As much as Astarion boasts (and resents) his familiarity with seduction, you're an anomaly he's yet to understand despite his centuries of experience.

Never once in his courtship, even when he'd been alive, had he felt so tested that he was jealous, over someone. Not really, anyway. Sure there were bits of bitter feelings here and there, but most were trivial and about something involved in the relationship, not the person themselves.

He's counted four times since the two of you met, where he had to resort to his better judgment to avoid resorting to pettiness. The first one, was out of necessity--so much so that he didn't even realize what it was at first.

He had watched you snuggle up to Shadowheart of all people, just when he thought he'd finally manipulated enough to have you wrapped around his finger. Instead, he had to hear you laugh as you let the cleric lead you to a nearby lake, making him question if somehow, he'd gotten rusty. Especially when the rival in question was clearly too busy having a religious crisis to properly court you. Sure, you technically didn't belong to him, nor did he belong to you at the time, but he went to sleep feeling oddly irritated. He made sure to flirt with you even more, apparently, the next morning.

The second time, he had accepted the strange feeling in his chest whenever he saw you. And Gods he should have done it earlier. He made sure to show plenty of public affection, kissing your cheek or hand randomly as you and your companions explored the shadow-cursed lands. He got a mouthful from Lae'zel a few times, but he couldn't care less. And just when he believed he'd eliminated any potential rivals, the damned druid suggested that you had feelings for him. Here, he felt that same churning feeling he had weeks ago at camp, and found it was one that he didn't long for. He wouldn't have blamed you if you'd considered it--especially since the two of you stopped being physically intimate after his confession. But he could deny how much he hated this feeling. Pretending he hadn't heard, waited for you to approach him that night. When you reassured him you'd said no, he could breathe again.

The last time was weeks later, at Sharess' Caress, where the two of you were approached by the drow twins. And when he'd confessed he wasn't ready to become intimate again, as much as it scared him, you only smiled at him and nodded. That cursed warmth he felt from such a simple act of kindness would follow him to the end of his days. But he hadn't had enough time to revel in it, because the drow twins assured you only you would be enough, even if he wasn't a part of it. The moment you refused, he was already dragging you out of the room, cursing the twins under his breath.

But for the first time, he thinks you're the one experiencing that dreadful feeling of insecurity.

"Your measurements are perfect for this new selection that just came in! Here, let me just check if the rest would fit."

He'd thought little of the harmless touches of the tailor, but as he notices your expression through the reflection of one of the mirrors, he thinks differently. Your lips are pursed, eyes following the tailor's movements like a hawk as you tighten the arms crossed over your chest. Astarion himself is no stranger to touch, especially to innocent ones like this, but if your body language means anything, the sentiments are not mutual.

The tailor reaches up to measure his arm span, inevitably bring their face a little to close to his neck. He just tilts away, nodding mindlessly at what the tailor is saying, but his attention is fully on you. You're fidgeting, and your anxiousness is impossibly obvious to him, but the more mischievous part of him stops him from doing anything about it. Instead, he revels in it.

"Did you get my inside leg?" he asks the tailor, grinning widely. "I think you might have to redo it. I was leaning a bit."

The tailor agrees though all he sees is a nod of a head and a voice in his ear going right through the other. He observes as your face falls, and just as the tailor crouches down and leans close, you're immediately across the room at record-speed, hand latching over the tailor's wrist.

Astarion barely manages to hold in his laugh. His smile, however, is another story.

"I'll do it," you mumble to the tailor. They look to you and back up to Astarion before seemingly realizing what's going on, nodding.

"Very well."

He never thought you could look even more alluring than he already finds you, but the way your jaw clenches and your brows furrow makes him think otherwise. You lean down and take the measurements as needed, stomping on his foot in the process.

He snorts.

Once the tailor leaves for the stock room, he finds you sighing. "You did that on purpose."

It's not a question. He laughs, and while he could just apologize, he takes your hand in his, tilting your head with the other so you'd look at him. He might even consider the glare you give him as cute.

"Jealous, are you?"

"What do you think?"

"I was starting to think you weren't capable of jealousy."

"Why not?" you say, feeling his thumb rubs the top of your hand. "I've been plenty jealous before."

At this, he raises a brow. "I'd surely remember that."

"When we first met," you recall. "You flirted with practically everyone in camp. Saying you wanted to drink from Wyll, or something like that."

"You must know that I was--"

"I know what it was," you roll your eyes. "Not at the time though, and I thought you'd lost interest in me."

His jaw falls agape. "You're jesting."

"Why do you think I started flirting with other people? I figured you didn't like me as much as I liked you, so I moved on. Tried, at least."

"Is that what your visits to Shadowheart were?"

You scrunch your nose. "Oh Gods, I forgot about that. I'd rather not remember sleeping with one of my closest friends, thanks."

He can't help the grin stretching on his lips, and you notice, feeling yourself smile with him. "You're enjoying this far too much, Astarion."

"Please, tell me the next time you're jealous, so I'll know to keep an eye on you."

"Don't ask such ridiculous things," you retort, feigning annoyance before lifting his palm to your cheek and pressing a kiss to it. He swears his undead heart might've felt it. And just like that, the tailor returns, and you drop your intertwined hands, and he sees you shoot him a warning glare.

Acknowledging he's had enough fun teasing you today, he shrugs, and when the tailor begins showing him an array of outfits, he's not listening. Instead, he toys with the ring behind his back, making sure to commit your expression to his memory.

Ok but yandere miguel falling for a darling who doesn't want kids definitely has the "I can fix her" mentality. Especially even if you express no interest in kids or taking care of them, you do so with plants or animals.

Like what do you mean you dont want kids? The last like 4 weeks basically every hour you wake up to bottle feed a litter kittens. Clearly you're just coping from not having one already. It's ok, he's happy to help you make one.

Ok but like for real in the actual movie when Miguel is explaining the Arachnoid Poly Multiverse to Miles, one of the canon events you can see is getting married, so, a significant relationship, romantic, platonic, or otherwise is a canon event for every Spider. I've thought of "youre off in your own dimension being single when Miguel MAKES you have a relationship and eventually decides it has to be him bc you HAVE to get married or have babies WITH SOMEONE" to "this is a Reader who lost their home universe and you live in Nueva York now and it's unclear if you're supposed to even be following canon anymore or if you're an anomaly but one day Lyla tells him the model says he COULD be your husband maybe idk "

Anon: Could i request platonic yandere machi and yandere chrollo, pakunoda, uvogin, franklin, hisoka feitan, nobunga, kortopi with machi’s older brother who has all the powers and power level of saiki kusuo, and so hes really infamous due to his powers even if they dont know his face or how he looks like, and also kind of protective of machi due to the work she does and also willing to help her out in missions even though he is not part of the spiders. But only if Machi is in trouble and is not as willing to help if its because other members are in trouble. Also i feel like reader would come really handy after chrollo lost his nen, not even just for communicating but also for helping him exorcise the nen bc in the real anime he showed us that he could restore life so i would doubt that there is anything saiki couldnt do.

I have not watched Saiki K so I had to read through an article to understand his powers and what I understood from it is that this dude can basically do everything. Also, considering that both Machi and Saiki have pink hair they may as well be siblings an an alternitive timeline. Obviously Machi is platonic in here but I also made Kortopi platonic whilst the rest leans into the romantic obsession. I also kind of connected everyone's Hc's in the sense that all of them develop an obsession for male reader here.

Machi's brother with powers like Saiki Kusuo

The Phantom Troupe are like the spiders that adorn their bodies as a tattoo. They hide in every nook and cranny to get their hands on the goods that they desire to claim. Tales of your existence are only shared in the darkest slums or the highest societies, your Nen hailed as the strongest in existence. None of those people have a connection to you as strong as the Phantom Troupe though yet they are simultanously closer yet also still as far away from you as everyone else. Machi has sworn loyalty to the troupe from the moment they were founded by Chrollo and has confessed that this legendary figure is none other than her older brother. Intrest in you had been there from the moment of that reveal and it is still there even to this day as Chrollo even intended to have you join the troupe as well yet from what Machi told everyone you were a lone wolf who only really cared about your younger sister and who most likely wouldn't bother helping other members. True to her word in all the years none of them ever saw you. It isn't until the unfortunate encounter with Kurapika that Machi decides to ask for your help and, though reluctantly, you agree.

Chrollo Lucilfer

📖Chrollo's interest in you has festered over the years as you are an anomaly to him, someone he can't get his hands on. There has always been far too little information about you as truth couldn't be separated from rumors and even Machi, the greatest source of information, has always been guarded about the knowledge she revealed about you. Chrollo has decided to respect her decision to not reveal any information about you though even if it doesn't satiate the growing dark tear in him that longs to be filled with the knowledge of you and your Nen. As unfortunate as the encounter with the chain user has been for him and the troupe, at least it hasn't been a complete loss to him as you travel to their current hideout. Dark eyes gauge your every reaction from the moment you appear as if you were a frog and he the hawk planning to catch you. Only that you are no mere prey as you soon showcase. Not only do you exorcise Kurapika's Nen from him but on a sudden whim you even decide to use Restoration to revive Pakunoda and Uvogin, two spiders who did in Yorknew City. Your Nen exceeds everything the rumors say and it is then that he knows he can't let you leave again.

📖​Normally he would simply use his Nen to steal your abilities from you yet there are two factors that make this all quite difficult. After all you are Machi's older brother and as loyal as Machi is to him she would be opposed to the idea of her leader stealing your Nen. Then there is also you who does not trust him in the least and additionally knows of his Nen and how it works. Obviously you wouldn't trust him then as soon as he attempts to question you about how your Nen works. Convincing you to stay after you have done what you have deemed to be necessary is difficult as you have no interest to join the troupe or to become an ally. Chrollo still tries to engage you as he does his best to prolong your stay as long as possible by providing you with all comfort and things you like and enjoy. What is it that you really want? How can he bind you to the troupe, specifically to him? He tries to read through your bored face as he attempts to piece together the puzzle that is you. He can't let you escape his grasp now that he finally has you in front of him after years of waiting for this chance.

Feitan Portor

☠️​Feitan can't quite get along with you at first. He only accepts your presence because you are here to help Chrollo and just like everyone, except Machi who doesn't look overly surprised, he is left in shock when you even restore two deceased members of the troupe. With such power comes the unavoidable caution and distrust in him though. He knew that your Nen was refered to as the strongest for a reason yet he would have never thought it to be to this extent. You're neither a member nor do you call yourself an ally so having you in the hideout of the Phantom Troupe is a dangerous gamble in his eyes and he only grows more hostile when he realises how much interest other members start to have in you. He has voiced his worries to Chrollo who assured him that you wouldn't do anything as you, even if begrudgingly, respected Machi's own desires and wishes. The interest his leader has in you is at that point obvious to him and he silently wonders if you have put a spell on all of them as he seethes with silent anger.

☠️​It is when he realises how dismissive and disrespectful you are around other members, especially Chrollo who they all respect, that he snaps and requests if he can talk to you alone. His voice is a low hiss as he tells you that he doesn't trust you and that he is fed up with your nonchalant behavior in the face of even Chrollo. Your face remains as bored as ever, only fueling his wrath as he starts cursing under his breath. It is then that you propose a fight all of a sudden in hopes of cutting this conversation short since you're feeling tired, nonchalantly dismissing his words and even his powers as if he weren't a feared member of the troupe. Feitan accepts as you have not only insulted his pride but because he is secretly also curious just how much your Nen can do. Everything is over within a few seconds and he can only glare at you with humiliation yet also a hint of reverence, begrudgingly admitting that you are at least not a dog who knows only how to bark. His feelings for you take a spin after that day and by god does he despise turning into a fool just like the rest of the members. He doesn't believe in the idea of talking you into joining. Thieves take what they want after all.

Pakunoda

💘​Pakunoda sacrificed her life with no regrets at all as she had done so to ensure the survival of the rest of the spiders. She didn't know that Machi would not only contact but convince her brother to help this one point and she especially didn't expect to come to her senses only to look up at you. She hasn't been told who you are yet your pink hair as well as the colder look on your face instantly brings back memories of Machi as she looks at you before other familiar faces pop into her vision. Some of them hide it better whilst others don't but the shock filling the air due to her revival is almost palpable to her. It is when Machi leans down and her and your face are basically next to each other that Pakunoda asks if you are her brother. You just roll your eyes before asking if it shouldn't be obvious, your snarky tone earning you a glare from Machi and Feitan before you raise your hands in surrender and apologise. So that is the man who can create miracles with his Nen? As she slowly sits up, feeling her previously crushed heart beating again in her chest she comes to realise that no rumor could have done your abilities justice.

💘​The gratitude and respect she gives you afterwards isn't because you brought her back from the dead though. No, it is because you helped Chrollo and the rest of the spiders with your abilities that they wouldn't have found anywhere else in the world. You do not seem to like being praised though as you grumble that this is a one-time thing and that you won't help them next time. You do not let her touch you very much and initially suspects that you probably don't trust her abilities. Machi reassures you though that her Nen most likely wouldn't work against your bullshit powers anyways and that you just aren't too fond of physical touch, a true lone wolf through and through. You seem to tolerate Pakunoda's presence though more than others and she feels weirdly flattered by that as she isn't trying to pry information out of you nor tries to sweet-talk you into joining the crew. She's aware of Chrollo's desire to have you permanantly stay and in fact the man has been requesting her to try to assist him, acknowledging with a note of displeasure that you tolerate her presence more than his own.

Machi Komacine

🪡​As much bickering as the two of you have going on Machi has always seen you as someone very precious to her. Whenever she had nothing to do she would seek you out. The both of you had no phones to call each other or no other way to pass messages back and forth but you always found her anyways when she was alone and wasn't involved in any troupe activities. Even Machi doesn't know the full extent of your powers but at this rate she has accepted that nothing will surprise her anymore so she is the only one who isn't left in awe when you revive not one but two dead people, merely muttering that such a bullshit power could really only belong to you. Your younger sister knows that you aren't a big fan of helping other people or getting involved with her other family and it took her quite a lot of convincing and the ominous promise that she gave you that she would fulfill you a favor for each thing you do to help her and the troupe. She owes you three favors now but you do not tell her what you will ask of her later on and silently she dreads what humiliating things you will ask of her to do.

🪡​Even if you are the strongest Nen user currently alive, Machi worries about your health. She knows that you are quite lazy and that your diet isn't the healthiest so now that you reside for an unknown time in the spider hideout she sees it through that you receive proper meals instead of devouring fast food or unhealthy snacks. She cooks for you and insists you to eat it even if she has to hold a glaring match with you. People like Nobunaga and Pakunoda note that Machi has never looked quite as lively now that you are around and it amuses them to see her getting so easily worked up as she gets into proper sibling fights with you because you refuse to eat the meals she has served you as if you were a little child. Machi has always been sharp though and she realises with a growing unease how much interest you seem to receive from pretty much everyone around you and it comes to her as no surprise when even Chrollo approaches her and asks her if she knows of a way to convince you to join as her loyalty seems to get tested now that she has finally brought you to meet the Phantom Troupe.

Uvogin

🫀​Uvogin, upon initially being revived, nearly tries to crush your head. He accidentally knocks your glasses off and as you meet his eyes you petrify him. This major accident is one of the main reasons why Feitan initially antagonises you so much even as Machi steps in and protects you, informing him that this is a power you can't control which is why you always wear glasses to not accidentally turn everyone you look into the eyes to stone. You joke 24 hours later when the effect of your powers finally wears off that at least Uvogin seems to have calmed down. Soon it turns out for you that perhaps you should have just tried to petrify him for a longer time as Uvogin's interest in you is immense. He knows no personal boundaries, his hygiene is terrible and he is way too touchy and friendly with you as if the both of you are long lost buddies. As soon as he swings an arm around your shoulder and gets all chummy with you, you always turn around to search for Machi in a silent plead for help as his strong body odor assaults your nose.

🫀​There is only one time where you caved in to have an arm wresting match with him out of sheer desperation to get away from him and to take a shower. Your super strength is one of your abilities that you have arguably the least control over though and your drawn out despair to get away from Uvogin at this rate is so big that you by accident break the table, his arm as well as a good portion of the ground beneath you. Uvogin is not in the least offended though as he gives you a boisterous laugh, pats your back with his not broken arm as he speaks that he didn't expect anything less from you. As soon as Uvogin spots you anywhere he immediately greets you whilst you visibly flinch, asks you if you want a few cans of beer before flopping down next to you and shoving a few cans into your arms, completely oblivious to how awkwardly stiff you have gotten next to him as he asks you with a grin if you perhaps have a few embarrassing tales of Machi you could share with him as the pink-haired woman is usually always so cold and distant.

Nobunaga Hazama

🗡Nobunaga is by far one of the most laid-back members and whilst he understands where Feitan's wariness comes from he has also always been more logical in his approach as he understands that you are the best as well as safest option for the troupe. He trusts Machi after all to keep you in check. Similiar to Pakunoda he feels like he has to express his gratitude as he knows that no one requested of you to revive two members who had been killed in Yorknew City as the only thing asked of you was to exorcise the Nen the chain user had used on Chrollo. Due to his more quiet and lax demeanor he is able to spend more time with you than some other members who you downright seem to flee from as soon as you sense their presence. It is somewhat laughable when he sometimes observes you quietly from the sidelines. For someone who is as powerful as you are it is quite nice to see that you haven't let the power get to your head and he is especially delighted when he sees how Machi and you start properly arguing like any good siblings do and over the silliest things as well.

🗡He is quite lucid of his own feelings as well as the feelings many other spiders seem to develop for you. It is when he even realises that Chrollo seems to have developed a longing for you that he finds himself stepping back a bit. He knows that you aren't the most social person and that all the chaos that slowly starts to unravel due to everyone's growing obsession may tire you out so he takes a similar position as Pakunoda in it all to be an anchor for you in the brewing storm. He is mindful and never pushy with you which seems to work as you often seek shelter with either him or Pakunoda to escape from the mess in the making, a deep sigh escaping you as soon as you are alone with the both of them. He takes pride in that though even if he does feel a sense of guilt born out of loyalty and trust as he knows that other members and even Chrollo to an extent envy him for the security you feel around him. At the same time he also knows that you could easily use your Nen for all kind of things and actually consciously hold back from lashing out to not sadden your sister and he knows better than to test your patience.

Franklin Bordeau

🧟​Similar to Feitan Franklin is initially filled with distrust when you arrive in their hideout, his tall figure always looming behind you as he is prepared to pierce you with multiple bullets should you even attempt to try anything funny. He's not quite as hostile as their most sadistic member though as he does acknowledge you for the things that you ultimately end up doing for the troupe. You not only exorcise the Nen of the chain user but you also revive two of their members and whilst he still wouldn't see you as an ally he at least doesn't look like he is about to fill you with bullet holes as soon as you take a wrong breath. Partially this is a simple result of having seen only a fraction of your power as Franklin has started to wonder how much he alone could do against you to begin with as your full abilities remain a secret. He does attempt to interogate Machi about your true powers, even threatens her for a bit only to realise that she is telling the truth when she admits that not even she knows the full extent of your Nen.

🧟​He watches with growing worry how you seemingly bewitch other members of the troupe who grow borderline obsessed with you and he does consider ambushing you without your knowledge without you being aware of it but the problem is that you are so rarely left alone at all. What he doesn't expect though is for you to seek him out willingly as you at this rate take all of his hostility over the minsfuck that is the obsession of the other members. It is quite rude, the way you lament over their behavior and don't even spare complaining about Chrollo but on the other hand even Franklin has to admit that they have been acting off around you recently. Multiple chances to try to attack you present themselves as you seem to deem Franklin as a safe person yet Franklin soon forgets about those plans as the disease called obsession slowly catches up to him as well. Instead new ideas start filling his head as he wonders what would be the best way to keep you with the troupe and to not have you disppear. He shares the same mindset as Feitan though. They're thieves and thieves steal what they want to have with brains and force.

Kortopi

▫️​Kortopi has been quite fascinated with you ever since it was revealed so many years ago that you are in fact Machi's older brother. He's always been curious what kind of person the brother of Machi would be and he is inwardly quite giddy when it is decided that you will travel to their current hideout and assist them for a while. As soon as you do arrive and showcase what is only a little of your real power he is quite amazed and desperately wants to get a chance to talk with you yet all of this is made quite complicated as soon as all other members start swarming around you. It is at one point no secret that almost all members of the Phantom Troupe have gained some sort of obsession with you and he feels left out and by extension also starts feeling somewhat self-conscious. After all from a physical aspect he is the weakest of all the current members and it is when he sees you breaking the arm of Uvogin during an arm restling match that he starts wondering if he so far has been overlooked by you because you only spare time for members who are stronger as you are without a doubt the strongest person in this hideout.

▫️​Kortopi starts stalking you excessively as he doesn't seem to get his chance as you are either in the company of other members or magically disappear when you are fed up and need some desperate time to yourself. He feels depressed and increasingly more insecure until he one day seems to struck gold as he catches you outside the hideout, lying on the ground with your eyes closed. He's always hoped to meet you whilst you were alone but now that it has happened he doesn't even know what he is supposed to say. It is you who beckons him closer as soon as you notice that he stands there as if someone has pressed the pause button, invite him over since you haven't really seen him before. You remain somewhat harsh and cold, really reminding him whose older brother you are, but you are nicer to him than to some other members and that is the confidence boost he needs to approach you from that day on without worries even when you are already in company of other spiders.

Hisoka Morow

🃏​Hisoka has regretted few things as much as leaving the Phantom Troupe after the Yorknew City incident when he finds out that Machi has called her older brother to help the troupe. He has always wanted to fight Chrollo which is one of the reasons why he joined the spiders in the first place but an even bigger desire of his has been to find out where he could find you only to be severely disappointed when finding out that Machi didn't know where you were either and that she didn't have an established system through which she could contact you. He did consider getting her into danger in hopes that you would come to rescue her but Machi has always been careful and smart around him. He didn't consider that you would come even though Machi herself isn't in danger as he thought you only cared about her yet Machi seems to have persuaded you into doing it this once. He stalks the traces of the Phantom Troupe and sneaks close to their hideout, trying to detect you. He finds you when you are all by yourself as you merely desired solitude for a while only to sense Hisoka's bloodlust. He attacks on sight only for you to turn him into stone, startled by yet another weirdo.

🃏​The troupe has never really trusted him but as soon as they discover that the clown has his eyes on you they become even more hostile. It is quite amusing for Hisoka to see all of them wanting to shield and protect you from him and under normal circumstances he would have enjoyed the idea of fighting them as well. Unfortunately they are now mere sidequests as he desperately wants his fight with you. He does apologise later on to you about his unsavoury first introduction though the thrilled gleam that he is barely able to conceal is something you take notice of. You have no interest or desire to give in to his wishes though, refuse to show him the true extent of your Nen abilities and it is sweet agony to Hisoka as you are basically his wet dream with your powers. He desperately needs you to give him a taste of your strength and to achieve his desires he will play sly and merciless. Goultard's "reincarnations"

In the World of Twelve, we know of many different characters who have reincarnations. Whether they have 9 lives and keep their memories with every reincarnation like ecaflip's sons, or whether they are immortal but lose their memories at every rebirth like most eliatropes and dragons of the council.

Goultard is sort of an anomaly. Although he calls this process "reincarnation", there is no rebirth involved.

Goultard : We were friends in one of my reincarnations, and i remember i had a lot of fun with you.

We know Goultard has died before. Probably many times. But (as far as i'm aware) we only know of two specific times. One in the Dofus manga and one in Wakfu.

When goultard dies, his body simply... stays dead, until it has the time to regenerate. Goultard uses a specific word to speak of this regeneration : "recompose" himself. As in the opposite of "decompose", "putting himself back together". And he can apparently also absorb things inside him during this process???

Goultard : I must have accidentally absorbed you when I recomposed myself

In volume 5, we see Goultard die, or more accurately, we see Vald die, since at this time Vald is the one controlling the body that they share.

Vald was at the wrong place at the wrong time, got caught in a scheme that didn't concern him, and paid the price anyway. He was drugged, and his body cut in two at the waist.

Vald : No... Not... like this... I can't die... like... this...

Shortly after, the body has come back together, and Goultard makes his first appearance.

Goultard : Unfortunately for you, the plan wasn't perfect! / Homar's minion : What? Who the hell are you? / Goultard : My name is Goultard, little maggot, behold my darkness...

Goultard : ... For it is the last thing you will ever see.

I have SO MUCH to say about the way Gou's introduced in the manga but that's for another post.

Note : Goultard later "survives" similar or worse injuries. Since Vlad and Vald are said to be less powerful than Gou, i think we can imagine they're also less resistent to injuries than he is. He gets brutally impaled on the Cornu's fist in volume 17, but stays conscious and keeps trying to fight even with a giant hole in his abdomen.

Cornu Mollu : I have to admit you're taking a long time to die, it commands respect.

Not dying means his body has a harder time regenerating by itself, and he requires medical attention to recover. (Arty needs it too they both got demolished in that fight)

In Wakfu s01e22 Rubilax, we learn that Goultard is dead when Tristepin visits his tomb and starts to talk about what his life has been like since they parted ways.

I assume Goultard dying was the very reason they parted ways and Tristepin started adventuring on hiw own.

We have no clue what killed Goultard or for how much time he's been dead. But Tristepin is still young, and i dont think he's been on his own (with Rubi) for very long. I'd say two years at MOST.

But Goultard wakes up and says, although he was dead, he's not anymore, so really, there's no reason to worry or even ask. And they never mention it again after that.

I've seen multiple people say Goultard faked his death. I would tell them to rewatch the episode because this really does not look fake to me.

Goultard coming back from the dead exactly at the moment tristepin needed him is not a coincidence, to me it shows that goultard's "reincarnation" is at least partly a conscious decision. He could have simply stayed dead but decided otherwise.

In the Dofus manga special-issue Les Shushus de Rushu, while he is enchained and imprisoned, we can see that Goultard can sleep for years on end, entering a sort of hibernation/meditation.

Kiki : When are you going to wake up and take care of your wives? / Azra : You've been sleeping for years, it's time to get up! Wake up Goultard!

I think him dying is similar to this. To him, choosing to stay dead instead of regenerating and waking up is like staying in bed and oversleeping.

In volume 27, Goultard himself implies he doesn't know if he can die permanently.

Goultard : First of all, nobody knocked me out.... We don't even know if that's possible.

When he's dead, does his spirit go where all other spirits go when they die? No way to know. But my guess would be to say no. Since he laughed hearing Tristepin's stories, it means even dead he's somewhat conscious of what's going on around him. Maybe like a ghost?

Is he, in a way, like a walking corpse, already dead but kept alive by magic? This feels kind of puella magi madoka magica to me, but I obviously can't explain what i mean without majorly spoiling puella magi madoka magica.

That update was SO GOOD- I immediately went to your blog the minute I saw it LMAO (sorry for the like spam)

WARS WARS WARS!!!! HE IS SO PRECIOUS HERE- I love how we get to see a bit of his perspective on the dungeons vs battleground, and how respectful he is. He could’ve called it immoral to loot ruins/temples, but instead he highlights how they went “under Ganon’s snout” and were stealthy and resourceful. In comparison he was constantly in the limelight in his Hyrule, no where to hide or lie low someplace fortified like a temple. He doesn’t discredit their methods, just simply points out the battlefield also had its advantages. He’s a good mans!!!!!

I really hope we get to hear more about his experiences though, both for his character but to also see how the others take it as well. How different it must’ve been for him, what it must’ve been like to constantly be fighting day in and day out, and not just exploring like we often see in other games, how intimidating it must’ve felt for Wars to be the first anomaly in the cycle in quite some time (if he knew of any past legends).

Also!! Do u think there might be some doubts towards Wars from the chain because of this? We saw how Twi and Four (and maybe one more?) were questioning to each other how unusual it was for a warrior of Hyrule to not do a dungeon, and how he may not know certain monsters. That worries me on how that could reflect their view of Warriors. Will they start to doubt his strategies? Will they waste time arguing if they think he hasn’t fought a certain monster? While I don’t think they won’t trust him, I can definitely see some concerns sprouting about what he, and by extension the rest of the chain, truly know about other monsters.

I also like how Time didn’t react negatively at Wars’ statement, beyond just an odd look. It goes to show that it isn’t an issue for him because he’s seen Wars’ skills and trusts that even if he has different experiences, he’s still valuable and knowledgeable. Also- with Wars being right behind Time and sorta backing each other up, I think we’re starting to see more of co-leader/second in command Warriors and I LOVE THAT- PLS PLS MORE CO-LEADER WARS PLS!!!!!

Anyway- thems be my crazy thoughts on the update. I hope this means that Wars can finally get some proper recognition and love as we learn about him through the comic!!!!

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH, he’s gonna hate the dungeons so much i think… Like I think he’ll like the puzzles and such, but I don’t think he’ll appreciate how cramped everything is or how monsters can drop from the ceilings like that. But yes I also love how he doesn’t like, call their dungeons stupid or anything he’s just kinda like “Am i the weird one for not willingly walking into a death trap- apparently”

Personally, I don’t think they’ll necessarily DOUBT him because of his lack of dungeon experience. They’ve seen how fully capable is, how strong and reliable he is, he knows what he’s doing and he’s a strategist and THEY know all that too. However, I can absolutely see him suggesting they do something in the dungeon and everyone else going “you NEVER do that first in a dungeon oh my god??” because he just doesn’t know how dungeons work. I think they might look out for him (?) more, in the sense that he’s out of his element. He has a leader personality, and he’s going to have to let the more experienced people in the group choose what to do in the dungeon and help figure out puzzles or look for hidden hallways and treasure and such, cos he’s not really used to doing that kinda stuff. I don’t think the others will doubt his abilities, I guess I just think they’re more in shock that he’s just never done that?? And it’s something they’ll just be consciously aware of (sorry if that didn’t make sense my brain is mush and my head hurts 🥺)

Oooohhh more fics involving Gwen, that's for sure. When she's written right she's one of the strongest, most relatable characters imo, 'cause all she wants is for the world to be right and just and kind and everything wants to prove her wrong, but she won't back down from her views. I would also adore more Elyan, just in general. And complete rewrites of the show 'cause the one I'm reading right now is so good I might do one as well. Also modern au's where they're all like secret badass spies or smth, 'cause those are so fucking cool (i am accepting fic recs for ALL of this, please feed me y'all)

24: Everyone knows that fandom doesn’t like uther but what are your feelings about gaius?

I think 1) we need more concrete info about how he was when he was younger, but 2) i think he is severely complicated and wanted what was best of merlin and morgana, but failed the two while also giving them a ton of love. With morgana, he just didnt want her to pursue her power lest she become uther's next victim, cuz gaius cares for the pendragon siblings like his own. With merlin, he was just trying his best with his overpowered nephew, who alos has a destiny regarding his people's genocide's son, and he just doesn't know what to do half the time, kinda like merlin. I didnt like how he lied to merlin n morgana, how he gaslit her and how he made merlin hide and become so anxious abt his magic (and we see what that looks like season 5), but i get it. I really get it. I dont know what i wouldve done if one wrong move could mean the death of two kids he considers his own. I bet he was scared all the time and hated himself for it.

he's a teacher of sorts; i like the idea that he's kinda collecting magical anomalies and teaching them how to understand their powers and being, since he knows what its like to be afraid of urself, so he's a personal magic teacher. I also rly like my magic elementary school au, since its merlin teaching magic to a bunch of kids, which is adorable

he has officially one cat, a black one called Midnight, that accidentally became immortal along the way and now hes severally attached. I say officially since hes also friends with any other animal that he might come across and they recognise him if he passes them again. disney princess fr

he's figured out his gender and he can turn into a woman if he wants; she looks exactly like merlin, same height, same weight n muscles, the hair is longer cuz merlin likes it that way and her voice is deep and gorgeous

his favourite weapon is a staff or any long distance fighting weapon of the sort; also he looks cool as fuck fighting with it, but thats just a bonus

30: Side character death that makes you the maddest?

Elyan. There was, quite literally, no need for it. I was gonna say Lancelot, since we did not get enough of him, but his death made sense for his character. Elyan? What the fuck was that? It was just for pain and nothing else. What did it add to the story if not just a sad funeral scene and thats it? It just felt like they wanted him gone n found a way, and that pisses me off. I feel like him saving gwen and living would've given such a complex situation when she turns evil, 'cause what if she "confides" more n more in her brother, creating a rift between arthur n elyan, which then creates a rift between arthur n the knights, which would just isolate him further n make him suffer, which is what morgana wanted!! we couldve had protective brother elyan! I think i just wanted more knights in general.

Trey stood outside Mephistopheles, the door open.  Charon appeared in the doorway “Boy, come inside, you will catch your death”

Trey turned and looked at her, appreciating Charon's care w/ a slight smile.  At least put on your jacket, she tossed his Black & white checked sleeved coat out the door. Trey caught it, gave her a nod and put it on, appreciating the warmth from the cool air.

Charon stayed in the doorway, he was not sure whether she was watching over him or looking for the others. 

From behind, he heard her speak, “There” .  He saw them too, a staggered line of Sinners approaching the bus.  Each one looking bedraggled & beaten down.  One by one they slowly pushed passed by Trey, not saying a word to him.  Ryoshu was the only one who stopped w/ Gregor not far behind.  She stood face to face w/ Trey, he was hoping she would say something about Yuri, like, “dont worry kid, shes just cleaning up” or “hey, Yuri will be here in a Moment, she will appreciate you waiting up”.  Instead, Ryoshu stared him straight in the eyes, exhaled her spent cigarette smoke causing Trey to cough and close his his now stinging eyes.  When he opened them, Gregor was a few feet away looking at him.  He had in his left hand a gas mask.   Gregor looked down at it and back at Trey.  Then walked to the front of the bus.  Trey craned his neck one last time, standing on his toes, to see if Yuri was coming.  Then stepped quickly to the left to see what Gregor was doing.  Gregor stood at the front of Mephistopheles, he wiped away some bits of flesh, grime and blood, took the gas mask and wedged it into the grill. Gave it a slight tug to ensure it was solidly in place.  Stepped back, took a drag of his cigarette, exhaled and stood quietly for a few seconds.   Trey instinctively took off his hat and held it to his chest.  His eyes caught some movement at the drivers window.  Looking out was his 3 friends, Deuce, Cater and behind them Yuu.  Charon then appeared to their left w/ her fingers pinching Aces left ear. She held him in place at the window.  Ace winced until catching Treys eye.  Then his demeanor changed and he gave a solemn nod.  The other 3 did as well.

Trey saw Charon mouth the words “come in for tea”.  Gregor put his arm around the teens shoulder, partly a hardy slap and the other comfort as they walked in the bus together.  Sinclair stood at the door way, reached his hand out for Trey and helped him into the bus.  He was the only fixer to speek since they arrived “losing a friend is never easy”.

Charon hummed as she made tea, the 4 boys sat together at the small table by the front of the bus.  Gregor and Sinclair joined the other fixers further back.  Each one appearing to be in their own little world.  Even the strange clock face one was oddly still.  Faust and Virgil sat across from Dante and began to speak in hushed voices.  

Treys attention turned to Yuu as she leaned across the table and started to speak to him.  

Yuu’s hair was pulled back tight. Her strange uniform a bit too big for her small frame, as much as Trey, Cater, Ace and Deuce were an anomaly in this strange land, Yuu stood out the most.  She appeared more stoic and a wisdom appeared that was not there in house ramshackle.  She almost seemed at ease here, well, aside from the fainting after the Heathcliff incident, I mean, who would not after that permanent mental image was burned in your brain.

It was after they came too, thats when he saw a change in Yuu.  A confidence appeared, and she seemed to know this place or maybe, a recognition was slowly dawning like lost memories.  No one ever really figured her out but Trey felt that there was more to her.  She was from many places, not just the earth she spoke of, but this place too and maybe others.

Yuu took his hand and said quietly, “I can bring Yuri back but not here, I am the progenitor of many worlds, but not this one. The rules here are not mine.  I am merely a guest.  But, rest assured, you will see your friend again, maybe she will take my place at Ramshackle” and at that, Yuu winked and gave a wry smile.  Then sat back to accept the tea that Charon just brought over. Ace leaned over and said quietly to Trey “what was that all about, she lost her marbles?”.   Trey Shrugged, he did not know, but he thought that maybe Yuu did know something, and perhaps she did know magic, just differently than he did.  Deuce who was facing the sinners at the back of the bus said “Now that Yuri is gone, what are we going to do about them” as he nodded in that direction.  Trey turned to look, Ryoshu and Heathcliff were both sitting beside each other, one smoking a cigarette and the other cleaning his bat.  Trey turned back to his friend, “Yuri prepared us well these past few weeks”.  He held up his right hand and snapped his fingers, a crackle of blue flame appeared and disappeared.  Ace, Deuce and Cater snapped their fingers in unison, magic sparking at their fingertips.  Yuu held up a pen and her journal in solidarity, and says “Off with their heads”.1

TW: discussion of cub injuries, discussion of the possibility of cub death

just got an ask about the situation with Grazer's smaller cub, so i figured i should give another update on my thoughts about the situation. to be clear, i only know as much as anyone else, and i am not an expert.

for the record, i am using he/him for this cub because a visitor to the falls claims to have seen evidence of this cub being male, but this could change because it is hard to accurately sex young bears.

we dont know a lot about whats going on with grazer's smaller cub. what we do know is that:

- the injured cub is able to move around a bit on his back legs, and did appear on the riffles cam briefly a few days ago

- grazer has not been seen nursing the injured cub

- the injured cub has been seen eating grass and drinking water

- grazer has primarily been seen with the non-injured cub at the falls

- the injured cub has primarily been staying near an area off camera that has an abnormally high number of humans

- grazer and the non injured cub have been seen visiting that area repeatedly and continuously checking in on the injured cub

honestly, this is just not a lot of information to go on. we see a very small slice of these bear's lives. for example, there is still a possibility that grazer is nursing the injured cub -- just because we haven't seen it does not mean it isn't happening -- but also, we haven't seen it, so it might not be happening. there is just no way to know. to give a historical example, when 503 Cubadult was first emancipated by his biomom at 1.5 years old, he was subsequently adopted by 435 Holly -- but i'm pretty sure we didn't see him nurse from Holly until about a month after he was adopted. we just do not, and cannot, see everything, even if we wish we could.

we know the cub can walk a bit on his hind legs, but not very well. him staying away from the falls, and away from grazer while she fishes, is very expected in this situation regardless of whether or not she is caring for him. she has trouble fishing anywhere else, and he can't move very well anyways, which means he cant travel much and he is unsafe at the falls. if she's caring for him still, she needs to fish enough to feed both of her cubs, and that means her fishing the falls area while he stays somewhere safer. the place he has been around has a lot of people coming and going, and as a result other bears, especially big dominant boars, avoid it. so it is probably the safest place for the cub to be right now.

basically, we don't know what is happening. this cub might pull through -- we've seen some miracles on these bear cams -- or he might not. we just will not know until we know. brown bears, even COY, are tougher than we think they are. we've believed that cubs had died only for them to show up the next year with their mom. we've seen miraculous recoveries from horrific injuries, even with cubs. But, also, previous research at katmai national park has shown that cubs in the region have around a 34% chance of surviving their first year. the fact that grazer has never, to our knowledge, lost a cub before is a wild statistical anomaly.

So....yeah. this could really go either way. i wouldn't be surprised, honestly, if we don't find out what's happened to this cub until next season. if his injuries are anything similar to the injury 89 Backpack had as a yearling (but two paws compared to Backpack's one), then he might be injured for the rest of the season, and if thats the case, we might not see him for the rest of the season, even if he does survive this. We won't know until we know. and we might not know for a while.

Since Loki and Spiderman canonically crossed paths with each other in the comics, I would wonder what would happen if either Miles, Gwen, Miguel, or any of the Spiderband would do if they crossed paths with the god of mischief. Miguel certainly wouldn’t like him, that’s for sure.

Ok so I am unfamiliar with Loki's character outside of the MCU, so I''ll have to answer this based on that knowledge. (Although perhaps that IS what you're looking for, lol) I dont believe that the MCU is connected to the Spider-Verse trilogy in any way, although I do think there are other Marvel characters that do exist in the Spiderverse, they'd just be different iterations from the MCU, but for simplicity's sake we'll just attach MCU's incarnation of Loki to the mix with cheap heavy duty scotch tape (not very sticky, trust me!). Now I'm not suuuper invested in Loki as a character, but I think I remember enough.

I can see Loki's crossing paths with these guys as an anomaly who our guys gotta nab and send back. Knowing our god of mischief, Loki aint havin' that, cuz now he wants to rule whatever dimension he's been yeeted to for the funz! But he'd be a real pain to nab, he can shapeshift, he can...(struggling to remember) mind control right?

But yeah I dont think I need to state how much Miguel would have ZERO tolerance for this guy. Dealing with Loki would be like, fighting a Mysterio, except without the reality-bending visions that manifest your deepest inner demons and unresolved trauma, so you don't even get the benefit of an intense yet healthy session of character development. Shockin' sucks.

Miles probably is the one giving him a run for his money in combat. He can turn invisible, he has like, electric powers. And one of Miles' strengths as a Spider has been shown to us time and time again to be outsmarting his opponents, so I bet he's gonna find a mind game to play on this out of touch ancient god. Miles thinks the shapeshifting is a cool power though. Transforming at will could make the double-life thing a whole lot easier. Totally Jealous. Honestly, Miles would be asking Loki a lot of questions like how his powers work, any convenient ways they can be used, and like, since he's a Norse god, maybe try asking him some mythology questions for his upcoming exam on Homer's Odyssey.

Gwen's making so many Shakespeare in The Park jokes, making fun of his outfit. These are pretty standard Spider-Man quips, you'll get used to it. Also I think she'd have MANY questions for him about that horse thing. She's begging everyone to be careful not to damage Loki's helmet in the battle because she 100% wants to keep it when they're done. The band manages to defeat him without breaking the helmet thank god, but then Miguel eyerolls at her request and sends Loki back to his dimension without letting her nab it and she is DEVASTATED. But then Miles surprises her the next day with, lo and behold, Loki helmet! (he and Hobie snuck over to Loki's home dimension after he'd been sent back and ripped it right off him ^^)

Romeo is so pathetic (affectionately) I can't take any of his threats seriously lmao.

He is just so... all bark, no bite, it makes me wanna be mean to him sooo bad. He will try to make money from almost anything, Taiga suggest butchering and selling Ritsu and he backs off. He chases Kaito with his shotgun... filled with nothing but smoke bombs, nothing (ghoul)damaging. His underlings dont care when he threatents to shove one of them under a truck for insurance.

Now, the nsfw thoughts. He is sounds just so whiny, it brings the sadist in me out. Like, he gives me the vibes that he would complain endlessly in bed. That its too slow, too fast, too little, too much... Tying him up and overstimulating him until he stops complaining and cries... He feels too prideful to beg, but one can dream.

Like, I get why Taiga likes him so much, he is just so biteable, probably sobs so prettily too.

I GET WHY YOU WOULD THINK THAT HIS THREATS ARE EMPTY maybe it's just my wishful thinking but i'd like him to be a threat lol. Like we know he has no problem locking up Kaito, so we know the 'strip you and put you in a cage' threat is legitimate. And surely people wouldn't be so loyal to him if he was all talk--although they may also be loyal because he runs the casino. And he can't really shoot you close range because his sniper is a glorified grenade launcher because, in his own words, he shoots bombs, not bullets. Like yeah he only brought smoke bombs that day--he wasn't going on a mission so why bring actual explosive rounds or something useful? And according to Taiga he does actually fire off his gun all the time, and it can't possibly only ever have smoke bombs in it.

Although since he ains to capture his targets alive they presumably aren't explosives that'll kill you. . .or at least they won't kill anomalies. Humans, however, are fragile.

But he hates getting his hands dirty--Taiga and their underlings are responsible for the hardcore messy stuff, he's content to snipe from the back and lead from the shadows. And even then he cringes away from when something bloody has to be done--just seeing Taiga kill and eat an anomaly made him cringe. On the other hand, there's a chance he doesn't want Taiga to go gutting anybody because they're already on probation and he knows about Article 78. The last thing he needs is for Taiga(or both of them!) to get imprisoned to make them money--there are other ways. No need to go to extremes before they have to.

And I think the Sinostra students did care about the threat! That's why the pc said they figured the casino would be open as usual--because everyone started working harder lol

He is an absolute perfectionist and he wants things just how he wants them. And he will complain all throughout unless it's perfect. Ignore him, defy him, keep his mouth busy however you want, mock him--he'll complain when it's over too. About your performance, about being in pain or discomfort, about marks and mess. You really can't escape hearing him bitch and moan unless you've completely worn him out. And even then he might still have a few gasps and whines for you unless he is totally drained.

Unlike Taiga I don't think he's particularly masochistic but. . .I think he could get into it. As long as you have anomalous medicine on hand to clear up any bruises and aches you give him. Every single time he says "just this once" but he still lets you do it again and again. . . .

morgan/knife: idk these guys started as spiderverse ocs but then i remembered i dont rly care about spiderman. theyre on earth after an alien corpse drifted into orbit and the research trips to and from it brought all kinds of freaky diseases to earth and caused something like an apocalypse (altho it also kickstarted space travel). knife was a prototype soldier who escaped the lab in his preteens and met morgan on the road. theyve been travelling together for 8+ years idk knife pair-bonded with morgan so make of that wjhat you will

leo/jinx: work at private anomaly control company. that doodle is really bad. leo has a deal with a faustian anomaly for power and jinx (who i kinda wanna rename) basically just weakly shocks anything he touches. and they kiss. badly ‼️

nettle: (the doodle is from when these were ocs in the sims theyre like. a lot different now) host to parasitic anomalous plant. hes nervous all the time. adoptive brother of end and dating alora. his dad got a government job in the anomaly control sector after nettle was parasitized as a child and taken into govt custody

alora: shes very normal actually. supportive parents and loving household. no special abilities, joined wanting to help people, eventually becomes disillusioned to the reality of anomaly control, especially as a government agency

end: self-proclaimed demon of the void. can eradicate up to about 3 square feet of matter at a time. they dont get along well with people but hit it off with most animals immediately, except dogs. nettle's dad basically adopted them after they met

the homosword (other guy not pictured): ancient weapon with a kind of sentient computer in it (i really gotta redesign the sword i dont rly like it anymore). other dude is a type of human that can both endure very high temps and can get really hot with emotions (to the point of possibly burning to death when something like grief or rage is experienced), lives in what is essentially a country-sized junkyard pretty much constantly on fire with his nomadic people (avoiding the Great Firestorm). finds the sword and uhammmmmm ... adventure (and gay love.......)

daisy: anomalous humanoid creature. hes carnivorous and used by an organized crime group to dispose of bodies. not very well taken care of. he might end up as a side character but i like him a lot. older oc, new doodle so u can see him

below the cut is basic facts of the opal and facts on spencer, all i really did was rewrite the amulet itself and just gave it to an existing oc of mine. i do not care what anyone else does so long as y'all respectful to eachother and dont incite bullying or harassment about it.

so yeah, i decided to rework my version of 963 (amulet) a little, its still the same anomaly idea i have where it heals wounds and keeps the host that's bonded to it alive without the possession bs. quick facts:

its an opal!! Specifically a black opal, only really found in australia. When it 'heals' wounds it gains more color to it.

while its bonded to one host at any given time it can still heal those who aren't its host. just it doesn't grant the person immortality; and at most can heal most surface level / first and second layer of skin. Unlike healing host: it cannot heal deeper wounds, loss of limbs etc. for others and doesnt grant immortality.

although it can prevent death and heal fatal wounds, in the situation where if the host isnt made contact with the opal in a time span (idk how long yet) it won't work. Old host will be fully dead and gone, and then opal will choose a new person who wears it next. as a big note: Opal can NOT and does NOT possess others. i am using host as a term for the 'main wearer' that it grants the main immortality aspect to.

depending how deep the wound is there are still scars.

i will work on actual scp file sort of thing for it but this is the basics. now, i also changed the current main wearer/host (idk right term) to be spencer kripke. a dear oc of mine, i felt it was a lot easier than coming up with a brand new oc with brand new lore. Spencer Kripke facts:

autsitic adhd, he does have ptsd due to being at the foundation but he copes well i think. a little paranoid and insomanic about it.

while he was given the Opal for whatever reason, he was already anomalous. he has no shadow, regardless of light type he cannot have one. shadows from other objects seem to 'pass through' him and appear behind him and a little disorted. yet he is still very visible and very tanigible.

panromantic greysexual, he/him mostly but doesnt mind the occainsional they/them as long as it isn't constant.

can play guitar, specifically the acoustic guitar. he is a fan of nirvana and Metallica and similar bands. he will talk non-stop about his interests!

in the foundation he is a senior researcher, he specializes more so in biological sciences but knows a bit about other stuff.

erm also he has a great uncle who is of the church of the broken god in the maxwellism group. thumbs up.

I've talked about romantic/sexual yandere Miguel being goaded on by an alternate of himself or another you, but, I'm also thinking about platonic yandere parental/guardian Miguel getting a little 'push' to realize he wants you to play a more central role in his life, either from being in competition with an alternate of his or outright being told by his alternate that it's what he should do

You're just in the Spider Society minding your own business and you see Miguel talking to, Another Miguel, but this one has glasses or a beauty mark or some distinguishing feature. The two of them are discussing anomalies and "the fate of the multiverse" and other such serious topics when you stroll by, giving a wave and such as hello when the second Miguel actually pauses their conversation to greet you, actually being, well, much like YOUR Miguel with his occasional sarcastic snark but, friendlier, introducing himself to you, shaking your hand, asking you questions like how old you are, how long have you been a Spider, etc, amd you're ready to start cracking jokes about how, maybe you'll start spending time with this new Miguel instead since 'yours' is suddenly so grumpy, when. Oh dear, the awkward thing happens. Here comes the other you, bounding right up to the other Miguel, "Papá, there you are 🥰 this place is like a maze and I got lost looking for you, dont leave me behind again 🥺"

Both you and Miguel are watching your alternates interact, actually silently internally in some weird sort of agreement with "this is kind of weird but also oddly wholesome... what the fuck, why do I want what they have..." but it's just. It's also just a little weird. You're literally watching another you cuddle up to another version of your boss, calling the man their dad, acting like they're legitimately his child, with the other man actually being genuinely caring and considerate back. Eventually in private Dad!Miguel asks Miguel about his relationship with you and is basically met with "what relationship. That's just my coworker" as Dad!Miguel rolls his eyes at his emotionally constipated alternate who's apparently going to need a little encouragement

Part of me is like, what if some bullshit happens like, Dad!Miguel is all "oh yeah well if you have such a handle on things and think they can take care of themself without any support or guidance, what are they doing right now" and Miguel is all huffy and all FINE LETS SEE, IM SURE THEYRE FINE and goes to, use his monitors or whatever to spy on you and, you're having like a mental episode, a real crying session, some real boo hoo sobbing and maybe even cutting yourself as Miguel is "coincidentally" having an epiphany that, hey, maybe you DO need an extra mentor figure in your life... maybe he can... ask you about your day and stuff? Dad!Miguel over here ready to rip his hair out as he realizes your Miguel went through all the second universe stuff and is now an emotionally bottled mess and, in a way needs you as much as you need him

Whether to encourage his alternate or help you since you resemble 'his child', despite all awkward differences, Dad!Miguel sees that you're lonely and struggling and, kinda partially adopts you, becoming something of a mentor, checking in on you, scolding you to est something when his advanced hearing picks up on your stomach growling, making small talk, little things like that, but routinely, becoming a bit of a fixture in your life

Months down the line your Miguel is minding his own business having a pretty ok day and he rounds the corner and. It's Dad! Miguel, convincing you to let him comb your hair because you ran out of the house without doing anything with it first and you've been kind of stressed and tired. Miguel just starting to kind of feel what can only be identified as envy and jealousy as he watches Dad!Miguel spending time with you, "so, are you graduated by now? My child (the other you) is still in university right now" "oh no, I'm not really doing college" "what, but you're so smart! I think you can do anything you put your mind to--"

Miguel turns his back and next time he turns around, Dad!Miguel is getting you gifts for your birthday and it turns out he regularly visits you. The original man's strolling through the lobby and suddenly he sees you with his alternate that he's really starting to hate and, are you speaking Spanish? Since when did you learn Spanish? Did he TEACH you? Have you been spending so much time together that the other him even had that opportunity?

He's just standing there watching Dad!Miguel like, braid your hair or help clean your glasses or do something that's like, platonic but personal, caring, affectionate, and suddenly your Miguel is having the realization, "did this bitch just steal you right under my nose. Did he just baby code MY baby 😤"

Miguel overhears you happily call his alternate Tío and, that's it, he gets so mad he confronts the other him about it in private basically then and there, the other man basically just like "well clearly YOU weren't giving them the support they needed--" and proceeding to give advice on how to get close to you, things you're stressed about and struggling with, things you were too shy and scared to open up about to the original Miguel or anyone who isn't a trusted friend

An alternate version of the YouTwo disaster where YouTwo wants to steal your life because you "stole their dad" when Dad!Miguel spends time with you and they assume they're being replaced out of jealousy, or maybe he even outright wants you for himself, or maybe Dad!Miguel outright meets his unfortunate end in an unrelated villain thing and YouTwo comes to steal YOUR "dad". YouTwo who's more unhinged than ever because their Miguel kind of "broke them in" to be their loving little child and doesn't handle either being replaced or losing the only loved one and source of support they cared about

Of course this is to say, it would DEFINITELY be "unfortunate" if you and Dad!Miguel got so, so close and, then suddenly the man dies and is violently ripped from your life just when you're starting to heal and be happy again and, suddenly you're so heartbroken and vulnerable and, THIS is the moment when your Miguel finally steps up to the plate to truly take care of you amd fully assimilate into your life. You're breaking down sobbing, literally the kind of crying where you can't even stand, you just collapse, and, here he is to pick you up and hold you, embrace you, shoosh you gently and rub your back and let you cry while he helps you feel safe again. He's sorry he's late, but he's here now, so let Papá give you nice big hugs while you cry and then take you back home, ok? His home. Technically YOUR home now, that the two of you share. You'll get served all your favorite foods and made sure you're looked after and, when its time for bed and you get those violent nightmares and images of how your beloved Tío was killed right in front of you and can't manage to sleep, your Papá is there to help hold you and comfort you until you're finally softly snoring in his arms. he looks at you, how heartbroken and, in his eyes, helpless you are, and vows that if anyone ever tries to hurt, or wrong you, or some punk who doesn't deserve you tries to taint your purity, that he'll rip them apart like a wild animal

yknow its a hard line to dance, but i do love when people make the stans a bit mean at times in fics/art (hard line to dance, because its pretty easy to stray into ‘sounds like author just hates these two’ territory unfortunately)

it seems to me that ford has trouble with communication. he often cant tell when something he says could be hurtful to someone

(i say that because you can tell he really does care about his family and he does to try to make things up to them- ie, comforting dipper after the bill thing, praising mabel and letting her write an entry in the journal after the unicorn thing, actually trying to find ways to mend his relationship with stan in spite of everything)

stan is the type of guy to scare children and laugh about it. there is an entire episode dedicated to this. he nonchalantly insults people, hes unapologetically cocky, and, maybe most interestingly, he also seems to have trouble telling when something he said might have been hurtful

hes kinder towards his family/friends (note: kinder, he is definitely still mean to them at times. see: boss mabel, the bottomless pit, etc.) but he really just does not care at all about upsetting strangers. he delights in making people angry, at least, the facade he puts on does. and of course, this isnt an insult towards him, it…actually kinda makes sense when you think about his past. not that it made him that way necessarily, more that it sort of emphasized those traits i think

in a similar vein, i think at least part of the reason ford has difficulty interacting with people could be because of his time spent in the multiverse. it seems he doesnt really like having to interact with strangers (excluding most anomalies). in fact, the only time you see him doing that (that i can recall) is when hes talking to the government agents. otherwise he just sort of…doesnt acknowledge their existence at all. the only exceptions are the members of the zodiac, and he gets time beforehand to know most of them

anyway- when you take those two people and put them on a boat together, you get a really interesting (platonic) dynamic! these two guys who are aggressively protective over each other and who will both absolutely deck a stranger in the face

imagine a scenario where stans insulting some random stranger and the person throws an insult back just to get knocked out by ford whos absolutely not going to tolerate it (except from stan, who gets the equivalent of a slap on the wrist)

or imagine a scenario where someone notices fords extra fingers and theyre overreacting about them and it gets to be stans turn to fistfight someone

its fun to think about, but hard to pull off. oftentimes you get ‘ford is definitely egocentric and thats it’ instead of ‘ford struggles with communication/general human interaction and especially hates interaction with people he doesnt know’

oftentimes instead of ‘stan is unapologetically mean to a lot of people (and theres a good possibility that being homeless and having to live with filbrick emphasized this)’ you get ‘stan can be mean but hes not as bad as ford and also it doesnt actually count as being mean if its directed at ford’

and, of course, this isnt to say you have to change the way you write them, this is simply me saying i like seeing these two parts of them interacting with each other. and it ended up much longer than intended

if youre like me and youre afraid of depicting them as mean in any way because other people scare you, you dont have to write them that way! you should write your fics for you first and foremost and if you dont want to write them that way, you are in no way obligated to!

anyway- theres a lot more i could say about this subject, but i think this is long enough

(just a small bonus bit to say that living with filbrick + all the bullying he had to go through definitely affected ford just as much as stan. and that neither of their traumas are more important than the other)

nessie loch, short for vanessa lockheart. dont call her lockheart.

she was brought to the camp when she was young, about 10. she is one of the only campers who was willingly brought there by her parents who KNEW what the camp was. they just didnt care.

she was a child actor, and tried to be the best son she could for her parents. but when her anomaly started showing up, well. her parents were ready to ship her off the second she slipped up. and, one day, in an interview, she did. she was wearing a turtleneck to cover the newly forming gills, and was allowed to grow out her hair just to be able to cover her ears

well, something happened, she cant remember, and she ended up getting wet. her skin was tinted a color no humans should be, and her eyes were dark and almost glowing. there was a live audience watching the whole thing, cameras in her face. hundreds of eyes staring at her, hundreds of voices screaming that shes a freak, a monster. the next thing she remembers is being hauled to camp on a bus.

when she got there, it took a while to adjust. about a year after she got there, lunar did, and they quickly became friends, and at the same time, cracked each others eggs. they trades clothes and became really close friends, bonding over the shit they went through and both being trans. then theres the whole thing with tammy. and THEN the whole thing with the accidental murder. but this post is pretty long already
