How to FIX CUSTOM EYELASHES after update 1.108.349.1020 The Sims 4

YOU NEED:

Sims 4 Studio @sims4studioofficial

Blender (I use Blender 2.79)

Instruction manual:

Opening the eyelashes that need to be repaired in Sims 4 Studio

2. Go to the "Categories" section - Item "Outfit Type" - "Eyelashes"

3. Click "Apply to All Swatches" - Click "Yes"

4. Now we need to assign the correct color to the Vertex in Blender. Go to the "Mesh" category and export the eyelash mesh

5. Open the Mesh in Blender and switch to the "Vertex Paint" mode

6. Select the display mode "Wireframe" or press the "Z" key

7. If the eyelashes are broken, they will have the wrong color. Now we need to assign the correct color

8. Click on the palette icon

9. Go to the HEX item and enter the color code. Color Number: 007F3F

10. After you entered the color code. Click "Paint" - "Set Vertex Color"

11. After that, the color of the eyelashes will change. Save the file and close the Blender

12. Go back to SIms 4 Studio and import the mesh

13. Saving the package file

14. Checking the result in the game

Quali-Tea

The recipe note pad states that for batch teas to multiple ingredients by 5, and the pots were only using 1 water bucket. This was actually intended behavior to make 5 cups of certain teas with 1 bucket per batch. The note pad recipes have been updated to reflect that water remains one a 1 bucket needed basis and other the proper amount of other ingredients needed for batch making.

Dalish Tea Pot had some brewing errors as well as dialog errors. Should now be able to properly brew elfroot singles/batches and royal elfroot singles/batches.

A bug report was submitted about the Drying Tea Life pile reverting back to Fresh status if placed in inventory. This is not a bug, and is intended behavior.

Graverobber's MP3 Player Default Edit + Color Traits Support

This MP3 player default by Graverobber is one of the best ones available. I made some edits to it for my own game and thought I'd share.

The first thing I changed was texture size - it was lowered from 512x512 to 128x128 (trust me, you won't see a difference since it's so tiny). The original mp3 came with a big number of recolors. I only picked 12 of them to resize (from CuriousB's palette, already made by Graverobber) and to make them work with @episims color traits mod (be sure to get it if you want colors to be randomized upon purchase at the kiosk). But if you are not using it, there is a separated version with these 12 colors (keep either this one or traits support version!). Note that all others recolors originally made by Graverobber work perfectly fine, they are just bigger in size.

I also changed the default screen texture - the original was a bit too dull and had English text on it. Now it has lit up effect, animates longer and uses new textures with simlish "bands". All the textures for them were created by @gulioss-sims (these) @deedee-sims (these) and @fake-sims (these).

@episims was super kind to make the color traits coding which definitely makes this edit a million times better. Thank you Epi!

Instead of the usual Inventory Check, this mod requires Trait Globals mod by @picknmixsims to work properly so be sure to get it! With this method, if your sim has several favourite colors, the 1st one in the line will be picked for your mp3. If you want to change the picked color, just sort out your inventory manually and put the desired color first. Note that after buying, in the inventory the mp3 will appear black in the icon but will switch to the correct color when a sim uses it. If the mp3 is moved out of the inventory, it'll be in the default color (black). Traits version works well with catalog buyable mp3 mods (again, the color will update when used).

To prevent an annoying bug in maxis coding ("stealing" of your sim's mp3 by another household member), I highly recommend using this mp3 fix mod by Simler90.

He wasn’t sure what initially caught his attention. Was it your eager smile as you waved your lightstick around? Was it the way you hopped, your hair sticking up at odd angles as you cheered them on? Or maybe it was your eyes, curved and happy whenever his own gaze drifted your way.

Really, none of these things were unique to you. You weren’t doing anything special, weren’t holding any sign or trying to throw anything on stage. You followed the concert dress code too, even if it was obviously put together a little haphazardly. No, you were just jumping to the music and happily singing along. That was all. Nothing more, nothing less.

And yet Jake found himself seeking you out at every concert. From the first day you were there, to the next day, and on to the next city, and then the next. He wasn’t sure why, especially since every angle pointed to you being a sasaeng with how consistently you got close to the barrier. You had to be spending so much money on them, so much time, to do so after all. And yet he still sought you out as he sung Polaroid Love, still grinned like a maniac when he saw you screaming their fan chant.

If you were a sasaeng, he decided, it was strange he’d never seen you before. It was equally strange how you didn’t seem to behave like one. You didn’t look for their attention, didn’t primp and preen yourself or check your mirror during lulls in the performance, didn’t take out your industrial camera to film for a little fansite or something…

You just enjoyed the music.

Around the fifth day of touring, Jake got curious. Really curious. Who exactly were you? And how could he find such a thing out? It’s not like there was a seat for him to find, considering it was general admission. So instead, late one night when he was supposed to be sleeping for the next concert, he was scrolling away on social media.

Sunghoon snored on the other bed, and Jake tried his best to ignore it as he scrolled through every post under their tour’s hashtag.

No, no, no, no, no, no…

Did you even post anything? Honestly, he wouldn’t be surprised with how little you seemed to bring your phone out during sets. It was something he appreciated in the moment, loving that you cared about just experiencing the music and performance without worrying about posting or something, but now he was a little frustrated.

He wanted to put a name to the face!

When the sun began to filter through the window and Jake’s eyes grew sore, he forced his phone from his face and passed out instantly.

He’s pretty sure he only got through that night’s concert because of his excitement at seeing you again.

The eighth concert rolled around and Jake was beginning to think he’d never know who it was who captured his attention, who became his muse on stage and pulled such energy from him. You didn’t post, you didn’t seem to talk to anyone who did post, and he didn’t have a ticket or a seat number to go off of. But then he got a lead.

The tour manager, a new manager they’d gotten from partnering with a brand new touring agency, left his phone out as he looked over some papers. It was pre-soundcheck, all of them milling about waiting to go on stage to run things over, and then Jake saw it. Your face smiling back at him from his lock screen.

“Huh?” Jake almost choked on his spit as he rushed over to make sure. Yeah, it was you alright. Same sunny smile and bright eyes. “Who’s that?” He managed, gaze darting expectantly to the manager.

He looked up from his papers, confused for a moment, before a fond smile appeared. “Oh, that’s my daughter. She’s a fan of yours, actually. I don’t know if you’ve noticed-“

“I’ve seen her out in the crowd a few times!” Jake blurted happily, joy rushing over him at the thought of finally learning more. “Has she been traveling with you?”

“You saw her? I’m surprised you remembered, you must be good with faces.” Your father’s eyebrows lifted in light surprise. But as always, he was all too happy to talk about his only daughter. “Yeah, she’s been with me this whole tour since she’s on break from college. The staff know her and usually let her in a bit early to get front row. She’s actually been helping give me feedback for the tour moving forward, like what type of lighting gets the best response and stuff.”

Jake bobbed his head, everything clicking into place. You didn’t act like a sasaeng because you weren’t one. You were the daughter of a music tour manager, no wonder you didn’t care to film as much, especially since your father must have access to tons of footage for advertisements. It felt validating, somehow, to have picked you out of a crowd of all people to be infatuated with. “Oh yeah? What’s her name?”

At the very next concert, Jake prowled around backstage where he probably shouldn’t be. He peeked out of the curtains, drifted around and picked his head into the hallways leading towards the main concert hall, watched staff members like a hawk… he wanted to see if he could catch sight of you then, to see you in an environment outside of the booming music and flashing lights. He just had to.

To his surprise and utter elation, his snooping paid off. A few minutes before he had to run back to get final touches on hair done, he saw you. You were chatting happily with one of the camera operators, light stick hanging loosely from your wrist. To see you so calm, so put together in stark contrast to how excitable you were when they- he- performed was like a dream come true. You just looked so friendly, so approachable… Jake might have even went out to say hello finally and meet the person who’d been infecting his thoughts so severely if not for his name being shouted impatiently.

Jungwon had chewed him out for that one.

But that didn’t matter much to him, because for the next few hours he was back in your presence and performing for you. He tried not to show favoritism, to move around to other sections of the stage, but like a magnet he just kept getting pulled right back to you. To grinning at you, to singing to you, to appraising and enjoying your beautiful smile.

And every time he appeared, you smiled even wider, waving so eagerly Jake thought his heart could burst.

The concerts went on. New city, new faces, but you remained. Engenes praised Jake online, saying just how excited and happy he seemed to be on stage, without knowing that most of it was due to his lucky charm in the crowd.

And you didn’t even know it! How crazy was that? He was just too shy, too fidgety and nervous at the idea of actually meeting you. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Here he was acting like the fan… but Jake didn’t mind. You made him happy even without knowing it, ate up his thoughts, made something inside him latch onto your presence and not let go.

Jake was a clingy, friendly guy, but this was a whole new level. He found he didn’t mind it too much.

But then the end of the tour loomed over them, and a crushing sort of fear hit Jake like a ton of bricks. He’d have to wait until this next tour to see you again, wouldn’t he? And what if the tour fell when you were at college? And what if they didn’t use the same tour company? And what if, and what if, and-

“Would your daughter like to meet us? I mean, before this all ends and stuff.” The words spilled out one day, earning a disbelieving look from the manager and even more so from some of the members. Jake didn’t even blush or cower away, too nervous and hopeful.

“He has a daughter?

“Oh, you really don’t have to-“

“Is she an engene?”

“You’ve been such an awesome manager, so of course! Besides, it’s always an honor meeting engene.” In a flurry of voices Jake hardly registered, it was set. About thirty minutes before the concert, you would be meeting them.

He would be meeting you.

He’d never felt so giddy, so anxious, in his entire life. Not even during I-Land, a fact that should have probably alarmed him to the fact that his little obsession had gone a bit too far.

But Jake didn’t really have it in him to care, and so he practically vibrated with excitement as you cautiously peeked your head into the room.

So cute.

You stepped out fully, and Jake barely remembered to do the group greeting. You seemed nervous, a little skittish and so different from how you acted in the crowd, but it was sweet and Jake found himself smiling stupidly. “Don’t be nervous, we don’t bite!” He joked. You cast him a glance, and he half expected you to stammer and get even more nervous, but if anything you relaxed more. Jake was pretty pleased his words soothed you.

“Hi, I’m Jake.” He held out his hand and immediately felt a bit dumb. Handshaking? So formal… he didn’t want to be formal with you. He felt like he was fumbling around in front of his crush like a child might.

But you took his hand, palm fitting perfectly with his, and smiled softly. “I know, haha…” you managed before clearing your throat. “Um, I just wanted to say how incredible of a performer you are!”

“Me?” Jake couldn’t stop his smile. You were complimenting him! You noticed him just as much as he noticed you! Obviously, since you were an engene, but that hardly mattered with the fact itself reared its head and made him so happy.

“Yeah! You’ve been on fire this tour!” You said, giving a thumbs up. Then another member was filtering into your space, greeting you with a handshake after Jake’s unintentional lead, and he could hardly take his stare from you at all. You were just so close, so calm and elegant and happy, so-

Were you stammering? Why were you stammering? Blushing? You were calm in conversation. You didn’t do that, didn’t fangirl like that at concert, so why?

Heeseung was grinning warmly at you, and you were trembling a little as you shook his hand vigorously. “H-Hi Heeseung!” Your voice was practically a squeak, cheeks painted with a beautiful blush Jake wanted for his eyes only… and all for Heeseung. “You’re my bias, haha, sorry if I’m awkward…”

A strange feeling hit Jake then and wiped the smile off his face. Like a rock settling in his stomach. You were not his. You were his favorite, but he was not yours.

For the first time in the whole time he'd known his hyung, an unexpected rage and jealousy filled his chest. He felt territorial, like a dog frothing at the mouth. Him? It was him you wanted? Of course that was the case. Heeseung, who didn't have to work nearly as hard as Jake did. Heeseung, who was all natural talent and charisma. Heeseung, who was constantly front and center. Heeseung, with his perfect pitch and perfect smile and perfect eyes and hair and-

It wasn't fucking fair.

Heeseung hadn't noticed you before now, even when you were right there in front of him. Heeseung didn't know you like Jake did, the younger male having found your social media the instant he learned your last name. He didn't know you had a dog- like Jake!- didn't know you majored in science- Jake loved science!- didn't know you donated to animal conservation, didn't know you loved cheesy action movies, didn't know that when you beamed up at the stage it looked like there were stars in your eyes.

No, he didn't know all of that, and yet you blushed and shyly asked for a photo with Heeseung, not him.

This wasn't how this was supposed to be. Not at all. Especially not with the tour drawing to a close, with you heading back to college and out of Jake's sight. Sure, he could check your social media from abroad and check in on you, see your radiant smile through the pixels, but nothing would compare to seeing you right here and now. And for him to have to end this tour knowing that his soulmate had eyes for another? That it wasn't him you cooed and cheered for when they had comebacks?

No. No, no, no, no.

The final day came. The final stop. Jake performed as usual, felt his heart soar at the sight of you as usual, and then things ended just as they usually did. Except this time he knew your schedule, and he'd be interrupting it.

"This tour was so amazing dad! You outdid yourself!" He heard you congratulate your father. He made a small gasp and laughed as you barreled into him to hug him.

"Thanks, sweetheart I've got a few more things to finish up and then we can head to the airport, alright? Wait for me by the car."

"Mm'k, don't take too long." You chuckled and he heard you walk off. In an instant Jake was following after, having shook off his manager a good thirty minutes prior. Jake was sure they were pitching a fit looking for him, but that was hardly a priority right now.

Out into the parking lot, Jake following behind in a hoodie he'd snagged from the merch table. He pretended to scroll on his phone, heard hammering. As you passed through the alley near the entrance to the fitting area, Jake lunged. He'd never been the strongest person in the group, but in that moment he felt a surge of manic strength. Grabbed you around the middle, careful yet tight, and clamped a hand to your mouth.

Could he have just coaxed you there? Maybe. Could he wait to hold you in his arms in any form? Hardly.

Into the building the two of you went, you predictably screaming into his palm and struggling, until Jake pinned you to the wall. God, you looked so pretty...

"Shhh, hey, just me!" He said. Confusion radiated over your face. But you didn't collapse and bat your eyelashes, didn't grin and blush.

Would you do such a thing if he was Heeseung instead?

No, you just stared at him in fear and bewilderment. "Jake?" Your voice sounded out, still muffled behind his hand. Jake grinned a bit, happy to hear his name roll off your tongue in any capacity.

"Mmhmm! Just wanted to apologize real quick, alright? We'll talk later, baby."

"Wha-?

In pressed his thumbs, shifting to your throat and the sides of your windpipe. Not enough to bruise, but certainly enough to stop oxygen intake. In an instant you understood what was happening and clawed at his arms. He'd certainly have to explain it, but that wasn't on his mind. "Shh, shh, it'll be alright! Just need you quiet for a bit while I finish sorting things out. Then we can get to know each other better! Isn't that great?" Jake knew he probably sounded manic. Desperate. The slight smile plastered to his face was probably scary, but when you were so close in reach he could hardly do anything else. "Then you'll see I'm a much better choice than Heeseung. Promise."

You went limp. Jake cradled you. Then he called his manager, told him to meet him in the changing room.

In he walked, immediately going stock still at the sight before him. Jake sitting on the floor, cradling you in his lap, nose pressed to your hair as he hummed. He peered up and met his eyes.

"What happened? Is she hurt? Do I need to call someone...?" The words slowly trailed off as the mood of the room sunk in. The two stared at each other. "Jake, what did you do?" Was the final whispered question.

"Do you think Enhypen could survive a scandal like this? Belift without us?" Jake asked with a small grin.

"Jake...-"

"I'm taking her. " Jake smoothed your hair from your face, pressing a quick kiss to your forehead. "And you and HYBE are gonna help me keep her."

"Wannabe" MOODLETS in the SIMS 2 Originally by HB and MidgetheTree!!

This is my version/edit of Midgethetree's Mood Mod-Compatible Version of Hexagonal Bipyramid's "Wannabe Moodlets" for the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection!

This mod simulates moodlets from Sims 3 and Sims 4 based on a Sim's surroundings and their 3t2 traits!

You can read more on HB's original post but this mod basically gives some logic to your Sim's current mood based on who they are. It is a fantastic traits mod that encompasses many iconic traits.

HB's/Midge's EFFECTS

Grumpy Sims have a mood hit all the time. Loners have a mood increase from being alone. Hates the Outdoors and Loves the Outdoors have obvious effects. Dislikes Children will have a mood decrease from being around children. Loves the Heat and Loves the Cold have mood shifts based on temperature. Over-Emotional have wilder mood shifts overall. Finally, Night Owls have mood increases from nighttime.

MY EFFECTS

I have taken it a bit farther and added "Neurotic" to the "Grumpy" effect. So Neurotic Sims will also suffer in their Mood a bit and it will take higher needs to make them happier.

To do this, I simply added a check for the Neurotic trait in this resource and coded it the same way as the Grumpy trait.

Update Mood Boost and Moodlets to Sim Instance: 0x1002

My second feature is for the Sims 3 Pets traits "Cat Person" and "Dog Person".

To do this, I created two new resources, changed their group number to 0xFFFFFFFF and gave them two new instance numbers following HB's original Instances.

Get in Temp O - Cat Person Mood Boost of SO

It's literally the same code as "Get in Temp0 - Dislikes Children Mood Boost of SO" which is code for checking to make sure that the Sim who dislikes children is actually physically close to a Sim child.

These new resources just check if a Sim is close in proximity to a dog or a cat!

Then the Sim gets a Mood Boost!

To tune the Mood Boost, you can go into the BCON 0x1001 Mood Change From Traits

You can change any of the mood boosts by changing the value in the "Dec" field at the upper left.

I changed the Animal Lover boost to +15 even though it says differently in the picture so it's the same as the Loves the Outdoors boost.

This mod is a custom controller object. Since it is MidgetheTree's version, which includes features from Simler90's Mood Mod I highly recommend getting that mod and have my mod load last. As Midge explains in their post Midge did not include one nice feature from Simler90's Mood Mod, which is a Sim's mood being recalculated every hour - this also simulates moodlets!!! —Does not work with “Memory” version of Mood Mod.

Make sure to remove HB/Midge's Mod if you want my version.

— ‘demanding much?’ you’re sure he scoffed before sending the message. he’d walked right into your trap, though.

— ‘i’ll flirt back this time. you can even record the audio. don’t you want that, mon petit ami?*’ thank god for those three years of french you took in highschool. would you really flirt back? maybe. maybe not. you just needed him to think that you would.

— his reply is immediate. he’s caught in your web. ‘ouias. can i have a hint of your favorite flavor?*’

— ‘no. good luck.’ you smile to yourself before trying to refocus on work. tonight would be interesting at least… andyou’d be satisfying your sweet tooth.

— as you get ready for bed, you hear a soft buzzing noise coming from your phone. ah. you roll your eyes as you check the notification. it’s the same unknown number that’s been texting you for the last month. this time, the message includes a photo. as tired as you are, you’re still quite curious, so you open the text just to be met with a dark picture of you sleeping in bed two nights ago. what. the. fuck.

— you knew what night it was because of your pajamas. you were asleep in the photo, body completely relaxed and unaware of anyone being in your room, watching you. your eyes narrow as you read the accompanying message. ‘i just wanted to say goodnight, sleepyhead 😊’. right…

— you’d let the texts go on because quite frankly, they were a boost to your ego. that, and you may have gotten drunk once and texted him back. but now, they had to stop. ‘i’m blocking this number. if you text me again, i’ll call the cops. and don’t come near my house again.’

— his reply takes a moment. ‘you sleep better when i’m watching you, you know. i’m only keeping you safe.’

— you let out a snort. ‘that’s not fucking true.’ your reply is blunt, which hopefully will throw him off.

— ‘i know you love me. drunk words are sober thoughts. you’re just tired now. go to sleep, koshka*.’ well shit, that didn’t work at all.

— you’ve never seen the guy. you’ve never even heard his voice. you knew only his name and the fact that he was utterly obsessed with you. and you? you were.. unsure of how you felt about him. the attention felt good and.. surely it wasn’t bad to want some attention every now and then. still, he was fucking creepy, taking pictures of you from in your room somehow.

— finally, you sent a last reply. ‘goodnight, ivan.’

— you didn’t see it until the morning, but ivan sent back a reply of his own. not just a message, but another picture — a picture sent at 2 am of him in bed in the dark. a man around your age, with silver hair and vibrant, violet eyes. his nose caught your eye immediately. it was.. hot… he was looking up at the camera with a small smile. ‘thought of you as i went to bed. we’re both in bed at the same time, aren’t we? goodnight, koshka*.’

— it’s a lazy sunday for you. you’re lounging about the couch, enjoying yourself, when you get a message from that special number. he’s been calling and texting for months. by now, it wasn’t even one sided. it was… complicated. even so, you smiled as you saw he had texted you. he usually doesn’t text on mondays. any other day, sure, but you’re certain he hates mondays.

— you check the text out and it’s a picture from an old social media account you had as a teenager. your eyes widen. you thought you deleted it! underneath the picture he sent you a simple message, ‘LOL’.

— ‘where’d you get that?’ you asked him. it’s not like you had the power to scrub your old pictures from the internet but you definitely deleted that account years ago. you’d prefer to never see any of your tween tumblr pics ever again.

— ‘i have my ways. you were a cute kid.’ he replies, much to your annoyance. you’re about to tell him to delete it when he sends a follow up picture, one of him as a teen. ‘just so we’re fair,’ he says ‘here’s a picture of me’.

— the picture captures a lanky kid with pale skin and a nervous look on his face, which is covered in acne. faint blonde curly hair is all about his head and in his hand is an old purple game boy. his nails are painted black and his skinny jeans are of a similar color. the picture reminds you of a different time; a time where emo kids walked about and converse were the coolest shoe you could have. he must really be in love with you. more than obsessed, he was in love. and he trusted you. why else would he show a picture of him as a kid? especially one like that?

— you smile a little to yourself. ‘you were cute, too.’ an awkward kid, you were sure, but still cute. how he’d grown into the man he was today.. the man who fell for you.. well, who knows.

— ‘i still am.’ he replies. he doesn’t send a picture of his face, likely to keep himself somewhat anonymous. smart. but he does send a picture of him flexing his biceps. which.. well, it’s a picture you decide to save. what? you have needs! ‘i have muscle now too.’

— ‘you’re feeling sharing today, aren’t you?’ you tease. every day, the two of you seem to grow closer and closer. he’s grown far less violent, too — maybe because you’ve grown a lot more willing.

— ‘do i get a reward for being so open?’ he says, ‘maybe let me in your house? i’ll be a good boy, promise.’

— you set your phone down, biting your lip. he’s so charming it’s frustrating. how do you even reply to that? you shift in your seat, rereading the message… how to reply, how to reply!

— *”tesero” should translate to darling. i used the masculine form because that’s more gender neutral.

— *”mio amore” should translate to my love.

WHAT THE FUCK IS THE BEAKER CASTLE EVEN - A SimPE Deep Dive

Alright, so after stumbling upon some of the Beta pics on the Russian TheSims.cc site and this analysis post about the Beaker mansion, I became deeply curious if some of this would be reflected in the lot relationships. After all, some characters like Viola, Kelly, on top of several others could be found when digging through the raw and somewhat encrypted code of lots.

By now it's pretty clear that the Beaker home once belonged to this dude and his army of girlfriends (definitely check out the post I mentioned earlier). On top of that Loki (and possibly Circe) seems to have gone through at least two iterations before eventually settling on their final forms.

And on top of that whenever you scan the mansion in a completely new game, you will find fingerprints of primarily deceased Sims everywhere!

Now to get to the Sim relationships on the lot...

712 freaking Sim Relationships, all of which are unknown. Some of which still have stats set such as married, friends, relationship scores, etc. I tried comparing this to other lots in their neighborhood and NONE even come close. Both Olive and the Smiths have around 400. The other lots have below. And the only lots that are even a tad higher in this number are the Capps and the Summerdreams which makes sense when you realise that hood went through at least one other iteration before turning into Veronaville.

Now I wondered if the encrypted code (despite being very hard to read due to being partially encrypted) had any old Sim remnants left in there. And yep, several even. Many of which even have information such as their gender, hair, clothes and age in there. So lemme go over some of them:

1. First one, a guy who's name is partially encrypted so it will never fully be visible. It's not Johnny cause Johnny also has his character file on this lot.

A male teen with brown hair who used to wear the "tmbodyhoodedsweatshirtboardshorts" + the "tmhairhatcap" hairstyle.

2. Second is another teen, this time by the name of Zeeshan. He had black hair, the bucket hat hairstyle and wore the hooded sweatshirt, except with pants this time around (and grey apparently?).

3. The third was an adult male Sim by the name of Kenneth with black hair. Based on his info he was likely meant to be a Gardener Sim.

4. The fourth was one named Kana... Possibly a longer name cause once again the code becomes a bit shambled here. She too was meant to be a Gardener as seen by her outfit and hair data. Her hair would have been brown.

5. Elle, another female Gardener Sim, this one having red hair.

6. Vasyl, an adult male Sim who wore the busdriver outfit. Sadly his hair data seems to be blocked behind the code. For funsies I like to give the name to Bald Beta Loki, since he gives off that vibe. BUT, I think this was an NPC busdriver due to the outfit.

7. Joanne, an adult female Sim with an unknown hair colour in corn rows style and the classy afbodyjacketturtlesweaterdressboots. Sadly her ID is hidden behind the encrypted code, so it's hard to fully make out.

All of these Sims appear to be NPC/Townie Sims. None of them match ANYONE in the Beta pictures. And the current Townies/NPCs seem to have replaced them. Interestingly enough, those that were NPCs are still NPCs and those that were Townies are still Townies. Making me wonder if this is a thing that translates to other Sim IDs too. That Sims that were Townies in earlier iterations are still Townies in their new form. Same for NPCs and yep, Playables. This is merely an assumption I'm making on what I'm finding here, but if anyone can help research this further, that would be greatly appreciated, especially as this could mean the Viola ID may not belong to Viola Monty.

Viola is an odd case cause no outfit, hair or other data can be found in the lot file and she's only ever mentioned once in the context of lines filled with "sleep in pyjamas". But for now I cannot say anything with certainty unless more remnants of these old Sims could be found somewhere. OR, if these files could be read in its entirety which is quite difficult.

It's very hard to get a Sim ID attached to a lot (believe me I tried) and often times seems to rather happen accidentally than intentionally. Moving a Sim out or having a Sim die usually removes the data they once held to that lot. Good example is Loki in my current Strangetown who lived on this lot all of his life and when he died he had no remnants left on this lot.

REGARDLESS! The Beaker lot is ancient and seems to have been ground for a ton of testing, Sims and many more things. No wonder the Beakers got this home with its incredibly shady history. Half of the beta town was partying here!

Updated Inge Table Counter Controller

I am a big fan of Inge from simlogical's table and counter controller, it is a wonderful tool that helps us guide our Sims to make smarter choices about where to eat or place food. I love that I can have a breakfast nook that is actually used for breakfast, and a dining room that is used the rest of the day. But this specific home above proved beyond the tools ability, as it treats island counters the same as ordinary counters, and my Sim kept blocking his own breakfast spot by using that counter to place the group meal. Off to fix it I went!

I have added four additional functions to the controller:

Island counter surface use setting is now separated from ordinary counters, for scenarios like the one above where you want to stop your Sims from blocking an eating spot by using it for storage

Enable all/disable all option added, for those cases where you want to quickly turn off all options, for example on outdoor tables during winter.

Added alternative object model shapes, for greater variation and to better suit outdoor use.

UPDATE: Whoward from @picknmixsims has modified this object to make the cut offs for meal times more user-edit friendly. It is now defined by a BCON on the controller object, and can easily be edited by you to determine what the cut off should be for the parts of the day.

I have added a "Times" menu with the hours for each category listed, to help you remember what the cut offs are, for those of you like me that aren't good with remembering numbers. UPDATE: Now made dynamic by Whoward, so that it'll pick up and display whatever you set the hours to be.

I have only edited two out of the three necessary files, but all three are included in the download for the sake of convenience. If you had the controller previously please make sure to delete your old versions of "ijTableCounterController" and "ijCounterControllerPatch". Previously placed controllers will retain their settings, as long as you do not load the game with no controller in downloads. If this object is completely new to you, I recommend you check out Inge's original upload to learn more about how it works :)

Download from simfileshare (Has Inge's original meal time cut offs, as shown in the picture above. Note, there is a typo in afternoon, it should be 11-16) Download Ver 2 from simfileshare (Makes use of Picknmix edit to alter meal times to better reflect what is common where I live. Set to Breakfast 5-10, Lunch 10-16, Dinner 16-22, Night 22-05. I encourage you to edit and set what you want, but I know some people are not comfortable so I decided to add a version with hopefully more realistic cut-offs)

Original object was BG compatible I believe, but various models I chose are from later EPs/SPs so I recommend having all games to use this.

Can I make my sim and have you give them a trait from a pack I do not own?

Absolutely! Just let me know in either your sim post or the notes you send me with the download link and I can make the change for you. Please note I do not own Lovestruck or Life & Death so I cannot add those traits.

Similarly if you want them to like an activity that you don't have the pack for such as nectar making I can also add this in for you.

Does Deanna have an exact age in your game?

Yes she does, in my rotational save unlike my SBL I give my sims exact ages. Deanna is 21 and a half so would probably be comfortable flirting with anyone between 20 and 30.

Why are submissions open for so long?

Because real life exists and I would like people who have busier lives to be able to submit a sim if they wish. I will not be playing with any of them for introductions until next year so I can give a long window.

What if I submit a sim then want to withdraw them?

This is absolutely fine IF you do so before December 25th. This is so I can figure the schedule out with the numbers. If after the introductions you wish to withdraw your sim for your own or someone else's use I am happy to write them out of the competition with a flu or something.

Help! I've already sent you my sim but I want to change something about them! Can I edit them?

Again if it is before December 25th feel free to change your sim as much as you like. I will be adding the final versions to my game after December 25th so if you get the urge to change a trait, or on second thought you really don't like that dress, go for it. Just make sure I have the link to your final version by Christmas.

Can I put my sim on the gallery instead of SFS?

If your sim has no custom content and you would prefer to send them in via the gallery that is fine. Just let me know when they're up and what your gallery ID is.

How do I put my sim on SFS?

Once your sim is complete in CAS, save them to your library and take a note of the time. In your documents head to where your sims 4 folder is and go to the Tray folder. If you sort by file creation date you should be able to see several files that were all made at the time you saved your sim to your library. These are your sims tray files, if someone puts them in their own Tray folder they will show up in that person's library. Select them all and copy and paste to a separate location on your computer. There select them all and by right clicking you should get the option to compress to zip file. Once you have the zip file make a SFS account. If you do not have one me and many other simmers are able to get a code for you to use to make an account. There upload the zip file of your sim, there's a big upload file button. Once it is up there will be an option on the same line as the file to copy the link. That link is what I will need to download the folder. If you want to check, like I do sometimes, you can open a new tab or window and paste the link in there to see where it will lead. You should see a regular SFS page with the name of the file and the options to download or heart.

Can my spellcaster have xp and known spells?

Yes! So the skills that the contestants will be choosing to work on are things that may impact their performance in a challenge. That's why skills such as fitness will be set to zero. Since not everyone is an occult there won't be any occult specific challenges. Feel free to have your spellcaster know spells and/or be higher rank than apprentice.

Sims In Bloom: Generation 2 Pt. 25 (Unexpected Death Cull but then a Baby, Finally!)

The town of Henford was rocked by a seniors’ river cruise disaster which killed Spencer’s grandparents Dennis and Vivian Lewis-Kim, as well as Ian and Derek Moody-McMillan, who were old friends of the Nesbitts and grandfathers to Nicola, Hazel’s bestie-turned-girlfriend.

The disaster brought Everett and Spencer home to visit her family. The Nesbitts sent condolences, grateful to have been spared greater grief as the town’s fledgling riverboat tourism industry took a nosedive. Spencer met her new niece and infant Greyson got to know his aunts on the Pancakes and Kim-Lewis sides of his family.

The visit made them miss home, and they began to talk about coming home to Henford for good. For now, however, life called them back to Oasis Springs after the funerals.

Daisy was still a PlantSim, which was concerning as the effects of the forbidden fruit had worn off much slower than she expected, and River’s wedding was just around the corner. Despite this, Daisy stayed close to Heather until delivery.

One evening, Heather tried to show her mother how to use accounting software for her floral business, but it wasn't going well and Heather was starting to get bored. She nonchalantly checked her phone. "You wrote a whole cookbook, Mom. You taught me how to do online research, but you can't figure out a few numbers?"

Daisy frowned. "I always let the telescope do my number-crunching for me. I really just loved gardening." She clicked something, and the program disappeared. "Oh, what now?"

"Let me." Heather leaned over her mother's shoulder. "You deleted it? How did you do that?"

Daisy shrugged in frustration. "I really don't know."

Heather opened her Recycle Bin to retrieve the deleted file when she noticed a strange folder. "VetConnect? Is this a clone? What?"

"What does that mean?"

"I...I think someone might have cloned my app files and given them to Petcare Inc."

"Who would do such a thing?"

"Other than you, no one's used my computer since...since Malcolm! I used to let him log in to send work emails. Oh my god! I could kill him!"

Daisy frowned. "Don't say that. Can you sue?"

"Against the Landgraabs? I don't even know if I could prove it was him," she said. "But I think I can fight fire with fire. My vet tech had the idea, and it took years to make the first one, but I'm going to have to work on a new app."

After a family dinner in Henford, Heather finally went into labour. Daisy went with her to the hospital, where her doctor was the on-call intern, Jamar Scott, her childhood neighbour.

"How's life in Brindleton Bay?"

"It's really great! I love being by the sea and I really feel like the clinic was my calling."

"I know what you mean. What you do for animals is what I love to do for sims."

"And how's Malia's freelance career?"

"She loves the flexibility, and I can't say I blame her. We're talking about starting a family of our own once my residency's done and I can work better hours."

Just before four in the morning, an exhausted Heather gave birth to a healthy baby boy she named Ash Neal Nesbitt. She debated the last name for months, but Malcolm hadn’t checked on her except when he needed a paternity test. And he stole her mobile app's code!

Since then he’d been no better than a ghost. If he wanted to miss out on his son's life, Heather was fine with it. ->

Just saw a tweet saying max has never lost a position during a SC restart since he joined RB. Now idk how reliable this stat is (lol) but u sometimes mention how his restarts are crazy so I was just wondering why are his restarts so good? Like what does he do taht the rest just isn't doing?

According to this op who checked specific time stamps for every VSC and SC deployed until 2021, available here, Max has driven behind 88 safety cars since he joined red bull, 103 total, and he never lost position on a single one. Which means he's either kept position or actually managed to overtake. He gained position 17 times. For comparison wid another yk pretty good driver, during the same period Lewis gained position 5 times, and only lost track position 3 times. All 3 to Max. Thats 2016-2021. I think Singapore 2022 ruined the record because I'm pretty sure Max lost position under the sc there. Idk how many times he's gained so far either, but I can think of a few races this year alone, so it wud be interesting to check. Hes been able to gain position for about 20% of restarts between 2016-2021, which is like .. not even comparable to other drivers numbers its his stat its definitely a Verstappen thing and the easiest way to explain it is: its a grey area, it allows for somebody wid enough nerve, skill and commitment to take ownership and use it for their own benefit. Enter the nerve, skill and commitment baddie, whos been haunting motorsport since before he cud vote.

SC restarts were cheat codes that inevitably lead to a verstappen amendment because FIA is bitches. During SCs Max liked to get his insane self right next to whoever was in front of him, and I mean RIGHT NEXT to the mf, and make them eat shit and d1e the moment they were allowed to restart. These are called 'restart tactics' I prefer 'jeddah appetizers'. Like literally he wud bully these men, run them wide or pinch them against walls like they owed him lunch money and then take off. This is still legal mind u, u can gain position after a SC, its literally racing, the updated rule last year was more of a 'fucking calm down Max' type of thing. Not the first of its kind, as we know. Even tho they kinda backtracked wid the first one and now u can twerk a lil bit under braking but not too much. I love f1. Anyway.

Article 55.14 of F1’s sporting rules states: “In order to avoid the likelihood of accidents before the safety car returns to the pits, from the point at which the lights on the car are turned out, drivers must proceed at a pace which involves no erratic acceleration, or braking nor any maneuver which is likely to endanger other drivers or impede the restart."

They said cars had to stay in position, they didn’t say how. They didnt say he couldnt simply keep his delta, in a situation where its practically impossible, and gain under the VSC, for example.

Max excels at rolling starts because one, the audacity 😐((I think sharl and lewis the only 2 drivers who ever managed to beat him at his own game)) two, the timing and skill is computer level of specific. It is a very VERY meticulous process, and it takes making hands-on decisions about multiple components, racing lines, tires, acceleration, lifting, in a very, very short amount of time. So pretty much Max SC restarts are him not beating the made in a lab allegations. But most sim racers, ex drivers, engineers, will just tell you that the reason he's so good at this is because he practices more than everybody else in the world, probably. U do it enough times and it becomes second nature, u know exactly how the car is gonna behave so what seems like 'instinct' and the product we see, as fans, a bunch of slow cars suddenly going ‼️‼️AHSHSHSHDJSHF actually takes a lot of thinking on their side. Max does a lot of thinking in the car he doesn't get credit for, because the mad max narrative is also such a huge part of who he is, and it is true, to a certain extent, but its not mindless aggression, never has been. Its a deliberate choice and its got a simple purpose: gaining or maintaining position. I'm not saying he never got too reckless or that he never pushed it, but he always did it for a reason, and he had full control of his car, always.

Thats the crucial difference between Max and somebody whos just aggressive, because if Max was truly just a meathead behind the wheel, he wud not be known for mastering one of the few aspects of racing that rests entirely on strategy and skill, the restart. Thats why doctor markonstein put his ass in an f1 car when he was 17, because if a teenager wid no experience and a temper can control an f1 machine to the point he becomes an actual threat, imagine what he can do in his 20s 😐. Maybe in his 20s he can lift less than a quarter of a second before the control line to stay behind the leader and be allowed to overtake him at the restart.

Progress today. Basic target seeking, attacking, dying behavior in. Probably will have units return to the zone they came from when they can't find a target (numbers still inflated for performance testing, you can't really tell whats going on with that many).

Currently they check if someone is in a large rectangle in front of them, and then just seek the nearest opponent if that fails. Being caught by a pursuer ends the target seeking and forces a non engaged unit into fighting whoever caught them. Two units who arent either units target will just pass each other currently, but I want to re-experiment with batching collisions so they arent all doing it at once.

I plan more to it, but the rectangle check first goal would be that standard units will see if they have an opening and go forward towards the backline before chasing an engaged unit below. Some units might check an even smaller area for an opening, and others might prefer to swarm (skipping right to nearest as an example).

This sim currently is set to give 3 orders a step (180 orders a second). I might change this now that I think about it, and assign costs to order complexity. Finding a target is significantly more expensive than just assembling in your ordered region. Units with special behavior might need orders that just involve finding a simple XY, and that probably shouldn't be treated the same as collision checks and testing against unit data.

Lastly, the dead sprites are just added to a sprite layer and unit overhead should be gone after that. Gotta check more for any holes in the code.

Hi guyssss!

I bring you a gift in the form of a rather boring, but practical posepack. Though saying that, my seated conversation poses were flagged on Tumblr for being inappropriate, so it may well be that this one is also 2 hot 4 Tumblr. Probably not, though. I made this one because I have a whole lot of chapters coming up with a whole lot of talking (emotional talking – see, there’s a theme to this thing). Unfortunately, conversation poses tend to just fall into arguing or neutral/happy kind of conversations, so I made these which display a range of different emotions. I think they’re extremely useful and there’s never been any doubt that I’d share them.

Let’s look at the goods!

Emotive Talks

Most of these are stand-alone poses that can be mixed and matched with these and other conversation poses. If you have the poseplayer add-on, the look at-interaction is great, too:

Number 5 is a couple set. As usual, these will snap together, though it might need adjusting with alt to fit his hand to her arm (depends on bulk/clothing). Also, when I say ‘male’ and ‘female’, I just use it to distinguish the two poses. There’s absolutely no reason that these can’t be used with any gender.

There are two male poses, one is height adjusted (male) and the other isn’t (maleb). As always, with height adjusted poses you can either:

Use a height-slider. I use CMar’s slider. Enzo’s height is set to 200 and Gina’s is set to -130.

Use an OMSP. Simply pop your dude on it and set it to around 13 cm, then snap photos from the waist-up. Unless your dude can fly – be creative, you special rainbow child, you.

One extra lovely thing is that the male one can be matched with other poses in this pack where the arms are at her side (and possibly poses from other packs). Check, for example, how I used it in chapter 20 (also in my featured image).

For this one, I also provide a look at her hands because 1. I like you guys to feel certain that the hands aren’t fucky and I’m trying to hide it. 2. I think the hands look nice and not-fucky:

Walk and Talk

I didn’t originally intend for these to be included in this download, but they’re useful and it’s Christmas, so let’s live a little. These are just two poses for walking and talking together:

They do well with height-adjusted sims (as you can see), but I don’t see any reason why they shouldn’t be possible to use on non-adjusted sims.

Repost of my Mini WantTrees tutorial

Mini tutorial on custom WantTrees using the Break Up want as an example

Don’t ever open WantTrees without doing this though: Copy and paste your WantTrees (in Program Files not Documents!!) into a safe folder. Do not open it while it is in your Program Files.

Then, when it is safely somewhere else on your PC, you can open it, edit it, and then just copy and paste it into your program files. I always make a BACKUP of the Maxis want trees when I do this. I keep a folder of several different WantTree versions actually and I change them based on the hood (for example, Roaring Heights is edited to have no computer wants etc.)

Needless to say, you should only have one wanttrees at a time in your Program Files and only edit the boolean keys inside the individual WNTTs or … you could delete entire WantTrees but … I wouldn’t advise it.

In WantTrees in SimPe, it will look overwhelming. But gradually you will get used to it. The three instances for “Break up” wants are 0x6DB3A03E, 0xADE345CE and 0xCDCE5F06! You can sort by Instance in the WantTrees package. Let's look together! First, ensure you are looking at this file in the RESOURCE LIST

You will see a very long list of text files. They are basically just Notepad files and you can export them as text files for easier use, but I just edit them in SimPe.

Open those instances that I mentioned by clicking on them in the Resource List and then switching to PLUGIN VIEW and you will see what looks like this

What you want to be looking for is this line:

This tells you the name (and the ID number directly after the name) of the Want that the game is trying to assess based on the selected Sim.

If it says "alphaTrigger" then it is a Want TRIGGER, which means an event that happens in the game that triggers certain wants, so don't mess with those!

From this first section of code, it looks like the game is applying the upcoming wants to becoming a teenager - with a TRIGGER of the Sim becoming a Teen.

Once we scroll down, we get to the next referred want or want trigger. This one is what you need! It just says "alphaFallInLove" so this is referring to the want to fall in love, NOT a trigger. This can be verified by using PickNMix's object and want spreadsheet to check the 8 digit code AFTER it says "AlphaFallinLove" : the want ID for this particular want is cdaa9450

So, this section will tell you the Want that it's referring to, but you still have scrolling to do!

THIS is the important section. This section is determining WHICH TYPE OF SIM can roll this want!

From this, it looks like the Want is weighted heavily (do you see where it says WEIGHT? and it's set to 100?) to be rolled by Family Sims, but there are some other details that I am not sure of, so let's just look at the "Break Up" want.

Ok, we found the actual want. Now to scroll down and see what types of Sims are coded to roll this want.

I would also suggest looking at the order of the wants that are referred to. It can be confusing to figure out what MAXIS was doing, but often, if you scroll down to the VERY END of the XML editor, you will see comments from MAXIS explaining the specific WantTree. But not with all of them! It takes some context clues!

So, as you can see, in the "Age" section, Teens are the only ones who can roll the Break Up want. All you need to do is change where it says "False" to true for Adults and Elders!

Then you can add your own customizations! In the aspiration section, it is coded that only Family aspiration can roll the Want to break up, but what about changing False to True for Pleasure Sims? Try it out! Also, to reiterate, do you see where it says WEIGHT? And how it is set to ZERO for all the sections? I would play around with that. I assume certain wants are WEIGHTED to be rolled by certain ages, aspirations, or personalities.

Also, let's edit personality! Why not? Let's change False to True for Mean Sims to want to break up, and Serious Sims! notice I also changed the Weight

Now, this is untested, but the worst that will happen is wants will get rolled that don't make sense for your selected Sim.

You can play around endlessly with this. Just don't touch the TRIGGERS, only play with where the actual WANTS are being referred to. And investigate the ORDER of the sections ... most of the time the ORDER of the sections suggests a PROGRESSION of wants being rolled.

Please please help!!! my EA app for the sims 4 is broken and this is my last resort.

A couple days ago, I found myself wanting to play the sims as im sure all of us want to do every now and then and so I try to start up my game, but it needs to be updated, because of the new update. So i Update the game and it tells me its ready to launch, I go back to the EA app and The update button is still there. I try to update it again, but nothing happens it just has the user agreement pop up and I click it and nothing happened. I try for a few more minutes to try and get my game working but give up because its late and Im tired.

A few days later, I still want to play the sims, so I try again, but this time the app wont even open. I try a few different things like pulling out my save files to see if their corrupted, my moms, and the entire game out of the documents folder in finder as well as deleting and reinstalling the EA app but I cant get it to open. So I gave up again. no sims.

Today, I wanted to play the sims again and felt like trying again, so my friend and I get on the phone to try and figure out to do. I uninstall all the mods I have on my computer completely, I uninstall the app again, I clear the cashe and I finally get the app to open doing this.

The app even though we opened it was showing us nothing except a dark blue background, it wasnt showing anything up. I get the app to restart itself on the top bar, now I get it to give my the option to go offline and I request going back online and EAlauncher pops up, has me enter my password and it opens, showing me the full app, with my library and everything.(I don't have anything else in EA just the sims 4) but the app is still telling me I need to update my game. We try repairing the app, we try clearing the cashe AGAIN. The app wont let us update the game and It wont let me uninstall it in the app, and nothing seems to happen if I take it out of the EA app folder on finder.

At this point Im actually tweaking and I just want to play the sims. Im searching up everything online, and so is my friend. we get the following

1. restart the app and your computer

2. uninstall mods

3. check activity monitor - WE HAD NOT DONE THIS ONE YET

At this point Im scrambling to find a tutorial on how to do this because I don't know crap about tech, installing sims 4 mods is the peak of my ability. My friend who knows of crack websites is looking on installation, broken game, (and more) tutorials to see if anything from those help because apparently some of them do something to the games coding??? So we find one and it talks about error messages and my stupid ass realizes Ive been having a communication error with opening the sims since I got my new Mac but it hadn't effected anything till now.

the Error code I was getting, and the only thing that would pop up when I would try to open the app was EC: 10701 - Communication error, but it had stopped happening once I had deleted my mods, so I don't know if it has any effect anymore. At this point we've run out of things to try and the farthest we've gotten is the app opening again but I cant uninstall, repair, or update my game.

I go back online to try and find a help bot on the EA website or a phone number I can call but I cant find anything and the one thing they do have only allows "100 characters per question" to this stupid fucking robot who probably wont even connect me to a person if I tried.

Its been 2 hours at this point and I dont know what to do so my friend suggests posting a bunch of stuff on reddit/tumblr/twitter/etc to see if anyone can help because for some reason EA doesnt have a fucking help line when their app is completely broke.

TLDR; my EA wont open and ive tried everything I can think of, uninstalling mods, uninstalling the app, and more but the app will not open and Im turning to here as my last hope.

I don't play sims, but I'm posting this in the hopes that someone on here does and can help!
