Some things I think people are overlooking in the tiktok ban bill, because it's not just a tiktok ban:
It gives the US government the ability to ban *any* app, website, or company they believe to be "controlled" by an "adversarial power" which can change whenever they want
It allows the President and the Administrative branch almost unilateral power to designate *any* app, website, or company to be under the control of an "adversarial power" (and just think about how that can be used un the hands of, say, Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis)
They have to offer little to no evidence for this. For example, tiktok - a Singaporean-headquartered and ran company, partially owned by US interests, incorporated in the Cayman Islands, and whose userdata is stored Austin, TX - is apparently controlled by the Chinese government
It also gives the Federal Government the ability to investigate and shut down any provider who gives access to these banned websites or services, including VPN. They will have unilateral power to dismantle VPNs through outrageous fines what will essentially force them to not operate in the US
A lot of the Congressional Representatives who supported this bill have large donors and/or stock in US Tech companies like Meta, Google, or Palantier who would benefit from the downfall of tiktok or the ability to purchase it and monopolize the market
Those same tech companies which sell our data constantly anyway, including to "adversarial powers"
This is so much more than just a tiktok ban.

i've asked about this a few times now but not since before al-aqsa flood, so: what's the vibe on vpn services which have servers in israel? you can't realistically "boycott" them unless you boycott all big vpns, and i think the benefits of having a vpn outweigh the benefits of boycotting every single vpn service with israeli servers, but i do wonder if the israeli economy meaningfully benefits from people having servers in israel anyway. ig they'd be paying bills to israeli companies and paying for israeli internet? but like esims for gaza is also probably paying israeli telecom companies right? so it's not something that's completely verboten under bds?
if vpn services having israeli servers meaningfully benefits the israeli economy, what even is the viability of a campaign for them to divest? considering we'd be campaigning against every popular international vpn company when a lot of ppl in the bds movement probably don't even use vpns or care about them?
i guess that probably points to vpn companies not being a strategic target right? idk, it's just something that's been nagging me for years since i tried looking into a vpn service to buy that A. i trusted to not give my data to the government and B. didn't have servers in israel lol. i know there are also some vpn services that only have their vpn servers in one country that isnt israel, ig i might look into those if it starts bothering me too much, im just used to the vpn services that offer servers in dozens of countries

Imperial Grace FAQ
When will the game be out?
Hopefully, early 2025, we will communicate an official date when we have more visibility. At the moment (16/08/2024) the full script is written, but we are still missing some key arts (all the CG, 5 sprites, and some MC customization), and a portion of the script still needs to be properly edited and translated.
I want to smooch the Master of Murmurs 🙏
Thanks to our generous backers, the MM will get a proper romance DLC after the game release, so you just have to be patient <3
I want to smooch another character 🙏
Unfortunately, it’s not possible; we do not have the time and resources, but that’s why fanfic and fanart exist, and they are always welcomed. 😉 (You can see more about our fan content policy.)
Is there any DLC plan for the game?
On top of the MM romance DLC, we plan on doing a marriage DLC (with a standalone storyline for each love interest) and a short prequel telling the story of Mellissandre of Terinfel. Both have been funded on Kickstarter, but I have no dates to give you yet.
How much the game will cost?
The final price is not completely set yet, but it will be somewhere between 20€ and 30€. 💸 After careful thought, I also decided I will do proper regional pricing. 🎉 I was dubious because I know a lot of people are abusing the system with VPN but I don't want to punish the people who actually benefit from it. 💖
On which platform will the game be available?
The game will be available on Steam, GOG, and Itchi.io; at the moment, we are working hard to make it completely Steamdeck compatible! At the moment, a switch port is not possible but not excluded; if the game does well enough, we might be able to get a special partnership for this.
A mobile port is not on the pipe either, as it would require a full UI overhaul and regular updates to comply with stores, and our economic model is not appropriate for the mobile market.
In which language will the game be available?
The game will be available in French and English on release day. At the moment, we do not have the budget to translate the full game into another language but we are looking for solutions to allow the most people possible to enjoy the game.
Where can I follow you?
The most reliable platform for news is Discord as I am very active on it. We also have a mailing list (with exclusive gifts upon joining!) and a twitter account.
What is the game rating?
The game doesn’t have official ratings (that cost money), but considering the mature themes in it, I would say 17+. Imperial Grace includes verbal (but not visual) descriptions of violence and consensual sex.
The game, especially through the petitions, also alludes to topics that may be sensitive, such as arranged marriage or suicide. The list of full trigger warnings is available on steam (beware spoilers). It might be subject to change depending on the petitions we include or not in the final game, I want to make sure that every sensitive topic is treated with care and really brings something to the story or denounces a social problem close to our hearts.
Sexy time, you say? 👀
The game features plenty of hot kisses and two optional sex scenes; they can be stopped (in game choices) and not happen at all or censored (fade to black). The text is explicit (anatomical parts are mentioned; it’s not all metaphor, but there is no vulgar words either.), and some suggestive but not pornographic images illustrate them. In other words, even the uncensored version of the sexy time will be safe enough to be streamed on Twitch but more steamy than what we usually find in otome games!
Is the MC customizable?
MC physical appearance is customizable to some extent: you can choose her skin color, her hairstyle, her eye colors (heterochromia possible!), and minor details like moles. The skin color options are not just recolors; the features are actually slightly different to reflect different ethnicities and bring more variety.
All customisation will be reflected in CG, except hairstyle (you can learn the difference between hairstyle and hair type on this post.)
Tumblr media
What do you mean by “meaningful choices”?
Imperial Grace has over 200 choices during the main storyline; contrary to traditional Japanese otome game where there is usually a “good” and “bad” option for each choice leading to the best/good/bad ending, we have a more Dragon Age-like approach where most of the options are valid just entails different consequences to shape a more custom epilogue with tons of little variation to reflect your decision as Empress. (And there is instant game overs when you take very very bad decision :p)
You have more questions? Our ask box is always open! <3

there isn't an intermission but there is a midway point ad break where one lucky audience member will win a fantastic corporate giveaway from exciting possibilities such as a nord vpn lanyard or a dragon city pen where if it's pointing up flame susan has her regular skin and if you flip it the other way she has her dan and phil games skin
oh I just KNOW that goddamned pen would be up on Ebay 3.5 days later with a price tag of $100+, it would become a massive meme that even dnp acknowledge
and who benefits? Dragon city, sitting in the corner, counting it's money. and it's pens

BLs currently On Air
A brief description of the BLs currently on air and my thoughts, in alphabetical order. I will try to keep this updated (May 4th). Contains spoilers!
🇯🇵 At 25:00 in Akasaka | episodes 3/10 on Gagaoolala
Tumblr media
Shirasaki is cast in his first main acting role, a BL with his fellow University classmate Hayama, now a big star. He soon finds himself confused and conflicted as he struggles to keep his emotions towards Hayama contained on screen.
Watching the first two episodes I wasn't sure if I would love these two. Shirasaki began as the typical awkward and terrified jbl character that's never had a relationship. Hayama was almost watching him from a distance. By episode 3 these two really begin to get comfortable with one another. I have high hopes with 7 episodes still to go.
🇰🇷 Be Brave Boys! | episodes 4/8 Rakuten Vikki
Tumblr media
Jin woo has a crush on Ki Sub and has managed to keep it a secret until they live together.
I'm really conflicted about this series. There are parts of it Ilike and I don't know if it's the dodgy subtitles but some of the dialogue is confusing. Why can't the main couple just be honest with each other? I will keep watching as I'm curious and I like the second couple.
🇰🇷 Blue Boys | episodes 3/4 on SukFilm YouTube
Tumblr media
Two friends from high school meet again as adults and get together. However there is a misunderstanding between them that threatens their relationship.
The episodes are short but these boys make those 10 minutes worth it. They have great chemistry, fantastic kissing and come accross very natural together.
🇰🇷 City Boy Log | on cityboy_log YouTube
Tumblr media
Vlog style scripted BL following idols Jaejun and Jihan.
I still love this chaotic duo and watching them in their boyfriend era. It's nice to have them back. Great chemistry and realistic acting.
🇯🇵 Living With Him | episodes 4/8 on Gagaoolala
Tumblr media
Ryota moves out for the first time and shares his apartment with his childhood friend Kazuhito. Their relationship develops as they begin to care more about each other.
If you want to watch something that is cute and honest then this one is for you. These boys are refreshing to watch as there is no messing around, no pointless side plots; it's just two childhood friends developing feelings for one another.
🇹🇭 My Stand In | episodes 2/12 on iQIYI
Tumblr media
Joe, a stuntman for a famous actor called Tong, meets Ming by chance. The two have a deep relationship but what Joe doesn't realise is that he is a replacement for Tong, who Ming has feelings for. Joe is involved in accident and wakes up in another body, a man also named Joe. Joe meets Ming again.
This series won't be for everyone, especially if red flag characters and toxic relationships are not your thing. I'm enjoying it so far. I can't wait to watch Ming realise what he has lost and for Joe to make him work for that forgiveness.
🇹🇭 Wandee Good Day | episodes 1/12 on GMMTV
Tumblr media
Drunk with a broken heart Dr. Wandee goes from darling to daring, entangling himself with Muay Thai fighter Yoyak. A one-night stand somehow turns into friends with benefits. However feelings begin to develop that neither will dare to accept.
The male leads are gorgeous with great chemistry. Are there cringe scenes? Most definitely, but it works with this series. I love their characters especially Dr Wanadee, and I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress. I'm a little annoyed we had all that spicyness and no kissing yet.
Not Currently Watching (On Air)
🇹🇭 We Are | episodes 5/12 on GMMTV
🇹🇭 Love Is Like A Cat | episodes 10/12 on Rakuten Viki
🇹🇭 Two Worlds | episodes 8/10 on iQIYI
🇹🇭 City Of Stars | episodes 12/12 on iQIYI
🇹🇭 Only Boo | episodes 4/12 on GMMTV
🇨🇳 Inverse Identity | episodes 2/9 on PPeach app
🇨🇳 The Spirealm | episodes 38/38 on Rakuten Viki
Just Finished
🇹🇼 Unknown | episodes 12/12 on YouKu
🇹🇭 To Be Continued | episodes 8/8 on Netflix (vpn)
🇰🇷 Grey Shelter | episodes 5/5 on iQIYI
🇹🇭 Deep Night | episodes 8/8 on iQIYI

(not the former torrent anon) do you use a vpn for torrenting? if yes, which one? im a bit afraid to torrenting without one, am i just being too paranoid? all the reddit threads etc say that a vpn is highly recommended
Hi, if you should use a vpn or not very much depends on your country. In Spain the consumption of pirated content and seeding of torrents with pirated content is not really punished for individual people, at most your ISP might temporarily block some sites but you can use mirrors and they aren't that thorough. Also, spanish law seems to and is mostly interpreted to only punish the distribution and consumption of pirated content if you gain economic benefit from it or if you're the person directly pirating the content, like removing DRMs from videogames or ripping a movie off Netflix.
The reason people on reddit insist so much on VPNs is because they are hegemonically USA, where the mere downloading of pirated content can make the ISP shut off your internet, and you can be fined. In this cases VPNs are useful because the ISP can't (or not as easily) see what you're downloading exactly, and you also protect your IP adress from trackers or honeypots, but if you're downloading from 1336x or yts or one of those sorts of sites there is no real danger as long as you're not extremely stupid.
If you're in the USA, you should get a VPN. If you're in a country that's not part of the US imperial hegemony, like Russia or Argentina, you can probably get away with not using a VPN without worrying about legal action. If you are in a country that would respect US IP law (which let's be honest is where most copyrighted content that can land you a fine comes from) it really depends on your situation. I'm lucky Spain isn't heavy handed, but Germany I've heard can be quite aggressive.
Regardless of all of this you should always without exception get an adblocker, I can't recommend uBlock Origin enough. It is very complete out of the box and does not fails where others do. For example, Adblock Plus (ABP) does not by default block those links that redirect you to an ad website but if you click again then it sometimes takes you to the actual place. If you use uBlock, I would also add an additional blocklist, I personally use oisd big. To add it, go to ublock settings, and the My Filters tab, then just paste the raw text into it, and save

Do you think it’s racist to ban TikTok? There is a vague bill like the Patriot act called Resist act that will give the National Security orwellian parts of the government, the ability to ban any foreign company seen as bad. And some parts of the bill are vague enough where they could become abused. And the bill could be used to ban VPNs.
to be clear, I don't like tiktok and I don't use it. HOWEVER:
I think that the panic about tiktok and subsequent attempt to ban it result in part from rising anti-chinese sentiment
people are more worried about tiktok than other social media sites because the company is chinese, even though domestic companies are more capable of being a threat to personal freedoms, because it is your own government that has the power to directly limit your rights due to accessing your data from social media companies.
for example, using social media data to prove someone had an illegal abortionin the states. the risk of that is far higher with domestic (american) social media companies, because they are more likely to collaborate with the american government. if you live in the states, twitter can exploit your personal information more than tiktok can
a lot of people see tiktok as the face of china and the people who live there. politicians and the media in both the usa and canada are stoking the flames of sinophobia, leading people to fear and reject anything that they can associate with china (I'm not trying to take away individual responsibility for sinophobia by referencing politicians and the media- people are still accountable for their bigotry)
the government likes to have an enemy. propaganda relies on identifying an enemy and working people into a frenzy over a caricature of the so-called enemy. this works especially well if the "enemy" is already marginalized
right now the government, media, and ruling class in canada and the united states have identified china and the chinese people as the enemy. they can and will stoke sinophobia, increase military funding, pass bills and sanctions targeting chinese people, and more. they have their scapegoat and they will use sinophobia to their benefit as they see fit
about what you said regarding the vagueness of the bill in the states, it seems that it is vague on purpose:
the government can use it to ban social media sites that compete with american social media sites, increasing the profit of the american ones. they likely will do this on some scale, considering the benefit to their corporate donors
it also can be used to limit what people in the usa have access to online. whether that be communicating with people from other cultures, or accessing foreign news media. I don't think I have to explain why that's dangerous.

Speaking of advertising in 2015 I worked at a tech startup advertising startup that used cookies (digital ones) to track individuals (doesn’t matter if you used a VPN) and they had a way to “inject” ads right into videos bypassing adblockers. It was very creepy tbh. The company was bought by Google and we all got two years of pay before being let go. I honestly hate it. So yes. Advertising executives are scum.
It has changed a lot over the past decade, but there used to be a perception that tech companies were generally progressive and for the benefit of their users. Google used to have “don’t be evil” as the core of their employee code of conduct but they officially dropped that in 2018 (which coincidentally was the same year that GDPR became enforceable and gave people in EU countries some decent rights for privacy).
In the United States we just don’t have equivalent federal legislation to protect citizens (California, Virginia, and Colorado do have some state-level protections).
the bottom line is that tech companies are owned and operated by extremely wealthy individuals who have a vested interest in being able to profit though digital tracking and advertising.
We’re entering the 4th era of digital surveillance:
1st era was IP address tracking (VPNs provided protection for this)
2nd era was cookies and ‘super cookies’ (a range of techniques that serve the same purpose as cookies but are harder to clear from your browser)
3rd era is fingerprinting - possible since 2005 but I think became common in practice only since ~2015 and is a method which uses a bunch of metadata and pinpoints you as an individual based on your unique set of attributes.
I think that a lot of people are still under the misconception that using Chrome incognito mode gives you some privacy
Google's Chrome browser does not provide protection against trackers or fingerprinters in Incognito Mode.
4th era is coming soon and enabled by similar technology that enable LLM and will be able to identify you by the unique way you interact with technology (e.g. the style/tone of my writing in this post has characteristics that are unique to me, and also very hard for me to avoid!).
the 4th era for me is horrifying- imagine your employer being able to take a sample of your writing (from emails or company chat) and be able to identify content you’ve posted online that you thought you were posting anonymously?
btw, if anyone is curious about seeing where you stand in terms of digital fingerprinting here are some online tools you can use to get an idea - both are free, no login/signup and take just a few seconds to run:

the arthuriana essays you share on here are always so interesting and well-researched! are there specific places you go to look for them or do they just kind of find you over time?
Hi anon! This is a complex answer. Research is never simple lol obligatory disclaimer I'm just some random enthusiast and in no way an academic, this is just how I go about it.
I find essays in a variety of places. JSTOR is where most of the stand-alone essays came from (IE; not otherwise published in a book, sometimes in journals I cannot find). I’ve been very fortunate to have friends lend me their college bypass so I could download from there, as I would be unable to access them otherwise.
Sometimes, while reading books, like The Friend by Alan Bray, there will be a reference to an influential essay or article, such as Faithful Unto Death, which describes the joint tomb of Sir John Clanvowe and Sir William Neville. For that paper, a friend had to request it from their own institution, wait for it, and then give it to me. I'd been staring longingly at it for literally years but couldn't justify paying the $30+ asking price for a PDF. I was lucky, once again, to have help.
Another way to find these academic resources is by reading the footnotes or bibliography in the back of books and tracing the source of individual essays or articles back to a bigger collection contributed by a variety of authors contained in a single volume (like A Companion to Malory I shared a few days ago). I learned about Alan Bray specifically because other essayists kept referencing his work! From there, I sought him out. The same has happened as I delved into Zoroastrian studies. The literature there is limited (at least in the English language, as I cannot read Persian or Hindi). So I found myself researching in a circle, following the trail of names until I ran out of scholars and they just referenced each other's work back and forth. I had consumed the entire body of [English] literature on the subject, so I knew I had come to collect the same resources as these essayists and historians had! Once you start going, "Hey, it's my friend [scholar] again!" you know you're in deep haha!
Much the same has happened with Arthurian legend. Norris J Lacy, known for his work as head editor of the translation team that tackled the Vulgate, is everywhere. He's the editor of countless textbooks, translator of medieval poems and prose, and even wrote his own retelling, A Camelot Triptych. Once you find someone in a field of interest that pops up a lot, you can begin searching for relevant resources through their name, rather than relying on blindly sifting through thousands of papers tagged "King Arthur".
Essayists don't make any money on this stuff. Institutions even charge people to publish their work. It's perfectly acceptable to obtain that knowledge however necessary. If you don't have college access yourself nor a friend who can help, there are websites to pirate from. (Please use a VPN to protect yourself.) Some websites are specific to the field, like science, which isn't my expertise, so I can't offer guidance there. But I've had luck on annas-archive.
It can be easy to assume everyone has the same opportunities, that a screenshot or link to JSTOR is sufficient for someone to access the same information mentioned in a post. It's tough when tumblr doesn't let you upload a PDF! It makes sharing resources difficult. One could dedicate money and cloud space to it (like I do with Google and MEGA drive) or upload it to a discord server where it can't breach containment and reaches only a limited audience. It's not ideal! And it's no individual's responsibility to tackle the problems with academia and gatekeeping, of course, but my goal is to source as much of what I discuss as I possibly can, as well as share those resources with anyone who could benefit from them. A librarian basically lol so I'm glad the essays I've shared have been beneficial to you!

How To Watch Professional Wrestling (2023)
Hello people of earth, Jupiter, and wrestling Tumblr! I’ve seen many posts here asking about where to watch professional wrestling. After a few weeks of research and speaking with my buddies who work for various television networks, and those who navigate the interwebs, I have compiled a list on where you can watch your favorite wrestlers without breaking the bank in this economy!
I’ll first talk about the legal ways.
WWE (for those in the states)
-For those in the states, to watch WWE live, you can get traditional cable, satellite or a streaming service with live tv that includes the USA network. (Fox is a free channel so every live tv service has Fox). I would suggest Youtube TV b/c you get a lot of bang for your buck, but it can be expensive if you do not watch a lot of channels. The other alternative is sling tv, which if I remember is much cheaper than YTTV (about $40).
-Regular Hulu offers Raw and Smackdown, but it’s available next day.
-The other place you can get your WWE content is Peacock, though the problem is there is no live content and the episodes are uploaded after a month. Peacock is only useful for PLEs and to watch the back catalog of WWE ($5.99/month).
-There is an option to livestream the USA Network on their app and website HOWEVER, you do need a TV provider to access so it defeats the purpose.
*What I will say is this option is useful for those who live in the West, have cable/streaming service and want to watch Raw live.
WWE (International)
-Most countries have the WWE Network but it is very similar to Peacock in that there is no live content
* This is b/c of broadcasting rights with other stations that stops WWE from putting Raw and Smackdown up straight away like the PPVs
-WWE also has deals with broadcasting channels around the world, but they more or less work similarly to Peacock.
SO, for the U.S folks, the best way to watch WWE legally and for cheap would be to purchase Sling TV and Peacock to get the full experience that will run you ~$45-55/month.
International folks would benefit from getting a VPN and doing the same (Sling + Peacock)
….
AEW (stateside)
-Again the best way to watch AEW is cable/live TV. The best options here would be Youtube TV and Sling.
-There is a TBS app, but like the USA Network app, you need a subscription to cable/live tv, and honestly the app lags and is very faulty. Would not recommend.
-For PPVs, you can purchase from traditional cable providers/satellite ($50/PPV)
-The other one is Bleacher Report (Ditto).
-You can also watch at certain Bar/Restaurants and Movie Theaters which could be a cheaper alternative to buying the PPV, though not every place in the U.S offers this, so make sure you check with your local Dave & Busters, Tom’s Watch Bar, and movie theaters.
(AEW International)
-Now we are in murky waters as AEW has given the rights to a few apps for different parts of the world (besides watching it by cable)
-Canada has TSN, Latin America is getting stuck with ViX, others have DAZN, and the rest are still on Fite TV.
-All these options have faults. TSN is expensive with cable and if you want to watch Collision you need the TSN app and that’s expensive as well.
-ViX, while the cheapest option of all mentioned, is a joke of an app. Those that have used it reported it’s difficult to find AEW on the app. You HAVE to watch it live as there is no VOD, no back catalog, and the commentary is only in Spanish. There is also no PiP, in fact they don’t even air the fight when they throw to commercial, it just goes to a “we’ll be right back screen”.
-DAZN is expensive, misses shows, starts late, and is buggy. It’s also inflated with commercials before, after and in the middle of the show and the video quality is garbage.
-For anyone with Fite, you get the live stream but you have to wait 30 days for the VOD. Though you do have access to the back catalog.
*This is due to AEW’s deals with the streaming platforms above.
-Fite UK really is the old faithful as you can pay for AEW+ to watch live, get  VOD next day, have access to the back catalog and no PiP.
-PPVs can be purchased and watched through traditional satellite/cable provider
-YouTube (Canada, Mexico, Germany, Italy, France, UK, South Korea)
-PPV.com (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK and Ireland)
-SKY Germany
-SKY Italia
-DAZN (UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Mexico, Brazil, France, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Poland, Portugal, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Bulgaria)
-You can also buy through Fite (pretty much anyone)
Ok, so now you have all this info but you still don’t know what’s best for you? I would say if you want to watch both WWE + AEW, go with the live TV option. If you just want AEW, get yourself a VPN and go with Fite UK. This applies to Americans and International folks!
For PPV, the best option is Fite as when you purchase it, you have it for life and can replay it as much as you want. You also have the luxury of being able to watch on 2 devices simultaneously, so if you can’t fork out the money for a PPV, perhaps buddy up with someone, pay half and watch together on separate devices.
-PPVs on UK fite are £13.99 each (about $16 American) and fite NZ are $20 American.
*If you cannot afford a VPN, the two free VPNs I recommend are Proton VPN and Urban VPN.
OK so now you have the legal ways of watching wrestling, but now you’re probably saying, “but Jei! This is great and all, but I don’t have money!”. Well my friend, this is where I give you a lifejacket and show you how to navigate the deep waters of the interwebs, and by the time you finish reading this, you will know how to be a damn great pirate!
-What you will DEFINITELY need is a good ad blocker
-International folks, use a VPN that can connect to a US server.
Websites that have live streams, back catalog, PPVs, and wrestling from many promotions:
- Wrestling Network
- Wrestling Live
- PWrestling
- Watch Wrestling
- All Wrestling
- Watch Wrestling 24
- Watch Wrestling Up
*a lot of these have pesky ads you have to deal with and sometimes streams break in between, but since it’s free… Well, beggars can’t be choosers. Some will ask you to sign up, they are not asking for money, but if you are not comfortable sharing info, choose another site.
-Also while searching some of these sites, I came across a list from a website called Techlazy, and a person named Nagama Ansari compiled a list with more sites and gives an overview on sites I mentioned and others. I’ll link it here.
Well folks, if you made it this far, congratulations on successfully being able to navigate legal and pirated waters. In all seriousness, if you made it this far, I want to thank you for finding this helpful. I recently came back into the wrestling fold and the people in this community have been nothing but positive and friendly both in person and in real life. The best way I can give back to all of you is by using my knowledge working in television and journalism as well as using my network to help make it easier for all of you to enjoy what we love without worrying about paying a fortune to watch what you want.
Also, I am one of thousands of people getting screwed over by television monopolies and streaming services, so this is my petty way to get back at them!

Tumblr media
Q&A:
How do you sign up/access sites that require JP address and phone number? A: I sign up to Tenso and use the address and number they provide. Most JP sites I've used accepts the address and phone number Tenso provides. None of the sites I've mentioned above require any sort of code to be sent to your Tenso phone number
How do you pay for the services that require JP bank accounts? A: I do not have any jp bank account and have only used my local (asean) bank account. I just pick a card and pray it's accepted by the payment site
Which site do you recommend the most for international fans? A: CL. Other than the fact that the contents are subbed, it is also the platform where you can openly post in other languages (not Japanese) whether in replies or live chats. I really encourage getting the Premium subscription to show LDH how international fans are supporting them.
What is the difference between Official Fan Club contents VS mobile sites? A: Mobile sites main contents are blog posts that are updated by members themselves so the contents mainly focus on individual members (good for people who are only fans of specific members of a group). Mobile site contents are also less formal (pictures/videos are not edited professionally). FC are mainly group-centered contents and the quantities are not as many as those that are posted in mobile sites. But no same contents are posted in both site. ※ Personal note: Mobile sites is worth your money more compared to FC
Tumblr media
END. Thank for checking this out and feel free to hit me up if you have any questions regarding these services/sites as I've had a chance to use most of them
(e.g: I can answer questions such as how to sign up to site A, what kind of contents members A, B, C post in their blog or how regularly they post blogs, or which VPN do I use when using site A or B. Unfortunately I can't help with any question regarding payment)
Let's try to support our boys where we can :) 👍

VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT POST!!! DO NOT SKIP OVER THIS
it has come to my attention that ao3 is unfortunately modded by zionists. as an anti zionist jew this is not only disheartening but appalling. i've been using the site for years both to read and publish fanfic, and seeing this news is very disturbing to me.
HOWEVER. ao3 is a nonprofit website. by simply using it, you aren't giving them any money. so what do we do from here?
well it's simple. just don't give them money. don't donate to them. use an adblocker or vpn if you really want to be sure. just visiting and using the site as normal does not benefit them monetarily at all. all of my fics are accessible regardless of if you have an account, and many writers are the same. so if you haven't already, don't make an account.
in the near future, i will be looking for alternative websites to post my work. i will not be using wattpad, as i have my own issues with it. all of my work on ao3 will remain up, and i will continue to post my work there for the time being, however once i find an alternative place to post my work i will be posting it there alongside posting on ao3 (in that case, please hit me up with any recommendations).
remember-- protesting works. boycotting works. but when the thing you're boycotting doesn't make any money in the first place, it's all performance. this is an issue that is very personal to me, and i've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes to make my voice heard. i encourage all of you to do the same. go to a protest. call your representatives. boycott where it matters.
the most important thing to remember is that zionism hurts everyone, even jews. i'll keep doing what i can on my end. i'll see you all later.
