Glitter
His head is pounding, and the room is swaying slightly, but he doesn’t feel that sick… and the taste of bile doesn’t linger in his mouth…
He tries to remember, but everything is a distant blur… he remembers…
Being on Gon’s knee…
His face feels hot…
He presses his palms to his cheeks; his lips parted open.
He thinks… Gon brushed his teeth… it’s all fuzzy, but he remembers pressing up to Gon’s chest, and resting his head there, giggling happily.

FLASHBACK
"Flash news. you have a little sister"
masterlist
Part 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1993
before season 1
John Winchester drove the Impala 67 through the highway on his way to Louisiana. The only thing that could be heard in the car was the familiar humming of the engine and the rock music playing on the speakers. 10 years later after the death of his wife with another kid. A result from one of his many hook-ups. Never had he expected it would come back at him and slap him across the face like this had. The mother of the child was dead. Killed by an overdose so the officer that had called him had said. Jhon cursed the moment he had left the qoman his phone number with all his soul. Now he wouldn't have to be dealing with a 2 year old kid and gotten her into the life he led. Hunting was no way to raise a little girl. But if he had been able to raise his two sons he would be able to raise the girl. At least he hoped so.
Dean glanced at his father, noticing the tight grip he had on the car wherl, the way his expression was hard and how his body was tense. The 14 year old new to stay out of his way for now, he had no idea where they were going, a hunt he suspected, but somehow his father's actitude had him restless. Something nagged in the back of his mind that this wasn't a normal hunt. Maybe this wasn't a hunt at all. He caught his younger brothers eye through the rear view mirror and new he was feeling the same way.
It didn't take Ling for them to finally reach the police department in Lafayette. Jhon turned off the engine and sat for a moment before sighting.
"Stay in the car boys"
Sam and Dean watched silently as Jhon entered the building.
"Did dad tell you why are we here?" The 10 year old asked his brother.
"No. Somehow I know this isn't a hunt" Dean answered.
It didn't take long before John exited the building again. But this time with a toddler holding his hand and a pink bag over his shoulder.
Dean and Sam watched stunned "what the h-"
John opened the back door for the little girl to climb in next to Sam tossing the bag next to her.
"Yn this are your older brothers Sam and Dean" John pointed at each boy correspondingly each boy watched surprised for a moment.
Yn gave them a shy smile then looked down at her lap where she was holding a worn teddy bear.
Seeing that no words were going to be said, John closed the back door and climbed back into the driver's seat. The boys were both stunned. They kept glanding to the little girl trying to decide what was going on. But this was it. They had a sister. A little sister. They couldent get that on their head yet.
"Yn are you hungry? We are stopping in a dinner closse by" Jhon broke the silence looking back at the girl.
Yn just nodded without lifting her face.
It took only a few minutes before they reached it the car filled with an uncomfortable silence.
Once he had parked the car Jhon turned to Dean. "Take care of her Dean" it would have sounded like a father telling his son to take care of his little sister if he had used a tender fathery voice, but instead his voice came as a command.
"Yes sir" came the immediate response. What was to be expected by a boy who had been drilled since a child to be a soldier, to obey commands and hot overthinking it.
With a short nod Jhon exited the car and walked inside the dinner.
Sam turned to his new found sister "come on" he extended his hand for her to take and she shyly did. He opened the car door and helped her out, the ten year old gave her a smile "you have a nice bear, whats its name?"
Craddling the teddy close to her she spoke for the first time "Mr. Cottons"
"Cool name. Im Dean, this is my little brother Sammy. He's 10 and Im 14" dean walked up to them presenting himself and sam again.
Looking up at him the young girl gave a small smile "Im Yn. Im 2" she held up two fingers.
"Really? I would have though you'd be older" sam commented getting a smile out of Yn. Kids loved being called older than what they really were.
"Do you like hamburgers booger?" Dean asked niknaming her.
Yn smille turned into a full grin showing dimpled cheeks her eyes lighting up "yes!"
Dean couldent help the smile that came into his face "then come on" he reached out to take her hand and Yn willingly let him holding Mr. Cottons tigtly in the other "maybe dad will even let us buy pie. Do you like pie?"
"I love love love pie!" The little girl said with enthusiasm making the boys smile.
Maybe having a little sister wouldent be so bad. Maybe it would be the one normal thing that they would have in their messed up lives.
Walking into the dinner little sister in hand and younger brother walking beside them. Dean swore in that moment that he would do anything to keep Yn being a little girl as long as he could. No matter what his dad said.
if any of you have any ideas I am all ears <333

Hi I read your post about the fallen victims and I had to stop at 5 year old Ido Avigal and just cry. If he was still with us he would've been my nephew's age today (and my nephew is my entire world). And his adorable smile looks like my nephew's so it's even more painful. I can't imagine what his family feels or his friends. Poor thing. I hate all of the pain and suffering in the world I truly hate it.
I'm not Jewish but I will pray for these people and their loved ones. I hope their loved ones have a strong support system and that pain will probably never go away but I hope their loved ones find strength and peace and courage to continue living.
Idk I'm rambly and emotional.
Sending you hugs too. 🫂
Hi Nonnie!
Thank you so much for your very humane response! I have a nephew as well, I know exactly what you mean. I've always loved and adored kids, but there was something about accompanying my sister on her motherhood journey that made me realize just how much more it is to be a parent. And in that sense, an uncle or aunt, too. What it means to raise a child, and love them before they're even born, and be so invested in every single second for years, things I might have known as an idea, but have such a more profound impact when you actually experience them...
Ido Avigal specifically is someone who I remembered even before my sis got pregnant. Like you said, that sweet smile! The contrast before the first pic of him that was shared, in which he's seen in a Purim costume (such a joyous occasion, and you take it in while trying to process such a tragedy). The fact that the family did everything right... When Hamas fired their rocket, the warning siren went off, the family heard it in time, they all got into the bomb shelter, they closed the door and the window... they did everything right. And still, the rocket hit the next door building, a splinter of the rocket flew off and hit their window at such an angle, that it went through the shut metal covers on the window. Ido passed away a few hours later, in a hospital, but the family had to watch him get hit with a lethal strike right in front of their eyes.
How did it happen? Because when the decision was made on how thick the metal covers over the windows in every bomb shelter had to be, Hamas' rockets were less advanced than they are now. Even with all of the effort Israel invests in it, it's simply not possible to keep "updating" our bomb shelters at the same speed Hamas get rocket upgrades from Iran. That's the tragedy. That defense systems, no matter how good, are always bound to fail eventually. And we can talk about statistics (Iron Dome did succeed in intercepting 97% of rocket threats in May 2021), for that one family, nothing is going to ever fix what happened, and bring their kid back.
If Israel hadn't left Gaza in 2005, our soldiers could have done more to intercept what Hamas is getting from Iran, to make sure they can't upgrade their rockets, and become more lethal. But we didn't want to rule over Gaza anymore, we wanted to try giving it to the Palestinians, give them autonomy, give them something to develop and invest in, give them something to lose if they choose terrorism, so that hopefully they wouldn't... So here we are, realizing we have to sacrifice our 18 and 19 year old children in order to protect our 5 year old kids, the kind of choice that no nation, that no parent and family, should have to make.
And you know what's even worse? Since Ido was killed, in May 2021, I've seen his pic more than once, used in anti-Israel propaganda, presenting him as if he was a Palestinian kid (along with Nadine Awad, a 14 years old Israeli Arab Muslim Bedouine girl, who was also killed by Hamas during the same time). Ido's mom publicly spoke out against them doing this, BTW. They're literally appropriating our dead, and using them against us, to de-legitimize our self-defense, and bring about more murdered Israelis. I can't understand that kind of moral failure other than in terms of antisemitism.
I can tell you that Ido's dad wrote and published a song in his son's memory, called "measured hope," and an article from two days ago stated that Ido's mom has been giving interview to explain Israelis better to the world, since Oct 7.
Thank you again for the very kind words and hugs! Sending you big hugs and much love right back! xoxox

IWTV E4 “A Ruthless Pursuit of Blood with All a Child’s Demanding.” Claudia discussing how it feels to escape poverty to being adopted into wealth, struggling in her existence without peers even during her second childhood and how she does not even care to have the veneer of mortal manners around Louis’s family, what Charlie as her last peer meant to her, and her mortal upbringing prior to Lestat + Louis.
And I realized, what I thought was Heaven was just some nice room. And what I thought were angels were really hell demons.
Uncle Les and Daddy Louis were rich. They had nice clothes and a nice auto carriage and a funny way of being nice to each other.
I gotta go to bed when the rest of the world wakes up, so there's less kids to play with...
Daddy Lou said I had been away from people too long. I didn't know how to behave right anymore. But Uncle Les said, I behaved just fine.
Diary, his name is Charlie. He's got veins like rivers. They flow right down his arms. …Charlie's death ushered in one of the darkest eras in our lives. The oh-so-delicate balance of our oh-so-delicate household was shattered. For Claudia, all humans died with Charlie.
And, diary, you'd think a girl whose mama died in childbirth... whose daddy gave her away to a mean old auntie who beat her 'cause no one said she couldn't, who died in a fire but came back by the blood magic of two demons, well, you'd think that girl wouldn't know what funny was. But you'd be wrong, diary. And if I told you, dumb diary, that that same girl was being raised to kill like her demon parents did, to take two souls a day so she could stay in the same flat-chested, hairless-crotched 14-year-old baby doll body as her mind and spirit turn 19, 20, 25, 63, 358, you dumb, dumb diary, I bet you'd say to anyone who'd listen, "Fun? Fun? How does she even get up in the morning?" Well, let me tell you something, you stuck-up, flower-covered, three-dollar fancy fսcking paper diary, I'm doin' just fine. (diary pages read aloud as Claudia self harms at the end of e4)
IWTV E5 “A Vile Hunger for Your Hammering Heart”. Claudia discussing her life/reckoning with the fate of her premature existence.
"Dear Diary, am I gonna be a virgin every single time I do it? Won't my skin down there grow back like my hair does when I cut it?"
Who am I supposed to love? You two have each other. Who's my Lestat? Who's my Louis? I’m not human. What human would want me? Perverts? Like the uncle at the roomin' house who used to watch me pee? Or little boys? And 40 years from now... still little boys? How are you gonna fix it, huh?… (turns to Louis) [Lestat] treats us like shit and you just take it! And you, [turns to Lestat] cruel as the devil ever made, to deny me one love when you’ve got two.
[Talking to Louis in her room after the confrontation at the dinner table] I remember the night I was made, the fire chokin' me, you carryin' me out through the flame and the smokes. But then why'd you take me home? Why not a hospital? …. But I was breathin'! Maybe I'd have a handsome husband by now. Or maybe he'd be plain but with a good disposition. That'd be fine, too. I'd be sweepin' floors, makin' dinners, nursin' babies. Maybe I'd go to church. You think on that some.
How does Claudia react after her rape? She exhibits textbook behaviors.
Co-dependency.
I spend time following Louis and Lestat now that I am my own woman... with no obvious sense of why I follow them, other than meaning slowly disintegrates without them...My companions in immortality.
but wait.. u might ask: doesn’t this contradict what she said years earlier in this same episode about wanting ‘her own Lestat and Louis’? is this Louis or Armand somehow forging Claudia’s diary? or is this a rape victim shortly after the actual experience struggling with her emotional+ mental state and in that frame of mind going back to the immortal family she finds to be a more familiar sort of ‘evil’ than the unknown vampire that raped her, especially after witnessing Louis weep over the grave Grace made of him? to Claudia here, being Louis’s ‘sister’ is balm put onto a bleeding wound.
Hypervigilance over her wider situation ad an Enmeshment with Louis, as they both have endured incredibly traumatizing events (with Claudia being raped + shortly after, witnessing Louis being beaten) and are without Lestat for six years following the end of E5 picking up the pieces. it is Claudia who tends to Louis in his most vulnerable here, and Louis struggles with that, wanting to be ‘her knight in vengeful black’ in return.
She's grown very protective of me. That's what this is. It's why it's hard. She came back altered when she left us. There's a darkness in her that wasn't there before. Give her a little time. [Louis is trying to appease Lestat here in their ‘compromise’, but there is a key bit of truth in his observations here.]
Claudia learned very early on, as early as E4 when Louis asked her mentally about Charlie, how to block her mind off from Louis. and with her traumatic experiences, its all but said that hypervigilance protects her mind further (as shown in the S2 trailer when Armand comments on it). When Lestat steals her from off the train, he also threatens her:
Because if you try this again, Claudia, I won't snap your leg, defile your pocket, and zoom off on a motorbike. I'll turn your bones to dust.
Is it any wonder Claudia draws the comparison to Bruce when she talks to Louis, especially when Louis in the season finale plays the role of a honey trap to the very same lover who almost ‘killed Louis’, as Claudia [and Daniel alike] frame the ending of E5 as abuse + attempted murder, as Claudia seethes , is ‘done enduring?’ and just before she creates her own murder plan:
Or did you kill him, like you did Antoinette, and how you tried to do with Louis?
I have to wonder why, over a year from airing, blogs and reviews claiming to be dedicated to the series rehash the most juvenile questions that the episodes themselves directly answer? How can S2 spec or complex discussion occur, if callout PSAs shutting down any sort of canon-compliant discussion is the way to go? If people constantly exhibit their refusal to meet the show where its at and engage the material for what it is, where can we go from here? AMC IWTV is very didactic. ‘The absence of metaphor is striking’. Yet for all the waxing about loving ‘fucked-up gothic romance’, there is a willful ignorance in understanding where & what makes the situation fucked up to begin with. Or even an interest in understanding the basics of the setting!

The Sun Says Hello - Omori fanfic - Part 1
Part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kel walked past Sunny’s house everyday. He’s been doing it for the past 4 years.
Was it silly? Hopeful wishing? Yes.
But he didn’t have to give up hope. Hope that Sunny might just.. peak his head out.. even for just for a moment..
But it never happened.
Every day.
Every morning, every afternoon, every night.
When it rained, when it snowed, when the sun was beating down.
Kel never gave up hope, even when he knew all hope should be lost.
“You know that house down the street?” Whispered a group of kids, Kel’s classmates. “I hear the kid who lives there is actually a ghost! And every night he leaves the house to stall around. And he eats cats! And rats!”
Kel’s nose scrunched up at the gossiping kids. The story sounded like it was pulled straight from To Kill A Mockingbird. Kel would’ve laughed at how ridiculous it was if it he didn’t have any sense of empathy.
“Hey!” Kel exclaimed. “His name is Sunny! And he’s not some creepy ghost!”
The kids jumped in surprise. “You know him, Kel?”
“Yes! Well.. I did. When we were kids!”
The kids raised their eyebrows. “I heard he killed his sister!”
Kel stood up quickly. “You shut your mouth! Mari.. she..! THAT’S NOT WHAT HAPPENED!”
And Kel ran off with tears in his eyes. He ran to Sunny’s house and leaned against the forever closed door and quietly prayed that Sunny would open it. Of course, the moon never came out to comfort the sun.
That was 2 years ago, when Kel was 14.
Kel found his reaction to have been overdramatic now that he’s older. He knew he should’ve just corrected them and told them it’s not cool to gossip. But Sunny was his friend. How could he have not defended him? Especially since Sunny was so.. traumatized. Lonely..
Kel was making his usual trip around Sunny’s house, but he felt his heart drop down to his stomach.
A For Sale sign sitting at the front lawn.
Sunny.. is moving? No, he couldn’t be.. not when he’s been waiting for so long for Sunny to come outside.
Kel saw Sunny’s mom on the driveway and he ran over to her. “Mrs. Sunny’s Mom!” he exclaimed.
She turned and smiled. “Oh, Kel! It’s so good to see you!” She pinched his cheek. “You’ve grown up so much!”
“Oh, haha.. yes, it’s good to see you too.. um.. is it.. are you.. are you moving?!”
She looked at Kel in surprise and she smiled sadly. “Yes. I.. I think moving will do me.. Sunny.. some good. Start new! Get away from this house..”
Kel clenched his fists and looked down, doing everything in his power to avoid hyperventilating.
“Can.. can you maybe get him to come outside? So we can.. hang out?”
She gave him a sympathetic look and sighed. “I can try. But Sunny.. he just stays in his room all the time, asleep. He’s usually unresponsive. He most likely won’t listen to me if I ask him to.”
Kel looked down to hide his disappointment.
“But..” she said. “I can perhaps try to encourage him. Here.” She pulled out her flip phone and dialed in a number. She put it to her ear and began to leave a message.
“Kel saw our for sale sign and came by,” she said, winking at Kel who quickly straightened up. “He wants to spend time with you. I think it’ll do you some good to say goodbye to everyone.”
She hung up and turned to Kel.
“You’ll just have to wait and see. I’m not even sure if Sunny even checks my voicemails, ha!”
“Do you.. ever actually talk to him..? Or do you just leave voicemails?”
Her eyes widened and she quickly looked away, almost guilty. “Kel, I don’t think that’s really any of your business, sweetie..” She paused and inhaled, forcing a smile.
“I do hope Sunny comes out and you two can hang out. Like the good old days!” She squeezed his shoulder and got in her car and drove off.
Kel watched as her car left and he turned to look up at the second story window. The window that belonged to Sunny’s room.
Just behind those curtains was his best friend. In his room, alone, like he’s been for 4 years.. Kel’s heart hurt at just the idea. What was Sunny doing up there all the time, all alone?
Kel didn’t dare let his head drift off to the paranoid thoughts. He couldn’t think the worse! Letting his thoughts drift to ideas like that would only make him feel even more miserable and guilty.
Don’t worry, Sunny.. he thought, clenching his fists. I’ll keep waiting for you to come outside.. and when you do.. I’ll make your last days here ones to remember!

Road to 4☆TOWN
part 11 | part 12 | part 13 | part 14 | part 15 | part 16
“Thanks for lunch, babe.” Janelle said sweetly. “When are you gonna let me pay you back?” She winked.
Robaire chuckled. “Maybe next time we go out, I’ll let you get dessert.”
“Well, I could do that,” Janelle scooted closer and wrapped her arms around him, “or I could pay you back another way.”
“I mean, I could get my old—…” Robaire paused as he realized what she meant. “Oh. Ahhh—” His phone rang, saving him from the awkwardness. “Oh, I gotta take this. It’s probably important.” He picked up. “Hey, girl, hey.”
Janelle furrowed her brow. “Girl…?”
“Hey, Baby Bear.” Selina greeted him. “So I know it’s kinda short notice, but would you wanna come over and watch a movie tonight? It’s been a while since you’ve come over and Jesse won’t let me out of his sight cuz he’s a little…clingy.”
“It’s not clingy if I’m not following you into the bathroom.” Jesse narrowed his eyes from across the room.
“That sounds nice, Lina, but—”
“Who are you talking to, babe?” Janelle said loudly.
Selina paused. “Are you…with a girl right now?”
“Yeah, I don’t know if J—…if your boyfriend told you, but I started seeing this girl, Janelle. I met her on tour.” Robaire grinned at Janelle. “We kinda already had plans for tonight.”
“Janelle? Why don’t you—” Selina looked over her shoulder when she noticed Jesse frantically shaking his head. “Oh, ummmm…so I guess we’ll take a raincheck then.”
“Yeah, for sure. I’ll call you tomorrow.” Robaire nodded.
“Babe~” Janelle whined, tugging at his shirt a bit. “Pay attention to me now.”
“Ooh, it sounds like you picked a good one.” Selina raised an eyebrow.
“Shut up.” Robaire tried not to laugh. “She’s really sweet. I have to introduce you sometime.”
“I’ll look forward to it.” Selina said. “I’ll let you go now. Somebody’s tugging at my shirt and it’s not the two year old.” She glared at Jesse.
“That’s because he’s too small to reach your shirt.” Jesse rolled his eyes. “Also he’s preoccupied with those strawberries, but whatever. Hang up, I wanna talk to you.”
“And you wanted to poke fun at my girlfriend?” Robaire laughed at Jesse’s childishness.
“UGH, whatever.” Selina shook her head. “I’ll talk to you later.”
“Kay, have fun with the boys. Byeee.” Robaire hung up. “Sorry about that. I’m all yours now.”
“So who was that on the phone?” Janelle asked skeptically. “Was it your sister that you told me about?”
“No, my sister, Christine, is married.” Robaire reminded her. “That was my good friend, Selina. She wanted to hang out, but I told her I was with you so no biggie.”
“Selina…was she the one with that really bad overbite?” Janelle smirked a bit. “I think it’s really sweet that you stayed friends with her regardless.”
“Overbite?” Robaire looked at her in confusion. “OH, you must be thinking of my classmate from my highschool yearbook, Cecile Robinson. She got that fixed, by the way.” He shook his head. “Selina’s the one from that photo you asked about last time you were at my house. Y’know, the one we took on the beach last summer?”
“Oh, right. That Selina.” Janelle remembered. “The one with those gross stretch marks on her stomach. And the perfect everything else…” She muttered the last bit.
“Well, she does have a kid so the stretch marks are—” Robaire froze when he processed the rest of her statement. “Wait a second, are you jealous?”
“How can I not be?” Janelle batted her eyelashes sweetly. “You guys sound so close. Besides, I know I can trust you around her, but how do I know she won’t make a move on you? They say you can never trust a woman with a body like that.”
“Selina’s not like that. She’s, like, super duper taken. And very loyal.” Robaire assured her. “Plus, I know her boyfriend. They’re practically married, it’s all good. You have nothing to worry about.”
Janelle was quiet for a moment. She detangled herself from him and scooted away. “I mean, it’s fine really. I was gonna invite you over to my place tonight, but if you’d rather be with your friend—”
“No, wait, Janelle, I told her I was hanging out with you tonight.” Robaire grabbed her hand, but she wouldn’t look at him. “She’s just a close friend, nothing more. I swear.”
“I believe you, but…” Janelle bit her lip as she trailed off.
Robaire sighed. “If it really makes you uncomfortable, I’ll try and distance myself a little. I mean I’m still gonna see her, but just maybe not as often as before. Is…is that okay?”
“Well, I guess it’s a start.” Janelle finally looked at him. “I think it’s really cute that you’re trying though.” She smiled before kissing him.
Robaire gave her a lovesick grin. “So about your place tonight—”
“Oh, I just remembered my dishwasher is broken. The whole kitchen is flooded, it’s so embarrassing. The repair guy won’t be there until tomorrow.” She sighed. “How about a movie instead? We could get cheap tickets to a really empty one and sit in the back.”
“I like the way you think.” Robaire agreed before kissing her again.
———
“Okay, babe, what did you—” Selina froze when she noticed the look on Jesse’s face. “Jesse? Are you good?” She looked him up and down. “You’re making a face that usually means you either want me to put Marcel down for an early nap or you want me to get the prune juice.”
“It’s neither.” Jesse said quietly. “It’s about that Janelle girl. You kinda sounded like you were about to let him bring her over here.”
“Yeah, I was.” Selina shrugged. “I just wanted to get him over here, I kinda miss him.”
“About that.” Jesse averted eye contact. “I don’t like her. I mean, I don’t really know her, it’s not like we’ve ever spoken, but she just gives off bad vibes.”
“Are you telling me this because you’re worried about Robaire?” Selina crossed her arms. “Because he’s an adult, he can make his own decisions. Besides, if you’re really concerned, you can talk to him yourself.”
“No, it’s not that. Well, it kinda is, but I can’t talk to him until I have more than “bad vibes” as evidence.” Jesse shook his head. “My point was that I don’t really trust her with this secret. If it hadn’t been for that legal gag the label put on Beckett, we’d probably already be screwed already, but they can’t really do that to random girls we don’t like.”
Selina was quiet for a moment. “I guess that’s a fair point. We’re doing so well keeping this in our inner circle, we can’t just go trusting our best friend’s new girlfriend right off the bat.” She sighed. “I wanted to trust his judgement, but if you think we shouldn’t, then we won’t.”
“Thanks, Selina.” Jesse said with a bit of relief. “I just don’t think he’s thinking with his brain right now.”
A moment of silence passed between them.
“Mommy, I need more mawbewies.” Marcel called from the other room.
“What’s with this kid and strawberries lately?” Selina rolled her eyes as she opened the fridge. “It’s all he ever wants anymore.”
“You should just be glad he’s not eating crackers anymore.” Jesse shuddered. “I don’t think our couch will ever truly be clean again.”

Bruno Definitely Has Friends
Guess who got inspirations like two effing hours before the deadline of @wdtajn! This brat!
I am once again forcing you to learn about my niche taste in musicals. This song, “I Have Friends”, is from Crazy Ex Girlfriend, probably one of the funniest and smartest musical dramedies I’ve ever seen. A lot of the songs are up on Youtube, go check it out!
Here’s the song this story is based off of:
youtube
Dinner at the Madrigal Casita means 14-year-old Bruno hopes his mother does not ask any questions regarding how his day went, or how his social life is going, or anything involving him, honestly.
Julieta prattles on about her grades in class, how she’s the top of her class, and how the other girls want her to bake cakes for their birthdays. Bruno glances at Pepa a few times, hoping to feel a sense of connection, but his sister simply continues reading her novel, ignoring everything.
“And what about you, Bruno?” Bruno nearly drops his fork when he hears his name. He nervously looks up.
“What?”
“How is school going?” Alma asks.
“Fine.”
“Have you made any new friends?”
Bruno hesitates. He could be honest and say no one has bothered to even acknowledge him at all this semester, and get lectured for it, or…
“Yes! I have friends! I definitely have friends!” he says. “No one can say I don’t have friends! They’re all coming over to a lil’ hangout session this Saturday.” He hopes his mother does not hear Pepa’s scoff, or notice Julieta raising an eyebrow.
Alma raises an eyebrow. “Really? I’ve never seen them come over. Who are they?”
Bruno racks his head for people that come to mind.
“Friends, friends, friendly friends, time to find some friends…” he mumbles/sings to himself…
“There’s Félix! Agustín! Consuela, she’s super into trompo and soccer!” Pepa snickers to herself behind her novel. Julieta shakes her head in shame.
“There’s a girl with a moustache, a boy with a port wine stain, and the janitor who lives in a donkey cart behind the school,” Bruno finishes.
Alma nods, disturbed by Bruno’s taste in friends. “Very well. I hope you… kids have fun.”
As Alma begins to talk to Pepa, Bruno drops his head on the table, relieved. He’s so tired from the interaction, he doesn’t even feel the roll of bread Julieta discreetly throws at him. Now all he has to do is find a way to bribe all six people to come to his house tomorrow.
*
“Bruno, one of these days you need to come out and socialize with the townsfolk,” Julieta advises. “You’re never going to find friends if you don’t.”
50-year-old Bruno buries himself deeper into his hammock. “I’m fine with that, I have all the friends I need.”
“Family members don’t count. Neither do your rats.”
Bruno swings out of the hammock and confronts his sister. “I have friends! I definitely have friends! Objectively, I can say that I have all the friends! Human friends at that! They’re coming over to my house tomorrow night!”
“Oh yeah? Like who?”
Bruno snaps his fingers in thought. “Friends, friends, friendly friends, time to get some friends…” he mumbles/sings to himself. Julieta watches him apprehensively.
Bruno quickly resorts to all the people he “interacted” with yesterday. “There’s Matias, Vincent, Señora Hernandez, she really likes to raise the roof. The lady who trampled me with her wheelbarrow, Agustín’s friend from the music shop, and the grocery clerk with half an eyelid!”
Julieta narrows her eyes suspiciously. Bruno hides his shaking hands under his ruana, smiling strained.
Finally, she sighs and walks away. “OK then. I hope you guys have fun.”
The minute she’s gone Bruno pumps his arms in the air, singing and dancing to himself. He doesn’t even acknowledge the cheese Julieta throws at him. “Yes! I have friends, I definitely have friends! Friends, friends, friendly friends, I have all the friends! Whoo!”
All he has to do is bribe all six people to come over tomorrow night.

DAY 15: "Who did this to you?"
Day 15 of Febuwhump.
@febuwhump
a direct follow on from Day 14 more from Familiar Faces.
Meeting Elijah other brother-in-law.
---
Sean loves the kid, Ellis was as much his little brother as Maria’s as well as the closest thing to a son he would have, he was never going to remarry, she had been the only one for him since he had met her.
When she had left him it was really Ellis that had brought him back for the pit he had tried to drink himself into, his family kept them afloat but Elijah made sure he didn’t choke in his sleep, calmed Daria in the night when Sean’s family had left.
In the aftermath of Maria’s death he had lost himself to grief, it wasn’t until months later he had noticed the hands cleaning up after him, the ones caring for his daughter wasn’t an aunt or cousin of his but the little boy who just just lost a sister and mother-figure himself.
He had raised Ellis, and even he had to wonder where he got everything from. He was strange, brilliant, almost terrifyingly smart, and far older than he should be sometimes, but that was half the problem.
Maria had begun teaching Ellis his numbers and letters during her pregnancy, in the aftermath he had forgotten and was only reminded much later when he decided to cut down his drink, when he had come home to find Ellis reading the newspaper to his aunt, when asked Ellis had shrugged confused at the idea it was hard.
“Maria taught me the basics, it was easy to remember after that.” the nearly nine year old had explained.
The pain her name brought almost made him miss it but ‘remember’ wasn’t the word that should have been used; he told himself it was an easy mistake given Maria had been insistent on raising Ellis with Bulgarian first.
But Ellis had never slipped up like that before, and it didn’t explain the penmanship that Sean is pretty sure is beaten into the upperclass’s kids but came naturally to Ellis.
In the end that didn’t matter, he had to keep food on their plates, roof above their head, and money to cover them during Ellis’s illness, Sean had adapted to Ellis little oddities before Maria’s death; he didn't have time to question it now he had one child and a half to manage.
Half because for all the help Ellis was and he was, he managed the house and Daria during his mourning and made it very clear he was going to keep that up even after Sean dragged himself into being there for his daughter, Ellis was still a child with fragile health.
Even if he seemed to forget he was a child at times and actively pushed himself far more than a person his age should let alone one as fragile of health as he was.
Ellis saw no reason he couldn’t go to the shop himself.
He charmed people to help him carry the groceries back and when Sean had argued against it he started selling his ability to read and write to earn extra on the side, to then buy a cart to do it instead.
Realising he couldn’t win against the stubborn headstrong boy he had spread the word to his cousins to watch out for him, the best part of a large family at least, Ellis’s own charm had limits and the tiny boy with a crane could prove to be too much of an opportunity for some to resist.
It was unfortunate that Ellis, as brilliant as he was, seemed to believe he needed to do everything on his own and had a habit of taking concern and care over his health as a refusal to help or lack of belief that he could do anything and had to act on his own instead.
So really after weeks of Ellis’s concern over Aleksandra’s daughter and suspicion over Antonio he should have expected to find little Minnie at his table one day on his return.
The growing bruise on his sharp thin cheek wasn’t expected.
Or acceptable.
"Who did this to you?" he asked as he rushed across their small kitchen to check him, looking him over for any other marks.
The boy feels terrifyingly small to him as he traces the bruise.
Elijah smiles and tries to distract him but Sean knows his little brother to much for that
“Who, Elijah Todorov, tell me?” He had an idea with Minnie quietly sitting beside his own Ria, it was bad enough the rumours of Antonio’s violence if he had proof he was taking his cousins to teach him a lesson, damn the tensions if he had laid a hand on Elijah, Sean was going to kill him himself.
Sean had spent too many days listening to Elijah struggling to breath during his illnesses, seeing his persistence to walk after days too weak to get from the bed, bruising was bad enough when it was caused by his own stubbornness to accept his limits, another person causing it wasn’t acceptable.
Using his proper full name at least caused Elijah to drop the fake smile and straighten.
“He won’t do it again.” was what he got.
“Papa fell.” Minnie answered instead.
He looked between them suddenly, noting the small bag by her chair and Elijah’s crane sitting in a bucket of water by the door, the handle glistening in a way that showed both ends had needed a wash.
He didn’t question how Elijah had brought the bucket in, instead turning to his daughter, he had questions it was better they weren’t listening to.
“Ria, why don’t you go show Minnie your toys, while I talk with Ellis okay?” he told her.
His darling daughter nodded without hesitation and hopped off the chair to pull her cousin with her.
Leaving him alone with Elijah.
“Explain?” he ordered sharply as Elijah tried to look away from him.
“I went to see her, he took my concerns poorly.” Elijah replied.
“And hit you?” he asked, eyeing the bruise that covered his cheek, that wasn’t all he knew but he kept his tongue and he waited for Elijah to nod and continue.
“Then he stumbled and fell down the stairs.” Normally Elijah was a wordsmith, a natural con man one of his less legal cousins had told him with admiration, so Sean took the short answers and lack of description as proof something had shaken the boy.
If he was normal Sean would assume he’d be in tears but he had an idea that if Elijah was normal this wouldn’t have happened, what was he doing going over there alone?
“And your crane?” he glanced towards the bucket.
“It may have gotten some blood on it.” Elijah admitted
“Both ends?”
“I dropped it,”  he was told and Sean spotted the first of Elijah’s tells that he was lying “when I realised he was gone.”
He hadn’t dropped it, somehow his crane became covered in blood another way, he stared at his frail boy, the child he raised and was suddenly aware he wasn’t surprised as the picture came into view.
Elijah believed Antonio had something to do with Aleksandra’s death, that Minerva wasn’t safe, had Elijah gone looking for proof or had the man given to him when he hit him? Sean couldn’t believe the idea that Ellis had the strength to beat him with the crane, Antonio was a large man, three if not four time Elijah, but how many hits would he really need to get him to fall.
Just a hit or two in the right place and let gravity do the rest.
Elijah was easily smart enough to work that out.
He stared at Elijah, taking in the way he was slumped in the chair even as he tried to sit straight, he was exhausted and had clearly pushed his body beyond itself.
That left him with the knowledge that he had underestimated Ellis again.
“The police said they ’d be calling here later.” Ellis admitted suddenly for a moment looking his age and concerned before he covered it all with a breath.
Sean sighed.
“Right, stay here.” he told him. The twelve year old shrugged in a way that asked what else he was going to do.
“Ria” he called his daughter back into the room adding “Minnie” for the other little girl, “watch you uncle he isn’t allowed to move.” When they arrived, both the girls nodded with complete seriousness, Elijah pouted but didn’t argue, when he added “and help him to bed.”
Which proved he had pushed himself too far, Sean let himself feel a small bit of relief that he wouldn’t have to argue and that Ellis would leave this to him as an adult.
He had to get his cousins, they would know what he needed to deal with the officers, and how he’d be able to keep Minnie.
He had two little girls and Ellis now.
Well at least they could help him manage Ellis.

Woooaaaah, okay. I just finished so assorted, unorganized Earthspark thoughts under the cut. Part 1
The things regarding the existence of the triplets that made me uncomfortable were not adressed, as expected. Still it's been long enought that I could make peace with it and was able to watch the show without wanting to throw up.
They could have done a better job of balancing the cast now that it's so crowded BUT making Twitch a big sister paired wonderfully with picking up the epiphany she had on episode 10. She's was wondeful on this batch. Love the contrast with ep 3 where she doesn't really care about Bee's training to ep 14 where she's like "we have to do drills people!!!!"
Truly the triplets are great. The problem is that this all highlights how much I don't actually care about Mo and Robby?? Like ofc the Cybertronians are gonna seem far more interesting, but also they throw me off. They kinda get the worst dialogue and then there's this thing with Mo where it feels like she acts too mature for her age some times and other too generic cute kid (at least I'm back at the English dub, because in Spanish this is worse) and it both feels pretty fake and breaks my immersion and reminds me this is not an appropiate situation for her.
Also so many moments that are too corny for me.
But I mean, this is a show for 8 year olds, Barbi, what do you expect?? (I do think Robby and Mo could have better dialogue, but otherwise it's the genre and audience. I can't complain at the steak house's poor seafood selection).
Hashtag is super fun and also her powers are extremely OP dasfdhgkjash what, how does that work? Why can she control so many things? I love the satellite ponytail. I need a IDW1-esque Thundercraker to show up and be her Cybertronian mentor.
Hashtag simping over Elita, like, same.
OMG Jawbreaker is precious!!! I think it's wonderful to have him voluntarily wait on choosing an alt mode, goes against what one would expect and showcases the diversity of the Cybertronian experience. Really, I love how all the terrans have very different relationships with how they choose their alt.
Speaking of NIGHTSHADE!!! TARANTULAS OMG OMG OMG OMG
Ok, so he isn't Mandroid, he doesn't get an ex BUT HE GETS A CHILD. This is even better, honestly. Everything about him is perfect. He's very unlike BW Tarantulas, but he is similar to IDW1 Tarantulas who was like BW. It's like a scale with IDW1 in the middle
Obsessed with the subtext of and older queer person bonding with a young queer, with the background of Nightshade having been raised in a different context with a supportive family. It's lovely. Tarantulas inmediately adopting Nighshade, but he's so lonely and doesn't know how to do relationships quite right. I love heeeee!!!!
I know what Roche meant about his mush now. Loved seeing that thing move.
Sadly I don't think he's gonna be eating people, he too hinged u.u But oh well, I liked this toned down version, especially because we needed more good Cons that just want to live. Really, he bothered trying to erase the Malto's memories when he could have just killed them.
Instead of a hologram, he should do like IDW1 and perfect furry technology. I believe in you.
Anyway, Nightshade is great duasfgda they taking their alt mode from a book series is like when peorple choose to have their blorbo's name. God, they're such a dramatic nerd I loooooove them.
The texture in that book was so good I could smell it
What was episode 14???? I was thinking that maybe it would fuel a new Bee/Breakdown ship but oh my god???? I was not expecting this to be so romantic, like what the fuck. They upped the cinematography to showcase that Bee and Breakdown are in love. They've always been in love. They had the interfaction romance of a lifetime, megop who?
Really, it was the best episode. Except for the fact that Taratulas exists. But the ending??? Omg.
WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT IS GHOST DOING
everything with that bear was so creepy, my eyes were glued omg
The GHOST lady reminds me of Dr. Emilia from Kipo
This is getting too long, I'm gonna do a part 2

Note
okay first off good luck with ur exam you got this! the clato gods are WITH YOU.
MAINLY BECAUSE OF THAT AMAZING CHAPTER MY GOOOODDDDDDDDDDD....
the greatest minds of my generation were lost to miscommunication trope </3 rest in peace glim glam you should've listened to finnick for once omfg... (i am clinically delusional so i believe that finnick and glimmer did some telepathy and they're overplaying the miscommunication as to not endanger cato and clove mainly because of catos sister) (i am smarter than everyone! this is my delusion! and i will own it!!!)
SPEAKING OF GLIM GLAM... im reaching into your fanfic and picking her out of there and putting her into my pocket where no one will touch or see her ever again </3 none of you deserve her wtf....... let her be a mother to beautiful kids with blonde hair and green eyes omfg!!!
ALSO currently my new canon is: peeta, a mastermind, watching marvel soften up the crowd to the loss of victor babies: IF IT WEREN'T FOR THE BABY!!! i have no idea if this was intentional but i love how they tie each other perfectly. they are my little snookums.
the interviews were SO heartbreaking and i know we've talked about the lore of the games of marvel&glimmer before BUT I NEVER EXPECTED THIS... WHAT DA HELLLLLL. finnick winning the games at 14, glimmer at 15.... oh they're sick oh they are twisted!!!!!! clove reminiscing about her mother, her not being able to see enobaria to say goodbye, can you kill me any more????? can you???? TURNS OUT YOU COULD. WHAT DA HELLLLLL WAS THE LAST SECTION OF THEM REALIZING THEY DONT WANT TO BE VICTORS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
you have officially killed me. i am dead. i didn't survive the great war. my ass is not burned for the better. it's officially over. (it hasn't even begun)
Oh I was WAITING For you to get ahold of this one bestie, I thought some things might float your boat so to speak. Also thank you for your confidence in me because I was SLAUGHTERED by Peds today that exam WAS the Hunger Games i'm not even joking like i was one of the mf tributes fighting the kids in that exam.
You know...you can believe that they're telepaths! Or you can believe that Glimmer has been betrayed enough times (especially by men) that she was just like oh another one nothing new! They're all the same in the end!! And her and Finnick (and Johanna) are going into this at odds! Woo!
well SPEAKING OF SPEAKING of GLIM GLAM... I would also like to protect her in a little pocket and keep her all safe. She deserves to be safe and at peace and :) She has let go of that dream of her blonde green eyed babies, she has long since given up on that because it would never have been safe for them!! Did she DESERVE to get to live her life in peace as a happy little lady? Yes. Is that what she got? Unfortunately no, she'll be going into the arena tomorrow!! She can have her sweet lil cute babies in her dreams and at least know they will never go into the games and face the repeated abuse that she has!!
Listen. When I say everything is chess not checkers in this. It is. I have a long post about it, but I have a lot of opinions on the irony of the games and the way the capitol react to Peeta Mellark and his baby bomb. And Marvel isn't a mastermind but he can read a mf room, he's charismatic, and he can also pick up on damn you know what these people would have eaten UP? Pitting our kids against each other! Haha! Your loss right? you dont get to watch our kids that we would raise and love get kill each other! 100% YOUR loss Capitol :). While Peeta was going to say it anyway... they're really hitting us with the haha! what a terrible loss! I know y'all are so sad about theoretical kids!!! The real ones are uh!!! not important right now!! Remember that!! Theoretical = good, pure, must be protected. 12-18 year olds? Sacrifice :)
the interviews were SO heartbreaking and i know we've talked about the lore of the games of marvel&glimmer before BUT I NEVER EXPECTED THIS... WHAT DA HELLLLLL WAS THE LAST SECTION OF THEM REALIZING THEY DONT WANT TO BE VICTORS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
.....Surprise! It got worst! 15 year old Glimmer immediately thrust into a life of abuse and sex trafficking :) She's been suffering 7 long years, her and Finnick are trauma bonded besties atp!
Clove misses her mom and doesn't say it ever but losing her mother at 3 absolutely fucked her up in unimaginable ways that she does not yet know and will not know for many years!! Theres a lot of trauma to unpack! And now once again losing the like..adult woman figure in her life without a goodbye! No hard feelings are going to be stirred up no ma'am!
And then!
The rooftop!! Is my favorite scene in the whole fic thus far. Glimmer's melancholia. Clove's life of loss! It isn't that they don't want to be victors they don't mind being victors! They don't want to be victors in a world without each other! They don't want to be victors in a world where they are alone and have lost the people they care about, the people they love! They're not the blood thirsty violent careers they once were! Now they are adults who have faced life and love and things after the games!! Their priorities have shifted! What is the point of victory if you just face abuse and lonliness!! Meaning of life and all that!! IF they're going out they are going out together!
Bestie I was about to say. I do not know how to tell you this. But you are suffering..and the war has not yet begun. Hell, who knows who will even be alive to see the START of the war (I know :) ) We WILL be going back to that bloodshed crimson clover sweet dream is OVER :)
thank you bestie i am GLAD you are not dissapointed <3 even if you are... sad <3

Gilbert Witch
What if... after the final battle with the dark lord Voldrmort , Harriel Lilian Potter died but Lord Death allow her to be reborn in a new world simlier to her old one for returning his Hallow to him. She is reborn as Ariela Gilbert.
Before Grayson Gilbert ever meet Miranda Sommers he was enganged to another woman by the name Katelyn olsen but she died in childbirth which devested Grayson at the lost of the woman he love but at the same time happy at the birth of their daughter Ariela Gilbert his beautiful little girl. She was born with her old magic as well as wiccan magic of her new world she inherited from her late mother Katelyn.
Grayson move on from the death of his fiancee and meet Miranda Sommer who help him raise his daughter Ariela Gilbert and evenutally fell in love with one another. And after dating for three years they got married and Ariela was their flower girl in their wedding.
           5 months after they got married, Grayson's younger brother John Gilbert got a girl pregnant and their both to young to care for a child they haven't even graduate High School yet so both Grayson and Miranda decided to adopt the girl for John and pass her off as their daughter not even Ariela knowns that Elena isn't her younger half sister but her younger cousin. Miranda cares for Elena but not as she dose Ariela who is the beloved daughter of her husband while Elena is just her neice who they chosen to adopt to the family.
Even as a baby Elena wanted their parents whole attention to herself twenty-four hours a day, and seven days a week. But it never work that much especially Ariela is Grayson own flesh and blood daughter unlike Elena who is their neice who they adopted as their daughter. And it got worse when Elena was two years old while Ariela was 5 years old when their younger brother Jeremy Gilbert was born which their parents attention are in their baby brother. Ariela made sure to watch Elena very carefully when their alone with their baby brother since who knows what she'll do to Jeremy just to get our parents whole attention.
Which made Ariela not like her even the baby Jeremy Gilbert didn't like her that when ever Elena aproach him he start crying until he's away from her. That their mother miranda Sommers-Gilbert didn't mine since she's afraid what Elena would do to her only son if she's left alone with her do to her jealousy and she would never stand if she ever try to do anything to Jeremy or Ariela for that matter while she didn't give birth to Ariela herself that dosen't mean that she's isn't my daughter I raised her before she even gain conscious.
-------
The next 14 years Elena Gilbert who is now 16 trying to get all their parents attention which never work and she has always been jealous to her 19 years old  sister Ariela Gilbert who was miss perfect before graduating Mystic falls high school where she has always been compare to her sister Ariela whatever she do could never match what Ariela did no matter what it's like she's never good enough. Her younger brother Jeremy dosen't even talk to her or be seen with her not that they were ever close as kids he's closer to Ariela than herself.
Tumblr media
(Imagin her hair longer)
Even my beauty could never compare to Ariela.....Ariela.....Ariela.
It's always about her, so during family night I snack out to go to a party my parents didn't allow me to go because it was family night so I snack out. But when I got in a fight with my boyfriend Matt Donovan that lead to their break up and she's to drunk to go home so she called her parents who didn't even know she wasn't at home they were lecture her when they end up driving over the bridage that Elena was the only one who survive while their parents died, which Jeremy unconsciously blaming Elena for their parents death if she never snack out to go at that party she wouldn't have gotten drunk and call their parents to pick her up and their parents would still be alive no thanks to her.
Jenna Sommers who is 25 years old knows she can't handel both Elena and Jeremy in one roof so Ariela took custody of her younger brother Jeremy since she would likely kill Elena if she annoy her so she took Jeremy away from Mystic falls to new Orleans to have new start, beging away from Mystic falls help Jeremy alot  move on their parents death  and away from everything that remained them of their parents.
After their parents funerals both Ariela and Jeremy left Mystic Falls without any backward glance and never went back. Ariela is finish Collage in New Orleans since skip a year grade she's already on her last year. While they were their Jeremy meet untrained witch by the name Davina Claire.
The reason both Ariela and Jeremy Gilbert return to Mystic fall was during the funural of their Aunt Jenna and they both wouldn't even know about her death if sheriff Liz Forbes hasn't called and inform them of Jenna's death it seem every person Elena is close to end up dying one by one. So after the funeral of their Aunt they left Mystic fall again that they now believe the town itself is curse. By then Ariela already gradute collage and with Harvest ritual nearing and Davina mother want her as one if the harvest witch so Ariela, Jeremy and Davina quickly left New Orlean and putting a powerful cloaking spell that prevent anyone from finding them along with a protection spell just incase.
-------
Elijah Mikaelson remove the daggers from his siblings chest with the help of Damon Salvatore since he dosen't believe that his brother Klaus would keep his word so he remove the dagger. While the youngest Mikaelson brother, Kol Mikaelson was quite angry of beging put in a coffin after finding out from the Witches of New Orlean that he has a mate somewhere who wish to search so it was no suprise after he was catch up to the new century he quickly left town with no goodbye or saying anything to his brothers.
And search for the soulmate he was told about he was hoping that she is alive in this era instead her beging dead already he had one of his witches descendants put a powerful cloaking and protection spell on himself that prevent anyone from finding him no matter what.
Tumblr media
5 moths for Kol searching every country, City, and town he could find until he end up in Boston where he meet the newly turn 21 years old Ariela Gilbert who is doing her undergraduate in Harvard University when he finally found his destin mate the one he was told about in 1914 New Orlean and he was about to begin his search for her before his bastard half brother Klaus put him in a coffin for 100 years. So it was no suprise for anyone that Kol Left without any backward glace to his so call siblings who never cared or loved him not even when they were humans he was always alone, all he ever wanted was to be loved and be part of the family and even then his siblings can't grant him that.
The momoment both Ariela Gilbert and Kol Mikaelson meet it was like love at first site and it was like some unknown force was unknowingly pushing them together. It was the first time for both of them to truely fall in love with each other even Ariela who never fell in love in her previous life as Harriel Lilian Potter who never fell in loved since she died before she could get the chance to marry at all.
Tumblr media
        16 years old Jeremy Gilbert is now dating Davina Claire along with the 21 years old Ariela Gilbert who began dating Kol Mikaelson who Ariela manged to give back his magic with the price of not beging a vampire but he retain his vampiric sense and strength, which Kol didn't mind since he has his magic back something he thought he will never have again and it's not like he really lose something since he still has his vampiric strength and speed.
We heard rumor that one Elena's boy toys is now dead atless that was what they heard during the Elena's graduation it seem one by one the people that she surround herself with are slowly dying. But that wasn't the only rumor they heard that from other witches they heard that Klaus the original Hybrid got some werewolf pregnant with his daughter now the witches of New orleans all want Klaus miracle baby dead. By then the rest kol's siblings are now living in New Orlean. And their Esther Mikaelson want the baby dead to hide the fact that she made a deal with her older sister Dahlia Mikaelson
Tumblr media
In order to have children she sold her first born and every firstborn from her line so one way or another Dahlia would come for Klaus's firstborn child.
      The werewolf that Klaus got knock up, Hayley Marshall gaved birth to twins instead of the one baby they were expecting they named them Hope Andrea and Faith Clary Mikaelson. They end up meeting their long lost sister Freya Mikaelson who sleep every century only waking up once a year since her life was connected to her Aunt who taught her magic growing up. Even if Freya dislike her aunt. They manged to kill their aunt by using the ritual Freya has been making for many many years in order to free herself from Dahila.
But the Mikaelson family seem to favor Hope Andrea Mikaelson who is the so call powerful firstborn witch so Faith is ignored by the rest of their family the only one who seem to care about Faith is Marcel Gerald who is her brother figure but he can't always be by her side to protect her from her family's abuse.
But something happen to the Mikaelson when the twins Hope and Faith were 2 years old they were poison by something that Freya put her siblings and herself to sleep until Hayley find the cure. While that was happen Marcel was searching for Kol since he is the only one who would most likely treat Faith right unlike the rest of his family.
5 years later...
Hayley Marshall found all the ingredient for the cure and freya was waken up by Hayley in order to make the cure waking all the rest of her siblings. Things haven't change at all the Mikaelson siblings still ignore and belittle Faith even more than they did when she was just a baby, when they found out she was a simple witch unlike  Hope who is a Tribrid, luckly Marcel finally located Kol Mikaelson after 5 years search he finally found him but Kol Mikaelson is now married
Tumblr media
To a powerful witch by the name of Ariela Gilbert-Mikaelson who is 26 years old by then Kol has his magic back and no longer a vampire he once was I know for a fact he would never belittle his neice unlike all his siblings in favor of Hope Mikaelson the so call Miracle baby they been married for two years now.
Kol Mikaelson and his wife Ariela has chosen to adopt their neice as their first child since Kol's siblings has failed to show her love like a child should and Marcel was right that Kol would love his neice and would treat her like his own daughter even his wife already adore Faith then again who could ever hate Faith Clary Mikaelson
Tumblr media
Well except for her old family that is. Even Kol's brother In Law Jeremy Gilbert who is 21 years old adore faith along with his wife Davina Claire who is a New Orlean witch who was suppose to be one of the original Harvest witch instead of Alena who took her spot in ritual when she suddely disappear unexpectedly.
             Hope Mikaelson is not more special than her younger twin sister Faith just because she was born a Tribrid and she most certainly not more powerful than Faith for being a Tribrid since Faith's power is stronger thsn Hope to begin with.
The Mikaelson family didn't even know that Faith is long gone until 2 years later when they need her to saved Hope who was possesed by the Hallow that in order to save Hope from Inadu aka the Hallow the mikaelson family split it's conscious to equal parts and seal them inside themself before each of them part ways in order to save Hope breaking their so call "perfect" family they have. By then Faith is already 7 years old and Kol mikaelson has recently have children of his own, his wife Ariela gaved birth to twins and they are Henrik James and Anastasia Lilian Gilbert-Mikaelson.
Faith loves her new siblings since even though her Aunt & Uncle has their own children now they still treated her like their own daughter which she was glad about.
Hayley Marshall was think of raising her daughter Hope in Mystic Falls but she knows that that going back their is dangerous for Hope without protection from her Father. That she decided chosen to raised her daughter in a small town in Washington D.C.
--------
By the time Henrik and Anastasia Gilbert-Mikaelson were both 5 years old and Faith Mikaelson was already 12 years old both Ariela Gilbert-Mikaelson and Jeremy Gilbert felt it's time for them to return home beside they wanted their children to have normal school experince which the Twins and Faith along with their 5 years old cousin Grayson Kol Claire-Gilbert would only experince in the only super natural school which is located in Mystic fall so their family move back home to enrol their children to Salvatore Boarding School for the young and gifted.
Beside the Scooby gang has never encounter Kol Mikaelson during the time his siblings were in town and left as soon as he got out of the coffin beside Elena Salvatore would never try to kill Kol that would just make her siblings hate her even more. who blamed her for their parents death and she dosen't want to give them more reason to her by killing Kol, beside this Kol Mikaelson isn't even a Vampire but Witch like their children except for their neice Faith who turn out to the youngest daughter of Klaus Mikaelson who was ignored and belittle by her parents until she end up in the care of Kol and Ariela who love her like their own child.
Faith loves attending Salvatore school for the young and gift she became friends with the only biological son Caroline Forbes and Stefan Salvatore, their son Jason "Jace" Forbes-Salvatore but the momment they first saw each other they unknowingly fallen in love not that they have known at that time. She also befriend the Saltzman twins Lizzie and Josie Saltzman who are 10 years old currently and Caroline Forbes is the Saltzman twins Surrogate Mom since their bio mother died on their parents wedding day and bio mom's coven transfer them to their mom womb.
---------
10 years later....
Henrik James Gilbert Mikaelson
Tumblr media
Anastasia Lilian Gilbert -Mikaelson
Tumblr media
Are now both 15 years old attending boarding school and is one of the most powerful witches their along with their cousin Grayson Kol Claire-Gilbert
Tumblr media
Who is the same age as his cousin and all three of them get along great together, they always has each others back.

By the time the Mikaelson manged to kill the Hallow before they moved back to Mystic fall to enrol Hope in Salvatore Boarding university part of the school to have a normal education a normal child but they never expect to see their brother Kol Mikaelson their or that he no longer a vampire but a witch once more and have children of his own even adopting Klaus youngest daughter Faith who they never thought to be powerful since she's not a Tribrid like Hope but her powers as a witch is far greater than Hope could ever dream. By then Faith no longer see them as family they are simply strangers she lived the first 5 years old her life and she want nothing to them that includes hope.
Hope Mikaelson who is a tribrid couldn't even measure with her two cousin Henrik and Anastasia along with her younger twin sister Faith Mikaelson with how much power they hold as a witch that not even she has. Compare to them her power as a witch is weak for  a first born of the Mikaelson family.

Disappointments - Bakugou Katsuki
Dad!Bakugou x f!Mom!reader ft. Katsumi and Katsuo
Warnings: angst, fluff, cursing, crack, comfort
Summary: Bakugou always wanted a son and was extremely happy when his firstborn was Katsuo. Unfortunately, Katsuo didn’t have a quirk like he expected, but he still loved him nonetheless. Besides, his second born and first daughter, Katsumi did have his quirk! However..things are still kinda rocky
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
“AH!”
You screamed as you dodged a fast attack from your 16 year old daughter. Katsumi was blessed to inherit Bakugou’s quirk and she was truly a master with it already. At least, in your eyes and everyone else’s. To Bakugou, Katsumi wasn’t quite there yet.
You were currently sparring with your daughter as Bakugou was examining her progress. You both were about to meet in the middle with your own attacks when the timer went off, indicating the match was over. You both stopped your quirks and looked to your husband, waiting for his analysis.
Katsumi looked to her dad with a happy and excited face. This is the best she’s ever done! This is sure to impress her father! “Well Dad! How was that?”
“Katsumi…your movements are sloppy.” Katsuki said with a blank face. You stood with a confused face and watched as your daughter’s face fell in disappointment. “You’re hesitating too much and your blasts aren’t strong enough.”
“Well I’m fighting against Mom and I don’t wanna hurt-“
“You’re training and Mom is your sparring partner. You only get better if you do your best when you’re practicing. Clearly, you don’t get that.” Katsuki said, interrupting his daughter. At his words, the 3 of you were at a standstill when suddenly the back door opened and out came your 17 year old son, Katsuo.
“Hey guys! Check it out! I got accepted into the police academy! I’m gonna be a future officer!” Katsuo exclaimed with excitement. Katsuki smiled with a proud look for his son as he walked over and gave him a pat on the back.
“Nice work, Katsuo. I’m proud of you. Even without a quirk you still seem to be surpassing your sister.” Katsuki said with a quick hug, releasing awkward tension in the air.
“Uh..thanks Dad,” Katsuo said as he looked to his younger sister with a sorry look. You walked over to your two boys and smacked Katsuki’s arm as you gave him an angry look. You quickly changed your expression once you faced your son and gave him a hug.
“Congratulations baby, I’m so proud of you.” You said holding him tight.
“Thanks Mom.” He said in reply. You finally pulled off him before looking to Katsumi who had a sad look but still smiled nonetheless as she walked over to her older brother.
“Congrats Katsuo, you’re gonna do great things in the future.” Katsumi said with a quick hug.
“Yeah? Well so will you.” Katsuo said, reassuring his baby sister. You smiled at how close your two kids were. It was something every mother would dream to have. The moment was beautiful until Bakugou intervened with a cough.
“Alright, well. Now that you’re gonna be an officer, we should continue and advance your combat skills. Let’s go, son.” Bakugou said as Katsuo nodded. The two blondes then went inside the house to surely go into the underground level where combat lessons took place in your household, leaving you with your daughter in the backyard.
You looked to the 16 year old girl and saw her look of sadness. “Katsumi…”
“Mom, what am I doing wrong?” She asked you as she took a step on the stairs. You took a seat next to her and rubbed small circles on her back.
“What do you mean Katsumi? You’re not doing anything wrong.” You said in a soft tone.
“Then why is Dad never proud of me for what I do? I’ve improved so much this past week and all he has for me is harsh criticism.” She exclaimed.
“Sweetie, your dad just wants to make sure that when you do become a hero, you can handle yourself.” You said trying to defend your husband and his rash thinking.
“Mom, I’m not trying to be needy, but he’s never proud of me. Ever! Like when you guys found out what schools we were going to? Katsuo gets into UA for general studies and Dad jumps for joy. I get into UA for the hero course and Dad tells me I might not be able to handle it! What’s up with that?!” Your daughter shouted.
“Katsumi, it’s just-“
“It’s just that he hates me! And for what?! I thought he’d be proud to have a kid with his quirk and who’s going to be a hero just like him but instead I’m casted away!” She shouted again.
“Katsumi, your dad doesn’t hate you. He loves you.” You calmly say with compassionate eyes.
“You’re lying!” She screamed at you. At that, Katsuki opened the back door when he heard all the yelling.
“Katsumi! What the hell do you think you’re doing yelling at your mom like that?!” He shouted. Katsumi turned to her dad with an embarrassed look as he reprimanded her. “C’mon, you get into the hero course, you get my quirk, and you get our time to help you train and you’re treating your own mother like that?! Talk about undeserving.”
“Katsuki!” You scolded your husband. Meanwhile, Katsumi’s mouth fell open in shock and as she tried to form words, only muffled struggles could be heard. Eventually growing frustrated she gave out a shout of anger and fury.
“UGH!” She cried out in angst before pushing her father out of the way and running up to her dorm.
“Hey! Watch it you brat! I’m your dad for crying out loud!” Katsuki shouted at her as she ran. You sighed before standing up and walking into the house.
“If you’re her dad then why don’t you start acting like it, Katsuki.” You said as you walked by him and up the stairs to enter your shared bedroom. Katsuki looked at you in confusion before shaking his head and going back to help his son with training.
It was late at night when you finally stepped out of your room. Katsuki had been in and out of it for multiple reasons, mainly to try and speak to you, but when you only gave him brief responses, he eventually just gave up and allowed you time to yourself. You walked out your room and went down the hall to your daughter’s bedroom.
“Katsumi?” You asked softly while knocking, no response. You tried once more only to wake up the other sibling by accident.
“Mom?” Katsuo asked as he yawned and opened his bedroom door. It was clear he was sleeping and you felt sorry for disturbing his peace.
“Hey, Katsuo, I’m sorry for waking you. I just..I just wanted to..”
“To check on Katsumi? Because of the way Dad treats her right?” Katsuo asked. You looked to your son with a hurt expression, saddened at the fact that both your kids were aware of the supposed favoritism.
You walked to Katsuo and kissed his forehead. “Go back to sleep, hun. I’ll take care of it, okay?”
“Why does Dad treat her like that?” He asked.
“….I wish I could tell you. But that’s what I’m going to figure out right now. Go back to bed, okay?” You said as you began walking down the stairs. You heard your son’s door shut as you traveled the house to look for your husband. You eventually stumbled upon him sitting at the island with a cup of tea and book in hand. “Katsuki?”
“Hey, there you are. You finally ready to talk to me?” He asked with the smallest smile, happy that he finally gets to see your face after a few hours. You walked to him with a quick smile and pecked his cheek before taking the seat next to him and putting on a serious face. “What’s up?”
“…Is..is there something wrong with Katsumi?” You asked your husband hesitantly. He looked at you in confusion and pushed his book away.
“No. No, Y/N, why would you ask me that? There’s nothing wrong with Katsumi.” He said softly.
“So then why do you treat her like that?” You asked. He tilted his head as he made a face.
“What do you mean?”
“Katsuki..you treat her like she’s only second best. And considering she’s only 1 of our 2 kids, you treat her like she’s..well, last. The worst.” You explained as Bakugou’s face began to fall and stiffen. “….When she and I were talking outside, she said you didn’t love her.”
“Y/N, I love Katsumi. I love both of our kids equally-“
“So then why don’t you make that known to Katsumi? Ever since her quirk kicked in, you’ve barely even smiled at her. Yet you praise Katsuo like he’s our only child.” You stated.
“Because Katsuo is….he’s Katsuo! He’s a great kid-“
“And so is Katsumi.” You said interrupting him.
“I know she is but Katsuo is just a perfect prodigy. He’s smart, diligent, strong, quick on his feet, and flexible in any situation. He’s going to be an amazing her- ..officer.” He said, going on about how his son was so great. At his last words, it was obvious what your husband really wanted to say.
“Katsuki, I know you better than anyone else in the world. We’ve been together since we were 14 years old and I know that for the longest time you wanted a son so you could raise the next generation ‘Bakugou Katsuki.’” You said, urging a small smile out of Katsuki. “But Katsuo isn’t the one in the hero course like you were. Katsuo isn’t the one training to be a future pro like you did. Katsuo isn’t the one with your quirk. Katsumi is.”
“…But she shouldn’t be. That quirk should’ve gone to our son.” Bakugou said with a stern voice in a gentle manner.
“Katsuki, how could you say that?” You asked with a cracked voice.
“Because Y/N! Katsumi is a great kid and all..but she’s not ready for the power of my quirk.” Your husband exclaimed.
“She’s been training with it for 12 years! You’ve been training her and teaching her how to use her quirk, so does that mean you’re failing as a mentor?” You asked.
“No, it means Katsumi is failing as a mentee! Katsumi is smart and she has all the qualities to make a fine hero! But she’s wild and reckless and lets her emotions get the best of her. Unlike Katsuo! Katsumi’s attitude mixed with the quirk could get her into serious trouble! Trouble she wouldn’t know how to get out of! Unlike Katsuo!” Bakugou ranted until a voice came through.
“So that’s what this is about?” You both looked behind you to find a disappointed Katsumi standing with teary eyes, holding in her sobs and refusing to allow water to pour from her ruby eyes.
“Katsumi..” Bakugou began.
“This isn’t about me at all. This is about you thinking Katsuo should’ve been the one to get your quirk.” She let out with a broken voice.
Katsuki bit his tongue and thought about his words wisely. “Sweetie, it’s not like that, and I’m sorry if it sounds like that’s the case but-“
“But you just think I’m not good enough for your quirk.” Katsumi said with a sad smile as she walked closer. “You think I’m a failure….there’s nothing more that you could teach me Dad.”
“Katsumi, your dad-“
“Mom, I love you and I respect you so much but there’s nothing you can say that could make up for what he’s said and how he’s treated me for the past 12 years.” You daughter said to you kindly. She then turned to Katsuki who’s chest was aching as he held in a nervous breath. “I’m sorry I’m such a disappointment.”
With that, your daughter ran back up to her room and slammed her door shut, leaving you two in guilt and silence. Katsuki got up to try and go after his daughter but your soft and gentle hand stopped him. He looked down to you with sad eyes and watched as you shook your head.
“We should give her some time to cool off…let’s just..we should just get to bed.” You said walking off. Katsuki followed you up the stairs and into the master bedroom but not before looking at his daughter’s door. He released the tense breath he was holding before shutting his own door and climbing into bed, already thinking of ways to make it up to his one and only daughter.
Sadly, when you woke up at such an ungodly hour in the morning, it was because you had work. You wanted to stay and help your daughter with her recent discoveries but you just had to hope your husband would be able to handle it.
With Katsuki now being a pro-hero and a dad, he’s allowed himself to sleep in every now and then but today seemed to be different. Once you were done getting ready and all dressed, Katsuki had awoken from his slumber.
“Suki, hey, what are you doing up?” You asked as you took a seat next to him in the bed and kissed his cheek.
“I was gonna get a head start on a big breakfast for the kids. I really need to make it up to Katsumi. He admitted as he rubbed his face to try and wake himself up.
“Yeah..that..” you said as you looked down. You turned to your husband again and held his hand. “Please..let Katsumi know just how much you love her..because I know you do..and she needs to know that too.”
Katsuki nodded at your words and you gave him a small smile before you both leaned in for a kiss goodbye as you finally walked out of the room, out of the house, and went on your way to work. Back in the house, Katsuki allowed himself to get ready and shower before heading into the kitchen to make Katsumi’s favorite breakfast. Chawanmushi. Oh wait, that’s Katsuo’s favorite breakfast meal. That was when he realized he didn’t know what Katsumi enjoyed for breakfast. The father cursed at himself before banging his head into the refrigerator multiple times. Coming up with an idea, he went to find his son for some help.
“Katsuo..”
“Mmm…”
“Katsuo! Wake up!”
“Five more minutes…”
“Get up!” Katsuki said, tugging at his son’s blanket causing him to flop to the ground.
“Woah!” Katsuo shouted as he fell. He popped his head back up over the bed as he finally opened his E/C eyes. “Ow, Dad! What the heck? It’s Sunday! Why are you waking me up at 6 in the morning?”
“What’s Katsumi’s favorite breakfast meal?” Katsuki asked in a hushed voice, trying not to wake the teenage girl in the room over. At his father’s words, Katsuo finally woke up from his daze and looked at his father in slight and subtle shock.
“Why?” Katsuo asked.
“I need to make up the past 12 years. I’m going to make this the best day Katsumi’s ever had.” Katsuki promised. His son smiled at his Dad’s new point of view and happily stood up.
“She likes tamago kake gohan. With extra seaweed and a side of pickled daikon.” Katsuo said. Katsuki nodded and began to walk away while his son got back in bed. “Oh and Dad?”
“Yeah son?” Katsuki said, turning around at the doorway.
“Don’t let this be the only day you’re nice to Katsumi.” Katsuo said as he rested his head once more. Katsuki once again nodded with a look of disappointment before shutting his son’s door and heading back to the kitchen. On his way there, he couldn’t help but think about how bad of a father he’s been. He had to make it up to his daughter.
“Katsumi…hey, Katsumi. Wake up.”
As the 16 year old girl opened her eyes, that were puffy due to last night’s crying, she took notice of her father hanging over her head. She looked at him with a full stare as he furrowed his brows at the sight of her.
“Have you been crying?” Katsuki asked in a gentle tone. Katsumi sat up and wiped at her eyes before replying.
“No, I did that last night after I found out I was a disappointment.” Katsumi said with venom. It made Katsuki wince but his daughter didn’t react the slightest bit.
“Katsumi..I know a lot of miscommunications happened last night-“
“Miscommunications?!-“
“But I want to make it up to you. Because you’re right. I haven’t been the greatest father to you. So if you’ll let me, I wanna start fixing my mistakes now.” Katsuki said as he stood a little straighter and offered his hand. Katsumi hesitantly took her Dad’s hand and followed his lead as he led her to the kitchen. “And I’m going to start with this.”
Katsumi looked at the kitchen island covered in her favorite breakfast meals and sides. The sight made her smile softly as she spoke aloud. “You..know my favorite breakfast?”
“Well actually-“
“Of course he does, sis. He’s always known.” The two looked to Katsuo who was making his way down the stairs as he walked to the table to sit for breakfast. Katsuki looked at his son with thankful eyes as his son sent him a subtle nod. Katsumi excitedly joined her brother along with Katsuki as the three sat and ate breakfast together. They sat and ate their meals with smiles on their faces as they held lighthearted conversations, a familiar happy vibe filling the air. The last time Katsumi felt that way around her dad was about 12 years ago. “So, I’m gonna be heading out today. I made plans with Ichiro and his family.”
“Really? You’re gonna ditch us to hang out with Deku and his family?” Katsuki asked sarcastically with a raised brow.
“No. I’m gonna hang out with Ichiro, who yes happens to be Uncle Izuku’s son, and leave the two of you. Alone. All day. While Mom’s at work. Leaving you two. Alone. All day.” Katsuo said with a forced smile trying to give his dad a hint that he thankfully got. Katsuki looked off to the side and sucked at his teeth.
“Well kids should still ask instead of just telling their parents what they’re gonna do.” He said and took a bite of rice.
“If I ask are you gonna say no?”
“…No.”
“Alright then.” After that, they three continued to eat while Katsuki silently thanked his son for this opportunity to make up with Katsumi. Finally, when they were done, The two teens left to their rooms to get ready for the day while Bakugou stayed behind to clean up. He planned the entire day in his head with Katsumi, already having booked appointments, reservations, and rented places to go to.
Finally, his son was the first to come down. “Alright Dad, I’m heading out. Ichiro’s here to pick me up.”
“Alright and uh, hey! Katsuo,” Katsuki called, causing his son to turn back at him before leaving. “Thank you..for helping me with Katsumi. I really appreciate it.”
“Of course Dad. Nothing’s better than a happy family,” Katsuo said with a smile before stepping out. Man, that kid was raised right. Katsuki gave himself a little pat on the shoulder for Katsuo’s turnout before waiting for Katsumi to come down to the living room.
Katsuo ran outside to see his best friend and the rest of the Midoriya family in their large car waiting for him. They happily opened the doors for him as they all began their journey to head out to the carnival. They were about half way there when Katsuo spoke up, sparking a new conversation.
“Thanks for letting me join you guys. I know Sundays are usually lazy days where people hang out at home but it’s really cool you guys are heading out.” Katsuo said as he sat next to his friend in the backseat.
“What are you talking about? Sundays are lazy days.” Ichiro said. Katsuo looked at him with a confused face and laugh.
“Yeah…today is Sunday.” Katsuo said.
“Uhh, Katsuo. Today is Saturday,” Deku said upfront as he drove the car. Those words made Katsuo pull out his phone and checked the date. When he saw it was Saturday, he slumped in his seat.
“Is everything okay, hun?” Ochako asked as she turned around.
“No. I left my dad alone with my sister.” Katsuo said as he leaned back with his hands on his face.
“Why’s that a problem?” Ichiro asked.
“He doesn’t know that Saturdays are Katsumi’s ‘leave me alone, it’s at-home spa day’ days.” The blonde said. Izuku laughed upfront at the new information.
“Oh, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Kacchan’s always known how to adapt in tough situations. He never struggles with anything.” Izuku said, complimenting his childhood friend.
“Umm, dear? Don’t you remember when Y/N was treating herself to a spa day because she was on her period and Bakugou tried interfering?” Ochako reminded her husband. Izuku’s eyes popped open wide at the memory of Devil-Y/N and quickly made eye contact with Katsuo through the driver’s mirror.
“Hey, Katsuo. Do you happen to know if it’s that time of month for Katsumi?” Deku asked. Katsuo’s eyes popped before he groaned and smacked his forehead, causing Ochako to follow, and then Deku. Ichiro, not really understanding the situation, looked around at his family and friend and followed their lead with a smack to his own forehead.
“Man, what is that girl doing up there?” Katsuki asked as he sat on the couch. After waiting about for about an hour and a half with no sight of his daughter, Katsuki decided he should go and look for her. He went up to his daughter’s room and opened the door.
“Hey Katsumi what’re you- AHH!” In a panic, Bakugou aimed a small blast at the thing he saw in front of him with no hesitation and shot at it with his quirk.
“Huh?” Katsumi silently asked as she took off a cucumber from her eye and saw the blast coming her way. “AH!” She screamed as she jumped to dodge it. “DAD! What are you doing?!”
Katsuki watched as his daughter peeled off the other green slice on her eye and looked at him in shock and confusion. “Katsumi?”
“No Dad, the president. OF COURSE IT’S ME, KATSUMI.” His daughter said sarcastically. “Why did you blast me?”
“Why do you look like that?” Katsuki asked in a shocked tone as he pointed to the mint green sludge around his daughter’s face.
“It’s a face mask! You never did one with mom before? Geez, what kind of significant other are you?” His daughter asked, standing up.
“Well what’s with the cucumbers?” Her dad asked. Katsumi rolled her eyes before answering.
“They’re to reduce the puffiness around one’s eyes,” she said and gestured to her face. Shaking off the thought of a creepy monster in his daughter’s room, Bakugou got his head back in the game.
“Okay, well I came up here to ask if you wanted to have a Daddy-Daughter day? I made a few plans already. We’ll head out to-“
“Umm, Dad. That sounds really nice but it’s Saturday.” Katsumi said as she sat on her vanity chair to fix her face mask.
“Yeah..I’m aware?” Katsuki said with a raised brow. His daughter looked back at him with the same look.
“And Saturdays are my at-home spa days. Remember?” Katsumi asked with crossed arms.
“O-Oh! Yeah, psshhhh, I knew that. Feh, duh.” Katsuki said trying to sound convincing.
“You had no idea, huh?”
“Not a clue.”
Katsumi rolled her eyes once again before standing back up to walk to her dad. “Look. It’s sweet of you to want to spend time with me after so many years, but after everything that just happened I just want to unwind by myself. I mean, unless you want to do these face masks with me.”
“Why would we need to do a face mask? Our quirk gives us perfect skin.” Bakugou said, looking down at the bowl of paste in his daughter’s hands. Katsumi looked at her dad in confusion.
“Wait..you’ve never done a face mask before?” She asked to which Katsuki shook his head. Katsumi’s face lit up at that fact. “Then you have to stay and do it with me, Dad! This’ll be great! I’ve always wanted a spa buddy and my friends are never interested and Mom’s never really had time. Of course, Katsuo’s not into it but you and I could totally do this together!”
“Uhhh, I don’t kno-“
“This could be the perfect Daddy-Daughter day!” Katsumi said, turning on a lightbulb in Katsuki’s head. The thought made him smile as he looked down to the bowl of cucumbers on his daughter’s vanity table and rubbed his chin.
And now Katsuki and Katsumi both sat on the living room recliners in their robes with head bands pushing back at their soft locks. Mint green facials covered their faces as cucumbers sat upon their eyes. Black paint adored their nails as the pink foam dividers kept their fingers separated. Their toes sat in foot baths as Katsumi used the TV to play relaxing music. In between them sat a bowl of water that Katsumi would drop hot rocks into every now and then to create a calming steam. Katsuki was not going to lie. This is the most relaxed he’s felt in awhile.
Katsumi peeled off one cucumber slice to take a look at her father who was laying back with a smile on his face. She giggled at the sight before leaning over. “Isn’t this great?”
At her words, Katsuki turned to her but refused to take his cool slices off his eyes. Katsumi continued on as if it was the most normal sight in the world. “The steam, the song, the spa! Everything’s so zen.”
“Zen?” Katsuki asked, finally raising one cucumber slice. “The hell does that mean?”
“You know, zen! Calm, relaxing, peaceful. That feeling you get when..” at that, Katsumi dropped another hot rock into the water to create steam.
“Ahhhhh,” the two sighed in zen as they leaned back in their chairs. They were definitely a calm duo at the moment. Before this, they had already sat in the sauna room, took a mud bath, got wrapped in seaweed, chilled in the jacuzzi, and painted their nails. This was the final step before their upcoming massages.
“Oh! And look!” Katsumi said and peeled off both cucumbers and pulled out various scented essential oils.
“What’s all that?” Katsuki asked.
“Essential oils! They’re for our massages. And look! My favorite, coconut!” Katsumi excitedly squealed. The two let out a small fit of chuckles before replacing their slices with new cold ones. After about 10 minutes, they didn’t even notice the front door opening.
“What the heck is all this?” You asked as you pulled off their cucumber slices.
“Heyyy!” The two whined. They looked up to see you standing with a small smile on your face as you examined the two.
“What’d I miss?” You asked before looking to your husband. “Hehe, Suki, this is a good look for you.”
“Shitty woman..” Katsuki grumbled as he attempted to cover himself even though he was already covered in the robe. “If you really wanna know, it’s spa day.”
“Yeah. Katsumi’s. Since when do you ever kick it at the spa?” You asked.
“Ever since my daughter invited me for a Daddy-Daughter day which you’re currently interrupting, so if ya don’t mind,” he said and tried to snatch back his cucumber slices before you tossed them aside. “Y/N!” He whined
“How long as this little spa day been going on?” You asked.
“Ever since 9 in the morning so abouttttt 10 hours already?” Katsumi said as she relaxed in her chair.
“Hm. Well, Mommy’s had a pretty tiring day so, why don’t I have my loving husband go and get my robe so I can join my daughter for a spa day.” You said taking your husband’s hands and dragging him to his feet.
“But it’s Daddy-Daughter day.” Your husband whined again.
“That’s cute, but I know Daddy-Daughter day is also an excuse for you to be avoiding the talk you need to have with her.” You whispered after pulling him in. “You can do this Katsuki.”
Your husband looked at you with worried eyes before throwing his head back and sighing.
“Fineeeeee,” he whined. “You can relax, I’ll be back with your robe, and I’ll even run you a bath afterwards because I’m that great of a husband. And..here,” he said and gave you Katsumi’s clear bottle of coconut oil. “Have some coconut water while you relax.”
“Wait- Mom-“ Before Katsumi could warn you, her dad held out a hand to signal her to quiet down.
You took the bottle with an appreciative smile as Katsuki pecked your cheek and walked on with a smirk. You happily took his seat as you took a sip of the ‘water.’ “Umm, Suki this coconut water is a little..thick?” You said and took another sip.
“That’s because it’s massage oil,” he said as he walked into your shared bedroom while you spit out the liquid as if it were a spit-take. You could hear his deep chuckle all the way from the living room and placed the bottle down in disgust.
You had your spa day with Katsumi and Katsuki had felt mildly accomplished with his goal. However he knew you were right. He had to speak to his daughter to clear the air. As he looked at the clock, he realized it was now 10 and the stars were bright outside. You were resting from your long day so he took the opportunity to think in peace by himself as he stepped out onto the patio. Once he opened the glass door to the backyard, he noticed his daughter sitting at the edge of the little stage and looking up.
“Hey Katsumi.” Katsuki greeted his daughter as he stood behind her. The girl looked behind her to see her father standing there with his hands in his pockets as he looked down to her with a simple smile.
“Hey dad.” She replied. “What’re you doing out here?”
“Sometimes I like to just come out here, stare at the stars and just enjoy the peace. Your mom and I used to do this a lot back when we were in UA. Before I knew it, it became one my favorite things to do.” Katsuki explained, taking a seat next to his daughter.
“..yeah..same.” She replied. He smiled at Katsumi, glad to know they had something in common. The two stared at the stars and watched as they shimmered like diamonds in a Black Sea. Some glowed brighter than others and some had little tones of color. It was beautiful and so scenic.
As the two sat in silence, Katsuki felt the guilt slowly creep up to him. The guilt of how he had been treating his daughter as of late and so he realized this might’ve been the best time to have that important talk with her. “Katsumi?”
“Yeah?”
“You know I love you right? Just as much as I do Katsuo.”
His daughter broke her gaze from the sky and directed it towards the ground. She scrunched her brows as she thought about it and hugged her legs a little closer. “Honestly, it doesn’t feel that way.”
Ouch. That broke Katsuki’s heart. Here was his precious baby girl who felt her own dad didn’t love her enough. Trying to find the right words, Katsuki too looked down as he fumbled with his hands until he could form a sentence. “Do you remember how I said you were wild, reckless, and allowed your emotions to get the best of you?”
Katsumi nodded before Katsuki continued. “Well…you’re just like how I was back when I was in UA. Wild, reckless, and I allowed my emotions to get the best of me.”
Katsumi looked to her dad with a tiny gasp as he continued to go on. “Being like that got me into all sorts of trouble with my teachers, with villains, my family, everyone and everything. I had issues with the media and how they saw me and I had issues with myself.”
Katsuki then turned to Katsumi as he went on. “Katsumi, the reason why I’m so proud of Katsuo is because he’s everything I could never be at his age. I admire him for that. And you? You’re just like me…and you have no idea how much that terrifies me.”
“What?” Katsumi asked in confusion. She didn’t get it. She thought her dad would want a child to be just like him. Instead, he wanted the opposite?
“All the trouble I got into for being the way that I was…I don’t want any of that to happen to you. If Katsuo got my quirk, he’d be handling it a completely different way. With his attitude, it’d be easier for him to not look like such a villain, like I once did. Heck, people still look at me in caution as if I’m gonna turn evil or something. I don’t want tabloids and social media to have my daughter’s face set up to be some criminal when I know you’re not.” He explained.
“So..do you want me to change my attitude or something? Be more like Katsuo?” She asked.
“No! God no, Katsumi, I love you for who you are. I would never ask you to change yourself especially when I didn’t change all that much. I’m still wild and reckless and sometimes I still let my emotions get the best of me but I can handle it. I’m not saying you can’t, but I would much rather prefer it if you didn’t have to.”
As Katsumi took her father’s words in, she came up with a question she’s been dying to ask for the longest time. “Dad?”
“Hm?”
“…Are you proud of me?”
Katsuki softened his look as he sat closer to his daughter. “Of course I’m proud of you Katsumi. Always have been and always will be.”
“So then why don’t you ever tell me that? Why do you only degrade me and tell me I’m in the wrong?” She asked. Katsuki took a breath before explaining his wrong doings.
“Well, there’s actually two reasons for that. I wanted you to be prepared and be at your best but that was only a partial fact. You can call me a terrible father for this and you can call me selfish, but I did it because as horrible as it sounds, probably because it was horrible of me to do, I did it because I wanted to hold you back.”
“What?” Katsumi gasped.
“Katsumi, I didn’t want you to be in the hero course. I didn’t want you to hurt yourself or for something bad to happen to you.” He explained.
“But it’s okay for Katsuo to become a hero?” She asked with a hurt tone.
“That’s different.”
“Because he has a better attitude than me or something?!”
“No!”
“Because he can handle the media and quirk better?!”
“Katsumi, that’s not it either!”
“Then what is it?! Why won’t you let me grow?!”
“BECAUSE KATSUO IS KATSUO, YOU’RE MY LITTLE GIRL!”
Katsumi stared at her father with softer eyes as he waited for an explanation.
“…You’re my little girl, Katsumi. I can’t even imagine the pain I’d feel if somebody were to hurt any of my family, but you?” Katsuki sighed as Katsumi settled down. “From the moment you were born, I made a promise to myself I would never put you in harm’s way. When I first held you, you tried your hardest to open your eyes and when you slightly did, and you saw me, you smiled. I vowed to keep that smile on your face for as long as I could. Because you’re my little girl.”
“Dad..”
“And then you got your quirk. Not just any quirk, but my quirk. I was so happy that day. I knew you were going to want to do great things with your power and I knew that with me being a pro, you’d want to do the same. And I was right. But then I realized with you being a hero, you were going to be hurt, you were going to put yourself in danger. Whether you could handle it or not you’d still be in trouble. I couldn’t let that happened.”
After Katsuki’s confession, the world went still and silence filled the air. The two sat, deep in thought, until Katsumi spoke up.
“Dad..I want to be a hero because I want to be like you.” At his daughter’s words, Katsuki snapped his head towards her. “You’re my idol. Everything I admire. That’s why I train so hard. So that I can be like you and win battles instead of losing them. I know I’m going to get hurt on the field but I’d rather get hurt doing what I love than get hurt being some protected and secluded princess. Besides, I know you’ll always save me when the time comes. You’re my hero Dad.”
Katsuki felt himself tear up at her words and allowed himself to quietly cry. “Dad, stop crying.”
“I’m not!” Katsuki growled as he wiped the obvious tears away and looked off to the side. Katsumi giggled at her father’s antics before pulling him in for a side hug. “Somehow you grew up when I wasn’t looking…I’m so proud of you Katsumi.”
“Thanks Dad. And I may have grown up but I’ll always be your little girl. I promise.” Katsuki smiled at that and kissed the crown of her head.
“Thank you Katsumi.”

Orochimaru X Innocent! Reader - "Flower Crown"
This is sorta based off a story written by @marvelmymarvel called Not Wanted. It's adorable to see how attached Y/N is so Oro in the beginning, so I had to--
WARNING: Wattpad level writing :")
Tumblr media
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hmpf!" The girl crossed her arms and puffed out her cheeks at the thought of her big brother leaving her. Jiraya snickered at his little sister's adorable face and booped her nose with one hand, the other hand carrying a bag of his clothes and other needs. "Can I at least walk you to the place? I wanna meet the people you'll be staying with."
"You just wanna see if there's a girl on the team, don'tcha?" The 15 year old boy teased, making his little sister whimper cutely. Despite how childish she is, she's actually 14 years old. Yeah she's immature but she isn't stupid or helpless.
"I can't let you get a girlfriend, y'know!" Y/N barked back softly, blushing a little from embarrassment. Jiraya sighed and ruffled Y/N's hair with a caring look.
"I may trade you a lot, but I wouldn't dare hurt you. You don't gotta worry about some woman taken away your big bro's attention." Y/N eased her nerves, nodding. Jiraya smiled sweetly at her and extended his hand for her to take, then walked his way to the waiting post where his sensei and group is.
Jiraya was sure to impress his sister on the walk there, by the way. "And then this huge toad appeared right from under me! It told me I was the best toad summoner it's ever seen. Hell, my sensei and teammates even agreed that I was the best on their team, surpassing even some of greatest ninjas in history." Y/N giggled, nodding her head in agreement with him while thinking in the back of her head, what a lier.
"That's not how I remember it." The two siblings stopped and look ahead, noticing a pair of kids around Jiraya's age standing there. "Actually, didn't a tadpole appear over snd over again? Then sensei insulted you while we laughed?" A girl with blonde hair and a mischievous smirk on her face asked, making Jiraya's face turn red.
"Hey! Don't lie in front of my little sister!" Jiraya hissed, making Y/N giggled. Tsunade looked at the little girl besides him, raiding a brow. The girl looked so soft and sweet, and she was related to a complete idiot?
"Big brother, I know you're lying. You don't need to hide it," Y/N spoke in a sweet little voice that made Tsunade's voice melt.
The blonde appeared in front of Y/N instantly, talking over Jiraya's embarrassed yelling. "Woah, aren't you a cute girl! I'm Tsunade, what's your name?" Y/N's eyebrows furrowed as she examined the blonde.
"I'm Y/N. Are you big brother's girlfriend?" She asked, cocking her head. Tsunade made a face of pure disgust, replying with a hell no. Jiraya, who was now complaining about being ignored, was now complaining about how he wasn't that bad. Tsunade rolled her eyes and turned her attention to the embarrassed Jiraya.
The other person who was waiting by the bridge kept his yellow eyes locked with Y/N's E/C eyes. A light pink spread across her features as she stared at the pale man with a curious look on his face. Ignoring the two yelling people besides her, Y/N walked over to the pale man and bowed her head. "Who might you be?"
"I am Orochimaru. How old are you?" The raven asked back, bowing his head back.
Y/N raised her head and replied, "I'm 14. I'm assuming you're... 15?" The pale boy nodded his head, examining the smaller girl head from toe. Y/N felt nervous under the eye of the boy, but not because she was scared of him. No, she found him attractive; she was the kind of person to find many guys attractive you see.
"You're kimono. I have the same type," the boy spoke again. "However, the flower design is different. It's a pretty feature that suits you well." Y/N smiled at him softly, staring at her feet as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. As she opened her mouth to thank him, he began to walk away from the bridge they were stationed on. He sat down on a patch of flowers and motioned for her to take a seat by him. Hesitantly, Y/N rushed by his side and sat down.
"Your kimono is nice as well. It suits you a lot," she replied as she watched Orochimaru pull a few flowers from the flower bed and tie then together.
"I don't don't understand why you have to make everything so serious all the time! Can't I just have fun and make my sister proud!"
"It's difficult when you're lying to her you idiot! You're gonna corrupt her with your stupidity!"
The two friends argued profusely as Orochimaru and Y/N spoke sweetly to each other in the grass. Y/N now knew that her brother sure as hell wouldn't have a girlfriend anytime soon, so she didn't really worry about Tsunade anymore. Her focus was on the taller man who tightly put a bunch of golden flowers together tied.
"You know, you're not like your brother. You seem like you're quiet, aware of your surroundings, and concerned. I like that about a person," Orochimaru spoke as he put a few more flowers into his flower crown. He was swift in his movements, managing to finish the crown in the five minutes that it took before Tsunade and Jiraya to argue then shush.
"Thank you. You're difficult from most people I've seen too; apparently you prefer solitude and are an amazing fighter by yourself, according to rumor," Y/N explained, her face remaining heated up.
"Indeed I prefer solitude, however I could be better at fighting alone. It's like what I do is never enough."
"Well, I mean, it's good to take a break in order to come back stronger, right? That's what big brother tells me," Y/N explained, watching Orochimaru put in the last few flowers. Just when he finished, he looked over the smaller girl and smiled. Y/N's face reddened when the flower crown was placed on her head softly. "Oh, um-"
"Beautiful. It suits you well," Orochimaru spoke softly as he felt a small smile pull on his features. Y/N felt the flowers on her head and giggled softly, suppressing her excitement. Then Orochimaru stood up, holding out a hand for her. "The two stopped arguing, so we should probably get going now."
"Thank you so much!" Y/N spoke as she was pulled to her feet swiftly. In the background stood a stunned Tsunade and Jiraya, who's jaws hung open and eyes widened.
"What!" They screamed simultaneously, clearly scared as shit. "Is that even Orochimaru!" "Why is he around my sister!" "He's gonna kill her!" "She's gonna go corrupt and kill me!"
"Anyways!" Y/N spoke up, ignoring the worried yells from her brother and the blonde. She turned towards Orochimaru as she reached into a pocket of her kimono, pulling out a little necklace. It had a black string around a little purple gem in the shape of a heart. "Here! I like to work with healing gems and such so uh...this iolite might help you in your mission, hehe."
Oro examined the necklace for a moment, then took it. He examined the heart shaped gem, raising a brow. "You made this? It looks lovely," he stated as he put it around his neck, over his outfit.
"Yep! I sorta like to make things for people a lot so uh...I found a few gems and made things outta them, heh heh. This one is supposed to ease people's minds and bad habits. It might not do much, but I believe it will!" Y/N boosted in her sweet voice, reaching back into her pocket for other necklaces. There was rose quarts, honey calcites, and a painite. "I made a few of these this week, actually."
"Woah!" Tsunade came over, examining the works. "Can I have one?"
Jiraya walked over, hissing, "hey! She's my sister, I should get one!" Y/N giggled and rolled her eyes playfully, handing them both a necklace. As the two put their's on, Y/N hugged her big brother tightly.
"I'm gonna miss you! Be safe, okay?" She whimpered. Jiraya chuckled at her concern, patting her head.
"I'll be fiiine. Don't worry, sis!" He replied as he hugged her back. When they pulled away, Y/N faced Tsunade and Orochimaru, bowing to them.
"Stay safe. I hope we can meet again, you two!" And with a goodbye from those two, Y/N waved goodbye before walking off. When she left, a long talk about the younger girl was spoken from these three.
Oh my gosh could you write a childe x reader thing 🥺🥺 I wanna just have some sweet angst with a happy outcome somehow 😔
I may have gone a bit overboard- At this point, I feel I'm literally incapable of writing anything under 1,000 words. So sorry this took so long, I had to take a break from writing to work out some things with school. A bunch of nonsense and stuff lol. You didn't specify gender, so I wrote the reader as female, only cause that's what I'm used to working with. I apologize if that's not what you wanted. I can always whip up something for ya with your preferred pronouns! But I'm not sure if I'll make it this long . . . I honestly don't know how I even did this, like this is a feat I feel. Anyways, I hope Childe isn't too OOC in this. I'm not the best when it comes to writing angst, so I hope you like it! And just as a little explanation beforehand, I read up that Childe joined the Fatui when he was about 14, became a Harbinger at 18, and is considered a young adult. So in this fic, it's assumed that he and you are at least 20 years old just so the timeline adds up and stuff. Also, despite how long this is, Childe isn't in it as much as you probably wanted- I have a tendency to write more about the reader than the characters. It's something I'm trying to break, but I was just so proud of this. I hope you like it! Anyways, happy reading!!! ^^
Childe x Reader Angst
Plot- Reader and Childe have been together for years when Reader finds out that Childe killed her sister when she was young.
Word count- 8,864 (I'm so sorry)
Warnings- Mentions of death, sadness, bad writing, possible suicide at the end(But just mentioned as a fear), swearing, and cringe 'funny' moments cause why not.
The wind blows through your hair as you sit atop a ledge overlooking Liyue Harbor. Today is your younger sister's birthday, and for the past six years, it's been nothing but a reminder of your failure. You were supposed to take care of her. After your parents passed away, you were all she had left, and she, you. But you were just a kid yourself, hardly capable of raising a child.
You bite your lip and look over at all the families walking about, having fun. It brings a smile to your face knowing at least some people can be happy on this day. She wouldn't have wanted doom and gloom to be her only remembrance. The sun in the sky is warm, beaming down on your skin. You've fought many battles for the Adventurers Guild during your time living in town, and are proud to say you've survived. Even escaped a few sparring matches with Childe relatively unscathed.
You win every time, but it's no surprise given he lets you win. That's one of the many things you love about him. He tries to put you first in most situations as much as he can with his job. And it's the little things like letting you win a fake fight that makes you feel like you're floating.
Your relationship is practically plastered on every notice board in town with how affectionate you are to each other. Not a soul in Liyue can look at you and not know you are the Harbinger's lover. But you're okay with that.
Taking in a calm breath, you hop down and glide your way to the docks below.
"Good morning, _____! Nice weather, isn't it?" You smile at the young girl as she approaches you. You've known her for a while now, and have come to consider yourself friends. She seems a bit nervous though.
"It certainly is. Are you okay, Chen?" Her smile drops and she grips onto her arms.
"Can I ask a favor of you? It's rude of me, but I'm desperate!"
"It's fine, what's the matter?" The young girl sighs.
"My brother borrowed a loan from Northland Bank last month and the payments were due two days ago. He told me he was going to pay it back . . . He hasn't been home since. I just thought that . . ."
"You want me to ask Tar?" Her eyes snap up to yours.
"Will you? Please? I'm just so worried about him! I told him not to take that loan, but he never listens to me." You put your hand on her shoulder to calm her down.
"It's okay. It's no problem at all! I was just headed there anyway. I'll see about your brother for you." Young Chen sighs in relief and reaches in her pocket.
"Here, I want you to take this as payment." You shake your head and push her hand away.
"No, I could never!"
"I insist! My mother gave this to me when I was a kid," She opens your hand and places a small coin in before closing your hand around it.
"She told me travelers would give these coins to people who did favors for them and that they grant wishes! Though I'm sure that's just a children's story; I was never able to get it to work." You give the coin a look, hesitant, before slipping it into your pocket.
"Alright, I'll accept. Thank you!" You wave goodbye to Chen and head towards the bank. Childe spends most of his days there, what he does, you have no idea. It's a mystery. The most you get out of him is 'business' which, yeah, obviously you do business. But it's understandable. The Fatui are a questionable lot, and not many people in Liyue trust them.
The Qixing keep a close eye on them as well, though you're sure even they hardly know what goes down under the 'bank' façade. Sometimes Childe comes home with cuts and bruises, claiming they're from training with his comrades, and while you don't buy that one bit, you play along. No need to add to his stress. If he thought you needed to know, he would tell you. No doubt about it.
Walking up the many flights of stairs, you nod to Vlad who lets you in.
Lucky for you, the first face your eyes land on is the exact one you came looking for.
"Tar!" He immediately looks over in your direction, smiles, and dismisses the Fatui agent he was talking to.
"Well, if it isn't the most beautiful woman in all Teyvat. Come to steal my heart?" He pulls you into a hug and kisses your cheek.
"No need, I already have it," You pull away, giving him a smile.
"I actually came here to see you."
"I'd hope so! Who else would you want to see?" Rolling your eyes, you grab him by his hand and lead him to his office.
"I have a favor to ask of you," The joking atmosphere surrounding you turns heavy as you hold his hands in yours.
"As you know, today is . . . Very important to me. I was wondering if you could get off early tonight? If not, it's okay though. I don't want to trouble you or anything." Childe chuckles and pats your head.
"I know what today is. I already requested an early leave this morning, but they haven't gotten back to me yet. If we're that backed up, I'm not sure I'll be able to," Your face falls a bit, but you smile. He made the effort to try and get off early without you even asking.
He places his hand onto your face and rubs his thumb over your cheek.
"But I promise to make it up to you. If I don't get back too late, we can go up to Mt. Tianheng and watch the lights at night. I know you like to do that when you're upset." The kind smile on his face is only magnified by the gentle look in his eyes. He's always been soft with you, even before you got together.
It was always an odd sight for people to see the two of you interact before you were a couple. He always regards people with the same jokester attitude, especially those he has to keep an eye on. But when he's with you, he may joke around, but is always much more concerned for your wellbeing.
"Thank you, Tar. I really appreciate it." He smirks and laughs.
"You appreciate it, huh? How much?" You roll your eyes again and give him a kiss on the lips. Childe smiles into it and tries to make it deeper, but you pull away with his lips chasing after you.
"Easy there, tiger. Save it for later, huh?"
"So, there's a later?" You lightly smack his chest and pull away from him as he laughs.
"Get back to work, Tar." You turn to leave but stop in the doorway.
"Oh, before I forget, I ran into Chen earlier," The look in Childe's eyes shifts slightly, but you barely notice.
"She mentioned that her brother stopped by here about two days ago, and was wondering if you knew where he went after? He hasn't been home since and she's very worried."
He ponders for a moment before his eyes light up in realization.
"Now that you mention it, he did say he was headed towards Lingju Pass. Don't know what for though." He shrugs.
"Okay, thank you! I'll be sure to pass it on." You exchange words of love before you leave.
After speaking with Chen, you decided to head towards the countryside. Your conversation with her went about as well as you expected. She seemed distressed and unsure of the information you gave her, but any criticisms were held as she thanked you and left. You hope that she'll be okay and that her brother comes back. Archons know, you understand what it's like to lose a sibling.
You take in a deep breath.
The air in Liyue is unlike any other. Once you leave the city and all the warm bodies, it's nothing but gentle breezes and the smell of earth. And the occasional Hilichurl, but you can easily take out a few to preserve the peace.
Walking along a random path in the sand, you reflect.
When you and your sister were young, you would often take walks like these while your parents were arguing. Despite only being a few years older than her, you actively chose to take on a more nurturing role. But after your parents died, you realized just how hard it was to provide for the two of you.
You knew how to use a bow to hunt, but not well, and even though you had your mother's catalyst, you didn't have a vision. Sometimes just showing it off and pretending you had a vision was enough to scare off petty thieves and weak Hilichurls, but it was only a matter of time before that wouldn't be enough.
Unfortunately, that time came all too soon.
The two of you had found an abandoned campsite and you decided to rest for the night. Your sister and you were headed to Mondstadt in search of a distant relative who you believed could help you. But during the night, your sister got thirsty and you were all out of water in your canteen. So you heading out to find a lake close by to fetch some, only to return to see a dark figure escaping into the night and your sister, laying in the tent, unmoving.
You were only a few hours walk to the city.
Sometimes you wonder if you had kept going that night, maybe whoever it was would have never even crossed your path. Your cries for help were heard by knights close by and they gathered your sister. Everyone in the city was welcoming and understanding, and the church gave her a wonderful service.
But nothing could mend the hole in your heart. Thankfully, the family member was able to take you in and trained you to become a knight. But that's not what you wanted. You wanted to find the person who killed your sister. And after completing your training, you left for Liyue and gained your Cryo vision along the way.
You summon your catalyst and flip through the pages. It's strange how magic works and how everything interacts with your vision. Before you, this weapon served your pyro vision-wielding mother. After you gained your vision, all the spells changed to fit the cold rather than the heat. You sigh and close the book. Sifting through it is just going to make you more sentimental. The sky above begins to turn shades of orange and pink as the sun goes down, so you decide to head home.
"I know you did something!" A loud voice yells, not too far from you.
"Chen?" You whisper to yourself and make your way around to see her at the edge of town, yelling at a Fatui agent.
"Calm down, miss Chen. We don't know what you are referring to." She balls her hands into fists, her face twisted in anger.
"You know damn well what I'm talking about! Lingju Pass? He hasn't set foot there since our father died. How dare you make up such lies!" You decide to make your way over to try and calm her down. She's obviously upset, and you know that Fatui agents aren't well versed in the ways of 'feelings.' In fact, most of the ones you've met have all been quite stoic and unconcerned.
"Are you calling the Fatui liars, miss Chen?" You stop, Childe stepping out in front of the other agent.
What is Childe doing out here?
"You Fatui lie about everything! Everyone in Liyue despises your presence here, and this just proves to me how low you people actually are. What did you do to my brother?!" She reaches up to hit Childe, and you run up to her and grab her by her arms. You know she can't hurt him, but if she tries she could get into some serious trouble.
"Chen, listen to me, you have to calm down." She looks up at you with tears streaming down her face but shakes off your grip.
"No! I refuse! He knows something about my brother, I know he does!" She looks at you with pleading eyes.
"Please, _____, tell him. Tell him to tell me where my brother is!" Chen sobs. Tears start to form in your eyes.
"Chen, I'm sorry, but Tartaglia doesn't know," You look up at Childe and are taken aback by the look in his eyes. His eyes are dead, angry, violent as he stares at Chen. He waves his hand, and two Fatui agents come from behind and drag Chen away.
"Let go of me!" She struggles as they hold her arms and pull her through the dirt path. Chen glairs at Childe, digging her feet into the ground to slow them down.
"You're a monster, Harbinger! A monster!" You continue to stare after her as she's dragged away. What just happened? You've known Chen and her brother since you moved here. What could have happened to make this poor girl act like this? You jump when Childe places his hand on your shoulder.
"I'm sorry you had to see that." He wipes the tears from your cheeks and smiles his normal, dashing smile. Nothing like the look he was giving Chen just a moment ago.
"Sometimes those awful rumors spreading about the Fatui make people act irrationally." You look him in the eyes as he holds your face. His eyes are soft and caring now, just how he always looks at you.
"Do you know what happened to her brother?" You ask softly. His eyes darken a bit, but his smile never faults.
"_____, my love, are you questioning me now too? Come on, you know none of that stuff is true, right? I work at a bank, not much else to it." He answers, his voice joking, but there's this undertone you can't quite place and have never heard before. You force a smile and hug him close.
"Your right, I'm sorry for asking. I'm just so concerned for Chen and her brother. Do you know where they're taking her?" He hugs you back, tight, and kisses your forehead.
"I think you should just leave it be for now. Go home and get some rest. I should be getting off work soon, and we can do what I promised. How's that sound?"
"Good." You lean up and give him a kiss. His voice drops low as he whispers in your ear.
"I love you, _____. Don't ever forget that."
And he leaves before you can reply. A chill goes down your spine as you watch him leave, and it's not from your vision. You've never seen Childe like that before, even when he interacts with the Traveler. It made you freeze in place, made your blood run cold, and had your heart beating faster with fear all at the same time. That was Harbinger Childe, not your Tartaglia. You rub your hands along your upper arms to calm yourself. You never want to experience that again.
Taking a deep breath, you reach into your pocket to grab your handkerchief, but pull out the coin Chen had given you instead. All it does is remind you that once again you failed to protect someone you cared about. Poor Chen is scared and afraid, and you're positive that Childe's reaction did not help her any.
But as you hold up the coin, you notice a faint glow emanating from around the outer edge which turns the intricate patterns into Liyuian Characters.
'Let the truth be revealed.'
What does this mean? You remember Chen telling you the story of the coin, but it was just that. You've never heard of any coins gifted by travelers before, and it definitely wasn't a common folk tale.
You shove it back into your pocket and rush home.
The sun is almost fully down, and the stars begin to light your way as you walk hastily down the path. Once your house is in sight, you pick up the pace and run inside.
The glow from the coin is brighter now, illuminating your darkening house. How does one even make a wish on a coin?
"I want to see the truth, but I don't know how," The glow of the coin shifts and changes colors in your hands, giving off an almost mystical wave of magic you've never felt before. Whoever made this coin had to have been powerful. You take a deep breath and look at the coin with determination.
"Show me the truth!" The glow envelopes you and when you open your eyes, you're shocked at what lays before you. The dark figure that haunts your dreams at night looms over your dead sister, red-stained blade in hand and a mask over his face.
You step closer, the classic mask of the fatui on the hooded mans' face making his eyes glow white in the darkness. His stature is much smaller than yours, and his outline seems to be that of a boy. At the time it would have been easy for you to confuse him with a man, being he would have been taller than you. But now that you're an adult, you can clearly see his youth. He smirks and laughs down at your little sister's body while whipping the knife on his sleeve.
"You should never have crossed the Fatui." Your heart drops as the young boy removes his mask revealing ocean blue eyes. The eyes of your lover that you adore on the face of the person that you've despised for years. A woman appears next to him, the same woman you've seen him speak to on many occasions but have never spoken to yourself.
"Good work, Tartaglia. You've proven yourself useful to the Tsaritsa after all. But your job here is not done," Childe looks up at the taller woman, his face determined.
"The other daughter has left to fetch water. Unfortunately, there are too many knights around on patrol to take her. Dispose of the body, and return at once." Childe bows to the woman and she smiles wickedly.
"Yes, Signora. Anything for the Tsaritsa." She leaves, and Childe begins to wrap up the young girl's body in a blanket. He stops suddenly, lifting his head up as young _____ approaches from over the hill. Childe smirks, fixing his mask and hood back on properly.
"Until next time, _____." He says and begins to run.
You gasp as the light invades your sight again and you're returned to the present. Your heart is beating a mile a minute and your breathing begins to pick up. The realization is overwhelming, and the shock is preventing you from crying.
Tartaglia was the one this whole time? It can't be, it just can't! You love him, and he loves you, he says so all the time. Has he lied to you this whole time? Has he just been keeping you close to screw with you before breaking your heart and killing you? That coin has to be lying. There's no way your Tar would ever do something like that, especially to you! He tells you everything. There are no secrets between the two of you.
Right?
The clock on the wall says that it's seven-o-clock, usually when Childe gets off of work. You don't want to be here; you can't be here. How can you face him after seeing that, even if it was a lie? You quickly run up to your shared bedroom and grab your adventuring bag, filling it with few essentials.
Where will you even go? There's nowhere in Liyue where Childe can't find you. Even across Teyvat, the Fatui have eyes and ears. You just need some time to reflect, get your barrings, and confront him. If you'll confront him. This has to be some kind of joke, or lie placed by some unknown power to question your love for him. There's no way he could have-
"What are you doing, _____?" You gasp, started by Childe suddenly behind you, blocking the exit to your room.
"Tar, you scared me!" You say shakily, holding your bag close to your chest. He smiles his usual caring smile at you, but all you can see is the smirk he held while staring down at your little sister.
"Sorry, my love. I got off of work early like I said I would. Is that why you have your bag?" His ocean blue eyes dart down to your bag and back up to you again. You subconsciously grip the bag tighter, Childe noticing.
"N-No. I accepted a commission last minute." The lie slips out like acid on your tongue.
You've never lied to him before, and it feels wrong. But you have to get out of here. Every alarm bell in your body is screaming at you to run as fast as you can away from the man you love.
His brow furrows a bit with concern and he takes a step closer to you, but you take one back.
"This isn't about what happened today, is it?" He sighs and shakes his head.
"I'm sorry if I scared you, it's just I don't like it when people falsely accuse me of things. I kinda slipped into Harbinger mode for a sec there." He laughs, again trying to come closer to you, you step back.
"Are they false though?" The question falls from your lips before you realize it, and Childe's eyes widen in surprise.
"_____, you can't be serious? You know I would never lie to you-"
"How do I know that, Childe?" You've never called him Childe, and it shows from the shock on his face when you do.
"What are you going on about? I could never-"
"Get away from me!" You yell at the Harbinger, tears finally falling from your eyes. There's no way you could be near him like this, knowing that he could have . . .
"Why? I love you, I won't hurt you." You try to steady your breathing as he slowly inches closer, treating you as of your a wild animal he wants to tame.
"You don't love me." You shake your head, gripping your backpack with white knuckles.
"What?" The question comes out as a whisper from the man's mouth in disbelief, hoping he didn't hear you properly.
"You don't love me!" You say one again, louder, confirming what he has hoped wasn't true.
"_____," Childe tries to come closer, but you shove past him and run to the front door. Before you can grab the handle, Childe grabs you by the shoulders and spins you around.
"Please, _____," His eyes are glassy with unshed tears as he gazes into your own.
"Tell me what I did to make you think this way?" You sob, hands pushing on his chest to break free but failing. You can barely breathe as the sobs rack through your body.
"You-" Trying to get the words out only makes you cry harder as the realization hits you. All the rumors are true. The Fatui are evil, conniving, and uncaring. They kill, pillage, experiment, torture, and don't care about who they have to step on to get their way. And your boyfriend, the love of your life, the man you wanted to marry and start a family of your own with, is one of them.
"You killed my little sister!" Your hands ball into fists and punch his chest as hard as you can, but in your state, you have barely any power.
"My baby sister is dead because of you! How could you?" You managed to get out through your tears, finally breaking down in the arms of the man you've despised for years.
Childe stares at you, unbelieving. He pulls you into a tight hug, crying on your shoulder, continuously apologizing. Never in your life have you seen Childe cry. Even when talking about how much he misses his family or his country, the farthest he gets is a sentimental smile and longing. Never have you thought you'd see him cry either. It's almost enough to make you forget that he's practically admitted to the murder.
He killed your only sister. How do you know he's sincere with his tears as he holds you close and begs you not to go? You've seen him lie before, never to you, but if he kept this secret for so long, what else has he been hiding? But none of that matters right now. The man you've been searching for years for, who you wanted to kill with your own bare hands, is the same person holding you so tenderly now.
How could you forget the countless nights you've woken up from nightmares of that boy coming to kill you and finish what he stared, only for Tartaglia to wake you up and hold you close, promising that he'd protect you? Every year when you mourn your sister and confide in him about how you were going to find that monster no matter what it took, did he fear you'd ever find out and kill him?
Is that why he kept you close for so long, to make sure you'd be too weak for him with love to ever even try? How can you love someone who killed your sister? It's easy to just assume you'd hate him, but for some odd reason, a little voice in the back of your mind is telling you to trust him and love him like you always had.
Another voice is telling you to end his life with no mercy and finally bring your sister to the peace she deserves.
Gathering up your strength, you manage to push him off of you.
"_____, no," He's in a state you've never seen before, face wet with tears, nose running, eyes puffy. But, he doesn't try to pull you back in.
You swiftly grab your bag and leave the house and Childe behind.
-------------
"_____," Your cousin John calls your name, pinching the bridge of his nose. He watches as you continuously use your vision to destroy training dummies.
"You continue this and the knights aren't going to have anything left to train with." You stop temporarily to glare at him.
"I'm training."
"So it seems." He watches as you continue your 'training.'
"You know, this doesn't seem healthy. I'm no doctor or anything, but, maybe you should, like, not?" You sigh irritated and cross your arms.
"Not what, John?" He gestures to the broken wood pieces scattered around the courtyard. You roll your eyes.
"I'm doing no worse than the average rookie knight!" John nods, leaning up against the wall.
"Yeah, yeah, except no. Why? Thank you for asking, cause your not a rookie and you're upset, at what? I don't know because you refuse to tell me. All I know is that my cousin is back after being gone for three years and the-," John looks around before stepping closer and lowering his voice.
"The Fatui in town have been eying us up everywhere we go. What the hell happened while you were in Liyue?" You bite your lip and message your wrists. The tips of your fingers have begun to turn purple from the cold, but you hardly seem affected. John pats you on the back and leads you inside the knight's headquarters.
"Look, I know we were never very close, and when you lived with us, we barely spoke, but I'm here now. We're not kids anymore, _____." The two of you sit down in the library. The three years you lived with your uncle and cousin were your worst. They treated you nice, but you were grieving and took it out on them and many training dummies. It seems you've done the same again.
"I'm sorry, it's just . . ." What happened with Childe months ago is still fresh on your mind. You haven't seen him since you left that night, and you aren't sure if you want to. You're conflicted. You thought coming back to Mondstadt would help you clear your mind and help you decide what to do, but you can't, and it's frustrating.
Despite how hard you've tried . . . You still love Tartaglia with all of your heart. But you can't forget what he did. You could never forgive him either. You've held hatred for this man for six years now, and every waking moment has been used to devise a plan to find him and kill him. But you can't kill him; not when you still hold these feelings.
If this was his goal, then he succeeded. You know he knows you're in Mondstadt. As John said, the Fatui have had their eyes on you since you showed up. You wouldn't be surprised if they all have you listed as a threat. After all, being one of their high-ranking officer's vengeful lover with intent and reason to kill would put anyone on a list.
But, with that said, he hasn't tried to contact you. No letters, no passing of words, hell, no carrier pigeons. He's extra enough to do that. And this has caused you to feel even more upset. Cause you still love the man, and there's some hope still there that he meant what he said and he does love you and the fact he hasn't done anything is killing you.
"_____, you good?" You snap out of your daze and nod.
"Yeah, I was just thinking."
"You seem to be doing a lot of that lately. Please, what's going on with you?" You decide it's best to tell your cousin the truth.
You explain to him the situation. How you fell in love, what life was like for you the three years you were gone, the coin, and finding out the killer's identity. John looks at you in shock.
"Wow, that's a lot. And this is why you came back?"
"Yeah, I know. I should have come back sooner to at least visit, but," John cuts you off and waves his hands.
"No, you're fine. I mean, it would have been nice to see you, but that's irrelevant right now. You found out your boyfriend, a Fatui Harbinger, was the one that killed your sister, and you're here? Doing what? Destroying Favonius property?" You agree hesitantly.
"I mean, when you put it like that, it sounds odd."
"No, _____, odd is an understatement. Why are you here? You should be getting answers, slapping people, storming Snezhnaya! Actually, don't do that last one, that could get us in a lot of trouble."
"True," You agree.
"Honestly, I don't know what to do. Do I confront him? I mean, if he did kill her, which I'm about 90% sure at this point that he did, do I get revenge? I've wanted to for years, but I know that I could never kill him." John takes your hand in his and speaks with sincerity.
"You love him, I get that, but you can't let that get in the way of things."
"No, I mean, I literally couldn't kill him. He's a beast in battle, and could probably end me without even blinking. I've seen him take on multiple ruin guards in seconds, like, he's on a whole nother level." You sigh and put your head in your hands.
"But even despite that, I do still love him. At this point, I feel the best thing to do is to just move on. Go my own way and let him go his."
"And what about your sister, huh? Just gonna forget about her?" You look at him questioningly.
"Look, you need to at least get closure. Obviously, he doesn't want you dead, because you would have been so by now. I can't even tell you how many times the Fatui could have nabbed you, gagged you, and sacked you since you've been back."
"Gee, thanks John, that really makes me feel better about the situation." He rolls his eyes.
"Talk to the man, _____. There will always be a home here waiting for you to come back to." Maybe your cousin is right? If Childe did want you dead, you know damn well he has the power to have made it happen. But how would you even react when you see him? The only way to find out is to get it over with.
With newfound enthusiasm, you jump up from your position and slam your hands on the table.
"Alright, I'm gonna go! I'm gonna talk with Tartaglia and I'm gonna punch him at least once!"
"That's the spirit!" A series of loud shooshes sound around the library and you slowly sit back down.
"Sorry!"
You and your cousin John devise a plan over the next few days. You're still unsure about this whole thing, but with encouragement from John, you gain the confidence you need to push through.
In the end, you decide the best thing to do is to sneak out of Mondstadt without any Fatui seeing you. It's still dangerous to speak with him, and the two of you decide the safest thing is to get him unprepared and off guard. If he's not expecting you, he has no time to plan. Not that he needs a plan to kill you, he could just do it. But still-
As the sun seeps down past the hills and flatlands of Mondstadt, John and you make your way out of headquarters and down to the main part of town.
"You know what sounds so amazing right now? A tall mug of cider from Angel's Share!" John exclaims and grabs your arm. The two of you practically run towards the tavern, gaining looks from the other citizens.
"Cool it, John," You whisper yell to him as you head inside.
"You wanna actually look suspicious?" He laughs, sitting down at a table in the back.
"Sorry if I'm not good at being convincing. Dad always said acting would be my downfall."
"When would you ever have to act to be a knight?" He shrugs his shoulders.
"Right now?" Okay, he has a point. Merely minutes after you sit down, two Fatui agents walk in after, taking a table far enough away, but close enough to keep you in their sights.
"Don't worry, _____," Your cousin says, noticing your worried expression.
We'll get you out of here."
John waves his hand and gains the attention of Master Diluc as he's walking around the tavern.
"We'd like two Valberry Whiskey's please!" Your cousin asks loudly and winks. Diluc rolls his eyes and heads towards the back of the tavern, getting the 'drinks.'
It was a miracle and a half that John was able to convince Master Diluc to help you. But John said he owed him a favor. For what, you have no idea. Not even a second later, a young bard runs over to your table and slams his hands down.
"What did you just order?"
"Uh," You look to your cousin for guidance. The drink was simply a code, not an actual order.
"Valberry Whiskey?" The young bard looks at you in amazement. He's clearly drunk, but the sheer excitement in his eyes seems to sober him up enough to eagerly rush to the bar counter.
"A new drink! And Diluc didn't tell me?!" His shouts of joy gain the attention of the entire bar.
"A new drink?!"
"One not on the menu?"
"Master Diluc!"
Your cousin and you share a look as the crowd goes wild, rushing towards the front bar and to the back looking for Diluc to inquire about this new drink. The few Fatui agents that had followed you in stand up from their seat to get a better view of you and John. John grabs your arm and pulls you into the crowd, the Fatui agents desperately searching for your whereabouts.
"This way, _____." He pulls you farther and farther away from the Fatui till you feel another hand grab you and pull you out of the back entrance to the tavern.
"Hey, watch your hands, buddy!"
"Would you rather still be in there then, _____?" You smile nervously up at Diluc, who's handing you a bag and cloak.
"Things didn't exactly go as planned, huh?" The redhead smirks and crosses his arms.
"I knew that bard would be in here tonight. Drunk off his ass, he wouldn't be able to resist the call of a new drink item." You laugh, pulling the hood over your head.
"Thank you, Diluc." He gives you a rare smile and nods. You begin to walk off but stop, looking back at the tavern owner.
"Hey Diluc, what was the favor for?" Diluc sighs and pinches between his eyes.
"I'd rather not talk about it."
The journey back to Liyue is a tiring one. It seems a lot closer than it actually is on the map, but heading to the main harbor is always a task. Thankfully, you're able to make your rations last the whole trip, and as you enter the harbor in the wee hours of the night, you smile at the familiar buildings. You may have only been gone for a few months, but this was your home for the last three years.
Your home with Tartaglia . . . You pull your hood farther down your head and try to remain in the shadows. Despite the time of night, the area is still bustling with people. Merchants making deals, ships delivering goods, the whole nine yards.
You flatten yourself against a wall as a few Fatui agents walk past. The place is absolutely crawling with Fatui, even more so than usual. Could it have something to do with you? You doubt it. Harbinger or not, Tartaglia could get in serious trouble for using Fatui resources in such a way.
You carefully slide through cracks and crevises, branches and bushes, trying to stay out of any Fatui sights. Eventually, you find yourself on the outskirts of the city, not far from your shared home. It surprisingly takes a lot from you to not run straight for it. You miss your house. You miss your bed. You miss Tartaglia.
But now is not the time to get sentimental!
You still need to confront him about what he did. And depending on his answer, one of you may not make it through the night. You keep yourself stealthy as you enter the house from the back. He's not home, which is good. But the place is in disarray. Furniture turned upside down, plates smashed against walls, everything caked in dust. It's hard to believe he's been living here if he even has been.
If that's the case, you may have to go looking for him. You look around the house at the disaster. He may have been trying to look for something; maybe a clue to what you had planned or something to use against you.
With that in mind, you run up the stairs to the master bedroom and open the closet. You fear the worst but are surprised to find your sister's belongings still in place.
Surely he would have found them in here.
The bedroom isn't as bad as the bottom floor, though still a mess. The bed is unmade, with a small pile of your clothes on your side of the bed, and his clothes on the floor. All of your things, besides the clothes, are still neatly in their places. Pictures of you and him together that were once on the walls are now on his nightstand, face up and smudged with fingerprints.
"What the hell happened here?" The sound of the front door opening startles you. Could that be Childe? There's no way he's living like this!
Footsteps move across the floor, into the kitchen, into the living room, and slowly up the stairs. Whoever it is, your about to face them.
The door opens slowly, almost torturously so. Soon, the sunken and sullen face of your lover is in your view, and even faster, your on the floor with a knife made of hydro to your throat. Your hood continues to obscure your identity as Childe pins you down.
"Bold of you to break into the home of a Fatui Harbinger! What did you expect?" With the pressure from the knife digging deeper and deeper into your skin, you freeze the hand wrapped around his holding the knife, and kick your leg out. Childe falls over, dropping his weapon which shatters on impact. Before you can get your bearings, he's lunging at you again. He grabs you from behind and holds you in a chokehold.
"Your fast, but you'll never be fast enough!" You gasp for air, holding onto his arm as it's wrapped around your neck. He's trying to kill you, you know he is. All the times you've sparred with him, you knew he was holding back, but he's definitely not this time. Even so, his hold on you is weak. Weak for him, at least.
You rear your elbow into his stomach as hard as you can knocking him back and you summon your catalyst. As he said, he's faster than you, but before he can get back, you place a wall of ice between him and yourself. It's not enough to hold him back for long, but enough to catch your breath. He laughs as he can hear you choking, attempting to regain your oxygen.
"You think this little wall will stop me?" He attacks the wall with his fist, making a section crumble. Your breathing is fast, but you can't seem to gain enough breath to speak. As he crumbles your wall piece by piece, you pull back your hood and lean on the bedroom wall behind you. Finally, he lands the finishing blow and the ice dissipates in a gust of cryo magic. The crazed look of bloodlust vanishes from his face the instant he sees you, hand on your throat, and your breath heavy.
"___-," He can hardly finish his whisper as he lets out a shaky breath. With the tense atmosphere suddenly calm, you're able to regain your breath and look up at the man. His skin a pale and his eyes are dull. He has large dark circles under his eyes and he looks a bit thinner than normal.
"_____," He manages to get out, still shocked you're actually here.
"Are you okay?" You shake your head.
"You haven't seen me in months and that's the first thing you say to me?" He rubs the back of his neck and looks down, ashamed.
"I didn't know it was you. I'm sorry if I hurt you." You can hardly believe what you're seeing. He seems broken, utterly defeated. If he hadn't fought you just now, you'd assume he'd fall over with the breeze.
Looking at him now, it's hard to believe he's the same man that killed your sister.
"We need to talk." He nods, refusing to meet your eyes.
"You need to tell me the truth, Tar," He takes in a shuddering breath at your words.
"All these years, I've been beside you. I've stood up for you, I've loved you. I told you all my darkest secrets and nightmares. Not once did I ever lie to you."
Tears come to his eyes just as they do yours. He bites his lip to prevent the tears from falling. You step closer to him, dropping your cloak, and put your hands up to his face. He flinches away from you but relaxes when your palms cup his cheeks and he finally looks you in the eyes.
"Over the past few months, I've thought long and hard about what I wanted to say to you. And no matter what scenario I came up with, I could never tell if I was doing the right thing. But, even though I carry some semblance of anger, I know that what I feel for you is real. And with that, I still hold hope that you feel the same and it wasn't all just a lie."
He grabs your hands, the tears now falling one by one down his pale cheeks.
"I swear to all the Archons that I love you! I never lied about that!" You hesitate for a moment, blinking away your own tears.
"And though I don't want to, I believe you," You rub your thumbs across his face, clearing some of the tears.
"But I need you to tell me everything." Tartaglia closes his eyes. He never dreamed in a million years he'd have to tell you this story. He'd hoped that you'd live in blissful ignorance for the rest of your life with him. But the gods had another plan for him and you, and he prays that at least one of them will let him keep you. Even if that's a selfish request.
"I joined the Fatui when I was young. I was constantly trying to prove myself to Signora and the Tsaritsa that I was willing to do anything they asked me. I still am," He looks at you with regretful and sorrowful eyes as he recalls the past.
"Your parents had fled Snezhnaya when you were born, because of a debt they racked up with the Fatui. When they were found in Fontaine, it was revealed that they were working for a group of rebels intent on infiltrating Snezhnaya. It was my job to take you and your sister to use as leverage on your parents. But, your sister fought back," You release his face and look away, finding it harder to keep eye contact with him.
"I wasn't as skilled as I am now, and I panicked. But La Signora said I did a good job. I didn't know that your parents had already been killed by the rebels, and neither did the Fatui. Not until after we had left you. At that point, there was no reason to continue after you. But you were never forgotten about. And when you came to Liyue, I was instructed to keep an eye on you," Childe lifts his arms up and places his hands on your shoulders.
"But I never expected to fall in love with you." You look into his ocean blue eyes and are overcome by the warmth they hold for you.
"The day I met you, I could feel it, and I tried so hard to forget about it, but you were just so . . . Amazing, and beautiful, and kind. I never expected that from you. You never once judged me or ridiculed me, even though you knew who I was. I thanked the Archons every day that you came into my life, and I prayed that you'd never find out what I'd done."
A sob breaks through as he wipes the tears running down his face. All the years you harbored hatred for this man, you never once thought about what he could have been going through. It's true that this doesn't excuse his actions, but to know that he truly regrets what he did brings you some kind of closure. In the end, revenge would have never made you feel better. Your sister wouldn't have wanted that.
You love Tartaglia with all your heart, and in this world, it's better to forgive than to let it eat away at you any longer.
"Tartaglia," His name comes out as a whisper with your breath, but he hears you loud and clear. The fear of rejection in his eyes tells you everything you need to know as you carefully speak to him.
"I forgive you." He cries, pulling you to his chest and you hug him back. Unfortunately for him, you weren't finished.
"But, I need some time to think about this. I love you; I never stopped loving you, and I always will," You pull back and smile at him before gently kissing his chapped lips.
"I'm going back to Mondstadt, but I'll be back. You just need to give me some time." He smiles as best he can and nods enthusiastically.
"I'd give you all the time in the world if I could." He moves to kiss you again, but you put a finger up to his lips to stop him.
"Save it for later, Tar." He laughs, looking back up at you with bright eyes.
"So, there's a later?"
(A little something extra. It doesn't quite fit to be an ending, but more like an epilogue just tying things together I guess lol.)
___________________
You sigh as you sling your bag over your shoulder. It's been a good few months back in Mondstadt after your reconciliation with Childe, and you've decided it's time to go home. You've kept in regular contact with him since you've been here, writing letters to each other like new lovers. You found the whole thing quite cute, despite the circumstances. He's been regarding you with caution, taking things one step at a time, and never pushing you past any limits you set. You're grateful for that.
"You sure you wanna go back? You can always stay a bit longer, just to give yourself a bit more time to think it over." John says, arms crossed and head down. You two have grown closer over your time spent here. It's a shame to think you were so caught up in your misery to be blind to the best friend you could have had. And it's tough to say goodbye, now that you've grown attached.
"I'm sure. You don't have to miss me too much, ya know? I'll be back to visit, and I'll write every week!" John huffs.
"You better, or I'm coming over there and kicking that Fatui's ass for keeping you away! I don't care how many ruin guards he can take on!" You laugh and pull him into a hug.
"I'm gonna miss you." He hugs you back, holding you tight.
"Yeah, I know." You roll your eyes and wave goodbye to the family you didn't realize you had.
Once back in Liyue, you get settled into your home with Childe. Thankfully, he cleaned up the mess he made while you were gone. He had said he was so distraught at the thought of you leaving him, he trashed the place in anger. Not anger from you, but anger at himself. He was afraid you'd think he was a monster, that he was heartless, and that you'd never want to see him again.
He was relieved when he heard you were in Mondstadt. There, he could keep an eye on you. One of the things he was afraid of was you doing something to yourself due to the pain of it all . . . If you did that, he wouldn't know how to cope. And when he received word that you had disappeared from Mond, well, he thought that fear had come true. But in the end, things worked out. You could never forget what he did, nor do you want to. It's something you have to live with, just like he does, and it's up to you to put it aside.
You know there are many things he's done that he's not proud of. Many things of which he promises to tell you when he's ready. And you'll be there to listen as he spills his heart out to you.
You take in a breath of air as you enter the harbor, smelling the salty water of the ocean and the wonderful herbs being brought in from traveling merchants. You'll never get over these smells.
"_____!" You look over your shoulder, surprised as Chen runs over to you. You haven't seen her since the incident outside of town.
"Chen! Are you okay?" She smiles and hugs you.
"I'm doing great! My brother and I have been selling a lot more of our goods since he's been back, and business has been booming!"
"Your brother?" You tilt your head.
"Yes!" She nods enthusiastically.
"He did go to Lingju Pass as Childe had said. It turns out, he had a buyer out there but didn't want to tell me in case the deal went south. I overreacted. . ." She puts her head down in shame.
"All the rumors about the Fatui got to my head, and I assumed the worst. But Childe went out and found my brother for me. Can you please tell him I said thank you? Also that I'm sorry. I really owe him one."
You pat her on the head, relieved.
"Of course, Chen." She reaches into her pocket and pulls something out.
"For payment-"
"No!" You shove her hand away.
"Gotta go! I'm late to see Tar!" You sprint off, leaving a confused Chen in your wake.
I did it y’all. Here’s the first part of the thaluke fic where Thalia joins Kronos
A canon-divergent fic in which Annabeth wasn’t used as bait for Artemis in ttc and was a member of the quest to save the goddess.
Thalia’s POV
Impending grey clouds hung in the sky above them like a ceiling over Mount Othrys. Luke’s eyes met hers like an arrow finding its target. The blue wasn’t the welcoming color of the sky that it had been last time she’d seen him, instead it was faded and cracked like old china. She wanted desperately to know what he’d seen in their time apart, to know what had broken down those blue eyes.
Thalia forced herself to break from his gaze and look across the mountaintop to where Annabeth and Percy had managed to trap Atlas underneath the sky once again. The titan released a mix of strangled cries and violent curses at the two demigods as they scooted away from him, both visibly exhausted from the weight of the sky that had been on their shoulders just a moment ago. Thalia didn’t know how they’d managed it, but she’d learned over the course of their quest to never underestimate those two when they were together.
Her friends were safe. Artemis had been freed. Atlas was once again imprisoned. All of Thalia’s tasks were complete and she could return to Camp having succeeded on her quest. But the broken blue eyes wouldn’t let her leave that easily.
Luke was standing there, still far enough away that she couldn’t reach out and touch him. He’d watched the entire fight go down without so much as reaching for his sword. Annoyance pricked at Thalia’s mind. Why hadn’t he tried to help them? She knew the answer, though it didn’t make the disdain go away. If he had stepped into the battle, he would have needed to fight on Atlas’ side. He didn’t want to hurt any of them.
Thalia knew he was waiting for her to say something, so she did.
“Tell me.”
His features froze, his eyebrows raised in shock. He stayed that way for a moment before responding.
“I wasn’t sure you wanted to know.”
She huffed, dropping her spear onto the ground. She wouldn’t be needing it.
“Of course I want to know. Why wouldn’t I?” Thalia asked.
“Annabeth hates me,” he replied, as if that would explain everything. It did. Annabeth was their little sister, the one they needed to protect. Thalia could only imagine how much it hurt Luke to know that the girl was so angry with him. That she didn’t want to be around him.
“She’s young. She’ll come around, you know that. Now tell me.”
His head dipped down and she knew he was wondering if what she said was true. Thalia knew how much Luke worried about Annabeth, he always had. But 14 year old girls were hard to deal with, even without Kronos involved. It would just take time.
Thalia cleared her throat and he looked up again. Her gaze was enough to make the words start pouring out of his mouth.
“Kronos said he can make the gods face consequences for their actions. Make them pay for everything they’ve done. For my mom, your mom, all of it. How could I ignore that?”
Thalia knew he couldn’t, it wasn’t in his nature. It wasn’t in hers either. Those months on the streets they had spent together had been overflowing with resentment towards their parents, both parties equally responsible.
“Kronos is going to hold them accountable, and I said I’d help him. Don’t tell me you wouldn’t have done the same,” Luke said.
She had been avoiding the thought ever since she’d woken up. How could she sit in the middle of Camp, surrounded by kids who regarded Kronos as the worst thing to ever happen, and think that he was right? How could she face the fact that she would have been doing the exact same thing as Luke if she’d been alive? She’d pushed the idea as far away as she could, but now, outside of Camp’s borders, it was right back at her side.
“You could join us,” Luke said, his voice desperate. It was pointless. They both knew this was where the conversation was going from the moment it began. And they both already knew what she’d say.
The cries from Atlas had finally quieted as he bore the load of the world. The newfound silence gave the mountaintop an eerie feeling. Thalia felt like she should check on Annabeth and Percy, but she couldn’t bring herself to look at them. Not with knowing what she was about to do.
She gave Luke a slight nod, a gesture that had defined their relationship before Camp. It was simple, just an acknowledgement of the other. But it had kept them alive, and it had kept them together. When everything else in their lives had failed, it had kept them together.
“Of course I will.”
