I wanted to explain to a friend who hadn't yet played Astral Chain how sync attacks work and how the game uses canned animation sequences to preserve the Platinum flair while ultimately making a game that focuses more on positioning, so I spent some time making this visual aid. Idea I had while watching tottmnt

You know how there's IRL movies where the protagonist is some lame loser dude who ends up paired up in a crazy situation with a badass woman with years of experience in [crazy situation] and she trains him and he's way better than her in half the time and is the only one who can defeat the bad guy and also she swoons and falls in love with him and becomes a submissive wife. The Drow from Silk & Dagger would make those movies with the sexes reversed.

When I did my big word-vomit about why I bounced off 5e and never returned, I did these diagrams that demonstrated how little choice you actually get with each class at each level.

Now that uni is done for the year, and I start writing about my positive experience in recultivating rpgs at my local club, I thought that it might be interesting to do the big dive into EVERY class and subclass to see how they stack up over the years. Potentially, I could also do the same for the initial rules of 5e24.
