How infuriating that even the very image of herself failed to project confidence in her plan. "Come on," she pleaded to the mirror. "You can't doubt me too! Tikki was just being paranoid. And, sure, Daizzi said the whole dinner idea was too romantic, but he says that about everything! He said that about my pasta salad last week. And this is sooo not romantic! That's why we're dressed so professionally, remember?" She shot her reflection a pair of finger guns.

2. a character whose POV you’re currently exploring

currently rogue trader does have me in a little bit of a chokehold so i have been a bit sidetracked by that (putting space catholics in Situations yk how it is)

dragon age-wise though i’ve been poking around and trying to nail down solas’ voice for a little wip in the de riva collection <- worldstate ria ( @ikarons ) and i cooked up where everyone (seriously, everyone) has put a spy into the fifth talon’s house :)

it’s not exactly through his pov but the blood magic tie with rook blurs the line between the two characters a lot more so it’s been a fun little challenge trying to bring that out!

oh this is a tough one………………. i am constantly finding myself in little research rabbit holes tbh

outing myself as a medieval lit enjoyer but the one i had the most fun with was probably when i was workshopping a fic that was going to be a dragon age take on the canterbury tales with a cast of familiar characters making a pilgrimage to the temple of sacred ashes. getting to indulge in reading a million essays abt social & religious history in the 14th century was a joy tbh

Random Drabble - Rock Musician AU has me VERY intrigued :)

Hiii and thank you for your kind ask @ultrarebelheart/@illegalcerebral! <3 This is in response to this WIP Game.

It's an Adar/Celebrimbor (silverscars) Modern!AU oneshot, with Celebrimbor as an A&R rep for a music label and Adar as the lead singer of a band Celebrimbor wants to acquire for the label.

Fun fact: I started this one-shot, got distracted by my current multi-chapter fic, and continued it about 4-5 weeks later, something I haven't done very often before.

Second fun fact: What this was meant to be was a small PWP one-shot. What it ended up being - so far, since I haven't gotten around to editing it yet - is an incredibly long PWP one-shot. Oops?

And of course I can share a small snippet as well, hope you like it! :D

And then there was Adar himself; with his dark, long hair, scarred body, the way his top clung to his torso and how his all-black clothes complemented his pale skin, he cut a striking figure already – and he had the attractive face to match it –, but this guy also had a stage presence that could rival the best of the business.

He appeared self-assured, smug even, in his performance, but there was also a fragility underneath, a sense of vulnerability that Celebrimbor could not deny was intensely alluring. All this drenched in an inherent sensuality that permeated every single performance, be it an aggressive song that spoke of rebellion, a ballad grieving the mistakes of the past, or indeed a song that spoke of romance and of unfulfilled desire coupled with a need for beauty and companionship.

By the end of the performance, Celebrimbor had understood both the appeal of the band itself and the reason why Gil-Galad had sent him out here to try and win them over. This group was almost guaranteed to make it big one day, as they had a real talent that could be harnessed, encouraged and improved upon.

I HAVE SEVERAL but the big one is SAFETY CONCERN!!!!

A SAFETY CONCERN is a 3zun canon divergence fixit based off that post that went around a bit ago abt fixing NMJ's impending qi deviation via dual cultivation. It makes full and beautiful use of this premise to lay beautiful and efficient 3zun fixit groundwork from jump does FANTASTIC motive and character work on everybody (including OCs!!!) and is generally rent free in my head. I need to reread Safety Concern. The last chapter left off on a fantastic note and I am waiting for update so patiencefully. Every single POV character is insane.

Tagged by @thetragicallynerdy to share the first lines of my last ten fics! (Thank you for all the tags!!) I think I did this ages ago but I truly can't remember which ones I posted at the time, so I might as well do all ten!

Table Manners (Usopp/Sanji, Sanji teachs Usopp about fine dining etiquette)

See, there are some rules about the world that Usopp is still learning. He likes to think he’s a quick study—he’s kind of had to be, given he always seems to end up with the jobs nobody else wants—but weird things still catch him off guard: little details he’s never had a reason to notice, or care about.

2. Rosmarinus (Sanji + Nami, Sanji gives Nami a haircut and has some Feelings about it)

Sanji wouldn’t call hairdressing a particular talent of his, any more than Zoro would probably call lifting heavy objects a talent. It’s simply another application that his hands happen to be well suited for.

3. The Oar that Leads Us (Nami + Sanji, Nami and Sanji get stranded together in the East Blue)

They take stock in a moment of hard-fought calm: Sanji counts the food, while Nami counts her bruises.
