I made this image in a photoshop class 12 years ago and pissed off my desk partner with it

I had already been using photoshop for about 10 years at this point, so I knew my way around the program - but had to take the class for a prerequisite

the first assignment was to poke around and make whatever you could - so I put some hats on penguins in about 5 minutes

the guy sitting next to me had no photoshop experience and (I learned later) was horrendously pissed at me for knowing so much about it compared to him

in the end he became a fantastic character modeler (the most difficult of the different disciplines you could choose from), so maybe I helped fuel him with pure unfiltered spite

I never could make your dreams come true, no matter how hard I pushed those swings. I remember those autumn days, when I played for you, soaring strings echoing against the ceiling. The hours of grueling practice were worth it for the sweet sound of the applause you gave me. Mischa. Two syllables that bring me back to that last winter, where everything started and everything ended. Pure snow child, how wretched the world was to you. My hands are stained with my complicity in your destruction.

Fr I thought Sanji's whole thing was no food wasted and feed those that are hungry?? Like, I know I'm super new to this Fandom but that's one thing I've read over and over about his character.

Anecdotes of a Guard Life: Stone's Tattoo

CW: Sexualised discussion, mocking of a character for not understanding what a sexual term means (Thorn's good-natured here, but don't be dicks people!)

I saw a post about Stone and his tattoo, and I couldn't help but think what Fox thinks...

It’s not always fun and games in the Guard. Sometimes, it’s serious matters requiring serious responses.

“Do you think Stone’s tattoo means what I think it means?”

This is not one of those matters.

Fox places his finger and thumb on the bridge of his nose, and desperately wishes for patience. He’s 36 hours in. His caf mug is empty. There’s still a pile of datapads as tall as Thire (who’s 2 inches shorter than the rest of him and will never be allowed to forget it) waiting for him. And Thorn’s sitting with their feet on his desk, throwing a squishy ball that frankly, Fox doesn’t want to know how they got hold of, and asking inane, stupid questions that make Fox want to bury his head in his hands and scream.

It’s a typical Taungsday really.

“What?” Fox asks, knowing there’s absolutely no getting out of a conversation Thorn has decided to have. He’d have more luck asking the Chancellor for a tenday off, and that won’t happen until there’s snow on Tattooine.

Thorn hums. “Stone’s tattoo. What exactly do you think he meant by that?”

Fox squints at Thorn. “Which one?”

The ball drops into Thorn’s hands but doesn’t get thrown back up, as they turn to blink at Fox instead. “The one on his head?” There’s an amused tone to their voice, and Fox narrows his eyes further.

“69?”

Thorn’s lips twitch. “That uh... That’d be the one, yes.”

Fox thinks for a second, then seesaws his hand in the armoured version of a shrug. “I always thought it was a bit weird. His ident code ends in 68, maybe it’s a batchmate or something?” He ducks back towards his datapads, hoping that’s the end of that so he can keep plodding his way through the rest of his mountain of datapads.

It is not the end of that. He should know better to be hopeful.

Thorn swings their feet off his desk, and leans towards him. “Fox. Do you... Do you know what 69 means?”

Fox glares at him. It’s a number. What the kriff is Thorn on about? He thinks quickly, trying to remember if the number has ever come to his attention for some reason. Other than numerous recquisition forms, he really can’t imagine why he’d care.

Thorn leans back, and their expression tells Fox he’s in deep, deep danger. His spine straightens, and his brows furrow into a glare on instinct.

Thorn’s not phased. The fucker. They’ve developed immunity to him. He’d almost be proud of the dikut, except this means Thorn won’t back off like the others.

He staunchly ignores the warm feeling in his chest at that.

“Fox, I cannot stress just how much you need to get out more.” Thorn says, voice haughty and nose tipped up into the air.

“Thorn, I will put you on Senate duty for a month.” Fox states sweetly, teeth gritted.

Thorn visibly wilts. “You wouldn’t.”

Fox merely raises an eyebrow.

Thorn sighs. “Seriously, do you not know?”

Fox glares. “Who the fuck cares? So Stone has a number on his head! As long as he doesn’t take his helmet off in the Senate it’s not a problem.”

Thorn’s silent, and that’s dangerous. Fox glances up at them, tearing his eyes away from the datapad, only to see their eyebrow twitching, and their mouth strangely twisted like they’re trying to hold back a laugh.

He narrows his eyes at them, watching as they put their hand over their eyes, and take several, giggly, deep breaths. They manage to calm themselves, slide their hand down, and glance at him, then abruptly whip it back up again and make a strange, choked noise.

Fox puts up with this for far longer than he really should have done, but his patience is thin under the strain of lack of caf, and he snaps. “Thorn, get the fuck out of my office if you’re not going to explain yourself.”

Thorn squeaks, something Fox has definitely never heard before, before rising to their feet, hand still covering their eyes until they turn away from Fox, where they drop their hand to their hip and bend over to take a few, deep breaths. Abruptly, they stand, grabbing their helmet, and Fox could swear he hears them mutter “Gotta get him out of the office more” as they leave.

Fox rolls his eyes, then bends back to his datapads, frowning at the form he could swear he’s already read but can’t remember.

Hmm...

He makes a note on one datapad, grabbing another to cross-reference.

Maybe he should ask Stone what his tattoo means...

unpopular opinion time again: I don't know if I'm a big fan of Booster Gold. He's odd, sure. But he's not my type of character. Just based on my vague first impressions (since I've seen him before, but never cared to look into him), I see a man chasing fame and success, representing in a way what I would call capitalistic excess. I get what they were going for with him I think (a new type of hero and all that), but I don't know how I personally feel about him. I either dislike him or am completely neutral on him. One or the other right now.

I am remaking this post to apologize this time. The last time I posted this, I got a comment from someone upset I tagged it booster gold. And then I felt bad, so I kept trying to explain myself and apologize but I think I just dug myself into a hole I couldn't get out of and I may or may not be blocked now. I don't know if I'd know if I was blocked.

But now also, let me clarify the record: my biggest experience with Booster Gold is probably the Batman: Brave and the Bold TV series that aired when I was a kid (because I was never able to sit through Justice League Unlimited, which he was also in). And while I think I found him funny or fun, I don't know if I ever felt like I could relate to him. And his backstory doesn't really help that. Maybe if I could be allowed to make my own revised version of the character that kept all his basic traits but which would also be written in a way I could understand, maybe then I could like him more. Maybe I can do that today and see what comes out of it. Could be a good creative exercise or whatever.

As it stands, I have little experience with him. I don't know if I can relate to him, but I don't want all of the people that can relate to him to think I'm an irredeemable monster or jerk. I don't want that.

headcannon that when ast was pregnant for zephyr hiccup was so excited and nervous that he hardly could sleep, so he just, talked with zephyr still in the belly. For hours and hours ab literally everything, like, how was his day, what he did as a chief that day or week, how he loved his wife, how he missed toothless, ideas for future projects, literally EVERYTHING and with details. and every time he talked to zeph he calmed down enough to fall in a completely peaceful sleep without even finishing his own sentences.

all while astrid was sleeping. and she never really had a chance to see the moment because she was always asleep, (i also headcannon that she was pretty sleepy during zeph's pregnancy) until one day she ended up waking during one conversation and found it just so freaking cute that she decided to pretend to be asleep to hear it, and i'm absolutely sure she just fell in love with him all again at the moment

Heavenscale Ezreal, I'm OBSESSED with him, like I literally bought all the chromas for him. I like the VFX, I like his model, the splash art, he's like a God. (If you ask, I didn't like the prestige tbh)

Heartsteel Ezreal, I love his model, I would buy chroma for him, BUT I like him the way he is, like he's color palette is really chilly that's why. I like it when he dance you can hear the Paranoia music on the background. The VFX are very cool, I like the sound.

Fearie Court Ezreal, I like the splash art, but I didn’t really like him at all, idk the model is strange and the VFX are quite weird too, maybe it's because he's too sweet, I bought him because there was a discount in my store.

Battle Academia Ezreal, I got this skin from my chest, and I'm happy with him, like- he looks like the original Ezreal he's still blond, dude, I like the animation it's kinda cool, like when he ran with the toast in his mouth and all.

Pajama Guardian Ezreal, I like the star guardians at all and the Pajamas Guardians are too adorable so I like him, I didn’t really compare the VFX with the Star Guardian one so I don't know but I think they are the same. (I got him from a chest too)

(I don’t know if you wanted me to review these skins, but it is what it is, haha, sorry)

For the skins I don't have, I really like the Nottingham Ezreal, I like the splash cuz I love elves ;-;...

I like the PsyOps Ezreal too, he's kinda cool.

happy new year, everyone. i'm so very grateful for all of you here, and especially those of you i'm lucky enough to call my friends, i'm not exaggerating when I say you're all that's made this year worth it and I can't thank you enough for that

I wish it had been easier. I wish it had been happier. I wish I could look back on it with more fondness, or at least less pain

I am absolutely convinced that you can't let House anywhere near barns because he'd be so annoying. He's basically canonically an epistemologist guys. Listen to literally everything he says in every episode in every season, he's an epistemologist. Anyway that means he would absolutely have to be familiar with Gettier cases because they're kind of a major issue right? for the justified true belief definition of knowledge.

What I'm trying to say here is every time House sees a barn, he would start questioning whether it's a real barn or a barn facade just to be annoying.
