I needed guidance, so I went to my friend’s house. He was a Hawaiian elder, a chief or something, so I knew he’d be able to help me with my problems.

While I was there telling him what was bothering me, this little gray puppy ran up and hopped in my lap, started licking me all over. He told me the dog just showed up one day, so he’d been feeding it, but he can’t touch it since he’s allergic to dogs. It was so cute, this little gray thing with dark gray eyebrows and a dark gray moustache.

The elder had to get up to get his allergy medication, and on his way to the bathroom he told me I should take my boat and sail, go see the world. I was looking at the art on his walls and decided I’d take the dog with me, as a companion, so I named him Eyebrows ‘cause of his dark eyebrows.

Stupid and inconvenient allergies the ninja have:

Lloyd: Hayfever, hates summer and locks himself in the monastery but it doesn’t even do much because his eyes still get all swollen like a cherry. Jay makes fun of his sneezes.

Kai: he can’t eat eggs. He always throws up after. He can’t even smell eggs cause now he just automatically feels like throwing up.

Zane: he’s allergic to copper. I just find it funny if he was.

Nya: SHES CANONICALLY ALLERGIC TO PERFUME I REFUSE TO FORGET THAT.

Cole: he’s allergic to dogs. After he turned into a dog in dragons rising for a short time, Zane had to shove medicine down his throat.

Jay: Jay is one of the rare individuals who aren’t allergic to anything, he makes fun of everyone else’s. (Lies, Jay has a basic nut allergy and eh refuses to tell anyone and has went through years without anyone finding out, until Nya made him a cake with nuts in it.)

Cons of training your dog with treats: i no longer remember what it's like to not smell dog treats. It's what I breathe, it's what flows through my veins. The World has been reduced to pungent salmon and pork.

As much as I love puppy girls, my god, dog fur makes my allergies act up so bad. 😖

Like, if I’m petting my puppy wife Navia, my eyes would be so red and teary while my face is pink from trying to scratch myself. My nose would be all runny due to being congested, but it’s soooo worth it to kiss my sweet puppy girl and rub her ears :(

I sneezed, told the person next to me that I'm allergic to them, and they just looked at me like I was a weirdo... Hilariously enough, I say this every time I sneeze around my cat or dog (I'm not allergic to animals).

thinking about it now, how would Lyca react to chocolate?

I'm sure we all know about the chocolate being bad for dogs thing

(dogs can't metabolize a certain chemical in chocolate but humans can)

However, the werewolf transformation sequence Ed mentioned says that Lyca's body gradually changes from human to wolf form

While his flesh and bone change, do his other internal systems get rewired too? With those implications, does his digestive system change along with that?

Or does he just share those similarities with dogs by default?

I can see him being able to process chocolate to a certain extent because he's part human, but his digestive system wouldn't be as effective in doing so

Like he can certainly consume more chocolate than dogs can but I feel like he's still gonna get sick if he eats more than he can handle...

Honestly I imagine this happening at some point as he's learning more about the outside world and he gets sick but he has no idea why

OH I can see a cute scenario with Rui and MC taking care of him while he's ill and maybe Ed pops in to tell them

what if Rui actually comes up with some kind of anomalous chocolate that isnt toxic for him so he'd be able to enjoy it without any issues 🥺

Well. Fuck. It’s been a wrenching day of back and forth on Wyvern but my betrothed has moved into a full throat swelling and their health is at risk if we keep the pup. Called the shelter and left a message, but keeping him is now actively dangerous. We’ll surrender him tomorrow as planned.

i'm back from the vet, the good news is the vet thinks boomer's tummy bump is just a benign lipoma. buuuuuut she's worried about where it's located, and how fast it's growing. since it's right above his peanus, if it gets any bigger it could impact how he pees and cause problems :/ she's also worried about that cluster of bumps on his hip, where that big floof patch is. she wants to remove it and send to be tested for cancer cells. they already tested it at the vet clinic and said it seemed like just fat cells (like a lipoma), but she's still concerned about it. she said i can wait and monitor both spots for growth, but that i should probably consider getting them removed soon :s
