EVERYONE is ready to fight for their final life.

They’re as ready as they can be to go against something so evil JLD are scared of it.

SO when the dome that was sealing them away from the summoner finally shatters they are expecting some huge eldritch being, something made of pure nightmares... Only...

Only to find an old tape recorder in the middle of the summoning circle...

Everything is dead silent. No one moves...

Then it clicks on and makes a loud noise.

The noise?

It was the no longer in service beep.

“We’re, not, sorry.” a teenage voice began after the beep ended, startling everyone as they weren’t expecting this at all “But the Ghost King you are trying to reach is no longer in service or rather King anymore. Thus any big evil world ending plans you have made will not be approved during my reign. Please, get a life and try to actually live it because I will not be ending anyone's or mass genocide anything... Also to the really insane Fruitloop that tried summoning a being with the warning of "will cause the end of your world". I am the Ghost King now, eventually everything and everyone will enter my domain regardless of who, when, how, or why. That is something I can wait for, I got no reason to speed it up.... So have a pleasant day and enjoy being arrested or ended for doing this dumb summoning if you decided to do this in front of like everyone in your world or something... Goodbye!”

The world went silent after that.

So like my Samsung broke some months back in October of 2023, got a new iPhone and all my good memes were in Samsung Photos and didn’t backup to Google Photos.

All my good goofy reaction images are on that Samsung, all the ones I have in iCloud are super negative ones I downloaded when I still used Twitter actively in 2021-2022 (dark times).

There’s no silly faces, funny dogs, it’s horrible! And I can’t afford to get my phone fixed (I am not baroque, I am broke 😔📉)

So like, if you could spare a goofy meme for a poor beggar like me since i may delete most of the ones I have right now because I hate them all, that would go a long way to me rebuilding my meme collection (i use memes on a daily basis it’s literally my love language, and my speaking language)

It's been two weeks since I got home and I'm still incredibly in my feelings about the Posthuman Cabaret (more thoughts below, photos by Nora Bellamy and Lauren Jennings).

For a week I got to live the very best version of my life; working and laughing with some of the kindest, warmest, most talented people I've ever had the privilege to call my friends. Returning to the stage to be a part of something much bigger than myself. Meeting people who told me they were so affected by some songs I sang in my apartment a few years ago that they flew all the way out to hear me sing them in person. It was a week of doing the things I love with people I love, and it was beautiful.

Now, I'm home. My new friends are all far away, as are most of my old ones, and I've never been particularly adept at keeping in contact across distances. I'm chipping away at my novel, haphazardly plunking away at joanna newsom songs on the piano, all to keep myself sane through dealing with the Plymouth public in my retail job. I'm surviving. But for that one week, my lord, I was living.

I missed theater. I missed singing. I missed performing. But really I missed working together with a community of people I connected with to build art together. That's what's truly special to me. It's hard to not know when that feeling will arrive again.

But it will someday, and when it does, it'll be magical.
