Her finger clicked the mouse relentlessly as she played the clip for the tenth time that evening.
“I mean - its content. It's not necessarily bad, if you get what I mean, but it's kind of junk food content, I think most of our streams can get like that.” Hasan explains to Will as he puts the cutout of your face on the F-tier of his stream. She sees the room go silent at his statement, the sharp intake of breath from Will and an uncomfortable giggle from Austin prompting him to speak again.
“What, you act like you want me to lie or something,” Hasan jokes. She sits in silence as the clip replays and the words are mumbled in the background. The frequent ringing of her phone wasn't helping at that moment. No matter where she clicked, it was just another video talking about the clip, or a friend messaging her to see if she had seen it. It's not like she didn't care about her content. The words hurt - the hours she'd spent preparing new streams and nurturing her community had been reduced to "junk food content".
“He's a total asshole who cares what he thinks,” one of her friends complained over the phone. Each of her complaints about him tripped over another. She could see the support, but felt distanced, as if all they could hear was the repeated line about junk.
The conversation remains silent while they wait for her to speak. “Do you think what I'm doing is bad -be honest, I'm not going to cry or anything,” she murmured, pressing her knees against her arms
“No way - just because you're not sitting in a chair for nine hours a day, your content is suddenly inferior - fuck that.” Says her friend. She feels something strange - an inclination to defend him, a part of her - a tiny part that believes he didn’t mean it - urging her to say no. She wasn't naïve, she and Hasan weren't close by any means, sure, they'd worked together before and it went well, but it was just that, a collaboration. Apart from streaming, she had never texted Hasan or called him.
A heavy sigh escaped her lips as she said, “I’ll just let it go - I mean, I’m going to Turkey with Will next week and that's the last thing I need right now.” Her phone rang incessantly; fan accounts came to her rescue, berating Hasan in the worst possible way. Other creators had sent her messages asking her to come on stream and explain her side. She knew they were trying to get somewhere, pushing her, goading her to make a statement about something she didn't want to talk about. She ended the call before turning her phone off completely.
The next week dragged on. The next day she had come up with a bullshit excuse about having food poisoning. In reality, she didn't feel like streaming. She didn't want to read the walls of her chat asking for a reply, it was humiliating, she thought.
When the next Monday had come, she found herself in the airport, eyes searching for Will. The place was full of atmosphere as she clutched her boarding pass tighter. As her eyes fell on Will walking towards her, she noticed a towering figure looming behind him.
Hasan is here.
His hair peeked through his cap, unruly strands creeping underneath. His eyes fixed on hers, and she noticed something in them - regret? Guilt? It was too early to worry about that. When Will meets her, she looks at him in frustration as her gaze flickers back and forth between Hasan and Will.
“ I’m just as surprised about this as you are, okay?” Will declares anxiously. She sighs in exasperation as she grabs her bags and makes her way to the plane.
The journey has been nothing less than painful.
She puts on her headphones and selects the loudest setting to hopefully distract herself from the situation. Her hopes are dashed when she feels a tap against her shoulder. Hoping it was a curious toddler or a perverted old man, she turns around and sees Hasan.
“Listen - about the ranking thing, I just wanted to say-” Hasan stammers, before putting her headphones back on. The silence between the two of them continued throughout the flight. She could feel his eyes boring into her whenever she rose from her seat. ‘I am here with Will, I am not going to entertain him," she repeats to herself like a hopeful mantra.
When the flight landed, Turkey was simply beautiful. Will and her (and Hasan) immersed themselves in the popular tourist spots and markets. On the stream, everything looked perfect, they could joke with each other and it looked like they were all getting on well. But as soon as they left the stream, things took a turn for the worse.
Every time Hasan tried to start a conversation with her, she reacted quickly and indifferently. Several times he found himself leaning over her and trying to talk to her, but she only responded by running away. The fans had got wind of it. Videos kept popping up on the internet showing her and Hasan off camera, walking away in the turkey. People suspected that the argument had got worse and wondered when she would speak to him.
On the fifth day she was exhausted. The hours of trying to keep up appearances and pretend she didn't want to rip his head off were beginning to wear on her. When the stream was over, she walked away from the group, texted Will so he wouldn't worry, and went to a dimly lit bar on a side street.
She was tired of feeling feelings and pretending she didn't feel them. As the minutes turned into hours, she got drunker and drunker.
As she left the bar, her legs walked unsteadily and cautiously while her head spun incessantly. She found herself on the steps of a cobbled street, felt all her emotions welling up inside her and began to sob. She lost track of time as her head rested in her hands and the tears fell uncontrollably.
“Where the hell have you been?” Hasan asked in a voice that resonated with anger and relief. She takes her head out of his hands and waves him away.
“Listen - you don't have to play nice with me, I can take care of myself,” she slurs, staring at the ground next to Hasan's feet.
“...And you handle yourself by crying in public in front of a sleazy bar?” he asks sarcastically.
“...fuck you,” she replies drunkenly.
He mumbles something before shaking off his jacket and putting it over her shoulders. “Let's go back to the hotel,” he urges her as he grabs her by the arm and tries to get her to stand up.
“Dude - you do not have to pretend to care, it's fine,” she spits out gruffly, shaking his grip. Hasan’s chest tightens, guilt flooding his body as he struggles for words.
“I am sorry, if I could, I'd take back what I said,” he says, his voice barely higher than a whisper.
“It's a bit late for that - you said it and everyone saw it,” she scoffs, pushing herself off the cobbles and making her way back to the hotel. Strong arms wrap around her legs as Hasan lifts her up and throws her over his shoulders.
“If we walk, it’ll take you all night,” he says as his grip tightens around her waist. It was eerily quiet on the way back to the hotel. Neither of them knew where they stood. They knew boundaries had been crossed and feelings had been hurt, but they did not know what to do next. As the lights from the hotel sign illuminated their bodies, Hasan's sniffling became more apparent to her. He was crying.
“I am really sorry, I was not thinking - I can not imagine how much shit I put you through,” he chokes out as he sets her down on the lobby floor. Her eyes stay in contact, her gaze feels lighter, almost as if she trusts him. Hasan leads her to her room, lets her in and sits on the edge of the bed.
“Don’ go...” she slurs, wrapping her arms tightly around his body.
“I won't,” he replies gently; he feels her body snuggle against him, her eyes grow heavy and begin to close. He pulls her closer to him and lets her rest against his body. As the night wore on, they both fell asleep. Hasan had cuddled her to his chest in the morning and breathed in the soft scent of her perfume.
When she woke up, the sunlight was streaming through the curtains, bathing his face in a soft light. She felt lighter, as if the energy had completely shifted. The realisation that she was so close to him made her stagger backwards and fall off the bed in a tangle of blankets. A heavy moan from her woke Hasan and made him look over the side of the bed.
“Did we…?” she asked, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
“No, no, we just fell asleep,” he reassures her, his morning voice echoing through the room. She pushes herself off the floor, claws her way back onto the bed and sits down awkwardly.
“So… Junk food content, huh?” she explains with a grin. Hasan nudges her cheekily and enjoys her giggles. The heaviness between them had disappeared. For the first time, it felt intimate between them, bigger than a collaboration or a friendship.

Heyy, I was thinking about a concept with Fyodor (or whoever from BSD) having a streamer bf, but like, one of -those- streamers where every word they say can be quite questionable (in a “good” way/ironically). For some reason it amuses me to imagine it with Fyodor and Reader occasionally teasing him, calling him their ‘discord kitten’ or streaming for 5 hours (or more lol) saying nonsenses or playing video games instead of paying attention to Fyodor. What do you think?
Tumblr media
“Get Off The Game ♡˖” BSD x GN!Reader ੈ✩‧₊˚
╰┈➤ Fyodor Dostoevsky, Dazai Osamu
Warnings;
Description; BSD men with a streamer!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/n; these are in headcannon form, I hope that's alright!!! I think Dazai or Nikolai would be a better person to have this occupation w so I also did headcannons for one of them
Fyodor Dostoevsky ★
• Fyodor thinks it's stupid at first, but when he realized you made money from it he learned to tolerate it. He wasn't too fond of the noise, though.
• I don't think he was too fond of the nickname 'discord kitten', always raising an eyebrow when he's called that, he also strongly dislikes brainrot cause what do you mean you're so sigma? No you're not, you're y/n. That's unrelated, but I thought I'd add that in there.
• "A discord what? Kitten? What even is that? I am nothing of the such."
• Catch him dead before he makes an appearance on camera, he much prefers to keep his business private. He doesn't mind you talking about him though, he loves that. He loves that people know you're already taken by him and that all those losers in your chat don't have a chance with you.
• Sometimes he'll watch your streams from a different room in attempt to understand your work and the art of gaming. He enjoys when you play horror games, especially the ones that get you thinking. He sometimes finds your facial expressions when you get jumpscared funnier than anything else in the stream.
• When it comes to the duration of your streams, Fyodor can entertain himself for as long as you need him to, but he can't help but feel like he'd rather be spending that time with you every now and again.
• He usually just takes the time to work on his DOA stuff, and occasionally he'll get so lost in it that he doesn't even realized you've finished with your stream and whenever that happens, you make some tea and go to fetch him to spend some quality time together, whether it's you laying in his lap while you both read a book or having a conversation about whatever comes to mind
Dazai Osamu ★
• Dazai is your #1 supporter since day one. There's a conversation going on about content creators? He's immediately bringing you up. You need new items for your set up? He's manifesting that said items go on sale ASAP!
• Oh my god, and he LOVES it when you get recognized in public. He's very prideful of you and likes that it's only him and a select group of people that get to see the real you outside of the camera frame.
• He, unlike Fyodor, does have an issue with the long hours, so he busies himself with the ADA and otherwise to keep himself from walking in and talking your ear off while you play your games for umpteen thousand people.
• He doesn't despise being called a discord kitten, but it does confuse him a little bit. But whatever, as long as you have 'my' in front of any name he doesn't care.
• Dazai watches your old streams when he's bored and can't help but giggle at the out of pocket or questionable things you say. He likes to watch the compilations of you on YouTube, too.
• Sometimes he'll quote you out of the blue.
• He doesn't like people trying to flirt with you or talk to you on the Internet as any partner wouldn't, so he is in the comment section of every post reading through individual comments. Type guy to see '❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥' comments on your posts and reply '🧯🧯🧯'
• All in all, Dazai is well received by your fanbase, especially the ones who don't try to romance you and are normal. They think he's funny and a good match for you.
Tumblr media
A/n; I hope it wasn't to short!!! I thought it was a cutsey idea, I think Nikolai would be pretty similar to Dazai in this scemario.

First off, I really hope James Somerton is OK. And I fully intend for this to be my last post about him, at least until we hear news.
The conversation around this is around Hbomberguy's 'responsibility' over this. Which, he has none. If James chooses to take his own life, that is his decision at the end of the day. That is not hbomb's fault. I know that sounds harsh, but as a person who used to have a 'friend' who would constantly tell me that they were going to kill themselves if I didn't talk them out of it, I maintain that it's not his fault.
The narrative around it being his fault really just screams to me: how dare you call out a creator for causing harm? Don't you understand that you're causing harm? You need to be more responsible with your platform.
But I just rewatched the video today, and Hbomb is absolutely fair in his criticism. Harsh? Yes, extremely. But he's fair. He also goes out of his way to say that we should not be harassing James and nobody should go after him. And I've been in the Hbomb subreddit, there are very clear rules about posting about James (and they had died down before the second apology happened).
When people bring up larger creators responsibility, it always just seems to this abstract concept that nobody can really pin down. But what about James's responsibility for his behaviour? James was called out multiple times, not only by members of his audience but also by the writers he stole from. Clearly he wasn't going to stop unless it became impossible to ignore.
"Well, hbomb knows how the internet works! People were going to harrass him!" Well, so does James Somerton. He knew the risk he was taking, he knew that people were noticing the plagiarism, and yet he continued to do it. Plus being misogynistic and spreading misinformation on top. (And as pointed out by a lovely person in the replies, he regularly sent harassment campaigns against people who called him out.)
In his patreon post about making his video, Todd in the Shadows describes how this was basically an open secret among a lot of video essayists. If this was just going to remain an open secret among creators, isn't that also an irresponsible use of their platform? Shouldn't the audience of a creator be made aware of their bad behavior? Shouldn't creators hold each other accountable?
Again. I hope James is okay. I hope he logs off the internet for good. But it is not Hbomb's fault, and the answer of "well Hbomb shouldn't have done it because now James may kill himself" just feels manipulative to me. Like did y'all want him to just continue letting James steal from other creators?

Lack of visibility in the feederism community
I saw a Reddit post about a lack of people of color in the feedism community, and I realized I want to expand on what I had as a reply. The issue is not a lack of POC in the community. There are lots of black male and female feedees, but they are often overshadowed or ignored. This is something that is always an issue in society, but it is more noticeable here since this is a community where not fitting the standard can lead to hate or being cased to the side. If you do not know any feedee of color or any race besides the norm, then I highly suggest you look for some. I would provide some, cause I would genuinely love to promote them. However, I do not want to include anyone in a post where the message is a sensitive topic like this. I might not get any hate or objections for it, but rather not take the rest and send toxic people are creators. I am sure we have all seen that happen time and time again. On the topic of being ostracized for being different, even when you fit the standard, there are always people who make it difficult to identify yourself in this kink space without fear of doxing. I and many others do not show our faces because of that fear. It sucks, I hate it and wish it would change. Not only does it make the community look smaller than it might be, but it does not lead to people feeling like this is an exclusive safe space. I am a feeder and feedee, but as a feeder, me and others need to remember how lucky we are to be able to engage in this space so easily without even showing a picture of ourselves. You can encourage or tease anyone with relative ease with just your words. Even on video, you don't have to show your face to feed someone else. A feedee does not have the same luxuries. You can be seen as fake for not wanting to share yourself, not like there are bad actors who add to those issues. However, it feels like you can not truly be a part of this community as a feedee unless you are showing your belly. I love this community, but who can honestly feel 100% safe when massive issues are coming from people who do not respect boundaries and hate being told they are doing something wrong? It is embarrassing to hear people call themselves feeders, and more importantly, members of this community, while also driving others away just because they do not answer a message fast enough. Back on the topic of POC. If you want to see more people in this space, we as a community need to be more welcoming to them. Some people are trying to do their best to create that space, but as a whole, we are failing. If I told you to name an African American feedee, of any gender, most couldn't even come up with a name. When it comes to ones who are even popular, I know 1 and only 1 that I could even say is the stereotypical definition of popular. That is not good. I won't act like I have been doing anything to make the space any easier to be a part of. I am not making it worse obviously, but inaction is still action. I hope while reading this, everyone in this community can continue this long journey of making it a better more inclusive place. Also, doesn't matter what size, gender, or race you are, you are a feedee. If that message wasn't strong enough from the beginning. Nobody gets to take that title away from you just because you wanted to lose weight or stop posting. Even if you never posted a picture or video, you belong here too.

aita for informing someone that a meme was made by a problematic person?
i (18F) attend this youth group run by and for queer people to meet other queer people my age. this means that the other members are usually well versed in memes and internet culture. yesterday at the group i heard someone (18 ish? NB) constantly referencing the dj crazy times tiktoks and i immediately felt uncomfortable. i had recently learned that the creator had made a handful of tiktoks purely making fun of kids with autistic traits titled "kids who are no fun" (ive seen the proof i promise im not pulling this out of my ass) and as an autistic person myself it pissed me off that he can still gain support despite that.
i also know the person who was referencing the tiktoks and showing them to other people is autistic. i didnt want to be confrontational or judgemental, i just wanted to let them know what they were supporting. i tried to hold off saying anything because i didnt want to potentially harsh the vibes at the youth group but this person kept referencing the meme over and over and it was upsetting me.
i went up to them and asked if it was okay if i shared potentially upsetting news to which i realized i said that in front of the group and everyone was staring at us. (which luckily wasn't many but still frightening) then i informed them about the other content that dj crazy times makes as non-aggressively and non-confrontationally as i could. to which they replied "well, im autistic and i like it so im gonna keep enjoying his music" (not paraphrasing)
i backed off because i knew arguing wouldn't do anything productive or respectful. i basically said "yeah haha i just wanted to let you know" and then nitpicked the conversation in my head the rest of the night. it upset me how someone could still support someone after learning something like that especially when you're the one affected, but i suppose it could be a separating art from the artist type of deal.
anyway, i worry that i pulled a dick move by doing that especially in front of everyone. if i were to redo the conversation i wouldve brought them aside and told him that the meme made me personally uncomfortable for those reasons and just asked them to stop referencing it around me. but thats not what happened unfortunately.
so tumblr, aita ?
for info: as far as i know the videos are not deleted or held accountable for. if anyone knows if he's changed his ways please tell me 👍
What are these acronyms?

This moment when you learn that Adventurine is Romani and that his entire planet is named with a word that in both english and slavic are considered slurs against Romani people... I guess the galaxy at large is anti-Roma if they called that planet Sigonia-IV. If Hoyo doesn't give us info that this planet was actually named differently by the people living on it that wasn't named a giant slur, then I'll have to assume that Hoyo is ok with naming a whole ass planet full of Romani-based people with a slur used against those people. And it's bad. At least Adventurine's clan is named somewhat nicely, but what does it change when every single one of them was killed and Adventurine is the only survivor?
I can't shake the feeling it's a very racist portrayal, because the meta message basically assumes that a Roma-based character can't have anything akin to a normal life. That they have to suffer, lose everybody, and become a tragic character "working" for a huge space corporation that couldn't care less about people. Only to ultimately "die" for the sake of said corporation and possibly never be able to come back from the state of spiritual death. And even if he managed, he knows that all his achievements were monopolized by that corporation and that he has virtually nothing to his name and nobody to come back to. The only positive is that he is supposedly blessed with luck by Gaiathra.
Don't take me wrong disgussing the tragedy that happens to minority groups is important and should be done in media, but there is also a point often brought up that if your group is constantly represented as struggling to get by and opressed and nothing else then people start to internalize the idea that this is the only way those characters and people they're based on can live. That there is no normalcy that they have in life, so no normalcy is expected from their portrayals. This happened to queer people. We all grew tired of being constantly only represented as a group whose only point in the story is to be visibly opressed and that we never got a chance to have normal lives as well.
If he comes back, will Hoyo give him a better life? We will see.
Still... the implications are so ugh. I can't speak more about it as I'm not Roma and I definitely don't understand the stuff enough to say anything substancial, but this just looks kind of bad as it is now.
Fortunately there are Roma creators I can direct you to for better insight in regard to Adventurine and his roma-based heritage:
In addition to the video: When I learned that Adventurine (Kakavasha) is supposed to be Romani his design stopped being ok to me. Because it means Hoyo appropriated a real life oppression of a group so they could then stick it to a white guy in a video game. It says a lot about Hoyo, who already had similar issues in Genshin Impact before. It feels like Hoyo fears melanin, because there are other Chinese video game studios who don't stray from using dark skintone on their characters and those characters are selling pretty well, so what's the issue?

Quick additional point about "engaging with the material" vs "engaging with the narrative". Ahem:
"Midi-chlorians?!"
So a while ago, Pablo Hidalgo stated his headcanon about the Jedi and the Prequels on Twitter. Here's what he said in the midi-chlorians section.
Tumblr media
(which is cool, to each his own headcanon)
And also, he wasn't all alone in having this interpretation of the midi-chlorians anyway, it's a pretty popular read.
Tumblr media
Hell, it's a more charitable approach than other SW creators had:
Tumblr media
Couple of years ago, I sent Hidalgo a reply to another tweet he wrote and was lucky enough to get an answer:
Tumblr media
He confirms that the midi-chlorians are not intended to come across as a soulless way to look at potential (which tracks; again, he was only stating his headcanon, years prior)... but the second half of that response is what interests me.
Because if we're talking about the 2000s and early 2010s, when hating the Prequels was so popular and the options before you were:
Make a video-critique/op ed/comment on a forum/documentary about "why the Prequels suck and George Lucas raped my childhood!" ...
... or 2) think of a headcanon that makes the movies bearable to you.
I think - at that time - the latter one was a much more praise-worthy approach.
Instead of ranting about "midi-chlorians are shit, you don't need to explain the Force!" some people, namely Star Wars creators at the time, picked up the baton and thought "okay, so now we've got midi-chlorians... how do I engage with this?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back then, asking these fans & writers to take it a step further and engage not just with the material but with the narrative, would've been too much to ask.
They were already giving George Lucas a lot of rope as it was.
But now we're in the 2020s, the kids who grew up with the Prequels are adults and George is used as "word of God", constantly brought up to make authority arguments by both fans and creators.
So I think it's only consistent that, in addition to his material, we now begin to engage with his narrative. We should take that next step.
And if you look at what he had to say about midi-chlorians...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
... it doesn't look like they're "narratively-designed to be soulless".
They're a metaphor for symbiosis, they're a different outlook on why the Force is so cool and how all-encompassing it is, etc.
And if we're willing to do that re: midi-chlorians, maybe we should start doing the same with the Jedi.
Alternatively: we all say "death of the author" and agree to stop invoking Lucas to legitimize our productions or our headcanons and win our debates.

I just rounded off my period so a massive L to all of you I suppose /lhj
I'm in so much pain about the Wilbur situation in general and have so many mixed feelings. Like I've only just got a chance to sit down and read his 'apology' and all of the replies from content creators and (ex)fans alike. I was so close to throwing up that I had to close the tab /gen.
I've never really watched Shubble content, nor have I had a chance to watch her full vod on the issue, so my first instinct was to be a good little media sieve and try to be open-minded before making an opinion. I won't lie, I was trying very hard to convince myself that it wasn't Wilbur and everyone was jumping to conclusions (though the more I read made that less and less likely).
I was worried for Wilbur's group (tommy, phil, charlie etc) because there was no way they could stream without being harassed by it, and worried partially for Wilbur as well because of various mental health problems that he's admitted to in the past.
Now that he's responded, though, everything's so much worse. As someone who struggled with being on the victim side of abuse for a while, I feel awful for Shelby and everything that happened to her.
Charlie, Ranboo, Tubbo etc have all responded (most very passionately so I have no doubt where they stand), so that's good for them, but tommy and phil have yet to. I can't help but wonder if Techno knew, if it had even started by then or if Wilbur didn't tell him.
I've seen people making reasonable assumptions about signs in past content that may have pointed to Wilbur's abuse, but there are some people making reaches that don't even make sense and now I can barely consume content or even remember videos that i used to be fond of without worrying that it was just Wilbur manipulating people.
Also, as far as I'm aware, none of lovejoy have replied to the situation (apart from the ex trumpeter), so ash, mark and joe are getting hate when they haven't done anything (though I may have just not seen it yet).
Some part of my brain is convinced this is all some horrible nightmare and I'll wake up able to laugh and joke about SBI content with my friends, even if I know that'll likely never happen again.
If there's one thing for certain, it's that his response was not an apology. I do believe that he thought long and hard about it (even if it was just for superficial PR reasons) and maybe ran it by people he trusted, but it was not what he should have said in response to Shelby coming forward about his abuse. All he's done is dig a bigger hole and now thousands of his (ex)supporters have to live with the consequences of his actions.
Honestly, I just feel sad. Sad that it happened, sad that Wilbur isn't who I thought he was and sad that my life will be drastically different from here on out.
Sorry that that was so heavy. I just feel really confused and there's a pit in my stomach that's churning horribly.
-🌺 <3
oh of course SOMEONE just had to finish their period right when the rest of us get it smh /lh
yeah, this is such a horrible situation overall. for me at least his response made the situation somewhat more tolerable because it felt like a closure moment. it made me realize, oh, he was really awful the entire time and this shit apology proves it. however, I'm sure in a few days the reality will hit me and I'll feel awful again. it's not fun realizing someone you admired and were a fan of for so long was a completely different kind of person than the guy he presented himself as.
I don't know where you heard that charlie responded, because as far as I'm aware he has not said anything anywhere about this situation yet.
I also don't think it's very worthwhile for people to be combing through old vods and videos for 'questionable moments' they can point at and be like "look he was abusive the whole time!" because we don't know what's going on in cc's personal lives. more than anything that should be the take away here. we don't know these people, we don't know their personal relationships, we shouldn't be trying to pinpoint every questionable moment and prove something with it because we're not in these personal relationships with wilbur. the other cc's are. basically, don't overthink what you see in old vods or old videos. it's not going to help whatsoever and it's none of our business.
I've also had the thought that this feels like a nightmare I could wake up from. I've had that thought every day since shelby's stream first happened. but unfortunately that's not the case, and we need to focus instead on supporting the victims here
I'm sorry there's not much I can say to help. just try to take care of yourself. give yourself time. it'll get a bit easier with each passing day.

So what happened exactly? (and a little timeline from what I have observed)
It started around March. AJ/Dilan was talking to Inquisitor3 (Vincent) on discord since she did some edits for him and I think he just wanted to be nice to her. Later on she already tried to expose him after trying to get him to flirt back to her which was I think her first attempt at exposing him (cue several screenshots of her talking to Tito mentioning they tried to expose/cancel him before and it didn't work & screenshots of him calling out AJ/Dilan in DMs because he saw her attempt at doing so.
Now, I don't know how long she's been scheming this whole thing along with Tito (her boyfriend) but from screenshots between them it's clear it's been months.
Tito encourages her to try harder because they don't have enough "proof"/enough entrapment material to set him up.
During this conversation Tito not only supports her and further pushes her to do so, AJ/Dilan isn't stupid, she is also quite obsessed with the idea of cancelling him.
She mentions hes live and mentions she needs someone called "Pippy" to answer back to her [for further planning I suppose but this person may be involved in this too].
Tito mentions he wants to speak to his other parent about AJ/Dilan so they know about her --> Dilan barely acknowledges that and then jumps straight back to talking about Inquisitor3. Then asks her own boyfriend if its okay if she "flirts" with Inquisitor3.
Very strange dynamic they have but even further proof that she is obsessed with him.
They message Keegan's Mask on tiktok, she tries to "help" apparently (I take it as being purposefully happy about someone in the community getting cancelled as her previous videos have been bordering on roasting/bullying other content creators in the hopes of being funny) and she makes a video of him. Now she has almost 300k followers and her fanbase picks it up rather quickly.
It blows up and Inquisitor3 deactivates all of his accounts.
What happens next?
I personally went onto tiktok to find some videos addressing the whole issue. Most of the videos I find aren't really viral so I check the comments.
I see someone commenting in all caps "IM THE GIRL HE WAS TALKING TO" (don't quote me on that I don't know if she wrote minor or girl but this was about it).
Her replies were full of support but I found her comment incredibly weird and off-putting.
There were many comments so I scrolled further down and saw Turkish Terminator's comment (same one who made the video explaining the situation so kudos to him for knowing all of this before and trying to tell people) that he was talking about AJ and her using slurs and what not.
So this brings me back to my original thought as to how this AJ person is this involved and proud about being the person in question and then also being someone who is problematic on whole other levels.
Meanwhile Tito is bragging in comments about how it's his girlfriend that was targeted.
Three days ago Inquisitor3's tiktok account is back up. He's on live for several hours but I couldn't join.
I commented on one of his recent videos asking for clarification and update about the accusations just to a few hours later receive a reply in which someone stated that he's dead.
Inquisitor3 had been on live for around 2 hours with nothing but silence, the room was mostly dark and the camera was facing his glass door. The comments were off. Keegans Mask meanwhile was making fun of this same live.
After 2 hours or so, someone breaks the glass in, pushes inside and you can hear the panic in his voice as he tries helping Vincent (Inquisitor3). This goes on for a while as more neighbours come around to help I suppose? They call paramedics and it's all caught on live until they turn it off.
So lets circle back. AJ came forward to say that the accusations were false.
Tito pretended he wasn't involved at all.
And Keegans Mask made a tiktok wistfully looking out the window as if a man hasn't just ended his life on tiktok live.
AJ immediately went into hiding right after, changed her discord username and responded to a comment on one of her tiktok accounts that she's been crying and praying all night for him and didn't want any of that to happen.
Meanwhile Vincent's real life friends/mutuals came forward to confirm that he has passed and Turkish Terminator made the video about him explaining the situation further for everyone's understanding and naming all three involved in these accusations and set up: AJ, Tito and Keegans Mask (which I think was the right thing to do.) Yes, Keegans Mask may not have been part of the set up but she is just as wrong.
So why did this happen?
In my opinion AJ is/was obsessed with Vincent. I think that is why Tito also played into it because it bothered him without him openly mentioning or confirming this fact. From their exchanges it's very clear of how she ignored Tito to obsess over Vincent. Ultimately she did all this because she wahted his attention.
Later that day Vincent's father also came forward to confirm his sons passing with a video.
Turkish Terminator made another video confirming this also and has been in contact with Vincent's father to make sure his source is right unlike some other people.
Now the community is obviously shaken up and upset and due to AJ's hiding she's lucky she's not getting tagged in most videos addressing these things. Minor or not she was the main culprit and needs to face consequences for pushing a man to end his life.
I cannot even begin to mention how it bothers me that in most videos now people only mention Tito and Keegans Mask or simply call Dilan Titos girlfriend. She needs to be named too.
All three have posted "apology videos" yet I find they lack responsibility and empathy.
Dilan deleted her apology account quickly again and Keegans Mask is currently deactivated. Tito still pretends to be mostly innocent and pretends to have broken up with Dilan and say that her accounts have been removed (which are lies).
She's also back on discord and chats with people claiming she wants to end it and Tito claims she attempted, yet the conversations that I have seen from her make it visible that she lacks any empathy in this situation still and sees herself as the victim.
I'm not here for a witch hunt I am simpy here to explain what I've observed and want these people included to face serious consequences.
Screenshots incoming soon as I am still collecting the ones I've seen floating around + extra ones and I'm currently at the beach with the worst internet connection.

Idk content creators on all platforms give their account as a free breeding ground for JM antis. I've seen videos filled with Jimin hate but zero action from account owner, that's what happens when you give followes, clout and likes more importance that artist you apparently love and stan. I have a youtube account with a video hit 1M+ views. I have Jimin, Jikook, Jikook analysis edits which WILL invite all sorts of Jikook antis but still I filter all comments DAILY and delete/block antis. It's not at all difficult for me to be accountable for the contents i put out and protect the artists in that video. I dont even leave it in channel thinking some other jkk will give them answers, it's just a click of delete button. Simple.
I've been asked by that breed why I'm deleting their comments and I delete that too lol. So I don't understand how these so called ot7 channels are giving a platform for antis without a guilt feeling.
Because deep down they also hate Jimin.
Tumblr media
If u truly are ot7 it would hurt you to see people shit on a member and u wouldn't prioritise engagement and views over that. Especially on copyrighted shit where u aint even making any money. Thats why I love this dude.
youtube
He is proper ot7 and definitely a Jikooker. He acts like he's not a Jikooker, but he definitely is. 🤭🤭
Because he reacts to other members, its not just Jikookers who visit his channel. So when he reacted to letter
youtube
The comment section was full of JK solos talking about how Jimin needed JK and used him for clout. Right. On a hidden track that wasn't even on streaming platforms. That makes sense ig 🙄🙄
Anyway, loads of antis showed up. I know this because I was all over that comment section fighting them. N Of course some other people too. You know what he did? Exactly what u just said. He deleted all the negative rude ass comments. Each and every one of them. Yet he still left those of us who were replying so some comments were not making sense and I found that so funny 😂😂😂 (he never deletes "shipping" comments either. Sometimes even likes them 🤭)
Idk what the situation is rn but I remember at the time being so impressed and wondering why more people don't do this shit. So anon you are right on the money with that one, for sure.
It would be so easy to deny antis a voice but I'm not sure what OT7 even means anymore 😒

SMG4 drama hot take.... the "Luke innocent" people on twitter are really annoying and makes accessing actually important information harder, considering how much they just need to talk about how he isn't "at fault" first of all, it would be better if we like, Idk focused on people's experiences who worked at Glitch and had a bad time, instead of trying to angrily point fingers. Besides he's not innocent, he's complicit and kind of insensitive with the way he replied to Celeste. A simple thanks doesn't cut it for the kind of work she did for them, like come on. Anyways speaking on the workers! With how the days go by and we only see more and more testimonies about how the default at Glitch is crunch basically- And Glitch's guilty sounding silence- Like genuinely, if in some absolutely unbelivable way it came out that somehow all the information we've been seeing is wrong, they would've spoken out about it somewhere already. But they didn't. For me it just makes me more sure that these people are not lying
Hi yes I totally see where you're coming from, I don't use twitter (thankfully) so I haven't seen most of the takes people have on there, but the "Luke is innocent" one I've seen thrown around a lot.
To put it so bluntly, no he's fucking not. Yes maybe he wasn't given all the right information on Celestes replacement, and yes his role as CCO doesn't really give him initial choice over the desicions for casting at Glitch (from what I gathered a CCO is more for comersial management), that doesn't make him blameless, he's still, you know, THE FUCKING CO-FOUNDER OF GLITCH IT SAYS IT ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE AAAARHGGHHGHGH.
Tumblr media
Sorry I got annoyed, anyway it is still possible that he wasn't informed of this situation fully, but I agree that a "oops, sorry" isn't really the best thing to say to someone you just dropped after 6 years of work, and the silence afterwards when asked for more clarification is even worse. Luke isn't the same innocent teenager making funny Mario videos in his room anymore, he's nearly the same age as me, he's a grown man with a company, stop making excuses for him.
The workers' complaints are also getting overshadowed by this and it's definitely just as big of an issue. You'd think that a company created by two creators themselves would have a better idea and understanding on how to assign work to people without causing insane amounts of pressure, but I guess not. This comes across as just very bad management and taking on too much at once. Being ambitious is fine for a company, it's how they grow, but it should never come at the physical and mental expense of your workers.
The idea that these workes would be lying is just so fucked up as well, from what I've seen basically every glassdoor review says that the best part of working there is the people, this isn't some kind of smear campaign! This is genuine criticism of a company that doesn't have a grasp on how to run and manage their staff. I figured a company like Glitch would have some kind of crunch time to it, just given the nature of it, but I never thought it would be this bad.
The focus of this should 100% be on getting accountability from Glitch, not trying to weasel them out of it by saying "well only these two people are to blame", Glitch is the company making decisions here, even if said decision was supposedly made by those two people, this reflects on the company as a whole.
I know Glitch is a fairly non confrontational company and they don't like to address controversy or issues openly, but this whole situation is like a gaping wound, they can't really brush it off so easily without facing backlash. As I've said before I can only hope that this gets resolved and some kind of apology is given, I don't want to support a company that treats their employees like this.

I've been in the IF fandom for almost two years now, and I don't think I've ever found a fandom I've liked as much. I like the community here, the stories, creativity, how diverse the games are compared to other media I see.
I like reading IF, but more than that I'd really to create an IF game myself. I've been creating stories since childhood and I've always wanted to tell them to other people. However, I was never able to find a suitable medium for doing so. Creating video games is a passion that met reality and died too fast, writing traditional books makes me incredibly anxious, and comic and visual novels require way too much drawing when I'm a concept artist at best. And IF... IF seems to be exactly what I was always searching for. But here's a twist.
I'm not a writer. I'm really not. The amount of writing that I've done that wasn't for my studies is... not a lot. Which makes me extremely self-conscious of my writing, and I'm a very anxious person to start with (and English not being my native language doesn't help). I just don't know where to start, I've never even written fanfiction. And then if I end up actually writing something and posting it for people to see, I'm afraid of what they'll say, of me not being good enough, or of people being uninterested in anything I create. It's dreadful really. And I know that this feeling is possibly shared by so many other people, but I just don't know what to do about it.
I had wanted to post this earlier, but Tumblr ate my essay again...
Welcome, Anon, to the wonders of IF! Have a seat, and a cookie, and enjoy the ride! It's quite the experience, you'll see...
Totes understand your worries. With so many good projects out there, it's easy to not feel... adequate (in writing or proficiency); and with many in the community having opinions, to be unsure whether to publish said work.
But here's the thing: many of us in the IF community (especially as hobbyist) have not studied writing (for a while or at all)* or are writers either, and quite a few of us are ESL (hi, hello!)**. So you are in very good company!! *sidenote: some of us consider ourselves game dev/creators before writers too. **Dear... you wrote an essay of an ask with no mistake (that I could find) - I would not have guessed you were not a native speaker, if you hadn't said it before.
To relieve those anxious feelings, here are some advice, from one ball of anxiety to another one:
You don't have to publish anything you don't want to have public. If you prefer to write for yourself and yourself only, it's more than fine. Having fun is what matters.
There are ways to "hide" your project from searches (on itch or tumblr) to have a bit more privacy, as well as disabling replies/comments/ratings...
Setting boundaries from the beginning with people interacting with your projects (whether it is in asks, or doing beta/feedback rounds/etc...) can also be quite helpful (even if some people don't follow them...).
Join writing groups and share snippets/ask for feedback. It's helpful to get some boosts of confidence and get pointers on how to improve.
Have beta/playtest rounds for longer feedback needs (like when you are ready to upload/update a demo, to catch bugs or typos and stuff).
Joining game jams with small projects can help with testing ideas/stories/gameplay, and get comments/feedback from people.
Anyway, we all start somewhere, and very often (most always) that somewhere is not good at all. But that's ok :) There's always room and time for improvement and change (until you're finally happy with it). The beauty of online games is that you can always tweak it and fix it when something doesn't feel right. Nothing is ever set in stone!
Good luck :)

Just saw that "callout" post you were referencing to and checked the profile, OF COURSE IT'S A MINOR TRYING TO GET INVOLVED. Like dude you have nsfw dni on your shit by default, why are you getting involved on a nsfw comic? And yeah, are you really about to beg the man, who made a fucked up version of Pey'j who's literally in love with his adopted niece and an around middle aged Alex who openly thirsted over and fucked a just turned 18 year old Dolph, to block TVabyss because of 'rayfrog noncon relationship' comic? What those people in the replies shouldn't be doing is encouraging this, Adi and/or Bobby pills are ultimately not going to care about a non issue, it's telling this minor NOT TO INTERACT WITH POTENTIALLY NSFW ACCOUNTS.
Yeah I was originally gonna share a screenshot of the actual tweet but decided against it. Unfortunately not only is some of the people replying to them also minors , but adults in the CLH fandom actually normalised this behaviour when you look at previous dramas that's happened (which is just a common occurrence in the modern internet space unfortunately)
See people seem to love blaming CLH for this kinda of drama in the sense of "oh no theres freaks drawing freaky shit!" But fail to realise those "freaks" are not the ones exposing porn to minors, it's the wholesome ones who shit talk the "freaks" that's sharing porn to minors that they normally wouldn't have found otherwise
The general pattern goes like this:
Artist draws weird porn on their own corner of the internet that's tagged -> someone who isn't into it stumbles upon it -> instead of blocking , the person saves the porn on their own hard drives and reposts it to their sfw account so they can share how gross and "morally wrong" the artist is -> minors following the sfw account see the reposted porn -> rinse and repeat, learn jack shit from the experience
The only sorta exception was maybe a now deleted google doc on this chick who didn't do a good job of keeping nsfw stuff unconnected to her sfw account while having a following full of minors. She was also allegedly a transphobe/homophobe but take that with a grain of salt because that doc (based on memory) was focused more on showing off the cartoon porn she liked than her actual behaviour, the doc even tried claiming that being a shipper of Rayman x Raymesis meant being an incest suppprter
Shockingly it turned out the person who made that doc did nsfw work using hentai as a reference, and if you seen Gigguk and Sydney videos on hentai, you know just how much of a massive hypocrite the doc creator turned out to be. So if you see an artwork of Rayman holding a sign saying "I don't support illegality" or whatever, just know the context was that
At this point I've gotten into the habit of blocking people who make call outs over what people draw fictional characters doing
Even had a weird experience of one of those people asking why I unfollowed them and when I said I wasn't comfortable saying why, they tried pushing me to tell them so I had to block them

genuine question. why all the hateful language? I don’t see fic writers talking shit about gif makers or belittling the time and effort it takes to post their gifs. “banging out on a keyboard” is such a demeaning way to talk about something a person put their heart in. I don’t think you would appreciate if someone said that all you do is rearrange frames and save them as a gif. I just don’t think this feud is necessary. You can be upset about reposting without dragging writers 24/7. And i know it’s your blog and you’re entitled to do whatever you want with it, and I know you’ll probably mock me if you choose to reply to this ask and the gif makers will all join you. But it had to be said. There doesn’t need to be a competition between stays.. people can coexist.
anon, first of all i'm sorry if the wording offended you, i aknowledge that wasn't a very nice thing to say, sorry.
now to answer your ask: i'm tired. and pissed off. mostly tired tho. and i say this as someone who LOVES reading fics and often saves and leaves comments on them on because i know receiving a compliment on something you poured your heart into can make your day. on the other hand, do you know how many times i've been told by reposters to "chill out, it's just a gif" when i politely asked them to remove my content from their blogs/posts both here and on twitter? it's like the standard go-to reply, just ask any gifmaker on this site
it's always annoying but coming from another content creator that should know how much time and effort goes into making something, being it editing a crusty 720p video file or writing and editing and rewriting again the same paragraph til it looks perfect... it's a bit ironic and it hurts twice as much tbh it's like a slap to the face
also just to be clear, i dont have any beef with fic writers. most of them know it's not a nice thing to do precisely for the points i listed before and will ask you beforehand if they want to use one of your gifs, i've got no problem with that. i made one (1) post complaining about a recurring issue because it's the nth time this happened to a friend, and the person in question is both a fic writer and a known reposter who was caught stealing stuff once altready, that's it. i'm not mocking you, i'm genuinely frustrated at this whole situation.
and you're right there should be no competition, i just think respecting other people's craft should go both ways and people on twitter apparently didn't get the memo

I would honestly appreciate any responses to this, I would love to get people's opinions and/or start a discourse. I'm sorry if any of this is controversial, I've just had this on my mind a lot lately.
Okay, so I grew up with Harry Potter. It was one of the first "big kid" books that I read as a child, I was an early reader and an undiagnosed neurodivergent kid so I immersed myself fully in the universe. It became one of my special interests and it has continued to be so for most of my life. It was an escape from an abusive upbringing, and a focus of my maladaptive day dreaming, a safe space. I spent a great deal of time with the books, films and video games. As such, I am very much attached to the series.
That being said, I understand all of the controversy surrounding the series and it's creator. I understand the insensitive racial stereotypes that were written into the books, and I know that the author turned out to be an awful person. I am nonbinary and my brother is trans, so the transphobia that JKR is so open about is very disturbing to me (it would be even if I wasn't a part of the community, but it hits very close to home). I regretfully went to Harry Potter world when I was at Universal Studios a few years ago, and I regret giving any money to JKR or her cronies. Other than the trip to Universal Studios, I have not spent any money on the HP fandom directly since JKR came out with her transphobic views.
I have talked to my brother about the upcoming HP Legacy video game, where I expressed my excitement of having a modern version of the OOTP video game I obsessed over when I was younger, but also expressed trepidation at wanting to spend any money that would directly or indirectly line JKR's pockets. He encouraged me to go through with buying the game anyway (or asking for it as a birthday present), saying I could recognize that I disagreed with her beliefs while still getting to enjoy something I had been looking forward to for years. I still don't know where I stand on this.
Even aside from the moral implications of spending money on the franchise, I have seen a lot of hate on Tumblr for people that still enjoy being a part of the fandom, regardless of if they financially contribute to it or not. I saw a popular post saying they wish the entire fandom would "disappear off the face of the earth" or something like that.
At this point, I use an already paid for HBO subscription to watch the films, and read a LOT of fanfiction, and that is the extent to my interaction with the fandom. What are people's viewpoints on interacting with the fandom without contributing financially towards JKR's bigotry? I honestly find pride in the HP fanfiction community, because they have reclaimed something that meant so much to them, and removed that awful transphobe from the community entirely.
I would love to hear anybody's ideas on this, regardless of where you stand on the issue. I don't know if this will even get views or not, but I would like to learn more and hear more people's opinions. And not in an "I'm too lazy to Google why transphobia's bad" way, in a "I genuinely want to hear from individual people that feel passionately about this" way.
If anyone does reply to or reblog this, I appreciate it!
