A small dcaXy/n idea I had

Premis: Y/N works part time in the daycare but doesn't really interact with the dca which doesn't mean the dca didn't notice them there.

Start of the story

Y/N gets messages from an unknown number and decides to answer

They start messaging thinking that they don't know each other at all

They notice that the tone and wording in the messages switches completely throughout the day but get used to it way too fast

Y/N's life is a complete mess right now so Unknown is a pleasant distraction

They never tell each other their real names but use nicknames instead

Both share how they feel often and text about life and just anything that they think of

Someday y/n just calls their unknown friend to share some great news because they have no one else they want to share it with

They don't pick up but call back later

A male voice they have never heard answers. A pleasant one. They talk for hours.

But the voice tells them to only call at night bc he can't talk on the phone while working. But texting is fine

Y/N falls in love over late night phone calls and long text convos

They ask if they could meet up and hang out

He doesn't answer

The connection goes silent

The last thing he sent is "I'm so sorry. But I can't" written only a few minutes after their question (in the middle of the day)

Hours go by and they get no answer from him anymore

Hurt and worried Y/N is in a daze of crying and starring at nothing for the rest of the week

This is when Y/N misses their break bc they stayed in the daycare closet to cry

As they step out the daycare is dark sth that Y/N was never there to see

Then they hear it. The voice of the person they love singing from where the kids are sleeping.

Y/N stumbles through the dark until they reach the kids and lock eyes with the daycare attendant

Moon goes quiet and his eyes betray him and show his shock

Y/N is stunned

"It's you?"

did i really cry at the end of an (maybe) isekai where the answer to prevent a doomed narrative is a fix-it fic ( or in that case a rough animation sequence) because i did.

i've seen a lot of people giving their own thoughts and interpretation of the finale, which made realized that THIS! is what media does to fans. We consume it, we digest it for a while, and then we move on. But not for a majority of us. There are, and will be, media that stays with us forever.

Take Natsuko, atop impacted her in such a way that it influenced her life. From the choices she made and people she met, that movie (and Luke) as with her through. in her highest and her lowest, but was always by her side, reminding her why she's pursuing this dream. we may never know if she would have taken the path of an animator if she never that movie, but we can assume her life would be different either way. that's how important it atop is.

Sometimes, you will come across something, for the first time, with fresh eyes that is engraved forever in your mind, heart and soul. that you love wholeheartedly, that love is real because it makes you happy. So that's my take on Zenshu, a beautiful love letter to artists who'd been inspired to take a pencil to draw, to write, to mold, and it blooms into passion and commitment towards their future of what inspired them to pursue the career that brought them so much joy and love in the first place.

ok... incoherent but interesting ramble ahead about anakin in the world between worlds.

so anakin IS there with ahsoka, its not a vision or a representation, its anakin.

he is very reminiscent of master anakin during the clone wars, teasing ahsoka, making jokes, training her in weird and whacky ways and ultimately giving her the best advice to be the best she can be in this situation she is in.

but there is obviously a darker element to it, so i was just thinking about how its like... it is anakin being even MORE of himself, he isnt fighting between anakin and vader, he isnt trying to prove a point, it isnt some bleed through of ahsoka's fears of vader, it is like we are watching in real time as anakin is embracing the version of himself that he always has been, without guilt from the order.

yes he is darker, yes he is training ahsoka with the dark side of the force as well as the light, he is embracing his past history of fighting dirty, of being brutal, of using rage and anxiety and arrogance to encourage her to be better and stronger.

in the world between worlds he can be his own authentic self and his most powerful self, and sometimes his most powerful self is utilising the dark side, but he can use that power to teach someone he loves dearly how to protect themselves, he can impart all the wisdom he has learnt onto ahsoka, like obi-wan did for him and like qui-gon did for obi-wan. because ahsoka's advantage in that situation is having a master who has perfected the art of both, and can now be the best teacher he possibly can be without the jedi council smothering him and enforcing hypocritical morals.

some random wife things from this week:

she got new shoes that she’s really excited about and she looks so cute in them

weather was finally chilly enough for prolonged cuddling and man is there anything cozier than an extra blanket on the bed and my wife’s arms around me

she tried coffee from multiple new spots this week and i got to steal a sip every time

you ever see your hot jock wife in autumn flannel…you ever see your hot jock wife in a scarf and jacket and stompy boots.,,

in the middle of some travel (stressful edition) i said something like “you’re so nice to me, thank you for being so nice to me.” and she immediately said “of course. i like being nice to you, it’s easy.” she’s nice to me every single day, but it’s especially precious to me when i feel like i’m at my worst (inhabiting my airportsona).

last night while she was cooking dinner i went and caught her eye and looked pointedly at the mixing bowl she was stirring, and she just gave me a 😐 face. didn’t even take off her headphones. marry someone with whom you can telepathically communicate the “that’s what good pussy sounds like” vine at any moment.
