Akatsuki! Sakura au  🌸  Randomly got inspired one day with this thought while I was out with my mom and I just had to draw it. Didn't rush it though and only worked on this during my free time. This is also my second attempt bc I just wasn't vibing with the first one. It bothered me for 2 days until I finally gave in and re-drew it.

I don't like recording myself and I still haven't figured out timelapses so I just saved each stage separately and put them in one video ☝️ ☝️ *cough* Lineart stage is still my favorite.

This was originally supposed to stay as grayscale, except for the eyes, but I decided to overlay it with color in the end.

I have not gotten super far but it’s my Naruto au that follows cyberpunk aesthetic ( not the game. I’ve never played it.)

I have original characters I made for this au as well because I love injecting ocs in things and had the idea of ‘ok so what if someone just had a gun in Naruto’ and ran with it.

How delightful me and my penpal from shisuiland.... well first off from my liking of izuna you'll have understood my liking of characters who die for nothing! one point in his favor. another point for having his eyes survive him for a while. I've talked abt him briefly here but long story short i like him for being misguided! i also like that kagami is alluded to being his grandpa, first off another dead uchiha but I like how this automatically presents him as 'one of the good ones' and on the side of konoh. kishimoto's presentation of genetics in naruto is obviously horrendous but it's interesting to think abt from an outside perspective. I think it's fun to have a cheerful uchiha as well lol. As for the fics it's hard to say I've been in such an early konoha kick lately... i remember one where he was literally posessing a sword. that was good. sowwy :(

au in which sakura joins the akatsuki works well if she’s undercover. tsunade decides they need to infiltrate the akatsuki and the best way to do that is by sending sakura. she’s not the most experienced but tsunade surmises they can’t send jounin anyway because it’s an infiltration mission and to gain the trust, the best person has to be a clanless shinobi with resentment. with appropriate measures (staging a big fight between sakura and naruto, her public dismissal from shinobi service etc.,) sakura finally manages to enter the akatsuki.

and then she meets itachi and how she loathes him. sasuke’s pain is her pain and it gets worse when she becomes the healer and discover the state of itachi’s eyes. she’s torn up inside but manages to hold on until she comes across sasuke again. sasuke who joins the akatsuki and gets the shock of his life. also they partner up in a two man cell and realize the tension they always had but never resolved.

anyway my two cents on ruthless-akatsuki!sakura and surprised-angry-intimidated-yet-infatuated!sasuke.
