#and look. both of them have agreed they'll be civil about this kind of thing. so steve definitely doesnt have a problem with it.

Do you have any plans for fics after Heavy Pleasures?
Nothing solid, but there are always tons of ideas floating around in my mind at any given point that could suddenly spark into a hyperfixation. Recently my maladaptive Stevetony daydreams have consisted mostly of one of them going into the other's timeline for Whatever Reason, and then like having them falling in love all in the wrong order. I have two completely different fics with this trope in mind: one where Tony goes into Steve's, and another where Steve goes into Tony's. I think both of those have the potential to be both incredibly fun to write and incredibly rewarding bc like. The protectiveness at the sight of this younger, less jaded version of the man theyโ€™re in love with? The longing? The falling in love in a million different ways with a million different versions of the same guy? Oof.
but also they would be Capital P Projects sooooo as to whether I would see them both through? idk.
I also have a massive project that I started working on three years ago n have since abandoned, but I did so much of it already that I'm wondering whether to just post it all anyway even though it won't be finished. I mean, better out there for a few people to read than just gathering dust in my gdocs

art x reader x patrick. introducing each other to the family as a throuple????! how do u think itโ€™s going down. how are each parent reacting?
- ๐Ÿ“
okay okay okay
i think as far as patrick's parents go, in the end, if it's f!reader, they'll just have to be like "yeah i guess"
at first if he brought reader and art home they'd both be fairly smug/satisfied that he's finally brought someone home that he could actually marry/have kids with (regardless of what the three of you actually want) but i think it would also be "okay but why is art here" at first
after that his dad would absolutely not hear of it, saying over and over how disappointing it is, how it's going to destroy whatever image their family has left, blah blah blah. demanding you two break it off with art to preserve the look. but i do think he'd just have to get over it, again, with the thought (no matter if it's misguided or not) that the family name can be carried on
i'd guess his mom would be a bit more accepting, but still agree with his dad at first. though i think she'd probably be the one to try and rationalize it, and eventually get them to the place of reluctant acceptance they'd eventually end up in. i doubt they'd ever be as kind to you as they were in the few minutes they assumed it was just you and patrick, but as far as you go i think they'd try their hardest to remain civil
as for art's grandma, i don't think she'd be unreceptive, but it would most likely take a while for her to get it get it. similarly to patrick's parents, very much "okay but why is patrick here". like just given the whole nursing home and then eventually passing from a stroke thing i'd guess that her faculties aren't entirely there? so it'd be a lot of "no, he's my boyfriend, too" and "we're all together"s until it eventually stuck or. well.
because honestly i think the leading reaction when something like this happens is just surprise. people are often so much more accepting of "weird" shit as long as they don't think it affects them. especially in liberal areas. (i know the tennis academy is allegedly supposed to be in florida (??) but i always assumed the boys are from california or ny (or both) and throuples are usually so low on other people's radars that it's very much whatever)
but in the end i think patrick's parents were always destined to be at least sort of upset with whoever he ended up with if they were outside of their social circle, so i don't think two someones from the outside makes a huge difference in their opinion outside of fear of other people finding out. and i think art's grandma is very much set up as the kind of character to be happy as long as that boy is happy. (thinking about her reaction when he must've come to her all smiley asking for her ring so that he could propose to tashi. ugh.) but yeah!

Imagine Yaoshi x Reader x Nanook. With how they act in lores and how there is not much canon information about the personalities + encounters or interactions yet. My brain already has so much ideas about what's gonna happen if we put them both together :)
pairing: nanook x gn!reader x yaoshi (general relationship hcs)
word count: 785
warnings: possible spoilers for hsr !! involves xianzhou stuff iykyk
a/n: it's the way that i knew this would be a request- also this got long i apologize HAHSHSHH
Tumblr media
First off, congrats. I have no idea how you managed to coerce these two into sharing because the last thing either wanted was to share something with the other.
Compromise is absolutely fundamental in this relationship. Yaoshi and Nanook are Aeons whose ideologies are in direct conflict, and you'll have to act as their middle ground. Arguments aren't common (they both believe that they're above such petty disputes), but in the beginning of the relationship, the tension was undeniable.
Nanook firmly believes that civilization was a mistake, and neither Yaoshi nor you can change that. Yaoshi can pout and give Nanook the look all they want, but nothing is stopping Nanook from bringing planet after planet down.
Likewise, Yaoshi's gifts of immortality, along with their side effects of mara, tend to irk Nanook, only furthering their belief that destruction was the only salvation left for the universe (Yaoshi would continue to assert that the mara wasn't their fault).
But when you come into the picture, you force them to put their differences aside - because if there's one thing that the two of them can agree on, it's you. If it's for you, they're willing to push aside their ongoing war with one another. If it's you, they'll ignore the fact that they openly hated the other.
Yaoshi thought that such a cold being as Nanook wasn't deserving of a partner such as you. Nanook didn't love or embrace you like Yaoshi did, didn't cradle and pamper you like the Abundance.
As a result, Yaoshi loved to remind them of their negligence, although now, it's more of a playful jest if anything. They'd whine about how Nanook was barely home, despite Yaoshi constantly being on the run themselves, and the fact that as Aeons, they don't have a set "home".
For the most part, Nanook was unbothered by Yaoshi's remarks, with the most coming out of them being a roll of the eyes. They didn't care how their affection may have come across, the only thing mattering to them was that you were safe and happy.
The two of them used to fight over you all the time - Nanook would often snatch you right off of Yaoshi's lap, and Yaoshi would refuse to hand you over. But soon, they learned to tolerate the other's existence, and eventually that tolerance would turn into a begrudging adoration.
In this relationship, Yaoshi is inertly more affectionate (and possessive) than Nanook is. Nanook isn't... They're not exactly in tune with desires of any kind, much less the kind that comes with a romantic relationship. Yaoshi, on the other hand, is an empathetic soul who loves and sympathizes with creatures from all walks of life.
Yaoshi coddles you, and makes sure that not only are you loved, but that you feel loved. They are gentle and tender with you, often playing with your hands or hair, and pressing kisses wherever they can. They sing you praises to their Disciples and the Denizens, who adore you just as much as their Aeon.
On the other hand, Nanook's "love", if you could even call it that, comes in the form of protection. The Antimatter Legion, when they're not wreaking havoc upon other planets, become your personal bodyguards. Yaoshi in particular takes advantage of this, often using the Legion to fend off any Xianzhou ships looking to hunt them down.
But this isn't to say that Nanook doesn't have their moments. When they manage to pry you away from Yaoshi's arms, Nanook likes to hold you as they go about their business. You'd be laying in their arms, pressed against their chest as you watch the destruction of a planet as you would a movie. Rarely are any words said in these moments, but they are just as intimate as Yaoshi's affections.
The universe knows you as the Mediator, the tamer of the two most hated Aeons in the universe. Being the significant other of not one, but two Aeons certainly comes with its benefits - and that being that practically nothing can touch you. There are some who feel pity for you, others who envy you.
But there are also those such as the Aeon Xipe who are grateful for your existence, for you are responsible for keeping Yaoshi and Nanook in check. In Xipe's eyes, if such opposing Aeons as Yaoshi and Nanook can work in tandem, then there is hope for a unified universe.
All in all, this relationship can only work if each member puts forth the effort to make it work. It's rocky in the beginning, even more so than others, and requires so much more patience. But if you can manage to pull through, the rewards are sweeter than any fruit.

hello! may i request the tmnt boys (either separate or all together) crushing hard on a reader that SOMEHOW has the villains of the show as their parental figures. And I'm talking about ALL the villains; they watch Hypno's magic shows as a kid, they somehow know who warren is, they have tea parties with the foot clan. I just thought it'd be funny to have the guys crush on someone only to find out that their enemies are their crushes parental figures- ty!!
hi duck !! i ADORE this amusing idea of yours. i was going to do them separately, but i couldn't decide on some things so i just clumped together some general headcanons for all of them together. i didn't list a particular villain just so you could kind of imagine one or all of them in these hc's.
hope you enjoy!

rise!turtles find out that your parental figures are their GREATEST ENEMIES?!?!
Tumblr media
okay, so this turtle is crushin' HARD on you
and their brothers give them a hard time about it
siblings, am i right?
but, whether you're oblivious to their feelings or you reciprocate them (or not), you care a lot about them
so you tell them about all of these parental figures in your life that have taught you a lot of things
a few examples: journalism, magic, gourmet cooking, and ... repoing things ??
they're definitely curious about that last one, but they adore just how much these people mean to you
so when you ask them if they'd like to meet your parental figures?
they'll agree, but they're beyond nervous
before we get to the reveal, let's talk about the bad guys
the villains are ... well, villains, but it's not that you really knew that ... because for some reason, they shared a soft spot for you.
you were kind to them, and showed interest in them despite their appearance; treated them like the humans they once were
and they slowly had this parental instinct form in them; like you were their kid. they want to teach you things, give you advice, and look out for you
they're also ready to beat up this "guy friend" of yours if they think he's not worthy of your time
so somehow, you make a plan to meet and bring the turtle with you
"don't worry, they'll like you once they see what i see in you."
the poor turtle's heart might just explode
but when the door opens and reveals their greatest enemy, the tension grows thick as they immediately prepare for battle
the turtle stands in front of you, their weapon in hand and in fighting stance
"(name), stay behind me; these guys are dangerous."
"get away from that turtle, (name)!"
. . .
what? they were in a stunned silence when they realized they both knew you, which gave you time to jump between them to prevent the fight
"guys, stop! you said you'd be cool!"
"but (name), you don't understand-"
"NO BUTS! YOU'RE GONNA SIT AND GET ALONG, UNDERSTAND?!"
the villain mumbles and sits down reluctantly because you're scary when you're angry
you turn to face the turtle, who's staring at you wide-eyed and clearly confused
you ask him how he knows them, and he can't lie; he tells you they're the villains he faces on the regular
you're not sure what to say, and you look back at them hesitantly before back to him
"you've told me about your battles before, but i didn't realize ... because the people i know are different."
you look up at him with a soft look in your eyes, silently asking him to put his trust in you and your words
"i can make them behave ... please, talk to them? they might be villains, but they feel the same as you and i do ... give them a chance, please."
he can hear it in the way your voice wavers and your eyes fall to the ground at the end of your words; you care and look up to them
so he can only nod slowly, smiling slightly (more like a grimace) and taking your hand in his to reassure you.
"i'll do my best for you, (name)."
it was an awkward and interesting encounter, to say the least.
but, despite the glares sent around the room, they remained civil
because to see you happy with your favorite people in a room meant a lot to them
they both just want you to be happy

Hey! I hope you accept such requests! Your favorite MC yandere characters (except Sheriff) โˆš Sheriff's older guardian sister who works as his bodyguard. I hope you enjoy this idea, and I apologize in advance for any mistakes. English is not my native language and it was all written with the help of a translator
I like everyone so I picked Sanford and Deimos as I love them and they interact with Sheriff in Nexus. This talks about various things just to experiment! Wasn't sure what direction to take this so I did what came to mind.
Yandere! Sanford + Deimos with Sheriff's Sister/Bodyguard! Darling
Pairing: Romantic - Poly/Rivalry
Possible Trigger Warnings: Female Darling, Manipulation, Violence, Kidnapping, Stalking, Obsession, Darling's pretty oblivious ngl, Can be seen as Rivalry or Sharing, Implied they share though.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
- These two come in contact with Sheriff at some point.
- They weren't expecting him to have a new bodyguard.
- They also weren't expecting you two to be brother and sister.
- Sanford and Deimos are not really hunting to kill Sheriff, they just wanted information about the Science Tower in Nexus City.
- Which means, compared to how you would've acted with Hank, you get along better with them.
- You'd probably even try to communicate with them on what they're planning before they go anywhere near your brother.
- You know your brother is a coward so the entire time they're trying to talk to him Sheriff is trying to hide behind you.
- You're kind to them as long as they don't try to attack Sheriff.
- Sheriff hates the fact you're going easy on them but you ignore his complaints.
- Deimos would definitely try to flirt with you once he deems you not hostile.
- Sanford would then try to keep his buddy civil when talking to you.
- Deimos is definitely the one who gets attached first going on and on to Sanford about how attractive you looked and how easy you were to talk to.
- Sanford may at first find it annoying but then go along with it, agreeing with what Deimos says.
- Safe to say they both begin to like you.
- Sheriff would hate it if one of them or both of them fell for you.
- They work with Hank!
- The one who likes to kill him!?
- You're being way too nice to them!
- You start finding it odd when they frequent the base you and Sheriff are at.
- Sanford tries to keep things civil and claims he just wants to talk with you, not even with Sheriff.
- Deimos doesn't care if he has to go in guns blazing, though, he just wants to see you.
- Sheriff tries his best to convince you it's bad to talk with them!
- You ignore his wishes, however, maybe you should've listened.
- Deimos would be the most clingy of the two.
- He's trying to slide his hand to yours in conversation.
- Maybe even leaning on you if you converse side by side.
- Sanford's more respectful but he does have his moments of wanting to be closer to you.
- Both are stalkers.
- Sheriff claims he's feeling eyes on the both of you but you say it's just paranoia.
- They're scary separate, rivalry, and sharing.
- At some point they'd probably want to separate you from Sheriff.
- Your younger brother complains too much and spreads lies to you to keep them away.
- He has no need to be in the picture.
- They may scare Sheriff but they know better than to kill him again.
- You'd immediately become hostile if they harmed him physically.
- They'd most likely try driving you away from him.
- If not outright kidnapping you.
- Deimos would rub it in Sheriff's face that he has a thing for you due to him being quite the cocky Yandere.
- Sanford would also do the same.
- They love annoying the guy.
- If their obsession was really far they may just kidnap you and get rid of Sheriff.
- Both don't mind doing this.
- They'll take good care of you...
- You shouldn't need to take care of a coward like Sheriff.

Kindly folks. A little flash of disgust on Janey's face, because she had been accused of that before, and sure, in this case it was somewhat sarcastic, he didn't believe they'd do it out of kindness, but enough people had eventually come to think that she had such inclination and it was distressing. The last thing she needed was people expecting her to be a decent person instead of just having little human lapses.
"I'm sure it had nothin' to do with y'all having a sudden pressin' need for a newtracker. I'll give you this much though, sweetheart, you at least know how to pretend to ask nicely."
"Please. Look at me, cowboy," she opened her arms then dropped, with just about the same enthusiasm she put into her words, "I'm an old raider." Well, old was a big word for someone who hadn't touched 35 yet. But in raider's years? "I'm still here because I plan and I prepare. Then I overprepare. You'd be when the 'over' bit starts. Which is what lets me be so 'nice' about it." No need for begging or threatening, just two grown folks discussing business. In the years she had found some got disoriented by that, but others jumped in. Especially other raiders who had never stopped for a second to attempt thinking. Right, the job. "Here's the deal. Apparently a scientist stole from the Enclave and ran with his dog." Just this time, just for a moment, there was a twitch on her lips that resembled a smile instead of her permanent deadpan expression, at the thought of someone actually fucking with the Enclave from inside. And leaving with a dog, at that. "The Enclave got its panties in a twist, and offered a thousand caps to bring him back. But we both know they ain't gonna give that to ya. 'Cause you are a ghoul, and people are stupid about that. They'll want someone in a shiny armor to do it. Who'll really pay a lot is a friend of mine, if I bring the scientist to them. If you are with me, it's a job worth 500 caps for you alone. You are free to go and check if anyone is offering more. But..." She took a few steps to the side to look at him better, or more specifically which sort of weapon he had. "If it's true that you are as good as they say, I'll throw in an extra 200. Not because I'm kind-hearted," she hadn't let go of that one yet, "But because that's what I call an investment. Paying skilled people the right amount instead of fucking them up... usually means they'll come back to work with me later. So take this as an incentive not to shoot me in the back whether you wanna do it or not, I'm worth more caps alive, 'cause they can keep coming and you never know when you may need a job." She had to offer beforehand that sort of incentive, because that was what had kickstarted several, surprisingly civilized, joined efforts with people who normally would have literally tried to eat her after the job. Even raiders could cooperate sometimes, with the idea that they'd get their pockets full again in the future. Some got stupid later anyway, and got disposed of. She agreed with that logic: she wouldn't make deals with Dom Pedro, for one, but she wouldn't rush to kill a stranger who may keep their word on it, there was always time for that later, if they were lying. Then, of course, there were those trying to make her deal in slavery, and whether they acted civilized or not they got shot in the face. She did have standards. "Pitch over. I won't lie, the fact that Dom Pedro will shit his pants knowing you're out and about? Makes me feel aaaall warm and fuzzy. It's good reason to try you first." She wished she could see his dickface when he found out, but she'd have to just imagine it.
Cooper's eyes snapped open; in the suffocating darkness of the coffin, of course, there was nothing to see, but he stared hard up at the source of the sound nonetheless. It was quiet, muffled, but unmistakable.
Someone was digging.
How long had it been? It felt like he'd been down here in this cramped iron prison for a fucking eternity, like a broken doll stuffed back into its box and forgotten about. Was Dom Pedro back for another round?
This was his chance. All he needed was a few seconds, a clean shot for his rope. He didn't know what was waiting for him aboveground, but it was a safe bet that he'd be fighting for his life once that coffin door opened, and the rush of anger-infused adrenaline almost drowned out the pain from his twisted limbs, the horrible burn in his chest from each rattling wheeze for air that just never quite seemed to fill his lungs.
Come on, come on, oh god please hurry up and get me the fuck out of here -
THUNK.
They'd hit the coffin. Shit, this was really happening. This was it. Freedom.
Fresh fucking air.
Cooper felt his face twist into a desperate snarl as he tried to weakly wriggle his busted arm below his head towards his rope. It was no good, of course. Fuck it. He'd just have to come out as he was, and hope his regenerative abilities kicked in once he was less of a pretzel. Hope that Dom Pedro was in a chatty mood and not a prisoner-maiming one.
After what felt like a frustratingly long time, the scraping and dull thunking sounds finally stopped. He felt the coffin get hoisted up, up, up into the air, and then it was being slowly rotated to stand him upright.
Cooper closed his eyes, shoved the fear down, and smiled.
One way or another, he was gonna walk free today, and whoever just dug him up was going to regret it.
There was a heavy rattling of chains; at last, the coffin door swung open, leaving him coughing and gasping for breath like a swimmer who'd just spent too long underwater. It took some effort to pull himself free from the cold dark prison where his mangled body had been so ungraciously stuffed, but he managed to lurch his way out and double over, groaning as his body rearranged itself with a series of sickening cracks. Shit, that always hurt like a son of a bitch.
And of course, there was an audience pointing guns at him while he caught his breath and got reacquainted with existence outside of his coffin. Wonderful.
"Guns down, he's fine."
...By fine, he supposed the woman meant not a slavering feral.
Well, at least he now knew which of these strangers was the one giving orders.
Like a group of mongooses flinching back from a snake in a hole, the men who'd just opened his coffin hastily lowered their weapons and retreated, never once taking their eyes off him.
Guess it was showtime, then.
Slowly, with the unhurried self-assurance of a yao guai finally choosing to emerge from hibernation, The Ghoul straightened up to his full height. One boot stepped away from the open grave and onto the grass, followed by the other. A gnarled hand flexed, as narrowed sunken blue eyes swept the graveyard. Counting the heads, calculating the trajectories, appraising the threats.
...Just three, huh?
He could take three. No problem.
"Hey. I'm not with Dom Pedro."
At the woman's words, The Ghoul slowly tilted his head to one side, silent and evaluating.
Oh, you talkin' to little old me now?
Yeah, no shit she wasn't one of Dom Pedro's.
Pedro would've known better than to dig him up without at least triple the men to point guns at him.
"I'm gonna get straight to the point. I'm getting you out of there for two reasons: one, I hate that fucker and I want him to suffer. Two, coffins are for the dead."
Taking the good-cop approach right out of the gate, huh? Well, that sure was a choice. Not the default one, though, going by the minigun over her shoulder and the big pistol holstered on her hip.
...Was she trying to imply she could put him back to rest in that coffin in the proper way, if he wasn't feeling grateful enough for the unsolicited rescue?
The Ghoul's head took a tilt to the other side; a swaying cobra, sizing up his target, contemplating whether or not to strike.
His realigned joints ached something fucking fierce. The throbbing in his temples, the gnawing emptiness in his stomach and the dry burn in his throat was almost maddening. All he wanted was a long drink, a massive Brahmin steak and a comfy surface to pass out on after he took a shitload of chems.
He'd settle for just shooting some heads open and taking whatever shit these idiots had in their pockets, though. Whatever they'd come here looking for, they weren't gonna be getting it from him. He was in no mood to go from one man's kennel to this woman's leash.
"That said, I've been told you are the best tracker we can find on this side of the Wasteland, so if you are interested I've got a job worth a lot of caps."
The Ghoul's lips started to curl into a knowing little scoff. Yep, there it was. The only surprise was that she was bothering to frame it like an offer and not an order.
Maybe she just knew she didn't have the firepower right now to play the bad-cop angle. That minigun would take a good few seconds to spin up, after all, and he was pretty confident he was a faster draw than her.
"If you are not interested, good-fucking-bye, good luck and I hope you kill that son of a bitch."
There was a flicker of something across The Ghoul's marred face; a blend of faintly perplexed surprise, amusement, and appraisal. The expression disappeared almost as swiftly as it appeared, like a stone sinking into the deep.
"...Well, now, ain't that a pretty little pitch."
The Ghoul's voice was a low rasping drawl edged with a lightly sardonic nonchalance, that belied the flatly evaluating way he was looking at the head honcho stranger now. Not a fan of Dom Pedro's, huh? Was she hoping he'd go kill the bastard for her? Well, he was admittedly feeling pretty murderously inclined towards the man right now.
But it sounded like there was more to it than that.
"Y'all must be some real kindly folks, diggin' up an old wrinkly like me just to right another man's wrong."
Slow, prowling steps forwards and angling to the side. If things went south, he sure as fuck wouldn't be the one ending up in that coffin.
" I'm sure it had nothin' to do with y'all having a sudden pressin' need for a new tracker. I'll give you this much though, sweetheart," he tacked on casually, as he shifted step by innocuous step into a more tactical position, "You at least know how to pretend to ask nicely."
He didn't know these people, they sure seemed to know about him. No one went to all the effort of traipsing onto Dom Pedro's turf and digging up the biggest baddest motherfucker they could think of unless they were desperate for a win. By the men's caginess and their minigun-toting leader's calm reasonable act, they weren't exactly used to pitching job offers to someone like him either.
"Can't exactly say if I'm interested in this lucrative job o' yours or not if I ain't got a clue what the job is, though, can I?"
If it sounded solid, there was no reason he couldn't just kill them and go after the bounty himself. Easier than dealing with having to travel with other people, and he wouldn't have to split the payload - or go through the whole inconvenience of them trying to double-cross him and make off with all the caps.
If it sounded like a bust or just plain not worth his time, well, he'd get to test out how serious she was about letting him exercise his right to say no.

OBEY ME MC X TWST AU
The relationship between Pomefiore and MC
Vil Schoenheit
Hahahah- honey you've got a big storm coming.
Ciel despises his guts the same way Belphegor and Satan hate Lucifer. Vil knows they have a HUGE potential to be a "poison apple" or whatever, but the fact that they don't collaborate with him AT ALL bothers him to no end.
He tries to give them beauty products? Ciel takes them and dumps them in the nearest trash can (Asmo is crying the the Devildom as we speak), he tries to fix their hair and Rook and/or Yuuken is not around? Sucker punched in the face, oh? Epel needs to attend his etiquette lessons? TOO BAD THEY ALREADY SNATCHED HIM AND THEY AIN'T LETTING GO OF HIM ANYTIME SOON.
Overall it's just him trying to turn them into a second Epel and them actually fighting back most of the time. He admires their effort in their studies tho, he thinks it's impressive for a rowdy potato. Please someone save him if Ciel ever finds out he hits Epel- they're literally gonna pull up with the "whip of love"โ„ข that you use in the surprise guest events.
They also used it on him the first time they've met because you ain't harrassing their homie Epel, you bitch.
Although he hates to admit it those few times where he gets to keep them at bay and actually have a civil conversation with them, he DOES have a good time. It's rare tho.
Rook Hunt
Afraid of him for some reason.
Not like, to death, but he does give the creeps. They respect him as a vice dorm leader because he's nice to them.
They have this silent mutual agreement of "i don't fuck with you and you don't fuck with me" and respect that.
They're both in the Neige simp club ๐Ÿ’€
Epel Felmier
Chaos.
These mfs met before the vdc cause some asshole's thought it would be funny to play fetch with his bag while he was leaving for recess in front of their classroom, THINK AGAIN.
He thought that they were awesome, even tho he was highkey scared of them now.
After giving them the "whip of love"โ„ข Ciel turned around to look at him and he was almost pissing himself from the fear, cue to him being in utter shock when Ciel started speaking to him in a much softer tone asking him if he was allright while picking up his stuff.
They ended up hanging out togheter for all recess and getting lunch togheter cause why not, and by the end of it he got a protective charm from them.
Now he goes starry eyed whenever he sees them beat up someone.
After the VDC those two became closer and often hang out with eachother.
He even asked them to help him become stronger! Seeing his determined face Ciel agreed immediately and now they also teach him new shit.
He would always rant to them about how Pomefiore sucks and he wanted to be in Savanaclaw and they would provide support, he's always trying to impress them (and they think it's the cutest thing ever but will never tell him), they would prepare him homemade meals in large quantities to help him grow and all that kind of stuff.
Their absolute favourite thing to do is pulling pranks on Vil togheter and watching his reaction.
It's a miracle they're not banned from Pomefiore with their shenanigans.
Once they bursted the door open yelling "I CAME TO FREE THE HOMIE" while he was having an etiquette lesson, snatched him, and left. Funniest shit he's ever seen.
They LOVE the real him with absolutely gives him a confidence boost.
They overall have a very chaotic friendship that evolved into a crush on both sides bit they're both emotionally stupid so they don't realize LMAO-
They'll manage.

Okay let's just get this out of the way and agree one thing
The only time these two ever going to be civil
Is when you're around
They love you to bits
When you came to the world, they both were looking at you like you were the most precious thing they ever seen
Tears may have been shed
Growing up there's never a full moment with them
Kaeya will try to rope you in all kinds of mischief
Climbing trees, pranks, stealing grapes of the vineyard
And Diluc would be the one who tend to your scraped knee and gave you a soft scolding
And give Kaeya an earful later
Whenever you have a nightmare, their bed is welcome for you to sleep on while they keep watch for the 'monster'
TEA PARTIES WITH THEM!!!
They'll let you style their hair if you want to
(Adelinde may or may not took a picture of the 'masterpiece' you made)
When Diluc got promoted to Captain, you were the first one he told
If you asked them to teach you how to fight, Kaeya will agree immediately since he wanted you to be able to defend yourself while Diluc will probably need a little more convincing
And if there someone wanted to date you
Oh boy
They'll have to go through two very overprotective brothers
Diluc will openly shows his disdain if he didn't think they're not worthy
Kaeya will dig up everything about them as ammo
Though if you wanted them to back off, they will reluctantly

Since I like to think I'm pretty good at debating/arguing with people on the internet, I've decided to post tips. These are just things I've found that help keep internet arguments civil and constructive.
1. Actively acknowledge the other persons' arguments.
I find that a lot of internet discourse, and even in real life, comes because people don't think their points are being heard. I don't mean you have to agree with them, but actively restating their points before/while you make your own means they'll feel heard, despite the difference in view.
2. Try to avoid making the point of the argument about changing the other's mind as much as possible.
The sad reality is that you likely aren't going to change their mind, no matter how right you feel you are. And that's okay. You have your opinion and they have theirs. And the chances are, the more you try to change their mind, the more likely they are to dig their heels into their opinion.
3. Be willing to concede on certain points.
By this, I don't mean giving into the other person. What I mean is acknowledging when the other party actually has a good point. It's okay to admit you were wrong about a specific point. No one party is going to be right about everything.
4. Refrain from all caps and swearing.
I'm mostly talking about all caps here, because that comes off as extremely aggressive, which only aggravates the situation. It's akin to screaming. I'd avoid swearing too, since it can seem kind of unprofessional, and can make people a little less inclined to take you seriously.
5. Remain calm
Remember that this is the internet. You can step away for an hour or two and no one will think anything of it. This allows you to form more coherent and less emotionally charged responses. Take a breather, get something to eat/drink, and come back when you aren't as likely to say something you'll regret.
6. Take the time to carefully structure your response
Like in tip six, remember that this is the internet. You don't need to respond immediately. You have the ability to reread both your own response and review the points the other party has made. This means you can make sure your ideas and points get across as clearly as possible,
7. Be willing to elaborate or explain
The thing with internet, unfortunately, is that a lot of tone and meaning can get lost. If asked, or you think it didn't come across clearly enough, be prepared to further explain your viewpoint. And sometimes, no matter how hard you try, it can still be difficult sometimes to get a point across. That's okay.
8. Remember that the other party probably thinks they're just as right as you think you're right
We're the heroes/protagonists of our own stories. The other party has the same perspective as you, that being "I'm right and they're wrong." This is the mindset that causes most arguments, I think, whether it's philosophical, political, or something else.
9. Sources/Research
I say this mostly because it makes you more look more credible. It's always a good thing when you have other sources backing you up. Of course, this also means doing research on the topic you're debating on. You want to be well informed, and not just rehashing things you read somewhere, from a source that might not even be credible.
10. Know when to walk away
I'd almost say this is the most important tip I can give you. Knowing when to cut off a debate is key. If it feels like you're getting nowhere, making the same points over and over, or you feel the other person simply isn't listening, cut it off. You can either just stop engaging, or make one final comment/post/whatever making your final statements before ending with the fact that you will no longer be engaging in debate with the other party.
And that's that. At the end of the day, we're all human, with unique experiences that shape our opinions and thought processes, and we need to remember that. Respect is something that needs to be present in all online activities. That being said, I hope these tips can help you engage in constructive debates both online and in the real world

Jac & Savannah
Jac: Feel totally free to ignore this, and this isn't an attempt to further any more conversation between us again if you don't want it, but it would feel bizarre to pretend...well, that we hadn't known each other before, or that I'd forgotten you entirely, so Jac: Obviously things weren't great when you left but I'm fully over that as no doubt you are too Jac: As we're classmates again, it makes sense to me that we are civil and prepared to work together if necessary but I'm not going to attempt more than that, nor am I holding some kind of grudge which would prohibit the former, I thought I'd reassure you of that, as well as just say, hello, I suppose ๐Ÿ™‚ Savannah: You're right, it would be bizarre as well as counterproductive Savannah: though, we don't actually know each other any more, two formative years having passed, so I don't see why we can't start over Savannah: treating each other like we would our other classmates Jac: That sounds logical to me too Jac: I'd be happy to treat this as an introduction opposed to a reintroduction Savannah: okay Savannah: but before we do, I just want to say I'm really proud of you for getting in Jac: You too Jac: it's amazing, isn't it Jac: better than we had even visualized and worked and prayed for Savannah: I always knew you could do it Jac: I had no doubts about you, either Jac: potential that you'd changed your course and vision but whatever you put your mind and talent to Savannah: I did think you'd go to Bath, or that I would Jac: I could lie here and say something about preferring the history and culture of Edinburgh as a city, and finding St Andrews better in X Y Z but Jac: Bath didn't happen, is the reality of it Jac: but I'm not devastated, as I once would've been to be left with my 2nd choice Savannah: We don't have to lie, it didn't happen for me either, partly because catholic school did of course, but that's not the entirety of it Jac: I try to leave lying, however innocuous and pointless, two years ago, too Jac: Karma or otherwise, just stopped feeling worth it Jac: how was your new School? Savannah: A lot of things stopped feeling worth it to me too Savannah: Oh, Sienna liked it Savannah: I did not Jac: I am sorry to hear that Jac: I can't think of anything I would've liked less than being surrounded by other hormonal, crazy, moody, bitchy teenage girls either Savannah: at least she thrived, you wouldn't even recognise her now Savannah: she's so Savannah: Loud Jac: ๐Ÿ˜‚ Jac: Loud can be good Jac: at least some positives came of it all Savannah: she reminds me of how I remember Jude Savannah: but she's happy, I think Jac: I think you'd still have recognized Jude Jac: likely from a mile off, giving you time to escape Jac: I hope she is Savannah: ๐Ÿ˜„ Jac: and that you'll be happier here than you were there, too Savannah: unless either of my parents enrol, we can take that as a given Jac: I'll drink to that Jac: complimentary coffee, that is Savannah: for now anyway Jac: Hopefully the plans get a little more exciting Savannah: ๐Ÿ™Œ Jac: Have you heard any Psych school nights being organized or do you think one of us should bite that bullet and start the group chat? Savannah: we should do it Savannah: best foot forward, you know? Jac: Absolutely Jac: Why not, eh Jac: You're in halls too, right? Savannah: Yes Savannah: where are you? Jac: John Burnet, how about you? Savannah: You only get a single bed too! Savannah: I'm in University Hall Savannah: it's so pretty Jac: The nuns taught you well then ๐Ÿ˜› Jac: I think it's worth it for the architecture, we'll just have to remember not to roll Savannah: ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Savannah: It wasn't worth ANOTHER argument with my dad about co-ed Jac: and you get to have the Libraries literally right on your doorstep Jac: I was debating it, but I'm still better in smaller crowds, that sold JB to me ultimately Savannah: if my dad didn't run my life I totally would've applied there too Savannah: I love that it has a garden Jac: I know, right? Jac: Well you can use my little patch of ๐ŸŒท ๐ŸŒน ๐ŸŒบ ๐ŸŒธ ๐ŸŒผ ๐ŸŒป whenever you like, because I'll certainly be haunting the libraries enough Savannah: You haven't lost any of your sweetness Savannah: & of course you must, I hate studying alone Jac: I'll probably be tragically uncool forever, our classmates may as well find out sooner rather than later ๐Ÿ’ Jac: if the sight of all those books gets too much, there's always the ๐Ÿ– for maximum studying, I'm sure Savannah: No way! I had more fun with you than I've had with anyone else EVER Savannah: they'll find all your good points Jac: ๐Ÿ˜Š Jac: Okay, we did have some fun Savannah: a lot Jac: I can't/shan't disagree with that Savannah: it doesn't feel like two years Savannah: sometimes more like twenty, or like two months Jac: It is really weird, I felt like I haven't said it because it can't be overstated Jac: but good weird Jac: are any of your friends from Sligo here too? Jac: I don't know anyone Savannah: I don't know anyone either Jac: A familiar face is a good thing Jac: as is getting to know each other afresh, they can coexist Savannah: I thought it was for the best that nobody followed me here, until I saw you Jac: Shocking as it was Jac: glad the ๐Ÿ˜ฑ isn't permanent Jac: I'd hate to do that to you, honestly Savannah: you don't believe I could pull it off? Jac: Of course you could Jac: but your ๐Ÿ˜„ is undeniably a better look Savannah: my lips ARE very big, I could end up looking like a blow up doll if I'm forever open mouthed from today onwards Savannah: then I'd never marry a prince Jac: Why we're here, obviously Savannah: Everyone thinks so Savannah: just because my boyfriend dumped me after the leavers cert Jac: Oof Jac: that's rough Jac: though at least he didn't steal your Summer? I guess Savannah: Oh my god! That's exactly what he said Savannah: no wonder he reminded me of you Jac: Oh God ๐Ÿ˜ฌ are you suggesting I should be in Sallies with the rest of the fuckboys? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Jac: not the crowd I was hoping to get in with but, you know Savannah: where you are is perfect for you Jac: ๐Ÿคž Savannah: it feels right being here Jac: Yeah Jac: it really does Savannah: I was worried I wouldn't feel that when I actually got here but ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ Jac: I thought it'd be scarier being away from home Jac: but if anything, it's a relief Savannah: you don't have to share a room with Jude any more, it obviously would be Savannah: how is everyone though? Jac: ๐Ÿต๐Ÿ™Š Jac: No, they're good, all doing their own thing Jac: Jesse's got his music, the kids are the same old Jac: oh, Jameson got a girlfriend though, that's cute Savannah: I can't believe one brother is literally famous and the other is adorably loved up Savannah: Sienna hasn't had a boyfriend yet, I think that's my fault Jac: Honestly, they're both unbearable now ๐Ÿ˜ Jac: overprotective big sister vibes or off-putting dumping ex? Savannah: Jesse was always an acquired taste, which I never did Savannah: Oh, both, for sure ๐Ÿคซ Jac: Musically and personality-wise, he'd agree you have a point Jac: long as she's happy, like you said Jac: always found them too distracting myself Savannah: I suppose I just always needed a distraction Jac: Clearly, that's why we aren't having this conversation in Bath Jac: for the best, in the end ๐ŸŒŒ๐Ÿ”ฎ Savannah: I hope so Jac: Honestly, it's a better uni Jac: and I'm not just lying to myself/you to make us feel better ๐Ÿ˜‚ Jac: Delia Rockford, you remember her, right? Jac: She got into Bath, so, you aren't missing out, is what I mean Savannah: I hate her Jac: She's doing International Management and German Jac: the language of the future ๐Ÿคจ Savannah: She's German descent! That's basically cheating Jac: You'd think she's got a place at Cambridge studying classics the way she's been bragging Jac: they aren't remotely top in languages or whatever the hell International Management is but alright ๐Ÿ™„ Savannah: I'm so glad she blocked me after what happened during the party at Michelle Brennan's house Savannah: which wasn't even my fault Jac: Now that feels like a million years ago Savannah: It was Savannah: I don't think we were even friends yet Jac: We weren't for that long, in the grand scheme of things Jac: that's the weirdest part Jac: we were pretty intense, yeah Savannah: everything was pretty intense Jac: It was Jac: Isabelle is doing coaching at TUD Jac: we were never really the same but she's well in herself Savannah: She'll be incredible at that Savannah: if it had happened to me, there's no way I would've not been retaking the year Jac: I know Savannah: did you hear about my mum? Jac: No, I don't think I did? Savannah: she'll appreciate it not being common knowledge, I guess Jac: Is she okay? Savannah: She's doing better now Savannah: which I suppose means she's at about the same level as she was before I left Savannah: because she really struggled after Jac: It must've been really hard for her Jac: to have you two gone, and realize it probably was for the best Jac: did you see her much, in these two years? Savannah: not as much as I should've Jac: You can't be blamed for that Jac: you had to take care of yourself, and Sienna Savannah: but she needed me to stay Jac: Maybe she needed to sort herself out Jac: and she's getting there Jac: our parents shouldn't be our responsibility Savannah: It has to work out here, you know? Savannah: I can't go back Jac: Of course it will Jac: you're going to be fine, amazing Jac: and then you can do your masters and your Ph.D. and then marry a prince and you'll have several royal residences, neither of which will be in Dubo or Sligo Savannah: I'm just sick of things being painful, difficult is fine, but I want it not to hurt Savannah: which is a HUGE overshare if we met today Jac: it's cool Jac: I hear everyone is best friends for life fresher's week Savannah: that makes me feel a lot better Savannah: especially when I pause to consider how many of them I'm likely to cry on before it's over Jac: It's basically tradition Jac: you won't be the only one Jac: moving forward, it's bound to make you think more about what you're leaving behind, even if temporarily Savannah: I've missed you Savannah: sorry if that's like leaping over a boundary or something Jac: I wouldn't have bet on that being what you said, should I ever see you again Jac: but it's better than what I would've Savannah: It's not like this with anyone else Savannah: I can't change that Jac: I never really Jac: like I went out, people would talk to me, I'm not trying to sell a sob story here Jac: but you're right Jac: it was never the same with anyone else, not remotely Savannah: I've given you mine already, so if you have one, it's okay to tell it or not Savannah: even if I'm so embarrassed I did that Jac: Seriously, no need Jac: you were there to witness my unfinest hour Jac: I treated lots of people like shit Jac: Is, mainly Jac: but you too, in lots of ways Jac: not proud of it, but I changed, still am, hopefully Savannah: I hope you don't change too much though Jac: Yeah? Savannah: I thought you were perfect how you were Jac: And I'm the sweet one Savannah: we both made mistakes, but that's human Jac: It's been a while since anyone's accused me of being human Jac: all those exams Jac: ๐Ÿค– felt more fitting Savannah: & you look so ๐Ÿ‘ผ๐Ÿป Jac: You look as flawless as you ever did Savannah: My auntie mailed all her good skincare to Sligo Jac: expect no less ๐Ÿ™Œ Savannah: the fresher air was ๐Ÿ™Œ Savannah: even if the rural accents took me by surprise Jac: ๐Ÿ˜ต or ๐Ÿฅด surprise though? Savannah: not like ๐Ÿ˜Š ๐Ÿ˜‹ ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜˜ ๐Ÿฅฐ Jac: the accent here is pretty ๐Ÿคญ Jac: though Savannah: which one? ๐Ÿ˜„ Jac: Valid Jac: very town VS gown Savannah: which one though? Savannah: tell me Jac: The original Savannah: very Romeo & Juliet of you Jac: Oh no Jac: am I that cliche now? Savannah: we'll see Jac: Sounds slightly concerning Jac: but I'll do my best to subvert expectations Savannah: it'll be concerning if you get distracted by some boy's accent after working this hard to get here Savannah: unless he's a prince, obviously Jac: Not changed that much Jac: I'd get disowned if I married royalty, anyway Savannah: ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ‘ฐ Savannah: just adorable heirs to the throne Savannah: ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ถ Jac: adorable, illegitimate bastards โค Savannah: yes Savannah: or is that another cliche? Jac: Probably Jac: although if we are educated, career women now, any babies is beating expectations Savannah: except not really because every career woman is also determined to become a mother & prove she can have it all Jac: ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ‘ถ it is then Jac: maybe a dissertation topic, at any rate Savannah: ๐Ÿ˜ข Jac: ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ Jac: many as you like Savannah: they all need best friends Savannah: you have to stick to the plan Jac: Can I get through freshers first? Savannah: ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿพ Jac: Please, I'm no amateur Savannah: I hope not, I'm single & the point is we do it at the same time Jac: as am I Jac: not feeling any 1st year that hard, thanks ๐Ÿ˜ Savannah: you always date older, it's fine Jac: None of our lecturers were the one Jac: another cliche avoided Savannah: I'm not sad about that Jac: There's enough inequality of power about without actively seeking out the dynamic, agreed Savannah: ^^ Jac: the fashion show seems to have got the diversity memo though Jac: could be cool Savannah: it's going to be the highlight, I can feel it Jac: ๐Ÿ˜„ Jac: I was thinking Tues for our psych night, as nothing much is really going on Jac: what do you think? Savannah: good idea Jac: ๐Ÿ‘ Savannah: I'll start the chat if you want Jac: You were always better at talking Savannah: when it's not that important, but when it matters, you always know exactly what to say Savannah: at least to me Jac: You're easy to talk to Jac: in a way I really could never work out Savannah: There's nobody in my life right now who would agreed with that Savannah: so it must be you Jac: my inbox full of unreads would say otherwise but Jac: I'll take it Savannah: okay, it's us together Savannah: does that make you happier? Jac: Better Savannah: your hair got really long Savannah: I'm BEYOND jealous Jac: You've got no reason to be jealous of any other girl in the world Savannah: you're not any other girl in the world Savannah: ๐Ÿคซ๐Ÿคซ Jac: ๐Ÿ˜ถ Jac: Promise Savannah: it looks beautiful, I can't cope Jac: My ๐Ÿ˜ณ will not Savannah: ๐Ÿ’— Savannah: ๐ŸŒท ๐ŸŒบ ๐ŸŒธ Jac: Is that a dress code? Savannah: well NOW it is Jac: ๐Ÿ˜‚ Jac: My wardrobe can accomodate Jac: cheers for the heads up Savannah: you're welcome Savannah: & we're all set until ๐Ÿ’ฌ Jac: I better let you get on then Savannah: was it that good of a conversation starter? Jac: Solid Jac: will scare off anyone ๐Ÿ˜ฑ of ๐Ÿ’— ๐ŸŒท ๐ŸŒบ ๐ŸŒธ Savannah: well I obviously don't need that negativity in my life Savannah: but I didn't mean to end this conversation Jac: We don't have to Jac: What are your plans for the rest of the day, now the obligatory are over? Savannah: don't judge me, because I know I sound like a different person, but I haven't made any Jac: Thank God, me neither Jac: I didn't know how long any of that would take Jac: nor unpacking, which is technically done but that says nothing about the decorating I wanna do Savannah: I could help Jac: Or, slightly more fair, we could check out the town, see what shops are about? Savannah: I'd like that Jac: Cool ๐Ÿ™‚ Jac: let's have half an hour to debrief and make sure we don't look ๐Ÿ˜ฑ and then head out? Savannah: okay Savannah: you can put your hair up & save my life Jac: oh ๐Ÿคซ Savannah: I am serious Savannah: ๐Ÿš— ๐Ÿš• ๐Ÿšฒ are distraction enough Jac: You could rock a cast Jac: but I won't let it happen Savannah: what would you write on it? Jac: That's a good ๐ŸงŠbreaker Jac: but I'll have to keep that secret for now Savannah: if I ask everyone on Tuesday, will you tell me then? Jac: It's a deal Savannah: it is

The Oculus

Itadori Zoldyck spends his weekends in a small apartment playing video games all day. He can make his life "better," but he does not have the opportunity to demonstrate it. He excels at coding and technology in general. He made tons of inventions when he was still a kid and his parents always supported him, but he felt hopeless when they died. He lost both of his parents when he was very young, and he had to work a variety of jobs just to keep up with the bills and provide shelter for himself. Except for his goofy best friend Feitan Portor, he doesn't really have anyone. Despite his circumstance, he idolized Franklin Stark, the brilliant billionaire and CEO of the well-known tech firm Stark Industries. His friend invited him to a Stark Industries tech expo one day, and when Itadori learned that Franklin would be there, he agreed right away. Normally, he would refuse to attend any events, but this time, his idol, Franklin Stark, had approved it.
Itadori and Feitan were astounded by the technology and inventions they saw on the day of the expo. Jetpacks and flying cars were among the inventions that were being developed. The entire area has a futuristic vibe to it. Itadori was curious if he could make similar inventions, or if he could improve them. โ€œYou can make inventions like this, you know; I know you can because you're a genius in this field,โ€ Feitan said suddenly to Itadori. โ€œIt's all this computer nerd stuff.โ€ โ€œDo you really believe that?โ€ Itadori asked. I don't know how long it's been since my parents died; I've lost faith in myself and haven't had the chance to demonstrate my abilities to anyone.โ€ โ€œWell, you can begin by doing something you think is fantastic, and never forget to believe in yourself. You know how proud your parents were of you and all the things you've created.โ€ Feitan remarked. Itadori smiled, knowing that his friend was always joking around, but he would always be there for him.
They were walking around the tech expo when Itadori realized he couldn't find his friend Feitan. He immediately dialed his phone number, but no one answered. He was searching for his friend when he noticed him passing through the restricted area. It was a small room with a large door in the center. He pursued him in an attempt to stop his friend. โ€œWhat are you doing?โ€ he exclaimed. You'll be discovered, and we'll be kicked out of the expo. You know how much I've wanted to meet Franklin for a long time.โ€ โ€œI'm sorry, I was just curious, you know, what kind of technology they were developing in this area,โ€ she explained. Feitan replied. Aren't you a little intrigued? Let's take a quick look and then get out of here.โ€ Feitan knew from Itadori's expression that he wasn't convinced and that his friend would drag them out, but then the big door opened and someone came running in the opposite direction. They had no choice but to enter the restricted area.
When they walked into the room, they noticed a large white circular portal. There were a lot of people watching and taking notes. What was that for, Itadori wondered. Itadori knew the portal was a portal to somewhere when it suddenly released a large blue energy and became active, but he didn't know where. He suspected it led to another dimension, but he wasn't sure if it was possible with today's technology. They were simply observing the scientists present when the portal abruptly shut down, sending a small shockwave through the room that knocked them to the ground. Itadori and Fetitan were also knocked out, and when they awoke, they were surrounded by guards with guns drawn. โ€œWhat are you doing here?!,โ€ one of the guards exclaimed. Aren't you aware that this is a restricted area? This is a government-approved top-secret experiment. You are not permitted to enter. Both of you should be arrested right now!โ€ Itadori was taken aback and apprehensive at the same time. He was under pressure to figure out a way to get out of this situation, or he and his friend would be arrested and imprisoned, or worse, killed by one of the guards. He suddenly came up with a plan to save himself and his friend. The only way to save Feitan in his mind is for him to say, "I know how to fix the portal you're working on here. I am the best in my school and I also have a masters in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering." Suddenly, a well-dressed young man enters the room and says, โ€œLet's give this boy a chance, shall we? Heโ€™ll be imprisoned if heโ€™s bluffing.โ€ Because of this young man, the rest of the room fell silent. Franklin Stark, the CEO of Stark Industries, was the one who made the announcement.
Itadori was so shocked and happy when he saw his idol. So shocked that he couldnโ€™t move for a second. โ€œSo, show us what you got, kid. To help you, Iโ€™ll explain what we're doing here. That portal leads to another dimension, not to mention an advanced one. Itโ€™s so advanced that the technology there can either destroy our world or lead it into a new era. We tried so many tests, but the problem was not activating the portal, but rather sustaining it while someone was still inside. There has been a test where one of our employees was stuck there. Her name is Lucy Smith. She was our lead scientist and as Iโ€™ve mentioned our problem is to make the portal stay open long enough for us to get in and out safely. We tried everything to save the scientist but as you can see, we have no way of contacting her and we canโ€™t go through the portal because of the problem.โ€, said Franklin. โ€œSo, kid, show me what you've got. โ€œAssist us in saving this man and possibly dozens of others who could benefit from the technology from another dimension,โ€ he added. Itadori was under pressure because he didn't know what to do at first, but now that he knew about the portal, he knew what to do. Using his technological skills and knowledge. He created a program to handle the massive amounts of energy and a power source to keep the portal running long enough for them to enter and exit to the other dimension. Franklin was blown away by Itadori's abilities. He was so taken aback that he told him, "Not bad, kid." Do you want to be a part of my team? You have a lot of potential to follow in my footsteps as a successful inventor.โ€ Itadori felt relieved when he heard those words because he had accomplished his goal. He was the one who did it. Franklin's words had a similar effect on him. โ€œAll right, let's put it to the test, shall we?โ€ Franklin said, "You two are going to the other dimension with me." When they heard what Franklin said, both of the teenagers were taken aback. โ€œWhat are you saying?โ€ Itadori exclaimed. We're just regular teenagers, you know. We are unable to travel to another dimension. โ€œDon't you have anyone to help you with this?โ€ โ€œLook, kid, you've got a gift. Don't settle for anything less than the best. You have tremendous potential, and I want to take you to the other dimension with me so that we can develop technologies that will benefit humanity. Furthermore, this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. Franklin responded, "Would you really waste it?" Feitan eventually persuaded his friend to travel to the other dimension. Franklin put together a team that included himself, Feitan, and Itadori. They'll have two more people monitoring the portal to see how much time they have before the power source needs to be recharged. โ€œSee you on the other side, my friend,โ€ Feitan said as he entered the portal. Itadori grinned and greeted Feitan with a smile. They saw a large white light after entering the portal and were astounded by what they saw. It was truly a futuristic metropolis. There are flying cars everywhere, and even the trains are floating. Humanoid robots were seen casually assisting the people around them. They ventured deeper into the city in the hopes of uncovering information about Lucy's whereabouts. So far, they've relied solely on advanced technologies to locate Lucy. There is a device that allows you to view the security cameras installed throughout the building. You can even identify the individual who was caught on camera. However, after receiving the device, Itadori noticed a mysterious woman staring at them. She fled after attempting to confront the woman. They were chasing the woman down a small alley when they were suddenly approached by some evil humanoid robots who attempted to hit them. They were about to be cornered when the woman they were chasing suddenly assisted them in stopping the humanoid robot by temporarily disabling it.
Itadori then inquired as to the identity of the woman, to which she replied, "I am Lucy Smith, and I thought you were one of the guys chasing me." When I saw Mr. Franklin here, I immediately returned.โ€ โ€œWe've come to gather some data to aid in the development of technology for our world, and, of course, to save you,โ€ Franklin explained. Lucy explained that she is attempting to hide from the people present because they are aware that he is from another dimension. Lucy added, "They call themselves the Eternals." Lucy explained that they live in an advanced civilization where there are no wars or suffering, and only one government. She didn't say anything about stealing a valuable piece of technology from them, the Oculus. The Oculus is a cube of pure energy capable of destroying an entire world. Lucy isn't really a bad guy; she wants to use the cube to generate an infinite amount of energy that will benefit the entire world. Many people in the other dimension will suffer, however, because when the oculus leaves the other dimension, it will unleash a powerful shock wave that will destroy the entire dimension and its inhabitants. When they were about to leave the other dimension, Itadori noticed a glowing blue light from the bag. He immediately approached Lucy and asked what it was. Lucy, having been exposed, tried to talk it out but Feitan was skeptical about it. He told Itadori and Franklin that she was up to no good. After hearing this, Franklin approached Lucy and asked her to give her the bag. She refused. After that, Franklin became suspicious of Lucy as well and tried to take the bag from her. When Lucy noticed Franklin was becoming suspicious, she dashed to the portal. The three of them chased her down, but just as Itadori was about to catch up to her, she threw a grenade at him, knocking him down. When Feitan realized what had happened, he immediately called Franklin and told him to save Itadori and enter the portal. He intended to take Lucy on by himself. Someone grabbed Lucy's feet as she approached the portal, preventing her from passing through. Feitan was the culprit. Feitan tried everything he could to keep Lucy away from the portal so Franklin could get Itadori to safety. Franklin was well aware that Feitan would put his life on the line for his best friend. That was crystal clear to him. Franklin entered the portal just as it was about to close. Lucy escaped Feitan's clutches and kicked him away, allowing her to pass through the portal as well. The other dimension, along with Feitan and his companions, exploded when the cube exited the other dimension. After the three of them escaped through the portal, Franklin confronted Lucy and asked what had happened. The other dimension was destroyed as a result of the cube, Lucy explained. She continued, "When the cube exits the other dimension, it will unleash a massive shock wave that will destroy everything in its path." Franklin couldn't believe Feitan, along with the other inhabitants of the alternate dimension, had died. Feitan was supposed to be trapped in another dimension, but he is actually dead. He was concerned about Itadori's reaction to his best friend's death. He had no idea Itadori had heard everything; he was unable to move due to the grenade's damage. He was furious with himself because he believed it was his fault that Feitan had to make the sacrifice. Franklin questioned Lucy about why she had done it. โ€œIt was for our world,โ€ Lucy explained, โ€œbecause this cube has unlimited energy and can develop futuristic technologies.โ€ Even if it means killing dozens of people in the process, I would gladly do it. There can be no victory without sacrifice.โ€ Itadori was enraged when he learned of this. What Lucy said disgusted him greatly. โ€œDon't you dare make my best friend's life seem insignificant!โ€ he exclaimed. Not to mention the billions of people you've murdered!โ€ Given his circumstances, Franklin was surprised to learn that Itadori can communicate. Lucy smirked and giggled as she heard Itadori's words. Itadori used all of his remaining strength to stand
up when he heard her laugh. He inquired about Lucy's plans. โ€œFine, I'll tell you about my cube plans,โ€ she replied. I'll construct a power container to store the cube's energy and use it to develop technologies that will make me one of the world's greatest scientists, capable of assisting dozens of people all over the world. Don't you see what I'm talking about? This cube is going to save the world! Itadori and Franklin attempted to fight her, but she possesses a device that allows her to easily knock people out. She was able to flee. Itadori and Franklin stood up and talked about what had happened. Itadori told Franklin about how much of a good friend Feitan was. He was furious with himself for being so frail in the other dimension. Franklin cheered him up by telling him that he was not to blame. He also needs to stop Lucy if he doesn't want his friend's death to be in vain. It was Itadori's mission to stop Lucy when he realized this. He was the only one with the knowledge to stop Lucyโ€™s plan so Franklin went to him for help. He went to Stark Industries right away and used their technology to find Lucy. They eventually found Lucy after hours of searching and devised a strategy to apprehend her. Because they don't know much about the Oculus and only know that it's dangerous, Itadori devised a strategy to prevent Lucy from using it. Lucy was in a Stark Industries facility that had been abandoned, but some of the technology and cameras were still operational. Itadori first devised a method of hacking into the facility so that Lucy would be unaware of their presence. Franklin and Itadori discussed what they would do to Lucy once they had stopped her on their way to her. For a while, Itadori remained silent. โ€œAs much as I hate her for killing my friend, I can't kill her,โ€ he said suddenly. I don't want to do it. Perhaps there is still a way to persuade her that what she is doing is wrong. So, Mr. Franklin, here's the deal. When we arrive at the facility, I'd like you to leave me alone with her. Stay in the plane and keep an eye on us. If everything else fails, press this button. When Lucy said she was going to build a power container for the Oculus, I knew I had to do something about it, so I built this device that can hack into any device. It will be able to stop Lucy's plan once you press that button.โ€ Franklin was surprised to learn that Itadori had already devised a plan to stop Lucy, but he was determined to persuade her. Franklin stayed on the plane after arriving at the facility, as Itadori had requested.
Itadori and Lucy finally confronted each other. Lucy was taken aback when she saw Itadori approaching her from across the hall. Lucy stated, "You've got skills kid, I'll give you that." โ€œAre you here to put a stop to it? I could kill you right now, but I've decided against it because you have potential. I don't want to squander it. As a result, I'll make you an offer. Join me, and together we can make a difference in the world. โ€œAre you sure you don't want that?โ€ โ€œLucy, I know we haven't spent much time together, but from what I've seen of you in the short time we've interacted, I know you are a good person,โ€ Itadori replied. You want to help others, but your methods are ineffective. It is not worth it to put other people's lives on the line for the sake of progress. You have the ability to change the world, but this isn't the way to do it.โ€ Lucy was taken aback by Itadori's continued attempts to save her. She immediately remembered her past, recalling how she had been bullied as a child, but that someone had helped her and believed in her. โ€œDon't worry about them; they're just envious of your abilities,โ€ said the person. Don't let anyone put you down because you have the ability to change the world.โ€ She realized all the mistakes she had made after recalling this. โ€œYou're right, Itadori, what have I done?โ€ she exclaimed. All I wanted was for the good of the world because I want to make it a better place. When I was a kid, someone believed in me, but will he be proud of me now that he knows what I've accomplished?โ€ After saying this, a massive explosion erupted from the cube. โ€œIt is not too late to save other people,โ€ Itadori told her. โ€œAssist me in putting a stop to this.โ€ Lucy knew there was no stopping the cube now, and the power container couldn't handle it, which Itadori didn't know. There was only one thing she could think of as a solution. She instructed Itadori to hack into the Stark Industries mainframe. She only said that so Itadori could flee for his life. She intends to make a self-sacrifice in order to stop the cube and undo everything she has done. She then called Franklin to warn him to stay away from the facility and to offer her body to be mixed with the cube. She can control the cube to some extent with this. Then there was a massive blue explosion. Itadori and Franklin had escaped harm's way. Itadori tried to go to Lucy's location after realizing what had happened, but his wounds from the grenade were still present, and he was knocked out due to the shock. Itadori awakens in a white room where Franklin has been waiting for him. Itadori tried to stand up because he remembered what had happened and felt guilty for not being able to help Lucy. โ€œIt wasn't your fault, Itadori; in fact, you were the one who made Lucy realize what she had done and she changed her ways,โ€ Franklin said. She gave up her life for the sake of humanity.โ€ Lucy's need to sacrifice herself made Itadori a little sad. โ€œYou fool, stop moping around. โ€œAfter you're completely healed, you've got a lot of things to do,โ€ a rambunctious adolescent said. When Itadori heard the teenager's voice, he was both pleased and surprised. Feitan was the culprit. Everything Lucy had done had been restored. Everyone in the alternate dimension was also alive. The reason why the other dimension exploded when the Oculus left the dimension is because they needed the energy to keep the balance. When Lucy mixed her DNA with the cube, she had restored the other dimension along with all the people that were killed because of the cube. When she was in the other dimension, she saw Feitan and at first, Feitan didn't remember what happened. He tried to fight Lucy but when Lucy explained everything to him, he immediately helped her to bring the Oculus back to its original place. They encountered the authorities in the other dimension, and Feitan tried to explain Lucyโ€™s side and what had happened. After this, the authorities took the cube and Lucy was still punished because she stole the cube from the other dimension. She had already accepted this and was ready to
sacrifice herself for the peace of everyone. Feitan helped the people in the other dimension to restore what had been lost. In return, they taught Feitan their technology and how to utilize it. Following that, Franklin sought the help of Itadori and Feitan to study the cube and develop other technologies that would benefit the world.

ILLUSTRATION EXPLANATION:
This is the analysis and appreciation for the short story titled "The Oculus". It shows two people in front of a portal looking at a futuristic city with floating cars, trains, buildings, and a large tower with a blue light-emitting from it. The two people near the portal are the two main characters Itadori and Feitan. This image shows the scene in which they traveled to the other dimension in search of the assistant of Mr. Stark which is Lucy Smith. She is hinted from the many digital screens with the silhouette of a wanted person who came from another dimension. The illustration also shows that the dimension they traveled to is more advanced than theirs and that it has many technological advancements that they could learn from. The tower at the back is where the oculus is kept. It can be a kind of foreshadowing because the thing inside that tower is crucial to the progression of the story. This image shows the characters, setting, and the main plot points of the story whilst not revealing the plot itself.

Ok I had a long looong thing typed up but then my phone died and i lost it, so I'ma summarize:
Cassie's priorities are not "off", they're just not as simple as Marco's. Marco is the clear A to B guy, Cassie is the one who can subconsciously disentangle an altered timeline because she acts on cause and effect so many steps apart she's not even fully aware of being aware of them. Especially this early in the series (book 9 of 54).
Consider: Marco has had an apartment dwelling, computer and video games, worry about my dad and affording groceries kinda life. Of course he boils things down to the simplest elements. Cassie, on the other had, grew up on land owned and farmed by her family since the Civil War. She's very connected to it, to her sense of "home" and identity. She's very involved with her parents' vet work, her farm, her land, the forest around it and the animals that live in it. She knows where her food comes from, and it's not the grocery store (even if they don't grow crops on her farm, she's still much more aware of that). Her farm probably uses well water, instead of treated city water. The air she breathes, the water she drinks, she knows how dependent she is on all the things around her to make it, and all the things that could happen to make it unusable, unsurvivable.
In this quote Cassie is trying to make them understand that the forest isn't just a thing that exists that they can go "oh neat" and then go home to the urban development they live in. It's part of Earth, it needs protecting for being part of Earth, because humans are part of Earth and they also need all the things on it to survive, whether they know it or not. Maybe one forest is not that crucial, but neither is one town. One school. One person's brother, or mother. Let it be destroyed, even bit by bit, and they'll still lose. Humanity is done, either way.
Look, these books are from the 90s, when people were still hoping my generation could have a turning effect on environmentalism if we were made aware how important it was. Cassie gets shit on by the fandom for being a buzzkill, for caring about baby skunks when she's supposed to be saving humanity, for reminding everyone not to go completely fucking feral and lose their own humanity in the fight to save it. It's kind of telling, in a lot of ways, how we receive these books both then and now, because without her voice this would be a deeply, deeply different story.
Tl;dr - Marco "mr. Big Picture" ironically just defines humanity as humans, but to Cassie humans are one of a billion parts of the bigger thing that is "Earth". These characters are intentionally set as narrative foils, and they are both equally crucial to the team and to the story. They both need to be heard here, regardless of who the reader agrees with. It doesn't matter at all, actually, who the reader agrees with, because they are BOTH right, even if at this point further arguing is unproductive cuz in the end, they do have to save the damn forest even if they disagree on why.
โ€œ'You know, weโ€™re not the only thing going on here,โ€™ I said.
They all looked puzzled.
I took a deep breath. โ€˜I mean, you know, this forest is important even if Tobias and Ax werenโ€™t here. It makes me sick to think of people chopping down all these trees.โ€™
โ€˜Oh, puh-leeze, not the Earth-Mother thing, okay?โ€™ Marco said. โ€˜I almost got myself fried by a Dracon beam. That wasnโ€™t to save Bambi, all right?โ€™
'Look, Marco, we are not the only animals around. We, of all people, ought to understand that.โ€™
'Cassie, who cares? Weโ€™re fighting to save the world from the Yeerks. Who cares about some ecology, tree-hugging, recycle-your-cans stuff?โ€™
'I do,โ€™ I said.
'Well, thatโ€™s you,โ€™ Marco said. 'Personally, what I care about is the fact that a bunch of Yeerks have that, that fortress back there, and theyโ€™re going to use it to tear up these woods looking for us.โ€™
I started to say something back, when Jake held up his hand. 'It seems to me it doesnโ€™t matter whether we have slightly different ideas about why we care. I mean, either way, we want to stop this from going on. Right?'โ€
