Core Disaster Week-- Day 3
Mission Report: May 23, 20XX
Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne, Robin
Mission Completed: Young Justice Mission XXX
Summary: First of all, I kind of hate the 90s now. Like, I really hate them. If I have to hear “Just a Girl” once more time I’m going to cut my ears out of my head. The mission that we went on– to recover some kind of glowing sphere that Captain Marvel was worried about– ended up transporting us to another dimension where not only was it the 90s, but we were all the same age.
Notes: Never make fun of Impulse for his hair ever again, it could be so so much worse. I have no idea what 90s Bart was thinking with that horrendous mop of a hairstyle, Bart’s fluffy look is so much better. Also, convince Kon to go for the studded leather jacket, undercut, and one piercing look because it’s hot as hell. Also, that tight-belt? Yes please!
Notes For B: I’m sorry for any “non mission important” details included in this report. Please don’t yell at me. It’s really had to keep on task when you have the image of your boyfriend in tight leggings and a studded leather jacket taking up most of your mind.
Report: Captain Marvel sent the team to retrieve a small glowing gold sphere that he said would be dangerous in the wrong hands. He gave us a containment chamber to keep it in and clear directions on what we were supposed to do. Directions that Bart didn’t follow. Why am I not surprised?
Bart grabbed the sphere with his bare hands, something he’d not supposed to do. When he realised he chucked the thing at Kon, who caught it before chucking it at Cassie who chucked it at me. I managed to catch it, forgetting that I’d removed one of my gloves to use a fingerprint recognition device a few minutes previous. I managed to contain it, but not before it was able to wreak havoc.
The three of us were transported to another universe where it was the 90s. While there, we met our 90s selves. Cassie was… different. She had straight dark hair, big glasses, red skin-tight shorts, a wonder woman shirt, a leather jacket and white knee pads and gloves. Kon, as I’ve mentioned, had an undercut and a studded leather jacket, which was hot, like, so hot. I think I was drooling. Kon was giving me weird looks. Bart had the worst hairstyle known to man, it will haunt my nightmares, but other than that, he was pretty much the same.
Anyway, out 90s counterparts helped us get back, though 90s Kon spent too much time showing Kon 90s music he didn’t know about and torturing my poor ears. I was praying for when we could get back home and I could play Alex Benjamin and get the horrible sounds out of my ears. The two Impulses at least kept each other busy talking, which meant that I didn’t have to worry about him bugging me the whole time while I was trying to plan. 90s Tim appreciated this too. Cassie and Cassie seemed pretty wary of each other. Also their Cassie hadn’t been working with their team as long as our Cassie has.
We eventually found a way to reverse-engineer a way back to our world. 90s Tim helped me build it and get it running, and then returned home. So far I haven’t seen any further reactions to what happened now that we’re back, but I’m keeping an eye out since we still don’t know what Captain Marvel’s ball actually does.

Entry 2
Wow...it has been a few months since we have been on the island. Let me fill you guys in on what has been happening. For the past few months, all of us schoolboys quickly adapted to the island and all it has to offer. The calming scenery with beautiful sea, sweet smelling air, and the bright sun overhead makes the island wonderful and fun to play on. While those other activities are going on, me and other older schoolboys are building fires, planning to use the smoke from them to use as a rescue signal to alert passing ships. We also have meetings during the week to discuss what is happening around us and what needs to be done.
Me, Simon, Maurice, and Piggy were taking a break from working to relax. So, we went to then lagoon to swim in the water and sit under the cool shades of the palm trees. It was only a few minutes from when I sat down when I felt another person take a seat beside me. And of course, it just HAS to be Piggy...anyways. As we were sitting there, Piggy started to speak of ideas to benefit us while we are on the island. If you ask me, his ideas were L-A-M-E, and my opinion matters the most because I am chief. He proposes that we should make a sundial so we can tell time on the island as it passes. Yeah right, so I mocked his suggestions with having trains, steam engines, and TV sets. I laughed at my own joke, so did Piggy. Only, I really do not think he caught in I was making fun of what he was suggesting, he does that a lot. At times I feel bad that he does not know I am making fun of him, but then again Piggy is a bore and the only way to have ANY fun with him is to make fun of him. So, I am not completely wrong. But then Piggy must have caught on this time because he brought up the point, we all want to be rescued. I really hate when he is right. To ignore him, I look around and start conversations with Maurice and Simon, joining in on their games. Piggy FINALLY gets the hint and leaves. We all continue chatting and having fun until we see something passing in the distance...
"Smoke!" Maurice calls out. We all whip our heads, looking around to where Maurice claims he saw smoke. Then I spot it. Not the smoke, but it; a SHIP!!! I look around frantically then I see where the smoke is coming from. A small fire on the mountain, barely visible. But I do not see anyone on the mountain with it, keeping it alive to make sure the smoke is seen!! It is supposed to be Jack and his hunters; but they are nowhere in sight. Forget them...we need that passing ship to see the line of smoke. I hear Simon, Maurice, and Piggy around me asking questions of what to do about the smoke signal. The only thought on my mind is trying to get the attention of the ship. And so, I try my best. Io run towards the shoreline of the beach, the other boys in trail. By the time we get the top out of the mountain, I am out of breath and out of ideas; until one suddenly comes to mind. I look back at the boys, "Piggy's specs, we need them!" While yelling, my mind was racing. What if by the time I grab Piggy's glasses and make it back up the mountain, the ship is already gone??? By the time we got to the top of the mountain, the fire was dead and good as gone. And so was the ship. Well, almost. I start chasing the ship like a madman. Running and screaming after it, begging not to go and there are people on this island that need rescue. It did not work, like it would ever!! The fire, GONE. Our only hope of rescue, GONE!!! I turn back to Simon, Maurice, and Piggy, face red and puffy. Cursing Jack and his hunters for letting the bloody fire go out. It was THIER turn to watch the bloody thing!! I was cursing and yelling until I heard chanting...
We all look to where the absurd noise was coming from, and I was wondering who would start a chant when we lost rescue. Finally, we found the source of the noise. Bloody Jack and his hunters walking out of the forest into the clearing of the beach carrying...A DEAD PIG ON A STAKE?!?!?!?!??!?!?!? Coming near us, I could hear their chant clearly; "Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill her blood." What a weird and unusual chant. Once the group gotten very close-a little too close for my liking with a dead PIG held high- they stopped. Jack approached me, his face smeared with all kinds of different colored clay, making him almost unrecognizable. He then started to tell all of us boys in an excited tone and amazing grotesque detail how they caught the pig, how it was squealing its last squeals, and then they brutally killed it and mounted it on a stake. All I could do was twist my face into a look of complete disgust and anger. All on mind was the dead fire. I blurted it out to Jack about the fire. He had a NERVE to look offended that I brought it up, like I spoiled HIS fun. He ignored my comment about the fire and went on and on about he caught and killed the pig. I repeated it again, which made Jack go uneasy from the statement. He tried to change the subject ONCE AGAIN to the dead pig, but then I brought up the ship sailing right past the island. Words cannot explain how angered at the fact Jack abandoned his responsibility of a task that could SAVE US to go off and kill a pig!!! Something so trivial!!! Jack tried to argue back that we needed food to eat and there is always a "next time." Piggy joined into the conversation and tried to defend my point saying we needed the smoke for a help signal. What Jack did next was a blur. He pushed me out the way and bolted to Piggy. He called him a "fatty" and pushed him, resulting in Piggy's glasses being knocked off his face. One side of the specs were broken. While Piggy cursed at Jack and Jack mocked his actions, I was thinking. How could Jack do that, does NOBODY care about safety and responsibility but me??? That is when I decided it was time. We needed another meeting to sort things and put our priorities in order. My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by Jack shoving a piece of meat Infront of me, beaconing me to eat it. He gave one to the rest of the boys, except Piggy. His reasoning is because Piggy did not go hunting and forge the meat himself. Piggy pointed out that neither me or Simon went hunting, and we gotten pieces. He kept this squabbling up until Jack was fed up and shoved a piece of meat Infront of him. Jack and his hunters started to talk about the killing of the pig again, excited and giddy. Then they started to do that stupid chant again. It was not until then, after the chanting died down, that I finally called an assembly. The only words coming out of my mouth, then I trekked back down the mountain, fuming over today's events.

twitchcon :: cc!multiple x reader
fluff , platonic , gender neutral ! some mcyt headcanons if you were to attend twitchcon w them
cc’s included in order: tommyinnit , tubbo , ranboo , wilbur soot , philza , technoblade
cw: kinda lengthy for the minors (i think), not as much for the hags LMAO /hj
Tumblr media
tommyinnit
this man is so excited to be at his first twitchcon & being able to hang out with all his best friends makes it a hundred times better
when he isn’t at a panel or doing meet & greets, he’s dragging you everywhere to see the whole convention center (clingyinnit)
he is just so at awe despite this not being his first convention to attend
you’d be surprised he gets tired pretty quickly & stops over to the partner lounge
you both rest for a bit against a wall in a pretty packed hallway despite it being an exclusive area to twitch partners
every time a famous streamer walks by he will yell it out and record it then vlog your reaction, even if they’re surrounded with bodyguards & trying to get to another place quickly
he’d zoom in his camera to their face at a horrible angle and be like
“oh my god it is THE ninja. ninja famous fortnite player, HELLO.”
but he gets completely ignored
then the camera pans out to you, still really zoomed in that the capture is blurry
“ninjainnit?”
“EH?”
tommy is so confused, forgetting the bit ninja did on his twitter where he renamed himself ‘ninjainnit’ for a split second
okay tommy isn’t that athletic but he will chase you and the rest of your group down a hallway if he had to
he’d probably find a toy gun from the artist alley/seller booths and shoot you and wilbur with it
but if tommy stumbles across any of the dream team, it’s about to be minecraft manhunt but irl
and he will def play his stream music while walking or smth when he’s bored (or trying to jump dream & sapnap)
** DO DO DO DO MANHUNT MUSIC **
oh my god,, now thinking about it he’s probably the one to open like random doors of empty rooms and steal stuff while you film him
like he will take a random empty glass, a bunch of pens, a freebie t-shirt, everything he sees he takes with him and you’re just panic
“tommy we’re literally not supposed to be here, and i’m stuck here filming you. it’s surely a felony in action”
“well, it’s their fault for leaving the doors open! plus this is great content. who’s the dirty crime boy now, HM?”
you’d tell wilbur about this and he’d scold tommy and threaten him with the same pen tommy stole
tommy probably would also drag you some weird event happening outside twitchcon along with tubbo and ranboo
“pokimane is giving out free pizza to everyone if we go to this one restaurant down the street!”
“we are literally gonna get bombarded. have you forgot you’re like three of twitch’s top streamers? i’d rather pay for all of our meals than try getting free pizza from pokimane against all her other fans”
“DEAL! let’s go to five guys then!”
you unfortunately end up paying for all 3 of their meals and picking on their food instead of buying your own
even with all of them making way more money than you, they still happen to be cheapskates
OR tommy will end up getting a burrito from a taco truck, immediately making a mess of himself, then proceed to complain how messy the food is to eat despite knowing what he was getting himself into before even ordering
“shit my clothes are all ruined now!”
“well that’s your fault you got a burrito, as if it’s your first time having one”
“i mean the food is good, i’m not complaining about that but i don’t think it’s that good that it’s worth costing my red and white shirt, im just saying”
Tumblr media
tubbo
same with tommy, he is so excited
i don’t know why but i imagine him overpacking his suitcase and you making fun of him for it
anyway tubbo has his irl backpack on and streaming EVERYTHING
probably spends a lot of time at a bunch of different booths, checking out all the pointless gadgets he could buy for his stream
you’re the one to stop him from doing so
“TUBBO IT’S LITERALLY OVER TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS, STOP. DONT GET IT.”
“WHY NOT?? IT WILL BE COOL FOR MY STREAM AND I WILL USE IT EVERYDAY”
“okay theoretically speaking, how the hell are you going to even bring it home? which—let me remind you—is across the country for you and not to mention the giant ocean separating america and the uk”
“free ship-pang!!!”
“i hate to break it to you tubbo but there is no way you can get free shipping on a FIVE FOOT PC. it’s nearly as tall as you! what are you even gonna do on it, hack the government???”
the arguments are all lighthearted but eventually you give in and let him splurge over a thousand dollars in different devices he claimed he “needed”
i could honestly see him visiting the beaches in san diego and going for a swim or even renting out a boat to use for a bit :D
also he’d bring benson along with him and taking a bunch of scenic photos with it in them
i have a feeling he’s the type to schedule a spontaneous meet & greet because he was bored & gets in trouble for causing a mob in a certain part of the convention
he’s like “oh god, i did not expect this many of the bois to show up AHAHAH oops”
tubbo would def pull a lilypichu and bring his melodica or ukulele and play themes while following random people/cosplayers
at the end of the day, you’d find his bag just stuffed with crap he either got for free or bought in the convention
“how did you get all that stuff? i was with you all day??? and it’s only the first day of the convention, hello?? it looks like you’ve been collecting as if twitchcon has went on for a week already!”
“HA i have my ways, do not underestimate my powers”
lani would probably tag along for the vacation honestly
like whenever someone comes up to her giving her gifts/asking for pics, you and tubbo would tease her about how famous she is
and i dunno but something about tubbo just gives me this amusement park energy and going to legoland and spending the whole day there since it’s near by and because he can
Tumblr media
ranboo
he is like a beacon in a sea of people, that’s it .
i honestly just see him causing as much chaos as the other two
ranboo would probably like take someone’s camera whether if they’re streaming or if it’s for the vlog, hold it up high, and point the camera directly above someone’s face
it did not matter how tall you were and if you had platform shoes on, ranboo was a skyscraper next to you
“HAHAH this is how i see you from this height, this is funny”
then he shows you the vid of the recording of him getting like an aerial view of your face
like you see your nose and all your pores and just overall a bad angle to be captured in
“OH GOD RANBOO DELETE THAT, ITS HORRIFIC”
i dunno why but i feel like he’d jump scare every person that was cosplaying as his minecraft character from behind for some reason
“BOO!”
“ranboo i’m not even remotely dressed as your skin—”
“don’t worry i’m practicing it’s fineee”
“you’re like the height of 2 people combined, i think you will be fine as is. you even intimidated the security at the front”
i feel like if he had his own panel he’d like pull up some undertale song in the middle of it and scare all the people in the crowd
“lore but in real life”
probably would get some matching keepsake with you from artist alley/the booths!
i could imagine like a cute keychain or smth :D
i feel like he’s the type to like randomly volunteer as a participant for those mini events in a booth thinking it would be funny but regrets it the moment he’s on stage
after introductions the presenter is like “okay ranboo, you will be given a random meme prompt above your head you won’t be able to see until after and you will have to make a random face to compliment it!”
and you can just tell by his facial expression he’s just thinking
oh god what have i gotten myself into
what is this game? who came up with this idea?
you’d laugh at him the whole time, even after he’s off the stage and finished with that small fiasco
“that was horrible. never again.”
“AHAHAH IT LOOKED SO AWKWARD YOU DID GREAT”
“I CROSSED MY EYES AND PUFFED MY CHEEKS BECAUSE I COULDNT THINK OF ANY OTHER FACIAL EXPRESSION. THE PROMPT ENDING UP BEING ‘WHEN TWITTER CANCELS YOU FOR USING PLASTIC STRAWS.’ AND WHEN I SAW WHAT IT WAS—LITERALLY WHAT KIND OF GAME–”
“I GOT PICTURES AND EVERYTHING ITS PERFECT AHAHAHAH”
Tumblr media
wilbur soot
honestly with wilbur it’s slightly more chill
he already experienced twitchcon before so he’s just glad to see his friends again after so long
insists that you explore the convention yourself rather than sticking with him the whole time but you do anyway!
wilbur would probably have like a mini concert and gets you front row seats with the rest of the group
but that doesn’t mean before it that you’re not helping him set up
“y/n please– my amp is so heavy, i can carry it”
“don’t worry! i’m strong” :D
and musically talented or not, he will probably bring you and the rest of his friends up to stage to just vibe and sing a bunch of random acoustic songs
it’s not like some big concert hall stage,, i imagine more like a casual thing w a slightly higher platform from the ground yk?
after spending a long day at the convention he’d also bring everyone across the city to la jolla or smth !
you’d all probably have dinner there and chill, watching the pretty sunset
“this place is really pretty but oh my god im gonna lose my breath hiking up this stupid hill, please slow down”
and wilbur is like ??? because he’s completely fine with his long legs and everything
“just walk faster”
“no, you walk slower”
AHAHAH and for context traversing through la jolla by walking around the town is a bit hard since it’s basically on a bunch of hills (walking up from the beach to a restaurant actually is actually sm work, trust me ive been there)
wilbur honestly doesn’t spend that much time in the actual convention center, he’s probably sightseeing a bit of san diego with you instead
but i could imagine him staying at the tabletop games area playing dnd or smth
“c’mon y/n, come join!”
“uhh i’m not sure, i’m not the best at roleplay and...”
“it’s fine don’t worry!”
he’d pull you in with him and end up enjoying yourself even if it was your first time
and if you’re of age, you’d be wilbur’s +1 at the twitch partner party and make sure mans doesn’t too drunk
if it’s not too late in the night, you two would chill at the beach after the party
it’s just a nice, calming moment after all the loud music mixed with hundreds of conversations at the party
also something about like taking polaroids pictures with wilbur just seems to go hand in hand for me
i’m not sure why but you will be taking lots of pics with wilbur for sure (not necessarily you both in the photo, but of sceneries as well while you’re together!)
Tumblr media
philza
literally a dad on vacation with his children, it doesn’t matter how old you are
need sunscreen? surprisingly has it
want a snack? probably has a small granola bar somewhere in his bag
but same with wilbur, he’s more chill like this isn’t his first time at twitchcon
omg he’d def bring you to the artist alley and just buy a bunch of fanart and stuff tho
“oh wow look phil, someone made a giant poster of the dream smp and shit!”
“holy shit that’s so good what the fuck!”
and he’s like rushing to that artist’s stall to buy a poster or print
idk why but phil seems like the person to know where he’s going all over the convention center
he probably had a copy of the directory map but yk
you just have trouble reading it bc all the signs seem to be misleading to you
nothing really crazy screams out to me of what phil would do at twitchcon besides like go to a few events, spend a bunch of time w his friends, etc
HOWEVER i could see him wasting a lot of his time at the gaming area and testing new games that are currently on the works of being developed
like “woah y/n, this vr game is sick, you should try it out!”
ngl i feel like phil would plan a visit to disneyland for everyone, like he gets the tickets and everything but once you’re at the park it’s free reign, y’all go everywhere with not much of a plan
the minors would try to cheap out phil and pay less than the others even though everyone else fully paid phil back and everything LMAO
ok but if he’s feeling nice, phil will buy everyone cotton candy/pretzels :D
and if you’re not hungry, he’d at least get you a mickey balloon
HE WILL HAVE MATCHING MICKEY EARS WITH MUMZA YES .
ALSO STAYING FOR THE FIREWORKS THOUGH OMG
just in general, best idea phil had for taking everyone to disneyland :D
Tumblr media
technoblade
surprisingly techno is really calm despite this being like one of his first conventions
but when he finally settles in and gets comfortable, he’s showing the same energy
if you’re playfully yelling, he will yell back
however there’s still those awkward moments that are unavoidable
idk why but something about him makes me think that if you feel tired and want to go back to your hotel room, he’d go with you just to make sure you get there safe
he probably also needs a break from being around everyone else for a moment too LMAO
i could also see him searching far and wide in the artist alley for fanart of himself AHAHAH
walking around with him in the convention consists of someone yelling “BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD” every 5 minutes but you don’t really mind
something about him makes me think he’ll be forced into playing minecraft twitch rivals along with the rest of sbi or smth
and he’s like “oh god, i’m going to be on stage? and people will see my face while i play minecraft?”
“i’m sure it will be fun!”
“i mean i like being competitive and feeding my ego, but i’m not that desperate.. well”
do i imagine techno getting easily tired of being surrounded by a bunch of people and just going back to his hotel room with phil and watching some anime with him? yes
and will you watch even if you have no idea what’s going on? also yes
i feel like after a while of you guys hanging out in techno’s room, the rest of the gang will just slowly join you guys
like eventually everyone is there; you, techno, phil, wilbur, niki, tommy, tubbo, ranboo, etc
and techno is like “wha– where did you guys come from?” because his room is basically packed
and niki could be like “oh we can go if you want!”
then techno just insists that she’s fine “but who let the child get in?” clearly implying tommy’s presence
“OI!!”
eventually techno gives in with the company and someone gets a bunch of board games to play from the front desk
lots of yelling and laughing for sure
when it becomes late at night, techno is like half conscious, you’re on your phone, wilbur is staring out the window & enjoying the night view, tommy is passed out on the couch from tiredness, tubbo & ranboo is still wide awake quietly talking, and phil & niki are helping clean up the giant mess
eventually everyone brings themselves to go back to their own room except tommy who won’t budge
you give techno a look and he immediately understands what you were thinking
he rushes to the bathroom to fill up two cups with ice cold water and handed one to you
“on three?”
“okay.. one”
“two”
“three!”
then both of you pour the water on the poor child’s face
he jolts awake and saying a string of curses
“what the fuck techno? y/n too?”
“get out” is the only think techno says that before tommy rushes out with his stuff and you leave right after
a/n: i honestly can’t wait until conventions open up again though,, phil and ranboo were talking about vidcon earlier and omg.
also i kinda want to take in tommy requests but i’m not sure??? it would be both cc! and c! x gn!reader for sure tho. i love writing him to bits but who knows, maybe i’ll only stick to my ideas,, or not. send in a tommy x reader request, might do it, might not, but he’s my fav cc if you can’t tell so! :D (i dunno if i will keep it strictly platonic, but unrequited crushes and stuff are fun to write hehe,,)
edit: let’s hope i fixed all the grammar mistakes LMAO we love writing late at night :) /s /hj

Mean Rindou x f!reader
-Rindou Haitani was always so mean
Warnings: Cussing, Violence, Mean Rindou, sexual touching, Pet names, toxic dynamics, bullying
I always did hear about how mean Rindou Haitani was. Ever since they took over Roppangi, but I knew even before that he was mean. In middle school I peaked in halls watching him beat poor kids up, and his older brother standing right behind him smiling proud. I didn’t get to experience it first hand until the start of highschool.
I never understood why he did it. The first two years it wasn’t that much. The occasional means words and shoving. His stare in the back of my head. Making me go get him things but it was so small, at least it seems small compared to now.
Now he seems to be more physical and demanding. It seemed like no one wanted to be around me and when they were the next day they were gone in an instant. I never knew what I had done to make Rindou Haitani hate me.
Before the bullying I wasn’t always the best student and after it became worse. So usually after school I stayed later in the class or library studying and doing work. Hoping today was one of the days that the Haitani’s would leave early. Unfortunately for you, your luck has run out for the week.
You stayed quietly alone in the classroom. Every so often a person passing by. An hour in you felt more at ease because by now Rin would be here. I began to pack my things to relocate to the library. As I’m waking to the library I feel a tug on me. I don’t even have to turn around to know who it is.
“Where the hell have you been?!” He looked down at my with his glasses slightly down and light panting. He was in an obvious rush.
“I was here in the classroom. I needed a little help.” I tried to mumble the last sentence, knowing he’d tease me for it. But Rindou Haitani never missed anything I said. “Awww, stupid little girl can’t do her homework, yeah?” He bent down a bit trying to look me in the eyes. I looked up a bit to see his lop-sided smirk. I didn’t feel very hurt at this comment. He’s said way harsher for me to care about this one. I simply felt annoyed.
I tried to turn back around towards the library but it seemed like today he had other plans. Grabbing hmmmm harder and turning me around once more. “Nuh uh, I’ve heard heard some things about you this week let’s go.” I felt my stomach drop at that. Heard some things? What has he heard. Even before him I’ve always kept to myself. So what could he have possibly heard.
Dragging me outside towards the lunch area he pulls me in between the buildings. Pushing me against the hard wall. He put both arms on it caging me in. I shuffle my feet around a bit and play with my fingers.
“Now, I’m only gonna ask once. What did you do?” He titled his head eyes looking at me. I look down moving my feet. I don’t even know what I did. I hadn’t done anything!
“I really don’t know Haitani. Truly I’m not even lying!” I tell him with a whiny voice. Sounding like a child pleading for anyone to believe them. Except unlike a child, I wasn’t lying.
Yet he stared down at me with glaring eyes. He right hand came up to the back of my neck. He hand stayed there for second before shoving me toward. Our chest connected, I was pressed up on him.
“I thought we talked about lying. It’s not a very nice thing to do, yeah?” As his warm breath spoke into my ear it was only then that I felt tears prickle into my eyes. I remember when I used to fight back. Try to push and shove but to no avail. So now I felt just as fearful and helpless.
“Haitani-”
“ugh, you can’t even get my name right. I know you’re not that much of a dumb bitch to forget my name.” I gulped down my fears speaking in a calm voice. “I really don’t know!” I felt my voice cracked as I yelled that.
In fear I retrace my whole day. Every step I took every word I spoke. I tried my hardest to remember it all. I don’t know what he’d do. Would he make me get on my knees and beg for forgiveness? Would he pour water all over me and make me walk home with dripping wet clothes? Or would he pull my hair back and scream profanities into my face. Either way, I knew I’d hate it.
He sighed obnoxiously. Pulling my arms forward he stared in disgust, “What are these.” I looked down with confused eyes. “Bruises…?” He nodded, “Yes baby, and now where did you get these?” I suddenly knew what he was so mad about.
As I said, Rindou Haitani has been targeting me for a while. Weather it be tripping me in the halls or embarrassing me in front of my classmates he was always doing something. But I guess they didn’t realize that it wasn’t an invitation for them to bully me.
Some classmates have been bullying me for the past month now and it’s less aggravating than Rindou but still painful. Still, I don’t know why Rindou would care about it. It’s not like he’s any better.
“Some classmates have been messing with me, it’s not anything that bad I guess…” He started to caress the marks on my arm. Why did he seem so upset?
“Hmm, I see.” I watched him for a second as he just stared down at my arms, “I’ll fucking kill them,” he gripped harder onto my arms, “Pieces of shit think they can touch things that doesn’t belong to them. Imbeciles will wish they were never alive when I’m done with them.” He held onto my arm tighter as he said each word with venom.
“You’re hurting me Haitani, stop!” I try shaking him off as I say it but stop at his next actions
“Shut up.”
His lips were immediately on mine. I didn’t even notice it at first. My eyes widen in surprise as he stared at me with intent. He pressed down harder and closer onto my body as he moved more into the kiss.
“Shut up and say my name.”
He said between his rough kisses. I couldn’t even say anything with his lips pressing against mine. His tongue darting out to my teeth. The freshness of his breath is something I can already taste and the smell of freshly washed hair blew into my face as his hair drooped down. I felt a soft hand come onto my cheek. And a arm around my waist. A way Rindou had never held me before today.
“Please, say it.”
“….Rindou…”
He seemed pleased. Very pleased by this action. His tongue darting down my throat while his hand started to caress my cheek. He started to swipe at the stray tears running down my hot face.
“Only for me. You’re only allowed to look like this for me. Only allowed to be this vulnerable for me pretty girl.” I shook my head, “No, I’m not yours Rindou.” He chuckled with endearing eyes still wiping my eyes. “Yet like a dumb little bunny your still here. It’s not like I’d let someone like you ever leave me though.” Both hands went down to my waist massaging the skin.
“You’re so dumb you know? I’ve been acting like this for years, and you still don’t understand how I feel. No one can do what I do to you. You’re mine.” He bumped noses with me making me look at him. My eyes were still teary and my cheeks were red hot. I sniffled softly as I stared at him. He groaned
“God, don’t look at me like that.” He held my waist tighter, “I can’t stand your stupid fucking face pretty girl.” I felt a little more tears fall down my face at his words.
I never understood why he did this. Why couldn’t he be nice if he liked me. Why did he kiss me if he didn’t like me. How does he feel? The answers didn’t really matter. All I knew was, Rindou Haitani was just so mean.

The Bad Batch Preferences pt. 1
Kissing
------------
Crosshair
Favorite Place: Just behind your ear and along your jaw. He prefers to wrap his arms around you from behind and these places are easier to reach. Plus they’re more sensitive and he likes to watch you squirm.
Makeouts: Definitely. And frequently. Whenever he gets back from a mission, you do something he finds hot, or just because he hasn’t kissed you in awhile.
First Kiss:
It was hot on Techitua. Dusty too. You lowered your shades on your nose, a polarized version of Tech’s goggles as Crosshair opened a case on the ground.
A makeshift shooting range was set up parallel to the Marauder, a metal piece with a target spray painted on it placed at a distance of 25 meters.
Hunter had told you that if you wanted to stay on board, you needed to know how to defend yourself and assigned you to Crosshair, without even asking if you had any prior experience.
“Alright. I don’t expect you to be top notch with this thing.” Crosshair said, his tone borderline patronizing as he removed a small blaster from the case. “Blasters take a lot of practice to use correctly and you’re only a doctor. I wouldn’t be surprised if you didn’t hit anything.”
You raised an eyebrow at him and took the blaster from his hand. Barely looking at the target, you took aim and fired one, two, three, four, five shots.
Crosshair’s slack jaw and a quick glance told you they all hit the bullseye.
“You forget, soldier,” You said smugly. “I’m an army doctor. I can rip you apart and put you back together just as easily.”
Crosshair’s toothpick hit the dirt and then he was on you, smashing his lips to your hungrily.

Echo
Favorite place: Your hand. He likes to hold your hand and bring it up to his lips for absentminded kisses. When you cup his face, he turns his head and presses kisses to your palm.
Makeouts: Not too often. He’s shy after all his modifications and you definitely have to initiate them, but once he relaxes, then he’s into it.
First Kiss:
“Dang ferreck!” You swore as the control panel of the rescued radio shocked you for the fifth time that night.
You gave it a swift thump on the top in retaliation, gritting your teeth.
You needed this to work. It had to work. It’d been so long since you heard real music.
Another try at the wiring and another spark that singed your fingertips. You let out another string of curses and tossed your screwdriver onto the counter with a clank before thumping your forehead against the table repeatedly.
There was a gentle touch on your back that stopped your assault on your cranium. You didn’t need to turn around to know who it was. You could feel the poke of Echo’s prosthetic through your tunic.
“You alright?” He asked.
“No,” You grumbled into the metal.
Echo sighed quietly and after some shifting behind you, you raised your head to see his human hand disconnect two crossed wires and reconnect them at new points. There was a fizz of static and then a gentle song began to float through the speakers.
You let out a whoop of joy and leaped to your feet, grabbing the clone by his collar to pull him down for a quick kiss.
“Thank you!” You squealed, snatching up your screwdriver again and leaving Echo standing there, stunned and pink.

Hunter
Favorite place: Your neck. He likes to feel your pulse point and kiss the sunmarks and spots along your skin. It’s also one of the best places for him to get your scent.
Makeouts: Not as often as Crosshair, but frequent. He likes to be affectionate with you and when he gets time or feels stressed, being around you and close to you is his priority.
First Kiss:
You’d been separated from the Batch in a marketplace and were now wandering aimlessly.
As you passed an alleyway you heard a whistle and a man sidled up to you.
“Hey gorgeous,” He said. “Where you going?”
“Away from you,” You muttered, but he heard it anyway and snorted. “Feisty girl.”
A gag rose up in your throat and you increased your pace. Behind you the man called. “Hey I’m talking to you! Though I appreciate the view!”
A hand landed on your butt and you whirled, fist raised to deck the stranger for daring to touch you. Before you could though, someone stepped between you and punched him, hard.
You looked up to see Hunter, a deep scowl on his tattooed face as he glowered at your harasser.
“Don’t touch her,” He growled, drawing up to his full height.
The man spat and launched himself at Hunter, sending them both rolling to the ground.
There was some yelling and sounds of fists hitting bodies before Hunter scrambled to his feet breathing hard as your harasser lay on the ground, groaning.
Hunter turned to you with worried eyes and you punched him in the arm hard and then quickly pecked his lips. “You didn’t have to make a scene.”
“Sorry,” He said, not sounding sorry at all as he pulled you in for another kiss.
.*(*)*..**(*)**...**(***)**...**(*)**..*(*)*.
Tech
Favorite place: Your forehead and temples. He can get so busy with this or that and a quick peck to the forehead is his go-to for affection when he’s caught up in something.
Makeouts: Usually whenever he gets an idea he wants to try with you. He learned affection mainly from books so he’s picking up more and more as he goes. Usually you initiate the sessions. However, when he gains confidence later in the relationship, things get more serious as he experiments.
First Kiss:
“Tech?” You called from the porch of your hideout. Hunter had sent you to fetch the male for dinner and so far he was nowhere to be found.
“In here!” The clone called and you followed the sound into the shed to see Tech holding two vials above a pot.
“What’re you doing?” You asked leaning on the doorframe.
“I’m testing a theory. The substance excreted from the fire salamanders’ skin may have some properties that can boost our explosives.” He replied, carefully tipping the vial of white powder in, followed by the orange liquid.
“And you thought it was a good idea to test that in my shed?” You said, quirking a brow.
The technician had the decency to look a little abashed. “Well it isn’t in the house.”
He set the tubes aside and picked up a firestarter, holding it over the pot. “And a spark to trigger the reaction..”
Crack. Fwoomp! Boom!
The small windows shattered and you ducked as a blaze burst up from the pot and then died out just as quickly, sending up a cloud of ash and dust.
When the smoke receded, you heard Tech give a small cough and looked over to see his whole face covered in soot and the front of his normally gelled back hair spiked up.
You burst into giggles, picking up a small cloth from the worktable and approaching the clone to wipe his goggles clean.
He blinked at you from behind the lenses, like he was surprised to see you and you smiled. “That went well.”
Tech gave you a sheepish look. “I’m sorry about the windows. I’ll fix them tomorrow.”
You laughed again, waving him off. “It’s alright. I was prepared for damages when I brought you lot here.”
He gave you a grateful look and suddenly you couldn’t help yourself, darting forward and pecking his lips.
Tech immediately turned scarlet. “What was that for?”
You shrugged. “For being you.”
And then you passed him the cloth with a wink. “Hunter says dinner’s ready. You should probably clean up a bit before you come inside.”
.*(*)*..**(*)**...**(***)**...**(*)**..*(*)*.
Wrecker
Favorite place: Your cheeks and nose. He likes to pepper kisses all over your face. He’s so enraptured by you that he wants to keep you close at all times to make sure you’re real. Plus he’s a massive cuddlebug.
Makeouts: On occasion. But this boy is too much of a teddy bear for anything more than gentle loving touches. He’s slow and sweet and so very careful with you.
First Kiss:
The Batch was pinned down in an abandoned bunker as a gang faction gathered outside. Echo was doing his best to reboot the turrets while Tech worked on the doors, but unless it happened fast, you weren’t getting out of this unscathed.
You were peering out one of the broken windows with Hunter, Crosshair, and Wrecker picking off grunts where you could, but they had greater numbers and illegal firepower.
A shot from a bike mounted turret hit the wall above your lookout and the ceiling caved in, causing Wrecker tackle you, cradling you to him as he rolled away.
“You alright?” He asked, pushing off of you, his voice higher than normal.
“Yeah.” You said and Hunter swore as glass shattered behind you.
“Echo!! What’s the status on those defense systems?!”
“Same as you asked thirty seconds ago!” Echo snapped. “These circuits are rubbish! This place should have been scrapped for parts years ago!”
Parts.
A light bulb went off in your brain and you immediately turned to Wrecker. “Give me a charge!”
“Why?!”
“Trust me!”
He gave you a look you couldn’t read under the helmet, but dropped an explosive in your palm.
Immediately you started dismantling it. “I need a gravmag, some wires, and anything explosive we can spare. Oh and Echo’s arm.”
“What?” Said Echo.
You ignored him and started your hunt for parts as you snatched a screwdriver, a multipurpose laser tool, and pliers from Tech’s backpack, stripped a console, broke Crosshair’s gravmag off of his grappling hook, and took three more charges from Wrecker. You dismantled, screwed, and rewired before beckoning Echo over and having him weld it all together.
“(Y/N),” Wrecker asked as he fired off another shot. “What are you doing?”
You waved him off as you activated your new, shoddy weapon of mass destruction and bolted for the window, lobbing it as hard and far as you could.
“Hit the dirt!” You yelled and there was a large boom and the whole building rattled.
When the dust cleared, you beamed proudly at the clear landscape.
The gang that had been surrounding your hiding place was now lying unconscious having been thrown a good 50 meters in all directions at extreme speeds.
“What-“ Said Crosshair in his rare stunned tone. “What did you do?”
“Simply,” You said. “I reversed the polarity and made it into a big bang.”
Wrecker whooped and tossed his helmet aside, scooping you into a bear hug and peppering kisses all over your face. “THAT’S MY GIRL!”
You turned pink and he drew back from you enough to press a sweet kiss to your lips, which only served to fill your face with crimson.
There was an awkward cough from one of his brothers and Wrecker turned a similar shade of red, setting you back on the ground.
“Er-“ He said, patting your shoulder awkwardly. “Good job.”

Catch and Release
Long fic with over 9k words in which the reader is a bodyguard working for the Nostrades and is present at the events of Yorknew. Events in the Yorknew arc have also been altered
Tumblr media
Warnings: kidnapping, threats of violence, degradation, kink talk, mentions of death, the reader makes some not very good choices
To say that it was nerve-wracking to be sitting in such close proximity of one of the Phantom Troupe would be a massive understatement. You, along with the other remaining bodyguards of the Nostrade family, had witnessed this man – the one Melody had heard being addressed as 'Uvogin' – slaughter an entire group of mafia bodyguards and four of the Shadow Beasts completely on his own.
And now that same man was sitting next to you in the backseat of the car, the only thing keeping him in place being Kurapika's chains.
Luckily, though, his attention wasn't on you.
“Hey, driver. You think these chains can hold me?” Uvogin sneered at Kurapika, “if you don't kill me now, you'll regret it later.”
“Shut up.”
It seemed that you and Melody had the same idea to keep quiet and avoid attracting attention to yourselves, as you both kept your mouths shut and avoided eye contact. You didn't feel safe in that car. With either of those men. Even though he was on the same side as you, Kurapika had been out of control earlier, and with how much clear hatred he had for the cannibalistic murderer sat next to you, you worried that he would snap and endanger everyone again. Hopefully Melody would be able to calm him down if it came to that.
“Don't you understand? This is a golden opportunity,” he continued to taunt.
“Stop wasting time and just-”
The chains around him tightened and you could hear him grunting in pain.
“I told you to shut up!” Kurapika yelled, as he went as far as to turn around in his seat to glare at his captive, ignoring Melody's pleas for him to watch the road.
Uvogin was clearly taken aback by Kurapika's abilities, struggling against the hold of the chains as best he could in his weakened state. He had been shot at point blank range with a anti-tank cannon, and now it was chains that were doing him in.
You silently prayed Kurapika's hold on him would remain tight; it would be so easy for this giant to lean over and take a bite out of your head. You happened to have the binoculars at the exact moment he did that to one of the Shadow Beasts, and of all the things you had witnessed tonight, that had been among the most disturbing. Either Kurapika's chains were able to keep his movements restricted enough, or Uvogin just hadn't thought to do that yet.
The death-glares were still being exchanged between the two men with Melody becoming increasingly insistent for Kurapika to keep his eyes on the road. Not wanting the car to crash, you were about to try and get Kurapika's attention back on the road as well when Dalzollene suddenly called.
“Kurapika, floor it! It's a tail!” your boss's voice sounded over the phone.
“A tail? But who-”
You all seemed to have the same thought, using gyo to look over Uvogin. A needle stuck out of his thigh, a thin nen thread leading past your face and out the window.
“Shit,” you hissed, pulling the needle out and tossing it through the window as you rolled the glass down. It vanished into the night as Kurapika sped up. It had to have been the rest of the Phantom Troupe following.
You stayed twisted in your seat, looking back at a car that was following. It would be hard to lose them in the desert, and it seemed unlikely that your group would be able to make it to the city to ditch them.
Then, though you had a hard time making it out, you saw something fall onto the hood of that car, and it suddenly began to move about like no one was controlling it. The headlights behind Dalzollene's car completely vanished after that brief commotion, and after a few moments, it seemed as though they had been stopped.
“I don't think they're following us anymore,” you said. One could hope, at least.
“Not sure why they stopped, though,” you added.
“It doesn't matter,” Kurapika said.
Surprisingly, Uvogin had been quiet the whole time. When you turned back around and glanced over at him, he was staring blankly at the ceiling of the car, his anger from mere moments before seemingly dissipated.
“This is our chance to hurry back to the city,” Dalzollene spoke again.
“Roger that,” Kurapika answered.
“We'll switch the location to pattern C,” Melody said. She then looked back to you.
“We don't want muscles here putting up a fight. You can do that, right?”
“Of course,” you answered.
Now was not the time to lose your composure; right now, you needed to prove that you did have value as a hunter working for the Nostrade family.
Bringing up your arm and holding your palm so it was facing up, you focused your nen, and a small anemone bloomed in the center of your hand. You turned to face Uvogin, who was looking at you now, an eyebrow raised in question as he looked at the flower made of nen in your hand. You blew softly at the flower, causing the petals to flutter off and into his direction.
“The fuck is that supposed-”
Uvogin couldn't get any more than that out before the petals hit him, vanishing as your nen entered his system and forced him into a deep sleep. He slumped forward, and you were finally able to relax slightly, now that you didn't have to fear immediate death from a man who proved he could kill without the use of his arms or legs.
“Don't relax just yet,” Melody chided, “we still need to get him into a secure location.”
You nodded.
“Right. Sorry.”
You felt better when he awoke next. For one thing, you weren't stuck with him in a tiny, confined space, instead standing to the right of Dalzollene and having more than just Kurapika and Melody with you, as the entirety of the remaining hunters were surrounding him. It also helped that he had been completely strapped down to the metal table that took up the majority of the room, various restraints and wires around his neck and limbs keeping him secured.
Though with the way those bonds seemed to be straining against his muscles, you had to wonder if they'd be as effective if he didn't have the drugs that Dalzollene had pumped into him earlier.
He looked about the room after waking up, taking in all of you that surrounded him. His gaze seemed to linger slightly longer on Kurapika, you noted.
“Do you understand what's happening here?” Dalzollene asked, “where did you put the stolen merchandise?”
Uvogin seemed unconcerned, sighing a bit as he glanced at the hunters around him.
“What time is it?” he asked.
He spotted you, and asked “how long have I been asleep?”
You kept your mouth shut, instead looking over to Dalzollene, who seemed to have grown angry with Uvogin's nonchalance about the situation. Pulling his sword forward, Dalzollene readied himself for a strike.
“It seems that you don't grasp your current situation,” he growled, “I'm asking the questions here!”
He thrust the sword downwards, intending to stab the spider in the leg.
Uvogin's aura flared, and the tip of the sword broke off as it struck him. The piece of metal went flying into a breaker box on the other side of the room, lodging itself deep inside of it.
The noise echoed in the room briefly, and then silence overtook it. To think that even with those drugs in his system, Uvogin still kept his composure and was still able to use his nen so freely. He stayed quiet, looking blankly at the ceiling again. This man truly was something else.
He looked to Squala.
“Let's make a deal.”
“What?”
You hadn't even realized you had said that aloud until he looked over at you in response.
“I'll spare your lives, so let me up now,” he said to you.
“Huh? Wh-what is he saying?” Squala asked, looking to Melody, “is he insane?”
Although you and the rest stayed quiet, you were certain that sentiment was shared by most of your fellow bodyguards.
“He's serious. I think,” Melody answered.
It was easy to write this man off as just being insane, but when you thought about it more, it wasn't like that: the Shadow Beasts, nen masters who were more powerful than you could ever hope to be, had been so easily disposed of by this man. If he could take care of them within a matter of minutes, the rest of you didn't stand a chance. And he knew this. He was literally only making this offer because it would be less of a hassle for him.
Strange to think that this was likely Uvogin being charitable.
“Let me make something clear: We're after the auction merchandise that was stored underground,” Uvogin explained, “if you guys don't know where it is, I have no business with you.”
A beat of silence passed as everyone took in his words, broken by Basho as he began to talk, clearly annoyed by Uvogin's words.
“Wait a moment,” Melody said, interrupting him.
“You didn't steal the merchandise?” she asked Uvogin.
“The safe was empty when we arrived. The Shadow Beasts had already taken it all. I guess they didn't bother telling grunts like you.”
His words stung a bit, forcing you to acknowledge just how low the Nostrades were on the mafia social ladder, but to you, it didn't seem that he was trying to pick a fight or get a rise out of anyone. He was simply explaining the situation and calling it as he saw it: you and the others were insignificant, and even after going as far to kidnap and drug him, he saw all of you as being so little of a threat that he was willing to forget about it.
You didn't need Melody to tell you that he was telling the truth.
Squala was sent into a mild panic at the realization that Uvogin wasn't bluffing, and the way the spider smirked at that panic made everyone tense.
And then his gaze went to you.
“Everyone makes mistakes. We haven't stolen anything yet,” he said, and then looked back to Dalzollene, “so take these off, and pretend you didn't see anything.
“If you do that, you get to live.”
His words sent a chill down every spine in the room, and despite your best efforts to stop it, your hands began to tremble, forcing you to clench your fists so hard that your nails dug into the palms of your hands.
Everyone seemed to be in a similar state as you.
Everyone, except Kurapika.
“What about the guests?” he asked.
“Guests?”
“The guests who were in the auction hall. Some of our colleagues were there.”
It was a terrible thing to admit, but in the midst of everything that had happened that evening, you'd managed to forget about the hunters who had gone to the auction. They were likely dead. And Kurapika had to have known that.
Another thing you had managed to forget was Kurapika's reckless behavior from earlier. Perhaps you should have been impressed that he had kept his composure for this long. But if there had been any chance of your boss deciding to take Uvogin's deal in exchange for your lives, you could just feel that Kurapika was about to put an end to that.
“I see. That's too bad,” said Uvogin, “we killed them. It was part of our plan-”
Kurapika punched him in the face as anger clouded his judgment again, his expression turning to one of rage has he yelled “how many lives do you think you took to carry out that plan of yours?!”
Before he could get another punch in, Basho stepped forward and pulled the younger man away, yelling at him to stop.
Uvogin didn't seem upset at all, despite the bruise on his face and the blood coming from his nose. If anything, he seemed amused.
“If the merchandise is in safe hands, we don't need him. We'll hand him over to the community,” Dalzollene said, having regained his composure during Kurapika's outburst.
Uvogin wasn't paying attention to him, but instead was still grinning up at Kurapika.
“So no deal?” he joked.
You all left the room as Dalzollene stayed behind to double-check the restraints on Uvogin, but before you could exit, he instructed you to wait for him in the next room. Kurapika, Melody and the others went down the hall to another room while you stood outside the cell door. It worried you that Dalzollene had asked you to wait, and you had a bad feeling he was going to tell you to keep watch in the room where the prisoner was being held.
“I just made sure that he was attached securely to that table, and I've put in another dose of those muscle relaxants,” Dalzollene said to you as he came out of the room, “but just to make sure he doesn't do anything, I want you to wait in there until people from the community come for him.”
God fucking dammit.
“You think he'll be able to get out even with all of that?” you asked.
“No, but I want to make certain that he can't try anything,” he answered, “we've all seen what he's capable of, and I don't want to risk him bringing down this whole building just from his shout. If he looks like he's going to do anything, I want you to knock him out again. Among those of us who are left, you and Kurapika are the only ones who can do that easily.”
He sighed.
“And with how Kurapika has been acting, I can't trust him to not do something stupid, especially if he were to be left alone with him. So that just leaves you.”
“Okay boss,” you said, nodding slowly.
“If you think you can get any information out of him, then do it,” he continued, “but overall, just keep him in line.”
Dalzollene dismissed you with a wave of his hand, heading to the desk on the other side of the room, presumably to make whatever calls he needed to the community. You could hear him muttering something under his breath, something about wishing Baise were here instead.
Going back into that room was the last thing you wanted to do – especially when you would be completely alone with him – but you forced your legs to carry you back to that door.
Uvogin's eyes were on you the second you entered that room, making a chill run through you as he looked you over. You ignored it as best you could, situating yourself next to the door and leaning against the wall.
“So you'll be keeping me company while we wait for those mafia idiots to come and get me?” Uvogin asked.
You had really been hoping that he wouldn't talk, that he would be more like he had been in the car, or after he'd woken up. Dealing with him not speaking and staring at nothing would have been easier, but it seemed like he was riled up after Kurapika's outburst, and now you were the only one left for him to take it out on. And of course, now you had no excuse to disobey Dalzollene's orders to try and get information out of him.
“Looks like it,” you answered.
“Hm. Guess I lucked out with that,” he said, “you're easier on the eyes than some of those others in your group.”
'Please just shut the fuck up,' you thought to yourself.
“What, going to give me the silent treatment? You were pretty quiet earlier, too.”
He paused, thinking of something.
“You mad about your friends, too? Did we kill someone important?”
“.... Not really. I barely knew them,” you admitted.
He let out a low whistle.
“That's cold. At least that other guy cared.”
“It is what it is,” you said.
Maybe if you just kept your answers short, he'd give up on talking to you.
But probably not.
“So then this is purely business for you?” he asked.
You said nothing, keeping your gaze on the floor.
“Is it worth losing your life over this?”
You couldn't help the way you tensed, and he chuckled at you when you when you crossed your arms over your chest. You were trying to appear nonchalant, but he saw right through it.
“It looks like the others have made their choice,” Uvogin said, “but my deal is still open for you: let me go, and I'll make sure you live.”
“I can't do that,” you answered.
“You were watching while I took out those mafia, right? You really think it's safer to side with people that weak? When I get out, you can be damn sure they won't be able to protect you.”
“If I let you out I'd need protection from them,” you snapped, “and right now I'm more scared of my boss than I am of some guy who's going to be tortured to death.”
“Hmm. Your boss, huh?” he said, looking back over to where the sword tip was still jammed into the breaker box.
“Can't say he impresses me. And you can't be anything special if a guy like that can keep you in line.”
Your eyes stayed on the floor, and you refused to react to the taunt. It wasn't like he was wrong.
“I can't help but wonder. Why the hell is someone like you involved with a mafia family?”
You stayed quiet.
“I asked you a question,” he growled.
His tone sounded dangerous, and it spurred you to reply.
“I need the money,” you said.
“What for?”
“That's private.”
He laughed.
“Well now I really want to know. What, you looking to save up for something? You got a boyfriend waiting for you back home?”
It wasn't anything like that, but you weren't about to explain yourself to him. You worried you might need to tell him something anyway. He seemed amiable enough at the moment, but it looked like his mood could change pretty fast.
“What's your name?” he asked suddenly.
“.... Why?”
“Because I want to know.”
Uvogin was the prisoner of the Nostrade family, and yet he was clearly in control of the conversation you were having as you complied with his request and told him your name.
“So how long have you been working for these idiots?”
“.....”
“Oh come on! Is it going to hurt that bad to answer a few questions? You said yourself that I'm going to be tortured to death, what's the harm in humoring a dying man?” he asked, “you think they're going to ask me about you?”
The 'you' at the end was virtually spat out, as if to cement the fact that you really meant nothing to anybody. Looking over to the camera that was in the far corner of the room, you wondered if Dalzollene could hear the two of you. If he could, he hadn't yet felt like he needed to step in. Your boss had told you to get information if you were able, but given how this was going, you weren't sure if it was possible to accomplish that.
“I... I only just started working for them,” you answered, “a lot of us were hired just for this job.”
“Just for the auction?”
“Yeah. Our boss wanted to bid on some of the items.”
“I'm guessing your boss wasn't among those that we killed,” he said.
“What makes you think that?”
“Because why would you grunts go after us if there was nobody to sign the paycheck for you? If it was just one of you with a vendetta I'd get it, but all of you? Nah. The majority of you would have run off the second you lost your reason to care.”
…. His reasoning was pretty sound, though you hated to admit it.
“So who all did die at the auction?” he asked, “just a bunch of the new hires?”
“No,” you mumbled, “only one of them was.”
Uvogin scoffed.
“Too bad for them. But I'd say they were luckier than you.”
“They were lucky?”
“Yeah. They're deaths would have been pretty quick. But none of you are going to have a that luxury when the rest of the troupe finds you.”
It would be telling him too much to mention that you were almost one of those casualties. Originally you had been assigned to go to the auction with Tocino and Ivlenkov, but Baise had approached you and asked to swap places. She said that she was curious about the auction and wanted to see it for herself. It didn't matter much to you either way, so you had agreed, taking her place outside the auction house with Linssen and Basho. It was a simple decision, and one that had saved your life while it condemned hers.
Telling him all that would be far too much.
“You've gone quiet again,” Uvogin said, “you sure we didn't kill someone you cared about?”
“I told you, this is just business for me,” you answered, “I'm surprised you care at all. I would have thought it would be the same for you.”
“Oh, it's business for me as well. But this is a job I do because I enjoy it. If I see something I want, I take it. I don't give a shit about money.
“You'd probably be happier if you didn't care as much about money.”
“Good for you; not everyone can live like that,” you said dryly.
“More people should. It would make things more interesting.”
“I'm sure it would,” you sighed.
“Don't be like that. We'll probably be stuck in here for a while before those idiots come for me, so might as well make the most of it.”
“..... You're not worried about the community getting you.”
“Why should I be?” Uvogin asked, “you saw what happened with the Shadow Beasts, right? If that's the mafia's best, what do I have to be worried about?”
“Might be different when you're in custody,” you said, “they might have someone who can get through that nen shield of yours.”
Uvogin snorted.
“Doubt it. No one can take me down.”
“Except my colleague.”
Uvogin scowled at that and glared at you. You tensed again, readying your nen in case you needed to knock him out, unsure if he would let out another earth-shattering yell or start spitting pieces of human skull at you. With the strength and power he had demonstrated, you were grateful for the drugs Dalzollene had put into him, because the more you looked at that muscled body, the more you were certain that the restraints on their own weren't enough to keep him down.
“Yeah, except for him,” he hissed, “and you. I'd say it was impressive that you two incapacitated me and managed to not die afterwards, but sneak attacks have never done much for me, and they never work twice. Neither of you will catch me off-guard again.”
“I don't think we really need to,” you answered carefully, “you're not really going to be our problem after you're collected.”
He grinned at you again.
“Feel free to believe that.”
There wasn't much you could respond to that with, so you stood there in silence. The community couldn't get here soon enough. This situation was stressing you out more than anything else you had ever been through, and this was only your second day in Yorknew. If the mafia was able to get things under control, there would still be a few more days of the auction that you'd need to participate in for Neon's sake. And that was if the rest of the Phantom Troupe didn't try anything else for the rest of the days.
If the Phantom Troupe was as tight-knit as Uvogin was making them out to be, there was a chance they would come after all of you in retaliation.
Why the hell did you get yourself mixed up in underworld business?
“Oh, that reminds me – I might die before the community comes to get me,” Uvogin said.
“What?”
“That fat bastard from the Shadow Beasts infested me with leech eggs,” he explained, “apparently they're going to hatch inside of me and when they do I'll die. You might want to help me out with that unless your boss wants to hand over my dead body to the mafia.”
“..... I saw you being shot at by an anti-tank cannon. You seriously expect me to believe that you'd be done in by baby leeches?” you asked.
“It's a bit different when something is hatched inside of you,” he said, grinning as he continued “but I guess I can't force you. It's not like it's on me if I die before I can be interrogated.”
There was no doubt it would be bad if he died before he was in community custody, and since you were the only one with him, the blame would probably fall on you.
“How long before they hatch?”
“Who knows.”
The way he said that made it seem like he was lying, and with the way he grinned, it seemed like he knew that you knew and that you couldn't do anything about it. The man's body in the picture frame at the Nostrade mansion came to mind, and if that was what Dalzollene was capable of when it came to a slip-up, who knew what would happen if you failed on this.
Pushing off of the wall, you sighed.
“I can't take out the leeches,” you said.
“But,” you continued before he could say anything else “I can slow down their hatching process.”
Holding out your hand, another flower bloomed in your palm. This time it was a lotus. Just as you had done earlier, you blew on it softly, and the petals fell off and flew towards him, vanishing as they landed on his abdomen.
He watched in silence as the petals vanished before looking back to you.
“You said you were only slowing it down?” he asked.
“Yeah. I usually only use this to slow down a bad wound from bleeding out too much,” you explained, “but it should work for this. However long it'll take for those leeches to hatch, it'll take twice as long now. So if you only had 24 hours, it's now 48. That should be long enough for whatever the community does to you.”
“Hmm. You did something different in the car,” he mused, “what nen type do you have? Conjuration?”
You didn't answer, not wanting to tell him any more about your nen ability.
“So I'm right?”
“.....”
“C'mon, sweetheart. You can't answer that question?”
“I think I've been pretty good about answering your questions,” you said.
“Yeah, and I've got a feeling it's supposed to be the other way around. That boss of yours told you to interrogate me, right? And you can't even do that much,” he sneered.
“I came to the conclusion that trying to ask you anything would be a waste of time,” you snapped back, “you're not going to give me any meaningful answers so why bother talking to you about anything important?”
He seemed amused by your reply.
“Took you a while to finally snap. But how long will that last?”
'Stop responding,' you told yourself. That brief burst of anger that had built up purely because of how annoying he was insisting on being dissipated before he had even finished speaking, and by this point, you had just been ridiculed for far too long.
Uvogin demanded that you speak again, and even though you tensed again at the way he growled that order, this time you refused to say anything. He glared at you, and you readied your nen, preparing to knock him unconscious.
He tsked, but did nothing else, looking bored as he watched the ceiling. You didn't lower your guard, though, still watching for any sort of sign that he would try something.
You weren't sure how long you stayed like that, waiting for him to make a move.
When he did say something again, you managed to not come off as startled as you were.
“Was it also part of your instructions to be staring at me the whole time?” he asked, “not like I'm going anywhere.”
“I was under the impression that you liked having eyes on you.”
“Sure, I like the eyes of my victims on me before I kill them.”
You couldn't help letting out a little bit of a laugh at the corny threat. His eyes snapped over to you instantly.
“Something funny?”
His voice was low and dangerous, and the more sensible part of you knew that it was smarter to ignore him again. But the petty side of you wanted to see if you could upset him as a miniature vengeance for how the conversation had gone earlier.
“Yeah,” you answered, “I was just thinking that you're pretty lucky that it's me watching you and not one of my colleagues that you killed. She had the ability to make men fall in love with her by just kissing them. If she'd been here, she'd have had you spilling your guts about everything. She also would've had you liking the way you were tied up. Maybe have you begging her to step on you.”
You tilted your head to the side slightly as you smirked.
“That would have been pretty embarrassing for you, but it also would've been pretty funny for the rest of us.”
He didn't say anything.
You expected some sort of response. Maybe some outrage, maybe some threats, maybe even managing to flip your taunt back on you in some way and continuing to dominate the conversation as he had been the whole time. There was definitely anger in the way he looked at you, someone so much weaker than himself mocking him, but he still said nothing, just frowning as he looked back to the ceiling.
That made you more on edge than if he had begun to yell at you.
The air between you two was far more uncomfortable than it had ever been, and you found yourself wishing that the people from the community would show up already.
“You really don't pull off the tough act very well, sweetheart,” Uvogin said.
“But congratulate yourself on managing to piss me off.”
He said nothing more than that, continuing to stare at the ceiling as if he hadn't said anything at all.
Fuck you messed up.
The regret from saying the things you did hit you like a bucket of cold water. Why the hell did you do that?
The sound of the door opening made you jump, forcing you to stand to attention as Dalzollene walked in.
“The people from the community should be here soon,” he told you, “I'll meet with them when they arrive, so you go to the room where the others are.”
Before you could answer, you heard Uvogin scoff behind you.
“Making sure all of your subordinates are gone so you can get the full credit?” he asked, the distaste clear in his voice. He looked over to you, asking “why do you follow a guy like this?”
“You should be worrying about yourself, not her,” Dalzollene snapped.
He motioned for you to leave, which you did. You looked back one last time before the door closed behind you.
Uvogin looked bored again.
Not even five minutes had passed after entering the room with the others when Uvogin's roar echoed through the building, shaking the foundation and making you cover your ears in a feeble attempt to protect your hearing. There was no time to question what had happened; Melody ordered everyone to follow her, and you all did, running down to the express elevator and piling yourselves into the car as you heard walls being smashed behind you. For whatever reason, no one came after you, and you were all able to escape back to the hotel where Neon was staying.
It wasn't hard to figure that Dalzollene had been killed, and now there was no leader and a very angry spider who would be coming after you for revenge.
The events that followed were like a whirlwind for you: Kurapika was voted in as the new leader, Light Nostrade was coming in the next day to take Neon back, and then Kurapika realized that sensitive information regarding the Nostrades and the buildings they owned in Yorknew was available on the Hunter website, and from that, he had determined that Uvogin would find your current location. You'd then needed to move Neon and all of her things into a new room at the same hotel while Kurapika stayed in the top suite to wait for him.
“His focus will be on me,” Kurapika had said, “as long as the rest of you stay in the new room and don't come out, he'll leave you alone.”
You were happy to listen to his instructions and had been ready to wait for him to take care of Uvogin once he arrived.
But then Neon started complaining about something.
Evidently she had lost a cellphone charm, probably in the other room, and was throwing another tantrum until she could get it back. The two women who worked as her servants were, understandably, a bit nervous to go out into the halls while everyone waited for the spider to arrive. So you had volunteered to go for them, making a bit of a show for Neon as you said that you would go get it and for her to wait for you to come back. That had seemed to calm her down, and the one servant, Elisa, whispered a small “thank you” as you left. You weren't stupid enough to go back up to the top suite, however. The last thing you wanted was to be caught in the crossfire. So instead you planned to hang out somewhere on one of the lower floors, and then you'd go back up for Neon once you had gotten confirmation that everything was safe. Hopefully during that time the servants would be able to placate Neon until you got back.
You made your way down a few flights of stairs before picking a random floor where you would wait.
The door opened before you could grab the knob.
Uvogin stood there.
Time seemed to stop as the two of you looked at each other, his eyes widening in surprise as you looked at him in shock. You were completely alone with him, again, and this time there was nothing restraining him.
You were going to die unless you did something now.
It took only a few seconds for your nen to conjure a flower you could use to get out of this situation. But it was a few seconds too long. Before you could bring your hand up Uvogin had grabbed you by the throat and slammed you against the wall in the stairwell, holding you at eye level so you were several feet off the ground. Your hands went up to your neck as you tried to pry his fingers off when he began to squeeze.
“I was wondering if I'd see you again,” he said, “I thought maybe you'd have run away from Yorknew after last night. Good to see that you stuck around.”
Black splotches were starting to appear at the edge of your vision, and you let out a pathetic wheezing sound as you tried to get in a breath.
“Need to breathe already? I guess I can do that if you do something for me first. Blink if you understand.”
The grip around your neck left you unable to concentrate and form something with your nen, so you complied, blinking at him.
“Good. Now, blink once for 'yes', twice for 'no',” he said, “is the chain-user up there?”
You blinked once.
“Good.”
True to his word, his grip on your throat relaxed slightly, and you took in a few desperate gulps of air while he chuckled at you.
“Not so fun when you're the one being held against your will, is it?” Uvogin asked. When you didn't respond, his eyes narrowed and he growled “huh? Didn't I ask you a question?”
“N-no...” you said, finally finding your voice.
“That's what I thought,” he sneered, “before the night is over that chain-user is going to learn a few things, too.”
He looked up at the stairway.
“I'm guessing he's waiting up there for me.”
“Yeah,” you whispered, “he-he knew you'd be coming, and he wants to f-fight you by himself.”
That blood-thirsty grin appeared on his face and you shuddered.
“That's great. I can't wait to pummel that guy into nothing.”
He looked back to you.
“But what do I do with you? I can't just let you go, can I?”
His grip was becoming tighter again. Your struggles were renewed, clawing as best you could against him and trying to push him away with your feet.
“Wait-!” you began.
“Settle down.”
He pushed himself against you, the arm that held you up now pressing uncomfortably against your chest while the other went down to hold your leg in place against the wall.
“Where'd that sass from earlier go? Or were you acting like that just because you thought you were safe when I was chained up?”
“Wait-!” you tried again.
“Should've taken my deal,” said Uvogin, “then you wouldn't be here, begging for your life like a pathetic wretch.”
“No-!”
“The underworld is a nasty place, sweetheart. You should've realized that before you signed up for this. I gave you a chance and you threw it away. Now you have nobody to blame but yoursel-”
You had continued to struggle, your free legging pushing against him as best you could, and somehow, one of his legs had ended up between yours, and when his thigh had brushed against your clothed cunt, you gasped.
He stopped talking, looking slightly confused until he looked down.
Moments that felt like small eternities passed in silence while you continued to pull at his hand, managing to wrap one hand around his thumb.
Uvogin began to laugh.
“What, you like that?” he asked, pushing himself harder and grinding against you. You couldn't help the way you blushed, and the shame you felt was overwhelming when he continued to laugh at your expense. The noises leaving your mouth didn't help either, and they didn't stop even when you bit down on your lip to try and keep quiet.
“I didn't peg you for a slut, but I guess you learn something new every day,” Uvogin said, clearly enjoying himself as he continued his ministrations.
“Stop! I don't want this!” you yelled.
“Don't lie to me sweetheart. Not when it's written all over your face just how much you enjoy this.”
He grinned at you.
“You mentioned something earlier about me liking being chained up and wanting to be stepped on,” he whispered, “was that you trying to tell me what you wanted to see?”
“No!”
“I can't believe that. It was too specific of a thing to bring up without being into it. You liked seeing me tied up, huh? Do your colleagues know about that? Do they know how much of a desperate slut you are? I wonder....”
He trailed off, then leaned in closer to whisper directly into your ear.
“Do those nasty little kinks of yours go both ways? Would you like it if I chained you up and tossed you around? What else are you into? I'd love to find out.”
Your hands left his one that held your throat, pushing against his face to try and get him away from you. He didn't budge, not even slightly. All you accomplished was him laughing at you again while your pride was slowly torn to pieces.
Without any warning he let you go, and you tumbled to the floor in front of him. You scrambled back into the corner of the stairwell, one hand raised as you prepared to defend yourself. Uvogin remained relaxed, smirking down at your shaking form in the corner.
“Don't bother trying to do anything; I'm not going to let you hit me with that again,” he said, “if anything you should be grateful.”
“.... Grateful?” you asked incredulously.
“Yeah, because I'm going to let you live.”
“Huh?”
“Tch. That's all you can say to that?” he scoffed, “be a little more happy; you're not dying tonight.”
He pointed with his thumb over his shoulder.
“Once I take care of that chain-user, I'll be back for you. I was actually thinking you might be worth leaving alive anyway; I think my boss might like certain aspects of your abilities. And once he's taken them, I'm sure he won't care if I keep you for myself afterwards.”
You were lost for words and could only shake your head at him.
“I told you earlier,” he said, “the underworld is a nasty place; you've got no one but yourself to blame.”
Finally, finally, he turned and began to make his way up the stairs, leaving you in that corner while you tried to process what just happened and the things he had said. You wanted to run, to at least get out of that stairwell and into a space that felt safer, but until Uvogin was further up those stairs and far away from you, you stayed still.
He paused when he began up the second flight of stairs, looking back to you and speaking your name in a way that made you tense again.
“You can try to run if you want,” he said, his tone more serious and seeming much more collected, “but if you try that, I will find you. And things will be much, much worse for you if you run away, you can count on that.”
He grinned, and somehow this one seemed deadlier than any other you had seen thus far.
“I'll be seeing you.”
And with that, Uvogin continued to make his way up the stairs and to the top suite where Kurapika waited. You heard his footsteps echoing against the metal of the stairs, getting softer as he went further and further up, but you still didn't move. Only when you could barely hear him on the stairs did you finally get up.
Bursting through the door, you all but scrambled to get to somewhere safe. You were a mess, your thoughts all over the place and emotions running wild, and all you could do was pray to whatever God might be listening that Kurapika would be able to dispose of that man.
In his state of zetsu, Shalnark standing behind a corner went unnoticed by you as you ran off. Had he not been listening to your conversation with Uvogin, he would have killed you right there. But instead, he smiled to himself, waiting until you were out of the way completely before entering the stairway himself and continuing to follow Uvogin as he had been all afternoon.
Kurapika didn't come back.
The late night had transformed into morning, and he didn't come back.
The immediate thought shared by the group was that he was dead, and the second one was that Uvogin was going to be coming back for the rest of you.
Basho and Melody were the ones doing best at keeping level heads and trying to keep the group calm. Just because Kurapika isn't back yet doesn't mean he's dead, Melody had told all of you. He'll be back, she assured you.
God you wished you could believe that.
It had been determined that you all should wait until Light Nostrade made it in, then he and Neon would leave with a few of the bodyguards while the rest moved to a different building to continue with the auction. At this point, bidding in an auction was one of the last things you wanted to do, but you had a bad feeling that you wouldn't be one of the lucky bodyguards that would be leaving with the Nostrades.
Uvogin's words repeated themselves in your mind, and every time his name was mentioned you couldn't help the way you shuddered. No one seemed to notice that, however.
Except Melody.
She caught you in the late afternoon when you were alone and asked what was troubling you, citing how rapidly your heart would beat when Uvogin's name was mentioned.
The emotions that you'd been trying to bottle up overflowed and you broke down, full-on crying in front of her as you told her everything. From the time with him in that room to when he'd caught you in the stairwell, you told her every little thing he had said to you, every threat he had made and just how terrified you were of him coming back to get you like he said he would.
Melody had been horrified at your confession, and for the first time in what felt like a long time, you felt genuine compassion from another human being. She held you and rubbed your back in a soothing motion as you sobbed into her.
“He won't get you, I promise,” she said, “everything will be okay. But I'll make sure that you go back with the boss tonight, alright?”
You didn't answer. You just tried your best to calm yourself, wiping away your tears while sobs still hiccuped from your throat.
“Maybe some fresh air would do you some good. Basho was complaining that there weren't any good snacks in the building. How about you run down to the store and grab some things for everyone?” Melody suggested.
“Should.. Should I really leave? Right now?” you asked.
“I'm sure it'll be fine. It's just a quick run to the store, right?”
“.... Okay.”
Grabbing a hoodie on your way out, you pulled up the hood and kept your face down, trying to hide the fact that you had been crying. It felt strange to run such an errand during a time like this, but maybe Melody was right and it would be good for you. And maybe by the time you came back, Kurapika would have returned.
With two plastic bags full of junk food and a few drinks, you had exited the convenience store at the corner, the bell on the door ringing as you stepped outside. There had been a bit of a line behind you so when you were given the change from the cashier, you had hastily thrown it into one of the bags as you were eager to keep the line moving. After leaving the store, you stepped to the side of the building, your back facing the street as you began to dig through the bag you had thrown the change into. It wasn't like it was even that much, but you didn't like the idea of just leaving it in there with everything else.
As your sole focus was on reaching around inside of that bag for the change that had made its way to the very bottom, you didn't notice the large group of people that had come up and were passing by you.
Not until you heard a familiarly deep, boisterous voice that made you freeze.
He was talking to someone, saying something about still being mad that they had followed him. A different voice responded saying that it was a good thing they had done that. There was an answer from him, but you couldn't hear it very well with the way your heart was beating in your ears.
The voices were getting further away now. You tentatively peeked out from under your hood to see if it really was who you thought it was.
Even from behind, there was no mistaking Uvogin in a crowd.
He walked with a group that you recognized some of as being the other spiders that were there with him on the night of the auction attack. Others you didn't recognize, but if they were traveling together, they must have also been part of the troupe. At the head of the group was what looked like a man in a long black coat, seemingly leading the group.
Right in the direction of the Nostrade's hotel.
You swore that your heart was beating so loud they all should have heard it and then you would have been at their mercy. But they continued walking, not paying attention to anyone else around them. Realizing that you hadn't taken a breath since you had heard Uvogin's voice, you let out a soft, shuddery breath as they walked further and further away. They were still close enough for you to see clearly when Uvogin gave a playful slap on the back to the samurai in purple robes, who stumbled forward slightly and began to curse out the taller man.
When he had pushed him forward, you noticed a small piece of folded paper that slipped out of his robes.
The group turned a corner, and only when you couldn't see any of them anymore and you could no longer hear any of their voices did you move, slowly walking forward down the sidewalk, constantly checking to make sure none of them came back as you went for that slip of paper.
Your hands were trembling as you picked it up. Why you were concerning yourself with something they had dropped you didn't know. There were more important things, like getting back to the hotel before them and warning the others, but your brain was in a horribly familiar panic-mode and you weren't thinking straight.
Unfolding the paper, you found a set of pictures – headshots of the Nostrade family bodyguards. Dalzollene's picture had been crossed out, but Basho's, Squala's and everyone else was featured.
But what truly sent you into a panic were the two pictures that had been circled in pen.
One was of Neon.
The other was you.
All you could hear for a bit was your own harsh breathing, unable to focus on anything else while you looked at that bit of paper.
He was doing as he had promised. Uvogin and those others were going back to that building and they were going to kill everyone and then take you.
The remaining time you had to warn the others was slipping away and you stood petrified as you tried to figure out what you could do.
You couldn't fight them.
None of you could. The only one capable of that was Kurapika, and if Uvogin was still walking around, then he had to be dead.
You couldn't fight them.
The paper and the convenience store bags you had been holding fell to the ground as you bolted off in the opposite direction. You ran as fast as your legs could carry you until you were out of breath and aching all over. And even then you continued running. Uvogin's words, the things he did and the way he looked at you were still fresh in your mind. You couldn't face that; you knew you wouldn't win and you just needed to do whatever you could to get away from him.
Even if it meant only saving yourself.
Your kept running, sometimes bumping into people or cars, ignoring them as they yelled at you so you could keep going.
When you were thoroughly exhausted and ready to fall over, you made it to the airport, taking a few seconds to stop and catch your breath, resting your hands on your knees as you were ready to heave out your lungs. One of the airships would have to be departing soon. Buying a ticket wasn't an option; you'd need to go with a riskier route.
You jumped the fence into the airfield and were stopped almost immediately by a security guard.
“I don't know what you're thinking,” he yelled at you, “but you'd better be ready to-”
You focused your nen and a hyacinth formed, and you blew at the petals in the direction of the guard. When the petals hit him, he stopped his rant and his gaze turned blank as he stared at you.
“Let me on to the next departing airship,” you ordered.
“Yes miss.”
He moved robotically, leading you to an airship at the end of the field. Luckily nobody else approached you two. When you controlled someone with this ability, you could only give them three simple orders, and you could only use it on only a few people during a short period of time, and you didn't want to waste any of it using the guard to keep people off your back.
When you reached the airship, you told him “go ask the stewards to meet me at the entrance. And when you're done with that, I want you to go back to your station.”
“Yes miss.”
Once your last order was completed, he would be out of your control and would have no memory of you or anything that happened.
After ordering the stewards to take you to an empty cabin and to not let anyone enter during the flight, you let them go, slumping down in the window side seat after you had locked the door. The airship was taking off, and soon you'd be away from this nightmare.
The others wouldn't, though.
The reality of the situation struck you then, that you really had just run off and left them to fend for themselves. Unless some miracle happened, they were going to die. Melody didn't deserve that. Neither did Squala. Or Basho, or any of the others working for the Nostrades. Neon was a brat and she had proven that she didn't care for you or anyone else who worked for her, but that really wasn't her fault. And even if it was, it didn't mean that she should suffer for it. Not like that.
Tears began to roll down your cheeks, and you wrapped your arms around your knees as you curled up into your seat, cursing yourself for your cowardice and for just how pathetic you were as the airship lifted you higher.
The story you read months later was that of a mystery disappearance of multiple people in the hotel owned by the Nostrades. The bodyguards and employees had all vanished, leaving behind hotel rooms filled with signs of violence, but no sort of blood or bodies in sight. The only one left was a thoroughly traumatized Neon who could barely speak and was unable to offer any explanation as to what had happened. Not even her father was able to get her to speak. Nor could he get her to use her ability, and without his daughter's fortune telling, he lost that place he had carved for himself in the mafia community and quickly fell from grace.
The articles in magazines and newspapers focused more on that aspect of the story, of the millionaire who fell from his high social standing. No one seemed to care much about the people that had vanished. Very few articles mentioned the bodyguards, and fewer still bothered to name any of them. Your name had been listed in one of those articles as one of those who were missing, but what had made you sick was reading the names of the others and knowing that they weren't missing, but that they were dead.
'This was what you chose,' you told yourself bitterly. Instead of trying to take on the troupe in an effort to save them, you ran away like a coward. Though it wasn't like anything would have changed if you had confronted them, but maybe if you had, you wouldn't need to live with the guilt of knowing that you did nothing to try and help.
You were just too weak.
The world of the hunters, that thing that you had worked towards for so long, having gone through that exam so many times and coming so close to death every time you did, was no longer something you wanted to be apart of. The dream that you had of everything being alright in your life if you could just get that license was shattered after learning about nen. Even with that treasured license, you were still so horribly insignificant in this world, and the power that you held was ultimately meaningless in the long run.
After that eye-opening experience, and after everything you had been through in Yorknew, all you wanted was to go back to a normal life.
You sold your license and made a new home for yourself on the other side of the world, far away from Yorknew and anything remotely to do with the mafia community. You lived in a humble apartment and worked a decent job while you lived life with your head facing down, staying under the radar as best you could. Just existing with yourself as best you could.
Not a day went by that you didn't think about the people you had abandoned, or the words Uvogin had said to you on the stairs. That he would find you if you ran, and that the consequences would be worse for you if you did that. Months had gone by since that day, but your anxiety didn't allow you to relax in the slightest; he had been confident in his words, and after everything you had seen, you were certain that he wouldn't give up on finding you that easily.
Time had continued, and you were coming up on almost a year since the incidents in Yorknew. Returning late to your apartment after your shift, you were struggling to keep yourself awake as you slipped the key into the front door lock. You were ready to pass out as you entered, turning as you shut the door behind yourself. Had you been a bit more alert, you might have noticed the light that was on within your apartment that shouldn't have been on, or the shadow that loomed behind you the second you turned your back to lock the door.
What you did notice were the two strong arms that wrapped around your form and pulled you against a solid chest, and the breath that tickled against your ear as a terribly familiar voice whispered to you, putting you on full alert as you realized who held you.
“Gotcha.”
And like that, your time of living in hiding came to an end.

My Alpha (Part 2) - Winchester Bros x Reader
Tumblr media
Grouping: Alpha!Sam x Omega!Reader x Alpha!Dean
Warnings: smut adjacent, public foreplay, a/b/o dynamics
A/N: It only took a year, but here. There won't be a part 3. I don't think I'm up to writing a/b/o smut yet.
***
Once you left the bunker, it didn’t take long for you to realize that you had nowhere to go. You couldn’t run back to your father though there was nothing else you’d rather do at the moment. It was the first place the brothers would look for you. Not only that but you so did not want to have the conversation you’d need to have to explain to your father what had happened and why you were back. Last he knew you were off to live your happily ever after with Sam.
All the friends you could think of to crash with were also friends with the boys. There was no guarantee anyone you contacted wouldn’t immediately call one of them. You would be hard pressed to find anyone willing to choose you over the Winchesters. No one in your world went against the alphas if they could help it.
So, you just picked a direction and started to drive. When you grew tired of trying to see the road through your tears, you pulled over at some crappy hotel. You’d curled up on the uncomfortable bed and slept for hours. Now, you were hungry and depressed so you walked to the bar next door that served greasy pub food. A plate full of chicken strips and fries later and you were on your second rum and coke. You wondered how much you’d have to drink to forget about the pang in your chest.
“Where’s your alpha, pretty little omega?” a gruff voice asked.
You didn’t even bother glancing over. “I’m not interested.”
His rested his meaty hands on the table so he could lean closer, probably used to using his size to intimidate. Also probably used to weak little omegas that it would work on. “That’s not what I asked, sweetheart.”
You sniffed the air and curled your lip at his odor. He smelled sour, like rotten milk and underneath it was the unmistakable scent of beta. Figured. Another alpha would be less likely to ignore Sam’s mark on your skin.
You ran your tongue over your teeth as you finally looked at the man towering over you. He might have been handsome had he taken five seconds for some basic grooming. As it was, you weren’t impressed. Though, it would take a lot to turn your head after the Winchesters. The thought of them was enough to make you sigh and erase the small amount of patience you still possessed. You didn’t want to deal with this asshole. You just wanted to be left alone with your alcohol.
“Look. I’ve had a bad fucking week. My alpha is none of your goddamn business. I’m asking you nicely to leave me the fuck alone.” You kept your gaze locked on his until he pushed away from the table and waved a hand at you in dismissal.
“Take it easy, honey. You aren’t that special. I’m just trying to get laid.”
You rolled your eyes and put your attention back on your glass as he walked off. It wasn’t even five minutes later that someone slid onto the bench across from you in your booth. You sighed again. “Listen, I’m really not…” Your words trailed off as you lifted your head to see your favorite pair of bright green eyes. The heady scent of your true mate flowed over you and you barely resisted the urge to just melt into a puddle where you sat. Dean gave you a crooked smile that didn’t even come close to reaching his eyes. No, he was pissed.
His tongue darted out to lick his lips. “Y/N.” That rough voice saying your name ran through you and you bit your lip as instant desire had slick leaking out of you. Your alpha’s nostrils flared and his gaze darkened making your heart race.
No. You couldn’t do this. Dean may have come after you, but you still weren’t willing to tear the brothers’ relationship apart. You tore your gaze from his to survey the bar. No sign of Sam. That didn’t mean he wasn’t waiting in the parking lot for you, but it gave you a chance to get out of here. “I can’t do this, Dean. I’m sorry.”
You slid out of the booth only to have your upper arm grasped in a large hand. Sam. He must have been standing where you couldn’t easily see him. Instead of directing you back into your seat, he steered you to the other side of the booth and pushed you in next to Dean who slid over against the wall. Sam then slid in right behind you until you were secured between the alphas.
The table top suddenly became very interesting as their eyes locked on you. “What were you thinking?” Sam finally hissed. “Do you know how dangerous it is for you to leave like that? What if something happened to you? What were we supposed to do?”
You tried to stave off the tears creeping up. Sam never yelled at you, was never angry at you before all of this. You’d made him miserable. You were a horrible omega. “I’m sorry.” Your voice cracked and you hated it. “I just…I don’t know what to do.”
Dean shifted in the seat beside you and laid his hand on your thigh. His warmth calmed you some. He ran so much hotter than you. But as much as you yearned for his touch, Sam was on the other side of you. It was his mark you wore. This wasn’t right. Before you could say anything to Dean, Sam did the same thing on the other side of you. You froze, at a complete loss as to what was going on.
“Y/N.” The elder Winchester said your name softly, a tone you weren’t used to hearing from him. You shook your head just needing a moment to process, but Dean wasn’t about to give it to you. “Look at me, Omega.”
His alpha tone called to you, made him almost impossible to ignore. It wasn’t until Sam squeezed your leg in gentle reassurance that you allowed yourself to obey his brother. Dean ran his eyes over your face and gave you that lopsided smile that you loved. He traced the side of your face with a finger and your eyes slipped closed. “I’m sorry, princess. I should have discussed the situation with Sam without putting you in the middle. I let my jealousy get the better of me.”
You’d opened your eyes halfway through his apology and now studied him with a furrowed brow. “Why are you apologizing to me, Dean? As long as you and Sam patch things up, I don’t matter.”
His gaze darted past you to look at his brother and then came back to you. His smirk widened. “Well, obviously I’m a piss poor alpha if that’s what you think, Omega, because you are the only thing that matters.”
Before you could think of arguing, Dean’s hold on your thigh tightened. He slid his hand up until his fingers pressed against the seam of your jeans. You sucked in a breath only to release a little whimper when he put more pressure against you. “De—”
Your complaints were cut off as a hand grabbed your chin to turn your head the other direction. Warm, familiar lips claimed yours and your hands moved up to hold Sam’s head to yours. Your fingers tangled in his hair as his tongue swept into your mouth. The rhythm he set perfectly matched the one his brother rubbed against your core. Your hips rocked through no conscious decision of your own.
Finally, you pulled back just far enough to take a shaky breath. Sam cupped a hand around the back of your head and pulled you forward to rest against his shoulder. “We need to get her out of here. Too many people can smell our omega,” he all but growled.
Dean’s hand moved back down your thigh as he leaned forward and nipped at your neck on the opposite side from Sam’s mark. “Can’t wait to get you home,” he said. His lips brushed your skin as he spoke and a tremor shot down your spine.
You turned your head so you could see both of your alphas and bit your lip. “I have a room next door.”
They chuckled. “Impatient?” Dean teased.
“I can wait if you can,” you answered with an arched brow.
Sam leaned down and trailed a line of kisses along the line of your neck until he reached your mark. He kissed it and you couldn’t completely contain the moan that followed the action. “What’s your room number, sweetheart?”

Distractions pt. 2
leroy jethro gibbs x reader
tw - mentions of shooting, sex, other things in a ncis episode
an - this is a part 2 to the first chapter. i might do a part three with more action between Gibbs and reader. but i already have some drabbles and a adding reader to a episode planned 🤫
Tumblr media
“So, when did you get back?” Your old friend, Elise, asked, the both of you sitting in your living room the day after your night at the bar.
You had previously went to Gibbs house and he helped you rest for a while there, both of you letting your feelings out, but you didn’t know if he thought you would remember because you were drunk when you admitted it.
“Not too long after I told that bartender I was leaving,” You replied to her. She was finally asking about you after bragging about her very sexual night with the bar owner.
“Who took you back? Did you go back with someone at the bar?” She had a teasing tone at the end, wanting to mess with you a bit and get all the details.
“No, there really wasn’t anyone at the bar. I just got a coworker to drive me back. Speaking of driving, shouldn’t that cab you ordered be here soon?” You tried to change the subject, and luckily it was perfect timing.
“Oh right!” She shot up from the couch and rushed over to where her suitcase is, forgetting about you for a moment before waddling back in the too-high, high heels. “Bye! Thanks for letting me stay,” She grabbed the suitcase and left your apartment, allowing you to finally take a breath.
But you could only breathe in the peace for so long until your phone began to rang.
“Where are you?” The stern, deeper voice said into the phone, on the other line. You recognized the background noises of other people, figuring the person was probably somewhere public, or listening to the TV loudly.
“I’m at home? Why does this matter?” You asked getting off of the couch and moving to the kitchen to go and grab a glass of water, all of a sudden feeling a little parched. Gibbs did give you some medicine this morning.
Once you woke up, on the couch... There were pills and water right by your side and he came down at the perfect timing, motioning for you to drink it. He then went to make coffee for the both of you, but once you noticed the time, you made him drive you back to your apartment.
“Do you not look at clocks?” Gibbs sneered, and you could hear him yelling someone’s name yet it sounded a little fainter, maybe he moved the phone away.
“I do. I’m fine on time, what’s your problem?”
“You’re supposed to be at work.”
“No, I told you I was coming in late, like a week ago,” You remind him, specifically remembering how you planned to drop your friend off at the airport, not knowing she was going to get someone else to drive her. But, it was no use still coming in normal time, might as well take the break.
“Well, that doesn’t matter, a petty officer was found dead and we’re supposed to go and investigate. So, get your lazy-ass up and meet us at the address Kate sent you.”
“Got it,” You hung up the phone, rolling your eyes at your bosses usual antics. You figured he probably didn’t really mean the kiss, so you locked away those feelings and got yourself ready to go and investigate.
You were able to meet Ducky and Palmer, driving the large truck, at a stop so they could pick you up. Not your first choice, but the other agents were already too far to pick you up, and Ducky was always so kind to go out of his way.
“Hello, dear Y/n,” Ducky greeted with a smile, getting out of the truck to let you slide into the middle.
“Hey, Ducky. Palmer,” You greeted, moving in. “Mind catching me up to speed with what’s going on?”
And so they did. They told you about Petty Officer Liam who was found dead, apparently gunshot to the head, in a ditch near a cross.
Once you made it onto the scene, a news reporter, police, the sheriff, and the rest of your team all swarmed around where the Petty Officer was.
“Ducky, L/n, you two finally made it,” Gibbs voiced, watching the three of you walk down the small hill to where the cross and not to far the body was.
“Palmer ended up turning to the wrong road,” Ducky responded.
“You told me the wrong street!” Palmer explained, carrying down the bag Ducky needed and some other things to soon move the body.
“Now, now, Palmer,” You sent him a little look, soon walking over to where Todd and DiNozzo was.
“How was last night little drunk,” DiNozzo greeted, putting on his last gloves and handing you a set.
“Shut up DiNozzo,” Kate commented soon turning to you. “Did you end up getting laid?”
“Lord knows Y/n needs it,” DiNozzo added, laughing after his little sentence which let Kate to punch his shoulder.
“I don’t need it. I got home fine, no need for you to know, you just ditched me. So, don’t expect me to help set you up with that girl on the same floor as me, anymore,” You finished putting on your glove and grabbed the wallet near the body.
“Holding a lot of cash?” Kate asked, moving over by you to peer over your shoulder. “Maybe he was getting mugged and it went wrong,”
“The cash is still here. So, it probably wasn’t a mugging,” You answered, then grabbing a card that was present. “But it might his death could have something to do with this bar, seems like he has a lot of used coupons and receipts to there,” You reveled, pulling them out and handing some to Kate while putting the wallet into the bag.
Ducky and Palmer continued to check out the body to figure out that the cause of death was some sort of drug and not the gunshot, it was made to look like that. They would have to take the body back to be able to know for sure, so that’s what they did.
You took some pictures with DiNozzo and Todd and soon head back to Gibbs car, taking the front seat while the other two took the back. It was normal for you to take that seat, but at this moment it seemed odd.
“When we get back I want you to contact his wife DiNozzo, L/n and Todd will do some research about the bar you two found out about it,”
When arriving back to the office you and Kate quickly got to it and found out that in order to get in you had to go in as a couple. Kate talked to some people who had formally went there and one other friend of the petty officer that died and was able to figure out that there was a more secretive area apart of the bar where certain couples were only able to go.
None of the people could specifically say what went on, but figuring that out could lead to you and the other special agents to figuring out who exactly killed the petty officer.
“Gibbs,” Kate spoke, you and her walking over. “Turns out in order to get in you need to go as a couple and then if you say a certain co word, you’ll be able to get in to the underground part of it,”
“Okay, what did you find out DiNozzo?” He turned to DiNozzo who was walking over.
“Found out some passwords to things, hoping probie can then go through and figure out what the password for getting in tonight would be,”
“Who will go undercover?”
“DiNozzo and Todd I want you to stay with Liam’s wife and children, make sure that the person who killed Liam won’t go after this family if Liam still owes him something. L/n and I will go undercover tonight while Probie will be able to patch us all four together,” Gibbs commanded.
“With DiNozzo, really,” Kate looked at him and Gibbs just sent his regular stare. “Okay, DiNozzo it is,” She walked over to the man who was talking to the ‘probie’.
“Uh, Me and Kate could just switch Gibbs,” You told him, standing oddly by his desk.
“No, you and me will go undercover, you’ve done undercover work before,” He quickly told you, standing up. “Go get ready and I’ll meet you back here. Dress up nice,”
So that’s what you did, you left to travel back to your apartment and threw on a nicer dress, still short enough to run if needed but long enough to hide a gun that would be holstered to your thigh. You did your hair, leaving it down, and a light makeup look. You figured out a fake name, Leah Molane, and Gibbs as well, Frank Hater.
When he arrived you looked at him with a small smile, trying to take in his nice outfit for the occasion, and for a moment it seemed like he was trying to do the same. The car ride was fairly silent besides going over your plan.
“Were you able to get the fake ID’s?” You asked, sitting in the passenger seat and messing with your nails a bit while Gibbs drove to the bar.
“DiNozzo knew a guy, and I refuse to ask more,” He laughed a little and handed you your fake idea from his pocket.
The two of you soon arrived to the bar, it was fairly easier than what it originally sounded like. You showed the man your ID’s and Gibbs snaked a hand around your waist, pulling you into his waist a bit more.
He was able to find a open table and helped lead the way there. While walking you took a look around, while scoping you found a lot of normal things like couples making out, dancing, drinking, yet the mirror opening up as a door and three people disappearing into it caught your eye. You made it to your seat and the two of you sat right next to each other in the booth.
“What you got McGee?” Gibbs asked into his watch, it looked like everyone was busy doing their own thing to pay attention to the older man who was speaking into his watch.
“Abby was able to find out the drug that was put into Liam’s drink that killed him. It changes the original drinks color yellow, so don’t drink anything yellow,”
“We could figure that out on our own,” Gibbs grumbled a little underneath his breath. “What else do you have? That better not be it,”
“It’s not Gibbs,” Abby now spoke. “We figured out the code to get to the downstairs area!”
“And what is it?”
The both of you could hear some arguing on the other line, which just seemed to annoy Gibbs more.
“It’s, uh,” McGee coughed. “It’s ‘sex vault’ boss, I think because its a drink name on the menu or because they have a section where couples can go and have, uh, se-”
“Enough McGee, I just needed the code,” Gibbs turned off his device allowing McGee and them to hear what he was saying. Gibbs turned to you and leaned a bit, his lips hovering over your own. “It would be good for us to kiss now, so we don’t blow our cover,”
“Makes sense,” You hummed, your eyes connecting with his own as you looked up at him.
“Just pretend it’s just us, like yesterday,” He whispered, before his lips were on yours and moving at a fast pace. It was so much more passionate than the last time.
“The two of you know this is a VIP area, right?” A woman walked over, the gum in her mouth being obnoxiously loud.
“Yeah, obviously,” Gibbs responded, moving away from your face and grabbing your hand. “We’ll take two ‘sex vaults’,” He told her and the woman went scurrying back off behind the counter.
“Boss, we found out that there is another Petty Officer that frequented that bar often. His name is Denup and he served the same time that Liam did, DiNozzo is asking Liam’s wife about him and Abby is doing some research on him,” Mcgee spoke into the device that was in yours and Gibbs ear.
“Got it,” Gibbs mumbled into the watch and soon the woman walked back over. “Find out more and be quick,”
The woman came and beckoned for the both of you to follow her to where the mirror you saw open earlier was.
“Liam’s wife said she didn’t have too much on Denup but we were able to find a type of journal Liam was keeping with tons of money, it looks like in the journal there are stats on sports,” DiNozzo spoke this time.
“Denup is also not doing too well finacially, we were able to get ahold of his wife and ask her a few questions. We learned he’s taking on some extra jobs,” Kate spoke now.
“Abby, Denup’s prints might be in the system, run them with the ones we found on the wallet,” Gibbs quiclly spoke into his watch once the woman left you both. You looked around at a few people chatting and watching the games, there was another smaller bar down here, multiple TV’s, some tables, and a pool table.
“When doing bets in settings like these, who usually takes care of handing out the money?” You asked Gibbs.
“The bartender,” He answered.
“They also said Denup was taking on extra jobs and doing bad financially. What if he is a bartender here and has been scamming people?”
“Liam found out and threatened to reveal what he was doing, which would ruin his chances of getting out of the hole,” Gibbs realized what you were saying.
“Exactly, but it seems like something is missing. If Denup was doing this on his own, how could no one else catch on? And how is he not out of the whole already. I’m going to assume there are many bets that happen down here, so where is some of that money going?”
The two of you walked up to the bar and took a seat at the two stools that were placed in front of it.
“You both thinking of making a bet?” “Not with him,” You laughed, pointing to Gibbs. “Man loses all of them, is a loser in general. But what about you, do you lose? What’s your name?”
“Just call me Denup, that’s what most of the people down here do. Now what would you like, a drink or some cash?”
“I’d like to get.a little tour of your selection back there,” You smiled, getting up from your stool and moving to walk around the corner.
“Gibbs, his prints match the wallet, but Liam’s ID has a different print itsself,” Abby revealed, once again, speaking into the device in the both of your ears. Gibbs nodded to you, giving you the confirmation to arrest the man.
Gibbs stood up and pulled out his ID. “Denup, NCIS, you’re under arrest,”
Denup grabbed your arm harshly, pulling you into his side and grabbing a knife, sticking it to your throat. “Louis!” You heard Denup yell, and watched Gibbs spin around, just in time, to watch another man reach into his pocket, grabbing a gun. Gibbs quickly shot him in his shoulder, the man dropping the gun. You used this opportunity of Denup being in shock to reach down to your thigh to grab the gun and quickly aim it at the mans toe. He dropped the knife yelling, giving you enough time to kick it away and for Gibbs to toss you a pair of handcuffs he had in his pockets.
“Just NCIS folks, please go back to your drinks,” You said to the shocked people around, you handcuffed Denup and pulled him off the ground. “I know your toe got shot or whatever, but do you think you could at leas try to walk out of here?”
You and Gibbs left the bar, informing the team you caught the suspects and the police were at the front of the bar, ready to take them into custody. Gibbs told everyone they could go home and offered to take you back since you went together.
“Successful date night I would say,” He joked once the two of you were in the car and on the rode home.
“For sure, got a kiss and arrested two murderer’s,” You laughed.
“I hope you know that just because I like kissing you I won’t soften the papers you’ll be filling out tomorrow,” He looked over to you with a calm smile playing on his lips.
“I could never,” You smiled back. “I do expect you to now be buying me a coffee though,”
“If that’s all I need to do, it doesn’t sound like the worst thing,”

Bloody Day and Ominous letters
Nesta woke up with the worst headache she had ever had in her entire life. She really should not have drunk as much as she had last night but as she saw her friends and Morrigan having fun that little voice inside her head — usually her mother’s or grandmother's saying Do better, Stop being such a disappointment or Your only purpose is to marry well so forget about love — got louder and louder, judging her company and trying to make her feel ashamed.
But she had had enough. Her grandmother and mother had both passed away already. It was time to bury them for good. So Nesta took the wine bottle from Morrigan and drank half of it in one go, her friends cheering around her. And she had so much fun. Nesta would never have guessed that drinking could be so enjoyable, nothing like those uptight parties where the ladies sipped a lonely glass all night long while the gentleman lost count of theirs. The only downside was her killing headache and the fact that she had overslept, a fact she took notice of once she glanced at the wall clock.
She had just sat up on her bed —  massaging her temple to ease the tension on her head — when an insistent knocking on her door made her mumble a curse. No doubt it was either Emerie or Gwyn — maybe both of them — waking her up. Those two were quite used to drinking, so it was no surprise to Nesta that they would be up and about very early.
“Would you two stop it?” she said loudly, opening the door wearing only her chemise, probably having ditched her dress during the night while she slept “I have a killer headache and your banging is not helping at all—”
She stopped mid sentence when she came face to face with Georgianam, the young lady’s hand still raised to knock on her door, Cassian right behind her.
“Oh, I apologise Lady Nesta” Georgiana said “We had agreed that we would go on a nice early morning walk today, but when I did not spot Miss Archeron at the breakfast table I got worried.”
“Please do forgive me, Miss Georgiana. I had a bit too much to drink yesterday and ended up oversleeping.” Nesta quickly said, mentally kicking herself for her rudeness “I will be ready for our walk in a minute.”
“Lovely! I will be waiting at the parlor then!”
Nesta closed the door with a sigh. Her morning had not begun the best.
However, it was only while she was brushing her hair that her sleep fogged mind caught up to the fact that Cassian had seen her half asleep wearing nothing but her chemise and with early morning messy bed hair.
She definitely could not be allowed to drink more than two glasses of alcohol if that was how she was going to behave whenever she drank more than deemed proper.
When she arrived at the parlor ten minutes later, she could not help but avoid looking at Cassian.
“Mrs. Potts brought you a little something to eat” Georgiana informed, pouring Nesta tea “And also some headache medicine”
“Please thank her in my instead later, she is too kind to me”
“Oh, it was all my brother’s doing” Georgiana smiled in Cassian's direction, serving herself some cookies “He was the one who asked her to provide not only the medicine but also the food.”
“I appreciate the gesture, my lord.” Nesta hid her blush behind the teacup.
“It was nothing, my lady” was all he answered, refusing to look at her.
That made Nesta’s heart strangely hurt. She could not help but think he had been disgusted by her earlier appearance. Her hair was such a mess and her chemise was all wrinkled from sleep—
Wait. Why did she care so much of what he thought of her? Nesta Archeron was not one to give much attention to others opinion of herself, so why was she getting so worked up when it came to Cassian? Of course, one could not help but notice how he always looked so presentable, with his spotless clothes, hair combed to perfection every single time. She had never seen a gentleman’s hair be so… perfect. She could bet her first edition of her favourite romance that he had awfully handsome bed hair. And that he had a mint breath even when woke up. And that he probably slept shirtless, if the last time she saw him at midnight at his library was any indication of his sleeping attire.
Oh Mother, why was she now thinking about all of that? She waved an imaginary hand to disperse her not so proper thoughts, focusing on the small talk Georgiana was making.
Both Nesta and Cassian kept avoiding each other during their walk, which did not pass by Georgiana without notice, especially given how her brother had made sure to stay two steps behind them, giving the excuse he wanted to give both ladies “privacy to talk comfortably”, something he had never done. Their walk, however, was cut short when Nesta showed signs of being tired and admitted that her headache had not disappeared.
“I assure you it is nothing to fret over” Nesta told a worried Mrs. Potts when they came back “It must be from yesterday’s drinking. There is no need to call a doctor.”
“Nonetheless, I will ask Chef Ramsay to prepare some light food and my special hangover drink” the old headmaid said with a motherly expression.
Thanking Mrs. Potts again, Nesta went to her room to splash some water on her face in hopes of refreshing herself. But a painful jab low on her stomach made her freeze and the blood drain from her face.
~•~
“Just knock on the door, my Lord” Lumière said as he watched Cassian drop his hand once again. The maître d’ had been watching his lord pace in front of the parlor door for what must have been twenty minutes.
“I do not want to bother her. Maybe I should call Mrs. Potts or wait until the other ladies come back” Cassian ran his hand through his hair in distress. Emerie and Balthazar had gone out with Morrigan to visit some possible new business partners — her big circle of connections proving itself to be very useful in helping expand their business — while Azriel and Gwyn had gone to the town, which was helding a small music festival. Georgiana, on the other hand, had received a telegram from a friend who had returned early from their trip abroad, and she had promptly gone to meet them.
“This, dear brother, is your chance to speak to Miss Nesta” she had said before leaving “I do not know what happened to make you both so distant, but you better make amends. I already asked Emerie to design the gown I shall wear at your wedding.”
Cassian had told Georgie to mind her own business and stop being such a busybody, proceeding to stand guard outside the parlor.
“Leave the lord alone” Cogsworth hissed, elbowing Lumiére “Her ladyship has not asked for help so it must mean she is fine and does not wish to be bothered.”
“Nonsense, old friend!! The lady is simply too shy to ask for it and the lord too polite to risk disturbing her” taking a step forward, Lumière knocked on the door.
“What do you think you are doing?!” the major-domo whisper yelled, and Cassian was sure he would have throttled Lumière were it not for the faint voice coming from the other side.
“Please, do come in” Nesta said.
Taking a deep breath, Cassian opened the door, leaving behind Cogsworth and Lumière, who were trying very hard not to start a duel right there.
The first thing he looked for was Nesta.
Nesta, who was rather pale and was clutching a pillow very hard against her stomach.
“Are you alright?” he asked, not knowing whether to sit beside her or just stay standing a few feet away.
“I am” she said, although the deep breath she took had him thinking it was not true “Where are Gwyn and Emerie?”
“Gwyn went to the town festival with Azriel. An Emerie went with Mor and Balthazar to meet prospective business partners.”
“Are you really alright Nesta?” he asked again “You do not seem fine at all if I may say.”
“I assure you I am perfectly fine” Nesta insisted through clenched teeth “Where is Georgiana?”
“At a friend’s house. They returned early from a trip.” Cassian said, a bit annoyed she was asking for his sister when he was right there. It was a stupid jealous feeling, and he was not even more annoyed because he felt glad they got on so well.
“Do you know when any of them will be back?”
“I am afraid I do not know” daring to approach her, Cassian sat beside her on the sofa “But I am here. If there is anything I could do…”
“There is no need to bother yourself. I truly am—”
And that was when Nesta whimpered and clutched her pillow even tighter, doubling over a little bit.
“You are definitely far from fine sweetheart” Cassian said, rubbing her back in hopes of helping her, nevermind proper etiquette.
“It is really nothing. Just—”
“Just what?”
“Lady stuff!!” Nesta finally said, her whole face heating up like a fireplace.
“Oh. Oh! I see. I— I understand” he said, also a little bit flustered “Not that I actually get it but I have also experienced pain and—”
Nesta wished the ground would open up and swallow her. She was used to getting her period, it was a monthly occurrence. Nothing out of the ordinary. However, this time it seemed her body had decided to punish her more than usual. Not only had she gotten a killer headache — made worse by her hangover —  but she was cramping very badly, and they usually were not that bad. That was why she had gone to that walk with Georgiana, even though she was getting mildly uncomfortable soon after they arrived at the garden.
Not that she did not want to miss any Cassian time.
Him going with them had been a bonus.
A surprise, but not a pleasant one.
Maybe just a bit pleasant if she was being honest. Just a tiny tiny bit.
“I will stop talking now” Cassian mumbled, interrupting not for the first time her errant thoughts.
She wanted to die. To tell Cassian — even indirectly —  that she had gotten her period was the most mortifying she had ever experienced.
“I can get Mrs. Potts for you” he tentatively said, restarting the back rubs “She can get you some tea for pain. Or a bag of warm water. You can tell her anything, do not worry.”
Nesta managed to nod her head in agreement, despite her stubborn side that refused to ask for help from the maids or other servants at Pemberley.
Cassian himself went looking for the head maid instead of just ringing for her, assuring her he would be back in less than ten minutes. And he did come back in record time with Mrs. Potts, who gave her tea and pain tonic that she assured Nesta made wonders for stopping cramps. All the while Cassian hovered over Mrs. Potts, unsure of what to do.
“Do you require anything else? Maybe another blanket?” he asked after Mrs. Potts had left. He had made sure to bring back a blanket too and had even tucked her in with extra care “Or more tea? I can ask someone to come and bring fresh hot tea”
Nesta would never have imagined Cassian to be such an overbearing mother hen. He was being extra careful around her and it annoyed her beyond reason.
“Cassian, this happens every month. Has been happening since I was thirteen, alright? Can you please stop?” she snapped.
She regretted her words as soon as she realised how rude she had been and what exactly she had said. However, he was being so overweening. As if she was made of glass or was on her deathbed.
Yet all Cassian did was crack a smile and nudge a chocolate muffin towards her. Nesta had been in such pain and so quiet he had been concerned if Mrs. Potts’ pain tonic would really work. But there she was.
There was the feisty, sharp tongued and quick-witted Nesta he knew.
There was the Nesta he fell in love with.
He barely held his tongue back and risked blutering his feelings right in front of her. Again.
“May I get you a book then? It is a good way to pass the time until your friends are back.”
“Thank you. That would be lovely” Nesta gave him a soft smile, her previous embarrassment having died down a little.
He was gone and back in a record time, and Nesta delusioned herself into thinking he had raced to the library because he did not want to leave her for too long.
“I got the book you were not able to finish last night” Cassian said, handing her Sellyn Drake’s latest romance “And I also took the liberty of getting one of my favourites too. In case you finish this one quickly.”
She thanked him again, curious as to what book was his favourite, what made her even eager to finish her current read.
Turns out Cassian was a fan of epic poems, a fact that — combined with his admission of having read Sellyn Drake’s romances — once again made Nesta view him with new eyes. She had thought he would be more of a war strategy person, all business and serious matters. Yet it seemed that Cassian had a dreamer inside of him.
“How many times have you read this book?” Nesta asked as she turned a yellowed page. The book was old, but she could see it was very loved given its good condition.
“A lot of times. It was my favourite book as a child, and I could not part with it once I moved out of my childhood home” he gave her a smile “It was also my dear companion during long expeditions. I have most of it memorized.”
“I bet you charmed every single lady during your travels with your knowledge, wooing them with beautiful words” she teased, despite the small pang of jealousy in her heart.
You refused his hand and humiliated him, she thought, you have no place to feel jealous. Cassian is a wonderful gentleman, it is expected to have women falling left and right for him, not to say him pursuing them.
“You are actually the first person apart from my family who knows that I read poetry” Cassian admitted “And I also have never met someone that made me want to declare a poem to”
Nesta did not know what to say to that. They were bordering dangerous territory, something that seemed to happen more and more frequently.
And Cassian, seated right beside her, was thinking the same thing. He had allowed himself to get closer to him again, something that yesterday he had vowed to avoid, had tried to do that morning. But to see her in pain, uncomfortable and not talking to him hurt more than those moments in which he could see a life with her. Those moments with Nesta were a double edged sword: he craved and loathed them with the same urgency.
He would kill to have even a single moment with her.
He would die if he had even a single moment with her.
Nesta made him want to be selfish.
Made him want to declare poems to her, maybe even attempt to write her one.
At the moment, he could not help but recall a certain verse of the Epic of Gilgamesh:
What could I offer
the queen of love in return, who lacks nothing at all?
Balm for the body? The food and drink of the gods?
I have nothing to give to her who lacks nothing at all.
You are the door through which the cold gets in.
You are the fire that goes out. You are the pitch
that sticks to the hands of the one who carries the bucket.
You are the house that falls down. You are the shoe
that pinches the foot of the wearer. The ill-made wall
that buckles when time has gone by. The leaky
water skin soaking the water skin carrier.
To Cassian, Nesta was the goddess of love. And he was the one who could not offer her a single thing for she lacked nothing.
“Well, I will not disturb your reading any longer” clearing his throat to break the new tense silence between them, Cassian gestured to the book in her hand “But do feel free to make comments while you read, I would very much like to hear your opinions about it.”
And she did just that. Every passage she found interesting, each line that caught her eye and interpretation she had about a certain phrase, she shared them all with Cassian. Somewhere during their conversation that awkward tension between them disappeared completely, with Cassian letting his arm rest on the back of the couch, getting closer to Nesta. And Nesta somehow ended up getting closer to him too, almost leaning on his side.
It was all very improper. Cassian staying alone with Nesta, so close to each other and acting as a married couple.
But Cassian would let himself be selfish one last time.
One last time before they had to go their separate ways.
~•~
The day would have ended perfectly were it not for the letter that Gwyn brought once she and Azriel had come back.
While Emerie, Balthazar and Mor had arrived late in the evening — with good news of new partnerships being agreed on —  Gwyn and Azriel had come back much later, just when everyone had finished dinner. Nesta had not been too worried, she trusted Azriel to take care of Gwyn and her friend was not bound by the stifling high society etiquette, but she breathed a little easier when they finally arrived.
“Oh Nesta, we passed by the inn we were staying at before and the landlady gave me a letter addressed to you. It seems she had forgotten to send it to us yesterday when our things were brought here.” Gwyn gave her the letter once they had moved to the game room “She apologised deeply for it.”
“I understand, it is a busy season for them.”
“It is a letter from Feyre” Nesta furrowed her brows in confusion as she broke the letter’ seal, which she recognized as being the one representing Feyre’ status as Duchess “She sent one barely a week ago, I wonder what could have happened.”
Nesta had guessed it would be another letter from Feyre asking about how their trip was going, if she had seen beautiful scenarios and bought any souvenir for her youngest sister. Or even a curious inquiry about what she thought of Cassian. Feyre had been quite interested to know if they got along — she had always been a busybody and matchmaker, and since marrying Rhysand had tried time and time again to nonchalantly push her to Cassin. If she ever discovered that Nesta had already been proposed by Cassian — and that she had refused his hand — chaos would befall upon Nesta.
However, as her eyes scanned the lines, Nesta’s assumptions of its contents proved to be far away from reality. She felt her blood run cold, her heart stop beating and fear. So much fear.
“Excuse me” she managed to say, getting up “I need a moment.”
“Nesta, are you alright? What did Feyre say? You are very pale” Gwyn said, her voice full of worry.
“I am fine. Just cramps” she brushed off her friend’s worries. She did not want to make the others notice that something was off with her, she did not want to alarm Gwyn..
Yet as she exited the room she failed to perceive that Cassian had been paying attention to her ever since Gwyn gave her the letter. He was always paying attention to his surroundings, especially when she was around.
He left the room a few moments after her, trying not to raise suspicion to his attitude. He did not know where she had gone — Pemberley was vast and her room was too far away for him to not have caught her faster — but something led him to the small outdoor patio just left from the small gallery he had at Pemberley.
As he got closer and closer there, he heard the sound of someone crying, which made his heart beat faster and a deep fear grow inside him.
He arrived outside to find an unimaginable scene: Nesta crying. Crying as if her heart had been ripped out of her chest.
She was a mess, her careful braided hair coming undone, as if she had ran her hands through it in desperation.
“Nesta… Nes dear, what happened? Is Feyre alright?” Cassian did not care that she most probably left the room to cry in private. He was worried, he needed to be beside her, he needed to help her somehow.
“I— Feyre she—” she was sobbing so hard she could barely breathe, let alone talk, making Cassian’s heart break in a thousand pieces.
“Shh it’s okay sweetheart. I am here Nes” he gently cupped her face, making her look at him “Take deep breaths with me.”
He took a deep breath, holding it in for three seconds before letting it go. He kept doing it until Nesta did the same, slowly calming down.
“Can you talk now? Do you want me to fetch you some water?” Cassian asked, tenderly brushing off her remaining tears.
“No, I— I can talk now” Nesta took another breath “Feyre is alright. It is Elain.”
“Elain? Is she sick? Talk to me Nes, help me understand”
Elain was the picture of the perfect lady in high society. With her numerous suitors, lovely and delicate behaviour — not to mention her singular beauty — it was hard to find someone who did not like her. Given that her hobbies — cooking and gardening — did not pose a threat to her health and well being, Cassian could not understand what would have made Nesta react so strongly. Perhaps Elain had fallen ill, something that rarely happened.
“No. She is not sick” Nesta shook her head “Cauldron, I almost wished she was sick.”
“Elain was…. Elain was kidnapped” she added, her eyes filling with tears again.
“Kidnapped? How?”
That made no sense, who would kidnap Elain? And why?
“She was going to visit Feyre. And when she didn't show up Rhysand went to search for her and—” Nesta started to cry, desperation filling her voice “They found her carriage turned over and hidden near the outskirts of the city. No sign of her at all.”
Cassian was speechless. He could only imagine how Feyre must be feeling after she got the news and hoped Rhysand was doing his everything to help find Elain.
“The coachman was killed and her lady in waiting was rushed to the hospital.” she cried even harder “This is all my fault. I should never have left her. We have no male relatives and Feyre is living too far from our childhood home. I was supposed to take care of her.”
“Nesta, it is not your fault. You could never have guessed something like this could happen.” he looked deep in her eyes, the blue in them even brighter because of her tears “Is there anything I could do to help?”
“I am afraid there isn’t, '' she whispered “I have to go back home. Try to hire an investigator, talk to Feyre and hope Elain is not disgraced by society rumors. Hope she is alive”
Cassian could only nod in agreement and wait for Nesta to recompose herself before they went back inside. Their friends were as horrified and worried about the situation as he and Nesta, and decided to go back right that moment. The staff noticed something was amiss and made sure to ready the carriage in record time.
“Thank you for welcoming you at your home” Nesta said, her complexion a bit better “I can assure you we all had a wonderful time here.”
“It was my pleasure. Have a safe travel and remember that Pemberey is open to you and your friends whenever you want to visit” Cassian helped Nesta get on her carriage one last time, letting go of her hand begrudgingly.
And as Nesta and her friends got farther and farther from Pemberley, as Nesta got farther and farther away from him and took his heart with her, Cassian felt a calm fury settle inside him.
He had some letters to write to some old friends.

A Little Time ~ KSJ [Request]

Rain was hammering down outside and the thunder was making your 8-year-old son jump every time there was a loud burst of noise or a flash of lightning. A clap of thunder sounded and Jae jumped a little, clutching onto your arms as he tried to ignore the thunderstorm, normally when it was this bad you would put on a movie for him and watch it together but tonight he just wanted to go to sleep.
"Hey, it's okay." You promised as you moved closer to him on his small bed in his bedroom, he was shivering from how cold he was so you added another blanket around him trying to bring his warmth back up. Jin was supposed to have picked him up from football practise after school but never should up, instead of ringing you at work your son walked all the way home in the storm almost getting himself sick because of it. Jin was in for it when he came in, he'd been so busy lately he wasn't making time for anybody else which you understood but leaving your son was unacceptable.
"Is dad coming home?" Jae stuttered out as he began to lay down under the thick blankets and quilt covers, you nodded at him not knowing if it was the truth or not. If Jin was too late coming home he would normally stay at the dorms or in the studio instead of coming back to his home,
"Of course, he'll be home. We have our big breakfast tomorrow," Your stomach churned at the thought of going out to breakfast, the smell of food lately made you want to vomit and nothing sounded good to you anymore but you figured you were just getting a bug and it would pass sooner or later. It was a traditional thing that you and Jin did with Jae, every 1st Saturday of the month you would go out to have breakfast in a fancy restaurant, spending time together as a family but with how busy Jin had been lately you doubted he even remembered what date it was.
"Get some sleep, you're going to need your rest." You whispered to your son, bending down to kiss his forehead softly as his eyes struggled to stay open, you could tell he was fighting the urge to sleep.
"Goodnight mum," He whispered back to you, turning onto his side as he pulled a stuffed animal closer to him, falling asleep almost instantly as you left the room trying to prepare a speech for when Jin would finally show up at him.
Tumblr media
It wouldn't have bothered you so much if Jin just simply told you that he was going to be late or busy but instead, he just went offline and ignored everyone. Shutting people out and turning them away whenever they tried to help him with something even when he was at home he was never really there. It was as if someone had placed him on auto-pilot at home and all he did was eat, sleep and repeat day in and day out.
As you walked down the stairs to go and clean up the living room the front door opened and Jin stood there, rain dripping off him and onto the floor as he shivered.
"It's a little cold," He laughed loudly but you ignored him, continuing your walk towards the living room instead of making conversation with him, there was nothing you could say to him right now that wouldn't cause a large fight with one another.
"Did you have a good day babe? I did, the boys and I went out for lunch and then we got some writing done, then we went out to dinner and you should have seen-" Jin stopped talking when you slammed the glass cabinet door where you kept photographs and baby memorabilia inside and stared at him. There was a coldness behind your eyes he couldn't read but it sent a shiver up and down his spine and he knew at that moment that he'd done something wrong.
"What did I do?" He stuttered out, taking off his shoes and making his way over to you with his arms out at the ready, he was going to hug and make it up to you no matter what it took but you pushed his arms away.
"It's what you didn't do, did you forget someone today?" Your arms folded across your chest as you looked at him, shifting your weight from one foot to the other as you waited for the penny to drop in his head.
"O-Oh shit-"
"Yeah, our son walked home and was so cold I thought he was going to turn into a human ice sculpture!" You yelled out, finally losing your temper as Jin seemed to have time to go to lunch and dinner with the boys but neglected in picking up your child from football or coming home in time for dinner with the two of you.
"God, it's like you don't even care about us...You're never here anymore," You scoffed, picking up the toys that were on the floor, cleaning up the place would help you get less angry at him for never being there anymore.
"I am too," Jin argued following you into the kitchen as you began loading the washing machine with dirty clothes,
"Really? Because I go to bed with a cold space and wake up to an empty space," You couldn't bring yourself to look at him so you focused on the washing that you were trying to do instead of what you really wanted to say to him.
"Because I'm busy, you knew this was my life when we got married, don't act so shocked now," He grumbled trying to walk away but you stood up, kicking the door to the washing machine closed.
"I knew what I was getting into, I knew you were busy but lately Jin...It's like you don't even want to be around your own son! He's been waiting for you every night hoping you would read to him," Jin began to walk away not being able to handle the truth so you followed him, no longer shouting since you didn't want to wake Jae up.
"He's been asking me when you were going to come home, when you were going to make time for him," You whispered as you both walked into your bedroom, the door shutting behind you as you stared at Jin who was calmly stripping out of his clothes and ignoring you as if he couldn't hear you. You continued to rant but he walked into the en-suite bathroom turned on the shower and ignored you once again.
"Do you even know what tomorrow is?" It was a simple question that seemed to make your heart drop when you saw a look of confusion flash across Jin's face. He'd just came out of the bathroom when you decided to remind him about the next morning's breakfast date,
"Breakfast with me and your son...Like we do once a month," You shook your head, he was unbelievable.
"It's not-" You threw the calendar onto the bed beside him to prove what date it was and his face dropped as he appeared pale, biting down on his lip he glanced up at you.
"Babe I've been busy, I forgot...It was one thing," He tried to justify it but you shook your head,
"It's not one thing...You forgot to pick our son up, you forgot our anniversary last month and you've been pushing us away from a while Jin." Your voice cracked as you tried not to cry in front of him, failing miserably as tears streamed down your cheeks that you weren't able to contain any more, you felt overemotional and just wanted this to end.
"So I missed a couple of things, it's because I'm busy." The same excuse was used over and over again and you shook your head at him, rubbing your temples as a piercing headache began to build up.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night," You grumbled at him, picking up one of the blankets from the bed and heading for the guest bedroom where most of Jae's baby items were stored.
"Babe come to bed-"
"I am in bed," You mumbled to him, shutting the door as you climbed onto the guest bed for the night, not being able to be around Jin for much longer, you just needed some space.
Tumblr media
Things didn't improve much after the fight with Jin, he was still busy with work and pushing you away but he came home more often to spend time with his son while you got on with everything you had to do around the house and at work. Throwing yourself into a busy schedule, so busy that you'd neglected to notice that you were late for your period by two months and that you were sick almost every other day and highly emotional.
"Mum?" You rolled over on the bed to see Jae walking into the room with a cup of water for you, he'd been looking after you all day since you were too sick to move.
"Hey pumpkin, what's wrong?" You questioned, sitting up as he climbed onto the bed after putting the glass of water down onto the table beside your bed.
"I called Daddy, you don't look good." You smiled weakly at the thought of Jin coming home early to you being sick but you knew he would want to know if you were ill.
"What did he say?" You questioned but right before Jae could answer the door burst open to your bedroom, Jin was standing there panting and sweating heavily.
"Uncle Jimin and Taehyung are downstairs," He spoke to Jae who dashed off the bed and sprinted down the stairs while Jin poured the contents of a black back onto the bed in front of you.
"Babe what's-" You were going to ask what everything was when you saw the pregnancy test kit sitting there with water, multivitamins and different tablets.
"You're late...You're sick...You're barely getting out of bed which is what happened when you were pregnant with Jae," All of a sudden your overprotective and kind husband was right in front of you, getting ready to take a pregnancy test with you as though the fight between you didn't happen and you were perfectly fine.
"I-I can't have another baby, we're not ready...You're too busy," You panicked as you slid off the bed, taking the tests into the bathroom as Jin followed you,
"We will make time, I'll start taking days off...You can take some off too...I promise I will never leave you behind." He whispered as he kissed your forehead, watching you as you began to get ready to take the test.
"Pregnant." You breathed out looking at the stick which was blinking a happy face at both you and Jin, you were happy but worried all at the same time but Jin was reassuring you that things were going to be different, he was going to be there more no matter what he had to do to do it.

“Be careful and don’t forget that a professional sorcerer is going to pick you up from the station,” Gojo hugged both Megumi and you. “Don’t talk to strangers and don’t waste your allowance on junk food.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Megumi pushed him away. “We’re going to ride on the train for only two hours, what’s the worst that can happen?”
“It feels like just yesterday when I met you two…” Gojo smiled, ignoring Megumi, and gave a dreamy sigh, still hugging you. “Now, you’re leaving me~”
“We’re gonna come back,” Megumi mumbled. “You know that.”
“He likes to be dramatic.” You finally broke the hug. “Do you want me to say anything to Yuuji?”
“Tell him to come back!” Gojo pouted his lips, wrapping his arms around himself. “It’s because of him that all of my students are leaving.”
“Wasn’t it you who sent him away to train with that sorcerer?” Megumi didn’t need an answer.
Gojo paused and his arms went limp, falling to his sides. “Yeah…”
“Did they leave?”
A familiar voice made you turn around. There she was, you had thought she wasn’t going to make it. With the biggest smile on your lips, you threw yourself in Nobara’s arms.
“Ahh, listen, listen, (name)! You have to bring souvenirs!” She was practically yelling in your ear and embracing you tightly. “I’m gonna miss you so bad.”
“We’re going away only for a week...” Megumi rolled his eyes.
Gojo leaned to whisper to Megumi’s ear. “They like to be dramatic.”
A loud whistle tore the chatter of the crowd in the train station.
It was time.
While Megumi took your bag from the ground and threw it over his shoulder to give you a little longer time to embrace Nobara, the two of you were giggling over something he couldn’t hear.
Another whistle came, only then you managed to let go of your friend to follow Megumi to get on the train. You stood in front of the closing doors to wave at your teacher and friend.
They waved back, Nobara blew you a kiss and it made you giggle.
Megumi lazily waved at the two through the door’s glass window as the loud whistle once again was heard. The train started rolling forward.
You couldn’t tear your eyes away from the two until Megumi pulled you toward a seat.
“This is exciting,” you smiled. “I wonder what kind of place Yuuji is staying at.”
“Yeah.”
“Yes to what?” you chuckled. “Is it exciting or-”
“It’s exciting,” Megumi said firmly. “I’m also curious about what the place is like.”
~~~
“Sometimes I wonder if that guy has a brain,” Megumi huffed and put his hand on his hip in annoyance. “I’ve never seen this professional sorcerer before so how did he think we were going to recognize him somehow?”
You agreed with a small chuckle but it turned into a gasp. Your eyes landed on a familiar spiky pink hair. A smile tugged at your lips as you dropped your bags to run forward.
“(name)-?” Megumi stood there in shock as you ran towards the man who was waiting with open arms.
“Yuuji!” You jumped into his arms and as soon as Yuuji caught you, he spun around laughing.
“I missed you!”
Yuuji let you down and held your hand instead as you walked over to Megumi.
He was frowning while Yuuji grabbed all of your bags to carry them himself.
“The sorcerer training me is out of town today. He’ll be back in two days. He told me to come and get you two to his house,” Yuuji simply explained. “How ya been doing?”
“Fine,” you said.
“Terrible,” Megumi groaned.
“Good,” Yuuji snickered.
~~~
A professional sorcerer’s house was more cramped than you thought it would be. Megumi and Yuuji had to share a futon together and sleep in the same room as you.
“You lived like this for a month already?” Megumi grimaced at the messy room.
Yuuji proudly smiled. “What? You can’t handle not sleeping in your own giant private room?”
“Don’t fight on our first day together!” You yelled from the kitchen.
Yuuji entered the room and leaned on the counter, watching you quietly.
You didn’t look up at him since you were cooking but he was oddly quiet. Finally, you asked what he wanted.
“I missed you.”
~~~
The village Yuuji was staying at was located very close to the mountains.
You were checking the map, “Our trail is starting here.” You pointed at the map on the ground, circling the small green spot with a red marker. “That’s our exact position,” you muttered. “We’ll go up to the mountain until this part.” You marked another spot on the map which was very far away from the current position, then slowly tapped the marker on the destination.
You gave a contented sigh, the cool air of the summer breeze was creeping on all of you as you folded the map and looked up, “Any questions?”
“No.” Yuuji jumped on his spot, “Let’s get going.”
You were the only one without a large backpack but you were carrying the necessity bag and the firewood was given into your care. It was all pretty heavy but it wasn’t anything you couldn’t handle.
Yuuji was leading the way, while Megumi was at the end making sure that nobody fell behind, which only meant you, since only you weren’t able to keep up with the others’ pace. You were right on one thing, hiking was very difficult and tiring. You were already drenched in sweat and it had been only half an hour. You took a deep breath while trying to walk up the trail, avoiding all the rocks and weird-looking plants.
Yuuji found a nice opening to take a break and eat lunch. The moment he put his backpack down he could see the two of you cheer with exhaustion, he laughed. “We’re going to eat lunch, we’re not there yet.”
Huffing, you sat on a big rock while Yuuji was taking out the lunch from the basket. Megumi handed water bottles to each of you. You took one and drank the whole bottle in one go, wiping your sweat to the ends of your shirt while lifting it, omitting the way Megumi was blushing.
~~~
“We made it!” you cheered.
The large clearing you arrived at was covered by tall trees and there were large rocks laid in a circle in the middle of the clearing. Yuuji claimed that it was from when he came here with his friends from the village before. It was simply a really popular camping spot but Megumi wasn't sure if he only eaned to bring you all here because there was a fire pit ready or for another reason. The plan was to have a nice hike and a picnic before returning back, you weren't going to camp here.
“You should check the view from that cliff.” Yuuji pointed towards the north with a smile. “It’s gorgeous, I’ve never seen anything like its view, it’s enough to make anyone tear up!”
“Where?” you asked, handing him a bottle of water.
“It’s like ten minutes that way.” He pointed north again. “I’m pointing at it, can’t you see?”
“Well, I thought you were going to give us the exact directions if it was located somewhere tricky and-” Megumi was walking inside the forest slowly without saying anything, “Wait, Fushiguro!” you yelled at him for not waiting and dropped your bags next to Yuuji.
He stopped walking, you caught up to him and you walked deeper into the forest together.
It was dead quiet. If it wasn’t for the shaking of the trees and the sounds of the cicadas, you would feel uncomfortable. Megumi liked the silence, it was peaceful.
Only a couple of minutes of walking later, you realized, the view from the cliff was breathtaking.
“I’ve never seen anything like this before.” You couldn’t hide the excitement in your voice. The sunlight made everything look like a painting, the colors of the trees and grass were an impossible bright orange.
Megumi nodded in agreement. “It was worth the walk.”
“Right? I thought he was overexaggerating but it’s actually prettier!” you gave a light chuckle. “I’m glad we got to see it together.”
“Yeah.” His gaze hesitantly dropped to your hand. A million thoughts went through his mind and he wanted to reach for you, taking your hand in his and holding it tightly. He wondered what you would do, you would just laugh and let him hold your hand as if it was no big deal.
To you it didn’t mean anything to be with him at this moment, enjoying the view and standing beside him. But to Megumi, it was heavenly yet not enough. He wanted to enjoy more time together or even spend years together. He knew once both of you graduated, you would go different ways but he desperately needed to stay with you.
He knew his life wouldn’t be the same without you in it.
“Fushiguro,” you said, voice quiet and soft. “I think I have someone I like.”
His body jolted, gaze lifting up to your face. You were blushing faintly.
“Who?” His voice was faint, not very like him. Clearing his throat, he asked again. “Who?”
You put your hands on your cheeks and closed your eyes with a grin. “Ahh, it’s so embarrassing.”
From the way you were blushing, he knew who it was.
I like you too.
He wanted to say it out loud. Megumi started blushing as well when he opened his mouth. “I-”
“It’s Yuuji!”
Why?
Megumi’s eyes widened, the view he had thought to be gorgeous was turning into a glimpse of hell and your lovely expression on your face nearly made him retch.
Why?
“That’s why Nobara wanted me to come here with you, she keeps telling me to say something but I’m just soooo embarrassed! I mean, I wanna be with him before that happens.”
Why him?
Your words didn’t reach him anymore, even if they did, he couldn’t register what they meant. Each word was something he couldn’t comprehend when put together, it felt like he was going insane.
Why him but not me?
As long as he treasured this time you had together, to him it would be enough. He didn’t have to be with you forever. He was fine just being friends.
Right?
“I’m gonna confess to him, Nobara thinks he likes me and-”
“Don’t.” Megumi turned to face you completely, his head was dizzy.
“Why not?” You were smiling, oh how cute. Knowing why you were smiling like this made his throat clench. “Don’t you think he likes me?”
“No,” he firmly responded. Your smile faltered, lips pressing together in worry. He had to do it. He had to do something. He was desperate to do something. “He likes Kugisaki.”
I love you more than he ever could.
“Oh,” you said, gaze dropping to the ground. “I… I never noticed.”
“I know it because he told me. You shouldn’t get in between him and her.” His tone was colder than ice. He realized how badly his hands were shaking and quickly put them in his pockets to hide them from your view.
“I see,” you whispered. Perhaps, your best friend liked him too. It would be cruel to prevent them from getting together. Yes. Although it hurt, you were fine. Fine.
Your vision blurred with tears.
Ah.
Hastily, you wiped your tears and turned to look at the view one more time. Although your tears didn’t stop, Megumi didn’t want to say anything since he was fighting with his own demons but he couldn’t stand watching you cry.
“(name)?” You didn’t respond, so he took a step closer to you. “Hey,” he tried calling for you again and this time you flinched. You wiped your tears away with your forearms before turning to face him.
“I’m fine.” You beamed up at him despite how red your eyes were.
His eyes fixated on the ground in front of him. He was troubled, unable to look you in the face. “It’s not the end of the world.” His voice was calm.
“It still hurts.”
“I’m sorry.”
“It’s not your fault, Fushiguro.”
Yuuji was placing big smooth rocks around the fireplace that was already lit when the two of you returned. He smiled at you, “Took you two long enough.”
“Yeah, it was prettier than I thought.” You took a blanket out from one of the bags and spread it on the ground.
“You’re okay?” Yuuji asked, raising a brow. “Your eyes are red.”
Nodding, you brushed it off with a lie, “The view made me tear up.”
He laughed and patted on your back. “Told you!”
~~~
“Todo was very interested in (name) today, huh?” Yuuji said as they were walking to their dorm.
Megumi hummed.
“I mean, she’s kinda cute, I’m not sure.” He laughed and then stopped in front of his friend, blocking the way. “Actually, scratch that, she’s very cute.”
A disgusted expression settled on Megumi’s face but he shook it off instantly.
“What do you think of her?”
“She’s my friend.” Megumi sounded… conflicted.
“What’s with the pause?” Yuuji chuckled.
Megumi was trying to walk around him to get to his room so he could avoid this pointless conversation altogether but Yuuji was barely giving him any space to move around the hallway.
“I think I like her,” Yuuji stepped in front of him once again as he had just managed to walk past him, “(name) is pretty and I like her.”
“Do you like her only because she’s pretty?” Megumi’s anger was starting to turn towards his friend even though he wasn’t the reason for his anger. “What do you like about her exactly?”
For a while, Yuuji couldn’t speak. His brows furrowed in anger because he didn’t know what to say.
“I think we both know the truth now.” Megumi looked down at Yuuji, sending him a warning glare.
The color drained from Yuuji’s face but he tried not to show his shock on his face.
They glared at each other for a moment before Megumi let out a sigh. “But, you know what Itadori?” He didn’t wait for an answer. “I believe she deserves someone better than you.” He walked past his friend and into his room, leaving Yuuji behind, alone with his thoughts.
As soon as he closed the door, he collapsed on the floor with his hands covering his ears.
This wasn’t supposed to happen.
Why? Why? WHY?
~~~
Neither of you confessed to each other in the passing years.
Megumi made sure of it.
~~~
“Ahh, I’m jealous! You two already kissed?” Yuuji kept whining, hitting his head on the table. “What was it like? Did she squirm a lot? What did she taste like?”
Inumaki flushed red and shook his head, refusing to give him an answer.
“I never thought Inumaki would be the first one between all of us to get a girlfriend,” Panda commented, taking a bite from one of the small rice cakes before he mumbled under his breath. "Especially her."
“You talk as if you were gonna get one,” Yuuji responded.
“That hurt!” Panda held his chest, pretending to be in pain.
“To be honest, I always thought Fushiguro would be first.”
It became silent when Yuuji said that. Everyone was staring at him now.
“What?”
“You’re single, right?” Panda asked.
Megumi rolled his eyes. “Why are you asking?”
“You guys are next to graduate, Fushiguro! Find yourself a girl before sorcerer work starts building up!” Panda let out a noise closer to a groan and turned to Yuuji. “What about you?”
“Unfortunately, I’m single!”
“No, not that! Do you have anyone you like?” For some reason, they were yelling at each other now.
But that wasn’t the yelling that made Megumi almost drop his glass, it was the question.
No.
Don’t answer.
They will encourage you.
Unaware of all the things running through Megumi’s head, Yuuji’s cheeks blushed. “I... do.”
Panda grinned, “Who is it?”
Shut up.
Don’t say it.
Megumi watched Yuuji’s lips move in terror as he said a name he was familiar with. “Jennifer Lawrence.”
Letting out a breath he didn’t know he was holding, the tension on Megumi’s shoulders eased while everyone else was laughing.
He had to make a move before it was too late.
~~~
When they started running out of necessities in the dorms, it was usually two of the seniors who went to restock them. Since you were all seniors now, it had become your duty which none of you looked forward to.
“We’ll just play rock paper scissors,” Nobara said. “It’ll be fair.”
Yuuji frowned, “I haven’t won a single time playing this.”
“Well, that means Fushiguro will have his Saturday free, unlike you, Yuuji.” You cracked your fingers. “I won’t lose, I need to catch up with my show today.”
“Let’s get this over with,” Megumi sighed.
“I always go with rock,” Nobara said with a grin. You were smarter than to fall for her trick, you knew she was going for a scissor, you were going to pick rock!
All four of you stood together and shouted rock paper scissors in unison. Except for Megumi.
The result was as expected.
While Nobara and Yuuji had gone with paper, both you and Megumi had gone for rock.
Nobara yelled in excitement and turned to Yuuji, the two high-fived and cheered as you stared at your hand.
“I can’t believe it worked!” Yuuji laughed.
“Fushiguro is a lot dumber than I thought! He actually fell for it!”
“I didn’t fall for anything. I always pick rock first.” Megumi noticed how distraught you looked over losing and slapped your fist that was still hovering in the air, “Come on, let’s go before it’s too late. We can come back early if we hurry.”
You nodded reluctantly and then pointed at Nobara threateningly. “Don’t watch the show without me.”
“Yeah, yeah,” she brushed it off with a wave of her hand.
Megumi realized the two of you were going to keep on bickering, decidedly, he put a hand on your shoulder to lead you out of the common room of the dorm.
After getting ready, you met up outside the campus. While you wanted to take the bus because it would be less crowded, Megumi insisted on taking the subway train which would be a lot faster despite being extremely crowded on the weekends.
In the end, you relented without knowing his true intentions.
The train was packed, even more than normal. Only then you remembered about Takada-chan’s concert downtown. Ugh, this was truly the worst. There wasn’t any place to hold onto and you were squished against Megumi’s body to the point of his phone in his pants poking your thigh.
The sudden turn of the train made you lose your balance and you held onto your friend. “Sorry,” you mumbled.
“It’s fine,” he said, not looking at you. “Hold onto me and stay close, otherwise you might disturb someone.”
Since he was tall enough to hold onto one of the bars above your head, he was able to hold his balance but somehow his body still managed to move against yours.
“Okay,” you murmured, gripping to his jacket and moving closer to him. “How long left?” You didn’t have the courage to complain about his phone poking you against your thigh but if you moved a little to your left, you could avoid it.
“Five minutes or less.” His voice broke into a sigh when you moved against what you thought was his phone. He was glad you moved away, now, you wouldn’t be able to notice the damp spot.
Getting off the train, Megumi quickly excused himself to go to the restroom. Taking the opportunity, you took out your phone to check out the list you had to buy one more time.
You were buying the necessities for yourself and Nobara while Megumi was going to buy the things the boys needed. It was a rule that helped both parties, boys didn’t know the difference between adult diapers and menstrual pads at the same time girls didn’t understand why boys couldn’t use fragranced hand lotions.
In the bathroom stall, Megumi wiped the inside of his pants and underwear as much as he could but the stickiness was there to stay. He put a paper towel perfectly lined up between his skin and the sticky fabric to spare himself from the discomfort. He had made a good choice to wear black pants today.
“Come on,” you whined as soon as he left the restroom and grabbed his arm. “We have to hurry to the mall.”
“Mall? I thought we were going to the store around the corner.”
“Nobara wants us to buy her skincare.” You showed him the text you had gotten from her and started pulling him towards the exit. “It’ll be fun anyway.”
Megumi let you drag him wherever you wanted, only focusing on how warm your touch was.
The loud chatter of the crowd, bright colors, children laughing, warm weather, and the smell of the delicious food.
“This sure takes me back.” You smiled brightly. “Malls are exciting. It’s like being a kid again.”
Although it was still a little early there were already quite a number of people in the mall.
“It’s too crowded,” Megumi pointed out.
“It’s because of Takada-chan’s concert downtown,” you said, with a quirky tone as you exited the drugstore. “I bet Todo’s there.” There was a pause before you beamed up at him. “Let’s go watch it together, they’re probably still selling tickets!”
He averted his gaze to hide his blushing face from you. “Didn’t you wanna go back to watch your show?”
You hummed. “Well, if we split up and bought everything we needed and met up back here… If we still had time, we could watch the end of her show!”
Megumi wasn’t a fan of that said idol but he was a fan of the two of you being pressed against in a small room as you jumped excitedly, perhaps you would even dance, moving your hips, and then he could get better friction than on the train and maybe-
“Hey!” You were snapping a finger in front of his face repeatedly, “What do you say?”
“O-okay?”
“Perfect!” You checked the time on your phone and looked around. “I already bought Nobara’s skincare so I don’t have much left to buy. I’ll meet you here.”
He didn’t even get to say something before you walked away. Thankfully, his list wasn’t as complicated as yours, it took him less than twenty minutes to buy everything and even had time to try out some of the samples being given out.
While he was looking down from the third floor, he could see you run from store to store, gathering all of the not-so-necessary stuff. His lips curled up to a smile and his phone buzzed.
It was a text from Yuuji, telling him to buy a new charger for his phone that he was going to pay for later.
Megumi lied and told him that there weren’t any phone chargers in the store.
Yuuji’s reply made his brows furrow.
[New Message]
Itadori: (name) called me n said u were in the mall dont lieeeeee to meeee  ):<  btw the concert is canceled cuz of heavy rain so i cant come sorry ); anywayy u should hurry home and buy an umbrella!!
So, you didn’t actually want to go and see the concert together with Megumi. Other than that… you called Yuuji… Why? You never called Megumi, you didn’t even text him.
His hands started shaking as the thought of you still being in love with Yuuji dawned on him.
He had been doing everything and anything to keep you guys away from each other. Purposely losing to be with you, making sure Yuuji was busy on the weekends so you could only spend time with Nobara.
What if you started going out with him?
What if you were already going out with him?
Megumi returned to the meeting point, you were already waiting for him. He tried to listen to your complaints about how Nobara was constantly adding new stuff to the list and how it took longer for you to buy everything or how heavy your backpack was but his mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. It was hard for him to hold a conversation when he was unable to comprehend why you were acting the way you were.
In front of the place Takada-chan was supposed to do her show, it was crowded but something was off.
“Why are people leaving already?”
With your remark, he noticed the majority of people walking back the path that was leading to the exit.
After a sigh, he spoke. “It’s canceled. Apparently, there’s a risk of heavy rain.”
“The weather reports never mentioned that,” you pouted and paused momentarily. “Wait… you knew about it?”
“There,” Megumi let out a deep breath, pointing at a sign saying that the place was closed due to the weather.
“Oh.” You looked away from him, mumbling an apology.
“We should hurry up to the station, it looks like it’s going to rain soon.” Megumi turned to you. “Come on.”
The two of you started walking back to the station but as crowded as the station was there was no way you could hop on any of the trains leaving right now. So, you took the bus with the disadvantage of having to walk to the campus once you got off.
“It’s gonna rain,” you whined, stopping to walk.
“Don’t fall back,” Megumi said, offering you a hand. “We’ll walk through the park, it’s a shortcut.”
You took his hand and continued walking in stifling silence until a peal of thunder was heard, loud and long.
Your grip on his hand tightened.
The downpour came after the loud noise almost instantly, it was heavy and rapid.
Megumi cursed and you both started running towards a tree. You still had a long way to go but the large tree would be a perfect shelter from the heavy rain thanks to its size.
By the time you arrived under the tree, both of your clothes were soaked by the rain.
“It’s cold,” you whined and wrapped your arms around yourself. “A sudden downpour is just too much!”
“They say the weather during spring changes rapidly.” Megumi took his jacket off. “This is a problem. I hadn’t brought any rain gear.”
“Nobody did!” you laughed, “The weather report never mentioned once about it raining today!”
He didn’t say anything and turned around on his heels. “Now, what?” He was talking to himself. “We should call someone to get us.” Megumi turned around to look at you. He paused, you were soaking wet. Your clothes were sticking to your skin and your hair was messy.
What’s with that appearance?
“I’m going to call Kugisaki and tell her where we are. She can come here with umbrellas so we can leave.” Megumi turned back around and patted on his jacket’s pockets to find his phone. Once he found it, he called her.
Kugisaki said she would be there as soon as she could but Megumi knew it would take a minimum of half an hour for her to even step out of the campus. That’s why he chose to call her.
“What did she say?” you asked when he hung up.
“She’ll be here but it might take a while.”
You sneezed, rubbing your nose gently. “We’re both going to catch a cold by the time she comes to get us. You should’ve called Yuuji.”
“You can’t even stop talking about him when you’re with me." His eyes widened after he said it, he had apparently said it unbidden.
“What?”
“Nothing.” He tried to move around you but stopped when you quickly laid a hand against his chest.
He couldn’t help shuddering at the contact. He had been trying to hold back all day but now that he had you here, alone with him. All he wanted to do was to press you against the tree, get in between your legs and-
“Are you alright, Megumi?” You looked concerned, completely unaware of his thoughts.
“I’m,” he started, trying to make his tone rational, serious. Stoic, like normal, as always. “I’m f-fine.”
He failed.
You frowned. “Are you sure?” Your hand pressed a little harder on his chest. “Your heart is beating really fast.”
Megumi pinched his eyes shut, taking a slow breath through his mouth. He was focusing on his own control. “Being stuck together like this… I can’t help being conscious of it.” His face was red as he admitted this. “I can’t really keep myself from focusing on you.”
“T-that’s kinda weird to say to a friend.” You took your trembling hand away from his chest, unable to say anything else.
He took a deep breath in and out before speaking. “I don’t see you as a friend.” His voice was devoid of any emotion. He was silent for a while, thinking. His eyes were serious, gazing down at you with desperation. “You’re beautiful,” he finally said. “I’ve liked you since we first met.”
“I… I like someone else, you know that… Fushiguro.”
He will die sooner or later.
He wanted to say it but resisted the urge.
“He doesn’t like you,” he said, his voice threatening to break. “Am I not good enough?”
You froze, seeing Megumi this vulnerable in front of you was too much. He wasn’t like this, he didn’t let his guard down in front of anyone. Yet-
“I just… I know we aren’t meant to be but I like him. It’s hard to give up on the one you like.”
“What about me?” he asked, “What about my feelings?”
At that moment, you got a glimpse of how much Megumi was hurting. Hurting and hurting. You had been acting selfishly, you had even told him your feelings about Yuuji all those years ago. If it weren’t for his warning, you would’ve been in his place right now. Being rejected by the person you liked.
Yuuji would have been gentler, he would have used all the words he knew that wouldn’t hurt you as he told you how he liked Nobara.
You weren’t all that considerate. This was all your fault.
“I-I will try to give up on him and give you an answer.”
“You need to be honest with yourself. How much more time do you need until you realize that he’ll never love you like me?”
His willpower and composure vanished. Everything that was holding him back, whether it be his thoughts or the consequences that might come after he acted without thinking was pushed back to the furthest back on his mind.
All he could think about was you.
“W-wait.”
“I can’t wait any longer.”
You watched him get closer to your face but didn’t move away from shock. Immediately, you closed your eyes shut. Although you couldn’t see him kissing you, the pressure of his lips was more than enough to let you know. Your pulse went berserk as his rough lips pressed against yours, eager and hard. He was firm, a little too forceful.
He placed his hands on your waist, feeling you up while his tongue pressed into your mouth, frenziedly trying to savor your taste.
A sound closer to a moan escaped you when he bit down on your bottom lip before leaning down and kissing your neck, forcing another lewd sound to leave your soft lips. He took a second to press a light kiss against your neck and pressed his hips against you experimentally. Slowly, just testing the waters, he grinded himself against you more firmly and let out a ragged sigh. Though he had already been hard, you felt him growing harder by the second.
“(name),” he whispered, full of passion. “Say my name.”
“Fushiguro-”
“Megumi,” he corrected. His skin was burning up and it felt like he was under direct sunlight, which given the weather, might have been far off. “Say my name.”
“Megumi.”
He pressed his forehead against yours. You were his and nobody else could touch you. He had to make sure of it.
“I like you,” Megumi uttered, he let out a soft sigh, letting his hand reach up to touch your face. He wanted to feel your skin, how soft it was but he stopped himself mid-way when he realized you had been crying.
Ah, so this was a failure.
He should have waited.
However before he could get any more anxious over anything, you got on your tiptoes and then your lips pressed against his.
You tasted sweet, your lips were soft and welcoming, urging him to do whatever he wanted to you, giving him your answer regarding his feelings.
His lips moved slowly against yours and his hands settled, hesitantly on your hips again.
A soft, wanton noise escaped you.
Megumi tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear with his shaking hand as your lips danced in harmony and he tugged you closer. He couldn’t stop himself from pulling you closer and closer. You pressed your chest flush onto him, wrapping your arms around his neck.
He could smell your sweet scent, that scent he had been dying to know what it smelled like in person rather than your dirty laundry. He grinded into you frantically, making you moan into his mouth and allow him to snake his tongue further down your throat.
Your hips bucked against him, you were lost in lust to care about being in public. His eyes widened as another moan forced its way out of your throat. You tugged at his hair, pulling him closer to yourself desperately.
His face was flushed completely red as you kept letting out cute, sweet noises for him. He had to give himself a minute longer, cherishing the moment before withdrawing himself, unable to stop the grin that crawled up his face while a long strand of drool dripped from his lips and another small strand of drool connecting your lips together broke apart.
A soft gasp emerged from your lips as you looked at him dreamily. You were both blushing furiously, lips completely swollen and wet from the kiss and you couldn’t stop smiling at each other.
“You’re finally mine.” He pressed his forehead against yours, his hand on your cheek rubbed circles on the skin with his thumb. You stayed quiet, letting your arms around him stay there as both of you cherished the small moment of silence together.
“Ahem.”
Both of your smiles disappeared and the two of you let go of each other as if you were burned.
There stood Yuuji, holding his umbrella and another spare umbrella. “Kugisaki told me to bring you an umbrella,” His cheeks were flushed bright red because of embarrassment. “I didn’t want to interfere with you two.”
“Itadori!” Megumi took a step forward, his tone was frustrated. “This!-” He stopped, what was this? What was he going to say? Yuuji had most certainly seen you kiss or maybe more. Megumi had no idea of how long his friend stood there and watched you for.
“Even you should be able to fool around with a girl, Fushiguro!” Yuuji forced a laugh and glanced at you. “Are you two, well… going out?”
You glanced at Megumi, he was already looking at you.
His words from earlier came back to your mind. You had to move on, this was for the best.
“Kinda,” you answered.
“Oh, that explains a lot.” Yuuji’s stare found Megumi but then he quickly looked away.
There was a moment of silence.
“Could we just go home now?” you asked, realizing nobody was going to move unless you said something.
“That’s why I am here,” Yuuji beckoned the two of you to follow him.
You followed him to the campus. The two of you shared an umbrella together in silence and once you arrived at the entrance, Megumi hesitantly grabbed your hand, intertwining his fingers with yours.
“I’ll make you happy.”
It was a promise.
~~~
Passing days were normal, nothing out of ordinary.
You started dating Megumi and forgot about Yuuji.
“Short hair would look better on you,” Yuuji said, overhearing your conversation with Nobara.
“Nooo, her hair is fine as it is!” Nobara argued, walking over to the couch to hit Yuuji’s head. “You just like girls with short hair.”
While the two argued about it, Megumi slowly lifted his gaze up from the book he was reading to watch you blush.
~~~
“Don’t do that,” you whispered, trying to hold back your moan. “Nobara will hear.”
“It makes you feel good.” Megumi pushed his fingers inside your slick heat, lips pressing on your clit, “She knows we’re dating.”
“I-it’s embarrassing,” you stuttered.
“Is it embarrassing to date me?” He pulled back his lips but continued scissoring his fingers in and out of you.
“Noo,” you stretched the word out, biting back a moan. “Y-you know what I mean.”
“Hmm?” He lolled his tongue out and licked between your folds slow enough to make you squirm.
Your hands went to grab his hair out of instinct, trying to pull him back from your pussy. “M-Megumi, please… It’s embarrassing if she hears me do that sorta noise...”
Your words didn’t match your tone. He ignored your empty pleads and lapped at your cunt, his hands pressing on your inner thighs to keep them in place.
Instantly, you arched your back. Megumi’s tongue was hot against your sensitive pussy. It was nothing like when you touched yourself, it made your toes curl in pleasure no matter what he did.
His lips curled up into a smile when a moan escaped you, it was loud enough for Nobara in the next room to hear. He knew she wouldn’t stay quiet about it, running her mouth and telling Yuuji about how loud you were last night.
He sucked on your clit, drawing small circles over the delicate nub with his tongue and using the entire strength of his arm to fuck you with his digits. Your legs shook as your thighs pressed on between each side of his head, you were pulling his hair and moaning but Megumi didn’t stop until the pleasure building in your gut spread and took over all of your senses.
When your high came, it was euphoric, left you panting and exhausted.
Megumi threw himself next to you on your bed, one hand wrapped around his cock, “Turn to your side,” he whispered. Complying, you sluggishly turned to your side, your back against his chest.
Using his hand, he lifted your leg and guided his cock between your thighs. He let your leg fall back to instead use the same hand to cup your naked breast. “Press your thighs together.”
You followed his instructions with a hum. As soon as he felt the supple flesh of your thighs around his cock, he started moving his hips. Although he would have wanted to be inside you right now, he had time. He wanted to take all of your firsts one by one like collecting stamps and make sure to treasure each single first.
His lips pressed against your neck, he groaned softly as he came between your thighs. Turning around, you kissed him sloppily before burying your face on his neck.
It took him a while to catch his breath, he carded his fingers through your hair. “I like it like this.” He pressed a kiss against your hair.
~~~
The next day, Megumi was in the common room with Yuuji when you came back from hanging out with Nobara downtown.
He heard you mumbling and your girlfriend angrily scolding you through the halls.
“It’s definitely lipstick,” Yuuji said.
“Last time was lipstick, it’s probably because they bought the same dress or something.” Megumi shook his head with a faint smile on his lips, he was looking forward to listening to you complain about your day as you cuddled on his bed as usual.
“Wanna bet over it?” Yuuji smirked. “The loser has to clean the toilets.”
“It’s gonna be you.”
“I took my eyes off of you for one second!” Nobara was laughing but her tone was still upset as she entered the common room. “I can’t believe you!”
The boys were waiting for the reveal if it was a lipstick or a clothing item you two were fighting over but as soon as you walked in, they realized it was none of them.
“I think it looks good,” you mumbled, hesitantly moving your hand up to feel your haircut. “It was time for a change.”
The smile Megumi had on his face dropped, his eyes were on Yuuji who was smiling. “I think it looks gorgeous,” he complimented. It was a fairly innocent compliment but Megumi thought of it as something else.
“Thanks,” you said, cheeks blushing slightly. You walked over to your boyfriend, twirling around excitedly, “What do you think?”
“It’s shorter.” Megumi couldn’t find the words to describe how jealous he was but he made sure to not show it on his face. “Cute.”
“Aww, thank you!” You leaned and took his hand, pulling him up to his feet. “Now, help me carry the stuff I bought back to my room.”
You dragged him to the entrance hall, omitting the way he was frowning. He grabbed your shopping bags and followed you into your room without saying anything.
“I bought you something as well, it’s an early graduation gift!” You crouched next to the bags as soon as he put them down to look for his present. “I heard you’re going to have an internship in Kyoto and I also applied there so we can go there together.”
“Why did you cut your hair?”
Your shoulders tensed. “What?”
“Are you still in love with him?” Megumi’s tone was upset, he couldn’t hide it. “Is that it?”
Standing up, you turned to face him. “It’s just hair… I wanted to cut it so I did.”
“Don’t lie to me.”
“I’m not lying, Megumi. I don’t like him anymore. You’re making a big-”
He pushed you towards your bed, your body slammed against the soft sheets and a surprised yelp left your lips but Megumi’s lips stifled the sound. He was being too rough, his lips were moving as if to devour you whole but it didn’t stop you from wrapping your arms around his neck and kissing him back.
His hand went to pull down his sweatpants. Ahh, sweatpants, the great invention of mankind, saving him from the hassle of unbuckling a belt and undoing the zipper to free his aching cock.
“Wait,” you said into the kiss but he shut you up with his lips, his free hand going under your skirt to pull your panties to the side. Using the same hand, he grabbed the back of your knee to make room for himself between your legs.
Megumi broke the kiss slowly so he could gaze down at you. “You’re mine.”
Wanting to assure him, you nodded rapidly.
“Mine.”
“Yours.”
“You’re in love with me.” He positioned himself between your thighs and rubbed the tip of his cock across your slit.
You made a small noise to confirm.
Megumi pushed himself inside you. The feeling of your walls stretching and a sudden pain made a yelp left your lips. He pulled his hips back to confirm if he was your first or not, a sickening smile spread across his face when he saw the proof. Thrusting back inside, he made sure to push himself deep inside your cunt until you could feel the heat and shape of his cock.
As he was trying to find a pace, he hit a spot that made you squirm. With a smug smile, he angled his hips just right to find your sweet spot once again to turn your mind into mush.
With each thrust of his hips stroking your sweet spot, you felt... overwhelmed, that was the only word that could describe how you felt.
Eventually, his steady pace slackened and he planted his hands on each side of your head to start humping you like a desperate dog in heat.
Your toes curled and the pain from your hymen being torn became a faint memory. All you could feel was Megumi’s desperation.
The desperation he felt and his inexperience combining was too much. He put all of that frenzy into his hips. Your bed frame started banging on the wall from the force he put behind each thrust.
Mind going completely numb, your eyes rolled up from pleasure, hips moving to meet Megumi’s brutal thrusts. He growled when your gummy walls clenched around his cock, he stopped moving for a moment as his hands hastily went to the back of your knees to push them towards your chest. Mounting you completely, he started fucking you almost frantically.
In this position his cock went deeper and stroked the gummy flesh of your walls enticingly.
The tip of his cock pressed against your cervix, causing your body to start spasming, legs shaking and mouth drooling. “M-M-Megumi-”
Megumi was too busy chasing after his own release and he continued fucking you through your orgasm. He put his entire weight behind his thrusts, growling each time his balls slapped against your ass.
He leaned forward and buried his face in your neck, his lips parted and his teeth sank on the sensitive skin. Squirming, you moaned as you wrapped your arms around his neck to keep him there.
Your pussy clenched around him one last time, squeezing his cock to milk it dry. He managed to steal a few more thrusts before his cock twitched inside your belly. His thick seed filled your womb until it overflowed.
Continuing to fuck his seed deep inside you, Megumi barely managed to pull himself back. He stopped biting your neck, withdrawing himself to stare at how deep he had bitten you. The pain of being bitten wasn’t there or at least it wasn’t there for this moment, you couldn’t feel anything but his cum slowly seeping out from your hole. The warmth in your tummy was leaving your body and spilling onto your sheets instead.
“You’re so cute when you’re jealous,” you giggled, an eerie smile on your lips. “So easy to provoke.”
Thus Megumi became aware of something. You weren’t dumb, you were always calculating whenever you spoke to him, always watching and always doing things that would spur him on.
You didn’t actually belong to him.
He belonged to you.
Beams of light shone through the window—blinds doing little to stop it. The sporadic rays of the sun warmed your skin, your body stirring you awake at the detection of sunlight.
You slowly open your eyes to say good morning to your lover, but you sighed in disappointment at the empty space next to you, a small dip in the bed where they always slept.
You sit up and look at the calendar. There it was, circled in bright red ink, March 7th. Your two year anniversary of dating the scientist.
You knew of their habits; staying up late working on experiments, and waking up extra early to begin again. You understood the importance of their work, but you couldn’t help but be saddened by their frequent absences. You wished, at the very least, they could find time in their day to spend with you, especially on your anniversary of all days.
You sighed, dragging yourself out of bed and to the closet, ready to get dressed and face yet another long, busy day.
---
You knocked on the door again—the third time since you had showed up to the commander’s door. After another moment of no response, you pushed the door open wordlessly, they wouldn’t care if you walked right in anyway. It was a privilege only their lover had; being able to walk in while they were working and talk to them. It was a small gesture of affection between the two of you, but a silent one. Still, you appreciated the gesture.
You stepped into the room, and the sight of Hange hunched over the desk and too dissolved in their work to notice you ignited a twinge of sympathy in you. A single, tall candle on the desk provided what little light there was in the room, and you wondered why they hadn’t even bothered to open the blinds. How long have they been awake?
“Hange?” You chirped quietly, and you saw the scientist jump at the sound of their name, turning to face you curiously. They smiled at you the second they recognized you, a satisfied hum leaving their lips. As soon as you had walked close enough to Hange’s desk, they snaked a hand around your neck, pulling you down to plant a soft kiss to your jawline, before returning their attention to the various papers on their desk.
“Good morning, love.” They greeted quietly, and the tiredness was evident in their voice—they made no attempt to hide it.
You blushed at the affectionate greeting, and made yourself comfortable, leaning against one of the many wooden bookshelves that lined the walls of their office.
“G’morning Hange.” You yawned. You thought out your next sentence carefully before you spoke it. “What are you doing up so early? We have a relaxing day ahead of us.”
Hange bore a confused look, turning to you in unfiltered curiosity. “We do?”
Now it was your turn to be confused. How did they not plan for the date the two of you had planned?
“Yeah...” You deadpanned. “We do.”
They made no verbal response, only exasperating their confused look as if to beckon a further explanation.
“Do you not realize what today is...?” You tilted to the side, perhaps testing the waters for a prank, or a temporary lapse in memory. You waited for their head to perk up and chirp out an affirmation about the date, but they did no such thing.
“...What today is?” They echoed, clearly not understanding what you were talking about.
You sighed annoyingly, eyebrows furrowing in frustration. “Our anniversary, Hange. It’s our anniversary.”
You watched their face sink in realization.
“That’s today...?” They asked meekly. It’s almost as if they could sense the incoming anger and frustration coming from you.
You groaned loudly, pulling your body away from the bookshelf and taking a few steps towards them. “Yes, Hange. It’s today.” Their face strained and they turned to look down at the stack of papers and materials on their desk, a look of ‘Oh shit’ being plastered all over their face.
“Geez, Hange!” You half shouted, causing your already exhausted partner to shrink further into their chair. “You bury yourself in your work so often, but I didn’t think you would forget our anniversary of all things! Am I seriously such a low priority to you?!”
They straightened their back suddenly, and you were reminded of how defensive they got when they felt their work was being insulted. “I have an important job, Y/N! I can’t forfeit everything to spend time with you, I have to keep working!”
You wanted nothing of their excuses, and you turned your back to them, balling up your fists as you headed towards the door, tears prickling the corners of your eyes.
“Fine,” you shuddered, “If you want to spend our anniversary alone, then be my guest!”
---
“Shit,” they paced back and forth on the wooden floor, subconsciously biting their fingernails out of stress. “Shit shit shit...”
Erwin raised an eyebrow at this, watching Hange with a stern, but amused expression. “Are you done?” His voice echoed in the small office.
“Well, four eyes,” Levi spoke, using his favorite nickname for them nonchalantly, “The first step would be to not yell at her.” He answered bluntly.
Hange threw their arms up in frustration. “Yeah, well it’s too late for that!” They grumbled. “I didn’t mean to yell at them... I was just...”
“Cranky?” Levi raised an eyebrow.
They glared at Levi with a relatively displeased expression. “You didn’t have to put it that way...”
A comfortable silence passed the room, and Hange continued to pace the room nervously as Erwin and Levi silently contemplated the estranged person’s query.
“If you really want to make it up to them,” Levi piped up once again, drawing the scientist’s attention away from their thoughts and towards the black haired man sat on the table in front of them. “Then I may have an idea.”
“YES!” Hange shouted, perhaps a little too loud as the two men in the room cringed. “Uh, I mean...” They cleared their throat. “What is it, Levi?”
“Well, first, Erwin.” Levi turned his head to face the blonde man, and Erwin matched his gaze intently. “You’re going to need to give Hange the day off, first.”
Erwin turned his head to the side, folding his arms and sighing, “Use it responsibly.”
“Thank you Erwin!” They flung their arms around the man’s broad shoulders, squeezing him happily in a hug.
They let go after a few seconds, turning to face Levi with and excited expression. “What now Levi?!”
“First,” he deadpanned, “Take a nap. You look miserable.”
---
You strode down the hallways of the barracks, a stern expression still planted on your face from the day’s earlier events.
You decided to play it just like Hange, so you deliberately avoided them in hopes to get them to understand. Was it petty? A little bit. Were you just petty enough to do it anyway? Yeah.
Still, when Erwin pulled you aside out of nowhere and said he needed you urgently, you couldn’t disobey your superior. Not that you had any indication this had to do with Hange, anyway.
“Y/N.” He spoke, boring a serious expression, despite the wildly unprofessional nature of the meeting. “You’re needed somewhere.”
“Wha...” You stumbled over your words for a moment, before asking the first question that came to mind. “Me? Why not someone else?”
He dodged the question effortlessly, continuing right where he left off. “It has to be you. And you have to go alone.” He slid a paper across your desk, but you hesitated to pick it up so quickly.
“Just go to the location I’ve marked here.” He uncrossed his arms and leaned back in his chair, signifying that he had finished speaking. “You’ll understand when you get there. Go.”
You nodded fiercely, saluting him before you turned to leave, picking up the paper as you went.
“And Y/N?” You turned to face him. “Take off your ODM gear. Wear something formal.
---
You went to the location Erwin had specified, and you were only left with more confusion. You had put on something somewhat nice, with a white button up shirt, black dress pants, and shiny black dress shoes. Still, their was no sign of any sort of “mission” that Erwin apparently needed from you.
You had found yourself in an open field, specifically the one behind the Scout regiment building. The tall grass swayed in the wind, and you noted the fact that the usual soldiers sparring in the fields were strangely absent.
But, as the sun began to set, a small light peered it’s way into your vision. You squinted, focuses your eyes on what appeared to be... a candle...?
You stuffed the map into your back pocket carelessly, speed-walking to the light out of curiosity.
You made it towards the source of the light, and it was, indeed, a candle. Of course, there was more than that. It was set on a small circular table draped in a white tablecloth, one chair on either side of it. Two empty wine glasses as well as a few pairs of utensils on each side.
You studied the sight curiously, and you pulled out a chair without thinking. As soon as you did though, you felt a hand on your shoulder, making you jump and squeak out in surprise.
You heard a hearty chuckle behind you, and you turned to face the source of the noise, but your eyes widened in surprise at the sight.
Hange stood tall in a jet black suit, smiling down at you warmly. They had their hair tied in a ponytail, and had ditched their work goggles for more formal rectangular glasses. “Sorry, Y/N.” They rubbed the back of their neck nervously. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
You took a step back, shamelessly eyeing down Hange’s attire, a pink blush creeping up on your cheeks. You meant to stay angry, but you honestly had forgotten all of your gripes upon seeing Hange dressed in such a nice outfit.
“Hange?” You sputtered, trying to hide your fluster. “What’s going on?”
They walked over to you, grabbing your shoulders and pushing you down to sit in one of the chairs.
“I felt a little bad about forgetting our anniversary,” They chuckled nervously, “So I set this up!” They smiled proudly.
“A candlelit dinner?” You mused, raising an eyebrow in amusement. “How original.” Despite your outwardly unamused reaction, you were pleasantly surprised with the display of affection.
They sat down across from you, tucking a strand of hair behind their ear.
“It’s well thought out.” You raised an eyebrow in doubt. “For the time we had...” They smiled nervously.
“I’m sure.” You chuckled. You relaxed into your chair before holding up your empty wine glass. “Did you bring anything other than empty dishes?”
Hange nodded quickly, reaching down under their table to grab something, and you quickly realized that it was the neck of a wine bottle. They popped the cork effortlessly, and poured the two of you a glass each.
You took a sip from your glass, the taste of alcohol relaxing you further into your environment.
Hange put two of theirs fingers in the their mouth and whistled loudly, causing you to wince and cover you ears.
“What was that??” You sputtered.
“Just calling over the cook.”
You nodded, taking another long sip from your wine glass. The suddenness of the situation died down, and you peered up at Hange, who seemed to be staring at you nervously. They seemed to be trying to gauge your reaction, but you weren’t giving them anything to work with, so you decided to start speaking.
“You went out of your way to do this?” You sighed, staring at them curiously.
“Yeah...” They trailed off, “I had to make it up y’know. It really wasn’t my intention to ignore you...”
They looked back up at you, and you tilted your head, prompting them to continue.
“I got consumed in my work, and completely forgot about something so important to you. It’s my mistake.” They bowed their head in apology. “So I set this up. I even got Erwin and Levi to help. I just wanted to make it up to you. I just wanted...” They looked to the side with a blush on their face. “...to make you happy.”
You smiled softly at them, understanding their apology.
“It’s fine, Hange.” You laughed out loud, causing Hange to blush at your beautiful face in the candlelight. “I forgive you.”
They smiled, relief washing over her face as the weight lifted off of their shoulders. “Thank god...” They muttered, leaning back in their chair. “I was afraid I fucked up...” They giggled.
Their face in the yellow hue of the candle make them look ethereal, and you couldn’t help your heart from fluttering as the overwhelming urge to kiss them overtook you.
You peered up through shy eyes and met their bright ones. You didn’t explain at all, but they seemed to understand as you scooted your chair closer and leaned forward. They leaned towards you as well, as your lips connected delicately. You felt their hands go up to cup your cheeks gently as you rested your own hands on the table.
You stayed like that, silently enjoying the moment for what felt like ages, until you heard a small sound to your side.
“Ahem,” The noise startled you to lean back a little bit, and Hange did the same. A man, donned in a formal outfit holding a tray of luxurious looking food.
“Ah, sorry, sorry...” Hange trailed over, slinking back into their chair quickly, their demeanor and posture not at all aligning with the formal connotations of their attire and the setting before them. You had straightened in your chair almost immediately, blushing at the fact that someone had witnessed you sharing a somewhat intimate moment with Hange.
The waiter said nothing, only rolling his eyes as he set the tray down upon the table, before turning around to walk away silently.
You scooped some food onto your plate, watching admirably as Hange did the same. Once they had finished, they turned their head up to meet your gaze before smiling.
“Happy anniversary, love.”
The Lost Boys x s/o!Reader (Make Up Sex)
Warnings: NSFW/Smut content, cursing, blood mention (just a small hint to it though), verbal arguments
(There’s no specific gender mention)
David (the rat man)
Tumblr media
You don’t fight a lot, but the times you do it’s explosive and damaging to your relationship. David is stubborn and won’t admit when he’s in the wrong and it drives you up the wall. You, also, have your moments of fault. Ultimately, the both of you end up in each others arms again one way or another. David thinks the best way to make up is sex, and for once you’ll get a sweet and tender side of him. The side of David that will actually make love to you, rather than the usual rough and dominant side you see. He’ll kiss you all over, take his time giving you pleasure, and whisper sweet things to you, things you have to remind yourself are actually coming out of David’s mouth they’re so unbelievably sweet.
However...
That is just one of a few ways it could go with David. If you’re being a brat and that’s what y’all are fighting about expect to be roughed up. I’m talking bruises, hickeys, possibly some blood, spit takes, vamp!face to make an appearance. Expect him to degrade you and make you beg for him. There’s a difference between genuine arguments and then pissing each other off for the sake of it. And if you plan on pissing him off just because you want too....well I hope you know what you’ve got yourself into. David will drag you back to the cave and fuck you until you can’t walk. Hell, he might not even let you cum. Like I said, if it’s a genuine thing you’re arguing about it will be different, but the times when you bicker will probably end in a lot of rough sex....cause’ it’s David...what do you expect?
Paul (the twisted sister lookalike)
Tumblr media
There’s nothing much you and Paul argue about, there’s no reason for it cause’ Paul’s chill and really sweet (and so are you darling mwah mwah). Though you do have your moments, as does every relationship, and it could be over something simple that blew up, or something that genuinely hurt one of you. Whatever it may be, you both can get pretty loud and mean when it comes to it and Paul hates it. He hates being on your bad side and arguing with you, therefore it’s not surprising that he wants to make up straight away and Paul turns to sex for most anything in his life. He is a sexual being with a high libido and if he can use it as a tool to stop whatever has come between the two of you...he will.  He’ll stop your yelling by kissing you roughly and trapping you against the wall and his body, he’ll travel them down your body until you’re moaning and just as turned on as him. The plan is to make you forget, and to forgive. If you wanna take control of the situation and maybe rough him up a bit then he’s down for that, but he’s also cool with doing it his own way and fucking you senseless until there’s nothing left to argue about and you’re just wrapped up in sheets with a joint between the two of you. Make up sex with Paul is pretty much a given whenever you both argue, you know that’s how it’s going to end and most the time, once the deed is done, you can talk and work through your issues rather then yelling about them.
Dwayne (the one who doesn’t speak, but is very sexy)
Tumblr media
You and Dwayne barely ever argue, it could be for a number of reasons; he doesn’t like being angry with you, he doesn’t like raising his voice at you, and it takes a lot to rile him up enough to argue at all, because the both of you prefer to talk out any issues in your relationship, however you both have your limits. There will be something to argue about, cause’ a healthy relationship isn’t built up of sunshine and butterflies. As before mentioned, Dwayne won’t raise his voice at you. Ever. But, the minute he starts getting frustrated about something he can seem like a different person and if he gets angry enough he might punch a wall, or possibly send a harsh comment your way. Which is shocking and will probably throw you back a little bit and don’t think he won’t notice the sudden change in you. That’s when the making up begins, the minute the entire demeanor changes from ‘we were arguing’ to ‘this went too far’ he’s right by your side and kissing you, reassuring you of his love and apologizing. In his mind sex probably isn’t where it was going, but the situation just turned out that way and he takes the opportunity to pleasure you with his love. This man knows how to make love, and it’s probably the usual routine for the two of you when you get intimate, but he’ll take it up a notch when in this situation. Expect every inch of your body to be kissed, you’ll be praised and worshiped, he won’t leave until you’re satisfied and he doesn’t care about his own finish as long as you got yours. He’ll feel so immensely guilty about the argument days after it’s happened that he will treat you like glass, like you’re the most precious thing to walk the earth (which he usually does anyway, but like more).
Marko (the little one that starts fights)
Tumblr media
Marko starts arguments with you, because he thinks you’re sexy when you’re angry, and will take every opportunity to look at you smugly while you stand there yelling at him. Like, he wasn’t the one who got you this way in the first place. He won’t necessarily yell back, no, just say something tauntingly until you feel as though you could punch him. And then, once you’re on the verge of crushing his skull with your inhuman strength due to anger, he’ll straight up just make out with you, a full on teeth clashing, lip biting, fighting for dominance kinda kiss that leaves you breathless and gasping for air. It’s not even make up sex it’s just angry sex that plays into make up sex because the argument doesn’t continue after you’re finished. And the sex itself is mind blowing. Multiple orgasms, hair pulling, choking, fighting to be on top, edging, and teasing. It’s....yh it’s wow.
There is also a however with Marko though....
Because not all your arguments are Marko trying to wind you up to get laid. Sometimes the two of you argue over serious stuff, whatever it may be, and it’s a different sort of argument and making up. It might get to a point where he thinks it’s gone too far; this isn’t a fun argument, this is a ‘our relationship could end from this’ and it completely changes things. He might not always wanna make up with sex in these instances, so it won’t necessarily be make up sex, but more like a first time since the incident. And he’ll really try and take his time and show you he loves you because sometimes it’s difficult for him to do so. It might not be slow and sensual, but it will be filled with passion and words of affirmation. It will be one of the moments you remember and realise how much he genuinely cares about you.
* * *
TWO MONTHS AGO
 Your incarnadine wrap dress fluttered in the wind, fastened only by the golden broach of nobility at your exposed shoulder. Rays of early morning sun glinted off the wine glass that was being twirled between your fingers, as you watched the city from the castle of Mistras. A new batch of children were being piled into carriages, waiting to be sent off as slaves, to the city of Athens.
“You cannot keep running from this marriage. I know you already rule Athens, but after the death of your husband, you must marry again!” You clicked your tongue and rolled your eyes at your father’s remark.
“I have no time for love. I had to sacrifice love for respect. You know this much.” You took a seat opposite your father, who was running a hand over his grey beard. “On the contrary, the Athenians are weak. If I wanted to marry again, I would choose someone in a position of strength.” You said, rolling a grape between your pointer and thumb, making your father sigh.
“I know what you sacrificed, Y/n. What you had to do was terrible, but it was for the best. Both for you and your d-”
“Anyway,” You said, cutting your father off, “I am already Queen of Athens and the leader of the Spartan army. What use would a husband be?”
“Commander Y/n.” The doors of the hall burst open, revealing a puffed and red faced soldier. “The Duke Of Normandy has sent you this.” He passed you a piece of tinted brown parchment, bound by the wax stamp of Normandy.
“Leave me.” You waved your hand, and the warrior promptly left the room.
* * *
“Rollo is bringing a great ally, from a place named ‘Sparta.” Hvitserk said, standing beside his brother, Ivar, and King Harald. A fleet of blue Francia flags sailed towards them like great dragons on the dusky pewter ocean.
“I have heard little of this ally that Rollo is bringing.” Harald said, folding his arms across his chest. “But, what I have heard is that he is a great and fearsome warlord, and that his soldiers are blood-thirsty demons.”
“She. The ally is a she.” Hvitserk corrected Harald, watching Ivars expression turn into one of curiosity.
“What is her name then, dear brother?” Ivar asked, staring at the approaching ships with a new found excitement.
“Y/n. But she is often referred to as the ‘Serpent of Sparta.’” Hvitserk said, feeling uneasy about the glint in Ivars blue eyes. “And if I were you, I would stay out of her way. Her people basically worship her. They believe that she is a descendant of one of their Gods of battle. Ares I believe God was called.”
Ivar smirked. Not only was she apparently a great warrior, but she was also apparently descended from the gods?
“Well, I do look forward to meeting this ‘Y/n’. I would hope that she lives up to her reputation, otherwise I will be disappointed.” Ivar took one last glance at the oncoming fleet, before making his way back down the salt washed wooden deck, ignoring the ‘of course you do,’ from Harald.
* * *
Your nose wrinkled. The pungent smell of decaying fish grew stronger as you came to dock. After stopping in Francia to gather Rollo’s men, you and three hundred of your best Spartan warriors made for Norway. And after two weeks at sea, you were in a horrid mood. After an attempted assassination directed at you, you were pushed over the edge. Not only did you have to command your own men, Rollo had dropped out the day you were meant to leave, making you in charge of all his Francish soldiers. The problem other than the sheer amount of men to keep track of? There was  a massive language barrier. You spoke Russian because you often went to Kiev, on trade deals, and you also spoke the language of the northmen. Not french.
Your days often consisted of making ludacris hand gestures to command the french, only to be laughed at by your own warriors. Though you only shared the same ship as your best warriors, the only person you could confide in was Freydis, a Norwegian slave that you had bought from Kattegat five years prior. She had taught you the language of Norway and you taught her Greek. Freydis had grown to be your best, and only friend. You had made her a free woman, yet she chose to stay by your side, through everything. She told you everything about herself and she knew almost everything about you.
“Get ready to dock!” You yelled, throwing thick reams of hemp rope attached to an anchor into the dark water, before climbing over the edge of the ship, Freydis and your best fighters trailing behind you. You were greeted by a large wooden dock surrounded by what looked like disheveled old fishermen.
“I thought these people would be made from tougher stuff.” You said in your language, making your warriors laugh, as you fixed the golden clasp of your crimson cloak. With one flick of your hand, your Spartan warriors started to march down the dock in a wild wave of red and gold. You were at the head, with Freydis and Araios, your second in command, by your side.
“Commander, I heard that this ‘Ivar the Boneless’ is a cripple. Talk about not being tough.” Araios chuckled. You did not not.
“So what? One of our gods, Hephaestus was crippled, yet he was a great warrior. I would not so lightly throw that statement around with malice.” You gave Araios a stern look, before continuing down the dock.
* * *
“I have been anticipating your arrival, Lady Y/n.” You came to a stop in front of the throne that King Harald Finehair was situated on. “We all have.” He finished, before waving his hand at Hvitserk, a Northman you had met in France, and a dark haired Viking that you had not yet met.
“You will address me as Queen or Commander Y/n.” You corrected King Harald. “Take your pick.”  The dark haired Viking chuckled, before reaching out his hand.
“Do you know who I am?” He said, shaking your hand. Since he was obviously not King Harald, or Hvitserk, it was a simple enough equation to solve.
“You are Ivar The Boneless. Ragnar Lothbrok's youngest.” You said, making Ivar duck his head with a grin.
“And you have met my brother, I hear.” Ivar pointed to Hvitserk, who refused to make eye contact with you.
“Yes. I remember him. I had to put him in his place after he unsuccessfully tried to ‘woo’ me into bed.” You shot a look at Hvitserk, who was scratching the back of his head and glaring at his brother.
“Well, Queen Y/n, I am sure that we can thank the Gods that you and your men have arrived unharmed. Though, I must ask, where is Rollo?” King Harald said, moving from his throne to sit at a table with Ivar and Hvitserk, indicating for you to do the same.
“Yes, I give thanks to Poseidon for a good passage.” You said, taking a seat opposite the northmen. “As for Duke Rollo, he had urgent business along the Silk Road to attend to.”
“I am sure that you will fare well in his stead. But for now, make yourself comfortable. Tonight there will be a great feast to mark your arrival.”
Mushroom soup, bitter greens with tomatoes the size of peas, rare roast beef slices as thin as paper, dried salmon and whale in a green sauce, cheese you brought from Francia that melts on your tongue served with sweet blue grapes. The feast was certainly large and exciting. But it was not the type of food you and your warriors were used to. Usually, you had lean chicken breast and a small bunch of grapes, greens, bread and the occasional fish. All  because a doctor in Athens had carried out research to conclude that those foods helped with building of muscle. The servants that the Northmen called ‘thralls’,  were all young women dressed in greys rags, moved wordlessly to and from the table, keeping the platters and glasses full.
“Why are your Spartan soldiers eating outside?” Ivar asked you, finding it odd that only the warriors from Francia and Norway were in the feasting hall.
“We eat outside for the most part. You said, taking a sip of Mead. The drink of the northmen was certainly different to your usual wine, but it was a welcome difference. “They also sleep outside in trenches. My people believe that it makes them stronger. Little girls and boys born in Sparta, are placed in a number of trials. They have to fight and fend for themselves. If they can’t, they either are left on a hillside to die, or they are sent to the City of Athens as slaves.”
“We do something similar. We leave the weak out to die. But we do not test our children like that. Is that not too harsh?” Ivar said, leaning forward, making you chuckle.
“Ivar, if you want to be the best, you have to have the best warriors. And because I am sitting here right now, proves that you do not have the best warriors.” You said. Ivar narrowed his eyes as he tipped his cup of mead back and placed it on the table.
“We do have good warriors. We were just out numbered, because Bjorn had hired the help of the woodland fighters from Sweden.” Ivar crossed his arms, clearly annoyed that you would suggest his army was not sufficient. You had to laugh. Were these men being serious?
“Forgive me, I forget that the warriors of your people are not on the same level as mine.” You smirked into your horn of mead, watching as offence flickered over Ivars face.
“And why would you say that?” Hvitserk said, trying to defuse Ivars switch.
“The Battle of Thermopylae. Three hundred of my Spartan warriors fought against a vast army of the Persians. There were thousands of them, yet, we still won. Yes, we did have the advantage of land, being that we were on the high ground, but non the less. And you tell me that with a huge heathen army, you could not win because the other side had a couple hundred more warriors?” You said, making Ivar scoff.
“Well, then it was fated. The Gods were on your side, otherwise you would have lost.” Ivar said, making you frown.
“When my Spartan warriors fight, Ares grants us good will.” You narrowed your eyes and leaned forward. “But are you telling me that the Gods don’t favour you?”
“Don’t be stupid, of course the Gods favour us, afterall, they have allowed us to pull together an even bigger army.” Ivar said as he re-filled his horn with gritted teeth.
“In any case, it is up to fate now. Hmm?” Harald said, standing up. “Well, I must go now and see where Astrid has gotten to.” King Harald took on the last swig of Mead, before weaving his way through the crowd and through a door at the back of the room.
“Well, it is getting late. I better go find Freydis.” You said and stood up. “Have a good night.” You ignored Ivars grunt and nodded your head at Hvitserks ‘farewell,’ before following the same path as Harald.
“What do you think of her, brother?” Hvitserk asked cautiously, very aware of Ivars clenched jaw and his blue eyes baring into your back as you left. Ivars silence made Hvitserk bite his lip. He did not think he could bear his brother complaining about you for the next few weeks.
“She is arrogant and rather patronizing.” Ivar said, a smirk slowly curling his lip. “I like her.”
“You fight like a child.” You spat out a mouthful of salty crimson, swinging your bruised fist. Crack! The large white-haired viking toppled into the mud - for the third time. He had challenged you to a fight after he overheard you talking the night prior. But unfortunately for him, he just proved your point. You being half his size and a woman, he thought he could win the fight with ease. But you had only sustained a punch to the jaw, whereas he was sporting a broken and nose and multiple lost teeth.
“Þú eru witchr!” The man growled, stumbling up from the mud.
“No I am not a witch.” You side-stepped out of his way, as he lunged towards you, only to miss completely and stagger back down into the mud with a thump. “I am just better than you.”
“When I asked you to come help fight, I did not mean fight my men.” You heard a voice call. Turning around, you saw Ivar, who was leaning against a blacksmiths doorway. He stretched out his hand and beckoned you toward him.
“What do you want?” You asked, annoyed that you were interrupted.
“I was thinking about what you said last night.” Ivar said, tapping his crutch thoughtfully.
“So was he.” You pointed your thumb at White-Hair, who was still on the ground a few yards away. Ivar rolled his eyes and leaned forward.
“Not like that. I want you to train my warriors.” Ivar said, watching your expresion flicker.
“And why would I do that?”
“Do you want to win this battle?” He asked.
“I could win this battle easier without your men.” You retorted, crossing your arms. Did you not have enough to worry about?
“Then why don’t you?”
secret. | itafushi
in which Fushiguro and Itadori are dating in secret.
and it was going all great and good
until Itadori accidentaly kissed Fushiguro in front of their whole group of friends.
---
Needless to say, it was kind of a great night.
With both, 1st and 2nd year trio hanging around in the common room watching some stupid movie—that’s what they decided to call it after Itadori chose it- cramped around each other, because no one really wanted to give up the couch and sat on the floor.
Well, not really everyone is cramped up. Maki—of course, got to sit alone on the single couch all because she won the rock paper scissors tournament, and when that settled no one really wanted to rechallenge the scary master of cursed weapons now, did they?
Panda and Inumaki had also luckily managed to win the double couch, already making themselves comfortable. And given how unlucky the first years track record was—like having to fight a literal special grade cursed spirit on their very first mission, the three of them had to sit pressed against each other on the another double couch available there.
It was right then Itadori, Fushiguro, and Kugisaki made an unspoken agreement that as soon as their damn white-haired teacher comes back from his usual shenanigans, they would rightfully demand another place to sit they deserved immediately. Literally these guys had to risk their lives every time a mission comes up and they couldn’t even get a proper common room where everyone could sit comfortably.
Though, it’s not like these situations didn’t bring certain advantages to certain boys who are dating in secret.
The atmosphere was strangely quiet, only the sound of the tv continued along the nightfall. They’re all focused on the movie that Itadori had specially hand-picked from his personal collection. He felt strangely smug about that—fortunately no one has said anything about it.
But the thing is, being the guy who recommended to film means that you’ve already watched it. And it’s only normal to find some parts of it were pretty boring when you already knew what’s going to happen.
Itadori yawned, feeling the drowsiness coming. Kugisaki that was leaning to him mumbled on his right shoulder, “You tired?” Her eyes still on the moving screen. “Nah, just sleepy,” Itadori responded, finding himself staring Fushiguro on his left. He thought about how great it was if he could snuggle up against the boy and just sleep right then, but couldn’t, since they both agreed to wait for more time until telling the group about their relationship.
It wasn’t long before Fushiguro noticed the lingering gaze, returning the stare with one of his own. “What?” He whispered exasperatedly, yet gentle, like a newfound fondness in what he considered to be annoying before. Itadori just smiled, letting out the quietest mutter he could manage, “Nothing, you’re just too pretty I couldn’t help it.”
The raven-haired male only cringed at how cheesy it sounded but still blushed, nonetheless. “The embarrassing things that came out from your mouth sometimes..” He held the cushion pillow closer to his face, in an attempt to hide the color that was creeping up to his cheeks, though it wasn’t really doing much since the room was already dim.
Suddenly Itadori felt a sharp nudge on his right side, making him double over in pain. “Shut up with your whispering over there, some of us are trying watch!” Kugisaki hissed, clearly infuriated. “Salmon,” Inumaki chimed in, seeming like agreeing to what the redhead had to say.
Itadori only chuckled without any remorse.
“Fine I’ll be quiet! Geez. This could be considered bullying, y’know,” he mumbled the last part, Kugisaki made a face at this, ready to give him a second violent nudge. Itadori raised both of his arm, surrendering. He could feel Fushiguro’s body shook, holding his laughter. Itadori softened.
If he could see Fushiguro’s smile then all is good.
Another fifteen minutes passed, Itadori couldn’t take it anymore. He’s extremely sleepy. As good as the movie was, it’s not really fun anymore to watch for the second time, especially for someone who got easily bored. He let out another yawn,
“I think I’m gonna go back to my room, enjoy the rest of the movie everyone, good night.” Everyone offered a curt hum, one or two of them mumbled wishing him a good night as well.
He got up, giving Fushiguro a small peck under his eye.
It was not until too late and everyone had stared at him that he realized, he just kissed Fushiguro in front of them, the very people who they’ve been desperately hiding the relationship from.
Itadori would be fine with some cheering, or a hundred bombarding questions, or maybe something else, really, anything besides this complete and utter silence. This unbearable stillness that demanded explanations about what it was that Itadori just did.
“Th-there was an eyelash on Fushiguro’s cheek!”
Even Fushiguro’s demon dogs knew that wasn’t a very smart answer.
“So like a normal person you decided to pick it up with your mouth?” Maki asked, drawing her hand up to fix her glasses’ placement.
“That’s unsanitary,” Panda said disapprovingly while Inumaki only nodded along.
“What?! How was it different than kissing a person?” Itadori retorted, Fushiguro wished that the older male would just stop talking. None of the thing he said had helped their now futile attempt in keeping their relationship a secret.
“So you were kissing him then?” Kugisaki smirked, the four of them succeeded on cornering Itadori to where they wanted.
“There was no kiss, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Itadori stubbornly deflect, bringing his gaze elsewhere. “No? So nothing like the one like last week when both of you were in the kitchen making dinner?” Maki said, now wearing a similar smug smirk like Kugisaki. “Or that time at night after a mission before you both went back to your respective rooms?” She continued, merciless.
By then Itadori and Fushiguro’s faces had turned red in shame, the pink-haired boy a spluttering mess, the younger boy had his face so deep on the cushion he’s holding, wishing it would open a hole similar to a shadow puddle he summoned on a daily basis and swallowed him already.
“Right, I also saw you two on the training ground a few days back, underneath the tree, K-I-S-S-“ Panda followed, tone mischievous.
“Ah!! Stop, stop!!” Itadori cut him off, before he could totally die out of mortification.
His friends already knew, they already knew and didn’t say anything to him. He remembered all those times thinking he was being sneaky when it turns out, they all already knew, even worse, they saw it all!
“I can’t believe none of you guys said anything until now!” Itadori yelled, though it lacked bark seeing his neck still in a color similar to his uniform’s hood. “Please, it’s not like we had to see you guys kiss to know you both are dating, you flirt with him in broad daylight every damn day, have some shame!” Kugisaki yelled back, now standing up pointing his index finger sharply to the other male.
“Wha-well, in my defense, Fushiguro likedit!” He blurted out, making the entire room spared their attention to the shadowcurses-wielder.
If Fushiguro didn’t want to die before, now he definitely does.
“Oh? Why are my cute students still up this late at night?” Said a familiar playful voice, making everyone turned their heads to the source of sound. Gojo had come back from whatever business he was attending to. Honestly no one asked anything about it anymore, the guy’s too vexatious.
Itadori saw this distraction as an opening, he dashed past his teacher, grabbing along Fushiguro with him.
“Nothing at all, Gojo-sensei, me and Fushiguro were just about to go back to our own room!” The older male shouted, running to the direction of their rooms.
-
It seemed like they were both saved, because Fushiguro honestly didn’t know how to respond to that kind of thing. Relieve washed over him, seeing the sight of his own room’s door. A safe place. But forget about that.
Fushiguro thwacked Itadori over the head, it didn’t hurt, it never did. “Are you an idiot, saying things like that in front of everyone?” He sighed relently, his cheeks somewhat still a bit warm. He was actually glad by the sudden development of the event, Itadori really looked like he was really troubled then.
“Ehh?” Itadori leaned in upon hearing that, putting his both of his hands on the dark-haired male either sides, trapping him against the wall between their room. He’s pouting. “But you do like it, right?” His eyebrow furrowed in worry, searching Fushiguro’s expression.
The latter man only squirmed at the sudden proximity; his face returned to a color of crimson.
“Of course I do,” he mumbled, looking away. Fushiguro’s eyes glistened with peeking moonlights, his eyelashes moved gently along the breeze of wind over the opened window. What a stunning sight, Itadori thought.
He sneaked a hand below his lover’s jaw, leading his stare back to him. The usual goofy expression on Itadori’s face was gone, replaced by a serious one. Like finding a chore that had to be done immediately, the urgence on the boy in front of him was pulling Fushiguro in, he shivered in excitement.
Finally their lips met, for a moment, nothing else mattered.
It was only a quick kiss, but still sweet nonetheless, considering the smile they have on their features.
A realization dawned upon them suddenly. Perhaps the real problem here all along was that they need to stop kissing in places like hallways if they really want people to not know. They only looked at each other, knowing that the matter was far from over since they practically ran away from the situation.
They can only imagine how troublesome tomorrow’s going to be.
“We don’t learn, do we?”
“I guess we don’t.”
They smiled.
