All Good Things Must End

Ray/gn!reader;
From the beginning, you trusted Ray with all your heart. He was the embodiment of your fairytale dream come to life. Your respite from all the unappealing troubles of the outside world. But all fairytales have an ending to them. And yours is not as happy as you expected.
CW: brief mention of violence, erratic behavior, depiction of a codependent relationship. This is a Danger Ray fic! Set during V's route. Loosely based on the 7th day outgoing call to V (11:51 AM, after the 'Provoke' chatroom).
Lovely dividers by @/saradika-graphics!
Ray was a good man. A kind man. A fragile man, even. His entire appearance would remind you of a beautiful but delicate flower. So starved for love and warmth, yet so sensitive to every harsh touch of the wind, even the slightest of pushes against its soft petals would make it start to wilt. A flower that needed nothing but some gentle care and love for it to come into bloom. And, of course, you were willing to give him just that. After all, why wouldn't you be? Ray has been nothing but kind and caring towards you, ever since you stepped foot into this strange place, guiding you along the way while holding your hand and not minding any of your clumsy mistakes. He was understanding. Attentive. Curious. Always checking in with you and eager to hear about your day. Never ignoring you or making you feel stupid if you didn't understand a thing or two.
No wonder you found it so easy to open up to him in your short time here. You trusted that he would do no wrong by you. Just as he promised.
At least... that's what you thought. And appearances can be deceiving. Oh, so very deceiving. Now, it felt downright humiliating just how much of a blind fool you really were. How stupidly determined you were to deny and rebuke anyone daring to challenge your views on Ray.
You loyally refused to trust Rika's musings about Ray's 'darkness' during your brief stay with her, dismissing them as nothing but her twisted philosophy that you couldn't even begin to comprehend. You impulsively denied V's numerous warnings not to trust in Ray's sugary words, reassuring yourself over and over again that surely his affections for you must be true and earnest. You turned your back on every nagging suspicion buzzing at the back of your mind during short moments of unrest. You knew in your heart that Ray was a kind, tender boy. He was simply confined to an environment that would exacerbate his worst traits.
And he was only human, right? No one is immune to harmful outside influences being forced down upon them. Anyone could end up in his place one day, even you. It was no reason for you to be hostile and distrustful of him.
Then again, maybe that was just your mind trying desperately to keep you calm in the midst of a horrible storm you found yourself being forcibly thrust into. After all, accepting just how truly bad and out of your control things truly were here... How utterly helpless and vulnerable you were, with no one there to come save you if you needed it... How trapped and isolated you were in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but miles and miles of lush mountain forests, with no civilization in sight...
Just the thought of it would make a heavy lump of acidic bile rise up to your throat. The sad truth is... Ray simply provided you with feelings of solace and comfort that some deeper, weaker part of you was so desperate for. Losing that was something you were not ready to face yet. He was there by your side from day one. He had a better understanding of you than anyone else did. Of course you would cling to his familiar presence for this brief feeling of stability you yearned for so gravely.
In retrospect, it was always a losing battle for you to try and win. You could have done better. You really, really could have done so much better. Yet it still hit you harder than a sledgehammer to the back of your skull, when the bitter reality has finally reared its ugly head to you, without any regard for your fragile heart.
You resent yourself for hitting that call button despite your gut screaming at you not to. You were already well aware that you would regret doing that, somewhere on the back of your mind. But, in the moment, your worry for your friend overpowered your lingering anxiety. Maybe out of some sense of duty. V made it all the way here, just to save you. You played a big role in his capture, in a way. If it wasn't for you, he wouldn't be in danger. And not knowing a single thing about his whereabouts or even his state was... daunting.
So, you dialed his phone number.
You anticipated that he wouldn't pick up. Maybe you would receive a very brief phone call with him begging you to keep yourself safe, like he always would. Or even just a quick exchange of words between you two that would maybe give you even the tiniest of clues on his whereabouts. Something you could then relay to Seven. Make yourself useful. Actually do something, instead of just sitting there and driving yourself mad with dozens upon dozens of anxious thoughts clouding your mind.
What you received was worse than you could have ever imagined.
It was one thing to hear pained groans, gasps, and raspy coughing on the other end of the line. You already had an expectation that V would not be okay when you hear his voice. It still left your knees feeling weak and your heart lurching in your chest with a dizzying intensity, but you could handle that, to an extent. What you couldn't handle was also hearing a familiar soft-spoken voice that has become an unstated but undeniable source of comfort for you. A voice that was now sounding so cold and angry, that your brain had a hard time comprehending what was happening, seemingly shutting down completely, as you remained deathly quiet for the whole duration of that cursed call.
Ray just was not supposed to be there.
You have heard him get angry before. You have heard him lose his grip on reality before. You have heard him say things you couldn't truly agree with, despite you still going along with them regardless, to avoid causing him any disturbance. Those were all aspects of him you were not blind to. You just actively chose to overlook them whenever they would come up. Something that you probably shouldn't have done.
-But you never heard him be so downright cruel and vicious before. Seemingly not at all disturbed by the very real sounds of suffering from the other living person there with him. Even getting angrier at them.
Like it was something completely normal. Not at all worth getting upset or worried over.
You couldn't wrap your head around the fact that this was the same man that worried himself sick over you simply scraping a knee. He was so caring, so empathetic to you back then... over a small cut, of all things. And now, that very same man was not at all disturbed by such grave suffering happening right in front of him.
No, by the sounds of it... he was actively causing it.
And that's not something you could live in peace with.
The call lasted for a maximum of two minutes. That's the time that your phone would display to you whenever you mindlessly return to it, anyway. But it felt way longer than that. For those two horrible minutes, your ears were ruthlessly subjected to the merciless reality you were so desperate to avoid facing up until that very moment.
The bitter truth was that Ray is not a fragile flower. Nor is he a prince from a fairytale. For, fairytales are not reality. No matter how much you want them to be. He was a man, a human being, just like you. Just like every other person in this building. And much like any human being, he was more than capable of causing harm by his own two hands if he so chooses. In fact, he would do so purposefully. And a victim of his spiraling wrath was no longer some faceless unlucky believer that you could forget about in a matter of hours, despite you genuinely feeling bad for them. No, it was your friend. A friend who fought so desperately to save you, even at the cost of his own safety. A friend you have come to care for in the short time you have known each other.
A friend, you knew for sure didn't deserve to be suffering in the way that he was. By the hands of your other friend you cared for just as deeply.
Such reality was just too cruel for you to bear.
So, you do the most foolish thing of all.
You confront Ray head-on.
"-Y/N, you must be confused... I've done no wrong. I do admit that I... did loose myself for a moment there, but- but it was his own fault! If he just kept quiet and drank the elixir like my Savior has instructed, I wouldn't get so upset with him. And he kept saying his stupid lies... He wouldn't shut up. My head hurt so bad... You have no idea."
You are left feeling sick to your very core by the soft apologetic smile reflected on Ray's face, once you do have a chance to finally face him again. No matter what you say, how hard you try to show him how wrong and cruel his actions really were, it was all completely pointless. For someone so seemingly skittish and subservient, Ray was frustratingly stubborn in his beliefs. It was like throwing a tennis ball at a wall. The more force you put into your throw to get your point across, the harder it just bounces right back into your face, leaving you with the painful sting of your failure.
You shake your head, an ugly mess of emotions steadily clouding your sense of judgment. At some point, you lose track of your location and position. All caution goes out the window. All that remains is a debilitating feeling of betrayal, clutching at your insides like metal rods slowly puncturing your very heart. "It is still wrong, Ray! How can you not see that!? He was suffering, and you just- just-"
The words don't come out of your mouth, obstructed by the suffocating lump stuck in the middle of your throat. You were going in circles now. You have been trying to get through to him for almost ten minutes straight, and still no results. You have to take a moment to try and regain your breathing. A soft glowed hand rests gently upon your chin, causing you to tilt your head to meet Ray's gaze instead.
You are disgusted by the genuine concern etched onto his delicate features. By the unfeigned emotions of nothing but genuine care and affection swimming in his eyes as he looks at you. By the tender touch warming up your clammy skin. All of it is sincere. You know he is not lying to you. Not right now, at least. And that is a sickening realization to come to.
More than anything, you are disgusted by the simple fact that you cannot perceive him as a monster or an angel. Ray is no perfect prince from a fairytale, no matter how hard he may try and appear to you as such.
He's a human.
Just like you.
And this implies that he is capable of all the atrocities that any human being is capable of. As much as he is kind to you, he can also be cruel to others. As much as his hands soothe and tremble when they brush up against yours, they can also hurt and sully those he harbors hatred for. It's not all black and white, as you would like to delude yourself into thinking.
And his actions were truly appalling to you. You couldn't live in your fantasy world anymore. It was sullied. Destroyed beyond repair. Your Wonderland has been corrupted from the start, and you just denied each and every sign of it, until it was too late.
"My prince/ss... It pains me to see you in such distress. Though, your tender heart is another trait of you that I adore," Ray whispers to you softly, his thumb lightly brushing over your cheekbone. He was touching you so gently, it's almost like you were made out of glass. And yet, just a few hours earlier, these exact hands were causing so much suffering to someone you care so deeply about. The thought prompts you to swallow hard and clutch your hands together as they start to shake. He continues, seemingly undisturbed by your lack of a positive response. "-But believe me when I say that that villain is not deserving of your compassion. He tried to take you away from me... To ruin what you and I have built together. I cannot stand by and watch him do that to us. What if you got hurt because of him? I would never forgive myself, if that were to happen."
You shut your eyes, refusing to accept the reality unfolding before you. Everything was wrong. So very wrong. One part of you wanted to scream and shout at him, to make him see the twisted nature of his words by pure unrelenting force if you have to. But there was another part of you that contemplated just giving up and concluding this interaction altogether. The debilitating feeling of helplessness was just too much for you to handle.
You are not allowed to do either of those things, however. Instead, another hand lightly rests on the small of your back, pulling you in towards the source of your distress. And you don't fight it. You feel your forehead come in contact with Ray's chest, his flowery scent filling your senses, as both of his arms are now circling around you. You hear a happy sigh fall from his lips. It all seemed like a very cruel joke on you. A moment that seemed so sweet and touching, bringing you nothing but more hurt and anguish.
Did he really not see anything amiss with any of this?
"I missed you so much, my flower... You know, when I heard that liar try and talk to me like he knew you better than I do, I felt like I might just strangle him right then and there. Make sure he never utters your lovely name ever again." Ray's voice is slightly gruff from how quiet it is against the side of your head. A low hum vibrates in his throat as he nuzzles into your hair like an affectionate cat would, breathing in your scent with all the longing you could possibly ask for. Though, the only thing that comes from his affections is a sickening feeling of dread for you.
"-But I thought of you. I thought of your lovely smile... Your eyes, your voice. I know I shouldn't think like this, but... You gave me more strength than my Savior's words ever did. What I did... I did for you. For us, Y/N." He continues, taking a step back from the hug to look at you. Your gaze is cast low, as you don't reciprocate the gesture. You can't bring yourself to look at him right now. It's hard to even keep yourself from putting your hands over your ears to avoid hearing it all. He gently tilts your head up, however, making it clear that he wants you to look at him. "Please don't be upset... It breaks my heart to see you sad because of that villain."
That's when the dam inside of you finally shatters, all repressed emotions spilling out in a violent wave of hopelessness you cannot bring yourself to stop. You wrench yourself away from Ray's arms, your own hands now clenched into tight fists as you look him directly in the eyes. There's a fire burning ever hotter inside of your chest, and you make no attempt to put it out. You let it take over you completely, consequences be damned.
"Villain?Villain!? Ray, he did all he could to save me! And you locked him up and tortured him for that!"
Your mind is screaming at you to stop. To stop and fix things before they spiral too out of your control.
You're being too aggressive. Too blunt. Too disobedient. Staying safe requires you to be both calm and smart about this. And you are neither of those things right now.
But you don't care.
Even as you see the emotions in Ray's eyes shift from that suffocating affection to a mix of desperation and frustration you know well. He makes a step towards you. You make two steps back. This makes his brows furrow in what you could only assume was dissatisfaction.
You never backed away from him before.
"Save you...? No. No. Y/N, he tried to steal you from me. Poison you with his lies, like he has done to my Savior. He did it to me, too! I'm the one who saved you. I did what had to be done to protect you!" You can actively hear his voice changing from the shaky disbelief at your denial of him to rough desperation to prove you wrong. It's borderline scary how quick those changes are occurring right in front of your eyes. Almost in a blink of an eye. It's yet another blaring warning for you to stop.
One that you ignore.
Instead, your frustration boils up inside of you, making you sneer at his stubborn refusal to see reason: "By hurting him!? By making him choke and gag in pain? What was the point of-"
Your angry line of thought is instantaneously interrupted by a small yeep that slips past your lips, as Ray closes in on you in just a couple of quick steps, grabbing at your wrists with a tight grip. Tight enough to cause you some discomfort. His eyes are wide, and his breathing is noticeably shaky. Like he's fighting to get enough air into his lungs and failing miserably. He yanks you close, making you stumble into him without much time for you to struggle or push back against him. Mostly due to your state of pure disbelief. You never expected Ray to actually do anything to you. And while he wasn't actively hurting you, this was still shattering your perception of him to bits and pieces. Or, what remained of it.
"That was nothing, Y/N. He deserved all of that. He deserved that and more. You feel sad for him? You wish mercy on him?" You are suddenly pushed back against the wall, and Ray's slim form keeps you trapped in this makeshift cage you created for yourself with your reckless actions. Ray's voice grows shakier, yet also significantly lower. It sounded dangerous. Angry. His nose brushes up against yours, as he's leaning so close to you, you can't focus on anything but him. Your breath hitches as you instinctively press yourself up against the wall, the panicked pounding of your heart echoing in your temples. "You have no idea how badly he hurt me. What pain I went through because of that- that-"
You can't help but wince in pain as his grip on you tightens. An action that seems to immediately shake Ray out of his temporary fit of anger, as he gasps and quickly lets go of you, stumbling backwards with a frightened expression painted over his features. You don't even have to look at him to know that he is probably in a less than stable state of mind. You are left staggered, betrayed and confused, as you stand there, eyes cast low, rubbing at your wrists. They didn't hurt. Not much, at least. It's the psychological aspect of it that left an impact of you.
Ray's voice feels muffled as it reaches your ears through the constant flow of thought in your head.
"I- N-No, Y/N, I'm sorry, I didn't want to- Are you hurt?" You can see him taking a step back towards you, hand reaching out for yours, probably to check on your wrists. You can tell he's scared. And upset. Probably guilty. Which makes this even harder for you to grapple with.
Either way, you cut him off, not wanting to hear any more of this. Partially because you understand that staying to listen will only cause you to break further, if it was even possible at this point. Because he sounds so genuine, nervous, and miserable, it makes your heart ache for him despite yourself. Makes you want to look up, smile, and say that you're okay. That you two can figure it out together.
And you don't want to repeat the same mistake twice.
"Just... Leave, Ray." You mutter out quietly, not raising your eyes at him. You sound a bit too soft for your liking, but it'll do. Swallowing, you repeat yourself for good measure. "Please. Leave."
There is a prolonged pause between the two of you. It's almost too lengthy for comfort. Neither of you say anything for a while. But the tension in the air is thick, and it does not fade with time. It only grows. Crawling over you like snakes. There is a fear within you that prevents you from looking at him. A fear of seeing the pain in his eyes. Or, instead, to come face to face with that same anger that felt so alien to you.
Ray finally speaks up. His voice is barely audible.
"...N-No..."
He moves closer to you still. For the second time today, you are finding yourself backing away. But now, you turn your back on him and keep your hands locked where you can see them. You can feel them shaking. With a sigh, you repeat: "Leave."
And, as you soon learn, that was not a very wise choice for you to make.
You're quickly spun around before you can think to act, and Ray's fingers are digging into your shoulders with a disturbing intensity, leaving you little time to react. He's observing you as if you were a wounded animal that was left behind after being hit by a car. Like you're the saddest creature he had ever seen. And, for some reason, that look scares you more than the previous anger he showed you.
"I can't believe this..." He murmurs under his breath, his eyes darting over your figure, almost like he was searching for something physical on you that could be visible to the human eye. But he doesn't find it, and that seems to upset him further. You try to pull away from him, only to get jerked back in again, his hold on you tightening.
Only this time, he does not pay any attention to your visible discomfort. He was too occupied with his own thoughts that you were not aware of. It's like he doesn't even see you. Not fully, anyways.
He holds your chin and tilts your face to examine you more closely. As he does, his shaky breath sneaks over your cheek and causes you to shiver in place.
"He... He poisoned you, didn't he...?"
The hushed murmur sounds so utterly ridiculous that it almost makes you forget about the disturbing nature of this situation for a good moment. Yet, he was completely serious. And he wasn't even talking to you, by the looks of it.
"What? Ray, I-"
"-That's why you are saying all these things to me... That's why you don't trust me anymore." Ray cuts you off as if you were not there, his brows furrowing into a deep scowl, but not one aimed directly at you. One of his hands grips onto your chin, while the other finds your hand and takes it into his own, his fingers sliding between yours. He grasps it tight, in a hold that would feel reassuring, if it wasn't for the circumstances. "My Y/N wouldn't tell me to leave. I should've guessed..."
A shiver of fear runs down your spine. As your outburst of frustration subsides, you slowly start to realize the seriousness of this situation for you, as the fire of anger and betrayal subsides. Now you wish Ray was angry again. At least then he still listened to you. But how can you fix things when he doesn't even acknowledge you?
"-Don't worry," You are brought back to reality by a warm and assuring smile on Ray's face. One that only makes you feel nauseous. He leans in and presses a kiss to your forehead, making your breath hitch. Staying there, he whispers onto your skin, like a secret promise only for your ears to hear. "I will fix it, my prince/ss. I shouldn't have been away from you for this long in the first place... My Savior is far too busy to give you the care and attention you need. But now, I'm here. And I'm not leaving your side again. I promise. I'll make sure you are smiling again."
He does not let go of you again. While your fairytale might have been broken, his has only begun its story. And his happily ever after is not something he will give up on. Even if you did.

you know what, fuck it
*proceeds to name every dating sim/ otome game I know*
(somewhat in alphabetical order + description with spoilers)
A date with death You get your soul targetted by a grim reaper, but you instead steal his soul and made him into your pookie wookie snookums <3 BTW you can get a pet in the game. Mine is a snake called Noodle :)
Blooming Panic it's Discord but with hot characters, a variety of side characters, a cute story, and Chat GBT but it's a sentient being. I think the last part spoiled one of the routes... oopsies :3
Bonely Hearts Club (Undertale AU Dating sim) They basically become your neighbour. The AUs in this are Undertale, Underfell, Underswap, Swapfell!Indigo and Horrortale! {it's still in its demo stages but it is very well made!}
Error 143 you, an adorkable hacker (who is your rival and you're salty about it), cheesy Romeo and Juliet dream the MC has but it has a high school twist to it
I love you! You like asparagus. ...oh! You also have an option to make multiple boys fall in love with you. By the way, did you know the MC (you) loves asparagus? There are friendship routes, romance routes, and a bad ending except it's not bad. This game is the English translated version of the original game (The original game is in Japanese. The link for the original game is here --> ❤️)
Killer Trait You get accused of committing a murder, and you team up with a person who is a serial killer himself. (The serial killer in question only kills criminals so... I think you're safe...?) Your bear cream bun gets run over :( {The game is still in its demo stages. The creator of the game announced that this game will NOT be completed during 2024 since they are currently concentrating on a different game. DO NOT ASK THEM "Oh! But can't you just do this game first?". IT'S VERY ANNOYING, ESPECIALLY TO THE CREATOR}
KLEIN V.01 "Just Monika" but Yandere isn't named Monika, nor are they human. They are an AI. A fucking AI. Like bro, I understand it's hard to talk to people but really? An AI Boyfriend app that tells you to ruin your sleep schedule for him? An AI Boyfriend app that hacks your phone? An AI Boyfriend app that KILLS one of your family members and almost kills your neighbour??? RED FLAG. RED FLAGS EVERYWHERE {this game is in its demo stages. The creator is slowly updating this game in chapters, so it might take a while to finish}
Light the Way (Luxiem fangame) The game remembers what you did. All of the hearts you've broken, your sins, and your actions. There are lots of achievements, memes, Romance, friendship and BAD ROUTES. This time, the bad endings actually hurt. 0/10 would not recommend doing the bad routes unless you want to be stalked by an alter ego of Yamino Shu :(
Obey Me (Original and Nightbringer ver) Original - You become the therapist of many men with trauma and insecurities. The men in question are fucking demons that have the power to shred you into grated cheese, but they instead decide to simp over you as the story goes on. (also did I mention that you'll die? No? Oh fuck-) Nightbringer - A continuation (?) of the Original Obey Me but in a completely different universe. That's right! You slip into the past, way before the main story happens, WAY before you were even born! Idk if there is a way to go home but hey! At least you have your wizard friend from your timeline with you :D
Our Life (Now and Forever & Beginnings and always) Both stories consist of you growing up with your love interest since childhood. There are many paths to take, lots of assets to use to customize your character, and many side stories for you to read! Personally, this is one of my favourites :D (Our Life: Beginnings and Always is complete but Our Life: Now and Forever is still in development!)
Please don't hate Christmas A Yandere x Christmas x Urban Legend Otome game. Do you like Paranormal stuff? Do you like lore that connects with the story? Are you alright with MCs with a sprite that is impossible to remove from the screen? Well, look no further! This game is perfect for you! (by the way, the whole game was made by the creator. Only by themself! Even the CGs and character sprites!! Isn't that amazing!?)
Saint Spell's Love Guide A normal week of magical school... you can be friends with someone, or fall in love with them. Wait... there's lots of CGs for each character? Complicated world-building and lore!?? Angst and cruel bad endings!!?? SHROOMS!?!?!? {Oh by the way, there's multiple ways to get killed in this game. Just make sure to be careful sweetie :3}
Where Winter Crows go A crow and a scientist named Crowe... cute Another one of my other personal favourites! The love interest is a very squeezable and adorable (yandere) scientist who cooks you good food :D All of the endings are well-written! And if you're a crazy bitch like me, you'll love one of the endings >:)
THIS IS PART 1 SINCE I CAN'T FIT EVERYTHING IN 😭
#itch.co#blooming panic#error 143#killer trait#klein v.01#light the way luxiem#obey me#obey me nightbringer#our life#please don't hate christmas#saint spells love guide#where the winter crows go#PLEASE TALK TO ME I'M DESPERATE 😭😭#I need more fandom friends...#a date with death#otome games

I don't talk enough about Chaesun's time at Mint Eye and it's a real shame .
It was a rather confusing time for her . On one hand , she was determined to save Saeran , but on the other , she wanted to help V . Her anxiety was quite bad in Mint Eye . Not knowing which version of Saeran she'd get was stressful . She had a hard time sleeping , afraid he'd come in the night to be awful to her . Her fingers were often bleeding from being bitten at . During that time of turmoil , the unpredictability caused her habit to spread to her lips and the insides of her cheeks . She was not submissive to the things she suffered , but she knew resisting too much might make Saeran do something he'd later regret .
Rika was somewhat of an enigma , but she could tell the woman was very lost . Knowing that she was dear to the RFA and V , Chaesun wanted to help her as well , yet was careful about getting too close despite Rika's growing interest in her in V's route . In spite of her nerves , she tried her best to smile and show kindness , hoping to avoid any suspicion aimed her way . She never considered becoming a believer because she witnessed the way Saeran was morphed by his life at Magenta .
She was terrified of the elixir , and was relieved when Ray or V would help her avoid taking it . Much like Seven in the main and deep story routes , Saeran / Ray is aware of her compulsive body focused behavior . Ray tries to help and soothe her , while Saeran feels that it is a clear sign that his terrorizing is getting to her . V would sneak her in supplies to ensure she didn't get an infection , and it only fueled his determination to free her .
V constantly disappearing and reappearing was another point of fear for her .
Saeran especially despised her unwavering kindness and how easily she understood his fragmented personality . Despite this , his obsession with her didn't falter . On V's route , both Saeran / Ray and Rika's interests in her make things more difficult .
Later on Saeran's route , the two become very closely attached , and while he still allowed his insecurities to make him cruel from time to time , he stopped trying to torment her by denying her food , or threatening her life .
In the end , she chooses to forgive Rika , believing that forgiveness does not mean excusing what happened . In endings where Rika is still in contact with the RFA , Chaesun is a big supporter of Rika getting treatment . Chaesun is also in therapy following her days at Magenta . She never blames Saeran for her abuse because he was not of sound mind .
#📝 it's not in my bio ✦ about/headcanons✦#About Chaesun#I know I mostly talk about the main and deep story#but i have thought about her during another story i swear!#girl was a wreck#I try to leave things somewhat open-ended since there are so many endings

how do you think a post vae interaction between mc and ray go? bc i have two cmcs, one for v and another for vae ray and i made them besties and it just ocurred to me how awkward it would be if she was like "yo let me introduce you to my bf" and pulled out ray 😭
i do think it depends.
Context is going to be key in this situation. I have written about VAE Ray and VAE Suit being in a relationship with an MC after the events of V Route before. In that situation, that particular MC has nothing to do with the RFA. They meet during his recovery when he’s looking for a job to get out of the house.
This MC doesn’t know about the cult or anything that happened in the past to him. They just know he has a scar and a past that he doesn’t like to talk about. Ray keeps his relationship with them to himself because talking about love and crushes hurts.
[You can read about that here.]
There's a part of him that is always going to love V’s MC. There is no denying that fact. He will always have love in his heart for that person. It'll be hard for him to ever let go of that love but maybe it'll get easier over time. I always imagined that he is anxious and withdrawn whenever he is around V’s MC.
He is happy that they're happy and safe. He can live peacefully with that in his head. He would never make them feel bad for any of the emotions that he feels. He is grateful that he gets to see them be happy but he doesn't see them as much as he would like to. It's too hard for him to see them. I don't imagine him being comfortable with his new MC being around V’s MC. It’s not them, it’s due to his feelings.
It would be emotionally too much for him to think about his first love and his newest love. He wouldn't go out of his way to make sure that they don't meet each other but it's obvious that he's uncomfortable with the thought. You know how his feelings ended the last time with V’s MC. He doesn’t want to be in a spot where those burn memories come up and get tangled with his new MC that is a patient and understanding person.
There is a little bit of a disconnection but I do feel as though V’s MC would know if Ray started dating someone or even had a crush. Ray talks to V like a lifeline in this reality. He doesn't always go into detail but he does go to him for a little bit of advice now and again. V’s MC would wind up knowing somewhat about it whether V meant to tell them the full details or not. Ray and V’s MC just don’t really... talk that much anymore so... feelings are tense and awkward. Can’t just tell Ray they support him without it being weird.
Him admitting that he has feelings and that is hard to slowly moving on would be a big step for him. There is no denying that it would be complicated already on top of this... but the past and the present meeting is too much. So when it comes to how he would handle that sort of thing it really depends on how you imagined the relationship between your two MC.
How do they know each other? What is their dynamic? What does it mean for Ray to have his two most defining loves meet when he’s not ready for that sort of thing? Does his MC warn him? Do they talk about this? Do they even know if the other is dating V? What is the context? What is the foundation? I’m just saying it will be a huge mess if you don’t prepare Ray.
He might regress in some of his progress and struggle with knowing what the right thing to do is. What if the MCs talk about everything and they both tell him it’s better that he’s alone? His insecurities and fears are going to eat away at him with intrusive thoughts. It won’t be pretty. Poor baby. That’s what I think about it.

Mystic Messenger Saeran’s AE Thoughts (.......And Prayers..) #Spoilerz
Hello, I just finished Saeran’s after ending and I have a lot of things to say and I am going to write it down while I'm still all keyed up about it.
First of all… Please DO NOT ask me how much money I spent to finish this as fast as I did…. I’m grown but my bank account is certainly going to have a good ole fashioned CHUCKLE at this….. It’s been a long quarantine I deserve a lil happiness as a treat methinks!
I have been playing this absolutely insane game since I think 2016? When I first started playing the deep routes had JUST come out I think? And I was just finishing up high school and am now a college grad...lmao
I’ve played all routes at least once except Jaehee but i’ve seen walkthroughs of her route (I’ve heard it makes you hate Jumin and he’s my favorite so um. hehe). V’s and Saeran’s routes I found to be so emotionally intense and just….a lot and I've been waiting a long ass god damn time for this after ending okay…. I would theorize and make up an ending in my head but i’m no writer so it was hard to figure out lol. I’m a Jumin stan mostly but I love everybody and yeah I should probably play that jumin dlc too but I need like a DAY to recover from Saeran’s AE. Enough about me HERE are my thoughts on it overall
Major Saeran AE Spoilers under da cut!
Can we please discuss V showing up to the C+R conference room with basically chloroform and made everybody Pass Out like??? I was alone in my room at like midnight just SCREAMING at my phone???? And the creepy ass CG ???? It’s like that gif of sarah paulson from ahs being like “I put arsenic in the wine….and the pasta”
Anyway I screamed at V a lot during this process!!
Loved RFA being sweet and kind to saeran (before V fucking drugged them…)
This is such common V behavior “I have to do it all myself...there’s no other way..” GIRL SHUT UPPP You do this every route....
SO many CG’s and I enjoy them a lot
Saeran’s sprite looks a little TOO crisp compared to everyone else but maybe its a glitch??? V next to him is in 480p while saeran is like 1080p
Hearing both Saeran and Saeyoung missing the other brother the whole time??? PAIN. All my homies know is PAIN
BOSS and his V for Vendetta ass guy fawkes mask??? I literally yelled “this game is TERRIBLE!!” several times at my phone
Their dad is so>??????? When he was sitting on the couch with saeyoung in that one CG while simultaneously telling him to kill himself?????????? Maybe chairman han is actually the best dad in this game somehow
When V and Rika were like we’re back together teehee teehee okay pack it up bonnie and clyde ..
When chairman han calls u and says hes jealous of u and saeran…..HUH????? I’m calling HR
When they go to the apartment and see boss and vanderwood and poor saeyoung is sitting there seeing his brother for the first time in years i wanted to D word sooooo bad like PAIN...PAIN….
Can we HAVE A DISCUSSION ABOUT JUMIN HAN BEING THE BEST CHARACTER IN THE GAME AND HE LOST EVERYTHING IN THIS AE……. he just took the blame and moved on jumin what the hell….. I love him so much r we serious? He watched his 2 closest friends betray him in the worst way and found out abt how Rika abused Saeyoung and Saeran???? I felt just AWFUL. Terrible ...Terrible….
Rika’s change in demeanor from Saeran's actual route is certainly a Choice. I find her much more bearable this time around and unfortunately i think I was too nice to her and ended up with a bad end LMFAO
I was happy to see Saeran stand up for himself and become stronger and confident. You go king!
The CG of Yoosung laying in Zen’s lap is everything to me…
HOWEVER YUP I sure did get a bad ending and I was so mad fdsafdskfdhsf ! (I would be happy to clarify how I got the good one the second time.) MAKE SURE To SAVE EARLY in days 2 and 3 bc the branches on day 4 is where the bad end will show up. For me it was the first day 4 chat and then a story mode titled “SAVIOR”.... If you see that RUN FOR THE HILLS!!
I was so mad! But I had saved in day 2 and replayed and MANAGED to get good end
I’m obsessed with everyone calling V and Rika “that psychotic couple” like…..its true its true…
No those two are so toxic… V’s route was torture watching them go on and on about the sun like yo can yall just call each other babe like normal people.
I respect straight people but not V and RIka that shit was just wrong… Straight marriage was a mistake
Oh lord i also FULLY Forgot Rika killed the twins’ mother…. Yeah that scene was um Certainly a lot but it needed to happen eventually
Like it’s good they know but damn that storyline is just so bleak
I think it was satisfying TO A DEGREE….To see Rika understand where she was wrong, why she was wrong, fess up and even APOLOGIZE! I was very surprised.
Saeran and Saeyoung are Certainly twins with the amount that those two self sacrifice in every route MY GOD…..
The scene with Jumin talking to his father and the other scene of him praying oh my god I cannot tell you how happy I was to see him begin to understand and address his own feelings in a route that was not his own. My main problem with Jumin’s route has always been the trapping MC in his penthouse aspect.. This way Jumin understands love and emotions without being overly possessive !!! YAY also loved seeing him be on good terms with his dad who was surprisingly profound
That last Story mode was Really a Lot…. and Strange things occurred which I will get into in just a minute
Jumin becoming a politician is so funny but ngl … i see it.
Yoosung going to france to study pastries ok king I see u! (it made more sense to me than the vet thing anyway)
Lastly Zen FURRY ERA
MY BEEF With the AE
I was happy with how they handled it for the most part. I think Cheritz heard our feedback about V’s after ending and was like okay….let’s try something different
HOWEVER
Saeran…. Sweet kind saeran… IS SO AFFECTIONATE HAHA….
He must have said I love you like 300 times…..very mushy gushy flowery language...and maybe that’s just his personality but for me it was like eating cake with buttercream cake. It means well, but god damn is it sugary and going to cause a stomach ache later.
He was just… SO MUCH! SO forward and ON all the time in his affections. I honestly felt kind of smothered and by day 3 and 4 I was sooooo over all the compliments… King you’ve come a very long way, but ur still putting MC on a pedestal and probably need to see a therapist.
Nextly….Rika and V….. Naw that knock out gas really ...that hurt lol. Coming from “I would do anything to protect RFA” V? Idk like…. EYE felt betrayed reading that. It was just hurtful. I can’t even imagine how the members would have felt as they were passing out. It was just so cruel. I suppose I understand why but like?? Just TERRIBLE
Them being in cahoots with the agency and the prime minister..HUH??? Also too much
V just felt so irresponsible like I do understand that he ended up in a weird web of secrets that’s hard to untangle but he’s so fucking stubborn he’s SO stubborn it makes me insane. Like sir… It seems like in other routes he wanted to try to protect Rika and the RFA.. But in this AE it seems more to me that he was like yeah i’m protecting Rika and That’s It… so fucking hurtful to me. Both of y’all apologize ESPECIALLY to the twins and Jumin..
The forgiveness thing…… Okay so I think some people will not like that Saeran decided to “forgive” the people who hurt him (Rika, V, Saejoong, his mother). I would point out that I actually think this was approached somewhat well. He says at one point that he doesn’t think they’re good or bad, just people. I think he sounded mature and like this was the way for him personally to accomplish his healing process. Would I have loved for Saeran to flip V and Rika off and kick Saejoong off a cliff? Yea I really would. But like…. If that’s what HE needs to do to heal then who am I to judge?
HOWEVER…. Everything Eye just said goes out the window when the scenes at the end with Saejoong come up… I was PERPLEXED. Like why did he HUG his deranged father who just kicked the shit out of him??? Also all the chat options that MC has with him r like blah blah you’re like this because no one loves you were so corny to me LMFAOOOO?
AND WHEN HE WAS IN THE ROOM LATER WITH SAERAN… i’m sorry but if that were me I would have called a nurse to deck his ass. Cool he turned himself in YOU SUCK SOOOO BAD AND I NEVER WANT YOU TO COME NEAR SAEYOUNG AND SAERAN AGAIN THANKS.
*scratches ass* I wish I got to see saeyoung and saeran finally sit down and have that first conversation after a long time and hug CG but the ending was fine I GUESS….. I dont care about ROMANCE I want those boys to be happy brothers together
Anyway that was really emotionally exhausting but I fr think I got it out of my system after literal years… And I can rest in peace knowing the choi twins are happy. THATS ALL I WANTED TO KNOW!!!!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy what this turned out to be!
——————————
They met in their final year of college.
The professor announced to the class that for their end semester project, they had to choose a partner. Patton looked around to find that almost everyone has paired off with the closest person to them, everyone except one person in the corner. Possibly because of his lack of wings, or maybe because he wasn’t near anyone, maybe both, but that didn’t matter to Patton.
“Hi, I’m Patton! Would you like to be partners?” Patton said while extending his arm for a handshake.
“Janus and... fuck it, why not.” He took Patton’s hand and pulled him into the seat next to him.
And then it went off from there.
They quickly got to know each other during their meet-ups for the project and Patton fell in love. Their project meet-ups dissolved into coffee dates and movie nights, their friendly chats morphed into playful banter and comforting words, everything just felt right and there was no doubt in Patton’s mind that they didn’t love each other.
After they both graduated, they moved in with each other... Virgil was not on board with that.
(”Patton, there’s just something about him that’s not right.”
“Virgil, relax, I’ve known him for quite a while and there’s no bad bone in his body.”
“Listen, he just gives off this vibe that’s not right but I just don’t know what it is.”
“Virgil...”
“Look, I only want to protect my little brother.”
“I understand, but I don’t need protection. I’m okay, I promise.”)
There was nothing wrong with Janus. Maybe he keeps saying how pretty Patton’s wings are, but he’s just being sweet (and his wings are pretty nice, a pale blue fading into a more bold shade at the tips, accented with a soft grey). So, as they settled onto the couch, watching a movie, everything felt right.
----
He should’ve listened to Virgil. It happened around two months after they moved in together.
It was just a normal day, Patton had just come home from work to a surprise from Janus.
“You didn’t have to do this.” Patton said as he looked at the table completely covered with food.
“Ah, but I wanted to,” he took Patton’s hand to take him to the table. “You go ahead and sit down while I get you your drink.”
The dinner was delicious, and after they were finished, Janus took Patton over to the couch to watch a movie. Barely a quarter of the way in the movie, Patton noticed he was very drowsy, which was strange. He didn’t do anything different that day than he normally would, he got a normal amount of sleep, he didn’t skip out on any meals, so what could be the problem?
Janus took notice of how Patton could barely keep his head up and said with a small smirk, “It’s okay, dear. You can rest for tonight.”
And Patton was out.
----
The first thing Patton noted when he woke up was that he was in /a lot/ of pain, the next was that he felt off-balance. He tried to open his eyes with little success and let out a small whine of frustration.
“Patton?”
Wait, was that Virgil? Why was Virgil in his apartment?
“Hey, Cookie, are you there?”
Oh, something must be very wrong, Virgil only used his nickname when it was serious.
After a bit of struggle, Patton was able to get his eyes open to find a bright light… and the realization that this was not his apartment.
“V,” he said in a voice barely above a whisper. “Why am I here?”
He looked towards Virgil to find him with a protective look on his face and his wings twitching, wanting to reach out and protect his younger brother. “To put it simply, you were drugged and had your wings hacked off with a kitchen knife.”
Well then.
“How did I get here,then?”
----
Virgil was starting to get worried, Patton was late for their breakfast meet-up. They only have breakfast together every month, they still visit each other frequently, but breakfast meet-ups were a special thing Patton would never be late to.
Maybe he just got caught up with something? Maybe he accidentally slept in? Maybe his apartment had a power outage and his alarm clock got turned off?
Virgil looked at the time. Patton was only 30 minutes late, he could wait for 10 more minutes.
...
10 minutes came and went and Patton still hasn’t arrived... and Virgil knew something must’ve been wrong at that point. He stepped out of their meeting place and started on the quickest flying route to Patton’s apartment, worried out of his mind.
He reached the apartment very shortly, realized the door was unlocked, and opened the door to find an unconscious Patton on the couch covered in blood... he did not hesitate calling the paramedics.
——
“Oh” Patton said once Virgil was done retelling what happened. He had his next question in mind, but hesitated whether or not it was the right thing to ask at the time. He decided to ask it anyway.
“Where’s Janus?”
A murderous look crossed over Virgil’s face. “Janus.” He hissed out, and Patton never thought a single word could be said with so much venom. “That asshole-“
“Hey now-“
“Is suspected to have been the one to drug you and chop off your wings! He left the apartment without a single fucking trace, everything of his has been cleaned out, every picture with him in it has been torn or broken, and so far nobody has been able to find him!”
Patton felt the blood drain from his face. Janus, his boyfriend that he absolutely loves (or loved), had cut off his wings and drugged him. The person that he possibly trusted the most, next to Virgil, just cut himself out of their life so easily. He could practically feel his heart shattering.
To say Virgil comforted him until he fell asleep was an understatement.

Top 20 BEST Animated Series of the 2010s-1st Place!
And now.
For real this time.
What is hands down.
The Best.
Animated series.
In the 2010s.
Is…
(Pause for dramatic affect)
#1-Adventure Time (2010-2018)
I mean...what else?
The Plot: The magical land of Ooo has many things: A kingdom made of candy, a sociopathic Ice King, and even a self-proclaimed Vampire Queen. Amongst all this chaos are two adventures: A human boy named Finn, the Human, and his magical dog/best friend/adopted brother (yes, really) named Jake, the Dog. These two then go on adventure after adventure, facing against the many oddities that the Land of Ooo offers. What type of dangers? Well...you’re just going to have to watch the show to find out.
Before I start praising the crap out of this show, there’s one thing I want to get off my chest. You see, I hate Top X lists that always end with “the one that started it all.” It comes across as lazy because there is no way the first story tops every other one after it. Case in point: when looking at the best episodes of your favorite shows, how often do you see the first episode making the top ten, hell, even the top five? Not often, I bet. And sure, you can make the argument that “Without X, there wouldn’t have been Y,” but is that even a fair comparison? Sure, Disney wouldn’t have been as big as it is now without Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs being a success, but does that make it right to ignore great movies like Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), and The Lion King (1994)? Sure, Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope is the reason why fans love to hate Star Wars in the first place, but how often do you hear people saying Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the franchise. And sure, the Marvel Cinematic Universe wouldn’t have existed without Iron Man being a box office hit, but with movies like Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, can you really say Iron Man is the best in the franchise anymore? To me personally, if you’re going to pick “the one that started it all,” then it better be something that can outshine “it all.” This is why I chose Adventure Time as the best-animated series of the 2010s. Not because it’s a show that practically sparked the existence of almost every show on this list, but because it really is that good of a series. Unfortunately, with a series that really is that good, there will be people who try to pick it apart. This is why I’m going to do my best to defend against some criticism that Adventure Time seems to face.
The first criticism I want to talk about is one that hasn’t even occurred to me until I watched JelloApocalypse's video called, “So This is Basically Adventure Time.” In that video, I realized that Adventure Time doesn’t really have a proper storytelling structure. Hell, most episodes don’t even have a conclusion. They just stop almost randomly. But there’s a remedy to this problem, and it's one that I discovered somewhat effortlessly during my rewatch of the show. And that solution is to stop looking at Adventure Time as a series of episodes and more of a series of experiences. What do I mean by that? Well, while watching, you can either have a good experience or a bad experience. A fun experience, or a depressing experience. A philosophically brilliant experience or a randomly stupid experience. All of which can happen separately or conjoined in every episode. Personally, I like this style of storytelling because I’m more likely to remember the experience of watching something rather than the basics of what is being viewed. However, as JelloApocalypse has proven, not everyone is going to be ok with this style. This is fine, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just remember that if it doesn’t work for you, that doesn’t mean it won't work at all. Case in point: there’s a reason that this show got ten seasons.
However, with those ten seasons come the inevitable seasonal rot. Which, in this case, can easily be explained. Halfway through season five of Adventure Time, series creator Pendelton Ward left and made Adam Muto the head showrunner. And where Ward’s style relied on being random and hilarious, Muto took the series in a more philosophical direction. Several fans were turned away from this aspect, but I like to argue that this isn’t seasonal rot and more of a series’ development. Tons of shows on this list went through their own transitions, some subtle and some drastic. Whether or not you’ll be ok with those decisions is entirely dependent on who you are. And personally, I actually enjoyed the direction that Adventure Time took. While I was entertained by how hilarious the original seasons were in Ward’s run, Muto caused me to think more intensely than any other show I have seen in my life. This is why, once again, I would like to point out that just because it didn’t work for you doesn’t mean that it won’t work at all.
But one thing that didn’t work for me, and one criticism that I’m inclined to agree with, were how some characters got treated in later seasons. Now to be fair, most of the characters actually become more interesting as the series goes on (Ice King, Marceline, BMO, Susan Strong, etc.) There are just two characters that got a little iffier compared to others: Finn and Princess Bubblegum. The main reason why Finn’s character seemed to fail is that the writers focused more on Finn's love life (or lack thereof). I genuinely believe that Adventure Time has some fantastic romantic relationships, but that aspect of Finn’s character is easily the most uninteresting. It’s even worse when an episode focuses on his armorous hangups through past...mistakes. I even heard that this decision ruined Finn as a character for some people, which I can totally see why. Luckily the show course-corrected itself, and by season six, it started focussing on an aspect of Finn’s character that is actually interesting: His family. Not to give away any spoilers, but let’s just say that Finn gets significantly more fascinating through this decision. Unfortunately, one decision that never got better was how the show treated the one and only Princess Bonnibel Bubblegum. This character started off as a gentle/playful ruler who was as sweet as her kingdom. Only to evolve into a sociopathic control freak who is obsessed with science. What went wrong is that the show goes so far as to say that she’s always been that way, even since she was a kid. I guess she just was good at hiding it in early seasons. Once again, the writers try their best to course-correct Bubblegum, but all they did was make her bearable than despicable.
But while Bonnie doesn't work for me, do you want to know what does? Literally everything else about this show. One of the reasons why Adventure Time is the best series on this list is because it has elements of every other show that has already been mentioned before it. You see, Adventure Time can have: Hilarious comedy, intense action, superb animation, creative ideas, compelling drama, catchy music, thought-provoking stories, good romantic subplots, gay romantic subplots, great lore and backstory, intriguing mysteries, and, most important of all, bacon pancakes. All of which can be handled in ten to eleven minutes, where most shows struggle within twenty-two.
But one element that stands out among the rest is Adventure Time’s serialized storytelling. You see, there are two different types of storytelling: Plotting and pantsing. Plotting is how it sounds: You come up with ideas beforehand and work your way into making them come to life. Pantsing is where the goal is to basically make things up as you go along and try to make everything connected afterward. The ladder is the route Adventure Time takes. Every single amount of lore, character development, and even surprise twists were thought up almost on the spot. And one might think that this makes things more complicated, but when I rewatched the series in 2019, a solid 99.9% of what’s written lines up. Sure, there are small things that get confusing or downright forgotten. But that’s the keyword: small. It’s the big things that the writers try their best at explaining away, which can be much appreciated. And while I can love a show for creating a well-crafted story, I got to give Adventure Time respect for doing the same thing just by improvising. But do you want to know the real reason why I stuck with this show? And why do all the elements mentioned before manage to work so well? The same reason why any show can work so well: The characters.
And yes, I know I just complained about how certain characters were nearly ruined in this series, but that doesn’t change how good they are. Almost every character that the show focuses on has a level of intrigue to them, and characters that don’t still manage to be incredibly entertaining, to the point where a worm’s butt can carry an episode by itself (Yes. Really). But nothing beats the central duo, and I’m being honest when I say they make the series enjoyable. Finn and Jake not only have such an entertaining brotherly dynamic, but the two of them are just so much fun that I can’t help but smile whenever they’re on screen. They’re easily the best thing about the show, as well as the most entertaining characters in it. This is saying something because Adventure Time has a LOT of characters. One might say too many. In fact, one could argue that Adventure Time suffers from the too-many-characters syndrome, which I can absolutely see. However, every character is so unique and creative that to this day, I still remember the Tree Witch in the episode “To Cut a Woman’s Hair.” From her voice to her design to even Tree Witch's creative and hilarious way to convince Finn to get her some princess's hair.
This brings me to another great thing about the show: Its endless amount of creativity. Everything that Adventure Time does is something you will never see anywhere else. From all the unique ways the show has Jake use his stretchy powers, to also having a vampire drink the color red instead of blood, Adventure Time is always a show that leaves me scratching my head wondering, “Why hasn’t someone else done this before?” And the best part is, no other show can do the ideas that Adventure Time has had. Because there is no way of doing it without coming across as a carbon copy. Which I can appreciate. Believe it or not, I would rather see an idea done once and never again, rather than repeated to the point where it becomes stale. Letting Adventure Time keep its creativity helps the show stand out among the rest and prevents it from being forgotten through time.
Thus, we come to the real reason why Adventure Time is the best-animated series on this list: Memorability. When doing a rewatch of the series, I was surprised by how many episodes I somehow remember. In fact, out of over two hundred episodes, I only manage to forget one (which coincidentally managed to be an episode I hate). I honestly don’t know why so many episodes managed to stick with me. Maybe because the show is so creative that it’s hard to forget. It's probably because the characters are instant icons that their impact just won’t leave me. Hell, perhaps it’s because the show is so gosh dang weird that my brain refuses to forget a second of it. No matter what the reason is, it all still stuck. And I’m not going to lie, I feel as though there are going to be a lot of shows I'll forget over the years. But ten years from now, something tells me I’m never going to forget Adventure Time.
Now that I think about it, there really have been many great cartoons over the previous decade. And we owe it all to Adventure Time. The act of being unique and creative with one’s ideas came from Adventure Time. The idea of being more mature and deciding what should and shouldn’t be for kids came from Adventure Time. The fact that a show needs well-written characters to tell a great story came from Adventure Time. Even certain shows were made because creators worked on Adventure Time (looking at you, Steven Universe). Is the show perfect? No. Far from it, even. But when looking back at the many great series we’ve gotten in the 2010s and the many great shows we’ll get in years to come, I realize that the fun will never end WITH Adventure Time.
(Especially since we’re still getting it with four hour long specials on HBOmax)

Jumin’s Route: Day 1
Picking up after the prologue.
Jumin scoffed to himself as he prepared for bed. Zen had made a proper fool of himself. Yoosung could be somewhat excused, given his age and lack of life experience. Zen should have known better than to throw himself at the newcomer though. For all that went, Seven wasn’t exactly reserved either.
“I wonder if I should speak to them, Elizabeth,” he murmured to the sleek, white body at the foot of his bed. He sat beside her. “This is all very strange and possibly dangerous. They should exercise a little caution.”
“Mrow?”
“Hmm, you’re right. We won’t find out anything by being too distant. There should be a balance, as in all things. Still, don’t you agree this is highly unusual? What could it mean that she is in Rika’s apartment, and how do we determine if she’s a friend or a threat?”
Elizabeth purred, stretched, and closed her eyes.
“Yes, rest first, and then we shall have answers. You’re quite right.” He reached to turn out his light but was stopped by the sudden ringing of his phone. He picked it up, expecting Assistant Kang, and was surprised to see MC’s name on the display instead.
Surprised, but curious, he answered the call. “Jumin Han speaking.”
“This is MC.”
“My phone has caller ID. But I like the fact that you identified yourself. So, to what do I owe this call?” His own words of caution echoed through his thoughts. He must be careful not to betray any information to this stranger while drawing out whatever he could about her.
When she said she was just wondering what he was doing, he felt vaguely annoyed. Who called someone they did not know, had not properly met, after midnight? He spoke calmly, but clearly, putting her in her place and ensuring that she would understand that he was not someone who would take such calls in the future.
She apologized almost instantly, and he felt bad for basically having scolded another adult. “I should say something positive to her,” he thought. “I admire your courage,” was the best he could find to say about the bold stranger on the phone. Yet, habit was a stronger force than even Jumin Han, and he reverted immediately to reminding her not to call unless there was an emergency.
“That is not how to give feedback. I just did it in reverse. I must resolve this,” his thoughts demanded of him. He added on, “Oh, however, I hope you are not foolish enough to not call me during an emergency just because I said this.”
“Have I become the robot they accuse me of being?” he wondered.
Well, it wouldn’t hurt to try to be a little more friendly. If MC had been duped into entering Rika’s apartment, she might be feeling frightened right now. Perhaps she had called just to hear another voice, and why wouldn’t she call him before the others? With compassion now guiding him, Jumin quickly made up something to say. “I was thinking about what to do with this wallpaper,” he explained. “Striped wallpapers are better…” He explained how stripes can be better at calming people when they are uneasy, hoping that it might give MC an idea for easing her nerves. Considering that the walls at Rika’s apartment might not have stripes, he offered to have the wallpaper changed for her.
“Yes, I think that will do for now. If MC follows my suggestion, she’ll find something with stripes to look at so that she can feel calmer,” he smiled to himself, glad to have had something worthwhile to offer. “Don’t stay up too late,” he said gently. “Now good night.”
The call ended, he placed the phone back on his nightstand and turned out the light. “Come to bed, Elizabeth,” he called to the dark room.
The softness of Elizabeth’s hair brushed against his arm before she leaned against him, laying as she did every night. She purred softly again, a sound that always ensured sleep would come quickly for him. Tonight, however, his mind replayed a sound he’d heard, a clear note in the cacophony of his life.
“I am MC.”
Morning
Jumin readied himself for work, following his usual routine. Each step served the purpose of preparing him physically and mentally for the long hours he would work. He enjoyed routine, thrived on it even, finding an almost spiritual peace in the series of small rituals.
This morning, though, the routine was disrupted by thoughts of MC’s sudden appearance and the surprise phone call late at night. He showered and wondered if she’d rested well in the strange surroundings at Rika’s apartment. He ate breakfast and wondered if she had anything to eat. He dressed and wondered whether he should check on her.
While feeding Elizabeth, he took out his phone and opened the app. Zen was already in the chat, and it seemed that MC had been through a few times. It seemed Yoosung had spoken before playing LOLOL again, and Assistant Kang had made sure to impart some words of wisdom regarding the role of part coordinator. Zen had, of course, flirted with her, taking the opportunity to see how much MC thought of him and complaining about not having a girlfriend. Yoosung had then complained about the same.
“With those two around, she’s going to take off and we’ll never solve the mystery,” he said to Elizabeth. He shook his head at their desperation. “I can’t imagine what MC must be thinking of all of us after their performances.”
Suddenly, the phone flickered, drawing his eyes back to the chat. MC had arrived.
“Jumin, don’t you have to go to work?” MC asked.
“Hmm, she is perhaps more aware of the realities of life than I imagined her to be,” he considered. “I was about to,” he typed.
Zen annoyed him, though, and so he resorted to the one thing he knew would make the actor complain. He posted a picture of Elizabeth.
MC’s immediate reaction, “Wow! So pretty!” brought a smile to Jumin’s face. Of course Elizabeth was pretty. It was nice to see someone else – someone other than Seven – admit it.
Zen, however, was not about to allow Jumin to speak of Elizabeth without interrupting. When he read Zen’s words about how Jumin treated his employees, he responded by trying to explain that when there’s a business relationship, you don’t expect affection in it. It’s business and nothing more.
“Isn’t it natural to just work as much as you get paid?” MC asked.
“Oh, good for her! So few people truly grasp this simple concept!”
“That is correct,” he replied.
“Elizabeth, dearest, I do think that Zen says some of these things just to have something negative to say about me,” he commented. With a smirk he typed back, “They should be honored to be my slaves. They are probably tears of joy.”
Jumin coughed in surprise at MC’s response.
“I’m pretty sure it’s tears of joy +_+”
“Oh, this could be quite entertaining, Elizabeth. It seems MC understands my sense of humor!” He chuckled audibly as he responded, pressing the joke forward, just to see what she would do.
Zen made it impossible for the playfulness to carry forward and Jumin left the chat, still smiling. MC found Elizabeth attractive – which meant she could see clearly. But she’d joined in on his joke and encouraged it. Had that been deliberate? He would have to find out.
Looking at the clock, he realized his driver was late. With a sigh, he called and found out there had been an accident. Driver Kim was nearby, but unable to get through. Well, such things do happen at times.
With nothing else to do, he sent a message to MC, attempting to complete his original goal and check on her well-being.
“Did you have breakfast yet?” he asked.
Her response did not answer the question but instead commented on how well he took care of himself. Finding it odd, he answered, “Isn’t it expected?”
Seeing that she was in the chat room again, he returned there. He sighed as if someone had just spilled paint on his floors. Seven was in the chat.
Seven was not perhaps Jumin’s favorite person. He was a menace where Elizabeth’s safety was concerned. At least he could speak freely about Elizabeth, and cats in general, when Seven was present. When MC again expressed appreciation for Elizabeth’s beauty, Jumin smiled.
Somehow the conversation switched to Seven’s work. It seemed to Jumin that MC became quieter, as if avoiding interacting with Seven. He tried to suggest that she could trust Seven, but when the hacker started talking about returning to Jumin’s home, he couldn’t help but deliver strict warnings. He liked the young man, but he didn’t trust him not to make trouble. “Not that I think this way without reason.” He wondered if MC would take his advice, or if he should deliver a stronger warning.
Before he could decide, a knock at the door alerted him to the arrival of Driver Kim. Bidding farewell to MC, Jumin once more left the chat and turned to face the day, for which he was now late. As soon as he was in the car though, he found himself sending another message to MC. This time, she agreed even privately that cats were the best animals. She must mean it, and no one who appreciated cats could be bad.
“I’m glad to meet a friend,” he replied sincerely, deciding that whatever else was happening, MC was now a friend, at the least a fellow lover of feline grace and beauty.
Midday
His day at the office dragged more than usual. As his lunch hour arrived, he checked the chat. He’d been thinking about MC all morning, dissatisfied that they’d had to break off their conversation. It was so rare to find someone who truly appreciated cats, and the prospect of finally knowing someone else who felt as he did was exhilarating.
Opening the RFA chat again, Jumin scanned over the logs. Yoosung had complained about V again. He frowned. “I must find a way to get him over this fixation,” he murmured to his empty office.
He saw that Jaehee had also spoken to MC about the party. It was commendable that his assistant showed interest in assuring MC had a clear concept of what to do for the party, even if she should have been working on the reports for his meeting tomorrow morning. Still, it was good to see that MC seemed to be taking her new position seriously. He appreciated people who could handle tasks with competence.
“Hello, Jumin.” MC’s message chimed brightly, and Jumin’s lips tugged into a thoughtful smile. This would make his quiet meal alone much nicer, having her to talk to. He returned the greeting and congratulated her again on joining
“It’s easy to enter, but leaving won’t be so easy.” Jumin frowned at himself as soon as he sent the message. “That will sound threatening. Why did I say that to her?”
Thankfully she didn’t seem to take it as a threat, only asking him why. He tried to think quickly, but only managed to add that MC was in Rika’s apartment with all the confidential information around. With a groan, Jumin changed his approach. Why was he so clumsy when speaking to this person? Was it just because she was new?
“I hope that you’ll take on the task and continue her work without any trouble,” he concluded.
“Don’t worry. I’ll do a good job,” she replied.
“Confidence in her abilities,” he mused. “I hope she’s not over-confident.” His fingers froze as he sent a message without thinking. “If you do a good job…” Blinking at the screen on his phone, Jumin realized that he’d been about to type in something about meeting her. He backed out the message and added, “We’ll get to host parties again. Don’t you want to make memories you’ll never forget?”
“I’d like to do it with you, Jumin.”
His fork froze halfway to his mouth. His eyes widened and he sucked in air suddenly. “No, that can’t be what she means. She hasn’t even met me. She must have misspoken.” He calmed his suddenly racing heartbeat before replying, thankful for the protective veil of the chat room where no one could see any response but the one he crafted.
A glance at the clock on his desk revealed that his lunch hour was rapidly drawing to a close. If he were to finish his meal properly, he would need to put the phone down. His nutritionist had cautioned him many times that he needed to allow himself the eat his meals without work or other distractions so that his body could process the food at maximum capacity.
It didn’t seem right to simply bow out though, so he explained quickly that he would be too busy to be in the chat much, but Jaehee was able to help in his absence. Placing the phone with the screen down, he took up his fork again.
…with you, Jumin
The words rolled through his mind like a stray breeze, stirring places within the mind of Jumin Han that had been disused for so long, they seemed overgrown with cobwebs. He didn’t taste the rest of his meal and drank far more water than usual. For some reason, his throat kept feeling very tight.
Evening
Had there ever been a longer day? Despite leaving for the office late, and closing the door behind him as he turned for home at a reasonable hour, the day had crawled by. As Driver Kim pulled the car into traffic, Jumin tugged his tie loose with a heavy sigh.
“There’s been an accident, sir. I apologize, but we’ll be a bit delayed getting you home tonight.”
“These things happen,” Jumin answered. “Please keep me posted if there is any additional delay.”
Driver Kim nodded and slid the glass partition closed.
Alone in the silence of his car, Jumin found his phone and checked over the notifications. On impulse, he opened the RFA app and called MC. He hadn’t spoken to her since lunch and wasn’t up to the chat room, but he wanted to check on her all the same.
He greeted her politely and offered to take a single question from her, expecting her to have at least one to ask about the RFA or the party.
“How does my voice sound?” MC asked.
Jumin paused, startled at the unexpected query. He smiled, amused at the idea of being asked to review the voice of a stranger. “… Speak again, slowly,” he instructed.
“Ju-min Han,” MC said, slowly, her voice soft as it drew goosebumps across his arms.
He fought back a cough as he replied. “I didn’t expect you to say my name. You’re quite bold for a newcomer. That was a bit of a surprise.” Words tumbled from his lips into the phone as he pulled the first two buttons of his shirt loose. It was terribly stuffy in the car today. Had Driver Kim neglected to turn on the air?
Jumin reigned in his rambling about meetings to add in the answer to the question he’d been asked, expressing that MC’s voice was as nice as Elizabeth’s. He shook his head at himself. What an odd thing to say. It was true, but even so…
“What are you doing?” MC asked.
This was another unexpected moment from the new RFA member. Jumin wasn’t used to people continuing to ask questions after he’d stated that he would only take one. Taken aback he agreed to answer the second question, but cautioned that he would not allow such liberties again.
Having mentioned that MC’s voice was as nice as Elizabeth’s, Jumin found himself missing his furry companion and expressed that he was anxious to get home to see her.
“You talk as if your cat is a person,” MC remarked.
“Of course. Who else do you think I’d treasure so much other than her?” he asked while noting that MC’s voice held no trace of judgement against him for caring so much about Elizabeth. With that consideration, he offered to continue the conversation.
MC asked how old he was, if he was the oldest in the RFA, both simple questions he answered easily. Her voice was more than good, it was quite entrancing if he were to be honest. It wouldn’t do to tell her so, not yet, but he found himself relaxing as they spoke.
Before he knew it, Driver Kim stopped the car and a glance out the window showed that he’d arrived home. As he began to end the call, MC stated that she wished they could continue speaking, and he found himself feeling similarly. “I’ll call you when I have time,” he promised, hanging up his phone as Driver Kim opened the door.
“I am home, Elizabeth,” he called, slipping his shoes off. He felt an unusually pleased smile at the sound of his cat’s voice, calling to him before she appeared from the bedroom. “Hello, my dear. Have you had a good day?”
“Mrow,” she answered, butting her head against his extended palm.
“I have heard a voice that is almost as nice as yours today,” he informed her. “Yours is still better, I can assure you with confidence, but it has surprised me.” With a scratch behind the ears, he rose. “Let’s get your brush, little one.”
This was one of the best parts of the day for Jumin. Drawing the brush through Elizabeth’s soft hair, exactly ten strokes on every side to ensure a healthy coat and skin, soothed even the deepest stresses away. She purred gently beneath his touch. It was as if her contentment spread through him, and he welcomed it.
With Elizabeth brushed, Jumin turned to his dinner. He chuckled when Elizabeth followed his evening grooming by jumping into the chair nearest him and bathing herself thoroughly. “I never do it quite so well as you, is that it?” he asked in amusement.
Evening settled softly over the city, turning the skies to a rainbow of gold and lavender. Jumin opened his phone and saw new emails waiting for responses from the office. With a groan, he skipped past the notifications and opened the RFA chat. As he hoped, MC was there. So was Zen, and Jumin rolled his eyes.
“Do you even know what sentimental means?” he asked. The following emoji made clear that the actor didn’t truly know the meaning of the word, as Jumin suspected.
“I should probably feel bad about this,” he commented to Elizabeth as she settled her back against his thigh. “But honestly, Zen just responds so easily to everything. I can’t seem to resist the urge.”
“It’s because of MC,” Jumin sent. Then he added, “Usually Zen is busy annoying me.”
With a smirk, he saw Zen begin to react. It was just too easy to tease him.
“Is it good that I’m here with you guys?” MC asked.
“Time will tell the net profit,” Jumin answered, calmly calculating his words to prod Zen further.
“If MC can’t handle Rika’s work very well, then she’s good for nothing. Just like Zen.”
He expected, having spoken to her and trusting his ability to read people, MC would know he didn’t think poorly of her. Whether she’d understand he was only tormenting Zen or not, he was unsure, but he didn’t want her to think he had a bad opinion of her.
“I first intend to try my best,” MC assured the two men.
“I wonder if MC will do well…?” Jumin mused. He hoped she would. That would mean having the parties to add a sense of meaning beyond C&R to his life, and a chance to meet her in person. He wondered if she was as easy to look at as her voice had been to listen to.
“If I try my best, then everything will be good.”
“I like the answer.” Jumin smiled warmly at her determined and confident response.
Zen announced he had to go and meet with his director and Jumin noticed that Elizabeth had begun to give him signals that she was ready for her dinner.
“I should go and provide Elizabeth her meal,” he explained.
“Tell your cat hello, Jumin.”
MC’s words made him blink in mild confusion. She hadn’t met Elizabeth, so would it do any good to pass the greeting along? He glanced down at the sleek, white body beside him.
“Hmm. I’m not making any promises, but I’ll try.”
Jumin stretched as he stood, calling Elizabeth to her dinner. He lowered her bowl to the feeding mat and paused. “I know you haven’t met her, but MC has asked that I tell you hello. I feel you’ll meet her someday though, so perhaps you’d like to know that she’s already considerate in regard to you.”
Elizabeth sniffed delicately at her food and looked up as Jumin spoke. “Mau,” she remarked calmly before beginning to eat.
“Hmm, you’re… you’re welcome. I wasn’t sure if you’d appreciate being greeted so by a stranger. I’m happy it pleases you.”
No sooner had Jumin cleared away Elizabeth’s dish than his phone rang. MC was calling him? He smiled and answered the call, being free at the moment. He was unprepared for MC to ask whether he’d had dinner or not. It was not often that anyone thought to ask him about his meals. Still, as she had taken time to call and ask, it was probably best that he make a suggestion for her own meal. With a glance at the freshly washed dish, he recommended salmon, because Elizabeth enjoyed it so much.
“If your palate is just as sophisticated, I’m sure you and I will make fine meal partners,” he commented. “Why did I say that? She’ll think I’m asking her to dinner!”
Seeking an escape, he explained that this was his personal break time and that he didn’t usually take calls at this hour. He ended the call, shaking his head at himself. He’d been polite enough with her, but again he’d offered more than he intended. “I shall merely have to be more aware when speaking to her. My place is only to watch over her and ensure she has what she needs to manage the invitation process for a party, should V decide we will have one.”
His mind wandered back to the point he’d made in the chat, that if there was no party, there would be no reason to have her with the RFA and she would likely be removed from the app. The thought made him frown, though he wasn’t sure why, aside from his own – admittedly unusual – curiosity.
Feeling restless, Jumin decided to go to the gym. It was not his usual time for exercise, but he knew that the physical exertion would calm his mind again. As the treadmill rolled its track beneath his feet, he let his thoughts roam freely.
That V had allowed a stranger, someone who shouldn’t have had access to the RFA app, to remain among them was odd. He hadn’t answered Jumin’s questions, nor had he called. All he’d done was ask Jumin to watch over the newcomer. “To what end?”
Though generally considered distant, Jumin was not a cold man. It seemed cruel to offer friendship and inclusion to someone while also leaving the possibility of removing all of that at a moment’s notice. Besides, wouldn’t it be better for the RFA to hold the parties if it were determined that MC was no threat to the group or its members? Truth be told, he had missed the excitement and the activity that came with the extravagant gatherings. Most parties he attended left him wishing only to be left at home for days, but the RFA parties were different.
“Then what I need to do is ensure that we do hold parties again. If I do that, there won’t be a reason to remove MC, she will have us as friends and we will have our purpose again.” He stepped off the treadmill and called the only person he knew who might object strongly enough to sway V against the idea.
After the third call went to voicemail, Jumin frowned. Jaehee did not typically avoid his calls. This was bothersome. Not that he minded not having to hear the voice that was so tied to the office, but he needed to be certain that she was on board.
Returning to his penthouse, Jumin showered and opened the app again. He’d been in the chat room more today than in recent months, but now he had a mission. Now he was intent on securing MC’s position in the RFA.
Thankfully, his assistant was in the chat, as was MC. Before he could raise the question, Jaehee asked if he’d called earlier. Taking the opening he asked, “I was curious if anyone was against hosting the party again. The person most likely to be against it is Assistant Kang.”
“Why would Jaehee be against it?” MC questioned.
With a chuckle, Jumin typed, “Because she doesn’t want to work.”
As the teasing continued, much to Jaehee’s obvious exasperation, Jumin pressed her for confirmation about the party. He laughed openly at her reason for supporting the parties though, reading her comment that his performance was best when they’d been holding parties. While it was true he’d used the opportunities afforded to create new connections for C&R, he never exactly “gave up” on cat-related projects. How little she knew that he had managed several deals to help his projects come to fruition thanks to the parties.
He let her keep her ideas about what he did with his time. Thinking about the cat-related ventures reminded him, he needed to leave Elizabeth with Jaehee again. Sadly, he needed to leave town for a business trip. Just as he’d alerted Jaehee, his father began calling.
To MC he said, “We will talk later.” He took his father’s call quickly, relieved that he could count on Jaehee to support keeping MC in the RFA.
Jumin and his father were fairly close, as father and son relationships went. Though his father owned C&R, these evening calls were rarely about business. It was his father who had taught him to take time away from work in the evenings and to relax and enjoy life instead of never pausing. Their conversation went much longer than usual, and by the time it ended, Jumin was itching for a shower. He turned his phone off to avoid interruption for the rest of the evening and set about cleaning up and preparing for bed. He would have broken sleep tonight, having to leave early for his trip, and needed to be sure that what sleep he could get would be restful.
As he settled in, Jumin hummed softly to himself and Elizabeth. He was in high spirits tonight, despite the impending business trip. Elizabeth was with him, MC was part of the RFA and he’d secured the most important ally in keeping her there. Anyone who genuinely appreciated cats was worth keeping around.

Valentine’s Day Gift Exchange
Just a tad early, but here’s my Valentine’s Day gift for @missmonoclemari! Hope you like it hon!!!
Title: The Midnight Garden
Author: @bilgesnipebitch
Word Count: 1275
Pairing: Mari (@missmonoclemari’s oc) x Jihyun
Warnings: angst if you squint, V Route and Secret Ending spoilers!!
And thank you to @jihyxnkim for hosting this event! (and my two lovely beta readers/editors)
“Don’t you agree, Mari?” The Savior looked at me expectantly. “Oh, yes. I guess you do have a point,” honestly, I wasn’t sure what she was even talking about with all her metaphors about light and dark and sun and demons, but I thought it best to agree anyways. “So, what do you think of the garden at night? It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” “It is, yeah—really peaceful,” I saw her eyes light up at my words in a mix of joy and something almost... sadistic. It sent a chill down my spine. “So you’ll want to stay here, right? We could enjoy walks like this every night, just you and me,” she rested a cold hand on my shoulder, but I didn’t dare protest.
I did have to admit though, the garden was stunning. Sure, the flowers were pretty enough during the day, but the moon’s gentle light bathed the whole area in a sort of ethereal glow—like something straight out of a dream. I looked around to soak in the scenery a short while before finally giving in to that alluring whisper of curiosity in the back of my mind. “Savior... can I ask you something?” Her face dropped somewhat, but she eventually conceded. “What—“ I swallowed the fear creeping up my throat, “what’s your real name?”
And that twisted look in her eye came right back as she stared into my soul. “Hmm, I think you already know the answer to that, Mari,” she laughed. It was true, I had my suspicions that this mysterious woman who called herself “the Savior” was actually Rika—the Rika—the very woman who founded the RFA. But it couldn’t be... V said she committed suicide. He said he saw her jump into the ocean with his own two eyes. Surely, he wouldn’t lie about something as serious as this... And besides, everybody described Rika as so loving and kind; the woman walking beside me just seemed anything but. Still, from the few pictures I’d seen of Rika, I couldn’t deny that this woman did bear a striking resemblance.
“Come on, Mari. Let me show you my favorite place in this entire facility,” the Savior led me by the hand toward a small pavilion, away from the few people who happened to be wandering around the garden as well at such a late hour.
Although I could certainly see the appeal, it still surprised me how common a practice it was in this place to just take a leisurely stroll through a garden in the middle of the night.
“You see? It’s much quieter here,” she delicately plucked a rose from a nearby bush and breathed in its aroma.
I noticed it pricked her thumb as a small rivulet of blood trickled down to her dainty wrist, but it didn’t seem to bother her. “So quiet, you’d almost think we’re alone,” she spoke softly, as if there were someone nearby she didn’t want overhearing. “W-we’re not alone?” The Savior shook her head and gave a twisted grin. “For one, there are dozens of cameras surrounding this place. There are cameras covering nearly every inch of Magenta, after all.” Her voice became even softer as she continued, “And I’ll let you in on a little secret: this place is crawling with guards, all hidden in the shrubbery.” I furrowed my brows. Why would the Savior need so much surveillance in this particular spot of all places? And then it hit me. “You’re using me as bait, aren’t you?” My eyes grew wide with realization. The Savior just chuckled darkly and gently stroked my cheek.
“Hmm, clever girl. I didn’t want to use you like this, believe me, but I had to draw out that annoying fly somehow.”
Just then, as if on cue, a mint-haired figure in dark robes materialized from the shadows. I felt my heart drop straight into my stomach and send that familiar sinking feeling of dread rippling through the rest of my body. “Rika, please! Don’t drag her into this!” So she was Rika after all. “It’s too late, Jihyun. She’ll stay in this place forever. She will know paradise, but you, of course, won’t be nearly as fortunate.”
She gave a chuckle, her voice laced with bloodlust, “No, I have special plans for you.” “V, get out of here! It’s a trap!” I pleaded, my heart pounding itself straight out of my chest. “No, I’m not leaving you, Mari. And I’m not letting Rika harm anybody else,” V lunged forward, grabbing my arm, and pulling me away from the woman. With a defiant glare, he stepped between us, and left a protective hand gently holding on to my wrist. I chewed the inside of my cheek anxiously, but, as much as I tried, I couldn’t think of any way to get us out of this mess. At this point, our best bet would probably be trying to reason with Rika. Then again, from the few moments I’d spent with her, Rika didn’t exactly seem like the reasonable type. “Just leave her out of all this, Rika; she’s innocent. It’s me you want.” Rika stared at V, her expressive eyes now murderous and cold.
“She chose to come here, Jihyun. She chose paradise. She wants to stay here with us.” “No, I don’t, Rika. You tricked me into coming here. I don’t want any part of your ‘paradise,’” I struggled to keep my cool from behind V, hoping deep down that maybe we could still find some sort of peaceful solution to this mess, but it seemed Rika wasn’t having any of it.
In fact, she was livid. She set her jaw and stepped closer and closer to V, who stood steadfast as my shield. “You don’t have to do this, Rika,” he pleaded. “Yes I do. This is what you’ve made of me, Jihyun. I will never be happy until you’re gone.” V sighed reluctantly, gently squeezing the hand that lingered on my arm, perhaps only subconsciously, but it gave me a bad feeling. “Then just take me. You can do whatever awful things you want to me, just let Mari go. She isn’t a part of this.” I reached up to touch V’s shoulder, “No, I can’t let you do that!” “Don’t worry, I’ll be alright,” he said with a sympathetic smile, but we both knew better than to believe that. “Well, it doesn’t matter anyways,” Rika laughed. “You’re both staying here, whether you like it or not.”
At the snap of her fingers, half a dozen guards stepped out of their hiding places. V’s grip on my arm tightened as he began to back away cautiously, but the guards were on us at once. I kicked and flailed and hit, panic beginning to flood my system, but I just couldn’t get out of their vice-like hold. “Mari! Stay strong! I’ll find you!” V yelled, struggling against the guards’ attempts to drag him away. “And don’t drink anyth-“ his voice became muffled as they put a cloth over his mouth and nose. Tears pricked at my eyes as I watched his body go limp, and they dragged him away like a sack of dirt. “You see, Mari? That’s what happens to people who try to ruin our paradise. Don’t we deserve to be happy just as much as anybody else?” Rika reached out to touch my cheek again, but I jerked my head away from her touch. “You’ll never get away with this, Rika. The members of the RFA care about each other; they’re like a family.” I paused a beat and looked up into Rika’s cruel eyes, “and I have faith in them.”

MysticMessenger Misconception
Myth: Rika is evil.
It's more of her being misunderstood and going down the wrong path unknowingly. She suffered from multiple mental illnesses such as anxiety, depression and hallucinations. This causes her to lose touch with reality, also known as Psychosis. People who have Psychosis have inappropriate thoughts, feelings and behaviour and are disconnected from the reality around them without knowing the disconnection. This is just a theory, but there are many strong evidence suggesting this.

Due to her anxiety, the hallucinations started and she began to believe that she needed to save people from what she perceived as a bad world. Her anxiety was excessive, causing her brain to have too much stimulation, flooding the brain with "sensory imput".

In her case, the circuit's in her brain got jammed. Her brain couldn't make sense of the current environment, so it generates its own sensations, it starts hallucinating.
Rika started dating V after V noticed her looking at his exhibited picture in a museum, stating that she love the picture because she feels that "all my (her) fears disappear" and she feels the "consistent love and warmth" emitting from his piece.
While this may seem normal, it could help explain her experience from her past. Being adopted, only for her adoptive mother to regret doing so, would have given her a huge blow. It would have lowered her self-confidence greatly and have no parental figure to look up to. In the “R.F.A Top Secret” book located in the Character concept section, Rika was stated to be (see below)
If she absorbed what her adoptive mother said when she was young, what type of damage would she have faced? Not loved that much in her childhood, with her real mother committing suicide, there's very slight doubt that she slowly went beserk.

Parents are important, they play the biggest role in life and greatly affect mental, physical, financial and career development. When dealt with a tough situation (such as Rika being bullied in school), a child usually can confide into his/her trusted adult. However, Rika dealt with those problems alone. She couldn't balance her persistent emotional pain (distress due to factors such as prolonged anxiety, depression, guilt, anger, loneliness and fear) and thus started having delusions.
As she grew up, she knew that something was wrong with her.

If she haven't suffered from these severe mental illnesses, she would have continued being a caring and kind-natured person, wanting people to achieve happiness.
However, her mind became even more foggy with the death of her dog, Sally. Sally died after getting hit by a car. Sally was blind due to the cataracts in her eyes, and Rika refuse to pay for the surgery. Rika mourned for Sally and blamed herself for Sally's death.
Regretting about what happened, she tried to fix things. As she does so, she probably thought that she permenantly fixed her mistake of being unable to help people. Rika fell deeper and deeper into the delusion of her being a "savior", rescuing people from the pains and sins of the world, that she has great importance and power. This could have come from wanting to change her previous self in her childhood where she believed that she wasn't treasured (e.g., being bullied and Yoosung's aunt telling Rika she regretted adopting her).

Again, this is a theory that is only built on by facts that support it. I'm now going to use a theory by Freud, who's said by mordern psychologists to be a fraud. However, the theories used here are something to consider.
The Id, Ego & Superego (3 parts of the mind)
Babies are born with Id, a selfish desire that typically wants immediate gratification (e.g. wanting to be fed immediately by crying). When they're about 2 years old, they develop the Ego, which operates by the reality principle (to survive, you need to be realistic & plan for the future) & prevents people from following their desires created by Id. The Superego develops around 1-3 years after the Ego, it contains the conscience, valuing morals. The Superego merges between the Id & Ego, it makes the person feel good about doing something right and guilty for something they've done wrong.
How is this related to Rika?
There's a higher chance of a not fully developed Superego if the person doesn't have a good relationship with his/her parents. When applied to criminal behaviour, a not fully developed Superego could account for those who show no guilt or remorse for their crimes.
This could explain why Rika wasn't seen to regret injuring V after a fight they had when Rika broke up with him, even calling him a traitor and says she's glad he's blind as she'll be free to do whatever she wants. In the picture below (which I got from the internet), Rika was seen to be going crazy, hurting V, her own fiancee.
People are saying that even with the past she experience, she shouldn't have created the cult Mint Eye and brainwashed Saeran.
However, she created Mint Eye during her delusions, thinking it was the best choice, wanting to eliminate fear and pain in the world, for Mint Eye to reach a state of happiness in an everlasting party, even better than the RFA parties she hosts.
Remember, she had rejected counseling for her mental illness after taking 3 weeks of it, stating that

So how did she cope with this "darkness" inside her? I'm going to use another one of Freud's theories, the defence mechanism.
The defence mechanism provides ways to unconsciously protect ourselves from unpleasant memories or ideas. However, over-use causes problems.
Rika used a way called Displacement. To take her mind off her past, she diverts her pented up anger from her childhood into another activity. She was frustrated, she took her anger out on Saeran by brainwashing, drugging and tricking him to believe he was abandoned by Saeyoung when they were younger.
She overused this technic a lot, which eventually became what is viewed as bullying, causing Saeran to become very paranoid and angry towards Saeyoung for "abandoning" him, wanting to kill him for revenge.
I believe the reason why Rika tricked Saeran is because she originally wanted the RFA members to join Mint Eye. The anger Saeran had would cause him to better learn about hacking, so he could hack in and make members join Mint Eye (e.g. Yoosung in bad ending). In differing routes, Rika was more set on killing the RFA members and made Saeran set bombs in the apartment.
She regretted her actions (as seen in Secret Ending 1) when she somewhat break through her delusions and came back to partial reality and grieves for V, who died from a gun shot shot by Saeran.
After explaining everything, I'm not trying to justify her behaviour, there are many other people with mental illnesses such as Psychosis and they are nowhere near being like Rika. I'm trying to make people understand it and see why she wasn't trying to be evil.

I'M BEING A REBEL AND GOING OFF THE BOOK HERE... Karma/Klaude and Lucette
OMG YES I haven’t thought about this game and its ships in a while dbhjfkdsj It’s been too long... I am so glad to analyse these two yes
Send me a ship and I’ll tell you…
Who is more likely to hurt the other?
LUCETTE OMG. Because spoilers she literally does and that moment got Kat and I screaming and hooked on the game fhsdkfnsjd. But aside from canon plot, Klaude has so much poise, he’d never accidentally hurt his princess… While Lucette… Is a firecracker. She might somewhat-accidentally beat him up when she’s super mad pff :x. Also he was training her to wield a sword so during that training Klaude would know how to control himself to avoid hurting her, while she would be giving it her all and possibly hurt him.
Who is emotionally stronger?
Oh jeez these two broken royals. Lucette, I believe. She let a ton of bitterness into her heart from her past angst, but still, never let her angst break her. She always kept going, even pushing through the bitterness and becoming a better person in the end :’D. Klaude had them mood swings and breakdowns from his angst so yeah Lucette wins this one vndkjlsnfds
Who is physically stronger?
Klaude. Magic doesn’t count as physical strength :V (Wait, did Lucette even learn that she had magic in the Karma route??)
Who is more likely to break a bone?
Hmmm………. I wanna say… Lucette? I’ll say it again that Klaude has so much poise, and is very skilled with the sword, and light on his feet; even if he gets hurt I think it’d be very rare that he gets hurt in such a way as to break a bone. Lucette tho, is kinda more clumsy and reckless than he is, so. Might just trip or something pFF rip
Who knows best what to say to upset the other?
Lucette hands down the dang savage princess
Who is most likely to apologize first after an argument?
Klaudeee. I think… this happened in canon actually? I SAID IT’S BEEN A WHILE. Lucette is stubborn and Klaude is too needy to go long with his princess being mad at him XD. She’d have him wrapped around her little finger pfff
Who treats whose wounds more often?
Lucette. Though, as royals, they’d probably have some nurses or something for tending to wounds.
Who is in constant need of comfort?
Hmm….. Well these two both got their fair share of angst… Klaude is just more dramatic lol. Klaude needs more comforting he’s a big baby XD. I can see him even purposely acting overdramatic over things that don’t even really upset him, just to get some extra comforting words/kisses (not without an eyeroll tho) from Lucette.
Who gets more jealous?
Hmm…….. I can see these two getting equally jealous pfffff. Klaude is dramatic and would fite any guy that tried to hit on Lucette (..actually isn’t that canonically kind of why he hated Rumple tho pffff), and Lucette is a savage and would frickin glare icy daggers at any girl who tried to hit on Klaude. At the same time, I can see them showing their loyalty to each other by also being savages to the person they themselves are being hit on by XD.
Who’s most likely to walk out on the other?
fnhjbsdkfh I hate this question......... Ummm... I guess I’d have to say.. Klaude. Cuz he had that whole selfish-thing going on with him. I guess I can see, if he ever got really damaging-ly angry at Lucette for some reason.... He’d be way more open to giving up on a struggling relationship than she would. Lucette is hecka stubborn, so I think that if their relationship was ever in a bad place, she would fight unrelentingly to mend it. But Klaude has his whole issues with being selfish, so..... ;______;
Who will propose?
Klaude! He did in canon, didn’t he??
Who has the most difficult parents?
Well Lucette’s psycho evil witch mom takes the cake for that title... But... was anyone even aware about the truth about her mom in the Klaude route? They stopped the evil plot before it even got to resurrecting her mom... So does it not count if they weren’t aware of her mom being difficult (more than difficult pfff)?
Who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public?
Mmmm I think it would be pretty equal with these two :3
Who hogs the blankets?
………….Lucette?
Who gets more sad?
Well Klaude is the more dramatic one, but…… His angst is in the past once they’re a couple. I can see Lucette still getting sad sometimes from dwelling too much on the past – missing her mother (since she didn’t know she was evil in the Klaude route right?), mourning Fritz, regretting her past coldness towards everyone… She’s got more baggage than Klaude.
Who is better at cheering the other up?
AHHHH THEY’RE BOTH REALLY THOUGHTFUL AND CARING TOWARDS EACH OTHER. I’m gonna say it’s equal with them. Lucette gave him that rose pin that he got emotional over, and Klaude came back early from a long trip away and surprised her! They’re both super sweet to each other and, when it’s something from their bae at least, not that hard to please.
Who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes?
They both too proper to do this :V.
Who is more streetwise?
Klaude. Lucette was shut up in her castle for most of her life…
Who is more wise?
Mmmm….. They’re both rather….. immature and need advice from others rip. Lucette might be more wise though… Since Klaude’s judgement can be clouded by his emotions easily?
Who’s the shyest?
Lucette. KLAUDE IS TOO EXTRA TO BE SHY
Who boasts about the other more?
Klaude. AGAIN. EXTRA. He’d freaking arrange a parade celebrating how adorable and great his waifu is XD
Who sits on who’s lap?
Lucette sits on his lap of course. Tho. I can imagine Klaude not being against sitting on her lap when he’s being annoying and overdramatic XD
#THANKS FOR THIS KAT#IM GETTING FEELS FOR THIS GAME AND ITS SHIPS AGAIN#AND EVERYTHING#HHHHH SO GOOD#cinderella phenomenon#klaude#karma#lucette#lucette x klaude#dicesuki#answers#meme#O T FRIGGIN P’S#even tho basically all the ships in this otome game are otp

Everlasting Party - Mystic Messenger Time Loop AU (pt 33)
<- Previous Chapter | Chapter Index | Next Chapter ->
Summary: You’re caught in a time loop during the 11 days leading up to the RFA’s party unless you can do… what, exactly?
13+ Small spoilers for Day 10 of Jumin’s route, mostly regarding his third Bad End.
A/N: Allllrighty, after another long break I have more EP chapters for you! I’ve already written the next few chapters, too, so look forward to it :) Thanks so much for the people who come back to read this! I recognize a lot of your URLs and it makes me happy seeing your tags/comments/likes on all the chapters. I always love feedback, so feel free to drop me an ask! (or even just write “AHHHHH” in the tags or something lol)
Un-beta’d because my beta is currently busy - I might look for someone to do the next couple of chapters, if anyone’s up for it. Let me know!
“I’m sorry for the trouble my friend has caused you.” V sits across from you in Jumin’s company car. Though night is falling, he’s still wearing sunglasses and you can’t help but wonder what Jumin meant when he asked V about his eyes earlier.
“No, no, it’s not his fault, really. I’m the one who should apologize. I didn’t mean to make such a big fuss, and I’m sorry you had to come out here to get me yourself…” You flip your phone over in your hands. “And um, I guess I didn’t really say this while we were at Jumin’s, but it’s nice to finally meet you, V.” Surprisingly enough, you really mean it; this is the first time you’ve met V in person. He’s a bit taller than you’d imagined, and his hair really is as blue as it seems in his profile picture. He’s also got a calming sort of presence you hadn’t expected, especially given how suspicious you’d seen him acting.
“Yes, I’m sorry it’s under these circumstances. I’d hoped to meet you at the party.”
You really doubt there will be a party; not when you’ve screwed up things this badly. In fact, you’d been quite surprised that you woke up in Jumin’s apartment this morning, having gone to sleep completely convinced you were going to be reset soon. Between Elizabeth the 3rd’s disappearance, Jumin’s disastrous mental state, and whatever had happened on Yoosung and Seven’s road trip, almost nothing seemed to be going the way you had hoped. At least nothing bad had happened to V on the fifth day like it had so many times before…
“By the way, V… Seven was looking for you earlier. He seemed pretty distressed. Do you know what’s bothering him?”
You wonder if you see him twitch slightly at the question. “Luciel is… I’m sure he’ll be himself again soon. I’ve had some difficulties with my phone recently but I’ll get in contact with him when I can.”
‘Difficulties with his phone’ huh…
Should you ask him the other questions? Will it just reset? Does it matter if it resets now when this day is probably already a lost cause? But what if you’re wrong and it doesn’t reset tonight, but if you ask V the wrong thing you’ll get kicked out of this loop before you can find out what’s after today? It is the tenth day, after all. Just one more day and it’s possible you’ll be free of this loop… not likely, but possible.
Well… if you must, you’ll probably be able to get to this point again and make a different decision. But for now, you need to know. “You know more about Mint Eye than you’re telling us. Why would a cult like that be after us? And who is their hacker?”
V doesn’t reply immediately. It’s hard to read his expression in this lighting, especially with his eyes hidden behind sunglasses. “I’m sure you have a lot of questions,” he says slowly. “I’m afraid I can’t answer them all now. If you’re worried about the party, everything will go smoothly. I’d like to solve this problem without troubling you and the other RFA members too much.”
You already were bothered, though. How selfish of him to think he could try to solve everything on his own. “V—” you start, but he cuts you off as the car slows to a stop beside a building.
“We’ve arrived,” he says. “I’m sorry I can’t go to Rika’s apartment with you. I hope you’ll be safe finding your way back from here.”
“I…” You look out the window and see the familiar grand entrance to C&R’s offices, then glance back at V. “I’ll be fine,” you say, “but V—”
“I’ll see you at the party tomorrow. Please leave everything to me and finish preparing.”
You hesitate, but eventually open the car door and climb out. “Goodbye, V.”
You watch the car pull out of C&R’s driveway and merge back into traffic before walking towards your bus stop. Well, that was useless. V didn’t tell you anything you don't already know.
Does he think he's somehow protecting the RFA by keeping secrets from them? Why? Whatever the problem is, surely they can figure out a solution together. Jumin certainly has the resources, and Seven's hacking can get them the information they need.
Seven... you recall how he left the last chatroom seeming quite unlike himself. You'd tried to call him afterwards, but he hadn't picked up. Just what had happened to make him like that?
Your bus pulls up to the stop and you get on, pulling out your phone when you sit down. You find Seven's name in your contacts and dial his number.
It rings for a long time and you pull your phone away from your ear, disappointed, when suddenly there's a click. "... Seven?"
"Haa..." He breathes a sigh in your ear. "Hello..." he says after a pause. "It's you..."
"Yes, I called because I was worried. Are you... are you alright...?"
He laughs, or maybe he's crying – it sounds like an odd combination of the two. Seven, crying? "No, I’m not…” he says. “My heart’s crumbled into bread crumbs… So sad... my poor bread crumbs..."
Bread... crumbs? "Seven?" You hesitate. "Seven, you went to Mint Eye with Yoosung... didn't you? What happened?"
"Haha..." He laughs again, but his voice sounds like something inside him is breaking. "You don't really care about me though... you worry about everyone else... I'm nothing..."
He thinks you don't care about him? It's true you don't always understand his sense of humor, and you haven't really spent time with him in any of the loops the way you have with, say, Zen and Jaehee, but you never realized how much you relied on his quirky jokes and amusing chatroom antics until that was gone. You stare at your reflection in the window of the bus as the city zooms by outside. "I do care, Seven. You saw something there, didn't you? Help me understand."
He sighs loudly and doesn't speak right away. "The person who hacked the RFA app... the one who led you to the apartment. They're the same person." “Who is he? He was there, wasn’t he? You said you met someone.” Does he know Unknown? If you could just find out who he is…!
“He wasn’t supposed to be there…”
“What did he look like?” Your heartbeat thumps loudly in your ears. “Seven, is his hair bleached? With mint eyes?”
Seven is quiet and you realize your hands are shaking hard enough to drop your phone. You tighten your grip and press it closer to your ear. “Who is he? How do you know him?”
He’s not saying anything. Why is he so quiet? Say something, dammit! Does Seven know who Unknown is? Does he know why Mint Eye is after the RFA? What did they see at Mint Eye? What is Seven not telling you?
“Who is he, Luciel?”
“I can’t tell you… no one was supposed to know…”
“Seven, please.” You lower your voice. “Who is he? Why do you know him? And why is he attacking the RFA?”
There’s a faint beeping sound and the line goes dead silent. You pull the phone away from your ear. Call Ended, 2:23.
No, no, no. You’re this close to finding out who Unknown is. This close to answers, this close to maybe making it out of the loop. What happened during that road trip? Would Yoosung tell you? Does Seven just not trust you enough? Did you make another mistake?
You click the button to signal your stop to the bus driver and manage to get off and start walking back to Rika’s apartment.
You’ve made a mistake somewhere; you must have. Will you be able to do this loop again? But where are you going wrong? When Elizabeth escaped? Dealing with Sarah? Going back to Rika’s apartment while Jumin was in such a state had to be wrong, too… but why?
The familiar paranoia sets in as you step into the elevator to ascend to the 14th floor. But… Seven said he took care of whatever was happening at Mint Eye… so it should be okay… right?
You punch in the code to unlock the apartment door and quickly lock it behind you. All the lights are off. ...Did you turn the kitchen light off when you left?
Still standing by the door, you feel along the wall to flip the switch on. You’re just… being paranoid, probably…
Your fingers find the switch. Flick.
“You’re finally here.”
That voice.
No…
“It’s you.” You wish your voice wasn’t so shaky.
He’s standing in the corner of the room, making no motion to move towards you. Almost like he knows you won’t run away. His jacket hangs off one of his shoulders, giving you a clear view of the tattoo of an eye on his arm.
You let your hand fall to your side. In his hand… is a switch. Your breath leaves your lips in a puff and you can feel your heart sinking into your stomach. “Who are you?” You can’t bring yourself to look at his face, your gaze fixated on that stupid switch in his hand…
“I’m the angel who’s come to take you to paradise~” His voice has a somewhat playful tone to it. He’s not… teasing you, is he? Is this a game to him?
“You say that, but I know what that switch does.” You tear your eyes away from it to look him in the eye. “Don’t lie to me. Who is Seven to you?”
His mouth twists into a grimace. “Your precious redhead… is nothing but an annoyance. A vile bug meant to be squashed.” He looks at the switch in his hand. “He might have gotten us this time… but I plan to have the last word. Everyone went on a trip to find a new Magenta. Except me… since I have to take responsibility for everything and be here. I don’t deserve to be happy.
“I wanted to take revenge on him myself… but I still haven’t figured out the security at his house.” He clenches his fingers into a fist. “But there is one thing my saviour left for me. This switch… I’ll use it to give everyone a new beginning.” He glances in your direction, then looks away again. “I wanted to talk to you… but it’s too late, now. I messed up.”
You’re starting to question if he understands what the switch actually does. You take a slow step forward and his eyes snap to yours. He holds out the switch threateningly.
“Wait!” you say, holding up your hands. “Don’t press it yet. I won’t move.”
His brow furrows and he stares at you intently. You can see sweat beads on his forehead. Is he… nervous? “Tell me your name,” you say. Give me something, anything to go on…
His eyes widen, then narrow in suspicion. “Why don’t you ask your hacker,” he says, and drops his gaze to the object in his hand, his mouth set in a grim line.

Jumin Secret Ending
Okay so a while ago, I was having many deep and meaningfuls with the lovely @ellieartcave and we both emphatically agreed that there was something sorely lacking in Mystic Messenger… an ending where V lived. While she came up with something different but just as awesome, for me the only thing that made sense and still work canonically is for the other Deep Route boy- my baby Juju- to have a secret ending.
Here are the very rough, very vague notes that I’ve taken in regards to what I was planning to do over the span of 7-10 chapters... but with what seems to be the V route/content coming up... I felt that my story would no longer be necessary... but I still wanted to share it :)
- After the party everyone is merry and happy… but not Saeyoung- and V, finally back home and with the people he calls family… confesses to Saeyoung. About everything. Mint Eye, Rika and of course Saeran. He is understandably angry and punches V which causes Jumin to get his security to hold Saeyoung back until he calms down.
- He doesn’t, how could he? His brother was taken by some screwed up cult instead of loving happily. He was brainwashed and hated him. Felt abandoned. “You’re going to fix this V! You are going to come with me right now and you’re helping me fix this mess you helped create.” “Of course I am. Of course I will.”
- However, it all takes time and planning and careful execution so as not to tip off Mint Eye that they know any better.
- By the time that happens, it’s Jumin and MC’s wedding and once again, everything is happy and perfect.
- However upon their return, it is time to go through with the plan.
- The entire RFA plus a special tactical crew that Jumin had hired invade and take Rika and the other cultists.
- Saeyoung tries to talk Saeran, only to see how far his brother had truly fallen. Saeran seeing his Saviour in handcuffs and being taken away- blames his brother for ruining everything all over again… and tries to shoot him.
- V, takes the bullet for Saeyoung.
- Rika sees V bleeding out and is horrified, screaming, thinking that the man she once loved died.
- However, this time the tactical crew also has trained medics.
- V survives.
- In the same hospital as Saeran, he can hear the deranged twins screams and the amount of suffering Saeyoung hid in order to just function. V’s guilt grew. Every day after a particularly difficult session or more medication had to be administered V could hear Saeyoung’s tears in the hallway, desperate to hide it from his recovering brother.
- This… this is what my help has brought upon the people I care most about. Saeran’s life was ruined. Saeyoung was lied to, used and abused, Yoosung in so much pain over his cousin’s death, Jumin lost without his friendship, Zen feeling responsible for Rika and himself and poor Jaehee left to pick up the pieces.
- And Rika…
- He wished he had died. He had done nothing right. Every choice he made- even if he knew they came from a place of good intent, turned evil. He helped bring about this evil and nothing he did saved his friends.
- One day after hearing a particularly heated argument between the brothers, he falls asleep and dreams of the events in Saeyoung’s secret ending. When he wakes a babbling mess- it is Jumin who is beside him, his daily vigil over his injured friend. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry-” “Hush, V… Jihyun.. It’s okay-” “IT’S NOT! IT’S NOT! I lied. Saeran suffered because of me. Saeyoung suffered because of me. MC was in mortal danger because of me. You don’t trust me anymore and all of this is my fault-” “V…” “I should disappear. Leave forever. Let all of you heal and move on without me, without the memory of all the wrong I’ve done-”
- Jumin screams at V, cursing his selfishness. “If you’re truly sorry for the things you had a hand in, use your hands now to fix them. Rebuild what you have destroyed.”
- Jumin takes V home, not trusting him to just up and leave if left to his own devices.
- Both MC and Jumin take care of V, work with him for months trying to make him realise that while he was flawed and did make mistakes, his heart was good and now that Rika was gone- he could heal, both physically and mentally.
- V felt even worse knowing that Rika had been sent to a psychiatric hospital and was to stay there until deemed mentally fit to stand trial. If she was ever declared mentally fit.
- He can’t sleep, he can’t eat, he needs to see Rika. To see that she’s okay. He still loves her, after all said and done, he still loves her.
- Jumin and MC talk it over and agree that it may make him better but it might make him worse… but at the moment he was stagnant. Something needed to happen for him to start moving again. Jumin cannot express how thankful he is to MC and how she cares for V almost as much as he does, the patience and the care she puts into his recovery- he knew he married an angel.
- They go to visit her and from afar in the yard, sitting away from the other patients, she seems fine. Her therapist explains to them that she’s been doing better since receiving treatment. He says that she sometimes hallucinates that she’s out in the world, taking photographs, photographs that V could no longer take now that he was dead.
- Rika sees V from across the yard and screams, hands in her hair, tears rushing to her eyes. She runs to the fence that separates them but doesn’t look at V, she’s only talking to Jumin. “Jumin… he’s gone. He’s gone. He’s not here, he’s not with me anymore and I’m sorry. He’s gone. I can’t do anything anymore. I couldn’t save him- why didn’t he let me save him?” she looks at V, hand over her heart as she wails. “I’m so sorry- why did you let me save you? We could have been happy- in paradise… and now you’re gone… leave me then! Stop haunting me! You chose to leave me!”
- Beyond hysterical, the staff take her back to her rooms leaving V, Jumin and MC terrible shaken.
- On the way home all V can see are the ghosts floating in Rika’s eyes. He was a ghost to her now. She was a ghost to him, both haunting each other and not for the better. He quickly came to the realisation that she was better without him… and he… he would be better without her.
- V, Jihyun Kim, is a heartbroken and damaged man.
- But… he can be fixed.
- At the same time the Choi brothers have finally taken the steps to healing themselves, it is not an easy road but with everything cleared in the air… they can finally move on and learn how to be themselves and brothers again. They have good days and bad days but at least, now they have them together.
- V decides to get the surgery.
“I… I have enough emotional wounds to last me a lifetime… I don’t need the physical ones too…”
- Slowly V starts to see a therapist to help him work through the pain he carries and the pain he inflicted. He apologises to Yoosung, the two truly talking about what happened and why V did what he did. He apologises to Zen for not being the guy Zen thought he was, for not being as brave as the actor. For not protecting them or Rika better. He apologises to Jumin for making bad choices and not trusting that Jumin would stand by him and help him make the right choices. He apologised to MC for almost disregarding her and not prioritising her life, her innocent life. He apologised to Saeyoung and Saeran. That he didn’t deliver the better life he had so wanted to give them, he thought he was helping but he only made things worse for them by unwittingly aiding in Rika’s plans. Funnily enough, it is Saeran that forgives V first- completely understanding the power and charisma that Rika held… the loyalty she inspired. It is Saeyoung that is the last to forgive V, unable to let go of the wasted time and the resentment he held for him.
“If Saeran is big enough to forgive you… then I guess I should too. But I don’t trust you anymore. You… You’ve messed up more than I ever could and I… time V. Give me time.”
- Through time and help from his friends and therapist, V slowly becomes the man everyone remembered. The head of the RFA, the friend, the confidante. Their brother. His confidence and independence gradually reappeared- as did his smile. - Jumin and MC are happily married and eager to get their family started. The Choi boys are still somewhat stilted and awkward but they’re well on the way to finding their balance. Zen was becoming more and more popular with his break being the role he emulated Jumin in (much to chagrin) and Yoosung was finally taking his studies seriously, even working under Jaehee during university holidays to explore all his career options... and to earn some money for the expansion pack for LOLOL and all the limited edition stuff... but mainly for the careers option thing.... >_ >
- Finally, the RFA was back to normal, whole and complete.
- Every week after his psychologist appointment he spends at a nearby café, a busy place that’s filled with people and noise and life and he’s addicted to it. Like a perfect reminder after he’s forced to confront his past demons that there is a future out there waiting for him.
- One time, over a year since the start of his recovery and his final therapy session, V sits at the café pouring over his photographs; for his upcoming return to photography exhibition. He’s choosing between three photos, lost in concentration.
- Suddenly a dainty hand pushes past his peripheral vision and points to the photo in the middle, “This one!”
- This photo- one of him- had his hand out in front of him as if he were welcoming someone to a party. Which in his head- was what he was doing when he took the self-portrait.
- V looks up, it’s the nice waitress with the brightly coloured hair that served him every week. He smiled remembering the first time she met him, she pointed at her hair and grinned,
“Ahhhh look, we’re twinsies!” she remarked obviously addressing the exact shade of turquoise they both shared. At least for that week. After that she had been red, then black, pink then green… she was never content to stay one colour, always chasing the colour she felt one particular week to the next. She liked change.
- “Oh… and why is that one, ‘the one’?” She shrugs and edges closer to V, her eyes transfixed on the image before her, her smile slowly growing the longer she looks at it. “Because… it looks like you’re reaching out for something and you’re… you’re so close to it. All you have to do is take it. You’re almost there.”
- She fills up his coffee and was headed towards the counter when V felt his heart skip a beat. Impulsively he jumps up and calls out to her, the waitress turns around with a surprised look on her face. “Hey… wait…. I… are… are you free next week?”
- She smiles. It’s beautiful.
- And for once, he feels no guilt.

Ramble and thoughts on V route
[A bit of (or maybe huge) spoiler alert for those who haven’t played/finished the route]
I just finished V’s route and got the Normal Ending. I have to say that I have so many thoughts and feelings that leave me like an empty shell.
Okay, I already knew from the start that Zen wasn’t gonna be involved too deep with the story besides sharing what he feels or thinks about the current situation in chat rooms (and babysitting Yoosung). But that doesn’t mean I wasn’t disappointed that he, Yoosung and Jaehee were practically thrown aside. Technically Jaehee was still kept close because of her position as Jumin’s assistant, but nevertheless I still feel that the Casual Story members were regarded very little in V’s route. But it can’t really be helped because I knew from the start that Zen’s involvement with RFA was a bit too “eeeh”. Sure, he’s indebted to V for saving his life during a motorcycle accident and that’s why he joined RFA, but I still felt like he was a bit off from the rest of the group. I mean, the next member I’d say is a bit of “eeeh” within the group is Yoosung. He might be in the group because he’s Rika’s cousin and that she feels comfortable for a family to be a part of what she loves to do. And perhaps they needed someone who’s familiar with a group of people of his age and class to know what they think about charity fundraising parties (I don’t know what I’m rambling about here). But what can Zen do to help RFA since he was just a mediocre musical actor? I guess like Yoosung, all he could do was just tell his (hopefully rich) co-workers about the parties. I’m guessing they were just satisfied to get as many hands to help as possible. And then I recalled in V’s route that Yoosung said that so far, they’ve conducted 2 parties, and the latest one would be the previous year. So I wondered how successful was RFA, really, if not including their small charity events?
Sorry, that was getting off the topic that I intended to talk about.
Back to V’s Normal Ending and some parts of the story, I’m just gonna say that although it’s generally a happy ending for MC since we’re shown that 2 years after the incident with Rika, her exploded apartment as well as Mint Eye’s fall, MC and V are living together, and as V said, they’re in love. It’s all happy for V and MC in the end, but I can’t say that I am happy. At least not wholly because, hey, the man deserved happiness after all the shit he went through.
First of all, I’ve got so many questions stuck in my head up until now. Like, if V’s route was set 1 year before the current story (I’m guessing the Deep Story since it’s been theorized as the True Story if you’re in Seven’s route), then, the events happened in Seven’s route where V was shot and died, did that happen in a parallel world or something? I think I’ve missed and skipped a lot of info that I needed to answer these questions (I avoided Tumblr and any place that could give me spoilers while I played the game). However! The disappearance of Ray and the appearance of Unknown (Saeran) implied that because MC decided to shag with V, Ray lost the person whom he claimed to really care, and apparently fell in love with. Because of this, as well as Rika’s changes of plans that involved the MC, pushed Ray so hard that his dangerous split persona resurfaced, and I believe this Unknown is the Unknown that we got introduced to in the Casual and Deep Story, which makes me believe that the Normal Ending is somewhat still connected to the world that we know. But, here’s the catch, if the Normal Ending leads to the current story, then what happened to V, who appeared to get his happy ending with MC and with perfectly good eyes? Then what happened to the MC in his route? Did she get kidnapped, or died in an accident that involved him which led to his eyesight getting messed up? Is that why he was so persistent to not get any treatment? Because he felt so guilt ridden by MC’s death? And where does that leave us? Are we playing two different MC’s, one from V’s route and another from Casual/Deep Story? Because of this I actually believe that there are 2 MC’s in Mystic Messenger universe.
From the beginning, I never really thought Rika as the antagonist, at least not on purpose. In Day 10′s chat room, Rika was pleading so hard towards V and MC to let her stay with them (I’m not sure if she meant stay, as in just in the chat room, or physically). She was literally begging like a child. She said she would be a good girl, sit quietly in her room, listen to what MC and V tell her, she won’t cry, never throw a fit, won’t express her feelings, she would eat little without complaint, and basically won’t talk to other people and stay locked in the house. She would live lifelessly like a paper doll. Hell, she would even allow MC to end up with V!
Sure, this might be one of her tricks and guilt cards to make MC and V fall into her trap, like her constant plea towards MC to stay with her (though the situation felt almost too intense to be platonic). But I can’t help but feel that her pleas and cry for help is real. Think about it; she started of groveling for help and pleas not to leave her, and then a switch went off and her raging side came out and started telling MC and V and to give her sun back (I’m guessing the sun would be V), and even threatened them that she would exact her revenge on MC who stole V from her. BUT instantly she went back to begging like the beginning of this chat. What’s more is that, this time she even apologized for everything she had done. The emotional transition between her anguish and angry sides was just a bit too real for someone to be faking around.
My theory: And speaking of her revenge on MC, I’m starting to think that the current MC (MC(A)) might be dead by Rika’s hands somewhere in the future (because we know Rika didn’t die in the explosion in order for her to still be alive in Deep Story) and that is also an act of revenge towards V who left her (hence explaining why she despised him in this story). This feels like too far-fetched but isn’t that what fan theories are all about? But if this theory is plausible, how would this explain the apartment that the MC from Casual/Deep Story (MC(B)) would be staying in, as well as no one’s memories of Rika being the antagonist or MC(A)’s existence? Also, the timeline wouldn’t make sense, because in Casual/Deep Story, Rika’s death was supposed to happen a year and a half before MC was introduced to RFA. And if at this point V was dating with MC(A) then why didn’t anyone mention this to MC(B)? So… theory debunked?

Now, I did say that I never see Rika as the bad guy, but I’m not saying that we can just forgive her and let bygones be bygone, but I’m not saying that she deserved all the stuff that happened to her either. Everyone in the game deserved to be happy.
I think she was just awfully lonely and needed love. We never know if she had genuine friends before meeting V. Then we learned that Rika had a good relationship with V for some time and she struck a friendship with Jumin along the way. We know that she is a fan of Zen (as she claimed) and it seems like she was a normal person. But turns out she had serious mental issues and this should remind us that some things that she did were things out of her control, especially when her mad and delusional side controlled her most of the time. What I see here is that she’s just a victim of mental issues and she needed help and shouldn’t be antagonized entirely. Her extreme acts should be blamed, but not her.
Playing this game while dealing with so many deadlines can be very emotionally draining and honestly sometimes I question my sanity like am I thinking about and caring for the characters in the game too much? What if the game is actually based on real people? What if we’re in the same situation like MC in V’s route, who was lured into this game by someone? These questions tend to keep me bedridden and feeling empty at times.
See what I mean? I was never considered having any mental problems or something like that, but here I am, questioning all these questions like a mad person. Maybe it’s because of the stress from my daily life? Who knows, but one thing for sure is that if I’m affected like this by just something so trivial like a game, imagine how Rika must have dealt with her legit health issues. And as for her withdrawing herself from V, I can only think that she was so used to having darkness (or to put simply, dark thoughts) within her and the belief that nobody wanted her must have been permanently scarred her mind and she believed that being unwanted makes up what she was. So, when V came in, she was really happy to be loved but later on the feeling was strange and unnatural for her, to the point that she thought the more she was loved, the more she was losing herself. Hence explaining why she chose to separate from V and embrace her ‘darkness’ which is basically herself. But at the same time, I think she was conflicted with her decision to either choose herself or being with V, because clearly she was also very in love with him. I think her fit of rage in Day 10 might be a possibility of her having Borderline Personality Disorder.
I’ll be honest that I wasn’t giving my 100% focus in the game and sometimes I’d just skim through at whatever popped in the chat rooms (the chats can be too long for my liking). That’s why I’m thinking to re-play the game and give it more focus and analyze V’s route with deeper thoughts so that I can actually accept the aftermath of his and Rika’s relationship. I’m also very curious to what the other endings would show us. Hell, if the Normal Ending is THIS happy and satisfying, I can just imagine what the actual Good Ending would offer (I’m still avoiding spoilers here).
Though to be honest I never wanted to play as an MC who would have a romantic relationship or story with V because I’ve come to believe that he was so blindly (pun intended) in love with Rika that it feels like it’s impossible for him to fall for a stranger within 11 days (but then again, this IS Mystic Messenger, where people get to fall in love quickly, even though you barely seeing each other). I’m not saying that he doesn’t have the right to love again, because he DOES. But personally, I just don’t think I have that capabilities to help him nor that I have so much maternal instincts to save him. That’s also why I never see or want Saeran in a romantic way. I just want to help them to be happy again as a platonic friend. Although V’s relationship with Rika was unhealthy, it can’t be denied that they WERE happy and shit just started and broke them apart. Being a helpless romantic, I always believed that there was still some hope for them to be happy together, and I actually hoped V’s route involved helping them to mend their relationship, if not just help to resolve their conflict.
And also, let’s not forget about Ray, Unknown’s gentler side personality. It can’t be helped that I also felt the need to save the sweet guy, and at the same time it was pretty worrying if I were to really fall for him I might actually have Stockholm Syndrome. Sure, MC wasn’t really kidnapped by force per say, but it can’t be denied that she was locked up in some unknown place that she was brought to with a blindfold. That alone was quite disturbing but then again, I DID play Shall We Date’s Blood in Roses and chose to shag with Rupert which eventually made me realize that maybe some MC’s in otome games need to have Stockholm Syndrome just to pull the player’s heartstring for the sake of what is called ‘romance’… Anyways, I wasn’t really sure what really happened to him in the end of Normal Ending. First, Rika apparently died in the explosion of her apartment, and so did Mint Eye’s building so where does that leave Ray (at this point Unknown)? Did he also supposedly get blown into bits? If so that is more depressing than what I actually expected because poor Seven would never know the truth about his brother.

EPISODE THREE: I’M A GENIUS AND A MORON - OLIVIA
I'm still feeling weird in regards to old saint Nicklas. The vote went from him suggesting Ricky to everybody just hopping aboard that train in minutes/an hour so I think I'll have to leep my eye on him for sure. I dont want to say much for now though but I may need to start some seed droppin’.
youtube
So I now have an alliance with Kurt, Sharifa, and Ned and tbh we stan. Kurt and Sharifa are messy bitches, and Ned is our straight ally. Olivia and Trent are shady and can go. This individual immunity twist is annoying, I'm fine with going to tribal I guess but the fact that up to 3 people on our tribe could win immunity... thank u next! Well, I guess I'll have to see how this challenge goes before I strategize further...
I know you might need immunity Birch (more like you do) but why are you snatching from your tribe members? I guess you really want that immunity huh 😂😂 maybe there’s something I don’t know about.. I need to see about finding that idol just incase..
Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt Olivia tries to snatch the Ancient Thera Ticket from Matt
With the twist of both tribes going to Tribal Council this round I’m feeling a little bit nervous. I can’t go for the immunity necklaces myself because of my work schedule. I’m not necessarily nervous for my own game though. The McBITCHES alliance and the TEA SLUTS alliance are both alive and well. OLIVIA and I are discussing possible boots as well and we’re leaning towards NED and JAKE since they’re both hardly around. Out of those two, I think I’d prefer JAKE to be the one voted out next. NED and I have a little bit of history from previous non-TS games and I genuinely think we could work well together. OLIVIA did pitch JAKE to me, so I think we could make that happen fairly easily. But it’s still very early and a whole lot of things could change between now and tribal.
I’m a genius and a moron
* a bit later*
Me in a pepper Potts voice: you can rest now, summers
Matt summers: finally closes his eyes knowing I can no longer spam him
Me: now onto this bitch Keegan who keeps trying to steal my goddamn ticket
* a while after that*
If Kurt takes one look at the atomic wiki my life is over
youtube
Really really really bonded with Kurt during this challenge and the last few days. We were already buddies and good with each other but I feel closer than ever and I really love that dude 🥰
Trent had to talk to me to get birch’s name out because we both wanted to say but I had him say it!! But I didn’t want to throw birch’s name out RIGHT in front of Keegan like that but he seemed to switch with us..idk if he’s for it or if it’s just for the group or if he’s just not for it but he probably doesn’t trust me for that LMAO yikes
I’ve forgiven birch for what happened in our last game but I’ll never be comfortable existing in a game simultaneously as them ever again. I’ve been uncomfortable since day 1 and I hope we finally vote them out so that experience can stop plaguing me with birch’s presence
Now that this challenge is 4.5 hours from finish, I suppose 9 would be a good time to get started or maybe sooner. A part of me felt it may be smarter to not post at all but I I don't want people getting too suspicious of me and feel I have an idol
Hmm so the goal today will be to get votes onto Emma and then proceed to get 2 votes on someone else in case of the idol...let's see if it goes anywhere!

Listen did I intentionally let slip that Kage most likely used that extra vote on Sarah later on so matt might change his vote and I would get the advantage IM NOT SAYING YES OR NO But also I’ve been so worried about summers but he said he wanted to work together and with smart people and the people on his tribe honestly seem frustrating and I was like babe sign me up. I hope he doesn’t strangle the life out of me again but I’d rather have a friend out of him than an enemy I chose the villainous route for the advantage 😬 if I told birch they were getting votes they would’ve flipped out and spiraled all day, I couldn’t do it. its only round three and it’s so messy oh my god. Please let me sleep and let this vote pass
Sooooo. Olivia told me that people have been talking about me and Lukas in Uluru, so that fun. I have a target on my back because of a game i played 8 months ago and a person who isn't even on my tribe. I also don't have immunity. I think we are going Ned, but I have Paranoia.
Tell me why Emma is saying there were nothing at Thera. That’s such a blatant lie. I don’t believe it. We just had our votes revealed AND an extra vote and she got nothing? Anyways. She’s already told Dennis where she looked for the idol. Tried talking to Sarah while she was at Thera. And then told me she had nothing there. So like clearly she don’t trust me like I thought she would when I first started playing Also just to be clear, it’s very likely Kage who voted Sarah this last round so we need to keep that in mind (and make her paranoid about it so she doesn’t stick with the 5).
So now the immunity's over and it seemed Emma was going, but now I know she is likely going to vote Kage out, which is good that it isn't me, but I hope no idol play kills Kage ahh.
My plan of wanting to vote our JAKE or NED didn’t exactly pan out the way I wanted to. The McBITCHES alliance decided that voting out BIRCH is our best option right now. They’re difficult to maintain conversation with and apparently they have a connection with Lucas on the other tribe. If there’s a swap that kind of connection could be bad. However everyone in this game has some kind of connection. It’s not necessarily a bad thing. NED and I have a bit of an alliance ongoing right now so keeping him around could definitely be beneficial.
Both tribes are going to tribal. All 3 Immunities are at the other tribe and that is exactly how I wanted things to go. I wanted to keep the options for our tribal as open as possible 1/8 chance to be voted out is way better than 1/5, not that I could've been there for 24hrs to do the challenge anyways, but yeah. Long story short Matt approaches me and asks me to work together to keep the Ancient Thera ticket between us, just to properly find out what is going on there. Because for some reason a lightround has been activated from ancient Thera and an extra vote was cast, that wasn't revealed and nobody wants to own up to it. None of the ancient Thera people seem to wanting to talk about it. Matt gets the ticket, goes there and tells me that he has to fullfil this 1 task otherwise he loses his vote. Besides that he tells me that Malik is on the outs of the other tribe and Birch's option apparently was either, no advantage for themselves but advantage for the tribe or the other way around with a disadvantage for the tribe. So Kage lied : ))) I know that, Matt knows that, Sarah knows that. Kage is definitely NOT trustworthy. But who do we vote now? The idol has been found (somewhat likely by Kage, seeing that he mentioned the door quite a few times), but it also could be in the posession of literally anyone else. So it has been my goal for the entire cycle to stay good with everyone and make sure that if there is an advantage being played, it isn't played against me. Kage has been going around all day making sure the vote is on Emma, what I am okay with, since Emma has been literally non-available since the game started. But yeah let's see. Last tribal prove 1 thing and that we can most likely count on many advantages to be showing up in a season like this, so in the end. Anyone can go home...
Right now, Emma's on and has been informed she is getting votes. Dennis claimed she wants to go on Kage, which confused me only because I thought he already told me but I guess that was just Nicklas and/or Matt...Matt at least told me haha so I hope this won't be flipping over on Kage but yeah the next few hours should be interesting
So my alliance with Ned, Kurt, and Sharifa is confirmed with Malik on the side. The vote seems to be geared towards Birch since they’re not in our alliance or Sharifa’s alliance with Trent and Olivia. Apparently Birch is voting Ned and Trent or Olivia is throwing a vote on Ned, so it looks like Ned and I are throwing a vote on Keegan in case an idol is somehow played. Doesn’t matter to me as long as I’m not voted out. But after that I want my allies safe hehe. I think there will be a tribe swap next. I don’t really want to throw a vote because if i’m on a tribe with trent and olivia or keegan i’d have to own it or lie, either way there could be a good amount of tension. SOS!
The closer it gets to tribal the worse I feel about the vote possibly being BIRCH. They’re just so lovely and fun to have around. NED is an alright dude but he’s so inactive compared to BIRCH or literally anyone on the tribe. It’s sort of painful to be voting out someone I genuinely like in the off chance that they align with someone they previously played with it a swap happens. But such is the game. In the long run keeping NED is actually going to be better for my game. Right now he’s currently just an extra vote to be used by whoever he sticks by. So I’m going to do my best to make sure that it is me he’s sticking by.
I’m really really scared they’re all lying to me and it’s gonna be me tonight but I’ve just gotta go with the flow I guess. I don’t wanna look like a fool
have been mega busy but here's the lowdown Oliva and Trent are frickin chaches who think they're running the show but they're dumb Sharifa is my #1 now Sharifa Kurt Jake and I are in an alliance and Malik is our 5th number and we've formed to put a stop to Olivia and Trent But this vote we are voting out Birch because we don't want to cause a ton of chaos before the swap. And I am getting votes from Keegan and Birch so Jake and I are voting Keegan in case Birch plays an idol. I'm concerned about Oliva and Trent voting me as well, causing a 4-3-2 vote. I tried to convince everyone to vote Keegan/Olivia/Trent but no one wants to make any ripples. If I go home because of this I'll be big mad. Keegan sucks at this game and life Olivia and Trent also suck at this game and should leave the internet forever.

Okay so it should be Emma going tonight. I don’t like that bc I like Emma a lot but I guess people want whatever is easiest. TBH I don’t like Kage that much so I am just itching to flip but I know it’s too early to be a crackhead like that. So RIP Emma. Here are my thots on everyone Kage - a little brash and not fun to talk to, I want him gone like now. Matt - very nice and smart and needs to go before it’s too late. Sarah - I am coming to love her. Dennis - I <3 him. Nicklas - Cool but a lil much sometimes. I really try to vibe w him because I wanted him as my #1 but he’s hard to read. Andreas - Same as Matt. I think he’s easier to read but I think he’s also better socially than Matt. Anyone else - idek. I want a swap or sumn. I’m getting a little bored of these ppl. Also fuck whatever person got me eliminated from the last challenge. I was just trying to have funnnnnnnnnnnn! But everyone who got a necklace deserved it bc they worked so hard.

Emma is fighting to get Kage out. And this is exactly why we’re friends. We literally just chose the same person because we don’t like him lol. I wonder if it helped that I tried convincing Sarah that Kage voted her the other day. Dennis is low key against it because he doesn’t want anyone to get mad. But I think imma try seeing if people would be willing to do it
***20 mins later***
Okay welp. I tried. Emma’s been too inac tho and most people don’t think they should save her Whatever ig. I’m okay with it. Hopefully it doesn’t get back to Kage I tried to get people to flip I only really dislike Kage on my tribe. And have been less connected with Chris. But I’ve talked a lot with Dennis, Lukas, Matt, Sarah, and Andreas so as long as no one gets paranoid, the swap we’re all expecting shouldn’t be bad.
