“Here’s your bottle, bubba” Zoey told her daughter as she placed said item in front of the hungry and impatient infant in her high chair. 

She felt her daughter’s beady eyes on her, an unspoken command given and Zoey grinned briefly before she ruffled her daughter’s hair affectionately. “Again?”

Madeleine made a sharp clap with her small and erratic hands, before gripping the bottle so tightly it was as if she feared her mother would remove it from her grasp before she’d swallowed the contents.

“If you insist” she said with a laugh. 

Zoey was amused by how happy Madeleine was when she took the empty wine bottles in hand. The bottles were leftovers from a few dates she had with Roselyn, but since the first time she’d done this, they’d remained on the counter and not put in the recycling. 

Madeleine watched avidly as her mother balanced the three between her fingers. 

Another clap, another impatient yap of speech that wasn’t quite words escaped the baby’s mouth. Her bright eyes glowed with the amount of anticipation that was growing in her mind. She needed, wanted her mother to get on with it.

Zoey gave her a mock bow before she started to juggle.

Madeleine stared up in delight, mesmerised by how quickly her mother juggled, not once slipping or even accidently dropping one of the bottles.

Since she’d started to grow bigger and faster, Zoey had been fascinated by Madeleine’s development, remembering all too well when she had been born, and when she was still in her belly for nearly a year.

She could hardly believe how big and observant her little girl was better.

A young woman who comes from the wealthy house of Ileshewnis. She is the only woman in service as a City Guard in Uranesia.

Huaien and Xiaoyu are the only members of that household who are capable playing chess which is why I love their dynamic.

The show established that they like each other and respect each other, but Xiaoyu is asserting her dominance as the true lady of the Jin family (and Xiaobao’s favorite) and the wounds around almost losing Xiaobao are too fresh for my toxic princess Huaien to not be jealous of anyone coming anywhere close to Xiaobao.

But man, once these two find their stride and Huaien teaches Xiaoyu everything he knows and his first born daughter takes over all of China, Huaien is gonna be the proudest mom ever.

“Thanks for the discount Sis, the food was great, as always!”

Emily smiled as she they withdrew from the hug. “It was a pleasure to host you and Zoey, and it was a good night tonight. Plenty of bookings and nobody walked out in disgust.”

Roselyn rolled her eyes “With respect Em, who the fuck would walk out in disgust?! Your food is the best in town!”

Emily’s smile widened “Thanks Ros.”

“Soooo, how is my future niece and nephew?” Roselyn asked, eyes lighting up with palpable excitement. Her sister really was glowing with impending motherhood and Roselyn loved how the town was slowly filling up with new babies.

Emily loved how Roselyn was just as excited as she and Phillip were at their new arrival, which had been just a shock to the couple as it was to everyone else, especially after their phantom pregnancy scare.

Her sister didn’t wait for an answer as she lent down to hunch before her sister’s enlarged stomach. “I can’t wait to meet them!”

“Me and Phillip are too” Emily said as she lent back. “The bubba’s all good. Zoey told me that everything’s healthy and as expected.”

“What a bloody relief!” Roselyn muttered.

She heard her and she nodded seriously “Yes, thank fuck I can have kids.”

“Ready to go home babe?” Roselyn asked just before she lent in to kiss her deeply. 

Zoey sighed dreamily as they withdrew “Yeah, come round mine?”

“You never need to persuade me” Roselyn said with a grin. “I’ll go call a taxi.”

for me in the morning or whenever I have the brain power to write it properly: after sonic forces sonic starts being a lot more private and tight lipped especially around reporters. he's always liked his privacy but even moreso now. infinite dug through absolutely every single mention of sonic he could get his hands on, articles and interviews and shitty paparazzi photos, and he use it all against sonic, use it all to make his illusions that bit more believable and impactful. sonic has learnt his lessons he's not going to let anyone use anything like that against him again
