Fred is a mooshroom, for reasons that are probably obvious. I don't have much to say about him other than everytime I look at his starry eyes so filled with kindness my heart shatters into a million pieces

Xara is a bird, maybe a feathered dragon? Idk I knew I wanted to give her an elytra and other End things but couldn't quite lock in on the dragon vibes. Wanted to give her horns but it didn't work with her hair </3

I genuinely love ayato's new look. I was surprised when you said it was ugly. I couldn't even stop looking at his waist face😅

My problem with his whole look is that it’s basically infantilization mixed with soft-core provocation, and that clash is exactly what makes it so weird. We know he is baby-faced in canon, but this doesn’t mean his body or style can’t be sexy. I’d get it if it were just the art style and all the Diaboys were drawn with similar proportions, but it’s obvious that Ayato was deliberately given less broad shoulders, a slimmer waist, and thinner arms compared to the others. There’s nothing wrong with having those features, the issue is that his pose was clearly designed to highlight them on purpose, in a way that feels... off. Like, why would you make an already young-looking character look even younger?? This isn’t even the first time they’ve done this either. Some DL artists seem really determined to push this overly cute, borderline childish image of Ayato, and it’s getting to the point where it feels OOC. Not even Kanato, who’s into cross dressing, would appear so zesty, lol.

At this point I near convinced myself I made it up but it's worth an ask, maybe if not you someone else remembers it too. So here it is: Was there ever a poll regarding the Shire's population? I remember that and/or one regarding the family structure of hobbits but I was so sure if not a poll as per say a link to it under a poll. I've scoured the depths of the blog's archive and can't for the life of me find it.

Tl:dr, hobbit population works perfectly well, both internally and in the perceptions of outsiders, if the majority of the Shire is gay, they’re all polyamorous, and they all firmly claim to be parents of high numbers of children. Of course Frodo fathered Sam’s kids - he named them! They were pledge-kin but not hearth-kin, as Frodo needed a lot of quiet and stability in the home.

I’m just gonna say it, the newer generations (yes even that one other trans/nonbinary person you think would never hurt you) are way too comfortable pedojacketing their former friends/partners. Just because someone hurt you or you didn’t like the way they acted around you, doesn’t mean they’re a pedo or some shit. I’m tired of seeing this happen to other younger trans folks and I’m tired from having gone through it myself with younger nonbinary folks. It’s always the younger folks too it feels like. You need some reason to try to “cancel” someone even though you have no evidence and no case whatsoever because you would rather be in control and be angry than face your own sadness and sit with your discomfort at a situation that doesn’t require any public outcry!

Got lost in my head and came to a lil realization-

Tumblr is NOT a safe space for people on the spectrum. Not unless you're in specific communities on Tumblr that are about the spectrum.

Honestly the internet isn't a safe place for us because the amount of masking and effort we go through to look over out messages and posts before sending them out is exhausting. Having to go over our own thoughts in a little post like this just so we aren't dismissed, ostracized, or frowned upon for our 'odd thinking' or 'wrong words' is so freaking stressful.

Especially in a creative space for those on the spectrum. There are so many things our brain does in that apartment people would normally find offensive or wrong and that I've been shamed for it's surreal.

So again: Tumblr is NOT a safe space for those on the spectrum.

I didn't think this would get any views or anything cuz it was legit just midnight ramblings but I woke up to so many notifications.

I'm glad that there are many who do feel safe on Tumblr and it stays that way for you. However there are some that understand where I personally come from. I have found friends, communities, and the like on the internet [and on Tumblr] that have become safe spaces for me.

Tumblr was one as a whole where I could share my creative side and relish in some acceptance until- like I'm sure a lot on the spectrum have experienced- I did something that was seen as morally wrong in a way I didn't understand and seemed to become a social pariah because of it. People I considered safe blocked me, or soft blocked me and we went from sharing moments daily to never speaking or acknowledging each other. I was harassed and told that 'not understanding how what I did was considered wrong' was an excuse to avoid accountability. Attempting to explain how my brain worked was seen as 'attention/pity seeking'.

It's not the first time I encountered situations like this just because of the way I think, things I say or do, that go against societal norms and was met in harsh ways. Just the first time in a space I thought safe so soon after my own diagnosis so perhaps it's my personal feelings that make Tumblr no longer safe. Maybe I just got unlucky.

Either way- thank you all for your input, thoughts and stories and I really really hope that should any of you find yourself in a situation like mine you are met with acceptance and understanding and people who will stand by you.
