................................ Affordable rates than the ones in Broadway Plus. You can also DM Uncle Jeff on his active social media accounts (Twitch, IG) No silly messages pls. Just acting audition help business ONLY. Rate is 75 dollars per hour, 50 for half. Darn, there are other acting coaches that are cheaper but if you want the experience to be taught by Jeff Blim, those are the rates you need to pay. Just reach out to him. Check his Uncle Jeff Audition Hour segment in his livestreams to check how good he is in giving advice. But I have read a review he's a great teacher (not from Jon Matteson but a non-famous person on IG)

Worked with an acting coaching client on an audition scene and explored the different layers of the character's helplessness, overcompensating for that helplessness, entitlement, and need. Finding our way through the awkwardness of not yet having mastery of the role but building toward it. So cool feeling them find pieces of it.

Getting the casting directors attention
The first step to creating a killer self-tape is getting the casting director’s attention. With so many actors submitting tapes, you need to make sure yours stands out. The best way to do this is by delivering a memorable performance right from the start.
In addition to the 5 Elements To A Killer Self-Tape, here are a few more tips that will help you stand out: One effective way of grabbing their attention is through your slate. Your slate should be confident and charismatic, showing off your personality and unique qualities as an actor. But never over the top. Just friendly and to the point.
Additionally, pay close attention to lighting and sound quality in order to create a professional-looking video that draws in the viewer’s eyes and ears. Proper lighting can help highlight facial expressions while good audio ensures they won’t miss any important details in your performance.
Remember, catching their eye doesn’t necessarily mean going over-the-top with gimmicks or flashy techniques; sometimes simple choices made with boldness can have just as much impact on capturing their attention!

Suggestions on helping me with my slate! How dumb do I look haha my first one back after years of being out of the industry. While I was auditioning this is were I made the mistake I was thinking! And I over thought it. I was saying this to myself
Unleash those raw emotions, my friend! Auditions are all about showing your genuine vulnerability and fierce determination. Let the untold story of your journey come to life on that stage. Embrace your authenticity and let your passion shine through. It's time to dive deep and show the world what you're made of! So go ahead, take a leap of faith, and let your true self shine in this audition. Remember, the power of vulnerability is what separates the best from the rest. Embrace it, own it, and watch as your performance leaves a lasting impression. You've got this!
Always remember to tend your mind, heart, and soul! ❤️

TADC Actor AU
An AU where the characters are actors, Roger Rabbit style. We had fun in the Bunny Doll Burrow.
Characters list
Pomni 📖
A quiet girl who writes books in her free time. She started her career on TV in Japan, where she was born. She was under contract to do commercials and modeling until she moved to the USA to study accounting. She meets Caine when he opens an account with her. Thanks to him, she gets into show business again in a much healthier manner. Helping in commercials again and smaller roles in films. After she and Caine get married, he helps her get her first major role as the Jester in The Amazing Digital Circus series.
Caine ⭐️
Was born into show business. Literally, his mom went into labor in the middle of a circus act, and she had to birth him inside the pool behind the circus tent. His family owns a circus in Vegas and is known as the most glamorous family in Nevada. Because of this, he started as a child star and learned how to maintain a healthy work environment for performers thanks to his family. His family hired Bubble to be his agent when Caine turned 18. Because of his impressive record in show business, bright and happy personality, he is a well-known A tier actor. He agreed to play the ringmaster in TADC as long as his wife, Pomni, can have an audition.
Ragatha 🎀
Super kind and sweet. Started show business in college with her best friend Kaufmo. The two were close and did auditions together. She is mostly known for smaller films that are very artsy. Those 3 hour long films that have a hidden meaning? Yeah, she likes doing those kinds of films. Art runs in her vains, and she doesn't care much about how much money she gains. As long as she has enough to get by in life and does what she enjoys, she is happy. She does modeling thanks to Kaufmo, acting like a part-time agent for her. One day, Kaufmo calls her up about a role he's auditioning for in TADC and convinces her to audition. At the auditions, she meets a bunny who is also auditioning for the role Kaufmo is auditioning for. She gets the role, and so does Kaufmo. Until one rainy day, they get into a car crash, causing Kaufmos death.
Jax 🐰
A ball of fluff with an ego. He is well loved by many actors and others in the show business. He helps out mostly backstage as an understudy on Broadway, stunt double, and a vocal and actor coach. He helped and taught famous actors like Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel, Rocky from Lackadaisy, and N from Murder Drones. His students describe him as a fun, whacky, and kind guy. He does impressions, too. He substituted for Angel Dust's voice in the song Addiction when he was sick. And he substituted other lines for other stars when they couldn't. Like when Rocky was recovering from vocal surgery, Jax took over and did the monologue Rocky does while he throws dynamite. Jax auditioned to be the bully in TADC and met a kind doll. But he didn't get the part that day. Until a month later, he gets a call that they are recasting, and he got the part. Tadc will be his first major role in his career, and he's beyond excited to be a part of it.
Gangel 🎭
A steamer and a theater kid since middle school. She streams video games, reactions, and acting/singing tips. Her goal is to get to 1 million followers on her platforms and have fun. She was bullied as a kid and just wants to make others happy. She gets help from her fiancé Zooble in her streams. She loves posting everything she does and gets over excited by everything. Her favorite things to react to are anime shows, and she loves video games. One day, she hears about the auditions for TADC and rushes Zooble to audition with her. Zoobel refuses to audition and just takes Gangel. Gangel gets a part, and she streams it right away. She has trouble keeping secrets, by the way. She'll most likely post about anything by accident.
Zooble 🔺️
Tattoo artist and owns her own shop. She was never interested in acting or singing. They were always bullied for looking different than most toons. Very quiet, camera shy, and keeps to themselves. Until someone makes fun of Gangel. They are super supportive of their fiancé and help Gangel whenever they can. They aren't afraid to go internet warrior mode if they see someone picking on Gangel. One day, Gangel begs them to take her to the auditions for TADC. At the studio, the ones in charge automatically take a liking to Zoobles unique look. Mentioning how it matches the circus theme. They wanted to create a role just for them, but Zooble tried to reject the offer. Until Gangel convinces them.
Kinger ♟️
Both a director and actor with his wife Queenie. He is a family man and makes some of the best movies. He loves musicals and helps with soundtracks. He started doing show business in his mid twenties when he found a talent in storytelling and started making scripts. Step by step, he became a director and actor. He didn't really audition for TADC. They called him up if he could help write the show, and he just somehow ended up in the show when they couldn't find a good fit for the role of Loony Man.
Bubbel 🫧
Part time agent, part time fashion designer and full time drag queen. Enough said.

The Company
Double Life
Fluff and Angst (Dark theme)
Tumblr media
Chapter 12
1735 Words
(Company OC lives his everyday life, taking care of his business and ensuring everything runs smoothly. He has a soft spot for Mina, being his first recruit as the CEO. He also cares for trainees like Nayeon, who are as important as anyone else. Running a business is hard work, and sometimes you must get your hands dirty to ensure everything runs smoothly.)
After arriving from San Francisco, you went straight to work. Setting up an acting division within the company seemed easy, but recruiting talent was the most important part.
Luckily, the company executives took care of recruiting personnel and coaches while your main focus was on selecting actresses.
While you look at some actress profiles, you get briefed on what you missed last week. IU mentions that rumors about the acting division have been circulating since someone, a well-known actress, visited the company. Officially, nothing hasn’t been confirmed, but you knew this was bound to happen.
“We’ve been receiving many inquiries from trainees, asking if they can audition for a position in the new acting division.”
”Damn, what do you think? Should we open the recruitment to the trainees?”
”That’s up to you, sir. You mentioned you want to get some well-known actresses first, so maybe you should focus on that.”
”You’re right. Once we’re settled, we can think about expanding it to the rest.”
Also, while you were away, the trainee, Mina, stopped by. She mentioned that she wanted to see you.”
”Oh, okay. I’ll get in contact with her. Thanks Ji-eun.”
——
There is a knock at your door, and you see a silhouette, “It’s me, Mina.”
”Come in.”
Mina slowly opens the door and walks inside, “Good morning.”
”Good morning, Mina, how are you?”
”I’m okay. I didn’t know that you left abroad.”
”Oh, I’m sorry. I forgot to tell you. Did you need something?”
”No, I just haven’t seen you, so I came to stop by.”
“Aww, that’s nice of you. Come and sit down.”
Mina takes a seat on the couch and stares at you.
“How’s it going with your training?”
”It’s going well. I still have a hard time talking to all the girls, but I’ve gotten close to Momo and Sana.”
”That’s great. It's nice to see that you have someone to talk to.”
”They speak Japanese, so it’s easier for me. I just wish I didn’t get nervous.”
Don’t worry about it. People are naturally going to come to you based on your personality. You’re a really sweet girl.”
Mina’s ears get a bit red, and you find it kind of cute. You can’t help but see her as a younger sister, someone to protect.
”Oh, by the way, your parents sent you a package,” you say as you stand up and get the box that is on the other side of the room.
“Oh, what is it?”
”All they told me was that you had to open it before it goes bad.”
Mina picks up the box and places it on the table. You hand her an envelope cutter and opens the box, “Aww, they sent me my favorite snacks.” She grabs one of the snacks and hands it to you, “Here, try it.”
You try the bag of Skittles she gave you and share some with her. You can’t help but smile as you see her show her gummy smile. “Do I have something on my face?”
”No, it’s just that it’s nice to see you so happy.”
Mina’s ears turn red from your comment, “It’s just that these are my favorite, plus my parents sent them, so it makes it more special.”
”You’re right. Let's send something to them as well; what do you think?”
”Really?”
”Yeah. You don’t want to?”
”No, I do.”
”What do you want to send?”
”Umm, maybe some bread?”
”That sounds nice. Do you have an idea of where we should buy it?”
”Umm, there is a bakery that they used to take me to when I was little.”
”That’s nice. Let’s put in an order and have it delivered to them.”
”Are you really going to do it?”
”Yeah.”
Mina goes towards you and gives you a hug, “Thank you so much, Oppa.” It only takes a few minutes for her to realize what she did, and she steps back, face completely blushed, “I’m sorry, I just reacted without thinking.”
“Don’t worry about it, it happens.”
The two of you end up talking a bit more before Irene interrupts you two, “Sorry, I didn't know you had someone with you, sir; I’ll come back.”
”It’s okay, I was leaving anyway. Thanks, Oppa.” Mina waves goodbye and exits your office, leaving you and Irene to discuss important matters.
———
You finish your evening run and go to the nearby cafe by the company building. Coming out of the cafe, you see one of the trainees standing in front of one of the gates that lead to the campus buildings. From afar, you can see they are pacing back and forth like they are waiting for something. You see a person cross the street and walk towards the trainee and wonder what’s going on.
They seem to be talking to each other when you see the person, who seems to be an older man, grabs the trainee by the arm. The trainee struggles and tries to let go and yells, “Let me go!”
You exit the cafe and walk towards the street, trying to get an idea of what’s going on. As you walk closer, you see Im Nayeon, one of the transfer trainees from JYP. “She said to let her go” as you grab the man’s arm.
”This has nothing to do with you, so let me go!” shouts the older man.
”It does; I’m responsible for her, so I’m going to ask you to stop bothering her.”
“Nayeon, tell that man that I’m not bothering you.”
You turn and see Nayeon frozen, unable to say a word.”
”Come on, sweetie, tell this man to not treat your father this way.”
”You… you’re not my dad.”
”Don’t be like that, Nayeon; of course, I’m your dad. I’m the one who raised you and your gold-digging mother.”
”Don’t call her that.”
”Well, she is a gold-digging whore. She’s been asking me for money and forcing me to support you.”
You can tell that Nayeon is getting upset by this whole situation and asks, “Nayeon, do you want this man here or not?”
Nayeon shakes her head, “No, I don’t want him here.”
”See, she told you to leave; now go before I call the police.”
”Fuck you, let me go. Nayeon! Listen to me; I’m going to get my money back, one way or another!”
You grab the man’s arm and push him in between toward the sidewalk, “Go or else it’s going to go worse for you,” telling him in a serious voice.
“Fuck! This doesn’t end here!”
Turning around, you say, “Nayeon, are you okay?” She doesn’t respond and is frozen from the encounter. You grab her hand, lead her to a private area, and sit on one of the benches, “What happened? Why did that man say he was your dad?”
”He… he’s not my actual dad but my mom’s ex-husband. He’s been harassing us ever since my mom broke up with him.”
”Did you try calling the police?”
”We did, but they wouldn’t do anything. He just wants us to pay back the money he spent on us.”
”What a douchebag.”
”It’s one of the reasons why I decided to join JYP; I thought I could earn some good money after debuting, but that hasn’t happened.”
”I’m sorry to hear that, but I've heard from your coaches that you’re one of the top trainees in the group.”
”How does that help me now? I was supposed to help my mom and get us away from that man.” Nayeon begins to cry, upset at her current situation.
”Everything is going to be okay,” you say as you try to comfort her.
“I’m sorry you had to see me cry; I’m so embarrassed, especially since you’re the company's CEO.”
”There is nothing to be embarrassed about,” you say as you caress her head. It takes her a while to calm down, but after settling down, she asks, “Is there a way I can work part-time while still being a trainee? I just want to pay that man back so he can leave us alone.”
”You don’t have to do that; just focus on your training. I’ll try to contact your mom and see what we can do to ensure he doesn't bother you again. Nayeon agrees, knowing that she can’t do anything in her situation. Jeongyeon and Jihyo appear a few moments later after receiving a message from Nayeon earlier.
You head back to your office and look for one of your family’s contacts, a friend who can help you in these situations.
”Hey, Don, It’s me. I have a bit of a situation going on.
”……”
”Let me send you the info.”
”……”
“Let’s make this as discreet as possible. I don’t want it causing problems anymore.”
————
Nayeon’s former step-father walks out of the gambling club after losing his month’s earnings. Defeated, he cuts through the alley, trying to return to his cramped apartment after getting kicked out of his house. ‘Fuck that gold-digging slut and her daughter, stealing my hard-earned money. Throwing me like some trash after supporting them for so long.
Covered by the darkness comes out a figure, “Hey man, it’s been a while.”
”Do I know you?”
”No, but I know you.”
The former step-father is too late to realize and falls to the group. He only sees a vague silhouette of a figure standing before him in the dark alley, “Who are you?”
”No one, I’m just here to take care of someone who’s been causing trouble to my employer. They send their regards.”
There’s no response, only a man lying on the cold, dark floor in an unknown alley.
Don takes out his phone, calls his employer, “It’s done,” and clicks it.
The door of a black van opens, and multiple men step out and carry the man lying on the floor. They toss him inside and shut the door before leaving the alley like nothing happened.

Worked with an acting coaching client on cold reading skills. When gathering a phrase from the page and then speaking it to your scene partner, there can be an immediacy that translates/ports to a lot of our scene work, even when fully off book. Put another way: playing a role is not a memorization test. Brilliant work doesn't _have_ to be off book (even if being off book can make our jobs easier).

plot: kerstins girlfriend is the main character in a local musical in Manchester and she goes to watch.
warnings: none, maybe just my inner theatre kid coming out a bit too much
Tumblr media
Kirsten remembers driving you to the audition “so what even is a musical?” She asked and you turned your head towards her “please tell me you know what a musical is?” You gasped and she shrugged
“Well it’s just a show performance where there’s singing and dancing” you explained and she nodded “so what’s heathers about than?” She asked inquisitively and you smiled “it’s about this girl who hates school and just wants to get out of there but everyone is a literal dickhead and if she befriends the heathers than-“ you stopped once you saw the triumphant smile on your girlfriends face.
“Are you trying to take my mind off of the audition?”
She turned her head to you “is it working?”
You huffed, twirling your thumbs together “I don’t want to stuff up the audition” you stressed “you’re an amazing singer” Kerstin said, shutting you down.
A cool breeze went by as Kirsten let her hand travel from on top of your thigh more in and closer up.
“Does this distract you?”
“It’s definitely taking my mind elsewhere”.
——————————————————————————
Then you had to tell her about one of your scenes after you got the role.
You both laid on the couch, some of her teammates had come over and congratulated you on your lead role, especially Mary as she said she enjoyed watching theatre back in Australia.
Before she had left she had hummed the tune to your characters biggest song and you it had finally dawned on you that Kerstin didn’t know what Veronica and JD do.
“so you know how I play Veronica?” You started as you scratched your girlfriends back whilst cuddling “yes and I’m so incredibly proud of you” she hummed, pecking you neck and smiling against you “well there’s a scene where Veronica and her love interest JD have to you know like” you trailed as you thought she would get the hint but Kerstins brows just furrowed.
“I have to makeout with a guy on stage” you deadpanned and Kerstin sat up straight.
“No”
“Kerstin!” You laughed “I’m gay, he’s most likely gay and it’s a stage kiss” you explained but the girl still did not get it.
“Think of it when your coach tells you to tackle another player on the field, it’s not personal”
“That means my foot hits theirs not my mouth!”
You sat down in defeat “I also might have to straddle him as I take clothes off” you muttered quickly but the Dutch had heard it.
“I thought theatre was fun, not a strip show for viewers to see my girlfriend”.
Her face was red as she thought about it more, she would never dare tell you that you couldn’t do the show, she knew how much you loved performing and this show had aligned with your both busy time lines.
“I can practice on you if you want?” You offered and Kerstin shook her head with a laugh.
——————————————————————————
It was closing night of the show now and Kerstin decided on bringing some of the girls from her Man City team, Mary jumping at the start when she offered tickets.
You smiled when you saw the ‘chooka’s’ message on your phone from the dutchie, she remembered every show even on the Sunday matinees when she should be getting ready for the game.
The show had been a hit so far and some Man City fans had even come to watch when they found out that their favourite players girlfriend was the lead.
Sure they might’ve came in hopes to see Kerstin but they still clapped and applauded you when you came out for your bow which you appreciated.
“Have you seen dead girl walking?” Mary asked as they all sat down “I don’t like to talk about that one” Kerstin quickly said as the curtains raised, revealing you in your opening costume.
“September 1st 1989, Dear diary…”
When the first act had finished and there was intermission you let yourself go on your phone to many notifications, some from the girls tagging you on their story and others following you from their tags.
Walking back on you took a deep breath “Is your girlfriend here?” The actor who played JD asked and you nodded “cool my boyfriends here too, we just started dating but I’m a little nervous for it”
You smiled as you patted him on the back for good luck.
Kerstin now owes you $10 dollars.
When bows were on you were slightly emotional to leave the cast behind but as long as Kerstin stayed at Manchester you promised the company you would do the next years musical which they were very happy to hear.
But your smile was contagious as did your last bow, cheers erupted and you saw a clump of girls in the middle all standing up which you could only assume where your friends.
You didn’t bother getting changed to see your friends , neither do half of the cast because you usually took a while to get ready.
But as you walked out and saw a tall Jill waving her hands around like crazy to get your attention you laughed.
You felt a tap on your arm and turned around to see an about 13 year old girl next to you “hi” you greeted and she smiled “I’m sorry but can I get a photo?, I loved you as Veronica, you sounded just like Barrett” she complimented and you smiled “of course” you beamed and bent down to get into her selfie.
When you said goodbye, you almost ran into your girlfriend’s arms who was waiting for you.
“You were amazing as always lieverd”
You smiled and pecked her cheek “thankyou for coming whenever you could”
“Where’s our hugs at?” A strong Aussie accent called out as Alanna Kennedy hooked her arms around the other man city girls who had decided to come and support you.
You broke out in a strong grin “Thankyou so much guys!” You cheered and gave them all individual hugs.
“Alright hands off her, I haven’t had her too myself for far too long”.

dream big, big dreams - lucy bronze

pairing: lucy bronze x fem!reader warnings: none? no proof reading done. author's note: please note that i'm dyslexic & non-native english speaker - i make mistakes! feedback is very welcomed! enjoy! NO MINORS! 18+ READERS ONLY!
(Y/N) had always dreamed of making it big in the film industry. From a young age, the allure of the silver screen had captivated her and she spent countless hours honing her acting skills, taking on small roles in indie films and theatre productions. Her dedication and talent were undeniable, but the breakthrough role that would catapult her into the limelight seemed elusive. That was until she received a call from her agent that would change everything.
"Y/N, you might want to sit down for this," her agent said, voice trembling with excitement. "You've been shortlisted for the lead role in a major biopic."
Y/N's heart raced. "What biopic?" she asked, barely able to contain her anticipation.
"It's the story of Lucy Bronze," her agent revealed. "Her journey from grassroots football to the World Cup final in 2023."
Y/N was stunned. Lucy Bronze was a living legend in women's football, known for her tenacity, skill and inspiring journey. Playing her on screen would be a dream come true, but also a tremendous challenge. She knew she had to give it her all to honour Lucy's legacy.
The audition process was gruelling. Y/N immersed herself in studying Lucy's life, watching countless matches, interviews and documentaries. She worked tirelessly to replicate Lucy's mannerisms, her way of moving on the pitch and even her accent although she had no issue with maintaining it as Y/N already had a northern accent. When the day of the final audition arrived, Y/N felt a mix of nerves and excitement. She stepped into the room, ready to give the performance of her life.
The casting directors watched intently as Y/N delivered her scenes with raw emotion and precision. She portrayed Lucy's early struggles with poise, her triumphs with genuine joy and her moments of doubt with vulnerability. When she finished, the room was silent for a moment before the casting director spoke.
"Thank you for coming, we will give your agency a call when we have decided the outcome!"
A few days later, Y/N received the call she had been waiting for: she had been cast as Lucy Bronze.
Filming began in earnest and Y/N was thrown into a whirlwind of training and rehearsals. She worked closely with a professional football coach and team to ensure her skills on the pitch were up to par, striving to embody Lucy's athletic prowess. The transformation was intense, but Y/N embraced every moment, knowing this role was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
As part of the preparation, Y/N was scheduled to meet Lucy Bronze herself. The production team had arranged for Lucy to visit the set, providing Y/N with the chance to get firsthand insights into her life and personality. Y/N felt a mixture of excitement and nerves as she waited for Lucy to arrive.
When Lucy walked onto the set, Y/N was struck by her presence. She was even more impressive in person, radiating confidence and warmth. Lucy approached Y/N with a smile, extending her hand.
"Hi, Y/N, you alright? It's a pleasure to meet you," Lucy said, her voice friendly and genuine.
"The pleasure is all mine," Y/N replied, shaking her hand firmly. "I've been looking forward to this."
They spent the day together, with Lucy sharing stories from her career, her training routines and her experiences on and off the pitch. Y/N was captivated by Lucy's dedication and passion for the game, and she found herself deeply inspired. As they practiced football drills together, Lucy offered tips and encouragement, helping Y/N refine her technique.
"You've got a great footwork, but obviously needs some clearing and smoothen," Lucy remarked, watching Y/N manoeuvre the ball. "Just remember to stay light on your feet and always keep your eye on the ball and your team members."
Y/N nodded, absorbing every piece of advice. "Thank you, Lucy. I will take down the note from you."
As filming progressed, Y/N and Lucy developed a strong bond. They often found themselves laughing and chatting between takes, sharing stories and insights. Lucy's presence on set was a constant source of motivation for Y/N, pushing her to give her best performance.
"You've done an amazing job, Y/N. I can't wait to see the final product."
Y/N could see a mix of emotions in Lucy's eyes. "Thank you, Lucy. It have been a massive honour to portray your story."
Lucy smiled, though it was tinged with a hint of introspection. "You know, some days it's a bit weird to think there's a biopic made about me. It's surreal to watch someone else live out my life on screen."
Y/N nodded understandingly. "I can imagine. But at the same time, your story is so inspiring. It is a proper privilege to bring it to the world."
Lucy sighed softly, then grinned. "Yeah, it is exciting and I am grateful for the opportunity to share my journey. It's just a lot to take in."
With the film completed, the next phase was the press tour. Y/N and Lucy were both excited and nervous about the media frenzy that awaited them. They spent hours preparing for interviews, discussing how to present the film and share Lucy's journey with the world.
One evening, after a particularly long day of interviews, Lucy suggested she and Y/N grab dinner together.
"Let's some well-deserved take a break from all the madness and just relax," she said with a smile.
Y/N readily agreed and they found a cozy, dimly lit restaurant nestled in a quiet corner of the city of Manchester. It was the perfect escape from the flashing cameras and relentless questions. They were led to a secluded booth by the window, where the soft glow of candlelight cast a warm, intimate ambiance.
As they settled in, the waiter brought a menu filled with an array of delicious options. They decided to share a few dishes, opting for a mix of comforting favorites and adventurous new flavors. As they waited for their food, the conversation began to flow naturally.
"So, tell me, Y/N," Lucy said, leaning forward with genuine curiosity, "what inspired you to become an actress?"
Y/N smiled, appreciating Lucy's interest. "I've always loved storytelling. From a young age, I was captivated by how films could transport you to different worlds and make you feel so deeply. Acting allows me to be a part of that magic, to bring stories to life and connect with people on a profound level."
Lucy nodded thoughtfully. "I can see that passion in your performance. It's incredible to watch."
The waiter arrived with their first course, a beautifully presented array of appetizers. As they dug in, their conversation shifted to the film and its impact.
"Playing you has been such a transformative experience for me," Y/N said between bites. "It's not just about football - it is about perseverance, resilience and the power of dreams. It is about making the world of football or sports in general for the girls and women better and more accessible. Your story is so inspiring and I hope the film does its justice."
Lucy smiled warmly. "Thank you, Y/N. That means a lot - sometimes I still cannot believe it is all real. Watching you bring my journey to life on screen has been surreal, but also incredibly moving. You have managed to capture so much of who I am or was."
As the main course arrived, they continued to delve into deeper topics. Y/N was struck by Lucy's humility and openness. Despite her fame and achievements, Lucy remained grounded and genuinely interested in those around her.
"What is next for you then?" Y/N asked, curious about her future plans.
"Well," Lucy began, her eyes sparkling with excitement, "I'm looking forward to continuing my career in football until my knee says no more, but I also want to use my platform to advocate for women's sports and inspire the next generation. There's so much more to achieve, both on and off the pitch."
Y/N admired Lucy's vision and commitment. "That's amazing! You are already making such a difference for others."
As they finished their meal and ordered dessert, the atmosphere grew even more relaxed and intimate. They shared stories about their families, their favourite books and films and their dreams for the future. Y/N found herself drawn to Lucy's genuine warmth, feeling a comforting sense of safety and acceptance in her presence. The way Lucy listened intently, her eyes reflecting sincere interest and understanding, made Y/N feel truly seen and appreciated. The ease with which they connected was almost magical - conversations flowed naturally, punctuated with shared laughter and moments of mutual introspection. It was as if they had known each other for years, their bond forming effortlessly amidst the backdrop of shared stories and common passions. Y/N was captivated by Lucy’s authenticity, her ability to be both a global athletic star and a down-to-earth, empathetic individual who cared deeply about those around her.
"You know, Y/N," Lucy said softly as the evening drew to a close, the soft glow of the restaurant's ambient lighting casting a warm halo around her, "I've really enjoyed getting to know you. It's rare to find someone who understands and appreciates this journey so deeply, even though met like only a few months ago."
She paused, her gaze locking onto Y/N's with an intensity that was both tender and sincere. "Throughout my career, I've met countless people, but very few have taken the time to truly understand the nuances, the highs and lows, the sacrifices and triumphs that come with this path. You’ve not only portrayed my story with incredible accuracy and respect, but you've also delved into the heart of it, grasping the emotions and the essence behind every moment."
Lucy leaned in slightly, her voice filled with gratitude and a hint of awe. "It’s almost like you’ve lived it with me, feeling every victory and setback as if they were your own. That kind of empathy and dedication is rare and it's made this entire experience profoundly meaningful for me. It may sound way too selfish of me, but you've shown me parts of my own journey that I hadn’t fully appreciated until I saw them through your eyes."
Y/N felt a warmth spread through her at Lucy’s words, a deep sense of connection and mutual respect. "I've enjoyed getting to know you too, Lucy - more than I ever expected. Portraying you has been an honour and getting to know the person behind the legend has been an incredible privilege."
Their hands brushed against each other on the table, a silent acknowledgment of the bond they had forged, one that transcended the roles they had played and touched something deeper within both of them.
They lingered a while longer, savouring the some of the last moments of their evening together, but never knowing what future was holding for them. When they finally left the restaurant, the city lights twinkling around them, Y/N felt a deep sense of connection and possibility. She knew that their bond had only just begun to form into some sort of notion and electric sense and she was excited to see where it would lead, but never expecting anything serious to happen.
As they walked side by side through the city streets, Y/N's thoughts drifted to her own personal journey, a path marked by self-discovery and inner turmoil. For years, she had grappled with her sexuality, wrestling with the fear of rejection and the burden of societal expectations.
Growing up, Y/N had always sensed she was different, but it was not until her late teens that she began to understand her internal feelings and sense of herself. She realised she was bisexual, a revelation that was both liberating and terrifying. In the years that followed, she had slowly come to terms with her identity, but the fear of not being accepted by her family and the world at large loomed even bigger now than ever.
Now, thrust into the spotlight with the success of the biopic, Y/N felt the pressure more than ever. The media attention, the upcoming public appearances and the constant scrutiny made her anxious. She did not want to be labeled or pigeonholed, fearing it would overshadow her talent and the hard work she had put into her career. Yet, she also yearned to live authentically, without hiding a crucial part of who she was.
The bright city lights blurred into streaks as they continued their walk, Y/N’s mind swirling with thoughts. She remembered the nights spent in quiet contemplation, the moments of doubt and fear and the gradual acceptance that came with understanding herself. She had grown to know herself intimately over the years, recognising her bisexuality as a natural part of who she was. However, the fear of the world’s reaction lingered.
Her family, though loving, had traditional and rather conservative views, and Y/N worried about their acceptance. The idea of disappointing them or facing rejection was a constant shadow. Despite this, Y/N knew she couldn't keep hiding. The authenticity she craved in her professional life mirrored the honesty she sought personally.
As the evening wore on, Y/N felt a mix of vulnerability and determination. The journey ahead would not be easy, but with each step and breath she took, she felt a bit more courageous. The connection she felt with Lucy gave her hope, a reminder that she didn't have to face her struggles alone. The bond they were forming was more than just a professional connection - it was a source of strength and support, illuminating the path ahead with newfound clarity.
Their bond only deepened as they continued to work together on the press tour. The long days of interviews and appearances brought them closer, each shared experience reinforcing their connection. They laughed together, supported each other through the nerves and stress and celebrated their successes. Their chemistry became palpable, not just to them but to everyone around them.
One day, they received an invitation for a high-profile interview with Vanity Fair, a prestigious opportunity to showcase the film and their unique friendship. The preparation for the interview was meticulous, involving multiple meetings with their publicists, stylists and the Vanity Fair team. The excitement was mixed with a touch of anxiety as they both wanted to make a lasting impression.
As the day of the interview approached, Lucy's playful nature resurfaced, a welcome relief from the intensity of their schedule. They were in the dressing room, surrounded by a flurry of activity—hair and makeup artists, wardrobe assistants and photographers capturing candid moments.
"Everything okay? Ready to charm the world, Y/N?" Lucy teased, giving Y/N a wink as she adjusted her outfit in front of the mirror.
Y/N laughed, feeling a rush of warmth at Lucy's playful confidence. "Yeah, a bit anxious and only if you are by my side,"
Lucy grinned, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Always! We make a great team, don’t we?"
Y/N nodded, their eyes meeting in the mirror. There was a moment of shared understanding, an unspoken agreement that they would support each other no matter what. The camaraderie between them was evident and it was this bond that they hoped to convey during the interview.
The Vanity Fair team arrived shortly, setting up the scene with an elegant backdrop and perfect lighting. Y/N and Lucy were seated side by side on a plush sofa, the atmosphere both professional and relaxed. The producer, a seasoned journalist known for their insightful and engaging style, greeted them warmly.
As the cameras started rolling, Y/N felt a surge of nerves, but Lucy's presence was a calming force. The producer began with questions about the film, their roles and the process of bringing Lucy's story to life. Y/N spoke about the intensive preparation, the challenges and the honour of portraying such an inspiring figure.
Throughout the interview, Lucy’s playful nature shone through. She recounted anecdotes from the set, shared behind-the-scenes moments, and teased Y/N good-naturedly. "There was this one scene where Y/N had to do a particularly tricky defending on the pitch," Lucy said, laughing. "She nailed it, but not before a few hilarious attempts!"
Y/N blushed, joining in the laughter. "It is true, yeah, I had a quite few epic fails before getting it right. But Lucy was there, cheering me on and giving me tips."
The interviewer smiled, clearly charmed by their dynamic. "Your friendship is pretty evident and quite heartwarming. How has working together on this film influenced your relationship?"
Lucy glanced at Y/N, her expression softening. "It has brought us incredibly close. Y/N has not only portrayed my story with remarkable authenticity but has also become a dear friend. We have shared so much, both professionally and personally, and getting to know each other each day."
Y/N nodded, feeling a swell of affection for Lucy. "This journey has been transformative for me. Lucy’s support and friendship have been invaluable. I believe we have formed a some sort of incredible strong hold that goes beyond the film."
As the interview continued, they delved into deeper topics, discussing the impact of Lucy's career on women's football, the challenges they both faced in their respective fields, and the importance of representation and authenticity in storytelling. The conversation flowed naturally, punctuated with moments of laughter and introspection.
When the interview finally wrapped, the interviewer remarked on their palpable connection. "You two seem to have a special kind of relationship going on I see. What's next for both of you?"
Lucy looked at Y/N, her expression filled with a mix of excitement and determination. "Well, I think we have a lot more to explore, it depends obviously in what certain areas but we shall see about it."
Y/N smiled, feeling a sense of anticipation and happiness. "I couldn’t agree more."
As they left the interview and had another sort of video shoots to do (game-like), the studio lights and the buzz of the bustling Vanity Fair office faded behind them. Lucy and Y/N stepped into the cool evening air in MediaCityUK, the soft glow of the city lights in Salford casting a gentle radiance on their faces. The excitement from the interview still lingered between them, a palpable energy that made the moment feel almost electric.
Lucy turned to Y/N, her eyes sparkling with a mischievous glint. She reached out, her fingers brushing lightly against Y/N's hand before clasping it firmly. Her touch was warm and reassuring, a physical reminder of their connection. As they walked side by side, Lucy’s grip on Y/N’s hand tightened just enough to convey her affection.
They strolled down the sidewalk, the city hum creating a soothing backdrop to their conversation. Lucy's playful demeanour took on a more intimate tone. She leaned closer, her voice dropping to a soft, flirtatious whisper.
“You know,” she murmured, her breath tickling Y/N’s ear, “you looked absolutely stunning in there. But I have to admit, it’s hard to focus on anything other than how good you look right now.”
Y/N felt a shiver of excitement at Lucy's proximity, the warmth of her breath mingling with the cool evening air. She turned slightly towards Lucy, catching the glint of her eyes and the teasing smile that played on her lips. The affectionate gesture and the whisper sent a rush of warmth through Y/N, mingling with the lingering adrenaline from the interview.
In that moment, Y/N's heart raced uncontrollably, a flurry of butterflies erupting in her stomach as if they were fluttering wildly in an unrestrained dance. Her breaths became shallow and the adrenaline from the interview seemed to intertwine with the new, heady sensations stirring within her. It was as though her emotions and hormones were performing an exhilarating ballet, twisting and swirling in a whirlwind of delight and anticipation.
Every touch and whisper from Lucy felt like a jolt of electric current, igniting a cascade of warm, tingling sensations that coursed through her veins. The gentle squeeze of Lucy’s hand was both comforting and thrilling, creating a potent mix of affection and attraction. Y/N’s senses were heightened - her pulse raced and her skin felt hypersensitive to Lucy’s closeness.
The butterflies in her stomach were not just fluttering but performing somersaults, sending waves of exhilaration through her body. It was as if every nerve ending was on high alert, responding to Lucy’s playful and flirtatious demeanor with an unspeakable rush of emotions. This heady cocktail of feelings left Y/N breathless and dazed, swept up in the intoxicating blend of connection and attraction that made her heart skip and her mind reel.
In Lucy’s presence, Y/N felt a thrilling uncertainty, a thrilling mix of vulnerability and excitement that was both exhilarating and disorienting. It was a moment charged with possibility, where the boundaries between professional respect and personal desire blurred, leaving Y/N with a deep, almost overwhelming sense of wonder and anticipation for what lay ahead.
As the evening drew to a close, Y/N and Lucy decided it was time to head back to their hotel. They ordered a cab, the cool night air brushing against their faces as they waited for it to pull up. The city lights sparkled around them, creating a magical backdrop for the end of their enchanting evening.
When the cab arrived, Lucy opened the door for Y/N with a playful bow. "After you, my lady," she said with a charming grin. Y/N laughed, feeling the warmth of Lucy's humour and the closeness they had shared throughout the night.
Once inside the cab, they settled into the backseat, their knees brushing together in the confined space. Lucy’s hand found Y/N’s once more, their fingers interlocking in a way that felt both natural and intimate. The soft hum of the cab’s engine and the gentle sway of the ride created a cocoon of comfort around them.
Lucy leaned in, her voice low and inviting. "I have to say, you looked absolutely radiant tonight. It’s not just the lights—there’s something about you that just... shines."
Y/N felt a delightful flutter in her stomach at Lucy’s words, the butterflies she’d been feeling earlier now a more insistent dance. The close proximity and Lucy’s soft, flirtatious tone made her pulse quicken, each moment heightening the sense of excitement and attraction between them.
Their conversation continued, punctuated by soft laughter and meaningful glances. They spoke about their favorite moments from the evening, the highlights of the interview, and their mutual admiration for each other’s efforts. Every touch and glance was charged with an unspoken connection, making the ride feel like a continuation of their earlier, more intimate exchange.
As the cab neared their hotel, Lucy’s gaze lingered on Y/N with a look of genuine affection and playful mischief. She gently squeezed Y/N’s hand, her thumb brushing lightly against Y/N’s skin.
“It is going to sound a bit silly, but,” she said softly, her breath warm against Y/N’s ear, “I am truly glad we got to share this evening together again. It has been one of those magical evenings that I will remember for a long time.”
Y/N’s heart raced, a rush of emotions and hormones swirling within her. The blend of Lucy’s touch and her words created a thrilling mix of vulnerability and excitement. “I am glad too,” Y/N replied, her voice barely above a whisper. “Tonight has been insane and incredible.”
The taxi pulled up to their hotel, the building’s lights casting a welcoming glow. As they stepped out, Lucy took Y/N’s hand once more, guiding her towards the entrance with a gentle yet purposeful touch. The night was far from over and the sense of anticipation for what lay ahead was palpable.
As they entered the hotel, Y/N and Lucy walked towards the elevator, their steps in sync but their thoughts racing with the anticipation of the evening’s end. The soft hum of the elevator echoed in the quiet lobby as the doors slid open. They stepped inside, the confined space amplifying the sense of intimacy that had been building between them all night.
Lucy pressed the button for their floor and as the lift doors closed, they were left in the small, intimate enclosure, alone with their thoughts and feelings. The tension between them was available being cut with a sharp knife, the air thick with unspoken words and emotions. Y/N could feel the electricity crackling between them, each heartbeat seeming louder than the last.
Lucy turned to Y/N, her eyes meeting Y/N’s with an intensity that made Y/N’s breath catch. There was a moment of stillness, a charged silence that seemed to stretch out as they stood so close together. Lucy’s gaze softened, her lips curving into a mischievous yet tender smile.
Before Y/N could fully process the shifting energy, Lucy closed the distance between them. Her hand gently cupped Y/N’s cheek, her touch warm and reassuring. Y/N’s heart raced in a very fast pace, almost like having a heart attack, her senses heightened by Lucy’s closeness. Then, without warning, Lucy leaned in and pressed her lips against Y/N’s in a quick, surprising kiss.
The contact was brief but electric, a jolt of sensation that left Y/N's head spinning. The softness of Lucy’s lips and the suddenness of the kiss were both thrilling and overwhelming. When Lucy pulled back slightly, their faces remained inches apart, their breath mingling in the confined space of the lift.
Y/N’s pulse was skyrocketing, her emotions in a tumultuous whirl of excitement and longing. Her lips parted in a breathless whisper, her voice trembling with desire.
“Don’t stop,” she whispered, her eyes locked onto Lucy’s with a mixture of hope and need.
Lucy’s eyes sparkled with a blend of surprise and warmth at Y/N’s words. Without hesitation, she leaned in again, her lips meeting Y/N’s with a deeper, more lingering kiss. The world outside the lift seemed to disappear as they lost themselves in the kiss, the gentle pressure and tender exploration of their lips creating a sense of connection that was both exhilarating and profound.
The lift continued its slow ascent, but inside the small space, time seemed to stand still. The kiss deepened, becoming a dance of intimacy and passion, each touch and caress conveying the emotions they had both been feeling throughout the evening. When they finally pulled apart, their breaths were quick and uneven, their faces flushed with the intensity of the moment.
Lucy looked at Y/N with a smile that was both affectionate and full of promise.
“I’m glad you said that,” she murmured, her voice low and sincere. “I have been waiting for this moment to happen.”
Y/N smiled back, feeling a rush of happiness and excitement. “Same words, likewise.”
As the lift reached their floor and the doors slid open, they stepped out into the hallway, their hands intertwined within a mere second. The shared kiss had only heightened the sense of anticipation for the rest of the evening or future. As they walked towards their rooms, Y/N could not shake the feeling that this was the beginning of something truly special, a night that would mark the start of a deeper connection between them.

God I just thought about an idea for pedro and reader, reading your last post...
They are in a relationship and live together. The reader is also an actress. She asks pedro to practice her lines with her. In the play, she is having a really long line, breaking up with the person ans leaving them... pedro can't continue... at night in bed they are cuddling and pedro talks about how he hated the feeling or the thought of the reader ever leaving
(changed this slightly, hope that is OK...)
bad acting (pedro pascal x gn/m!reader)
Tumblr media
a/n: same vague universe as “marked,“ per usual.
thanks, as always, for everything.
(also I did that thing where I didn't save this on drafts fast enough and the whole fucking thing deleted so you could say im LIVID sorry if this rewrite felt rushed.)
summary: things get a little... too real.
—————————————————————————
"You can't laugh."
"I'm not gonna laugh!"
Pedro hands you his iPad, script loaded on the screen. "I'm serious," you warn him, "you had to stop last time, the acting was so bad."
"Just read the sides, baby."
You know he isn't nervous about the audition— if he was, he sure as shit wouldn't be practicing with you. Those rehearsals are reserved for his coach, or someone who can actually talk him through the scene. This was just a formality, a quick read-through for some anthological TV show about people in failing marriages. Season 2 of Oscar's old Amazon thing. With the audition being on Zoom tomorrow, the whole process feels fairly relaxed.
"Should I read it in a lady voice? Will that set the scene?"
"Please don't."
"Scottish accent?"
"Babe."
"Hmm." You clear your throat loudly, for dramatic effect. Across the room, feet propped on the desk, Pedro rolls his eyes. He's got his cheaters on, but no script— the audition's supposed to be off-book. "From the first page?"
"You're stalling."
"Ugh. Ok. Here we go." Leaning forward, you scroll to the highlighted text on the iPad. "Stop, David. You don't know what you're talking about."
Pedro's posture straightens; ever the professional, it's like watching a switch flip. The humored lines beside his eyes, little crows feet that crinkle when he looks at you, disappear completely. His brow furrows, gaze darkens.
"Of course I do, dammit. I'm done with this, all of this. It's like living in a mausoleum, Emma. I'd rather. Do you remember what love even feels like? Because I look at you, and I just... don't, anymore."
"You don't mean that."
"I do! I'm so tired of this. Life with you is joyless. Every day, I come home from work and just sit in the goddamn driveway because I don't want to come in the house. It's hard to be in the same room as you. I can't bring her back, Emma, and I miss her and I'm sorry she's dead. But it isn't my fucking fault and I wish you'd stop pretending it was."
His voice cracks, just a little. You frown as he grabs the glass of water beside him, pausing to wait, but he motions for you to continue.
"That's cruel," you read, "and you know it. That's not fair."
"None of this is fair!" Pedro exclaims. "That's the whole point. It's not fair that our daughter is dead while the girl who was driving got to walk away clean. Life isn't fucking fair. But it's life. And you've sucked all the light out of mine. I can't stand you, anymore, I'm sorry. I just can't. It's not that we can't make it work, it's that I don't want to make it work. If I never see you again, it'll be too soon. Jesus christ, I hate every part of this."
"Are you done? Have you gotten it all off your chest?"
"Don't placate me! This isn't one of your stupid therapy sessions, Emma, you can't fix this with a breathing worksheet and a roleplaying exercise. Be fucking serious. Every day I wake up and I wish I'd never met you. At least then, she wouldn't be dead, because she'd never have existed. And maybe I'd known some goddamn peace."
The page ends there, and you glance up. Pedro has his head in his hands, eyes closed.
"That was good," you offer tentatively, searching for some kind of sign as to what his next move is. He's gracious about work stuff, but you're always a little afraid of mucking up his process.
When he looks up, his eyes are glossy. "Yeah," Pedro says, croakily, clearing his throat quietly before rising from the chair. He takes the iPad back, wordlessly, shuttering the case over the screen.
"Wanna do it again? You were spot-on, Pedge, but we can go over it again if you want to."
"No," he says quickly. "No, I'm good. I'm fine. It's on Zoom, it'll be easy. I'm fine."
Weird. Just a little. Before you can dwell on his sudden cageyness, he's up, headed for the door.
"I'm gonna walk the dogs. We can catch up on Bake-Off, when I get back?"
Pedro leaves before you can answer.
— — —
No sooner have the leashes been hung back by the door, than Pedro is beside you on the couch, all hands and light touches. It's as if he can't bear to lost contact. You allow him to reposition you, reaching a hand around your waist as you reach for the remote.
"Good walk?"
He hums, tugging you against him. Settles, finally, once you're half-reclined, back against his chest, arm around your middle. You fiddle with the edge of his sleeve as the bakers fumble their way through the signature challenge.
It's not that the clinginess bothers you— he's like this sometimes, when he's just returned home, or you've arrived in LA, or met somewhere in the middle. Every separation leaves him want for touch. It's the one thing you can't give him, while you're apart.
But he's been home a couple weeks now, in between reshoots for a new project. Been home all day, in fact, in an orbit around you while you attempted to work from home. (A little too close, frankly, but you can't really complain.)
"You okay?" You whisper, as the timer runs down on the technical bake.
No answer. Just a tightened grip on your waist, and a firm kiss to the top of your head.
— — —
It isn't until later, in bed and half-asleep, that you pinpoint the source of the tension.
You'd have thought he was already asleep, save for the soft carding of his fingers through the baby hairs at the nape of your neck. Deep, even breaths tickle your forehead; he's curled around you, arm draped over your back. Had positioned himself this way silently, looking a little silly brooding in his Muppet-patterned pj pants.
"We're never reading lines again," Pedro whispers into the darkness.
"Was the acting that bad?"
Your attempt for levity falls flat. He is quiet, long enough for you roll backwards slightly, to get a better look at his face. A deep-set frown has taken root.
"No, it..." He tugs you closer again, tucking your head beneath his chin. If he weren't so sad, you'd call uncle for claustrophobia; your nose is squished into his jugular. But you lay still, waiting for him to continue.
"It felt too real," Pedro concedes. He inhales sharply, and you can feel it against your own chest.
The kiss you press to the hollow of his throat, doesn't feel good enough. You wiggle, tilting your head to press one against his toothpaste-tasting lips. Whiskers tickle the corner of your mouth.
"Baby, I know you were... pretending." A thin line between placating him and treading on his professionalism. "If our pretend daughter died in a car crash, I know you wouldn't divorce me for being too sad."
"It's not funny." With a groan, he kisses you again, resting his forehead against yours. "I hated saying that stuff to you. Felt too real."
The bone-crushing spooning is making a little more sense, now.
"I love you, but you're a sap."
"Hmph."
You smile into the next kiss. "A very sweet sap, though."
