Character Analysis ; Fender
a/n: Fender is a great operator. His newest skin for season 2 battle pass is AMAZING. a beautiful specimen tbh. but I hope this is a good read for some. (@lee-by-thy-side looking at you bestie) gonna throw a soft warning for the fact there is an angsty ending.
Tumblr media
“Fender” Takacs. First name unknown, however something tells me that his first name could be Ferdinand (Thank you Lee), Viktor, or Andre. Born to an American CIA operative, and Hungarian woman, ‘Fender’ never knew who his father was. The more he grew, the more his mother would tell him about the stories of who she knew him to be, causing ‘Fender’ to aspire to be as strong as he was.
Fender loved his family history, the cultural side of things. Embracing his heritage, he often dressed in the clothing and would participate in the dances during  the many festivals his home would host. His mother was an embroiderer, and growing up he adored every intricate detail she gave to each item. So much so, he asked her to draw up a design she wanted to do, and got it tattooed on his shoulder onto chest, left side, to hold his mother close to his heart when he would then travel due to his Military commitment.
When his mother received word of his position on the 1st Explosion Ordnance Disposal Regiment, she grew worried for her son, taking a small piece of cloth and embroidering their family crest upon it, before mailing it off. She continuously worried, hoping he would receive the carefully crafted gift, until one day she received a letter in the mail from her son, a thank you letter for the gift, accompanied with his own drawing of his mother’s favorite flower; Tulips.
Often times, she would mention how he had features that resembled his father, only for him to become a little sad due to never knowing who he really was. He often heard his mother cry in the middle of the night when he’d wake up, only to feel really bad. Sometimes he thought his appearance upset her; reminding her of the man who was taken too soon, never able to meet his son. Thought that because he resembled him so much, that he would follow the same fate as his late father.
“Fender, you look very handsome. Just like your father.” Her dainty and worked hands reach to caress her son’s cheeks, him leaning into her hands with such adoration.
“Anya*, I’m sorry I took after him. I know it must hurt.” His voice cracked a touch, his own hands cupping hers before bring them to be held in her lap. (Anya = Mother)
Unfortunately, due to his mother’s family history, and age, she grew very ill and sadly passed away before Fender could return home. With this, he found a letter she never sent out, the final sentence saying, “Szeretlek*, my Fender. Szeretnélek újra látni.*” (Szeretlek = I Love You; Szeretnélek újra látni = I’d like to see you again.) He started to tear up, adopting the small nickname she had always called him as he grew. He was definitely a Momma’s Boy. He always was there for her when she needed someone, being her ‘Defender/Protector’.
He always loved the name. No matter how much everyone made fun of it.
He was her little Fender. Her One and Only.

Here's a thought about Ghost I can't get out of my head
Immediately after everything with the cartel, when Simon is in the hospital with so many wounds it's unreal he's still alive. Simon who looks like a mummy from all the bandages keeping him together.
At least physically
Simon Riley who is scared and in pain and not quite sure what's going on. Simon Riley who spent a long time being used as a pincushion. Simon Riley who is all out of sorts from the anesthesia and pain meds. Simon Riley who can barely speak because of his newly acquired Glasgow smile.
Simon Riley who just wants to go home.
Simon who starts to cry and weakly gestures towards the curtain keeping him hidden when he hears his brother's voice talking to the doctor.
Simon who can only whine and make pitiful sounds as he cries because his family is here and he wants them. He doesn't care that he looks this broken, he wants them
Simon who has to get pushed back into the bed when he hears his mother's voice.
Simon who is so scared, so broken that all he wants is his momma. All he wants is to be held by her gentle hands and shushed by her sweet voice.
His mother who fights tooth and nail to see him despite the doctors all saying she might not be able to handle seeing him like this. But she's seen him beaten and bloody by a man she once loved, what could be worse than that?
His mother who sees her son suffering and in pain, but she isn't upset seeing him like this. She can't be, when she knows he's never let her see how badly he's been hurt. His mother who knows Simon Riley would carry the world for his family and not let them see how much it hurt.
His mother who sees her sweet little Simon crying in bed, calling for his mum. His mother who just sits and holds his head in her hands until he falls asleep.
His mother never once leaving his side because he once never left hers.

Can we please know more about König's draft horsies 🥺👉👈 I bet they work really hard 🥺
They're huge babies. They absolutely do work hard and are prized among the farmers in the area for their strength and power, but they're such babies. König absolutely spoils those animals. Brushed and washed regularly so their coats are shiny, fed the best food, and given the warmest blankets. König takes exceptional care of his horses because when he sells them they're worth that much more.
The farmers in the area buy them to help plow fields and pull various things, and all of them will boast about how great the horses are. Then in the same breath complain that the stallion they just bought mopes when he isn't pet enough. They're gorgeous animals but their temperaments need a little work. They hardly want to work if they're not getting the treatment König has taught them they deserve.
I think their favorite activity is knocking Bee over. Because every time they do König comes rushing over and gives them a sugar cube to back up while he helps up his little lady. They're all big fans of Honey-horse, she's quick and playful and they don't quite know what to make of her, but she's good fun. They run around the pasture together and then get scolded later by König because they're too big to be pushing around a filly like that.
Idk man, König is a horse guy, and his horses are his babies. He's very picky about who he sells to.

Captain Gloria
Or my way of making Ambrosius both a momma's boy and a neglected child. Because it's funny.
I hope you all know that Ambrosius mother in my mind is Captain Gloria, a 6ft tall aromantic pansexual TANK of a woman who got married only to have her child and keeps her husband (retired ex knight or whatever. Literally useless man) in a nice little house while she continues to live in the Goldenloin mansion raising Ambrosius (he visited his dad once in a while! The man in just too fucking tired of everything to care)
She didn't take a maternity leave with her pregnancy until they practically forced her to because she was COMMITED to her work. Like, don't sleep don't leave kinda committed, and Ambrosius may have taken one too many hits to the head when he was still in the womb so. She sees him more as a duty/pet/price than as an actual child and definitely has a really toxic and fucked up way of raising him but she loves him more than anything else in this world. Almost. She didn't really care about the thing with Ballister (mainly because she never really had a relationship that went past the physical aspect so she didn't really get what the fuck her son was going on about) but thought that it was kinda funny and he would probably grow out of it and become more focused in actual important stuff (being the best knight, for example!) buuuut she would've let them get married (in secret, clearly) because she knew what it felt like to despise what was expected of your love life.
The only good thing to ever come from her marriage was Ambrosius. Even if he was more of a demand than an actual want, she loved him.
She was born only to be the Captain, she lived only to be the Captain and she died in duty. Her son was born for the same purposes, raised for the same purposes, but managed to have a different life.
She probably would've been proud.

Fun Facts About Gorillas
While gorillas are young, they are typically primarily raised by their mothers. They rarely even let other members of the troop hold them, a behaviour even less often observed in mountain gorillas. Gorilla mothers carry their children with them everywhere, provide for them, share nests with them, and protect them constantly. They have even been observed to typically not put down their child for the first six months of its life at all.
When gorilla infants get a bit older, they tend to begin interacting with their fathers more. They’re know to lean on them and involve them in their games. This protects the infants as their fathers care increases their chance of survival if anything happened to their mother, Because then, it’s reported that a lot of times their father becomes the main person to look after the infants.
Despite this, scientifically speaking, gorilla infants have only a 40-75% survival rate in the wild. Meaning, a significant portion of baby gorillas die young.
Why is this important information? Because Johnny is a gorilla. To be more specific, he’s apparently a Mountain Gorilla.
So yes, Marcus being an overprotective father makes absolute perfect sense. Especially if aspects of their base species are being kept besides their design.
As does Johnny primarily taking after his mother and being a mom’s boy, even years after her death. Because he would have been extremely close with his mother during his early years of life. He likely would have been with her constantly, hardly ever around other people, besides maybe his father, and definitely not left in the care of others often.
And Marcus would have become protective after Johnny’s mum’s death because that’s what Silverbacks do. They take care of their kids. He would be overprotective because he’s already lost a member of his troop and he doesn’t want to lose his kid now too.

TG:M HEAD CANNON #2
How the Top Gun callbacks got their callsigns (3/12 in this Post)
Rooster: In no way, shape, or form is he a morning person. Yes, his dad called him Rooster, but it was just solidified after he managed to fall down the stairs, break a coffee mug, and burn toast, thus setting off the smoke alarm, all in one morning. If anyone was asleep, there was no way in hell that they were after all of that. A new unspoken rule was created there after, always, always, be awake before Rooster.
Tumblr media
^Might not be a morning person, but boy does he thrive at night, also might be in possession of a huge dick-
Phoenix: Only a few know how she got her callsign, the topic usually being closely guarded or the topic being blatantly ignored. Smoking, being very normal in any form of military, was a common sight around base. Those who smoked getting mandatory breaks designated for the bad habit. And so what did Naval Academy Phoenix do? She smoked, only for the pure fact of getting a break at least twice a day. Being called to the Admiral's office with haste, she managed to forget she was holding a lit cigarette till she stepped into the office, thus tossing it into the trash can filled with paper. Half way through their conversation about her options after graduation, the trash can caught fire. Later, that trash can was filled with ashes, and what rises from the ruble? Her callsign, now decided as Phoenix.
Tumblr media
^ Deemed a pyromaniac, I mean look at her eyes, she loves chaos, unless his name is Hangman, threatens him with the dick in her drawer
Bob: Many think this is just a shortened version of his name (Robert), but, In the small Midwest town he lived in, the one his mom grew up in and returned to after her long stay in Oklahoma, his mom was known as being the youngest of all her siblings, earning the title 'Baby'. Bob was stationed in Texas half-way through his training, and his mom came during a family visit. She introduced herself to all the other parents as Baby as she fawned over her only son, proclaiming how much she missed the boy and how the house was just falling apart without his manly strength. After family day was over, and the extended goodbye Bob's mom gave him, he gained the nickname "Baby's only boy", later shortened to B.O.B.
Tumblr media
^Big manly man like his mother says he is, and no one believes him till someone hits on his sister, after that he callsign was almost changed to BDE by the women plus Hangster, y’all know what that stands for.

This post has me thinking about Simon Riley and his mum again, but also him and his brother. Just the Riley family in general, really. This may not be the most accurate in terms of the timeline from the comics and stuff but I don't care, I'm tired, I need this, please let me have this
*tagging @stuffireadandenjoy and @deeptrashwitch just cause ;)*
Simon who has spent his whole life being a shield for his little brother. Simon who has always been told to keep an eye out for Tommy. Simon who has always stepped in the way of his father's wrath for his brother.
Simon who, as he got older, started stepping in the way of their father to keep his mother safe. Simon who has always been self-sacrificing. It's just always been a part of who he is. His mother watched him grow just knowing this man will one day walk willingly into his grave if it means his family gets to know peace for once.
Once he became a teenager, he learned how to disassociate. He learned how to shut off that part of him that led to emotional outbursts like his father was so prone to. He learned how to express everything he felt with an almost robotic nature. He was just barely thirteen years old when he became bitter. Just barely a teen when he became so indifferent to his feelings and emotions.
But his mother had always called him her "gentle boy". She saw him become disassociated and detached from the fatally human side of himself. She saw him take every hit with the same blank expression. She saw his amber eyes become haunted.
But she knew the truth. She knew he did this all to protect them. To protect Tommy. To protect her. His mother. He never should have gotten to that point. She saw that he was not "sweet" like Tommy. Tommy would tell her he loved her, would bring her little flowers he found on his way home.
Simon never did.
But Simon would quietly slip into the bathroom after one of his father's rampages with a wet towel and a glass of ice water. He wouldn't say a word as he gently dabbed at his mother's cuts. He would quietly whisper to her to drink the water to calm herself. She would watch as he would quietly pick up all the pieces of broken glass, all the overturned furniture. She'd watch as he'd gently tuck his brother into bed before crawling into his.
And so, his mum knew he was "gentle". That despite his newfound bitterness and detached manner, he was still her "gentle Simon".
But she also saw the change in him when he came home from the military. When he came home and quite literally threw the monster out of their home. When he helped her pack all her stuff and move across the city. She watched him as she had all those years; quietly picking up the pieces with a low voice and gentle hands. So far unlike his father, so far detached from the man she once claimed to love.
But Simon didn't stop there. Because he always took care of his mum and brother. Never just one or the other, always both.
And she watched him drag his brother into rehab, watched him stay by Tommy's side as he got clean. She watched Simon take on so many jobs, so many responsibilities all in the name of gently picking up the pieces and putting their broken family back together.
Mum's gentle giant.
So when she saw him in that hospital bed, nearly unrecognizable from the layers of bandages and the swollen bruises, the dark circles and bloodshot look of his eyes, it nearly broke her.
Nearly.
But when she looked into his eyes, his soft brown eyes, she knew she couldn't break. That for the first time in a long time, Simon was crying.
Her gentle giant, her little soldier, her guardian, in tears and lying almost dead in a hospital bed.
The doctor had told her he's going to struggle to speak for a while until the Glasgow smile heals. But they also told her he would have a hard time writing and moving his arms with all the damage from the numerous deep gashes in his arms and chest. So she had expected to see him in his usual disassociated state, expected to look into his eyes only to realize her Simon never came home.
But here she was, standing and shaking as she watches her fierce son break. But here she is, listening to his hoarse, broken voice do its best to call for "Mum".
And so she sat at his side for as long as he was awake, and even stayed to watch him sleep. To be his mother. To keep him safe and cared for like she should have been doing for all those years. Yet all those years, it had been the reverse.
She hated herself, but knew Simon would fight tooth and nail to prove her wrong. To prove that she was a good mother, that she had done her best in the circumstances she had been trapped in. Simon who would argue she was the best mother he could ever ask for because she had always been there. Had stayed and fought every day for him and his brother. Because she was always there to hold him when he needed it most.
Simon's recovery was a bitch to get through. He struggled with letting Tommy, Beth, and his mum take care of him. He had spent what felt like his whole life taking care of them, providing and fighting. And now he was practically bed-ridden, borderline useless as he healed.
Some days were easier than others. And some days Simon struggled to communicate what he needed, what he was feeling. And he would get frustrated, which would cause flare-ups of pain, which would make him angry. But he hated getting angry, hated the way he would huff and gesture when he couldn't find the words. He knew it was frustrating for his family; they shouldn't have to deal with this.
Simon expected pity. But he never got it.
Instead he got his mum soothing him with soft whispers and gentle hands. He got his mum quietly begging him to let her take care of him like she's supposed to; she's still his mum after all.
Instead he got Tommy being the strong one. Instead he got his little brother taking the time to pay Simon back for all those years of being the tough one.
His mother couldn't look at him without feeling guilty. Without knowing he had suffered and there was nothing she could do to magically fix it all, and it hurt. Here was her gentle, self-sacrificing boy laying here in pain and so dependent on her.
But his brother looked at him like he hung the stars. To Tommy, Simon was a hero. To Tommy, Simon was the one that literally shielded him from being beaten by their own father. Simon was the one that quite literally found him near death in a drug house and dragged him out and to rehab.
To Tommy, here was a man that should be dead and buried. Yet here he was. Breathing, bleeding. To Tommy, this was something Simon needed. Simon needed a point where he was cared for, to be repaid for all the things he had done for him and Mum.
The Riley boys have never been ones for tears, especially Simon. In fact, prior to all of this mess, Tommy could count on one hand all the times he had seen his older brother cry.
But now, in so much pain, physically and emotionally, mentally drained and tortured outside of their understanding, Simon was prone to tears. And Tommy could see this hurt Simon, made him uncomfortable and made the war he waged with himself so much worse. But to Tommy, he didn't mind. To Tommy, this was just proof that under all that bitterness, all the shoved down and bottled up emotions, his savior brother was still human.
There were only a few times Tommy cried during Simon's recovery. The first being when he saw Simon in the hospital, bandaged head held between their mother's soft hands.
The second was one Simon had gotten up and made himself a cup of tea and sat back down without any assistance, without showing any sign of unbearable pain or tearing any stitches.
The third was when they were enjoying a quiet Sunday evening as a family. They had Scooby-Doo on for Joseph, it being one of the toddler's favorite shows for some reason Tommy and Beth couldn't quite figure out. The episode playing had the gang running from a mummy, and Tommy could see the clear discomfort on his brother's still bandaged face as the monster appeared on the screen. Tommy could see tears well up in Simon's eyes as Joseph looked back at him from his seat on the floor, pointing at the screen.
Beth hadn't noticed the turmoil Simon was experiencing, and had explained that the creature was a mummy and the monster. Joseph's little face turned into a pout as he stood up and walked over to where his uncle was laying on the couch, unable to move much due to being sore from physical therapy. And Joseph reached out with his little hands and put them gently on his uncle's face.
"But he not monster." And at that moment, Beth and Tommy understood what the little tyke was trying to say: that Uncle Simon looks like the character on the screen, and that he didn't think a mummy was all that scary.
And to Simon, the pure innocent love from his nephew was all he needed. He motioned to Joseph to sit with him, and soon the two had fallen asleep together on the couch, Simon's arm wrapped around his nephew and his head resting on the little boy's.
That made Tommy cry hard enough he needed to step outside for some fresh air. He cried because there was his brother he shouldn't have anymore (Simon should be dead) with a son he never should have had (Tommy should have died in that drug house).
But they were both there, all of them alive and together, because Simon Riley was too stubborn, to committed to his family to let any of them die without first knowing what real love felt like.
So as much as Mum Riley would always call Simon her gentle giant, there would be Tommy calling him a stubborn bastard.

30 DAYS OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT.
Day 1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Tumblr media
Whilst Rem Saverem was not Vash's biological mother in his eyes she may as well have been just that. Vash adored Rem with all his heart and soul just like she did to the both of the twins and the relationship the trio shared was one he never will forget. It's kept him going sometimes in all honesty. Just being able to remember there's good times he can look back on when he needs them.
Rem treated both of them like her own biological sons and as a result he was treated with many presents and treats here and there and honestly had the twins not discovered what they had he would have continued to receive all of that and more as he grew into the man he was now.
He misses Rem. So much. So much that it hurts. But he will continue to live on living by what she taught him and one day, when he's finally reached his limit, he's going to tell her all about his adventures and finally get to hold onto her again just like he used to.
Rem Saverem will, and forever will be, his mother.
