Something that i think is equally important to saying "asexual people aren't asexual because of trauma/body issues and asexuality isn't a phase" is saying "for some people their asexuality IS because of trauma/body issues and it might be something that can be worked through with therapy/recovery but they r still asexual" lots of ppl are asexual for lots of different reasons and u can't go around prescribing the ace experience

Hello everyone , I promise I’m not dead, I’ve just been busy. Anyway I couldn’t be ANY MORE LATE for Asexual Visibility Day if I TRIED. Which is especially embarrassing as someone ON the Asexual spectrum. Like I definitely didn’t just…project my EXACT sexuality to a T onto Papyrus, what are you talking about ? *sweats* Listen ok I kin this bitch , he and I are similar people , it makes sense for him to me. Some Ace Pride! Here are characters I view as ace!

Aziraphale and Crowley (Good Omens) book and tv miniseries - Asexual Nonbinary - Technically the book (1990) states that they are “sexless” and “men-shaped creatures”. The show did an amazing job at portraying a queerplatonic relationship that has been embraced by the Ace community.

Bruno Madrigal (Encanto) - AroAce - A human AroAce character capable of love? *gasp* The moment Mirabel defends her uncle, “He loves this family!” Was a great statement defending the AroAce and Neurodivergent communities who are often portrayed in media as incapable of any type of love. I enjoyed how Disney uses all the stereotypes we are familiar with in the beginning of the movie, and then we meet Bruno. Plus the focus on family is very enjoyable storyline.

Castiel (Supernatural) - Asexual Demiromantic - Cas is definitely an ace demiromantic character. Evidence abounds throughout the series. But I see his last speech as the first television love confession by an asexual character. Because that entire speech was exactly how an asexual would view their romantic love. Not a single word on appearance, and an absolutely emotionally moving scene.

The Doctor (Doctor Who) - Asexual - Friendship and adventure. What an amazing way to explore the universe.
