Zayne's subtle sub behavior pt. V

Zayne loves seeing you using his clothes. If you happen to use his dress shirt that he had thrown away in some corner of the bedroom the night before when you two were making out, oh, he's gonna have that image engraved on his synapses for a long, long time;

He would lend you his clothes, especially his scarfs, so when you return it to him, it would be smelling like you, and he could bury his face on the fabric while he's walking around the streets doing normal life tasks after his shifts at the hospital;

At that point, you can take everything, what's his is yours, he made that clear enough;

He's obsessed with you. To the point that he questioned himself if this kind of behavior is crossing the line of a healthy mind. But what can he do? The thoughts wouldn't simply stop, so why should he care about the answer?

That's why he contradicts himself. He always says to you that "couples should be able to spend time away from each other" just to confess later on that he got anxious thinking if you had eaten, if your mission went on well and you weren't hurt, wondering about every detail, hoping that you're thinking about him as much he's overthinking about you;

He'll drag you out of his car, in his arms, in a bride-style every time you end up sleeping during the rides;

He would be down bad the day you kissed the scars on his hands. Seriously, the soft sensation of such delicate and precious moment putted Zayne to the verge of crying. He thought that any abrut movement would make that scene ruin and disappear, so he just stayed still, admiring every detail, like it was a sweet yet fragile perfect dream;

Never would let you carry your bags. Any at all. Shopping bags, grocery store bags... he's carrying it for you. Your hands' only purpose is to be holding his hand or being warmed up in his coat's pockets. (That also applies to umbrellas, coats, and so on);

He's not able to keep eye contact. Zayne will gaze at your movements from the corner of his eyes, but the moment you bring him to face you, he won't be able to maintain eye contact;

He's not abble of doing the pepero game with you for this reason. Either he would turn shy trying to avoid eye contact or turn into the desperate men he is and pull you to a needy kiss. No in between;

That leads him to always wanting to share his candies with you, putting half of the chocolate in your mouth, then waiting for permission to taste the other half. No games like pepero. He wants the candy and your lips;

He would remember special dates. Every. Single. One. To the day you started dating, Zayne will already be playing what remarkable thing he can do for his 100th day relationship with you;

He would bring some silly play that you two used to do when you both were kids as a manner of flirting;

The only jewelry acesories this man will EVER use is his engagement ring. He only removes it to perform surgeries;

He 100% would refer you as "my girlfriend/wife." Talking to his colleagues at some work gathering? "My wife couldn't join us today. She's on an important mission at another city..." or when you're there, he would be all about "My wife this, my wife that..."

Zayne also would call you by your name, of course never reducing you as a possession of his. Rather than that, he would use that "nickname" to make them know he's your husband. Especially around the guys he knows that had at some point, even the fairest crush on you. He likes being owned. Zayne would make it clear to everyone;

This man will "fix" his glasses with the hand his engagement ring is on, every time a patient tries to flirt with him;

Zayne would be on the verge of losing his composure when you tied his tie. Your concentrated eyes, your face so close to him for just kiss. Oh, and the soft pull you gave on the tie, that remembers the sensation of your pulling his play collar by a leash some nights ago.

Hey i've been thinking about your AU where Chuuya joins the ADA and his ability reverts go being an ability amplifier.

What happens when he and dazai touch then? The simple answer would be No Longer Human trumps chuuyas ability, and it just gets nullified. But i think there is a high chance they interact and create a singularity! It fits them so well for their abbilities to go so strongly against each other they end up joining up and creating something even greater

Ever since I brought up the concept [x] [x], many have wanted to talk about this issue [1] [2] [3] I am on my knees begging everyone to explore this concept too I can't be the only one playing in this space you all have ideas worth exploring PLEASE

I've been very against skk making a singularity in the past but I've mellowed out in the (checks notes) last year and now I'm more interested in how a singularity could happen between those two abilities, if Dazai nullifies everything without exception. Dead Apple already played with Dazai's ability interacting in strange ways with others, when Shibusawa was able to separate and crystallize it like the rest, and also how it created a singularity with the ability to attract abilities and the ability to fuse abilities. So maybe skk can't create one together on their own, but through a third party they're both interacting with? potential potential

That's actually an alternative I considered! If Fukuzawa's ability gave Chuuya complete control over his ability, but Chuuya only ever knew his ability as what the lab turned it into, maybe Chuuya would subconsciously still try to make it do its thing? But for some reason it's harder now, and he has to concentrate on it a lot more, and it doesn't seem as powerful by default? It would be a frustrating mess ("this ability sucks! why is having more control making it more difficult?!"), and could still lead to Chuuya accidentally enhancing someone's ability.

In that version, Chuuya would still have his gravity control on top of his enhancing, because he's actually consciously creating a singularity on demand, instead of always using one. Not sure what that could mean about Arahabaki/Corruption, but I think the idea of skk, without explaining anything, leaving the ADA together to go test out those new limitations, and then coming back to their coworkers scratching their heads about the forest that became a warzone just outside the city is really funny.

REVIEW WITH SPOILERS

Kal.- Such a beatiful journey for my boy. Ever since leaving his hometown he unwittingly became a legend. Only a few actually got to see the mortal (Kaladin) behind that inmortal mask of determination (Stormblessed). His journey resounds in so many of us because beyond his inhuman abbilities he is a human just like us. The ultimate protector. The last remnant of Honor. Kaladin. Herald. Herald of Kings. Herald of the Wind. Herald of Second Chances.

Shallan.- Always wanted her to be a worldhopper but couldn't really see how that might happen once she married Adolin. Now she is trapped in Shadesmar among other worldhoppers. Yay. Also, she got on well with Thaidakar (whose motivations and needs don't disturbe Shallan's unlike Mraize and Iyatil's did). And- CHARANACH IS HER MOM.

Taln did NOT break. Ever. It was Shallan who triggered it all (poor thing has no fault really). Love the fact that Taln never broke, it always felt wrong. Reminds me of Dabbid a little -although his lack of words is trully caused by trauma not pretended-. Gotta make him tells us why he tried to kill Cultivation.

Jasnah.- Never liked her morality. It always felt wrong. Never liked her character because of it. That night at Karbranth, the assassins she hired, considering the extermination of the singers, stabbing a highprince... And then Brandon used the reverse card and actually confronted her about her actions and intentions. That is exactly what she needed. She will grow so much in the coming books! We still don't know why exactly she was confined as a kid but she kind of hinted that her mother was not okay with it, rescued her as soon as she got back from her travels. Hopefully, she will be the one to take Navani out of her self-induced coma.

Lift will finally let herself grow up and Vasher will help her about it! Will Cultivation's absence affect her powers? Since she never used Stormlight (or Towerlight) creating Lifelight out of food instead, will anything change for her now that Cultivation flee? Maybe Lift's presence lures her back to Roshar someday.

Sezth.- Never liked the idea of him becoming an Herald, even if it thematically worked since he won Jezrien's Shardblade. Glad how it turned out, he deserves a quiet life with the sheeps. Also, him being a Skybreaker finally clicked for me, it was about gainning agency and deciding for yourself. And we got to learn Aux's backstory as well!

Adolin not becoming a surgebinder was perfect. After how disappointing Wayne holding up a gun was, it was refreshing how Adolin stood by his decision not to become a Radiant. Really beautiful to see how despite the unoathed not being broken they can form an attachment to the spren. Now he is learning how to read which is fulfilling in itself, just like he was okay with women holding weapons he needs to be okay with men reading. Times are changing and they have to change as well, otherwise they will be left behind. Change can be good, both Lift and Adolin got to learn that finally.

Dalinar.- He understood Honor but didn't fit in. There was always something about him becoming the vessel of Honor that didn't work out for me. Now we have another vessel having trouble with the two Shards and their conflicting interests. Wished we could have seen a little bit more of what it meant to be the Stormfather's Bondsmith, now we will never get a chance unless we get new flashbacks. Syl, as the Ancient Daughter, is currently the oldest honorspren we have. Will she eventually take his place? The storm in her eyes... Also, really liked how Dalinar didn't have to fight Gav and found the answers where he always did, in Nohadon's pressence.

Rlain and Renarin paralleling Windrunner Garith and the Regal femalen singer was genius. Proof that both races can coexist and any conflict between them is each individual's fault, not the race they belong to. Both of them grow up a lot in this book and grow away from what their people want them to be, they become who THEY want to be. Agency. Individuality. Self-worth.

The people are different versions but still exist in TMAGP and that absolutly is the one thing moving a very specific TMA AU.

Basically besides joining the Institute, Tim gets very into online supernatural foruns trying to find people with similar experiences. So one day he gets a mysterious mensage from someone about the "thing wearing my brother's skin". The e-mail is about a young lady that says something very similar happened to her and her uncle and she has been investigating similar stories since. They chat more and with Sasha advice Tim decides fuck it and meets the woman, both pretend it's a date.

Everything is well until Tim mentions working dor the Magnus Institute, she, who presented herself only by Gwen, pales and goes "oh you're one of them" and leaves after saying "I'm not playing his games. I'm not feeding him." Tim is very confused, he thinks maybe the Institue tried to investigate her case and failed. They are not in the archive yet so he asks Jon and Sasha with help without giving any detail, basically hoping Sasha conection with Gertrude means she has acess to the archives and Jon being way to into spending long nights working will help them sort whatever Sasha finds.

Except Sasha finds nothing. Until a random day were she comes up with a big grim and goes "you guys won't ever be abble to guess what I found out?" and open in a very funky web page advertising Gwendolyn Bouchard, paranormal lawyer. Sasha is laughting, Jon is ranting about what a paranormal lawyer would even be but Tim is like "oh shit, that's her".

He doesn't connect the dots at first. Or doesn't want to. But he keeps thinking about "I'm not feeding him" and he is like "random question what do you guys know about Elias" and Sasha goes research into it.

At this point he and Jon aren't close friends but they are friends and if their boss is one of the things that ate his brother he needs to figure out something. With the assumption Elias is a clown, Tim does actually notice how creepy Elias is with Jon and is fully "Jon won't belive me but Elias is totally into eating his insides or whatever". So he tells the truth to Sasha and tricks Jon into visiting Gwen's lawyer thing for answers.

I still did not figure out most of the other things, except that Alice and Gwen are together in this verse and Alice made the web design for Gwen's page. I also know I want alt Sam and I want just our Celia who keeps almost meeting them but never doing. Or even a Celia that came back and has a dificult time being at her world and interacting with different versions of people that mattered so much to her.

I don't know still what to do with Sam, because I think Martin was very clearly Jonah backup archivist and the thing is Elias will try to convince Jon Gwen is the crazy/evil one and either he'll suceed making Jon betray his friends and be the archivist but with different assistants (except Martin) or he won't and Martin will start as the archivist. And while backup archivist/archival assistant Sam makes sense I'm unsure I want that for him. I'm thinking maybe this version of Sam after failing to get into Oxford went into a "rebelious" phase instead of doubling down in trying to met his parents high expectations and ended up joining Melanie ghost hunting channel. But not sure.

Like if I actually go the route of Celia is back trying to find help for both her worlds a Sam that's not quite the Sam she knows/cares about would be interesting. Like he is deep down the same but also he isn't in some obvious ways and she might just miss her Sam more. But if this is an AU not as connected with Protocol than maybe a Sam that's pretty much our Sam but if he was in Archives would make sense. Idk.

And ofc Basira and Daisy that I'm always partial to but I have no clue how to add, except maybe with them starting as Gwen and Alice rivals because Gwen attorney bussiness interferes with their sectioned police work. Also Gwen being an attorney is a 100% because I fully think she was her normal manipulative rise to the top and keep the Bouchard's name girl and went into law school for it except she mets Alice and by the same period Jonah happens and she was close to Elias (even if in parts was because she looked better in the family eyes when they were together by comparison) and it changed everything.

I don't know a lot about Alice either but she was Lena's college roomate and atended classes with Colin (yes he is here as well, unsure what to do with him tho). She had a paranormal encounter that left a scar similar but in oposition to Georgie's where she has a "spider sense" sort of think and can feel when the fears are involved, she knows if a library or book fair has a Leitner and where for example. It happened when she was young and possibly involved meeting my boy Gerry but she tried to avoid the supernatural ever since. She was very reluctant over helping Gwen except she acidentaly overheard her talking to "Elias" and Jonah messed with her head. More importantly she knows that ignoring sometimes is worse because some secret involving her baby brother who may or may not have joined Grifters Bone and becamed a Slaughter Avatar.

The supernatural lawyer was a joke from Alice but Gwen took it seriusly and Alice was loke "really?" and guess this moron will need help to not die/became an avatar and became her paralegal (tho it had nothing to do with her actual college diploma).

Hey there ! I have some bad and some good news. The bad news is I'l be SUPER BUSY for the next 3 weeks and won't be abble to post anything (I can still answer questions and they always brighten my day, but can't do much else.) so that's that.

BUT the good news is I want to do a full portrait of one of my OC when I come back ! You might not know, but the drawings I do here are sketches that I do to relax. But I'd like to stretch my drawing muscles and draw a fully coloured portrait of my hungry boys ! But I don't know who to pick first !

Yoshida Hirofumi, the Kraken and Cthulhu, is the octopus with him just an octopus?

When I first saw Yoshida Hirofumi I was convinced the octopus that goes with him couldn't be a normal octopus. Was I supposed to believe fear of octopuses was so widespread there was a whole devil for it? I hadn't ever heard of a person with an octopus phobia! That is, such a phobia surely had to exist but it had to be rare. So, that being with Yoshida had to be Leviathan, the Kraken or Cthulhu, which are well known fearsome creatures that deserved a big powerful devil.

And I was right! but so, so wrong!

That being IS a representation of the Kraken AND a normal octopus. Let me explain (it's long).

Because of where most of us live octopuses aren't something we think about on a daily basis, but it turns out that in places with deep conections to the sea, like Japan, people actually do think about octupuses frequently.

In fact, most places with cultural ties to the sea have fantastical tales of octopuses everywhere in their folklore. Leviathan and the Kraken are said to appear in, or even outright provoke, storms. That's probably because octopuses are good at reading their environment and they may dissapear or appear when storms are close. So, octopuses have been attributed weather powers.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg!

The thing is, octopuses as a species are really intelligent. Incredibly intelligent. So intelligent they get bored in captivity and turn mischievious and start playing pranks on humans or juggling rocks. In fact octopus observers claim they feel as if they are seconds away of getting out of their tanks and starting a conversation.

And that's a problem because, at the same time, they look so utterly... alien. They look weird! And they have weird abbilities! They're capable escape and cammo artist and can regenerate. The way they move and squish their own bodies! They are so, so different from us that apparently for millenia people have collectively looked at octopuses and noticed their intelligence and thought, shaking with fear: It's thinking!! Oh no, what are they thinking! What are their intentions!

(And doesn't that tie up nicely with what manga readers wonder about Yoshida. In fact, the more I researched octopuses in Japanese folklore, the more it apears Yoshida is like the personification of all the Japanese think of octopuses)

So, the respect they earned as a species at some point crossed into fear and creatures like the Kraken where born. The Kraken exists because of the fear of octopuses. They represent how afraid people have been of octopuses over the centuries. It's like, we humans are convinced they hold an annual meeting somewhere where they plot the demise of humanity, because they are certainly capable and intelligent enough and they must hate us for eating them and contaminating the sea.

There's a mean streak attributed to octopuses. In fact, the Japanese have their own version of the kraken, the Akkorokamui, where at first it was a spider, known for laying intricate traps, that turned so dangerous it hat to be banished to the sea. It's just, even scientists today belive the only thing holding back octopuses from taking over the world and becoming the dominant species is their short life span (which is another nice point that beautifully ties into Yoshida worthy of a treatise). The pervasive question of 'What are they thinking?' turns into 'are they plotting humanity's demise?' and for many the answer is a 'maybe' and that's apparently something that also ocurred to H.P. Lovecraft when he was thinking up the creature Cthulhu a being destined to end humans (although of course Lovecraft based Cthulhu in a great number of things. I'm not saying this was his sole inspiration).

I laughed out loud when I saw in the very first text where I heard of octopus folklore, this fear of octopuses hating humans is unfounded and that octopuses are in fact very misunderstand creatures that are impossible to harbour ill intentions towards us. Of course they are not plotting against humans. They are not that advanced, not that powerful. In fact, they are quite vulnerable and easy to hurt. They ought to be protected! They are in danger of dissapearing! We humans have let our fears get a hold of ourselves!

And that ties beautifully into Yoshida again. Actually that's kind of exactly how it seems the author is portraying this character. Look at him: an all seemingly powerful guy, mischievious with an enigmatic smile! Surely he has to be plotting something. Except maybe he's just a teenager who happens to have low people skills and is trying very hard to survive in a hostile world and people overlook his vulnerabilities because he has struck fear into the readers by having a job where he has to predict other people's movements and looks and acts weird. Even he is also plotting something.

I have to concede, if that's what Fujimoto is doing, it's genius.
