You were used to the title of "friend". You were friends with the band. You met Nick first, some years ago and he introduced you to everyone else, and after that, where everyone was, you weren't far behind.

You graduated with a degree in photography a couple of years ago, and when the chance of touring with the band and learn from Bryan was presented to you, you couldn't refuse. Who would?

You don't exactly remember when things changed so drastically. Granted, you couldn't call Noah your best friend, but you talked to him everyday, you joked around together and even had a secret sign whenever you were at a party, to tell the other one of you was feeling a little overwhelmed, and was going to step out for a bit.

Looking back at it now, you realized these moments only held significance to you. You thought back to the night everything changed. How he was talking to you so smoothly, how he looked you in the eye and payed attention to every word you were saying, how his hands touched your thighs and finally, how he asked you if you wanted to get out of there and maybe go up to his room.

You also remembered how he asked you to leave not even 15 minutes after you were done, how he laid there scrolling on his phone as you gathered your clothes and put them back on, saying goodbye but not sticking around to hear his response. Pain clawed at your chest, but you pushed it down.

So when it happened again at a house party they were throwing, you left before he had to tell you. You told yourself you could do this, you liked him as a friend and not as something more. Besides, you were having fun and he was good, and by the way he was the one seeking you out everytime, you figured he felt the same.

You just didn't consider the fact that you were totally not the only one he was having sex with. Because right now, you were sat at a table at a bar the boys saw not too far away from the venue they were playing at, deciding that a night of drinking was in the cards to commemorate the sucess of the tour so far. And he was at the bar chatting up a pretty blonde. You wanted to know if he was telling her the same things he told you that first time.

"Looks like someone is getting lucky tonight, huh?" Nick sat down next to you, nodding towards Noah and the pretty blonde.

"Looks like it", you acted nonchalant, if any of the boys knew about this thing going on between the two of you, none of them mentioned anything. "He does this often?", you asked him, fishing for information. You had the priviledge of this being the first tour you were embarking on from beggining to end, so no one really thought anything more of your questions.

"Only when we have a hotel room. Can't really do much on a tour bus, you know?", you hummed in agreement, Nick said he was getting more drinks and excused himself.

Later that night, Noah left early (with the pretty blonde) and you went to bed alone.

So you decided to do what you did best: distance yourself from him. Every night, you always showed the boys the pictures you'd taken on your camera. Now you told them you wanted to wait until you edited them. You just didn't want anyone to notice you started taking less and less photos of Noah.

Nights out also became less frequent, but everyone just thought the exhaustion of being on tour was finally catching up to you. You didn't bother giving them any other explanation. You had to remind yourself that you were here working, this was your job and you were not gonna let him distract you from that.

You were currently working on some photographs you took on the previous nights, the chatter on the tour bus filling the space. You saw a can of White Claw appear in your field of vision. You didn't have to look up to see that Noah was handing it to you.

You took it from his hand and thanked him, popping it open.

"Is everything good?", he questioned you. He was used to you asking him to sit down, sometimes he would even observe you working because he found it just so relaxing. This time, you barely aknowledged him, just taking the beverage from his hand and going back to work.

"Yeah, just concentrated, you know?", you said, not diverting your eyes from your screen. He thought it was weird, but if you didn't want to talk about it, he wasn't gonna push you. He observed you for the rest of the night.

You honestly didn't know what you expected. For him to take your hands in his and tell you how concerned he was about your sudden distance? For him to notice you were hurting from the decision you made yourself? How much you didn't want to accept that you were like the other girls he banged on a weekly basis? Deep down you knew there was no way for him to know those things if you didn't communicate with him. But he acted like he already forgot what happened, you didn't want to be the one hung up on something that is never going to evolve.

You said, "We're not together" So now when we kiss, I have anger issues

The guys played a festival today. The atmosphere was so different and exciting that it actually took your mind off of things. You met so many other professionals and exchanged so many experiences.

You were talking to Liam backstage as the boys were getting ready to go on stage. You noticed he used a camera different from yours and was excitedly asking him all kinds of information. You were interested in modifying your set up and try other things.

He showed you some pictures he took from earlier in the day and explained to you all the different settings and how he liked to adjust them. You were so distracted that you didn't notice Noah coming up behind you.

"We'll be up in 5 minutes", he told you, startling you quite a bit.

"Ok, I'll take my spot shortly", he nodded, but said nothing else, walking back to the band, the boys going over some last-minute details.

You found it weird, no one ever had to tell you what time you had to do your job, because you know. You decided to exhange numbers with Liam so you could continue this conversation later. You grabbed his phone and started to type your number.

"C'mon, Y/N", you heard Noah again, his behavior starting to piss you off. You signaled for him to wait.

"You're gonna be late, we're going on stage now", he wouldn't leave you alone. You handed Liam's phone back to him and bid him goodbye.

"What the hell are you on my ass about? I know what time I have to do my job, you don't have to remind me", you didn't wait for a response, grabbing your equipment and making your way to side stage.

The interaction put you in a sour mood for the rest of the day and everyone noticed. Your smiley and excited self was now gone, your face serious as you kept your conversation with other people short.

With the festival ending, you made your way to the tour bus, as you waited for the equipment to be loaded so everyone can hit the road again.

Noah was the first one to be back, as he took a seat in front of you. Both of you stayed silent until he decided to speak up.

"Seems like you and Liam were having a pretty good conversation", he noted, not looking at you, picking on a loose strand from his sweatpants.

"Yeah, he was pretty attentive", you responded, not knowing where he wanted to go with this conversation and why Liam was relevant.

"Oh, I bet he was", he let out a low chuckle.

"Yes, he was. Is there anything wrong about a professional conversation?", you crossed your arms in front of you, getting a little bit defensive.

"Professional conversation? Please, tell me you're not this dense", you were in disbelief, catching on to where this conversation was headed. "You honestly didn't notice that this guy is just trying to get in your pants?"

"Please, Noah. Don't compare every man to your shitty self", you scoffed, getting up to leave.

"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?", he got up after you and you could feel his presence on your back. You turned around to face him.

"Didn't you do just that to get in my pants not too long ago?", your eyes were fierce and held a fire to them.

"Oh, so that is what this is about?"

"I don't know, is it? You're the one who all of a sudden came here telling me who wants to get in my pants", you needed him to enlighten you, because you had sex twice and not even once he came looking for you to talk about it.

"I just thought you wouldn't be so easy", your opened your mouth in shock at his words. Surely this can't be the same person you knew.

"So now you're calling me a whore as well? You weren't complaining about how easy I was when I was sucking you dick"

"That is not what I said", he tried to defend himself.

"Well you might as well have", there was a pause in conversation, but you weren't planning on letting him say anything else. "I don't know what the fuck is wrong with you. Izana was yelling at you as the discussion got getting worse and stressful for both, you started to cry, afraid of the way Izana was behaving, the fact that you started to cry pissed him off deeply, so he ended up holding you by the neck and told you to hold back your "annoying fucking cry", you looked at him with a scared look, fearing the worst at that moment, but as soon as you noticed the redness on your neck and the terror in your eyes, Izana let go of you.

"N-no, you don't have to be afraid of me! I'm so sorry! I'm sorry for the shit I almost just did to you, love." He walked away from you, not believing what he was doing, Izana snapped back to reality and realized he was hurting the person he loved the most.

"Your face... Please, baby, I'm so fucking sorry!" Ran bent down towards you and gave you a hug, later, he took care of your injuries and promised that he would never do that again.

Takeomi is a aggressive person, especially with words, but he never hit you, you never thought he would, until everything changed

You and Takeomi were fighting, fights were routine in your relationship, despite that, everything was fine after a while, but, Takeomi had overindulged in alcohol that day, for that reason, he started yelling at you, when you threatened to raise the voice at him, he held it in your face, throwing you against the wall, telling you to shut up and cursing you.

At that moment you just expected the worst, your face was hurt and the tears wouldn't stop falling, when Takeomi realized that you had shut up and your face was hurt, he immediately hugged you.

"See what the fuck you almost made me do? Don't ever behave like that again, I'll never do that again." He said, stroking the wound he had caused on your face.

Wakasa was always very calm, he doesn't like to fight with you, so he was never aggressive or even yelled at you, but, you ended up arguing that day.

In this time it really was a serious fight, Wakasa at that moment no longer I couldn't bear to hear your screams anymore so, in an act of pure rage, he ended up slapping you in the face, you just looked at him, with fear in your eyes, you started crying, asking him to get away from you, your face was burning and it was red, Wakasa was just standing in front of you looking at you in that state he himself had left.

He was in total shock, looking at your bruised face, Wakasa felt totally guilty, he never meant to hit you or hurt you, but at that very moment he just couldn't control himself.

"Y-your face, is it really hurt? I'm so sorry..." He begged for your forgiveness, but you just told him to go away, still scared and afraid he would hit you again.

Hanma has raised his voice to you before, despite that, he has never been aggressive, until that day

You were arguing and Hanma was clearly losing control, he was yelling at you, and when you walked away from him, he grabbed your arm, with a strength he had never shown you before, leaving you with reddened and painful skin, you looked at him scared, afraid he would hit you, but as soon as Hanma realized the fact that he was hurting him, he immediately pulled away, seeing your injured arm and tears in his eyes.

"I can't believe I almost did that shit! Damn, I'm sorry, I never meant to hurt you, I don't deserve you my love, I'm sorry!" He hugged you, taking care of your arm that he ended up hurting in anger, Hanma would never have the intention of hurting you, so he never even raised his voice to you after that day.

Are we, or are we not getting a Murder Drones Season 2?

So, the teaser for episode 8 states that the episode is the finale for the series. However, there have been quite a few different instances that would imply the existence or planned existence of a second season.

When the teaser for murder drones’ first season originally dropped, it teased ‘murder drones season one’, implying that there would be more than one season, and that this would be the first. If they had planned for there to only be one season, they would have/should have titled it something like ‘murder drones: the series’ or just ‘murder drones’ as they have done more recently.

There have also been different instances of the team behind murder drones mentioning this being the first season, not the only season. The most important instance of this is when Liam Vickers mentioned that season one was for the show to find its footing for future seasons, which is now a seemingly false statement.

At some point in the show's development, I believe around the time ep. 5 or 6 released, the language around murder drones changed, not mentioning it as being the first season anymore, and just being murder drones.

This was also around the time or just before Glitch started to take on more shows, like The Amazing Digital Circus and Lackadaisy. They started to imply that murder drones would only have one season around this time.

Now, most of my thoughts are just speculation, but I think that after the success of TADC and Glitch taking on a few other shows, they had stretched themselves too thin, and something had to give. 

I'm not saying all the other shows that Glitch is making ended Murder Drones. This could have been the plan from the start, and they were using the wrong wording early on and gave us all false hope. But, I think that there is the possibility that Glitch had to let murder drones end earlier than everyone would have liked.

Again, this is all speculation, could be totally false, and probably is. Don't harass any creators associated with Glitch, Glitch themselves, or any voice actors that work for them.

But, I do think that there is a small, very small, chance that we could still be getting a season two after all, especially if we end on a cliffhanger or downer ending. When Meta runner season 2 ended, i believe it was called a series finale at the time, but it got a third season two years later! It's very, very, unlikely, but we could keep our hope up for about a year or two before I say it could be gone for certain. This could also be a temporary shelving of the series while they work on the other shows, as some other people have pointed out. I could return in a few years with an anthology series or something. (I swear it's not the copium talking)

Again, don't harass Glitch or any of their associates. We definitely won't get a season two if we're asses about it. Besides, like Michael Kovach said in a recent livestream (I think?), N at the very least is probably gonna pop up again with how popular he is, so our boy won't be gone forever, and I think Uzi and V won’t be too far behind him.

AITA for having a daddy kink?

I (32M) have been with my bf, T (45M) for a few months now, and besides the first date (if you remember my post about that, I'm so sorry for the secondhand embarrassment I caused everyone) everything is going really well! Or at least I thought so.

Last week, my boss (who's kind of like the dad I never had) (he's also my bf's old boss but that's not really relevant) was in the hospital after a cartel burned down his house. He's fine now. Made a full recovery. But T and I met up at my place after I left the hospital so we could have dinner. I finally made this new lasagna recipe just right after trying to figure it out for WEEKS and it was delicious.

We were talking about things while we ate, like we've done on all of our dates, and we started talking about my boss in the hospital. T even asked if I was okay, which is a little weird because I'm not the one who was in a fire or the emergency room, but it was sweet. He's really sweet. He's always checking in to make sure I'm okay and he's not doing anything that makes me uncomfortable, and that's really new, but good! Anyway, talking about my boss (and how he's kinda my dad) made T bring up his rough relationship with his own father, and one of his other old bosses, and I could tell it was a little uncomfortable.

Who likes to talk about their strained relationships with family? I know I don't. I always try to change the subject when anyone tries to talk about my parents with me. So I did that.

All I did was joke that we both have daddy issues - because we do, no matter what he says about it - and it's so easy to just talk to him, you know? So maybe I was a little flirty. Okay, I was a lot flirty, but I just wanted to make him smile because I don't like seeing the people I love upset. And maybe that fed into some innuendos. And maybe we kind of came to the conclusion that I really like calling him "daddy" in bed. I had a really good night after dinner. It was great.

And it was all great. This is the happiest I've been in a really long time. I don't think I've ever been this happy in a relationship, actually. It feels so light and easy and like he actually likes me, not some idea of me or the potential I have to be something else? That's something I'll unpack with my therapist later. Don't worry about it.

Anyway, things were great until I talked about it with my best friend, E (32M) - and I'm trying to take what he's said with a grain of salt, because he's going through a lot of major changes in his life right now, and he probably just wanted me to stop talking about my sex life, but still...

He said that because T made the comment while we were talking about our boss being in the hospital, he was just taking advantage of my childhood trauma to try out a kink. Because we were talking about something pretty serious, he never should have turned things in that direction - flirty and sexual - while I was worried and stressed, and he was totally brushing off how I was feeling in the moment. I thought it was fine in the moment, even fun, but E has known me for the last 6 years and has watched me get into and out of relationships that weren't always good for me, and now I'm worried that he's right and it's happening again. I really trust his opinion and I know he just wants to look out for me.

I guess I just don't know how to feel. I really like T, and he hasn't done anything to hurt me, and I'm happy. But E does see things from a different angle, maybe less biased than I do because I'm in the middle of it. I don't know who to trust more right now. I thought I was the one who made the conversation flirty and brought up the daddy issues to lighten the mood and make us smile more, but is my best friend right? Is T brushing off my feelings and sexualizing our relationship? Or is E just overly protective because I've been hurt in the past?

I guess this isn't really an AITA - Is He (T) The Asshole (IHTA) for joking about my daddy issues hopefully giving me a daddy kink, too, in the middle of a dinner date?

Just finished Skyward Sword! And I finished A Link Between Worlds a few days ago.

So, double post time! I'll start with ALBW because I had a few days to sit on that one.

Also just realized that with the completion of Skyward Sword, I have officially played and completed every 3D Zelda game! YIPPEEE!

(Long post below the cut!! Along with major spoilers for both aforementioned games!)

Ravio is SO SILLY. Though, he's already talked about a lot. Anything I could say about him has probably already been said.

But hey, I can't help but really like this silly guy who stole my house and all my rupees, okay? He's a little rascal.

So instead, I love Hilda having a clear motivation behind her actions. She is just trying to restore her kingdom. She wants her people to thrive. But she turned to the triforce instead of trying to find better meds to maybe help her people. Though the place was literally breaking apart, so maybe there really wasn't anything else that would've worked.

The story of this game is really heavy in the last 30 minutes, and that's really it. Before that it's just dungeons. Oh, and helping Ravio retire. I absolutely LOVED that XD

So, the distribution of the story could've been done better. But really, this game is so underrated for a Zelda game. Also, the whole moving through walls thing is super fun. LOVED that mechanic. Altogether, great game.

Okay, on to Skyward Sword!

SO good. This game does NOT deserve all of the negativity the surrounded it for some reason. Sure, I used button controls (I couldn't figure out motion controls for the life of me pff) but STILL! I think the Switch version definitely made it easier on me. Though idk what the Wii version is like so I shouldn't be trying to compare them lol.

On to non-gameplay stuff, the dungeons were so cleverly designed. As someone who is not particularly smart, I never found myself super stuck in the dungeons. Instead, I had a lot of fun with them! That's always a plus with me, but I don't find too much shame in looking up a walkthrough here or there.

Story! So fun! I loved Groose's character arc especially. I totally despised him at first but he reached silly status pretty quickly. His character was handled really well, too. He didn't just flip personalities. He showed his flip through his actions, not his words. Which for Groose is a perfect choice.

Also, Ghirahim is SUCH a theatre kid. Nothing can change my mind on that. (And before anyone gets mad, I'M a theatre kid. I know what we act like.)

I find it interesting that the whole game only takes place in three regions that you visit over and over again. Other Zelda games have done this before, but I think Skyward Sword does it the most. I loved all the regions, but tbh I think the forest was the most boring to me. The Ancient Cistern was cool though. I won't deny that. Also, Eldin was probably the most traumatizing for Sky. SO many bad things happened there lol. Like being burned because of how hot it is, then finding chains Zelda has definitely been bound in, being told he was too late. Then he comes back later and not much traumatizing stuff that time. Maybe getting chased by lava, probably not lasting trauma, just scary for a minute lol. But when he comes back a final time, the volcano erupts, covering the sky in ash and leaving him with no return to the sky. To make matters worse, he gets beaten up and captured by monsters and all his stuff was stolen. Wow I just wrote a lot about Eldin pfff

Sadly, I already knew about the whole Zelda is Hylia thing. I kinda wish I hadn't known that. That cutscene probably would've been cooler if I played this game in the complete dark.

Also, Link is so subtly expressive in this game. He actually has facial expressions! I love how at the end of the game, you can SEE Link's determination. You can see his desire to cut Demise down and save his world. I LOVE his expressiveness!

One thing I didn't know was that Demise was the Imprisoned. That actually surprised me.

Then there's Impa. I already figured out that the Old Lady was Impa before the reveal. So that was just "I called it." But here's the silly part about that cutscene: I read fanfic saying she died once. But of course I let my guard down. I believed that the author had Impa die from Ghirahim hitting her. And so, literally one text box away from the scene, I sent my sister in law a text like "lol, idk why I thought Impa dies. She's literally been here the whole time."

I had to send a text probably two seconds late saying "nvm, she died."

Whoopsies, silly me XD

Last thing I wanna say! (I think.) The whole lightning in the end battle is SICK! And now all the lighting scars people give Sky make sense. That's probably one of my favorite scar headcanons, honestly. That and Wild's blast scar. Also love giving Twilight a nasty arm scar, but I'm getting off track.

So yeah! Those are my silly disjointed thoughts on both the games I finished recently! Now I only have 2D games left to play. My list became so much smaller! It went from having ten games to just five.

Just have the Oracles games, Link's Awakening, the original and Adventure of Link to play! (I'm debating which one to start with. Probably the Oracles games to I can get Legend's character down better.)

Chapter 2: Feverish start

The teacher was writing the assignment for today when suddenly, the bell rang. Finally, you thought. You weren't feeling the best today, you were sure you caught a fever

"Alright, students. Enjoy your break." He said before exiting the classroom. You stood up and so did Alhaitham. You turn your head to the side just to see the others walking towards the two of you.

"It's literally only lunchtime and we already have so much homework... On Monday too" Aether complained.

"Shouldn't you be used to it already?" Kaveh asked as you all exited the classroom. "And Y/n, you look paler than usual?" You glared at him before muttering "Say another word and I'll have you meet death before me."

Kaveh just shook his head before mumbling "You might meet it before me at this point."

Tighnari walked beside you while Alhaitham who was beside you a minute ago was now talking to Kaveh about the upcoming school activities. Being a member of the student council has its disadvantages.

"Hey, are you sure you're fine?" He asked, his voice was filled with concern. Alhaitham was one to see right through you. Before you could reply Nilou also asked about your well-being as well.

"I'm fine, you guys don't need to worry"

I'm totally not fine, you thought. You didn't want them to worry about you, hence you lied.

"Alright, students. That is it for today, your last-period teacher informed me she won't be able to attend today so enjoy your early dismissal. Class dismissed."

You were placing your things back in your bag, Alhaitham called out your name. "Y/n,"

You turned to look at him before replying with a "Yes?"

"Meet me at the student council meeting

place after you're done." He said, as he swiftly swung his bag around his shoulder. You nod your head and continue on what you were doing as he left with Cyno and Aether.

"Wanna get Ice cream before our meeting later, Y/n?" Kaveh asked. You simply shook your head.

"Can't do that. Alhaitham wants to meet me before the others. He wants to discuss some things, I guess."

He smiled at your response "Alright, try not to argue too much, yeah?"

You sarcastically rolled your eyes at what he said. Not minding his laugh afterward.

"Make sure Alhaitham has a hard time dealing with you; my money is on the line." Dehya chuckled.

"Oh my archons, not you too." Tighnari and Nilou just smiled as you looked annoyed. Despite the look of annoyance, they knew you weren't serious, just tired. They knew you long enough to know when you were serious and when you were simply tired.

You messaged your temples, feeling your head began to throb again. Kaveh saw this and stopped laughing. "You good?"

"Yeah, I'm just tired."

"Uhm, Excuse me, Vice Pres." You turned to see a student. He was familiar though you didn't know his name. He was by the door.

"What?" Your voice was stern and cold. Anyone could sense there was a hint of annoyance along with it.

"A-Alhaitham wants me to e-escort you" The poor guy looked terrified. You grabbed your things and went out with the guy, leaving the others giggling and squealing like little girls.

"Don't mind her, she's just not feeling well!"

The walk there was awfully quiet. The student didn't seem to want to start a conversation with you, hence, you started it yourself. Feeling guilty about speaking to him with such a tone.

"I apologize for my tone earlier. I was just tired when you called for me" He finally stopped looking terrified like his mood did a whole  change.

"It's alright, Vice Pres. You must be tired from stress. Being a Student Council and a top student at the same time must be hard."

You looked at him for a second. Despite this being the first time you talked to him, it was a nice feeling having someone who could understand your behavior."It is."

"Are you a first-year?" You strike a question.

"I am! I really look up to you. You're so smart and hardworking and all!" His answer made you laugh. You'll probably brag to Alhaitham about it later on.

You reached the meeting room and opened the door to see Alhaitham with his nose buried inside a book again. He didn't seem to notice your arrival as he was wearing his headphones as well.

"Thank you for escorting me. I appreciate it" The student smiled in return "You're welcome Vice Pres. Good luck!" And with that, he left.

You walked towards the table before slamming your palm on the table, loud enough to earn his attention. You smiled, "Hi,"

You heard his tongue click out of annoyance. "Was that necessary?"

You sat down next to him. You were going to let your face fall on the table, but before it could hit the cold surface, Alhaitham placed a plush-like pillow. Your face landed on the soft object. You turned to look at him, face still on the pillow.

"Thank you?" He didn't respond, instead, He closed the book he was reading and placed his hand on your forehead. You silently winced as his cold hand made contact with your skin.

"So I was right. You are having a fever." He said as you looked at him, muttering something inaudible.

"Do you have to state that?"

"You look feverish; I'm sure you know you are having a fever, yet you still decided to go to school today." His hand moves away from you.

You sighed, burying your face on the pillow. "I didn't want to miss out on anything."

He took out his phone, texting someone. Silently glancing at you once. "I shouldn't be surprised with your answer." He flicked my forehead earning a yelp from you.

"What the heck was that for?!" You angrily asked. Looking more annoyed than ever. "Just rest and listen to what I'll discuss with you."

As he was discussing, he turned his head a bit to look at you, he saw that you were already asleep.  Alhaitham stared at you before his hand reached out to move the stray hairs away from your face, tucking them behind your ears.

He quietly stood up, making sure not to make a sound. He took the remote control of the Air conditioner and adjusted its temperature so you wouldn't get cold.

He received a phone notification afterward. He took his phone out of his pocket and unlocked it. Reading the text he received.

He went back to his seat. Eyeing the girl beside him. He took out his laptop and began typing for his research. Letting time pass silently.

You wake up to the sound of keyboard typing. Your head rose from the pillow as you let out a yawn, earning his attention. You rub your eyes gently with your fist as he stops typing.

"You're awake already? I was expecting you to sleep till 3:50." You stared at him before resting your face on the pillow once more.

"It's fine, I have some energy now... I think."

He just stared at you before looking back at his laptop. "I'm sorry for sleeping while you were discussing."

He looks at me again before saying "Don't apologize, you needed to rest."

You just hummed in return. The atmosphere was light, there was no awkwardness in it at all. You were enjoying the peacefulness when all of a sudden, the door burst open, earning both of your attention.

"Hello! I'm surprised you guys aren't bickering at the moment." Kaveh entered the room as you gave him a look of disgust.

"What the hell?" He took a seat in front of the two of you, Ignoring your remark.

"Here's a proper meal and some snacks along with medicine. Eat up now!" He handed you the paper bag. You were confused. You didn't recall asking for any.

"Since when did I request for snacks and meds?" He turned to Alhaitham and you turned to him too.

"I requested them. Your fever might get worse if we leave it untreated." Alhaitham said, not bothering to look up from his laptop.

You opened the box of pocky sticks, before you could open the wrapper, "Eat the meal before the snacks."

You and Kaveh watched as Alhaitham took the box of pocky sticks away from you, giving you the meal instead. His eyes locked with yours. "Do you need me to spoon-feed you as well?"

You immediately shook your head, taking a spoonful of the food while Kaveh burst out laughing. Alhaitham's words earned two different reactions.

"Didn't know you could be caring" you muttered loud enough for him to hear as Kaveh rested his chin on his palm that was on top of the table, watching the two of you with a teasing smile on his face.

"I was merely taking care of you who's too busy trying to beat me to the point she forgot to take care of herself, no?"

"You bitc-"

And with that, another one of your daily arguments started while Kaveh on the other hand, took one of your snacks he bought and started eating while watching the two of you argue. A smile still rested on his face as he found your interaction amusing.

Fun facts:

• Alhaitham would always look after Y/n when she was sick. It became a habit as they grew older.

•Alhaitham became Student Council President not because he wanted to, but because Y/n forced him to.

•Y/n forced him to become Student Council President because she didn't like the other candidates and she thought they were unfit for a leader.

I don't think this is THE most dramatic storyline I've ever done, but I'm gonna share this one because it was 100% gameplay and had me sweating lol.

I started a legacy challenge when TS4 came out. I was 100% vanilla and learning the mechanics of this game. If you've ever done a legacy challenge without mods, you know the struggle of that first generation when they are homeless and you're trying to generate income for them while also finding food, taking 147 naps, and also trying to find a spouse on normal life. The ladies were not kind to my guy Xavier, and he was an adult by the time he found one he liked. She wasn't the cutest, but they were cute together. He asked her to marry him, and the day before the wedding, she came over to tell him she couldn't have children. That should totally be interpreted as she was an elder! I was SO mad! Having was very important to him, so he called off the wedding and started looking for new love. He got back out there, and the ladies weren't any better the second time around. He finally found someone and asked her to marry him, and she said no. He tried again a few days later, and again, she said no! He's approaching his elder birthday now, and I am PANICKING!! He tried a third time, and finally she said yes. They got married the next day because he was not going to risk her changing her mind. They tried for a baby that night, but the baby was a girl and my legacy was a strict patriarchy. Luckily, his wife was a bit younger than him so she had a little more time to have another baby. I let them enjoy the one for a couple of days before trying again. Luckily, he was a boy, and I could continue the challenge. Phew!

There is a post that says that Alicent is not delusional to think that Rhaenyra agreed to make peace after Luke's death and begins to make comparisons with Cat who freed Jaime because it was more important for her to get her daughters back than her revenge for Ned, so it wasn't delusional to expect that Rhaenyra would rather keep her other children safe than avenge Luke.

My initial reaction was 🤨 something is very wrong here, but then the more I thought about it my reaction changed to 🙄😒🫨😫😠😡🤬 and I can finally articulate it well.

First, yes, Alicent is totally and completely delusional, I want to clarify that from the beginning and that comparison and hope that Rhaenyra will kneel after Luke's death is many levels because it omits and erases the emotional and political contexts of both situations

A. The first thing that bothered me was the implication that Rhaenyra by choosing to fight is actively putting her children in danger (but not apparently Aegon 🙄).

B. Cat's daughters (daughter) were hostages who tried to use them as leverage to prevent Robb from moving forward. The whole point of getting Jaime and why so many bothered that they would release him It is because he was an ideal hostage precisely to force the return of the girls (Sansa) and good peace talks.

None of Rhaenyra's children are hostages, Rhaenyra could have done what she did later and kept her children out of the battle and close to her.If under that scenario she had lost, the normal thing in that society is that the eldest were sent to the wall and the youngest and most innocent were taken as 'wards' like Theon was or even locked up as the English kings historically did.

C. Freeing Jaime was an emotional response to the death of Bran and Rickon along with the loss of Winterfell, Sansa's marriage (with her possibly being raped), Robb in possible danger and the failure of alliances with the Baratheon brothers. That is why Cat acts at that moment when before Robb was winning the war and had a valuable hostage. This is what motivates Cat to decide that the war has to end NOW and she has to get her daughter back.

Rhaenyra is once again in the middle of raven conversations where it was essentially going to be a penis measuring "Look at my dragons and how many houses support me" that was the strategy of both sides while they sweetened the pot with other terms.

The real comparison on a political level is with Robb already having his army assembled BEFORE Nedd's beheading and on an emotional level to Rhaenyra when Corlys betrays her and Daemon and Joffrey die.

D. The implication that expecting Rhaenyra to act more like a mom and not like a politician was the right thing to do when the serious problem that women in power have had is precisely being labeled as emotional and this is already a criticism that Rhaenyra receives in and out of the universe really pisses me off.

E. I need someone to explain to me why the reaction of her son being murdered under what was essentially political immunity should cause her to submit to the mercy of those people. There is a reason why this is the cessation of peace talks and the beginning of hostilities

F. This sounds like Rhaenyra must have freaked out and bared her neck while handing over the knife herself. So I also need they to explain to me why kneeling would put her children in less danger by submitting to people who have already proven to be a threat.

G. Since the argument is apparently based on the fact that Rhaenyra must have felt intimidated by the danger her children faced because Vhagar is an unstoppable threat. and at this point I'm furious again I'm going to be petty and say that after B&C Alicent should give up and be scared, after all they are not safe inside their house and still their sons and granddaughters can die if they don't surrender!

H. I'd be more inclined to believe that Alicent isn't delusional and thinks Rhaenyra is stupid if the in-universe implication (even by others on the council) wasn't that her letters say: "ops on your dead son, bend the knee or we'll eat another one" because apparently no attempt has been made to smooth things over, more so because they have to be aware that after this THEY are the ones who have to make the repairs and the only thing they could do for peace is say "sorry for your son, here is the crown we stole from you, do you think you can forgive Aemond? Maybe send him to the wall instead of taking his head?"

Even if Aegon didn't make a banquet at the show Aemond has been promoted to best strategist without even a speech or display of censure after, once again, committing assassination of someone with essentially diplomatic immunity using the equivalent of a nuclear weapon

I. My last point is that I also want to know why people defend this line of thinking when, even if Rhaenyra doesn't know it, WE the audience know that the original plan was the murder of her and her family and Aegon and Otto lament how difficult things are because that didn't happen. Seeing that even Alicent admits that she has no power over Otto, Aegon and Aemond (because she never had it over her father and her children are getting out of hand) What exactly does that universe where Rhaenyra kneels look like?

ASoIaF fandom actually read the books and pick up on the blatant AND nuanced differences b/t several diff female characters challenge---FAILED.

Yeah, damned if you do, damned if you don't. Continuously moving the goalposts. No escape. So you co think that being less politically minded is how she should have been? (not that giving up her kids was politically beneficial, as you pointed out: unlike Cat's daughters who were already hostages, Rhaenrya's kids were all with her...Cat was more compelled to save her kids' lives with them not already by her side).

F. This sounds like Rhaenyra must have freaked out and bared her neck while handing over the knife herself. So I also need they to explain to me why kneeling would put her children in less danger by submitting to people who have already proven to be a threat.

It's exactly they want her to utterly give up. they hate how bk!Rhaenyra refused to assert herself--they already decided that her going against status quo of female behavior condemns her and her sons and/or they are fed up-cornered by how woefully inferior show!Alicent is as a mother, so they collapse the whole meshes of nuance for both situations that and go after Rhaenyra's motherhood with paltry and narrow-minded "critiques".

Mushy May Day 23: Falling asleep/ watching the other sleep

Rain comes to Swiss after getting high with Mountain. He promises not to fall asleep while they hang out but alas. Some super fluffy Rulti because I love them. Those two are incredibly goofy with one another and you cannot change my mind!

I need it to be known that an outline for this has been sitting in my ideas folder since like early March and I was super excited for an excuse to finally make myself turn it into something. This is also another one that I hope to revisit and bulk out later. Snippet of song at the end is from One & Only by Fortunate Youth. Once again the Rain Chill Vibes playlist is one that you can rip from my cold dead hands.

Swiss takes in the very high ghoul in front of him, already clambering to snuggle up next to him on his bed. He had been reading a book, but knows that the time for that is now apparently over and quickly marks his place before closing it.

“Now, I can’t help but notice you didn't even share, Raincloud” he teases, already shifting so that Rain can situate himself more comfortably. 

“Mmmm, wasn’t mine to share, babe. You’d have ta bother Mounty ‘bout that.” Rain mumbles as he crawls into Swiss’ lap, accidentally knocking the book out of his hand as he goes. “So whatta you up to?”

“Well I was gonna try to get some reading done, but then a ravishing water ghoul appeared. I guess it’s best that I stop that silly plan and talk to him instead, huh?” 

“Hmmm, wise plan. This water fella’ sounds super handsome, I would hate for him to have to go talk to somebody else.” 

Rain shoots him a playful look, his smile a little overly wide before breaking out into a fit of giggles. Swiss leans over to give him a quick peck on the nose before turning to grab his phone from the nightstand beside him. 

“The playlist I had going was one of the ones you made for me but it’s kinda slow and chill. Let me change it to something a little less sleepy.” Swiss explains, following the small discontent huff Rain had let out at all the wiggling he was doing. 

“No it’s fine, I was enjoying it. Leave it on?” Rain asks gently. Swiss shoots him a quick knowing look. Both of them are well aware of how sleepy Rain gets when he is high in general, and clearly the multi ghoul does not believe for a second that Rain won’t immediately nod off with the music still playing. 

“‘M not gonna fall asleep” Rain lazily asserts, but only gets a singular raised eyebrow in response. 

“Swisstopher K Ghoul, do you doubt my word? Here, I pinky promise!” Rain challenges in fake outrage, face scrunching up in an adorable way that Swiss can't resist. He holds up his pinky and wiggles it at Swiss to prove he means it. 

Swiss hooks their pinkies together then pulls Rain's hand up towards his face. “This sounds serious, I better seal that promise with a kiss” he remarks before kissing both their entwined fingers and the back of Rain’s hand. Rain pouts up at him after taking his hand back, so Swiss gives him one more in between his horns. 

A grand total of 10 minutes passes before Rain’s responses to what Swiss is saying stop making sense as he predictably starts to fall asleep. Swiss knows that if he were to challenge the water ghoul on this, he would blame it on how nicely Swiss is playing with his hair, the comfort of his bed, and his own excellent taste in pleasant music. 

Eventually Rain stops responding completely, letting out a barely audible noise that is either a snore or a gentle purr, Swiss can’t tell. Either way, he continues to play with Rain’s hair as he looks down fondly at him sleeping. 

The water ghoul is smiling even in his sleep, and Swiss is completely entranced by him. He listens to Rain’s soft noises and the music playing from the speaker across the room. 

You know when I sleep at night/ With you, right by my side I'm fine/ Hoping to be forever/ You and Me

The sentiment expressed in the music could not more perfectly encompass the current moment. Swiss thinks he may just have to finally admit that there is something nice about the hypnotically chill playlists Rain makes, even if it’ll inflate the ghouls ego. 

“I’m so happy I get to call you mine, Rainbow” he whispers against the water ghouls hair. Rain snuggles closer in his sleep at the words and for Swiss that's more than enough confirmation that the feeling is mutual.

first of all I love long answers, so no apologies in fact I'll apologize because I plan to ramble on.

I also love the movie but I have so many problems with how little we were given of the Plinth family, that they didn't fully exploit Marcus and Sejanus relationship and the sandwich scene (no ironically I have so much to say about that I may do another post explaining in depth why I hate how they executed that scene) so I feel you buddy

Yes I also think it was a bit of an unnecessary change in that regard, I'm not complaining at all about a scene of Coriolanus crying while looking at a picture of him and Sejanus together, it's cute to see him that pathetic crying and my heart was broken bc we could see again that Coriolanus means the world to Sejanus and yet that happen, but still I think it's more interesting, dramatic and hilarious to witness Coriolanus frustration at seeing that there's a picture of Marcus, of all the people.

Is someone else and NOT HIM, THE ONE THAT INSPIRE SEJANUS. Like as a snowjanus fan Im more into that shit of Coryo in denial screaming and thwroing bc ITS NOT HIM. But thats probably only me /j

You summarized very well many of the aspects in Marcus and Sejanus relationship that drive me crazy. I also belive they had such an unique relationship in the saga, Im so angry bc the movie dont fucking explore them in depth.

AND I AGREED WITH EVERY WORD YOU SAID ABOUT SEJANUS, THAT MOMENT OF KIDNESS IN THE END IT DEFINED HIS CORE, YEARS LATER HE MADE THE CONSCIOUS DECISION TO BE GUIDED BY THE ONE MOMENT WHEN A STRANGER OFFERED HIM HELP AND COMFORT OUT OF COMMUNITY AND EMPATHY.

Yeah it's obvious that much of his character is ultimately shaped by his mother, but he makes a very conscious decision to live by that interaction, to decide that if no one else is willing to make that selfless gesture, he'll be the one to take care of it. Even if the world tells him he's crazy and wrong for going in that direction.

About Marcus I agree that he probably thought that and it makes me so sad because I can't help but wonder what it was like for him, again I know in the book they mention they were more classmates than friends but I don't know, childhood in itself seems to me a stage where you tend to connect deeply with others as you are not yet fully aware of the barriers, and while I can see some classmates already having reservations towards Sejanus because of what Strabo had done and what their parents told lf Plinth family, it seems to me it shows that Marcus was not one of those kids.

So I like to think he thought in his own way about Sejanus. About how nice he was despite the nasty reputation that was forming of his family until finally Sejanus moves in and people tell Marcus that the Plinth's are traitors and other terrible things.

How to reconcile that image with that of the scared little boy he helped and thanked him deeply for it? I think it takes years (and the games ultimately help deepen the rift because Sejanus is safe and they in the district aren't) for him to come to that conclusion.

Then Marcus is reaping and it must have been painful and horrible to see Sejanus standing behind a fence, in an expensive and extravagant uniform, trying to offer him a very hearty sandwich. We know it is a gesture of help and comes from a place of compassion but god I can also see how it is at the same time a kind of cruel mockery.

Because Marcus is going to die and he doesn't need a sandwich, or an apology, he needs to be taken out of there, he needs to do not be killed and forced to kill others. So it makes sense his resentfulness will grow, also the image of Sejanus in his memory as his classmate who did wear a nice suit more expensive than others yes but still was from district 2, still live and suffer the war with them, was destroyed, now he can only think of this Sejanus totally capitol from his eyes, a fucking traitor in a red like blood uniform.

Marcus must have been totally hopeless... We know the people in the capitol saw him as a possible winner but I don't think this was his vision. Like the rest he was a scared kid, probably resigned to his death.

He could not give in to ask for Sejanus' help, to take his hand because what would that mean? That he too would become a traitor, that he was not loyal enough to his family and community? He did not want to die with that weight on his conscience and also facing Sejanus sounds anything but helpful.

He doesn't even know from the sandwich act if Sejanus is the same. He already looks different. What if he turned into one of those whimsical, conceited children? Will he be able to stand talking to him? And what could Plinth do for him? Give him a better weapon? Give him a fucking cake?

There was no point in saying anything. Nor to do it.

I believe the bombing and when he sees a way out is the only time Marcus regains hope and we know what happens to him because of that...

yessss!!! in the movie, I have the feeling that excluding so much of the plinths didn't really show the impact of how fucked up it was what coriolanus did by the end. he stole a boy's whole life. he knew his parents, he knew his mother, and still, he got him killed and stole his life anyway. it's so disturbing when you stop to think about it, but since we don't really see much from the plinths in the movie, I feel like it weights much less than it should (ALSO, YES, THE SANDWICH SCENE WAS A CRIME, it was really poorly executed and another point where it seems to make coryo better imo)

it's so funny to me that scene in the book bc coriolanus says with all his chest that it shows "where sejanus' loyalty laid with". bro really came to the conclusion JUST NOW that maybe, and just maybe, he isn't the center of the world and neither is the capitol 😭 while reading I though of him turning to the camera like a the office episode plssssss (and I absolutely AGREE HELPP, coriolanus screaming crying throwing up because sejanus has a pic of MARCUS, of ALL PEOPLE)

the movie had so much potential to explore their relationship in a more visual way. I absolutely understand why storytelling-wise they would rather to explore of sejanus and coriolanus' relationship.... but marcus and sejanus are so important and interesting and UGHHHHH (and plus, they remind me so much of katniss and peeta, I've seen some parallels that DRIVE ME INSANE and I would actually kill for a 4 hour cut with scenes of them together)

AND YESSSS!!! everything regarding the districts in tbosas, everytime we see something about their lifestyle, is about community. marcus and sejanus were not even friends in his words, they were classmates, and marcus went and helped a child that was probably left out and despised by most of his classmates, and he didn't want anything in return (another thing that drives me insane is how coriolanus is quite the reverse of this; he helped sejanus out of interest, pure interest, and how this is pure capitol, while marcus is pure district).

at that point of the rebellion, the plinths were probably so despised at D2, because the way sejanus cherishes that memory is just so important to me. it's the kind of thing you'd probably forget, but he remembered marcus' name, he kept his pic and everything, and he probably talked about it at home enough for his father to know about marcus and. yk. do what he did at the games to "teach sejanus a lesson". marcus' kindness was THAT remarkable. another thing that I think abt 24/7: what was marcus thinking all this time? we never even see him talking. what were his thoughts? I would actually pay suzanne collins just to KNOW.

during the zoo scene, I felt physical pain because I could only think about how OFFENDED marcus probably felt. because, in his place, I at least would feel extremely offended. because let me get this straight: after your father betrays our district, you leave for this fancy town, with fancy clothing, and now I'm about to die, and then you come here offering me a sandwich? (also, this sets another interesting thing about marcus, he's so proud, and I'm just mentioning it bc it seems like a common trait between people from D2 in the future) and plus, he probably saw coriolanus going to talk to lucy gray for the first time at the train. okay that coriolanus' intentions weren't pure, but how marcus felt that sejanus actually KNEW HIM and didn't go to see him, but this boy who never met this girl actually went to the train station? and then his first interaction with sejanus is him offering him food as if he's an animal?

one thing I read once, and I really can't recall from where, was an interpretation that marcus never even spoke to sejanus (not even to curse him or tell him to fuck off) because it was much better to die with the little boy he knew still on his mind, kind and gentle, than to talk to the boy he doesn't know and discover how he actually changed into something marcus despised.

I also do think marcus was resigned to his death. the way he doesn't even try says a lot, even though everyone agreed that he was the tribute with the most chances. D2 is big, it's not like D12, which is smaller. what would it mean for marcus to return after accepting help from a plinth? what would it mean for him to return after 23 another children getting killed just so he could get out alive?

also, in some form, I think marcus and sejanus' dynamic as tribute and mentor as some sort of anti-lucy gray and coriolanus. they're the reverse of each other.

it's so tragic, really, that he had hope for the first time just to end tragically like that. now, I'm going to punch a wall and cry for at least two days in a corner, because marcus is genuinely one of the most interesting tributes and he didn't even got to fight in the games to be this interesting.

(suzanne collins really went HARD on creating characters this time, not that in thg she didn't, but how is almost every character in tbosas is special and iconic to me?)

Writing update

I haven't done these in a while! Mostly because I haven't written much past couple of years. Well I have written, but mostly disconnected scenes, not actually any of the wips. I haven't had much time and I got a pretty bad burnout from uni which I'm still recovering from. I need to like properly get into the story and in my case that means getting a brain rot and obsessing over the story non-stop to be able to write it. But when I have important uni work to do, I can't get too obsessed or I will neglect them. That's why I've been writing disconnected scenes. Then I'm obsessing over one scene and the obsession will pass after I've gotten it off my system and written it. That doesn't derail my obligations too bad.

After I was able to recover a bit during the summer break, I got back into writing Bear Castle Chronicles. I'm more capable of handling more things, but I have one fear of the brain rot getting out of hand and overtaking too much of my time and energy :'D

I've said before that after I took a break from BCC, I decided to change a lot of things and restart it for the millionth time. A major shift is that it now has a narrator, the Bear. It's the titular bear of the Bear Castle, the guardian spirit of the main sibling's clan. It can see the minds of the clan members and through that it tells the chronicles (addressing itself in third person) and also literally in-world curates the in-world text that is the Bear Castle Chronicles by possessing the Chronicler (but that comes into play mostly in the later books). I'm now writing it in English too. I'm not far in this version, I've written (almost) the prologue and I'm two chapters into Valeri's storyline, which is a total of slightly over 10K words.

Not sure if I'll attempt nano this year. I would not aim to win and not follow the rules like usually. But if I will I would probably continue writing BCC. I'll see if I'm doing okay with uni work when it comes around.

Here's a little excerpt from Valeri's first chapter!

Pain shot through his body. He gasped for air until he was kicked in the stomach again. Blood dripped from his mouth to the sand. His head was spinning. Everything around him faded, except his opponent. In his mind there was only image of his brother. He had to gather his strength. He had to get up. When the other leg left the ground, grimacing he leaned on his hands and kicked the leg still on the ground. The lieutenant lost his balance falling backwards. Valeri acted quickly. He kicked sand to the lieutenant’s face and used the confusion to get on top of him and hit him in the face with all the strength he had left. The lieutenant tried to wrestle him. Valeri hit him again. And again. And again until his face was cover in blood. Only the revolting sound of fist against flesh rang in his ears. Finally, when the lieutenant raised his hands in surrender, Valeri snapped back to reality. Panting and spitting blood, Valeri stumbled to the sand from the top of the man. There was a roaring applause from the Virénian side of the audience. He felt sick. Not only because of the pain in his stomach. For a moment he had felt like he was fighting for his life. He had almost killed that man. He was shaking, when he slowly got up to his feet. He offered his hand to the Angusian lieutenant, who had managed to sit up. For a moment the lieutenant hesitated. Then he took his arm and Valeri pulled him up as his comrades rushed to assist him. He knew. He had felt that Valeri had fought to kill. People gathered around Valeri. He didn’t see them, didn’t hear them. The touches of the faceless hands made him flinch. He wanted out, away. The Bear felt his mind fade. It watched as he stood motionless, face bloodied and stern, while the people around him joked and congratulated. No one noticed his distress. He moved passed them to his clothing and hung them on, unaware of himself. The Bear could only observe. Something human stirred in it. This child shouldn’t have been here. Someday he would find his way back home.

Finally decided to do a TVD rewatch now that the 'verse is complete. Since I know how everything ends I thought it would be interesting to see how I react with that knowledge. Curious if my feelings might change about characters, ships, storylines etc. (obviously I am fully aware there's going some bias).

Adding my thoughts after I complete the half-way mark of each season (there is simply too many episodes to do a recap of each one). I am talking to the void mostly here but feel free to leave comments, thoughts on my posts for those who still follow me or just find this post. S1 Episodes 1-11

I am loving the dark atmosphere of the first season, feeling so much nostalgia! Nice to go back in time to when vampires were scary on this show. That's not really criticism because every supernatural show goes through this. The big bad must always be upped as it goes on but it was nice when the stakes were lower and the mythos was being developed.

Damon makes me feel so uncomfortable so far... I know he was the 'villian' for most of the beginning of the season but his treatment of Vicki and Caroline is just so predatory and gross. Which brings me to...

WHY HAS NO ONE GIVEN CAROLINE A GOD DAMN VERVAIN NECKLACE ALREADY!!! Stefan and Elena both know Damon was using her (and they know damn well he hasn't stopped). Her Mom has the vervain to give her and just has not for no reason!! GET AWAY FROM HER ALREADY! I got so mad when Damon was compelling her AGAIN in the 10th episode. I'm so glad she outlives them all, justice for my baby!

I'm sorry but Stefan is so creepy and self-righteous in the beginning, I remembered this but did not remember how bad it was. Also he did not need to kill Vicki, that pissed me off. I don't think it did as much when I first watch this (mind you that was literally 14+ years ago) but just knowing how freely everyone neck-snaps around here it was bullshit. His one cool moment remains when he told Logan he can't walk in the sun. The manipulative way he used Elena’s adoption to get her to forgive him had me rolling my eyes (then of course she used it against Jenna to get out of trouble lol).

I can't remember who the other vampire is who turned Logan, I'm thinking its Pearl's henchman but yeah I don't remember that part. I also didn't remember the crystal so I like that some of this is like a 'mystery' again.

I did remember that I thought Tyler was such a dick in the first season and yeah confirmed. Though now I remembered his Dad was an abusive piece of shit. Still, fuck Tyler for now.

Alaric looks so different I don't hate him (yet).

The progression of Bonnie realizing her powers has been well done, again nice to just see the simple magic again. (Stefan totally wanted to bang Sheila back in the day... maybe they did)

Jeremy just met Anna and I still love them, I wish they got more time. They were the only 'ship I like in this season when it first aired.

The Bonnie, Elena and Caroline friendship is nice but I am annoyed they haven't done more to protect Caro from Damon. Especially when she doesn't know what's going on and they do (though Bonnie only just got all the deets). This might be magnified by my love of Caroline I admit but I hate the prop-y way she's being used so far.

I kinda rolled my eyes at the whole Katherine/Damon/Stefan stuff before Elena knew they were vamps because OMG Stefan is 17(!!!) Does no one thinks it's weird he's like "it was a long time ago" A LONG TIME AGO LIKE WHEN YOU WERE 12?! They should have made him at least 20, just bothers me.

I liked that not every vampire had a daylight ring and it was more of a novelty. That is something that could have stuck more in the later seasons.

Lines that made me laugh:

Caroline: Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today. It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines. (Bonnie offers to help her) I guess we can put her in the back. (all right in front of Elena lmao oh Caroline never change)

Caroline: So, Elena...how long do you think this fight with Stefan's gonna last? Is it...like a permanent thing? (eyes on the prize baby! lol)

Stefan: (imitating Damon) Now that the secret society of vampire haters is off our back, I can go back to my routine of how can I destroy Stefan’s life this week. (never gets old!)

Damon: *shoots Logan with wooden bullets* Payback's a bitch, isn't it? (all in the delivery here lmao kudos to Ian)

「Huaiyan & Jing Yuan」 (2.4 spoilers below)

Going by this it's pretty safe to suspect that albeit from afar, Huaiyan was somewhat Jing Yuan's mentor when it came to the matter of Generalship. Unless proven otherwise later, I'm going to headcanon that while settling into his new position Jing Yuan frequently turned to Huaiyan for council due to his experience and his patient hand. It certainly also helped him feel more at ease that Huaiyan had been Yingxing's mentor in craftsmanship as well.

Huaiyan saying here that he has done well despite the heavy burden means so much to Jing Yuan.

And they are totally foreshadowing Jing Yuan's eventual downfall with the 'mistakes catching up to you' thing I feel it in my jellies. I'm pretty sure it won't happen in these updates as it's a small one but still. He's so very wise now, but to become wise one must make a lot of mistakes.

This also means the world to Jing Yuan. It is finally a bit of validation and appreciation for all that he has sacrificed in the name of the Alliance. It means so much to him that Huaiyan believes in him despite the speculation that Jing Yuan had traitorous intent. Speculation that went so far as causing the Alliance to call Fu Xuan in for questioning as well. (Side note, again would really like to know more/meet this Marshal because I find it interesting that she still believed in Jing Yuan despite not knowing him personally it seems).

While he would never dare utter it aloud to only a select few there have been times where he's just wanted to scream at the sky "Haven't I given enough already!?"

The Alliance will easily decorate him with medals of honor for achievements, but free the reincarnation of his dear friend who has been in the Shackling Prison sinch hatching? He had to fight tooth and nail for it. He gets mortally wounded in a fight protecting the Luofu? He's getting letters to hurry up and return to his role even though Fu Xuan was doing a fine job of holding down the fort. And then he's accused of at worst malicious intent due to the Disciples issue not being noticed and the Stelleron conflict and at best neglecting his duties.

Jing Yuan doesn't say anything after Huaiyan states he believes Jing Yuan's loyalty has never wavered. The camera is on him for a long moment, yet he says nothing. It's Dan Heng who breaks the silence.

Jing Yuan's loyalty to the Xianzhou Alliance HAS wavered before. Not to a point of malicious intent, he'd never hurt people over it but he has struggled with quitting at times. The Dan Feng and Dan Heng situation especially made him doubt the society he had grown up in and loved. It was one of the ugliest sides of the Xianzhou government he'd ever had the misfortune of seeing. At most, he debated trying to break Dan Feng or Dan Heng out by force a few times, but mostly he debated on resigning.

But despite all the issues he has he still loves the people of the Xianzhou. Normal people just trying to live their lives in peace. Finding magic in the smallest things. That... was too sacred for him to not want to help protect. And at least while in the position of Arbiter-General he could have some hopes of slowly changing things from the inside out.

i really really hated season 2 and specifically the season 2 finale for OFMD

the first few episodes were great. we got to see how ed was fully affected by stede's 'rejection' and how he was acting like a complete and total asshole and terrible person over it. very very cool i loved that, and i enjoyed the. izzy hands torture a bit more than a normal person would. seeing stede also grapple with his love for ed and his obliviousness juxtaposed with eds anger and angst was. phenomenal. i liked the pirate queen, cool new character. i did however not like how they offhandedly mentioned ivans death. I'm not sure if the actor dropped, but even then, he wasn't a big part of season 1, so why was he even. Written in the first place. on another note i do think some of the pairings made clear in the first 3 episodes with jim and. other cool pirate person was silly ig but also we. knew nothing about them??? there was no arc they were just introduced as a character, no defining traits just awesome pirate person and they expected us to be like. oh okay so they're together now and jim and olu's whole relationship which was built throughout all of season 1 is completely gone just cause we introduced new people and we wanna spice it up a bit. um lesbian murder couple was awesome. i do think the whole turning into a bird thing was a cool metaphor i DO think the rent free line was kind of crazy and just pure fan service. like i understand that its just a goofy pirate show but. come on they just stole that from the internet and snuck it in so we would be squealing about it. also! the red coat was just snuck in there for like one episode and it. did nothing. like it was just for one day. ig stede became more piraty after that but. nothing was cursed. they could have done so much more with it and it was kind of just placed down and then never touched on ever again. also there's the. ed apology that sucks which everyone is fine with even though he doesn't say I'm sorry? at all? and everyone is okay with him now? like. okay. i did LOVE the parallels between the you wear fine things well scenes. i also liked the boundaries set between them.

episode 6 and 7. everything goes to complete shit here. i liked ned lowe i think he was an awesome character i feel like it was the worst decision ever to just kill him off. i think the party scene is strange because ed is like. something is wrong and then he just goes along with everything and its never elaborated on ever again. the singing part is nice but. like the izzy arc feels so rushed considering how like 3 episodes ago bro was fully going through it. i do like him getting more integrated into the family though that's nice. stede killing someone was awesome. i do like the implication that ed is slowly backing away from his pirate life while his partner goes deeper into it, the juxtaposition between their morals in season 1 and this season are pretty cool. I DID NOT HOWEVER like how stede is just horny after his kill and they have sex even though! ed established boundaries. it feels super ooc for stede even if he's going through his "villain arc" or whatever he still wouldn't. do that and i don't like how its done just to show how stede has changed and is a bad person now when this is just stede acting out of character just so people know he's fucked up for killing someone and becoming more pirate like. i don't think his morals and affections towards ed can change that fast. i do think they could have done something with how izzy reacted to stede and eds relationship because. like there is no arc with that. he's completely in love with ed one day and the next he's totally fine with them fucking and dating like. what even was that confession then when it did basically nothing but just provide fan service. also later on when izzy just sits stede down and talks about ed is so. strange because sure izzy was super fucking traumatized after everything and shit but like. i don't think his character changed that much considering the fact that a few episodes prior he was still shitting on stede. like. it feels rushed just for the sake of having a heart to heart with stede and izzy. the explosion also feels rushed considering how we only saw zheng in like 3 episodes. and like how there was basically no set up for it. i feel like. there's a pattern with shit being rushed just to be rushed. like explosion in the same episode where stede completely becomes a brand new person in like 2 hours, ed leaves and izzy suddenly cares about stede. its kind of very obvious that they didn't get as many episodes as they wanted but i don't think that justifies the shit writing.

now the season finale SUCKED. so ed comes back after like 2 seconds and they reunite like they didn't just have a massive argument. everyone escapes somehow and then its like. they dress up in costumes come up with a half assed plan and go into battle. and then fucking izzy gets shot and its. not even like. a scene where he's just getting shot its masked behind things so its super confusing if he got shot or not and then he just. dies. no fanfare he just dies and its super quick and unexpected and it feels like it was just done so that he could. yk have a semi redemption (even though no bonding other than the. boat drag celebration and the hoof gifting was shown on screen at all) where everyone loved him even after he was a pos for like all of season 1. he dies randomly not even in an epic battle he just gets fucking shot. and I've seen a lot of people compare this episode to the season finale of good omens season 2 and they are so fucking wrong for that because. there's so much set up with good omens season 2. like we all knew it was coming. of course someday aziraphale was going to leave. he was never as keen as crowley on saying fuck you to heaven and hell. and its so wonderfully set up because all of season 1 and 2 set up their. relationship dynamics. how they felt about their bosses and higherups. and it SUCKED because all of us were expecting it but it still hit hard as fuck because. it makes so much sense. there's no way around it. and instead in the season finale of ofmd season 2 they just kill off izzy just to make us feel bad and because he has no purpose anymore? he feels like a throwaway character when his character had just fully come to light. there's also the thing about his leg being used as his gravestone which i have heard was kind of insensitive because it was a part of his body prosthetic or not? and then right after he dies everyone is super duper happy and joyous like an insanely important character didn't just die and then they have the wedding and it feels horrible because you're reeling from a very important character death which wasn't neccisary and completely unexpected and confusing to a wedding and having ed and stede end up living together in a small island running an inn? and its like. how do you expect me to be happy when two seconds ago you just killed off a character completely rushed their death completely rushed another characters wedding and made a happy ending happen just because you were scared of season 3 not happening? like i would have rathered a more well thought out episode which ended on a cliffhanger than whatever rushed mess of garbage this was. this finale genuinely has made me not want a season 3 because. there's nothing left for me. the villain of the story is this stupid rich guy who hates pirates (wow no way) who has no flavour and is just annoying. the character who had a whole entire character arc who definitely was killed off for shock value is dead and the otp of the show is together forever.
