Anybody ever just wanna leave some things in their DR up to chance? Like, if certain people like you or not? For some characters in my DR that I know are canonically anti-social or something I don't specify much for, like if we're friends. I usually only say they at least tolerate me, anyone else do this? Like, having an apartment but leaving it's contents up to chance. I know a lot of y'all like scripting the little details but I personally like the random chances in life. What do you guys think? Do you like that or would you prefer getting rid of chance entirely?

complaints like "my character wouldn't do this" about key elements of an optional narrative are always so weird to me like what do you mean not everyone treats their first playthrough of an RPG as a rough draft to use to figure out what kinda character would best suit their preferred storyline and love interest?

someday i'll break and write a romcom based on the extremely niche and stupid way I play the sims where a scientist man gets abducted and 'pollinated' by aliens and the whole story is about him navigating being alien pregnant, early fatherhood to martians, and also a budding romance with his best friend since high school who he never thought he had a chance with.

Will he survive gestating half human, half alien children? Will the babies grow up to be conquerors of the earth or dentists? Will his love interest be able to get over the fact that his future adopted children have green skin, pointy ears, and a penchant for reading his thoughts???
