So I decided to restart my animal crossing new leaf for the 3ds file completely but I didn't know that Tom Nook would OFFER TO BUY the entire town and let you carry over the money to the new town and it's hysterical because the mayor basically peaces out, cashes in on 30 million bells, changes entire identity, and accidentally becomes the mayor in a new town. There's a fanfic there but I'm too lazy to write it.

Honestly, I think most of the new sv pokemon suck in design :[ a lot of my favorites are just alternate forms or evolutions of older pokemon cuz they’re really good at making pre-existing designs cooler but, so many of the gen 9 newbies just. Feel bare or unfinished. Idk, maybe it’s just me. Like I really wanna like Orthworm, but the eyes kill the entire appeal, and the evolutions of the starters all suck ass, and I love Tadbulb but can’t stand looking at Bellibolt, Palafin’s battle form is hard to look at, Flamigo makes me mad because the design is so uninspired, and I wanna like Glimmora so bad but they animated it to shoot all of its attacks out of its ass (made me put it away in a box because I was so tired of looking at that), and Gimmighoul’s evolution is so ugly despite it being so hard to get that it made me actually mad when I finally evolved it.

Complaining aside, I guess my favorites are between Todsecruel, Spidops, Lokix, Clodsire, Dachsbun, Tadbulb, Farigraf, Scovillain, Slither Wing, Iron Treads, and Miraidon. If I had to pick, probably Todsecruel.

I took some time and translated one of the anecdotes I'd written on here, since people keep putting my german posts through google translate in the notes and it makes my eyes bleed

It's a small story of a situation I got myself into while I was travelling through Prague. It was winter, I was 19, and completely disoriented on my way through eastern Europe. That day I'd made plans to meet some folks for breakfast at a café. But me being me I had somehow managed to type the wrong café into google maps, which sent me marching into the wrong part of town.

I burst into this unassuming little café somewhere in Prague like I was a Roman looking for the last unoccupied village in Galicia, walked through the rows of tables, couldn't find anybody. Opened google maps and promptly realized my mistake.

Unfortunately, by that point I'd caught the eye of the waiter. Some young, skinny guy with a pastel tshirt and a bow tie, looking vaguely like an overwhelmingly gay youtuber straight out of 2016. Good for him honestly.

He came flying in my direction, asking if there was anything he could help me with.

This is the point where I should briefly mention what I looked like at the time, since that somehow manages to make this story so much worse, yet so much better:

For starters I was dressed in a giant winter parka that I had quasi-borrowed from my ex. It was oversized to the point of making me look like the world's saddest emperor penguin. I'd spent the night on a flixbus (because what's new), was sleep deprived to the point of delyrium and wore giant hiking boots. The fact that I also suffer from a condition called "always looking like a 12yr old" certainly wasn't helping. In short, I looked like you could've cast me as Gavroche then and there.

The waiter proceeded, in czech, to ask me- well, something in czech. My czech skills are... lacking, and even that's a euphemism. I replied with all the wit I could muster: "What?? Sorry"

He repeated, now in english: "Hi, can I help you?"

I decided to opt for the one answer that could possibly make me look even more like a lost child.

"No, I'm just looking for my friends!"

Fantastic, stellar job, you babyfaced lunatic. Why not tell him that you'd now like to call your mum to come pick you up now? Jfc.

The waiter had already entered lost-child-emergency mode and actually offered to let me call someone if I needed to. Ah shit. "I can make you some tea!" he added. I got the vague feeling that he was five minutes and one more concerning remark on my part away from calling the authorities on me, so my reply of "ah, no no, I'm perfectly fine!" came out with a wee bit too much panic in my voice.

At that point he asked me what I was doing in Prague to begin with. In his eyes, there was a child standing in his cafe, unable to speak the local language and without his friends. Goddamn you, google maps.

I had travelled to the czech republic for a larp, and I'd rather have perished than explain the concept of larping to a random gay waiter. "Oh, it's very very complicated" I said instead. Holy shit, can you act less like a potential human trafficking victim, I fucking beg you?? Thanks in advance.

By this point the waiter was even more concerned, if possible. I thanked him several times (I must've seemed so composed and relaxed) and promptly booked it back out onto the street. Average Wednesday

Minecraft Wizard Island Project Attempt Two

Well, started a new world since previous one got corrupted on hard drive. But hey! That's just fine.

Okay, since we're starting from the beginning, I just want to work on my starter area before we get to Wizard Island. And the spawn I got wasn't bad at all. Spawned next to a mesa, got myself some tools and armour, and headed out to find a spot to settle.

Some notable things I found, was a jungle near spawn, a savannah, a ruined portal (Which came in at the right time when I was starving. It had golden carrots, thank Merlin), and a savannah village. Which was where I decided to settle to have access to trades and an iron farm.

And also the view was nice, and I could make a cute little starter village/town thing.

I settled in, but uh this villager slept in my bed :/

I did tame two wolves and got a baby wolf out of them, I am open to suggestions for names. Also I got them wolf armour because I don't want them dying on me 3:

After settling in, setting up temp storage and stuff. I scouted the area and found an outpost. Went and looted it. Not much. But other than that made good progress and found the starter base location.

The plan for now is to bulldoze the village, make a new one, and make an iron farm. After that, build my home and simple storage.

NEW THEME YES!! I've probably been due for one for a while, honestly, but when I saw Rachel Zegler as Lucy Grey Baird I was just like, yes (😅). Anyway, I'm glad you like it!!

And yes, I would be more than happy to tell you about my new babe! Here goes:

So, for starters, her name is Hayashi Lark and she's a Sanji ship, because I do love that gruff kickass cook. A lark, if you didn't know, is a bird that's pretty well-known for its beautiful song, but also for the fact that they don't sing while in captivity. As you may imagine, there is some symbolism going on with the name here.

Lark has been a singer employed by the World Government since she was very young - her parents were both governors of a relatively large village, and when their daughter began to show serious talent with singing from a very young age, they immediately put her in vocal lessons and lessons for various different instruments, and, when they deemed her trained enough, began to trot her out to sing at public events and at get-togethers with other Government officials. When Lark was nine, her parents both died from a bad fever that had ravaged the whole village, and since she had no other family to take her in, she was given over to the care of the World Government, and several officials remembered her performing at Government dinners and were like, "You know what? Let's turn this little nine-year-old girl into a showpony!".

And so it goes - from the age of nine, Lark is shoved into pretty dresses and shipped all across the several oceans, performing at Marine bases to boost morale. Most of the songs she sings are boring and mainly focused on how brave and just all Marines are, propaganda songs written by the Government itself, but she also writes her own songs, though most of them are much too focused on freedom and rebellion for her to be allowed to sing them onstage. She's also fascinated with pirate songs and sea shanties, the kind Marines would never be allowed to sing; whenever she can escape her handlers, she'll go looking for any place in a given village she thinks might have information on them and writes down whatever lyrics and notes she can find, saving them in a beat-up notebook that she takes with her everywhere. She wants nothing more than to escape the life of borderline captivity that she's been living and learn to play and sing as many pirate songs as she can, and maybe even write some of her own, but for a very long time that feels impossible.

And this, as you may have suspected, is where Luffy and company come in. In between Syrup Village and Baratie, they dock at the village Lark is currently performing in to pick up some extra supplies and stop to see her show in the town square. They're all really taken with her voice and presence onstage, but Luffy, being Luffy, can tell that she doesn't actually want to be doing any of this, and approaches her to offer her a place on the crew, or at least to help her get away from the Government and take her someplace else. Lark immediately accepts the place on the Straw Hats - after all, what better way to learn more pirate songs that to be on an actual pirate crew? - and with some moderate difficulty, they manage to collect the few belongings Lark wants to take with her, including her notebook and guitar, and escape on the Straw Hats' ship.

Now, when they get to Baratie and Luffy winds up being taken as a chore boy, Lark offers to pay off their dinner debt by doing a show at the restaurant. Zeff doesn't want a singer in his place, but agrees to let Lark sing one song in exchange for a month off of Luffy's sentence. Lark sings one of the only pirate songs she knows in full, actually managing to quiet the whole restaurant full of rowdy pirates with her voice, and Sanji takes one look at her while she's singing and goes, Oh, I'm in love. And though finding the All Blue is still Sanji's dream and main motivation, he will admit that some part of the reason he left Baratie with the crew was wanting to get to know Lark better.

Aaaand that's about all I have for her so far!! It might be a bit before I have a proper intro post for her, but if anyone wants to ask me more questions in the meantime, feel free!!

Pokémon Azran Legends AU: Azran Form Starters

Some stuff from my AO3 (I’m too lazy to post a direct link so feel free to go find it yourself) that revolves around a Professor Layton/Pokémon crossover and acts as a sort of sequel to Legends Arceus/Retelling of Azran Legacy.

The major gimmick for this crossover is a new form of Pokémon known as Azran Form Pokémon. They are identical to regional forms in almost every way except for being unique to very specific areas spread throughout the world.

The Player (Oscar/Orla) start out on their journey to aid a now elderly Professor Laventon on his latest research topic, a joint venture study with Professor Desmond Sycamore to uncover the truths behind a lost ancient civilization and strange forms of Pokémon that appear to have some sort of connection to it (This story is divided into two major Acts, which I will explain in a future post. Same goes for the rivals mentioned below)

Similarly to PLA, the protagonists will receive a starter Pokémon based on already existing starter Pokémon from other regions whom all will gain a new form for their final stages.

The player’s rivals (Oscar/Orla and Willow Sycamore*) will receive the two that aren’t chosen, however the player will be able to obtain these two from Laventon after the end of Act 1 of the main story.

Those Pokémon being:

Chespin, Popplio, and Charmander

Azran Chesnaught

Typing: Grass/Ice

Abilities: Overgrow/Overcoat (Hidden)

Info: Native to the cold mountainous lands of a currently unnamed region around a town known as Froenborg (I may change this in the future since we don’t have a region currently based on Germany/Austria/Central Europe) this form of Chesnaught has evolved to the colder climates it calls home thanks to a thick layer of fur that now covers most of its body which act as an insulator in tandem to its already existing armor-like shell to trap in body heat and keep itself warm.

These hairs also act as a defense mechanism, as when the Pokémon feels threatened it will flex these hairs to make them into sharp points.

Azran Chesnaught are believed to live together in groups a lot like humans do. They are said to build their homes out of snow high up in the mountains in what resemble “igloo villages”.

While rather shy, these Pokémon are said to be rather compassionate as reported by hikers who have gotten lost in snowstorms, nursing those who are close to freezing back to full health before returning them to any nearby settlements.

Links with the Azran/Azran Ruins:

Some Azran artifacts recovered from the area have revealed mentions of strange creatures simply referred to as “Snow Giants”.

It’s believed that relationships between the two were relatively peaceful as some of the translated records mention these creatures being gentle and even willing at lending a hand.

Azran Chesnaught have also been sighted within the ice caves around the Froenborg area. Oftentimes when this has been the case, these Pokémon have also been seen carrying around what appears to be scraps, suggesting some sort of foraging behavior.

For what and why these Pokémon do it is currently unknown.

(Inspirations: Primarily the Yeti, a more minor one would be the older Germanic tribes (barbarians))

Azran Primarina

Typing: Water/Ghost

Abilities: Torrent/Serene Grace (Hidden)

Info: A hauntingly mysterious form of the Pokémon Primarina that is native to a series of small islands and ruins off the coast of the Galar region. Famed and feared for their ghostly appearance and equally creepy singing voice that many describe as sounding like that of a the spirit of a ghostly woman or an opera singer. It is also known these Pokémon are known to gather in large groups and sing in rather well coordinated manners, usually late at night.

Known as the “Specters of the Sea”, Azran Primarina have a long history with superstitious amongst sailors from the Galar Region. One legend goes that if you are out at sea and hear one of these Pokémon sing, then you will soon face a terrible tragedy as it’s believed they are singing you a funeral dirge. However, many of these claims are most likely false and just mere rumors.

It is rather rare that these Pokémon show aggression, however not long back was an incident of the coast of Galar that had them riled up a bit with the local Lycanroc and Sharpedo populations acting abnormal. Not long after the incident, a strange set of ruins were discovered that as of recently, are under Targent control.

Links with the Azran/Azran Ruins:

Many stories tie this Pokémon to a lesser told version of the old legend regarding the lost city of Ambrosia. This version of the story adds a bit more detail but ends in a few different ways. Particular there are two major endings most people who know this version tend to cite.

One of theses endings to the legend goes that when the people drank the Elixir of Life, they all turned into Pokémon. This ending of the alternate version isn’t as widely spread as the other one.

The other ending goes that the people of Ambrosia, after searching far and wide. Even attempting to get help from a merciful King of a nearby land with untold powers by presenting them with a terrible menace that tormented their civilization for years, but alas they could not do much. But in the end, the people failed to create the elixir. Instead they turned to the one thing besides music that the Queen adored: The local Pokémon. It was said they taught the Primarina the song they sing to this very day, a song they sing in her honor and in memory to the people of Ambrosia.

It’s also said that this song may hold a key to another secret about Ambrosia still yet to be discovered.

Azran Charizard

Typing: Fire/Ground

Abilities: Blaze/Huge Power (Hidden)

Info: A much more aggressive and terrestrial form of Charizard native to the surrounding desert regions of Monte d’Or. Unlike it’s skyborn counterparts, these Charizard have adapted entirely to life on the rugged terrain as it lacks wings, instead making up for its lack of flight with its much more developed arms and legs that make them incredible climbers.

While primarily quadrupedal, they are capable of walking on both four and two legs.

This form of Charizard is solitary and extremely territorial. They primarily live underground in caves or more commonly, burrows they dig out themselves.

Because of their aggressive nature, they are known to pick fights with any Pokémon that crosses their path, rather the foe be weak or strong. Azran Charizard attack with their raw strength and scorching flames by causing tremors and fiery eruptions beneath the very ground their opponents stand on.

So far, Azran Charizard is not known to be capable of undergoing any sort of form change in battle.

Connection with the Azran/Azran Ruins:

Not a lot of direct connections have been made between this form of Charizard and the Azran civilization, however records have been recovered from dig sites in the area (Mostly by that of Targent) have brought up mentions of some sort of ancient monster that terrorized a possible Azran settlement before being driven away.

The description of the creature appears to line up rather close to that of an Azran Charizard, though many researchers often confused it with another figure known simply as “The Bright Light” (We’ll get into more depth on this one much later, but this one is pretty important to this AU’s lore) whom has been referenced in carvings at quite a few other Azran sites spread across the world.

This has lead to a theory by some Pokémon experts that this form of Charizard could be a much more primitive counterpart compared to the one that most trainers are familiar with

I absolutely loved your dialogue you presented with me, you have such a way with words, it’s honestly amazing. I do have some more questions 😂 as I stated before my story is set in three Era’s. My last ask was mainly about my villain, Alice Howe. When she’s on the run after she flees her town she ends up meeting a man who is immortal. Patrick O’connel. His story is truly amazing. He was born during the 13th century in a thriving sea side village looked after by the barons of Wharram Percy (that’s an actual medieval village in Yorkshire England. I had to do a lot of research) he was actually born as Patrick Lannister. His mother was the youngest daughter of the Baron of the village, but as she was young and had him out of wedlock the baron’s family decided he would be seen as a abomination. So Patrick was given a merciful hand of by his uncle (he’s vastly important) he gave Patrick to a a barren family in the village. They were blacksmiths. They raised Patrick as their own and loved him greatly. Patrick was always a unique child very observant and keen on noticing small details. Now his uncle, brother to the new Baron, (Perceus, the uncle that gave Patrick a new life) Markus, the second boy of Robert De Percy, whose daughter Joan is a Patrick’s mother. Markus’s character has always been very selfish, he’s grown up and has had everything given to him, he’s selfish and vain. He decides that he’s going to kill his brother, by any way he can so he can become Baron of the village. On his travels he meets a man by the side of the river. The man, is death. Death offers him eternal glory for the price of his soul. So he takes it. Death is cunning and curses Markus with a horrible curse. Immortality. Changing him into what we call a vampire. My vampires are slightly different to normal vampires in fiction and tv shows, I would explain more but I have way more to explain. I hope this is not a bore😂 Markus becomes a vampire and ends up changing other people, (his close companions who are just as evil as him) and he raids the village. Patrick being now 15 and sharp with a sword was brought to the manor and given a job as the kings guard. He has no inclination of his parentage, other than the Baron seems to favor him. Markus ends up attacking his brother. Patrick defends him. Which has a lot of meaning in the prophecy. Patrick later on acts as a mentor and a guide to Alice he teaches her about her powers. As when Markus bites him he turns into a vampire and receives the power of precognition. So he is able to know things that are coming. He teaches Alice (she betrays him. It’s something he knows will happen but in Order for him to find the true girl in the prophecy is must happen). My first question is, I was going to write a small fable if you will describing Markus and how death cunningly cheated him, thus making the origin of vampires known. It was going to be something discussed with the hero much as Alice was in my last ask. I don’t want it to be long, as my story is already well over 40 chapters. Do you have any advice on how you would shorten it? Or condense it? Any dialogue that could tell it in a short couple of paragraphs?

My second question is I have been rewriting the scene about Patrick’s origin story. The reason why Patrick is so valuable is because his daughter, who he has years and years into the next century is the Hero’s love interest. And she is the hero’s protector stated in the prophecy. So it’s vital I get this right. I’ve written this more times than I can count and the ending products I am not happy with. The origin story starts with Patrick’s birth and the story behind it. How he was given away, do you have any scene starters you could share? Dialogue. I am willing for anything. ❤️❤️ thank you!

My main suggestion is that I think this would work better if it wasn’t a piece of dialogue. So, what you could do, is a type of cut away situation. In book format it could look like a different type of paper, like a scroll or something, and you read it like the character presumedly is. Alternatively, you start the conversation, and the person who has the information pulls out a book—and you cut to the next chapter.

Literally “*slightly ominous dialogue*” and they opened the book.

And then the next chapter is very fable folk tale like. Write it like a fairytale, and then when we get to the next chapter, have the hero ask clarifying questions or make commentary. That way it isn’t a conversation, but it still feels like the character got the information like we did. You can do the same for Patrick, OR, if his daughter knows his backstory, she can tell the hero it, and make it very fable ish. Since you’re swapping between timelines, a “once upon a time” or “a very long time a go, in a very far away place, a child named Patrick Lannister was born, and everything seemed to go rather strange from there.” For this one you don’t have to do a cut away chapter, you could do story descriptor of Patrick, line break, comment from hero, line break, story of Patrick. You can, alternatively, combine the story of Patrick and Markus into one “fable”.

I don’t have much in the way of dialogue, simply because I don’t really know how these characters would interact, but I think reading some fables and such would really benefit you. The more different you make it from the tone of the novel, the easier it is to digest without making it an info dump in the middle of the book. I hope that helps! OK THEN let's start w the basics as always! :D hop like marnie is one of the three rivals protagonist has in swsh but unlike marnie he's the main rival! u probably know abt main rivals in pokemon games yes u do 👍👍 and if u don't. it's just the rival that is more important. ofc there's only been main rivals since like. xy i think? bc earlier there was only like one rival or maybe two. i think it was in uno a actually ANYWAYS i'm just boring u rn so i'll move on fkhdjdk SO as i said hop is protagonist's main rival and BOOM his brother is the champion of the region. yup just like that. he's called leon btw but this ain't abt him 😒😒 AHEM SO hop and protagonist too live in the first town in the game called postwick! they're literally the only people who live there. which is pretty funny considering there's literally another village like. 20 meters away but wtv pokemon can do wtv they want dkhfjd i just realized that if i tell u EVERYTHING abt hop this won't be an essay but a research work so i'll try and stay brief in the least important parts! OK SO protagonist's seeing a match between leon and his rival aka dragon type gym leader raihan and he comes over saying leon's gonna arrive soon so u both go out BUT just outside protagonist's house there's this fence that leads to a very creepy forest called slumbering weald and oh no! a wooloo (aka sheep pokemon) is using tackle against it! obviously it's bound to open at some point BUT that comes later 👍👍 SO leon arrives gives protagonist and hop a starter and that's when hop brings up the gym challenge! u see unlike other regions in galar u need someone important from the league to recommend u so u can participate in the gym challenge and Yes obviously leon's gonna recommend u BUT NOT YET!!!!!!! after that it's made clear that hop rlly wants to defeat leon and become the new champion but um. if u have basic pokemon knowledge u know that protagonist ALWAYS becomes the champion. and in this game specifically all the rivals want to be champions so the protagonist rlly does shatter their dreams ^^; but we don't talk abt that HAHA OK u have ur first battle w hop and just after that the wooloo opens the fence and enters the slumbering weald! and protagonist and hop don't think abt the risk of going in there bc they're heroic and stupid sighs. so they enter and there's a lot of fog and OH MY GOD IS THAT THE LEGENDARY DOG FROM THE COVER OF THE GAME yes it is! depending on the game u've chosen either zacian or zamazenta appear BUT in their normal forms w/o the sword and shield respectively! the fog gets horrible and protagonist and hop faint and oh no it's the end! but no bc leon exists and he saves them AND the wooloo 🙄🙄 ok i might have a bit of hatred towards leon BUT THIS AIN'T ABT HIM ANYWAYS protagonist gets a pokedex, fights hop and they get the recommendation from leon and so u leave the village to go to the opening ceremony in motostoke! u arrive there and reach the fire type gym to get ur league number and participate in the gym challenge and um. w-well. remember how i said this was the time when protagonist met marnie? but u didn't have to talk to her right then if u didn't want to? well u see i also said that's when protagonist meets me/bede and this time it is mandatory to interact. kind of. i don't think that was interacting ANYWAYS let's just say me and hop don't rlly get along very well during the gym challenge ^^; i'll have to talk abt The Thing later....... BUT THAT'S LATER OK? OK THAT'S SETTLED THEN ANYWAYS protagonist goes to the opening ceremony and then battles hop and he gives the protagonist.......

BUT BEFORE THEY START there's this dialogue w hop.......

WHAT IS WRONG W HIM i hate him (i'm in love w him) ANYWAYS protagonists defeats him and just like that breaks hop's dreams :') so basically the only character his age that doesn't hurt him at some point is marnie! way to go my girl ur the best 🫶🫶 but yeah some stuff after that happen and when protagonist goes to fight leon the chairman goes BAM and he wakes up this alien pokemon w all the wishing starts he's collected and everything goes a bit insane BUT during the story (i haven't mentioned it bc this wld end up being too long altho this is already horribly long but too late now fkdhjdjs) protagonist and hop learn abt the story abt galar and oh! there's this two heroes w zacian and zamazenta! and so they both go back to the slumbering weald get the rusted sword and shield to see if they can summon them and so they go to hammerlocke where the chairman is defeat him and then go fight the alien pokemon aka eternatus bc leon fainted while trying to catch it w a pokeball. who tf tries to catch such a powerful pokemon w a POKEBALL. but anyways zacian and zamazenta appear but they look cooler thanks to the rusted sword and shield and they defeat eternatus and three days pass protagonist defeats leon and becomes the champion OK so after that everything goes back to normal but now hop feels like he's a burden to everyone bc everyone's become super cool things and all that but at the end of the post game he catches zacian or zamazenta depending on the game and becomes the assistant professor!! so after all this u get that he's very cheery yet insecure. which is strangely like me. but that's NEVER happening ok? ok NOW random facts. i think i've given u all the possible random facts EXCEPT for the league number one! his league number can be read as hiyaku in japanese which means jump and well. that makes a lot of sense fkdhjfjs OH ALSO

You have a Harvest Moon au? 👀 I was gonna ask about FaW/Jumping The Rail but the Harvest Moon part captured my attention (and I don't want to bug you with too many questions). What characters is it centered around and do you have a basic plot/idea for it yet?

Never feel bad about bugging me with questions. I love opening Tumblr and seeing I have messages, especially when they're from people I know. It's very exciting to talk to people (esp my friends) about the nonsense in my brain and I would love to do it more 😂 ask all the questions you want, you might stir something up that I feel the need to put down somewhere.

ANYWAY. PHM. It's centered around the young (13-ish) Akari who comes to Jubilife Village (possible a little subset-like area of Jubilife City, like. Several miles out of the city. Not easily walked to. Middle of nowhere pokemon style.) needing a place to stay. Mayor Kamado leads her to a decrepit, rundown farm that she is allowed to stay on and live on with the caveat that she is required to improve upon it. If she hasn't improved upon it in a year, she gets the boot. (She is a child who doesn't understand contracts, property law, etc, and he is desperately clinging to a greatness the village hasn't seen in a century). Akari agrees to this and lives out her life harvest moon-like. I've focused on a more pokemon-esque version of it where she gets the Hisuian starters in various ways and they help her on the farm. She's also got a ponyta named Dolly who is ✨spicy✨

Elesa moves in during Akari's first year and the become friendly. She's absolutely confused by this grubby little dirt urchin who wanders up to her clothing store (formerly run by Anthe, who sold it to Elesa so she could retire) and just offers her a massive bag of coin in exchange for new clothes. Elesa lays claim to her as a cute niece and makes her SO MUCH farmer chic clothing. (Side note- Cyllene doubles as law enforcement (of a sort, there's really no crime in Jubilife Village because... there's no one really living in Jubilife Village!) as well as Kamado's aid with the town. Elesa has a crush on Cyllene, which is required, but Cyllene is highly stressed and quite expressionless, and Elesa is often too nervous to really do much more than offer to make her custom clothes as a way of flirting, which Cyllene honestly takes as her just being nice... this is my own ridiculous little ship that I love.) Akari thinks Elesa is funny and enjoys spending time with her, though she does do a lot of teasing her about her crush.

Laventon and Rei double as livestock owners and the local vet (and vet tech). Rei is a couple years older than Akari and deeply protective of this Tiny Baby in the universal way of "oh my god this person is just barely younger than me, they're a baby I must protect". We all have those moments. I know it. You know it. Rei is always trying to give Akari free stuff that she insists on paying for. Laventon, Rei's father (adopted or otherwise, idk), also gives her free stuff but more subtly. Taking care of the animals. Giving her advice on the best food. Telling her they "just" got a certain food in and asking her to use it and give him her opinion.

There's ALSO a train that runs nearby. It used to run through the town, and actually passes by Akari's farm, but "improvements" and speed had it passing by instead. Think of how Route 66 used to be the main thoroughfare across the country until bypasses were put in- that's essentially the "station" in Jubilife. Akari always waves at the train (to which she gets a responding horn, ALWAYS to her delight) and is somewhat beset upon by Ingo and Emmet one day, who came to visit Elesa and were curious about the girl on the farm. Again, they immediately take her under their wing, and they delight in both picking on her and making her take care of herself. Akari is terrible at taking care of herself and frequently faints due to overexertion (Elesa, Passelle(?), and Cyllene hate this but are unable to convince her to take breaks, drink water, and eat better because Akari is afraid she'll be thrown out if Kamado thinks she isn't working hard enough and won't listen to them tell her thats not how it works. 13 year olds!!!) and scares the twins one day as they find her passed out in the fields after her pokemon sought their attention while the train passed by. They manage to convince enough people that adding Jubilife Village to their stop (or a different stop) would be beneficial for everyone and end up somewhat taking over that route. It means they see Elesa every day (win! Beties reunited!), get to ensure Akari is taking care of herself, and get to give their pokemon (especially the large ones) plenty of room to roam. The subway bosses AND the former gym leader being in one spot also makes the village a draw for battlers.

Akari hates her house and doesn't put any work into it. It's her own little rebellion against Kamado. She'll improve the farmland and the stable and the barn and the cool but the house? FUCK that house. (Everyone hates that she literally STILL SLEEPS IN THAT FALLING APART FUCKING HOUSE.)

It's another of my silly self indulgences that I need to revisit 😂 especially since the comic of Ingo and Emmet being dared to adopt Akari by Akari has reached 100 notes and I said I'd redraw it if that happened fksbsjs

I’ll try organizing as good as I can, but i will make no promises. I also don’t know much about anything past the last vanilla kingdom stage, so I won’t be modifying that all that much of that

I’m gonna name this au ‘DE was right, actually(almost)’ so I can stop vaguely referring to it lol.

Separating this stuff from the actual content because it’s really fucking long.

Buckle up besties, you’re about to get such a big lore dump that you’ll get bored a 1/4th of the way through!!

1. Cookies of darkness

- white lily cookie still turns into dark enchantress cookie+she still adopts red velvet

- dark enchantress is not ‘evil’. She does still want to kill the witches and rewrite some pretty major things, of course, but she isn’t unnecessarily cruel like she is in canon. She’s actually a good mom, for starters

- some of her methods are a little bit odd/abstract when it comes to dealing with those who oppose her, and if it calls for it she still does kill people. It isn’t her first solution though, she is all about compromises

- a lot of small villages(like black raisin cookie’s) are actually on dark enchantress’s side! The wastelands that surround the CoD’s castle have quite a few villages among them, and therefore they have a symbiotic relationship (the cod help with food and protection, the villages alert dark enchantress of any incoming attacks+watch over the cake hounds)

- these villages used to be a part of the other kingdoms, however after dark enchantress occupied that land the kingdoms cut off supplies/couriers/etc as a precaution. Mostly on the assumption that they would be killed within a week of the new occupation. Obviously this was not very good for keeping the loyalty of the villages.

- the face off between DE and the ancients still happens in pretty much the same way. She is still banished and pure vanilla still gets fucked up, along with whatever happened to the other ancients.

- instead of DE being mostly unreachable, however, she is more of a spirit type entity. She can still be talked with in places where spiritual energy is strong, or with the right spells. One of these places is the basement of her castle, which is how red velvet gets some good ol parenting while she is gone, and is also how pomegranate talks with her.

- red velvet does still get raised by DE! Just not as thoroughly as a normal kid would. A lot of basic survival lessons like how to barter, how to interact with others, etc, he learns by himself or from sympathetic villagers. He is a little kid with no apparent guardian after all.

- yes villagers have tried to adopt him. Whenever they brought it up with him he just shrugged and said no thanks. So instead they just made sure he always had enough food and shelter when he came to town.

- as an adult, he welcomed pomegranate(the first outsider CoD) into the ranks. Adjusting to the new way of life was hard for both of them, but after some trial and error they found out what worked. Pomegranate also helped get the castle back to the state it was before DE was banished(it was all very dusty and unused, seeing as RV lives over by the tower of chaos+does not know how to clean anything that tedious and ornate)

- Dark Choco still has the Strawberry Jam Sword. He still gets banished, which is how he joins the CoD. Pomegranate doesn’t harass him every time he shows his face, though, and instead actually tries to help him get rid of the curse.

- they are completely unsuccessful till licorice comes along, seeing as he is a powerful wizard that knows a lot about curses and undead.

- when they do remove the curse, DC switches to a more slim blade that has been enchanted by licorice himself, which makes it a curse repelling ward as well as a sick ass weapon.

- licorice does not join the CoD for recognition for his abilities. He isn’t very well known, but nobody in his family ever was. He just finds DE’s mission to be an honorable one, and thought it would be good to have the newest blood in such a powerful line of wizards on the side of the dark.

- licorice comes from a family of cookies in the dark cacaoian mountains that are all powerful wizards. Many people that have heard of them assume them to be vampires, and as such have tried to purge them from the land. Seeing as they’re all just magic spider people that don’t get out much, that did not do anything. His family lives in an old abandoned temple to a forgotten god, which they keep up and running.

- The god is one of the patrons of their family because of this, and gives them the gift of forgotten knowledge from ages past.

- poison mushroom. Where did he come from? Who knows. One day they just appeared in the castle, and so licorice decided he’d take care of them. It became more of a group effort within a whopping three days, but PM still only ever calls licorice dad

- naturally, a big part of teaching PM things was not offering the poisonous shroomies to his friends. Once they came up with an alternative for him to grow that was not poisonous, he laid off on the deadly ones. He still does offer them to strangers though.

- PM only ever calls crepe by name (which is still rare), everyone else only gets called by whatever nickname he has assigned them. Everyone else just goes along with it.

- all of the kid CoDs(PM, SC, etc.) are around 15-16 when they meet gingerbrave and friends. If they fight canonically they will be above 15, as a rule. Literal Children should not go to war

- crepe still does fight gingerbrave and co., and they still lose. GB invites them into the kingdom, which they accept.

- the first month or so after they woke up they were alone. Then, they met a strange spectral cookie(DE) that was very nice to them, and offered to give them some new friends. Obviously crepe said yes. So DE told them to keep an eye out for a red cookie with a big saw and blue eyes. This is how they were incorporated into the CoD.

- red velvet took care of them for the most part, seeing as he was one of the only ones who could get up to the vanilla kingdom without the main lift. When they finally went to the castle, everyone immediately decided they were part of the family and adopted them.

- because of this they were also let in on battle plans and the like, which is why, after they fight GB, they ‘join the good side’. This is really just so the CoD can get intel directly from an eyewitness without being suspicious. Also because crepe can work on their machines a lot more there which is a nice bonus.

- pastry cookie’s whole deal has already been mentioned in a previous post, which I will link at the end of this post, but here’s a summary.

- she left the order after learning the truth, bounced around for a little bit, then went back to the cake tower to join the CoD. She now works as a spy along with crepe, though she does more work abroad than specifically at GB’s kingdom. She also changed her name to lavender.

- Madeleine cookie also goes to the dark side! He has had doubts about how evil the CoD’s cause actually is, but after getting the command from The Divine to join the darkness, he goes about doing just that. Turns out his doubts were correct, they are just trying to do the right thing.

- Madeleine is, for all intents and purposes, the CoD’s secret weapon. He still lives in the kingdom, he still fights on their side, etc. his job is to just keep the kingdom goers out of the way of the CoD. He will be one of the ones that, at the final battle, comes from the opposite side and legitimately scares the shit out of everyone.

- he also has wings n stuff which only the CoD know about. Why? Just cause. Another thing to help them get the drop on their enemies.

- - -

2. Gingerbrave’s kingdom

- gingerbrave is technically not the king. He just makes sure everyone has everything handled, like a steward of sorts. There is no true king, after all.

- the kingdom is kind of leaderless, all things considered. When a decision for the kingdom needs to be made, at least 2 representative cookies relating to the discussion will be invited, and a council will be held. Everyone there will then vote on it, and a desicion will be made based on the results.

- most in game cookies that don’t live elsewhere live in Gingerbrave’s kingdom. Cookies like espresso would be invited for magical related problems, blackberry would be invited for supernatural problems, etc.

- there are many more denizens that live in the kingdom than are actively collectible In game. Obviously, there has got to be some normal guys in there, and there are always at least 4 normal cookie reps for each discussion.

- as far as GB is concerned, the CoD are almost exactly how they are in canon. A barely held together group of lackeys, with perhaps a little bit more of a bond to DE than canon. He doesn’t quite understand DE’s true plan, which is why he opposes her so much.

- GB and co. still do not have any intent to kill, however some of the more volatile or morally grey cookies certainly do not mind it. This has led to many close calls on both sides of the war, and a few deaths.

- - -

3. The ancient’s kingdoms + religion

- many of the other kingdoms, such as the creme republic, are either neutral or in opposition to DE for much the same reason. All of the kingdoms that are ruled by the ancients will attack most known members on sight, making traveling a very trivial matter if you work on the side of the dark.

- there are many religious sects that worship different deities. Most are recognized by at least one or two kingdoms, however more cult oriented sects(like the st pastry order) are largely undetected by most kingdoms.

- this includes more chaotically aligned deities(think daedra, from the elder scrolls). Some of the truly evil deity’s followers are openly outlawed, for obvious reasons(cannibalism is not good, neither is blood sacrifice)

- vampirism is considered to be the only exception, as it is a common enough ailment in places like the hollyberry kingdom, and has no non-lethal cures. Because of this there are many places that people donate blood to for vampires so they don’t starve.

- the vanilla kingdom is under heavy reconstruction, and thus has to limit how many people can enter the kingdom at a time. This is due to the structural integrity of the floating islands being greatly reduced out of lack of use. Many camps have been made outside the city for immigrants, until the islands can be stabilized once more.

That is all for right now! A little lacking on some world development, but a lot has not changed outside of the CoD. I also cannot get the CoD out of my head long enough to develop much else lol

Here's my new (not really new but only just named) self-insert OC, ElegantOrNot! (I have a personal lore reason for this character not having the exact same name as me which I can elaborate on if asked later since it has to do with more than just Hermitcitizen stuff...)

She first appeared during the lag spike caused by the massive chorus plant at the HCBBS being broken, as that was the moment she decided she wanted to be part of this world she had watched and grown to love, and she worked at the MooPop Cafe in Aque Town by day and in the Sewer Cats by night, chorus fruit is her favourite whether it's cooked or not, in season 8 she lived near Boatem but moved to Joe and Cleo's castle when the Moon Big insanity started getting too weird even for her, and in season 9 when the crossover happened she went through the Rift and finally realised she still has some Watcher powers because one of the worlds she often dreams about is Empires, and she's working on learning to teleport in her sleep to world hop in her dreams like Geminitay does! (So maybe also an Empires "citizen" eventually?) (This is also related to how she got to the snapshot Moon Big world but that might be a longer story idk yet.)

She loves reading random books or otherwise hanging out in the nether hub, and also sometimes goes to Grumbot's cave recently, having noticed how the hermits seem to have stopped asking him for ideas after the Rift closed and wondering if she should give him diamonds in case he's bored but also scared of having to do anything random for a robot that might probably be some form of villain...

When she's not in the nether or snooping in someone's base, she's usually found somewhere in the starter village or shopping district. So basically anywhere?

Sorry guys, I am away from the computer hosting the rom for my town :(

...I know, I know, I'm sorry Eunice. I still wanted to write a blog post, even if it isn't about my village. Keep reading for some Animal Crossing nerd rambles.

Today, I thought I'd post some facts about the starter villagers currently residing in my town. I don't know everything about them yet, and I'd like to study them and share the information with you. That way, we all can leave with a better understanding of who they are. Also, it'd be fun and give me an excuse to write a blog post.

All of the information is probably from the Animal Crossing Wiki, so thanks to the people over there. Also, most of the info is in relation to their versions from City Folk, as this blog is centered around my City Folk town.

We are going to start with...

1. Pippy

Pippy in English, or ロッタ in Japanese (meaning Lotta), is a peppy rabbit. Pippy, who is peppy!

She's been in the series since どうぶつの森 (Dōbutsu no Mori, or Animal Forest) so she's an OG! She was born June 14th, and her phrase is 'li'l hare.'

Some trivia from the wiki states that her birthday coincided with the European release of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which I think is pretty cool.

Also, she wants to be a superhero! How cute :)

2. Bud

Bud in English or グラさん in Japanese (meaning Gura-san, or Gra) has been around since どうぶつの森＋(Dōbutsu no Mori+, or Animal Forest+). He was born August 8th, and his phrase (in City Folk) is "maaan."

He's a little lion guy, with the personality trait of a jock, whose appearance and catchphrase give that of a surfer dude. The interior of his house in City Folk (and several games) is even a beach.

I'm not personally that much of a surfer guy vibe, but he's been pretty nice to me so far, so I do not dislike him. Though, he does need to get rid of the goatee.

3. Rolf

"I could eat you for lunch, you know" - Rolf

Oh Rolf, what is there to say about Rolf? I think that quote says everything there is to say about him. Suffice to say, we have not gotten along very well (even for the two days I've known him.)

Rolf in English or チョモラン in Japanese (Chomoran), is a cranky tiger evil man who was born August 22nd, and has the very fitting catchphrase of "grrrolf." He's been haunting our worlds since どうぶつの森 (Dōbutsu no Mori, or Animal Forest).

This tiger man threatened to beat me up the first time I met him, so I very much do not like him. But hey, maybe (if he's nicer) I'll come around.

4. Tipper

Tipper in English or まきば in Japanese (Makiba) is a snooty cow. She was born on August 25th, and came around in Animal Crossing: Wild World. Her phrase is 'pushy.'

I shockingly do not know a lot about her. I'm not always a fan of snooty villagers, though so far she's been super nice and adorable to me in my town, I hope we get to know each other more. :)

5. Mitzi

Mitzi in English, or マール in Japanese (Māru) is a normal cat who's been around since どうぶつの森 (Dōbutsu no Mori, or Animal Forest).

When I say Mitzi is an OG, I mean she's an OG. She has been on the cover of Animal Crossing...

...she was in an icon for Pocket Camp...

...and was on a screenshot on the back of the City Folk case (which is in relation to the game we are playing!)

Mitzi is so much of an og, she even appears on the cover of K.K Parade, and is in the Animal Crossing themed track for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Suffice it to say, Mitzi has been around the block, and I don't blame Nintendo! She seems to be a bit of a fan favorite. She's been really friendly to me, so I'm a bit of a fan too. :)

Some cool trivia, is that she was also the first girl villager. Amazing!

6. Walker

Walker in English or ベン in Japanese (Ben) is a lazy dog. He first appeared in どうぶつの森ｅ＋(Dōbutsu no Mori e+ or Animal Forest e+). His catchphrase is wuh.

Walker first appeared upon the release of どうぶつの森ｅ＋as an e-Card, which came with the game. Which is pretty cool.

His birthday is June 10th, and he has this really funny quote on his wiki page.

Those are all of my starter villagers. Hopefully, this infodump can replace the lack of update today. And, hopefully getting to know my starters can help me get to know them better (and maybe like them more...maybe not with Rolf.)

i feel like its finally time to do this.

after she denied my venmo request today, i am finally ready to discuss what happened between me and gemma. i will include proof to the extent that i am able and will update frequently when i can find a way to get photos of my weirdly hacked (seriously) island.

gemma and i were really close, which is probably why this has ended in so much chaos. we met irl a few times during meetups for witches. despite not seeing each other in person frequently, we were constantly meeting up in our new horizons islands. this is where we formed most of our friendships

the point is, since we are both witches, it gets crazier from here.

tldr: my close friend turned on me and took revenge in a really weird way and i have been begging for compensation, which has not come.

so our friendship started in 2021, last year, in the summer time probably in june. we were both interested in witchcraft and would frequently discuss spells we've worked and actually working on some together for a while. like i said we got close.

for reasons i don't feel need to be disclosed we started having a usual friendship falling out starting at the beginning of october. i noticed some weird vibes coming off of her the more we chatted and the last time we met up in person was when things got extremely dicey. we had an argument about stupid stuff and i left way later than planned, which also upset me. i accidentally left my switch in her apartment and had to literally exit my bus and go back to get it. her text gave me weird vibes but i figured i was just being weird.

everything was fine until i got home. when i turned on my switch to do my animal crossing dailies, things had changed. for starters, it was raining red drops in my town and the rain was causing my villagers pain. like they had no umbrellas, and the rain was making them do the little stressed out blue wiggle reaction. i was a little off-put by this because of course who would expect that, but i persisted.

my town was renamed to DIE SADIE, which isabelle saying so happily was ALSO off-putting. i had mail. it was from "your enemy", which was definitely a letter from gemma, which i managed to take a pic of (my left joycon is badly broken, its a struggle to take pics fast enough):

when i began to walk around, there were graveyard decors everywhere. all of my villagers houses were back to being tents (yes she EVICTED them) and when i talked to them they would just tell me to go away and that they didnt like me anymore. i went to see sheldon because he still had his house intact and this is what he said to me:

i turned it off because i realized where it was gonna go. i have tried to reboot it again it turns itself off. should i try and get a video of it? i havent tried again for fear of actually damaging my switch, so i'm just trying to get a new cartridge, which i venmoed her the funds for and she denied. i have actually felt so spiritually drained from this entire thing and i think its because i told her that it was like my favorite game that she targeted my island.

shes definitely never going to give a shit. but i cant stop giving a shit.

i literally JUST want people to know what she did to show that it was wrong. like she just doesn't give a shit and i really cared about it, so what if it was just a village to me it was my cyberspace. please care GEMMA. it was my only joy. i am scorned but i wont curse you, i liked you too much. thank you for reading if you got this far.

(Yes, I also have a New Leaf town that I just started, but I haven’t made any posts about it because I can’t take any good quality photos of it.) Croque is a starter villager in my NL town and he is one of the coolest villagers I have ever met. He’s hooked me up with some neat furniture and is surprisingly the nicest villager in the town along with one other villager who I will get to later. Maybe I’ll invite him to stay on the new island one of these days if he does leave the NL town.

49. Lucha - Now at this point this was my second to last ticket and I had to think to myself if I really wanted to risk spending the last ticket. I also thought about how funny it would be to have a luchador bird on the island. Sure, I already have two bird-like villagers on my island, but come on. I can already see what kind of shenanigans this guy is going to get into if he moves in. I thought about it long and hard, then I made my decision. Lucha is going to stay on my island for a bit.

So I never found the cranky and snooty villagers that I wanted, but I did end up getting something pretty interesting. We’ll see how it goes.
