COREY REDESIGN IS DONE! He has burns on the right half of his body from the Enclave and some on his face. He started covering up his nose and mouth because his nose resembled a ghoul’s. Turned his old hat from grey to brown. Gap tooth and amber eyes are still there from the old design but lost his glasses. He also has a small eyebot following him around. He found it in a dumpster deactivated and decided to fix it up. It functions like the Radio setting of his pipboy and picks up signals. It’s missing quite a few wires and rods but it still works like a charm and he’s named it Grady. He has a brahmin belt and a simple cropped shirt with worn jeans. Hes tattooed 111 on his arm to remember why he keeps going everyday, he lives restore the commonwealth. He’s apart of the minute men and the brotherhood and is dating danse. He loathes Maxson. He is best friends with Hancock and piper. The perks he has make him one of the best gunslingers of the wasteland and his pistol is named Alan. ( Alan Jackson )

TFSP Re-Translation Progress: Aki (5D's Stories: 2/5 Done)

DING, finished re-translating Aki's TFSP story events! Worked on it over a couple evenings and this weekend, and it does feel like a hint of the Arcadia Movement arc we should've gotten in-show that gives that part of her some more closure; finding out that the Arcadia Movement is still around and using kids in distress (from the old Satellite, as revealed later) as their pawns, Aki sets out to put an end to them once and for all, only to come up against Divine being the one trying to get her to rejoin.

Also thought this was a good exchange as Yusei jumps in and acknowledges how much she's grown (I can hear "Hopeless Battle" faintly in the background):

(It is wild how often I bump up against the original story "translation" maybe trying in a few places but then completely missing the mark on things most everywhere else and making things up [and needlessly worse in spots] to get the card game side of things out there--but then again, maybe Aki saying "I'm going to fucking destroy you" to Divine instead of "I'm here to put an end to the Arcadia Movement" is a good thing)

Now, to give her in-duel lines (which I roughly worked on to include some in the announcement video I did) another look-through, and then she should be good to go; once I do that, I'll likely start more work on my finalized GX 111-112 subs, so stay tuned!

Fo4 Fanfiction Update + Wip

I finally have a few things written down! I'm going to plan 30 minutes to an hour each night to work on my Fo4 fanfiction, so I'll be able to get things to y'all soon!

First of all, the title for now is "Metal Lineage". However, this can and will most likely change. But I do know that I want to title to be thematic to both Vault-tec and the Brotherhood of Steel since Bridget is our main protagonist.

Next, I'm going to share a small wip of the first chapter, under the cut!

Wip summary: A bit of Bridget's pre-war beginning, in the vault.

She replied as confidently as she could, “Bridget Porter.” Either she was on that list, or she wasn’t going to be getting onto the overlook the easy way. After a few seconds, however, the guard looked up and stepped aside.

“You’re free to go. The security will let you into the vault, and you’ll be given a tour of your new home,” he stated, showing her to the guard she was supposed to go to. She followed, followed the guard onto the platform, and descended down into the vault. As they got to the bottom, they were greeted by whom she could assume was in charge. 

He greeted her with open arms, even with him holding a clipboard.

“Ah! Welcome to Vault 111! I’m so pleased so many are coming for a tour of our wonderful new community. I’m the Overseer of this vault, and it is my duty to make sure that this all goes smoothly in case we are in the happenstance that the bombs go off. Please, if you could walk up the stairs so we can get you checked in for the tour!”

She followed his instructions, deciding to play along. This trip was seeming to be even more of a headache than she had hoped for and she just wanted to get it over with. The employee who was checking her in, however, wasn’t treating her like she was being given a tour. No, she was being treated as though she was moving in right now. She was given the vault suit and she was told to follow the doctor for the rest of the tour.

“Alright, follow me. You’ll love it here, Vault 111 is actually one of our most advanced facilities!” He explained as he walked her down to a side room, stopping right at the door. 

“I’m sorry, I thought this was a tour? Why was I given a suit as if I was going to be moving in immediately?” Bridget asked the doctor, trying to get the reasoning as to why this was happening. The doctor just looked at her and smiled.

“Well, that’s because anyone who comes here for a tour typically moves in as soon as the tour ends! It’s a paradise down here, and people just can’t wait to start their life here. We just give you the suit ahead of time if you decide to do so at the end of the tour. We also do this so we can make sure that the suit fits you so that when you do have to come here, we’ll have one ready for you!”

Bridget just nodded and hummed along as the doctor led her into the room. He mentioned how this vault would have some of the most advanced medical facilities out of all the vaults, and about how she would be in great hands. They stopped in front of a pod, which Bridget took note of what pod it was. Pod B3, one of the pods in the middle, right in the row by the door to the hallway.

This pod will decompress and decontaminate you, which will help everyone get settled into the vault. Less likely for everyone to get sick immediately this way!” He laughed before continuing, “Just make sure to put your vault suit on before you step into the pod.”

Bridget agreed, opened up the vault suit, and got suited up. Once she was in her vault suit, ensuring it fit, she stepped into the pod. As the pod door closed, she heard the doctor mention how this will only take a few minutes before the pod froze over. She watched the doctor walk off, before her vision faded to black.

Last night I was able to play with him successfully for a whole 20-25 minutes without issue, but today, he only got through about 5 minutes of playtime, and then declared he was overheating and shut off. Thing is, his battery and back vent felt normal temperature, but his fan had been gunning pretty hard for a bit— however, fans on 111s fluctuate depending on what they're doing. He'd been sprinting full pelt, so it makes sense.

Robotcenter have suggested it may have been a false positive; it may have been caused by either dust build-up inside his systems, or his dust filter. The dust filter on 111s is a simple piece of foam that "dies" after 25 years, and becomes crackly and brittle. He may have started inhaling particles of dust or his dust filter, and his systems shut off to protect themselves after thinking it was overheat condition.

I'll be cleaning his chest vent and back fan out at some point, then trying running him again, and will update.

For most people, the suffering in Gaza might feel like a distant nightmare.

For us, it’s heartbreakingly close to home.

Over the past seven months of writing these stories, we’ve come to know the people behind them—not just as names or fundraisers, but as people. Real human beings, with hopes, dreams, and aspirations, who are truly suffering.

Real people, whose cries for help are being ignored by a cold and unfeeling world.

While we helplessly watch as the world's first livestreamed genocide unfolds in real time in our phone screens, we check our messages every morning with a mix of dread and hope, praying that the people who we've come to see as friends have survived another long, dark night.

This morning, we heard from Hossam Al-Qazzaz.

Image: We received another update from Hossam this morning, detailing the nightmarish conditions his family is living in while the area they are trapped in is being indiscriminately bombed.

Hossam, his wife Hanan, and their four children—Bashar (9 years), Hani (8 years), Diana (4 years), and Habiba (9 months)—are currently trapped in an area now dangerously close to evacuation zones that are being actively bombed.

Images: Hossam shared the most recent evacuation warning given to the people in the area he and his family are living in. The Al-Qazzaz family is currently in block 111, and the bombings are only getting closer to them.

A few days ago, Hossam messaged us just after a missile strike, telling us he was going to bravely help transport wounded civilians who were calling out for help from the darkness. Today, he wrote again:

“We are fine my friend, but the bombing does not stop at all and it is everywhere. Many, many of our neighbors have been martyred. We have become afraid to leave our place except for extreme necessity.”

Can you imagine raising small children in that kind of fear? Trying to survive when every trip outside could mean death? The family has already survived long nights of bombing, where they didn’t think they’d see the morning. Now, they are holding out in a rapidly shrinking safe zone, surrounded on all sides by loss.

...so all this time, I've been applying fixes to card errors for my finalized GX subs often using a combination of AfterEffects and Sony Vegas with scenes involving movement like zooms or panning along the screen... manually keyframing zooms or pans in Vegas after Power-Pinning a card proxy into place in AE...

...when I could've been using Track Motion in AE to wipe out 95% of the work?? Leaving just spot-checking here/there to see how it came out??? How did I only just get the hang of that lmao
