Oh my goodness your Lucifer fic is SO cute! You write him very well! Hi Anon! Thanks so much for your submission. I hope you'll enjoy what I came up with! I had fun with this one (it got me giggling and kicking my feet or something...)

Word count: 1.2k words. Kinda got carried away, my bad. Genre: (Tooth-rotting) Fluff. Established relationship. Warning: None.

LUCIFER MAGNE with a shy and short S/O:

Lucifer is quite short himself in comparison to a few demons. But, you? Being shorter than him? God, he’ll think you’re the cutest thing ever (plus, it was a massive ego boost on his part). And your timid nature only adds onto it. 

Expect him to be very touchy with you. There isn’t a second moment where he isn’t clinging onto or hugging you. Out in the public or even at the hotel, his arm would somehow always find its way wrapped around your shoulders or waist. He just wants to keep you close to him as much as possible, since you just seem to fit so snug and well in his arms. 

Lucifer loves it so much when you get all shy and flustered around him. His pride just flourishes whenever your face bursts into flames, especially knowing that it was because of him that you’re acting this way. He’ll tease you about it, but not too much because he cares for your poor heart. 

He also knows his million-dollar smile does wonders, so he’ll use it to his advantage. He’ll strike a smile or smirk at you out of nowhere when you would meet eyes, and he’ll revel in the way you’d melt so easily under his gaze. Though, it would be the same for him – his heart would burst with that warm-fuzzy feeling whenever you would send one of your precious smiles his way. This man is smitten and will worship you and the floor you walk on.

Is also super, super supportive of you whenever you get anxious – will do anything in his will to help distract you or alleviate any of your worries, whether it be just holding your hand, talking some nonsense to fill in the silence, or even flying you around to get some fresh air. He'll probably even have a duck-shaped stress ball for you to use whenever you get a bit fidgety.

Additional things I think Lucifer would do: he would give you a lot of forehead/head kisses; HE WOULD TOTALLY SET YOU DOWN ON A COUNTERTOP OR HIS DESK AND KISS YOU FR, OR HE'LL DO SO WHILST CARRY YOU WITH YOUR LEGS STRADDLING HIS WAIST I need self-control; he will shamelessly rant about how adorable you are in front of the others, even if they're all sick of it, 'cause he's just so proud to be your partner!

Lucifer found himself silently admiring you while you were all snuggled up against his chest. After another successful hard day's work, you spent the remainder of the night watching a couple movies together at the hotel’s lounge area.

Noticing a pair of eyes on your figure, you crane your neck up and with a small tilt of your head, you stare back at him in question.

The King suddenly felt his chest swell with so much love and affection for you. You didn’t even know how adorable you looked in his arms right now. Without warning, Lucifer dipped down and pressed his lips against yours, swallowing the surprised yelp that escaped your lips.

As you parted ways, Lucifer grinned widely as your cheeks noticeably began to redden. “W-What was that for?” You pouted.

“Sorry angel, but I just couldn't help it! You looked too cute – I couldn’t not kiss you then.” He stated matter-of-factly. He then leaned once again to press multiple pecks across your face – one on your forehead, on both your cheeks and another lingering one on your lips.

The out-of-the-blue affection had you swiftly burying your face into his chest, a poor attempt made to hide your embarrassment. You could only grumble in defeat as you felt the way his chest shook as he chuckled aloud, evidently amused by your flustered state.

ALASTOR with a short and shy S/O:

Not gonna lie, this man will be so annoying but in an endearing way.

Alastor would tease you endlessly about your height, since the difference would be quite significant – it usually consists of him resting an elbow or his arms on the crown of your head, leaning onto you like you were some sort of personal arm-rest. He personally finds it quite amusing, like a joke that never gets tired. 

Since he isn’t really a huge fan of PDA, he would often give you head-pats. It’s a small, simple gesture but it’s his way of showing affection out in public. He would also often have your arms looped around one of his own whenever you two would walk together, side by side. 

Behind closed doors, I can see him as the type to pull you between his legs, your back pressed against his chest whilst he reads the newspaper or a book in bed. He would then use your head or shoulders to rest his chin on, to peer over you. Sometimes he would even play with your hair, looping them around his fingers whilst he absent-mindedly hums a sweet, little tune. Again, a simple gesture but also very intimate. I'm literally melting just thinking about it. I feel like he would do something similar like this whenever you get anxious – if it helps, he would also make you some tea on the side, and even let you play with his hands/fingers.

Being the huge tease he is, Alastor just loves how shy you get around him. He's the type to say things like: "Dear, do you have a fever? You look a little flushed," or "My, my, your face may be redder than my suit!" just to see you get riled up even more. But if another demon were to talk smack about how shy you were, you will not see them live another day. That's a guarantee.

Additional things I think Alastor would do: he and/or his shadows would help you grab things from high places or would lift you up by the waist for you to grab them; out of pure instinct, he will for sure become extra protective of you; would be the big-spoon in most cases; would tease you by retracting himself using his height whenever you would lean in for a kiss.

Alastor was quick to pick up on a small habit of yours very early on – how you would always hide your smile behind your hands. When he brought it up one day, you sheepishly told him that you were insecure about your smile, which perplexed the deer-demon. 

Just like now, Alastor couldn’t help but raise a brow as you hid your grin behind your palm whilst you chuckled at one of his corny jokes. “Now, now, this won’t do, my dear!” He clicks his tongue, waving a disapproving finger at you, “why must you always hide that gorgeous smile of yours?” 

A blush suddenly breaks out across your cheeks. You unconsciously found yourself looking down, embarrassed by the flattering remark, only for his finger to guide you back up by your chin. He then leans in but stops only centimetres away, his face dangerously close to yours. 

Alastor’s grin only grew wider, seeing how helpless and small you looked – eyes widened like a deer in headlights, and yet filled with anticipation. You looked so, so nervous. And yet, it was so endearing that he wanted nothing more than to scoop you up in his arms. 

“Now, does the ground look much more entertaining than I, dear? I don’t think it can make you smile the way I do.” He teases, his voice intentionally dropping an octave deeper. God, he was going to be the death of you.

Well this was clearly going to happen eventually after retirement but I think it's for the best that I finally step away from this blog.

First things first, I want to thank everyone who supported me throughout the years. I started this blog in the middle of 2020 and all of you who supported me helped me get through some tough times, including the death of a family member. For a while, this blog was tons of fun. Ideas and words were flowing onto pages and the creative spark was immensely satisfying. Seeing people enjoy my own niche but vanilla works helped me feel good about my writing.

Like I said, this blog was a lot of fun. Until it wasn't. The pressure to perform, the idea that each piece had to be better than the one before it, even if nobody expected that. The growing "meta" of the community with certain idols becoming "mainstream". While I never tried to focus too much on notes, it did quickly get demoralizing to see pieces I poured countless hours of work into get less notes than some random pieces just because the idol I chose was less popular. It wasn't even really about the notes, it was about wanting to feel like the work I put in was acknowledged. Even though I shouldn't have let it affect me, as someone who always struggled with acknowledgement of others, it was tough on me. Eventually it felt like more and more of a chore to write because why bother if I'm not going to be acknowledged for my effort anyway?

This combined with drama from other writers (since this is goodbye post I don't feel bad about airing the dirty laundry, Peach you're still a bitch whose fragile ego couldn't take the same trash talk you dished to countless other people) and the community shifting to younger and younger idols to the point that I felt massively uncomfortable just communicating with some of the other writers in this circle of the internet, killed the spark I had for this hobby.

So I decided to retire. I flirted with a comeback every once in awhile, tried to finish at least a few of the multitude of partial drafts I had started to varying degrees over the years. But despite all of these efforts, I found that my love for this community truly died. But I still held onto to whatever vague attachments I had to this blog and tried to transform it into a random space to geek about my various hobbies since this was the biggest platform I've ever achieved while also messaging the few writers I still talked to. But as more and more of those writers also disappeared, it's time for me to accept that it's time to say goodbye.

Over the past few months I've been taking big steps to get my life into a place I want it to be and I think a big part of that now also involves laying this blog to rest. It's not fair to you guys who are still here expecting some type of possible comeback, and it's not fair to me to hold onto these feelings that at this point can only be reduced to nostalgia. While my catalog might not be as long or extensive as some of the other writers in the community, I'm still pretty proud of the work I put out for the most part.

If by any chance anyone still even reads any of my works, don't worry. The blog itself isn't going anywhere, I'm not deleting it. It'll stay here for a good long time. It just won't be a place I visit anymore.

Even though most of the following people are now gone, I want to take this time to thank some of the most influential people behind my time on this blog.

First, huge thanks once again to the amazing @lockefanfic and @sinsatmidnight. I've said it a million times but you two were the whole reason I started writing in the first place. You helped me onto this amazing journey and I'll always appreciate you for it.

@ggidolsmuts, @cataboliac, @themanthemyththeverite, you guys were some of my best friends in this community and I appreciate everything you all did for me. I love you guys.

A special shoutout to @kingmaker-a, you were my biggest fan and you were a huge reason why I kept going for a while. My last couple of pieces are definitely out because of your support.

A giant thank you to the 9,500ish who were here over the years. While I never quite got to 10k followers or hit 1k notes, the fact that there's still so many of you here never ceased to amaze me, especially since I never expected to get 100 followers, let alone almost 100 times that. Truly amazing and you all hold a special place in my heart.

And finally, to quote a manga I enjoy, "if you liked my work I'm happy, and if you didn't, I'm sorry but I can't do shit about that."

I'll stay on for a little bit to answer any potential farewell asks but I don't know how long that will last.

It is such a wild time to be watching QL, there is SO MUCH every day. And a lot of it is really good?!

Today I watched EIGHT different shows, and of them, I was really happy with the episode for all but one. Here are a few words about the ones I had a good time with today:

Addicted Heroin Thailand crossed the first hurdle of adaptation by including the kidnapping scene. Looks like they're continuing to stay true to the source. I appreciated that this scene in particular retained the emotional core while toning down the SA threat (though Hero's desire is still very much present). This is a solid adaptation so far!

Reverse 4 U is using the powers so well, and I am loving the sister relationship, especially how they tease one another around their powers. It's also building to the relationship turn between Four and Wa in a believable way, which I'm really enjoying.

Peaceful Property is delightful and as @lurkingshan already articulated so well, I love what is being set up re: inequality. Plus this show is just so funny! it's balancing these two threads really well and doing a good job maintaining the haunting-of-the-week energy so far.

Love is like a poison had an incredible first episode, I love the effects and cutaways in this show, and the way it is making fun of its protagonist is so much fun. Ryoma is a dork with main character syndrome and I am obsessed with him. Curious how they're going to turn around this setup into a romance!

I Saw You In My Dream was a baller episode, @my-rose-tinted-glasses wrote about how great it is to see a conversation like this between friends as well as between lovers; all of the conversations in this episode were good (between both couples, between the besties, and between the parents). I really appreciate how, as many folks have said, everyone in a relationship in this episode wants to have sex, and the barriers to having sex are real and discussed openly. Big fan of everything in this ep. We've really departed from the dreams, which I think we need to get back to, but this ep was worth the deviation.

The On1y One continues to be incredible; Thank you in particular to Faiza (@usertoxicyaoi) who has been giffing like mad to capture every important conversation in this episode which was so many of them. The one about moving to the dorms together made me misty fr. I love when youths who did not get a chance to have a childhood get to blow bubbles.

Unlock Your Love also started today, I really enjoyed the very pulpy and trope-filled previous show this team put together (Lucky My Love) so I've been excited for this. We have a workplace GL filled with canon bisexuals, a grumpy/sunshine dynamic with a history from college, and a playgirl. I'm so seated.

I don't usually do a roundup post like this but it just hit me how much good television I got to watch today, and how rare it is that I have this good a time with almost everything I'm watching, and I needed to capture the moment.

Tomorrow, all 6 episodes of A Time of Fever drop on iQIYI, as well as How to Make a Million Before Grandma Dies on Netflix, and that's in addition to the episodes of The Onl1y one, The Two of Us, Monster Next Door, Twilight Out of Focus, and probably Seoul Blues that will be dropping too.

I'm really having trouble keeping up with everything airing, everything I want to write about it, and everything being said about the shows on tumblr. It's the best possible problem to have!

Chapter 26

For some reason, I wasn’t brave enough to venture over to Haley’s house and confront her just yet. Part of me was still mad at her actions and doing a 180 with her feelings. She is hardcore playing with my feelings but I have been dying to hear her say those words. I wanted her to admit that she wants to be with me and that she is attracted to me.

The whole rest of the day was just me daydreaming about the morning. It wasn’t until just after dinner that I decided I’m going to go to the saloon for the night and see if they are all hanging out there. They’ll freak out when they hear the news.

“Howdy!” I say, announcing my arrival to the arcade. Just as I thought, everyone has decided to meet up. We were just missing Haley and Abigail unfortunately.

“Hi!” A chorus of their voices call out.

Trying too hard to keep the excitement in, I keep trying to stifle my grin. As good as I think I’m doing, everyone clocks me immediately.

“What’s up with you Danny? Why are you smiling funny?” Maru questions me.

“Ahhh you know. This and that,” I slyly say, trying to act cool.

“Something is up. What are you hiding from us?” Leah gasps, “Oh my god are you pregnant?!”

This causes the whole room to erupt with laughter. I just shake my head and laugh along with them.

“No seriously. What is it you are hiding?” Elliot cuts the laughter off with a serious tone.

“Well if you MUST know…a certain someone may have finally dipped their toes in the water with me…” I say nonchalantly.

A million questions start being asked that I can’t keep up with. I try listening to each person but everyone talks over each other.

“It might’ve been more of a dip. More like a splash. But not in the physical sense of us doing things…it was just a confession. A really big one. She let it all out to me today that I’m still processing what she said exactly,” I say, hoping to answer everyone’s questions.

Everyone had finally quieted down to hear my explanation. Sebastian lets out a hoot of excitement and the rest join in. They really are a loud bunch.

For some reason, my eyes drift towards Alex alone in the corner. I see him smiling brightly and joining in with everyone else on the hollering. He seems genuinely happy for me, and I hate that I was ever mad at him. I understand he was in a tough position with his feelings and was in the same boat with Haley. The two of them have come so far and I hope they both feel more like themselves.

He sees me looking at him and shoots me a wink and a thumbs up. I send a thumbs up his way in return. I mouth the words thank you to him, hoping he can read lips. I see his face contort into a look of confusion but he shrugs it off and keeps smiling.

“You know what you need to do now? Bring her a bouquet of flowers from Pierre’s!” Penny chimes in. “Bringing someone a bouquet indicates romantic interest in Pelican Town. It’s a tradition!”

“Why have I never gotten a bouquet?” Sam’s face falls as he looks to Sebastian. He starts giving Sebastian the sweetest puppy dog eyes, trying to make him feel bad for not getting him a bouquet.

“Fine I’ll get you a bouquet,” Sebastian gives in, rolling his eyes playfully. Sam pumps his fist in the air.

“It’s just like if you were to get her a Mermaid Pendant. Pelican Town folks give our partners a Mermaid Pendant from a creepy Old Mariner that shows up on rainy days,” Elliot smiles menacingly.

“As a sign of romantic interest?” I question him.

“Oh don’t listen to Elliot. That’s how you PROPOSE to someone in Pelican Town,” Leah informs me while giving Elliot a scolding nudge.

“I’m still creeped out by the story of the Old Mariner. None of us have ever had to go see him but we’ve heard stories,” Maru adds.

“Well I think I’m going to start with the bouquet,” I say sarcastically to Elliot.

“If you think that’s best,” Elliot shrugs as he lets out a laugh.

“You can get one from Pierre first thing tomorrow,” Penny tells me.

“So have you guys done anything freaky yet?” Sam all of a sudden asks. My face goes beat red.

“That’s never going to happen any time soon. She only just accepted her sexuality. She isn’t going to want to do anything let that. We will probably take it slow,” I nervously reply.

“Well you guys already made out to some extent whether you remember it or not. That counts for something,” Leah adds.

“I give it a week,” Shane grumbles from his usual place beside the fireplace. He has been eavesdropping the whole time. I feel my face heat up even more.

“Guys chill! It’s not going to be anything like that. You guys see how Haley is with me,” I try to explain. Everyone raises an eyebrow and awkwardly scratches their head. I hear a few faint coughs as well.

“Yeah, that doesn’t really help your case. We do see how she is around you that’s why we are giving it a week…” Elliot whispers to me.

“I don’t know what you guys are seeing but you gotta get your heads out of the gutter,” I disappointedly shake my head but let out a chuckle to let them know I’m only joking.

“Alright, you better get home before you burst with embarrassment. I know you are dying to sleep so you can run over to Pierre’s first thing in the morning,” Leah takes me by the shoulders and turns me to the door.

“Damn right. Bye guys!” I yell back as I speed walk to the door.

I’m hoping that when I get home and my head hits the pillow I can fall right asleep. I don’t want her waiting another day for me to show my interest in her. She may start thinking I don’t like her back!

What if I'm too late and she has changed her mind? I begin overthinking.

Will she still like me tomorrow? Maybe she was just in a state of delusion and she didn’t know she confessed?

I try to shake the thoughts from my brain but I can’t help overthinking. I really want this to work out. This is the first time I have ever put effort into trying to be with a girl. Haley is different from everyone I have ever met and I don’t want to mess this up.

Love Story

You were nervous. It was now winter break, and you were going home to visit your mortal family. This wasn't what you were nervous about, you loved them and you were excited to see them. The part you were nervous about was Leo. He was supposed to be going with you, staying with your family for the break. And your family hated Leo.

You didn't know why they felt this way, but you knew that when you had proposed the idea of Leo staying with you, they had turned up their noses. They had said yes, wanting you to be happy, but it was clear that Leo wasn't exactly welcome.

You had tried to warn him and apologize for whatever they might say or do, but he just smiled. "No sweat, corazón," he had said. "I can make anyone like me." Yeah... right.

The first week of winter break was... awkward. You'd spend time with Leo, but he wasn't allowed in your room. He would sleep in the guest room and you'd have meals together, but they were always tense. Your family grilled him with questions, but no matter what he said, he just didn't earn any points with them.

It wouldn't be until Christmas Day, when a horribly-timed chimera would attack your family's home, that Leo would gain their approval. It was 6:37pm, and you were just about to sit down for Christmas dinner, when it burst through the living room window, shattering it and causing your half-siblings to scream.

Thankfully, you and Leo were able to keep its focus away from your mortal family, but unfortunately, that meant it was focused on you. You and Leo fought side by side, him pulling item after item out of his toolbelt and setting traps, while you used your fanciest footwork and your (weapon of choice) training at camp to keep it sufficiently distracted.

It worked well for a bit, but one missed step can mean a lot in battle. You had stepped a bit too close to the beast, and one of its lion paws smacked you back, hard. You went flying backwards into the wall, hitting your head and slumping down to the ground.

You couldn't breathe.

You knew that you had to get up, you needed to help Leo kill this thing and protect your family, but you couldn't breathe or move, and your head was swimming.

What Leo saw was his partner, who he loved more than anything, get thrown against the wall. He saw you lying motionless on the floor, the chimera stalking towards you, its mouths salivating. He began to panic before jumping into action.

He jumped on its back, delaying its journey to you, but was ultimately thrown off. He became desperate and leaped in front of you, summoning fire to cook the sucker. Unfortunately, the chimera had the same idea. Fortunately, however, Leo was fireproof. The chimera was not. With one last bleat-roar, the monster turned to dust and crumbled to the carpet.

Immediately, Leo came over to you to see if you were alright. He helped you sit up and held your face in his hands, asking a million questions that you could only answer one at a time.

"I'm okay, Leo, really. You saved my life, thank you." He blushed a deep crimson but smiled. "Hey, I'm your super-awesome flame-throwing boyfriend. It's my job, mi rosa."

You were about to reply when your family came in from the doorway. "That was... what just happened?" Your step-parent looked confused. Your mortal parent just looked distressed. "Are you alright, y/n? What was it this time?"

Leo helped you off the floor and you faced your family. "Chimera, and I'm okay, thanks to Leo."

Your (mom/step mom) hurried over to Leo, grabbing his face in his hands before kissing his cheeks several times. "Thank you, Leo. You saved our y/n's life." She smiled at him before letting go of his face and hugging you tight. "Nah, it's nothing. I'd do anything for them." Leo blushed deeper, if that were possible.

Your (dad/step dad) made his way to the both of you, hugging you before patting Leo's shoulder. "You alright, kid?" Leo nodded, absolutely awestruck. He was talking to Leo! And there was no disgust in his eyes!

Sure, Christmas dinner had been a disaster, but Leo had gotten your parents' approval out of it, so he took it as a win.
