Am I crazy for thinking ACU has been cursed from the moment it was announced!! Like it’s just been one disaster after another, a dark cloud hanging over it. Covid, the actors’ strike, wildfires, messing with filming and the awards campaign. And then on top of that we’ve got the most cursed stunts ever: Cabo and the Kardashians. It’s like, please, can this whole thing just end already? It’s been five years. Go away, Satan.

And yeah I 100% agree with you, his team and the awards campaign are a total dumpster fire. At first I thought hey they know the industry better than me, right? Maybe they’ve got a plan. But nah.

We all know the Golden Globes is the only realistic prestigious award he could win. The Oscar? Slim chance. And even then, they completely fumbled the Golden Globes, turned it into a circus twice. He didn’t win, and you could see the disappointment all over his face.

Austin Butler won the Globe for Elvis and lost the Oscar, but for his age, that was still a solid awards campaign. Tim’s isn’t. His team is a mess. Like who thought acting desperate would somehow improve their chances?!!! And if anyone still thinks there’s a shot at an Oscar now, they’re delusional.

Call Me By Your Name didn’t need all this nonsense. It’s more awarded, more appreciated both as a movie and for his performance. Plus it had a relatively better box office with way less marketing and a smaller budget. Because, LESS. IS. MORE.

All I see people saying about this campaign is that it’s desperate, try hard, and completely manufactured. Which sucks because he’s one of the most genuine actors out there. Bravo.

too much promotion in my opinion is too much (excuse the pun), too much exposure, too many appearances risk backfiring, even if they are worth Oscar nominations. Different is the case of cmbyn, an authentic jewel where the appearances and interviews of the 2 protagonists took your breath away every time for the chemistry and the special bond, making the public wish for more exposure.

oh !! non-sharing in simple term is just someone who selfship with a character and prefers not to interact with anyone who selfship with the same character ! (this also happens with ppl with multiple f/os too, tho often time theyre usually only nonshare with a selective few instead of everyone)

a lot of time ppl seem to confuse this with someone who gatekeeps or "owns" the fictional character but this is simply not true-- despite the word "nonsharing", ppl who nonshare are not gatekeeping anyone from selfshipping with the same character and do not own the character-- they just prefers to not interact with anyone with the same f/o for their own comfort

reasons for nonsharing can be many-- it could be that someone is using selfship as a coping mechanism from trauma and seeing their f/o with someone else might trigger that trauma, or they're using selfship to heal and/or generally for escapism, or they just put so much effort in their ships and dont want to see others' interpretation of the same characters. whatever it is, don't force them to explain why theyre nonshare or try to convert them to sharing, it's rude and its best if you just let them enjoy their own curated space.

Calling Homestuck required reading for Undertale/Deltarune is crazy considering the only "theme" Homestuck and Undertale have in common is like, naming the player character I guess? And while Homestuck and Deltarune share a lot of themes like control and the relationship between a story, its author, and audience, the ways they engage with these themes is so entirely different that calling one required to understand the other is lunacy. If you went into Deltarune expecting having read Homestuck to have taught you anything besides "There's a bucket with a spade on it in Homestuck too." I think you'd just be confused.

I think one of the people I saw was saying that like to understand the exact mechanics of how Dark Worlds work in deltarune you had to read homestuck so that you would know about some random homestuck plot point i've never even seen mentioned before and then I guess become able to assume that Toby Fox will be exactly copying the homestuck thing without altering it or differing in any way. Which seems like an odd thing to say in such confidence to me. Like I guess maybe it would be required reading to understand deltarune if that did turn out to be the case, but I think usually most people try to give Toby the benefit of the doubt and assume that he is capable of having ideas that are not exact 1:1 matches for a webcomic he made music for 15 years ago, he seems to have been doing a decent job at that thus far for what i'm able to tell

We know that these kids play videogames because of SM1, where Skid seems to own either a GameCube or a Wii (the controllers are white yet don't have wires? Likely a WaveBird Wireless Controller like a comment below this post has pointed out, but this was Pelo's first SM animation so who knows) and a copy of Luigi's Mansion (it HAS to be the very first game on the GameCube, the sequel was a 3DS title). So, at least, one of them plays Nintendo games. Also Pump has a console at home too?? But we don't know what it is yet?? It's on Patreon, Pelo showed a small bit of the first scene's script and he was playing a videogame and asks Susie to help him win it, so just putting it out there. Now, in terms of timeframe, we know from SM5 (particularly the newspaper talking about Bob's escape) that the show, as of SM6, takes place on either late 2013 or sometime during 2014. Therefore, we have all the Animal Crossing games up to New Leaf (2012) for possibilities. However, if we narrow it down based on what I have said above, especially because no handhelds have ever been referenced in the show, it'd either be Population Growing (2003) and/or City Folk (2008), depending on the console. Yeah I'm actually putting IRL context just so I can reason, and prove, whatever I'm going to say next lmao. This is @pumpkinhcad for God's sake, we do NOT give short answers here.

Considering how technologically-literate Susie is, and how she's a 2000s child, I'd be surprised if the Wonders didn't own a Wii?? I feel like the Wii was that console every kid owned (me included), and City Folk was one of the best-selling games in the console; so I would not be surprised if that was a game she owned and played, especially because AC is a popular game series within her demographic. Being a demonology enthusiast aside.

Pump has likely played all the games his older sister owns one way or another so, by that logic, he has probably wrecked havoc in his sister's City Folk town. You know what I'm talking about: hitting your villagers with nets, setting up pitfalls, pissing off Mr. Resetti, the like. He would probably find the game to be very boring otherwise, though, considering it is mostly a simple life simulation game with cute animals as your neighbors. Also the game he is playing in SM7 seems to involve killing a witch as a knight, so yeah, not his kind of game.

Regardless, I think he'd like the Lazy villagers, funny enough. They like bugs and candy, and will often say pretty out-of-left-field stuff just like him. And who is a spooky-looking villager that has the Lazy personality? That's right, Lucky! He even looks like a mummy!

Maybe also Stitches can be included in that list, because he looks like a Frankenstein's teddy bear. Coco is an obvious option too, and I think Pump would tell people that she can suck your soul out of your body if you stare into her empty eyes for long enough, something silly like that. Gyroids are super eerie in general, I wonder if he'd be interested in looking for and collecting those.

The TL;DR is: he probably has played Animal Crossing off his sister once or twice and he likes the lazy villagers (mainly Lucky, he looks spooky).
