The worst thing about Choi Seungcheol wasnât that he was good at his job.
No, that wasnât it. If anything, you would have respected him for that. You didnât mind competitionâin fact, you thrived on it. But Seungcheol was a different breed of competitor. He wasnât just good, he was arrogant about it. A smug, self centered, insufferable bastard who made sure you knew exactly where he stood in the company hierarchy.
And unfortunately, that spot was right next to yours.
The rivalry started the moment you joined. He had been the golden boy of the company, the one everyone looked up to, until you showed up. You werenât intimidated by his reputation, nor were you interested in playing second to anyone. And from the moment you went head-to-head in your first project, you knew neither of you would back down.
It wasnât just competition. It was war.
You challenged every one of his ideas. He shot down every one of yours. You undercut his suggestions in meetings, he made sure to find flaws in every pitch you presented. He stole deals right out from under you, and you made sure to return the favor.
And somehow, despite your mutual hatred, the company refused to separate you.
âYou two work well togetherâ your boss had said once, completely ignoring the way you and Seungcheol were glaring daggers at each other across the conference table.
Work well together. Right. If by âwellâ he meant in the same way oil and water did, then sure.
And tonight was no different.
You were stuck in the office well past midnight, both of you hunched over your respective desks, working on a last minute client proposal. Management had assigned it to both of you, because of course they hadâinsisting that your âcombined talentsâ would deliver the best results.
You could barely focus with him in the room. every time he shifted, every time he sighed, every time his damn pen scratched against the paper, it grated on your nerves.
âCan you stop breathing so loud?â you snapped, eyes shooting daggers at him.
âSorry, sweetheart. Didnât realize my existence was such a burden on you.â Seungcheolâs voice dripped with sarcasm, not bothering to look up from his own paperwork.
Your eyes narrowed at the sound of his voice, your grip on your pen tightening until you feared it might snap.
âDonât call me that,â you spat back. The last thing you needed was for him to think he could get under your skin. But it was already too late.
He chuckled under his breath, the sound irritatingly deep. âYouâre really in a mood tonight, huh? Whatâs wrong, project not turning out the way you wanted?â
You gritted your teeth. âMy project is fine.â
âMm. Sure about that?â He finally looked up from his laptop, leaning back in his chair with that signature smirk you wanted to slap off his face. âBecause from where Iâm sitting, it looks like youâre struggling.â
Your eye twitched. You had never hit a coworker before, but tonight might be the night.
âFor fuckâs sakeâ you muttered, shoving your chair back and standing abruptly. âDo you ever get tired of hearing yourself talk?â
He mirrored your movement, standing as well, and you hated that he was taller, and that he could look down at you like he was amused.
âI donât knowâ he mused, taking a slow step closer. âDo you ever get tired of trying to prove youâre better than me?â
Your jaw clenched. âI donât have to prove anything. I am better than you.â
His smirk widened, his tongue running along the inside of his cheek. âKeep telling yourself that, sweetheart.â
The way he said 'sweetheart' was like nails on a chalkboard, and it made something snap inside you.
Maybe it was the exhaustion. Maybe it was the stress. Maybe it was the way the tension between you had been building for so long, thick and suffocating.
Or maybe it was just him.
The unbearable way he looked at you, like he was daring you to break first.
So you did.
You shoved himâboth hands pressed against his chest, pushing with all your strength.
He barely stumbled.
Instead, he grabbed your wrists before you could pull away, spinning you around and pressing your back against your desk.
âWhat the hell are youââ
âYouâve been waiting to do that, havenât you?â he murmured, voice low.
You refused to back down. Your chin lifted defiantly. âWhat, shove you? Yeah. Since the day I met you.â
His fingers tightened around your wrists. âI wasnât talking about that.â
The air grew thick with something you hadnât noticed beforeâor maybe you had, but had ignored it because acknowledging it would mean admitting that you felt something other than pure hatred for him.
âYou hate me, right?â he murmured, pressing in closer, his thigh sliding between yours. âSo tell me to stop.â
Your nails dug into his wrists, your heartbeat pounding in your ears. âFuck you.â
His lips curled. âThatâs what I thought.â
Before you could protest, his mouth was on yours. His hand moved, fingers wrapping around your jaw, grip just tight enough to make you suck in a breath.
The kiss wasnât soft. It wasnât sweet. It was violent, all teeth and dominance and raw frustration.
His hands slid down, gripping your hips so tight it hurt, lifting you onto the desk as his body slotted between your legs. You yanked at his shirt, pulling him even closer, biting down on his lip just to make him groan.
âThis doesnât mean anything,â you panted against his mouth.
He laughed darkly, his fingers already working the buttons of your blouse. âOf course not.â
And yet, the way he dragged his hands down your body like he needed to memorize every inch, told a different story.
Your skirt was shoved up, your underwear pushed aside, and thenâ a sharp gasp left your lips as his fingers slid inside you, finding you embarrassingly wet.
He groaned, his forehead pressing against yours. âFuck. This whole ? Youâve been this soaked, and youâve been acting like you hate me?â
You bit your lip, refusing to answer, but he wasnât having it.
âTell me,â he murmured, curling his fingers, dragging a moan from you. âTell me how bad you want it.â
You shook your head, breathless, defiant. âYou donât get to win.â
He chuckled. âSweetheart, I already won the moment you let me touch you.â
Your cheeks burned with fury, and you bucked your hips, trying to dislodge his hand. But it was too late. His thumb found your clit, circling it in a way that made your knees tremble.
You wanted to slap the smug grin off his face, to wipe the victory from his eyes. But as he continued to kiss you, all thought of anything other than the heat between you disappeared. Your hands moved of their own accord, reaching up to tangle in his hair, pulling him closer. You didnât want this, you told yourself, but your body had other ideas.
Seungcheolâs other hand reached up his thumb brushing against the swell of your breast, making your breath hitch. The friction of his trousers against your thighs was agonizing, the fabric rough against your sensitive skin. You could feel his erection pressing into your stomach, demanding attention.
âSay you hate me again,â he whispered against your ear, his breath hot and tickling. âSay it while youâre dripping all over my fingers.â
You bit back a moan, hating how much his words affected you. But you werenât about to let him have the satisfaction of knowing how much you craved this.
So, you spat out the words with all the venom you had left. âI fucking hate you, Choi Seungcheol.â
His eyes darkened, his smile turning feral. âKeep saying itâ he murmured, his thumb moving faster on your clit. âLetâs see if you can convince either of us.â
Your body betrayed you, arching into his touch, a whimper escaping your throat. âI hate you, I hate you, I hate youââ
Seungcheolâs eyes burned into yours, he cut you off by sliding another finger inside you, stretching you out, as you felt the beginnings of a climax building.
His pace was brutal, pumping his fingers into you with no hesitation, curling them just right until your legs threatened to give out.
âFuck, youâre tight,â he groaned, his lips ghosting over the shell of your ear. âBet you touch yourself thinking about me.â
You swallowed down the moan rising in your throat, your eyes squeezed shut. You clenched around his fingers, making him chuckle. âThatâs what I thought.â
You were so close, so fucking close, but youâd be damned if you gave him the satisfaction of knowing it.
âFucking asshole,â you bit out, even as your body begged for release.
His fingers pulled out of you instantly, leaving you empty, and you were about to curse at him until he grabbed your hips, yanking you back against him roughly.
âYou want it rough?â he taunted, the sound of his belt unbuckling making your stomach tighten with anticipation. You didnât answer, your breathing ragged.
You hated him for making you feel like this, for reducing you to this quivering mess of need. You hated him, hated the way his hands felt on you, hated how badly you wanted more. God, you despised Choi Seungcheol, and yet here you were, letting him do whatever he wanted to your body.
He slammed into you, all at once, stretching you open so suddenly that all you could do was gasp. The words died on your tongue, your nails digging into his arms, and his low groan against your ear sent a shiver down your spine.
âLook at youâ he murmured, as he pulled out just enough to thrust back in, the force pushing you further up the desk. âSo fucking cocky in the office, but now? Youâre letting me fuck you open without a fight?â
You smirked, breathless. âDidnât say I wouldnât fight.â
And just to prove your point, you lifted your leg, wrapping it around his waist and rolling your hips deliberately. He cursed, his fingers flexing against your skin before he retaliated, grabbing the back of your knee and pushing your leg higher, forcing you open even more.
âYou really wanna test me right now?â he growled, punctuating the words with a brutal thrust that had your head falling back against the desk.
Your moan echoed through the quiet office, and you knew the moment he heard it that youâd lost the upper hand.
"Thatâs more like it,â he muttered, dragging his lips along your jaw before biting down just enough to leave a mark. âAll that attitude, but at the end of the day, this is what you really wanted, isnât it?â
You refused to give him that satisfaction. âFuck you.â
âYou are.â
Your glare was half-hearted at best, especially when he pulled back just to watch himself sink into you again, a low groan slipping past his lips. âShit. Youâre squeezing me so tight. You sure you hate me?â
You bit your lip, refusing to answer, but the way your body responded to him told the truth.
Seungcheol knew it. And he was eating it up.
âI could make you cum just like this, couldnât I?â he murmured against your ear, rolling his hips in a way that had you gasping. âJust from my cock stretching you open, fucking you deep, making you feel exactly how youâre supposed to?â
Your hands fisted in his shirt, your pride hanging by a thread. You couldnât let him win. But then he moved his hand from your thigh to your throat, tilting your chin up so you had no choice but to meet his gaze.
His grip wasnât tightâjust enough pressure to keep you grounded, and make your head spin with something you didnât want to name.
âSay it.â His voice was a low command, rough and dripping with dominance. âSay you need me to make you cum.â
You swallowed hard, your pulse racing against his palm. Suddenly his other hand slipped between your bodies, fingers finding your clit with practiced ease.
Your entire body jolted at the contact, a choked moan escaping your lips before you could stop it. The overstimulation of his cock driving into you, his hand wrapped around your throat, and now his fingers rubbing slow, deliberate circlesâit was too much.
âSeungcheolââ
âSay it.â His lips brushed against your jaw. âOr should I stop?â
You gasped, shaking your head immediately. âDonât.â
He smirked against your skin, but his movements slowed, teasing. âThen say it.â
Your pride was shattered, as your body trembled with need. You couldnât hold out anymore, not when the pleasure was coiling so tight in your stomach, threatening to snap.
âFuckâI need you,â you whispered, barely audible.
Seungcheol groaned, his cock twitching inside you, but it wasnât enough. âLouder.â
You squeezed your eyes shut, your face burningâI need you to make me cum.â
The satisfaction in his chuckle made you want to slap him, but you didnât have time to dwell on it.
Because the moment the words left your mouth, he was relentless. His thrusts turned brutal, his fingers pressing harder against your clit, his grip on your throat tightening just slightly.
âThatâs my girl,â he murmured, possessive and smug.
The way he said it sent you spiraling, making the pleasure crashing over you like a tidal wave. Your entire body tensed, your walls fluttering around him as your orgasm hit you like a truck. You were barely aware of the sounds you were makingâhalf moan, half desperate cry, until you felt him groan against your skin.
âFuck, thatâs it,â he whined, his rhythm faltering. âLook at youâfuckâso pretty when you cum for me.â
His hips stuttered, his hands gripping you even tighter as he thrust deep one last time, his own release hitting him with a guttural groan. You felt, the warmth, and the way he pulsed inside youâand fuck, you shouldnât have liked it as much as you did.
For a long moment, neither of you moved, both of you catching your breath, the only sound in the room the ragged inhales and exhales of two people who had just crossed a line they could never uncross.
Then, slowly, Seungcheol leaned down, pressing his forehead against yours, his breath still uneven.
âStill think you donât need me?â he murmured, a smirk tugging at his lips.
Your glare was weak, your limbs too spent to push him away. âShut up.â
He chuckled softly, the sound vibrating through your chest, âSo, are we going to pretend like this never happened or...?â
his fingers brushed along your thigh almost absentmindedly as he pulled out, leaving you feeling cold and exposed. You reached down to fix your skirt, your cheeks still flushed with the intensity of your orgasm.
And thatâs when it hit you.
This wasnât the end.
This was just the beginning.
more.ââŠ

Beach Adventures
Pedro Pascal x fem!reader
Summary: Pedro takes the opportunity to fuck you at the beach.
Warnings/Tags: 18+ mdni!, unprotected p in v (wrap it before you tap it!), fingering, multiple orgasms (two), filthy talk, implied age gap (because, let's face it, we're all much younger than him), established relationship, porn without a plot
Word Count: 5.289
Authors Note: What. Did. I. Do. I don't know. But this video of Pedro? It sent me down a spiral I wasn't ready to be pushed down. This was living in my head rent-free since then, and i think it's time it does something for its stay! I hope you'll enjoy this. Never did anything for Pedro before, so this is kinda new. Also, it's been a while since I did smut, so, please, cut me some slack.
Enjoy!

You should have known he'd take that challenge - and succeed it.
Making you horny at the beach on your vacation? Yes.
Making you come on his fingers at the beach? Yes.
Fucking you at the public beach? Triple that yes.
Pedro sat in the reclined chair under the parasol at the beach, busy reading the book he had brought along for the Christmas holidays. You were sitting in a chair right beside his, bathing in the sun. He'd be lying if he said you weren't distracting him in your tiny swim suit.
You stretched a bit, the sun making you sleepy. "How's your book?" you asked, eyes still closed.
He chuckled softly at your comment, seeing as your eyes were still closed. Clearly you hadn't been paying attention to the world around you for a short moment. "It's alright. Very well written, but a little boring for my taste." he admitted, closing it for a brief moment just to admire the view of you in your swim suit. "How's... sun bathing going?"
You hummed. "Good." you said. "Though I'm sorry for the book. I know how excited you were about it."
He shook his head, waving it off almost immediately. He set the book to the side, turning his chair just a tiny bit to see you even better. "It's alright, babe. Can't like everything right?"Â Â
You hummed once more. "That's true."
His hand moved up onto your leg, running up and down your thigh absentmindedly. It was a very subtle move, but clearly, he was in need of some entertainment.
"Are you getting sun burnt yet? You've been laying there for a while - I'd hate for you to turn red later.â he mused.
You snorted under your breath. "I have some very good sunscreen." you told him. "Don't worry. I can still turn onto my front if you're scared, though."
He chuckled. Despite the fact he was enjoying the view of you lying there, he'd much rather see you on your stomach anyway. Less... distracting. "Oh yes, that would be much better. Don't wanna miss any spot while applying more sunscreen you know, gotta make sure everything is covered in SPF."
You hummed, turning onto your stomach. "You're absolutely right." you mumbled.
The sun felt so nice. It was a nice distraction from everything. Holidays meant no work, no events or galas to attend to. No dressing up, no socializing. Just Pedro, a couple friends, and you.
His eyes scanned you up and down, admiring your naked back and how the thin straps of your swim suit kept you from being completely exposed. Pedro didn't mind, he could easily pull those tiny strings...
He leaned forward, a small smirk forming on his face. His hand moved up and down your naked back, touching the smooth skin. Â
You sighed, relaxing into the chair. Â
He chuckled softly at your reaction, enjoying the fact he could get a reaction out of you just by touching your skin. He moved his fingers to the straps of your swim suit, pulling it a little. Â
"Would you mind if I took the straps off? So I could apply the sunscreen everywhere?" he wanted to know.Â
You repressed a snort. Right, for the sunscreen. "No, go ahead." Â
He smirked as you agreed. He was going to have a lot of fun here. His fingers moved around your body, pulling the straps off of it, exposing you almost completely. His eyes traveled up and down your body, taking in every inch of it in the process.Â
He grabbed the lotion, squirting a bunch of it into his hand, before slowly spreading it across your soft skin, covering you in sunscreen from the top of your neck all the way down your back. Â
"Pedro?" you mumbled his name. "Are we gonna go to that little bar we saw yesterday, later? It looked really nice." Â
He raised an eyebrow absentmindedly, his hands continuing to move across your body. He was just getting to your lower back now, massaging the sunscreen into your skin, not realizing you were talking at first until he heard you say his name once more. Â
"Hm?" He hummed, snapping out of the trance he had been in for the past few minutes. "Bar? Yeah, we can do that. I could use a few drinks and some music." Â
"Everything okay?" you asked, though you already knew what was going through his head. Being an actor meant for him being very busy and on the run most of the time, which left little time for... other activities. Â
Chuckling, Pedro leaned down and pressed a kiss to your lower back, not caring about the sunscreen heâd just applied there. He couldn't help it, you just looked so good, completely exposed for him to see and touch... Â
"I'm perfect, baby. Just got a little... distracted. That's all." He moved up onto his knees a bit, his hands slipping a bit further down your body. "We should go somewhere a little more... private, though."
You snorted softly. "Why?" you asked. "The sun's feeling so nice." Â
He chuckled, continuing to spread the sunscreen across your body, until he was on your legs. Once on the tops of your legs, he leaned forward, pressing a kiss to one thigh and then the other. Â
"You know exactly why, baby.â he mumbled into your skin. âYou don't need your thighs exposed to the world, not when I can take my time with you in private..." Â
"Didn't you do that this morning already?" you mused. The morning had indeed been... busy, causing you and Pedro to miss breakfast.Â
He hummed. Yes, they did do some... things earlier that day, but that felt like ages ago, and not nearly enough to satisfy him completely. Â
"I don't need a reason to enjoy your body again.â he gave back. âOr an excuse, for that matter. You should know that by now, mi amor." Â
"Oh, I do." you sighed. "Why do you think I brought this swimsuit?"
Snickering, he ran his hands up and down every soft curve of your body. âYou mean this little thing?" He tugged on the fabric of your top, enjoying how little it covered. "I do love it. Almost too much, darling...â
You chuckled quietly at his words. "Yeah?"
He nodded, his eyes traveling the length of your body once more. "It looks so... good.â he mumbled dreamily. âReally reveals your curves. I love it." His hands ran up and down your legs now, taking his time to caress your smooth skin. His touch on your thighs almost lingered just a bit longer than necessary.
"I'm glad." you mumbled. "Picked it just for you, mi amor."
He hummed happily as you called him that, his hands now moving to the inside of your thighs and then up to the tiny fabric strip of your swimsuit in the middle. He tugged on it a little as if testing your limits.
"You're trying to kill me here, aren't you?" he asked.
You grinned softly. "Only a bit."
He chuckled, continuing to tease you with his touch. His hand reached over, picking up the lotion again, before squeezing some onto your thighs, spreading it across your soft skin.
"You're gonna end up going to that bar with a little... problem, if you keep this up.â Pedro murmured.
You huffed. "What problem?"
Chuckling again, he continued to spread the lotion, moving further and further up your legs, until his knuckles were brushing against your bikini bottoms.
"Oh, I think you're smart enough to figure that one out, mi vida. Unless, of course, you want me to explain myself?"
"Please do." you breathed out, though knowing exactly what he meant. "Wouldn't wanna risk a misunderstanding."
He smirked, his hand moving just a little higher up and around your body. Then, very subtly, he moved his finger against the front of your bikini bottoms, pressing it right against the sensitive area there, not doing much, just touching.
"I think you know exactly what's about to happen if you push me a little further, darling."
You swallowed, heat rising up your spine. "You sure?" you asked, keeping your voice steady. "âCause I'm not."
He chuckled. You were testing him, challenging him. It excited him, though, knowing you wanted to see how far he'd go. He didn't mind showing you one bit.
"You're a naughty little tease." he breathed out, slowly applying pressure to your sweet clit with his finger, rubbing it gently and teasingly through the fabric, just to see your reaction.
You gritted your teeth, trying to keep your hips from moving. "Am I?" you asked. "And here I thought that part was yours, old man."
He smirked at you calling him old, knowing fully well by now that was only for the purpose of riling him up. He loved it.
"Old man? That ain't very nice, darling." He mused, rubbing over your clit a little rougher. He was trying to find your limits, testing your patience.
"Ain't it?" you breathed out, the slightest bit of strain to your voice. "Just stating facts. You're older than me, I was told to show respect to my elders."
He snickered. "Elders aren't the same as old men, mi amor.â he said. âI don't think you're showing much respect here. Not with the way you're teasing me, at least.â
"Not doing it on purpose." you tried to defend yourself, though it was a clear lie. "Maybe a little."
He smirked, continuing to rub your clit. Slowly, but surely, rubbing a little faster every time he moved his finger. He loved teasing you too, just to see when you'd give in.
"A little? You're doing it on purpose entirely, mi vida. You love to tease me, and you enjoy every second doing it." he gave back, brows furrowing slightly.
You bit your cheek, a strangled breath leaving your lips. "Just tryna test your durability." you said. "Fifteen years aren't nothing, baby."
Pedro chuckled, continuing is ministrations on your clit before moving his fingers across the edge of your bikini bottoms, teasing you with the idea of slipping them underneath them. He knew you couldn't last much longer, but you knew he was just as weak as you were.
"Hmm, you mean you doubt my durability, darling? Is that what you're trying to say here?" His voice was low, his words barely above a whisper.
You bit your lip. "I'm just tryna look out for you, JosĂš." you said. "Can't have you getting bored with me."
He chuckled and bit his lip, leaning down and whispering in your ear. "Oh, I could never get bored with you. Not after seeing you like this, mi amor. So beautiful, so... desirable." Moving his fingers back to your clit, he added a little more pressure, just enough to send a jolt through your body. "And that's why you won't ever have me get bored in the first place.â he added.
"Hngh- that's good to know." you pressed out, inhaling shakily. "You're being mean, Pedro."
He chuckled, his touch getting more intense the longer he continued. He loved to tease you like this, loved the way you reacted to his touch. He knew he was close to breaking you. All he had to do was push you just a little bit further.
"Oh, I'm being mean, am I?â he mused. âWell, maybe you should've thought about that before you decided to tease an old man like me, darling."
You scoffed. "That's not fair."
He smiled, leaning closer to your neck, his lips brushing against your skin. "Not fair?â he echoed, his hot breath fanning against your skin. âIt's not fair that you tease me, knowing what it does to me. And it's not fair that you keep testing me, just to see where I break, when we both know damn well that you aren't lasting much longer either.â
You bit your cheek. "We're at the beach." you breathed out.
He smiled, whispering against your skin, his hand running the risk of pushing your bikini bottoms to the side once more, but not quite getting there yet. He loved the reactions he was getting out of you so far, he loved the way you breathed faster, the way you squirmed. He loved it.
"No one's nearby.â he mumbled. âThey're all more towards the entrance of the beach, mi vida. We've got the corner all to ourselves..."
You huffed quietly. "Still wanna go to that private place?"
Pedro pressed a kiss to your shoulder, his hand moving across the crotch of your bikini bottoms. He was testing your limits.
"A private place would be nice, yes." he whispered to you. "Or we could stay right here, see how far you'll let me go...â
You swallowed, heat rising farther up your body. "That was the purpose of the question, Pedro.â you gave back, doing your best not to squeeze your thighs together.
Pedroâs fingers found your clit again, slowly beginning to move them in circles once more. He whispered into your ear, his voice low, rough.
âI just want you to admit it, mi vida... Are you desperate for me, darling? Do you need me as much as I need you right now?"
"Always, Pedro." you breathed out. "You know that."
He chuckled, gently kissing your neck again. That admission from you was more than enough for him. He knew you needed him just as bad as he needed you. Without warning, his fingers moved the fabric of your bottoms to the side, his fingertips brushing against your bare, sensitive folds.
"How much do you want me, mi vida?â he whispered. âYou need my touch? Need it so bad you're letting me do this right here in public?"
You swallowed thickly, the wetness pooling between your legs intensifying. "Yes, Pedro." you breathed out. "So much."
He hummed happily at your words, pleased with your response. He pushed a single finger inside of you, though not moving it yet.
"You'll need to stay quiet for me, mi amor.â he murmured. âWe wouldn't want anyone to see us, after all. Could you do that, darling?"
You bit your lip, leaning your forehead against the backrest as you let out a strangled breath. "Sure."
Pedro chuckled, moving his finger slowly in and out of you, eliciting a broken moan to spill from your lips. His movement was steady, but he didn't want to rush things just yet. You had time.
"Are you sure you can stay quiet?â he wondered out loud. âBecause you're not being all too quiet right now, mi amor. Just imagine what the others would think if they saw you right now... You're not as good at holding in your sweet little noises as you think you are."
You breathed shakily. "Yes, Pedro." you mumbled as your spine seemed to liquefy to lava. "I can.â
He smiled, chuckling softly in your ear. He knew you couldn't, he knew you would break eventually. But damn if it wasn't fun to tease you like this. He pressed a kiss to your neck.
"We shall see, mi amor. We shall see..."
His finger kept moving, steadily getting faster and rougher as he went along. Continuing to listen to you for now, he paid attention to any noise, any whimpers, or even the smallest of moans you let out.
You squeezed your eyes shut, trying to focus on your breathing. White hot pleasure nipped at your nerve endings, want and desire swirling through you.
Pedro knew what he had to do. He moved his finger faster, pressing his lips to your neck, moving up and down the sensitive skin there.
âThatâs it, mi vida. Just focus on your breathing.â he whispered to you, his movements not stopping anytime soon. âGood, good. Just breatheâŠâÂ
You squirmed, feeling lightheaded already. âPedro.â you breathed out. âYouâre not helping.âÂ
âI know.â he whispered, his lips pressed against the sensitive spot behind your ear. He was enjoying getting this reaction out of you, enjoying this game of his.Â
âBut I want to see how bad you need Me. How bad youâre craving my touch.â He pressed a kiss to your neck again. âYouâre holding out longer than I expected you to, mi amor. Maybe you deserve a little more?âÂ
âPlease, Pedro.â you breathed out. For someone so innocent looking he clearly wasnât.Â
He chuckled softly to your begging, amused by your submission to him. He hadnât expected you to break that quickly. But now that he had you so desperate, begging him⊠Who was he to deny you, mi amor?Â
âYouâre doing so good, mi vida. So good for me.â he whispered to you, moving his finger inside of you faster for a second, before pulling it out and moving it up. He found your sweet nub again, rubbing against it before he started moving his fingertips in figure eights, adding pressure as he went.Â
You drew in a sharp breath, hips bucking almost automatically into his hand as more heat crept up your spine. You whimpered, desperately trying to keep quiet. Maybe it hadnât been your best idea to do this out here.Â
He grinned against your neck, enjoying the reaction he got out of you. You were so perfect, so responsive to his touch. To him. He loved it, loved the way you bucked your hips into his hand, trying to get more, the way you whimpered so quietly, trying to keep it in.Â
âShhh, mi amor. Remember you need to stay quiet. You donât want the people nearby knowing what weâre doing.â he reminded you. As if he had to. âDo you?âÂ
You huffed. Or the press. Thatâd be a headliner, though. Pedro Pascal fucking his younger girlfriend at the public beach. âI know...â you groaned. Your hips already ached, the coil inside of you winding tighter and tighter.Â
âDonât let out too much more noise, mi amor.â Pedro said, his tone almost a whine as his strong facade crumbled. âI donât think I can hold out much longer if you keep whining and whimpering like that."Â
You whined on purpose, biting your lip, hard. Fuck! you thought. He was driving you right towards the edge of sweet bliss.Â
Pedro heard the whine, knowing that meant he was pushing you closer to the edge. He couldnât hold back anymore, he was too excited and needed you just as bad as you needed him. He gently bit down on your exposed neck, hard enough to leave a mark, causing you to hiss.Â
âHush, mi amor.â he whispered, tongue brushing over the mark. âWeâre still in public. Hold back the cute little noises youâre making and I promise, I give you whatever you want later.âÂ
âPlease, Pedro.â you whimpered, squirming underneath him. âNeed you now.âÂ
He chuckled in your ear, enjoying your begging. He was getting close to losing control, losing any sense of decency. But he wanted to get you off before he took care of himself, wanting to see you finish first. Hearing you whimper had him losing his composure, so desperate to do it right then and there.Â
You whimpered as he picked up the pace, leaving you trembling as you teetered on the edge, gasping for air. âPedro,â you breathed out. âI- Iâm-âÂ
He smiled as he heard the desperate way you were begging for him, knowing you were close, and he didnât dare stop now.Â
âShhh, mi vida. I know⊠I know youâre close, mi amor.â he whispered soothingly, wanting to send you over the edge. âDonât hold it back, mi amor. Iâve got you. Let go.âÂ
You squirmed, drawing in a shaky breath before you squeezed your eyes shut, covering your mouth with your hand as you came, violently clenching around nothing. Your body trembled, hips bucking wildly.Â
He could still hear the sweet little whimpers leaving your throat as you came for him. Just hearing you like that almost sent him over the edge on its own, his own breathing heavy in your ear as he helped bring you back down from the high.Â
âThatâs it, mi amor. Good, good. You did so good for me, mi amor.âÂ
You gasped for air, trying to steady yourself. Fuck.Â
He pulled his hand away, letting you catch your breath for a bit., moving his hands back up to your thighs. He wasnât done with you yet. âYou did such a good job holding back your sweet litle moans, mi amor.â he whispered to you, leaning down and pressing small kisses to your neck. âNow I think you deserve a little more.âÂ
You swallowed, wanting nothing more than for him to just fuck you into oblivion already. âPlease...âÂ
He pressed more kisses to your neck, his hands moving back to the edge of your bikini bottoms, tugging at them. âPlease what, mi amor?â he teased. âYou need to tell me, darling. Use your words.âÂ
âPlease fuck me, Pedro.â you breathed out, not caring how desperate you sounded. Youâd go crazy if he wouldnât be inside of you soon.Â
âThere you go, mi amor.â he mumbled, his lips brushing against your sensitive skin, fingers slowly pulling your bikini bottoms to the side once more, exposing you further to him. He loved the sight. Heâd never get tired of it. Â
âThatâs exactly what I wanted to hear.â he mumbled, leaning down a bit, pressing a kiss to the top of your spine before moving his hands and cupping your ass, squeezing slightly.Â
Another sight heâd never grow tired of. He groaned quietly as you wiggled underneath him impatiently, your ass swaying with every movement. Yet he was just as impatient. Pulling his swimming trunks down enough to free his throbbing cock, he gave it a few pumps. He would have been lying if he said he hadnât already been leaking into his trunks as heâd taken care of you. âYou gotta be quiet, baby.â he mumbled, using his precum to lubricate himself.Â
âIâll be quiet.â you gave back. âI promise.âÂ
âGood girl.â he mumbled, positioning himself, before slowly and gently beginning to rub his aching length against your glistening folds, letting the friction build up for a few moments.Â
You suppressed a moan, inhaling shakily. He was riling you up and you loved and hated it.Â
He smiled, moving his hips just a bit faster.Â
âYouâre being very quiet, mi amor.â he mused. âAre you actually serious about keeping your promise?âÂ
âYes.â you breathed out, eyes fluttering. âYes, mi amor.âÂ
Humming happily, he moved his hips again, a subtle hint that he was going to push in, if you were ready. You pushed your ass further up, as good as it was possible in your position.Â
âIâm going to hold you to that promise, darling.â he whispered, his hand gripping onto your hip a bit tighter.Â
With one final movement, he finally pushed inside, stretching you oh so deliciously. He moved his fingers back onto your hip to steady you, whilst he sank further and further into your warmth, hissing as your velvety walls clenched and fluttered around him in response.Â
Your eyes rolled to the back of your head with a gasp as he split you open. Fuck, so big. You would never get used to his girth, no matter how often heâd fuck you.Â
He listened to your reaction, enjoying the way you gasped with a small grin. He always loved to hear you like this, cherishing the moment heâd sink into you. He rarely did it fast, too greedy for the way you reacted, nearly sucking him in.Â
âPussyâs so good to me.â he mumbled, his breath hot against your neck. He wanted this to last for a while, but he didnât know how long he could hold out. Â
You shivered at his words, clenching around him. He hissed in return, huffing a breathy chuckle. He knew you did it on purpose, and damn if he didnât love it.Â
Slowly, he started moving his hips, trying to be gentle and not rock the chair â or worse, topple it over. It wouldnât have been the first time, yet he didnât need it to happen right here where everyone could see.Â
He moved slow, wanting to enjoy this, every gasp, every whimper that left your lips. âYou're so good for me, mi vida.â he breathed out, hips rutting into you a bit faster. âPussyâs been made for my cock, huh?â
You clenched around him, sighing his name. âOnly for you, baby.â Â
A soft moan left his mouth as he felt you clench around him once more. âSo sweet and eager for me.âÂ
He thrust a little harder, faster, effectively fucking the thoughts of other people possibly seeing you out of your head. Leaning closer, his chest brushed your back as he angled his hips to push deeper.Â
You moaned quietly, his name leaving your parted lips. âMore, please, Pedro.â you whimpered.Â
He pressed a kiss to your neck, grinning against your skin as he heard you moan his name again. As you asked for more, he moved a little faster, his hand slipping farther down your body.Â
âThatâs it, mi amor⊠Moan my name for me.â he whispered, pressing a kiss to the shell of your ear. He could tell he was getting close already, but he wanted to be absolutely certain you were getting what you needed first. Not that he had any doubts that you were enjoying every second of this, considering your whimpers and sounds, but he wanted to make sure.Â
âLet me know when youâre close, mi amor. Want you to finish before me.â he breathed into your ear, teeth tugging on it lightly.Â
You clenched around him once more at his words. Always so considerate. âI willâ you breathed out in a whimper. âWant you to come inside of me. Want your cum dripping outta me, Pedro.âÂ
He moaned hearing your words. Hearing you telling him exactly what you wanted was just so damn exciting, so hot⊠it pushed him right towards the edge.Â
âAnything you want, mi amor.â he promised. âWill give you anything you want, mi vida. Anything you need.âÂ
His movements were getting rougher now, not bothering to hold back from you anymore. He didnât need to. He could trust you, he knew you wouldnât give them away to anyone. He just knew. And that allowed him to forget about everything else, just focus on you and this moment right there.Â
âDo you need more, mi amor? Are you getting close, mi vida?â he wanted to know.Â
You whimpered in return. âMore, please?â you asked. âYour fingers, please, Pedro. Can feel you twitching already.âÂ
He growled against your skin, wrapping his arm around your chest, holding you firmly, so he could use his other hand for you. âThatâs it. Thatâs my good, sweet girl. Asking for what you want, being so desperate for me. I like that, mi amor. IâIl give you what you need.â he mumbled directly Into your ear, the words sending chills through your body as you listened to them.Â
âMove your lower half up for me a little, so I can take care of you, mi amor.âÂ
You did as you were told, lifting your hips a little.Â
Pedro hummed happily feeling you move, giving him a better angle. He was pretty certain that nobody from the beach would be able to see anything from here, and he didnât care either. All he cared about right now was you and that you needed him. His hand slid down your body, feeling down your stomach for a moment, until it was able to move the fabric of your bottoms aside once more. His fingertips found your sweet clit, rubbing over it in small, quick movements, wanting to please you. Sure, he could have taken his time, could have made you come on his cock alone, but he didnât know how much time you had until someone would question what was going on under your parasol. He wanted to make sure you felt good, and make sure youâd reach your peek.Â
You moaned, eyes rolling to the back of your head as you gasped, hoping no one would hear you.Â
âShhh, mi amor, youâre being so good.â he praised you. âBeing so quiet. Such a good girl for me. But I know youâre close.â He moved his hips a little rougher, moving them in a steady, quick pace now, matching his fingers. He was getting close, and he was starting to get desperate, but he never forgot about your needs.Â
Moving his fingertips in quick, small circles, he knew it would almost certainly send you over the edge. He didnât know how much longer heâd be able to last, but he didnât care. It was all about you, about making you feel good. Â
The pleasure was mind numbing, the way he fucked you always so good. It didn't take long for you to teeter on the edge.
You stiffened slightly in his hold, hiding your face in the backrest of the chair as the coil tightened, and you fell apart, desperately trying to muffle any sounds. Â
A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as he heard you finally let go, falling apart for him. It was an amazing sight when he was able to make you finish, and he loved it. Just then though, he was unable to hold back. You clenching around him, your noises you tried to keep quiet⊠He finally gave in, coming inside of you, gasping into your ear as he breathed your name over and over again.  Â
You whimpered, eyes rolling to the back of your head. Perfect, just perfect.Â
He pressed kisses to your neck, trying to catch his breath, still holding you against his chest. He needed you close, he just needed to feel you against him, needed to be close to you right in that moment. You grounded him like no one else did.
âI love the way you sound when you come for me, darling.â he mumbled, nuzzling his nose into your neck. âItâs so sweet and perfect. The sounds you make... I love them. I love every part of youâŠâÂ
You smiled, still trying to calm your breathing âI love you, Pedro.â you breathed out, exhausted. Â
He chuckled softly into your neck, holding you close against his chest and kissing your neck a couple times. âI love you too, mi vida. So much. Youâre perfect.âÂ
He slowly pulled out, pulling your bottoms back into place. As much as he would have loved to just stay there with you, he knew they eventually had to move. He had no intention of leaving you anytime soon though. He was happy here on the beach.Â
You whimpered involuntarily when he pulled out, sighing deeply as you sank further into the chair. âYouâre too good to me, Pedro.â you mumbled. âLeaving me full of your cum.âÂ
He chuckled into your neck, loving how you spoke to him. He was already addicted enough to you, but hearing you using such filthy words... He pressed another kiss to your neck, his own breathing still a little heavy. âIâII always take care of you, mi amor. And I love taking care of you, especially in this way⊠I canât deny you what you need, especially when Iâm getting something out of it too.âÂ
You huffed a chuckle. âSounds just fair.âÂ
He smiled, holding you in his arms, just enjoying the moment before anything else. âIt does sound fair, doesnât it?â he mumbled. âThere is one disadvantage to this, though.â Â
You frowned, turning your head so your cheek rested against the backrest. âWhat is it?â Â
He moved his head a little bit, leaning it against yours, wrapping his arms around you in a tight embrace. âI'm not going to be able to let you wander around this beach again wearing just this without thinking of what Iâm going to do to you in this seat again.âÂ

CUBE 1

The majority of them are likely intimidated by you. You seem to emanate an air of competence and confidence that make them question their worth. They probably ask themselves if you really need them in your life, what value can they contribute to your life. Because you seem to not need any unnecessary attachments and focus on your success. You seem to be very ambitious and determined when it comes to social status and money. You're serious and hardworking, ready to put up with the grind and challenges, as long as you can achieve your goals.
You're not warm and friendly, but you can charm anyone, like a fantasy, a perception spiral that draws in people's eyes. The snake and the apple together, the cat and mouse, the tiger and the deer, the bee and the tree, these pairs form an image of something forbidden and dangerous. Those who are attracted to you romantically feel like they're being preyed upon, but they can't help but want to come closer. Some would think that you would make a great trophy and elevate their status and value if they're seen being with you.
They think you like to keep a roster of admirers around you just for fun. Like you're toying with them, giving them the illusion of hope but always out of reach. Whatever you're showing to the world, people can only admire from afar, they are not allowed to touch. If you flaunt your beauty and talent, it's simply because you like to, without any motives of capturing a specific someone's heart. They can feel like you just want to capture the heart of everyone, the adoration of the mass rather than of any individuals.
The way you speak can be teasing. Your words seem to have hidden meanings, innuendos that only a discerning ears and a sharp mind can catch on. You don't like to argue or shut down anyone. You seek verbal entertainment and companionship everywhere you go. They may feel a little cautious when talking to you, afraid of unwittingly slipping up some of their secrets. And they don't know if you would use those to your advantage later on.
Being in a relationship with you feeling a tug of war, a struggle for power and domination. You don't do the subtle game when it comes to someone you're interested in. Once someone becomes your target, they can't help but feel like they're being hunted. And I think some actually want to be willing preys. Because they feel like it can transform them, that they can experience the highest of high and the lowest of low when they're with you. It would take a brave soul to stand in front of you without running away after some displays of power.
CUBE 2

They probably think you're a work hard, play-hard person, you know how to get what you want and how to have fun. You have an air of graceful but passionate competence that is not for the weak of heart. The first thing they notice about you is your go-getter attitude, you seem to have whatever, whoever you want, you set your sight on something or someone, next moment, they are yours. You just know how to go after your desire. But not in an aggressive manner at all, just pure confidence and focus. This also makes them think that you have everything you want already, you don't really need anything that doesn't add value to your life. You might be a target for some opportunists who want to bask in the light of your abundance. But you're wise and discerning enough not to entertain them.
Your admirers might feel that your life is not very stable at the moment or was like that in the past, you had to face something very difficult and had triumphed it. This gives you a resilient yet shrew way of viewing life. They sense that you will be able to get out every crisis with ease, because you're experienced and no stranger to the act of reinventing yourself. This also makes you a little slippery, as if no one, nothing can hold you down, you're always free and belong to yourself only. Some are very intrigued by this depth and attitude, they want to explore more, to see your hidden demons, it's thrilling, like trying to conquer a mystical creature of the deep.
You probably don't show these demons of yours to just anyone. The way you talk doesn't have any hint of struggle, you know just what to show, what to conceal. To everyone, you're this perfect creature that nothing can stand in your way. You also have the tendency to point out fallacy and pretence. They think they won't have any chance with you if they try to act over the top, boast or flaunt unreal achievements in front of you, deceit is out of the window, you have no patience for that. You seek someone who can elevate your spirit, someone who is your equal, who can confront you and stand their ground.
In love, you are much more softer, you like to joke, to play with your lover. In fact, romance is something vital to you, no matter how much you try to disguise it behind the image of independence. To the people you love, you're loyal to the extreme, you're willing to go through any hell for them, that's why you're extremely picky. Some would mistake your general detached friendliness as romantic interest. You could strike up a conversation with any stranger and easily get them to open up, but you don't let them in easy, not without some testings first.
CUBE 3

You have an interesting combination of strongwill strength and softness that can be seen in various situations. Your admirers' views of you might differ wildly, maybe you attract different kinds of people and they have different way of perceiving you, some can see a trait more prominent, some see other traits as more representative of who you are as a person.
At first glance, you can be authoritative and protective of your energy. You come off as reserved and a little bit aloof, someone who prioritises their peace and solitude above all else. But you aren't standoffish or dismissive of others. When the situation calls for it, you can step up and work well with others. Some would see you as a protector, while others see you as the one who needs protection. There's vulnerability in your expression, but you're never a victim. You know how to direct your life as your own master. But at times, some can see that you don't welcome them at first interaction, almost as if you're trying to run away or hide from them. It takes a lot to gain your trust and for you to open up with someone. Even then, they still feel like you're ready to bolt at the slightest of threat.
But in general, their impression of you is favourable. Once you've decided that you can trust a person, you relax and be in your nurturing energy more. You're a loyal friend, even those with romantic intentions can see this clearly about you, this is what they find so attractive about you. They feel that being with you won't be just like being with a lover, but with a best friend, their biggest supporter, and a cheerleader. Your light doesn't outshine others, it enlivens and inspires other to shine on their own. Your admirers find your individuality and creativity really attractive. They admire you as a person, and at the same time, feel hopeful and lifted up by your energy, which makes them want to be like that themselves. You have a way to nurture the biggest treasure in a person, you help them connect with a deeper meaning in life.
Some can feel lost in your energy because it's too encompassing. They wonder if the compassion you give them is for them only or is it universal. So they can feel like they're competing with a lot in your life for your attention. You make them feel so grounded, yet you remain elusive. They feel that no matter how much they try, how close they get to you, how long they're with you, they can't never grasp your true essence.
CUBE 4

Many would think that you're hiding a vulnerable inner self behind a mask of bravery and strength. They feel like fear is the main motivator of your actions. You don't want people to discover that you're actually a vulnerable human being, that you can be needy and fearful, that you need someone to protect you. Because you feel that showing that side of you to the world will make you an easy target for exploitation and hurt. So you don a mask of independence, sometimes aggressively.
You're on guard towards strangers, but to the people who have gotten to know you better, your admirers included, they can see that soft heart of yours and they really love it. It's the contradictory energy within you that intrigues lots of people. You can look fierce on moment, but if something happens to touch your heart, your expression can immediately soften. Behind the hard exterior is a caring and nurturing person. As long as you feel safe in their presence, you can relax and act more spontaneously. Your laugh might be very contagious, filled with pure joy that can immediately make the other person feeling at ease with you.
In a group, you can assume the role of a "leader" or someone who can give the direction and guide people. You don't like to talk too much but still have a way to make people listen and respect your opinions. But some can feel that you tend to hide your true intentions, your plan. You might show off your skill, your verbal dexterity, but you don't like to actually talk about your deeper thoughts. You like to make people around you laugh, but you don't want to reveal your sadness. It's like, when it comes to your own world, your own path, you don't want anyone to see it, lest they hinder you from moving forward. This can make some people think that you can be sneaky and strategic in your moves. What they see might not be what they get.
This group feels shorter and hard to articulate because there's a resistance. Even when you do allow people into your world, you are still reluctant to let them in fully. Some will feel frustrated and give up, and some will take it as a challenge and want to advance deeper to finally solve your mystery.

RIDICULOUS â L.N

in which lando can longer cope with you laughing at the mere idea of being with him, and you realise it wouldnât be that ridiculous. but it may be all too late.
warnings; nswf, smut, unprotected sex, friends to lovers, lando in the friend zone, implied that reader is a year or two older than lando, little bit of angst, choking, soft dom!lando, silly reader, overstimulation i guess, lotta praise, oral, fluff at the end if you squint
lando was infatuated the moment he met you.
it took a while to realise how strongly he felt, considering he met you at arguably the most chaotic time of his life.
his first year in f1, carlos his teammate; meaning you were around every race from the start, to this day.
he wanted his own photographer after a mere few interactions with you, but quickly realised he only cared about photos because you were the one occasionally taking them.
carlos signing for ferrari meant lando was losing two people; his teammate and you. his friend.
heâd jokingly asked you to jump ship, work for him instead. if only you knew how serious he was being.
you never looked at lando the way he looked at you. he was like a friends annoying little brother, one you couldnât help but pity and adore.
he made you laugh, was fun to be around. a change from the personalityâs you would come across in the paddock. it was no shock to you that carlos built a bond with him â as did you.
since joining ferarri you didnât see the brit as much as youâd like, not that carlosâ new teammate was a let down. charles was lovely. you didnât feel invasive taking shots of the pair of them.
but you still kept it touch. occasional group outings, dinners and celebrations. you werenât oblivious to the way he always made time for you. but you were naive to the deeper meanings.
his flirtations were nothing of concern, to you it was a running joke. amongst many of you; you didnât think lando actually wanted anything from you beyond platonic.
he could handle rejection. but being laughed at? he could only cope for so long.
âhe begged me to invite you tonight,â carlosâ words were teasing, directed towards you yet his eyes rested on lando; out for dinner with a few other team members from mclaren carlos hadnât caught up with in a while.
melbourne was one of your favourite races for this very reason, having to get here so early meant you had time to catch up with those in the paddock away from the craziness.
landoâs eyes lifted from the menu he was reading; scoffing immediately, already prepared to jump on the defence â not giving you a chance to speak.
âi was making sure you hadnât forgotten anyone, y/n included.â lando corrected, flashing you a grin in the midst of his explanation, one you mirrored.
âiâd like to think my presence would be a given,â you huffed back at carlos; and lando felt a fool for allowing his heart to jump at the prospect of you also defending him.
âof course it is. just saying, lando was set on making sure youâd be here.â carlos smirked; eyes now on his own menu, pretending as if he wasnât attempting to stir the pot.
âhe misses you,â an engineer spoke up from besides lando, nudging the british driver who could only roll his eyes; not at all unfamiliar with being targeted with such banter. he copped it a lot worse when you were all on the same team.
âmhm, misses me. not carlos.â you grinned; practically bragged â nudging carlos this time; youâd grown a talent it seemed for redirecting the topic of conversation. trying too at least, and the way lando smirked made it clear he appreciated your efforts.
heâd nodded as well, confirming your words. in no way ashamed to admit he missed you more than the spaniard, while it didnât seem like there was any truth to his words with the playful smile on his face; the assumption couldnât be any closer to the truth.
âif you miss her so much you should go out for dinner just the pair of you,â carlos challenged quickly; earning an eye roll from yourself and a small giggle at the idea â oh the shit show that would be, you and lando out for dinner. you could read the headlines now.
lando caught the way you laughed, you however missed the way his eyes snapped to you in the moment. the way his smile faltered, merely from watching you completely dismiss and laugh at the idea of spending just a single dinner with him alone. whatâs so funny about that? could it really be the most absurd idea? no matter how many times you reacted in such a way it always stung.
he recovered almost instantly however, like he always does.
âwouldnât want to hurt your feelings, know you donât like to be left out.â lando mused; earning another laugh from you â one that was music to his ears, hearing you laugh at his jokes was always enough to have him holding his chin a little higher.
âoh iâd be more than happy to see you finally get out of the friend zone.â carlos regretted his words the moment they left his mouth, catching the way landoâs smile fell and jaw tensed â quickly realising his teasing may have gone too far.
your lack of reaction killed lando more than carlosâ words did, the way you barely battered an eyelash â completely unbothered while he sat here trying to not pop a blood vessel. he wanted to defend the relationship or friendship you had, but there wasnât much to defend.
because carlos was right, he was painfully stuck in the friend zone.
âhow much longer till you realise these jokes got old two years ago?â you sounded awfully unbothered as your gaze remained on your menu, only looking up when another engineer spoke up.
âitâs just a joke?â heâd asked in full seriousness, eyes flickering between yourself and lando. he wasnât on carlosâ side of the garage, always working on landoâs side. he barely interacted with you; only heard things through the grapevine.
âobviously.â you spoke as if it wasâŠobvious, and the laugh you let out wouldâve softened the blow of your words had lando not already heard this a thousand times.
âah, ah, ah. donât forget about silverstone.â carlos simply couldnât keep his mouth shut; bringing up the night where everyone was convinced you and lando spent the night together.
which would be valid if you actually had, but you hadnât. you went home together purely because you both were tired. he dropped you at your hotel room, didnât even come inside. somehow no one believed either of you when you squashed their suspicions that âlandoâs wish had finally come true.â
âdonât be ridiculous.â you scoffed, shaking your head ever so slightly. landoâs silence wouldâve been deafening if others werenât jumping in to speak, and maybe you wouldâve noticed his lack of input if you spared him a glance.
he was managing to muster a fake smile, it was almost painful. any amusement he was clinging too had vanished, wanting the conversation to be over with.
âitâs not ridiculous.â carlos huffed; and lando almost wanted to nod in agreement. thank him even. because it wasnât ridiculous, he didnât think so at least. it made sense to him. you made so much sense to him.
âit is.â the nail in the coffin, lando couldnât keep smiling anymore. you sounded oh so certain, all the while the smile hadnât left your face. âcome on now,â you added in exaggeration at carlosâ unconvinced face.
lando wasnât sure what you said next, he didnât want to hear it. he couldnât figure out why hearing all of this was suddenly unbearable, but before he knew it he was not so subtlety excusing himself â something about getting another drink, before standing up and bee lining to the bar.
the abrupt departure didnât halt anyone elseâs movements, conversations continuing and carlos joining in a debate with his cousin and his old mclaren press officer; while your attention got stuck on landoâs full glass ahead of you.
he didnât need another drink.
you watched as he weaved through the crowds, the way he failed to smile at anyone he passed by; the tension clear in his jaw; it almost appeared as if he was scowling.
it was funny, because your first thought was if you offended him. but you couldnât figure out what possibly could have; it was laughable how unaware you were of his feelings.
âiâll be back,â you excused yourself, standing up and following in landoâs directions without any hesitance; a slight frown on your face as you dodged people left and right to get to the bar.
you werenât sure why the prospect of upsetting him upset you so much, but the sudden urgency to check on him was too powerful to ignore.
ârude to not offer a girl a drink you know?â
landoâs eyes only shifted towards you for a mere couple of seconds when you made your presence known. he could count on one hand the amount of times he wished to be alone when you were near, but this was one of them.
he was drained, unable to fake any more smiles or shrug off any more comments. blame it on the jet lag.
âapologises,â he hummed; not offering you another glance which had your suspicions confirmed, your furrowed brow showing concern not that he could see. his blue eyes were focused ahead on the busy bartender.
âyou good?â you internally cringed as the words left your lips, unable to figure out a way to address the sudden mood without sounding overbearing or overstepping.
you watched as his shoulders tensed; as his eyes strategically continued to avoid you, only making the pit in your stomach feel deeper, as if it could swallow you whole.
âpeachy.â his sarcasm was clear, and while it would usually be a relief it wasnât laced with the usual humour. it was blunt, dismissive â and if you had any doubts left about being the reason for him running off, they were now squashed.
âdid i say somethingâ did carlos say something?â the questions stumbled out of your lips in concern, biting down on the inside of your cheek. âiâve tried to tell him to lay off with the jokes, itâs stupid i know.â you began to ramble.
lando finally let his gaze land on you, and the sight of your sympathetic eyes and worried frown had him feeling guilty. which was ridiculous, but suddenly he felt an urge to reassure you he was fine. that you hadnât said anything.
but you had.
âitâs not the jokes,â lando cut you off; hands running over his head, even letting out a laugh at how pathetic he sounded. he was going to continue, explain it further; but he stopped himself.
he couldnât. it was a can of worms that must remain shut.
you stood in silence for a moment, under the impression heâd keep speaking. but he didnât. leaving you with no explanation; just further confusion.
âno?â you hummed; eyebrows raising. âbecause i totally get if it is. itâs ridiculous how they keep going onââ you were rambling again, trying to make the situation better. attempting to ensure he felt heard, that he could speak to you about what was bothering him.
so oblivious to the fact you were just digging yourself a deeper hole.
there was that word again; ridiculous.
âis it? is it really that ridiculous?â lando couldnât stop the question from flying out of his mouth; only now turning to properly face you; in time to catch the dumbfounded look on your face from his question.
it took a few moments to try understand what he meant, coming up short as you stared at him clueless, lips parting to try come up with something to say but falling short.
âis what?â you mumbled, suddenly all confidence was gone. almost scared to hear the answer; purely because you recognised the doubt and regret illustrating his face.
but lando had nothing else to lose, youâve rejected him in front of everyone else without realising. whatâs once more?
âus. dinner us two, having gone home together in silverstone. this?â lando sighed out like it was obvious, hands waving between the pair of you.
because to him it was so obvious. the amount of times heâs almost asked you to join him for a meal, just the pair of you.
maybe if he had youâd see what he saw.
silverstone meant so much to him, having expected nothing from you but he thought about the taxi ride back to the hotel more than heâd like to admit. he couldâve sworn youâd been flirting with him that night.
he even thought it wouldâve been the start of something.
optimism was a curse however, because stupidly lando thought perhaps after finally expressing his feelings that maybe youâd reveal your hidden reciprocation. that maybe you were scared like him.
but instead all he could see was shock. and confusion. and fuck, was that sympathy?
âwhat?â it was a weak response, but all you could muster. you were attempting to find any other explanation for his words, to figure out what he could be implying.
lando had to laugh, shaking his head as he faced the bar again; hands running over his face as you quickly realised he was being fully serious.
âitâs notâ weâve neverâ i mean it would be weird.â word vomit, you didnât know what you were saying; usually so careful with your words you knew the moment lando looked at you in shock and offence youâd be haunted by that very sentence. ânot weirdâ but,â you attempted to fix your mistake, eyes screwing shut.
another laugh from him beat you to it however.
âridiculous. i got it,â lando spoke through a breath, sounding incredibly defeated which had your stomach dropping.
you struggled to find words to assure him, still attempting to process what heâd just told you. you hadnât ever looked at him in that way. he was always just⊠lando.
âlandoâŠâ you trailed off with a frown, only now starting to realise the position you both were now in.
the awkward tension was growing quickly and youâd never despised something so quickly. you refused to let this be the bitter end to your friendship.
âitâs fine. just drop it.â lando huffed, standing up straight; eyes finding yours once more. he didnât want you to feel bad, heâd accepted long ago that his chances of you feeling the same were slim.
you canât apologise for how you feel.
âno we should talk about it,â you disagreed, so much concern and care in your eyes it almost made him sick. he didnât need that from you. and the last thing he wanted to do was talk about how heâd spent years pining over you.
heâd kept it secret for a reason, to avoid this.
âiâll pass,â lando hummed; the half smile he mustered up did little to comfort you as he licked his bottom lip and glanced around the room. âiâm gonna head up,â he cleared his throat.
youâd gone to express your dismay with such thing, but he was walking off before you could get another word out; left alone at the bar dumbfounded and suddenly in need of a drink.
it would be quite sad to admit that one revelation could change your whole weekend. but it did.
youâve never had trouble sleeping, in fact the jet lag usually knocked you out. yet youâd spent the best of your time in melbourne thinking through every word lando said. looking back on every damn interaction the two of you shared.
you felt like an idiot. because suddenly it made a lot of sense, what you failed to realise in the moment fell together piece by piece.
an insight into his intentions for the effort heâd put into the friendship over the last couple years was eye opening, and while you were unsure as to how you hadnât assumed such thing sooner, you found yourself asking the question how it made you feel.
youâd be lying if you didnât have a few moments of giddiness as you recounted certain times. how he drove you home from pre-season testing one time because you didnât feel well. how he always got you flowers for your birthday.
suddenly your mind was consumed with the thought of lando every waking second. from the moment you entered the paddock on thursday you were looking for him. which didnât make sense considering you had plans to avoid him.
you didnât want to make things worse than they were. but for some reason he was the only thing on your mind, to the point it was becoming an issue as you tried to go about your work.
not once in your career had you been pulled up on anything, so when carlos questioned if you were okay friday afternoon â claiming you had been slacking, you knew you were fucked.
thereâs no way you felt the same. surely not.
you had to stand by what you said. itâd be weird?
he was lando. annoying lando who couldnât grow a speck of facial hair and flinched at the sight of fish.
except saturday, when you finally laid eyes on the driver again, it was cruel slap in the face of reality when you realised that was almost 5 years ago. youâd both changed. lando had changed.
you almost spiralled when you found yourself admiring the driver. had his mclaren top always been so tight around his biceps? had his skin always been so sun kissed? not to mention the way his curls sat atop his head.
you suddenly felt insane. youâd never looked at him in that light, never thought what if. but his confession had you a mess of thoughts, oneâs you had to run away from. causing you to spend the rest of the weekend hidden away in ferrariâs hospitality.
you could only hide for so long, carlos had won â which was enough to get your mind off of the british driver for a whole 4 minutes until they were up on the podium together.
work was your priority however, but you couldnât help but notice just how nicely lando photographs. you only ever focused on carlos, considering he paid your wage. but as you took shots and shots of the pair interacting before and after the podium from afar you couldnât help but note how lando was practically glowing.
your head was a mess, and as you now stood in a random club in melbourne, you had no idea what your next move was.
you couldnât exactly deny going out to celebrate when carlos had won. so your next wish was that lando simply wouldnât be in attendance.
but he was, and your eyes hadnât left him all night.
still having not spoken for days, you couldnât shake the urge to congratulate him. yet for some reason you were scared, you didnât trust yourself. fearing youâd say something youâd regret. which was a foreign feeling. lando was usually the easiest person for you to talk too.
ïżŒhowever you could only stand in the corner with a drink as your only company for so long. a sudden wave of confidence washing over you, or more so desperation to stop being so childish, causing you to down your drink before setting off towards the british driver.
it was when you were only a few metres from him that you realised you should probably have a game plan, and if he hadnât locked eyes with you there was a high chance you wouldâve backed out. turned around and walked away.
instead you were left to improvise.
âgood job today,â you smiled widely when you got into ear shot; unable to shake the tightness in your chest, feeling suddenly out of breath as if you had sprinted over here.
lando appeared much more relaxed than he had last time you spoke. which made sense. heâd put it on the podium, why wouldnât he be in a good mood?
âthank you,â the driver grinned, unable to be stumped when he was still running high off adrenaline. plus, he figured you would pretend the other evening never happened. which he would happily take.
your script ended there however. you had no idea what to say. or where to look, since when was eye contact with lando hard?
âimpressive from carlos,â lando managed to fill the silence, and you could feel the relief at the fact heâd saved you from creating an awkward silence.
âyeah, yeah i know. very proud of him. iâll never complain about pain again.â you spoke through a dry laugh; one he mirrored, your lips pursing as you attempted to think of something, anything, to fix the mess you found you guys in.
to apologise for your rudeness? to explain your mindset? to just talk. you needed to talk to him, for your own sanity.
âlook i just wantedââ you finally built the courage up to speak, but were interrupted as a blonde woman slid next to landoâs side, handing him a drink while doing so.
it shouldnât have shut you up so quickly, but it did â eyebrows raising as you attempted to figure out how to respond to the image in front of you. one youâd never seen before actually.
âline was long,â the girl hummed in explanation, and you only just caught landoâs sorry eyes as his attention turned to the girl next to him.
he would be lying if he said he didnât appreciate the lifeline that was the blonde heâd just met 20 minutes ago. he did not need to hear your reasonings as to why you should just remain friends, not tonight.
âiâll um, iâll talk to you later.â there was no way youâd try get your words out again, not when you barely spoke up the first time. yet for some reason, youâd hoped lando had insisted you could speak now.
instead left to watch as he nodded and offered you a small smile; practically sending you off on your way.
embarrassment was the one word to describe how you felt as you made your way to the nearest booth, attempting to hide away and let the darkness swallow you whole.
apart of you felt you should be grateful, maybe being interrupted was a saving grace. god knows what you were about to say, you definitely didnât. but right now you found yourself in the same position as you were 5 minutes ago.
it felt selfish. lando had practically admitted to having feelings for you, thatâs what you gathered at least, and youâd been unaware for years.
youâd been slightly uncertain in your feelings for five days and you felt as if you were losing your mind. you had no right for an explanation really, but you needed something. attempting to decipher everything to do with the main man of mclaren was giving you a headache.
although your vision became a bit clearer as you sat and watched him interact with the girl whoâd placed the drink in his hands.
it suddenly made sense why you hadnât seen him like this before. his attention was always on you, his efforts and time focused towards you if you were in arms reach.
which you couldnât help but feel grateful for as you sat and watched your new personal hell.
you didnât want to label it as jealousy. because that would be ridiculous, but it was beginning to be hard to watch the way lando whispered in her ear and grinned widely as he earned a laugh or two from the girl.
were you mad at the sight or mad at your own reaction? you werenât sure. it felt wrong, to feel so strongly when only a few days ago youâd laughed in his face about the prospect of being with him.
what was it they said about you only want what you canât have?
âit should be illegal for you to be sitting here moping after iâve won.â carlosâ voice snapped you from your thoughts, being met with the driver who slid into the booth opposite you, a sheepish smile forming on your features.
âiâm not moping.â you huffed, leaning back in your seat â attempting to look and feel relaxed, allow your tense shoulders to loosen, glancing back to lando once more before your attention was on the driver ahead of you.
âyou have been all week.â carlos disagreed, eyebrow raising as you frowned; not having a reply because he was right. and suddenly you felt horrible.
âiâm sorryâ thatâs the last thing you need with the couple weeks youâve had,â you sighed, head falling into your hands. it was as if you suddenly couldnât do anything right.
you missed the way carlos smiled, having looked at the direct reason of your problems moments prior.
âdonât apologise.â carlos dismissed, assuring you it was fine; and when you peaked up through your hands, the smile he was flashing you was enough to put your mind at ease. âiâm assuming lando said something.â
there it was. lando. again. back in your head. as if you ever got him out.
you only sighed, head falling back this time as you now stared at the ceiling. of course carlos knew.
âyou knew?â you huffed out, it clear you already knew the answer.
âeveryone does.â carlos chuckled, and you wish you too could take amusement from the situation. how comforting, this whole time youâve either appeared as an idiot or the biggest bitch.
âwhy wouldnât you tell me?â you practically whined, looking back at the driver once more; watching as he put his hands up in defence and innocence.
âi thought you knew.â carlos claimed, sounding so honest you couldnât question him â nor blame him. you shouldnât have needed someone to spell it out for you. plus, youâre not sure what you wouldâve done if you did know.
because it wasnât like you were handling the current situation very well.
you had no answer, just left him to watch as you sat wallowing in self pity. you shouldâve never chased him to the bar.
âheâll be fine. look at him, moving on already,â carlos attempt to comfort you was more like a punch to the stomach â because you had to stop yourself from glaring at him. had to stop yourself from spitting out how that wasnât what you wanted.
you didnât want that at all, and that thought was suffocating. you were in no place to come to terms with your feelings, but right now they seemed to be demanding to make themselves known.
âi need air.â you huffed as you stood up, thankful that you had taken notice of the smokers exit not too far from you.
the crisp air felt like a soothing blanket, hitting your skin the moment you got outside. the balcony was empty and finally you felt as if you could breathe; allowing your arms to rest against the railing as the music became muffled and the sound of melbourneâs night life filled your ears.
it felt stupid, staring across the city skyline as if it would answer your questions. maybe the stars could align and write out a solution for you, tell you what to do.
but with every passing second you didnât find any clarity or idea on what to do, how to feel. you shouldnât want him. you havenât wanted him before. it isnât fair to suddenly feel so drawn to him after unknowingly rejecting him for so long.
but it was the reality. youâd been exposed to the idea of lando wanting you; and with every passing moment it became clear to you it wasnât weird. it sounded fucking incredible.
the music suddenly filled your ears again, moments later becoming muffled as you became aware someone had joined you outside. it wasnât till they spoke that you tensed up.
âitâs cold out here,â his voice was instantly recognisable, you didnât need to look at him to know it was him.
âtoo hot in there.â you hummed simply in reply, feeling his presence next to you as he joined you in observing the city skyline; although you could feel his eyes burning into the side of your head.
falling into a comfortable silence was the last thing you expected, both too scared to speak up and face the inevitable. if you could stay like this forever you would. it was the first few moments of peace youâd known all week.
âwe can pretend the other night never happened. i donât want things to be weird.â lando spoke, words so soft as if youâd break. as if he needed to be careful with you.
his whole demeanour had you frowning, turning to face him. he shouldnât be fixing this mess, nor prioritising your feelings over his. not when both of you had neglected his for so long.
you parted your lips to disagree, to tell him that was the last thing you wanted. you wanted to talk about it. itâs all you needed to do.
but quickly you realised that was contradicting your initial thoughts.
âif thatâs what you want,â you spoke through a breath; unable to understand how you still couldnât find the right thing to say when this very conversation has been the only thing on your mind all week.
it was landoâs turn to stay quiet, you watched as he thought through what to say; practically seeing his mind tick.
âi just want to know why itâs so ridiculous to you.â lando practically blurted the question out, as if he was almost afraid he wouldnât say it ever if he didnât now. itâd been weighing on his mind, it killed him that he had no explanation as to why you were so against the idea of him in anyway that branched further than platonic.
and while you wanted to give him an answer, you didnât have one.
âi donât know.â you answered truthfully. âi never looked at you that way lando iâŠâ you trailed off, eyes getting lost in his when you realised just how close he was. your admiration these past couple days from afar was one thing; but up close was a whole new ball park. âyou were like this little kid, i donât know,â you struggled to articulate your thoughts.
âyeah five years ago,â landoâs response was quick and blunt; even with the chuckle that escaped under his breath, it didnât lessen the intensity in his eyes that were now pouring into yours. it was as if heâd been wanting to say such thing for years. he was challenging you.
youâd gulped at his words, because he was right and youâd only come to terms with such thing these past few days.
âyeah.â you mumbled in agreement, suddenly feeling small under his gaze; it was all so new. youâd been in this position with lando countless of times, why did you suddenly feel as if every nerve inside of you was being set alight? why did you feel as if you couldnât dare look away from his eyes.
you could spot the moment lando realised the change in your behaviour, the way his eyes flickered across your face; his lips parting ever so slightly as he took a breath.
he recognised the look on your face, purely because itâs how he would always look at you.
âit fucking sucked you know? having to sit there while you laugh at the idea of spending the night with me. even just going on a date with me.â lando hummed, voice barely above the whisper because with the minimal distance he didnât need to speak any louder. although if he spoke any quieter youâd be worried you wouldnât hear him over the sound of your rapid heartbeat.
you didnât know what to say, head tilting aside ever so slightly as you watched him take a step closer; dangerously close now yet for some reason you found yourself leaning further towards his frame â and the moment you let your eyes flicker to his lips you knew you were done for.
âmâ sorry,â you mumbled; eyes pouring into his once more as if that would ensure he knew you meant it, but he didnât want nor need an apology. but god would he love an opportunity to change your mind.
it was as if you could act without thinking again the moment his hand cupped your cheek, lips pressed onto yours in a rush that had your hand moving to find a grip in his shirt.
you didnât know how to describe it, but suddenly everything made sense as your lips moved together in perfect sync.
the moment almost came crumbling down however when lando pulled away only a few moments later, heavy breaths as his hand remained on your cheek; eyes looking down at you as if you were gods greatest gift to earth.
but as much as this felt like heaven, lando knew he couldnât risk this just being a one time thing. he refused to get a taste of you just to be starved again.
âif you donâtââ lando barely got his words out, you had him read; could see the doubt beginning to creep in. as much as he hated being vulnerable it was almost self perseveration.
thankfully however you didnât give him much time to worry, shaking your head before tugging him closer to you â reconnecting your lips with such certainty lando had no room to fear or doubt you.
it was all he needed, the lid was off and he finally could act on his wants â hands moving to grip your waist as he trapped you between himself and the railing, lips moving against yours without a care in the world that anyone could walk out and see.
it was as if the kiss was the answer to all your questions, suddenly it all made sense. lando made sense; you felt stupid, how had you denied yourself of such thing for so long?
your hands were tangled in his hair, his were clutching your sides for dear life â large hands pawing at your waist then your hips, having to stop himself from getting too greedy and travelling any further.
so caught up in him you quickly realised you needed to breathe, pulling away momentarily; yet you had no time to recover as lando only busied himself with peppering kisses on your jaw.
naturally you tilted your head back, a sigh of content escaping you as you invited him to explore more of you. and lando was not going to ignore such thing, soft kisses now pressed to the skin of your neck.
suddenly you were incredibly aware of the closeness, the way his body was pressed against yours; the cold railing behind you doing little to cool your hot skin; his knee pressing between your thighs having your eyes fluttering shut.
heaven was the only way to describe it.
but really you were on the smokers balcony of a crowded melbourne club, a reality that hit the pair of you as the door swung open and laughter and chatter was suddenly heard.
your eyes flickered to the group who appeared, lando regrettably lifting his head and glancing over his shoulder. the group was unbothered by your presence, you werenât sure the pair of you were even noticed.
landoâs grip had tightened on your waist ever so slightly, as if you could slip away from him like the moment had.
âwe should get out of here,â you spoke through heavy breaths as your eyes met his, watching as his lit up with both relief and eagerness. he only nodded, taking a step backwards as his hands ran over his now crinkled shirt.
the pair of you may had gotten yourselves together in those few seconds, but as you worked your way through the crowded club towards the exit, it was quite clear what had occurred.
the elevator ride only caused swollen lips and messy hair, and you struggled to keep your hands off of him once in the back of a taxi â kissing him was addictive, thatâs the only thing you could think of right now.
the silence wasnât awkward as you stumbled into his hotel room; only the sounds of quiet laughter as he struggled to find his room key. small curses escaping his mouth as he failed to move in the urgency he was currently feeling.
it was messy the way you both discarded your shoes and belongings, a few words and mumbles exchanged before he was tugging you into his chest again â lips once more reconnected.
the space allowed you to wrap your arms around his neck this time, body practically melting into his hold. you wanted to apologise again, explain your thoughts over the last few days, how your change of heart had occurred.
you werenât even sure it was a change of heart; more so just now thinking about new possibilities.
but lando seemed to be the thing that could put those thoughts at bay, finally your mind was silent â all senses consumed with the man in front of you.
you werenât sure which wall heâd backed you against but you didnât care; welcoming the familiar feeling of his lips on your neck once more â taking the few seconds of your brain not being foggy to tug on the end of his shirt before trying to push it up his body.
he got the memo, ridding himself of his shirt and you could feel your breath get caught in your throat at the sight of his toned torso.
âwhat do you want?â landoâs question was matched with an intensity that almost had you squirming, his knee pushing between your thighs once more as you peered up at him.
you were suddenly lost for words, unsure how to vocalise what you wanted.
him. just him. anything he had to offer.
the feeling of his finger running up the side of your leg gave you plenty of ideas; but you were too flustered to articulate such thing.
the sight of you dumbfounded had him letting out a breathy chuckle, eyebrows raising in expectance â yet somehow it just had you squeezing your legs together.
âanything.â you mumbled, cheeks a tint of pink as he only smirked at your answer; you hadnât realised how desperate you sounded. you werenât sure youâve ever sounded so needy.
âgotta be more specific pretty,â his grin told you he was revelling in your flustered state. how could he not? his mind was running wild with plans to have you a needy mess all for him.
the term of endearment was new, a boundary that had never been crossed in your friendship; yet it sounded so natural. what wasnât natural was the way your heart seemed to flutter at the compliment.
âwant me to touch you?â lando was almost mocking you as his hand moved to push your hair back out of your face, cupping the side of your head while doing so to ensure your eyes stayed trained on him â and the mere act had you falling further into submission.
it was pathetic, you were somehow able to identify such thing â standing here with parted lips and wide eyes, having nodded at his words almost too eagerly. you needed to control yourself, at least for now; heâd barely touched you yet.
âwhat do you want?â your words were no where near as confident as his, but you werenât complaining; the confidence suited him, it only had you wanting him more.
you watched as his shoulders lifted in a slight shrug, attempting to keep your mind off his finger that was dangerously close to the hem of your skirt.
âwant to ruin you so youâll only ever think of me if another man touches you.â lando was honest with his answer, you hadnât expected such words to escape his mouth. such bluntness, what sounded like a promise had your knees feeling weak â the idea sounding perfect to you.
but he wasnât finished.
âwant you to cum on my fingers.â he added quietly, your legs spreading ever so slightly as his hand finally ventured under your skirt. âthen my tongue,â he practically chimed; head ducking down to your neck now, his hot breath fanning your skin.
thinking was only getting harder, his words were turning your mind into a puddle, much like the state of your undergarments.
âthen my cock.â he concluded before paying extra attention to the skin on your neck, kissing intently as you let out a shaky breath.
attempting to process such words from him was difficult, but you were quick to figure out it sounded incredible to you.
âhm?â his hum was a taunt, head lifting to look at you once more, watching as you nodded quickly.
âplease,â you practically whimpered, god youâd get on your knees and beg. lando almost groaned from the word leaving your lips alone, the way you were looking up at him with doe eyes had a grin forming on his face, one you mirrored for a brief moment.
the man couldnât believe his eyes, a sight heâd dream of too many times was in front of him in the flesh and he wanted nothing more but to make sure you too would never forget these moments.
his lips returning to yours almost had you failing to notice the way his hand slipped under your skirt, finding your soaked panties with ease. he groaned into your mouth as he realised how wet you were, your only reply a slight tug on his curls.
light and teasing touches were only tolerable for so long, you could deal with his fingers dancing around your clothed folds while his lips stayed on yours â but when he pulled away your breaths became irregular, clinging to every ounce of patience you had.
you were about to whine when his hand pushed your panties to the side, slipping a digit inside of you without warning was enough to have you choking out a moan â hand flying to grip his bicep to ensure your legs wouldnât give out on you.
lando was watching you as if you were gods gift to the earth, thumb settling on your clit naturally that within seconds of him getting to work your eyes were fluttering shut â head falling back against the wall.
âyouâre soaked baby,â his words were barely audible; too in awe of you, but you still managed to catch them as you nodded ever so slightly.
âfor you,â you breathed out â not that it needed clarifying, but the reassurance had the driver smirking proudly, even rewarding you as suddenly a second finger slipped inside of you.
for him. lando would never had thought that would ever be possible. if he wasnât so focused on getting you off heâd be replaying those words in his mind again, and again.
suddenly it was becoming hard to keep quiet, strings of moans and whimpers escaping you in succession, causing landoâs pants to feel incredibly tight. but that was the last thing on his mind, holding you against the wall with the only goal of having you come undone in his grasp.
his name sounded heavenly as you moaned it, so much so lando thought no one else should ever speak it again â nothing would compare to that.
âlook at me.â landoâs demand was so calm you almost missed it, eyes still fluttered shut as your thighs squeezed around his hand. despite hearing him you couldnât act, control of your body slipping away ever so quickly with the way his thumb was circling your sensitive bud.
landoâs breathy laugh wasnât enough to capture your attention either, his touch was all your mind could focus on. so it was when his free large hand trailed up your body to wrap around your neck that your eyes fluttered open.
his eyes were inquisitive, clearly attempting to gage a reaction to the action which had your lips parting despite having no pressure applied. however it was the way you clenched around his fingers that told him enough.
the slight squeeze of your neck was enough to draw a moan out of you, and lando could only hum in content. you were fucking perfect.
it was quickly becoming overwhelming, pleasure suddenly building so quickly â eyes pouring into his as you struggled to form words.
âclose,â was all you managed out; landoâs nod was in sync with his curled fingers â your nails digging into his skin as he brushed the spot that had your legs almost giving out.
you were holding onto him for dear life, moans growing louder and whinier as your vision started to become starry despite having your eyes open.
âlet go baby,â his words were enough to push you over the edge, releasing onto his fingers as you practically panted his name like it was a prayer.
lando had concluded a long time ago that he couldnât fall for you more than he already had; but as he watched you come undone, he realised heâd been wrong. your beauty truly knew no ends â and he was only now more eager to watch your face contort in pleasure again and again.
admiration filled your own eyes as they opened once more to peer up at him, flushed cheeks and a sheepish smile spreading on your face as you attempted to catch your breath.
âyouâre incredible,â lando couldnât stop the praise from escaping him, and watching the way your smile grew had him feeling no regret either; no shame like he usually would when a compliment perhaps too sentimental slipped passed his guard.
however this time it was reciprocated, you could see the meaning behind it â not dismissing it as a friendly comment, instead it had your already flushed cheeks reddening further.
âyou are.â you spoke like it was obvious, even letting out a small giggle â sounding somewhat out of breath but such thing was granted. your arms moved to wrap around his neck again, both to ensure he stayed close and because your only strength was in your arms.
your legs already felt like jelly.
heâd read the situation with ease, because suddenly his hands were hooked under your thighs â halting you up as your legs instinctively wrapped around his torso.
your skirt was bunched at your hips, ruined panties almost shameful. your hands spread out against his toned back, unable to help yourself from feeling as much of his flexed muscles as possible.
messy kisses were exchanged as he moved you through the hotel room, lips lazily moving against each other before your back was hitting his plush mattress.
the sight above you rendered you speechless, no shame in your eyes raking over his frame as he stood at the foot of the bed â you quickly felt overdressed.
your own hands found the hem of your shirt, peeling it off your body, no bra meaning your upper body was exposed to the brit.
you could visibly see him gulp, his eyes dancing over your half naked frame as he took a few deep breaths; tongue flicking over his bottom lip. the man even shook his head in disbelief, unable to help himself when you invitingly leant back on your elbows.
he was on top of you within moments, situating between your spread legs as his head found the exposed skin of your chest, open mouth kisses pressed to your neck, slowly making their way to your breasts.
âyouâre fucking beautiful.â heâd practically grumbled, your fingers finding his curls once more you could only whimper as his teeth tugged on your skin momentarily.
âwant to make you feel good,â you whispered, unable to ignore his hard on pressing into your hip â the feeling had you squirming, keen to feel more of him.
heâd shushed you however, not being derailed as his kisses moved to your stomach now, your head hitting the pillow as you tried to control your breathing â left to stare up at the ceiling momentarily.
âi feel amazing,â lando spoke matter of factly, his hands spreading over your thighs as he parted them to his liking â your eyes flickering down, not expecting to meet his blue ones.
he looked like he was ready to devour you, it made your core practically ache â offered no relief as your legs could only squeeze against his hold.
he was quick in removing your skirt, and your panties â having you bare for him before he was hooking your legs over his shoulders. but his urgency seemed to still there, kisses pressed to your inner thighs instead of your glistening cunt.
âlando,â youâd whined, using all your strength to ensure you could keep your eyes on him, a pretty sight that was rendering you impatient. âplease,â the plea left you in desperation.
you could still feel his breath on your thighs, not where you needed him, and when you heard him chuckle lowly your eyes had to press shut to keep your composure.
âoh baby,â he dragged out; cooing so sweetly your eyes narrowed when they met his again. âneedy little thing,â he commented; quirking an eyebrow your way and you couldnât argue, only pout.
he wasnât wrong, much to your surprise. youâd never found yourself in such position, needing and craving someone so badly. depending on someone else for pleasure was practically foreign.
ânot gonna make you beg,â lando ended your torture, if you could even call it that, mouth connecting with your cunt and your jaw dropped as his tongue quickly found your clit.
you were already sensitive, back arching immediately as you moaned out softly â hands flying to find his curls again.
pure ecstasy was the only way to describe the feeling, his tongue working so perfectly that you were fighting to not press your thighs against his head â body moving with every action, his hand moving to press down on your hips and keep you in place.
your eyes caught his own for a mere few moments, seeing him look up at you however had your own eyes rolling back; too sensitive to stay cool with the onslaught of pleasure.
he was everywhere, consuming every one of your senses â tugging on his curls your only outlet as you moaned and shook.
you werenât ever sure youâd be able to cum from head alone, but you were about to find out â pathetically close already, stomach tightening having barely recovered from your first orgasm.
you forced yourself to gaze down at him again, wanting to see his head between your thighs â watch the way his arms flexed as he held you in place with ease.
his tongue was flicking between your folds, then paying attention to your clit; never missing a beat, it flood over you suddenly.
you could no longer hear the sounds you were making as you came again, back arching off the bed once more â seeing stars, lando sure to catch the sight as you came undone for him again.
it was a blur the next few moments, not present as lando shifted your legs off of his shoulders and back onto his knees, but once you realised the sight in front of you it didnât take long for you to push yourself up the bed so you were sitting up.
âyou good?â landoâs voice was soft now, ensuring you were okay; not oblivious to your tired body. you nodded however, a lazy smile spreading on your lips in reassurance, hooded eyes taking him all in. you just wanted to feel all of him.
âperfect,â you breathed, leaning forward to connect your lips without another word. it was greedy, a few moments of no contact and you were drawn to him again. you just wanted more and more, and the way landoâs hands flied to your waist showed it was truly reciprocated.
you pushed him slightly to sit down, switching positions so he was resting against the headboard now â it didnât take much force, he was letting you guide him, hands delicately roaming your fatigued frame.
climbing into his lap your hands made quick work of his pants, unzipping them and moving all material out of the way to finally free his hardened cock.
lando moaned into your mouth the moment your hand wrapped around his length, pumping a few times was the relief heâd been ignoring since you entered the hotel room.
he struggled to kiss back for a mere moment, causing your eyes to flutter open, lips curving upwards at the sight of his face contorted in pleasure.
fuck you could get used to that image.
âcome on baby,â lando rasped out as his hands found a home on your hips â guiding them upwards ever so slightly. âfuck yourself on my cock yeah?â there was a slight smugness in his tone; the type that had you falling into submission once more, despite him vocalising your plans.
your arms moved to hold onto his shoulders, enough to help steady you as you guided your hips on top of his, lowering yourself down onto his cock.
the pair of you gasped in sync, your forehead resting against his as you took him all in at once, jaw going slack from the stretch.
you stilled, needing time to adjust to his size â and lando had no complaints, the feeling of you wrapped around him having him content.
âyou feel fucking incredible,â the driver rasped, lips brushing against yours as he spoke; and you could only whimper at first, a few deep breaths escaping you.
âso big,â you mumbled; having to swallow intently before mustering the energy to begin moving â eyes pouring into his as you began to ride him.
the closeness and intimacy would usually scare you; heck, it would normally terrify him. yet somehow it felt right, as if this wasnât the first time between the pair of you.
your nails dug into his skin once more as you shifted up and down, landoâs hands only on your skin to ensure he had a hold on you â letting you set the pace as he watched, jaw tense and eyes adoring.
âfuck lando,â you whined when heâd bottom out once more, hitting a spot so deep inside of you that your toes were curling â the sound of his own grunts and moans only adding to the pleasure.
âdoing so good for me gorgeous,â his praise only encouraged you, words so delicate. you sped up as much as you could, not too fast but with more urgency than before; as much as your sore body would allow.
it wasnât long before you started to tire, your moans grew whinier but you didnât need to say anything â a choked moan escaping your throat when his hips suddenly thrusted up to meet your movements.
you hadnât thought you could feel more full but you were wrong, and lando didnât relent as he started fucking up into you.
you were like a doll in his hands, as he started to practically move you up and down his cock; his own hips continuing to thrust up you couldnât keep up, eyes screwing shut as your mouth fell agape.
âfuck lando fuck,â you were practically chanting; a string of curses and his name; it all felt too good. fucking perfect, you couldnât comprehend any of it.
âtake it baby.â he grunted, and you nodded so quickly as if youâd ever disappoint him, fingers reaching to his back and nails dragging across the skin â his thrusts harsh, not slow but not too quick that you wouldnât have time to feel every inch of him.
your head was thrown back, exposing your bare chest further to him â which lando made the most of for the time being, lips ducking down and attaching to one of your nipples for a few moments.
but as your sounds got louder he needed to be able to see your face clearly, hand moving up your back and tangling in your hair to force you to look at him.
âopen your eyes princess,â he practically demanded, and at this point youâd do anything he said without question; eyes fluttering open to look at him.
his stamina was impressive, not surprising, still bouncing you on his cock as if it was nothing â but the way his breaths got shaky and his hooded eyes revealed he was feeling the pleasure like you were.
âwhoâs making you feel this good?â landoâs question escaped him without much thought; he just needed to hear you say it. wanted to revel in the fact he had you in such a state. your praise and reassurance held such a high value to him.
âyou, lando, you,â you whined out in response â and you felt his hand move back to your hip, needing to use your own strength now to keep your head upright. âfeels so good,â you told him â squeezing him as you did so.
heâd groaned at the feeling, almost having cum on the spot; thankfully he didnât, because he needed to see you fall apart one more time.
âwant to cum again yeah? that you want?â his mouth seemed to know no ends, the taunting only making your stomach grow tighter as you nodded to the best of your ability.
his breaths were heavy now, hands travelling to your ass as he used that as his grip of your body instead.
âwanna hear you say it,â lando grumbled â head ducking into the exposed skin of your neck, more kisses pressed onto your skin and the thought of marks being there from the amount of attention heâd paid to it was the last thing on either of your minds.
you were struggling now, too fucked out to process his words as quickly as heâd like â so much so a harsher thrust upwards had you aware you needed to answer him, yet you already forgot what he said.
âtoo fucked out to form words baby?â lando teased now that he knew he had your attention; and he chuckled once more when you shook your head quickly. âwant to hear you say it.â he repeated, eyes piercing yours.
âwannaâ cum again,â your words were laced with desperation, needing to take a breath between sentences as his cock spread you open. âplease let me cum,â
the british driverâs hum of satisfaction turned into a moan of pleasure at your plea, sounding and looking so pretty for him, it was clear youâd done enough as you felt his hand snake down between your bodies to your clit.
your vision went white practically immediately, almost yelping from how sensitive you were; thrown over the edge with little warm as you came on his dick â practically screaming his name as you did so.
lando came inside you merely a few seconds later, jaw slack from the sight of you and the way your walls squeezed him once more â only now was his thrusts sloppy as you both rode out your highs.
you were practically limp in his lap, forehead pressed against his shoulder as his own head rested against the headboard; heavy and irregular breaths filling the silence.
his hand moved to your head, fingers running through the strands of your hair comfortingly, the action causing you to hum in appreciation.
both of you were content with the silence, purely because neither of you knew exactly what to say. what to do. this was unexpected, to say the least.
you sat up straight after a couple minutes however, eyes meeting his ones; noticing the lack of intensity and confidence they held prior.
he was studying you as well, attempting to not spiral into a âwhat now.â
this meant a lot to him, he wouldnât put that on you â that wouldnât be fair. but you already had a good idea.
âi was wrong.â you finally managed to say what had been on the tip of your tongue, offering a small smile as his eyebrows raised in question.
he didnât fully understand.
âabout this. us. not making sense. being ridiculous.â you clarified, and the realisation washed over his features. you could feel him tense up slightly beneath you â shaking his head quickly.
âwe donât have to talk about it right now,â he assured in certainty. he didnât want you to feel obligated to protect his feelings because you slept together.
which you appreciated, it was cute. he was thoughtful â which shouldnât be a surprise.
âiâm not promising anything,â you clarified, dismissing him this time; you didnât feel obligated at all. you werenât saying youâd be his girlfriend and expected flowers when you woke up, but you needed him to know you no longer stood by what you said. you were also relieved to be able to articulate your thoughts. âbut i was wrong.â you hummed.
a lazy smile spread on his features at that, acting like a catalyst for your own. a mumble of an okay and laughter was exchanged, before his lips were on yours again; a gentle kiss this time.
one you could certainly get used too.

Tobyâs First Time Giving/Receiving a Blowjob HeadcanonsÂ
Ticci Toby x Gender Neutral ReaderÂ
A/N: I know you probably meant Toby giving a blowjob for the first time but I wrote both because i can. enjoy the double feature
Genre: Smut headcanonsÂ
Content/Warnings: Oral sex (obviously), Toby likes praise, face fucking, Toby gets a bit rough in his excitement but he doesnât mean it, heâs just a feral, excitable horndog, scenarios for both AFAB and AMAB readers are included, use of dick, cock and cunt to describe genitalia
Like my writing? I take requests! NSFW or SFW for any fandoms in my bio (request rules + masterlist in pinned post)!
Also, please reblog! itâs free, takes two seconds, and really helps me outÂ
Feedback is encouraged and appreciated:)
Not fully proofread! Let me know if you see any errors!
GivingÂ
Oooohhh boy okay, listenÂ
Heâs not exactly experiencedÂ
Most of the people he went to high school with were incredibly put off by him and the like two who werenât never went past making outÂ
He has no idea what heâs doing, youâll have to teach himÂ
The good news? Heâs very eager to learnÂ
If you have a dick heâll try to deepthroat it IMMEDIATELY, regardless of the fact that heâll choke like a fucking idiot, and youâll have to practically yank him off of youÂ
If you have a cunt heâll do the same thing except latching on way too fast and way too rough in a clumsy but genuine effort to pleasure you
Just hold tightly to his hair to keep him from ducking back down and gently instruct him to start slowÂ
Youâll have to be very detailed with your instructions, and he has no shame, so expect a lot of really specific questionsÂ
âShould I-I keep flicking your clit with my tongue like th-that?âÂ
âDo you like w-when I circle your tip l-like that?âÂ
Etc, etc
And heâll say it with 100% sincerity, because he really does want you to enjoy this
It takes him a minute to get the hang of it, but once he gets his rhythm he wonât stop until youâre begging him toÂ
Itâs fun for him to watch you squirm and moan, it brings him just as much pleasure as it does youÂ
You can encourage him to keep going by scratching his head, running your fingers through his hair, and giving a little tug when he does something you particularly enjoy
Speaking of which, he responds very well to verbal feedback (re: praise)Â
You can see his eyes light up when you call him a good boy or tell him heâs doing wellÂ
And heâs willing to do whatever it takes to get him praise
Basically, heâs easy to train
Just keep telling him how well heâs doing, and be clear about what you enjoyÂ
Heâs more than happy to complyÂ
Plus, itâs kinda hot to watch the drool and cum leak from the gash in his cheek as he eagerly laps up everything he can get from you
ReceivingÂ
Well your first challenge will be getting him to sit still
Heâs a hyperactive bastard and his excitement will manifest as restlessnessÂ
Itâs best to have him lying on his back to reduce the risk of possible injury, but he will still shake his legs and fidget with his sleeves as he watches you position yourself between his legs
Heâll try not to touch you at first because heâs not really sure whatâs acceptable or not, instead opting to fumble with his fingers and gnaw on his knucklesÂ
Heâll be breathing heavily and mumbling to himself the whole time, before youâve even gotten his cock outÂ
âI-I canât believe youâre doing this for-for meâŠY-Youâre so nice to m-meâŠI-I donâtâfuck!âI donât k-know what Iâd do with-without youâŠâ
And heâll go on and on like that until youâve sucked him so good he canât talkÂ
Heâll forget his manners the closer he gets to cumming
Heâll get more and more needy and heâll start to grab at your hairÂ
Unless you stop him, heâll get rougher and rougher until heâs practically fucking your mouth, pulling and pushing your head back and forth by your hair and thrusting into your mouthÂ
Heâll have drool running down his chin and he wonât be able to keep his mouth shut, just completely desperate and messy
The best part is the way heâll shamelessly beg to cum down your throatÂ
âPleeeaaase, please, please, fuckâ! I-Itâs all I want, just let meâlet me cum in your m-mouth, I need it! I-Iâve been a g-good boy, havenât I?!â
If you donât say yes heâll literally cryÂ
But if you do, the absolute euphoria thatâll cross his face is more than worth itÂ
Heâll force you down on his cock as he releases down your throat, his back arching in an almost violent manner as he forces you to take everything he has to give
And he wonât let go until heâs completely doneÂ
When youâre finally released from his death grip itâll be because heâs gone limp, completely spent and barely consciousÂ
Give him a quick kiss before you go to clean up, heâll lick your lips clean for youÂ
Heâll be riding that high for hoursÂ

DP x DC prompt [3]
during one of the final psych evals at Arkham right before he gets to be released, the whole thing wrapped up so tidy, just a little relapse which involved a robbery. Getting sent back to Arkham, but he got to stay at the asylum so long that he no longer has to serve a prison sentence, score!
But during that eval his overseeing psychiatrist recommended him to have a change of scenery, some fresh non polluted air.
Riddler was rather convinced the guy was making this recommendation to everyone in Arkham in their own weird way to convince them to just leave Gotham and become someone else's problem. should he notify Batman about it somehow? nah, itâll be more interesting to see how this is gonna turn out in the long run.
But can he leave the state? Can he even leave the city? he never really bothered to look into it, at least not legally, up until now if he felt he needed to leave for one of his plans he just did it.
Turns out he can, itâs a whole hassle and a half though, first a judge and then a probation officer and heâs pretty sure both were like âwhat the hell is this psychiatrist guy thinking!?â but at the same time, shrink probably knows what heâs doing (WRONG) so heâs allowed to go visit out of state family or whatever.
he had to wear this nice ankle monitor though, Wayne Enterprisesâą tech, not overly bulky but still very present. real fancy, and a fun extra challenge heh.
now as for a good reason to leave New Jersey heâs going to need distant relatives, and he finds some, great grandpa walker also has a son, who had a son who had a daughter Madeline, who married some guy Jack Fenton, and she lives somewhere out in the boonies Illinois. great heâll visit her.
far enough away in all sense of the word that there is no way she knows anything about him. it would be best to call her first though, be polite about it.
âhello, you have reached Fenton works, this is Maddie speakingâÂ
âRiddle me this-â ah whoops, habit, oh whatever, âwe donât share parents, but certainly a part of your life, from laughter to strife. Who am I?â
there is a pause âŠÂ heâs going to be a bit disappointed if she hangs up if heâs honest.
âcousins~â comes the cheery reply.
âcorrect! the name is Edward Nygma, we are distantly related you and I and well-â
âoh you simply must come visit!âÂ
well this was rather easy, perhaps a little too easy, but she lives in the midwest so maybe just going with whatever some guy says over the phone is normal there? stranger danger not really a thing in a small town where everyone knows everyone?
things start to make a little more sense once he gets there and heâs starting to think some things might run in the family. like a preference for the colour green and weird hyperfixations and genius bordering on insanity. Though that remains to be seen, Jack does not seem like a very bright light after his very enthusiastic welcome.
their kids however are observant and sharp. young Jasmine is wasting no time trying to psychoanalyze him. and the boy, Danny, he had not really meant to and he swears heâs sticking with calling the kid Danny so he wouldnât seem overly familiar, but he might have called him little bird a couple times now.
but thatâs all whatever, heâs playing nice here. and he doesnât even have to worry about his eccentricities tripping him up because this place is insane.
There actually is a local teen vigilante active but he seems about as loved as heâs disliked. and the ghost boyâs enemies are basically all his own kind, which another crazy thing to now know about. ghost. they are real actually, how is Gotham not completely overrun? and how do they even work? and where do they keep coming from?
Edward might be getting a little sidetracked here. He had fully intended to sneakily get his next big game plan underway all the way out here, ankle monitor be damned. but he hasnât made any progress at all.
Instead heâs been listening to Madeline and Jack to maybe figure out what the deal is with these ectoplasmic entities, he has to know, at this point he might go crazier if he doesnât.Â
Heâs making Jasmine promise him not to get her doctorate in Gotham, heâs going back and forth with space riddles with Danny.
so yeah the whole thing kinda just became a vacation, maybe the psychiatrist had the right idea after all? hmm nah, probably not. but this is fun. Heâs thinking about recommending this place to some of the others.
It's different enough to get the vacation feel, but enough crazy shit happens to make it all feel like home.
it is not until Maddie wants to talk with him about potentially switching the position of godfather of Danny to him rather than some weird rich friend of theirs that Edward realizes he might have lost the plot somewhere
Apparently the little bird basically begged them with a powerpoint presentation on how he likes Edward so much more than that Vladimir guy.Â
And honestly, the fellow sounds like a Dracula Lutho so even if itâs kinda sad Edward can understand why heâd be considered a better option. Even if the guy has more money and a huge company that makes him said money. And itâs not like the Fentons know about his Riddler activities.
Thinking it over, Edward does think that Danny would like Gotham and Wayne has that space program thing right? The kid is definitely smart enough for that (Nygma certified), and yeah Edward does quite like their space themed back and forth. So, fuck it, why not, what is the worst that could happen?
He doubts Maddie and Jack are gonna kick it any time soon anyway out here in the boonies, itâs just a title thing, a stamp of approval or something.
he should have known he was going to eat those words later⊠he had this whole beautifully elaborate trap set up for the whole Batclan, and he was just getting to the good part when his phone went off.
Had to put the whole thing on pause cause that particular contact wasnât gonna get ignored. He did promise to be available.
If the whole thing he had planned now went tits up he could at the very least laugh later at the reactions of the bats as he told them to âhold up one second, I have to take this.â while they were all in various perilous positions.Â
Sadly he did have to go, he had a very distressed godson to pick up.
#dc x dp#danny phantom#dcxdp#dpxdc#danny fenton#The Riddler#jasmine fenton#madeline fenton#jack fenton#edward nygma#Story idea#it took me annoyingly long to figure out how to add a read more line btw#I was going to add some other things as well but I didn't want it to get super long#I imagine Vlad was absolutely furious about losing his godfather status#but our boy Eddie just runs circles around him and humiliates him every step of the way#there is only one vampire themed guy that can put the Riddler in his place and you ain't it chief#also I was planning on adding a thing where Edward ends up in the ghost zone somehow#which makes his ankle monitor go off#notifying the bats#because he either somehow managed to destroy the thing in an instant without making any of the build in warnings go off#or he's no longer on the planet

How to get past the fear of OC posting
People should create for the sake of creating but people post to engage with the community. However, posting can be intimidating and anxiety-inducing for a lot of people. Itâs easy to say âdo it scaredâ but much harder to put into practice. So, Iâve put together a few steps that lead up to doing it scared. These wonât work for everyone and this is meant more as general advice.
Step One: Why are you scared?
The first step is to figure out what about posting is scary for you. Oftentimes, itâs not as simple as âwhat if my post flopsâ or âwhat if people think Iâm cringeâ. Once youâve figured out the surface-level reason, dig a little deeper. If your post flops, does that lead to you doubting the worth of what youâre creating? If youâre worried about what people think, is that because youâve experienced judgement before or are worried your inbox will be flooded with criticism?
Identifying why youâre scared will not only help you understand yourself better (yippee!) but you can also then work on the source of your fears and anxieties at your own pace.
Step Two: Find ways to lessen your fears
One way of working through anxiety online is to find ways to mitigate the specific source of your fear.
Some fears have easier solutions than others. If youâre worried about people criticising your work, you can turn off anonymous asks (as most people are less likely to be haters when thereâs a name attached to it) or turn asks off entirely, as well as limiting replies to those who have been following for a week. This way, if someone does want to be an unpleasant individual, itâs a little harder for them to do so.
A lack of engagement is a little harder to remedy. Here, the only real solution is to try and divorce the idea that engagement = worth. Remember why youâre creating an OC. Because itâs fun! Itâs an act of creation! Because you want to find a communityâŠ? A community or OC friends will never just drop into your lap. You need to seek them out yourself. Look into discord servers, forums, tumblr networks (are they still a thing?), fandom events and exchanges, and most importantly: go out of your way to send asks/questions to others and build friendships with them! If youâve got social anxiety like me, this is going to be a big challenge. Which leads to the next stepâŠ
Step Three: Start small
It doesnât matter how small your first step is - so long as that step is forwards! If youâre nervous about OC posting, find the smallest thing about them and post it with the expectation of getting no notes. Thatâs right, I want you to go in and expect it to flop. Anything over one note is an automatic win. This first post isnât about engagement - itâs about getting over the initial fear of posting.Â
It can be tempting to just go right out the gate with elaborate explanations of backstory, lore implications, power levels, everything. But the trick really is to start small. Most people scrolling tumblr arenât going to read a few thousand words on something theyâre not invested in yet. TL;DR is a curse that Iâm sure weâve all fallen victim to.Â
Instead, break up information about your OC into small pieces that can be posted one by one and have some kind of visual piece with it. People are usually more drawn to images than text. For example, which of these two things are more visually interesting?
What Perseus keeps in his bag:
Amulet
Tinderbox
A broken blade
50ft of hempen rope
25gp of silver powder
Waterskin
Rations (cheese, bread, sausage)
OR
Obviously this comes down to personal preference but a lot of people would find the illustrated version to be more interesting. You donât need to be an artist to do this either! You could make a version of that example in photoshop or a similar program. Picrews, moodboards, edits, game screenshots and photography can all be used to add a visual element to your posts.
Step Four: Why am I still scared?
Fear is not easily stamped out. Anxiety is definitely the kind of thing that lingers. These steps arenât meant to immediately make OC posting not-scary. Thatâs something that will only come with time as you get used to it. Again: Do it. Do it scared. Gradually, itâll be less terrifying and in the meantime, you might be able to make a few friends who also want to talk about your blorbo.

I just read age is just a number and I loved it! I would love to see more with them as y/n meets Lukeâs parents and friends and the anxiety that can come with that.
Also seeing y/n in the wag life as she seemed to not know they were NHL players!
â€ïž
Age Is Just a Number⊠Right? - Part 2.
Summary: Luke Hughes, 6 years younger, seems like the perfect matchâeffortless and sweet. But when the reality of family, friends, and public attention creeps in, the simplicity starts to fade, and things get more complicated than expected. Welcome to Part 2 of Age Is Just a Number...Right? Warnings: Implied sexual situations, age gap (6 years), online harassment, bullying Note: Hey Lovelies! So hereâs Part 2, and Iâm so excited you asked for it! Thank you for requesting! Honestly, writing this was a total blast. This oneâs a bit different thoughâit dives deeper into the challenges of the age gap and all the NHL pressure. Itâs definitely not all smooth sailing, but I hope you still enjoy the drama!
Also, I swear I wanted to keep it short... and somehow ended up with 20,056 words. I just canât do short, can I? đ
For more fun: masterlistâ€ïž
Six months. Itâs almost impossible to believe how quickly time has passed since you first stumbled into Lukeâs kitchen, skeptical, unsure of what would come next. Now, here you areâhalf a year into a relationship with him, and yet, some days, you still can't believe it's real.
Luke is perfect. Maybe too perfect, sometimes. Heâs mature beyond his years, grounded in a way youâve always admired but feared was too good to be true. When you first met, that six-year age gap felt like a huge mountain between youâsomething that might trip you up before you even got started. You worried there would be moments when he'd act too young, too impulsive, and you'd find yourself questioning whether you had made a mistake or whether he was ready for something serious.
But Luke? Heâs proven you wrong over and over again.
His calmness, his commitment, and his quiet strengthâit all made you realize that maybe age really is just a number. With him, youâve never felt rushed, never pressured. Itâs like he understands the pace you need to move at. Heâs steady and unwavering, always ready to meet you where you are, to take it one step at a time. And thatâs exactly what you needed. You werenât ready to dive headfirst into something this serious until you knew it was real.
So youâve taken things slow. Six months in, youâre still navigating the early stages of your relationship. You havenât met his parents yet. You havenât gone to one of his gamesâthough youâd love to, just to see him in that element, doing what he loves. But youâve both agreed that when those things happen, when you step into those parts of his world, it will be because youâre both sure of what you have. Youâre building something strong and lasting.
And it hasnât been all easy. Thereâs Jack, of course. He found out about you and Luke pretty much the moment you tried to sneak out after your first date. The cat was out of the bag before you even had a chance to process it. And naturally, that meant Quinn knew too, because Jack was worse than a tabloid. That boy couldnât keep a secret if his life depended on it. Though you only saw Quinn a handful of timesâmostly through FaceTime when you would pop into the background of Lukeâs callsâyou could always feel his eyes on you, sizing you up, assessing whether you were really what Luke needed.
You never blamed Quinn. You understood the brotherly protectiveness. It was clear from the start that Luke meant a lot to him, and anyone who stepped into his life had to be worth it. But still, you felt that unspoken judgment. That quiet skepticism that weighed on you, even if it was never voiced aloud. Jack reassured you, though. "Heâs just protective," heâd say with a grin. "Heâll warm up to you. Trust me." And sure enough, as the months passed, the tension started to melt away.
It took five months before Quinn finally invited you to dinner. Just a simple gatheringâLuke, Jack, you, and Quinnâwhile Quinn was in the city playing with the Rangers. At first, you werenât sure how it would go. You knew it wasnât just a dinner; it was a test. A chance for Quinn to see if what you and Luke shared was the real thing.
The moment you sat down at the table, you felt it: Quinn was watching you. Not like Jack did, with his easy humor and teasing grin, but in that calculating, watchful way that only a protective older brother could. You could almost feel his doubts lingering in the air. Was this just a phase for Luke? Something fleeting? Or was it something real?
You didnât take it personally. It was hard, but you understood. You knew what came with being in Lukeâs life. Youâd heard enough stories from Jack and Luke to understand the whirlwind of the NHL lifestyleâthe crazy girlfriends, the fleeting connections, the messiness. But you were different. You werenât here for the money, the fame, or the excitement of it all. You saw Luke for who he really wasâthe person, the man he was becoming. You knew it wouldnât be easy, but you were willing to take it slow, to fight for something real.
You held your ground during that dinner. You laughed, you talked, and despite the nerves, you found yourself connecting with Quinn more than you expected. Before long, you were exchanging book recommendations and recipes with him, finding that you shared more in common than you thought. For a moment, the tension eased. You realized you werenât just some outsider in their world. You were part of it, in your own way.
By the end of the night, Quinn wasnât just the overprotective older brother anymore. He was someone you could see yourself getting along with, someone you could trust. And he realized it too. What you had with Luke was more than just a passing fling. It was real.
As you looked across the table at Luke during that dinner, his smile so full of pride and warmth, you knew the slow burn of the past months had been worth it. Every carefully measured step, every moment of uncertainty had led to this. The connection you were building with Luke was undeniable, and you were ready for what came next.
With him. For the long haul.
â
The apartment is quiet, save for the soft rustle of pages turning.
Youâre curled up on one end of the couch, a book in your hands. At least, it looks like youâre reading, but not a single word has registered in the last fifteen minutes. Across from you, Quinn is stretched out in the armchair, legs casually crossed at the ankle, his own book open in his lap. Heâs in town for a gameâthe Canucks played the Devils last nightâbut instead of heading straight home for the short break in the season, he decided to stay an extra night. It made sense, with the Michigan trip tomorrow. The four of youâQuinn, Luke, Jack, and youâwould be flying out together to celebrate Ellenâs birthday. And since he doesnât get to see his brothers often, heâs crashing at the apartment for the night.
Unlike you, Quinn actually seems to be reading, his face neutral, focused, like heâs in his own world. Meanwhile, youâre pretty sure youâve bounced your knee up and down at least twenty times in the last half hour.
Quinn doesnât even look up when he says, âYouâre fidgeting.â
You blink, caught off guard. âWhat?â
He finally glances at you, raising an eyebrow. âYou keep moving. And youâve been staring at the same page for about ten minutes now.â
You sigh, closing your book with a little more force than necessary. âDidnât realize you were keeping track.â
Quinn shrugs without breaking his gaze from the page. âHard not to when youâre sighing like someone just called you for a penalty in overtime.â
You canât help but laugh softly, but it doesnât last long. Instead, you stare down at your book again, running your fingers over the creased edges. âIâm just⊠nervous about tomorrow.â
Quinn doesnât react immediately, but you can tell heâs listening.
You take a deep breath and exhale slowly. âMeeting Ellen and Jim, the whole Michigan trip. Lukeâs friends. Itâs a lot.â
âThey already know about you,â Quinn points out. âJack made sure of that.â
You roll your eyes, dragging a hand over your face. "Yeah, because Jack never shuts up. Honestly, I'm surprised it took him seven months to blurt it out on FaceTime."
Quinn chuckles, the sound soft and amused. âYeah, heâs not exactly the type to keep things to himself.â
You smile faintly but shake your head. Jack could be annoying as hell sometimes, but you'd grown to appreciate his cheeky styleâthough youâd never let him know that. Giving him the satisfaction would only make him worse.
"Still," you continue, "knowing about me is different from actually meeting me. I donât know... I guess I just feel like I have to prove myself. Like, I need to show your parents Iâm good enough for Luke."
At that, Quinn tilts his head, his expression softening with something you didnât expectâunderstanding.
âI get that,â he says quietly.
You glance at him, surprised. âYou do?â
You blink, taken aback. Quinn always came across as confident, wiseâsometimes quiet, but never unsure.
Youâre about to ask him to elaborate when he continues, his voice slower now, more reflective.
"Jackâs always been the effortless one, you know?" he starts, a hint of admiration in his voice. "He walks into a room, and people are just drawn to himâlike itâs second nature. That charm, that ease⊠heâs always had it."
Thereâs no bitterness in his voiceâjust truth. And you get it. Even though Jack can be a lot at times, Quinnâs right. Heâs got that natural charm that makes it impossible not to like him, even when heâs being the most annoying person on the planet.
âAnd LukeâŠâ Quinnâs voice falters for a second, but he recovers quickly."Lukeâs a phenomenal playerâand the kindest person youâll ever meet. I can still hear Dad saying, âLook at him, Quinn. Heâs only eight, and heâs already better than you were at that age.â"
You frown, your heart tightening slightly, but Quinn keeps going, his words surprisingly soft.
"I had to work my ass off just to keep up," he admits, his gaze dropping to his lap. "Growing up with brothers like mine... it was impossible not to notice the difference. Jack walks into a room, and people light upâhe doesnât even have to try. Luke picks up a stick, and itâs like the game was made for him. They were special. Everyone saw it. Everyone told them. And me? I was good, but never in the way they were. Never effortless. Never undeniableâŠSo I pushed myself. Skated longer, trained harder, did everything I could to close the gap. Because if I wasnât a prodigy like Luke or magnetic like Jack, I had to be something. I had to earn my place. Prove I belonged. Not just to everyone else, but to myself."
A tightness settles in your chest as his words sink in, striking a little too close to home. You loved being with Lukeâhe was the best thing that had ever happened to you. But sometimes, the weight of not feeling special enough to be with him was suffocating.
âItâs easy to get caught up in that,â Quinn adds, looking at you now. âThinking you have to earn your place, like if you donât, people will start to see you for what you âreallyâ areânot enough.â He gives you a sharp look, and his voice drops a little, more serious. âItâs good to have that drive in sports, but if you start believing you only deserve love and kindness if you prove it every day, itâll eat you alive.â
Your throat tightens as you meet his eyes. Thereâs something in Quinnâs expression that feels like heâs not just talking about youâbut about himself, too.
âBut itâs bullshit,â Quinn continues, the gentleness in his tone surprising you. âPeople who matter will love you for who you are. You donât have to prove yourself. Not to Luke, not to anyone. If they donât see you for what youâre worthâwhat you bring to the tableâitâs their loss.â
You let his words sink in, the knot in your stomach loosening just a little. You want to believe him.
But before you can say anything, the front door swings open with the usual creak, and Jackâs voice fills the apartment.
The familiar sound of Jack and Luke bickering fills the apartment. You steal a quick glance at Quinn, trying to pack everything you feel into one look. You want to thank him for opening up, for comforting you. You want to say something that might ease whateverâs been weighing on him tooâtell him youâre sorry he had to go through all of that, and that if he ever needs someone to talk to, youâll listen.
Quinn meets your gaze, and for a moment, he just nods, a small but genuine smile crossing his faceâone that says more than words ever could. Then, without a word, he turns back to his book, flipping the page as if nothing happened..Â
âDude, you definitely ate half of my roll!â Jack complains, his voice sharp with outrage as he and Luke walk in.
âI didnât eat half your roll,â Luke counters, rolling his eyes as he kicks the door shut behind him. âI paid for the sushi, Jack. That means I can eat whatever I want.â
Jack huffs dramatically, holding up the takeout bags as if theyâre the most precious thing in the world. âYou hear that, Quinn? Our baby brother is robbing me blind. Iâm practically starving over here.â
Quinn, still curled up in the armchair, doesnât even glance up from his book. âSounds like a you problem.â
Luke grins, completely unfazed by Jackâs theatrics. âYeah, because that makes total sense. Iâm here plotting to steal all of your sushi.â
Jack dramatically sighs, but thereâs a grin tugging at his lips despite his best efforts. âWhatever, dude. You owe me a roll. Just keep track of it.â
Luke shrugs, tossing the sushi bags onto the counter as if itâs all water under the bridge. âIâll pay you back next time. Maybe.â
With that, Luke crosses the room and heads straight for the couch where you're sitting. You glance up just as he sits down next to you, his body naturally leaning into yours. Before you can even process it, his lips brush softly against your temple, the gentle touch making your heart skip a beat.
âMiss me?â Luke asks, his voice light, teasing, but thereâs something warm behind his words.
You smile, leaning into him slightly. âYou were gone for like five minutes.â
Luke gasps, pretending to be hurt. âFive minutes is a lifetime! You shouldâve missed me way more.â
You laugh, nudging him with your elbow. âYouâre so dramatic.â
âMaybe. But Iâm dramatic because I love you,â he says, his voice turning soft as he tucks a loose strand of your hair behind your ear. âIâll never apologize for that.â
You feel your heart soften, the quiet between you settling in. Itâs easy with Luke. Too easy, like youâve always been meant to share moments like this.
Meanwhile, Quinn is still immersed in his book, but you can hear the soft chuckle in his voice when he finally looks up. âYou two are ridiculous.â
Luke grins, glancing over at him with a playful spark in his eyes. âIâm sorry, Captain. Did we interrupt your important reading time?â
Quinn rolls his eyes, but thereâs a smile tugging at his lips. âYouâre lucky I have important things to do.â
Luke nudges you gently. âGuess weâll leave you to your important work then.â
Just as youâre about to respond, the bathroom door flies open, and Jack steps in, fixing Luke with a sharp look. "I swear, you took half my roll, but Iâll let it goâjust so you can appreciate what an amazing brother I am."
Luke doesnât miss a beat, rolling his eyes. âYeah, thanks for your endless generosity, Jack.â
Jack shakes his head,âYouâre impossible. But whatever, Iâll live.â He glances at Quinn. âYou guys hungry?â
Quinn looks up from his book and shrugs, a small smirk on his face. âYeah, alright. Letâs eat.â
Lukeâs arm stays comfortably around your shoulders, pulling you in a little closer as Jack starts unpacking the sushi. He hands you a roll, and without hesitation, you take it, offering a piece to Luke, who grins at you.
âYou sure you want to give me that? I might eat it all,â he teases, leaning in to take the piece from your fingers.
You roll your eyes but laugh. âItâs yours, baby. Iâm just being nice.â
He takes it anyway, his lips brushing your hand for just a moment. âIâll always accept nice,â he says, his voice warm and low.
Meanwhile, Quinn and Jack are fully engaged in their own conversation across the room.
âWait, seriously? You're not hooking up with anyone?!â Jack asks, biting into his roll and glancing over at Quinn. His tone is a mix of playful curiosity and teasing challenge.
Quinn furrows his brow, unsure where this is headed. âJackâŠIâve got other things on my mind right now,â he replies, trying to sound casual but ending up a little too defensive.
Jack raises an eyebrow, his lips curling into a smirk. âOther things, huh? Like you are too busy brooding about your love life?â
Quinn shoots him a lookâpart amusement, part mild annoyanceâbut itâs clear thereâs no real heat behind it. âIâm not brooding, Jack.â
Jack leans in, eyes twinkling with mischief. âSure about that? Youâre the type who could use a little fun, yâknow. Just a little something to shake things up.â
Quinn sighs, pushing his sushi aside and leaning back slightly. âIâm having fun, Jack. But I donât need drama or... random hook-ups like you.â
âOh, come on,â Jack waves a dismissive hand, grinning. âHook-ups arenât drama. Theyâre just... passing moments. You should try it.â
You glance at Luke, stifling a grin as the brothers bicker. Luke notices and leans in, his breath warm against your ear. âBet you ten bucks Quinn secretly thinks Jack needs a relationship.â
You chuckle softly, meeting his gaze. âYouâre probably right.â
Luke shrugs, his grin sly. âHeâs a good big brother, always looking out for Jack. But Jackâs more about living in the moment. Quinn doesnât get that.â
As Jack continues ânow full-on teasing about a girl heâs seeingâQuinn leans back, his patience clearly wearing thin but heâs trying to remain composed. âItâs not just about fun, Jack,â he says, his voice steady but earnest. âYou need stability. You canât just hop from one person to the next and think itâs gonna mean anything.â
Jack leans forward, his grin not faltering. âWho said anything about it âmeaningâ anything? Iâm just here for the ride, bro. You should try living in the moment sometime.â
Quinn shakes his head, voice calm but resolute. âLiving in the moment is fine, but you canât run from what really matters forever.â
Jack shrugs again, his smirk widening. âThe âreal thingâ? Overrated.â
Luke leans in closer to you, his voice dropping to a soft whisper. âIâll never be âoverrated,â right?â
You laugh, nudging him playfully. âNever,â you reply, your voice light with amusement.
Lukeâs fingers brush yours as he takes another piece of sushi, then presses a quick kiss to your cheeks, his breath warm against your skin. âGood. Because you know, youâre my real thing,â he says, so quietly that only you can hear.
Your heart flutters as you look up at him, the familiar comfort of his presence pulling you away from the noise around you. Jack and Quinnâs voices fade into the background. Everything feels easy and relaxed, like you could just stay in this moment.
You lean back against Luke, resting your hand on his thigh, your fingers moving in soft, slow circles. You let his words sink in, the quiet meaning behind them making you feel warm, sparking something inside you.
Lukeâs voice drops again, near a whisper in your ear. âYouâre not listening, are you?â
You shake your head, a soft smile playing on your lips. âToo distracted.â
Lukeâs grin widens, his arms tightening around you. âIâm distracting, huh?â
âDefinitely,â you reply, the heat of his touch quickening your pulse just a little.
In the background, Jackâs voice rises in exaggerated complaint. âYou really need to get a life, Quinn. Iâm starting to think youâre allergic to fun.â
Quinn chuckles under his breath, the familiar rhythm of their sibling banter carrying on.
You close your eyes for a brief moment, listening to their back-and-forth, the warmth of Lukeâs body beside you, the comfort of silence between you two that feels more intimate than words ever could. This momentâthis quiet, easy, perfect momentâfeels like something you never want to let go of.
â
Quinn was wrong. Ellen didnât just dislike youâshe made it clear from the start that you werenât welcome. You still couldnât figure out why.
Youâd arrived in Michigan just a day ago with the boys. Jim, their dad, picked you all up from the airport, and he couldnât have been kinder. He gave you a big, welcoming hug and even cracked a funny joke about his son. He said heâd always known Luke would end up with an older woman because he was the smartest and most mature of the bunch. Jack and Quinn didnât seem too thrilled with the comment, but you couldnât help but feel relieved by Jimâs warmth. He reminded you a lot of Lukeâwitty, laid-back, and effortlessly easy to talk to.
But when it came to Ellen, it was a completely different story. From the moment she saw you, she made sure you knew you werenât welcome. Her âkindnessâ was stiff and calculated. She didnât ask a single question, didnât accept your offer to help clean up after dinner, and every time you spoke, she responded with nothing more than the bare minimum. It was so painfully obvious that, by the end of the night, you couldnât shake the feeling that something was wrong. The boys didnât seem to notice at first, but the tension between you and Ellen only grew, and it soon became obvious to everyone.
After everyone had gone to rest, you sat down on Lukeâs childhood bed, the weight of the evening settling heavily on you. Your chest tightened, and you almost couldnât hold back the tears.
"Hey," Luke said, his voice gentle as he cupped your face. He sat beside you, pulling you into his lap. "Iâm so sorry, darling," he murmured, his voice soft with concern. "I donât get it. Iâve talked about you with her, and she never said anything. I thought this would be easy... but Iâll talk to her. I promise."
You let out a shaky breath, leaning into him as his warmth surrounded you.
You nestle into Lukeâs chest, letting his warmth pull you in. His arms tighten around you, offering comfort, but a familiar knot forms in your stomachâone you hadnât expected to feel again. The way Ellen had treated you, the coldness in her eyesâit hit you harder than you wanted to admit. The doubt that had been lurking in the back of your mind since the beginning, started to creep back in. The same insecurity, the same fear youâd been trying to shake off for months.
You swallow hard, but you donât let your voice shake as you speak. âItâs not your fault, Luke,â you say, your words soft, almost too soft. âItâs just... she made it feel like I donât belong here, you know? Like I donât fit with your family.â
Luke brushes his fingers through your hair, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head. âYou do belong here. I want you here, always,â he murmurs, his voice steady, but you can hear the underlying concern in it.
You nod, but deep down, youâre questioning everything. Am I really good enough for him? That age gapâthe thing that had once seemed so insignificant now feels like an undeniable wall, one you canât climb over. And if Ellen can see it, if she can feel it, maybe itâs a sign that you donât truly fit into his world after all.
âMaybe... maybe Iâm just not what you need,â you whisper, the thought slipping out before you can catch it. âMaybe itâs just harder for me than I thought.â
Luke freezes for a moment, his breath catching as he pulls back slightly to look at you. His eyes are soft, searching, and he lifts your chin with his fingers so youâre forced to meet his gaze.
âWhat do you mean by that?â His voice is low, gentle, but thereâs an edge of worry in it.
You take a shaky breath, fighting back the wave of emotion threatening to overwhelm you. You canât explain it without sounding ridiculous, so instead, you focus on the doubt tormenting you. âI just... I donât know. I keep wondering if Iâm enough for you. If the age gap will always be something that... that people notice. Or if your family will ever accept me for who I am, not just because Iâm with you.â
Lukeâs expression softens even more, and he pulls you close again, this time more firmly. âListen to me,â he says, his voice serious but full of tenderness. âI donât care about the age gap. I donât care about what people think or what my family thinks. All that matters is usâwhat we have together. And if they canât see that, itâs their problem, not ours.â
You close your eyes for a moment, trying to absorb his words, but the uncertainty still lingers, tucked into the corners of your mind. Lukeâs arms tighten around you again, and you feel the steady rhythm of his heartbeat against yours. He doesnât say anything more, just lets the silence settle around you, and you let yourself lean into him completely, allowing the weight of everything to fall awayâif only for a little while.
âI just want you to know that Iâm here,â he adds quietly, his voice almost a whisper now. âNo matter what, Iâm here. And Iâm not letting you go.â
â
The next morning, as the birthday party for Ellen kicks off, the energy in the house is a bit brighter, but your nerves are still on edge. The situation with Ellen hasnât improved, and you're doing your best to push the unease to the back of your mind. Guests begin to trickle inâfamily, friends, everyone buzzing around and chattingâbut you feel like you're still on the outside, quietly observing.
As soon as Lukeâs friends walk inâEthan, Mark, and Dylanâthe room instantly fills with their loud, boisterous energy. You feel a flutter of nerves, but Luke catches your eye, offering you a warm smile and a reassuring squeeze on your shoulder. You stand a little taller.
Ethan is the first to notice you, his gaze flickering between you and Luke.Luke gives a quick, casual introduction, but before you can even get a word in, Ethanâs brow arches, and a kind smile spreads across his face.
"Well, look at this," he says, his voice teasing but laced with curiosity. "Didn't think you'd go for someone a little... more seasoned."
Mark grins and nudges Lukeâs shoulders playfully. "Of course he would, Ethan! Lukeâs always been Mister Serious when it comes to love. But man, you really hit the jackpot here. Didnât think you had it in you."
You canât help but blush a little at their teasing, your cheeks warming. âWhat can I say? Heâs got great taste,â you reply with a playful smile, then turn to Luke, your gaze warm. âAnd sure, heâs youngerâbut trust me, heâs all man. And he deserves someone who sees that.â
For a moment, the teasing fades. Thereâs a brief pause as the words settle in. Lukeâs expression shifts, his eyes lighting up with something close to pride. A slow, knowing smile spreads across his face. Without hesitation, he pulls you a little closer, his arm resting around your waistânot for show, not to prove a point, just because it feels right.
Ethan lets out a small laugh, shaking his head. âAlright, alright. I get it. Guess Lukeâs not the only one serious about this. You finally found someone whoâs in it for real.â
Mark nods, his usual joking tone giving way to something more genuine. âYeah. Honestly, I wish you couldâve heard all the whining before you two got together.â
âOh, it was painful,â Dylan adds, shaking his head dramatically. He drops his voice lower, mimicking Luke in an exaggerated, desperate tone. ââOh, guys, I just want someone who actually wants something realâŠââ
Ethan clutches his forehead like heâs in distress. ââYeah, all the hot girls only want situationships. Itâs terrible. I donât know how Iâll surviveâŠââ
The group bursts into laughter, and Luke, instead of arguing, just grins wider. He shrugs, completely unfazed. âLaugh all you want,â he says, voice steady. Then he turns to you, his smile softening just a little. âBut all the work I put into finding the right person? It was worth it. Sheâs the best thing thatâs ever happened to me.â
His words land like a gentle touch against your heart, a warmth spreading deep in your chest.
The next hour passes in a blur of laughter and easy conversation. You find yourself caught up in wild university stories, each one more ridiculous than the last. The guys tease you, you fire back just as quickly, and before long, youâre all grinning like old friends. Youâre relieved they donât take the whole situation too seriouslyâitâs a welcome break from the weight of everything else on your mind. And right now, you could use a little lightness.
But after a while, Luke reaches for your wrist, his touch gentle but firm. âAlright, Iâm stealing her for a bit,â he announces, giving the guys a pointed look. âGotta introduce her to some family members.â
Mark groans dramatically. âAh, yes. The official tour. Good luck.â
"Donât let Aunt Carol talk your ear off," Dylan smirks before taking a long sip of his beer.
Ethan leans back with a knowing grin. âAnd watch out for the cousinsâthereâs like a hundred of them.â
You laugh, but as Luke leads you away, you quickly realize they werenât exaggerating. The Hughes family is much bigger than you expected.
For the next forty minutes, you meet what feels like an endless stream of aunts, uncles, and cousins, each one greeting you with warmth and curiosity. But what surprises you most isnât the size of his familyâitâs how effortless Luke makes it all feel.
He guides you seamlessly from one introduction to the next, never once leaving your side. He carries the conversations with ease, knowing exactly when to jump in, when to steer the small talk, and when to give you space to speak. Any moment you start to feel overwhelmed, heâs thereâa reassuring glance, a hand resting lightly on your back, a quiet squeeze of your fingers. Itâs not just about introducing you to them. Itâs about making sure you feel comfortable.
And thatâs when it truly hits you.
Luke isnât just proving something to his family and friends. Heâs proving it to you.
Every touch, every word, every small momentâitâs all a reminder. A reminder that this isnât temporary, that youâre not some passing phase in his life. You belong here, with him, in his world, and he wants everyone to know it.
More than thatâhe wants you to know it.
And as you watch the way he looks at you, the way he proudly keeps you close, the way he makes sure you feel seen, heard, and respectedâitâs undeniable.
Luke isnât just proud to be with you.
Heâs protecting this.
Protecting you.
â
After what feels like the hundredth introduction in a row, you realize you need a break. The constant smiling, small talk, and endless new faces are starting to wear on you. Luke has been incredibleâsteady, attentive, making everything easierâbut even with him at your side, you need a moment to breathe.
âIâm just gonna grab some water,â you tell him softly, squeezing his hand.
He studies you for a second, like he knows youâre feeling overwhelmed, but he nods. âTake your time. Iâll be right here.â
Slipping away, you make your way to the kitchen, relieved to find it empty. You lean against the counter, inhaling deeply, trying to shake the exhaustion creeping in. Just a few seconds of quiet. Thatâs all you need.
But then, voices drift in from the hallway.
Ellenâs voice.
And she doesnât sound happy.
âI just donât understand it,â she says, frustration dripping from every word. âWhat does she even want with him?â
Thereâs a pause, then another voiceâher friend, quieter, hesitant. âMaybe she really does care about him?â
Ellen lets out a bitter laugh. âOh, Iâm sure she cares. Why wouldnât she? Heâs young, successful, and comes from a good family. But letâs be realâsheâs not stupid. She knows exactly what sheâs doing.â
Your stomach tightens.
âWhat do you mean?â her friend asks cautiously.
Ellen huffs. âSheâs older. She knows time isnât on her side. Sheâs probably already thinking about ways to lock him down before he wakes up and realizes what a mistake this is.â
Your breath catches in your throat.
âOh, come on,â her friend murmurs. âThatâs a little extreme, donât you think?â
âIs it?â Ellenâs voice sharpens. âYou know how these things go. Maybe sheâs already hinting at the next stepâmoving in, getting engaged. And then what? A baby? Accidents happen all the time, donât they?â
Your heart pounds.
No.
She wouldnâtâshe couldnât think that.
"Thatâs just the natural progression of a relationship, Ellen," her friend says, though thereâs a hint of hesitation in her voice. "And she doesnât seem like the type who would do that."
Ellen doesnât hesitate. âMaybe not now. But give it time. Sheâll make sure sheâs set, one way or another. And then what? Lukeâs stuck. Tied down before heâs even had the chance to live his life. Heâs too young for thisâhe should be focused on hockey, his future, not playing house with some woman whoâs way older than him.â
Your hands tremble against the counter.
She thinks youâre trapping him. That youâre manipulating him, clinging to him for his money, his name, his future. That youâre selfish enough to take away everything heâs worked for just so you can have stability.
Every ugly thought youâve ever had about yourself, every insecurity you thought youâd buried, slams into you all at once.
Youâre too old for him. Heâs too young to know what he really wants. You are holding him back. Maybe one day, he will regret this.
You squeeze your eyes shut, trying to shove the thoughts away, but they keep coming. The weight of them sits heavy on your chest, suffocating.
Itâs unfair. Itâs cruel.
Because you know the truth.
You never wanted anything from Luke but him. His love, his presence, the way he makes you feel like you finally belong somewhere. Heâs the one who pulled you in, who made you believe this could work.
And yet, here you are, listening to his own mother rip you apart like youâre nothing more than an opportunist.
Tears sting at the back of your eyes, but you refuse to let them fall.
No.
You will not let her do this to you.
You take a shaky breath, lifting your chin.
You could walk out there right now. Confront her. Demand to know how she can say these things when everyone else can see how much you and Luke love each other.
But you wonât. Not yet.
This isnât the time, and you wonât make a sceneânot at Lukeâs family gathering, not when heâs worked so hard to make this day special.
Instead, you straighten your shoulders, press your palms against the counter, and take one last deep breath.
Youâll go back to Luke.
Because he is the only thing that matters right now.
But laterâwhen the party is over, when itâs just the two of youâyou will talk to Ellen.
One way or another, this conversation is happening.
Because no matter what she thinks, no matter what doubts she tries to plant in your head, thereâs one thing you know for sure.
You love Luke, and you're not going anywhere. You wonât let the dark thoughts take over.
â
When the party winds down and the last of the guests have left, the house settles into a peaceful quiet, a soft hum lingering in the air. The only sounds coming from outside are the occasional bursts of laughter from the porch, where Luke and his brothers sit with Jim, sipping their drinks and listening to some old country music.
You were out there with them for a while, curled up next to Luke, letting the warmth of his presence chase away the lingering sting of what youâd overheard. But no matter how much you tried to push it down, itâs still thereâEllenâs words, the accusations, the way she spoke about you like you were some kind of threat to her sonâs future.
You canât let it go.
So you slip inside, your pulse quickening with every step through the quiet house. You find Ellen in the kitchen, wiping down the counters, her expression calmâlike she hasnât just spent the evening making you feel like a complete fraud.
She doesnât even glance your way, let alone acknowledge you with a hi. So, youâre the one who finally breaks the silence.
âI heard what you said earlier,â you say, your voice quieter this time, but no less firm. âAbout me. About why you donât think I belong with Luke.â
Ellen tenses but doesnât look at you. Not yet. âI assume you didnât like what you heard.â
You let out a soft, humorless laugh. âNo. But I think I get it.â You hesitate for a second before continuing, forcing yourself to push past the knot in your throat. âThe truth is, Ellen, Iâve had all of those same fears. Maybe even worse ones.â
That gets her attention. She looks up, eyes narrowing slightly. âWhat do you mean?â
You exhale, gripping the back of a chair as you gather your thoughts.
âWhen I met Luke, I didnât even know who he was. I didnât know he was in the NHL, I didnât know he was 21. Hell, I didnât even know his last name the first time we talked.â You shake your head, a bitter smile tugging at your lips. âIf I had known? I probably wouldnât have let myself get close to him. Because I never intended for any of this to happen.â
Ellen watches you carefully, arms crossed, but she doesnât interrupt.
âI fought it,â you admit, voice barely above a whisper. âYou have no idea how much convincing it took for me to even give this a chance. Luke⊠he saw something in me from the start, something I didnât even see in myself. He was patient. He never pushed, never made me feel like I had to be anything other than who I was. And when I told him I wasnât sure? That I was scared? He just waited. He let me take my time.â
You swallow hard, your fingers tightening around the back of the chair youâre standing behind. âThatâs why we kept it quiet. For seven months, Ellen. Not because we were hiding, but because I needed to be sure. Because I needed to know that this wasnât just some fleeting thing for him. That it wasnât just⊠a phase, or a rebellion, or some naive fantasy. I needed to know that what we had was real before I let myself believe in it.â
Ellenâs expression shifts for the first time, and you catch a flicker of somethingâuncertainty, maybe understandingâbut you still canât read it completely.
But youâre not done yet.
âI never wanted to be some scandal. Some headline. Some⊠joke to people who think they know our relationship just because they know his name.â Your throat tightens, but you push through it. âIâve never even been to one of his games. Not once. Because Iâm terrified of what people will say about me. About us. About how Iâm âtoo old for himâ or âusing himâ orââ Your voice breaks slightly, but you shake your head, forcing yourself to continue.
âYou think I donât lie awake at night wondering if Iâm whatâs best for him? If I should justâwalk away before the world does everything it can to tear us apart?â You let out a shaky breath. âBecause I do.â
Ellen looks at you then, really looks at you. For the first time, she doesnât seem like an overprotective mother searching for someone to blame.
She just looks like a mother whoâs scared.
You exhale, your voice barely above a whisper as you speak, âYouâre not the only one scared of me hurting him, Ellen. Iâm terrified of it, too.â
Ellen listens, her eyes focused, waiting for you to continue. You swallow hard, your chest tightening as you try to steady your nerves.
âI know the fans donât even know about me yet, but I can already see it. Once they do, itâll blow up. All over social media, rumors flying, and people judging himâjudging usâjust because Iâm older. I donât want him to have to deal with that kind of pressure. Not when heâs already got so much on his plate.â
You run a hand through your hair, the weight of it all sinking in like a stone in your stomach. âAnd his teammates... What if it makes things weird for him? Heâs worked his whole life for this. The last thing I want is to be the thing that complicates his career, or makes him feel like he has to choose between me and them.â
Your eyes meet Ellenâs, filled with doubt, uncertainty. âI just donât know if heâs ready for all that... for everything this could mean.â
A heavy silence settles between you, not suffocating, but thick with the gravity of your words. Ellenâs gaze drops for a moment, her hands gripping the edge of the counter like sheâs trying to hold herself steady, as if your fears have somehow shifted something in her.
Finally, she speaks.
âIââ She stops herself, exhales sharply. When she looks at you again, thereâs something different in her eyes. Not quite acceptance, but maybe the beginning of understanding.
âI didnât know any of that,â she admits with a flat voice.
âNo,â you say softly. âYou didnât.â
She presses her lips together, glancing out the window at Luke, whoâs still outside with his brothers, laughing, completely unaware of the storm brewing inside. When she turns back to you, her expression is unreadable. âYou drink?â she asks, tone even.
You nod without a second thought. âI do now.â
For the first time since you walked in, the corner of her mouth twitchesâjust a hint of amusement, barely there but enough to notice.
â
ââThe tension in the kitchen finally eases, and for the first time tonight, the air feels lighter. Ellen, usually so cold, is now leaning against the counter, sipping her gin and laughing with you. The sharpness in her gaze has softened, replaced with a warmth you never expected to see.
âIâll tell you something,â she says, her words slightly slurred, âI didnât expect this to be my night.â She chuckles, a soft, genuine laugh that catches you off guard. âBut itâs good to let the walls come down every once in a while, huh?â
You nod, amused by how effortlessly sheâs transformed. âYeah, itâs surprising,â you admit, feeling genuinely relaxed now. âBut I think weâre getting somewhere.â
âOh, we definitely are,â Ellen agrees, her eyes twinkling with mischief. âBut you wanna hear something really fun? Luke⊠oh boy, Luke was a mess with his first crush.â
Your eyebrows shoot up. âLuke? Mr. Charismatic?â
âOh, yes,â Ellen says, practically grinning. She lowers her voice, leaning in like sheâs about to share the juiciest secret. âI remember this girl. He practiced for days in front of the mirror, building up the courage to ask her to the school dance. Iâm standing in the hallway, praying for him, and he goes up to her and says, âHi⊠um⊠so⊠would you maybe⊠like, want to⊠uh, go with me to the event?ââ She mimics his awkward tone, twisting her face in that exact âIâm-so-embarrassedâ expression. âThe poor kid froze. It was so bad, I had to leave the room because I couldnât stop laughing.â
You try to stifle your laughter, but it escapes in a burst. âNo way, Luke? He really did that?â
âOh, yes,â Ellen confirms, shaking her head with a grin. âThatâs my boy. The âcharismaticâ one.â She takes another sip of her drink, voice dropping even lower. âBut wait. Thereâs more.â
Your eyes widen, knowing youâre in for something worse.
âOh yeah,â she smirks, clearly loving the moment. âLetâs talk about Lukeâs first real kiss. He was about 15, hanging out at a friendâs party. He finally found the courage to kiss this girl heâd been eyeing all night, and everything was going fine. Theyâre talking, laughing, and thenâhe goes in for the kiss. And completely misses. Right past her lips, straight into her nose.â She pauses, relishing the buildup. âSheâs standing there, totally confused, and Luke? He freaked out and bolted. Literally ran out of the party like a man on fire.â
You burst into laughter, barely able to catch your breath. âNo way! He missed the whole thing?â
âOh, yeah,â Ellen says, not missing a beat. âAnd then he spent the next hour Googling âhow to kiss a girl.â I had to give him a whole lesson on lip placement.â She shakes her head, still grinning. âI thought I was going to die of second-hand embarrassment.â
Just as you think you canât laugh any harder, the door creaks open.
Jack steps into the kitchen, eyes widening at the sight of the empty bottles and the two of you clearly well into your cups.
âWhat the hell is going on in here?â Jack asks, a mix of confusion and amusement on his face, though his grin is practically splitting his face in two. You can tell without a doubt that he overheard your conversation with Elle. His eyes flick to Luke, whoâs right behind him, his face already bright red. âWait, youâre telling me thatâs actually true? You missed your first kiss?â
Luke freezes, his eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. âIâlook, it wasnât a big deal. I was nervous, alright? Cut me some slack.â
Jackâs grin widens, clearly delighted. âOh man, this is perfect. Finally, something else embarrassing about Luke I can hold over his head.â He laughs to himself before adding, âI thought I knew all the stories. This oneâs gold.â
Before Luke can recover, Ellen jumps in, her voice rising as she relishes the moment. âOh, weâre not done yet, Jack. Remember when I found Lukeâs âdating handbookâ when he was 16? A whole book, filled with tips like âhow to avoid awkward silencesâ and âperfect first date questions.ââ She practically slams her glass down, savoring every second of Lukeâs embarrassment.
Luke looks like heâs about to vanish into thin air. His hands are buried in his face, but itâs no useâhis brothers are on a roll.
Quinn walks in, laughing, with Jim right behind him, grinning widely. âWait, what? A book? Oh man, Iâm dead.â
Luke tries to defend himself. âGuys, please. I was just⊠figuring things out.â
Jim gives Luke a dramatic pat on the back, his voice dripping with exaggerated sympathy. âDonât worry, son. Weâve all been there. I remember when Jack asked meâat 18âhow to know when itâs the right time to hold hands.â He pauses for effect, letting the silence hang. âAt 18!â
You burst into uncontrollable laughter, practically gasping for air. âOh my god, Jack?! Mr. âIâm your Prince Charming, Flirt Kingâ himself?â
Jackâs face goes pale, and his expression shifts to pure horror. Itâs his turn to turn bright red now. âDad! You promised it was gonna stay between us!â
The kitchen is filled with laughter, and your cheeks start to hurt from smiling so much.
Ellen takes another sip of her drink, a mischievous glint in her eye as she winks at you. âYou think thatâs bad? Just wait until I tell you about the time I caught Quinn on his computer, searching for⊠letâs say, questionable content. I almost had a heart attack. I thought he was watching a documentary on the history of hockey⊠but nope. Wrong side of the internet.â She smirks, clearly enjoying herself. âAnd, for the record, I learned something that day. Quinnâs type is definitely Latinas.â
Quinn, whoâd been casually sipping his beer while leaning against the kitchen arch, nearly chokes on the drink. His face turns bright red as well. âMOM, STOP!â
The whole room bursts into laughter again.
Ellen, a little tipsy but clearly loving the chaos, glances at you with a softer, more genuine smile. Her voice, though still playful, carries a hint of warmth. âBut Lukeâs a good kid, you know. A little awkward, a little goofy, butâŠâ She pauses, her eyes softening as she looks at Luke, then back to you. ââŠbut heâs got a heart of gold.â
You take a deep breath, wiping away tears of laughter. âOh, I know, Ellen. Iâm one lucky woman to have him in my life.â
Luke looks at you with so much love in his eyes, his gaze shifting between you and his mother, a soft smile on his face. You can see the relief wash over him.
You wink at him, giving him a silent sign that everything is going to be alright.
Ellen takes another sip, her tone shifting into something more sincere. âIâm sorry for all the tension earlier. Luke is lucky to have you as well.â
Luke meets her eyes and sends a warm, loving smile to his mother. He steps over to you, wrapping his arm around you and planting a short, warm kiss on your forehead. âThanks for sticking around for this disaster,â he says quietly, whispering in your ear, his voice full of meaning.
âOf course, honey! You canât get rid of me that easily!â
â
You never imagined youâd miss Michigan that much. But back in Jersey, the difference hit you hard. Life here was faster, louder, and more chaotic. The NHL season was in full swing, and the Devils were struggling. With every loss, the pressure on Luke grew, and so did the distance between you two. His mind was consumed by the game, leaving little room for anything else. You could feel the weight of his career slowly pushing you apart. The whole situation felt like it was constantly testing your ability to balance everything, but you knew you had to figure it out.
So, without thinking too much, you made the decision to move in with Luke and Jack. You didnât want things to feel so difficult. Luke had already sacrificed so much, supporting you through everything. Now, it was your turn to make the sacrificeâto make it easier for him.
The adjustment wasnât instant. Between Lukeâs demanding schedule and the pressure from the season, there were days when it felt like everything was pulling in different directions. But you found a way to make it work. You took a new job with more flexible hours, something that would allow you to be there for him more consistently. It wasnât just about giving him spaceâit was about creating the kind of life together where you could both feel secure and steady, no matter how busy or intense his career became.
Living with Luke and Jack brought its own challenges, but it also gave you the chance to help shoulder some of the burden. You worked from home most days, only going into the office once a week. You kept the apartment tidy, cooked meals, and made sure they always had something warm to come home to. Even Jack, who kept up his usual tough-guy act, showed signs of how much the season was getting to him. You could tell the losses were affecting him too. And though Luke remained a rock for everyone around him, the weight of the season was clearly taking its toll.
Luke insisted on covering everythingârent, utilities, groceries. He wanted to spoil you, but you couldnât just let that happen. You needed to contribute, to show that you were just as invested in making this work. You wanted to take care of him, take care of them, and make sure they all felt supported during this time of stress. The more you learned about the pressures of his life, the more you were ready to do whatever it took to ease his burden, even if it meant adjusting your own life to make it easier for him.
One evening, not long after youâd moved in, you and Luke were curled up on the couch, watching a game. You didnât fully understand hockey, but the Leafs were playing, and if you were being honest, they were the other team you secretly enjoyed watching. In fact, if you werenât so loyal to Luke, you might have even liked them betterâsomething that always made him laugh. Youâd deny it every time, swearing your heart belonged to the Devils, but he always saw right through you.
Between plays, Luke glanced at you, his expression turning serious. âI know you want to take things slow and everything,â he started, his fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns along your thigh. âBut I was thinking⊠maybe you could come to my game this weekend.â
Your breath hitched slightly, and he must have noticed because he quickly added, âThe guys already know about you, so it wouldnât be a big deal or anything. We donât have to post anything online, but I donât want to hide you.â His voice was firm, certain. âI want the world to know youâre mine.â
You hesitated, nerves flickering in your stomach.
âThe Devils are playing the Leafs,â he continued, knowing that might tip the scales in his favor. âSo, technically, youâll be seeing both of your favorite teams.â
You laughed, rolling your eyes. âYou act like Iâm a Leafs fan.â
He smirked. âYou are a Leafs fan. You just refuse to admit it.â
A few months ago, the very thought of agreeing to this would have terrified you. The idea of stepping into the spotlight, facing criticism, and becoming visible would have been enough to send you into a spiral. But after everything you had been through with Luke, you knew one thing for sure: you trusted his love.
A slow smile spread across your lips as you nodded. âOkay. Letâs do this.â
Luke blinked, caught off guard. âWaitâthatâs it?â
You laughed at his shock. âYep, thatâs it.â You leaned in, pressing your forehead against his. âBecause I love you, Lukey. You stood by me when I was scared, when I didnât trust this, when I wasnât sure I could handle it. You were patient, you fought for usâeven when your family made it hard. I want to be there for you too. I want to be the girlfriend in the stands, screaming my lungs out for you.â
His grin was instant, boyish and bright. âGod, I love you,â he murmured before pulling you into a deep kiss.
You smirked as you pulled back, your fingers playing with the curls at the nape of his neck. âI canât wait for the weekend,â you teased, watching his lips twitch in amusement as you both turned back to the game. The Leafs were destroying Montreal, and you grinned. âDo you think I can meet Woll?â
Luke groaned, shaking his head. âYouâre insane,â he said, but there was nothing but fondness in his tone. âBut if thatâs what you want, Iâll make it happen.â
You giggled, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. âIâm just teasing. But you really are the best, honey. Thanks for offering.â
Lukeâs large palm slipped under your pajama top, fingers trailing slow, teasing patterns against your skin. His touch sent a shiver through you, the warmth of his palm settling just below your ribs, dangerously close to your breast. A slow, knowing smirk tugged at his lips.
âOf course, baby,â he murmured, dipping his head to press open-mouthed kisses along your jaw. âI love seeing you happy.â
His tongue traced light, deliberate circles on the sensitive spot beneath your ear, and a soft whimper slipped from your lips.Your fingers trailed down his chest, moving lower, before wrapping around his cock in a slow, languid stroke. He tensed beneath your touch, a deep groan rumbling from his chest as his head fell against your shoulder.
"If I knew youâd be this grateful just for the chance to meet Woll," he rasped, voice thick with amusement and something darker, "maybe I should set up a whole meet-and-greet."
You chuckled, your touch slow and purposeful. âOh, let me give you a real taste of my gratitudeâŠâ
And just like that, all thoughts of hockey, public appearances, and game-day nerves melted away.
â
The hum of the arena is deafening as you step inside, the rush of energy from the crowd crashing over you like a wave. The lights pulse overhead, casting a bright glow over the ice below. Youâre here for Luke, to support him, to cheer him on the way a girlfriend should, but thereâs something about this placeâthe cold air, the flashing cameras, the subtle glancesâthat makes your nerves spike.
You knew this was going to be hard.
Dating someone like Lukeâsomeone young, rising, and constantly in the public eyeâwas never going to be easy. The moment your relationship became public, you knew the scrutiny would follow. You had braced yourself for it, told yourself that the people who matteredâLuke, his family, his friendsâknew your heart. But now, standing in the heart of it all, the weight of their eyes on you, the quiet whispers just loud enough to hear, it felt real.
Luke had reassured you before you left. He had watched you fuss over your outfit for way too long, smoothing out invisible wrinkles, reapplying your lip gloss three times, making sure everything was just right. He had only smiled, stepping behind you in the mirror, wrapping his arms around your waist as he pressed a soft kiss to your shoulder.
âBabe, you look amazing,â he had murmured. âBut none of this matters. Just enjoy the night, okay? Thatâs all I care about.â
You had nodded, comforted by his words, but now? Now, under the luminous glow of the arena, your stomach was twisting.
The energy inside the arena was electric, the kind of buzz that sent chills up your spine. Fans decked out in red and blue roared with excitement as the players hit the ice, their sticks tapping against the boards, the sharp sound cutting through the deafening noise. You shouldâve been excitedâthis was Lukeâs big game, your first official game as his girlfriend.
But all you felt was nerves.
You sat with the WAGs, hands folded tightly in your lap as you tried to shake off the anxiety bubbling in your chest. Some of the women were niceâreally nice, actually. Reanne, Curtis Lazarâs wife, was a breath of fresh air. From the moment you sat down, she had gone out of her way to make you feel welcome, chatting with you like youâd been friends for years. She had this warmth about her, something easy and kind, and it helped, a little.
But then there were the others.
The ones who barely acknowledged your existence. The ones who offered tight, forced smiles when you caught their eye, then turned away just as quickly. And then there were the ones who didnât bother hiding their disdain at all.
You tried not to let it get to you. You focused on the game, let Reanne fill in the gaps whenever you looked lost, and even managed to enjoy yourself. For a while, it almost felt normal.
Until you heard them.
âSheâs way too old for him... And whatâs with those thighs? She could crush him with those things.â
The words were whispered but loud enough to make your stomach sink.
âI know, right? She looks like sheâs been spending all her time in the gym, but not in a good way. Itâs like, too much muscle, too little femininity.â Another voice scoffed, clearly enjoying the cruelty.
You clenched your fists, refusing to look at them, keeping your focus locked on the ice.
You knew you were strong, and you had worked hard for the body you had. Youâd been a big runnerâthe kind of runner who had thick thighs and a solid ass from hours on the pavement.
You used to take pride in it. It was why you crossed the finish line of that half marathon when no one thought you could.
But now, their wordsâthose cutting commentsâhad you questioning everything youâd once felt proud of.
Reanneâs body stiffened beside you, her hand gripping her drink so hard you thought it might shatter. You could feel her holding back, ready to snap. But before she could, another voice joined in, the laugh sharp and cruel.
âSeriously, she has to be in it for the money. Why else would someone her age be with a kid fresh out of college?â
Laughter. Actual laughter.
Your hands clenched into fists, nails digging into your palms.
You shouldnât care. You knew this would happen. You knew people would judge. But knowing didnât make it easier.
And then you saw it.
A few rows ahead, a girl had her phone out, camera angled just right.
She was recording.
Your breath caught in your throat.
She wasnât recording the game.
She was recording them. Recording their words. Recording you.
Your chest felt tight, your pulse hammering in your ears. You wanted to look away, to pretend it wasnât happening, but you couldnât. You were frozen, caught in this horrible moment, trapped between humiliation and the overwhelming desire to disappear.
The rest of the game passed in a blur. You barely saw Luke on the ice. You barely heard the cheers, the commentary, the final buzzer signaling the end of the third period. By the time you snapped out of it, everyone around you was standing, gathering their things, filing out toward the exits.
Reanne touched your arm gently. âHey,â she murmured, her voice filled with concern. âAre you okay?â
You forced a smile and nodded. âYeah, just tired.â It was a lie, but you said it anyway.
She didnât look convinced, but she didnât push. Instead, she gave your arm a reassuring squeeze. âDonât let their words get to you. Luke loves you, and thatâs all that matters.â
You walked out of the arena, blending into the sea of fans, trying not to let it showâtrying not to let the weight of their words sink too deep.
And you almost made it.
But then, later that night, the video surfaced.
You saw it before Luke did. Before anyone did.
A clip, grainy but clear enough. Voices sneering, words like knives. The comments were already rolling in, tearing you apart.
"Imagine being this insecure đ"
"She looks so uncomfortable, lol. Like she knows she doesnât belong."
"Luke deserves WAY better than this. Yikes."
"Sheâs literally just a glorified babysitter at this point đ"
"Does she think having a nose that big makes her look sophisticated? Girl, itâs giving witch vibes."
"Her thighs look like they belong in a bodybuilding competition, not on a woman supposedly âdatingâ someone half her age. đ©"
"Sheâs trying so hard to act unbothered, but itâs actually embarrassing to watch."
"Grannyâs out here desperately trying to keep up with the younger crowd. Itâs kinda sad, tbh. đ”"
"What does Luke even see in her? Itâs definitely not her looks. đŹ"
"Her whole vibe is just âclinging to relevance.â Sheâs obviously using him for attention."
These were the milder ones. The others were worseâfull of venom, wishing harm on you, calling you a slut, and throwing out every vile insult they could think of.
The comments made you feel sick, a weight settling in your chest that you didnât know how to shake. Youâd never felt this insecure beforeânot like this. Youâd had your struggles when you were younger, moments of doubt about your body, but you grew past them. You were strong, healthy, confident. But now? Now, their words crawled under your skin, making you question everything. And worst of all, you didnât know how to make it stop.
But you didnât tell Luke.
You couldnât bring yourself to. He was always so strong for you, always there when you needed him. You wanted to do the same for himâbe there on his game day, support him, and not add to the weight he was already carrying.
So you swallowed it down.
You went home with him, pretended everything was fine, let him kiss you, let him hold you. And only when he grabbed his book and started reading, you slipped into the shower.
You strip off your clothes, the chill of the bathroom air prickling your skin. As you step into the shower, the scalding water rushes over you, its heat wrapping around you, though it does little to quiet the chaos inside. The cold porcelain presses against your back, a sharp contrast that should bring you back to the presentâbut even that isnât enough. You feel trapped. The cruel words from earlier echo in your mind, the judgment, the harshness, circling you like a storm you canât outrun.
Youâre ashamed of yourself for feeling weak. For letting it get to you. But despite your best efforts to keep it together, the tears come. And this time, you donât fight them.
They fall freely, hot and relentless, and for the first time tonight, you allow yourself to feel the weight of it all. You spend what feels like hours under the running water, each tear that falls stripping away a little more of the armor youâve been wearing all day.
Luke knocks gently on the door after a while. His voice is soft, just outside the bathroom. âHey, are you okay in there?â
You swallow the lump in your throat and force a shaky breath, brushing the wet strands of your hair away from your face. âYeah, Iâm fine,â you say, your voice betraying you. âJust wanted to wash my hair.â
Eventually, you rinse the last of the tears away, the water now lukewarm against your skin. You take a shaky breath, forcing yourself to steady your hands as you turn off the shower. The silence in the bathroom is almost suffocating, but itâs better than the weight of the words still lingering in your mind.
You wrap a towel around yourself, trying to gather your thoughts. You take a moment to compose yourself before stepping out, the cold air hitting you once more. You stare at your reflection in the mirror, not recognizing the person looking back.
With a final, shaky breath, you step out of the bathroom, the cool air hitting your damp skin. Your heart feels heavy, the weight of the night still pressing down, but with each step toward the bedroom, the tightness in your chest loosensâjust a little.
You force a smile onto your face, though it feels more like a mask than anything real.Â
Luke is lying on the bed in just his boxers, scrolling through his phone. Your heart skips a beat as you take in his tall, athletic frame. His hair is still damp from his post-game shower.
"Luke, Iâm so proud of you tonight," you say, sitting down beside him and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. "The whole team was amazing. I canât believe you guys beat the Leafs! You really played your hearts out."
He smiles at you, but thereâs a flicker of concern in his eyes. You try to ignore it.
âIâm gonna make us some hot chocolate to celebrate,â you add, standing up. âI know how much you love it after a game.â You try to sound upbeat, like everything is fine, but as you turn toward the door, you feel his hand gently catch yours.
âHey,â Luke says softly, pulling you back toward the bed. âWhy didnât you talk to me about the video?â
You freeze.
Heâs holding you close now, his gaze steady, but thereâs a quiet hurt in his eyes. âI saw it online. And I saw the comments as well. I⊠I donât want to push you, but I need to know why you didnât tell me.â
You bite your lip, your heart hammering in your chest. This is the moment youâve been avoiding. You feel all your walls start to crumble.
âI didnât want to bother you,â you confess, your voice barely above a whisper. âI know you have so much on your plateâyour career, the pressure from the team. And IâI didnât want to be another thing weighing you down. But when I saw those comments, when I heard what they said tonight⊠I justâI felt like I didnât belong. Like Iâm too old, too ugly, not thin enough⊠likeâŠI justââ
Your voice wavers, thick with emotion, but Luke doesnât rush you. He just waits, patient and steady, his eyes soft with understanding as he gives you the space to let it out.
âI think this was my breaking point,â you admit, your voice trembling slightly. âIâve been fighting from the startâtrying to prove myself to everyone. And I know youâve been fighting tooâdonât get me wrong, I know youâve had my back every step of the way. But first, it was Quinn, questioning if I was really with you for the right reasons. Then your mom, who hated me from the beginning. I know they all love me now, but it wasnât easy. Itâs been so stressful, Lukey.â
You take a deep breath, trying to steady yourself. âAnd then today at your game... what those girls said about meâit hit hard. I tried to brush it off, but then someone recorded it and posted it online. I felt humiliated, Luke. And when I checked the comments... they were brutal. Nasty, hurtful things. Itâs messing with my head, and I donât know how to ignore it anymore. Iâve never been this insecure. But ever since weâve been together, all I hear is that Iâm not enough. Not pretty enough, not young enough, not enough to be your partner.â
Your voice catches, a quiet sob slipping through before you can stop it. The moment it does, Luke moves. He doesnât hesitateâhe just pulls you into his chest, his arms wrapping around you like a shield. His hand finds the back of your head, fingers threading gently through your damp hair as he holds you close.
"I just⊠I wanted today to be about you, not about me." A shaky breath escapes you as you drop your gaze, fingers twisting nervously in your lap. "You played so well tonight, and all I wanted was to celebrate you. But instead, I let thisâlet themâget to me. And I hate that."
Luke exhales softly, his lips pressing a lingering kiss to your temple. When he speaks, his voice is quiet but sure, full of something unshakable.
âYou are more than enough,â he murmurs, the words sinking into you like warmth on a cold night. âYou always have been. You always will be. Youâre everything to me.â
Luke doesnât let go. His arms stay wrapped around you, his hand resting against the back of your head like heâs trying to shield you from the weight of the world. You donât realize how tightly youâre clinging to him until he pulls back slightly, just enough to look at you, his thumb brushing away a stray tear from your cheek.
For a moment, he just studies you, his gaze searching, like heâs trying to memorize every inch of your face. Then, without a word, he reaches over to his nightstand, pulling open the drawer. You watch as he hesitates for just a second before pulling something out, something small, something that glints under the soft glow of the bedside lamp.
A ring with a stunning, oversized diamond that catches the light with every movement.
Your breath faltered.
âI need you to listen to me,â Luke says, his voice steady but laced with something deeperâsomething raw, something real. He holds the ring between his fingers, turning it slightly so the light bounces off the metal. âIâm not asking you anything right now, okay? So donât freak out.â
You blink, heart hammering in your chest.
He exhales, a quiet laugh escaping, but thereâs no nervousness in his expressionâonly certainty. âI bought this after our first date.â His eyes flicker up to yours, searching for your reaction. âAfter you left my apartment that night⊠I just knew. I knew what I wanted. What I wanted with you.â
Your lips part, but no words come out.
Luke swallows hard, his fingers tightening around the ring like it holds the weight of everything he feels for you. His eyes never leave yours, soft yet unwavering, full of a love so deep it steals the breath from your lungs.
âI didnât buy this because I thought weâd rush into anything,â he murmurs, voice thick with emotion. âI bought it because from the moment you walked out of my apartment after our first date, I knew.â He pauses, his thumb brushing gently over your knuckles, tracing invisible patterns on your skin. âI knew that someday, this is where weâd end up. That no matter how much time passed, no matter what life threw at us, it was always going to be you.â
Your throat tightens, tears pooling in your eyes, but they donât fallânot yet.
Your breath catches, and Luke lifts your hand, pressing the ring into your palm, letting you feel the solid weight of it.
âYou are my safe place,â he murmurs, his thumb brushing over your skin, warm and reassuring. âNo matter what happens in my careerâif I have the best season of my life or if I screw up every gameâI know I get to come home to you. And that means more to me than anything.â
Your fingers tremble as they curl around the ring, feeling the cool metal press into your skin.
Lukeâs lips twitch into a soft, knowing smile, his dimples peeking through. âIâm not asking you to marry me right now. I know youâd think itâs too soon, and I want to do this rightâwhen you're ready. But I need you to know⊠this is my plan. You are my plan.â His voice drops lower, thick with love, with certainty. âI want to spend my life with you. I want to wake up next to you every morning and fall asleep with you every night. I want a house filled with love and warmth. And laughterâso much laughter.â His grin widens, eyes sparkling. âKids' laughter. A lot of kids, running around, driving us crazy, making our house a home.â
A tear slips down your cheek, but youâre smiling, your heart so full it feels like it might burst.
Luke lifts a hand, gently wiping away the tear with his thumb before cupping your face. âI just needed you to know that no matter what anyone says, no matter what doubts creep into your head⊠you are everything I have ever wanted. And one day, when the time is right, Iâm going to put this ring on your finger for real.â Lukeâs thumb traces slow, soothing circles against your cheek, his gaze still locked onto yours. âJust promise me one thing,â he murmurs. âBe honest with me. Always. No more hiding when youâre hurting, no more keeping things in because you think you have to protect me. Weâre a team, okay? You and me.â
Your heart swells at his words, the sincerity in his eyes making it impossible to look away. You nod, swallowing past the lump in your throat. âOkay,â you whisper. âI promise.â
And then, the words just spill outâbecause how could you not say them?
âI love you, Luke.â Your voice is full of emotion, thick with everything you feel for him. âI love you so much it scares me sometimes.â A watery laugh escapes as you shake your head. âAnd I know it sounds ridiculous, but I want this too. The house, the laughter, the kids running around and driving us insane. I want all of it. With you.â
Lukeâs smile is so wide, so full of love, that it nearly knocks the breath from your lungs. But youâre not done. Because itâs not just the big thingsâitâs the little things too.
âI love how you have to eat the same exact snack after every game because youâre convinced itâs good luck, even though you definitely donât need it,â you tease, nudging him playfully. âI love the way you belt out the wrong lyrics to every song in the shower like youâre performing at Madison Square Garden.â
Luke lets out a laugh, shaking his head, but you can see the way his ears turn red.
âAnd I love that you send me the dumbest textsâeven when weâre literally in the same apartment,â you add with a grin. âLike, do you really need to text me just to ask if we have ice cream when you could just open the freezer?â
His laugh is full and unguarded, his arms tightening around you as he buries his face in your neck. âOkay, that oneâs fair,â he admits, voice muffled against your skin.
You tilt your head back, looking at him, feeling completely at home in his arms. âI love all of you, Luke. The good, the bad, the absolutely ridiculous.â Your voice softens as your fingers trace along his jaw. âAnd no matter what happensâno matter what anyone saysâyouâll always be my favorite thing.â
Luke exhales, his forehead resting against yours, his hands holding you like he never wants to let go. âYou have no idea how much I love you,â he whispers.
You smile, tilting your chin up just enough to brush your lips against his. âI think I do.âAnd when he kisses you, slow and deep, you know without a doubtâthis is it. This is home. He is home. Sequel: Jack's story

a panic challenge is busted and having to avoid the cops with dodge⊠sneaking you into his bedroom while his mom and sister sleep⊠giving you a rodeo t-shirt to sleep in⊠maybe making the first move straight away⊠or maybe going to bed and then waking up a few hours later tangled together in his bedâŠ
we were jet-set, bonnie and clyde â dodge mason x reader
warnings: SMUT(?) he never actually gets close enough but he gets.. pretty close, like cum in your pants close oops but i can do a pt2 i just kinda got confused and unsure how to really.. like do things idk and i kinda hate it but it took so much time and writing i feel bad if i scrapt it, mentions of reader living in texas obviously, reader has no real desire to win panic, whiny desperate dodge, idrk how to tag its late im tired, dayna interrupts without knowing
a/n: oh i love this actually. like actually love this. like im foaming at the mouth thinking about this actually. title from getaway car by taylor swift also, love u all and ty for the request!! đđ also sucks esp the ending but like idk im down to rewrite the ending if not continue the tangled thing! just lmk if you actually wanted it and dont be afraid to leave other requests.
Living in Carp, Texas meant that there werenât many fun things to do. You can only drive around an empty parking lot for so long before getting bored. So when the opportunity of playing Panic rises, you rise with it.
And surprisingly, you didnât immediately get eliminated. In fact â youâve somehow made it this far, round two, which.. youâre sure youâre going to fall to your death or just entirely not do it. And you were fine with that, truly. You had your fun.
Now it was time to focus on something a little bit more real â your chances of winning the pot were low, especially because of all that stuff last year, and because of Dodge Mason.
If you didnât know what determination was before that boy, you definitely did now. It was hard not to see him and not see determination, especially after the first challenge. He didnât have fear in his eyes when he did it, unlike any of the other contestants. He had something else.
You shift on the hood of the beat-up car, sighing as you look over your shoulder for any sign of your friends. It was hard to tell through the sea of people â some juniors who were eager to see the game, some graduates who refused to play, such and such.
Dodgeâs eyes roamed over to you, taking in the way you fiddled with the bracelets on your wrists and the tight, nervous expression on your face. He knew what you were thinking â he could see it in your eyes. I donât belong here.
He watched you look around for your friends and found himself wondering why you were alone. Why werenât you with them?
He seems to recognize you from the first challenge, and when you meet his gaze, he raises a hand. A small smile follows, and you canât stop yourself from smiling in return.
Something sparked in Dodgeâs chest as your lips curled into a small smile â he hadnât expected a smile in return. Nor had he expected your eyes to soften at the sight of him, or your cheeks to flush a pretty shade of pink.
Maybe he had more of a chance with you than he thought.
The sight of you smiling in return gives him just enough confidence to walk over, stopping in-front of you. It was slightly unnerving, but it felt nice. Exhilarating, even.
He smirked to himself, shoving his hands in his pockets to keep from reaching out to you â and just like that, his bravado returned.
âSo,â he started, turning his head to the side to look down at you as he leaned against the car. âHere to root for me?â
Your gaze tilts to him, and you almost laughed. âNo, Iâm here to win.â
Dodge raised an eyebrow at your response, a scoff and chuckle of disbelief slipping between his lips. He turned around, leaning his hip against the hood of the car, the smirk never wavering from his face.
âOh, really?â He said, cocking his head to the side. âYou honestly think you stand a chance against me?â
He wasnât sure where all this confidence was coming from - because if it were anyone else, he wouldâve just been nodding along with simple responses by now.
You grin. âI know so.â
He let out a hearty laugh and shook his head.
âIâm serious!â You exclaim, although, you really arenât. You planned to chicken out the second you got called on that death-trap of a beam, no way in hell are you risking your life just to possibly lose in the end.
âYeah,â he begun, but you shook your head; letting laughs fall from your lips. âNo, not really.â You grin up at him, and he acts surprised; but he kind of had a feeling from the start you wouldnât actually go through with any of this.
âNo? What do you mean, ânoâ?â He asked, crossing his arms over his chest. âYouâre backing out just like that?â
Your eyes catch on the flex of his muscles as his arms fold over his chest, before flickering back up to his face with a shrug. âI guessââ
Youâre cut off by the sound of sirens approaching, closing your eyes as you let out a frustrated exhale. Playing panic was dangerous â watching it, even.
Dodgeâs expression quickly turned serious as the sound of sirens filled the air. He immediately turned his head towards the noise, his muscles tense and eyes narrowing.
He quickly looked back over at you, silently cursing how distracted he had become from your presence. He should have been on guard â his focus needed to be on the task at hand, not on some cute girl.
âCops,â he said lowly, looking back at the police cars approaching.
âObviously,â you retort, sliding of the hood as you glance over your shoulder. There wasnât really much places to scatter to, but â
Your train of thought is cut off by his hand on your wrist, pulling you along towards a patch of woods.
Dodge moved fast, tugging on your wrist and pulling you away from the car. He quickly led you towards a patch of woods nearby, trying to put as much distance between you and the cops before they got out of their cars.
He kept his grip on your hand as you ran, his fingers wrapped firmly around your wrist. They were rough â calloused from working on the farm and years of horseback riding.
As they made it into the safety of the trees, Dodge pulled you behind a large oak, pinning you against the trunk.
He quickly retracted, internally cursing himself for doing such. âSorry, instinct,â he grumbles, although not angry towards you, god, not you.
âYou lead a lot of girls away from cops?â You quip, fighting the urge to laugh to yourself.
Dodge let out a huff of a laugh, shaking his head as he ran a hand through his hair. Adrenaline was still coursing through his veins, his heart thudding loudly in his chest.
Heâd somehow managed to pull you almost 500 yards within that span of three minutes.
âYeah, all the time,â he replied sarcastically, his smirk returning as he leaned his shoulder against the tree next to you. âYouâre the twenty-third one Iâve led this month alone.â
You roll your eyes, âHow charming.â
Dodge chuckled at your eye roll, leaning closer to you and looking down at you. His smirk widened as he pushed himself off of the tree, turning to face you fully.
âYeah, Iâm a real charmer,â he joked, crossing his arms over his chest once more. He paused then, noticing how close he was to you.
He cleared his throat before speaking again, pulling away, partially in fear of scaring you, partially in fear he couldnât stop himself from asking to kiss you. âSo, uh⊠you got a ride home or something?â
Fuck. No you did not. You hadnât actually accounted that part down â you came with your friend, who is currently nowhere to be found, if not currently in the back of a cop car.
âNo.â You huffed, narrowing your gaze as you looked at him, âI was gonna crash at Natalieâs,â You said, trying to explain your situation, which wasnât hard to understand to begin with. Came with a friend, planned to leave with a friend, currently 500 yards away from said friendâs car, canât exactly account to go home, as you told her you were going to bed three hours ago.
Dodgeâs eyebrows furrowed at your answer â not out of annoyance, but concern. He knew the cops would be searching everywhere, and you didnât have a ride home.
He thought for a moment, weighing his options. He couldnât leave you out here alone until the police left. It was too dangerous.
He let out a sigh, running a hand through his hair again before speaking. âAlright,â he said, looking down at you. âYouâre cominâ home with me, then.â
Your eyes widen, and you seem to swallow as you tilt your head forwards, perplexed. âWhat?â
Dodge raised an eyebrow at your reaction, his expression shifting to confusion. He was surprised that you seemed so shocked by his offer.
Although, he got it. You didnât know him well â not outside of school at least. You had seem him a few times, sat by him in a few classes. Thought he was cute, too, but never wouldâve admitted that.
âYou need a place to stay for the night,â he explained, his eyes locked on yours. âAnd you sure as hell canât stay here.â
He paused, eyeing you up and down before continuing. âSo youâll stay at my house. Itâs not a big deal.â
You opened your mouth to argue, but quickly snapped it shut, knowing he was right. Spending the night in the woods with the cops searching was a recipe for disaster.
Going home would be even worse.
And yet⊠spending the night at his house still stirred something within you â anxiety, excitement, curiosity â you couldnât tell.
âOkay,â You nod, eyes darting around. âYeah.â You exhale, it was for the better. You werenât gonna sleep on the side of the road, and you knew Dodge.. to an extent, enough to know heâs not gonna pull an axe on you in your sleep.
Dodgeâs face morphed into a sly grin as you agreed, his eyes sparkling with amusement. He knew he was probably going to regret this later â heâd never brought a girl to his house before, let alone a girl his mother didnât approve of.
âAtta girl,â he said, lightly patting your shoulder before shoving his hands into his pockets. âLetâs go.â
Dodge stepped away from the protective cover of the trees, gesturing for you to follow him. The coast was clear for now, but he wasnât taking any chances.
As you fell in step with him, he leaned down to your ear. âJust so you know,â he began in a low voice. âMy mom doesnât know youâre coming over. So.. donât talk too loud when we get to the house, alright?â
You cock your head to the side, a slight laugh escaping under your breath. âDoesnât know or isnât okay?â
Dodge chuckled, shaking his head as he continued walking. âBoth,â he answered, his hands still shoved in his pockets.
âShe wouldnât exactly be thrilled to have some girl sheâs never met before spend the night out of nowhere.â
You nod, wondering why heâd offer in the first place then. He couldâve left you to get in trouble with your mom, left you to get eliminated, anything else.
âIs that your car?â You tilt your head forwards, breaking the silence that fell over the two teens, eyeing a white car.
Dodge followed your gaze, looking at the car you were eyeing. He nodded, a proud smile forming on his lips. âYeah,â he said, a hint of boasting in his voice. âThatâs her.â
You find it slightly funny that heâs gendered his car.
He quickly started towards the car, reaching it within a few long strides. He pulled the passenger side door open, motioning for you to get in. âCâmon.â
You almost hesitate â but, itâs not like you have another choice â or enough self control.
You hesitated for a moment, looking at the open door before climbing inside. You settled into the leather seat, shutting the door behind you, your stomach twisting with nervousness.
Dodge walked around to the driverâs side and got in, settling into the seat and buckling his seatbelt. He twisted the key in the ignition, the engine of the car coming to life with a low, rumbling purr.
He pulled out of the field and onto the road, navigating the deserted streets skillfully. You sat in silence for a few moments, the only sound being the low hum of the engine and the occasional crunch of gravel beneath the tires.
Dodge glanced over at you out of the corner of his eye, noticing how tense and quiet you seemed. He cleared his throat, breaking the silence. âYou alright?â
You nod. âYeah, I guess itâs just..â You trailed off, unsure of how to actually describe the feeling.
It wasnât scary, but it was. You were almost excited, but you didnât know him well. Any knowledgeable person would be wary, but god, was Dodge Mason cute.
âI donât know.â
Dodge chuckled, a sympathetic scoff falling from his lips at your failed attempt at putting your feelings into words.
He could tell you were conflicted about all of this â going home with a guy you barely knew, spending the night in a home youâve never been to before⊠he didnât blame you.
He sighed, his hands gripping the steering wheel tighter. âYeah, Iâm sure this isnât how you planned to spend your night, huh?â
You scoff. âWho doesnât plan to go home with a boy they barely know after cops raid them?â
He shook his head with a grin and looked over at you again, his eyes scanning over your features. Despite the absurdity of the situation, he couldnât help the fluttery feeling in his chest as he looked at you.
You stayed silent for a moment, your eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside the car window. The night was still and quiet, only the hum of the engine breaking the silence.
âDodge?â You spoke up suddenly, your voice soft.
Dodgeâs attention immediately went to you, his eyes flickering over to glance at you. âYeah?â He responded, his tone just as quiet as yours.
You shifted in your seat, turning to face him. âCan I ask you something?â you inquired, your expression slightly serious.
Dodge raised an eyebrow, curiosity piqued by the sudden shift in your demeanor. âShoot,â he replied, keeping his eyes on the road.
You paused for a moment, collecting your thoughts before speaking. âWhy did you offer to let me stay the night?â
The question had been weighing on your mind since the moment he suggested it. You knew he wasnât exactly the most responsible or trustworthy person, yet heâd gone out of his way to offer you refuge at his home.
Dodgeâs grip tightened around the steering wheel as you asked the question. He expected it, knowing it was bound to come up eventually, but he wasnât exactly prepared to answer it fully.
The truth was simple â he found you attractive, intriguing, and he was drawn to you in a way he couldnât explain. But he wasnât going to say that out loud, not yet.
Instead, he shrugged nonchalantally. âSeemed like you needed a place to stay,â he responded, keeping his tone casual.
Your eyebrows furrowed, sensing the hint of evasion in his answer. You knew there was more to it than that, but you also knew it wasnât your place to push him for the truth â especially given your options in the current moment.
You let out a sigh, leaning back in your seat and looking out the window again. The rest of the ride passed in silence, only broken by the sound of the engine and the occasional rumble of the road beneath the tires.
After a few minutes, Dodge finally pulled into a long gravel driveway, leading up to a house. The house was modest, but well-kept. Even in the dim light, you could make out the meticulously maintained garden and the freshly painted exterior.
He shifted the car into park and killed the engine, turning to look at you. âWeâre here.â
You unbuckled your seatbelt and looked out the windshield, taking in the sight of the house. It was cozy, but not overly extravagant. It looked lived in â a home owned by a family who actually spent time here.
You let out a shaky breath, nerves starting to bubble up inside you once more. This was really happening. You were really going in there.
It wasnât like regular nerves youâd had before. Not like panic, more like when youâre hanging out with a friend youâve met for the first time â although, you technically know Dodge.
Dodge could sense the anxiety radiating from you, your nervousness evident in the way you fidgeted in your seat. He let out a low sigh, his eyes flickering over your features for a moment before speaking.
âYouâre gonna be fine,â he reassured you, his voice soft. âMy mom and sister are probably already asleep, so just stay quiet.â
You nodded, smiling. âWell, letâs go then. Iâm tired.â
Dodge returned your smile with a nod of his own, his gaze lingering on you for a moment before he turned his attention to unbuckling his seatbelt.
He pushed the driverâs side door open, the soft creak of the metal mixing with the sound of the crickets chirping in the night air. He got out of the car and shut the door, rounding the hood and opening your door for you.
You stepped out of the car, your shoes crunching on the gravel beneath them. You followed Dodge as he led the way to the front door, your eyes darting around nervously, taking in the surroundings.
He paused in front of the door and fumbled through his pockets, searching for his keys. After a moment, he fished them out and unlocked the door, pushing it open quietly.
He wasnât exactly worried about making noise - his mom usually didnât pay mind to him coming late. She figured heâd be home way later in any other circumstances, anyways.
As Dodge opened the door, a warm, inviting light spilled out from inside the house. You followed him inside, stepping into the entranceway and closing the door softly behind you.
The interior of the house was cozy and homey, with warm wood accents and comfortable furnishings. There was a sense of order and cleanliness, but it didnât feel overly stiff or overly lived-in.
Dodge gestured for you to keep your shoes on, before nodding towards a hallway. âMy roomâs down there,â he whispered, indicating the direction of a long hallway to the left of the entryway.
You followed his gaze, looking down the hallway. You could see several doors lining the sides of the hallway, presumably leading to different rooms â bathrooms, bedrooms, and the like.
You looked back at Dodge, your heart rate increasing as you realized the implication of his words. His room. Where he sleeps. Where youâll be sleeping, in close proximity to him.
Dodge noticed the look on your face, noticing the way your eyes widened slightly, betraying your thoughts. He chuckled softly, trying to ease the tension.
âRelax,â he whispered, his tone playful. âYouâll be fine. My roomâs big enough for the both of us.â
You roll your eyes, âOK, cowboy.â You step into the open door, taking in the dimly-lit room. It wasnât much. Just trophies, a wardrobe and a bed and small clutter around the room.
You liked it. You could get used to it.
Dodge chuckled at your nickname, following you into the room and shutting the door behind him. The atmosphere grew more intimate as you both entered the enclosed space, the faint smell of his cologne mingling with the scent of his laundry detergent.
He leaned against the wall, watching you look around with a slight smirk on his lips. âMake yourself comfortable,â he said, gesturing to the bed.
You donât take any convincing, and immediately flop down onto the bed, exhaling at the feel of the differing comfort in comparison to his car and old truck.
Dodge let out another chuckle as you flopped onto the bed, his eyes watching you sprawled out on his sheets. the sight amused him - you looked like a starfish on the soft material of the mattress.
He pushed away from the wall and walked across the room, sitting down on the edge of the bed next to you. âComfy?â He teased, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.
âYeah,â you hummed, a soft grin adorning your face. âalthough,â you sit up, glancing to him, âwish I wouldâve known iâd be having a sleepover. All my stuff is in Natâs car.â
Dodge chuckled, his eyes scanning over you as you sat up next to him. âWell, I didnât exactly plan for this either,â he retorted, a smirk still playing on his lips.
He thought for a moment, his gaze flicking towards the door and then back to you. âYou can borrow something to sleep in, if you want.â
You nod vicariously, laughing. âI am not sleeping in this.â
Dodge chuckled, leaning back on his arms as he looked you up and down. He took in your outfit, noting how out of place it seemed in this setting.
âYeah, itâs not exactly sleepwear,â he agreed, amusement in his voice. He hesitated for a moment, his eyes flickering over your body before he spoke again. âI got some old T-shirts you can borrow.â
He stood up, walking over to the closet, before tossing a shirt your way. It was larger, but you could tell that it was his. It smelt faintly like him, and you can make the outlines out of a cracked pattern from an old rodeo.
You smiled up at him, appreciatively. âThanks,â you said, placing the clothes down beside you. âDo you mind if I change here?â
Being caught by his sister or mom wasnât exactly a want for you right now.
âNope, go ahead,â he replied, leaning against the wall lazily. âI wonât look.â
You nodded, watching as his gaze shifts towards the closet, adjusting clothes.
You waste no time peeling the clothes off of you, pulling the T-shirt over your body as you exhale, and then pulling the old sweatpants over your body, tying them as tight as you could around your waist.
âOkay.â You said.
He quickly shook the thoughts away, clearing his throat. âYou decent?â He asked, looking over at you.
âYep.â You nod, shifting back on the bed some, âOh,â you glance away, âyou can change too, sorry.â
Dodge chuckled at your realization, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. He pushed himself off the wall and walked over to the bed, sitting down next to you again.
âDonât worry about it,â he reassured you, reaching down and grabbing the hem of his shirt. âI wasnât planning on sleeping in this, anyways.â
He pulled the fabric over his head and tossed it onto the floor, revealing his bare chest.
He knows how badly this couldâve ended - but, he was already here, and honestly the lack of sleep was beginning to make him more bold than heâd like to admit.
Your eyebrows raise, a soft laugh escaping your lips as you met his gaze.
Dodge noticed your reaction, his smirk widening as he caught your laugh. He chuckled in response, his eyes locked on yours.
âWhat?â He asked, his voice playful. âNever seen a guy shirtless before?â
You shake your head, blinking back shock. âI have,â you note, trying to pretend as if your eyes werenât raking over his body.
âJust.. wasnât expecting this.â
Her close proximity was intoxicating, the scent of her perfume filling his senses and clouding his thoughts.
He leaned in slightly, his face inches away from yours. His gaze flicked from your eyes to lips, the desire to kiss you overwhelming any logical thoughts in his mind.
"Tell me," he murmured, his voice low and rough. "Tell me you want this. Tell me to, and I will. But I need to hear you say it."
He leaned in further, his lips hovering just above yours, the gap between them practically non-existent.
"I want this," you admitted, barely audible.
Without another word, he closed the minimal gap between them, capturing your lips in a bruising kiss.
His hands moved from your cheek to grip your hips, pulling you flush against him.
But it wasn't just about physical need, you could sense. There was a sense of desperation in the way he held you, as if this moment was more than just a passing lust.
As the kiss deepened, Dodge backed you up against the bed, gently maneuvering you until you were trapped between him and the mattress.
His hands moved under your shirt, tracing a path up your bare skin, causing you to shiver against him.
Dodge trailed hot kisses down your neck and collarbone, leaving a trail of burning desire in their wake. His hands roamed over your body, worshiping every inch of your bare skin.
His mouth returned to yours, claiming your lips in a passionate embrace. He rolled his hips against you, eliciting a gasp from your lips as the friction between your bodies intensified.
With a smooth movement, he pulled away from your lips and moved to your jawline, nipping and nibbling at the sensitive skin there.
âYou have no idea,â he rasped, his voice low and ragged with desire, âhow long I've wanted to do this.â
His hands moved from your hips to your thighs, gripping the flesh hard as he shifted between your legs.
Dodge took a few moments to admire the sight of you beneath him, your face flushed and lips swollen from his kisses. He couldn't get enough of you, the way you tasted, the way you felt beneath him.
He leaned down to capture your lips again, his hands roaming further up your thighs. His fingers toyed with the waistband of the sweatpants, the thought of going further crossing his mind.
Dodge broke the kiss, panting slightly as he looked down at you again.
âGod,â he rasped, his gaze roaming over your flushed face and disheveled hair. âYouâre so damn beautiful like this.â
He leaned back down, his breath hot against your ear. âI want you,â he whispered, his voice low and rough. âAll of you. Right here. Right now.â
His lips moved to your neck, trailing hot kisses down your collarbone as his hands continued to wander over your body. His fingers dipped beneath the waistband of the sweatpants, tracing patterns against your skin.
âOkay,â You nod, âokay,â you repeat softer.
Dodge's breath hitches at your agreement, his fingers stilling. He pulls away just enough to look at you, his expression a mixture of surprise and relief.
"Yeah?" He asks, his voice slightly shaky. "You're sure?"
You nod, âIâm sure.â
Dodge's response is immediate, his mouth crashing back down onto yours in a passionate kiss. His hands move faster now, pushing down the sweatpants and discarding them onto the floor.
He positions himself back between your legs, his body pressing against yours as he kisses you hungrily. One of his thighs slides against you, causing you to gasp into the kiss.
Dodge takes advantage of your moment of surprise, his tongue slipping past your lips to explore your mouth. His hands roam over your bare thighs and hips, gripping the flesh tightly as he continues to move against you.
You can feel his hardness pressing against you, the evidence of his desire evident and urgent. He pulls away from the kiss, panting slightly, and looks down at you.
âGod,â he mutters, his voice ragged and hoarse. âYou have no idea what you do to me.â
He shifts his hips, pressing against you more purposefully. The friction between your bodies causes him to let out a guttural groan, his head dropping down to bury in your neck.
He peppers your neck with kisses, his lips and teeth leaving behind a trail of marks and bites. He continues to rock his hips against you, the friction growing more and more intense as the seconds pass.
His hands roam over your body, mapping out every dip and curve with fervor. He's almost feverish in his touch, his need for you overwhelming his rational thoughts.
"I need," he gasps, his breath warm against your skin, "I need..."
He doesn't finish his sentence, instead moving to capture your lips in another bruising kiss. His hands move to your hips, gripping them tightly as he increases the pace of his movements. The friction between your bodies is enough to send waves of pleasure through you, the feeling consuming your senses.
Dodge breaks the kiss, pulling back just enough to see your face. He takes in the sight of you, hair mussed, eyes glazed over with desire, cheeks flushed with color.
He looks wrecked himself, his breathing labored and his body taut with tension. Every muscle in his body is pulled taught, as if he's holding back from completely letting go.
His grip on your hips tightens, his fingers digging into your skin. He's on the edge, you can tell. But he's still holding back, still trying to control himself.
"I want... I need..." he pants, his words coming out in shuddering gasps. "I need to hear you say it. Tell me I can... tell me you want..."
He trails off, unable to finish his sentence. He's desperate, his need for you almost palpable in the air.
He knowâs heâs gotten your permission beforehand, but he needs to be sure.
âPlease.â You whine.
Dodge exhales a ragged breath at your response, the sound almost a moan. He leans down, pressing his forehead against yours, his body trembling with need.
"Thank god," he gasps, his voice cracking slightly. "Thank god."
He captures your lips in a desperate kiss, his tongue slipping into your mouth hungrily. His hands move from your hips to your thighs, spreading your legs further apart as he positions himself against you.
The friction between your bodies is maddening now, the pleasure building with every movement. Dodge bucks his hips against you, causing you both to moan into the kiss.
He breaks the kiss again, his breath coming in ragged gasps. "You feel so good," he whispers against your skin, his words sending shivers through your body. "So perfect, so goddamn perfect."
His hands roam over your body, touching and caressing every inch of exposed flesh. He's everywhere at once, his touch igniting sparks of pleasure that spread through your body like wildfire.
You almost whine out at the lack of contact to your body as his hands travel to his belt.
Dodge's hands fumble with his jeans, the frantic motion a clear indicator of how desperately he needs you. He pushes the material down, kicking them off the edge of the bed with a hasty movement.
He's bare now, his body exposed and vulnerable in a way he rarely lets himself be. He positions himself back between your legs, bracing himself above you.
He pauses for a moment, taking in the sight of you beneath him. You're flushed and trembling, your eyes glassy with desire. You can see his gaze flickering over your body, taking in every detail, every curve.
He leans down, capturing your lips in a passionate kiss. His hands grip your hips again, holding you in place as he rolls his own into you.
The friction between your bodies is enough to drive you both insane. Dodge lets out a guttural moan into the kiss, his grip on your hips tight enough to bruise.
He swears he could come at the sight of this alone, and he honestly might.
A rapid knock to his door stirs him out of his frenzy.
Dodge grunts in surprise, pulled out of his passionate haze by the interruption. He looks up at you, his eyes still dark with desire but confused by the sudden intrusion.
"What?" he asks, his voice slightly hoarse as he called out to his sister in the hallway. "What's wrong?"
âI canât reach the cereal above the fridge.â
He rolled his eyes, huffing as he pulled your â his, sweatpants over his body.
He raises a finger, as if telling you to wait, and you nod, but you were asleep by the time he finished helping Dana.

redesigning star dresses part 1!
part 2 and part 3
notes and individual pieces below <3
keep this in mind i love the og stardresses! i just wanted to challenge myself and iâm an inspiring fashion designer!!! my goal was to create dresses that reflect the spirits and u could easily match them up.

these were my initial sketches, i wanted every dress/outfit to have a different colour and silhouette to make them more recognisable.
aries ~
- pink was the obvious choice for a colour. I didnât want to use any major black like in the og design because aries design is so light and bright!
- i really think the og stardress hair is lacking. A fun fluffy 80s hair adds to the whole sheep aesthetic and creates a different silhouette to other designs.
- the 80s hair also inspired a more 80s look with fluffy legwarmers and big hoop earrings.
- i also wanted to bring in those pink pompoms on the side of aries dress so i made them star shaped and put them in lucyâs hair
taurus ~
- why put her in a bikini if sheâs a cowboy??? this haunts me everyday.
- I couldnât put her in mainly black and white cos thatâs virgo i comprised and landed on a brown.
- for inspiration it was pretty obvious to go with a cowboys and the wild west! i always disliked the one leg pants her og design has so i modified it to a cut out.
- her og design was a mix of the aquarius and scorpio one and it always didnât stand out to me, so i think by exaggerating the cowboy aesthetic it stands out much more.
gemini ~
- her og design is actually one my favs. so i really only made minor changes
- the colours stood out against other dresses and were easily identified as gemini. the dual colour symmetrical dress is a great way to reflect the double spirit.
- Gemini is a pretty symbol spirit so to reflect them i used circular shapes and organic lines. i changed the head piece mainly because i struggled drawing it but i realised it made the design too top heavy anyways.
- i extended the dress width and length mainly for silhouette reasons (she wears so many skin tight dresses) as well as to give a nod to the dresses the alternate geminis wear.
cancer ~
- my issue with cancer star dress isnât the dress itself. I actually love the dress in the manga. itâs the colour. WHY IS GREEN?!?
- if it werenât for the symbol i wouldnât be able to match this dress with cancers design, so it had to change.
- other than that thereâs no major differences, the ribbon tie is meant to resemble scissors, i love the claw shape hair ties in the og design so i brought them back and i brought the stripes in cancers top to her bow.
leo ~
- i was inspired by beauty and the beast, in the movie the beast kinda looks like lion.
- i swapped the yellow and black in the og design since it has a pretty similar colour story to virgos dress. The og kinda gets lost next to leo since the black doesnât have variation and leo is in a deep black too.
- i wanted to make her hair bigger like a lions mane and curled around her face.

Dating L would be like...

Death Note L Lawliet x gender neutral reader
(I'm aware that the picture says girlfriend but the gender of the reader is not specified in the fic. The pictures were also edited by me).
Fluff // One shot
Summary: L was more like a machine than a human, he was cold, calculated and a "no fun and games" type of person aside from the occasional sarcastic or dry humored comment. L never lost his composure and would repress any emotion he had as a intimidation tactic. He was blunt and wouldn't allow anything or anyone to dethrone him.
However around you, L wasn't quite that...
The task force had suspected you and L were a couple, but whenever anyone asked about it, L would quickly shut down the conversation and went back to his work, saying that it wasn't any of their business. You and L were a couple but he just wanted to keep things secretive and professional since doing otherwise made him feel vulnerable.
He couldn't let his suspect Light know how much you meant to him just in case he used it against him, plus it was just in L's nature to be serective.
However as soon the doors were closed and the task force was gone, he would be nuzzling into your shoulder, whining for attention. He would never stop clinging onto you until he got he's way because in his own words, "I'm also childish and don't like to lose".
Like today for instance:
"Not now Lolly, I've got an appointment to book", you said sighing while L continued kissing your neck and nibbling your ear from behind. "I love you but I do not appreciate your lack of cooperation" L then grumbled.
Lolly was your main pet name for L since it sounded like it was short for lollipop, (and we all know how much L loves those) and sounded similar to his real name, Lawliet. Panda was also another common one since he reminded you of one with his dark eyes and pale skin.
He then kneeled in between your legs with his head resting on your thigh, looking up at you in annoyance in an attempt to guilt trip you, (however he couldn't mask he's pleading eyes). "Lolly I already told you I'm busy, just 10 more minutes okay my love?" you cooed while stroking his cheek. But L didn't care, he picked you up bridal style from your chair and tossed you onto the bed. "Lawliet, you should know of all people how important it is to not have any distractions from your work" you said rasing an eyebrow. "You make a fair point" L says with his thumb on his lip, "But I'm not feeling very empathetic tonight" then he proceeded to smother you with kisses.
Your dates were either cafe hopping, picnics in the park, or L trying to teach you tennis. You would always try to get him to wear shoes but he would refuse, saying "I don't like how they feel". "I know but I don't want you to step on a piece of glass and hurt yourself" you would say while kissing his forehead. "I will live" L would reply while blushing from your kiss. You would then sigh and take off your shoes, "Fine, if that's how you want to play" and you both would walk around barefoot.
Another thing L wouldn't budge on is removing all the cameras and wiring taps from your room, if someone broke in and tired to hurt you he needed to know immediately who was responsible so he could toss them in jail forever. He valued your life way more than his, afterall, he did challenge Kira to kill him live on broadcast.
L absolutely loved when you taunted his number one suspect Light, in fact it was his love language.
"I'm not Kira!" Light would yell.
"You're not a very convincing actor Light, but hey! Maybe they'll give you an academy award in prison just for trying. Light Yagami! Mass murderer tries playing innocent victim!".
As a detective, L would always be analysising people's behaviour and you were no expectation.
"How was your day darling?" L cooed.
"Fine. I'm going to my room".
You say that you're fine Y/N yet you're tone and lack of physical affection would indicate otherwise. Could you be trying to deprive me of your attention as an indirect punishment? What could have I done?
However, you did mention how your work load has increased because of the lack of empyoees, were you stressed from that and simply avoided me to avoid talking about it? I should confront you instead of making any assumptions, it could make matters worse because you might believe that I am deliberately ignoring you.
"Love, I believe I have done something to upset you, please tell me what it is was so I can correct my behaviour. Will you accept this piece of cake as a initial peace offering? If I'm not to blame then please tell me who's bothering you so I can potentially sue them".

reds vs blues | always sunny is australia
pairings: sam kerr x teen!reader, chelsea wfc x teen!reader, arsenal wfc x teen!reader
summary: chelseaâs team bonding day at samâs place, so they millie take the opportunity to trying to get you the chelsea
notes: i think this is my favorite chickie story
You enjoyed routines. They made you feel safe, grounded, like you had control over at least one part of your life.
Today was an off day, which meant you could follow your usual off-day schedule with no interruptions. Wake up at 5:45 AM, brush your teeth at 5:47 AM, breakfastâtoast, eggs, and a protein shakeâ at 5:50 AM, and then a morning run and workout at 6:00 AM.
By the time you were jogging back to the house, sweat dripping down your back, you already had the rest of the day planned out in your head. After showering, you and Sam would go grocery shopping with the list Kristie had made for you both, and then you could spend the rest of the day relaxing. Routine. It was perfect.
Except when you pushed open the front door, expecting the usual peace of your home, you were instead met with a brick wall.
Except the brick wall was moving. You blinked up, heart racing, only to come face-to-face with Millie Bright.
Your body did what it always did when startledâfight or flight kicked in. And today, it was fight.
âOH HELL NO!â
Millie barely had time to react before you threw a punch. Luckilyâor maybe unluckilyâyour fist never connected because suddenly, strong arms wrapped around your waist and lifted you off the ground.
âChickie, stand down!â Sam yelled, laughing but also clearly trying to prevent an international incident.
âWHAT DO YOU MEAN âSTAND DOWNâ? THEREâS AN INTRUDER IN OUR HOUSE!â you shouted, still flailing as Sam held you back.
âMate, Iâm the intruder? You just tried to knock me out in my own teammates house?â Millie asked, looking half amused, half impressed as she rubbed her chest.
Thatâs when you finally registered the amount of people in the living room. Chelsea players. All of them.
Your eyes darted around, taking in Erin Cuthbert, Guro Reiten, ZeÄira MuĆĄoviÄ, andâoh god, why did it have to be Lauren James witnessing your public humiliation?
âWhat⊠what the hell is going on?â you breathed out, still slightly squirming in Samâs grip.
âYeah, so funny thing,â Sam said, grinning sheepishly. âI may have forgotten to tell you that the Chelsea squad was coming over for team bonding today.â
âTEAM BONDING?â you shrieked. âAND YOU DIDNâT THINK TO WARN ME?â
âI was gonna tell you!â
âWHEN?â
ââŠProbably after your run.â
âWell, you didnât!â you huffed, glaring at her. âAnd now I just tried to punch your captain in the face!â
âYou did try that,â Millie chuckled. âGotta say, fast reflexes. Respect.â
âYeah, no, Iâm gonna go curl up in a hole and never come out again,â you muttered, hiding your face in your hands.
âOh, come on, donât be embarrassed,â Erin teased. âIf anything, this just makes you an honorary Chelsea player. Half of us probably wanted to punch Millie at some point anyway.â
âWow, okay,â Millie scoffed. âThis is what I get for being nice?â
The room burst into laughter, and despite your burning embarrassment, you couldnât help but let out a small chuckle too. Sam finally let go of you, but not before ruffling your hair like you were a misbehaving puppy.
âWelcome to Chelseaâs team bonding, Chickadee,â she said, still grinning. âYouâre stuck with us now.â
You sighed dramatically. âThis is literally the worst day of my life.â
âOh, itâs only getting started,â Lauren said with a smirk. âWeâre playing Mario Kart later. Hope youâre ready.â
You groaned. Routine was officially ruined.
The Chelsea squad should have known better than to challenge you at FIFA. You were unstoppable.
One by one, they had fallen. Erin, Lauren, Niamh, Erin, Guro, all of them left shaking their heads as you cruised through every match like a seasoned pro. It had gotten to the point where they werenât even playing for fun anymore; they were playing to try and salvage what little dignity they had left.
âYouâre a menace,â Lauren muttered, tossing the controller down after yet another humiliating loss. âThis isnât even fun anymore.â
âItâs fun for me,â you said with a smug grin, stretching your arms behind your head like youâd barely broken a sweat.
âYeah, we got that,â Niamh grumbled, flopping down dramatically on the couch.
Millie, who had been watching the massacre unfold, cracked her knuckles and grabbed a controller. âAlright, move aside, amateurs. Time for the big guns.â
âOh, this should be good,â Erin snickered, nudging Guro.
âYeah, yeah, laugh it up,â Millie said, rolling her shoulders. âYouâre all just mad you couldnât get the job done. I am about to end this reign of terror.â
You snorted. âYou sure about that?â
âAbsolutely.â
Millie set up her team with the focus of someone preparing for war, but you noticed the smirk playing on her lips as she spoke again.
âSo, Chickie,â she started casually, too casually, âwhatâs your contract situation at Arsenal again?â
You narrowed your eyes, already sensing the setup. âOne-year deal.â
Millieâs smirk grew. âInteresting. Interesting. Yâknow, Chelseaâs got some open spots next season. Big club, lots of trophies, amazing facilitiesâŠâ
You rolled your eyes. âIâm a Gunner, Millie.â
She clicked her tongue. âNo, youâre currently a Gunner. You could be so much more.â
You focused on the screen, determined to ignore her as the match kicked off. But that didnât stop the entire Chelsea squad from jumping in.
âImagine playing in blue,â Lauren mused. âWouldnât that suit you so much better?â
âImagine all the assists youâd get from me,â Erin added.
âYou and Sam, back to playing together again,â Niamh sighed dreamily. âA beautiful homecoming story, really.â
âBetter wages, better teammates, better club,â Millie emphasized.
âArsenalâs literally above you in the table right now,â you shot back.
The room erupted into gasps and dramatic reactions.
âOH, SHE WENT THERE.â
âCOLD-BLOODED.â
Millie, still locked into the game, smirked. âYou donât have to answer now, but just think about it, yeah?â
You shrugged. âI am thinking about it.â Then, without breaking a sweat, you slotted a goal past her keeper and leaned back with a smug grin. âAnd my answer is still no.â
Millie groaned, raking a hand through her hair. âOi, Sam, help me out here.â
Sam, who had been lounging on the couch watching all of this unfold, just shook her head with a knowing grin. âNah, I already tried and failed. Not getting into this one. Besides, I let her make her own choices.â
Millie gawked at her. âYouâre actually useless.â
The Chelsea girls immediately turned their teasing onto Sam.
âWow, Sam, you had one job.â
âCaptain Kerr, failing her Chelsea recruitment mission?â
âEmbarrassing for you, really.â
âAlright, alright, enough,â Sam huffed, waving them off. âI donât see any of you convincing her either.â
Meanwhile, you scored again, making Millie throw her head back in despair.
âThis is rigged,â she groaned. âWeâre running this back. Best of three.â
âIâve already beaten everyone here,â you taunted. âDo you really wanna embarrass yourself further?â
Millie pointed at you. âOne more game. If I win, you have to consider Chelsea.â
You thought about it for a second before smirking. âAnd if I win?â
Millie paused. ââŠWhat do you want?â
You grinned. âYou have to record a video, in full Chelsea gear, saying London is red and post it on your story.â
The entire room exploded.
âOh my god, do it.â
âThereâs no way youâd actually agree to that.â
âMillie, your reputationâs on the line here.â
Millie exhaled deeply, staring at the screen like it had personally wronged her. Then, after a long pause, she sighed. âFine. Letâs do this.â
Two minutes later, you were up 3-0.
Millie, groaning, dropped the controller and buried her face in her hands.
âYouâre making me say London is red,â she mumbled.
âYou agreed to it,â you said cheerfully.
The Chelsea squad was howling with laughter. Sam looked like she was about to cry.
âThis is the best day of my life,â Lauren wheezed.
Millie lifted her head just enough to glare at you. âI hate you.â
You just smirked. âKeep trying, Bright. Itâs never gonna happen.â
âYou better cherish this moment because itâs never happening again,â Millie grumbled, arms crossed, glaring at your phone like it had personally wronged her.
You grinned, holding up the camera. âAlright, go on then.â
Millie inhaled deeply, like she was preparing to walk through fire. âLondon is red,â she said, voice flat, eyes dead inside.
âLouder,â you prompted, barely containing your laughter.
Millie shot you the filthiest look, but she had no choice. The entire Chelsea squad was watching, waiting, smirking. So, through gritted teeth, she repeated, âLondon is red.â
You smirked, tilting your head. âAnd what about Chelsea?â
Millie exhaled through her nose like a bull seeing red. ââŠSecond best.â
That was it. That was the moment the room exploded.
Erin was howling, clutching her stomach. Lauren collapsed onto the couch, wheezing. Guro had to lean against the wall for support.
âThis is history,â Lauren gasped, wiping fake tears from her eyes.
âYou actually made her say it,â Erin wheezed.
Guro just shook her head in disbelief. âI never thought Iâd see the day.â
Millie, still fuming, muttered something under her breath before reluctantly posting the video to her Instagram story. The moment it went live, her phone blew up.
Within seconds, Leah Williamson reposted it with a million laughing emojis and the caption: The biggest win of the season.
Beth Mead added: Millie Bright, Arsenalâs newest signing?
Alessia Russo posted it with: She really said it with her chest followed by a crying emoji.
Even Millieâs own England teammates were absolutely roasting her.
âDelete it,â Millie grumbled, burying her face in her hands.
âNope,â you chirped. âThatâs staying on the internet forever.â
She groaned, slumping forward onto the couch. âI hate you so much.â
You patted her shoulder. âI think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.â
A few hours later, the Chelsea girls invited you to lunch. After the FIFA massacre and Millieâs public humiliation, you figured you deserved a good meal. And for the most part, it was a nice, normal lunch. You were sitting next to Sam, deep in conversation about how adjusting to English seasoning was, when suddenlyâ
âSo, ChickieâŠâ
You froze. That tone. That voice. You knew exactly what was coming.
âNo,â you said immediately.
Millie frowned. âI didnât even say anything yet.â
âI know what youâre gonna say.â
Erin smirked from across the table. âWe all know what sheâs gonna say.â
Millie ignored her, leaning in with a conspiratorial smile. âListen, I just think youâd look really, really good in Chelsea blue.â
You groaned, dropping your head onto the table. âMillie, give it a restââ
âNo, hear me outââ
âNo!â
âYou, Sam, same team again, beautiful reunionââ
âMillie.â
âA club that actually wins trophiesââ
Lauren snorted into her drink.
âYou wanna get sued for slander?â you asked, raising an eyebrow.
Millie just grinned. âAll Iâm saying is, we can make this happen.â
You turned to Sam, desperate for backup. âPlease tell her to stop.â
Sam, sipping her drink casually, just shook her head. âNah. I already tried and failed. Not getting into this one.â
Millie gasped dramatically. âSam, you already had your go. Stay out of this.â
The entire table erupted into laughter.
âSam, come on man.â
âOne job, just the one.â
Sam just rolled her eyes. âYeah, yeah, whatever.â
The next day at training, you were casually chatting with Alessia, Kyra, and Vic about Millieâs relentless recruitment efforts.
âShe just wonât quit,â you sighed, shaking your head.
Kyra, nearly choking on her water, laughed. âSheâs obsessed.â
Alessia smirked. âI knew sheâd try something, but this is actually ridiculous.â
âWhatâs ridiculous?â
You turned to see Leah Williamson standing a few feet away, arms crossed, her face unreadable.
âOh, Millie keeps trying to convince me to join Chelsea,â you said casually, completely oblivious to the way Leahâs entire soul seemed to leave her body.
âShe what?!â
Kyra, Alessia, and Vic started dying on laughter. Leah on the other hand looked like she was about to have a full-blown panic attack.
You blinked at her, confused. âYeah, I told her Iâm a Gunner.â
Leah stared at you. You, standing there all innocent, all cute, completely unaware of the chaos you had just caused. Something in her snappedâ before she even knew what she was doing, she stepped forward and pressed a kiss to your forehead. âI have taught you well.â
Then, without another word, she turned on her heel and marched toward Renee.
You frowned. âUh⊠what is she doing?â
Alessia, still laughing, clapped you on the back. âOh, youâll see.â
From across the field, you could see Reneeâs eyes widen as Leah started talking. Reneeâs hands were in the air. She was pacing, looking like she was about to combust. Then, she vanished.
And when she reappeared just before lunch, she looked way too pleased with herself. She plopped down next to you on the bench and grinned. âJust a heads upâthereâll be some changes to your contract soon.â
You frowned. âWhat? Why?â
Renee just patted your shoulder like you were a clueless child, which you were. âNo need to worry about it.â
You were so confused.
By the time you got home, Kristie and Sam were waiting for you, smirking.
âUh⊠whatâs going on?â you asked warily.
Kristie leaned against the counter, looking smug. âArsenal increased your release clause.â
Your jaw dropped. âWait, what?â
Sam shrugged. âThey basically made sure Chelsea canât afford you.â
You blinked. The realization hit you like a truck. âWaitâ Leah did this?!â
Kristie and Sam burst into laughter.
You groaned, flopping onto the couch. âOh my god, Iâm never gonna hear the end of this.â
Somewhere, in another part of London, Millie Bright was probably screaming.

Night in Vegas- Lando x fem reader
Summary: Y/N had been Lando's PR, it had been messy and she moved to Red Bull, but maybe things were not as bad as she thought.
Warnings: Abusive Max (Sorry someone had to be the bad guy) smutty ending.
Notes: No hate to anyone this story just needed a villain.
___________________________________________
The moment the job offer came from Red Bull you didn't think it twice. You had been Lando's PR for the last 2 years, which was kind of a nightmare. He had the worst cases of verbal diarrhea, not that Max didn't but the paycheck was worth the extra work. Also, the interactions with Lando had always been weird and uncomfortable.
He was so nice and funny around everyone else but you, whenever it was just you two, you could hear the grass grow. In the beginning, you tried to get to know him, create somewhat of a bond so you could understand him better and work around that info, but every time you tried to get him to tell you something about him he would shut you out, keeping his answers short and dry.
And here you were, your first six months as Max PR agent were...interesting, he was a master in driving but thanks to his dad and the people around him, his public image was a challenge, a challenge you loved to work, at least you did until he started showing his real self. It began with small tantrums, mood swings when an interview had been scheduled when he had agreed to go play paddle, or that one time on a bad day when a reporter asked him about his dad's history with the law even when you had precisely warned them not to ask about any of that.
But that was all fun and games until tonight's event for the Vegas GP. Usually, the US GP's parties were a nightmare. Tons and tons of media people and influencers with little idea about F1. Yet they were important to attend because of the amount of rich people the teams craved as their lawful sponsors, so all the drivers were requested to go. This meant an awful fight with Max who hated these events where he had to "prostitute" himself for a couple of millions, it was particularly tricky now that some pictures and supposed messages showing Kelly might have been cheating, surfaced. You promised him to warn everybody that any questions about his personal life were off the table for any of the interviews, but American media cared little about that.
"Are you stupid or something?" His angry voice was so much like his dad's. Dry, hurtful, and insulting even when he wasn't using big curse words.
"Max, I told everyone personal questions were off the table. I sent a memo last week and a reminder this morning" You walked following him closely as he exited the event venue. Your heels making it difficult for you to keep his pace.
"I don't care!" He stopped and turned towards you abruptly, making you crash against his body. "If Christian gives me any shit about not being here I will make sure he knows this was all your fault" His voice loud and angry felt even more intimidating as he was towering over you, his red face so close to yours you could feel the heat radiate from it.
"But-"
"Shut it, I don't want to hear it" He spat.
"Hey, mate, easy" You both turned to look at the curled hair driver approaching at a firm pace.
"Lando, this has nothing to do with you"
"It does when you're talking like that to Y/N" He gently held your arm pulling you back, placing himself between you and Max.
"How did you deal with this shit for two years? she's the worst"
"I disagree, she's the best"
"What? Why are you defending her?" Max looked in shock from Lando's intervention, and to be honest, so were you.
"Because I know the mess you are and you talking to her like that is unacceptable and most likely uncalled for. We should've never let her go, I've begging Zak to get her back and after this, there's no way I'm letting her stay at RB"
"What the fuck? I don't...Wait, did you two ...? She must be a good fuck if you want her back so bad" A bitter laugh left his chest.
There it was, the angry verbal diarrhea.
You wanted to jump in and tell him you had never even crossed two complete phrases with Lando, how the hell were you going to fuck him? But no sound left your body, you were just a passenger in this trainwreck.
"Max, come on, It's not her fault your life's a fucking mess and that you have no idea how to deal with it. And take it from me, mate, you don't need a PR manager, you need a therapist."
"Who the fuck do you think you are?" Max took a couple of steps forward and faced Lando menacingly. He wasn't much taller than the Brit but seemed angry enough to cause damage.
"This is enough" You finally spoke, your voice shaky as you grabbed Lando's arm trying to pull him back. But he didn't move an inch.
"I'm not afraid of you mate" Lando hissed.
"Ok enough" You said in the most motherly voice ever and stepped in between them. "Lando, thanks but that's enough. You two don't want to do or say anything you'll regret later"
"See you on the track, mate" Said Lando as he took your hand and pulled you toward the parking lot.
You walked with him still in shock from the situation, expecting for him to let go of your hand as soon as you were out of sight from Max, but he kept going until he reached the Valet and gave him his ticket.
"Thanks fo that" You tried breaking the uncomfortable silence. "I think I need to go back there tho, I might not have a job tomorrow, but I don't need them to fire me because of not complying with my duties, Maybe I can find Max and convince him-"
"If they don't fire you, you're quitting" He said as he typed on his phone.
"What?! No, I can't do that, I can't afford to lose my job"
"You'll have a job"His voice was confident as he kept typing.
"Lando, I really-"
"Your car, Mr.Norris" The valet cut you off opening the passenger door for you.
"Get in" Lando walked toward the door to hold it himself.
"Lan-"
"Get in... please" He finally looked at you, something in his eyes telling you to do it. Not wanting to perform another scene now in front of the valet, you got inside the fancy McLaren. Your feet thanked you for the much-needed rest after the little sprint.
He removed his suit jacket, got in the driver's side, and drove off.
"I swear, you're not going to be jobless, you can stop with the bouncy leg" A hint of a laugh in his voice. Of course, he could laugh about it, he was worth millions, if he lost his job that same night, he'd have enough money to live comfortably for two lives.
Your phone started ringing in your bag. Chirstian's face on your screen made your heart beat a thousand miles. You could almost hear him, his calm yet angry voice made your skin crawl.
"Don't answer him, there's no need"
"Lando, you don't get it, it's not that simple"
A ding on his phone and a pop-up notification on his console screen called your attention.
Zak: Fine, I'm ok with it, we can talk details tomorrow.
"See?" He said smiling at the notification. You stared at him confused.
"I promised him I would behave my best for the rest of my contract if they took you back. Welcome back to Mclaren" A big smile on his face. It was odd being on the receiving end of that smile.
"Sadly, you won't be working with me. You will be part of the team's PR, I think that's an even bigger paycheck, tho"
"Ok, stop stop stop" Your voice filled with slight panic. "What the fuck's happening?"
"Wow, your first bad word" He was way too entertained with the situation.
"That you know of" Your facade was off, screw being professional, this moment was a moment for panic.
Christian's number shined on your screen again.
"Hello" You finally answered.
"Y/N, I just got a thousand messages from Max, and from the team at the event, what's going on?"
"Christian, Max lost it after some journalist asked him about Kelly, I had clearly said no questions about that were allowed"
"You should not have left Max to leave the party, we need him back there"
"I tried to stop him but-"
"No buts, Y/n, that's your job"
"No"
"What?"
"No, that's not my job, I'm not a babysitter, I'm a PR agent, I should not be dealing with tantrums and the equivalent of being spit in the face by an angry baby just because he's Max Verstappen"
You took a deep breath as the man on the other side of the phone kept quiet. Netflix would kill to have footage of this situation.
"I quit" You finally said
"What?" His high-pitched voice told you he was as surprised as you by the words leaving your mouth. You turned to look a Lando, he had the biggest smile on his face.
"I quit, Christian. I can stop by to sign my resignation tomorrow."
"But-"
"I'm sorry but I have to go now. I will stop by your office tomorrow to sign whatever is needed and to return my credentials. Have a good night" You hung up with shaky hands. As much as you sounded confident you were screaming inside.
"Nice" Lando's accent so thick.
"Oh my God" You placed your head between your legs and took deep breaths, trying not to faint.
"It's ok, it will all be ok" You felt his hand run softly up and down your back which felt weirdly soothing and calming.
You finally felt calm enough to lift your head, realizing he had pulled over at a truck stop next to the highway.
"What the fuck just happened?" You closed your eyes, the world felt as if it was spinning out of orbit.
"It will be ok, you were amazing"
"I will regret this tomorrow"
"I could help you with that" he said under his breath, you barely catching his words.
"What?"
"Never mind. Listen, you'll be fine, you'll join the team for the next season, and you can take this time as a well-deserved vacation"
"What are you talking about? Maybe Zak only told you that so you would stop bothering him. I can't wait until the next season. Oh my God, I need to call Christian back, if I apologize and explain that I was drunk or something he might not fire me" you said as you fumbled with your phone trying to get your shaky hands to get your calls.
"Stop, no, Y/n" In a swift move, Lando took your phone from your hand.
"Give it back! This is all your fault!"
"What?!"
"If you had stayed out of this I might have convinced Max to go back to the party and none of this had happened" You said as you almost jumped over him to get your phone back as he moved his hand around keeping you away from it.
"Oh c'mon, you wouldn't have lasted two more weeks with his annoying ass, I love Max but he's a pain" He sounded way too entertained by all this.
"Lando, stop it! Give me back my phone!"
"No, you have to calm down"
"No, give it back" you were almost kneeling over the seat.
"Y/n, stop"
"No"
"Y/n!"
"NO, GIVE IT-" Before you could finish your sentence his free hand grabbed you from your neck and pulled you toward him, his lips crashed into yours, finally getting you to stop moving. You even stopped breathing.
After a couple of seconds or hours, you weren't sure anymore, he let go of the fist he had formed around your hair and pulled back. His cheeks flushed as if he had been the one who had gotten kissed out of nowhere.
"Have I been drugged? Am I hallucinating? This has to be a weird trip"
His particular laugh sent chills down your spine.
"C'mon, it wasn't my best job but I'm not used to kissing people as they're having a panic attack, I needed you to calm down"
"And kissing me was the best you could come up with?"
"You're not thinking about your phone or Christian anymore, are you?"
"You're sick"
"Listen, I'm sorry I did it like that, ok? I stepped over a boundary and I apologize, but I know that after this you might hate me for the rest of your life and this seemed like the only moment I was going to be able to do it, so I'm sorry but not really"
"You can't go around kissing people just because"
"I didn't do it just because"
"What?"
"Y/N, I'm fucking in love with you!" He screamed.
"What?" Your voice is barely a whisper
"I'm sorry, I was dumb ok?"
"I'm not getting any of this"
"Ok, I'll explain. It took me about 2 months to fall head over heels for you, ok? You're smart, incredibly beautiful, funny, and so good at your job, it was hard not to fall in love with you. But I know I can be an asshole, so trying to stay away from you and not ruin everything I behaved like an even bigger asshole, pushing you away and into Red Bull's arms. So as an apology, I've been having talks with Zak. this has been going on for months. So no this just didn't come up, Max just made it easier for me to set the plan in motion"
You stared at his proud face in awe.
"Are you breathing?" He asked when not. single sound had left your body for a long time.
"You're in love with me?"
"Um yeah" He blushed and almost looked away but he didn't.
"For the two years we worked together, you were in love with me?"
"Yeah, basically"
"You have a shitty way of showing love"
"Sorry" he laughed under his breath
"You're nuts"
"I know" As soon as he saw you had calmed down he stretched his hand softly caressing your cheek. "I'm nuts for you"
"Ew, don't"
He laughed, the sound making you feel something new.
"I don't know"
"What?"
"What's going on"
"Maybe another kiss might help? I'm actually asking this time"
"Ok" You answered in a low whisper.
"Ok" He softly whispered as he took you by the neck, and pulled you toward him. It was a mutual kiss now, your lips dancing with his. His tongue traced your lips and they parted allowing your tongue to start a fight with his.
The kiss heated up as his other hand grabbed your hips and pulled you over him. Your ass pressed on the horn startling both of you and making you laugh, but quickly you returned to your make-out session.
His hand shily traveled down your spine and stopped over the soft satin fabric covering your ass. You knew exactly what he was trying to test, so you moved yours down his chest, feeling his racing heart, and traveled down all the way to his pants. You could feel his growing bulge and gave it a squeeze. He moaned deeply and gave a slap to your ass, making you moan too.
You were about to unbuckle his belt but his hand landed over yours.
"Wait, do you actually want to do this?" he asked out of breath.
"Yes" Your voice shaky from the excitement.
"Are you sure? I don't want to force you or-"
"Lando, I want you to fuck me"
Your words sent an electric shock through his body, you could even feel his dick twitch under your hand.
"I'm all yours" He smiled and moved his lips to your neck, you threw your head back giving him space to explore it and its sensitive areas. He gave soft bites around it, as he stretched to the glove compartment getting a condom out of it.
"You're a manwhore"
"I was just manifesting this"
"Sure" you answered squinting your eyes.
"I promise, You can ask Oscar, I've not had sex for months"
"I don't need to know that"
"Yeah you do, I swear I wasn't going to use this with anyone else, I promise"
He was most likely lying, but you decided to believe him, at least for tonight.
"Fine" You said as you took the condom from his hand and opened it as your lips went back to his.
He helped you by pulling down his pants and his boxers enough for his throbbing cock to spring out and slap his stomach.
"Hello Mr. Norris" You said with a cheeky smile
"Don't act so surprised"
"Sorry"
He now took the hem of your dark blue dress and pulled it over your hips, softly caressing the soft flesh of your thighs and ass. He moaned at the feeling of no underwear under it.
"You're naughty"
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me"
"I love it" He said and bit your lower lip as he placed you over his hard cock. You took the condom and without breaking the kiss you rolled it over his dick, enjoying the feeling of the heat and the veins that ran through it.
He couldn't wait any longer and as soon as he felt the condom in place he lifted his hips entering you in one deep thrust making you moan loudly from the incredible feeling of being so full.
"Fuck, Lando" you said as he started thrusting. A slow yet hard pace made your eyes roll to the back of your head, as he held you one hand by the neck the other one caressing your ass.
"Fuck, you're so fucking perfect" He moaned against your tits that were spilling out your dress.
He took one of your nipples in his mouth, pushing you closer to your release.
You had forgotten when was the last time you had sex, but none of your previous experiences could compare to this one. Lando being a manwhore was quite a benefit.
His hips hitting against yours at such a perfect pace was driving you crazy. He could tell by the way you were pulsing around him that you were close. This was probably a record and he was going to savor it.
He brought one of his hands down to your clit and just a couple of circles helped by how wet you were pushed you over the edge, loudly moaning his name in his ear. That sweet sound looped in his brain, making him reach his climax shortly after.
"Fuck" he finally said after you two had reached a decent breathing pace.
"Shit"
"Fourth curse word of the night"
"Shut it" You said as you pushed yourself off his chest and kissed him.
"I'm going to love having you around again"
"Me too"
"Well, Max was right about one thing" A cheeky grin on his face.
"What?"
"You're such a good fuck"
"You're a dick" You slapped his chest as he pulled you back to kiss him.
This was probably going to be a mess, but at least for a couple of months you were unemployed and free to date whoever you wanted, that included F1 drivers who would probably be off limits once your contract started, but that was a problem for your versions of the future.

unexpected play | jh86
requests are open
summary: youâre a focused, no-nonsense junior trying to survive midterms, and Jack Hughes is the golden boyâthe kind of chaos youâve always avoided.
The door hit something.
Correction: someone.
You blinked, mid-coffee crash and Red Bull high, and found none other than Jack Hughesâfrat boy legend, hockey team captain, and campus golden boyâclutching his forehead.
âOh my god,â you blurted, your carefully color-coded flashcards exploding across the floor. âI didnât seeâare you okay?â
Jack was grinning, leaning against the doorframe with a hand dramatically pressed to his temple. âThatâs one way to say hi.â
âIâm serious! I didnât mean toââ
âYou decked me with a library door,â he said, biting back a laugh. âYouâve got a hell of an arm.â
You stared at him, mouth parted. He was too chipper for someone whoâd just been clocked with industrial-grade glass.
âI was trying to escape midterms, not commit assault,â you muttered, crouching to gather your flashcards. âAre you actually okay?â
âIâve taken worse hits on the ice,â he said, brushing off his hoodie. âAt least this one came with an apology.â
Of course he made a hockey joke.
Youâd crossed paths with Jack Hughes exactly three times:
1. Once when he spilled beer on your tote bag at a party your roommate dragged you to.
2. Once when he asked to borrow your notes for a class he definitely didnât attend.
3. And once when you told himâfirmlyâthat you werenât interested in being another name on a list of flings or a prop in someoneâs post-game photo.
Heâd laughed. You hadnât.
Now, though, he just watched you as you reassembled your academic chaos.
âCramming hard?â he asked, nudging one of your flashcards with the toe of his Nike. âOr just really passionate about brain anatomy?â
âNeuroscience. And yes, Iâm cramming. Unlike you, I canât rely on being good at skating and charming professors to pass.â
âOof.â He clutched his chest. âThat one hurt worse than the door.â
You looked up at him. He was in joggers and a hoodie thatâs logo resembled his fratâs, hair mussed, a dimple peeking from his grin like it had its own agenda.
âIâm not your type,â you said flatly, mostly to shut him down.
Jack tilted his head. âWhatâs my type, then?â
âAnyone who thinks your snapback is a personality trait.â
He laughed. A real one. Loud, surprised, and stupidly infectious.
âOkay, fair,â he said. âBut maybe Iâm branching out.â
You arched a brow. âWhy would you want to branch out?â
He handed you a flashcard, his fingers brushing yours. âBecause I think youâre more fun than you pretend to be.â
You werenât sure why you came. Maybe it was curiosity. Maybe it was the way Jack had looked at youânot like you were another challenge to win, but like he genuinely meant what he said.
You wore jeans and a cozy sweater. You brought your roommate, who beelined to the dance floor in less than sixty seconds. And you stood on the edge of the crowd, clutching a LaCroix, wondering if this was a mistake.
Then Jack spotted you.
His face lit up. He pushed past a couple of guys and crossed the room with ease, like it was the most natural thing in the world that youâyouâwere there.
âYou actually came,â he said, half in disbelief, half impressed.
You shrugged. âMight as well see what all the noise is about.â
He handed you a red solo cup. âNo pressure. But I make a mean vodka lemonade.â
You sniffed it. âThis smells like a regret hangover.â
He laughed. âYouâre brutal.â
âIâm honest.â
âEven better.â
You didnât mean to stay long. You definitely didnât mean to end up outside on the porch, sitting beside him on a rickety bench, talking about everything from your favorite sci-fi books to the weird comfort of academic burnout playlists.
He told you he wasnât always this chill. That he puts a ton of pressure on himself to be the guy everyone expects. That the frat stuff was fun, yeah, but also exhausting sometimes. That he misses home. That he doesnât get taken seriously by half his professors, and that heâs kind of used to girls not really seeing himâjust the version of him they want to say they hooked up with.
And for the first time, you saw him.
Not as a frat boy or a jock. But as a person.
He took off his hoodie without a word when the wind picked up and wrapped it around your shoulders.
It smelled like laundry detergent and a little like cologne, and you hated how warm it made you feel.
âYou still think Iâm not your type?â he asked, voice quiet under the string lights.
You looked at himâhis earnest expression, the nerves hidden behind his smile, the way he was really tryingâand let out a breath.
âI think youâre more complicated than I thought.â
âIs that a good thing?â
You smiled, for real this time. âI think it might be.â
