About the teddy lupin hc with his teeth- yes! He would most likely mess up his teeth worse then they already were so Andromeda had to get him braces despite his protests and begging. After being straped to the chair and wearing them for like 2 years his tooth gap was still there SO HE DID ALL THAT FOR NOTHING. (biggest L he's ever taken)

Lilly wears lots of colorful and wacky earrings just like aunt luna. They probably trade pairs or something.

James sirius is really into cinema especially horror. He loves being scared and most of the time he just laughs at the jumpscares. I also feel like he has written entire analysis in his head on the things he's fixated on but doesn't have the energy to write them down so he just rants about his favorite stuff to his family.

Victoire was the one making moves on teddy not the other way around. This made bills distaste for teddy even worse cause he wasn't even the one doing anything 🙄

Albus's room is filled with action figures, stuffed animals, posters ect of all the stuff he enjoys. Like people always talk about how much of a loser scorpius is but not so much albus. Trust me though he goes to bed reading fanfiction and was most definitely "the weird kid" at school. Probably grew up watching markiplier and jacksepticeye.

Teddy gives me those vibes where every time something happens teddy just goes "don't worry, I know a guy" and proceeds to fix the problem.

Victoire is really close to her maternal grandpa because everyone on the weasley family had lost stuff to the war including her parents so her grandfather was 1 of the only people in her family that didn't have any tragedy on her birthday so he was one of the few people who celebrated it without any sadness about the day. Then later teddy did as well.

Albus likes to draw and several pages of his sketch book is dedicated to just scorpius.

So when it comes to scorpius's appearance I kinda wrestled with it because on one hand there's no way he's not attractive because his mother is Astoria. Not even draco too just Astoria is enough to make that kid divine looking but if he was super pretty then there's no way he wouldn't be asked out even if it was just for shallow reasons. So in my head he is pretty but looks like a corpse. He has eye bags, beauty marks all over his body he's pale and skinny too so he doesn't look human. Albus of course thinks he looks like a sculpture but others think he looks uncanny.

Teddy loved being in the woods/forest cause he loved running around and getting all that energy out. Probably met a old man named Charles who taught him how to fish and scavenge or something. Nobody knew teddy was being fr when he talked about Charles because Charles was probably some urban legend. He was being real though.

LitG S8 Max Route

Vol. I-V Ep. 1-15

I chose Jack to couple up with because Oakley can’t take a joke about being a fireman… sorry but it is hot. In both senses of the word 😅 sorry not sorry! But also Jack liking dogs and gardening was such a great initial common interest thing to go on.

Sophie/Jack & Luna/Jin are replaceable after you pick your guy. Whichever couple stays are buttheads to you.

Jack is ok, but more serious than I thought he would be. I miss Jin’s humor so much. I have to say that even with most of the same dialogue choices/banter between us, there is no spark. Which does makes me going full on for Max an easier decision.

Vol. VI Ep. 16-18

Again I did not flirt at all with Hari, but I did pick the options for saying I missed Jack so it pretty much went the same. I’m really just plugging along until Casa… which is next 😆

Vol. VII Ep. 19-21

CASA TIME!! I am choosing all the gem options to get with Max. ALL OF THEM! Bring it on!

E19: Straight away, the fill in the blank game gem option I picked was the “smooch a boy” and wow what a smooch it was! Choosing to share a bed with Max was such a good choice too. He is so flirty and cute! Telling me what he likes was sexy and I agree with them 😏

E20: ooh raunchy races! And this time I actually kissed the others (except Liam cuz I have standards lol) and I did the gem option to win and had another epic smooch with Max 😘

E21: Winners party was fun. The sipping game was fun and the gem selection scene was incredible if you kept flirting *chef’s kiss* Loved sitting with Max and talking and getting to know each other more. He is so flirty and I love it. Slept with him again and did bits with him that night. Worth it! He’s amazing! 😏

Vol. VIII Ep. 22-24

E22: This is where I started to fall for Max in my first playthrough (w/o any diamond scenes & then I started replaying for his), but getting to keep the previous options and choosing the new one was even better. He just gave serious butterflies during the date. Telling about the smile lines, going over the “words” on MC, cuddling in his arms, sweet story of him paying for a girlfriend’s parents to visit even though he was saving, playing with her hair. Ugh my heart! I’m so smitten with him 🥴

E23: We smashed it at the Mr & Mrs game! And I loved all the flirty things we did and said to each other during. More annoyed when Luna took Max. Definitely called her out this time for picking him.

E24: Last night at Casa. Yay! Obviously spent the night with Max and I think it was even better since I got to have all the earlier moments with him too. And hearing him recap them all the next morning and how mushy he was about them all was sweet. He’s just perfect 🫠

Vol. IX Ep. 25-27

E25: This is a short episode. Most compatible with Max of course! Yuck to Liam. Pushed him in the pool again 😜

E26: Brought Max back and walked in holding hands. Sorry Jack. Told Max I’m into him. Obvs! Didn’t argue with Sienna when she wanted to steal Jack. Go right ahead.

E27: Pool party was much less awkward since I’m focused on Max and don’t care what Sienna does. Liam’s question and Luna’s deflection ruined the mood of course. Then Jack asked me that very important question about cracking on in casa…

E28: I started this episode off with a big old LIE - told Jack I did nothing at Casa (for reasons that pay off later) Snogged and married Max! Pied Liam cuz who else is worth this one?! And then I sexily pied Max with the extra pie. Yum 😜

E29: Ahhh couple drama! Everyone lying to their partners about Casa stuff. So messy… So glad I’m with Max because we are golden!!

E30: Couple Goals 2.0 was fine. Pretty much the same results except Max and I got voted most likely to marry this time and I’ll take it! And the terrace scene… holy moly Batman 🔥 I loved it and didn’t have to feel bad because he’s my couple and the one I want 😍

Vol. IX Ep. 31-33

E31: MOVIE NIGHT!!! woohoo drama!! Max’s two scenes were so sweet I almost got a toothache 🥰 I have to say that I actually kept the secrets this time around because I wanted to see everything unfold at movie night which was fine… Until we got to mine and holy shit did FB go all out with what they showed! 🫣

E32: Boys choice recoupling and this is why I lied to Jack… he does not pick me because of that lie - which does kill me inside, but I want Max. Only Max. And again, the only time I will thank Liam for anything - so glad he got cream all over us so we could have another amazing spicy scene 🥵

E33: The scene is much funnier with Sienna if you’re coupled with Max because she really thinks we care if she tells Jack?? Like ok whatever floats your boat honey! 🤣 The heart rate challenge is all good this way too. Sienna can have Jack all she wants and she stays away from Max! But OMG Jack’s superhero outfit is so bad 😂 like how could they do that do him?!

When Jin said his dream was to run in a marathon and wanted MC to join him, I almost died. My friend has been trying to get me run with her for over a year but I would rather go on a date with Liam than run anywhere 🤣 BUT Max wanting to go to a concert in the outdoor amphitheater in the mountains of Colorado?? Count me the fuck in 😅 I googled it and it looks awesome!

I don't understand why people say that Miguel is a substitute for Rafael Luna, or that he's a new invented character. I thought he was the guy that in the book had sex with June a year ago and now thinks he's entitled to ask her about her family's stuff every time he wants. We first know about him after Rafael's change of sides become public. And then again when the photos of Henry and Alex at the hotel come out. He seems the same type of journalist as portrayed by Miguel: "hey, we had something in the past, so now you owe me". Obviously, in the movie there's no June, so the journalist stalks her brother instead.

Also, as much as I prefer Richards' campaign being the one that leaks the mails, that being done by an ambitious journalist also makes sense. We're supposed to hate the guy, and we hate him, so I think that's a win for both the actor and the director.

And, yeah, the fact that he's also gay makes the whole thing much impactful. He's not only betraying Alex, he's also betraying himself. He's ruthless, but not in a good way. Also, I'm pretty sure he didn't like Alex as much as he pretended, he just wanted to squeeze as much as he could get from him. Flirting was just a tool to get his goal. A means to an end, so to speak.

I think it would have been nice to get a news report or something about Miguel being investigated for hacking the White House or something. After all, he had done it before, getting ahold of Alex's Texas memo the first time. Then he sees him with Henry at the hotel, and he's not jealous, he's interested. So he hacks Alex again and finds the pot of gold: his mails with Henry. And he does the same thing he did before, he makes them public.

Anyway, I don't know what point I was trying to make, but I'm sure there is a point... lost somewhere there between all those words I wrote. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Jackass entry: Themes and motifs of anyyytthing ive watched with another person or saw, and like they also know it. I realllly like, visual theming and narrative shorthands. Anything that breaks like, maybe people in this setting dont have the same customs, but their gonna do something so you the audience can recognize it. Non literal/accurate use of colour and lighting, for mood and clarity. Breaking the physical shape and scale of things so they can appear and be readable on screen. COSTUMING COSTUMING COSTUMING. A well styled character can do soooo much for your understanding of a work, especially with large casts, and a poorly styled one can take me right out. Well. anyway. yes i love animation u all knew that.

Which character do you think had the most potential in the Harry Potter series and do you plan on implementing any of your ideas into them?

If DSMSG Draco was locked in a room with Umbridge, Lockhart, and Voldemort and had a gun with two bullets, who would he choose to shoot?(totally not stolen from The Office)

I think you may or may have not mentioned this earlier and feel free to ignore this question if it’s a spoiler, but when does Harry begin having feelings for Draco/act on them?

In terms of potential, I'm not quite sure. My first thought was Draco (Duh) mostly because I wish so badly that they kept the scene in the final movie where he threw his wand to Harry. That alone would probably do so much for his character, and I am very likely going to do something with it in the fic. Plus the whole really weird hug with Voldy thing, kinda seems like Voldy is trying to have a relationship with him that parallels Harry and Dumbledore's. Anyway, Draco's SO uncomfortable all the time in 7th, it makes me very excited to get to it :) I also think Narcissa is pretty interesting since she kinda parallels Lily, and the fact she lied to the Dark Lord TO HIS FACE and protected Harry...I know I make Narcissa out to be just a very overbearing mother (and bad cook) but I hope to make Draco see the other sides to her later on, when he gets his head out of his ass. For now, she's sort of just comic relief, but there are some things set up in the very first years that will come back in the later years.

(also i REALLY need to add neville in some more--thematically he's super important, but he just doesn't get that much screen time yet. I'll have to think more about how to integrate him, but definitely he will appear more in 3rd w/ other characters. Other characters I plan to include are Cedric, Luna, maybe Cho? Marietta, probably, for the whole traitor thing in the 5th book, and ofc Pansy and Zabini, though those two are the flattest in the books so I'm gonna have to make up a lot of stuff lol. gotta add in sirius obvs [he's actually my favorite, which was why he was not-malfoy's fave in the old version], and remus [also we gotta discuss the werewolf in the room, with the whole snape prank thing...])

Draco would probably blackmail Lockhart into taking the gun and shooting Umbridge twice. He isn't stupid enough to try to kill Voldemort with a gun (are the horcruxes around in this hypothetical?also Voldy lived in like. WWII? Although he's ignorant of love magic stuff, he is probably deeply aware of the dangers of Muggle weapons, which maybe relates to his desire to conquer them) but Draco would love Umbridge dead, and he'd want more blackmail on Lockhart lol. The man's main fear is losing his reputation so that's probably a better punishment than death. If it's sixth year Draco he might just shoot himself though

I have mentioned that Draco doesn't want to date as a minor or date minors even if physically the same age due to the weird age gap/time question thing (a really big issue in isekai/transmigration imo, and the bit of this fic that makes me want to just make it platonic--seriously. I read one where this grown man DATED A SEVEN YEAR OLD B/C HE WAS IN A CHILD'S BODY??) but Harry will obviously not be thinking about that since for all he knows, they're both normal kids. You can probably safely assume he starts thinking of romance at the same time as in the books, though obviously his friendship w/ Draco and the whole "it's the nineties and I think I'm gay?!" thing would make him not as proactive about it for a while

I wrote about an established relationship where character A wanted to give character B a gift. A asks B’s bff what to give him. Bff tells A to give B a rock. A proceeds to spend the day meticulously picking out a rock to give to B. A later presents this perfectly picked out rock to B, and B loves this little gift. This story oddly resonated with a lot of people in my old fandom lol. Moral of the story? People love rocks. Give your friends rocks. They will love you.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom?

About a decade? I started watching Pokémon for as long as I can remember (still love it!), but I fell out of the fandom when my parents stopped paying for cable.

G - Have you ever had an OTP? If so, do you remember your first one? Who was in it?

Zutara. Zuko and Katara were everything to me. Fire and water? Their antagonistic relationship? There was so much tension there. It just made sense to me.

The first half of my life was dedicated to TV shows (when I had cable). The rest of my life is dedicated to printed material (books, manga, comics, etc).

No. I only joined this platform about two months ago. I haven’t come across any negativity on this side of tumblr.

Q - A fandom you’ve abandoned and why.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that I’ve abandoned any fandoms, just outgrew them (show finished), left due to circumstances (no more cable or show on hiatus), or lack of inspiration to continue writing. It feels wrong to say “abandoned” because I still love these fandoms and would still go back to consume their content. I’m just not actively involved anymore.

The Leventis/Levantis twins (in my own personal interpretation of them). I have a sibling so I’ve mostly based their interactions on my own. The kind of relationship where you annoy each other but love each other fiercely.

I think that Seiji would own a dog.

Also!! Headcanon that Seiji runs warm and Nicholas has wonky blood circulation which leads to wearing tank tops and shorts in the winter but hoodies and sweatpants in the summer.

Seiji is a dog person.

Reese from Scarlet Hollow - I yearn for starving artists. And he likes horror movies? Score! He’s also a little shy but also very cute. 10/10 would romance again.

Sebastian from Stardew Valley - Quiet loner that enjoys tabletop games similar to D&D? And he rides a motorcycle? Brb swooning at his feet.

In Fence? Nate Spencer. I was originally going to say Nicholas but after further evaluation I realize that I am in fact Nate. The kind of person that brightens up the room but also tends to gravitate to one person in particular despite getting constantly ignored (Aiden sksks).

I’m surprised by the lack of rarepairs in Fence. There’s so much potential with the amount of characters that have been introduced so far, but I guess I can see why. Nichoji are just so throughly entwined with each other it’s almost impossible to envision them with anybody else. Other than that, I would gander that there’s more interest in the main ships than exploring newer characters and even newer relationships. (I aim to change that though, a new rarepair is on the horizon!! Hopefully by Valentine’s day 👀💘)

I’m also rather surprised by how active this fandom is despite the small size of it. It’s nice and cozy here though and I like that.

This fandom is actually making me want to try drawing again. Just speaking out to the void here lol. I was pretty decent at drawing chibis when I was younger. Blushing Nicholas here I come… ✍️♥️✨

My Sleep Paralysis Experience From Last Night

Hello, guys! Back with another post! Today, I'll be talking about my sleep paralysis experience from last night! Also how I did it! Stay tuned!

What Happened

So, last night, I decided I wanted to have sleep paralysis since I got it a lot when I was younger. I lay on my back, and then almost fell asleep. But then I turned on my side. The reason why was that I was kind of scared to get sleep paralysis so I told myself that I would do it next time. I wasn't rushing anything, and I wanted to just sleep.

But then in my sleep, I turned on my back again. I ended up having a weird but really fun dream (read pink highlights below to read my dream experience) After the dream, I realized that I couldn't move. I was a little freaked out, and for some reason, I was still experiencing the dream while I was awake. I decided to affirm for the void but I got too scared and woke up from the paralysis state.

Honestly, I am not judging the way anyone does stuff, but you really don't need subliminals, affirmation tapes, or any of that stuff, or to set alarms for no reason, you really just need intention. Like I was scared to get into sleep paralysis, but I still had that intention too.

It's very easy and I NEVER see demons in that state, it can be scary but it's pretty relaxing!

I'm going to try again in a few days, It is winter break where I am so I'll have more time. I don't sleep on my back often, and sleeping on your back actually causes sleep paralysis. but anyways, that was a fun experience!

The Fun Dream

So in my dream, I was at my house, and my favorite movie characters were in the dream. They were from Harry Potter (Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, and Draco) and in this dream, a robber broke into our house. I had ice and water powers in this dream, so I threatened to drown the robber if he didn't tell us the truth. Harry tied up the robber on a chair, and water shot out of my hands. I then ended up using my ice powers and that froze and killed him. Then, I was so mad at my dad (I was 15 in the dream, and I'm not even 15 IRL) I was so mad at him that I drove his car and crashed it. And my cousin was in the passenger seat. We got out of the car and then, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Draco and I got locked up in PRISON. Draco got on his broomstick, used his wand, and we all escaped. Then the dream ended. After that, I had a dream about my BFF. It was so weird.

Honestly, dreams are so fun and random! Like you have no choice but to experience it LMAO!

E. Forcas headcanons

E. is the drummer of the band.

He's got big hands with very prominent veins.

Surprisingly quiet. Not just compared to the others, but in general.

He doesn't really speak much unless he needs to speak up for someone else.

He's not exactly affectionate, but he enjoys being touched.

He won't hug anyone unless asked. Someone else has to initiate the affection.

He really likes holding hands with people. Or when they lean against him. He does need time before hugs, though.

Unless it's G. He's always ready for G.'s hugs and always accepts them.

He's been friends with G. since they were kids. E. was the quiet weird kid that freaked people out and G. was the overly sensitive weird kid that everyone would bully until E. stood up for him one day.

Since then, G.'s just been around E., who simply accepted the clingy new friend.

His resting face is absolutely murderous, he has to put actual effort in keeping his expression neutral.

He often gets anxious before concerts and only G. is capable of calming down.

Doesn't like washing his hair due to trauma from his youth. G. does it for him.

While he doesn't talk much, he shows that he cares in different ways.

He carries around a bag with snacks, drinks, basic meds (painkillers, bandaids, this sort of thing) and different stress toys. Always has some pads and tampons in it as well (for DD).

Somehow he always knows what the otherss need, even if they don't mention it out loud. He just randomly hands them a snack or a drink when they need it.

He really enjoys Rubik's cubes, even if he's not the best at them. He'll solve them, but he's not some sort of expert.

Whenever he's done with solving one, he hands it to one of the bandmates so they mess it up for him to solve again. It helps him relax.

Enjoys Infinity cubes too. Mostly when he's anxious. Uses them as sort of warm-up for the drums.

G. gets him a new fancy Infinity cube for his birthdays.

While the members of Repugnant share most of their clothes aside from a few favorite things (for example the shirt Mary usually wears for performances), E.'s clothes are off-limits unless given permission. He doesn't like his things taken away, also due to trauma. Others respect that and always ask if it's fine to take his stuff. He has to give it to them personally, though.

He has the most comfortable hoodies and sweatshirts, but they're all grey and completely bland. He lets others wear them if he notices them getting uncomfortable.

He usually chills in the corner, not really taking part in most conversations. He's not being excluded, of course, it's just how he prefers it and as much as the members of Repugnant enjoy "bullying" each other, they absolutely respect his space.

He doesn't like talking about his feelings, so he just makes quiet stimming noises whenever he experiences stronger emotions. The noise he makes is different depending on what he's feeling.

He doesn't like too much attention in general. Relies heavily on G. to help him stay calm.

He likes dogs a lot. Expecially small ones. G. is usually the one asking if he can pet it, though.

G. and E. were each other's first sexual partners.

He's a total service top. Stays quiet during sex, too. Completely focused on his partner's pleasure.

The only time he initiates cuddles is during aftercare, after he's already cleaned up his partner and got them a snack and a drink.

He's gonna be just as awkward about affection afterwards, though.

He's the type of person to talk to the waiter when something's wrong with someone else's food, but he wouldn't say anything if he got a completely different dish from what he ordered.

The only Repugnant member to regularly tie his hair, usually keeping it in a loose ponytail.

Lets G. put silly hairclips in his hair.

He's got his ears pierced. Left ear has multiple piercings, right ear only has one (usually matching with G.).

His favorite movie is Silence of the Lambs.

Luna had never heard these words before, nor had she heard of the man who had said them... well until she and Mateo end up having a movie night and Luna comes up with an idea. If there is really a place that can be called "the happiest place on the earth" she wants to see it for herself. So she and all her friends leave on an adventure ... an adventure over to a place where you can leave today and enter the world of the past, future, adventure, and fantasy.

Made the force be with you and bright suns

“Tell me again why we’re rope dropping this again?” Matteo downed the rest of his coffee as he walked through the Disneyland’s gates behind Gastón and Nina. It was already the Friday of the week they had arrived. Time really flew when you were having fun… even if you fell to bed because you were absolutely exhausted every night. It's really true what they said about Disney not being the most relaxing vacation, but surely it was a workout. Matteo already was planning on canceling all his dance rehearsals for the week following them coming back. 

“Stop being so grumpy, Matteo.” Gastón was just laughing at him, “No one forced you to come along. You could have stayed in bed.” 

“No chance of that happening,” Matteo shook his head annoyed. “I’m not going exploring Star Wars Land for the first time while Luna’s in my ear asking ten questions that I don’t know how to answer.” 

“Didn’t you make her watch one movie once?” Nina asked as they kept walking toward the Frontierland.

“Yeah, the Clone Wars one. She fell asleep during it.” 

“When was that?” Gastón turned to look at Matteo. 

“I remember,” Nina piped up, “It was on the same day I decided to go to Oxford. Over six years ago now.” 

“Forever ago,” Matteo nodded, “And we have not watched Star Wars since with her. Maybe she’ll want to do that again now that she has this Disney obsession.”

“If she does, you’re in for a huge marathon,” Gastón laughed, “We really need to get you caught up with everything.”

Matteo rolled his eyes. He had been an avid Star Wars fan ever since he had been young. It was actually one of the few things he and his dad actually had in common. He had been to see the Og trilogy in the theaters, but now obviously wasn’t into it anymore. 

Then he had met Gastón who also was a huge fan, even if he was much more into all of the lore. When Nina had entered the fray, Matteo had become a little bit of a third wheel, but they had made it work. They had actually had bunch of fun watching stuff together and both Nina and Gastón had very good takes.

All that being said, Matteo had not been able to keep up with all the content that now existed for the universe. He had seen all the movies, the one animated series from the 2000s and the Mandalorian, the first one of those series on Disney Plus… There were bunch of those now.

“I’m a busy person,” Matteo shrugged as they were walking through The Main Street. “I don’t have time to keep up with everything in the world.” 

“You think we’re not busy?” Gastón raised an eyebrow at Matteo, “Okay, next time Luna’s abroad for a competition, you come over at us and we’re gonna have a marathon. So, you’re set up for that Mandoverse movie, because you are coming with us.”

“I know that there is another galaxy now, apparently.” Matteo continued, “I still don’t get the space whales.”

“Yeah, you need those to get to another Galaxy… Which is basically acting like a revolving door on trapping the Specters. They’re never going to be together as a family again.” 

“It’s gonna happen someday,” Nina noted, “Otherwise no one is able to watch the Rebels epilogue the same again. The Mandalore takeover and hand over of the Dark Saber already has such a different significance now.”

“This is what I meant. I have zero idea what you’re talking about.” 

“That’s why we need to get you up to date,” Gastón grinned, “and then there’s the books…”

“I don’t care about the books—” Matteo started saying, “—Sorry, let me rephrase that. Don’t want to badmouth books while Nina’s present. I don’t have time to read.” 

“You should give the High Republic a fighting chance. Those are really good.” 

“I think we should focus on this Star Wars right now,” Matteo pointed forward as they kept making their way through Frontierland. “I trust this place has some lore, so spring it on me.”

“Well, in our universe, it’s called a Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge which opened up here in Disneyland in 2019.” Gastón started, “But like in universe, it’s this planet called Batuu, which is like on the outer rim. The place is called Black Spire outpost, which was one of the prominent trading posts in the planet and in the system.” 

“It has appeared in books. I don’t remember the High Republic titles, but Thrawn Alliances by Timothy Zahn had it as a prominent location.” Nina continued, “And then there are couple books written for it specifically like the Black Spire by Delilah Dawson. I’ve been meaning to read it but haven’t gotten to it yet.”

“It’s kind of weird that it hasn’t appeared on screen yet,” Gastón noted, “But maybe it would be a bit hard to film covertly here or at Orlando. Things could get leaked.” 

“Okay,” Matteo nodded. He asked, so he could not make fun of them for the lore dump. He hadn’t expected there to be that much, but of course Gastón and Nina knew it. “So, let's go in and pilot the Falcon.” 

“You have your priorities in order.” Gastón laughed as they walked in.

Nina looked at the landscaping when they entered the land. Everything was constructed from red rocks. Giant black spikes that looked like burned threes loomed above them… right… black spires. 

Lore wise, this place had a bunch of history, but Nina did not remember it all right now. She didn’t remember all the details from Thrawn Alliances, because she hadn’t had the time to reread it. 

Also, frankly, that wasn’t her favorite of all the Star Wars books. None of the Thrawn books really were, she hadn’t even read the legends ones. Her favorite definitely was the High Republic publishing writing initiative. 

That being said, she hadn’t read any Star Wars books in a while, since she didn’t always have time. She was a writer, so most of her time not writing was taken up by planning and research. Star Wars wasn’t one of the research topics right now, as her current trilogy was as far away from Sci-Fi as you could get. Space Opera and high fantasy was something she had been thinking about for her next series, not that that would be started any time soon, but something similar to Ahsoka maybe. 

“All the rock work is anchored by strong geometric forms. Many architectural components are fragmented and asymmetrically arranged, with thick walls often coated with heavy, ancient plaster to tell the story of a mysterious land with a deep, rich history.” Gastón said as he pointed towards the structures, “They must have taken a lot of real-life inspiration from places like Morocco and maybe Turkey.” 

“You know,” Nina tilted her head when she looked at him, “I really like when the architect in you comes out.” 

“Well, I’ll do it more often then,” He smirked at her. “Since I don’t get much use of my minor that much in my line of work.”  

“You will,” Nina kept looking at him. Castillo corporations was a construction company, but Gastón was a couple tiers lower of the team that did the actual project planning and executing. He was part of a team that handled energy emission and process influx calculations that the executive team required. It was an extremely good placement for an entry level job. He was going to go far. As long as he was happy, that was all that mattered to her, “Someday.” 

“So, our lightning lane for the Rise Of Resistance is gonna be up soon, so we should head down there now.” Gastón said after looking at the app. 

“Let’s go,” Matteo nodded as they started walking through the marketplace of the Black Spire outpost towards the Resistance forest.

“Wow,” They walked past the life-sized Millenium Falcon, “We need to get some pics in front of that.”

“Yeah, later—” Gastón said as he wrapped his arm around Nina as they kept walking. 

They entered the queue, which for the first part looked like some sort of jungle, like the Jungle Cruise they had been on a couple of days ago. Then they entered what was for a lack of a better word, a cave. A cave that was decorated with all kinds of props as the place was supposed to be some sort of a resistance base. 

“This is very well done,” Gastón said to her, “It almost feels like we're on Yavin IV.”

“Yeah,” Nina nodded. 

They walked past all sorts of gear, in boxes, crates, hangers. There were a bunch of BlasTech EL-16 blasters, flight suits, explosives and even proton bombs scattered around on the crates and around the queue. Star Wars was very well known for its numerous easter eggs, but Nina wasn’t best at identifying them. Gastón had a much better eye for those. 

They finally entered a room with a few of those clear screens with spacey looking lines. 

“Why are we stopping?” Matteo asked as the doors closed. 

“Ever heard of a pre-show before Matteo?” Gastón asked. 

“I know what it is,” Matteo rolled his eyes, “But nothing’s happening…”

As he had said that a sudden beeping could be heard, coming from above one of the shelves… Could you really call them shelves, it was mostly machinery. 

Some light started to blink on the screens, and to their surprise BB-8 rolled to the view on the shelf. The droid animatronic was quite impressive. Nina and Gastón had been theorizing the whole trip on how certain effects and animatronics actually worked on the rides. Gastón obviously had much more knowledge on the subject, even if he hadn’t studied robotics. 

It was fun to talk about and extremely intriguing, even if it did “break the immersion” a bit, and that's why others didn’t really like them doing it.

“There is probably some sort of arm that's operating the ball part from behind.” Gastón whispered to her as the droid kept rolling on the shelf. 

“BB-8. Prep the Ready room.” Intercom sounded as the animatronic of BB-8 was about to roll off view. 

“Commander Nien-Numb, please report back.”

The images on the screen changed again and some light flickered red again as the music started building up. 

“BB-8, is everyone assembled?” Suddenly a hologram flickered into the view on top of a table. 

“How do you think that works?” Nina whispered to Gastón. 

“I think there is some sort of an angular mirror and maybe an o-led screen.” Gastón whispered back. 

“Recruits, thank you for joining the cause.” The hologram of Rey started speaking, “A covert resistance team led by my friend Finn has infiltrated one of the First Order Star Destroyers, that is now headed to this system. Your out post on Batuu is no longer safe. We have transports waiting to take you to General Organa’s secret base on Bagara.”

“When did we sign up?” Matteo appeared to be joking, “I think I missed the memo.”

“Remember that it is vital that you keep the location of our secret base hidden. Lieutenant Beck, one of our top commanders will lead you.”

“Affirmative,” suddenly a mon calamari appeared on the screen on their left, “The transport is ready. Commander Poe Dameron and his squadron of X-wings will escort us.” 

“So, we are on a run now?” Matteo questioned as the doors opened and they were led outside. “Not what I was expecting…” 

“Well, we’re part of resistance now,” Gastón laughed, “So better not slip up. Come on.” He took Nina’s hand as they started approaching what looked like a transport.

“Go, go, go!” The cast member urged them to hurry up as they entered inside the transport. There was a huge animatronic of the mon calamari they had seen before. 

“All ships, launch!”

The “ship” they were on started shaking and moving as the screens showed them lifting off from the planet and up to space. 

“Where are all those Tie-fighters coming from?”

Suddenly it looked like they were caught in the middle of a huge firefight. 

“So, this is the point we get captured, right?” Matteo asked as the sounds of the dogfight continued, and the captain was yelling something about a tractor beam and Star Destroyers. 

“Cargo vessel TR-141 identify yourself,” A First-Order officer appeared on the screen. 

“Yep, I think we just got caught,” Gastón nodded, and Nina wrapped her arms around his arm. 

This was much more her thing in the form of excitement. Storyline driven with not too much trill. It was probably gonna get a little faster paced, but not too thrilling. 

“Prepared to be boarded.”

“Tell them nothing. Future of the Resistance is at stake.”

Suddenly the doors—not the door on the other side of the vehicle, but the door they had come through to get inside the ship—opened and a cast member dressed as an officer walked in and started barking orders at them about needing to go to an interrogation. 

“How was that possible?” Matteo questioned as they walked off the ship. 

“I think we were on some sort of a turntable,” Gastón said as they looked around the hangar, which was immensely impressive. “And then we were either lowered somewhere or just stayed static, but I’m not sure.”

“Maybe you should have become an imagineer,” Matteo nudged him, “You are enjoying this way too much.” 

“Would you, if the offer ever came up?” Nina asked him and they started walking toward a hallway as the cast member kept telling them to proceed to the detention cells. 

“Maybe,” Gastón shrugged, “If they ever decide to build a park in Argentina or something, but that’s a bit far-fetched. I’m not going to move up that fast.”

“Never say never—” Nina said as they were literally locked into a cell. 

“Well, ain't this imitating…” Matteo remarked as they were done with being “interrogated” by both General Hux and Kylo Ren, “...so are somebody gonna come and bust us out?”

As he was saying that, the wall next to them started glowing, almost like it was being cut. Then a literal piece off that wall was pulled out. 

“We’re with the resistance. We’re busting you out.” Cast members started leading them through the wall.

“I didn’t realize that it was going to drop, but it was fine,” Nina was saying as they were exiting the ride. 

“It looks like Jazmin made the girls do a full fashion photoshoot with the princesses,” Gastón remarked as he looked at the thread of pictures being sent to their group chat. 

“Well, I am not sad about missing that,” Matteo laughed. 

“You do know that everyone will also want to come here,” Gastón pointed out before looking at his watch, “We’ll need to act as tour guides…We have about 25 minutes until the Savi’s reservation. How about we go grab some blue milk?” 

“I am still not sure how good of an idea it is to let you two have lightsabers,” Nina said as she took the cup of the blue milk from the counter and sipped it. “This definitely tastes strange.” 

“Hey, we will be extremely responsible with our laser swords,” Gastón responded to her, “And you want one yourself… They’ll look good on our wall. Here, take the green one, so I can try that.” 

“Where are you building your shrine?” Matteo asked as he sipped his colorful milk and almost spit it out, “What is in these?”

“We could put them in our guest room,” Gastón shrugged as he tried the blue milk, “This isn’t that bad. I mean we have to get at least one of the legacy props from that one shop. Where are you putting yours?” 

“I’ll have to hide it in the closet or something,” Matteo shook his head. “Otherwise, Luna will steal it for a prop in her next competition or something.” 

“She might wanna make her own,” Nina noted. 

“If that’s the case, none of us are brave enough to stop her,” Matteo laughed. Luna with a lightsaber was definitely a scary thought… He had already bought a loth cat plush from the creature shop to give to her on her birthday and was planning on making a hyperactive droid in her honor, but if she was gonna want a sword too…well, it was his problem so he could deal with it. “But hey, let's go make ours first.”

“I think that went quite splendidly,” Matteo remarked as they exited the Millenium Falcon ride. 

“You literally crashed the ship seven different times,” Gastón crossed his arms, “We should all be scared of your driving skills from this point onwards.” 

“Anyways,” Matteo ran off the ramp, “We need those pics before others will start wondering if we really have gotten stranded on that other galaxy, since that was something that apparently happened a lot.”

“Yep,” Matteo heard Gastón say as he and Nina followed him to the closest photopass photographer.

“Get your lightsabers out!”

Okay, so I had quite a hard time with getting this chapter done (I hope it doesn't show too much), but that's why ends little abruptly. I guess I would have kept descripting every attraction ever super in detail, it would have gotten kind repetitive and that's not fun to write or read. I got this finished right after Ahsoka finished, so thats why there are lot of references to space whales, other galaxies and ghost crew not getting their happy reunion.

RWRB: Thoughts on the movie

SO a while back, i let the entire internet(like 2 people) know my thoughts on the RWRB trailer. i watched the movie last night. and i have so many, SO SO many thoughts about it. Buckle in kiddos, this is gonna be one long fucking post.

In honor of Mr. Alex Claremont-Diaz and his endless lists, here are some lists including but not limited to what i liked and what i didn't like.

What i liked:

Uma Thurman. Slayed as per usual. I did think they could've done more with her bc she's so much more mom-president in the books. Still, though, Uma Thurman is always amazing and it's amazing to see her.

The way they did the texts and calls? Phenomenal! Did they technically only do that once? yes but we ignore that for a minute

The way that they addressed being queer and the coming-out experience. Everyone deserves to be able to figure out their sexuality/gender in their own time and to be able to tell the world at their time and pace. And they made sure to put that in the movie. [Quick tangent: two of the biggest queer projects of the year(so far), Heartstopper and RWRB both have themes about coming out and how it should be. ]

The sex scenes were actually not bad. The "let's make love" scene never happened in the book and their first time having sex together was way more low-key in the book but I liked that gay intimacy was shown in a very unflinching sort of way. The book certainly doesn't shy away from-for lack of a better word- smut and I'm glad that the movie took a less fade-to-black approach. (and yes, reader, it did make me want to get dicked down. No, I will not elaborate, take from that what you will)

Phillip. I never thought that I'd say this but Phillip in his little 2hr condensed form is actually really accurate. he pisses me off and he's condescending and a real prick. good job writers

Okay. That's some stuff i liked. Apologies readers, my dislike list might be longer than my like list but its coming from a place of love, I promise

What I didn't like:

June. WHERE WAS JUNE???? i get that its a 2-ish hr amazon movie but still. You're gonna have Nora(more on her in just a sec) but not June?? June was a very big part of the book who is a big support for Alex and is just generally cool. Making Alex an only child did not feel right y'all.

If you're gonna have Nora in the movie or like combine Nora and June or whatever the writers/directors/producers had in mind, then DO IT RIGHT. Nora in the books is firmly queer and cool and like probably austistic and a hacker(?). She's got her own sideplot with the whole Richards leak(again, more on that later). She helps Alex come to terms with his bisexuality. And you're just gonna make her a little side character that gives Alex advice and is maybe working on the Claremont campaign. like c'mon. Nora and June are Alex's support system, they're the people he relies on, the people who have seen him before being first-son and after becoming first-son.

Speaking of Alex being the first son, i wasn't happy that they sort of just glossed over Alex's insecurities. we get a little of them in the emails but part of what makes Alex so relatable is that he is confident and he is smart and he does want to help people but he also understands and feels the difference between himself and Henry. Henry is white and British and privileged and has a myriad of insecurities too but Henry will never understand being judged solely on your skin. On being compared to someone else but understanding the double-standards that come along with it. i honestly don't know if i put it correctly but that is why i loved alex so much.

FUCKING MIGUEL RAMOS. WHO MADE THAT FUCKING DECISION????? first off, for those who have yet to read the book, Miguel Ramos is not in the book. Rafael Luna is. Liam is. Both men are very important for Alex(and Henry)'s story. Liam is a key component in Alex's journey in bisexuality. Rafael Luna's involvement in the Richards Campaign is also very important plot-wise. Luna is also one of the guys who Alex realises he thought was hot btw.

The Richards Campaign!?!?!?!! felt very non-important. like i just don't really feel the need to root for the Claremont Campaign or root against the Richards Campaign when they sort of take a backseat. in the book the Richards campaign is the one to leak the emails and its a more malicious strike against the Claremont Campaign vs a jealous reporter who the Alex hooked up with once leaking the story.

WHILE we're on the emails, i know that you can only fit so much in here but COME ON MAN. the emails are sort of the foundation of Henry and Alex's romance. they text(AFTER ALEX GIVES HENRY HIS NUMBER BTW) and then they email each other and its so gay/bi and so happy and so romantic and the quotes man the FUCKING quotes and i didn't get that and can you tell that the emails mean a lot to me

the "history,huh?" moment did not feel as impactful to me. fight me on that , i don't care.

Bea. Said it before, not how i pictured. But boy did they really reduce Bea. Mind you, she's got a very big role in Henry's life an they do try but the powder princess stuff is kind of important.

Princess Catherine. Where is she? Who knows? Again, cut for time but my gosh people, she's the reason Queen Mary turns around on Henry and Alex.

Speaking of Queen Mary, they switched her around for a king?!?!?! LISTEN i get not wanting to make real-world comparisons yadayadayada but Stephen Fry?!?!?! im so sorry that man is too nice for you to try to convince me that he's a racist and homophobic ruler.

Alex's parents. They're together, i guess? minor thing so that's why its here idk.

SO that was a lot of complaints and some good stuff.

You may be thinking "THANK GOODNESS, it's over"

WRONG.

I have more thoughts, dear reader.

Look, was it a perfect adaptation? no. adaptations rarely are.

Was it a good movie? yes. it was.

This movie made my little gay POC heart very VERY happy. it made me happy to see something that I treasure be put out into the world in a movie that I will be watching over and over and over. I'm obviously not pleased with the multiple liberties they took but I'm taking what I can. We need more queer everything out in the world. More queer books, more queer movies, more queer photography, more queer tv shows, more queer museum exhibits, you name it. Given the current state of the world and attitudes about queer people, it is essential to make and consume queer media in all its forms. Queer media makes sure that everyone knows that we're here and queer and we're not going anywhere. This is an important story to tell. And it doesn't have to be perfect. It just needs to tell OUR stories.

Henry, Alex (and also Nick Nelson and Charlie Spring) have made me want a love like theirs. A love that is genuine and real and honest and full of hope. A love who understands me and who I understand. To quote Dr. Taylor Alison Swift: "A love that was really something, not just the idea of something."

Welcome to my rant about the movie of red, white and royal blue, this is not structured in any way whatsoever and I have a tendency to ramble so I hope you enjoy…

I was very excited about this movie because I freaking loved the book, but I guess what people say is true and the adaptation is never as great. It’s so annoying to have people who’ve never read the book rave about how good the movie is, they just don’t understand what they’re missing out on. I could not even finish the movie, if this impacts the objectivity of my review, well, it was never going to be objective anyway. I understand that you want to flesh Henry out so you added scenes from his point of view but that doesn’t mean you completely ruin Alex in turn. First off the actor, no offence to his person, seemed in the movie weirdly old which was uncomfortable, and Alex was portrayed like some jock that says ‘no homo’ to his ‘dudes’. Alex’s entire personality is completely different, and not only that but all his problems and struggles just, vanished, *poof*, gone, like he isn’t a very detailed character with layers and complexity. What happened to his struggle with accepting the fact that he is bisexual and in fact attracted to Henry, talking it out with Nora, running with his sister and trying to let go of all his pent up emotions. No apparently instead of that, instead of the existence of his sister who is very important to his character, we get this random dude called Miguel who he had sex with once who keeps trying to get back together with him. What was the entire point of that? Not only does it remove the entire internalized homophobia and denial and repression, it adds this unnecessary side plot that fails to make up for all that’s missing. Speaking of things that are missing what happened to Luna? He’s so important to the political plotline (which apparently also kicked the bucket because it sure wasn’t there in the 50% of the movie I saw) and he’s important to Alex to, someone he looks up to and wants to imitate because of their shared heritage and belief system. Alex cares so much about making a change, it makes you invested in stuff like whether Texas will turn blue or not, it’s for completely fictional party, in a country I’m not even from. What happened to that? What happened to everything?

Now let’s talk about Henry’s side of things, his personality changes heavily too. Because we read the book from Alex’s perspective we have certain misconceptions about Henry which needed to be in the movie too to actually show how much resentment they had for each other. We needed a long build up to them letting their grudges go and clearing up the miscommunication and slowly becoming friends and appreciating each other despite the differences in their personality. What we got instead was this: “he’s so hot” Nora and Beatrice about Henry and Alex respectively, both of them denying it vehemently clearly showing to the audience that it’s a lie, Alex getting jealous and drunk and confronting Henry, showing again that hate isn’t all he feels, weird too fast banter about *checks hand* the proper address for a prince of England? Alex looking apologetic about getting cake on Henry, the cake falling, end scene. This already establishes a different relationship and views of one another compared to the book, and after that we see, what? Henry calling Alex darling and Alex freaking out instead of the original scene, where Alex thought Henry was a pompous asshole. Them connecting over scones instead of Alex being incredulous that Henry has an actual personality. Weird insult compliments in an interview the interviewee reads as friendly banter. The hospital scene (which I’m thankful they didn’t mess up too bad) leading to immediate forgiveness from both sides and starting a friendship. You know how long it took you to thread this, that’s how long it took the movie to get them to this point, it’s much longer in the books. And the friendship stage itself is shown as just a montage of texting and talking and that one turkey scene and then suddenly it’s New Year’s Eve. And because they took June to the back and shot her pez likes Nora which means instead of Alex kissing Nora platonically like a fun tradition they do he’s apparently just kissing random people at parties too?

Lastly their dynamic in the movie, let’s talk about it. I don’t fucking know exactly how they butchered this but any and all romantic scene between them was so uncomfortable to watch. I don’t know if it’s because alex seemed like a 30-years-old, if he seemed too straight for it to be believable, if he just seemed like the type of person who couldn’t be sweet and romantic with anyone, regardless of gender, or if was just too flat a character, but there was a big problem. The only bearable scenes were the banter ones after they had become friends, that was the only thing that wasn’t unnatural and staged, even alex’s mom was weirdly unnatural and uncomfortable to watch in scenes. Actually both Alex and his mom in the movie made my incredibly uncomfortable, like voldemort hugging draco in the deathly hallows both they’re voldemort and we’re draco? Like the feeling when your neck is too exposed so you tilt you head back and shudder? Am I making any sense, I don’t know. I don’t even know how they achieved such a strong reaction. All I know is that insects crawling up my spine would feel better.

Anyways I’m sure I missed a bunch of stuff but this is my opinion I hoped you enjoyed reading.

I will drop a ton of Red White and Royal Blue book quotes later but. For now? I am just. So floored by how good the romance is written. Once you read honestly genuine good depictions of love? Where the demonstrations of healthy love, love between flawed realistic people where thing work out because they're doing their best to communicate and help each other and understand each other and be vulnerable and accepting? Fuck. My standards for reading other romances are so HIGH now.

I just read a chapter idk around page 230. Where Alex doubts he's good. And the whole thing is Henry understanding his mess of words and being able to respond in acceptance and comfort, with the words "you are good."

Fuck. I've had dreams where the most romantic thing I ever heard? Was that. You are good. You are good. Fuck me. This is so perfectly written as far as genuine loving depictions go I'm just so beyond coping right now.

My standards are just. Going to be SO picky after this. Even writing my own story, I'm fucking re-evaluating now! I'm like oh damn what do I want to do to contrast some relationships with others that are more truly demonstrating love? Wow.

(Also unrelated, but I love the decision to put significant politics into the book. I don't know the authors background or if they intended to give Alex his own separate sort of opinions and struggles that the actual author wouldn't relate to as much. But I find the discussions regarding idealism versus realism in political decisions, campaigning for northern votes versus southern, experience of latino Americans versus northeastern WASP, the way stuff like grassroots campaigning and independent candidates are viewed depending on the person contemplating them, the way college education and nepotism bleeds into people's political assumptions, there's just a Lot of honestly very Real stuff about political arguments within the US. In the American democratic party I've seen so many of these debates and discussions on what's right or better or what to do or when we should argue, and Alex's whole bit about southern democrats being forgotten and not campaigned to and helped really hit, along with his mention at the end that "You don't get to pretend it's someone else's problem, none of us do" it's true. Regardless of the internal debates, it's not someone else's problem it's all of ours, it's all of our lives, our country. For a lot of obvious reasons the movie just could not delve into political aspects nearly as much as the book, and I'm really impressed with the books decision to make as much commentary on it as it does. I've never seen it done before in a romance story. I've never seen it done before in a Not West Wing story frankly, but that could be my fault for not seeking out political modern fiction? Also the minor thread of older generations like his parents and Luna versus Alex and idealism, that's been a huge conversation as long as I've been alive and probably an eternal political discussion.)
