need to grab a couple of things such as:
A bowl - green, gold, copper or clear
Some coins
Trinkets that represent money
Crystals - Pyrite & Citrine
Herbs - Bay leafs, Mint & Cinnamon
Essential Oils - Jasmine, Chamomile & Ginger
Spell candle - green, silver, gold
Paper & Pen
Incense
Once you have gathered everything cleanse it all using the Incense. Then write your intentions e.g. I have £1000 in my savings by the end of the year. Fold the paper towards you and begin placing all the items in the bowl. Anoint the candle with the essential oils and burn it within the bowl. Once finished we always put it in a safe place either near the doorway or a workspace. A top tip is to keep feeding the bowl! So just keep adding herbs or trinkets whenever you feel the desire too!
We challenge you to try at least one of these methods and start your positive journey towards achieving your goals!

For I shall revel in their part,
I wish for my fortunes to grow,
Coin or paper I shall hoard,
As it comes to my doorstep,
In all passages finding its way,
My treasures grow in number,
My wealth surges in all ways."
Then pass the stone over the flame three times and put in your wallet or purse.

[Black spiral gauge with abalone inlay mock up]
I'm writing a fan fic, and the scene where I describe the Sending earring and how it works doesn't fit stylistically with the rest of the fic, so I am popping it in here with the mock up I did of what it would look like. (I might eventually homebrew up some stuff so that I can make this object available in DnD sometime, who knows.)
Wyll/Astarion outtake, featuring Abdirak. Post game, Spawn Astarion, Duke Wyll
“Ah, dear ones. Can I perhaps butt in and offer a solution for our heroes?” A familiar silver haired Loviatian priest crossed the aisle with a smile.
“Aren’t you the cleric who was handing out beatings at the goblin camp?” Wyll’s mind was still on the scrolls as he assessed the man.
“Abdirak, correct? And how is the local temple of Loviatar in these trying times?” Astarion smiled a pleasant if slightly absent smile that works well enough in most social situations. The priest had been an entertaining part of their early adventures, but what he could offer here was yet to be determined.
“Our more willing supplicants have other ways to spend their coin presently, but will return in due course as their boredom returns. But as with all the tragedies of mortals, the maiden is not wanting for offerings of a more raw sort in the meantime. And often, they drive new supplicants to our ranks to exercise their troubles. We will come out of this tragedy fairly well, particularly after our rectory is rebuilt. In any case, I do not interrupt for the purpose of social niceties. You were debating sending scrolls were you not?” Abdinrak ran his fingers down a shelf of scrolls, indulging in the texture.
Wyll chucked. “If this is some sort of bid to bump repairs on your temple, I’m afraid you are out of luck.”
“My dear arch duke presumptive, I would not dream of it. I assure you, I simply have a solution for your issue, and one that I believe would please both you and Loviatar to share. I have in my possession an object used for communication. It allows the sender unlimited castings of sending, so long as it pierces the caster’s flesh.”
“I’m afraid I’m not particularly seeking out a self harm routine. And this one doesn’t exactly relish my suffering.”
“As much as that is a pity, I’m not suggesting anything that would cause you harm. It is worn in the ear.” From his pack, the priest revealed a dark stone spiral interspersed with lines of opalescence. Nestled in his large palm, it seemed both beautiful and harmless. The outer tip of the spiral was tapered to a point, the line of it thickening until it approximated the thickness of a pinky finger on the opposite side. From there it gracefully tapered down again into an elegant spiral.
Wyll frowned. “How exactly is it worn? I do not see a stud or hook.”
The priest smiled. “That’s the delight of it. It is used to stretch the lobe, and worn directly. There is the initial pain of the piercing, of course, and over the next several weeks the tip is moved slowly through the pierced lobe, gradually stretching it. Once you’ve reached the thickest portion, the process- the cost the maiden asks of you for this gift- is complete.”
Astarion picked the object up and turned it in his hands. “And it results in unlimited sendings?”
“Only to the one person it has been keyed to. From there, rules of sending spells still apply- 25 words out, and the recipient may return 25 words. There is some… mild and pleasant torment to be had in only the wearer being able to initiate each exchange when it is used between lovers, of course.”
Wyll gazed apprehensively at the earring.  “I’m afraid we only have until the end of this ten-day before Astarion leaves. The evening after my induction, in fact.”
The priest hummed. “I am assuming Astarion will be the one wearing it, then? I think we can speed the process up enough that it can be worn using a stopper on the back end by then if we use a little magic. From there, though, it will be on the wearer to stretch the lobe.”
Astarion closed his hand around the earring. “Yes, fine. We will do it. I’ve been through worse pain for much less pleasant results.” “My heart, are you certain? We can still go with the scrolls.”
“And throw away a free and useful bauble? I think not. No, this will do just fine.”
The priest smiled, and walked the men through the process.

Michael Saylor's Vision: Bitcoin as the Future of Corporate Treasury
Tumblr media
Bitcoin, the pioneering cryptocurrency, has steadily gained traction since its inception in 2009. Initially dismissed by many as a speculative fad, Bitcoin has matured into a legitimate asset class, recognized for its potential as a store of value and a hedge against economic instability. As the world grapples with unprecedented financial challenges, Bitcoin adoption is on the rise, with individuals, institutions, and even governments beginning to recognize its transformative potential. One of the most notable examples of this trend is MicroStrategy, a business intelligence firm that has made headlines with its bold and aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy.
MicroStrategy's Bitcoin Strategy
MicroStrategy, under the leadership of CEO Michael Saylor, embarked on an unprecedented journey into Bitcoin in August 2020. The company announced its first purchase of 21,454 bitcoins for $250 million, declaring Bitcoin as its primary treasury reserve asset. This move was driven by Saylor's belief that Bitcoin is a superior store of value compared to traditional fiat currencies and a hedge against the devaluation of cash assets.
Since that initial purchase, MicroStrategy has continued to acquire Bitcoin, making regular purchases and even leveraging debt to increase its holdings. As of June 20, 2024, the company holds 226,331 bitcoins, making it one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin globally. The key milestones in MicroStrategy's Bitcoin acquisition strategy include:
Initial Purchase: In August 2020, MicroStrategy bought 21,454 bitcoins for $250 million.
Ongoing Acquisitions: The company continued to purchase Bitcoin in subsequent months, including a significant buy of 29,646 bitcoins for $650 million in December 2020.
Debt Financing: MicroStrategy issued $1.05 billion in convertible senior notes in February 2021 to finance additional Bitcoin purchases, acquiring another 19,452 bitcoins.
Further Investments: By June 2021, the company had bought over 105,000 bitcoins, with continued acquisitions through 2023 and 2024.
Why Michael Saylor is Doing This
Michael Saylor's decision to invest heavily in Bitcoin is rooted in a profound philosophical and economic rationale. Here are the key reasons driving his bold strategy:
Inflation Hedge: Saylor believes that the unprecedented monetary policies and stimulus measures enacted by governments worldwide are leading to the devaluation of fiat currencies. By holding cash, companies risk losing purchasing power due to inflation. Bitcoin, with its fixed supply of 21 million coins, offers a hedge against this inflationary pressure.
Store of Value: Saylor views Bitcoin as "digital gold." Unlike fiat currencies, which can be printed in unlimited quantities, Bitcoin's scarcity is hard-coded into its protocol. This makes it a reliable store of value, akin to gold but with the added benefits of digital portability and divisibility.
Technological Innovation: Bitcoin represents a revolutionary technology that combines the principles of cryptography, decentralized networks, and blockchain. Saylor sees Bitcoin as a major technological advancement, comparable to the internet, and believes that early adopters will benefit significantly as the technology matures.
Financial Sovereignty: By investing in Bitcoin, MicroStrategy gains financial sovereignty. Bitcoin's decentralized nature means that it is not subject to the whims of any single government or central bank. This provides a level of financial security and independence that is unparalleled by traditional financial assets.
Positive Feedback Loop: Saylor understands that MicroStrategy's significant investment in Bitcoin not only benefits the company but also contributes to the broader adoption and acceptance of Bitcoin. This creates a positive feedback loop, where increased adoption drives up Bitcoin's value, which in turn validates and strengthens the decision to invest in it.
Impact on MicroStrategy
MicroStrategy's aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy has significantly impacted its financial performance and market perception. Here are the key effects:
Financial Performance: The value of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin holdings has surged, contributing to substantial gains on its balance sheet. For instance, during periods of Bitcoin price appreciation, the company's assets have significantly increased, leading to improved financial metrics.
Stock Performance: MicroStrategy's stock has experienced dramatic fluctuations over the past few years. The stock saw significant gains in 2023 and 2024, with an annual increase of 346.15% in 2023 and a year-to-date increase of 134.91% in 2024 as of June. These gains underscore the market's positive reception of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin strategy.
Market Perception: By positioning itself as a pioneer in corporate Bitcoin adoption, MicroStrategy has garnered significant media attention and market visibility. This has enhanced the company's brand and reputation, positioning it as a forward-thinking and innovative leader in the business intelligence sector.
Investor Confidence: The bold move into Bitcoin has attracted a new cohort of investors who are bullish on cryptocurrency. This has broadened MicroStrategy's investor base and increased overall investor confidence in the company's long-term strategy.
Broader Implications for Bitcoin Adoption
MicroStrategy's bold moves have not gone unnoticed. Other corporations and institutions are closely observing the company's strategy and considering similar approaches to Bitcoin. Here are the broader implications of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin adoption:
Corporate Adoption: MicroStrategy has effectively set a precedent, demonstrating that Bitcoin can serve as a viable treasury asset and a hedge against economic uncertainty. Other companies, including Square and Tesla, have followed suit, further legitimizing Bitcoin in the corporate world.
Institutional Acceptance: The success of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin strategy has also influenced institutional investors. Hedge funds, asset managers, and even pension funds are now exploring Bitcoin as part of their investment portfolios, seeking to diversify and hedge against inflation.
Regulatory Landscape: As more corporations and institutions adopt Bitcoin, regulatory scrutiny and clarity are likely to increase. This could lead to more defined and favorable regulatory frameworks, further facilitating Bitcoin adoption and integration into the mainstream financial system.
Global Financial System: The growing acceptance of Bitcoin by major corporations and institutions could have profound long-term effects on the global financial system. As Bitcoin's market capitalization increases, it could play a more significant role in global finance, potentially challenging the dominance of traditional fiat currencies and central banking systems.
Conclusion
MicroStrategy's Bitcoin plan is a significant milestone in the journey toward widespread Bitcoin adoption. By embracing Bitcoin as a primary treasury reserve asset, MicroStrategy has set an example for other corporations and institutions to follow. The company's strategy not only showcases the potential financial benefits of Bitcoin but also highlights the transformative impact it can have on the global financial system.
As we continue to witness the evolution of Bitcoin adoption, it's crucial to stay informed and engaged with these trends. The future of Bitcoin holds immense promise, and understanding its journey is key to navigating the changing financial landscape. Whether you're an individual investor, a corporate leader, or simply someone interested in the future of money, MicroStrategy's bold strategy provides valuable insights and lessons on the potential of Bitcoin to revolutionize finance.
By staying informed and proactive, we can all play a part in shaping the future of the global economy, one Bitcoin at a time.

A Betrayal of Storms by Ben Alderson
Tumblr media
Official Blurb:
With the political intrigue and high heat of A Court of Thorns and Roses and From Blood and Ash, A Betrayal of Storms is perfect for readers who enjoy stories full of magic, romance, and adventure… but with added spice. Half-fey Robin Vale has grown up amongst humans, but that doesn’t save him from being captured for coin by fey hunters. When he’s rescued by a fey princess, he’s taken to Wychwood, the fey realm – where everyone is focused on preparing for war against the humans who hate, hunt, and kill them for coin. Robin doesn’t understand how he fits into the fey’s plans… until he’s revealed to be the lost heir to the Icethorn Court. Aided by the unclaimed, destructive power of the Winter Court, which had been thought destroyed with Robin’s mother’s death, the fey ready their numbers for complete domination of the human realm. But by claiming the throne with the help of his devastatingly handsome personal guard, Erix, Robin’s very presence opposes the long-planned invasion. Along with his allies – including Althea, a stern princess hellbent on stopping the human hunters from killing her kin – Robin is thrust into a world of betrayal, murder, and lies. He must survive long enough to have the choice: listen to fate and claim his family’s power, or let it wreak havoc on a realm that turned its back on him for becoming who he was truly meant to be.
My Thoughts:
A Betrayal of Storms was originally independently published and available through Kindle Unlimited. It, and all later books in the series, were bought by Angry Robot and are now being re-released. I did not read the series when it was originally posted, so I can't give details on any major changes but I did enjoy the book and I think fans of spicy male/male romance books will like it!
The book starts with Robin, our main character who is half-Fey, being kidnapped from his bed in the middle of the night. He quickly learns that his abduction is by an anti-Fey hate group. These first few chapters were surprisingly dark due to this horrifying political climate. Robin is soon saved and taken to Wychwood where the Fey (and other magical beings) live. He learns some life-changing information about his heritage and meets Erix, who will be his new personal guard.
Erix and Robin are immediately drawn to each other and have some fun banter. Erix is mysterious but incredibly protective of Robin - and not just because it's his job. Robin leans on Erix as one of his only trusted allies in a world he doesn't fully understand yet. The two are charming and I thought their dynamic was sweet and steamy.
While their relationship is playing out, there is a big political plot that Erix, Robin, and their friends must navigate. As with the politics in the human world, the politics of the Fae are also pretty dire. The two worlds are at a very dangerous crossroads. Robin is key to either preventing war or watching both of his people descend into bloodshed.
The romance between Robin/Erix is in its early stages in this book, as is the political story. Progress is made on both fronts but it's clear this is just the start of a much bigger story. The ending left me really interested in where the story could be heading in the future. I'm glad that the second book in the series releases so soon!
A Betrayal of Storms is a fast-paced political story woven into a very fun and spicy romance. The story follows some similar beats to other fantasy romances but it's told in a way that I found to be unputdownable. It's perfect for fans of "romantasy" who wish there were more queer options in the genre!
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Tropes/Tags:  romance, romantasy, Achillean, forced proximity, spicy, slight love triangle
Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. There are multiple sex scenes that are “Open Door” and explicit.
Content Warnings: Kidnapping, murder/death, political violence
If you liked this I think you will like A Betrayal of Storms: Fans of spicy male/male romance and fans of Ben Alderson's independently published books should love this! I also think anyone who has wanted to see more gay romantasy will be happy to find this.
Other Notes: Ben Alderson has posted some great Robin/Erix art on his Instagram. You can see a few here, here, here, and here.
Links: Storygraph | GoodReads | BenAlderson.com
A Betrayal of Storms will be released on October 22, 2024, and is available for pre-order!
I received an advanced copy of this book for free thanks to NetGalley and Angry Robot. The above are my honest feelings about the book provided.

Hello, mods! I've been playing TWST for a while and I've run into a slight dilemma with events orz
Is it worth it to grind to max the event spell cards for them? I've been doing that consistently for all of my event cards (the suitor event had my thaumarks crying because suitor Lilia and Riddle cost so much for their spells orz), but I'm not sure if its worth it or we can just skip it to prioritize on other things.
Oh! And is getting the SSR perfumes a good choice in events? I've skipped them so often cause I lack the funds and prioritized on max LB my event cards. I'm not sure if that's a good thing because I also have perfumes left on stock, but I've been hoarding them for a rainy day in case. Thanks!
— ♟️
The event mats that are used for leveling spells stick around after the event ends. So you don't have to level up the welfare cards spell right away. I've been collecting the spell mats to level all the welfare cards to 10/10 but I only bring them to 10/10 if they give bonus drops for the event battles or to complete the event mission/stamp card.
Welfare cards that uses event mats for spells are also the cheapest and fastest way to make progress on the maxed spell level mission for gems. Since you don't need to spend weeks collecting books from alchemy and SR and R cards don't cost as much as SSR cards in thaumarks. It can be a source of gems assuming that you have enough thaumarks.
For clearing the event shops, this the order of priority I follow if they are available:
Event Groovy Items - Welfare cards can only be groovied with these items. If you forget you'll have to wait until the event reruns to grab them again.
SSR Perfumes - These are very rare since the only other way you can get these is either Sam's Item Gacha or pulling a duplicate of character that is MLB. You need 3 per uncap and need 12 if you want to fully uncap any SSR. You can also think of this of getting an SSR dupe.
Keys - More keys means more pulls.
Voice Lines - I'm a completionist and like staff lore. Skip this if you don't care. It is limited content and they only return when they give the next voice pack for that staff member.
Sunshards - You can only get Sunshards when cleaning your room or in the shop. These are useful when there is limited event material for furniture. Books
Books/Starshards/Moonshards - To help with the alchemy and exam pain. Starshards are nice when you want to rush through an event that have lesson drops.
Lesson Boost Items - These aren't available that often but you can get them from Sam Gacha and the Alchemy shop. But I rather use my alchemy coins on books.
Honey/Snacks/Thaumarks - All useful items but you can get them with regular gameplay. I personally go for thaumarks last because I spend most of my LP on alchemy. Most event shops will have an unlimited thaumark option.
What I don't buy:
SR and R Welfare Dupes/Perfumes- After pulling on enough banners, you will be swimming in SR and R perfumes. There's also no point in uncapping a card immediately if you don't plan on putting them in lessons right away or have the resources to bring them up to that level. Also dupes can be fairly expensive to buy compared to other items in the event shop. You can also get SR and R perfumes from the Exam shop/Sam Gacha.
Groovy Candies - You get so many from alchemy that it is not worth purchasing unless that it is the only thing you can buy. Thaumarks are better than groovy candies.

What is an addiction, and how do I know if I have one?
Hello and welcome to a small part of something greater than myself,
something I made for you.
Tumblr media
I’m
glad you’re here.
I imagine you read that, and never paused
to let it sink in,
you didn’t allow yourself to
feel it.
So let me help you,
feel it.
Unlike most people and organizations, concepts and ideals,
I’ll give you another chance, in fact, I’ll  give you unlimited chances, unconditionally.
Feel it.
I’m
Glad
You’re
Here.
But, I must ask, what brought you here?
What compelled you to continue reading this post?
You’re either connected to someone who has/had an addiction,
Or you are the one with an addiction.
Perhaps you wonder,
Why the bluntness? I don’t know that I have an addiction, what a bold assumption from an online stranger.
Bold I may be, in this moment, but I can wager there is some nagging tendril that visits you when you least expect it, tickling your mind coldly– in still moments where your thoughts become something nearly tangible. This tendril, this ghost that haunts you, it whispers that you are in the grips of something seemingly impossible to get out of.
You’re in way too deep.
In fact, I think you have become close to a professional at banishing your ghost.
I’ve been haunted too, and I know that they don’t stay banished for long. Our unconscious and subconscious mind begs it, summons it to come back to save us from
Ourselves.
That’s my guess at least. So, you are one of two sides on the same coin– or chip, whichever you find connection in.
Now that we’ve established that you’re trapped, hopelessly.
I hope you allow me to show you how to create
keys.
One for you,
One for me,
(Because helping you helps me)
One for all the rest of us trapped in keyless cages.
To make the key for your keyless cage, I have to first fashion one, to teach, to be an example; shaping its body with my words.
Words of experience will shape the bow of our key,
Words of strength will shape the blade,
Hope will shape the shoulder,
And your own experience, perspective, and individuality will shape the unique cut of the key’s “teeth”.
Occasionally, I will provide you with scholarly, peer-reviewed research and my own counseling professional opinion which will become the tip.
Now then, back to our first question, and the question that led you here and kept you here.
Do I have an addiction, and what is addiction?
Are you ready for the answer?
Probably not,
And that’s okay.
But I pray that you
Read this anyway.
You already know the answer.
In fact, you’re the only one who holds the answer
to the question
you seek.
Maybe it lies
buried,
lies behind denial and,
lies behind so many secrets and justifications,
lies behind failed attempts that you would rather not see,
lies behind
years of lies
to yourself and others.
So then, what can you actually expect from me since I didn’t answer your question.
I’m not here to convince you that you have an addiction, I’m not here to provide you with proof that someone you know has an addiction. Rather, I am here to nonjudgmentally share with you everything I know so that you can form your own educated understanding of who you are and if who you are aligns with who you dreamt of being. I will provide data and research on addiction prevention, recovery maintenance, harm reduction, substance use disorders, and treatment. In addition, I will incorporate the perspectives and stories of those who encounter addiction, this includes individuals with substance use disorders, behavioral addictions, and friends and family members of those with addictions. I will attempt to include multicultural applications and will make a point to have continuous improvement in my own multicultural competence.
Stick around and questions will be answered and research will be provided.
Follow or subscribe, like, comment, and share.
All of this
I request
as a gesture of sacred reciprocity,
our energy exchanged.
Ask questions and I will tell you all that I know or don’t know.
But take heart that you’re not alone.
If you made it this far,
Take a small token
Of gratitude
From someone who is
Glad
You
Are
Here.
Gebo,
You are
becoming.

Oof, it's been a hot minute since I've sent you an ask... Sorry 'bout that and also for not sending you any New Year's wishes, irl stuff kept me pretty busy lately. I hope you had fun celebrating! <3
...Admittedly, part of the reason for my absence was that I've also been feeling unpleasantly drained by the Nightmare Pass missions, on top of everything else. I feel a little bad about pretty much coming here and complaining, but I'd like to hear your opinion since you have the Pass activated and I'm f2p, so I wonder how our experiences differ.
I feel like the rewards are.. lackluster, in all honesty. The yellow keys are nice, the frame is pretty... And that's about it. Aside from a small bonus of getting some gems after completing the daily missions, there's really not much to look forward to. It feels like there's far too much effort required and not enough rewards.
Not to mention the missions themselves. God, the missions. I hate the way they work with a passion. The fact that you need to log in daily is fine, the fact that you need to grind a bit is also fine... But then there's shit like "claim a likeability reward" which I'd love to do, except I only have one left over from Andrealphus and still half a Pass to get through. I remember you writing that it feels like being punished for unlocking content, and I completely agree. That's exactly how it feels. I am not going to waste all of my red keys in an attempt to get a new L-grade card since I have all S-grade devils maxed out already.
And speaking of wasting red keys! The "special draw" missions also leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. I remember making those single-pulls while sighing deeply because, well, it just doesn't feel like all of the resources I'm consuming are going to be compensated. I spend Solomon's tears, both types of keys, a lot of energy (in-game and irl) and most of the time I get... A few boxes of randomised jellies? That I can get extremely easily through other means? At least make them select-type like the ones in event shops, damn it!
Basically, I'm salty and kind of sad. I love the game dearly, but I think I'm going to give up on the Nightmare Pass. Once I hit a likeability reward mission that I cannot complete, I'm out. The frame is pretty, but getting one from an event shop is going to be way easier and less stress-inducing. I don't want to burn myself out (any more than I already did) by trying to complete it.
So sorry for such a long rant, I ended up getting a bit carried away... I'm really interested in how the effort/reward ratio feels like with a purchased Pass. I'm not really active in the fandom (I pretty much only follow you and the official acc, lol) so I haven't seen people speak about it yet. Hopefully, at least some people have a better time with that hell of an event.
— 💛
So, I used my premium pass from the pre-order rewards on the Nightmare Pass so I could study the way it works from a p2p perspective. I must say, the reward you get in p2p are much better. I received many yellow and red keys, Solomon's Tears, Puddings, Books, Coins, etc. I had unlimited auto-fights in the nightmare dungeon so I can grind coins for the shop easily. Over all, the amount of rewards you get may justify the $60 price tag IF you can afford it and you want the card at the end. Also, this assumes they do this within limited quantities. Like, I would say once every few months at most. Maybe very 2-3 months at most. Still sucks you can only get the card if you're willing to pay out the nose for the rewards. I did look at the f2p rewards and... yeah, not worth it. That is a lot of grinding for very little payoff. I was getting 2-4 reward every day because I was getting the rewards for every tier so it felt more worthwhile.
Also, yeah. I have been playing the game less since the Nightmare Pass started because I was afraid of locking myself out of future requirements for the missions. I had trouble with likability (something I usually max out within 2-3 days of getting a new unit), I was afraid to level up characters and their skills, I wasn't promoting anyone, I wasn't doing anything because I was so afraid I would screw myself by playing the game.
That's why I think Nightmare Pass kind of sucks the most. I felt like I was being punished for having played the game up until this point. Some missions were, as you said, fine. Any missions involving pleasing someone in the Secret Club were fine (not the unholy board because some of those I had maxed out already and it was pain to advance them more). Any missions where I had to fight were good. That I can always do. But missions that have finite end points are terrible (there is a max number of levels characters can have, a max amount of promotions I can do, only so far I can go on an unholy board, likability stops at 100%, characters can only evolve 5 times before they are maxed). Those missions suck because I can screw myself by actually having invested the time into the game before the Nightmare Pass is even out. It actually sucked to basically stop playing this game because I was afraid to play and screw myself out of getting Gabriel.
And the missions are kind of sucky too. Because each stage only unlocks after the previous one is completed, it's hard to know what is coming up and easy to screw yourself. Not everyone has 20ST available multiple times. Not everyone hoards their keys to do the multiple draws over and over again. And having 25 stages that can only be unlocked once daily rather than continuously (since the one mission on each day is to login) it means that if you miss a few days, you are screwed. You can pay to unlock the path with Nightmare Coins, but that assumes you have enough (and each reward gets more expensive as you go).
Overall, Nightmare Pass feels like the kind of event that is aimed toward people who dedicate time to the game to complete the rewards, but those same people can easily get screwed if they put in all that effort too early. The nightmare Pass isn't terrible, but it definitely needs some tweaking. It's the kind of event I would only continue in the future if I really want the card/haven't invested so much I screw myself. Honestly, it feels like the kind of event you finish and only debate purchasing the other rewards after you see how far you've managed to get to see if you can justify the expense.
Also, never feel like you can't rant to me. I rant all the time. Goodness knows I rant all the time... I don't do it because I hate the game. It's me trying to point out issues for others and because I want to see things changed for the better.

Bitcoin vs. Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs): A Comparative Analysis
Tumblr media
In recent years, the rise of cryptocurrencies has prompted significant discussions about the future of money and the global financial system. Among the most prominent of these digital assets is Bitcoin, a decentralized currency that has captured the imagination of many. In parallel, governments around the world are exploring Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) as a way to modernize their financial systems and regain control. This blog post aims to compare Bitcoin and CBDCs, highlighting their key differences and potential impacts on the financial landscape.
Bitcoin, created in 2009 by an anonymous entity known as Satoshi Nakamoto, is a decentralized digital currency. Unlike traditional currencies, Bitcoin operates on a peer-to-peer network, allowing users to transact directly without the need for intermediaries like banks. Key features of Bitcoin include its limited supply of 21 million coins, its secure and transparent blockchain technology, and its potential to serve as a hedge against inflation.
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) are digital versions of fiat currencies issued by central banks. Unlike Bitcoin, CBDCs are centralized and controlled by governments. Examples of CBDCs currently in development include the Digital Yuan in China and the Digital Euro in the European Union. CBDCs aim to provide the convenience of digital payments while maintaining the stability and trust associated with traditional currencies. They also represent a strategic effort by governments to regain control of the money supply in response to the growing influence of decentralized cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
One of the most striking differences between Bitcoin and CBDCs is the issue of control and centralization. Bitcoin operates on a decentralized, peer-to-peer network, meaning no single entity has control over the system. This decentralization is a fundamental principle of Bitcoin, ensuring that it remains free from government interference. On the other hand, CBDCs are centralized and controlled by governments or central banks. This centralization allows for more direct control over the currency but also introduces the risk of governmental overreach and surveillance. It is, in many ways, a last-ditch effort by governments to regain control of the monetary system before Bitcoin and other decentralized currencies potentially dominate.
Another crucial difference lies in the supply and inflation mechanisms. Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million coins, which makes it inherently deflationary. This limited supply is designed to prevent inflation and preserve the value of the currency over time. In contrast, CBDCs can have an unlimited supply, much like traditional fiat currencies. The supply of CBDCs can be adjusted according to monetary policy, which may lead to inflationary pressures. This fundamental difference highlights Bitcoin's role as a store of value and hedge against inflation, compared to CBDCs' role in facilitating monetary policy.
Privacy and transparency are also key differentiators between Bitcoin and CBDCs. Bitcoin transactions are pseudonymous, meaning that while the transaction details are publicly available on the blockchain, the identities of the users are not directly tied to their Bitcoin addresses. This provides a level of privacy while maintaining transparency. Conversely, CBDCs are likely to have more surveillance and control by authorities, potentially compromising user privacy. Governments may track transactions to prevent illegal activities, but this could also lead to concerns about privacy and civil liberties.
When it comes to innovation and flexibility, Bitcoin stands out due to its open-source and community-driven nature. This allows for continuous innovation and adaptation, with the Bitcoin community actively developing and implementing new features and improvements. On the other hand, CBDCs are government-led initiatives, which may result in slower innovation due to bureaucratic processes and the need for regulatory compliance. This distinction underscores the dynamic and evolving nature of Bitcoin compared to the more controlled and regulated approach of CBDCs.
The potential impacts of Bitcoin and CBDCs on the financial system are profound and multifaceted. Bitcoin has the potential to provide financial services to the unbanked and underbanked populations worldwide. By allowing anyone with an internet connection to access financial services, Bitcoin can promote financial inclusion. CBDCs, meanwhile, can streamline government payments and services, making it easier for citizens to receive benefits and pay taxes. However, the success of CBDCs in promoting financial inclusion will depend on their design and implementation.
Economic stability is another area where Bitcoin and CBDCs have different roles. Bitcoin is often viewed as a hedge against inflation and economic instability. Its limited supply and decentralized nature make it an attractive option for those seeking to protect their wealth from the devaluation of fiat currencies. CBDCs, on the other hand, can enhance monetary policy and financial stability by providing central banks with new tools to manage the economy. However, the introduction of CBDCs also poses risks, such as potential cybersecurity threats and the need for robust regulatory frameworks.
Adoption and acceptance are critical challenges for both Bitcoin and CBDCs. Bitcoin faces challenges in achieving widespread acceptance and overcoming regulatory hurdles. Governments and financial institutions may be resistant to its adoption due to its decentralized nature. CBDCs also face challenges in implementation and public trust. Ensuring that CBDCs are secure, reliable, and user-friendly will be crucial for their success.
Technological and security concerns are significant considerations for both Bitcoin and CBDCs. Bitcoin's network is secure, but it requires significant energy consumption. Addressing the environmental impact of Bitcoin mining is an ongoing challenge. CBDCs must address cybersecurity risks and the potential for central points of failure. Ensuring the resilience and security of CBDC systems will be critical.
Bitcoin and CBDCs represent two different visions for the future of money. While Bitcoin offers a decentralized, deflationary alternative to traditional currencies, CBDCs aim to modernize the existing financial system with government-backed digital money. Both have their advantages and challenges, and their coexistence will shape the future of the global financial landscape. As these technologies continue to evolve, staying informed and understanding their implications will be essential for navigating the changing world of finance.
