Before starting T, when I socially transitionned, I was surrounded by radical feminists who saw masculinity as gross and inherently evil, something to avoid, something to make fun of, something to destroy. The other transmascs in my friend group, sometimes, told me that they didn’t knew if they really were non-binary or if they just were scared shitless of saying “I am a man”. Because they saw this as a betrayal to their younger self who had been SAd and abused.

I saw many of my masc friends and trans men around me hate themselves, not outing themselves as men because it would imply so so much, it was like opening the Pandora Box. Even when we were just together, talking about our masculinity was always coated with bits like “I know we’re the privileged ones but…”, “I don’t want to sound like I have it bad but…”, “Women obviously have it worse, but last time…” and we were talking about terrible traumas we experienced while taking all the precautions in the world in the case the walls were a crowd of people in disguise waiting to get us if we didn’t downplay the violence we faced, or like crying and being upset and being traumatized and afraid and scared and to say it out loud would make us throw up the needles we were forced to swallow every second of every day living in our skin.

Most of us weren’t on T yet, some of us were catcalled every day and harassed in the streets or in abusive relationships nobody seemed to care to help them get out of because they were “strong enough” to do it by themselves.

I was using the gender swap face app and cried for ours when I saw my father looking back at me through the screen. The idea of transforming, of shedding into a body that would deprive me of love, tenderness, and safety, was absolutely terrifying. I knew I couldn’t stay in this body any longer because it wasn’t mine, but I also knew that if I was going to look like my dad, my brother, my abusers, it would be so much worse.

5 years later and I’m almost 2 years on T, and almost 2 months post top surgery.

I ditched my previous group of friends. I was bullied out of my local trans community. But let me tell you how free I am.

I was scared that T would break my singing voice: it made it sound more alive than ever.

I was scared that T would make me less attractive: it made me find myself hot for the first time in my life.

I was scared that T would make me gain weight: it did. But the weight I put on is not the weight I used to put on by binging and eating my body until I forgot that it even existed. It’s the weight of my body belonging to me, little by little. The wolf hunger for life.

I won’t tell you the same story I see everywhere, the one that goes “I started going to the gym 8 times a week, I put on some muscles, I started a diet and now I look like an action film actor”, in fact if you took pictures of me from 5 years ago vs now I’d just have more acne, I’d have longer hair and still look like I don’t know what to do with myself when I take selfies.

But the sparkle in my eyes, my smile, tell the whole story way better than this long ass stream of words could ever.

I want to say some things that I wish someone told me before starting medically transitionning.

It’s okay to take your time. It’s your body, it’s your journey, if you don’t feel comfortable taking full doses and want to go slow, the only voice you need to listen to is your own. Do what feels right.

If you feel overwhelmed, it’s okay to take a break, it’s okay to ask for support.

Trans people are holy. Everyone is. You didn’t lose your angel wings when you came out because you want to be masculine. You are not excluded from the joy of existence, from being proud of yourself, from being sad, from being scared, from being angry. The emotions and feelings you allowed yourself to feel while processing what you experienced when you grew up as a girl and was seen as a woman are still as valid as before. Nobody can take that from you. If someone tries to, don’t let them.

It’s perfectly normal to grieve some things you were and had before you started to transition, like your high soprano voice or even your chest. Hatching is painful. You can find comfort in things that don’t feel right, so making the decision to change can be incredibly scary and weird and you deserve to be heard and supported through this. Wanting top surgery doesn’t make the surgery less intense, less terrifying, less painful to recover from. When it becomes too much you have the right to take a break and take some deep breaths before going on.

You don’t have to have a radical, 180° change for your transition to be acceptable or valid or worthy of praise. Look at how far you’ve come already. It doesn’t have to show, you’re not made to be a spectacle, you’re human and it is your journey.

Oh, and last thing, you know when some people say “Oh this trans person has to grow out of the cringy phase where you think that you can write essays about being trans or transitionning or just their experience because it’s weird” ? If you ever hear this or see this online, remember all the people whose writing you read and, even if they were not professional writers, helped you more than any theorists did ? If you want to write, do it. It won’t be a waste. It can help people. Or it won’t, and even then, if it helped you, that’s enough.

But, since then there have been numerous rumors about them being in a relationship. This is some moments when the internet nearly exploded when they’ve been seen/spotted together, moments that could confirm their relationship. 1) (your birthday) 2022, 11:31pm

Y/n posted a video on Instagram. Someone was inside, in the dark (at first we couldn’t see anything, but we could hear some whispers). We can hear a door opening, and y/n talking to someone before laughing. The door’s closing, when then can hear a male voice (that looked A LOT like Pedro’s voice), then the light was turned on and screams. That’s right, it was a surprise party. And it was indeed Pedro next to y/n.

With the video, there was a picture. A selfie that y/n took, with everyone behind her. But right next to her, there was Pedro.

The caption: “Thank you Pedro for organizing this, I love you so much. I’ve never been more thankful for my friends than today. Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone”

2) Y/n appears a lot in pictures with Pedro when he is out with some friends and vice versa. They seem to be spending a lot of time together. We also noticed that wherever Pedro was, Y/n was in the same city, during the same timeframe. We don’t know who follows who, but where one goes, the other is there too.

3) 18th August 2022, 4:13pm

A friend of Pedro posted a picture of them together. His friend was sitting on a chair, outside, Pedro was standing next to him. They were both only wearing bathing suits. But, we could spot y/n in the reflection of the glass door behind. She was standing there, holding her phone on her right hand, and on the other holding a glass.

4) 7th September 2022, during the afternoon

Y/n was spotted in New-York, walking in the streets, probably doing some errands. She was alone, but it was how she was dressed that raised some suspicion. She was wearing a large pink sweatshirt (the same that Pedro was wearing during the lie-detector interview), with a pair of black jeans.

Later in the afternoon she was also seen getting in a car that looked like Pedro’s. But no one actually saw who was driving.

5) 16th march 2023, around 7pm

One day, after Bella posted a lot of behind the scenes pictures on The Last of us set, Pedro did the same. He posted a few pictures and videos. In one of the picture, it was a group picture, Pedro, Bella, two infected, and.. y/n. What? It seems like they always move together.

6) 2nd April 2023, 2:56pm

Javiera, Pedro’s sister, posted a picture on her Instagram. It was a group photo. There was Pedro’s family, all gathered around the table, having lunch together. His entire family was here, but we could spot y/n next to Pedro. So if it was only family, why was she here?

You know what, season 2 broke a lot of our hearts, didn't it? Well, here's some moments I thought were funny, heartwarming and just off the wall to lighten things up!

One, where did Suguru get the robes from? Two, given he was born the following year in February after Satoru, if I did my calculations right... Suguru really started a cult at 17. No wonder there were objections. After he killed that guy, I'm sure everyone was like "oh, he's unhinged".

Alessandra woke up and as normal 22 year old, took her phone to check her social media after one of the best nights out she ever had, she remembered some parts of the night but the others felt like a distant memory; she opened up Instagram to see and she had a new verified follower, someone called “Tom Blyth” she knew a lot of Tom’s but not a single one was famous so when Alessandra touch his profile pic and went to his profile she got hit whit the memory of the tall man with a buzz cut, she couldn’t believe that she fooled around with an actor in a random club in a night out.

“GIULIANA COME HERE” she screamed calling her best friend to tell her the crazy news, Giuliana and Alessandra have been best friend since they were 3 years old, they met in a little ballet academy in Naples, both have dreamed of dancing around the world and they ended up living together in Berlin and dancing for Staatsballett; Alessandra heard the steps coming closer and then she saw her door being open by her friend.

“Girl it’s 8 am, stop screaming” Giuliana said, “shut up and listen to me, remember last night when I got lost from you guys?” Alessandra asked thrilled to tell the whole story, her friend nodded so she can continue with the story, “Well I ended up dancing and making out with this cute tall man and I guess at some point I had to tell him my ig because now he’s following me” she said.

“I don’t see what’s the issue here” Giuliana said with a confused look, “HES A FUCKING BRITISH ACTOR” Alessandra screamed excited while her best friend was in completely shock, “you need to post a thirst trap right now” Giuli said with a playful look in her face, “I’m going to follow him up first and maybe I’ll post it later, I don’t know this is fucking wild” Alessandra said while opening up Instagram again to follow Tom.

Alessandra kept her day going without stressing too much about the topic, she knew he must be busy working on Germany or maybe he’s traveling with some friends so she wouldn’t want to distract him with a text but maybe it was a good idea to post a little selfie on her stories just to taste the waters.

Here we go again. The criticism of SH’s Sassanach Gin tour is as expected. Not everyone has to like what he does. That’s fair. But that continuing narrative that he takes advantage of his fans? Sorry, but that’s a hard no for me.

Personally I don’t know how the actual fuck he does it. Ten years in and he is still gracious and accommodating to all his fans, even those that cross every line. How is unsolicited groping ever acceptable? I think he is far too affable. But the he’s taking advantage of his fans continues. If all he wanted to do was was an Outlander pump and dump cash grab, not only is he doing it all wrong, he’s working far to hard. Rather than invest his own money and produce a craft product, he could have purchased a house brand equivalent of whisky and gin, and concentrate on labels. Imagine limited edition pumpkin spice, thanksgiving, Christmas, new year’s, Valentine’s Day, shirtless-you get the idea- SH limited edition bottles. I think he’s looking beyond that and trying to build a brand.

There’s also been a lot written about the individual appearances and signings. I would never camp out at midnight to get a place in line, but a 6-8 hour wait? There are a small group of gals that I follow and Dm with, that I would gladly grab a lawn chair and sunscreen and happily take my place in line with. Not sure if they would be as keen, but @khccbc1745, @kiaora45, @harriethattie, @caldineens, @collectido, @ maryofboston, @ Stargazer74 , @andorra97 and many more, who take the time to not only comment, but call me out when I get things wrong(which I have been known to do) you know who you are- I’d wait in line, with any of these women, in a heartbeat. Even though we range in age-40-80- I don’t think we would have a single second of silence. With a group, you take turns getting coffee, snacks, lunch…quick SH selfie, hotel nap, dinner and drinks. I think that’s the part people don’t get when they see the long lines. It’s not for everyone, but it’s also for most a once in a lifetime thing. Go ahead and laugh, a couple of years ago I was the first to make fun of people like me, but scrolling through the fandom has become one of my favourite things to do, and something I don’t have to share with other family and friends that will never understand the joy of all things Outlander and SH😊. The other thing that most people don’t get is that, and I think I can speak not only for myself but the other amazing women in the fandom, we really don’t take each other that seriously. This is fun, and for me definitely a guilty pleasure bc🥸I’m so happy that I have these like minded people I can commiserate with because I just watched the last mid season episode of season 7. How dare they say…to be continued next year. Next year? Ffs.

On a final note, a fun fact. If we didn’t have tickets for tennis, I definitely would have gone to the Scottish festival in Fergus Ontario to see our very own hometown boy CV, and RR and for once be able to post some original pics. Not far from home, I’ve been to the festival in the past- definitely have Scots in the family tree including a competitive bagpiper- and its always fun. I’ve really enjoyed CV as WR in the first part of season 7 and really looking forward to watching his story unfold. But having to wait until next year to watch the second half of season 7, and who knows how long before season 8 airs. Don’t even get me started about DG, and the timeline for the release of book 10. Seriously considering a class action lawsuit for the cruel and unusual punishment inflicted by DG when she said Jamie’s ghost story would be revealed in the last page of book 10. Why DG? Why? On the other hand, I can take my time scrolling, commenting and posting about season 7. If I was a patient person, which I’m not. So for now I’ll make due with the ongoing commentary of how people around the world refer to the “pineapple swim trunks” SH sports in an upcoming episode of MIK 2. Something budgies….🦜🏊‍♂️🩲…

Also, funny how around 1:16pm EST she put this in her Instagram story today 7/20/2024. Lady, you have no idea who you're talking to (hint: Pluto = Roman counterpart for Hades the God of the Underworld), being a deity who absolutely despises you [Gen] by the way. I've always said that people don't start conjuring via witchcraft unless they want something (money, sex, love, career advancement, to make the world a better place [starting with the conjurer of course!]).

As for the actual photos, well I know she tends to take photos of him without him really knowing she's taking photos. According to another user, apparently her original post on Instagram DID have Jeff and Megan in the photos but then now the one that's up does not. I don't know why that would be the case if that's true but I just don't think they [Gen and Jared's family] really have a good relationship overall for multiple reasons. Now if you want to really see me laugh, try convincing me they spent their entire vacation time in Italy together, given Portofino is on one side of the country and Venice on the other.

Something I brought up in my last post about someone I knew who died back last April is something my dad said to me as a teenager when I was with someone who wasn't really good for me. My dad said to me that if a man really cares about a woman but her family doesn't approve, he will let her go. The same can be said about if a man's family doesn't approve of the woman. The general point here is that if you have a good relationship with your family and they don't approve of your partnership/relationship, this can make someone feel like they're stuck in the middle and or possibly end up feeling isolated at some point. It's great Jared's seeing his family more lately but honestly I've been wondering where they've been at for a minute. From what was said about his upbringing, he was raised in a positive home with supportive parents.

I also never hear a thing about Gen seeing her family. Sure, some of us are cursed with a toxic family as Gen has implied in some of her stories about her family. I recall Gen not being the nicest to her mom in one Instagram live she did with Danneel back in Feb 2017. Gen wasn't over the top in saying shut up mom but she's also generally passive aggressive at least publicly. Also funny what looking at social media patterns and such can reveal, which is more telling than the picture they're trying to portray in the select photos they reveal on their social media pages (and maybe what they ask of fans who take selfies with them for free).

I'm not convinced they are necessarily on good terms. The other day, a book fell in my hallway. The last time this happened months ago, it was the Family Don't End with Blood book. This time it was another book that looks similar with the colors but isn't the same. I initially thought it was that book and picked it up. So I decided okay this means I need to read Jared's chapter again.

On a side note, someone told me that Belgium is known for Witchcraft. Just a bit of a funny coincidence worth mentioning given this ask is about Belgium and you bringing up my witchcraft posts pertaining to Gen, Anon.

And the one line that stood out to me the most.

We know a couple months ago Jared announced Walker was cancelled. This is the first time he's had nothing new lined up as far as acting jobs go since Walker finished filming. I've been told for months now Jared isn't doing very good, which was before Walker was announced as cancelled. Heck, one of my guides told me weeks before it was announced on May 21 that it's done for and Jared is just being hopeful at this point. This was definitely confirmed as being the case that he was merely hopeful it wouldn't end. He did also say in the latest podcast with Tommy Didario that this is a low point for him feeling sad and whatnot. I believe that Jared is being a tad dishonest in saying he's doing much better than he was years ago. Maybe he's not AS bad as in when he went to the clinic but I certainly don't believe he's doing that good right now.

On a strange note, I was just at the beach with my son's dad's side of the family for a couple weeks. A friend I hadn't heard from in a minute while I was there saw posts of us being there and asked if we're back together to which I firmly said no to ha ha. Multiple arguments took place over the entire vacation and I even threatened to leave multiple times. However, Poseidon kept insisting I stay there and push through. I even started feeling a bit homesick after a little over a week. For a bit of a backstory on this, I was there from June 28, returned home briefly to get my desktop and such for work July 7 [so I work while at the beach house his family owns], and then ultimately returned home to stay on July 15 when I got home at like 2am. Miserable stuff!

I even admittedly had a bit of a breakdown at one point during this trip while my ex and I were getting ice cream which resulted in me staying in the car alone. Interestingly so, his parents were there, one of his uncles, our nephew, and at one point his sister, husband and my other nephew/their kid was there. I guess the point of my staying at the beach with his family and even extended family despite feeling unhappy much of the time was to somehow parallel what Jared went through all those years ago and walk a mile through his shoes metaphorically speaking? My point here also being, the photos may look great and it looks like everyone's having a blast but guess what? Do you think most people are going to put up the worst photos of them crying genuinely when upset or otherwise not at their "best" on their social media?

Anytime I see a post in which someone says "these (people I don't agree with) can't even make a phone call without getting anxious," I unfollow whoever reblogged it onto my dash. This isn't because I personally get anxious when I make phone calls. At one point in my life I did get anxious when making phone calls, but I got over this a long time ago and now I'm pretty confident on the phone.

The reason is because 1) 90% of the time OP doesn't know the people they're talking about and so they're just taking a guess in the hopes that it's true and it pisses these people off. 2) It's unnecessary to bring up. And 3) It's just mean-spirited.

Like I saw this again a couple weeks ago, but an example I can think of from a year or so ago was when dni-archive, a shitty Tumblr user who posts screenshots of people's bios to mock them, made a poll tournament for "most annoying tumblr user." Obviously this was horrible and shitty and faced backlash. I remember one user making a post about how shitty this was to do, but then said in the same post something like, "(dni-archive) can't even order food without getting anxious." And it's like ok, we don't even really know who this user is because they keep their identity anonymous (they don't even give a name on their blog). So saying this about them is like taking a shot in the dark and hoping it hits them.

It reminds me of how people used to say "people who harass others online are basement dwelling neckbeard losers who have no social lives," and how I saw a post on here many many years ago that pushed back on this saying how the reality is is that some people who harass others online have good social lives. They seem normal in person, they're liked among their coworkers, etc. But then they go online and make others feel like shit for fun. Similar to how abusers can be well liked people among their friends and with strangers, the same applies to people who harass others online.

So what's the point in guessing that shitty people online are bad at socializing IRL so as to insult them? Why not just point out their shitty behavior? It just seems unnecessary. It always makes me think that the OP isn't confident enough in saying "this person is mean-spirited to other people online for no good reason" or in some cases "these people leaving these specific comments have bad opinions and here's why." The OP feels the need to make up an insult to prove their point. It's like if you said "this person's behavior sucks, and also they're probably ugly," about an online user who never posts selfies.

Also the people I've followed in the past who reblog these posts making these insults also reblogged posts that say "We shouldn't conflate attractiveness to how morally good someone is," and "Any time you insult the appearance of some asshole you don't like, you hurt those you care about who share similar physical traits." And it's like, I don't understand why they don't apply those concepts to how well someone socializes. Socialization is easier to change than one's appearance for most people, but it still doesn't make sense to imply that how well someone socializes correlates to how morally good they are. And wow I think that last sentence was one of the most autistic sentences I've ever written.

Anyways it's just mean-spirited for no good reason, but unfortunately I feel like you can't say "saying this thing is mean-spirited for no good reason" and be taken seriously on Tumblr.

if it does help at all though, angel, and this certainly helped sahar and i to learn a few days ago, the collab was planned and recorded when the boys were in the u.s. for the global citizen festival last september, according to this interview (i’m assuming that’s when they took their pictures with him too). so the song was planned far, far ahead of time, and they couldn’t have known at the time that puth would come to endorse genocide.

This one I made it a little over 2 years ago, but I still think it looks really good, and there’s a funny, (actually not so funny) story behind it.

A while ago I posted the speedpaint video of this drawing in a short in YouTube, and somebody in the comments complained at me because I had traced over the original picture. Yes, I did traced over the picture, that is not a crime, they complained saying that it is “rude” and went on to say that tracing is offensive to the original creator of the picture pointing out the effort they put in their work and how it “hurts” them when someone just “draws all over it” and their video blows up when that person didnt even credited them. Here’s the thing, last time I checked, wasn’t there a trend of artist tracing over other peoples pictures/selfies? Honestly thought, that made me feel a little guilty ngl, I mean I didn’t even know who the guy was, I found the picture on Pinterest without any credits or links to who the he was!! But I digress, I did ended up doing some research and I ended up finding out who he was! His name is George Pomogisebe, he’s a Russian model and influencer, he can be found in Instagram as @pomogisebe , so if you guys are interested, you can go check him out.

Now, the next few things are directed for all new artists out there who are reading this, (but if you’re a veteran, you can read this too if you want to, just letting y’all know you might have heard this before), listen, when it comes to tracing, the situation gets complicated, but all comes down to what you do after you’ve done it. There’s nothing inherently wrong with tracing, it is a tool that helps you learn, and tracing over real life pictures is something that helps greatly, to learn things like anatomy. What is wrong is claiming ownership over a piece of a work that was traced based on another artist original art work, claiming being the sole creator of something that was copied of someone’s else hard work is wrong. However, I’m not saying that you can can only trace real life pictures, and that you cannot trace someone else’s drawing, when it comes down to tracing other artist’s art work, there are two things you should always do, or at least try to if you intend to trace their work; first, ALWAYS ask for permission first, and second ALWAYS credit the original artist! Many artists are cool with tracing or redrawing if you ask them for permission and make sure to credit them, but this isn’t always the case, and if an artist tells you that you cannot trace their art works, then you should respect that! Respect the original artist wishes for their art work! And if for some reason you cannot get answer from the artist and you still trace their work, MAKE SURE TO CREDIT THEM!

I cannot stress this enough, there’s always been a big issue with tracing in the art community, and it is mainly because of malicious people that want to feed of off someone else’s hard work. If you see some one that traced over another artist’s art work and is claiming it as their’s, be careful, FIRSTLY do not go harass them over it, because that is also wrong, double check if this was done on purpose, perhaps they may have forgotten to credit the original artist by mistake, it happens, we are humans, and forgetful; but if you do see that they did this on purpose, and/or is not the first or only time they’ve done it, you should go report them, let the original artist know what is happening so they can take matters into their own hands.

“Who keeps texting you this late?” He asks after the sound of stifled laughter and Eva’s texting woke him up again.

“Izzy, he’s stuck in quarantine with his really weird hook-up. Apparently, Flavio the gigolo had covid and didn’t tell him.” She answered. “Its noon over there, I’ll just send him one last text and I’ll let you sleep, babe.”

And just as Eva put her phone back on the nightstand, Tommy’s phone buzzed with a text message.

“Finn again?” Eva asked as he scowled at his iPhone.

“No, Arthur. Linda made him take one of those at home covid tests and he can’t tell if it’s positive or negative.” Tommy shows her the picture with a positive covid test.

“Fuck. Do you want to do your test right now or tomorrow morning?” Eva groans as she gets up to find their stash of at home tests in the medicine cabinet.

Working from home was amazing. Usually, she and Tommy were done way earlier or he clocked out early to bother her while she was going over things with Esme who’s going on maternity leave for the next three months.

Too bad this meeting couldn’t be rescheduled.

Fifteen minutes while people gawk at the representative of Birmingham Hall Green and his newly wedded wife after getting the second dose of the vaccine.

Oswald Mosley wasn’t even from there; he was only representing Warley because he couldn’t even get Harrow West with his wife’s connections. But that hadn’t stopped the conservatives from voting him in, nor did it stop him from declaring Tommy his nemesis.

Wasn’t Tommy’s fault he was just better at everything, or that the media dubbed her husband sexiest mp since he was elected two years ago.

“I bet Mosley is bitching about getting the vaccine.” She says quietly as they wait for the giant cartoon clock projected on a gymnasium wall to ring.

“Oh, he is. Says it’s against his will and that he wants his people to pray for him as he is forced to go against his beliefs.” Tommy rolled his eyes and showed her the tweet he was reading on his phone.

“Do you still want me to tag you on the selfie I just posted?” She asked him.

“How much longer?” Tommy asked as they watched BBC One go over the mass resignations happening because Boris Johnson refused to step down.

Thomas Shelby MP OBE had made the popcorn and taken out a few beers to watch the shitshow unfold on national television.

“Maybe six hours, cards said July 7th. Is that Mosley’s name on the list?” Eva asked as they read the names listed as the Tory politician’s resignations came flying in.

“Yep, keeps asking me to do the same. Had to block him just to make him shut up.” He is giddy, like Katie and Finn are whenever they get Tommy to go against John on Mario Kart.

Eva wonders if she should tell him she’s seen the Queen’s death on the cards.

On September 8, at 3:10 pm, Gabriel Henry is born just as the Queen of England breathes her last.

Phantom’s 35th. My thoughts.

I haven’t seen this show in almost 10 years. Tonight was my…54th time? 55th? I honestly have lost count. I know it was once on a National Tour (2006 with Gary Mauer), once in London (2013 with Marcus Lovett), and the rest on Broadway (2005, 2010-2014, & 2023 -many Phantoms, but mostly Hugh Panaro).

I loved this show. For several years, it was my life, it consumed everything about me. I was there for her 10,000th show, for her 25th Anniversary, Peter Jöback’s Broadway debut…so many small milestones and unique shows too with fun understudy & swing combinations. I knew this show inside & out, who covered what role, the timing of the choreography for every role, every single person onstage & behind the scenes. It was strange not knowing all the lyrics, the new choreography choices, who was at the stage door. A lot of these choreography changes, particularly for Christine & Raoul…10-years-ago me probably would’ve had a fit!

It shouldn’t surprise me that things changed over the last 10 years, particularly after Hal Prince & Gillian Lynne’s deaths - Hal was the last thing keeping the show from being any less than the “Brilliant Original”. Tonight showed me while the show is far from a shadow of what it used to be, it certainly is a phantom of the show I used to love. sorry i had to

There’s no getting around it: It’s old. It’s tired. It’s a well-oiled machine, but it’s rusty & showing its age. It probably has for a long time, but in the 10 years since I put aside my rose-tinted glasses, I can see it now. Even my mom commented on it. Perhaps they were just tired, and I know it was a 2-show day, but a lot of the acting felt lackluster. Or maybe they just don’t care as much anymore since they know she’s closing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ben had some fantastic, but brief, moments - his softer sections were definitely his strong points for me (“I gave you my music”, “lead me save me…”, “Christine I love you”). His word pronunciation was inconsistent, and his character in the Final Lair confused me. Is he meant to be drunk? It was odd.

Emilie was lovely, if a bit too subdued - her vibrato was a bit strong for my taste, but I’ve never cared for strong vibrato. The PONR choreography makes ZERO sense to me now - I was in the front of Rear Mezz, and it was not remotely clear at all 1. when Christine knew it was the Phantom and 2. if she, like, cared.

Sidenote: it was very cool to see & hear all the changes made to wigs, props, and lyrics to accommodate & acknowledge Christine no longer only being played by white/white-passing actresses.

Paul was Raoul tonight. He was always a better Raoul than Phantom, but neither were ever anything special to talk about. He seemed to just be…standing there, a lot of the time. Mom said he was her favorite of the trio though, so that counts for something.

And for the record, I still hate the Wandering Child trio. It just sounds like vibratic chaos.

The managers were funny - the contrast of the younger, more frantic Andre & the more humbug “this shit is ridiculous” Firmin has never been more stark, which both amused and annoyed me. Nehal Joshi has many more comedic roles in his future, for certain.

I did record the show tonight, but I don’t think the audio will be very good. The people next to me kept making stupid comments and ruined MOTN. When they arrived back late in Masquerade & the one started commenting about it, I turned to them & said, “Please stop talking. I did not pay all this money to hear you talk”. Thankfully, they shut the fuck up after that. I’ll see how much the recording picked up- might have to just post pieces, we’ll see.

Also, I met ALW in the lobby before the show & got a selfie with him. We both look terrible in it so just take my word for it.

Ben made a speech from some notecards for the curtain call, acknowledging ALW & former cast members being there, and thanking the swings & understudies for making Phantom’s reopening & continued performances possible.

They had a fancy cake made again (it was standing vertical??? Apparently it was rice krispies or something), but the cast didn’t even get to eat it! It had dry ice on it for the “candles” & was apparently sitting backstage all show, so…maybe that was for the best. Black icing doesn’t taste very good, anyway.

I don’t know, tonight was strange for me. I had a swell of emotion during the Overture, and another one at “it’s over now, the Music of the Night”, and when everyone sang Happy Birthday during Ben’s curtain call speech. But otherwise, this show didn’t do much for me.

And honestly? I am very, very okay with that.

I saw tonight as closure, a farewell to an incredibly tumultuous time in my life and to this beautiful production. I’ll probably see it again some day somewhere, but this was my last time seeing her on Broadway.

Farewell my fallen idol my love. It was good to see you one last time.

Yoshi: (Walking out of the Phone Store Along with Daisy While Holding a Mini Shopping Bag in his Hand) Thanks for helping me buy a new phone, mom. I know it's the last thing you wanna to do on our outing together.

Daisy: (Gives Yoshi a Bright Smile) Nah, it's no biggie! (Wraps her Her Arm Around Yoshi's Shoulders) You know I always got you and your pops back if either of you needed anything.

Yoshi: Yeah, but you and rest of the moms, for that matter, seem to do almost everything for us over years. (Raises his Hands Up a Bit) N-Not that we don't appericate it or anything, we really do, it's just......I dunno. Does the whole ordeal ever feel.....exhausted to any of you? Like at all?

Daisy: Oh yeah, big time. But we all knew what were getting ourselves into the moment each of us stepped up to parenthood. And even then, that still won't stop us from being there and loving you kiddos to-

The mom and son duo stopped walking as they turn around and see a blue Yoshi wearing sunglasses, a black leather coat, and torn up shoes stepping out from the corner of the Phone Store's entrance.

?????: Look at Mr. Karate Boy ovah here.

Yoshi: (Groans at the Soght of the Blue Yoshi) Oh God it's you......

Daisy: (Turns to Yoshi) You know him?

Yoshi: Unfortunately. His name's Boshi and he's-

Yoshi/Daisy: (Groans at the Picture in Question) Hades........

Daisy: (Turns to Yoshi Next to Her) Remind me to kick his butt to the crub later......

Boshi: (Puts his Phone Back into his Coat Pocket) Yeeeup. It's been doing numbers as of late. (Shrugs With a Smug Look on his Face) Not that I'm surprised mind ya. Poor Green Yoshi! (Crosses his Arms) Couldn't even last a minute in a half in a group fight.

Yoshi: (Already Getting Irriated) Again, we were jumped out of nowhere. We really couldn't do much other than defending ourselves.

Boshi: Sounds like a you have no skills problem. (Uses his Thumb to Point at Himself While Puttong on an Overly Cocky Smile) I'd moped the floor with all of those those chumps ten seconds flat if I were in you losers' shoes

Daisy: (Gives Boshi a Deadpinned Look on her Face) You really wanna be Sonic 2.0 that badly, huh kid?

Boshi: (Angrily Points at Daisy) Says you, Mrs. Princess of Sarasaland! If that's what ya really are!!

Boshi: Oh really? Then how come her so called "kingdom" hardly been talked about in these parks, huh?

All of which are run by four of the most powerful, fearsome protectors youu would have the displeasure of meeting and they all take orders from me. Boshi: (Eyes Widened in Complete Disbelief) Empress!? (Shakingly Points at Daisy) Y-Y-You?

Daisy: Yep. I'm Empress Daisy, at your service~ (Playfully Winks at the Flabbergasted Blue Yoshi)

Yoshi: (Eyes Widened in Genuine Surprise) Woah.

Boshi: Y-Yeah? Well....If that's the case, then why does the big bad King of Koopas himself never bothered to kidnap you before, huh!?

Daisy: Oh, you're talking about Bowser? The same Big Bad King Koopa sent flying to the skies? And never dared to try and cross me since?

Boshi: (Glares at Daisy Again) Okay, now I know your messin' with me! Ain't no way in hell you would go that far as to send Bowser flyin-

Daisy shows Boshi a video of her bitch slapping Bowser towards the distant skies at relative ease on her phone. Instantly causing the blue, edgy yoshi to be flabbergasted once again.

Daisy: (Shrugs Casually) What can I say? He's lightweight compared to me. (Gives Boshi a Stern, Warning Glare While Cracking her Knuckles Slowly) And unless you too wanna know what it feels like to sent off into orbit, I advise you to watch what you say about my friends and family. Boshi: (Quickly Runs Off at the Speed of Light in Complete Fear) I'M SORRRRRYYYYYYYYY!

Daisy: ......Huh. Well, whaddya know? (Turns to Yoshi Cheeky Smile on her Face) I guess he really us a bootleg Sonic after all~

Yoshi: (Almost at a Loss For Words) Mom......Were everything you said just now is true?......

Daisy: (Happily Nodded) Yep!.....Well, the Sarasaland having four separate kingdoms part is true, your granddad's still emperor. (Grabs her Chin While Thinking) We should really stop by and visiting him one of these days though.....

Yoshi: So does that means you're gonna be an actual empress soneday?

Daisy: ('Sigh') I dunno, maybe? It's gonna be long while till my old man give his title up for anyone. But really, I'd rather not think too deeply on the possibility just yet. (Smiles Softly) Right now, I wanna spend my time here with the people I love.....(Playfully Gives Yoshi a Noogie) And best dino son I could ever ask for, yes you are!~

Yoshi: (Chuckles Ticklishly) Okay, okay, I'm the best~ Now, quit it, will ya? Our day isn't even over yet!

Daisy: (Finally Cease her Antics) Oh alright. I'll stop for not. Let's head to the Fashion Passion Shop next. Lili needs a new pair of shades.

Yoshi: (Raises an Eyebrow in Confusion as He Starts Walking With to his Mother to Their Next Destination) Lili?
