I am so tired of Ahsoka!
She wasn't needed and now she is literally everywhere. I go on on any social media and serach for Prequel Trilogy stuff and I can't go 1 minute without seeing something about her, when she wasn't even in the films. I honestly am so mad that I wasn't part of the fandom before Ahsoka was created because she kinda becomes "the most important person for Anakin (fuck you Obi-Wan and Padme)".
It's a bit sad since she could have been a cool character. Just make her master someone else and don't make her the most special and powerful Jedi. And if they wanted to make her a padawan of a "special" master than maybe introduce a new Jedi who idk maybe left the Jedi Order long ago and now they return because of the Clone Wars. This would mean that: a) Ahsoka still has a "special" master b) because she is trained by a master who only recently returned to the order she has training different than any other padawan c)due to her master she has controversial opinions on some Jedi customs. This could be a good point of conflict for her character (do I listen to my master or the Order) and also doesn't make unnecessary changes in the story of film characters (Anakin, Padme, Obi-Wan and others).
Honestly, I think that when you do a serial for a beloved film you should ensure that the characters you fit with what the films tell us. The Jedi Council didn't want to make Anakin a master, so why would they give him a padawan. As ignorant as they could sometimes be, I think that connecting "Anakin is not mature enough to be master" with "Anakin is not mature enough to have a padawan". It's really something I think they would notice.
I 👏 HAVE 👏 BEEN 👏 SAYING 👏 THIS 👏 FOR 👏 YEARS 👏
She is COMPLETELY unnecessary to Anakin's story and always was. Every story beat she supposedly fulfills is already fulfilled by another character. I kinda wonder if it was an attempt at whitewashing Anakin's character (Lucas was involved in TCW and apparently wanting Anakin to be more appealing from what I heard, and this was back when the prequels and Hayden were NOT as loved as they were now because my generation wasn't as huge a fandom voice as the old OT-loving guard) and making him more appealing but no. Anakin is a human garbage can and that's what makes him such a compelling and interesting character!!!
I honestly would probably be a huge Ahsoka stan if TCW was envisioned as its own thing and focused on her as a character on her own instead of making her Anakin's Most Specialest Beloved Padawan Who Is Best At Everything (She Can Even Fight Grievous omg!!!). Back then we were so starved for female characters, we had Leia and some Padme mainstream but that was it (you only knew about Mara Jade in Legends and she wasn't in the mainstream merch or anything from what I recall), and much as I love a good dies-of-sadness joke, Padme is often simplified to that and shoved aside even though she's a really cool and complicated character in her own right. I will give Ahsoka credit for blazing the way for female characters to be more included in Star Wars, but it falls flat when she's just propped up as Coolest Wisest Bestest Jedi-but-not-a-Jedi-actually-she's-better-than-the-Order Girlboss. Now we're back to Only One Female Character Above All Others. (Rey and Rose were ruined with bad writing, Hera and Sabine are wonderful but definitely not mainstream (and probably being butchered in the show), Gina Carano ruined our chances of any more Cara content, Peli was just a cameo last season, and Bo-Karen also got the Always Right Beloved TCW Girlboss Treatment.)
Imo the Council was pretty much always on the money with Anakin (at least with what they knew of him - they didn't know of the Tusken murder spree for example) and there's no way Anakin was ever ready for a Padawan or that anyone in their right mind would give him one. In MY episode III fanfiction when Favored Main Character Got A Padawan, Obi-Wan got the Padawan because he had more experience teaching, even at 12 I knew Anakin had no business teaching anyone. Also, it was NEVER previously canon that Padawans were assigned. Masters chose them as in the Jedi Apprentice series. I will NEVER let that go. Ahsoka being assigned to Anakin was so contrived.

Imagine: Padmé dies in an attack coordinated by the Sith. Anakin dwells in grief and the result could be catastrophic. What, however, will be your role in it?
Warnings: lots of drama, but always having fluff endings because that’s how I roll (and because Anakin is always miserable in “SW” the poor thing); and smut. Minors, do not read it.
Recommendations: there’s something about “All Too Well” by Taylor Swift here—you may want to listen if you want to really feel the angst—and “Fire Meet Gasoline” by Sia. 🤭
***
You’ve known Anakin for years, had grown up together in Tatooine before being dragged to the Jedi Temple because the Force was felt as powerful in the boy as in you, his constant companion.
That’s what you were. A close companion to one another. So different, but so similar. Where you internalized your temper, he extruded it. Simple as that. Both of you were trained by Obi-Wan, often making him sigh heavily and wonder what did he to do to Maker frown upon him?
But where you were cautious, he was reckless. Where you were overthinking, he was not. But even in missions together, as you grew, traits overlooked as faults completed each other and could actually be helpful in the success of the mission.
You were his confident at the end of the day, it had always been like this. You were there when he was smitten with Padmé, an idea that suddenly did not fit so well to you.
And he could tell that.
“Is it because I’m breaking the rules again, isn’t it?”
You sighed. You figured it could be a different reason, but good in masking feelings, you thought you should bury the truth. First, because Jedis were strongly advised not to form attachments. Second, because you wanted him to be happy. At what cost? At yours, but you were ready for it.
“I just worry for you”, you told him, which was not entirely a lie.
You came to reason yourself that you’ve made a vow the day you were knighted a Jedi, more than aware of what the risks you might incur to when you left so many possibilities to serve a cause you came to commit genuinely. You realized, from this point of view, that you could deal with the amount of unresolved matters by yourself. But this should not prevent you from being friends. You could handle that, and you would.
“Y/Nickname” he said, using the pet name he often addressed you ever since you were toddlers. “Come on. I know you better than this.”
You hated to lie, especially to him. In fact, Anakin had something in his heart about this, how you reacted strangely to his confession. He could tell, when looking into y/eye color, that something about him and Padmé had made you unhappy.
And Anakin sensed that this might cost your friendship, something he was not inclined to bargain, less so losing ir. You were the reason why he was there: he told Qui-Gon Jinn that he would never be part of the Jedi Order if Y/N was not there with him. He was attached to you. There were nights he had nightmares and you were there to make them go away.
In his dark moments, whether he was being grumpy, sulking or crying, you were there for him. Anakin knew he’d never let you go. Perhaps he was even inclined to sacrifice his own happiness if this meant that you’d stay. And yet, he felt you were pushing him away, a possibility that he was not accepting well.
“Trying to read my mind will not help your side, my man”, you broke the awkward silence by making him laugh.
You stepped closer to him and embraced him. His scent was difficult to bare, it smelled like an invitation to kiss and.. oh shush yourself, you reprehended yourself mentally.
Reluctantly you let him go. You wanted to assure him everything was well, especially because you became aware he was battling his sentiments. It would be selfish you to impose him such sadness. On the contrary, you came to see that his happiness meant so much for you. Therefore, you paid a double effort to assure him about it, which was not a lie. You once heard that love was letting go the beloved one and always hope for their happiness. This suddenly made sense of you.
After a while, Anakin believed in you. When he smiled, your fears disappeared. All was well between the two of you. No need for fear of losing each other.
Until the day he came back from a mission. Anakin told you he had secretly taken Senator Amídala as his wife. As much as you congratulated him and joined him in secretive celebrations, your broken heart was in pieces and you bled.
That night, Anakin was disturbed, though, because he felt your pain. Barely he knew how you could not sleep because you cried to yourself. You sobbed, blaming yourself for suffering like this. Whilst he could not figure it out the reason, because you masked your signature, he knew you were not well.
But the next day you feigned so well that nothing had happened that he reluctantly let that pass. Perhaps he was imagining things. Perhaps he was being overly paranoid. But his heart remained uneasy nonetheless. However, as time went by and missions required you to team up with each other, this small tension went undetected. Duties came before desires, and besides you were content with his friendship. In the end, you made peace with what lied in your heart, especially because you were too aware that forming attachments would do you little good.
So wherever Anakin went, you followed. Obi-Wan once sighed:
“Why, whenever something bad happens, you two must be involved?!”
But then… you were concerned with his happiness. To the point yours ghosted you. Where did it go?
You had little time to dwell upon it. As you developed your powers, proving your worth to the Jedi Council, you were assigned more tasks. These occupied your mind enough to let go of that aching longing for someone who was supposed to be your friend.
Anakin, on the other hand, could tell something was amiss. The day he saw you leaving, he had a bad feeling about this mission you were assigned to. He wanted to tell you not to, but based on what he was meant to go against the Council’s orders?
His eyes lingered in you. The ponytail, the blue lightsaber that was on your back because you learned with Anakin’s bad experience in almost missing his lightsabers every time you were flying, the confidence that often mirrored his arrogance. But the magic of your friendship seemed to fade as he watched you joke with Rex.
Why weren’t you doing that to him?
He suffocated this odd sentiment. But moved by a bad feeling he had to you, he went to talk to you. When you turned at him, Anakin suddenly knew. He remembered all too well when you received him warmly, when you hugged him a little more than usual, when you comforted him. There was something that he could decode, but now he did.
“Hey, Y/nickname”, he greeted you like he did. Why was he feeling weird? Why should this be different to him? You were looked at as if he feared to break your heart. “Please be careful when you are out there.”
You thought a little strange how he spoke of you. What had caused this change in him? Regardless of this sudden awkwardness, you said cheerfully:
“Ani, that’s okay. There’s no need to worry! I’ve done this as much as you.”
You rose your eyebrows and his laughters at your funny expressions dissolved this strange moment. He took you in an embrace and there you stayed. It was time to go.
“Come back to me, Y/nickname”, he whispered to himself as he watched you go. “Come back safe.”
You thought you heard something, but you didn’t give him much attention. You didn’t turn around. It would be for the best for you not to.
***
Whilst the temple was attacked and Anakin’s wife was assassinated in a bold move orchestrated by the Sith, resulting in deadly events that no one could foresee the consequences just as yet, you had been forced to deal with your own problems.
The mission went wrong. You lost most of your men. You were tortured by the hands of the General Grievous, but eventually what saved you was the explosion of emotions you suppressed.
Anakin felt it. He remembered howling it in pain because he thought you had died too. He was about to break loose.
What an irony. The Sith managed to wound the women he cared deeply, and he was again bound to serve the an Order that Anakin began to disassociate himself because of the blind vanity that began to corrupt some of the members of the Council.
It perhaps did not go worse as Obi-Wan feared because you were somehow rescued. Suffocated by the emotions you sought to suffocate, there were more than physical wounds. Your spirit broke.
Anakin was in the verge of his nerves when he saw you being taken to the physicians. For a moment, he was stunned. You lived. But the look on your face distraught him: something worse than he thought seemed to have been inflicted on you.
You too could tell something really bad had happened, not only the attack to the Jedi Temple, but something that targeted him somehow. The two of you locked gazes, but that was it. Neither dared to speak.
Those were dark days, with a future still developing ahead. But he sensed anger in you, though when he saw your features, there was nothing that uncovered the state of your heart. He went after you thus, frustrated. And right before your eyes, Anakin murdered the doctors.
“What the hell do you think you are doing?!”, you find yourself shouting at him, perplexed by that demonstration of anger.
He was strange, but so were you. Neither were yourselves these days.
“I’m taking you with me to Naboo. I’ll be the one to take care of you.”
“It’s kidnapping, Anakin!”, you remarked, partly amused by this fact, but as irritated as for him taking the reins of your lives without your consent.
“I don’t care.”
And he did not.
***
You were silent, not in Naboo, but somewhere in a far away galaxy. Distant from all that mess that befell on the Republic. You saw now that Anakin, after all he went through, sought comfort in you.
“I don’t think I can give you what you want”, you said.
As he tended your wounds, Anakin sensed the growth of darkness in you. How could you mirror him so much? The difference was that he was moved by the desperation of saving you. He knew too late what had occurred to you and he felt guilty for never attempting to make you stay. Perhaps if he did, everything would be different.
“Y/N”, he mumbled.
You were still hurt, broken in many aspects. What it was done to you brought to surface the sentiments you thought you did well in masking it. However, they boiled darkly, poisoned by the darkness that started flowing into you.
Anakin felt you were this close to explode. He saw as you took a seat, anxiety stamped in your face. Sadness, angst, pain. He felt you. He felt rejection in you, he…just knew all you went through.
All you did for him. Because you wanted him to be happy.
He swallowed his tears.
The silence was too much to bear. He took your hands, his muscles tensed. “Y/N talk to me…”
“You’ll turn yourself against me”, the words rolled out of her tongue. “You did it once. You abandoned me, Anakin!”
He sighed. Although you saw the two of you were going through bad difficulties, disturbing thus the Force around you, you could not be reasonable. It was like you were drowning in the waters of the Dark Force.
“Y/N…”
“I kept you like an oath! But you broke my heart! You promised me we’d stay together, but…” you exclaimed. You stood, confused, pacing around the ship. “I hate you!”
And there it was. You broke down. You wished you could yell and maybe you did, but Anakin knew too well how you felt. So he pulled you against him.
“You don’t. We are broken, that is all.” He closed his eyes. Same feeling, different sentiment flowed from one another.
Anakin held you against him. It was as if the two of you were one. Curiously, by providing you the solace you needed, his inclination to the dark manipulations input by the Chancellor began to fail.
He remembered all too well. All the two of you went through, all the subtle gestures that, whilst insignificant to others, he could tell how much they expressed the desires of your heart. Did he do the wrong choice? Anakin wept.
You though struggled against his touch, that burned you; against his gentleness and comprehensiveness that somehow communicated with the light that existed in you. But you could hear Grievous’s voice yelling: he will never love you.
He would not.
He grieved for Padmé.
And you grieved for your heart.
You wanted to be out of his arms, but you could not. Because from the moment you saw the look in his eyes…
You remembered the same. All too well.
The goodness in him, the sense of humor, the compassion, the willingness in helping those in need. You could not lose him like that.
You cupped his face in your hands. There was darkness in him, but you would not let this flow. You could not.
“I understand you. But we can go through this together, uh?”
The two of you locked gazes. Anakin felt hope, but he was scared to dive in it. Most important was to look after you
“Let’s go to that planet?” You suggested the planet Y/C, one that once held the best memories of your days.
Away from the Sith. Away from the Jedi. Away from the wars that bled you. Anakin’s lips twisted in a small smile. The magic of your friendship returned.
“Of course. Whatever you want, y/nickname, as long as we leave this shit hole.”
You chuckled. You both were a mess, but there was no need to speak of what happened. You won the temptation, that was what mattered.
For now.
***
He watched you in a simple dress teaching the ways of Jedi to the younglings who lived in the village where you settled down. Anakin felt peace in his heart when happiness was in your face. You were a great teacher and passionated about it.
He also noticed what he had not perceived before. How your brown-ish hair was long, falling down to your waist; when did you ever wear it down? He did not remember, but he thought you were prettier with it loose. The wind sometimes ruined your hair which made the former Jedi laugh to himself.
But when you were dancing in golden summer clothing with the women of the tribe… it was when desire was awake. Anakin noticed that he’d been hiding under the excuse of grief for so long. How could he not notice that?
You, on the other hand, ignored his feelings for you. You’d been in peace with the fact that he might not return these. You were actually considering to move on. There was a day at party where you wore a tiara on top of your head as you braided your hair and wore a more elaborated gown that showed a little of your collarbone.
One of the tribe man asked you dance and, to Anakin’s dismay, you actually accepted it! You sensed the dark in him again, something you had not sensed it for about three years. You excused from your dance partner and went after Anakin.
He was wearing his blue robes, his curly hair dropping graciously over his shoulders. Anakin sought comfort when looking at the ocean, ignoring your presence.
“Ani… What’s going on?” You asked him, slowly standing by his side. He refused to look at you. “I’ve never felt you this way before. Will you please talk to me?”
Anakin sighed. Aware he’d do that if it happened to you, he looked at you. You were so pretty. Your traces were more delicate now than before, you relaxed after all these years in constant combat. But… he didn’t want to share you. He was still plagued by the possessiveness that still inhabited inside him.
It took him years to realize that his biggest mistake was thinking he loved Padmé. Perhaps he did in his own way, but not like he loved you. He did not think he’d been struggling to this feeling until he saw you with somebody else. Did he get used to you nurturing sentiments for him and feared for you moving on? Maybe. But he always refused to lose you.
“I love you, Y/N.” It was all he said to summon his sentiments. The shock in you is evident. You clearly did not expect that. “It took me years to come to terms with myself that I made a big mistake by not marrying you.”
You did not know what to say. Anakin furrowed his eyebrows. He wasn’t expecting your stunned silence. He took your hands in him and made you look in his eyes.
“Please, talk to me”, he begged you.
“I… I don’t know what to say, Ani. I thought I was…”
“Just a friend?” He completed the sentence, even though he read more what you were about to say. “Never. You are so much more than that. You are the sun who brights my life, the reason why you saved me from going a dark path. You mean the world to me. You are everything I want and more.”
His words warmed your heart for you felt the truth in them. But you felt desire too. There was no point in fighting the urge of your heart or deny his. How surprised you were when you came to realize that the sentiment never left you: it had only matured.
You finally gave in to his demands by kissing his lips with passion, responding his pledges at long last. As you kissed, his hands cupped your frame, engulfing in an embraced.
“I cannot permit myself to lose you again”, Anakin spoke as he kissed you, feeling what you were feeling. Hasn’t it always been like this? If you were burning alive, he would gladly burn with you. “Let me be consumed for all these years you’ve been waiting for me, Y/N.”
You moaned softly against his lips, unable to respond because you needed him so badly. Soon, he took you back to your home. It was a simple household that nonetheless fit your needs. The bed you shared was once cold, but now it felt welcoming. Warming. Hot.
He laid you down carefully, as if he saw your fragilities. He wanted to tend you. Anakin came to realize that all the traumas were leaving the two of you at long last. Because you healed one another by loving each other.
You put him over your body, removing your gown all the while you laced your legs around his waist.
“Burn with me tonight.”
Anakin smirked down at you, eyes going dark with lust. As he removed his nightshirt, he saw how much you desires him.
“It will be a long night, my love.”
He also read what was implied in your smirk, by how much you wanted him. He’d give you all you required of him.
Admiring your nudeness, he wanted to take his time. You never felt so desired before as he eyed you intently. Then you are surprised by how he used the Force to pin your hands above your head.
“You are mine”, Anakin leant down to peck your lips, gently bitting down your bottom lip, as his hands caress your sides. “Do you understand me?”
As gentle as was his voice, the soft darkness that were always his was seen rising. Yet, you had long accepted that this was part of who you were. Light needed darkness as it did the other way around, otherwise, there was no balance in the Force.
You watched as he caressed your neck before moving down to cup your breasts. He gently pinched your nipples, enjoying to feel them hardening under his touch.
“Well? I’m waiting for a response”, said he maliciously.
You smirked at him. “I am yours to be commanded, Master Skywalker.”
He laughed at how dirty you made sound the title he was never officially earned. But it suited him well. That dark side was perceptible as he looked down at you mischievously, full of himself.
“As you are mine”, said he in a softer tone, pecking your lips again.
Resuming his caressing touch, he was more gentle than you’d thought. Anakin wanted to go things slow with you, teasing all the while as he kissed your collarbone and down below.
As you gave in to him, your moans go louder. How you called his name made him harder. He watched you intently, more than entertained by how he ruined you when he inserted two fingers at once right in the between of your legs. This time he did not slow down. He wanted to see you going wild.
And you did. You certainly did. The next thing you know was rolling your hips and pulling him to you, kissing him hungrily. A complete mess, you felt his dark side again mewling in yours, a smirk twitching in the corner of his lips as you slide your hand to his pants, releasing his manhood. You desperately cupped his erect member into your hands, enjoying as you felt it pulsing against your palm. You teased him by increasing the rhythm, perhaps using the Force to aid you in the whole process.
“Fuck!” He let out a cry out. “Y/N, what the fuck you are…? Ah fuck! It’s good, you are so good!”
If this was what he meant by burning with you, well you were taking it to a next level. You wanted to please him as much as he’d been pleasing you. And you were feeling he was about to come undone. Like he felt so full of himself by ruining you not that long ago, you shared the feeling when you watched him going insane under the gentleness of your touch.
He was so close. He was so damn close.
And you surprise him by replacing your hand to your mouth. Anakin’s eyes went wide open at your bold move. This was, maybe, part of his darkest fantasies. One he in fact never had the courage to live with his former wife.
“Oh Maker!”
And he went right to release his seed in your mouth. He was never so aroused as to when he saw you reacting the way you did. Right after that, he could not think straight.
Anakin left all the gentleness behind when you were placed underneath his body. He may had forgotten you were actually doing it for the first time because he did thrust into you rather intensely.
But you enjoyed the pain that came with it. Your desire was burning you and he was joining you in it. He would not stop until his seed was inside you. And that is precisely what you wanted. To be left sensitive, to have him inside you.
All the kisses he left in your body made you shake under his touch, finally reaching the climax when he found the way back to your lips.
“I love you”, he mumbled as he moved inside you. Anakin searched for your eyes as he said so; he was preoccupied you’d not understand how he meant every word. “I love you so much that it hurts, Y/N.”
But he didn’t have to worry. The bliss on your face already reassured him that you never considered otherwise.
“I love you, Ani. Always and forever.”
And just as you said, the two of you reached the orgasm together.
***
This would be a new routine for you. It’d been worked for a while, but the difference remained on the fact that the two of you were married. Still disguised by the Force in that distant planet, you continued to live your life…now as a couple.
The day after your marriage, Anakin pulled you right against him. There were some traumas that woke him in the middle of the night, but for some reason he felt Padmé would bless his new union.
You gave him a new purpose to live, taking as he was, with good and bad moments. Anakin was still emotive when, in your vows, you told him he was your chosen one. Always was, and always will be.
He cuddled you against him, peppering your exposed bare skin with gentle kisses. Before you’d awake, he was already smirking because he could tell what you were dreaming about and why not beginning the day by pleasing you again.
Anakin was so happy as he watched you lean towards him, cuddling against him. His hand, the metallic one, slowly put away the white sheet of your bed, his eyes lingering in the swell of your breast. He immediately felt aroused by such sight. His eyes moved up to your face again, smiling at your angelical features.
As he slowly leant to kiss you, you began to awake. How impressed was he when he felt your desires. You were awake with a need of him. And before you knew, he was giving it to you.
After you made love again, you contemplated happily this perspective of becoming Mrs Skywalker. The two of you began to plan a family there, but as you watched him doing so, you couldn’t help but wonder how long the two of you would be content with this life.
You looked upon the skies and Anakin sensed your questions, coming right behind you as he snaked his arms around your waist.
“You are missing him, aren’t you?”
“I am”, you responded, slightly sad. “I wonder his whereabouts, Ani. Do you think we should..?”
To your surprise, he shook his head.
“Not yet.” He felt that maybe this was not the time. You could tell Anakin was not prepared to face him.
“But eventually, we’ll have to know.”
Anakin was quick to appease your anxieties. In truth, you thought peace was too easy for your taste. But soon the answer to your subtle disturb in Force would come.
So far, however, you realized that you’d not ruin your personal paradise for nothing. Instead, you turned and appreciated your life as Mrs Skywalker by the side of the man you loved.

Epilogue.
Despite being told she was not meant to go far from the line that divided the village from the wild forests, Leia felt the unknown call her. She took the opportunity that Luke had been busying himself building a ship for him to pilot whilst her parents were occupied with whatever they were doing, and decided to see for herself.
It was a strange calling. She did not know the reason why she sensed it. Luke would feel it too, but Leia didn’t think he took it seriously.
Reckless like her father was in his days, a trait that Anakin would brag all the while concerned you, Leia went to explore it. It was right when she was startled by the presence of a man whom she’d never seen before.
He was holding binoculars when he saw her right before him. The man was surprised for getting caught. How was he perceived? It was when he noticed she was scared, that he softened and smiled.
“Hello there.”
Leia knew she wasn’t meant to speak to strangers, but she felt the good in him. Whatever this actually meant. Well, she thought to herself, it means that you can trust him. Duh.
The ginger man laughed at her thoughts. He soon sought to sooth her concerns.
“No need to worry yourself, little one. I’m not going to hurt you. I see the Force is strong in you”, he said. “But we should discuss this later. How should I call you?”
“Leia”, she said rather timidly. “Who are you?”
The ginger male, who’d been on his knees to match her height, said calmly:
“I’m Obi-Wan Kenobi. But you may call me Ben. Can you take me to your parents?”
Leia gave him a long glance, distrustful at first. But then moved by a good feeling, she softened and smiled at him, before leading him the way back home.
It was when you and your husband heard your daughter calling for you.
“Mommy! Daddy! We have a guest! He wants to speak to you!”
Anakin was about to say something to Luke, something about not piloting yet because you didn’t approve, when he looked at your daughter and then at you.
As you moved outdoors, you were not only petrified, stupefied by the presence of your former master, but thrilled to see he was very much alive.

Let Me Help You - 3
Obi-Wan Kenobi x Reader
<; previous
Summary: Anakin starts getting suspicious about his Masters' feelings for each other and starts asking questions. You, on the other hand, are dealing with the cold shoulder from Obi-Wan and your injured leg. Will things ever get better?
A/N: This will probably be the last part of, "Let Me Help You." I just wanted to say thank you for the love the first part has been getting!
Word Count: 2,300
Tumblr media
You and Anakin walked down to the Jedi Temple's dining hall in silence. With occasional glances from Anakin and his sighs to try to get your attention, you knew he would be asking so many questions.
You tried to walk the best you could without grabbing onto Anakin for help. It was hard. Even Anakin noticed something but didn't ask. Surprising.
Anakin went to one line while you went to the other. You grabbed a simple Naboo fruit bowl while Anakin grabbed a huge meal consisting of roasted porg. The two of you sat down and slowly began eating your meals.
"Sooo-"
"Don't," you quickly cut off Anakin, continuing to eat your fruit.
"It was worth a shot," Anakin shrugged, stuffing his face with food.
Sighing, you looked up at the young Padawan. He was slowly smirking and looked around his environment innocently. You knew that he thought he would get his way. And somehow, he did.
Dropping your fork, you sat up straight and rested your elbows on the table.
"This is the only time I'll be answering your questions so go. You won't be getting anything from Obi-Wan."
Anakin chuckled, celebrating that his tactics worked, and looked at you. You saw the look on his face. You could see the gears turning in his head and all the questions he had forming.
"When did you guys get together?" His smile grew even wider.
You scoffed, "We aren't together," you tried to be quiet as there were other Jedi nearby, "we were just in a heated argument."
"Oh," his smile diminished, "I thought you were."
You began eating your fruit again while he started the questionnaire again.
"Did he tell you how he feels about you?"
"Yeah, very brief-," you stopped, "how did you know that?"
Anakin realized what he said and started stumbling over his words.
"I-uhm-I overheard you! When I walked around the corner! Ha, ha, yeah."
"Anakin."
You glared right at him. You had a good skill of knowing when someone was lying or when they weren't. You didn't really have to decipher Anakin's lying since he was very obvious with his stuttering. Anakin was a great Padawan and a wonderful Jedi learner but never a good liar.
"Obi-Wan and I, when we aren't bickering at each other, we actually have civil conversations. One day, he told me about how he had an emotional connection to someone. He said that he knew it was against the code but he didn't care."
"Did he tell you me?"
"No," he shook his head, "I guessed because you are the only person he ever talks to for fun except me. Everyone else...it's all Jedi business. He never really has any fun."
You nodded your head and rubbed your temples.
"When he talks about you," Anakin continued, "it's like he never joined the Jedi. His mood instantly changes when you walk into the room. He gets all nervous and excited. I've never seen him act like that. You know him, all serious and rigid. But, that all disappears when you are even remotely close to him."
You smiled, comprehending what Anakin was telling you. Obi-Wan had a crush on you. And apparently, a big crush.
"You should talk to him," Anakin suggested, finishing his food.
"I highly doubt he wants to talk to me after I just left him," you finished your food as well, pushing it to the side.
"At least try," Anakin stood up, "you never know."
You watched as Anakin left, knowing he was going to ask more people about you and Obi-Wan. You laughed to yourself. That boy is going to be the death of you.
........................................................................................................................
The next couple of days were absolute torture. Your leg wasn't getting any better, Obi-Wan had been ignoring you, and Anakin wouldn't stop asking questions. You didn't know if it was going to get any better.
Anakin and you had been meeting up for lunch since that incident in the hallway with Obi-Wan. It was nice to have Anakin, but his questions weren't so nice.
Anakin hadn't shown up for lunch today, getting called in by Mace Windu. They probably had some short assignments for him.
You were bouncing your knee in anticipation. Biting your nails and almost pulling out your hair, you couldn't wait any longer. You had to talk to Obi-Wan. No matter what he said. You missed him.
You leaned on the dining table, getting up slowly. You cleaned up your dishes and walked toward the training rooms. If you knew Obi-Wan, and you did, he would be focusing on his training after something like....that....happened. You sensed his signature in the second room.
Bracing yourself, you opened up the door. You looked around and saw Obi-Wan, packing up his stuff.
"Did you just finish?" You asked, making him stop. He wasn't expecting you to be there, talking to him.
"Why, yes I did, Master L/n."
Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion. He never called you your title when it was just the two of you. He only ever did it in front of the other Jedi.
"I wanted to talk about what happ-"
"It's all right. No hard feelings. It was ridiculous. Feelings are against the code and it was a heat-in-the-moment decision."
You couldn't believe what you were hearing. It's like the Obi-Wan you loved was gone and it was now a hard-headed Jedi Code lover. Obi-Wan has always respected the Code but not this much.
"What?"
He turned around and faced you. He saw the confusion and hurt on your face.
"It was just a distraction. I need to focus on my training and missions. I'm sorry for misleading you."
You glared at him and scoffed, "Are you kidding me right now? Is Anakin behind this because if so, you guys got me."
"My Padawan surely had nothing to do with my decision. It's time we grow up and focus on the Jedi, not our feelings," Obi-Wan started walking past you. You quickly grabbed his arm and spun him around.
"So, you're telling me," you leaned closer to his face, "if I kissed you right now, you would have no feelings for me."
Obi-Wan's eyes flickered between your lips and your eyes, "Correct."
"Well then," you challenged, "let's see."
You closed the distance between the two of you, meeting his lips. Your soft lips danced around his softer lips, creating a perfect rhythm. His beard scratched your face which wasn't an unpleasant feeling. You backed away slowly, opening your eyes to meet his blue orbs.
"So?" You smirked.
He pulled his arm away and nodded, "Goodbye, Master L/n."
The Jedi Master left you in your heavily confused state. You had no idea what variant of Obi-Wan just left, but you knew it wasn't yours. He would have said something. He wouldn't have just left you. That was your first kiss with him. Based on what Anakin told you earlier, you knew he wouldn't just leave.
Your fingers brushed your cheek, where his beard had touched you. You felt the ghost of his lips on yours. You wanted to tell yourself that this was just a dream and you didn't just waste your first kiss to prove him right.
At this point, your leg, and heart, were throbbing. You wanted to rest. Your jaw had been dropped for the past couple of minutes and you didn't even notice. Fixing your composure, you walked out of the room and limped towards your room. Hopefully, your dreams would be kind to you.
..............................................................................................................................
"Goodbye Master L/n."
Obi-Wan left the training room, drowsed in heavy regret. He shouldn't have said those harsh words to you. He shouldn't have been so cold after his first kiss with you. He regretted his every action. But, he knew it was what was best. He could never give you what you deserved. A happy life. A healthy relationship. You wanted a love that would last forever. He wanted the same thing with you but knew he would've broken your heart. He knew there were better people out there for you. If the time had come when you wanted to leave the Jedi Order, he wouldn't follow you. That's why he had to push you away.
While waiting for the elevator's doors to open, he was surprised to see Anakin, running toward him.
"Master, fancy meeting you here."
"Young one, this is the Jedi Temple. It's not a coincidence to see each other once in a while."
The elevator dinged and opened.
"Well," Obi-Wan smiled, "I'll see you."
Obi-Wan walked onto the elevator and hit the floor he wanted to go to.
"Wait!" Anakin slammed his hand on the door, blocking its way to close.
"Yes?" Obi-Wan breathed in annoyance.
"What? Is it a problem that I want to spend time with my very talented Master?" Anakin stepped to the left of Obi-Wan, smiling.
Obi-Wan sighed, "What do you want, Padawan? I'm not in a very talkative mood."
Anakin glanced, "And why is that?”
"I have ruined my chance with Y/n. There. I said it," the auburn-haired Jedi snapped.
Anakin nodded his head slowly, being very quiet. Obi-Wan turned his head to look at his Padawan.
"Don't you have anything to say?"
Anakin quickly turned his head towards his Master, "Not at all."
He looked away, smiling. Obi-Wan continued looking at his Padawan.
"Do you know something?"
"Nope."
"Why aren't you saying anything?"
"As I did say, I have nothing to say."
"Then you know something."
"Master, I don't."
"Anakin."
"The only thing I do know is that your feelings for a certain Master are growing because of something that happened but you're denying those feelings because you feel like Master Y/n would be happier with someone else because you're, oh so, devoted to the Jedi Code but really deep inside, you know you belong together."
Anakin's run-on sentence really freaked out his Master. Only because he knew his Padawan was right. He was exactly right.
"Have you been waiting to say that?"
"Yeah, it was so hard to hold it in," Anakin laughed.
Obi-Wan chuckled softly, looking down, "What should I do?"
"You screwed up. We all do," the elevator halted to a stop, allowing the two to start walking, "but, here's what you are gonna do. You are going to talk and tell them how you feel about this whole situation. Respect them, no matter what they say back."
"Okay. Thank you, Anakin. I'll do it tomorrow."
"Nope!" Anakin cheerily answered.
"What?"
"You are going to do it right now. Don't you realize where you are?"
Obi-Wan finally paid attention to his surroundings and realized that Anakin had led him to your room.
"You little-"
"Tell me how it goes," Anakin gave his Master a thumbs up and dashed around the corner.
Obi-Wan crossed his arms and sighed. So much had been happening between the two of you that he wished it never did. He wished that it was just a couple of weeks ago when you two were laughing over something Anakin did.
The door opened suddenly.
..............................................................................................................................
Feeling the presence of Obi-Wan, you walked towards your door and opened it. You saw him, standing there so confidently.
"What do you want?" You asked coldly.
"I want to talk to you."
"Yeah, I tried doing that earlier," you glared at him, "but someone had an attitude."
"Please," he begged.
Oh.
Oh.
You took in that he was actually being serious.
"Fine."
You allowed him to step into your room. You watched as he stepped in cautiously.
"What do you want to talk about?"
He sighed, his back turned to face you, "I wanted to apologize for my words earlier."
"You think?"
"Y/n," he turned around, "let me talk."
You saw the emotions swirling around in his eyes and you decided to stop, your arms falling to your side. He took a step closer, so close that you could smell his comforting smell.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry for all of it. I'm sorry for running. I'm sorry for pushing you away. I only did that because I feel like there are so many other better people out there than me that you could be with. I know that one day you would want to leave the Jedi Order to fulfill your love life. I feared that one day would come and I wouldn't want to come with you. I respect the Jedi Code. It's all I have ever known. But, when you came into my life, that all changed. Here I am, right now, telling you I would do anything for you. Even if that means leaving the Jedi Order behind or forbidding the Code."
Your eyes teared up at his thoughtful words. You walked towards him, surrounding his bearded face with your hands.
"I'm sorry, too. I'm sorry for not telling you that I knew. I'm sorry for causing you all this confusion. You've always been there for me from when I first arrived here, to this injury, to now. This whole thing was pointless because the outcome would've been the same."
Obi-Wan's breath hitched, "How so?"
"You would've still ended up kissing me."
Obi-Wan didn't waste any time, pulling you into him. He kissed you like your lips were the vaccine to his sickness. You matched his rhythm like a beat to a song. You ran your hands through his long mullet, receiving a groan from him. You slowed the kiss down and rested your forehead on his.
"You are really willing to go against the Jedi Code for me?" You asked.
"I'd do anything for you, darling."
"Anything?"
"Anything."

HIIIIII may I request some… angst… please? 😭 the unimaginable was too gooooood!!!!
hey guys this is angst as requested. the lyrics in this are from the song 'See You Again' by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. i recommend listening to it as u read.
This song actually means a lot to me and I cried a tear whilst listening to it writing this. I first heard it several months before my Grandad's death. Since then, I've lost a lot of loved ones, this song means a lot to me.
T/W: Death, Order 66.
It’s been a long day without you, my friend
Ahsoka stood, glossy-eyed at the helmets bearing her markings, buried in the dust. She thought of Jesse, who was always her friend. Until the last moment, when he’d turned on her.
She’d felt it in the Force, Anakin’s death - she presumed.
She’d reached out into the Force instinctively feeling for Obi-Wan, only to reconnect the strands with the dozens of other Jedi, all in pain and betrayal. She hadn’t been able to reach her old Grandmaster, retracting herself from the Force the minute she felt the pain. Ahsoka threw up a mental shield around herself, a desperate bubble of protection.
Rex stood next to her as they moved back to the ship, climbing in silently and setting course for a nearby planet. She watched the blue fly by, her heart panging as she saw a glimpse of his eyes, his lightsaber.
Rushing off to the Chancellor’s aid, that was the last she’d seen of him.
That was the last she’d ever see of him.
And I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
Obi-Wan wrapped his robe around himself tighter, a tear sliding down his cheek as Beru sent him a last, sad smile before disappearing into her home with Luke in her arms and Owen at her side.
Obi-Wan turned away, walking slowly off into the distance. When he’d walked away from Anakin’s burning body, he’d reached tentatively out into the Force, in search of his former Grandpadawan. He’d been met with a wall of nothingness, the same kind of nothingness you felt when someone was dead.
He’d lost both his brother, sister and best friend in one day.
He thought miserably of the shell of a man he called his brother he’d left behind.
The guilt was eating at him like a starved beast.
He clambered down into a canyon of sand and stone, ignoring the scrapes on his hands and the tears rolling down his face.
Jedi weren’t supposed to feel attachment, and he knew it, but now the Jedi were gone, so who was stopping him?
We’ve come a long way from where we began
Ahsoka thought back to her first meeting with Anakin and Obi-Wan. The arrogant version of Anakin she’d first met had turned more playful than rude in a matter of days.
She thought of the pain she’d first experienced, the tiring nature, the fear.
Jedi weren’t supposed to feel fear, but Ahsoka was no longer a Jedi.
She was never destined to be, she now realised.
She was destined to watch the fall of the Jedi, but not to be one that fell.
The Order was gone, and that was unnatural to Ahsoka.
She thought back to the days of roaming the hallways of the Temple, both of her brothers at her side. She’d never thought of the fall of the Order. She’d wondered about them perhaps losing the war, but never a fall. Anakin and Obi-Wan were powerful, sometimes she’d feared for the deaths, but never the both of them.
She now realised that was why it hurt so much, she hadn’t expected the fall, much less the death of her brothers.
Oh, I’ll tell you all about it when I see you again
Obi-Wan thought of the last mission they’d done together, him and Anakin. His head throbbed from the mere thought of being knocked unconscious by Dooku. He thought of the way they’d fought together, brothers side by side.
He thought of Onderon, the last mission all three of them had done. He remembered the abrupt fear on Ahsoka’s face when she’d heard they were leaving. Obi-Wan knew she was ready, but she didn’t believe that.
He thought of the days they spent together, brothers and sister, on the battlefield, on Coruscant, on different planets post-battle.
The days of cheer, joy, happiness, something he missed so much.
Never had he ever thought, during one of these times, about how much he would miss them.
He wondered if Ahsoka’s death had been painless, he hoped it had. He thought of how she would have felt the same feeling of utter betrayal he’d held when Cody had shot him. He thought of Rex, and how he would feel after killing his sister.
When I see you again
Ahsoka sat down on the bed. Her and Rex had arrived hours before on the planet, and rented a small house. She collapsed, her head in her hands as tears slipped between her fingers.
Obi-Wan slumped to the floor in the cave he was sheltering in, face buried in his arms. Tears rolled down his cheeks and onto the floor, creating small puddles in the dust and sand.
Ahsoka reached out into the Force with her last speck of hope. She reached for Anakin, then Obi-Wan, then Plo. All she felt was the same pain and nothingness.
Obi-Wan reached out for Ahsoka, in hopes of discovering a flicker of life. All he felt was the same nothingness and pain he’d felt when Anakin’s life had slipped away.
They sat in silence, only interrupted by the occasional sob.
Anakin reached out, for Obi-Wan and then Ahsoka. He felt a flicker of subtle life of Obi-Wan, and then the cold nothingness of Ahsoka.
Three people, broken to pieces, unaware of each other.
Three people, against the universe.
Three people, separated.
'We'll be alright, as long as we stay together.'
hope you enjoyed, please send requests, im desperate!!!
take care of urself <3

WIP Wednesday - Obianidala
For today's WIP Wednesday, I'm holding myself accountable in that I still owe the last day of the wonderful Obianidala Week event hosted earlier this year! I have half the chapter done already, I just need to get around to finishing the rest! So, to put a little pressure on myself AND to bring some pleasure to ya'll Obianidalas <3 Have a short preview! The last day was a free space and I picked the theme of "United" <3
Cast out from the library, but with plenty of time still to kill until The Evening, Anakin wandered the Temple like a gleeful spectre, creeping out Younglings and Masters alike with the ever present grin he could not seem to wipe off his face.
Tonight was going to be the best night of his life so far, of that he was sure. It had been a long time in the making and when he had first come to terms with the fact, that he felt the same love and desire for his former Master as he did for his gorgeous, beautiful, perfect wife, he had nearly spiraled out of control in panic, certain that he was about to lose everything.
For months, he had carried the burden of wanting, needing Obi-Wan in a way he could barely comprehend, while almost caving under the weight of the guilt he felt towards Padmé. He had shut himself away from both of them, hoping against all odds that the feelings would simply dissipate.
They did not. In fact, they only got stronger, desire fanning into a sense of lust that nearly burned him alive.
Then, on a lovely, balmy summer night, after he had just returned from a month-long deployment and was yearning for nothing more than his wife's arms (and his Master's, too), Padmé had simply asked. Or rather, stated.
"You are in love with Obi-Wan."
Anakin shivered, as he remembered that moment, the sheer terror he had felt, every muscle tensing up with anticipation for the inevitable fallout.
Padmé had simply smiled at him, carded a hand through his hair and said the unthinkable.
"Then you should tell him so."
Anakin remembered that moment just as well. He had gaped at her like a Fingerlip Garpon, forgotten how to breathe for several seconds even. Even when she had proceeded to reassure him that she saw no great issue in him loving two people equally and informing him that such arrangements were not uncommon on Naboo, he had thought he was dreaming, or worse, dying.
Padmé's approval, encouragement even, had been one thing. Actually going through with it and confessing his feelings to Obi-Wan had been quite another. It had taken him two more month and a near-death experience to finally blurt out the words and, in a moment of absolute panic, go so far as to simply kiss his Master.
Anakin remembered that moment just as well, the seconds ticking by as he danced on a knife's edge of elation and fear, while Obi-Wan's perfect, warm, soft lips remained still under his own.
For a moment, he had been absolutely certain that he had ruined everything, after all, when suddenly, he had been pulled forward by the hips, a large, calloused hand encircling his neck, as Obi-Wan had proceed to kiss him senseless.
They had had a long, thorough conversation about a lot of things after that, about feelings and arrangements and expectations and boundaries and it had left Anakin reeling a bit with the sheer enormity of it all.
The most terrifying moment, however, had been when Anakin had confessed about his marriage, to which Obi-Wan had only raised one perfect eyebrow and said, in the dryest tone imaginable: "You don't say."
Since then, Anakin's life had been pretty much perfect. He was still married to the most amazing woman in the galaxy, while also getting to be with his incredible Master and for a while he had been content with dividing his time between his two lovers.
Then, a week ago, Padmé had planted an idea in his head, dangling the possibility of a new arrangement in front of him, that would involve all three of them. Obi-Wan had, to Anakin's great surprise and relief, agreed quite readily.
They had decided on having dinner at Padmé's apartement first and then see where the evening would lead them. Anakin certainly hoped it would lead them to a large, comfortable bed and as little clothing as possible.
Oh, he was SO ready for the evening to arrive.

Now for the hard question: in your top 10 movie franchises list add in ALL of the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies in order of favorites.
Oh you have to ask the hard questions! Ok, let me see...in order for Star Wars:
Empire Strikes Back -- it is just such a good movie with some iconic Luke looks and Daddy-Son moments. It's so good and him with grandpa-Yoda is so cute. I also love how we see this lead up into Luke's change of perspective with everything.
Return of the Jedi -- Also great Luke and Daddy-Son moments. I think it barely inches over New Hope simply because I got to see it again on the 40th re-release in theaters and I was feral over how Luke looked. Also, loved the fighting scenes and we get Lando. I also happen to love the Ewoks.
New Hope -- May actually be in second place once RoJ-theater release gives me peace (need another few months). But this Luke is just so pure and whiny and I want to put him in my pocket forever and ever and ever. (let me throw this Luke at Din omg)
Revenge of the Sith -- UGH just UGH so god. Anakin is so hot in this and so messed up and this lead up is just fantastic and wonderful and absolutely tragic.
Rogue One -- I mean, how could I not adore this? It is absolutely AMAZING. Just heartbreaking with amazing graphics, awesome characters, and is only getting better thanks to the Andor series.
The Force Awakens -- Honestly, I adored this movie so much. It wasn't perfect, it needed more Luke and the original trio, but it had so much potential. I just thought it was leading up to something amazing and the memes Mark gave us after left me excited and laughing for a long time.
The Phantom Menace -- Part of this is spite-love for young Anakin and Jar Jar Binks; both deserve better. But honestly, I have rewatched this a few times recently and was all "this is actually great? why the hate?"
Attack of the Clones -- Honestly, I need to rewatch this again. It's just here cause I haven't rewatched it in a while and i don't know why. We get Jango! We get the Clones! Baby Boba! The SAND-QUOTE! Obi-Wan's mullet! The lead up to the Clone War series! Badass Yoda! Yeah, gotta do a re-watch.
Solo -- Again, i actually really enjoyed the movie. It wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. Honestly, there were just some weird choices for some story movements and character interactions but other than that? It was good. I need to rewatch it honestly.
The Last Jedi -- I hate, hate, hate what they did to my Luke. If they were going to go this route with him I'd understand 100% because it would make sense for him to to have so much PTSD and just be burnt out and so hurt (still, i think we have enough of this and deserve older heroes that are still full of hope and silly and are kind). But the execution and how he is made to be a loser is just wrong. There were also some other scenes and interactions that were "uh...no?" but the fight scenes were great, Po was great, I loved Rose, I loved Finn's story and realization. It was just really wonky, disjointed from what we were getting before, and I will keep my head-cannon Luke in my claws.
The Rise of Skywalker -- I...didn't like it. I saw it twice and actually checked the time till I could go home often (only have done that with like two other movies). It was so awkward, the dialogue was poor, the actors seemed done, there was so many random new stories thrown in at last second, characters were thrown away, "Palpatine somehow returned?" like...what??? It was just lame. Such a lame, lame ending. The OT-trio and the new trio deserved so much better. It needs a re-do.
Now for the Lord of the Rings!:
The Fellowship of the Ring -- Even though it wasn't the most action packed, what it sparked, how good it was...just AUGH perfection. I adore this movie so much.
The Two Towers -- Incredible, amazing, also perfect. Great action, all the characters are given their due-time (with Legolas making faces). I love it.
Return of the King -- AMAZING ENDING. The wraps up is just...the moments of suffering and the release. The HAPPINESS. How ever gets what they deserve (tho RIP Boromir) just adore it so much.
The Desolation of Smaug -- PERFECT. Except for maybe some off CGI, this movie was amazing. So much Bagginshield, the intense cliffhanger, the Arkenstone....it was so good. I adored this movie so much!
An Unexpected Journey -- I adore Bilbo. I love him so much. And how this opened up Bagginshield just how could I not adore it??
Battle of the Five Armies -- I didn't like it the first time I watched it. But a few more times I was "huh, actually, it's not bad!" It honestly should've been loads better. There were so many wonky decisions and everything that happened did not feel like it met up with the end of a trilogy. But the end....how everyone survived! Can you believe that there was absolutely NO HEARTBREAK WHAT'SO'EVER??

A Very Controversial Opinion...
But I honestly do not get the complete and utter support for Obi-Wan while people trash others who have dared to challenge him and his opinions such as Qui-Gon and Anakin. Obi-Wan is not perfect and I don’t get why people are trying to pretend he is. He’s actually got serious flaws too.
Obi-Wan is a good character, yes, but he has his shortcomings too. Watching Episode I as an adult these days only made me notice that Obi-Wan is not nice to Anakin from the moment they met despite having no reason to be mean, even badmouthing him while he’s standing *right there* and only takes him on as a Padawan because Qui-Gon asked him to. Hell, I think the very first time he calls Anakin by his name and not “the boy” or “pathetic life form” is at the end of the movie. The Council had decided Anakin had the potential to be dangerous despite only being nine-years-old so Obi-Wan didn’t question, and just followed their word, even getting mad at Qui-Gon for not listening too at one point. He tries to rebuke his own MASTER! But Qui-Gon never treated him the way Obi-Wan treats Anakin.
I also don’t stick with the headcanon floating around that Qui-Gon “just threw Obi-Wan to the wolves” so he could train Anakin instead. Qui-Gon is no fool and its clear that Obi-Wan WAS ready for the trials. He killed a freaking Sith who was very strong(and a badass) not long after that meeting for god’s sake. Granted, it seems he had to use his anger to do so, but he did even though using anger like that is something he scolds Anakin for regularly. Qui-Gon was not “trying to ditch him” and the fact that Maul actually survived doesn’t matter. Obi-Wan still beat him.
I’ll argue that Obi-Wan had numerous chances to prevent Anakin’s Fall but he didn’t listen most of the time, preached the Code at him despite breaking it himself, and even broke Anakin’s trust FIRST. He is too much of a stickler for rules and didn’t try to understand Anakin’s issues which resulted from his background as a slave when he also had to leave his mother behind at only nine years old. Anakin also implies that worse than that happened but he got NO help from anyone, including Obi-Wan in dealing with it. It’s not even just Obi-Wan really, it can be argued that the entire Jedi Order let Anakin down, starting with NO ONE questioning Palpatine’s interest in him and stopping their meetings. It took 13 years of conditioning and manipulation for Palpatine to finally push Anakin over the edge, but before this happened, Anakin had gone to Obi-Wan, Padme and even YODA but was brushed off by ALL THREE. Yet Padme and Obi-Wan get the support. They both claim to love him but both either couldn’t see or refused to see that he was struggling. All they saw was the Hero and Face of the Republic army. (Question: has Obi-Wan ever told Anakin he loved him to his FACE before the Mustafar fight? Could’ve made a difference if not. Probably.)
A bit dramatic, but if you think about it, the Jedi were treating Anakin as much of a slave as he was on Tatooine. Without the bomb of course but one could make the argument that Qui-Gon took him from one form of slavery to another. I know we all love the Ani-Obi brotherhood but the fact is, Obi-Wan has let him down several times, and yes the opposite happened too, and the light side lost the war against the Sith long before Episode III. They lost as soon as Qui-Gon was killed by Maul. Obi-Wan is not necessarily guilty of THIS, he’s just ignorant to the shortcomings of the Order as a whole.
One of the biggest things that bothers me really is that in Episode III, Obi-Wan maims Anakin to win the fight, YES he did warn him, but he did this and then just left him there to suffer a horrible death by burning alive made even worse when he didn’t actually die. Obi-Wan makes excuses for this, and even in Episode IV, still doesn’t take responsibility. No wonder Vader is so pissed off especially if one takes into account the rumor that Palpatine had rigged Vader’s surgery to keep him in perpetual pain and therefore below Palpatine in power. Not that Vader was trying to get away but still.
In comparison to that last, in the Episode IV Death Star confrontation, Vader actually grants Obi-Wan a much swifter end with a single swing of his lightsaber. Vader is a Sith but of the two, he gave the more humane end and to someone who he saw as an enemy, not to mention that Obi-Wan actually used this to manipulate Luke against Vader because he only stopped fighting after he saw Luke watching. At least Luke calls him out on this in Episode VI after he finds out the truth about Vader. I can argue the possibility that Padme may have gotten through to Anakin on Mustafar but we won’t ever know because Obi-Wan essentially betrayed her trust too by secretly stowing away on her ship, which is what caused Vader to turn on her.
Excuse my rant, but this is something in the fandom that bugs the ever loving heck out of me. It isn’t anti-ANYONE(except Palpatine), but some have their flaws and bad decisions glossed over and are made to look like perfect saints while others are made to look like horrid horrid people for daring to not agree with Obi-Wan and his decisions/opinions. Anakin was attacked since the prequels were made and I don’t agree with most of what people say, but I don’t understand where the sudden Qui-Gon bashing came from. Even several posts made “to remember Padme” are just covers to bash Anakin instead.
Off topic now, but some of the bashing of Anakin is getting out of hand. I found one where someone created a photoshop of Owen’s (deserved) remark against Obi-Wan in “Kenobi” and warping it to him making it against Anakin about not saving Shmi and someone else in the comments declared that it “was deserved! lol!!” Um no. It wasn’t and if anyone was to blame for that aside from the Tuskan Raiders, it was technically Cliegg Lars for letting her go out alone. But I digress.

You were reading a book about planets and their holidays that they celebrate. You got to one that peaked your interest. It was called Christmas and it looked super cool. You continued to read about it till you got to a part that said “usually loved ones give each other gifts during these times”.
You tilted your head at the book already having ideas of what to get Anakin if he agreed to celebrate it. You snapped the book shut and walked out the library. You started to walk towards Anakin's room only having to talk to a few other Jedi along the way.
You finally made it to his door which was very close to your room and knocked on the door. “Just a minute!” You heard him yell from inside. You smiled at his voice already excited to tell him all about this Christmas holiday.
He opened the door and leaned against it. “Well angel what are you doing here i thought you were supposed to be in the library?”
You smiled up at him and said “I was until I found this amazing book about holidays on so many planets! And now we are gonna celebrate one!”
“Oh? Are we now? what's it called?” He grabbed your hand and dragged you inside his room.
“It's called Christmas! Well it is now it used to be Yule- ok before i ramble on i was wondering if you want to do it this year?” You sat on his bed as he pulled up a chair near his bed.
He smiled softly at you. “Of course we can, dear what do people usually do for it?” He leaned up and put a piece of your hair behind your ear as he said it.
You blushed and replied to his question. “Well usually you give gifts and decorate but since there obviously not a lot of christmas decorations maybe we could just exchange gifts”
“That's a great idea” Anakin said. He could already see the happy gleam and your eyes as you talked about it so he was excited for the actual day. “When is it?”
“Well for them its….im not sure the name of the month but let's just celebrate it in about a week? It gives us enough time to buy gifts”
“Alright angel”
“I'll give you more details about it throughout the week bye Anakin!” You got up quickly and left. You already had so many ideas that you wanted to write down before you forgot.
***Time skip***
It's been a few days since you got Anakin to agree to celebrate and now it was time to shop. It's a few more days until you and Anakin we're gonna celebrate. You've told him that it's usually customary to wrap the gifts and get a tree but you both decided to just wrap the gifts.
You were browsing the market looking for stuff when something caught your eye. It was something you've seen Anakin wear until he lost it. You walked up to the vendor and pointed to it and asked what it was. “It's a Japor Snippet”. You asked how much and paid for it.
It was perfect to give to Anakin. You knew that the other one came from his mom and knew you couldn't ever replace this hoping to reconnect it to the memory of his mother. You hoped that instead it could be a new memory for him.
Anakin knew that it was getting closer to the day you were supposed to celebrate and he was panicking. He had no idea what to get you and quickly dragged Obi-Wan into helping him. “I have no idea what to get her” He was pacing back in fourth as Obi-Wan sat on the couch.
“This holiday is called christmas right?”
“Yes Master i've told you this already”
Obi-Wan rolled his eyes at the attitude Anakin had and said “Well how about instead of pacing back and forth and wasting time you go to the market or something and just look around?”
Anakin's eyes lit up “That's a great idea! You must come with me”
“No” Obi-Wan flatly said.
“Fine if you want to be stubborn then don’t come. You just won't get a gift from me then” Anakin walked out.
Before the door could close Obi-Wan yelled out “I don't even want a gift!”
“Yes you do!” Obi-Wan heard and then the door shut.
Anakin made it to the market and started to look around. He stayed there for about two hours about to give up when he spotted a bracelet. It was made out of the same two colors of yours and his padawan beads you used to have. He bought it and smiled. He finally had something to give you.
***Yes another time skip***
It was finally the day that you and Anakin were gonna celebrate and you were nervous. What if he didn't like the gift? Your thought spiraled for a bit until the timer went off. You set one so you knew when to go and get the food.
Both you and Anakin couldn't cook unless you wanted to burn down the whole temple so you agreed to go out and get food for the both of you.
You were on your way back after getting the food and brought it to your room to set on the table. After a few minutes of you setting it all up someone knocked on the door. You walked over and opened it
“Ani!”
He had a little bag with tissue paper at the top when he walked it. You hugged him and brought him to the table. “Food first?” You asked as he sat down. He agreed and you both opened up all the food and started eating.
You talked over many different topics until you both were done. It was finally time to open gifts and you both were excited. You moved down to the floor in front of your couch and went back and forth about who should go first.
Eventually he got you to go first. You grabbed the bag and took out the tissue paper. There was a box inside which you grabbed out and opened it. You let out a small gasp at what it was. A bracelet that had both the colors of your old padawan beads on it.
Anakin looked at you from where he was sitting across from you and smiled. “Oh wow Anakin i love it thank you thank you thank you!” You jumped up from where you were sitting and leaned over to hug him. He laughed and hugged you back. “Ok ok my turn now”
You kissed his cheek and sat back down. You handed him his gift and bit your bottom lip in nervousness.
He smiled to reassure you and ripped off the wrapping paper. He opened the box that you wrapped and stayed silent as he saw what was in it. You saw his eyes widened a little bit and you started to talk out of nervousness “I know you had one your mom gave you a-and i just thought you might like it but i can always take it back”
He looked up and his eyes were filled with tears. You eyes widened “oh no dont cry im sorry ill take it back”
He let out a small laugh and said “No Y/N i love it thank you”
He got up and hugged you. You breathed a sigh of relief and hugged him back. “I'm glad you like it Anakin i was worried”
“Of course i like it angel it's from you”
He kissed the top of your head as he said it. You smiled at him and drug him to sit on the couch. “Alright now it's time for this thing called hot chocolate”
“What's that?”
“Well I'm guessing it's just…melted chocolate i have no idea”

a couple of lovesick padawans
My lovely friend, Rosie (@pathetic-lifeform) sent me the following prompt:
A lazy morning + "It doesn't work that way." (Bonus points for one of them (or both) wearing the other's clothing) And extra bonus points for white hairs mention 🤭
And it also happened to fill a square on my @obikin-events bingo card!
----
established relationship • obikin • 1.2k words • read on ao3 instead
Vaguely aware that he wasn't in his own bed, in his own room, in his own apartment, Anakin awoke searching for the warmth he'd gone to sleep with. He reached out with his flesh hand, finding only cold, empty sheets. And cold meant Anakin had been alone for a while. Anakin pouted at no one in particular. Why couldn't Obi-Wan ever just have a lazy morning with him? Couldn't the galaxy wait one single day? The war was over. They'd won and saved the Republic, as well as each other along the way.
Didn't they deserve one morning?
Anakin's stomach growled.
Coruscant's sun was well up, meaning it was probably fairly late. No wonder Obi-Wan was gone. He'd probably got hungry himself and couldn't wait any longer. Or else, someone needed him for Council business. Or perhaps he was called on to substitute teach for some youngling class.
Obi-Wan could never resist the call. He was the consummate Jedi.
Anakin still wasn't. But he was trying to be with Obi-Wan’s help. Always his teacher even though Anakin had not been his padawan for some time now.
He closed his eyes and reached out with the Force in an attempt to locate Obi-Wan. There, somewhere far off, almost too far off, was Obi-Wan – a single, golden thread of calm in the raging sea that was the Force to Anakin.
And yet… He still felt very close. He was probably not off-world. Perhaps at least even still in the Temple.
Well, Anakin could work with that.
He stretched and turned over, eyes widening when he found just the man he'd been searching for.
Obi-Wan was sitting cross-legged in the middle of his bedroom floor, eyes closed, hands resting on his knees, face calm – the perfect picture of serenity.
The morning sun's rays came in through the slats in the blinds illuminating his former master, casting him in a yellow-gold light. Anakin's breath caught in his throat.
He was, of course, older now – they all were –  but still just as beautiful. Perhaps even more so. The morning light made his hair look redder than usual, as well as drawing more attention to the white hair at his temples which had become more pronounced near the end of the war. The laugh lines and eye crinkles that Anakin loved to kiss were longer and deeper now, but they spoke of a life well-lived.
But more than those things, perhaps in his haste to throw on some clothes in the dark, Obi-Wan had inadvertently grabbed Anakin’s tunic instead. It was only just slightly larger than Obi-Wan’s own, but Anakin was broader across the shoulders, so the left side had slipped to open the neckline into a slightly wider V, showing a bit of collarbone and greying chest hair. There was also a light red mark right above his heart that Anakin remembered putting there two nights before.
There was just something about Obi-Wan in darker colors that made Anakin's stomach flip. Especially his own darker colors.
That old familiar insatiable heat pooled low in his gut. It took everything ounce of restraint Anakin owned to not jump Obi-Wan then and there.
So instead he tucked his hands under his head on the pillow and continued to watch, hoping Obi-Wan would be done soon.
His old master must have been quite deep into his meditation for Anakin not to sense him so close by. It was something Obi-Wan had only been able to achieve since the war's end when the darkness surrounding them all had dissipated. And he'd been trying to teach Anakin, with no success. So far, anyway.
Twenty more minutes went by and Anakin's patience was really wearing thin. His stomach continued to rumble, but he didn't want to get up and eat on the off chance that Obi-Wan would maybe actually get back in bed with him. He wanted that more than anything.
Finally, finally Obi-Wan’s eyes opened.
He blinked slowly, blue eyes shining as they landed on Anakin. The corner of his mouth turned up in a delicious little smirk.
"Good morning, Anakin," he said, his voice low and rough from disuse that morning. "I didn't think you'd ever wake up."
Anakin scowled and pushed himself up on his elbow, "I've been lying here for almost half an hour waiting on you, thank you very much!"
Obi-Wan chuckled as he shifted to his knees, remaining in a kneeling position. Anakin wanted to be annoyed but when Obi-Wan pulled his hands above his head and stretched his arms slowly from side to side, his tunic rode up revealing more of his muscular thighs. Anakin couldn't even think of why he would be mad in the first place. His mouth was suddenly dry.
"Are you just going to stare all morning? Or are you going to get up and get us some breakfast?"
"How about the third option where you get back in bed and we make out like a couple of lovesick padawans?"
Obi-Wan laughed brightly, mouth open showing all his teeth. He stood and twisted from side to side, continuing his morning stretches.
"You know there are even more stretches you can do over here… with me," Anakin tried again, waggling his eyebrows.
Obi-Wan huffed a laugh, "You know it doesn't work that way."
"Who says? This is your apartment, you make your own rules. And anyway, do you have somewhere better to be?"
Surprisingly, Obi-Wan walked back over towards the bed. But even more surprisingly, he lifted Anakin’s tunic up and over his head and dropped it to the floor, revealing the slightly softer but still lithe form beneath. Turned out he had been wearing only the tunic. Anakin was also now completely speechless.
Obi-Wan stood beside the bed, placed his hands on his hips and looked down at Anakin. "Well, move over then."
Anakin's eyebrows shot into his hairline – he could hardly believe it actually worked. He scrambled towards his side of the bed as he pulled back the covers quickly, making way for Obi-Wan to jump back into bed. As soon as he did, he wasted no time reaching out to grab Anakin and pull him close into a tight embrace. Anakin couldn't help but laugh.
"Is this what you wanted?" Obi-Wan growled into his ear as he began to tickle Anakin’s sides. Anakin laughed and kicked his feet as he tried to extricate himself from Obi-Wan’s very firm grasp. The man had always been very deceptively strong.
"Obi-Wan! Stop! This is not what I meant!" Anakin whined as he laughed. Obi-Wan was also relentless when he learned how ticklish Anakin was.
It went on like this for a few more minutes until Obi-Wan finally stopped, pinning Anakin to the mattress.
"Yield, Anakin," Obi-Wan panted as he smiled down at the younger man.
"Never!" Anakin replied as he used his last bit of strength to surge up and kiss Obi-Wan. He then used the element of surprise to flip them over and straddle his hips, holding Obi-Wan’s hands down at his sides. "Do you yield, old man?"
Obi-Wan sighed, "Only ever to you."
Anakin smiled brightly as he leaned down to give him a soft kiss this time. Then his stomach growled again. Obi-Wan chuckled under his breath, breaking their kiss.
"How about breakfast then making out like a couple of lovesick padawans?"
Anakin huffed a laugh, "A brilliant compromise from a famed negotiator."

Scenario: either the Council says no to training Anakin or when padawan Anakin wants to leave the order Obi-Wan goes w/him (like he told Yoda in the comic.) For the sake of taking some of the complications out everyone except Yoda thinks their dead. Obi-Wan still trains Anakin but is no longer considered a Jedi. Do you think Satine & Obi-Wan would get together? If so, would it change her outlook on how she's leading? Would Obi-Wan put together counseling w/Bo? Would Anakin get a jetpack?
Oh wow, loaded question, anon!
First of all, this has given me the image of small!Anakin decked out in mini-me Mandalorian armor (jetpack included, obviously), flying around yelling, "Yipee!" while Obi-wan just buries his head in his hands.
So yeah, let's just say that happens, because I need entertainment in my not-so-young life.
And you know, this has all the hallmarks of great comedy. Let's say that Obi-wan does take refuge on Mandalore (he's out of credits, he's tired, and he needs a place where the Jedi are unlikely to intervene). And so he arrives on Satine's doorstep, Anakin in tow. ("I didn't know where else to go," he says, Anakin peeking from behind Obi-wan's robes).
This is all well and good for a while, Obi-wan and Satine doing their damndest to avoid each other, all while Anakin offers his usual deft and subtle commentary on the matter ("You like her, Obi-wan." "Quiet, Anakin").
But then here's where things get truly hilarious. Because there have to be some Death Watch members spying from within Satine's government, word gets back to Bo-Katan that the Jedi (no one needs to say which Jedi. It's always Kenobi) is back in town and worse, there is a foundling.
Now Bo-Katan, who is wildly aware (against her will) of the details of Satine's torrid history with Obi-wan, knows better. This is no foundling, and so she now arrives on Satine's doorstep in the middle of the night, a single statement on her lips.
"You had a child with the Jedi."
And the thing is, that math works. She's not entirely sure how old this bastard child is, but she has a rough estimate from the intel her operatives gave her and it fits the timeline.
Satine, of course, denies this, but Bo-Katan, seeing the blond hair and Force abilities, jumps to what she feels is the obvious conclusion. And now, she really starts to think. This is her nephew (it's not, but you know how stubborn Bo-Katan is). She wonders if she could take him to Death Watch. They have no love lost for Jedi, but when Bo-Katan learns Obi-wan actually left the Order ("I didn't think he had it in him," she says), all bets are off. The child is a Force-wielder, but no Jedi. This, she thinks, could pay off well for Death Watch and their cause.
Anyway, at this point, we could go the tragic route of kidnappings and civil war between sisters (which is likely the more realistic scenario) or we could go the Shakespearean comedy of errors route (which is what I'm leaning towards for this scenario), where Obi-wan, because he's Obi-wan, uncovers the Death Watch plot, Bo-Katan has a change of heart, and happily ever after, etc. etc. etc.
But I'm late for a meeting, so I'll end this one here :)

50 and 57 for the trope thing if you want to :D
oh you caught me in my feelings tonight huh
50. Arranged Marriage + 57. Forgotten First Meeting
So! Anakin and Obi-Wan meet at a hostel in some country foreign to both of them. They're both there for roughly a week for wildly different reasons. Obi-Wan is probably going through either a divorce or a career change, but either way he won't talk about it. Anakin got halfway through his college degree and dropped out. They're both trying to find themselves. They find each other instead.
But only for that week where their traveling plans overlap. Anakin isn't even being dramatic when he wonders if he loves Obi-Wan or not. But they only have a bit. They only have a week. Obi-Wan leaves, and Anakin can't help but think about all the stories that leave with him. He didn't know him nearly as well as he wanted to. It wasn't enough, that week they spent going around the city together. But--well. It was all they had. Any stories Obi-Wan has left to tell will stay with him. They'll never be Anakin's, and that hurts almost more than the goodbyes do.
Fast forward likeeee five years. Anakin went back to school and got a degree in like idk business. And he's actually really, really, really good at it. He climbs the hierarchy fast. Everyone wants to work with him. His mentor, Palpatine, starts being worried about losing Anakin to a competitor, so he tells the boy (25 year old) who trusts him that what he needs to do to be taken seriously by all these old, indentured sort of business families is marry into one. and luckily, Palpatine knows of an old business family whose son is on the market for a second marriage that would be sorta like a merger.
Palpatine's company is rotten on the inside, of course, though Anakin doesn't know it. His plan is to merge his company with another through marriage (Anakin, because he has no kids of his own), and then slowly take it over. Or at the very least, retire on a huge merger check.
And the one company he knows with a CEO looking for marriage....is Obi-Wan's. Is Obi-Wan himself.
And of course Anakin remembers Obi-Wan, though he doesn't know it's him until he gets to the boardroom and sees him standing there. So of course he goes to hug him, and Obi-Wan pretends not to recognize him----
(because it is pretend, of course. One does not simply forget a man like Anakin, especially if you're Obi-Wan Kenobi. He just can't know if he should trust Anakin anymore. He might be Palpatine's man, and he's had his suspicions about Palpatine for a while.)
But happy ending of course, Obi-Wan obviously does confess to remembering Anakin---probably by accident through something let slip during sex like 'remember how we fucked in the cabin alderaan' or something---Anakin forgives him for lying, Anakin quits Palpatine's company once Obi-Wan shows him how many things don't add up, and they live happily ever after <3
send me 2 tropes from this list and i'll tell you how i'd combine them in a story

@gildatheplant via this post
I wanted to make this a whole new post rather than clog up the OP's notes on something that's not totally related, but I LOVED these tags!
I'm a huge personal believer in the idea that Anakin's master likely wouldn't have mattered much. He and Obi-Wan do clearly get along quite well, but he doesn't love Obi-Wan at all when Obi-Wan becomes his master. He barely knows Obi-Wan at all. So you could make the argument that he might have ended up equally as attached to whoever became his master, whether it was Obi-Wan, or Yoda, or Mace, or Luminara, or Shaak Ti, or Kit Fisto, or Plo Koon, or Quinlan Vos*. It wouldn't really matter.
Because yeah, Palpatine is the major cause of what Anakin becomes. Anakin's got issues, but they're issues the Jedi could probably help Anakin overcome if given the time and space to do so. It's Palpatine poisoning Anakin against their teachings that keeps him from being able to actually follow the teachings he preaches.
Note that I do NOT think Anakin would've ever made a good Jedi. But I think with proper training, Anakin would've been able to embody Jedi TEACHINGS: mindfulness, acceptance, compassion, etc.
And a LARGE part of that is removing him from Palpatine's presence.
Which wouldn't happen with any of the usual suspects when you see people wondering about alternative masters for Anakin. A lot of them are Council members which, prior to the war, meant that a lot of them probably spent a good amount of time on Coruscant. Which is where Palpatine spends his time, too.
Which means that, ironically, had Yoda and the Council just stuck to their guns about not letting Anakin into the Order and Obi-Wan left the Order to train Anakin the way he threatens to, Anakin might've been better off. Obi-Wan and Anakin either go back to Tatooine to deal with that situation and then go off traveling/training again, or they do their wanders early without immediately running back to Tatooine, or WHATEVER. But they probably don't stay on Coruscant that much if at all. Which takes him pretty far out of Palpatine's ability to manipulate Anakin.
There are also other Jedi that exist in Legends I think that tend to spend VERY little time on Coruscant.
Nico Diath, who apparently spends most of his time out in the Outer Rim FREEING SLAVES and who takes his own nephew as his Padawan.
Jon Antilles who ends up on so many undercover missions that he apparently just gets declared dead over and over again and no one ever really knows where he is until he pops up again. This seems like it would REALLY fuck with Palpatine's plans in the funniest possible way.
Anyway, I love that there's a component to Anakin's fall that shows that it's really NOT the master he gets that matters here. Because what happens to Anakin isn't ABOUT the Jedi. It's a combination of Anakin's own failures and Palpatine's manipulations. The Jedi do as much as they are capable of doing with the information and resources they have, and it's not enough. That's not on them. Nothing they did, nothing any alternative master did, would have made a difference. Anakin wouldn't have necessarily fallen faster OR slower, he wouldn't have been saved by any one particular master.
The only thing that would save him is just getting him out of Palpatine's vicinity. Which only happens through pure accident rather than any sort-of knowing choice made on the part of the Jedi.
As Jean-Luc Picard and Beyonce have told us, you can do everything right, work really hard and give everything you have, and still lose. It's not weakness, it's not failure. That's how life works.
*I am only excluding Qui-Gon here because Anakin DOES have a previous relationship with Qui-Gon that he could pull on. This would change their dynamic in a way that doesn't exist for anyone else, including Obi-Wan. This is not a commentary on whether Qui-Gon would've been a good or bad master for Anakin in general, just an acknowledgment that Anakin might've been MORE attached to Qui-Gon due to their more recent history together, and so he does not fit into this pattern or this argument.

Ok so re: your post about Ahsoka being like "I won't leave you, not this time" vs obi wan leaving him in the dirt, again; what do u think that says about the diff ways they loved Anakin/relationship with him, cuz my brother is always trying to blame Ashoka for his downfall while Obi “did the best he could” and I’m like nah he isn’t completely blameless here even tho Anakin bears the most fault as a grown man with free will and whatnot
What an extremely wonderful question. I don't believe in "putting effort" into "asks" but this is literally Star Wars so I'm gonna! It's your lucky day.
The way I've always thought about Anakin's fall is thus: Anakin is precariously balanced on top of a wall made of bricks. Between the time he's taken from his mother to the point where he falls, those bricks have been falling out or have been getting pulled out. When that wall is gone, he crumbles. In the ruin of the life he's spent the past 13 years building, he becomes Vader.
One of those bricks is Ahsoka leaving the Order.
I think one of the big things Ahsoka and Obi-Wan have in common is how much they love Anakin. He's their family and they're his family, in a way that perhaps transgresses the boundaries of what is acceptable for Jedi. I think, however, that Ahsoka and Obi-Wan are both willing to put something else ahead of their relationship with Anakin; for Obi-Wan, it's his Jedi duty and his responsibility to follow the Jedi code and to follow the orders of his superiors. Yoda says jump, and he asks how high. He still fails to kill Anakin because of his transgressive love for him, but he's willing to leave in order to do his duty. This never changes; he won’t finish the job in the Kenobi show, but he will leave.
Ahsoka, on the other hand, leaves the Jedi Order and leaves Anakin because the Jedi betrayed her. She realizes that those who were providing her moral compass and setting the guidelines for her life are not actually interested in preserving her life. She’s a child sent to the front lines in a war where children command battalions. She ends up being a scapegoat for the sake of convenience, offered up to a corrupt Senate by a cowed Jedi Council, and she correctly leaves the Order after that.
So, sure, she kicks a brick out of that wall that Anakin’s built. However, one missing brick does not a total collapse make. Anakin, at that point, is free to patch up that hole or perhaps build a whole new wall (e.g., by leaving the Jedi Order, spending time with his wife, and taking up professional podracing or whatever), but unfortunately he also thinks his wall is fine.
Besides Anakin himself being responsible for his own bad choices, I think Obi-Wan has a huge role to play. He’s the one who was responsible for Anakin for ten years as Anakin’s Jedi master; he’s the one responsible for teaching Anakin how to control himself, how to deal with his emotions/attachments, and what to do if the Jedi Order is simply not a good fit for Anakin personally (which it isn’t). Obi-Wan does none of those things effectively and makes things worse by asking Anakin to, as he feels, betray the Republic (which Anakin has spent the last three years defending in an active war zone). Obi-Wan was responsible for him, he failed, he left.
Ahsoka is not at all responsible for Anakin’s emotional state; quite the opposite, he’s responsible for hers since he is her Jedi master. They both formed an attachment with each other, but she’s not in charge of how he feels about her absence.
That being said, I think Ahsoka does feel some measure of guilt for leaving him (although I personally think she shouldn’t at all ever, but that’s fine). She finds out Anakin is Vader and says “I won’t leave you. Not again.” She thinks that maybe if she had been there, he wouldn’t have fallen. A friend and I were talking about this actually; she’s of the opinion Anakin would not have fallen if Ahsoka had been there, and I firmly believe Anakin would have fallen no matter what. Ahsoka is one brick. She’s one piece of the catastrophe of what happened, and not even the biggest piece.
If Obi-Wan did the best he could, his best simply was not good enough, and that’s a massive (and, I feel, inaccurate) assumption to make in the first place.
tldr your brother is insane, love and light. i’m sure he’s great, but he’s wrong. light and love.

As someone who constantly keeps re-reading 'Falling Into Light' and patiently awaits for 'A Light in the Dark' updates, I have so many questions AKXJEJJSNXNDMEKSKKHHFBRHDJ so, here are some of them (because I forgot the rest)
Do you believe in the Darth Jar Jar theory?
Do you think Sidious truly used Padmé's lifeforce to ensure Vader lived?
Will Rogue One survive in ALITD? 🥹
Do you ever see Anakin and Rey actually marrying and having kids? Like, I don't know, seems like a dream, but what do you think?
That's all from me! Seriously, from the core of my heart, thank you for writing your stories, I absolutely love all of them, even the HP ones. Your ideas are marvellous and mind-blowing <33 (and also that you might have inspired a fic from my end and it's currently in the drafting stage akxbejsjjsjsndnjds full credits to you <33)
Again, thank you so so much. Have a wonderful day/night ahead <33
Thanks so much for the ask. I rarely get asks, so I’m just completely tickled pink right now. And your words are so very kind. Thank you 💜
So, onto your questions… I do not believe in the Darth Jar Jar theory. I figured that because the Emperor was human (albeit an extremely wrinkly one) in the original trilogy, that there was no way Jar Jar was the Sith Lord. For me it was and has always been Palpatine. The fact that Jar Jar has yellow eyes, well… so do plenty of other beings in Star Wars. Doesn’t mean anything.
I’m still humming and hawing over the Padme life force thing. It could work, and I think that it does work a lot better than George Lucas’ ‘she died of a broken heart’ excuse. It would totally be something that Palpatine would do, too. His whole thing with Anakin was to get him alone. Whether that was in the chancellors office for their meetings, social visits, etc. or splitting Anakin from all of his supports — Obi-Wan, the Jedi Order (not that they were super supportive of Anakin personally), Ahsoka (I have to watch the Clone Wars still, but I’ve a feeling Palpatine was the one who orchestrated Ahsoka being framed for the terrorist attack(??) against the Order. He shook her belief in the Order and at the very least indirectly caused her to walk away from it), and finally Padme. He kept coming between her and Anakin throughout their “secret” relationship. I feel, at the very least, Anakin knows that Palpatine had something to do with her death.
I’m not sure with Rogue One surviving ALITD. They won’t die on Scarif, I can say that at least. But, I don’t know if they will survive everything. I kind of ignored them in Falling Into Light, and I know that I don’t want to do that in ALITD. But whether they survive to the epilogue, I don’t know. The same thing with Boba Fett. I know how I want to introduce him into ALITD, but beyond that I’m not entirely sure what to do with him. (Not that you asked about Boba, but he was on my mind)
I can definitely see Rey and Anakin in a committed relationship, whether that’s marriage or not 🤷‍♀️ I’m not big on marriage myself, having grown up in a home that looked perfect from the outside, but had parents that complained to their kids (me) about one another. It’s left me quite jaded and cynical in regards to marriage being a dream/fairytale, etc. but who knows? Perhaps. If it feels natural in ALITD, it might happen. The same thing with kids. Although, I’m not sure either Rey or Anakin would consider themselves fit to have kids. They definitely aren’t at present in the story, but…we’ll see.

so on the subject of punishment... would obi-wan ever ban anakin from masterbation?? like i get the whole 'u can't come unless i say u can or unless i make u do it' which is usually funishment can also be applied to real punishment. but masturbating can be a type of self care and it usually falls under the umbrella of 'alone time' so what do u think? would he restrict anakin from it? would anakin have had to have done something particularly bad for his punishment to be that far reaching? and on that same subject, when anakin is being punished, (like those times when the punishment stretches over several days) do they still have sex or is there a sex ban? cuz i can't imagine feeling particularly sexy and attracted to a partner when i know they're upset with me and r trying to teach me a serious lesson. is it considered cruel to ban sex/masturbation when those 2 acts r actually a quite important factor in their relationship and dynamic? (i know that sexual activity isn't required for ppl to have a fulfilling relationship, or even a fulfilling dom/sub dynamic so i'm not implying that it's all that gives a relationship any type of value) i wonder what kind of effect it would have on their relationship if anakin was in the middle of a week long serious punishment and anakin tried to initiate sex and obi-wan rebuffed him and said there would be no sex of any kind until the end of the punishment? OR. would obi-wan allow anakin to masturbate but only with obi-wan's supervision as well as instructions to make it as efficiently quick as possible (no opportunity to derive pleasure, simply a chance to burn off restless energy and come quickly) so as to keep anakin in line and make sure he getting up to no good. this falls in line with the idea of no alone time and total supervision and it does have the added little perk of lots of humiliation (even if that's not the intent). does any of this put strain on their sexual intimacy after the punishment is over? or do they carry on where they left off, using this moment as a learning experience and moving on? anyways sorry this is so long but i just had to ask! i love ur most recent chapter btw!
No apologies necessary, friend!!
As for controlling Anakin’s masturbation, I definitely think Obi-Wan would do that. Especially because Obi-Wan is pretty into the idea of controlling Anakin’s orgasms just in general.
As for the possibility of sex during a prolonged punishment, I think they still might because that’s a way for them to connect and be comforted, but probably not quite in the same way as they normally would, if that makes sense. Like I could see it as softer sex for aftercare and comfort and reassurance versus the end goal being “getting off.”
This was an interesting question!! Thank you, Anon!

❝  you love me too much.  i know how that sounds but—  fucking hell.  you shouldn’t care that much about someone like me.  ❞ ( for padme ! )
Tumblr media
"What the sith spitting hells are you talking about?!" Padme started as his words continued. Normally, she wasn't one to cuss though this had to be the type of situation to do it in. At first, the brunette had planned to remind him that he was worth all the love that she could give and press her mouth in butterfly kisses to his exposed skin. A gentle reminder that he was the most precious thing to her in this universe even if it meant the republic would fall tomorrow. There was no world where she couldn't be selfish were his love was concerned. They were owed this bit of happiness in their world of sacrifices for the sake of the people in this galaxy. The bleeding hearted young doe fearful of the darkness creeping forward had now morphed into anger. Anger that he could still think of himself that way even anger at herself for not showing him how worthy he was. It was one of the vows she had made on her own visit to Shmi's grave. Anakin was now hers to cherish and make smile despite the pounding of rain that was pressed against their blue skies. He had told her once that he was Anakin and not a slave or anything else that fact had not changed. Tears glistened her coffee stained eyes though they were fought with an attempt to blink them away. This was about Anakin's feelings and she needed to hear them. If he saw her unraveling at his words, he would shut down or apologize for yelling and pulling her into his side. As his wife, she needed to hear this no matter how heartbreaking it sounded. He knew her tell of allowing her hands to slightly shake occasionally covered by fixing the edges of her dress when anxiety and pain truly bared down as their weren't many options to a royal. Instead, her fingernails were drawing bloody half moons against the gentle skin of her palms. Brown orbs holding a fire that threatened to burn them both were they stood. "First, don't talk to me like that. Second, who do I have to kill? When you left this morning, you smiled and told me to remember to actually rest at some point. Now, I come home to you pacing like a caged animal and you blow up like that. You deserve love, Anakin! You are smart, wonderful, kind, handsome, loyal, gifted, and brave. I could make a thousand volumes of dictionaries when describing the good things about you. I love you more then my next breath and without you i'd probably just want to die. I won't let your head or anyone else's try to tell you that you are not perfect and worthy of all I can give and more. If anyone is the problem, It's me. Clearly I haven't done enough or showed you enough. I am always open to hear your heart. it happens to be my favorite song to listen too even if you have never ever yelled at me like that. My love is not something to earn even if you have been worth more than any that I could give a thousand times over. You know that sand you hate? I have more good thoughts about you and feelings of love then there are grams in that sand. Not because your the chosen one, but because you are you. I will not allow the stupid prejudices of others to make you think you are scum. If I was the slave, would you think it was my fault? Would you blame me? No. Loving you is the greatest joy of my life. Since I have told you about this baby, you act like your going to break me with your touch or your love. I am not so easily broken and you are going to be the greatest father even Obi-wan would agree. You will learn and that is understandable. Please."
