#also the fact that both of these characters are women of colour is telling
Text
i just rewatched ‘the woman who fell to earth’ a couple of days ago for the first time since it aired back in 2018 and the more i think about it, the more i like it.
thirteen is the only doctor for whom i feel a tangible, rose-tinted nostalgia. she wasn’t my first doctor, but she was the first doctor i watched live, the first doctor that i spent an actual extended period of time with over the episode rollout. her intro episode has middling parts (as can be expected with most episodes of Who) but there’s also so much good that i really want to highlight.
first of all, there are some really great character dynamics set up here. much more interesting than i remember, tbh. ryan is a guy who loves mechanics but is stuck in a warehouse job he hates, a guy who obviously wants to connect to people, a guy who by the end of the episode has lost both his mother and grandmother in the space of a couple of years and the step-grandfather he didn’t really want is all he has left (minus his absent father). that’s interesting.
yaz has a keen sense of justice and this raw, intense yearning to help people, to do something worthwhile, something more - the way she has chosen to express that is through law enforcement, but it’s not quite giving her the satisfaction she wants. that’s interesting.
graham’s experience with cancer means that he constantly feels like he’s living on borrowed time. meeting grace gave him purpose, gave him family, gave him the will to fight when he fought it was all but over, but now grace is gone. he and ryan aren’t related, but they’re family, and now they’ve got to figure out how to care for each other without the very lynchpin that brought them together. once again with feeling: interesting!
“i’m just a traveller. sometimes i see things that need fixing. i do what i can.” i like that they circle back to the ‘just some guy’ portrayal of the doctor here, both because it’s the one i’m partial to and because it feeds particularly well into the whole ‘the doctor is an unreliable narrator’ aspect, especially in the wake of the increased deification in the moffat era. it's a nice set up, even if it gets completely overhauled circa series 12/13. in fact, having thirteen keep this as a persistent attitude throughout the Timeless Child of it all could have been really effective re: her reticence with her companions and refusal to address or deal with her past.
the scene where thirteen builds her sonic screwdriver might be one of my favourite sequences in nuwho. i love that it’s a hybrid of alien tech and sheffield steel. i also love that they highlight the ‘mad inventor’ side of the doctor here (her teleportation circuit is based around a microwave?) and wish that they had carried it forward more. it would have been the perfect basis for her to bond with ryan over. jodie also pulls off the humour of the episode well, considering the significant shift from moffat dialogue.
i enjoy thirteen's outfit: the vibrancy of it as mirroring her childish excitability, but also as another part of the mask - if i dress all colourful then maybe i can ignore/outrun/masquerade my great capacity for darkness! etc etc. the shopping trip with yaz and ryan is a bit shoe-horned in at the end but it's cute that she finds it in a charity shop. (back in 2018 i bought a t-shirt with a couple of stripes across the chest solely because it remotely resembled the one she wore lol. nerd from a young age, me.) jodie also looks soo hot in capaldi's outfit though so a spin on the traditional suit would also have been appreciated.
some miscellaneous points: i like that she tells Karl off (“you had no right to do that”) right after saving him. i like that she gets it wrong at first and makes it clear that she’s working on the fly. she’s following her instinct, and that instinct is to help people. doctor who has been beautiful before but the cinematography takes such a huge step this era. “it’s been a long time since i bought women’s clothes” i am choosing to believe this is about river thank you and good night.

I know you've all been waiting for this one: Sum of Our Parts (yes I finally got to Meghan Fitzmartin).
The very first thing I'll say: yeah, I see why DC commissioned more stuff from her after getting this and seeing the response. It's a solid opening showing her ability to write Tim.
There were a lot of moving parts that needed to be re-established and tidied up in this story, and I can see the list being worked through:-
Name: being very clear Tim is currently Robin, because since Tynion's 'Tec run ended, his name and costume have been varying by who is writing him with very little consistency.
Tim not going to university: this probably did need a push back on, because Tynion just waved the door open on that again during Joker War.
The fact that Tim and Steph are broken up (sort of essential for the plot being told)
Playing with the themes of moving on from Robin (but in this case using it as a frame to actually be the bait and switch that it's coming out instead)
Bernard is clearly an OC from the ground up who shares a name and hair colour with his previous existence. Which, look, Bernard was a pretty thin character with basically two personality traits (conspiracy theorist/trying really hard to project cool), and it is of course fairly arguable that Bernard was projecting a front at 16 that he no longer needs now he's accepted his identity. But it would be nice to have that conveyed in the text, rather than something you infer to try and connect two characters who are otherwise unalike. Especially given how much of the story is Tim reflecting on himself.
Even a line or two more about how he doesn't feel the need for a front anymore to line up with Tim having revelations. "Tell Tim Drake...he helped me realise my true self. Who I am" is nice enough but it could still use some more acknowledgement of how that changed his personality. It's just this nice parallel that could have helped develop the themes more securely. There's a bunch of possible implications you can read into the story (particularly in terms of how the Dowd parents really ARE characterised lightly as Fanon Drakes, between the polite fronts and implications that Bernard was previously abused at home in this) and this is one of the things that while I don't mind how much of this story Fitzmartin was telling via implication, a few more concrete things confirmed would have helped.
If I were going to make a solid stab of a guess at what sections of Robin Fitzmartin liked/reread in the lead into writing this, I honestly think it was Fabian Nicieza's Robin run (and probably parts of Red Robin). It's just...a lot of the characterisation has some very similar notes to it. Tim's got the same sort of smug confident edge to his internal commentary, the ways his skills are portrayed, and Detective Williams even reminds me quite a bit of Officer Jamie Harper. (I don't think she actually looked back over Willingham).
It's also very much a coming out story, and I do appreciate in that Fitzmartin does try to be delicate about it and doesn't whack you over the head with the bluntest lines possible (I just suffered through that in Infinite Frontier #0 with Alan Scott and good god did I cringe the entire way through the 'yes while you are my biological children and I have indeed been married. to women. I am gay. Listen to me come out.'), the amount of implied themes she levels through it is still substantial. It could have used slightly more focus on the actual underlying mystery.
I can also see the start of the situation where the story needs to decide whether Bernard Knows or Doesn't Know. Because both states would allow for situations with a lot of drama (and potentially identity shenanigans which are the best shenanigans), but just having it as sort of vacillating in the middle as something that doesn't need to be investigated? It's leaving a lot of potential storytelling on the floor that could instead be used to send Tim through the wringer. (Also Tim wow half of that cult probably could have figured out your identity, you weren't subtle)
Look, I don't think this story contained the greatest Barbara Gordon characterisation ever written, but it was within the bounds of overly-interfering, self-righteous and pushy Babs, which is something that does pop up at times. It felt in conversation with her characterisation in Batgirl 2009, and while I don't LIKE the way Babs is written in it, especially in regards to Steph, it makes sense in terms of the direction DC was pivoting at this point in terms of leading into the whole Batgirls title.
Fitzmartin was also clearly using Steph characterisation from very late Robin/BFTC/start of Red Robin, when they were fighting, in terms of how she's trying to have Steph needle at Tim's sore points, and set up a dichotomy of 'Steph has it together/Tim does not'.
And yes, Belén Ortega's art is very, VERY pretty.

The best character from each longform
(in my biased opinion)
This is (obviously) a long one, so if you do want to read it, more below.
(Also I left out the Patreon plays. I might do a separate post for them later; we’ll see.)
Jimmy (Tom, Toby’s Secret Pocket)
Look, Jimmy is the best. He’s adorable. He’s the representation we as the autistic community needed. He has happy flappy stimmy hands. He can’t walk through doors. We love him. (STOPINTHENAMEOFTHELAW!!!!!)
André Beetroot (AJ, Burglary and Bobsledding)
André Beetroot (André Beetroot) was iconic the first time around, but his return as the first recurring SFTH character obviously had to be memorialised.
The boy witch (Sam, Moist and Magical)
I was tempted by the witchfinder general, but the boy witch won out with “Henry Cavill with a wasting disease” and his thick accent. Also the cheeky little look he gives his grandma (Luke) when he flips her off wins him a lot of points.
Hugh’s mum (Tom, Marigolds Bluebells and Hugh)
She’s, like, a fair bit unhinged, but she has good intentions. She’s got amazing quotes, too; “why couldn’t you have just stayed in my womb forever” and “if you love something, lock it up” are both deeply concerning, but I love them.
The wife (Tom, Murders in Space)
This one is kind of an obvious choice. I mean, her quotes are glorious, and honestly “have you ever heard of feminism, James?” gets her top spot automatically.
Mario the sheep (Sam, the Lighthouse)
Was this even a question? I love Mario intending to be a one-scene character and then being forced to star in the whole play. I love the human bits. I love “🐑fuck you🐑”. I love the sheep (aka Sam) having a fucking breakdown at the end. 10/10 all around.
Titch (Luke, the Unrelenting Aubergine)
Listen, I was very tempted by Old Lady Margery (and by Derek), but in the end, canon queer guy with commitment issues and insane amounts of blindness around his own feelings won out. What can I say, I have a type in fictional characters.
Troll Son (Luke, Wine Under the Bridge)
Everything about this character is perfect. Screaming as hello? Colourful troll as a metaphor for being queer? Correcting a geography fact? It’s got it all. It’s perfect. I love Troll Son and his wine bar in Ipswich.
Juliet (AJ, Caesar and Juliet)
Is anyone surprised? She’s a murderous girlboss. “[My mother] said you have to be careful about men; they can be corrupted with power. But what she didn’t know is that so can woman.” They can, and I’m here for it. She’s bathing in blood and her skin is glowing. I love insane women.
Watson (Sam, the Mystery of the Midnight Circus)
Watson, driven mad with grief over his divorce and his one-sided love for Sherlock, becomes a murderous clown. Am I supposed to not love this? Is there even another choice in this play? And his breakdown at the end was gorgeous.
Priscilla (AJ, Pricilla’s Final Petal)
I was very tempted by both of her mums, and also a bit by the groundsman, but ultimately, Priscilla won out. She’s the title character. She’s confused, but she’s got the spirit, and she’s working through her trauma with a buttercup and a piano lesson. Good for her.
Marty (Sam, the Evil Make-a-Wish Kid)
I considered the seven-year-old detective, but in the end, Marty won. He’s evil. He’s a make-a-wish kid. What more can I say? He’s got an iconic smirk. He burns down all the petting zoos on the entire planet (and his mum). He dies at the end. He’s brilliant.
Derek (Tom, Susan’s Holiday)
There were a lot of great options in this one, but “I like looking at the back of another man’s head” was too good to pass up. Also, I adore the whole monologue he has while he’s waiting to be buzzed in.
The gasoline salesman (Luke, Beetroots and Murder)
Okay, I know he’s only in, like, a quarter of a scene. I know that. And I can’t tell you why I love him so much but I do. He’s just. I just love him. I can’t explain it. There are so many great characters in this play, but the way he says “could be, could be” has captivated me. If you understand the way my brain works, please contact me, because I don’t.
Peter Steven (Tom, the Milkman)
I love so many characters in this play. I love Gareth, and I love the Texan bartender, and I love David the milkman. But Peter Steven is the sweetest, most traumatised little boy and I want to protect him. I will adopt him and I will never make him walk on his knees again. I will throw away the PS5 and I will let him dig up the back garden as many times as he wants.
Johnny and Janae (Luke and Tom, the Neighbour’s Under the Bed)
I know they’re two separate characters, okay, but they’re a set. I want to keep them together. And I just can’t choose, okay? They’re two autistic children whose neurodivergence presents in opposite ways, and their parents don’t know what to do with them, and oh look, I’m back to wanting to adopt traumatised children.
Captain Egbert (Luke, the Leftenmost Window)
Shoutout to the mum, but Egbert won this one. He’s, like, kind of an idiot. I’m here for it, though. He’s got the iconic “diluileayilybilyeilysilym” speech. He wants to go to the ~astral plane~ but he’s waiting for his birthday. He lets his wife dip him into a kiss even though it’s 1940. I love him.
The king (Sam, the Prime Minister’s First Day)
Listen, I love several characters from this one, but I’m going with this one. He’s unapologetically a dick. He wears impenetrable armour made from diamonds stolen from Indian subculture. He’s impossible to beat. He’s brilliant. (Also did anyone else kind of find Sam hot as the king or is that just me?)
Franz Haberburg (Sam, the Excited Chinchilla)
Obviously fuck Nazis (god I hope that’s obvious). That being said, some of SFTH’s best characters are Nazis, and this is one of them. He’s glorious. I have never seen such a brilliant rendition of a Nazi chinchilla.
The Italian detective (Tom, the Ingredients)
He can’t pronounce paella. Do I need another reason?
Chip (Sam/AJ, the Cardboard Stegosaurus)
Oh look, another traumatised child! I want it. (No, but seriously, I love Chip and his English/French seizures.) Also he’s one of the few characters who switches actors mid-play, and I love that.
Persephone (Tom, Wild Wet and Worrisome)
She’s amazing. “HEY!” is a gorgeous siren call and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. She deserved a happy ending and I’m still sad we didn’t get one. I like to think she swam to the shore and found Geoff again, and they lived happily ever after on a boat at sea, singing and not having to kill anyone.
Full Set O’Hands and his love/bother (Luke and Tom, No! I Always Loved that Caravan)
I know, I know, another set of characters, but you really can’t separate these two. They’re insane. I adore them. They’re just… Honestly, these two are comedy gold. Good for them because they are fucking timeless.
Andrew (Luke, All Eyes on Nigel)
Listen, Andrew is a naive little thing, and he must be protected at all costs. He goes through so much shit in this one, and I just want to wrap him up in a blanket and send him to rehab.
Magnus O. Puss (Tom, BUS)
Okay, this was a VERY close one between them and Arthur B. D., but Magnus is a genderqueer icon and we love them for it. Also, I feel like this is some of the most unhinged Tom content we have and I live for that.
Jeremiah (Luke, Inside the Mysterious Cube)
I was so torn because I love Bubba, too, but I’m trying to avoid putting sets of characters where possible, and Jeremiah just edged past Bubba because his death scene was gorgeous. (That is a mildly concerning reason to have a favourite, I will admit.)
Lord Lafayette (Tom, the Midnight Mystery)
You may be noticing a pattern; I adore Tom’s insane characters. We just don’t get to see that often enough. I love his very sexual flirting with Lady Lafayette (Sam). I love him making fun of the detective’s (Luke’s) shirt. I love “what does any self-respecting rich man do when he has a little boy in tights” followed by “captured—and only captured” as a save. I love him.
Dangerfield (AJ/Tom/AJ again, Once Upon a Time I Killed Mum)
I love the confusion when Tom briefly takes over as Dangerfield; it’s not often we get to see AJ understanding something that Sam doesn’t (I say this with all the love in the world). Dangerfield is so fascinating to me. He’s a “cleaner” for a crime lord, but he has mixed feelings about the things he does. I want to know how he got into it in the first place. How did he come into this life? I want to know.
Barry’s wife (AJ, the Hare who Wore a Sweater)
I don’t remember her having a name, but I could be wrong about that. She’s so sweet; she just wants to knit sweaters for the hares in peace. And then Jimmy the hare gets shot, and she and her husband go on a revenge plot. I’m here for it. I love her.
The king/tank commander (AJ, the Oopsie Daisy Bulge)
He’s obsessed with tanks. He used to have gay sex with his fellow tank commanders, but only as a joke. He sailed all the way around, through the other landlocked counties, into the east of France, and they never saw it coming. He drove tanks into the ocean. He’s so stupid he’s almost smart. I love him.
The landowner/farmer (Luke, Too Big to Be a Jockey)
He farms peasants (Luke, you genius). He’s such a dick, with his classist remarks about Johnny Jones, but somehow I love him anyway. His interview process is looking at a photo of someone and then hiring them, and he’s honestly wonderful. I love him.
Larry (Tom, Long Johns—Strike!)
Literally the only thing he does on screen is die. That’s it. That’s his whole purpose. And he does it beautifully.
Wizard Asceroth (Sam, the Dark Moons of Slough)
ASCEROOOOTTTHHHH!!! (I don’t have another reason. I don’t need another reason.)
The French waiter (Luke, Lost in Your Eyes)
I don’t know. I really don’t. But something about this character has stuck with me since the first time I watched it. Gorgeous accent. He kisses Amanda (Sam) for no reason at all. He gets stabbed by a gun. I love him.
The Lady of a Thousand Don Juans (Luke, the Meringue Haberdashery)
She tricked her husband for years. She murdered her own child. She has been a curse on all the Don Juans in this town. She’s one of the only villains who win at the end of a longform, and that’s very impressive. I love her.
Xavier (Tom, Oh my God is This a Joke?)
(Please refer to my previous statement about Nazi characters.) Okay, look. He’s a horrible person. But we as a fandom choose to disregard that because Tom looks amazing in a leather jacket and scarf. I am not above this. I am, in fact, a part of this. Tom looks amazing in a leather jacket and scarf. “I will die as I have lived…. Shirtless!” has to be one of the most iconic lines of all time. There was never any competition.

Honestly,I'm fine with woman vs woman rivalry if it's done well like in novels or manhwas. Not for teh romance but for something else. I also don't care about female antagonists if they didn't do something about the ml and fl. But it cross the lines sometimes if the teh female antagonists(no offense rashta your not in the category) crossed the lines of comfort. For example,if you read my in laws are obsessed with me(check it out,no slavery and the ml and FL are so likeable and 3d) the weak princess name dodolea. What I love about how the artist and author wrote her is this creepy princess. She may look fragile and weak but the fact I can see the signs on the ml seems uncomfortable by her and we get the backstory why he feels uncomfortable to her, just makes me wanna punch the princess. Now, spoilers. If you don't know why the flashback also hinted a reason why the ml feels uncomfortable with women and how the princess traumatized him in a way. Honestly, when I read that,I was so disgusted with her haha. I love how the artist gives the colours and scenes with a show, don't tell in a good way.
I don't have issues with female villains either. It's the blatant misogyny and turning them into cartoonish villainess is the problem. Not to mention female villainess in manhwa are always running after a dude and fighting over him with the FL. Fandom resorts to blatant misogyny too. But funny when male characters fight over one FL suddenly it's cute and they're suffering from 2nd ML syndrome but if a women dares to look at the ml , she's a b*tch. Both author and the fandom demonize them but don't do anything when it's male characters. I'm so over it.

tbh im losing my will to write bc all the cc's that i used to watch/did watch have been revealed to be terrible people that no part of me can support.
this is gonna be a bit of a rant of everything i stand on during this
support, send love and stand with shelby, alice, caiti, lexie, em, andi, moonzy and others taking a stand and finally showing the true colours of these 'men'. at the same time support, send love and stand with others that came out/were forced to talk about their experiences with this topic before such as cellbit, jack and niki. also show love for those standing up with the victims and supporting them no matter what - aimsy, billzo, max, ranboo, harry, etc. etc.
NOBODY who supports people like wilbur, illumina, george, sapnap, dream, punz, draggie and other 'influencers' who use their platforms for these horrific actions is welcome on my blog. i do not care if youre 'waiting for a response' - you have picked a side by doing that, whether you'd like to hear that or not, and it is not the victims. these 'men' are R4PISTS, ENABLERS, ABUSERS, RACISTS.
THIS ISNT DRAMA. the things these 'men' are saying theyve been revealed of doing - not accused, accused means 'claiming someone has done something wrong' - in this situation it is FACTUAL. the experiences these women have gone through do not deserve to be watered down to just 'internet drama' or 'twitter drama'. these 'men' have done ILLEGAL ACTS and deserve to rot behind bars for getting off on the manipulation, abuse and exploitation of these women, and i hope they get the justice they deserve for their actions.
a common thread between the majority of these cases is the theme of consent and alcohol. seems like the british attackers werent there for the tea video. the moment someone has alcohol in their bloodstream, they cannot consent. whether they have had one drink or 20, or if both parties are drunk, there is not consent. if there is not a clear, uncoerced, uninfulenced and solid 'yes' then there is not consent and it is assault/r4pe. this is not my opinion, this is THE LAW.
it is not your fault if you 'couldnt tell'. with wilbur, yes, he frequently used the 'tragic artist' role in his songs, but at the time it was said BY HIM to be a character, this is supported by his e-girl trilogy and the fact he said himself he was PLAYING an incel character. he is a manipulator, and the rest of the 'men' are liars too. they all sat behind screens showing a version of themselves best suited to gathering fame, and didnt feel bad about flipping completely when the streams or cameras turned off. HOWEVER, it is YOUR FAULT if you still support the 'men'. people saying 'he saved me' or 'he wouldnt do this' - MOTHERFUCKER HE JUST DID?? HELLO?? yes, it can be hard letting go of someone/something you loved, but it has to be done. i didnt want to get rid of a barbie when i was younger because playing with it made me happy, but i did anyways and guess what? i got over it. you do not know these 'men'. YOU ARE NOT LOSING A REAL LIFE FRIEND, YOU ARE LOSING A TOXIC, PARASOCIAL RELATIONSHIP.
for the (few) people who might see this and go 'whyre you so pressed' - i have experienced my own trauma in the past and that is all i will say, i do not owe it to you to go into full miniscule detail about what happened. hearing all the people i grew up watching doing the same things that i have and still am effected by today makes me feel sick, that isnt a metaphor either, it brings up bad memories and makes it even harder to detatch yourself from these situations. these 'men' have done irreversible actions. whilst it may have given them a sick minute of pleasure, it has haunted and traumatised these women for the rest of their lives. they are only 'apologising' or 'addressing' their actions because they do not want to lose their platforms. since the start their fans have only been a number, and the second that number drops they get all panicky and try do all the damage control they can. DO NOT SUPPORT THESE 'MEN'. SUPPORT THE VICTIMS. caiti shelby alice lexie em andi moonzy
i think im done with my rant. more might have to be added idk tho. bye bye

Watching The Sandman again for the hundreth time and I know everyone always loves to focus on Dreamling, but can we talk about Rose Walker for a moment?
The Sandman is often applauded (and complained about) for being an extremely gay show, but I particularly love how even the characters who aren’t canonically gay come across as extremely gay.
Take Rose Walker. The main character of The Doll’s House story. Neither the show nor the comics ever give Rose a sexuality, but there are some very glaring factors that heavily support her being queer.
The first time we see Rose is in episode 5 24/7. Judy, the lesbian at the diner who has had a fight with her girlfriend Donna, calls Rose and asks if Rose knows where Donna is. We know that Rose considers both Judy and Donna close friends and has a picture of Judy in her apartment.
Rose’s only other friend that we know of besides Lyta Hall (who she got to know via proximity since they were neighbours) is her friend Carl who she clearly is close enough with to let him house sit for her (even though he has sex with The Corinthian on her bed!).
So her closest friends are a lesbian couple and a gay man. I know I know straight people can be friends with queer people but statistically speaking queers flock together. Its more likely that Lyta is the token straight in the friend group than Rose AND Lyta both being straight.
I also question her choice of seeking out accomodation in Cape Kennedy. Isn’t it interesting how she ends up in a very strange B&B also managed by a gay drag artist and filled with colourful characters including Chantal and Zelda (I know their relationship is supposed to remain ambiguous but imo the show also leans more into them being lesbians due to Chantal’s dream where she calls them “soul sisters” and “gothic brides” and I dunno I just think the fact she refers to them as brides is pretty telling!)
Of all your accomodation choices in Florida, this in particular seems like the kind of place one would go to if they were specifically looking for somewhere advertised as “LGBT friendly”. All the characters staying at the B&B are either canonically queer or heavily queer coded.
Gilbert/Fiddlers Green isn’t technically human, but his whole aura is distinguished older gay man - he’s played by Stephen Fry after all!
Also I could go on about Barbie (who I theorise found the accomodation for her and Ken) but without revealing any comic spoilers, she also later surrounds herself with basically all queer people. I know in the comics she is strictly heterosexual, but nah she dreams like a queer theatre kid on speed or something lmao. That girl is a bisexual disaster all the way and yeah I may be projecting on her as a fellow blonde overly dramatic dreamer and disaster bisexual but I claim her for my own okay just let me have this.
So yeah, the queer friendship groups, the specific seeking out of an LGBTQ friendly b&b in Florida, and the fact that she literally wears rainbows in her hair and I think its clear enough that that girl is a baby queer if ever I saw one.
Due to the merging of Rose and Lyta’s stories in the Netflix show, we should actually get to see more of Rose in future seasons. In the comics, after the Dolls House book, she doesn’t appear again (unless she turns up in the Wake since I haven’t read that far ahead), but by making her Lyta’s companion in the show, we know she will appear again since Lyta and the baby (Daniel not that he has been named yet in the show) are reoccuring characters throughout the entire Sandman comic run.
Maybe I just crave more lesbian and bisexual women rep in my fave shows, but sitting here watching this show again it just tickles me that in the entirety of season 1, it is so easy to view practically every major female or female presenting character as queer. Joanna Constantine and Rachel, Judy and Bette, Lucifer and Mazikeen (bring on the make out scene in season 2!), Chantal and Zelda, and in my opinion, Rose Walker, Barbie, Lucienne, and Gault are all queer coded WLW.
(Lucienne and Gault is just a ship I love okay but you can’t deny there was some flirting in episode 10!)
It’s been such a crappy year for lesbian rep with lesbian shows getting cancelled left right and centre. I just think lesbians should therefore claim the Sandman as theirs. if nothing else, claim it out of spite. It’s a fantasy show with a pathetic wet cat emo boy as a main character who literally surrounds himself with lesbians, is probably in love with his best friend, and considers a slutty gay serial killer with teeth for eyes his greatest ever creation. It just seems to me like the kind of show that should appeal heavily to WLW okay! Plus there are more lesbians coming in season 2! Encourage your lesbian and bisexual friends to go watch The Sandman now!

How about the dorm leader bois with a reader who’s like Samurai Jack?
thank you for the ask, annon !! samurai jack. . . that's a blast from the past !! and sorry it took a hot minute to get out and that it's kinda short !! lowkey had trouble trying figure out how to write it
Tumblr media
✎...pairing: twisted wonderland dorm leaders x samurai jack!reader ✎...themes: chaos, can be seen as platonic or romantic ✎...enjoy !! ✎...notes: can you tell which characters are my favourite, ace slander, i tried to keep it gender-neutral, but mentions of afab and amab in some parts
Tumblr media
𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐃𝐋𝐄
i feel that riddle would find you pleasing to be around due to the fact that you respect the queen of hearts' rules
even if you sometimes forget them, he values the fact that you try anyway
well that, and he's lowkey scared of getting his ass folded by you
he once saw you do that to ace because he was annoying greatly and decided to teach him a lesson
let's just say ace doesn't do that anymore
no one does
but overall, riddle respects you
Tumblr media
𝐋𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐀
leona wasn't really paying attention to you until basically manhandled a couple of savanaclaw students who tried to pick on you for being magicless
well damn
if you were afab, for example, leona would actually show so much respect for you
considering how a vast majority of his nations army is women, he wouldn't dare to get on your bad side
he could hear his mother scream if he was disrespectful
if you were amab, for example, leona would show you some respect for you
he would still make sly remarks or tease you, but nothing too much because why bother getting his shit rocked
he'd much rather nap
speaking of naps, he doesn't mind napping when you're around because you're quiet and peaceful
Tumblr media
𝐀𝐙𝐔𝐋
gonna be honest. . . a little scared
i mean, a person capable of defeating a shapeshifting demon, who sent them eons into the future, was gonna scare him
despite that, he will try to get you to sign a contract but fails
why??
because you know shady stuff when you see it

colour him intrigued
you're a warrior and a great one
he absolutely loves hearing your battle stories and how you got each scar
he's definitely interested in the whole time travel adventure you went on
he's almost like kalim in a sense ー child-like curiosity
however, he does fret over your healed battle wounds like you just got them ー you find it very endearing

There are a huge number of gender-crossing elements in the Harry Potter books!
Honestly, not to beat a dead horse here but it’s utterly WILD that JK Rowling, head British TERF managed to put into her fictional world that she didn’t want to have any trans-ness or gender barrier crossing within elements including:
A gender-neutral school uniform worn by all students
Gender-neutral clothing that is worn by all adults, including males wearing bright, traditionally feminine colours and fabrics like lace, satin, silk, with nobody finding this strange or unusual
The one sport participated in at Hogwarts and the largest sport in wizarding society is co-ed, with male and female players on the same team both at school and professional level, not divided into men’s and women’s leagues
Changing rooms are co-ed, with the implication at multiple points that cis boys and girls change clothes and shower communally in front of each other, with no suggestion that there are cubicles or other such barriers
The large, bearded hero Hagrid has many traditionally feminine accoutrements, likes the colour pink, and refers to themself with she/her pronouns on multiple occasions
The first book includes a pivotal scene where cis boys have to go into the girls’ bathroom in order to rescue a girl and the girl is very thankful that they went in to save her. Teachers witness this and do not punish or admonish the boys for entering the girls’ bathroom.
The second book includes many pivotal scenes where cis boys are in the girls’ bathroom. They are invited in by a girl who is perfectly comfortable with them being there. If they had not entered the girls’ bathroom they would not have been able to participate in multiple major plot points, and a female student would have died because they had not been there to save her.
A potion exists by which people can transform their whole bodies into other people - which can be used to change gender, which is demonstrated on multiple occasions
Certain people exist who can transform their bodies into other forms without the aid of potions
The most famous band in the wizarding world is The Weird Sisters, a group made up of males only who are quite comfortable using a feminine name for their group. Nobody finds it unusual or remark-worthy that none of the Weird Sisters are women.
One male and one female Prefect are chosen from each year group and they have their own special bathroom. This bathroom is co-ed and the bathing facility is one communal tub, with no indication that there are also separate bathing or showering facilities, separating screens or anything for privacy or modesty
Male characters frequently have long flowing hair which is typically associated with female characters in children’s fiction
It is visibly hard to tell the gender of non-human magical beings, which is described on several occasions
Characters who are most stereotypically and self-assuredly masculine or feminine (the Dursleys, Cormac McLaggen, Lavender Brown) are looked down upon and are figures of embarrassment and fun for the heroes of the story.
In isolation any of these elements could be taken as a hint that the author was quite open-minded or did not care so much about traditional views of gender, normality and/or propriety. The fact that Rowling was able to write in all of these elements when she didn’t need to and could quite easily have chosen to not include them, if she firmly wanted to depict a world with strict gender boundaries, is thus either a sign of exceptionally poor writing, blinkers on as to what kind of society she was actually describing as opposed to what she intended to portray, or a suggestion that in actuality the lady doth protest too much - and that much of her latest rants and ramblings about trans people and the threat they pose are more stubbornness at being challenged and/or trying to stay in with her ‘new friends’ rather than views she has consistently held all through her life.
How does it all possibly add up, otherwise?

@tanninivver asked me how I would film Dune. Here’s how I answered:
I think Dune is unfilmable, so I accept whatever I do will be a failure, but the approach I see working is making it extremely dreamlike.
How dreamlike? Literally dreamlike - I want there to be a sort of framing narrative where the dreamer is the teenage son of an American oilman living in some farang-compound in the Gulf. These scenes are filmed in black and white, and appear whenever Paul is having a plot-relevant vision.
It also replaces the initial loredump -- we begin the film with a slice of life establishing scene of Paul!real interacting with his father (Duke Leto), his father’s araboid boss (Emperor Shaddam), his daughter (Irulan), some creepy ginger sexpat pig who works for the company (Vlad) etc.
(This way I can also hire my oil farang cousins to be consultants)
There’s going to be a lot of multiple roles. As well as the doubled casting in the Gulf scenes, I see, fpr instance, Gurney, Duncan and mb Thufir being played by the same character (a charismatic chief of engineering guy in the Gulf company) in fantastic costumes. No established actors, all new talent.
The religious symbolism is very very heavy -- I want to represent that “all the mysteries are revealed”. We see characters making du’a, women outside the house wear veils, Paul is wearing not military dress but a sünnet type costume during the Gom-Jabbar scene, people are carrying around Orange Catholic Bibles, crossing themselves, ikons everywhere and so forth.
The Bene Gesserit and the Guild are the exception. The Bene Gesserit are *not* space nuns. They’re dressed like cynical businesswomen, suits even. I want the materialist viewer to be able to project onto them. The guildsmen also wear business suits and are Epic Science Lovers. They are, in fact, slightly dreamier versions of the suits the characters wear in the “Gulf” scenes.
I am not sure if the “Gulf” scenes are set in the 70s or contemporary -- both sound good.
I want the Heighliner, full of little ships, to evoke Reddit, a place where people of all creeds some together. Updoot arrows, It’s gotta look like a webbed sight.
The CHOAM reps wear fedoras and look fishoid. They look like this, in fact:
Tumblr media
All the Harkonnens are played by the same actor, which means fat suits will be involved because the same guy has to play twinky Feyd-Rautha and Vlad. Because it’s Paul’s dream, the pederastic sexual threat is played up -- Gulf!Paul is terrified of the sexpat, and that’s gonna come over in the dream -- this Vlad definitely wants to rape Paul. But generally, all the Harkonnens are Vlad narcissistically diddling himself.
Except for Piter, who is obviously Dutch. He even speaks Dutch and dresses Dutch and eats bitterbollen.
I also want to show the drug addicts as drug addicts. I hate especially how every film does blue laser eyes-of-ibad. They should look *diseased* -- sclera stained dark indigo, all mucous membranes too. You should be able to tell their blood is full of it -- they bleed black, and thick, and oily.
The dream conceit should remind you of the Wizard of Oz. What should remind you even more is that the overwhelming colour of the sietches is indigo blue, Emerald City style. The fremen make everything from spice, spice metabolites get everywhere, Everything should be blue.
The spice itself is dark blue -- outside of the sietches, the nobility should treat it exactly like cocaine. There’s gonna be a weird arrakis water-presevation toilet scene where someone snorts a bump.
Another theme I want to express is a duality of the spice. Most of the time we see it, it’s being abused, dirty, dark stuff, but it’s full of potential. It should glow when it’s in storage.
You have maybe seen pictures of Muhammad dressed like this:
Tumblr media
face veil, moses-style, and fire on his head. As the Jihad picks up, and Paul becomes the messiah, the Fremen should be transfigured from filthy Third World junkies to this -- blue/white fireheads.
The worms are giant veined penises. The maker hooks go into the foreskin at the front. They are dentate -- penis dentatus finally given the treatment it deserves.
The sietches, contrarily, are vulvas in the sand. This explains why the Harkonnens do not know about them, because Vlad is obsessed only with the worms. Paul, on the other hand, is bisexual.

SJM is a feminist qwueen.
Elain is Elain felt wrong at so many levels. Couldn’t understand why. But here’s my reason for hating it.
Elain is Elain means that Elain is not much. Not worth considering a threat or an opportunity. Not a villian, not a hero, not useful, just not much. Why would that be? What’s different? Nesta and Elain are both made by the cauldron. She’s eager to help (in ACOWAR).
She’s not doing what males do in SJM fantasy world. Not swinging a sword (like Aelin and Mor). Not rude and dismissive of authorites (like Feyre in the high lords meetings). She’s being normal and wearing dresses. And that’s completely fine.
But apparently not by SJM, the feminist queen and her fans. Because guess what, that’s not feminism. That’s internalized misogyny. You only like feminist heroines when they do something that males do. How dare she stay in the house and bake? Be queit and proper like a lady. Wear dresses!??? Go put on some fighting leathers and swing a sword. Only then will we value you. We are feminists. Can’t have a girl acting all girly and expect people to think she has some good qualities. Qualities worth appreciation. Nope, we will value you when you fight, put on some muscles and ditch those dresses. And get out of the kitchen!
Until then, Elain is just Elain.
Never tell me that young girls reading this are not getting a bad impression. I saw a 14 year old pick up this book today. SJM and her internalized misogyny, that the fans label as feminism ✨ is going to shape some young minds into believing a lot of fucked up things being right. Forgiving your abuser and sexual assualter (Aelin-Rowan, Feyre- Rhys), mistreating people with trauma (Nesta being locked up) and of course, the smaller problem discussed above. I am not old enough to have children yet, but I regret the fact that I read this crap and I beg all you fans out there to never have your children read this crap. It is honestly surprising that these books have not been deemed inappropriate yet. I have read a lot of dark romance and this is not it. The theme is clear in dark romance. Characters in those books are held accountable for their actions. The constant cycle of making the fans beleive that Rhys, Rowan, Cassian etc. are not wrong and you should want a partner like that..now that is harmful.
P.s. English is my third language. Idk if I made any mistakes, but do let me know if I did so I can take care of it next time.
It was such crap. If Rhys was actually held accountable for his words then yeah, okay, he can say that. But if Feyre ever questions him, it happens once then it's waved away by Rhys. Within a few minutes of meeting the sisters, he dismisses Elain as unimportant and Nesta is Illyrian at heart and he can never forgive her - for something that never ever involved him.
For me, it wasn't really about the fact that Elain is typically more feminine. Beyond the colour of their dresses where Elain favours pink, I'd say Nesta is also very typically feminine (for the time period). She doesn't like pants, her hobby is reading, she was saving herself for marriage. To me, what Rhys said aligned with Feyre's view of Elain from the first book where she said that it wasn't that Elain was being mean and not helping, she just didn't grasp that she might actually get off her ass and help. And Rhys is fine with that. Elain can be oblivious but that's okay and he won't ever push her <3 It's so hard not to compare how Elain and Nesta are treated. Both lived in the cabin. Nesta said mean things, Elain didn't. Nesta helped, Elain didn't.
At the end of it all, these men should stay far away from these women. The men all need therapy and should be taught how to be a better partner <3
p.s. your English is brilliant

What are some of your favorite quotes from the main series? And what are some from Dunk & Egg?
A lot of the asoiaf quotes are gonna be A Storm of Swords because it’s the book I read digitally the most, meaning I was actually highlighting as I went along. So lots Storm representation oops. Rule of five per series so I don’t get carried away.
Dunk and Egg (this one is long because I love discussing these novellas):
Tumblr media
Something something the wealthy huddle beneath lavish roofs and tents and leave the poor to sleep in the rain and mud, but the wealthy have created for themselves gilded cages while the poor can watch the stars fall and claim the gift of luck that comes with it. Thanks George I eat stuff like this up like I’m a starving man.
Tumblr media
Feel like we need to mention a dragon dream if we’re discussing Dunk and Egg. My favourite dragon dream in the D&E series. Everything about it is correct: Dunk will be a Kingsguard, he’ll be famed throughout the land, he’ll live for nothing but to serve his King. Though Daemon gets one big thing wrong and that’s that he is not going to be King. Second hand embarrassment. As Bloodraven put it, “The fool just got the colour wrong.” Literally Daemon’s entire character. Spitting facts but he can’t tell red from black.
Tumblr media
Defending myself by saying this isn’t a dragon dream. Uhhh so! King Aegon V was killed in a massive fire that burned down Summerhall on the night Rhaegar was born. Duncan the Tall, the Lord Commander, died trying to save both King Aegon and the other party guests from the fire. In this scene, Dunk dreams that he’s digging a grave and people, dead or alive, are appearing in it and speaking to him. The last to appear is Egg, who is buried in the sand even though Dunk tries to pull him out. Dunk falls into the grave and suffocates in the sand. It’s obviously supposed to represent the smoke at the fire of Summerhall. Literally wtf George?
Tumblr media
The context is pissing contests by the way. Ignore the pissing part there’s a metaphor there I promise. Dunk is super interesting to me because his raising of Egg makes Egg the small-folk loving King that later rules Westeros. Dunk is wise in his life experience, yet he knows nothing of the struggle of women in both noble and peasant settings. Rohanne let’s him know just how difficult it is for a woman to claim any power or influence in Westeros, using the metaphor of a pissing contest, that classic male bonding activity (a woman needs to piss twice as hard).
Tumblr media
This does a really good job of putting into perspective how notable Aegon’s kingship was. “Kings do not heap honour on the likes of you and me,” yet King Aegon V named Dunk his Lord Commander and solidified Dunk’s place as a legendary knight. By ASOIAF, Dunk is spoken about admirably. Another King might not have ever given a man like Dunk the opportunity, but Aegon did.
Asoiaf (shorter because I feel like these have been talked about way more):
Tumblr media
Daenerys Targaryen:
Makes me tear up. I feel like it’s obvious why. Also after this she tells Jorah that the people will not hurt her, for she is their mother. And then she rides her Silver throughout the crowd while laughing because she’s so happy and in love with the world!!! This is probably one of the only quotes here that isn’t going to be miserable.
Tumblr media
Beric Dondarrion:
“Are you my mother, Thoros?” propaganda I think about this quote so much. Beric and Thoros aren’t even on my top ten list but their conversations and dynamic is absolutely heartbreaking. Beric omg how you rot my brain.
Tumblr media
Catelyn Tully:
Not “Ned loved.” Instead, “Ned loves.” Because perhaps in her grief and panic, she forgot her husband had even died. I’m dead.
Tumblr media
Jon Connington:
He’s so doomed. He’s so bitter and angry. He loves his son so much and that’s exactly why he’s so doomed. Because he refuses to give his son anything but the best, even though the best is going to kill them both.
Tumblr media
Maester Aemon Targaryen:
I am a loyal Egg girl so this killed me nine different times :)

I think in the recent productions one of the best make up for the Queens was done by the Il Sistina Production, which is a non replica  As far as I understand the make up was designed by two women.
For the first time I saw a picture that made me think, which was which cat.
Tumblr media
They have quite different make up but because of the same colour palette and the leaving out the vibrant lip stick they do look very similar which I love.
Tumblr media
To be fair Rumpletazer has a coloured lower lip on some pictures but it is never the bright red that was used by London based productions for years.
Tumblr media
Also Tantomile and Coricopat: Peak design. They both used red in their general make up and costume, they both have, again a black upper lip, and a red lower lip. While Tantomiles lower lip is much more prominent, Coricopats is smaller but it’s still there. So when you give red lips to one of the “twin” characters, give it to both.
Tumblr media
Also big fan of the fact that the queens do not have same face syndrom. I remember one video where the actors only wore make up, no wigs or costumes but you could still tell the women apart very well. With some of the newer production this becomes more difficult sometimes, especially with characters like Bombalurina, Demeter and Jemima, while Jellylorums make up seems to become less and less in contrast in some replica producitons.
I’m also so in love with Demeters make up. It’s very classical “femine” with the dark eyes and the contouring on her cheeks but at the same time it gives her a very edgy (literal) look. I’m also such a big fan of her long black upper lip. It looks so cool and cat like. And she looks different from Bomba. She is very beautiful but in her own way. They kind of do have stronger make up than some toms but at the same time the make up artists get the idea that there a very different way to give a woman hot make up, not just to slap red lips on her.
Tumblr media
Not using the red lips on every female character also makes Bomba stick out. With her character design you can see that she is supposed to be the sexy, beautiful lady. She has more lashes and redder lips than most other female characters. It’s still towened down in a shade which fits her furr colour.
Tumblr media
Last point is that red lips are also used for the toms. George (on the left) had a little bit red on his lower lip similiar to coricopat. Electra (on the right side) which I would argue was also to be intended one of the sexier female characters in this production by make up and costume design, has very prominent red lips too and sticks out compared to the other female “kitten” characters, a little bit like Bomba does.
Also to be fair again: The make up of the characters changed  slightly. But what is very promiennt is the black upper lip which I love because it’s so cat like.

your icon is transmasc lockwood..give me ur transmasc lockwood thoughts pls *holds out a bowl*
(and any other gender/sexuality hcs you have for l&co characters 👀👀)
Oh I have SO much to say on all of this thank you so much for asking and noticing. (There are some book spoilers here so I will put a small * at the start for people who haven't read them. General spoilers are marked with ** :] )
Lockwood:
He's a stealth trans man and has hit a point in his transition where it's no longer at the forefront of his mind
He used to hate that he couldn't wear a binder on cases (he still did it at times) but I think he firmly has top surgery now. I have two headcanons about him getting top surgery, actually, though one is more of a joke
One is that Inspector Barnes managed to get it under DEPRAC insurance because binding was seen as inhibiting his ability to do cases
The other is that he once got a case that paid well and used the money from it to get top. He didn't think to tell anyone and returned one day with the drains in the pockets of his greatcoat completely high off painkillers
** His parents and sister never knew about him being trans and that makes him upset sometimes
He is a binary trans man, though I use the transmac flag for my icon (slightly altered colours) because I am. He used he/him pronouns
He's asexual to me as well
He's straight in a respecting women way and definitely in a bi wife way. With mentioning that...
Lucy
I'm gonna go off on two tangents with this with transfem Lucy and afab non-binary Lucy because they both greatly appeal to me; I'll explain them in that order
I'm not really in the mood to get into much transphobia because I don't want to bring the tone down, but her mom was not supportive at all, though she heavily defied her mom in that regard and was out to her friends
* Her sisters were supportive too, as much as they could be under the guise of their mother, and her sister Mary would help out a lot
Norrie in the show probably fills a similar role
Once she left home and went to London she was excited by the prospect of finally getting to be herself and openly using her name with new people
She uses she/they pronouns
My afab nb Lucy heavily ties into trans Lockwood, actually
Basically Lockwood getting rid of his old binders and her asking for one just to see what it's like and realising she prefers the way she looks wearing one
Lockwood talks to her about it blah blah heartwarming stuff about looking after your body n such but being happy for her
Anyways I like both of these for different reasons
Here lucy uses they/she pronouns
Anyways she's also massively bisexual
George
Oh he's got he/they energy in the same way Cabinet Man or Touch-Tone Telephone by Lemon Demon do
He's been out for years, and is quite comfortable with the fact he's trans and doesn't mind people asking or telling people about it
The more comfortable he is around you the more he'll say
His parents were just chill with it too, and his brothers were delighted to "teach him" how to be a guy
Also side note congrats on your autism George. This doesn't really have anything to do with it but it's on my mind
He's just got that transmasculine swag and that's cool for him
I think he may be pansexual, or omnisexual
Flo
I don't have as much to say on Flo but I adore her and she deserves a spot
Anyway she uses she/they/any pronouns in a gender is a social construct way and is adamantly opposed
She tells people to get creative with the pronouns
** Holly
Absolutely a trans woman who loves being a woman I take no criticism on this
She likes being pretty and wearing nice clothes because it makes her feel euphoric
She's not stealth trans, but she likes people not being able to tell
She's pretty open with the people she trusts
* Another joke-y headcanon that I have is the real reason Lucy is jealous of Holly is because Holly is further through her transition
But they learn to bond over it
* Also she's a lesbian because "flatmate from Fittes" who is a girl as well as the whole "there are other possibilities in this world" line. Yeah she's heavily implied to be a lesbian in the books
Kipps
Maybe trans, maybe bisexual, may be just an ally. Idk, I don't think a lot about him
I can see him being a stealth trans man like Lockwood ngl
Anyway rant over, thank you asker :D

watching Sarah Z's new video on Queerbaiting and i wonder if it's gonna be kinda similar to Rowan Ellis' video on representation where like,
calling out queerbaiting is similar to calling FOR queer representation, where we (a certain subset of nerdy bookish/moviesh internet queers) have been focused on those specific things for a while and they've both kind of evolved past their usage
because queerbaiting imo is still shitty, when done as an intentional marketing tactic by PR and higher up executives for a fictional show. but it's also really hard to tell if it was just the case that nobody on the show had the will to fight for explicit queerness, if it came down from on high as a directive, if it was someone trying to sneak something past the censors, etc. and it ends up just encouraging bickering among fans and in some cases eating our own. as well, some people have pushed back to the point that they prefer queerness to be non explicit, and i've gathered this is sometimes because queerness is transgressive but what popular media tells us tends to be filtered through a marketable lens, therefore things that are truly queer and transgressive come from reading in what may or may not be intentional, but it still queer anyway. i don't fully get this, because i would like full frontal unabashed queer romance, personally. i love romance regardless of the gender of the people involved, shoot me i guess?
and on that note. "representation". it's just, like... i get why people want representation and why they frame their argument in this way- that showing queer stories is a Good, because it allows people to see themselves, and also for people to learn about queerness by sympathizing with fictional characters. but it also ends up getting sticky and into a lot of politics around what is "good" and "bad" and "problematic" representation... and yet, at the end of the day, nobody should be getting their full understanding of a social issue from fictional media alone, first off, and not everything can, will, or should be relatable to every single person out there, so nitpicking about what is good and bad might get into the territory of invalidiating real experiences just because one person has no concept of frame of reference even though, there's also a very real person who has experienced that exact thing.
still. as a fat woman, i do in fact want more fat "representation", as in, i want to see more characters who are fat, especially in stories where they are the leads and their fatness is incidental and not mentioned at all, especially not in a derogatory way. other people might want more stories about fat people facing adversary and rising above it, or other facets of fatness, or somewhere on the spectrum. i do think there is value in showing more diverse bodies on screen. in addition, people who are from different cultures, have different skin colours, etc. having representation is "good" but that is not the only reason to do it, either...
because another thing that can happen when representation is the single goal is like.. well.. what if the story isn't even that good? like. first and foremost i want stories that i Enjoy, regardless of any diversity aspect. a story is more likely to be enjoyed by me if it shares my values, sure, but it's not a guarantee. it still needs some level of quality, or at least something to sink my teeth into. this opinion is one ive involved into over time and still shift and change a bit on, day by day. currently my fav blorbos are horrible rich men ! like, sure, theyre gay (to me.) but like. theyre bad people lmao. and that's fine. but if i was still adamant about not watching stuff that doesn't have mostly women characters in it, i'd never have given this show a chance. i still do like to watch shows by and about women, though.
anyway. rambly, idk. i barely even started the video lmfao.

Villain rise oc!!!
Meet Scarlett.N
(this drawing is a little old now, so here's the most updated version (also her bad future design)
Her updated designs
Tumblr media
I made them while practice the rottmnt art style! As you can tell by their design they are a big fan of the colour pink.
But some more information I currently have on them is that they own two tailor parlors, where they both tailor clothes and even design their own! One parlor is located on the surface, while the other is located in the hidden city :D
They are the moment are 38 years old, and identify as a women, but use they/she pronouns!
In her design u can see that they wear a necklace, this necklace works the same as a cloaking brooch but in a different form.
They need this necklace due to the fact they are a mutant crow! (Planing on redoing this design soon cause I don't rly like it, and it's a bit dated)

I decided to make them a crow mutant due to their intelligence and love for shiny objects (which since Scarlett loves money, profit, and gold accessories. I think it fits well) :]
At the moment I'm still figuring out more about the character but if you have any questions or suggestions don't be scared to tell me them :D
For now y'all can just take these goofy lil drawings
