#all this because people want a free Palestine.
Hey, just wanna point out, not every non-Palestinian person living in Israel is a Zionist. Not everyone there absolutely loves violent colonialism & genocide, not everyone there has the privilege to leave/settle somewhere else because they disagree with the state they live in, not everyone there is living in lavish luxury or are part of the top-level privileged class of the country. Some people were born there (and some are still kids who literally have been fed propaganda all their lives and can't be expected to know any better), some Jewish people settled as refugees or because they had nowhere else to go, just trying to survive where they could.
There are and always have been protests in Israel against the genocide and occupation of Palestine.
So yes, absolutely fuck you to the settler colonial state of Israel and the people who enable and actively celebrate it's violence. And I absolutely want some land back & reparation efforts to take place when Palestine is free. BUT, shit along the lines of "I hope everyone in Israel suffers/dies" (which I heard a bit of when Iran bombed Israel) is Nazi shit and I—nor anyone else sincerely in support of Palestinian liberation—should claim that kind of speech, or anything else veering into anti-semitic or just plain bloodthirsty territory. Violence is often an inevitable part of liberation when the oppressor is awfully violent themselves, but I also don't think we should revel in the idea of Israel being raised to the ground. It's not helpful nor productive, it's just cruel.
Now, can we please redirect our attention to the fucking mass graves being found in Gaza instead of wishing Iran's government would bomb Israel harder. All eyes on Gaza. All eyes on Rafah. All eyes on Palestine. 🍉

Hey autismdogg, do you support the antisemitic hate crimes carried out by your fellow performative leftists who use Palestine as an excuse to assault random Jews on campus?
^^Keep reading to learn why this is simply untrue and distracting from the real issue.
Usually I would not respond to a message like this, but I am so tired of the misinformation being spread about the encampments.
This is a lie. There have been no assaults on Columbia campus during the time of the Gaza solidarity encampment. (Unless we’re counting police brutality.)
After living in the encampment for several days, I have witnessed absolutely no violence.
The Columbia encampment community guidelines specifically state to not engage with Zionists at all. Here are photos of the guidelines.
Anti-Zionism is not antisemitism. A large number of people living in the encampment are Jewish anti-Zionists.
Not long ago I celebrated the beginning of Passover with many of them. Here is a photo of the Seder we had in the encampment.
The Columbia Gaza solidarity encampment is a beautiful community based in mutual aid and human compassion. The overflowing joy, raw grief, and unending empathy I have witnessed on these grounds are a wonder I shall not soon forget.
Zionists who have never set foot anywhere near Columbia campus are spreading lies online because they know they are in the wrong. They want to distract and divide us.
We must keep our focus on the people of Palestine. Zionists are trying to get us to focus more on what’s happening on campuses than the massacre happening in Gaza.
Our work matters.
We will not stop. We will not rest. None of us are free until Gaza is free. 🇵🇸

I tried to post on instagram some years ago and I saw a Native American activist who fully supported Palestine, like she literally had “free Palestine save muslims” on the top of her profile. I was new to the English speaking community so I was.. a bit surprised. I didn’t think that these kind of things even exist on the internet.
When 7/10 just happened, I was thinking about her. It wasn’t my first thought of course, but my mom asked me, “but all the Americans support Israel, right?”. That’s when I remembered her. I was wondering what she thinks about it now. Did she wake up? Did she realize everything?
Of course there’s no hope of it. I opened tumblr and I saw my mutuals and just cool people I follow posting all the awful antisemistic stuff.
I haven’t visited instagram for a while. I don’t want to see how that activist is doing now. Because I think I already know what I will see.
And of course that’s right. Free Palestine. From HAMAS. Save muslims. From islamists. (And from themselves).

Since my real name isn't on here, I'd like to say something. I was at the Ohio State University protest for Palestine last night, and the way police treated us was atrocious.
They stayed at a distance until the Isha prayer. This prayer must be said at 9:45 every day. Police chose this moment to start arresting and hurting people. This is when everyone was most vulnerable.
Every protester was completely peaceful. We were shouting "Let Them Pray" to the officers, and they replied with ignorance. I was lucky I didn't get arrested, but I know people who did. I am bruised, and the wind was knocked out of me.
This is all because we don't support a genocide and want to make a change. OSU made up a curfew (that has never existed) and said we were trespassing. Many of us live there.
Bottom line: keep going. Make the world see that you care.

PALESTINE UPDATES 🇵🇸
"These young heroes in university around America and the world are stronger than the last occupation in history. And for the first time in our lives as Palestinians we hear a voice louder than their voices and the sound of their bombs and even stronger than their control in all aspects of our lives. In the 70s the occupation prime minister said after decades of killing Palestinians, stealing the lands and establishing state of Israel over the lands that the adults will die. And children will definitely forget... Because its children and youth who are leading the movement now for a free Palestine. Putting everything the have on the line to demand justice and end of the genocide and a new era of the world. Not based on oppression, exploitation or colonialism. Do you know what the best part is? Demonstrations and calls for boycotting the academic institutions are not limited to a certain people from certain religion, culture, colour, race or maybe economic level. We are all different. So we can no longer be accused of anti-semitism serving some agendas from outside. We are just different people calling for the same thing. People to people and people to justice."
This is a snippet from the video above from Bisan. Our actions as a collective no matter how big or small have made an impact on them. We have shown them that we care, and that they aren't alone. That their voices and screams for help are being heard. No matter how much resistance from governments we may face. The power of the people is always stronger. And your empathy goes a long way. Your boycotting, your amplifying, your donations. Go a long way. Even if it doesn't seem like it to you. Your actions of support make a difference. Your voice makes a difference, your compassion makes a difference.
In a society of people that look away because they don't want to be controversial or problematic by bringing attention to these issues. Choose to be different, choose to care. So continue to boycott, continue to protest, continue to amplify, continue to donate.
Because the world needs people like you.

pro palestine protest today in London and suddenly nobody is allowed to wear anything that "conceals their identity" in certain parts of central London and the excuse of "based on evidence" it's so clear this is just racial profiling and islamophobia and a gateway for police harassment and even when asked about masks the pigs are still trying to cover their trail. ok fascist police state

Zionists want you to conflate Judaism and Zionism. Zionists want you to believe that Judaism cannot exist without Zionism and that all Jews are Zionists. Zionism would have Jews believe that a Jewish state is the only way that they can be safe from antisemitism and will point to any instance of antisemitism as proof that Zionism is the solution- so Zionism wants gentiles to be antisemitic in their support of Palestine. They want you to conflate all Jews with Zionism and the state of Israel, and they want you to treat all Jews regardless of political affiliation as the face of Israel. Antizionist Jews exist, and incidences of antisemitism ostensibly acting against Zionism will not help dismantle the forces propping Zionism up.
Don't do their work for them.

how come you do post much about gaza?
assuming you meant don't*? because this makes no sense otherwise? anyway
that you don't see my activism doesn't mean it isn't happening. tumblr is a terrible platform for activism, so I don't use it for that

i was goinggg to say something way longer but if all it takes is a pretty surface level criticism of you as a fandom and not even a personal attack or something for you to send someone (a palestinian no less) an ask like this then maybe they have a point
i do still think you can care about multiple things at once obv but when the sustained efforts of an online campaign to get people to listen bear a resemblance superficially, frustration and anger is a normal response to that ... 😭 and getting feelings hurt about it isn't going to make those people just be like "Oh never mind you guys are cool" or something esp if you keep proving you CAN'T be cool about it ... you can obviously care about palestine (and any other global issue) and talk about it and take actionable steps to further this and be active about it AND want to get a show renewed or whatever but that's not really the point. (some) people are getting to a unhealthy level of obsession about this renewal and people critiquing that in the wake of the very well-known criticism already surrounding the show is Not the end of the world for you, and that is what this is. and it is not a complex scenario it's pretty 1 + 1. like I'VE been getting more frustrated about the severity of seeing the word renewal everywhere since the beginning and i think people (largely PALESTINIANS THEMSELVES...) saying this have a point.

Hey everyone!
I'd like to start off by thanking you all for the support on my last post regarding the genocide over in Gaza.
I'm making this post because I would like to provide another resource you can use to help the people of Palestine that was not included in my last post. I'm sure plenty of people know what it is and use it already, but I figured I'd link it anyway.
If you click the link provided below, it will take you to a website that donates money to Palestine every time you click the button provided. It's completely free, and you can click the button once a day (although as I was putting this post together, I found out that you can click multiple times if you have more than one device to do it on). If you've ever read a tweet from someone telling you to "do your daily click", this is what they are referring to.
So, yeah, click away, my friends!
Thanks so much for your time!

not-so-fun fact: if you claim to be "neutral" in a war/genocide you are supporting the oppressor
neutrality is compliance
