Strip Monopoly!
Let's face it, Monopoly is boring, so let's spice it up a bit. Introducing "Strip Monopoly." The rules are the same as standard Monopoly with the following modifications. Players will strategically choose between earning money, putting clothes on, or facing personal questions while in Jail. The winner is the last person still wearing any clothing.
Strip Monopoly Rules:
Each player should start with at least 6 clothing items. The specific items and the number are up to the players’ discretion. (For example: should socks be counted as one item each or one item as a pair? These types of decisions should be agreed upon before the start of the game)
Whenever a player passes "GO," they have the option to either put on one article of clothing of their choice or collect $200.
If a player lands on another player's property and does not have the funds to pay rent, they must remove an article of clothing of the property owner's choice instead.
When a player goes to Jail, they must remove an article of clothing (if they still have some remaining). If they don't have any left, they must answer a personal or intriguing question chosen by the other players each time they have a turn while in Jail.
If a player lands on "Free Parking," they can either put on an article of clothing themselves or choose another player to put on a piece of clothing.
The winner of the game is the last person still wearing any clothes.

falling til four in the morning by phnelt. MDZS, The Untamed, modern au, wangxian, T. 90s AU where lan zhan and wei ying meet through analog media. its been a while since i read it but i have a weakness for analog media, especially tapes, and these things really get to shine here.
widow‘s weeds by travelingneuritis. MDZS, The Untamed, modern cultivation, wangxian, wlw, comphet, E. very fun AU about wei wuxian being engaged to jin guangyao, and lan wangji, the landscape gardener wei wuxian hired for her wedding, suspecting that wei wuxian has been killing her former husbands (plural). jin guangyao has only a small role here but i liked how the author has written him and his incidental cahooting with wei wuxian!
but the wind keeps blowing by morwen. WOH pre-canon/canon divergence, wenzhou, amnesia, ghost valley, M. a man without a name wakes up in a place without a yesterday. on his travels to find out who he is, he picks up two interesting companions with their own agendas. a really cool stab at zhou zishu’s and wen kexing’s and gu xiang's pre-canon selves, and a look at how wen kexing‘s coup for the throne of ghost valley might have been like, now with zhou zishu thrown into the mix. i especially loved how the department of the unfaithful plays into this. this fic is written in german!
the remains of summer by nirenhuang. WOH modern AU, wenzhou, fluff, T. zhou zishu and wen kexing are students in the Berlin of 1920-30. this is a bilingual fic (german, english). due to the time this is set in, some of the places that show up here dont exist anymore, they were destroyed during the third reich or ww2. i loved how the author interweaves these aspects and creates this rich tapestry of culture, identity, language, queerness, and finding your crowd, in the years just before hitler comes into power. (politics have no impact, though.) this is a rewrite of a similar fic by the same author in mandarin, and there is a sequel! predominantly written in english with some german phrases!

how to be ravenous by caffeineaddict94. WOH modern au, Ride or Die AU, wenzhou, wlw, E. zhou zishu and wen kexing reunite after years of not speaking with each other. their complex relationship is unravelled over the course of wen kexing comitting murder for zhou zishu and their subsequent escape from the authorites. a story about want and yearning and these hidden things lodged deep inside that even if u dont acknowledge them, still have the power to ruin your life—or change it for the better.
one of the moments i cant stop thinking about:
Her fingers fit perfectly around Zishu‘s throat, right against her windpipe. Zishu studies Kexing‘s flushed face and vicious eyes with no reservations. Serenity washes over her like a deep ocean as her pulse beats rabbit quick beneath Kexing‘s fingertips.
“You didn’t have to get my hopes up,” Kexing seethes, grip tightening just enough to make it difficult to swallow. “I was over all of it. I was over you but you had to pop up again, you selfish asshole!”
“Kill me then.”
That throws Kexing off balance.

WOH modern au, wenzhou, crack, G. zhou zishu‘s terrible and chaotic neighbour wen kexing devises a masterful plan to woe zhou zishu, much to zhou zishu‘s chagrin. that plan includes feral kittens and lots of atrocious ignorance of boundaries. nothing at all goes wrong (lie). i reread this one recently and it was great :D

I just realized something. In the 20+ fics and comics I've read since finishing Disco Elysium, if there is a distinct Harry Ideological Type, it is always, ALWAYS Communist Harry.
Literally never seen anything but a fiery communard if politics are included at all. Whether that's because this personality/alignment simply seems to fit him best, or the lines therein are the funniest (I think at least) or DE simply appeals to a uh. Specific political type? Unclear. Possibly all of the above
Anyway I just think it's great we're all somehow unanimously on the same collective page

tce's structure is so unusual it's making me question if saving is necessary....
(i mean it'll probably have some kind of save point... but im thinking, the game's so short anyway, maybe the challenge is to work at it until you can beat it in one sitting. kinda like old arcade games, and cartridges without save batteries...... maybe the alternate route and ending can be strictly no saving, while the normal route is nicer?)
#the alternate route is structured more like a speedrun in that sense#the normal route can have convenient features like Pausing the Timer when in menus and Saving the Game#but if you trigger the alternate route then you're subject to speedrun rules. the clock in the corner turns red and scary to show it maybe#at least i think thatd be an interesting compromise...#'til countdown's end

Bayonetta 3 is such a mess that it convinced everyone that the Bayonettas played as in 1, 2, and 3 were different people (they're not) bc this is the sort of reveal it does setup for. But there's a throwaway line in Rodin's flavor text buried in menus that confirm that all 3 games take place in the same central universe. So I can't blame anyone for being wrong about it but everyone is wrong about it always
#btw bayo 2 in the ending scene can't be the same as bayo 2 from bayo 2. because she has voltron cat labolas and not lost dog labolas#but you do have to read the demon flavor text from bayonetta 2 to know this.#i personally believe 'bayo 1' and 'bayo 2' in ending are from the 'records of time' sequences#confirmed before 3 ever happened to be taking place in alternate timelines#and by extension 'bayo 1' is the young girl from the first game grown up#the 'cry while im gone' line is a reversal. and actually does rule#what a wreck of storytelling though

#i joke about it and all but like. i cannot emphasize enough what an impact it had on me to be uhhhhhb#micro-institutionalized in the way that i was for the first 14 years if my life#and i am honestly going to count the time i soent in ''elementary'' school bc it wasn't a normal school. it was a charter school#that began as a parent organized alternative and swiftly devolved into an authoritarian nightmare#a bunch of people who were simply not ready to educate children let alone ''problem'' children#of which there were MANY because that school got all the kids who had been turned out of public school for behavioral issues#there were hardline rules about literally everything. normal childhood behavior was pathologized and punished and as a kid#you had no way to understand WHY#and so many of your peers were having problems because ofc those ''problem'' kids were typically severely traumatized#or were actively being abused#so even if it wasn't happening TO you you were being exposed to it in a hundred little ways every day#so i was confused and miserable all the time AND was struggling academically bc i had undiagnosed adhd#(or possibly just trauma?? i honestly neither know nor care which came first at this point)#so my mom pulled me and my brother out. him at 11 and me at 6 and said ''i'll just do it myself'' and#raised us in a way that wasn't religious but resembled evangelical or lds stuff#i couldn't watch commercial tv or listen to popular music bc my parents didn't want me exposed to what they considered inappropriate#and while i still had extracurriculars i was always the odd one out bc i had no exposure to pop culture or normal socialization#for my age group#it resulted in me always feeling alone and like i didn't belong. and since most of my social life was my parents and their friends#that was the perfect soup for adultification#i was fine with adults. put me with my peers and i was a mess#it made the transition to high school incredibly difficult but i DID make it#but that was only 4 years still in an institution. everything began to unravel once i tried to move into anything resembling ''real life''#and then my dad's suicide which was a major trauma in early adulthood which only made my mom's grip on us tighten#i did get to START life until 26. not really. and it's just been a game of catch up for the last 5 years#and im so *angry* at the unfairness of it all. at the time and experience and milestones that were taken from me. at how i blamed myself#for it for so many years and the problems i developed because of it all. dissociation and substance abuse and suicidality#the fear that still has a death grip on me#the courage required to just exist#it's *exhausting*

Strip UNO
1. Strip UNO is played with the same rules as regular UNO with the following modifications
2. Players remove an item of clothing when:
* They draw a Wild Draw Four card.
* Another player plays a Draw Two card on them.
* They are forced to draw cards due to not having a playable card.
3. Each player should start with approximately the same number of clothing items. The specific items and the number are up to the players' discretion.
4. Power-up cards:
* A player who plays a Reverse card can choose to either reverse the game order or put one item of clothing back on.
* A player who plays a Wild card can choose to either change the color or make another player remove one item of clothing.
5. A game round ends when either:
* A player runs out of cards, in which case that player wins the round.
* Only one player has any clothes left, in which case that player is the winner.
6. If a player runs out of cards (a round ends) and other players still have clothing on.
* As a reward for winning the round the player that ran out of cards may either put one item of clothing back on or pick another player to remove an item of clothing.
* Once the winner of the round has decided on their “prize”, reshuffle the deck and start a new round
7. Play continues following the above rules until only one person has clothes remaining (They are the winner)

Perching bird

More so than others with perching bird daemons, those with finches are socially clever, devoted to their loved ones but can be insecure when in new situations. They carry themselves with pride and surround themselves with people and things that make them happy. When deciding on your daemon's appearance, consider your finch's coloring and species. A duller-colored finch like the Cassin's finch may indicate an individual who is more introverted and internal, while a brighter-colored finch like the Gouldian finch may indicate an individual who is more bold and talkative. You might also consider finch species native to the place you call home, such as the star finch to Australia or the purple finch to North America. If you're happy with your daemon's form, give them a name. Daemon names can be any length but are typically something unique. Play around with names and sounds until you find something that speaks to you!
