3. Faithless: A moving meditation on purpose, belief, and acceptance. Recorded from 2005-2006: music made for a “spiritual Western” film that, unlike Philadelphia, never got made, leaving the material for years until now. Bruce’s sons, Evan and Sam, are credited as contributors. Single: Faithless

4. Somewhere North of Nashville: a previously-unheard collection inspired by the sounds of honky tonk, rockabilly and uptempo country. Recorded simultaneously with The Ghost of Tom Joad in the summer of 1995 and features much of the core band at the heart of those sessions. Single: Repo Man

can i ask if you’re moving back home for a job or be closer to family in general or just generally finished up your studies? i saw that u were studying for something past undergrad (i am american and i think it was a masters, but i think i am americanizing it!) but i’m not sure if u finished that up or not!! sorry if you’ve answered this before :)

I am always happy to ramble about this!

So I did do a MA (masters) and mentioned it on here but that was back during covid.

Currently I am just finishing my second year of my PhD in East and Central European history.

I am a funded student and as part of my funding I have to travel or I lose my scholarship. I only got my funding a year ago and was finally able to quit two out of three jobs, and focus on my research fully and on being a tutor (I think in America I'd be called a TA. I run smaller classes for about 15 students breaking down the material more and grading their assignments).

My stay here was an extended research visit. I basically took the last few months to ping pong between here and Germany, doing some work and research.

I could stay longer. That is an option or I could do a few months in Germany but at the moment, I'm ready to go home and it was always my plan to kinda just stay till the end of August and go home.

I'll still have to travel a lot over the next two or so years, and maybe I'll move back here again because I do love it here, but right now I'm ready to see my family and friends and to cuddle with my cats again 🥹
