The funniest (most galaxy brained) thing a fanfiction can do is having Sanji start brewing feelings for Zoro but not realizing they are those kind of feelings until it hits him right in the face (Thriller Bark, always Thriller Bark) and having Ace just waltz around and be his awakening while Zoro is just there losing his goddamn mind because he has been in love from the very beginning (there can be said a lot about him but at least he's self-aware) and I eat it up every single time

Zoro x Sanji: 100000/10, my otp, I would die for them, never a dull moment with this ship.

Franky x Robin: 11/10, incredible, showstopping, even better as t4t.

Usopp x Kaya: 10/10, no notes, they’re adorable.

Nami x Vivi: 9/10, very cute! Now all we need is for Vivi to come back 😔😔

Shanks x Buggy: 7/10, very funny, and childhood friends to enemies to lovers is a fun trip.

Oh gosh. Not really? Do I think Sanji after having his bi awakening because of Ace look at Katakuri and realize a few more things about himself? Yes, he learns a lot about himself over this whole thing. Sanji already knows what it's like to be a prisoner and have no one and he knows Katakuri feels the same, even if the man has Brulee. They probably do like each other a lot and Sanji is trying to convince him to come with them. I think Katakuri and Otama would get along really well in Wano.

Also can you imagine Sanji and them rolling up and Sanji introducing everyone to his husband Charlotte Katakuri and what that would do to everyone? Even Nami is confused where as Robin nods when she looks at Katakuri because she understands it. Sanji doesn't like men, he likes this man. This man didn't fawn over him like the G-5 Marines and isn't out of touch like Law or demanding like Luffy or antagonistic like Zoro. This man is also big enough and strong enough to manhandle the cook into taking time for himself, something the others have been unsuccessful with.

Also King and Katakuri would be a fucking good fight I think. Especially if Katakuri is going in to rescue his blonde husband and after the raid Otama and him talking about their mochi fruits and just vibing does something to my heart.

What if she knew she wasn't supposed to be a boy and her mother encouraged her. Her father and brothers may not be supportive, of course, but reiju was only in secret, of course.

When this happens, Sanji is mad and yells back that maybe she wants him to and how he hits her and she is a girl. Zeff is, of course, confused by it. Becase last he knew sanji was a boy. But I think unltmitly he is supportive as well. He still trains her in how to fight, not trusting that he would all ways be thire to keep her safe. When she's old enough, she begins taking hormones. Zeff abostly threatens Luffy before they leave with his daughter.

When she joins the stawhats, she offers to sleep in galley so as not to bother or make Nami uncomfortable. Since she is Trans and still has her penis. (Gender affirming surgerys come later with Iva). Luffy is Luffy and, of course, doesn't see what the big deal is if Sanji says she's a girl she's a girl. Nami is a lesbien and absolutely has a cursh on Sanji. When Vivi joins Sanji, she tries to give up her hammock for the other women. She does it again for Robin.

Sanji is a flirt but not as bad as in cannon since she knows what it's like to be hit on. She still puts her ladies first.

During alabaster arc, she calls herself Mr. Prince since Crocodile thought she was a male since her voice is still a lower register and she doesn't bother to correct him since they would look for a guy and not a women so Chopper can still run around pretending to be her.

Sanji is apart of the Itty bitty titty committee and is jealous of Zoros tits. I mean considering her fighting style the time she broke her back it's for the best. (As a big boobed women I'm jelly of sanji)

Ace was Sanjis bi awakening. She was so sure she was a lesbien but then Ace shows up and throws that out the window.

I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!! ace was sanji's bi awakening. i just know. it's so real. i'm so glad we all as a fandom agree on this. their scenes together are so gay for literally no reason??? like seriously, what was the point of their dynamic being so homoerotic. ace lighting up sanji's cigarette??? at this point just kiss him and get over with this oh my god, ace... he's not subtle.

okay but it's not only the homoeroticism of it all. it's also the fact that their pasts are so well synced. they match so well!!

sanji's brothers have always treated him horribly. he went through so much physical and emotional trauma because of them that the thought of siblings having a good relationship is completely weird for him. he doesn't have good memories of his brothers, but he knows how they should have treated him. the way they acted isn't how someone that should love you acts. those are not his brothers. so the concept of a brother loving him is completely foreign to him.

and then he meets ace.

ace, who looks after luffy constantly. ace, who's worried about how his brother is doing. ace, who's polite and kind and a genuinely good person. ace, who's obviously luffy's brother because he is also a menace to society. ace, who would do anything for luffy. ace, whose priority will always be luffy.

and, you know, that's weird for sanji. a brother who cares. who loves. who fights for his little brother. who wants to be with him. who loves him. who has missed him during the years they've been apart. and it makes sanji wonder why his brothers weren't like this, if it isn't that hard, really, to love him. maybe it's just his own fault.

and it's such a great dynamic to explore! because, for sanji, luffy is just so lucky to have ace. and ace is literally the peak of kindness. sanji lacks brotherly love, ace is literally made to be luffy's brother, and for sanji that's literally so, so beautiful...

it helps, too, that ace is extremely hot (cliché pun extremely intended).

it's not only the whole "ace being a good brother" thing, though. it's also their pasts. feeling worthless and undeserving of love. of living. they both feel out of place and often pretend to be what they're not. they can't love themselves and are always appreciating the fact that they have people who love them. it's such a good ship because it explores both of them learning to love and to be loved!

i like the ship for these things, but also because it's so, so funny.... ace is so chaotic and he tries to be all teasing and cool and hot. and he's just a failguy sometimes. because he's a fucking idiot. and sanji finds that endearing. also, sanji being all done with him because he is, indeed, an idiot, is the funniest thing ever. and sanji is the most bottomest of the bottoms, so of course he likes ace.

idk i really like their dynamic and it's wayyyy deeper and more interesting than what people make it look!!

Sexuality headcanon: The most bi character in the world. Undoubtedly loves women but has something so undeniably fruity going on with almost every man around him too.

Gender headcanon: See he can really be any gender ever to me. Cis man, trans femme/woman, trans masc/man, nonbinary, agender, these could all fit. I guess the only one I don't think really fits is maybe cis woman lmao

A ship I have with said character: I mean we all know how I feel about Zosan (really normal!). That's undoubtedly my OTP for Sanji but honestly I like Acesan, Sanuso, Lusan, even Sanami and Sanji x Pudding a little bit too.

A BROTP: Hmm I know I did say Sanuso above and I stand by that but they're just such best friends too. Guys of all time really I like how how he's a little bit nicer to Usopp compared to Luffy/Zoro lmao. Also Robin and Sanji's friendship has made me cry more than once I love the two of them together.

A NOTP: Hmm I'm not a big fan of romantic Robin x Sanji, that's more so because I only want Robin with Franky and no one else lmao, otherwise Sanji is just so good for mutishipping imo

A random headcanon: Truly believe in the headcanon that Ace was Sanji's bisexual awakening, he way they acted around each other in Alabasta is truly some tof the gayest shit I've ever seen and that's remarkable because One Piece is so overwhelmingly gay all the time afhgklhg

General opinion over said character: Truly been on a rollercoaster of different feelings towards him lmao. He started out as a favorite during a lot of early One Piece, became my least favorite during the middle, and then just shot up to my favorite and has stuck there, and with how good his character writing has been in the last three major arcs, I'd be surprised if that changed. The thing about him is that it always feels like there's something new to talk about with him. He's a rude brat, kind of a disgusting womanizer, has an attitude problem, is a self sacrificial dumbass, but yet he's also the kindest strawhat and shows that kindness through service to others, and his character growth is REALLY satisfying. Uhhh yeah i think he's alright or whatever and I feel super normal about him! (<- girl who lies)
