ok so since it's just occurred to me that the fandom is constantly growing and changing and learning, there's some bits of hermit backstory that I know that others might not. hermitfacts coming up:

the server was built as an equal mix of builders and redstoners (and then Joe Hills was added as a WILDCARD to shake things up)

season two only happened because Joe Hills ran a coup

tango is the father of the iron farm, before 1.14 made iron farms easy, your best bet was to ask tango. tango also modded villagers before the villager update

etho invented the etho hopper clock, revolutionised the minecraft let's play, and inspired a lot of the server to play/film

impulse is the guy behind the item sorter, and he is a master of villager manipulation, with his villager breeder being in massive use

bdubs' brother, pungence, joined hermitcraft before he did and played for season one

iskall is behind the vault hunters mod and it's really cool and you should check it out

the way cub built concorp inspired Mojang to update the way villagers work

doc is friends with the Mojang game Devs (even if they took his arm)

Hypno runs the hermitcraft website, even when he's not active on the server

Welsknight came in to defend the others in a rap battle when he was away from the server

Stress runs a fitness channel alongside her Minecraft channel and being a parent

Joe hills used to have a webcomic and do drawing streams - he saw twitch be born, and will likely see twitch die

Scar got his start in call of duty

CDawgVA: Did you envision back in the day when you were raiding Club Penguin icebergs that you would be here making advancements in language translation for streamers?

Quackity: Umm... You know what? It's really interesting because I was born and raised in Mexico, so growing up, I always thought of a world where someone who speaks Spanish but doesn't speak English could collaborate with a creator regardless of the language. So, it always was in my mind, and to see it come to fruition and see it happening and being able to meet all these talented, talented and incredible people that I now call close friends from around the world? That's- that' a blessing, and I'm so happy, I'm so thrilled.

Quackity: I'm doing great, man! This is amazing, I'm so excited for today.

CDawgVA: The energy is palpable. It's not often the streamers get to go outside.

Quackity: That's true.

CDawgVA: However, you have been responsible for joining many streamers together with your QSMP, and not just streamers of the same language– streamers of all different kinds of language, and very recently, you added Korean!

Quackity: Yeah, that's right! We added a Korean creator, we're planning to add more, but this is an absolute– this is crazy, and to see all the nominations being like, all these creators, it's amazing! It's truly a wonderful thing to see.

CDawgVA: And you're nominated for three awards, if I'm not mistaken. Best Minecraft, is right, and best International Streamer, and Streamer of the Year. Are you excited? How do you feel like your odds are?

Quackity: To me, it doesn't matter. I'm nominated with like, all my friends, so I think we're all winning! We all get to celebrate together, whoever wins, so that's like, wonderful. I'm here for the show, I'm here for my friends, and that's the most important part to me.

CDawgVA: Yeah. As a content creator myself who's been living in different countries, and trying to integrate multiple languages, what are some of the challenges you've had trying to work with multiple languages and specifically, mainly Spanish and English for your audience, but trying to bring all these languages together? What's the biggest challenge you've been facing?

Quackity: Oh, well, I think the thing we look at the most is to make sure that all creators are very comfortable with it, right? It can be overwhelming, especially if they might not understand each other, you know, if we're using the real time translator that we have, we got to make sure that they're in a setting that the creators are comfortable with. That's the biggest thing, that's our biggest concern with all the time, and that's what we look forward to, like– making sure all the creators are feeling good!

CDawgVA: Did you envision back in the day when you were raiding Club Penguin icebergs that you would be here making advancements in language translation for streamers?

Quackity: Umm... You know what? Quackity: Oh my gosh. Well, we host server-wide events for all the creators and everything just to give, you know, the creators a base where they can create content and all. The most recent one does sound funny, but it was called "QSMP Prison".

CDawgVA: Kai (?) did something like that actually.

Quackity: Right, but he did that in real life– no, we did it in Minecraft. But it was fun, it was cool to see all the creators, you know, all different languages kind of like in an enclosed space speaking to each other. It was a really cool thing.

CDawgVA: It's absolutely fantastic seeing what you're doing and I hope you have a great Stream Awards. It's an absolute pleasure getting to meet you, man. Enjoy the Stream Awards, I really appreciate it, man!

anyways this session has really solidified the reason quackity chose the people he did for me. because i remember connor getting an ask a while back complaining about how they wanted quackity to add people who would actually play instead of his friends (ie wilbur) who may not be active as often and. it rubbed me the wrong way for a lot of reasons, but mainly because it's clear quackity didn't choose just his friends. sure, it was a bonus that he was close to them, but quackity's first priority has never been "who can minmax the server and stream every day?" it's been "who is a good storyteller/who can tell a good story?"

because that's the core of it. the qsmp isn't about streaming or playtime, not necessarily. it's about the story. during the first announcement, people were surprised to see dantdm and jaidenanimations on the cast, because dan isn't really in quackity's circle and jaiden is barely an mcyt even if you push it. but you know what they were? storytellers. dan was a part of so many people's childhoods with his mod showcases and miscellaneous videos, all of which had lore. jaiden creates entire stories from video games! games with pre-determined stories that she has to spin into something new, something of her own.

and then the brazilians were added. some of them still did minecraft content, sure, but not all of them. but they were still storytellers. cellbit has his entire rpg. pac and mike have multiple roleplay series. and when you get to the french, the pattern repeats. baghera, for example, with her gta roleplay. not all of them are minecrafters at their core, but they are storytellers, and for most of them, improvisational ones at that. the same, of course, goes for the newest batch. pol is a filmmaker. vshojo has insane, deeply complex lore for all their vtubers. bagi is adept at ttrpg. sure, people being able to log on often is a necessity, but what good would that be if it ended up sacrificing quality for quantity?

this session really nailed it for me because you could see their expertise shine through. i feel like, even still, a lot of mcrp is seen as "lesser" because of its medium, or because of how it can switch between roleplay and just creators hanging out. roleplay is only typically praised and called to attention when it's highly emotional, and the same goes for the storytelling, with a heavier focus on how well creators can utilize angst as opposed to other moments. but this was treated differently. the silliness of minecraft was gone. what was previously disregarded came into light, like how fucking smart foolish is when writing characters and how well quackity is able to play into the story while staying true to his character, among other things! i just think quackity's brilliance in selecting his server members isn't talked about enough, because holy shit has he done a fantastic job

You'd been invited to the QSMP a few months ago, joining with Tubbo, Niki, and some other content creators you didn't know. You were a fairly small streamer, having a few thousand Twitch followers and a couple hundred subs.

Quackity decided to allow you on the server because some of the eggs were begging him to add you because Charlie Slimecicle had made you canon in lore. They wanted to meet the God by the name of Y/n terribly, so he sighed and reached out to you asap. He'd been planning the prison lore and had been working hard, and did a lot of research on you.

You'd been friends with Tubbo and Niki for a long while, and streamed with them here and now. You often did trio streams on Minecraft or did method acting streams for the laughs. Once they heard Alex might let you in to the SMP with them, they were jumping with joy.

But, thankfully, you were allowed in.

You'd started working on a weird star-crossed lovers / slowburn romance storyline with Alex, corny and cheesey, but thankfully contrasting to many of the other romance storylines on the SMP so far.

As your character arcs grew and progressed, so did you as people. You both began to realize that there was very undeniable romantic tension in the room and at the perfect timing, considering the Brazil meetup was right around the corner. You noticed not long after both Niki and Tubbo called you out on the "symptoms of loving Quackity" that Twitter and Tumblr had created the y/s/n tag. You were opened to a whole new world of fanfiction and fanart, which was no doubt adorable.

But, again, that meetup was right around the corner. You couldn't wait to meet your new friends, yes, but you were scared and worried that you'd make everything awkward with Alex. But, hopefully, it'd be a fun ride meeting up with your platonic boyfriend for the first time, and you'd make some amazing memories with all these people you'd met on the way here.

After that, the meetup was totally awkward. You both were obviously crushing on each other, but in an oh-so-typical fashion, didn't realize the others' feelings.

Tubbo stares down at you, trying to either catch your attention or intimidate you as you sit on the couch with Jaiden and Niki. You look up, seeing the brunette boy staring into your soul.

"Hello, Tubbo"

"Y/n. Go flirt with Quackity. I'm delivering a message"

"What?" You blink, glancing over at Alex standing with Roier, Cellbit, Etoiles, Foolish, and Tina across the room. "Why?"

"Because you've both been very awkward this whole time and it's obvious there's lingering sexual tension and it's annoying everyone that he won't make a move so I'm trying to get you to do so" He quickly speaks, hands heald behind his back.

You slowly look over at Niki and Jaiden, looking to you with wide smiles, like they were begging you to do it. You roll your eyes and groan, standing up with the help of Tubbo's outstretched hand, accepting the challenge.

"Hell am I even saying to him?" You question, running a hand through your hair due to the nerves.

"Ask him out." The three speak in unision.

"Oh, yeah, it's as easy as that," You sarcastically remarks.

You catch his gaze across the room, his sunglasses resting on top of his hat. You lightly wave with an awkward smile, which he sends right back, a little bit of red dusting his face. You feel your face warm up as you quickly look away, staring daggers into Tubbo's eyes.

"Nevermind, pal" You speak, sitting your ass right back down as you were to embarrassed after that interaction.

The following day, you were out on a walk near the beach with Alex, Cellbit, Tina, Niki, and Roier. Tina and Roier were picking up damn near any seashell they could find, hosting a contest of who could find the better shells for Cellbit. Both of them were basically racing down the sand, yards ahead of the rest of you.

Niki and Cellbit chatter with Quackity about God knows what. Meanwhile, you were taking pictures of them and the beautiful scenery around you. You select about four or five to post to your Instagram, and title it 'platonic boyfriend made it awkward /hj. I don't wanna leave this beautiful place'. You click post and go to the QSMP Brazil Meetup Discord, and send the pictures to the photos channel for anyone in the pictures who wanted to save them.

You put your phone away for a while, drifting behind the trio as you slow your pace, having found a crab and wanting to look for some buried shells in the sand. You feel your phone buzz a few times, either being Instagram or Discord notifications. You ignore it, wanting to soak in the fresh, salty ocean air and the feeling of sand sticking to your hands and falling into the crevices of your shoes and socks.

While you catch up to the others about a football field away at this point, you take your phone out, wanting to check what those buzzes were. Instagram, not so surprisingly. But what was surprising was them being comments from Quackity.

'what if I didn't want you to only be my platonic partner 🤨 what then???'

'y/n please catch up to us they're bullying me now'

You read Niki and Roier's replies, smiling as you do so.

'y/n/n he's crying because he wants to be with you so bad'

You shove your phone back in your pocket and begin to jog down the shoreline, attempting to catch up to the five as the sun begins to slowly set over the water.

Once you reach them, you notice Alex's clammy hands on your shoulders and how fast he was speaking, cheeks red as ever. The other four stand off to the side, not directly watching but definitely listening as they look over the shells that Roier and Tina had gathered.

"Y/n I am so hopelessly in love with you and I wanna be your romantic boyfriend, not just your platonic boyfriend, because it's been driving me crazy for months. And everyone keeps telling me you feel the same way, so if I did this for nothing I might actually cry"

"You literally just asked me out on a beach, I don't even know if I'm dreaming-"

Quackity cuts you off by lightly pinching you. "You're awake! Sorry, fuck. I'm just, shit, if you need time, it's fine. This is just really embarrassing"

"How do you think I feel?" You joke, lightly smiling.

"You're a dick" He laughs

Old habits die hard.

Pixlriffs knows this because as soon as fWhip explains what the little copper coin he holds up in one hand does, shining under the sweltering sun of a humid jungle, he feels a little shiver run down his back.

"No lore," says fWhip, hand holding the coin still raised, gaze sweeping the crowd. Pix doesn't know if he's being serious or not. "We're all just friends playing Minecraft here."

Someone snickers. Sausage says something under his breath that might be a swear and might be an apology. fWhip flips the coin with one elegant flick of the thumb and with that, they're all off.

Pix can't help it. The rule is broken in half by the time the sun sets.

"And anyways," Pix continues, turning to the chicken that stands next to him with huge, innocent eyes, "if fWhip was being serious about that rule then he shouldn't have made this the premise and invited me, of all people. Like, come on. He was there for that. He should have known this was coming."

The chicken does not respond. Pix does not expect it to. He's just being silly while talking to himself, anyways. Chickens can't talk, the night has arrived, and he has one hell of a hole to dig.

He'd made up his mind about fifteen minutes in that he wasn't going to add Mending to his tools, he wasn't going to let them dissolve into dust, and he was going to try his damn best to continue to honor death as best he could.

Pix had taken an oath back in Pixandria to respect the dead and honor their memory as best he could for as long as his life lasted, and given that he ended up being immortal, he figured it'd be stupid to not at least try to carry that over on a server where death had been twisted into such an odd form.

Old habits die hard, especially for an immortal.

Pixl keeps to himself and tells nobody of his plans. If they ask what the huge geometric monuments ringing the edge of his circular perimeter are for, he'll gladly tell them. There's rules and then there's rules. fWhip can say whatever he wants, but Pix had it drummed into him from a very early age that if you give up the right to respect the dead, you give up the right to respect for yourself.

Besides, Owen and Eloise did him one hell of a favor bailing him out as soon as they did. The least he can do in return is promise to respect them in the best way he knows how when they kick it.

The sun's rising now, bright gold above the steaming jungle canopy. Pix glances at it for a bit, eyes shaded, before hopping back down into the now gaping hole in the landscape to continue digging. Ever since he was revived, he's tasted copper.

Pix takes that as a sign.

i'm aware "i've made a theory because of abueloier" is an insane statement, and this is definitely the stretchiest of my theories, but. hear me out. i think there's something weird about the life system on the server.

abueloier, apparently, had two lives. which is weird when you consider the server members all have unlimited respawns. only the eggs get two lives, either because they're young or fragile, or because they're not players; i'm personally of the opinion that they're manufactured by the feds.

and then there's this:

ID: minecraft book reading: Day 19. Data gathered from the participant has contributed to positive outcomes thus far. The possibility of unlimited returns seems more and more likely. End ID.

as people have pointed out, day 19 was when juanaflippa lost her second life. we can assume that the feds gathered data from her death and concluded that unlimited respawns for the eggs are possible; this implies that having two lives are natural for them. but it's definitely possible that the federation can bring them back.

now, i've always assumed that respawns were the norm and the eggs only had two lives because of the above reasons. but after abueloier, i wonder.

this post says that abueloier was created by the federation to trigger cellbit (and maybe get him in trouble?). if both he and the eggs were manufactured, it makes sense that they have two lives. honestly it's a much more solid theory than this one lmao.

but, let's pretend for a moment that abueloier is real. this raises some interesting questions. does this mean people outside of the island only have two lives as well? are respawns the abnormal variable here? if so, could it be that the members were invited because of their ability to respawn, which the federation wanted to study and replicate with the eggs? or did they somehow instill respawns into the members? though the latter does bring up the question of why they can do it to the players and not the eggs. like i said, this theory's not the best, but. shrugs. who knows.

not to mention the theory that the eggs used to be people.... and the possible tests they ran on felps in the lab........

in any case, whether or not this holds water, the federation is playing with life and death. they're trying to turn two lives into unlimited ones––who knows if they could do the opposite? who knows if they could add or take away lives as they please?

So, I told you guys about the Minecraft server that's been having problems lately, right? The one that I'm salty about for several reasons, one of which being that I'm not able to do what I was told I would be doing.

Anyway, our admin (a long time friend of mine) announced this past Saturday that he would be ending the project. The main reason being that the people holding big roles (I would totally [user]name drop them, but I'm not gonna be that petty yet) have been bailing out literal hours before recording happens. Two of them have even been ghosting us all!

The problem is that I don't want to give this up. This project is something Admin has been dreaming about since we were in middle school. I've been helping him with this since I was in middle school (he in high school)(he's a year older than me). I want this to be a thing that happens because, and this is a little selfish, it's something I've been wanting to do, too.

Now, I've got two options. I can continue with this on my own, get everything set up before even approaching anyone about retrying; or I can talk to the others (Admin R, admin I, admin S, admin B, and myself (admin L)) and we can work together on retrying it. Either way, we have to be more cohesive.

This is where y'all come in. I need advice. Under the cut is a message I have drafted to send to the others, or at least Admin R. Will y'all let me know what you think about it? Anything I need to add or clarify?

Any advice is welcome because I don't normally have conversations like this, but I have before.

I'm also very stubborn about this. I will be doing this project with or without the others. It'll just be faster and funner with them.

If y'all don't really care, that's fine. Most, if not all, of you followed me for my writing, and I promise stuff is coming soon. But I can't go to my other socials with this because they follow my other socials and I don't want them knowing about this until I've got what I need/want to say sorted out. Y'know, I was thinking about the announcement from Sat. If we want to try and pick this up again in the future, doing an actual casting call would probably be our best bet. With a hard set schedule, the world built before even looking for voices, and a storyline to follow (if we don't wanna improv our way through)

It wouldn't even have to be paid roles! A casting call between friends to see who would be best where would be fine as long as we have a set schedule that eveeyone knows to follow. Like when putting on shows for school, except the rehearsals would be recording episodes. (Same with crew calls, because having a set crew and a set cast is always good)

If we do end up going with the paid route, we'd have to establish ourselves and a channel first so we can actually pay people.

This is, of course, in the scenario that we actually wanna do something like this again. If we do, we have to delegate and communicate between ourselves, and whoever joins us, better. A lot better

I think our problem was that we held too high expectations for this project. Expectations aren't bad, they're great, even! But there's a bar that we set that we couldn't reach for several reasons.

I get it, life happens, stuff gets in the way. That's where we fell apart, I think. No one was communicating with anyone, and when people did talk, it was sporadic with hours to days between messages. Last minute schedule changes across the board that wouldn't have been last minute if we'd all communicated better.

I have the most time out of all of us, I'm pretty sure, as well as several large followings in different places. I can take on a lot more than the others because of that free time and ability to reach as long as you let me. If we want to retry this, it'll take a while to set up, but I believe we could.

SO… in relevance to the past couple of days, it all started when Quackity announced the QSMP, the worlds first multilingual Minecraft SMP. That’s cool, right? NOPE, not to dream! he also announced his own multilingual Minecraft SMP, the USMP. ok, thats fine, they can each have their own server, right?

NOPE!

(this is incredibly summarized/assumed from gathered info) but basically Dream and Quackity got mad at each other because when Dream announced his smp directly after Quackity announced his, Quackity got upset and felt like dream was cheating off of his idea. in turn, Dream made it very clear- in a very suspicious manner- that they were completely seperate and that it was actually HIS idea first and not Quackity’s, and that Quackity was taking credit from him (and also got all pissy because Quackity wasn’t responding to his dm’s).

Quackity then proceeded to essentially (at least publicly) remove himself from Dream, going as far to delete some pictures of them together. You can imagine this pissed off a lot of stans, especially since Quackity had ‘stuck around’ aka said nothing about the grooming allegations against Dream during the whole October of 2022. In my opinion, I think the QSMP vs USMP is finally what pushed Quackity to try and break public ties with dream.

Sometime around all of this happening, Tommy released a video speaking about how he almost quit YouTube because a few years ago he was doxxed and stalked and the only person who warned him and stuck around for him during that... was dream.

This got inniters and dream stans into this weird not-sure whether or not tommy supported Dream or not because he never explicitly said whether or not he stood with the USMP or QSMP, but this was basically cleared up yesterday when Tommy released this video:

in it, both both directly (for an entire roughly 2 minute chunk of the video) and indirectly dissed dream and not-so-subtly took Quackity’s side about how he felt towards the green blob.

Dream, like the so super mature individual that he is, took it upon himself then to like and unlike hate tweets from his fans in response to the video.

Fast forward to today, and now Twitter dream stans are contacting and @ing Tommy’s mother telling her to “set her son straight” and to, quite literally “knock some sense into him.”

oh, and did I mention that the stans are also telling everyone (including Tommy’s mom who has dealt with doxxing and being accused of child abuse because of forged documents) that you’re a doxxing and abuse supporter if you disagree with them? yeah.

goddamn it now you've got me thinking about Sonic Minecraft headcanons and shit lmaoooo lemme like... spout a few: -Tails is the redstone nerd, he's the one who would literally learn to build computers inside of minecraft. The others purposefully ignore redstone in caves purely because they dont want him building massive shit that lags the entire server lmao, if he wants the redstone he has to get it himself. -Amy and Sonic are the two who use shaders, Sonic has a beefy-ass PC that Tails made for him so he likes to use shaders to make the world look as cool as possible, but he's also still a freak for high FPS so he tends to use low-end shaders with very basic texture packs. Amy, however, pushes her own PC to it's limits to make shit look as beautiful as possible, and she has a whole slew of texture packs that she's organized and uses. She's the screenshot lover, and the primary builder of the group. -Omega isn't in the server because he would not stop asking for mods that add explosives so he gets his own modded world where it's just.... always chaos. -Amy is also the primary server moderator, while Tails helps her with the technical stuff. -Rouge has been banned and unbanned like 14 times for stealing so now they shut down the server if Amy or Tails isn't online to make sure she doesn't cause trouble again. -Sonic, as you've mentioned, tends to explore a lot, so the others often find random dirt huts every 1000 blocks or so from when he forgets to take food with him and his sprint runs out at night time lol -Knuckles is the primary mining dude, he also absolutely refuses to give up his emeralds to trade with villagers because he wants to rebuild his home ruins in Minecraft and hopes to use emerald blocks for that. -Shadow is.... a bit of a wildcard??? He just tends to do whatever the hell he feels like, which is either building onto his house made of an assortment of random blocks, or causing absolute fucking mayhem for everyone else. He's also the one who spends his EXP on naming his weapons the most batshit insane stuff. -There was a moment in time when they were all in a VC together that Sonic said "Oh hey I found Shadow!" and not even 5 seconds later the message "SpeedyBoi was slain by XxUltimateShitlordxX" appeared in the in-game chat -Tails most likely helped set up some of their Minecraft accounts so many of them ended up stuck with names they absolutely did not choose

Chat: Tickling - I may have said this before, but I am a very bad tickler. In fact, I can barely remember tickling anyone properly so far in my life. I've done some quick pokes and scribbles, but I just can't go much further than that. Everything I wrote in my fics and hcs is just pure creativity and imagination. Not experience.

When It Rains - I get all cozy when I'm indoors and it's raining, like right now! But when I have to go out, it can make me frown and whine a lot.

When It Snows - I hope I don't fall down... I've got quite a number of experiences already, of slipping and falling in the snow.

About Me: Language - I speak Dutch, English, and Japanese and in all languages I sometimes struggle with formality levels at work. Especially when Japanese people call me by my first name without 'san', I am like..!!!! It's always a challenge to find the perfect balance of not being too impolite, and not being too formal and distant. I get the feeling I worry more about language and formality aspects than others.

Something to Share: Subscriptions - I've actually got way too many subscriptions running - Cinema, Spotify, Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Nintendo Switch Online, and Just Dance+. My Hobbies: Journaling - My friends and I all have bullet journals and working on those while chatting and listening to some music is one of the most calming and satisfying things in life for me.

My Troubles - Needing a new laptop so I can play games like The Sims and Honkai Star Rail, but my current laptop isn't so old yet. Also, the Taylor Swift store doesn't ship to the Netherlands, I cry.

About @ticklygiggles - On June 16, 2016, Mia sent me a message on Tumblr, starting a conversation. I messaged her back, and from that moment on we just... talked daily, grew closer and closer, watched anime together, wrote fics together, called and sent voice messages, and last month for the first time we FINALLY were able to play genshin together (Mia made a new acc because we weren't on the same server, huhu dedication girl). MCYT Co-Create FAQ

Will there be events? Will there be more than just sitting together and creating?

Yes! This will take place primarily on the Discord server. We will host events such as write-ins and art attacks to help fuel motivation! There will also be the Sprinto bot to create some healthy competition and a sense of community! There will also be regular check-ins to create a sense of structure. This will be available for all participants, whether in the discord server or just on Tumblr.

How will the sign-up work? How many projects can I sign up with?

There will be 2 separate sign up options out of which you can choose one. Option 1: You can sign up with up to 3 separate projects, regardless of word count or hours which you expect to be investing. Option 2: You can sign up with unlimited projects, which all together can add up to an estimate of 50 hours of time investment (in writing, we equal this to 50k words estimated) This averages to about 30 minutes/500 words per day. If you choose option one, please make sure not to sign yourself up for burnout, this event is supposed to be uplifting after all, not destructive

How will the check-ins work? Are they mandatory?

The check-ins are mandatory. They exist to help provide structure as well as help us offer support where needed. In these check-ins, we'll be asking you whether you are on track with your work, how far into completion are you, are you happy with what you've created so far, do you need support from us, do you need to drop a work, did anything major change about your work? It functions as much as a tool for reflection and structure for you as well as a tool for us to offer support.

How will posting work?

As soon as we reach the posting date, it is up to you to decide how to pace your posting or when to post within the allotted time. There will be one month of posting. Within this month, those whose work is a multi-part work will just need to post their first part. Those with single part works need to be posting in full within this month. This is so that we can properly share and reblog the creations on Tumblr. You can post on any platform you want. All we ask is to share a link on Tumblr, so we can reblog it to our page. We will be hosting an Ao3 collection, paired with an anonymous sub-collection for those who wish to remain anonymous upon posting. If you wish to post anonymously and still have your work shared on Tumblr, there will be an option to submit a post to us in the final check-in, so that we can post it for you on the event blog!

What happens if I think I won't make it until the deadline? Should I drop out?

Of course, we hope that everyone will achieve their goals by the deadline. However, if you have a feeling you won't, talk to us! If you're part of the discord, open a ticket, if you're participating on Tumblr only, send us a DM or an E-mail. We will gladly help you work out what the best option will be for you. There is an option to acquire an extension on the deadline, if necessary, so don't panic, talk to us, we will help you figure out what works best for you and provide our resources in any way we can!

Can I sign up for multiple positions?

Absolutely! You can sign up for as many positions as you wish! However, please do mind that all projects you want to sign up for must be within the limits of either of our sign in options. You cannot sign up with 50 hours worth of writing AND 50 hours worth of art, it must total up to the bounds of our sign in options. This is not to limit your creativity, it is purely to help avoid burnout and stress.

What fandoms can I create for?

Any fandom that falls under the MCYT umbrella is welcome! Any content that is Minecraft related and takes place on YouTube and/or Twitch belongs in our event!

Is there any content off-limits?

Nope! We allow all content, whether that is shipping content, adult content, graphic content or really anything else you might be worried about. We are exclusively limited by Tumblr and Discords TOS, meaning maybe that fully nude cosplay shoot you were planning to do might not work for our event. However, as long as it is allowed on Tumblr, it is allowed in our event! Edit: In light of recent events, we ask to not create content around individuals who are or have been negatively involved in discourse. For more details on this matter, please refer to out PSA post about this matter.

Can sign up with a WIP? Or does it need to be something new?

Absolutely you can sign up with a WIP. We're just happy to help you create, it doesn't need to be something new. It can be a second part to a series, it can be a WIP, it can be that AU you've been talking about on a discord server or your blog. As long as it’s a creative project that you wish to work on, it’s welcome into our event!

Can I still participate if I’m a beginner? I don’t know if ill be good enough for the event. Should I still sign up?

Of course! This event is for everyone who wishes to create, no matter your experience or skill level. There is no such thing as bad art, as long as you create, you're doing great! You only gain experience by creating, and who knows, you might even be able to learn form some more experienced creators in this event! So sign up! We’d love to have you!

I saw that I can sign up as a beta reader, what does that mean? Do I also have to take another role if I wish to be a beta reader?

Beta readers are an incredibly vital part for many writers. From proofreading works to offering advice and emotional support, beta readers tend to make a huge difference on how a writer can create. You do not need to sign up for another role to participate as a beta reader. As a beta reader, you can respond to writers' beta requests and help polish their works! You can also use our resources for the editing process. You are also welcome to sign up with works you are currently editing, if you wish to do so!

Cursed Enterprise headcanon (maybe AU) cause my favourite series is now Enterprise and they're the closest to the 21st century so I can make millenial headcanons for them and it'd still be considered canon:

One time, Malcolm had the crew do archery for target practice and survival training. Ironically, the person who had the worst score was Archer

Archer lost Porthos this one time and he was depressed for an entire month. In a show of good will and friendship, T'Pol decided to make it her mission to find Porthos. Archer was left with one question; If that's Porthos, then who the fuck is the beagle that T'Pol brought? In the end, Archer gave up trying to figure it out and decided to adopt the other beagle
