notes: first post on this account, figured I'd start off with something pretty simple tags: friends to lovers, confessions, first kisses, hugs, overall just fluff lmfao, claustrophobia, tight spaces, being locked into a closet word count: 1.5k

okay so first of all Lotor would act one of two ways if he had feelings for you

either he'd be extremely suave around you (and of course a blushing mess the second you acted even close to similar)

or he'd be almost mean? like I feel like he would ignore you if you were someone he really cared about and/or someone he was enemies with

in the latter case its a situation where he doesn't want you knowing

I feel like, if you two went from friends to lovers, it would more be the second option, so we're going to go with that

so you've been noticing for a while that Lotor's been ignoring you for a while

and you're like hey bitch what gives, so you go and ask him why

poor lotor is an absolute mess. he has no clue what to say

cause like obviously he can't say, "Yeah I was ignoring you because you're super hot and I'm in love with you." So he just kinda stands there like 🧍 "How can I help you?"

but now ur like lowkey pissed so you just force answers out of him by like getting super mad

and he's just like 😒 "why do u care?"

poor man has a panic attack and then just chases you into the hallway, grabbing you and pinning you against a wall as gently as he can.

"did you... mean that?" lotor forces out, cradling your cheek in his large hand. his cheeks are red, you notice with some satisfaction, and as you revel in this affection after weeks of being starved of it you realize that the likelihood of lotor feeling the same way is really quite large.

so, after working up insane amounts of courage, you go on your tippy toes, guide lotor's head down to a height where you can reach him, and peck him gently on the lips, pulling away quickly, cheeks dusted red. "uh... sorry," you look away, not wanting to make eye contact with him, "If you don't feel the same way... you can just ign-"

"- I do feel the same way," he coughs out, also not meeting your gaze.

"Oh."

Lotor steels himself, then leans down, tilting your head up with his warm hand as he gently meets your lips, deepening the kiss as you smile into it.

After some time he breaks away, smiling.

acxa would be really subtle if she had feelings for you

if you guys go from strangers to lovers, then she'll probably just subtly do things for you

she's going to get a coffee, she'll ask if you want one as well

just the little things

if it's a friends to lovers scenario, she might leave lingering touches along your arms or hands

I feel like her main love language is acts of service, considering she's relatively closed off due to her military history, so she will do more things for you, as I already mentioned. however if she has feelings for you beyond just friendship, she might also cave to your love language as well

physical touch? she's letting you hug her, which leads to ezor teasing her so fucking much because usually acxa will just step back if someone tries something like that

if its gift giving, expect small, practical things likes knives or omnitools. she won't give elaborate gifts all willy-nilly, but she does know what you like for, for example, your birthday

anyway back to the confession (I got a bit off track there lmfao)

so acxa will be realllll subtle, and you'll just be blushing your ass off lmfao

like she'll gently adjust some hair so that it's again behind your ear and you will just go red as a tomato

the issue here is that ACXA IS FUCKING OBLIVIOUS

doesn't notice a thing

this means ezor (best wingman fr) and zethrid (their exhausted gf) have to play cupid and get you two together, because ofc only ezor sees the signs and has to act on them

anyway, the actual confession is relatively simple, because ezor dedicates so much of their time into getting you two into the closet together that zethrid swears she hasn't slept all week

(the sheer amount of failed attempts... is astounding)

so ezor is like, hey, [reader] wanted to meet you here for something top secret and pushes acxa into the closest, meanwhile zethrid just picks you up and drops you inside, closing and locking the door as soon as you two are in there

ofc they're both outside listening in

anyway acxa starts off by trying to break down the door, like the night in shining armor she is, but as soon as she realizes that it's futile she just slumps against the wall and accepts defeat

i mean ofc she knows why ezor is doing this

doesn't mean she has to like it

"so..." you blurt out, awkwardly rubbing the back of your head with your palm. internally, you're panicing at being locked inside a tight space with none other than acxa, the object of your affections, but you hope that you can at least display some composure around her.

you wouldn't want her to think you a complete fool.

acxa raises an eyebrow, "yeah?"

"how are we going to get out of here?" you ask, saying the first thing that comes to mind.

"they'll let us out eventually."

"hopefully. why do you think they locked us in here?" of course you know why the locked you in here. you should never have told ezor about your feelings for acxa, the general always was far too eager to play matchmaker to trust properly with sensitive emotions.

acxa doesn't reply for a while, simply tilting her head at you. she supposes it's now or never. the quicker she confesses the quicker you're both out of here; you've mentioned hating tight spaces before and she doesn't want to inconvenience you any further.

"they locked us in here because of my feelings for you, [reader]."

your eyes widen and your cheeks go red at the implication in her words. "do you-"

"they're romantic, yes, before you ask."

you swallow, "okay. um. I uh-"

"you feel the same way?"

"yes."

acxa sighs, in relief, and stands. as she steps towards you, you reach a hand out so that she may help you up. yet instead of staying standing up she kneels before you, her face at level with yours. as she takes your face in her warm hands, you smile, and she lends you one in return, right before your lips meet hers. the kiss is warm, nice, gentle, soft. you seperate, but before you can lean back against the wall, she grabs your collar, whispers, "may I?", waits for your nod then clashes your lips against her own, this one much hungrier.

ezor tugs the door open right then, but acxa just keeps kissing you.

- Listen, she barely has any interaction with other humans except Keith and even Keith is the worst one when it comes to interacting with humans because he’s a half-alien. Don’t blame her for being distant and snappy, it’s her first time. 

- Being in the Blade of Marmora sort of made her into a softer version of her. Her teammates would be better at expressing themselves than her and while she has Ezor, she would be slightly uncomfortable.

- She would be the same, stiff as board alien when she’s with you. Think Kieth but angrier and more alien-tech guns. She’s trying her best, don’t be cross at her or else she’ll be in a mood and storm off to kill some practice bots. Please comfort her with refreshments after her training practice.

- She would try to learn about human culture when she’s on Earth. She likes to listen to you talk about your culture as she tries to replicate her when she’s back on the Marmora base. She may get weird looks (actually, she gets so many weird looks but mainly amused by Ezor), but she tries her best to try and be prepared for you next date.

- Will not do PDA. If you even attempt to hold her hand, she will glare at you with That™ stare. Kisses on the cheeks maybe, but only when you two are alone.

| Ezor |

- Unlike Acxa, she would be naturally flirty with you, human or alien. Even when she’s under a mission, she would have the time to call you as she makes a fool out of her enemies. Yes, she can hold a call while fighting enemies. A very big flex.

- Not much of her past changes when she has you except she’s not as manipulative as before. While she would still use her flexibility to tease you, she would have a soft expression on her face whenever you do something cute or dumb. Or both. She ain’t picky.

- Would like to learn more about human culture just to have more arsenal for her teasing. What more when she has multitudes of languages she learned when she could add a few more. I’d like to imagine Ezor being multi-lingual because she just loves screwing with people using different languages. If you happen to have a native language that wasn’t English, be prepared one day when she tells you something so disgustingly sweet in your native language that had your heart beat faster.

- Ezor would be the type to display PDA with you among the general public, her Marmora teammates, Ezor specifically, even the Paladins. No one is safe from how lovey-dovey she is and you bet she ain’t stopping.

-I posted a thing with the whole Protect Pidge where she is almost always surrounded by the other paladins and standing next to either Shiro or Hunk.

-Yeah same thing here. But with Zethrid and Lotor. Like fight me on this. She is their Pidge in a way where they all have a soft spot for her and won’t let anything happen to her.

-And remember the amazing reveal at the gladiator fight. She was sitting next to Xathrid. And all the Galra were confused.

-”Like, ok we get the others, but that is a child. I have seen nine years old bigger than her”(I have a headcanon that Galra children are kinda big)

-And we all know people would give judgmental looks to the others. But one wrong look at you and the person is dead. Like, don’t even try it.

LOTOR

-At first he doesn't really expect her to fight because she's so sweet. The main reason he took her in was because she herself is half galra and is most likely shunned.

-And then she fights and he's impressed considering how pure she is. He sees a possible new apprentice. But at the same time he’s low-key protective but won’t admit it.

-I feel like he’d take it upon himself to train her and take care of her. He really sees potential in her.

-Sort of hesitant to allow her to battle but she has to set her place in battle and he knows this. He makes sure his generals watch over her during battle.

-Once she was hurt during a battle with the paladins (Literally just a small scratch) and he was ready for blood.

-He always has her at his side. Not like as a right hand man, but more as a don’t fight this one or I’ll hurt you. You know?

EZOR

-I'd like to think she'd jokingly call her their mascot.

-Like after a battle they won, she'd grab the girl and hold her up cheerleader style and just be so proud of you.

-She loves you. Like no doubt about it, like Space Tye Lee is the best with younger people. That's my headcanon. But at the same time she isn't.

-She really connects with kids but doesn't know the right age to let them begin to learn to fight or do other things like that.

-Would try to make her laugh all the time.

-Sometimes forgets she’s talking to such a young person. She’d handle situations in ways she shouldn’t. Furthering the headcannon about her and younger people

-While she’s not as protective as the others, she still is. Like, protective. Sometimes she follows(not in a creepy stalker way) y/n whenever she’s not near everyone.

ZETHRID

-I feel like she’d help with fighting the most.

-She’d also be so proud of her little sister. Like they go from this innocent child. To the second closest thing to a killing machine a 14 year old can be.

-Expect lots of “advice” from her.

-Did I say advice I meant guidelines on how to make sure you ALWAYS win a battle. Listen, but only half the time. Most of her advice involves going straight for the kill.

-Unless given an order to go away, Zethrid will always be at your side.

-Sometimes she'll carry you on her shoulders just because. Like, I'm sorry but i can lowkey imagine it though.

-Sometimes even give her a piggy back ride if her sister is hurt or tired. And if Zethrid is around that won’t happen.

ACXA/AUXIA

-She was probably the one who recruited her she saw the potential and thought they could be an amazing addition to the team

-I know the request said they’d all see her as a little sister, but I refuse to believe Acxa wouldn’t see her as more of a daughter. Like y’all can fight me on this.

-Takes care of her the most out of anyone. I consider her the mom friend. So of course she’s going to be the literal mom to the small person.

-If y/n ever has things that she needs to talk about, weather is be about battle, sparring, girl things. Auxia is the go to girl.

-Subconsciously is protective and she won’t admit it, but it’s true.

NARTI

-She was kind of standoffish at first. But soon she becomes attatched

-Her cat cuddles up to the girl all the time. And I read a head canon somewhere that if her cat cuddles up to you, she loves you.

-If anyone ever needed to know what you were thinking, she’s the go to Galra.

-I feel like she’d allow you to hold her cat even though she hates when people does it. Mainly because she can’t see without it.

You growled and punched the wall, your anger made you hate yourself for being like this. Being jealous was like a sickness to you, it made you lose your appetite and makes you avoid the sleep like the damn plague. 

“(y/n)? are you in there?”

“it’s me Shiro” 

You opened the door, making sure to hide your injured hand. You smiled sheepishly  but his brooding eyes made you crack, 

“H-hi Shiro, what’s up?” You tried to keep the cracked peppy attitude but his hands sat on your shoulders as he stepped in. The small swoosh filled the quiet room, 

“Are you okay? Recently me and Curtis have seen you- well- more mad and snappy?” He went slightly rigid, fuck- you can never escape these husbands no matter what you did. 

“i just- I feel like..” Tears glided down your face slowly, Shiro acted quickly and wiped away your tears. He held you close as you cried, you rambled about how you felt- something you could only do freely with few people.

“Maybe you should talk to him?” Shiro finally spoke, you looked up and shook your head fast. Vertigo whipped you hard as you stopped.

“no! i don’t wanna seem like an idiot!” You rubbed your eyes a bit harder as tears blinded you once more, from what you could see Shiro shook his head and smiled. 

“You’re not an idiot- what your feeling is normal ok?” You nodded, Shiro gave you one last hug before he left. 

You decided to go to the kitchen for some food since the crying wiped you out, your pace was swift. You hoped to Alfor that you wouldn't run into Keith-

“hey! babe, hey- stop-” You basically ran the other way when you saw him, fucking shit. Left, right, right, left and down the small hallway and..

You were in the indoor garden, well kinda indoor garden. Colleen and Pidge should be getting dinner, I should be safe for a bit. 

“hey (y/n).. (y/n)!” 

You jolted awake and freaked out, thinking there was an emergency but saw Pidges face, her worried eyes searched yours. 

“you ok? Keith is looking for you!” You bit your lip at the sound of your boyfriends name, Pidge rubbed your arm. 

“uh- I kinda am avoiding Keith right now Pidge” You managed to whisper, Pidge rolled her eyes and mumbled a short relationships confuse me

“just talk to him, whatever it is i think he’ll understand? I mean he loves you, im sure its nothing serious.. right?” The last word was forced out, sounded almost painful. You shook your head, you mumbled a short goodbye before heading towards Keith’s room. I have to apologize, im being a child.

Once you open the door to Keith’s room, strong arms wrapped around you as hair tickled your neck. Hands gripped your sides as you jumped up into the arms. im sorry tumbled out of your mouth like a prayer, Keith nipped at your neck.

“don’t avoid me like that okay?” He whimpered, you feet connected with the ground. You cupped his face and smiled, 

“Keith i’m really sorry for avoiding you like a child, I just saw Axca and Veronica flirting with you.. i kinda just got mad.” You apologized, Keith’s purple eyes soften at your words. He cut the space between you. His lips felt like heaven against yours. 

“let me..” You slowly pushed him onto his bed, you climbed onto his lap. His hands wandered across you hips, you leaned down to his neck and kissed his neck. He let out keen whimpers and tugged at your tank top.

You giggled and pulled it off, Keith went straight for the back of the bra, unclasping it. He kissed down to your breasts, your breath became heavier as Keith kisses your nipple, then biting it.

“a-Ah! Keith, baby- HNG!” You keened as Keith flicked your other nipples and then rolling the sensitive bud between his fingers. You pushed him down on the bed, 

“my turn.”

“You’re wrong.”

Both you and your son turned to the source of the voice, not at all really surprised on who spoke with such blind conviction. Allura held her pink helmet in her arm, her dual-toned eyes firmly trying to stare you down. She was a Paladin of Voltron and the last Princess of Altea. She knows her place. She knows herself, even after you lectured her in that cell.

“I have every right to hate Zarkon and distrust the Galra,” she braved a few steps towards you, her silver brows lowered in simmering anger, “What they did to my home is unforgivable. What they did to the universe...I am not the only one who is wary of them on-sight.”

“You’re right, the entire galaxy takes one look at me, one look at Atlas, and would immediately despise our very existence,” you crossed your arms, “The difference between you and everyone else? You were expected to change for better. Expected to use the title Princess to represent your subjects. Expected to put your differences aside to ensure a safer future. And you failed. Miserably.”

It took all of Allura’s willpower to still her tongue. None of the other Paladins were here. She was strictly on her own to prove she can stand up for herself. She can be the Princess, raised right by her father in a society that upholds peace and prosperity above all. 

“You can be a Princess or a Paladin. Not both. You do not have the experience to handle the responsibility of them combined.”

“And what about you?”

Now, that question got your attention. 

“What about me?” you repeated, narrowing your eyes at the accusation held in her voice. 

“You’re the Empress, you’re supposed to take the Emperor’s place in his absence,” Allura continued, “To say I am not worthy of my title when you were in hiding for three years shows you are just as unfit to rule. Your Empire is in shambles because Lotor sheltered you.”

“I suggest you stop talking and do as you were ordered, Allura.”

“No! If I have to admit that my flaws held me back, it’s only fair if your highness does, too!” another step closer and Atlas’ hand inched closer to his blade, “You preach about how not all Galra are evil, yet who are the ones out there that are still killing and enslaving innocent lives?”

“You really don’t get it, do you?” came your immediate reply, “You really think it’s within your right to hate the Galra who have power over you? Over others? It isn’t power that makes them evil, makes anyone evil. It’s what they choose to do with that strength which defines them.”

That she understood, which is why every Galra they faced was labeled as a foe in her eyes. 

“Zarkon used hate to fuel his power and justify his destruction of Altea. But what you don’t know, Allura, is that he was always cruel, even before then. He despised people like me and made sure we understood that he could crush us at any given moment,” a heavy sigh left your lips, “He was always a tyrant. Zarkon was a threat not only to Altea, but to his own kingdom as well.”

There was a reason why you were telling her this, telling her the history that you lived through long ago. The history that made Lotor hate his own father. Your husband wanted a future away from that atrocious stain on the Galra Empire. A future where no one had to live in fear of being the next one or suffering for simply existing in the universe. 

However, this message was lost upon the princess. 

“Then that is your people’s mistake for giving him that power.” 

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. 

You shook your head in disapproval at her then turned around, indicating that this discussion is over. It was hardly a discussion anyways seeing as she refused to understand. That was her biggest problem. She could understand, but her mind was too stuck in the past. She couldn’t move on. Allura was no diplomat. 

“You are dismissed, Allura.”

Clearly peeved with you shrugging her off, she reached forward and grabbed your shoulder, “You’re a coward - “

Before any of the three guardians could rise from their seat to stop Allura, she had screeched a painful scream of agony. Her vision swirled, room spinning as the nerves in her cheek caught up with the feeling of knuckles punching her square in the jaw. Not hard, but just in the right angle to make it hurt even worse. She wasn’t able to react fast enough when a clawed hand tangled in her bun and shoved her face against the cold tile of the ship. 

Your toed boots were all she could see. The sharp edge of a knife against the back of her delicate neck was all she could feel. And that hand gripping her hair tightly? It radiated power, ancient Altean magic capable of the most impossible miracles or devastating murders. Atlas would let her decide. 

“Do not touch my mother.”

Allura’s breath stilled, knees pressed on the floor as her body was angled in a groveling position. She would’ve fought back, done anything to right herself on her feet, but that dagger was breaking into her skin and already drawing a thin line of blood. One of Atlas’ foot held down her wrist and his knee pinned the other, immobilizing her for her treachery. 

Never, ever touch the Empress, let alone a pregnant one. Let alone with ill-intent in mind. 

Your hand came up to dust off your shoulder where her hand dared make contact. Allura couldn’t see you above her, see your eyes judging her disgraceful position on the floor. And that was Atlas’ intention all along. Make her beg for forgiveness. Beg for a pass on her disrespectful behavior a second time. 

“While you are down there, take this note into mind,” you began as Ezor, Zethrid, and Acxa flanked your sides, “This is not power I hold over you. This is respect. This, right here, is earned through blood, sweat, and tears. You think I earned this from hiding?”

The only response she could possibly give was a grunt. 

“You think they are here because Lotor told them to be? You think my son protected me because he despises you? You think I am standing over you because I was coddled my entire life?”

That hand pulsed and slowly, ever so slowly, Allura felt her energy being drained.

“This is your problem, Allura. You foolishly thought you can face me alone and act as you do without consequence. Your allies need you on their team, yet you came here of your own free will to...what? Sway my opinion of you? Is that really the most important priority for you, for the universe, right now?”

“I can’t trust you!” she spoke, to which you only scoffed at her.

“Clearly. And whose fault is that?”

You nodded at Atlas, but he truly didn’t want to let her off so easily. His fingers tightened, nails prodding her scalp, then he growled and suddenly released his hold. Allura wasn’t aware of it at the time, but she was holding her breath in...fear? She wasn’t afraid of death. She welcomed it with open arms for a good cause.

But you...you could’ve killed her. You could’ve taken her choice away from her. That was the cold, realizing fear making her heart beat too quickly in her armored chest. Allura scrambled up to her feet just in time to see Atlas’ hands fading back from the magical glow. He was draining her quintessence, sapping her energy from her body.

“I need to trust you,” she said, more to herself.

“No. You really don’t. And I don’t need to trust you, either.”

Again, you turned around, heading for your chambers and leaving her to think about her selfish actions once more. And maybe, maybe this time the gravity of the universe’s fate will be more important than her pride as a Princess, as a Paladin.

“I need you to do your job. Maybe you can start by getting the other Paladins to respect you first.”

Because if they did respect her as the Princess, as a valued teammate, then why the fuck weren’t they here at her side?

~ One night when Acxa came back to her and your habsuite late she knew that you were already asleep, so she quietly got ready for bed

~ When Ezor came back to her and your shared habsuite late one night and saw that all of the lights were off she knew that you were asleep

~ She quickly got ready for bed, but when she got into bed she saw that you were sleeping with something

~ Ezor quickly realized that it was her old favorite plushie that she had since she was little

~ She didn't mind that you were sleeping peacefully with it since she figured that you missed her and couldn't fall asleep very well

~ After a longer than expected day Narti finally got to go back to her and your habsuite

~ She was tired, but she was able to quickly and quietly get ready for bed

~ When she sat on the bed and before Kova fell asleep on his bed he helped Narti see that you had her favorite blanket covering you

~ Narti thought it was cute how you slept with her favorite blanket over you

~ She was able to get under the large blanket with you so that she could spoon you

~ Zethrid didn't get back to her and your shared habsuite until after you went to bed, so she was as quiet as possible as she got ready for bed

~ As she got into bed with you she noticed that you were wearing one of her shirts

~ Zethrid thought that it was one of the cutest things that you could have ever done

~ She liked seeing you wearing her shirts even they were too big for you

~ She wouldn't mind of you wore her shirts more often

I don’t ship anything from VLD, for a lot of reason. I do have a lot of Voltron ships I sail.

Lotor x OCs. I have two at the moment. 

Lotor x DOTU Merla. I loved DOTU Merla! She was my favorite female character from the show, and I’m so sad that the showrunners did nothing with her character other then use her name for a side character. DOTU Merla was the only character in the whole show that truly loved Lotor. If they had brought in a proper version of the DOTU character. We all could have gotten the badass, intelligent, complex, powerful, morally gray female character we deserved. And Lotor would have found someone whom truly loved him for him. Not for what he was. 

Lotor x DOTU Allura/Fala.DOTU Allura was genuinely kind, empathic, badass, willing to proven herself, and diplomatic. I feel she and VLD Lotor would have had the Lotura ship we didn’t get in VLD. And that DOTU Allura was the women Lotor was hoping to find in VLD Allura.

Lotor x DOTU Romelle. DOTU Romelle I feel was in between DOUT Merla and Allura. She was sweet and good hearted, but also a really taught badass. Skaiahart made some excellent points on why I would ship Lotor and DOTU Romelle togather. 

Basically these are the Voltron ships I sail. All are with Lotor. 

I forget to mention. I used to ship Lotor with Acxa. This was before season seven was dropped and Acxa ended up being the showrunners hate lotor monkey. Before then, I thought Acxa had been in love with Lotor before the start of the show and was still in love with him, and somehow in the second half of season seven or the first half of season eight. She would be the one to reason with him, that her love for him would be reviled, Lotor would relized that It was Acxa that truly loved him. But alas. Like VLD Lotura, It wasn’t meant to be. 

Oh shit! I also ship Lotor x Ven’tar! I love the ship! It’s so cute and I can’t help but feel that she was his very first romance even if she wasn’t his first. 

I just have so many Lotor ships I can’t remember them all!
