i wish leo got a better design bc maximus kong is FUGLYYYYYY and easily tops mikey on Unpleasant Design. but mikey still makes me so sad. why can i count his teeth. why is he wearing underpants. get outtt man!!!!!!! and their designs dont need to be cute or pretty. leo is literally double mutated. i just wish she didnt LOOK LIKE THAT.

been playing around with the idea of mikey still being left alone in the beginning (obv with a much smaller chompy and ice cream kitty) and then finding some early meerkat village. they help him out maybe in contrast to previous groups being hostile and thats why they specifically get the map. they only way i can think of him getting the location and road markings is some form of astral projection?? like projecting to the oasis and making his way back to himself. but i dont think thats how it works. but who cares

i think bc of that mikey would also be a lot more familiar with meerkat culture and him n mira bond over it. anyway. yap over

One of our great laundry mysteries is that I never bother to match my socks*, my beloved always matches theirs and yet when I finish my laundry I have the same number of socks and my beloved is always missing several.

*I just got a bunch of crazy pattern packs and I randomly assign them to each other. I’ll match them willy nilly if they both have polka dots or stripes or similar colors. If a pair lines up that actually matches I don’t deliberately separate them and in fact I view it as slightly lucky to wear socks that came together by chance.

the thing about the "jason only has one-night stands" comment (which can be read as damian speaking from ignorance so it's fine) is that I personally think that post uth he did have a very self-destructive period where he did have lots of ons as a way to try and fail to feel closeness to another person (one-year-later was his cruising era, if you will). which didn't work at all and probably only made him feel lonelier. and he'd stop because, among other more plot-related reasons (when would he have the time!), he's just not naturally inclined to be casual about ANYTHING. but I know whoever wrote that story wasn't thinking about it like that and just saw "single guy" and called it a day.

I think Manny will never truly understand Diego and Sid's issues with blood family. The three unite in the loss of it but Manny's mate and cub loved him for who he was and apparently never doubted that.

Diego's pack did not see his worth as a member but as a tool and weapon, their "love" was conditional, manipulative and fake

And Sid's family, from my understanding, simply hated his guts SO much they just prefered to abandon him and possibly leave that social creature to die in the wild.

Something I would've loved to see would be the trio bonding and seeing these things about each other. Manny loves and protects and connects with the boys but Sid and Diego can have an intimate connection bonding over hateful/abusive families and their struggle accepting that.

But maybe too could Diego and Manny understand each other by their serious masks formed by need and their need to protect their herd, as well as maybe issues of self-worth if said mission to protect their loved ones fail. Idk. (I think they had something a bit like that in the third movie? But focusing a lot on their masculinity and, not gonna lie, their fragile view of it- Idk, I'm not a born man, I don't get it-)

hey when they wrote "knight behind bars" and they wrote kitt helping a couple get together and they gave him the line "Some day, it will be my turn" [to find love]. did they know what they were doing. did they know that in some 40 years some gay autistic robot-obsessed little freak on tumblr would not stop thinking about it for weeks and write literal dozens of paragraphs screaming about it on discord. did they know they were going to ruin Me, Specifically, with this concept that feels like the culmination of everything kitt has gone through through the show and such a fascinating thing to think about in regards to michael and kitt's relationship,

one of the themes of knight rider is kitt developing as a Person, developing a line between the Knight Industries Two-Thousand, and Kitt. discovering humanity, his own emotions, the joys of the seemingly and logically pointless, and often through the lens of his own driver, his partner, his friend, Michael - his primary guide through all these experiences, his reference for those human things he doesn't understand. and as much as he initially claims to not be capable of experiencing emotions, of understanding feelings, he learns to. he experiences a wide range of emotions through the show even while claiming he doesn't, he even learns fear and insecurity. perhaps it's only natural a robot would learn to love, or at the very least be terribly curious about it and wonder if such a thing could ever exist for Him

the majority of people are not exactly kind to kitt. they talk about him like he's not there, they talk about him like he's a machine, a novelty, some people are even scared of or disturbed by him when all he's trying to do is make polite conversation and company. he's always Othered - there's no other cars like him (at least not anymore), but there's no other person like him either, he doesn't truly belong among humans or vehicles. some of the technicians at FLAG don't even seem to fully respect him as a person, at least they don't based on my vague recollection of how they talk about him in Junkyard Dog. when Michael asks him after KARR is destroyed if it feels good to be one of a kind again, he doesn't say yes or no - he only says it's a "familiar feeling." it may be familiar, but it's surely also isolating, and i think that's something he'd realize as he slowly picks up this curiosity about love. where could he even find it when so few people see him as an equal person to begin with?

and then there's michael. oh my god, and then there's michael. no matter what flavor you choose to read it in, the whole show is about their relationship, they're a duo, a set Not to be separated, they're Partners. they work together, they worry about and look after each other (forever insane about when kitt was a melted shell, Michael stuck around the garage for hours, waiting for any news like a worried spouse, constantly checking on him every opportunity he got... encouraging him to recover, and even helping paint back on his protective coating... kitt always looks after michael, but for once, it's michael's turn to look after Him), in a way they were Made for each other - Kitt more literally, being programmed for Michael and holding his namesake, but Michael was also made in a sense for the pilot program, hand picked and given a second life to work for the foundation and with this strange supercar. and even if they had a rocky start, michael comes to view kitt as a person - car, TV set, or computer core, Kitt is his partner, his buddy. he helps him find himself, guides him and teaches him about these things that make us human, and in a way, kitt becomes human - but his entire experience is still through the perspective of an AI in a car, it's still very unique and isolating, and I think he sort of grows into his own limitations, he's finally brushing against the walls that define him.

he learns of love, and then he learns to dream Of love. these things he sees in the movies, that michael tells him about, that he so often sees michael Partaking in that he gets so oddly jealous of, doesn't it all seem so wonderful? he's very curious. but who could ever love steel and circuitry, who could ever see him as an equal let alone a partner in a romantic sense? who would ever love a car and all the limitations That comes with? it's a problem for a hypothetical hopeful Some Day, in the meantime stuck between two worlds where he doesn't perfectly belong to either, where no car Can love him and no human seemingly Would love him...

and michael loves him anyway. before either of them really realize or talk about it, in spite of everything, in any form, regardless of the fact it wouldn't be a typical relationship by absolutely any means, michael loves him anyway. kitt is as much a person to him as bonnie or devon or RC, and that person is someone he loves and cares for deeply. the feeling is mutual, kitt's world revolves around michael, he's one of the most important people in kitt's life, and he'd do anything to protect him.

and it is michael that will finally teach him to love, and what it means to feel loved in turn, to be loved as the person he undoubtedly is.

Fling poly vampire au !!! I'm kind of writing a fic about them, idk if I will ever finish it though (More info abr the AU under the cut)

In my AU there is an old vampire tradition where vampires give away their immortality by letting their loved one kill them, as a big gesture of love, so Dice wants to get a lover eventually just because he doesn't want to live forever lol

Dice is a human for the most part, Ramu&Gen are trying to trick him initially but he figured out they are vampires since day one tbh but never mentioned, so he just goes "uh, yeah sure" to whatever excuse they make about the subject, he doesn't mind them "lying" to him because the feelings Dice has for them are honest!! And that's enough!!! (Big fan of fling poly dynamic Dice being accidentally super honest about his feelings about them, while ameyume explodes internally over it)

Ameyume dynamic is, they start working together but don't really trust each other much, but eventually they get closer, then because Ramu is weak and needs blood often Gen offers his own, and Ramu always treats the humans he drinks blood from like lovers, so by usual he gets very flirty with Gen, which drives him insane (he thinks Ramuda is not serious about it and is being insensitive about Gen's feelings, while Ramuda IS serious, he just didn't think labeling what they have was necessary😭)

Honestly anything you can do together to break the soul crushing monotony of his life. Even just those little life adventures like going to a Denny's at 3 in the morning really help him feel like he's alive for once. Also food. Buy him food, cook him food, give him food. That they're fun. They're just fun! And easy to talk to. And they make him feel so much less alone. It's nice being around them. It's healing. Life sucks but it can be improved with good company.

i had to think on this to word it properly because i have quite literally been yapping so much today that my brain can't handle it, but ngl, if syd does decide to take the offer, i need carmy to go through the equivalent of the nine stages of grief. his groveling era starts now. (s4 yap sesh, aka this isn't coherent and i'm just talking your heads off)

literally since s1 she's played a major role in getting the beef/bear to where it is right now. her ideas and their uniqueness is what allows the restaurant to not completely crash, which is why as a black woman i definitely get her frustration with carmy getting most, if not all of the credit in the end. plus with him fucking with her ideas as of recent and with her having to be the peacemaker all the time...how she hasn't punched him yet is beyond me. in s4 we need to bring back beating the shit out of characters jaw plays when they're irritating. (richie...your time to shine.)

so i kind of do want her to take the offer. i would hope it would allow for more syd screentime as well!! cause s3 was lacking. (storer, i want a solo episode for her. let me learn about syd's background in it too, and my life is yours.) i need her to have her moment to shine, and i want carmy to feel bad about what he lost. if we're gonna haunt people? this is the haunt i want. i want him to see articles on her, word of mouth, all of it—if he's getting a single moment of peace about it/doesn't feel bad about syd leaving and she has to come back with her tail between her legs instead then i'm asking storer to meet me out back so we can fight.

🙂‍↕️ also also, if this does happen, i kinda want them to be beefing a little (does this count as a pun?)...if we're gonna make them be cool with each other again like earlier szns, i feel like we're gonna have to properly take off the bandaid. as mentioned in a prev post i made, in the case of her taking the offer, i really want her to confront carmy for his behavior before she goes. i had also talked about this w/ some friends before s3 even came out, but the way i need a syd and carmy argument so bad. i think the conversation about the offer would honestly not go so well, especially considering carmy's state right now.

that's the kind of acting i need for this argument to prompt syd to leave. i need that pipeline of carmy's anger (hence the rivalry? if that's the word i'm looking for. i just feel like he'd be petty about her taking the offer and try to one up her in the early stages of her leaving.) turning into immediate guilt similar to how it was in the review ep when syd quit. insult to injury would be if the bear got affected by her leaving, by the way. whether thats menu wise or the rest of the crew just not being in the mood for carmy's bullshit, i'll take it.

so, a tldr: i need syd to put carmy in his place.

They have a brief extremely passionate relationship charged with a lot of guilt on Darryl's part and then never see each other again because Darryl leaves the Forgotten Realms. Haven't quite finished the season yet don't tell me if this contradicts canon
