I'm just gonna rant my chest out regarding the recent Watcher's announcement because I'm still trying to process wtf has just happened & it's pretty late at night. (For the record, I'm one of their international viewers from a 3rd world country.)
It sucks that I cannot buy their official merch that is already expensive (due to conversion rates) + not being able to deliver in my country when I've some spare cash. That's fine by me.
It sucks that I cannot go & watch their live shows being available at certain countries that doesn't cost a damn fortune (plane tickets, hotel bookings, converting currency, etc.) + not in a million years they'll stop by SEA to do tours/live shows. That's also fine by me.
However, the way how they hyped up the announcement mentioning big things are coming only to just drop a video saying "Hey, we're leaving Youtube as the money ain't flowing much to cover our 'extravagant' expenses & all future contents will be locked behind a paywall. So if you're unable to watch most of your beloved shows because you can't pay then toodles!" That's NOT fine by me, let alone anyone else in the matter.
Even if I've a fuck ton of money to spare, I'm still not buying their monthly/yearly WatcherTV subscription because it's JUST. NOT. WORTH. IT. Who wants to buy a monthly yet alone yearly subscription just to watch 1-2 episodes of a show I like being put out weekly per season & then waiting for some time before another new season of another show that has a 50-50 chance whether I enjoy it or not pops up to fill the void? Not me, that's for sure. Damn, I rather subscribe to Netflix or buy YouTube premium if I could because the money spent is worth the content I can get on a monthly/yearly basis.
I get putting exclusive contents such as BTS, special interviews/podcasts, early access to episodes, etc. behind a paywall since they're just nice bonuses for fans who're able to support them but locking REGULAR YOUTUBE content that's not being released consistently & have nothing much to offer behind a paywall? I think you're losing your crackers on this one chief.
After watching the announcement video, I feel plainly numb & disappointed that this is the route they're going for. I understand they need the funds to make videos, pay people & also wanting the freedom to make content that you want to make without adhering to the restrictions of advertisers. I get it.
But what I don't get is this mind numbing decision to spit at the faces of people who can't afford to fork out some cash to enjoy their once free favourite shows that helped cheer them up during the tough times. It's even more disgusting what I heard from Coffeezilla's recent video about Watcher mentioning that they don't even give out a free WatcherTV subscription to their Patreon members as a way to say thank you for your patronage is really saying something eh?
_____________________________
4 years ago, I found Shane & Ryan via Buzzfeed Unsolved just like everyone else randomly being recommended to me on Youtube. I binge watched all seasons of Buzzfeed Unsolved exactly at the same time they're announcing their departure from Buzzfeed to go do their own content at Watcher. What's this? A channel where I can watch the ghoul boys do their own thing? Hell yeah, sign me tf up.
It's really nice to see Watcher growing & trying out new different shows. I'm aware not all the shows they put out matches my taste & that's fine by me. Probably there's an audience out there who enjoy these shows that aren't for me.
I remember the time I was excited when they bring in Ghost Files & Mystery Files which can fill in the Buzzfeed Unsolved void. Are You Scared? & Too Many Spirits are the shows I enjoy listening to them as background noise so that I can focus on my work.
Puppet History & Top 5 Beatdown is where I enjoy the chemistry between the talents & guests. Weird, Wonderful, World & Tourist Trapped is where I enjoy seeing cool places run by passionate people & is like a nice, come hangout with me type of video blogs.
4 years later, this is where I'll be hopping off with the knowledge that I can't no longer be able to enjoy all these shows anymore like I used to just because I can't afford to whip out some measly cash to pay for regular content that I can easily find on Youtube for free.
Even if you leave up the old videos on Youtube (after you've backpedalled your decision to remove all the videos entirely in the first place due to the backlash & gaslighting us into thinking we misunderstood but your Variety article says otherwise), the whole ordeal just makes the experience to re-watch all the content that I used to love & enjoy feels awkward & left a sour, bitter taste in my mouth.
With a very heavy heart, I say thank you for the fun shows you have been putting out these past 4 years & farewell to Team Watcher. I don't know how're you going to recover from this but I wish you a best of luck moving forward.

“Don’t start it without me,” you shouted from the kitchen.
“I would never!” Fox answered.
“That’s what you said last week and still you started it without me,” you said, placing a bowl of sunflower seeds on the table in front of the TV.
“I skipped the intro!”
“You started it without me.”
“Alright, fine. But see the TV isn’t even on yet.”
You sat down on your end of the couch, on Mulder’s left, pulling up your feet and balancing a bowl of blueberries on the armrest.
“Ready?” he asked.
“Ready!” you answered, flashing him a smile.
Watching Unsolved Mysteries together had been your thing since forever. It usually always went the same way. You wouldn’t be able to see each other for a few weeks, so you would get together on a Friday night, order food and binge all the episodes you had missed. Tonight wasn’t an exception. And while devouring a pizza, you made your way through two episodes.
You wouldn’t admit it to him, but you were getting pretty tired. Usually, you went on watching mysteries all night. During the actual episodes, you were both awfully quiet but it’s only because you knew what was coming next. You would spend several minutes exposing your own theories and, to be honest, arguing when it came to the supernatural. It’s not that you didn’t believe in aliens or ghosts, it would actually be pretty neat if they were real, but you just didn’t have enough proof. And Mulder was Mulder. But this week had been way too long and you could already feel your eyes getting heavy.
And so the episode started. And as soon as they said ‘unexplained lights above Michigan’ you knew it was going to be a good one, although the argument could get very heated. You both sat there really quietly and attentively listening to what was being said. You made mental notes of stuff that didn’t make sense to you and of any interrogations you had left.
As soon as the credits started, you turned to face Mulder on the couch, sitting with your legs crossed under you.
“You go first,” you said.
“You can’t say that wasn’t weird!” he said, “So many people seeing the same thing and there’s no explanation.”
“I’m not saying it wasn’t weird, but… I could be something else than aliens.”
“How?” he said almost offended.
“Government conspiring to hide stuff from the average citizens. Just because they don’t have a reasonable answer it doesn’t mean there isn’t one.”
“But you heard the guy from the National Weather Service…”
“He couldn’t explain what he saw on the radar but that doesn’t mean it’s unexplainable!”
“But he ruled out everything!” he said, raising his voice.
“Everything he could! His point of you was just one of many,” you said, matching his tone.
“Even then, 300 people reporting UFOs, that can’t be just a coincidence.”
“Have you heard of the Dancing Plague of 1518?”
“Wait, is that… is that the one argument you keep bringing back,” he said sarcastically.
“Ha, ha.”
“You know I won this one,” he said, looking at you softly.
“I guess…” you conceded.
The tension that had built up suddenly disappeared.
You took the now empty blueberry bowl and placed it on the table, before curling up by Mulder’s side. As you went to grab his arm, he wiggled it out and wrapped it around your shoulder. Your head dropped on his chest as he pulled you ever so slightly closer to him.
“Ready for the next one?” he asked.
“Yeah…” you mumbled.
“Long week?”
“Something like that…”
“We can watch something else if you want, your ghost lads?”
“Ghost… lads…?” you asked, looking up at him confused, “Oh, you mean the Ghoul boys!”
This man.
“Lads, boys same thing, no?”
“The Ghost Files season is already over, we’ve watched everything. But it’s fine Fox, just play the next one.”
“You’re sure?”
“Yeah,” you said softly, shifting so that you were sitting more comfortably by Mulder’s side.
Again, he pulled you closer to him, your head now resting on his shoulder.
“Okay, but be ready, there will be a quiz at the end,” he said jokingly.
“Yeah… right…”
He grabbed a blanket from his right, carefully wrapped it around you and kissed the top of your head.
“I’ll let you copy on me don’t worry.”

Thrill, squash, sweater, and firewood! 🎃 👻🍁🍂
gvskdjsk thank you for the ask babes!! 🥺👻🍂🎃
thrill—if you were in a horror movie, would you be the first to die, the comic relief, the skeptic, the smart one, the last one standing, or the killer?
i wouldn't even be in the horror film cos at the first sign of anything shifty, i'm out. like. i'm sprinting in the opposite direction and picking up anything i think i can defend myself with as i'm running.
i have a couple of funny stories about times i've been scared shitless, but have i ever told y'all about the time i toured a haunted/abandoned jail in Charleston, SC? if not, remind me to cos it's funny as hell and also tells you exactly which motherfucker i'd be.
squash— are there any traditions you participate in during this time of year?
usually will watch one spooky thing every night of October. this year it's been binging Ghost Files/Unsolved Supernatural and Stranger Things cos i don't have time for a whole film.
sweater— what is your favorite autumn dessert?
love a good apple pie. pumpkin loaf cake is always good. i had an apple cider bundt cake this morning from the coffee shop on my block which was delightful.
basically anything that's like "apples & cinnamon" or "pumpkin spice", i will foam at the mouth for it.
firewood— have you ever played with a ouija board?
it seems like i definitely have. but if i'm remembering correctly, it was a homemade one that a friend of mine made out of a pizza box lol so not sure how accurate that was. our ghost's name was jim or something? and that's about all i remember.
halloween themed asks 🎃🍂

Title: When being too respectful to the undead leads to a medium's 1st resurrection
Summary: He must have thought he was stepping into a fun night in the dark, with infrequent, delusional communication on Ranboo’s end that could be explained away as a natural phenomenon or a prank.
Ranboo knows, if the board had spelled out any other name, Tommy would have laughed it off.
If it spelled “Tubbo,” they would laugh about him being stuck at home, writing an essay illuminated by a harsh desk lamp. Nowhere near this room unless he hid in Ranboo’s bulky backpack or the pockets of Tommy’s oversized trench coat.
If it spelled something random like “George Washington,” Tommy would have scoffed and whined about it not being ‘Gogy’ instead. Raving over how much he would love to have a late-night chat with him even if it was through a stupid Ouija board.
But the board spelled “Wil,” and Tommy took that as a cruelly placed joke or an active attack on what little personal information he shared when confiding in a new friend. And if Ranboo's bound to be seen as a fraud and a prankster in his discipline, then it will be on his own terms.
My random ramblings as the author:
On many occasions, I will binge watch Buzzfeed's Unsolved Supernatural series on YouTube. That's the 2 guys ghost hunting on YouTube where one is a believer and the other is a skeptic (that's as much if a summary I can give if you've never watched their stuff or the Watcher's Ghost Files. I just got to have something that I half-listen to in the background so I'll rewatch it.
As I was tuning in and out of the show, I ended up thinking of a funny dsmp au? I don't think I can highlight how much I didn't expect to think of this idea. Ever. I still can hardly believe that I'm writing a sequel, even though it's in my drafts.
You can likely see the link between "ghost seeing c!Ranboo fanfic where he hides the fact that he can see Ghostbur from c!Tommy" and "ghosthunter youtube series." So I don't see much to explain there.
But my friend likes to point out how much of a loser that I wrote C!Ranboo as? He has three friends in this one and two of them are new. It mainly stemmed from the idea/headcanon(?)of his character as a "people-pleaser" and finding it difficult to deny people asking for help. When these people are dead spirits who notice that c!Ranboo can see and help them, they're VERY desperate.
He's helping out all these spirits by helping them rest, but helping them means they leave him (he's basically helping c!Mumza/Goddess of Death without her knowing). He's left with a small number of people and little time/skill to make friends with living people.
I also really like c!Ranboo's disconnect from sbi. I got to ignore the feels and reflection about Ghostbur by hiding in c!Ranboo POV. But now I gotta go write the sequel... a c!Tommy POV that you know is gonna have some angsty, complicated feelings towards whatever happened to c!Wilbur for them to have Ghostbur.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THEM
As far as gender goes, Yesenia never really had it all figured out until they were in high school. They don’t ascribe to the traditional female gender, while they have, effectively, come out as a non-binary person. The closest Yesenia can describe it is, is just being genderfluid. They’ve gotten a good grasp of their identity, because it’s been a years-long process. Growing up in a society that is very conservative and traditional, they’ve realized that the gender binary was a destructive construct for them. As sexuality goes, they’re queer and demisexual. They’re pretty much attracted to people they can establish an emotional connection with first. Their mother was accepting when they revealed their pronouns and sexuality to them, and their dad came around after the initial shock.
Yesenia has an interest in the supernatural and would secretly love to witness someone actually getting possessed by a ghost or a demon. For science. They’re a big, big fan of Buzzfeed Unsolved and The Ghost Files. #boogara
Their is handwriting is incredibly messy and barely legible, and their cursive is even worse than that. They love writing notes for friends and family, but most of the time they can’t tell what’s been written so they’ll have to read it aloud to them.
They literally never sit properly in chairs. Usually tucks one leg under them and leaves the other to hang no matter where they are. Along with that, they’re usually bouncing their leg up and down much to someone’s annoyance.
They love tattoos. They’re most likely to ask a person the story that lies behind a specific inkling on their skin, if they’re able to see it. Also, they’ve got a few of their own and each of them have special meaning. They got their first tattoo at the age of sixteen, after forging their mother’s signature.
On their phone they have cookie jam, a game they won’t delete because they’re still working on passing a level they’ve been stuck on for a while. They also have words with friends. They’re also an avid user of Twitter, Tiktok, Snapchat, and Instagram.
A huge hockey fan. Yesenia lives for hockey. They follow stats, watches every game, has signed jerseys, and tries to get discounted tickets to see a game. They even played back when they were younger – on a team for several years, and with their friends and family when they went to their cabin where the lake was frozen over. It is something their family has always valued, and so they love it too. They’re a big Bruins fan and their favorite player is Patrice Bergeron.
Food is their kryptonite. Anyone who knows Yesenia knows that they are eating almost nonstop. They have a fast metabolism and feels hungry even an hour after they eat. Yesenia’s mom taught them to cook, so often when they eat it’s something intricate and high quality, or something fast and greasy like pizza.
PLOTTING FOR YESENIA!
An approximate timeline for Yesenia!
From birth to age 19: Has lived with their parents in the countryside.
From age 19 to 22: Lived in a converted loft in the countryside.
From age 22 to present: Living in a downtown fixer upper with Stelly and Val.
Yesenia was born and raised in Merrock, Maine, so there's no doubt that they’re going to have friends in town. They have a large personality. They’re a creative, flighty, imaginative person. They speak loudly, boisterously and are not the type of person to go through life unnoticed. Because of all this, they are probably known by many and having grown up in town, there's probably classmates or neighbors that already know them. For friendships, they seek out those similar to them. People who love expressing themselves in different ways, people with a dark sense of humor.
Yesenia is the first to admit that they can be annoying as shit. They’re loud without realizing just how loud they are and don’t always know when to shut up. They can get on people’s nerves sometimes; it’s fair. Yesenia’s not everyone’s cup of tea. They can be a lot to handle. They themself tries not to let themself think about people that they don’t enjoy being around because they don’t want to let those kind of negative thoughts take up too much of their brain power. They’re very much of the mindset that if you don’t like someone, you shouldn’t bother yourself with them. They are as stubborn as a rock, and they don’t willingly admit that they’re wrong even when they’re completely aware that they are. Anyone who challenges them gets placed on their naughty list (unless you're one of the few really close to them), and they can be quite the ass to those they don’t like. Mess with their family or friends and you're in trouble because they’ll be coming after you.
Someone out there has got to love them, right? They’re a people person. They’re probably the person who literally always goes over ‘being nice isn’t flirting’ with people. Yesenia is constantly plagued with the idea that they’ll never been good enough for anyone, and that because they’ve never been in a relationship before. Dating isn’t easy, needless to say. Sometimes they get discouraged, and aren’t always willing to take the time to put themself out there in that way. But they’re a romantic person at heart, and very caring when given the opportunity. They want nothing more than to be someone who is needed.
Right now, they’re just trying to enjoy themself, they’ve been openly queer since their teen years, so they have experiences with all kinds of people, they don’t really have a preference, it’s more about vibing with the person.
WANTED CONNECTIONS
BEST FRIEND - Soulmates don’t have to be romantic, you know? They love each other but it’s completely platonic. It’s pretty rare that you find one without the other.
CHILDHOOD FRIENDS - They met when they were younger in and they were best friends, and either still are or aren’t.
RAIN AND SHINE - They’re very unlikely friends, but somehow they are because they really balance each other out.
TENTATIVE FRIENDS - They get along well and they are friends, but there are some things that put a damper on their friendship from reaching exponential levels.
SPORTS FRIENDS - You can always find Yesenia watching the big games at the bars. They especially love to watch ice hockey and baseball. They’ll want friends who they can debate teams with, or just go and play some ball with.
BIG ENEMIES - For whatever reason, they absolutely cannot stand each other.
FRENEMIES - They act like they’re friends for the sake of the town, but really, they can’t stand each other.
SWOLEMATES - They go to the gym together and hype each other up to get through their daily work outs. Yesenia is a big, big fan of boxing.
More to be added!

Laughter filled the room as he imagined Yejin and Jaeyoung teasing one another. "Well, unlike teasing, Bonhwa and KK have already threatened to tie me up and gag me so I can't talk about you anymore. Apparently I'm talking their ears off. But they never stopped to think they talked my ears off too. Hyeseong hyung just goes on and on about his sister and Ryeo just stares at me like I'm crazy. But I will happily continue." Smile beaming as she told him her thoughts and fantasies for the future, he pulled her flushed against him. "That sounds beautiful. I can't wait to fall asleep knowing you're the last thing I see every night and to wake up knowing you'll be the first thing I see every morning. It sounds perfect. We can binge watch all those ghost files videos and whatever else you want to watch together. And you surprising me on tours- ah, I'm already living in bliss." He chuckled and nuzzled against her again.
"Yejin's been asking me how things are...And threatening to stalk me if I attempt to get married without her. Though to be fair, I'm sure I've made the same threat to her. Or she could feel I would. One of the two." With another happy sigh, she closed her eyes as she tightened her arms around him. "It does sound perfect...It'll be even more perfect when it become reality. No rush or anything...I'm just talking out loud...Telling you what's going on in my head."

Autumn 2023 Anime + TV Season
I can’t believe it’s another season!
Anime
Despite a strike-filled quarter in the Western world, I still found very little anime suitable to my tastes. I must accept that, like how Vtubees and Holothingies dominate the conversations these days, that the industry has moved on without me! (not that I really care…). But boy, is it hard to write a season preview when it’s the norm for shows to have a screwed-up production schedule to the point where they spillover into the following cour (here’s looking at you, Zombie show…)
Rankings 1. Horimiya -piece- 2. Jujutsu Kaisen 3. Bungou Stray Dogs S5 4. Zom 100
Shows (to be) completed: 6 Continuing: 1
Well that’s an awful number...but expected!
Moving on to autumn….

Sounds Interesting! Hope It Doesn’t Suck!: Overtake!, Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri, 16bit Sensation, Pluto, Under Ninja, Hoshikuzu Telepath, Kawagoe Boys Sing
Not My Thing but Who Knows!: Megumi no Daigo, Ragna Crimson, Yuzuki-san’chi no Yonkyodai, Kamierabi, Onmyoji, Migi to Dali (the manga is so-so but I might watch cos RIP Sano Nami), Good Night World, Undead Unluck, Hametsu no Okoku, Akuma-kun, Atarashii Joushi wa Dotennen, Dog Signal
Do I Have To…? (No I Don’t): Ojo to Banken-kun, Shangri-La Frontier, Dekoboko Majo, SHY, Bullbuster, Kikansha no Mahou, Bokura no Ameiro Protocol, 100Kano, Hanako-kun, Matsuinu
Sequel/Spinoff Hell: Captain Tsubasa S2, FLCL (just why??), MF Ghost (it’s an Initial D thing so I may just give it a go??), Tokyo Revengers, Kage no Jitsuryokusha S2, Kizuna no Allele S2, Uma Musume S3, Beyblade X, Tate no Yusha S3, Kanojo mo Kanojo S2, Otona Precure, Saihate no Paladin S2, Nanatsu no Taizai, Dead Mount Death Play Pt 2, Dr Stone New World Pt2, Rail Romanesque S2 (WHYYYY)

Idol/Vtuber/AI/Musical Hell: B Project, Paradox Live, HypMic S2 (do I really want to torture myself again?), Imas Million Live
Continuing: Jujutsu Kaisen S2
Expected Load: 10
Oh shit I’m scared I may pick up too many shows for autumn!
TV & Streaming
What I’ve been watching in 3Q23…

+=older show, *=continuing
Total series completed: 23 Full-length films watched: 45
Holy moley guacamole I watched way too many films…
Writers’ strike just ended (pending ratification) and actors are still picketing so who knows when we’ll get new episodes of any network telly worth watching? Meanwhile, the ROTW & streaming keeps truckin’ on…
CBS: NCIS: Sydney(?) NBC: Irrational(?) Disney+/Hulu: Loki S2, A Murder at the End of the World, Culprits Netflix: Bodies, The Fall of the House of Usher(?), All The Light We Cannot See(?) HBO/Max: Julia S2 Apple TV: Slow Horses S3, Lessons In Chemistry BBC: Boiling Point, Time series 2, Vigil S2, The Way(?) ITV: The Long Shadow, Payback, Breathtaking(?), Orphan Black: Echoes(?) Why am I watching so much stuff instead of doing something productive with my time?

Are they night owls or early birds?
ANY WARNING: Just mention trouble sleeping. Some swearing.
A/N: I swear I am not dead... just trying to get back to writing. I kind of went ghost of a couple of months... and I am sorry. Wasn't my intention. But I had some personal issues going on... couldn't write for a while as a result of it. I am back now! And I swear I am working on the two requests I received. Both are going to be posted very soon so watch out for that. And I am also working on other headcanons and imagines that I am very excited to share with you guys. This one has been in my google docs for too long and decided to finish it today. I really do appreciate the patience :)
I hope you enjoy this boring headcanon lol.
DIRECTOR JACK BRIGHT: Hmm... night owl considering how much work he gets done during the night. But that isn't to say that he doesn't get anything done during the day. Because he does. But he just prefers doing more work at nighttime since he can't easily fall asleep. And he needs something to do until he feels sleepy. It is a bit weird too because it is like he gains so much energy during nighttime. He would be finishing projects, documents, and some leftover paperwork that his assistant left for him to do. (Which are months late btw). While binge-watching some Netflix series. Will probably order something to eat online... (if a store is open and he is hungry). And reply to late e-mails. He wouldn't even feel himself getting tired or worn out until like three in the freaking morning. Then he would finally fall asleep. However, he would only sleep for a few hours before waking up for work.
*Also, Bright would sometimes fall asleep but then wake up again and has a hard time falling back asleep... and he hates it! Because he feels so tired... but just can't sleep... it is like his mind wouldn't let him rest. He was once concerned that he was affected by SCP-966 but realized that it was just his insomnia like usual.
DIRECTOR ALTO CLEF: Early bird. He likes to wake up early in the morning like at six (which is pretty normal) however he can't wake up earlier than that. That is hell for him lol... He also has trouble sleeping yet always wakes up early in the morning... which is quite impressive tbh...
DOCTOR CHARLES GEARS: He can be a bit of both. But he is definitely leaning more towards a night owl due to his difficulty staying asleep as well. He does suffer from insomnia too. Gears has grown accustomed to it by now so he would spend his night reading a book or reviving files until he feels sleepy. But there is also a part of him that wakes up very early in the morning despite his restless night. Like at five and he is ready to start his day.
DOCTOR ICEBERG: Oh definitely a night owl. He is the one making so much fucking noise in the kitchen during the nighttime trying to make himself a simple sandwich...
DOCTOR BEN KONDRAKI: Another night owl. He enjoys staying up late in the night when everyone else is already asleep. He will probably go outside to the porch and smoke a bit... take a walk if he is in the mood for it. He does really like taking night walks since there aren't people outside and he hates interacting with people lol. A walk without talking to people and just enjoying the night sky would make him very happy tbh...
DOCTOR AGATHA RIGHTS: Early bird. Even if she stayed up very late last night she is still going to wake up early the next day. It is kind of like a habit of hers.
SCP-073 (CAIN): Definitely an early bird. He wakes up very early in the morning as well and gets things done. He doesn't even need an alarm clock to wake him up either. He just wakes up early...
SCP-076-2(ABLE): He isn't an early bird or night owl. But sort of in between... Like there were days when he would wake up early and is very productive. He gets things done like his older brother. And doesn't seem tired at all. But then there were other days when he would stay up really late. Doing whatever keeps him busy instead of sleeping because he isn't sleepy just yet. Those are the lonely nights when his mind wouldn't shut off and he needs a distraction until he feels tired. In addition to that, he also likes taking short naps throughout the day. It doesn’t matter if he slept early or late last night. He still wants his naps. And he is going to take his naps. He is like a cat when taking his naps too. He can literally fall asleep anywhere, on a tree, chair, couch, or table. All he needs is a quiet place and he is all set. He sometimes prefers taking naps with a small blank and pillow when on the couch. He doesn't use the pillow to rest his head but instead likes holding it in his arms while sleeping. And he would cover the blanket over himself completely.
AND DO. NOT. WAKE HIM UP. He is going to be very annoyed and just glare at you if you dare to wake him up. So, just leave him to take his nap. And besides, he is a bit of a heavy sleeper so it is going to take some effort in waking him up. Aside from that, Able is.... cute when he is sleeping tbh... like oh my god this man just looks so comfortable AND CUTE! HOLDING ONTO HIS PILLOW TIGHTLY! JUST SNOOZING. Idk it is just heartwarming to see a guy that can literally tear you to shreds sleep so peacefully and look cute. A rare sight if I am being honest lol.
Bonus: His S/O would probably be tempted to take a picture of him when he is napping. They can if they want to. But they have to make sure that they don't let him see the picture on their phone later on. He would literally demand them to delete it lol...

Luke Crain Headcanons
Tumblr media
Request: Hi🥺I’m usually not to good about making request but I’m trying to breakout of my shell on that cause you are an amazing writer and I love everything you write!! But can I request a Luke Crain headcanon where you guys grew up together but distanced while he was in rehab but you came back together after what happened with Nellie! Thank you so much you’re an angel🥺💛
Thank you SO much @cathrinexxxv I LOVE LUKE CRAIN! Also I’m so ready to binge watch all of Bly Manor tomorrow!! <3
You and Luke first met when you were very young. As in, really really little. To this day, you’re still constantly teasing him and making him blush smile about his huge magnifying pair of glasses and his obsession with bowler hats.
You and your family used to live in the small village which was a fifteen minute walk away from the looming heights of Hill House, so when a rumour started spreading down the houses that a new family full of children were moving in for the summer, you, naturally, were intrigued.
One night, when you had heard from your mother that the new family had moved in, you sneaked out your back garden on a warm afternoon before dinner, cutting through the dark and dingy forest until you reached the outskirts of the property. Seeing a boy around your own age sitting on his own on the burnt grass, you waved to Luke from behind the branch of a nearby, crooked oak tree. He was startled, to say the least, but as he watched you hide slightly behind the bark, he was surprised to find he wasn’t scared in the slightest.
He felt as if he almost knew you already. As if this was always meant to happen, that you were meant to find each other here.
Nudging his glasses back up the bridge of the nose, he shyly waved back. Once he finally realised that you weren’t going to budge from your hiding place, nervous from the stories your neighbours had told you about this house, he decided to pick up his crayons in one fist and his paper in the other, before he sets off half stumbling, half stomping along the uneven ground towards you.
When he finally reaches the trunk, he stops and looks at you kind of funnily, tilting his head slightly before he decides the right reaction was to smile at you.
‘My name is Luke Crain. Do you want to play with me? All my siblings ignore me and they don’t want to draw with me.’
The two of you spent the rest of the afternoon huddled under the shaking leaves, sitting on the roots of the tree, Luke tracing out a picture and you giggling as you tried to bump his hand out of the way to colour it in.
From then on, the two of you were inseparable. Nellie loved you of course, and saw you as her honorary best friend as well, as did the rest of the siblings (even though Shirley would never admit it, and Theo was too stubborn to), which meant constant sleepovers at Hill House.
Hugh would always chuckle and shake his head when he peeked into Luke and Nellie’s room, seeing Nell asleep on a red bean bag with a half open bag of sweets lying deserted by her feet, and you and Luke sprawled out on the mat by the iron railings of his bed, snoring.
You were also the only one he allowed up into his treehouse. Although, sometimes he was too embarrassed to let you, or his siblings, in, because he had stuck pictures up on the wall of the drawings he had tried to do of you.
Growing up with Luke also meant having to calm him down after he starts seeing the tall, floating ghost. Sometimes you would try to climb up the ivy outside of his bedroom window, only to topple into the house headfirst when you start to hear Luke’s high pitched screaming coming from under his bed. Although Olivia would come running in, she would always end up comforting sobbing Nellie, as Luke would only grab onto you, the two of you sitting on the edge of his bed as you remind him the rule.
‘Breathe in and out Luke, that’s it. In and out, seven times - that’s what keeps you safe.’
‘Eight’, he would say with a trembling breath. ‘Eight times. You’re my family too.’
The two of you were gutted when Luke had to move away, but your parents could already see how close the two of you were, and so decided that a move away and a new school for you, perhaps, wasn’t the worst idea. Especially, they decided, since you had been there that night as well.
Although the two of you were close for the whole of your childhood, it takes Luke until he’s eighteen years old to realise just how long he’s really been in love with you. It takes some nudging on from Nellie, pointing out how you would run up to his locker during breaks between classes and just fill him in on how your day was going - each break, no matter how long it had been, without fail. Luke was the only person you wanted to talk to, and from the look of pure delight on Luke’s face as he leans against his locker door and gives his full, undivided attention to you, you’re the only person he wants to listen to.
Or how, Nellie would continue, you would come round to their house for dinner, and although Aunt Janet tried to separate the two of you by sitting you opposite each other, you would just spend the whole dinner ignoring whatever Theo was talking about and giving each other funny looks as you kicked each other in the shin.
Or, when the two of you got a bit older, and you would sneak out of your dorm to visit him in the middle of the night, throwing little rocks at his window until his curtains would rustle and the window latch would be thrown open, his grinning face peering down at you. Despite having spent the whole weekend together, reading to each other in the town’s local library, or just lying shoulder to shoulder watching movies, the two of you would sit out in his garden, on the dewy grass, constantly craving each other’s company. You made him blush one night, when you suddenly grabbed his hand and intertwined his growing fingers over your smaller ones, pointing up at the moon, and the glowing stars, not realising the little side eye, euphoric look he would give you.
That’s when he finally realised how immensely, and terrifyingly in love with you he was.
It scared him, to realise this, but deep down he knew it had always been you.
He has so many nightmares though. So many nights are spent with his head lying heavy in your lap, as you brush through his golden hair, trying to shush him and calm him down, or rocking him as he cries into your shoulder because of the nightmares he has about his mother, or about Abigail.
As the two of you start to escape your teenage years, and the wishful chasing after each other that came with it, your relationship becomes slightly more strained when he starts using. You choose to move in with Nellie for a while, once he finally goes to rehab. When she gets married, and you're forced to find somewhere new to live, you think you'll never hear from the Crains again - you get the odd visit from Nell, or Theo, but they're so busy enjoying the newly wed life, or studying for their degree that it's not enough - nothing fills the hole that comes from missing Luke.
It hurts that he never comes to see you, but little did you know that he used to sit at his little beige desk every night, underneath the barred window, just staring up at the moon as he bit on the edge of his pen, a feeling of such wistfulness and loneliness and longing weighing down his chest.
He used to write you a letter, every day, just pouring out all the feelings he was too afraid to tell you, but he always crumples them up and throws them away, too scared to send them.
When Steve phones you up to tell you the news about Nellie’s passing, you told him to immediately come and pick you up.
You're terrified when you open the door and walk out into the bone chilling night to hug him, your heart thumping in your chest when he tells you about how Luke has left rehab again and is somewhere out on the streets, probably using. It breaks your heart, but you know you have to be the one to find him, to bring him back.
When you reach him, and see the man you've loved since you were a child wandering, shoeless and shivering along the freezing, cracked pavement, muttering to himself, you can’t help a tear slip out as you unbuckle your seatbelt and hop out of Steve’s rental.
Luke is so terrified, he doesnt recognise you for a second. It’s only a second, though, before his eyes widen and he pounces on you, wrapping you into him so familiarly, his frame looming large above you but yet feels so fragile in your grasp as he buries his head into the side of your neck and starts crying.
‘I’m so, so cold, Y/n, and my arms are s-s-so stiff, and I’m s-so sorry, I’m so sorry-’
You can’t bear to tell him the news, so you just hold the nape of his neck and pull him tight against your chest, hating the way his whole body shakes in your hold.
On the day of Nell’s funeral, he doesn't leave your side once - it’s as if the two of you had never been separated at all. As everyone files in through the main door, ignoring the sour face on Shirley as they wander into the reception area, you and Luke just sit knee to knee on the couch opposite the entryway.
‘I tried to write to you,’ he starts, as he fumbles a cigarette from out of his breast pocket and tucks it away behind his ear, trying to busy himself with anything so he doesn’t have to meet your confused eyes, and so you don’t have to see the guilt ridden in his. ‘I want you to know that. Nellie kept on telling me off, but i just didn't know how to say what i needed to say to you.’
‘Luke, its okay, i understand how difficult it was for you-’
‘No-no, Y/n, no more excuses! You mean so much to me and i- i cant... i can't lose anyone else. Just-’
He's so gentle when he finally reaches over and kisses you, trying to shake off his fear and just show you what he meant instead. His suit rumples against your chest as he smooshes himself against you, cupping your cheeks softly with his large hands as he tilts you to the side to meet him in a needy, a desperate, a long anticipated kiss.
He doesn’t pull away - he can't - until you finally break for air, and only then does he finally concede and places his forehead against yours with a soft thud, just closing his eyes in both agony and bliss.
‘I’m sorry that took me so long to do.’
‘It was worth the wait. Although, I have to be honest, your timing has always been rubbish.’
He chuckles, his deep voice vibrating against your chest as he rests his head on your shoulder like a lost puppy, gazing up at you with those wide, lost eyes, and for the first time you can finally see the adoration and awe and just pure love that’s always been in them.
For the rest of the reception. before he tells you of his plans to go back and burn Hill House to the ground, is spent with the two of you escaping from his siblings by stepping outside and sitting on Shirley’s porch. Your arms stay linked tightly together, as if afraid to let go again, and his coat is wrapped around both of your shoulders as he rests against you, just content to be surrounded by your presence.

Heyyyy I have a question :3
Do you have any headcanon/s for these character : Scraptrap, Scrap Baby, Lady Dimistrecu, the three daughter of Lady D, Heisenberg and/or Molten Freddy ? :3
You don't have to do all the proposition, you can choose what character you want to do :3
Have a good day/evening and stay safe ! :3
*Cracks knuckles* \(^v^)/
You already know I'm doing all of them! Thank you for the ask! Headcanons under the cut!
FNaF6
Scraptrap
He loves rice and would do anything to get his paws on it. Fortunately, the pizzeria is quite close to a Chinese restaurant so rice is easy to get.
He orders a rice-based menu at least three times a week, so the owners aren't at all that surprised to see a tuxedo-clad zombie-rabbit come in and ask for their signature fried rice with buttered lobster on the side.
Since he like to dine-in there, he usually asks Michael to give him a bath in exchange for pizzeria improvements. Michael usually shrugs and gives him a well-deserved bubble bath and his tuxedo.
He likes it when Michael gives him head pats and rubs. It makes him feel loved and appreciated.
He has a pet pigeon named Fernando Buschmann. It's German and likes to listen to the violin.
He likes ASMR and memes. ASMR makes him go feral with murderous intent while memes make him question the modern generation.
He has social media accounts, all named "Willton-Moldover". He usually posts cosplays and furry art on them and has 93 followers on his Reddit profile, 1.5 million followers on his Instagram, 550 followers on his Tumblr, 35 on his Snapchat, and 3.95 million on his TikTok.
He also has a YouTube channel with 10.784 million subscribers called "Willton-Gameover". He plays videogames one-handed and roasts popular YouTubers and famous people. He would never roast Keanu Reeves though, because Keanu Reeves is precious bean.
Due to his popularity he gets a lot of hate mail and private pics. He doesn't like them at all so he blackmails the people who post them. And if the media and police are involved? Well, he has a strong fanbase that's not going down as well as a good alibi so that works out well for him.
Yes, his fanbase also knows of the Fazbear Murders, and he admits to it but frankly, he's shown them the approving ghost kids (who've bonded and gamed with him) so that's no big deal. Only Cassidy hates him, but it's usually constipated anger.
He's bisexual and has an ENORMOUS crush on one of his favourite game characters, Karl Heisenberg. Something about that man reminds him of himself and Henry, although he's not sure what. Still, don't let that distract you from the fact that he owns a nude Karl Heisenberg body pillow, CAPCOM official.
Scrap Baby
Her favourite Monster High doll is Draculaura. She doesn't understand how pink goes well with black but oh boy, pink goes so well with black.
She knows how to skateboard like a pro. Despite her weight, her trusty skateboard still stands and, if she falls, she's always got her skates to spare. She likes to impress the boys at the skatepark with her ability to perform even the most difficult of moves with ease.
She's subscribed to fifteen different tabloid subscriptions. She likes to read them and criticize the stupidity of the human race, like her father. Hey, it's hereditary.
The lights in her boobies glow in the dark. They also glow whenever she gets tired.
She likes reading furniture and gardening catalogues. She's judgy of the prices though and usually becomes a full-on critic with Lefty listening.
She owns a crab named Mr. Tootie. No I will not elaborate on the name. I'll only tell you that it's taken a liking to kazoos and party favours.
She's listed as the No. 1 Best Fan of her father's social media accounts. Michael's in nineteenth place but don't worry, he's as emotionless as a mushroom.
She likes to make origami lotuses. She's such a pro at it that she's even got a mini-stall at the pizzeria: 1 lotus for 50 cents. It's a lucrative business, and it's still growing. Oh, and she switches to other origami works of art every week such as origami guns and origami nine-tailed foxes.
She's the Restaurant Rescue manager. Usually she saves kids from trouble. For this reason, yes, she's commonly seen in the pizzeria itself. Kids love her though the claw worries the more irksome parents.
She's a professional Karen dealer. Karen comes to see the manager? She's hypnotically talented in weaving her words through the toughest of craniums so don't be surprised if a Karen walks out with a new viewpoint of life.
She performs on stage on the occasion, which usually gets her a lot of fan love. She cherishes everything good they give but ignores the problematic everythings. Problematic stuff? Oh, she's good friends with the police chief.
Molten Freddy
He loves noodles. Give him a bowl of ramen and he'll shut up for the entire night. Enter him in a noodle-eating competition and his high metabolism rate means absolutely non-stop spaghetti.
He misses Bon-Bon very much. To the point where he's even tried to make a scrap version of him. Sadly, it doesn't work. He cried that day.
He dies inside whenever he finds out there's a spaghetti shortage in Utah. Poor Molten.
He's a bit wonky, but if he tries to play with you or get into your personal space, don't get mad at him! He's just lonely and wants someone to talk to and play with.
He likes to play Exploding Kittens. It's the only card game he's good at. It's also the only card game he owns.
He sees Helpy as a little brother and boops his nose on a daily basis. He also likes to reenact The Lion King with him (It's the ciiiiiircle of liiiiiife~). Hopefully Helpy doesn't mind.
He knows a lot of jokes in a lot of languages. So German-speaking Molten Freddy wouldn't be too far away from expectation. His favourite jokes are in French though; the wordplay is just immaculate.
He's good in French, English, German, Russian, and Malay. He's currently learning Japanese because he's a mega weeb.
His favourite cartoon is Charlie and Lola. He just likes to see the sibling shenanigans as it somehow reminds him of the good old days.
His favourite shows would be prankster shows. He especially loves the ones that give him new and creative ideas. He doesn't like the scary ones though. They make him feel unsafe and give him anxiety.
Surprisingly, he has a distinct taste for opera. He can modulate the remnants of his voice box to perfectly sing I Am The Very Model Of A Modern Major-General. This both pisses off and impresses Henry to an extent.
Resident Evil 8
Lady Dimitrescu
She might act like the opposite but she really loves Heisenberg as her little brother. His determination, strength, speed, dexterity, and workaholic nature impresses her, who can't even fit through a doorway. She sometimes wishes she's as short as him too.
She's an avid collector of glass, porcelain, and anything fragile. It's a good reason to always be careful where you tread in her lair. She'll make you swallow every last shard if you don't.
She's an avid romance fanatic and is very loving towards the romance novels she owns. All those books you see in the in-game library? They're her collection of lesbian romances that she's collected over the past decades.
She doesn't like hats and prefers to stick to the one she wears in-game. She DOES have a collection of hats though. Last anyone counted, there were over fifty, one or two for each decade she's lived through.
She files her nails on a constant basis and owns an ornately decorated nail-clipper. Hygeine is of the utmost importance. She doesn't want to be compared to that filthy Heisenberg.
Despite her size and carefulness she keeps losing her stuff. Over the course of a week she could misplace three wine glasses, two reading glasses, and fifteen bottles of wine.
She's an expert at dodgeball and golf and even owns a lifetime access to the most prolific Country Club in Romania. With permission from Mother Miranda she goes there every year for the yearly party. It's one of the times she gets to see modernity (and Ed Sheeran) at its finest.
She loves bands from the 1920s and 1940s. However, she gets bored of them occasionally and switches them to something more modern, like Ed Sheeran. Seriously though, what is up with mums and Ed?
She's into executions and torture methods. So it's no surprise that she's a HUGE fan of Horrible Histories; even if she can't watch the show, she'll binge-read the books over and over again. She's even had the chance to encounter (and receive an autograph from) Terry Deary. They have sworn a bond not to tell anybody about this.
She loves exotic animals like anacondas and jaguars. She may or may not have owned a 10ft long Saltwater Crocodile (which was also about 5ft wide).
She's an incredible physicist and mathematician. She's also created many original formulae but unsurprisingly, she doesn't tell anyone about them, for fear that either more people may know of her, or that she may be wrong.
Dimitrescu Babes
They can devour an entire human being in mere seconds as flies. It's sort of like the scarab beetles in The Mummy movies. However, unlike the beetles, they are able to strip the bones as well. They leave nothing behind.
They all know how to play the piano with varying levels of success. Daniela can already play professionally while Bela is still stuck on Grade 5.
They love to listen to their mother when she tells them stories. Gotta hand it to 'em, when you're a fly, you know how to enjoy life in its most simple of moments.
They all love being around the hunky Soldats of Uncle Karl. Fortunately, they don't know of the rebellious plan to conquer Miranda.
Bela is bisexual, Cassandra is asexual and pansexual, and Daniela is demisexual.
It gets hard when you're a fly during the summer. If it's not the lizards, spiders, and other predators, it's the heat. Because of this, despite the material waste, they have invented the world's first blood-powered air conditioner.
The three girls have never ever ever touched a stove or oven in their life. They HAVE touched the hot end of an iron though. A good reason to not touch a bloody oven. Alcina has though, but doesn't tell them that.
They love puppies! Uncle Karl brought them a baby labrador. For the rest of the week Alcina had lost quite a bit of favour from them. Not that they minded of course. IT'S A PUPPY.
They don't like snow one bit. Not just because it's cold, but because it's too white. Too bright. Too shiny. They just can't focus on their prey!
They like to go over to Auntie Donna to play with Angie. Well, you know what they say, crazies attract the crazies, and the crazy has attracted the crazies.
They also like to go to Uncle Moreau's because he's the only one in the village with a PS4. Usually they'd spend about three-quarters of a day playing his games and eating his cheese.
Karl Heisenberg
He owns a dark blue armchair named Junkyard. Despite the name, he loves it dearly because it was a gift from Alcina for his twenty-first birthday. It became part of his final transformation too. Right under the hat.
He's a little blind in the right eye, much to his annoyance. It was a minor accident with Sturm; another reason for him to hate the uncontrollable wretch. He'll never live that day down.
Somehow, he sees better in the dark, which is why he wears such tinted glasses. He also wears them to hide his expressions, since, more often than not, he tends to end up wearing his heart on his sleeve, and his emotions in his eyes.
He's under a lot of pressure so it's no surprise that he breaks down in his factory when he knows he's alone. And by break down I mean crumple into an exhausted heap on the floor. Not even his Soldat Jet squad can wake him up until he's had a reasonable eight hours of rest.
He bathes once a day, every evening, but only three times a week. Perfume, tobacco, and cologne keep care of the rest.
He's the only Lord with a daily contact with the outside world due to his electrical abilities. Don't tell Miranda, but he can electrically CONNECT TO GOOGLE AND THE ENTIRE INTERNET IN GENERAL. He likes to play funny YouTube cat videos in his head when Miranda's having a boring meeting. It's also how he finds out that Chris is a boulder-punching asshole.
He does stimming! He likes to tap his fingers on his desk and the metal rails in his factory. He also buys stim toys from the Duke and keeps them in a well-kept box. His favourite is a non-ripping squishable toy duck. He also sings to chill out.
He's absolutely in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise, and may have once believed in the pizzeria's existence. Come on, he's a mutated Overlord with magical magnet powers. Children souls stuck inside animatronics isn't too far-fetched of an idea. His favourite characters are the Funtimes and the Scraps, mainly because of the blueprint complexity. He HAS tried to replicate the animatronics in his spare time, but he's usually too busy with his Soldats so the project gets scrapped. He loves The Living Tombstone's songs and remixes though.
He doesn't like William Afton at all (though he marvels at his survivability). William's nature and habits remind him of Mother Miranda. He DOES however enjoy Michael Afton and often thinks how it would be absolutely amazing to have that resilient being in his Soldat army.
He's scared of what lurks below the watery depths and fire. Ironic because his brother is a literal fish and he works in one of the most hazardous fire-conducting environments. He's also scared of heights, though he doesn't get airsick.
He once died due to a killing electric shock whilst working on Sturm. It's the only time he's felt that sort of pulsing agony and also the first time he's had the confirmation that yes, Hell is real and yes, he'll end up in quite a dark pit in it. Or it could've been an electric dream, who knows? Anyways his soul apparently ran towards the opposite direction of the flames and he woke up alive after the passing of FIVE ENTIRE WEEKS. Oh boy did Alcina get worried when she couldn't find him.
Thank you for the ask! I hope you enjoy!

Conversation
The Avengers and Their Favorite Reality TV show(s):
Steve: Steve is trying to adjust to life in the 21st century, and in order to do that it would be easiest for him to learn from the TV. He is SHOCKED at the content seen on shows the other avengers watch. He finds himself watching a lot of challenge based tv shows. (He loves cupcake wars) Chopped is one of his favorites and so is Cake Boss. He loves watching celebrity interviews as well, it helps him get acquainted with todays culture.
Tony: Tony walked in on Pepper and Natasha watching Real House Wives and needless to say, he was so entertained. This then moved onto him watching all of the Real House Wives spin offs, Mob Wives, etc. Their rich lifestyle is relatable to him and he cant help but yell at the TV (with a drink in hand) in encouragement when the wives argue. Tony also LOVES pawn stars.
Natasha: If you watch TLC on sundays, you know the line up, its 90 day fiancé, sMothered, Love after lockup, etc. Natasha cant get enough of those shows. She even has a secret reddit account to keep up with the drama and to comment on the dumb antics of the shows subjects.
Clint: While being Nats closest friend, Clint gets in on the drama. However his favorite show to watch is Love After Lockup. His wife once walked by and said "Ugh this show is so trashy how could you wa-" "ITS WHAT?"
Thor: Thors favorite reality shows are Dance Moms, 90 day Fiance and Keeping up with the Kardashians. When Thor started visiting Earth more he inquired as to what the culture was and began watching TV. He then fell into a rabbit hole of trashy reality shows that he finds HILARIOUS because "Humans are so tiny!!"
Loki: Loki, like Thor, thinks humans are tiny and a bit pea brained. While bored on Earth he decides to turn on the TV. "What in bloody hell is Bad Girls Club?" He loved it. the cat fights, the bitchiness, the backstabbing, EVERYTHING. It was so dumb but entertaining to him. He also will watch ancient aliens and argues their points with his many years of life experience.
Sam: Sams guilty pleasure is Jersey Shore, he even goes as far as wanting to see Pauly D live. It reminds him of his party days and he eventually gets Bucky to watch it with him.
Bucky: "Sam for the 5th time I don't want to watch Jersey Shore." *Is completely enthralled in Jwoww fighting Angelina 15 minutes later* Since Bucky is from the 40s he's a bit confused at the content at first but eventually finds it entertaining. Bucky also loves watching how they make swords on Forged in Fire and he watches pawn stars on Saturday mornings with Tony. (He might even recognize a few items from the 40s)
Peter: Peter and MJ watch the bachelor and bachelorette and have bets on whos goes home. He also loves watching Ancient Aliens and other science TV shows. He also watches kitchen nightmares on youtube, Peter has seen a lot as Spiderman but the one thing that will always scare him is an angry Gordon Ramsey.
Wanda: Wanda loves wholesome reality shows like Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings etc. She also enjoys the entire Investigation Discovery channel and will try to figure out who the killer is before they do. She also has a soft spot for home improvement shows that she watches with vision.
Vision: Vision doesn't watch much TV but when he does its with Wanda. He enjoys watching how its made, and all the home improvement shows you can think of. He often will fantasize about doing the same improvements in his future house with wanda.
Pietro: Pietro loves spooky TV. Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, The Dead Files. Be prepared to hear what Tony calls "Girly" screams coming from Pietros room on Friday nights when he binge watches these shows.
Bruce: Bruce LOVES science shows, its common knowledge. He watches The Unexplained, Ancient Aliens and How the Universe Works. He often finds himself arguing the TV in his head. When Bruce isn't in his science mood he enjoys Cake Boss, Married at First Sight and some of the shows Natasha watches.
Nick: Nicks guilty pleasure is early 2000s reality shows, they remind him of the "Good old days." He loves watching re-runs of Flavor of Love, I Love New York, Charm School, Next, etc. He also STANS Tiffany "New York" Pollard.
Coulson: We all know Coulson watches Dr. Phil when he gets home. We also know he loves the more mundane TV shows like extreme couponing, my strange addiction, etc. He even gossips with Natasha about 90 day fiancé from time to time. He also is a big fan of Americas Next Top Model.

The Ice of the Isolated
Read on Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/works/27627518
"Will you stop that?" Tim snapped, the insistent feeling of irritation finally levering past his tipping point at the, in all honesty annoying, sound of Jon's muttering. "It's not gonna get us out any faster, whether you recite the entire damn archives or not."
Jon glanced up, his dark eyes dull within the dim light.
"Sorry." He mumbled roughly.
There was silence for a handful of seconds. Broken only the faint creaking of the shelves around them, and the hiss of the ancient radiator echoing off the tiny walls of the document restoration room.
The room they were currently trapped in, and had been trapped in for the past two hours.
"Number 4487215, Statement of Drew Capris regarding his encounter with The Skinner. Statement begins: I wasn't a drinking type of bloke, in fact I–"
"Jon." Tim snapped again, cutting off the rapid, near insane sounding, mumbling. "What did I literally just say?"
Jon blinked heavily.
"Cut it out with the statements already, it's bad enough to be stuck here without listening to some poor sod's trauma come out of your mouth."
Tim leaned back against a shelving unit, watching Jon chew through the words.
His own jaw worked in a series of annoyed tics as the seconds ticked by and Jon remained unresponsive.
"At least tell me you still understand English." He finally muttered, just to break the thick silence.
Jon blinked again, strangely sluggish.
"Course– course, I understand Eng– Eng– English."
"Could've fooled me." Tim said, a scowl forming across his face at Jon's stutter. It had been near almost always present since he'd known him, and worse with anxiety and exhaustion. The only time these days it fully went away was when he was reading a statement, and Tim refused to examine the implications of that.
"I–" Jon stammered suddenly, "I– I, I don't feel well."
Tim glanced back down at him.
He was sat on the floor, his back leaned against a metal shelving unit, and his dark curls splayed out along the edges of the files. His face held the same pinched, terse look it always did and the twist to his mouth was the same, ever present, skeptical frown. His skin was possibly a shade paler than his dark complexion normally allowed, but nothing drastic.
"You look alright to me."
Jon's dark eyes tracked over his face, in a sluggish parody of his usual sharp glare.
"I don't– I feel– feel cold."
Tim huffed out a sharp chuckle. "Yeah, Jon. It's cold in here. That's not news."
"But it's– it's freezing."
Tim scowled. "Yeah, like I said. Cold in here. It's been cold for hours."
"I–" Jon broke off with a vicious shiver. "Statement of Katrina Smith, events occurring on the date of November 27, 2015. Statement begins: It was so, so dark. So dark I couldn't–"
"Not this again." Tim muttered.
–couldn't see anything, even my hand in front of my face. It was only a few days after my mum had passed away and–"
"Jon."
"–and she had left me a few of her possessions, not that she'd had much, but I'd gone to her old flat to pick them up and it was so–"
"Cut it out, Jon. We already talked about this."
"– so dark that I almost wished I'd brought a torch. But it was only half two in the afternoon, and midsummer as well. And I figured I'd just grab some books and go, only then–"
"Jon! For Christ's sake, stop it." Tim near shouted.
Jon's jaw snapped shut abruptly, and he slumped forward, almost like a tiny army figurine with its plastic parachute cut by an ambitious child. He hit his head on the metal shelf as he fell with a sick thud, and his entire body crumpled into a heap onto the carpeting.
"Jon." Tim couldn't stop the cry from being pulled from his lips.
"Fuck." He swore under his breath, and ignoring his own panic, immediately knelt beside Jon's prone form, rolling his tiny weight over to his front, and using one hand to smack at his cheek.
Louder, he said. "Jon, come on, wake up."
Jon remained dead to the world, his eyelids firmly shut, and his breath ghosting in shallow draws.
"Jon, come on, wake up. What the fuck just happened here?"
Jon gave no response.
"Come on, Jon, I take it back. You can recite all the spooky shit you want till we're out of here. Just wake the hell up."
Jon let out a rasping exhale, and his breath was cold as ice against Tim's fingers.
He jerked his hand back involuntarily at the freezing sensation.
"Jon, you're scaring me."
Jon's ice cold skin pressed against his knee, and his breath was near frosty as it ghosted into the air.
Tim lurched to his feet and slammed his hands against the door.
"Hey," He shouted, "Hey, anyone– is anyone there? We need help. Please, someone, you gotta help."
Tim jerked his gaze back towards Jon's still unconscious, and near frozen body.
"Anyone, please. We need help."
He slammed his palms against the heavy door again, and jostled the knob roughly.
It gave no more than a rattle and staunchly refused to give. The exact same at his first try, when they had first been trapped, hours ago.
"Someone, you gotta help us. We're trapped." He shouted again into the near silence.
He had tried screaming hours ago too, when they first realized the broken lock on the door had sealed them in.
Only to give up within minutes after no response. It had already been far past working hours, at that point, and there wasn't much chance of anyone being around, much less able to hear.
There was no telling how long it'd been since then, without either of their phones to track the time, but it had been at least hours if his own hunger, and Jon's rambling gave any indication.
A night stuck in document restoration had been far less than desired, with the tiny space crowded by metal shelves, and it's barely heated air to preserve the ink on some of the ancient documents, but it had been a grudging possibility.
Now it was terrifying.
"Fuck." Tim shouted and slammed his hands on the door open more, only succeeding to send a sharp sting through his palms.
"Jon, boss." He knelt back beside Jon's tiny frame. "You gotta wake up. We aren't getting out until morning, and I need to know if you're injured. Come on, buddy, you gotta wake up."
Jon remained eerily motionless, and Tim swore he could almost see tiny wisps of fog from between his parted lips.
Roughly, he shrugged off his jacket and laid it across Jon's chest, tucking the fabric loosely around his narrow shoulders and across his stomach.
It laid almost comically large on him, but it gave the appearance that he was just asleep instead of unconscious, and that he could wake up at any moment. Like one of the naps he'd taken in the stacks back in Research one time after a three day work binge that had ended in him being exhausted, but grinning with success.
Before the move to the archives.
Before all of this.
Tim shoved that thought away harshly, and knelt closer to Jon's shoulder, watching the faint rise and fall of his chest and the flicker of his eyes moving beneath the lids.
He'd sit there all night if he had to, amidst the oppressive stacks of the statements, and in the biting chill that drifted from the vents, and from Jon, if he had to, if only Jon would wake up.

Roasted and Ghosted || Connor & Rio
Timing: Current Location: Abandoned shack in the woods Description: Connor and Rio go ghost bustin’. Warnings: Ghosties
Orion hadn’t exactly decided what he was doing here. On one hand, his goal had partially been to determine whether this guy was for real or just try to use ghost hunting for fame or that thing other kids were saying these days…. Clout. But on the other hand, Rio had always been intrigued by those ghost hunting shows. Though he had never had the courage to watch them by himself at night or anything, trying to determine which ones may be legit or which ones were obviously fake had been a type of research for him. Ghosts and spirits were not Rio’s main focus or even a big concern of his, so he considered this little outing more of a hobby or something.
He spotted Connor coming from afar, recognizing his face from the videos Rio had been binging ever since the two had made plans. The place Rio picked was one of the lesser known ones around town. Places like the Misery Manor and Strawford park that regularly did scary shows and ghost tours would have been too baiting. Just outside of town, Rio stood many, many feet away from a large abandoned house that Rio had heard horror stories about growing up. Kids in school growing up regularly dared other students to hang out around the abandoned property, and sometimes Rio would hear the kids in his college classes brag about hopping the fences and trying to break into the house. This wasn’t Rio’s thing at all. In fact, a few months ago Rio would have gotten a good laugh out of the idea that he had just asked this semi popular and objectively very pretty youtuber to go to a haunted location together. His friend gang really had helped Rio come a long way.
Rio jumped up and down and waved at the guy as he lugged his equipment toward him. “Hey! You’re Connor! You look just like you do in your videos. Which makes sense. Because you’re you!” Maybe he was getting a little too excited about the idea of meeting a mini celebrity. “I’m Rio, nice to meet you in person. Do you need help carrying anything?”
It wasn't an unusual occurrence for Connor to meet up with people in the towns he visited, to be given tours, to have guides or people interested in contributing to his work. Rio hadn't been unique in the least, but that didn't mean Connor wasn't intrigued by him. Rio had offered to show him some cool places, and if there was anything Connor had learned over the last few years, it was that you couldn't overestimate the value of a local.
He really hadn't had the chance to settle into White Crest before Uncle Joe had gone full-on polter on his dad and Connor had needed to go home to London. He was intrigued by whatever Rio was going to show him. Based on what he'd said in their DMs, it wasn't somewhere you'd find out about on the town map.
"Alright, mate," Connor greeted, shaking Rio's hand. "Nice to meet you too." He handed Rio one of his cameras at his offer. "If you want to offer a hand, I might need some additional handheld shots, but I want to get some establishing stuff first. What's this place you wanted to show me?"
Orion grabbed onto the camera that Connor offered and fiddled with it for a minute, “Sure! I don’t have much experience with the stuff but I’m happy to help where I can.” He had watched a number of videos to get prepared, but it wasn’t until he started thinking about being with the Youtuber while he filmed that Rio realized just how much work must be put into each video. The number of cuts and changes in a video must have required multiple different shots and camera angles and takes. And that was just the groundwork filming at the location before going home to have to edit everything together. Rio was only getting a peek into the first portion of what went into making one of these videos. That didn’t make it any less fascinating.
“Yeah, definitely.” Rio waved his arms at the house behind him and began wracking his brain for the myriad of stories he had heard about the place. “Well, it’s a bit of a wild ride. This place has been abandoned since I was a little kid. And people have been talking about it for just as long.” Rio could barely remember the first story that he heard about the place because they seemed to blend together. “The general consensus is that a family died inside. But the rest of the story gets murky. Some people talk about seeing a woman in black and some say that they hear like little kids crying from one of the rooms. The stories aren’t all exactly consistent. I’ve never been brave enough to come here by myself to see if there’s any truth to it.” Rio laughed nervously and scratched at his neck, “But I figured if anyone knows what they’re doing I guess it would probably be someone who made a career out of it, right?”
At least this way Rio could hopefully get a good read on whether or not this guy was legit. Rio already knew how he was leaning. He had used words like medium and exorcist. Not exactly unknown words outside of people in the supernatural know, but it had still made Rio curious. If this guy was legit, at least Rio would know an exorcist. Having connections was always good. “When you say establishing stuff do you mean like, filming the outside of the property? Or are you going to record yourself talking about the place?”
"Just keep it steady and keep me in frame unless you're filming something else specific. Pretty much the basics," Connor said. Maybe if Rio was really interested in this stuff and he was any good, Connor would be able to have an actual camera-person again. "You ever done something like this before?" he asked, curious as to what had made Rio decide to take up this opportunity.
He listened as Rio spoke to him about the abandoned shack. The wood and brick was old and beginning to crumble. He could see rot and damage, evidence of weathering and bug activity. "Oh, sick," he said, probably a little insensitively as Rio explained the history of the place. "It's not uncommon for places to have their own local lore, rumors and stuff that start up. One thing we can do is check local records to see if there's anything officially on file."
He looked towards Rio with a smile. "Good question. The answer is both. But since you're the one who told me about the place, you can do the introduction, if you want."
Orion flipped the camera on and started spinning with it, trying to get a feel for it, “Got it!” He hoped he wasn’t completely awful with it, that last thing he wanted was to screw up any of Connor’s takes. “Uh, depends on what you mean I guess. I don’t know much about ghosts or spirits. I wasn’t even convinced they actually existed, if I’m being completely honest.” Not until Blanche at least, but Rio decided to keep things more vague for the moment. Rio wanted to remain a bit skeptical. He’s been told he has a habit of trusting people too easily. “But like I said I like to keep an open mind. And honestly all this history and supernatural stuff is super fascinating to me.”
Rio nodded, “Yeah, well obviously if you came here you must know that White Crest’s local lore is pretty intense.” The only perspective Rio had into that were stories he had heard from others that moved into town. Apparently, not every town had as many horror stories as this one did. But for someone that had never known anything different, this had all seemed so normal to Rio until he had gotten older. “Wait, really?” Rio couldn’t hide the excitement, bubbling up and forcing him to hop back and forth, “You look at local records and stuff like that?” He had to admit, this was already more convincing than some of the other shows he watched. Plus, who could turn down the idea of doing research? “That’s a great idea! I spend a ton of time at the local library. I can see if there’s anything they can pull for us!”
The offer actually took Rio aback for a moment. He was stunned at first by it, though it eventually developed more into stress as Rio thought deeper about it. He could feel his neck heating up and knew he was blushing from even considering the idea of him being in a Youtube video. “Oh uh- Wow. I mean I really appreciate the offer. Because that sounds really cool. I’m not much of a like… public speaker though. Even if there’s not a public right now. I know there will be a public. That’s terrifying. Does that not terrify you?”
God, if this kid broke his camera, Connor was going to flip his shit, but you had to give a little to get a little, so if this guy was going to help him out, Connor had to give him a chance. "What convinced you?" he asked, eyes bright and inquisitive as he looked at Rio. He liked hearing stories about people who had been skeptics and had changed their minds.
"White Crest's supernatural lore - if you wanna call it that - is exactly why I'm here." He snickered. "Usually I'd look up the records before I came to the building, but it's fun to shake things up. I like the surprise." The idea of being terrified of speaking in front of the camera was hilarious to him, and he gave a good natured laugh. "Nah. Never bothered me. Some people are more naturally inclined to it than others. I get that."
How did Orion explain his introduction into the supernatural? No, it was probably better to stick strictly to ghosts for the moment. Among the many horrors that Rio had seen and knew existed, ghosts had always been more elusive to him. He had proof of werewolves and fae. He had no proof that ghosts or spirits existed. So while he always kept an open mind, certainly not refusing to believe in them, he had kept a healthy amount of skepticism too. Maybe it was idealistic, hoping that maybe one horrifying thing people believed in actually was fake. “A good friend of mine has had experiences with them,” Blanche was like Connor, a medium. Or at least what Connor claimed to be. “I’ve never really had much experience by myself with ghosts, but she wouldn’t lie to me. So I believe her and I want to experience it for myself.” He shrugged. This wasn’t exactly the truth, but it was the closest thing to it that Rio was able to go with someone he barely knew.
“Yeah, fair. There’s uh- plenty of content to be had here. So are you just focused on like ghosts and spirits? Or anything supernatural? White Crest offers lots of stories of both.” Rio had to admit that he was impressed by Connor’s willingness to dive into what most would consider the more boring aspect of ghost hunting. Most seemed to go purely based on stories that fueled the ghost stories. It was nice to see that he actually wanted to dig a little deeper. “Well I’m happy to offer my help in that regard, if you want. Research is kinda my thing, y’know? History major and all.” It was easy to tell that the easy going demeanor that Rio saw on YouTube wasn’t an act, not completely at least. Connor seemed to have that ease in person too. Even his body language was more relaxed as opposed to Rio’s. “Yeah, haha. Awkward people probs, right?” He laughed nervously, cursing himself for not being more sociable. “But let me know what I can do, yeah? I’m willing to help with anything. I want to see what the whole process is like.”
"A friend, hm?" Connor began walking around the house, keeping his senses peeled for any sign of ghosts. There was nothing yet, but that didn't necessarily mean Rio was wrong about the hauntings. Maybe they were just shy. "Might be the same friend that I know." If there was more than one medium in town that he could liaise with, he'd want to know, but most people weren't exactly as open as Connor was.
"I'd say ninety per cent ghosts, ten per cent everything else." He'd probably record a voiceover for this footage so he could add any information they might find in the archives. "Great. Research buddy." He grinned over his shoulder. "Don't suppose you have the key?" His grin widened. "Or are we doing some good old-fashioned breaking and entering?"
“You know someone else that sees ghosts?” Orion questioned, running through the small list of people that Rio knew who was able to see ghosts. The very small list. But just because Rio only knew Blanche, that didn’t mean there weren’t others in town that could also see ghosts. For now, it was better not to bring her up. “That’s pretty cool. I can imagine that it can get sorta frustrating sometimes, seeing things that others can’t? So I’m sure it’s nice to have others that can.”
Ten percent everything else. That ten percent could give him a lot of content in a town like this. As long as he wasn’t too reckless and got himself hurt hunting it down. But trying to film the supernatural wouldn’t always land well with the ones trying to protect it’s secret. Which left a sort of conundrum that Rio had never considered before. Would hunter’s break their own code about protecting humans if it meant protecting the knowledge of the supernatural? Either way, it was probably better to make sure he kept an eye on these videos. To make sure he was safe. Rio gave an awkward thumbs up, “I think being your research buddy would be super cool.” Something told Rio that this wasn’t the first time that Connor had considered breaking and entering. Not that Rio could judge anymore, since he had done his fair share of it himself now. Rio tried the front door, the knob catching and refusing to budge. Unsurprisingly, it was locked. But Rio pressed against the door a little harder this time, shoving it until the lock cracked and the front door swung open, “Hmm. Guess it was rusted or something. Opened right up.” He laughed nervously, standing to the side and allowing Connor to get the first look inside. Rio couldn’t believe he was actually doing this.
"Well, I know a few people through family contacts and networking and stuff, but one in White Crest." There were likely more, Connor knew. Zombies, vampires, banshees... but he only knew Blanche. "It's pretty validating to have someone who knows you're telling the truth. I spent ages thinking there was something wrong with me when I was a kid."
Rio decided to answer Connor with his actions rather than words. He tried the locks himself, but they didn't budge. Rio, however, was stronger than he looked. "Would it be unprofessional if I said that was pretty hot?" he said with a grin. Once the door was open, Connor started filming, getting some shots as he walked through the door. "So we just got in, and apparently my new friend Rio is the Hulk in disguise," Connor narrated, flipping the camera to Rio for a second to smile at him. He turned the camera back to the house, slowly exploring. "Hey, anyone home?" he called.
Orion considered what it would be like to not know anyone else that could see ghosts or spirits. Rio had grown up around people like him, at least genetically. Maybe his was the opposite extreme. Rio had spent most of his life wishing that he hadn’t grown up around other hunters. “I can’t say that I know exactly what that’s like. But it sounds pretty lonely.  I’m familiar with that feeling.”
Rio’s face was on fire, and he could tell that it must be a bright shade of red. “Uhhhhhhhh” Rio drug that out for far too long as he tried to figure out how to reply to the compliment. “Thanks. I mean it doesn’t bother me. That’s very nice. And you’re very pretty. Like objectively pretty I mean.” Rio rambled, clearly not used to receiving any compliments like that. “I mean, I’m sorta dating someone right now. Now that you asked. Or that you were like flirting or anything. But just so you know. I’ll shut up now.” Please for the love of god, have Connor edit that part out of his filming. Luckily, Connor got right back to work filming the place as they walked inside, and Rio trailed behind him and held his own camera up to film as well. When Connor turned the camera towards Rio, he smiled and gave the screen a thumbs up. “So does that usually work for you? Asking if they’re home?” Rio asked curiously, wondering how many ghosts kept up with manners. Considering the two had just broken their door down, greetings probably wouldn’t be the first thing on their minds.
Connor turned the camera back on himself. “Do you hear that, lads, gals and non-binary pals? You heard it here. I’m objectively pretty.” He couldn’t hide his charming little smirk before he went back to filming the room. “Nah, not always, but I’m going into their place. It’s polite to announce myself, right?” He started slowly and carefully looking around the room for any signs of who might have lived here previously. Family pictures, old letters, things of that nature. Mostly all that was left was damp and rot. “We’re not here to do you any harm. My name’s Connor, and this is my mate Rio. We just want to say hello.”
A shiver ran down his spine. Where there would normally be some kind of outline of a person, all Connor could see was a vague shape, like someone had left the stove on. “Whoa.” He stepped back, getting a look at the viewfinder of the camera. “You see that? The orb. That’s one of them. But it’s not.. I mean they’re not… they’re just a shape.”
Orion accepted his fate of embarrassing himself in front of his new friend and the potential hundreds of thousands of viewers that watched his videos and resigned himself to focusing on the video instead of pondering that any further. He liked the ease that Connor talked while the camera was around, as if he was just talking to friends. He definitely had a lot of charisma that Rio wished he could channel. “Hey there” Rio called out into the house as a response to Connor introducing the two of them to the spirits.
Rio spun around at Connor’s sudden find and trained the camera towards the orb-like shape that floated across the house from them. Rio could feel goosebumps running along his arms, but tried his best to keep the camera steady as he slowly trailed behind Connor. Why could Rio see this? He didn’t know nearly enough about ghosts or spirits, clearly. He didn’t to find something in the Scribrary and start reading. Especially if he wanted to continue being friends with and helping Connor out. Rio took an instinctive step back, but managed to keep the camera pointed at the orb. “I hate this. Why is it just floating there?” Rio mumbled, worried that the ghost wasn’t that concerned with manners at all.
“You come here alone?” The voice was nothing more than a whisper, but it seemed to come from all directions. “Bold mistake.”
Okay. That was less than ideal. The camera (and most people who accompanied him) wouldn’t pick up what it was saying, so Connor always repeated it back. “They asked if we came alone, and said it was a bold mistake.” He paused. “Why?” he asked the spirit, his voice casually inquisitive. “Why is it bold? You’re not out to hurt us or something, are you? Seems a bit unnecessary.” He kept his voice casual, not wanting to provoke it. “You got your bracelet?” he whispered to Rio. His own rested on his wrist, a leather knotted piece of jewellery with a glass vial containing salt. “It isn’t a hundred per cent failsafe, but they help a lot. Kind of like a condom.”
‘What are you whispering about?’ It asked. ‘Are you making fun of me?’
“No, of course not. We’re just… talking about the best way to help you.” He’d heard of spirits like this. They weren’t really ghosts in that they couldn’t take a human form, but they could still possess people, usually those who were emotionally vulnerable and isolated. “Are you here alone? I thought a family lived here?” he asked, keeping it talking while he took some supplies out of his bag on a rotting, dusty dining room table.
All of his life, Orion had been the one that heard everything. His stupid hunter hearing was temperamental, but it usually picked up on sounds too far away from any normal person to hear or too private for Rio to be listening in on. For once, Rio actually found himself frustrated that he couldn’t hear something. Knowing that the spirit was saying something that Rio couldn’t pick up on was nerve wracking and left him feeling vulnerable. “Can they hear me?” Rio asked Connor, taking a step closer to the ghost hunter as he tried to unpack his things. It seemed like he had a plan. Rio nodded a confirmation that raised his hand to show off the bracelet that he had tied against his wrist. The salt center made sense. It seemed like a pretty common supernatural deterrence. At least for things no longer alive. “Connor’s telling the truth. I can’t hear you, but neither of us are here to do any harm to you.” Rio felt useless. It wasn’t an uncommon feeling for Rio, but it was something that he hadn’t felt for awhile. For once, Rio had finally started to feel like he was able to help. Now, he was practically back to square one. But he took a step forward and tried to block Connor’s path. If Connor had a plan the least Rio could go was try to protect him.
“They can hear you,” Connor said. “Sorry, I… dunno what to call you,” he said to the specter. It swooped around the room. In the darkness, Connor couldn’t see it properly in its flimsy shape, but he figured it might be trying to possess one of them, hopefully to no effect. He drew out the circle in chalk on the ground, making use of the space Rio was blocking with his body. Hopefully it would respond to the same ritual that had got rid of Uncle Joe.
‘This one is stupid,’ the ghasper said.
“That’s not very nice,” Connor answered, looking at Rio sympathetically. “It said you’re stupid.” He wiped the chalk from his hands. “Some people just don’t know much about spirits. He’s new to this, mate, give him a break, yeah? So how long have you lived here? It’s… nice, apart from the structural issues and dust.” Connor was trying to keep it calm while he prepared his tools.
‘I don’t know how long I’ve been here…’ it admitted. ‘Years. There’s always losers coming in. I took hold of them sometimes.’
“Must be lonely,” Connor answered after repeating its words to Rio so he was clued in. “Make sure you get this on camera, okay?” he whispered.
A ghost had just called Orion stupid, and all he could think to do was chuckle. “That’s fair, but you might be surprised actually. Ghosts just aren’t really my specialty.” He turned around and glanced at Connor over his shoulder. Maybe that comment was a little more information than he needed to give to either Connor or the ghost, but his goal was to keep the ghost busy. Whether that was by peaking its curiosity or annoying it, Rio hoped that it was working. He spotted that Connor was drawing something and didn’t want to risk the ghost being able to see it, so he turned back towards the ghost.
“I think I knew those losers.” Rio agreed with the ghost after Connor had translated, “I grew up around here. I’ve always heard people bragging about coming here. They were usually jerks.” He nodded silently to Connor and readjusted the camera a bit, hoping that even though he was clearly scared out of his mind he was able to keep calm enough that he wasn’t ruining the shot. “But Connor here isn’t a loser. He’s the real deal. And I think he can help you.”
“Aw, yeah, massive wankers, Rio told me all about ‘em,” Connor chimed in. “Can you do me a favor though? I’m trying to help you, yeah? But I need you to come closer so I can see you.” Connor had left his camera on the table with a wide view of the room so it could record anything Rio might have missed.
‘You two don’t seem lonely at all. Well, maybe the stupid one, a little bit, but I can tell he has love in his life.’
Connor shot Rio a look, giving a low chuckle before repeating the ghost’s words. At least Rio was getting some.
“Nah, and nobody should be lonely, so… what do you say?”
There was a poignant pause before the ghasper decided to take Connor up on his offer, fluttering closer, like a little badly formed cloud of smoke. Connor stepped back, beckoning, until it was in position, right there in his chalk circle.
“Sorry, mate. Can’t risk you possessing some other poor bugger that walks in here.” He picked up his book of rituals, holding the ceremonial dagger that operated as his focal point, starting to recite in Latin. The wind seemed to pick up, walls shaking as the ghasper tried to resist.
‘LIAR! You lying bastard. You will suffer eternal damnation. My brethren will rip your insides out and use them to string you up!’
And so the threats continued, but Connor kept his focus, feeling his energy deplete. With a hard gust of wind, the ghasper vanished, and the building was calm once again. Connor had to lean against the table to keep himself upright.
“Bloody hell. Oof… still kind of new at that part,” he murmured.
Connor was sweet talking the ghost. Orion stayed mostly silent from then on, assuming that Connor had a handle on the rest. It was impressive to watch. And certainly cemented the fact that Connor was the real deal. This definitely hadn’t been his first run in with a real ghost. So that must have meant that Connor’s other videos had been real too then? Fascinating.
Rio’s face turned red again once Connor repeated its words. Even the ghost was embarrassing Rio in front of the cameras now? That had to be a new low for Rio. He decided to just shrug against the words. He couldn’t believe that he had just been called stupid multiple times by the random ghost. Though Rio didn’t have much time to dwell on it. The ghost was coming closer to the two and Rio backed away behind Connor to let him take over, making sure to angle it so that both the orb and Connor could be seen in the shot. Once the ghost got into the circle that Connor had drawn, the ghost hunter pulled out a book and started reciting Latin. Rio was familiar with the words, Latin being the only language that his parents had actually supported the twins learning. This was an honest to god exorcism. The orb seemed to go crazy, and Rio could only imagine what it must be saying. And then, the thing vanished as if it had never been there in the first place. “Holy crap.” Rio stares quietly, staring at Connor in wonder, but soon the excitement took over and he was hopping up and down and repeating himself, “Holy crap! You just did that! That was so cool! I couldn’t even tell that you were a beginner.”
Connor caught his breath. It always took something out of you to perform an exorcism, but Connor was still learning. He wondered if it got easier the more you did it, but from the way some of the contacts he’d tracked down spoke about it, he doubted it. “Thanks,” he chuckled tiredly, but his pride was evident in his voice and his expression. “Probably makes me a bit of a masochist to say it was fun, right? Luckily ghaspers aren’t very strong or dangerous.” He straightened up, his energy slowly returning to him. “Alright mate, let’s go back to my place and we can grab a beer and I’ll show you how I edit.” He grinned. “Unless there’s somewhere else you’d rather be.”
Still reeling from the exorcism that he had just witnessed, Orion had no plans of cutting off now and heading home. He had hoped that he could get a look into editing at some point but hadn’t expected Connor to invite him over immediately following this. “Seriously?” Rio asked him, still a bit confused at the idea of someone wanting to hang out with him. He shouldn’t be anymore. He had made friends that he knew wanted to be around him. Rio just supposed he had almost twenty years of evidence to the contrary that always kept him a bit skeptical. But this was a new year for Rio. He wasn’t about to let those doubts hold him back. “I mean yeah, definitely. Nothing better to do at all.” He didn’t break the news to Connor that he didn’t really drink, but figured that wouldn’t be important once the two got to work cutting all the footage together. “I can stop by and grab food on the way? I know a great diner.”

In a world where everyone has a soulmate, everyone chooses their first words to strangers very carefully. On the inside of a person’s wrist was their soulmate’s first words to them in their soulmate’s handwriting, signed with their initials. In your case, the initials were more helpful than the words. Plenty of people had complicated sentences, which made it easy to figure out who their soulmate was. You, however, were cursed with an absolutely stupid “Hey” in cursive, signed with the initials J.B.B. You were entirely dependent on your soulmate’s reaction to your first words, since it was too much of a hassle to ask every single stranger who said ‘Hey’ to you if they had your initials written on their wrist. Most of your friends pitied you since a large majority of them had unique first words, and subsequentially had already found their perfect halves.
The isolation from being one of the few people your age who hadn’t found their soulmates by now irked you, so you moved to New York, and joined SHIELD as a computer analyst under Tony Stark himself. He said he hired you because of your knowledge of any technological system, but you knew it was because of your ability to hack just about anything.
Now, a few months into this new job, you sat in the lab next to Bruce and Tony. They both quickly became father figures towards you, teasing and protective. With most of your family miles away, you certainly didn’t mind. You met the Avengers a few times, but most of them only really came to your lab if they had some system acting up, though they all treated you like a valuable member of the team. Though out of all of them, the only one who you hadn’t said a single word to, nor spoke to you, was Bucky Barnes. You had to admit he was hot, cute at the very least. Though him, Steve, and Tony had reconciled, and Bucky was living in the tower with the rest of the Avengers, Bucky mostly kept to himself.
Though what intrigued the most about the mysterious former assassin was his metal arm. The cybernetic limb, given to him by T’Challa as an apology for trying to kill him, was a feat of technological heaven. You would do practically anything to study it, but the super-soldier avoided your lab like the plague, though given his experience with people in white coats you couldn’t really blame him.
Tony waved a hand in front of your face, “Hello? Earth to y/n? We’ve got a system to hack?”
You came back to your senses, “Yeah, yeah, I’ve got it.” You quickly went to work breaking past the firewall to access the files hidden in the thumb drive swiped by the Avengers on their latest mission to an abandoned Hydra Facility. It took you minutes to bring up everything, “Done! FRIDAY, can you please sort through these files? Tell me if you find anything interesting please.”
“Certainly, Agent Y/l/n,” the AI responded, making you smile faintly.
“Thanks, Fri, you’re the best.” You then turned your attention to Tony and Bruce. “Anything else on this lovely Friday evening? Or did you doubt my abilities and think that would take longer?” you teased, both men smiling towards you proudly.
“That’s it work-wise, kid. Actually, though, it’s movie night, care to join?” Tony was sorting through the files already organized by FRIDAY as he spoke.
“I have nothing better to do so sure. What’s the movie?” You grinned.
“Some Disney movie, the oldies are still catching up on pop culture, Scott insisted they had to binge Disney and Pixar films.”
“Ah, I see he’s a man of taste then,” you were already taking your lab coat off. “Well, I’ll head to my room to change then.” You stretched your back as you spoke, your legs and spine cramped from sitting for too long.
“Sure, see you soon, kiddo,” Tony called out as you left.
-
A few hours later you were in comfy pajamas, a fluff blanket wrapped around your shoulders. You walked into the communal living room, the lights dimmed but still on as most of the Avengers were sitting on couches waiting for Sam, Steve, and Bucky to arrive. You sat next to Natasha, one of the few Avengers you’ve already gotten pretty close to. “Glad you could finally join a movie night y/n.” The redhead smiled at you, letting you grab a handful of popcorn from the bowl she had on her lap, her hand movement allowed you to glance at her own soul mark. She let you see it once, scribbly writing that said ‘I don’t want to hurt you’ signed with the initials CFB. You found it pretty cute how her soulmate, Clint, was the one to pull her out of the assassin life.
“Glad I’m finally joining in,” you grinned, happy to have the team opening up with you. Only Natasha and Tony knew of your not very helpful soulmate mark, both a bit too nosy for their own goods. Tony’s was also an easy one, his mark was “Will that be all Mr. Stark?” with the initials VP. It took him a week before he found out Pepper’s first name was actually Virginia and his soulmate had been taking care of his schedules unknowingly for months.
You heard Steve, and Sam coming into the room before you saw them walking in with an unamused looking Bucky. “All I’m saying is that if your arm popped off it would be the perfect boomerang!” Sam was excitedly saying, the three clearly in the middle of some long argument.
“It’s an arm, it’s barley curved like a boomerang, it wouldn’t swing back around!” Steve countered, most of the lounging Avengers now paying attention to the loud conversation.
Sam, another person you’ve grown pretty close to since you started working with the Avengers since neither of you had met your soulmates yet, quickly turned to you. “Y/n! Perfect! You’re the tech genius and you’ve studied the schematics of Tinman’s arm. What ya think? Would it be a good boomerang?”
“Hey!” Bucky warned softly, not wanting to get others involved in Sam’s schemes.
All eyes turned to you, but you simply shrugged. “All I’m saying is that if you throw your arm, I’d be more worried about the concussion it would give, not if it’s coming back.” You meant the comment as a joke, used to Sam’s antics, but he, Steve, and Bucky all went pale. You looked over at them in confusion, “What? The metal would probably hurt, or the plating gets stuck on something long before it swings back around.” The room was quiet, the other Avengers confused as to why the three soldiers looked like they had seen a ghost.
Steve was the one who spoke up, “Y/n, what are your initials?” He asked softly, glancing towards Bucky, whose blue eyes were wide, locked onto you.
The confusion was written all over your face as you said you initials out loud. Sam suddenly laughed, “No way! And you were finding every excuse to not head to that lab like an idiot, Tinman!”
It suddenly dawned on you why anyone would ever ask you for your initials. You stood, your blanket falling off of your shoulder as you took a step towards the three men, your eyes locked onto Bucky. “J.B.B.” you whispered. “James Buchanan Barnes.” The realization hit you hard, that, if you were to trust the context clues, the man in front of you was your soulmate. You pushed your pajama sleeve up off of your wrist. “I’ve had a stupid ‘hey’ written on here forever with those initials.”
Bucky took a step forward, already tugging his sleeve up as well, eyes locked onto the words on your own wrist. You both grabbed at the other’s wrist, and sure enough, on Bucky’s right wrist were the words “All I’m saying is that if you throw your arm, I’d be more worried about the concussion it would give, not if it’s coming back.”In your cursive handwriting, signed with your initials. You looked up at him, unable to tear yourself away. “I found you.” You whispered softly, your eyes welling up with tears, your heart being tugged towards the man in front of you.
You suddenly grabbed a hold of him in a fierce hug, and he quickly hugged you back, holding onto you for dear life, both of you not caring about the crowd around you. “Oh my god, it’s really you.” He mumbled into your neck, you laughed wetly, tears readily flowing down your cheeks. He was quick to wipe them, gently cradling your face in his palms, he was also teary-eyed, looking down at you like you hung the stars. “Fuck, I thought you were born the same time as me, and I would have lost you to the war, and then when they had me Hydra was always looking for someone with these initials. I’d never thought I’d find you, that you’d live out your life without me, but you’re right here.” He laughed, holding onto you even tighter.
“I’m right here, and I’ve been looking everywhere for you,” You teased, clinging onto him.
“So, soulmates, are we going to watch a movie or are you two gonna gaze into each other’s eyes all night,” Tony called out. You turned, suddenly aware everyone was looking at you. Tony was smiling, although he would admit it wouldn’t be his first choice of a soulmate, he knew how badly you wanted to meet yours so he was happy you finally did.
Bucky grinned, gently lacing your hands together. “I think we’re going to move movie night to my room, we have a lot of catching up to do.” He said, his body already pressed against yours protectively. “If you want to, of course, doll,” he added quickly, making you giggle.
“I’d love that, soulmate,” you smiled, and the goofy grin you got as a response made your insides melt.
“Well then go!” Sam quickly shoed you both out, the team laughing behind you. “Better treat her right Tinman! Or Tony, Bruce, Nat, and I will kick your ass,” he warned, still smiling at you two.
“Of course,” Bucky quickly said, already leading you to his room. “I’ve waited a hundred years for my soulmate, I’m not gonna mess it up now!” He called out and once Sam and the rest of the team were floors away, and it was just Bucky and you, he pressed you against his door, both of you wearing matching grins. “Now, where were we, soulmate?”
