@saedyne LET'S FUCKING GO SOMEOEN WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT IT THIS MEANS I HAVE PERMISSION TO BE UNHINGED ABOUT THEM LMAO ok so I wrote this whole post this morning and fun fact I was almost late to work bc I lost track of time while writing it BUT I WASN'T SO IT WAS FINE anyway. here it is.

jackbat nation how do we feel about a dana/dick b plot. I think it would be funny to make Tim's parental life worse. his ex-step mom who is still living with him + his adopted dad + bio dad who are co-parenting him starts dating his sort of older brother.

-they meet bc dick needs physical therapy after his gunshot wound in war games, and he can safely get it from her without identity questions bc she already knows. dick starts flirting with her almost instantly bc Vulnerability? no no no I must instantly cover it with my irresistible charm.

-Dana is unimpressed bc she's had patients like this before, and she can tell he's just trying to distract her from her job. it doesn't work. (plus she is still "on a break" so with Jack, and she is Loyal and wouldn't cheat on him)

-Eventually he finishes physical therapy but they keep hanging out together bc they became Genuine Friends, and they enjoy each other's company.

-then one day they come back from an outing with tim (they are his escape from all of Jackbats fighting) and walk in on Jackbat in a. questionable situation. Dana turns and walks right back out the door, and Jack runs after her being like "it's not what it looks like!!!! I'm not gay!!!!!" (Bruce audibly scoffs at that)

-dick rips the fuck into Bruce ("how fucking could you he is still MARRIED she was WAITING for him she never would've done this to him I can't believe you would destroy a marriage like this" "oh because you care about the sanctity of marriage so much. remind me, when was the last time you spoke to Emily?" "don't you fucking DARE talk to me about Emily" )

-Dana decides Ok You Know What Fuck You I was a good person I didn't cheat I was willing to stick it out for our relationship and give you time to work your shit out but you clearly don't care about us so we are over. I have better options anyway.

-Dana files for divorce and dick and Dana start dating

- jack's misogynistic ass is so jealous cause YEAH he said he didn't wanna be in a relationship anymore and he was already moving on but that doesn't mean he wants HER moving on >:(

-Bruce calls him out on this bullshit and says she's a grown woman who can do whatever she wants and then he privately pulls dick aside and is like "you're not doing this. stop. you're making everything worse. plus she's a civilian. you can't. this is stupid. I know you're only doing it bc you're mad at me about the way I handled things with Jack so you're trying to cause drama to prove a point." and so dick is ofc like "GOD Bruce not everything is ABOUT you sometimes I have my OWN thoughts and feelings about things ever think about THAT huh?????" and like. yeah it's not ALL about that. they genuinely like each other. but this conversation does for sure make him want to date her even harder just to spite him.

-tim is fucking miserable because Jack and Bruce are mad at each other, Bruce and dick are mad at each other, jack and dana are mad at each other, and dick and Jack are mad at each other. The two pairs that aren't beefing are dick and Dana because they're currently in the honeymoon stage of their relationship, and Bruce and Dana because Dana blames Jack for the cheating, not Bruce, and Bruce blames dick for Dana and dick dating. because he's totally normal about when grown women make their own choices.

anyway how do we feel about this? I know it's A Lot and there's really no canon basis for Dick and Dana but honestly I just think it would be really really funny. I tried to be pretty accurate with Dana's characterization but also she isn't very centered in the narrative while Jack is alive so it's hard to make sure I'm getting it right. if anyone has any critiques about her please let me know, I don't wanna get her wrong

With your versions of Sun and Moon, despite them being canonically trans in a lot of your AUs, I feel like they’re both very fluid in their genders though Sun seems more geared to want to be referred to as male regardless of his presentation while Moon seems to prefer anything but female. So my question is, how would they react to being misgendered as female, especially (for your Luca AU) during drag or (for your magical girl AU) when transformed? Do they correct the person? What if it’s repetitive by some jerk?

I’d say for magical girl au it sort of follow drag logic, where sun and moon for the most part identify as male, but when sort of taking on this character of “magical girls” they do not mind at all being referred to by female pronouns, honestly they might find it a bit jarring if someone referred to them as male when they are in full magical girl outfit

I would make a caveat that moon is a little different, I see him as genuinely gender questioning and honestly I could see her being fully gender fluid by the end of the story or even mtf transgender

As for Luca au, for sun (if he’s not in drag) he’s pretty sensitive to being referred to with female pronouns. It’s more shocking than anything else, considering he has passed for a long time and the people who do know wouldn’t misgender him like that. He’s the type of person to handle everything with a smile and jokes, but if he was outed or hated on because of this part of himself, it would be devastating. He is unfortunately someone who thinks too much about the expectations of society, and if he’s not able to fit into those molds it does cause discomfort

Moon in Luca au is a fish so his gender is fish he’s afab, assigned fish at birth

But gen, his conception of gender is not anything like humans, they are kind of hermaphrodites and reproduce asexually so sort of the basis for a lot of this stuff just doesn’t work

I’d say the only reason why he leans slightly more towards male is cause random humans are far less likely to bother him if they think he’s a guy than a girl

Hornigold's Izzy was the worst, of course. A version of himself that never escaped that terrible place, who lived his life as little more than an object. He still has nightmares about all the things Baz told them, about all the things he didn't.

It doesn't really surprise him, after the first ones, not at its root. To be Izzy Hands is to be someone's after all, though seeing his own face on someone so fundamentally different to him never gets less weird. The people who these other Izzys attached themselves too often left him with more questions than answers. Jack's Izzy, he can understand, from a certain view, though the man himself felt like a fever dream. The less said about Stede's Izzy the better, he's never going to forgive him for the ideas he put in his Stede's head.

Then there was Sam's Izzy.

The first thing anyone noticed about him was that he was happy. He smiled and laughed without thought, and went through life with an ease Izzy didn't think he had ever felt. The crew took to him immediately, accepting him in a way they never did the other Izzys, and certainly not their own. They prodded him and asked him endless questions, and he took every touch without a flinch and answered every question without a hint of a grumble. This Izzy was free. He was open, unburdened, trusting. He was happy.

Sam's Izzy was the one that hurt the most to see. He could accept the worst that Hornigold could've offered, that he would have suffered and been broken. It was infinitely harder to see that he had a chance to be this happy. That it slipped through his fingers.

He's never looked back before, but now? Seeing what might've been? He can't stop himself from considering the possibility that maybe he made the wrong choice back then, going with Ed.

Arkham Knight Dick AU

[Dick is standing over a bloodied, broken Bruce Wayne. A gun is in his hand, shoved against the man's now-bare forehead, cowl long since broken, laying in pieces elsewhere.]

DICK: You're making this *so much harder* than it needs to be, Bruce. Just don't- stop *looking* at me like that! Like- like you *love* me! Just *stop it!*

[Bruce looks up at him, utter sadness in his eyes. He looks regretful, but like he's looking at the world- like one he helped break.]

BRUCE: ...But I *do* love you, Dick. You're my son.

[Dick snarls, shaking with rage and hurt.]

DICK: If you *loved me,* you wouldn't have sent me to Spyral! You wouldn't have left me alone with no memory! You wouldn't have left me to ROT in that abandoned wing of Arkham for TWO FUCKING YEARS! So stop it! Stop *pretending like you love me* while I- while I destroy your city, threaten your family, and point a goddamn gun in your face!

[Bruce's face only twitches, but to Dick, it's like the whole thing falls.]

BRUCE: I'm sorry.

[It's genuine.]

DICK: ...You're insufferable. You're fucking insufferable, you know that? I wish- I wish I never met you, Bruce. You- you *turned me into this.* You turned me into a soldier and sent me off into YOUR war! I was a CHILD! If- If it weren't for you, I- Joker wouldn't have...

BRUCE: ...I know. For what it's worth- I'm... sorry. I want to help you. If.. if you would let me.

[Silence. Dick sobs, stumbling back, lowering the gun.]

[Dick turns and runs off, leaving behind a broken Bruce. The Arkham Knight helmet lays nearby, broken in pieces. Bruce is full of regret.]

Completely focused on ensuring a tango of some kind can occur. ] "✋︎ can take the reigns here. There were many times spent just learning to... dance." [ * They seem somewhat prideful over the skill as they try to preform multiple forms of dance at once. Seemingly not able to settle on a single choice. ] [ * Their body seems stable. The vines seemingly melt through them. Hiding away as they seem to appear as a increasingly basic monster, minus the patches of human overlapping themself. ] [ * Their face turns to a grin as they seemingly get somewhat of a hang of their chaotic mess of a dance. ]

River Person laughs gleefully when they're led back to the dance floor.

"Tra la la, time well spent, it shows,"

They grin as well, continuing to follow their friend's lead. Now, they are freestyle dancing, showing off their own skills as they rock their hips side to side, spin gracefully in a half-broken pattern, and move their arms and hands in flowing motion—hints that they probably took notes from the way the river moves.

They laugh and giggle more, their eyes sparkling at their friend, having a great deal of fun.

The dancers are in their own world together, neither noticing that the monsters nearby have been watching.

The Phantom Ruby grows and physically becomes part of his body, especially after he gets pregnant and his body (mostly his breasts) also grows around it. He's physically stuck as a woman now and couldn't turn back if he wanted to (Is what Infinite tells himself, he actually could turn back into a guy if he really wanted to, but he doesn't so he can't)

Also the Ruby is a total erogenous zone. He might as well be constantly titfucking himself with how good it feels when something touches the Ruby.
