maybe you've done it before too but i just suddenly thought about energy efficient FL and thought maybe i could share here? alslgkf feel free to ignore-

but i kept thinking about what if foul legacy shrunk down whenever he's low energy?

he leaves the house barely fitting through the door and then by the time the afternoon arrives all you'll hear is... a soft whizzing? buzzing? it sounded all too sparkly to be a bug though.

before you know it - something hits your nose and it's like cotton on your face. it's legacy. he's roughly the size of a hamster, and even sounds like one with his chittering pitched up.

his size would depend on how much energy he burned for the day, sometimes he's barely changed from his usual towering height, others, he would hide in cups and mugs to surprise you. sometimes he's the size of a cat, purring on your lap and maybe even kneading biscuits.

if you're feeling a little upset, he'd dash out the door, come back palm sized and nuzzle into your hand just to be cute (he enjoys you tossing him high and catching him in that size too). He could also cozy up the crook of your neck, leaving ticklish pecks along your jaw.

sometimes that might end up in you waking up from naps and cuddled up to a regular sized ajax instead but i don't think that's a con to all this?

there are absolutely no cons to this, none whatsoever :)

the best part of the day is always coming home from work and guessing what size Foul Legacy will be- if he's normal-sized and towering over you, he'll probably be right at the door, waiting to sweep you into his arms. if he's small, however, he hides around the house for you to find him, under beds and blankets and inside teacups or bowls. there's always a little chirrup of delight when you do find him, easily able to pick him up due to his smaller size and cradle him either in your arms or the palms of your hands. he can absolutely tell when you're not feeling well, even if you haven't said anything, cheeping softly and rolling over in your hands so you can pet his head with your thumbs- it's very funny when he playfully bites your fingers like he's trying to eat them, he's so small that he resembles a fuzzy sparkly snake trying to unhinge its jaw as he gnaws on your skin. you can't help but laugh at the sweet sight, and Legacy happily begins letting out a tiny purr when he sees your eyes glow with that familiar brightness

it's optimal to run errands on the days Legacy is tiny since you can tuck him into your pocket or the collar of your shirt or even a scarf, if you're wearing one! he prefers to curl up and bury himself against your neck, his purrs sounding like a light buzzing as you pick up your groceries and drop off your mail. you can lift a singular strawberry up to your shoulder without looking, and quick as a whip little claws reach out and snatch it, Foul Legacy nibbling and crunching the sweet fruit with delight. of course, you'll have to set him down somewhere warm and cozy once you get home since he's used up so much energy, a tiny yawn coming from his fanged maw as he settles in for a nap. wait an hour or two, though, and you'll be approached from behind by a normal-sized Legacy, wrapping his arms around your waist and lifting you off the ground so he can nuzzle his head affectionately against your neck

When he sees you crying, he is instantly concerned.

And then, when you run up and hug him, he's even more concerned as he hugs back, gently placing his hand on your head and rubbing your back comfortingly.

"My love? What is the matter, dear?

He gently moves his hand from the back of your head to cup your cheek when you look at him with them big ol wet eyes.

"I just love you so muuuuccch!"

He looks taken aback for a moment, surprised by that response.

Then he chuckles warmly and looks at you with all the love and adoration in the world

"My beloved, you and your love mean the world to me. Your brilliant radiance is more than enough to light up even the darkest corners of my mind. I cannot dream of spending my days without you, but if such a day were to ever occur, I would carry your memory with me at all times with all the warmth and love in my soul."

This makes you cry even more

"Aaaaaa I love you so much...."

He gently presses his forehead to yours.

"I love you too, my dearest."

And then he kisses you softly.

Afterward, he sits down with you, holding you gently.

Furina

When you come up to her crying, she's instantly panicking.

Oh no did she do something wrong? Did she say something that upset you??? Has she been neglecting you??? Did she forget something important? Oh no oh no oh no-

And then you hug her and she's like. Okay. Did someone else do something to upset you? She's not sure what she can do now that she's no long on the archon throne, but she'll try whatever she has to! Or maybe something else happened, maybe something that has nothing to do with other people, maybe some horrible thing happened to you like what happened to her.

"S-S/O? Are you okay?? What happened, what's wrong?"

Then you look at her with those big ol wet eyes and she turns to mush inside.

"I just love you muuuuuccccchhh..."

For several moments she just stares at you, not knowing how to respond.

And then she also starts getting emotional

"Oh."

She hugs you back really tightly, burying her face against you.

"I... I love you tooooo...."

And now you're both crying and telling each other how much you love each other.

Neuvillette

The moment he sees you crying, the beginning of rain can be heard outside.

He absolutely hates seeing you upset in any way and he immediately wants to just hold you in his arms and take all your stress and pain.

He immediately walks over and sits next to you.

"S/O? Are you alright? What's happened?"

He is a little surprised when you hug him, but not entirely, and he hugs back, gently rubbing your back.

"It's alright, dear, take your time."

"I just- I just- I love you so muuuuuuuucccchhhh..."

Well he certainly was not expecting that.

It starts raining outside even heavier.

"Ah... Is that... Not a good thing...? I am uncertain as to why this would make you sad..."

You uh... You'll have to explain to him that crying doesn't necessarily only happen when you're sad, but just when you're overwhelmed by An Emotion. Any emotion. Even positive ones.

He won't really understand all that well but he's trying 🥺 He'll definitely be thinking about it for the rest of the week and might even do some research about it if he manages to find the time.

In the moment, though, he just holds you and tells you how much he loves you as well. He is a little confused when this makes you cry more, but he doesn't say anything.

Kaveh

Like Furina, he also panics instantly the moment he sees you crying.

He's much more frantic and open about it though.

"Oh no, darling, sweetheart, are you okay?! What's wrong?! Did I do something wrong, what happened?!"

Then you hug him and he's surprised.

"S/O...?"

"I just- I love you so muuuuccchh!"

Kaveh.exe has stopped working

"Wha- You- I-"

My poor boy instantly melts into a puddle, becoming a complete emotional wreck.

This man is so fragile he just shatters like glass and the dam breaks and out come the tears, and now he's crying harder than you.

He somewhat incoherently babbles about how much he loves you and hugs you so tightly, just completely falling apart.

... He may have also been drinking a bit before this.

Okay, not a bit. A lot.

And now, even though you were the one who was crying initially, you're gonna have to sit down with him and try to calm him down

Itto

Also one of the panickers. Except he's stupid about it.

He actually has absolutely no idea how to deal with someone who's sad. He doesn't get sad often himself and his gang aren't the type to get sad often either.

So the MOMENT you hug him crying, he is freaking the fuck out

"Oh, nononono, baby, don't cry, don't cry! Hey it's okay, it's alright, don't cry!"

When he can't get you to calm down right away, he's immediately thinking of other solutions.

"Hey, ya wanna go see Granny Oni? She always knows exactly what to do to cheer me up when I'm sad!"

You have to stop him from picking you up and running off with you to take you to Granny Oni.

"No- Itto. I'm not sad, it's just.... I love you so muuuuch..."

He blinks a couple times.

"What"

For once, the man is speechless.

But only for a couple moments.

"Wait, but if you're not sad, then why are you crying???"

You'll have to explain it like with Neuvillette, except Itto's dumb so it'll take a lot longer for him to pick it up.

You end up spending so long trying to explain it that you end up not crying anymore and just laughing at him

And that just makes him more confused

"You were just crying a minute ago why are you laughing???"

When she sees you crying she is surprisingly sweet about it.

She walks over and gently cups your cheeks, tilting your head to look up at her.

"What's the matter, dear? Are you alright?"

Her voice is so soft and gentle.

She isn't too surprised when you hug her and she hugs back, gently rubbing your back.

“I just- I love you so muuuucccchhh….”

She’s a little surprised by that response for a moment.

But once she processes it, she is just so endeared by it.

She looks at you with such a lovesick smile.

Like she feels like her heart is about to burst with love omg

She chuckles gently and pats your head.

“I love you too, dear.”

Afterward, she kisses you on the forehead, and then on the lips.

All she wants to do after that is hold you gentle in her arms

And she’s going to do exactly that

She takes you to your bed and gently holds you so that your head is on her chest

Doesn’t matter if you’re bigger than her. Your face? On the booba

So we were discussing Treasure, and Apex mentioned how it seemed like the story of Narcisses, who was tricked into watching his reflection forever. I've definitely seen lots of people saying he might be evil or Treasure is feeding into his ego, BUT. I'm gonna shock everyone and say it's not.

I mentioned how Jack seemed to be imprisoned, and Cecilia pointed out Treasure...

LOOKS LIKE ITS HAPPENING IN A BIRD CAGE. Do you notice the pillars curving around him??

This. Ana mentioned how he was like a songbird locked in a cage, which lead Cecilia to figure out this is the antithesis to Locked Out Of Heaven, since the bg is Heaven like, so this time he's Locked In Heaven.

BUT. MY THEORIES.

This whole time Jack has been distanced from the other dancers. The selfie, him smiling still in the trailer, his Twitter post, the list goes on and on. So I think Nightswan is gonna isolate Jack. AND THE WAY SHE DOES THATTT AAAAAA

So we see Jack look into his reflection, and supposedly see his mirrored form- color pallet similar to Nightswan, everything switching sides, and most notably his theater makeup missing (what do we know about Nightswans feelings of his performing??) But we see this more "Jack Swan" Jack perform to himself in a gilded cage. SO. I think Treasure is showing how Nightswan wants to isolate and imprison Jack in this gilded cage where he's happy and the only thing he doesn't have is his freedom- which is why this Jack is so happy. This Jack doesn't have what saved him last time- his friends. He's performing to himself because that's the only person he'll have in this reality. Another thing- the emoji the JD team picked a trophy to symbolize this map. Trophies belong on a shelf- nit meant to be touched, taken down, or messed with.

His theater makeup missing is actually so important because Nightswan both literally and figuratively took away his ability to be perceived by others. Litteraly, the audience wouldn't be able to see his face. Figuratively, no one can see what's really going on with Jack since he's isolated and no one can save him this time.

Treasure isn't about Jack's ego or hin turning evil- its about Nightswan making the perfect son who can't leave this time... one she can treasure forever.

aftg is eating up my brain so badly, I have a constant stream of ideas and I’m shit at actually writing them but I need to get them out of my system bc it’s suffocating, so:

• an au where king and sir turn out to be shapeshifters so andreil magically acquire two spoiled kids

• andreil saying to each other ‘IU’ instead of ‘I hate you’ or ‘I love you’ or anything else. they use it in every kind of situation bc it’s the testament of how much they feel about each other and that’s more important to them than anything else. they’re fighting? IU (I hate you, I’m scared for you, I’m scared of how much power you have over me, I still want you to stay) they’re having sex? IU (I trust you, I love you, I’m going to take care of you, I’ll make you feel good) they’re breaking down? IU (I’ve got you, I’m here, I’m going to stay, I’m going to help best I can)

• a fic where neil dies in baltimore and we see the aftermath told from his perspective as a ghost: introspection, character study, cannibalism, polaroids, inspired by strangers by ethel cain:

• neil taking great pleasure in buying andrew expensive things and seeing him use them, not out of possessiveness but bc he truly just wants andrew to be happy and taken care of. and andrew learning to accept those gifts bc neil never wants anything in return, not even gratitude

• neil getting drugged at eden’s by some stranger and proceeding to glue himself to andrew’s side. the next day andrew is frustrated by that show of trust and he asks how neil could know that it wasn’t him doing the drugging. to which neil replies that he didn’t know that, but he knew that andrew wouldn’t drug him or let anyone touch him without a good reason. so it was okay, he just needed to trust andrew’s judgement and stick by him. and then andrew realising just how much faith neil has in him and having a breakdown about it

• after neil’s bad days, andrew spoons neil and keeps his hand wrapped around neil’s throat while they’re sleeping. it makes neil feel safe and grounded and makes andrew drunk on trust and control (bonus scene: foxes witnessing this one day and completely failing at understanding their dynamic)

• neil getting into a habit of spitting after his time at the nest bc riko used to spit into his mouth and make him swallow it as a power play. whenever neil remembers it the thought of any spit in his mouth, even his own, makes him sick. so he spits

• whenever aaron is on the edge of relapsing instead of telling anyone he just trails after andrew 24/7 bc he knows his brother won’t let him destroy his life

• tlou au where andrew is traveling the world in search of his twin brother and he’s hired to transport neil somewhere. meanwhile, they fall in love with each other and they find out andrew was supposed to deliver neil into his father’s hands (andrew promised neil safety and he refuses to break his promise so this becomes the first job andrew ever failed)

• andreil breaking up and neil desperately trying to prove to himself that he can move on so he takes the page from andrew’s books and starts sleeping around, but he only succeeds in hurting himself and feeling miserable (they get back in the end bc I need them to be happy)

• OH MY GOD HORNY KANDREIL CLASSICAL MUSIC AU!! kevin (and neil?) playing violin and drew being freakishly good at playing every instrument he ever touches but especially the piano. kev giving a performance and andreil sitting in the first row, neil getting a hard on bc kevin looks so good in his suit, with slightly greying hair combed back and passion burning in his eyes. andrew discretely edging him on, palming neil’s dick through the fancy suit’s material and keeping eye contact with kevin the whole time

AND SO MUCH MORE AAAAAA. this is insufferable, I’m writing fics in my head to fall asleep and then I’m waking up literally quoting aftg (genuinely happened last week, I felt like a lunatic) and then I’m going to uni and I spend every lecture thinking about how I can use my degree to better write about those stupid murderous college athletes. what kind of crack did you put in this series, nora?????

Headcanons: (this is just me projecting more because it was a lot of fun last time)

Leo has ADHD and a lot of head trauma 

And because of that, he will not remember a singular thing the group says 

If they want him to remember something important they have to tell him and then text him a reminder

And then text him another reminder to mark the day on both his calendars (he has one on his wall and his phone)

If they miss a singular one of these steps he won't remember and then he will blame them

“You never told me this!” is a sentence that leaves his mouth often

Leo gets overstimulated very easily which sucks because he’s an extrovert 

He wants to spend time with his family all of the time but if too much is going on at once he’ll break down

When the boys were younger Splinter tried to force them to wear clothes and all of them hated it

Donnie hated denim he said it made his skin itch and if it was too tight he couldn't breathe

Leo used to hate loose-fitting clothes

If any fabric brushed up against him he would get irritated 

But now tight clothes make him want to crawl out of his skin

Raph can’t wear harsh fabrics they make him feel restricted and he hates that

Mikey hates the feeling of tags touching his skin

I mean don’t get me wrong they all hate it but if any tag touches Mikey’s skin he will start angry crying

Mikey and Leo have a lot of the same vocal stims

And sometimes they will say the same thing at the same time and repeat it back and forth like parrots

Raph will be hanging out in his room and he’ll just hear his siblings yell “yippie! AAAAAA” over and over again

And when someone says something funny Leo will repeat it over and over again

It doesn’t matter that the joke isn't funny anymore he’ll repeat that joke for the next week

Raph’s vocal stims are usually simple it’s a lot of grunting/coughing 

And sometimes when he’s really frustrated he’ll scream

And god forbid the group listens to a song together because they will sing a specific lyric until the day they die (or until they listen to a new song)

And even though Donnie loves his siblings a whole lot if he has to hear them sing “I’M LIQUID SMOOTH COME TOUCH ME TOO” at the top of their lungs one more time he’s gonna snap

Leo taps his fingers and feet when he’s thinking and if you try and get him to stop his brain will short circuit 

When he was younger Splinter tried to stop him from doing it and Leo screamed at the top of his lungs

He never tried to stop him after that 

When the boys get excited they’ll flap their hands

Mikey will often jump up and down and run in a circle 

And Leo will rock back and forth on his feet or he’ll hop from foot to foot

When Donnie is overwhelmed he rocks back and forth and bites his nails

And Raph can’t sit still when he’s stressed 

He often paces back and forth while scratching at his skin

When April saw the boys messing with their hands she got them fidget necklaces 

Leo cried when April gave it to him (it’s one of his favorite things in the world)

In return, Donnie makes her a lot of fidget toys 

Because if she’s not constantly moving she will lose her mind

The twins can pick just about any lock

When they were younger they found a lockpicking kit and fell in love 

They have regular competitions to see who is faster 

Leo can’t hear out of his left ear

After everything he experienced in the movie, I would be surprised if he could hear at all (I mean come on the poor boy got tossed around like a hacky sack)

If the group whispers around him he will yell at the top of his lungs “what did you say?”

The combination of ADHD and hearing loss makes him very loud 

And his family has to constantly remind him to keep it down 

Leo will hide his more serious injuries from his family and when they ask him about them he just jokes around

He dislocated his shoulder twice and just popped it back in like it was no big deal

And when Mikey asked him why his arm was in a sling he told him “oh my shoulder is a little fucked up don't worry about it”

When his family confronted him about this all he said was “I thought it was normal”

Raph almost fainted when Leo said “wait y’all didn’t start to lose your hearing at 15? That's weird”

And they all know he’s fucking around because he’s the medic he knows that it’s not normal to dislocate and relocate your shoulder and then go about your day 

And that’s what worries them

whenever you’re at home, you’re always touching. no exceptions, even when he has work-related things to do, like calls with the team or sponsors. if they’re video meetings, he’ll do them in your shared office so he can spend more time with you while you’re also working. but if they’re just phone calls, especially the random short ones at odd times of the day, he’ll just answer the phone with you sitting on him on the couch.

but just having you in his lap isn’t enough. usually, within a couple minutes of the call, he’ll already have his hands down your shirt and your bra flung across the room. and no one has to know. you love the sound of his voice when he’s giving interviews or talking to his engineers and when he’s done being Mr. Important, you end up making out for the rest of the evening.

oh I could go on about the ways he keeps you close, even when he’s doing other things, and it’s just something for you two to share … it’s a good thing he’s usually on mute for the calls unless it’s his turn to talk because sometimes you give him the attention right back …

Does anyone, outside of Mystake, even know the overlord is a thing that existed? Also it's kinda funny that a 2000+ god has beef with a traumatised 14 year old

Is there a scene with Misako and Mystake, or like more scenes with Mystake, cause she's awesome, and when does Miranda get her prothethics, cause she's also awesome ( I have a newfound appreciation for these two characters after rereading Chp 1-49 of book 2) Also i like how you weave plot threads that are like seasons away, like the morro and Kai comparision, or playing the long game with Harumi's arc, making her part of the crew before scarring her for life (why, why did you do this to me)

And the most important question: do the ninja/ high school gang go to Dairy Dragon in Book 2?

Also does Garmadon know that the Overlord is the reason behind his father's death? -> He knows about the Overlord being a threat before Time Began (and so does Wu, if they apparently grew up hearing stories about the FSM's fights with him as per Crystalized), but Garmadon was not told how it connected to why his father "died" out of nowhere (only Wu was told, when he was given his father's staff and the protective robes). Saying more is borderline spoilers, so *zip*

Does anyone, outside of Mystake, even know the overlord is a thing that existed? -> The FSM Fam + Koko + The Order and Olivia indirectly but at this moment in time that is it. Everyone else is gonna be completely blindsided by the revelation.

Also it's kinda funny that a 2000+ god has beef with a traumatised 14 year old -> Overlord: Dammit it I was enjoying that nap of eternal rest and oblivion, what do you mean I have to wake up and do my job now???

Mystake also gets a lot of scenes with Wu, a couple with Lloyd, and at least one with Jesse, but she's got a sizable role to play in S2 regardless!

when does Miranda get her prosthetics cause she's also awesome-> It's in S2, but I don't wanna tell ya precisely when cuz it'll ruin the surprise. But I *can* tell you that we will be seeing more of her overall though!

Ok had a long car ride so guess what EP11 THOUGHTS LETS GOOOO:

Couple little things first, starting with WHY DID I HAVE TO SEE NALA SE AGAIN. I mean I knew logically we would see her again but that doesn’t mean I was ready for it >:( i do not forgive u for fives u cruel cruel long lady

Then the batch telling Cid off!!! Slay!! Absolutely slay get it that is so important, especially that Omega was directly calling her out for leaving them stranded. I’m really interested to see where that storyline goes and if they either end up leaving Cid (and probably adding to Omegas trust issues in the process cause WOW everyone is letting her down these days (echo i love u but ur girl is not ok)), or if they stay with her and she gets some sort of redemption arc? Idk, can’t decide which seems more likely, but all I can say is I hope next episode has absolutely nothing to do with it. Like it’s an interesting storyline but… yeahh…

And oh god, the boys walking around the ship, why was Wrecker the only one being smart??? Like Tech just ran off on his own, knowing full well the creature was most likely still on the ship, Hunter had his just mwah chefs kiss line of “Whatever did this wasn’t human,” like… HMMM HUNTER I HADNT NOTICED (“And where there’s a farm, there’s usually a farmer!”) But Wrecker was actually paying attention!! He picked up the volt-staff (which like yeah he was gonna anyways but it was still smart) and he made note of the walls being reinforced meaning whatever they were holding must be something strong. And later in the episode he sees the Empire snag the zillo beast and he takes note of how “They’re not killing it. They’re taking it.” Like I love those little moments where Wrecker just passively shows off how smart he is?? He plays the big goofy guy since it’s just kinda his personality, but he still knows his stuff. Hell, he made a rocket launcher out of parts from a separatist tank in less than a minute while under fire from the enemy?? And it worked perfectly? And repeatedly??? Anyway Wrecker spiel over but the man is a genius and I love him.

Tech and Omega’s moments in this episode, oh i lOVE THEM. Him messing up and scaring her then kinda not knowing how to fix it, Omega unplugging his datapad to make him get going, Tech immediately covering her while they ran from explosion omG I LOVE THEM. (like of all of them I think Hunter, Omega and Wrecker are the safest? They kinda can’t be taken out; you need the leader, you can’t lose the kid, and Wrecker is pretty much the majority of the comic relief. And Tech is safe-ish too cause he’s just such a character type that I feel like you can’t get rid of him. But uh… Echo and Cross are not safe. They are very much so in danger, maybe Echo most of all and oh god I am scared for him. And also Cody if he ever comes back. …where is cody..?))

OK and now for bigger things like oMG ECHO AND REX HOLY SHIBSJSBSJBSKZNZKDNOEBEKSNSKLSMSNSJXLDNSKNSKS YES YES ABSOLUTELY CALL ECHO AND REX I NEED TO SEE THEMMMMMM!!! The way Hunter did his little main character moment slow zoom when he said that? There’s absolutely no way that’s not important to this weeks episode or at least the one after that so AAAAAA I AM SO EXCITEDDDDD. The batch has needed Echo so much in every single episode since he left; Tech going off on his own in this one felt so wrong because Echo should’ve been right there with himmm!! (i mean he should 100% be with rex but like you get what i mean)

And at the end when Lama Su mentions kidnapping Omega again? That feels equally important. Not only is the Empire going to have to admit that Clone Force 99 isn’t dead, but they’re going to have to start hunting them down again to get Omega. And to me, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Crosshair being ordered to hunt Omega down in particular, since he knows the batch so well and would know best how to snatch Omega from them. (Also like story-wise… who else would it be? …Boba?) Now would that be so incredibly painful and awful to see? Yes, yes it would. Am I still incredibly excited to see it? ALSO YES.

And with both of these things, the Echo and Rex mention and a target on Omega, as well as the fact that this next episode is (i’m pretty sure?) confirmed to have Crosshair in it, I’m really really hoping the episode follows either of them (Cross or Rex and Echo) and their paths end up crossing?? Like maybe Crosshair gets his orders to hunt down Omega, and in trying to track the batch he ends up finding a lead on just Echo? Or maybe it follows Rex and Echo looking into the zillo beast and in trying to find out more they run into Crosshair? And maybe they find out abt Cody??? And anD AND OOO maybe Echo has a moment where he finally decides, fuck it, I can’t leave my brother with the empire any longer and he like tries to reason with Cross? Idk but either way I am REALLY hoping they cross paths somehow plEASE ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE SEEN EITHER OF THEMMM 😭😭😭

Does Lambert's wool have the irl affect on cats with lanolin to any degree? The visual of the misconceptions from being affected even a little. Of some trickery while the Lamb is on the other end of camp, Lambing.

Does Narinder have less patience when things derail from his own plans and priorities? You mentioned a scene with reflection. If Narinder recognized how he's persisted as he always has, yet been changed in the process in ways he never foresaw, do you think he'd foresake his way of life in the present if he thought he could claw a path to the inevitable control over all he once had as a Bishop? If not, would he be able to come face to face with what could be more important that said authority and power? Can he see it written on his own face if he looks in a mirror?

Are there any superstitions Narinder may be aware of due to age that have faded with time or changed drastically? Would the Lamb ever weave elements of their culture into that of the cult, keeping the ways of the Lambs alive in a way beyond being the last? Do they look back after having to move forward for so long? Can they, when so much has happened?

Narinder's tolerance for dealing with unplanned situations.. heavily depends on which stage of life he's in. As a Bishop, he was more of a go-with-the-flow type anyway (he is death after all, there's no rush to do his job because he'll get them all in the end anyway :) teehee). As a follower, though... it's much more complex. He keeps his cool 99.9% of the time but he'll be frustrated as hell about it. And while I love where you're going with the reflection idea, Narinder considering all of that is way down the line at this point! He doesn't even recognize that he is persisting because he's experiencing something he hasn't quite had to deal with before: impatience. He's spent so long waiting that he can wait a little more... is what he tells himself, anyway. But after the final boss battle, he's at what he believes to be rock bottom and has nothing to be patient for anymore. He's tired of waiting and is ready to fucking fight for it. (Except he can't for multiple reasons and he hasn't accepted that either.) Baby steps for him. It's a slow burn after all.

Okay these questions are just getting fun now gkjdgkjhdlg I did do karaoke in front of all the other grad students in my department at a Halloween party while dressed as the Lamb lmao. AAAAAA i think i'm going insane about tcpootw... idk how i haven't found it earlier but i've reread it a few times since yesterday and it still hits. the slice of life vibes are thru the roof and i have never loved reading something that feels so mundane in my life more. it feels like freshly washed laundry in the way that i can really visualize and imagine your writing. the way cleo seems like she's moved on and she's healing with her new friends in her new city contrasted with bdubs still living in the home he remembers he always wanted to leave and the way they were horrible for each other but etho brings them back together for a single week but it's not like anything changes and i'm dying to just hear any thoughts about bdubs after. does he ever find it in him to work through his problems? does he ever talk (or not talk) with joel about it on the porch? or is he forcing himself to deal with it completely alone? is this man actually just going to ignore everything and just miss etho in silence and not talk with cleo and keep walking those trails and trees like they used to and driving an hour to get groceries on a tuesday and not taking care of himself until he breaks just like those bracelets on his wrist?

(also i love a good backstory, if you wanna share how they broke up, if it was fast, if it was expected, if it fell apart like they knew it wasn't going to last, i would appreciate hearing it :D)

AWWWWWWE, Thank you so much!! This fic means so much to me, genuinely. I started writing this as a way to deal with the emotions and struggles I face in my small town. I had the ending nailed down before anything, and it is so important to this story. Before I answer any of your questions, before you keep reading, I want you to sit back and imagine if this story ended with Bdubs opening up to Joel and them being besties, or if it ended with Cleo staying with no preperation to leave, or if Bdubs went back with her. It doesn't make sense, does it? It was just a week, not much changes in a week.

"Does he ever find it in him to work through the problems?" I don't actually have a future planned for them, but I see two possibilities laid out before me. The first being at Joel's hands, he takes the liberties to talk his issues out at Bdubs, to tell him every word Etho complained to him over and over while drunk one night. Bdubs is smaller in muscle and height, he can't body Joel out of his house and he's forced to sit there and listen to so many of his fuck ups spilled out to his face, no hesitation, and he sits and dwells on it. He's forced to reckon with it. He decides to get out. He won't work the same stupid little job and spend all his money on weed. (He doesn't know the cost of living in a city). He grabs a train ticket to the first city close enough to afford with what's in his wallet for the next day after he makes the decision, and he goes, and he learns, and he betters. But I don't really see that happening. This story is cynical, it's sad, it's bitter. I think, I think he doesn't. I think he falls further into substance abuse by the years, he stays broke, he keeps struggling, he doesn't own up to anything, and he doesn't grow. But the rest of his life, it is up to you. He can do what you want him to do.

All their discussions are purely things like splitting the garbage, or getting Joel to fix his car cheap when he's struggling for cash. I think a year or so down the line Joel finds a different town with a little mechanics shop that's willing to hire him, and he finds another little house to rent, and he lives his life away from the pain. He was settled with Etho, but he's restless without him. So no, I don't think they talk. I think there are very few times they end up on the porch together, and if they do, one finishes what they were doing quick.

He's dealing with it alone and he's burning the bridges, but he's not burning the bridges so that he can deal with it alone, he's burning the bridges because he isn't dealing with it. His hurt is hurting everyone near him and none of them care enough to deal with it. If he's going to be hostile or interfere or toxic or anything he's just going to get dropped. It's not an excuse for his behavior even if it's the reason, unconsciously.

I feel like at this point I've answered most of this. I just want to talk about the bracelets. So I really like your take on what the bracelets represent here. I left them open to your (the readers) interpretation on purpose. So keep letting them mean what they mean to you. I just want to discuss what they mean to you. The bracelets are intended to be those string friendship bracelets. Etho, Cleo, and Bdubs each got two, they were in the other persons assigned colors when they were made. Cleo's are long gone, she cut them off. Etho when he died still had the remains of Bdubs' in his winter jackets pocket cuz he never got around to throwing it out but he lost Cleo's when it broke roughly around a year after she moved. To me they represent holding on to something you dont have anymore. Bdubs still has his because he isn't the slightest bit moved on. Cleo cut hers off when she made plans to move because she was fully ditching them at that point. Etho's respectively represent giving up on ever getting Cleo back in his life, and not wanting Bdubs back but seeing him over and over and not quite moving on because of it.

He pulled blankets out of the closet and claimed the spare room while muttering. Cleo and Bdubs sat there staring at the hall for quite some time before Cleo turned to him and said she was done too. She pulled more blankets out of the hall closet and shoved them into Bdubs' chest, telling him he messed up the most and to go sleep on the couch, that he knows the state of her back. And he did. It was cold. But the breakup had been building since a month into the relationship. Cleo was fiercely independent, she didn't want them invading her space and her time, she'd spend it with them when she wanted to at the end of the day. Bdubs was far too dependent, showing up at their respective jobs with shitty food and staying too long and clinging to their sides, and complaining and worrying about what they were doing when they shooed him away, and at home all he did was talk to himself, talk over the other two. Cleo learned to talk over him. Etho learned to be even quieter. He developed three personalities. One was for cleo, where he left her alone until she sought him out and where he talked "honestly" when prompted, but only when prompted, where he knew her schedule but only showed up when she needed rides due to sudden weather change. One for bdubs where he was quiet, where he arranged his schedule to accommodate his "random" appearances, where he made him think he knew enough to never feel obligated to ask questions about him but to participate just enough for Bdubs to think it was a two sided conversation. And one for when all three of them were in the same area together. One where he was quiet, he was small, nothing about him existed until the other two stopped arguing and competeing for space. Which never happened but he said he'd take what was left over if it did. There was so much conflict its a miracle they lasted as long as they did (of course they did, Etho's parents were drunks, Bdubs' always fight, Cleo's stopped talking to her when she became to feminine, and expressed interest in being a girl, none of them knew what healthy was, they just knew theyd made some sort of commitment and they used to have fun, so they stuck around) but inevitably they all gave up.

"Clay, it's good to have you back"

It looks like Merlock's spell worked and Clay is normal again, still stone but at least he's not trying to kill us anymore

I have no idea what happened here but according to Lance Clay lost his memory and started calling himself "Calamity Clay" which is the funniest name I've ever heard I might start calling him that

The atmosphere finally feels lighter and even the people of Nothing Hill are happy, they're throwing a big celebration!

Oops I mean Stinkin' Rich And Happy Hill that's what they call it now, that's why there's a celebration! they're finally rich enough to buy their hill back

I know we went to the king's party not too long ago but I can't say no to parties, especially after all the crying we did last night

Besides we didn't have much fun at that party anyways, we can stay and enjoy the celebration a little

I don't even remember what I was worried about for the last few days, probably something stupid and not important

to the angst first Cus that’s what’s most prominent and what you all need to know; Alterna and the situation worsening there, especially with Craig being kidnapped, ended up accidentally taking a little bit more priority than regularly checking in on Four. I imagine alterna doesn’t have good reception so to check in on her daughter while doing agent work Marie would have to regularly step back out to the edge of the crater, which used to be manageable Cus they weren’t doing much important things, but when Craig got kidnapped and Possom came along Marie was able to do that a lot less to the point where she couldn’t do it at all for a while. Four already was dealing with separation anxiety away from her family for this long, and the fact that check ins from her mom and eventually all 3 of them became nonexistent made those thoughts kick you that they were abandoning her or maybe something horrible happened and either way they wouldn’t come back.

So when finally things WERE all dealt with and Four had the okay to come to splatsville for a bit to visit before everyone had to move back to inkopolis, she’d already gone through this long period of being away from her main support group (she distanced herself from eight a bit because she was becoming a little self destructive), and then when coming to splatsville should’ve been just a happy reunion, she kinda got thrown into a lot at once. Everything with Alterna, the fact that instead of contacting her they hired someone else (no one told her at first Craig hired Possom, not the others, and they didn’t contact her for her safety not that she wasn’t good enough), but also Marie was developing feelings for shiver at that point as this was all a little bit after the end of storymode, and four just did NOT have time to process it all and all the sudden changes in her life. It all just resulted in a mix of her bottling stuff in and not telling her family and gf about how she felt with them all gone and hardly contacting her, but also being a lot clingy with all of them and hating the idea of being away from them. Also she really didn’t like Shiver at first lol

But going to fluff ofc Callie Marie and Three have time to calm down from the whole thing and focus on others now, including the fact that four is acting off and refuses to acknowledge it. Marie’s more than glad to let her daughter be clingy so her and callie can take time to be with her again because they did miss her a lot, and Three puts a halt on all agent work so she can spend time with her girlfriend a lot more and also try and figure out what happened. To skip a lot of beating around the bush eventually four does break and admit to them how much she missed them all and how worried and lonely and scared she was (conveniently leaving out the stuff with Mariver Cus that’s an issue for the future) and how everything was just happening too fast and she couldn’t handle it. So the 3 take time to let four adjust on her own terms better instead of throwing her into things, letting her ask about Alterna and apologizing for going MIA and promising itd all never happen again, and just taking all the time they need in splatsville to be together and calm down until they can do it all in inkopolis where everyone can be home again.

How is it like to live with Chibi Snood Sephiroth?

Oh hello! I realize that while i go into depth about the Snood AU on twitter all the time, that I'm very quiet about it on here aaaaaa

It is important to understand first and foremost, that the Snood AU is 10000% self indulgent - i love Sephiroth, and I shamelessly ship him with EVERYONE. I am also an avid monster enthusiast.This AU was created primarily as an excuse to shove all my kinks and interests into one neat AU, where Sephiroth is the center of the universe and everyone loves him.

In order to understand what living with him is like, you must first understand the true nature of The Snood! the Big Naga Snood Sephiroth and the tiny Snood Sephiroth are actually one and the same! And while he may appear to be a Naga, he is actually a Deity (inspired by the Quetzalcoatl the winged serpent god - in his true form, The Snood is actually a several hundred meter long impossibly, horrifyingly large multi-winged serpent god.) in my AU, he is the very last of the gods of the land, and so he has to do all the important god things himself while only having a limited understanding of his own powers and this, along with other lore and backstory related things, are constant sources of stress and pain for him. That being said, he CAN still do many things, including changing his size - and shrinking himself down to chibi size is a very necessary escape for him. While in his larger forms he is constantly dealing with the stress of his existence, when he is tiny he can just.. be a little creature.

With that basic explanation outta the way - If you are living with the Snood, then its because you are an active, devoted member of his worshipping cult! He is a god after all, the ONLY surviving one, even, and everyone knows what he is. His most devoted followers have formed a very large and devoted cult (whom i dub The Snoodists) These cultists take care of The Snoods every whim and need, and your interactions with him would likely depend on your ranking among the cultists, and how patient and understanding you are with the troubled and capricious Snood. In his large form, The Snood is levelheaded and fairly calm and exudes a very serene (if intimidating) aura. However in his tiny Snoodling form all that is thrown out the window - The chibi Snood is chaotic, unhinged, and absolutely feral at times. Remember - this tiny form is his escape! he can be as rough and vicious as he wants, knowing that he is unlikely to actually cause any real lasting damage! he is able to be a spoilt brat, and throw tantrums, and ignore responsibilities, and commit atrocities! when he is Snoodling sized, he will snoodle his way wherever he pleases - technically he can do this in his larger forms too, but in his larger forms, there are constant worries and thoughts and traumas (from lore related events) that he cannot tune out -but he CAN tune them out in Snoodling form, due to the much more simplified way that his mind works in this form. he is still intelligent and able to respond to serious emergencies if needed - but he trusts his Snoodists not to bother him during these times unless its a real mass-destruction emergency. being a Snoodist watching over Diminutive Snood is actually very tiring and stressful at times, because he will get into anything and everything - and he will eat a LOT. you must be ready and prepared to provide constant snacks. When in his larger sizes the Snood actually eats very little, because the stress kills his appetite - but in his Snoodling form, he'll eat constantly to make up for all the skipped meals! If the Snoodling thinks you're taking too long to provide a snack he will try to eat you and he will not let go unless you provide a suitable snack instead. He will slither into your shirt (he likes how warm it is in there). he will maul your hand (he likes to play fight). he will pick fights with you hair (it looked at him funny) he will intentionally be difficult and messy (he loves baths and he wants to weed out those who would become close to the Snood purely for clout) It should be noted that there is a rigorous and thorough vetting process for which Snoodists receive clearance to actually be allowed close contact with the Snood - this is because the Snood doesnt actually understand things like personal space and mortal ideals for morality. His mind simply does not work that way, and for everyones safety, Snoodists must know exactly what they are getting into, before settling into a role that suits them.

anyway i could go on about the Snood forever - i have an obscene amount of lore written not only for him but for everyone else too! (for perspective, every single day within the hour of 3am pst, i write a lore thread about this AU on my twitter. I have been doing this for months now.)
