#and realise their worth as an employee..?
I saw this post the other day that said something about how back in The Day, most sitcoms were about a group of friends or a family, and very little was ever said about their jobs and what they do for a living. And now all sitcoms are set in a workplace and very little is said about people’s lives outside of work and I just wanna say; Ever since I read that post, I have been ripping my hair out.
Because like. Yeah. That’s basically it, isn’t it? In the 80s and 90s it was all about hanging out with your friends at the coffee house or spending time with your family after work and on the weekends, and that was the most important thing in these characters lives, and now it’s just. Work. Friends outside of work? Don’t exist. Family outside of work? Don’t matter. “Workplace romances” is such an overused trope nowadays because these characters don’t meet anyone outside of work. And it’s never really fulfilling work, either. Normally it’s an office or someplace where people wish they were doing something else.
Kicking, screaming, biting ect ect.

I think what I love about the Murderbot Diaries
(aside from, you know Murderbot who I love and cherish)
It that it’s a very grim-dark distopian corporate hellscape setting, told through the perspective of someone who has seen some of the worst that world has to offer, who’s existence is part of the worst that world has to offer, and yet-
And yet it’s so full of hope.
Everywhere you look, there’s underground shipping routes to get refugees out from contract labour, there’s universities forging documents to get abandoned colonies out from corporate ownership, there’s people buying a secunit so the company don’t realise it’s hacked itself and has free will. A Tlacy employee smuggles out copies of the files to give them back to their owners, a human officer on HaveRatton station opens the security barrier to let Ayda Mensah escape. There’s a planet that took the promise of somewhere safe to live, of food and medical care, and kept that promise for generations.
And for all it can’t even see the hope yet, can’t even really believe it might be there yet (because trauma will fuck you up), Secunit keeps being that hope for other people.
Not just the lives it saves, not just all the times it shows up out of nowhere like a social anxious guardian angel with energy weapons in it’s arms and several lifetimes worth of soap operas in it’s storage.
When it talks to Dr Volescu all the way up the side of the crater, to keep him moving. When it sticks with the scientists on RaviHyral. When Tapan sneaks onto it’s sleeping mat, because she’s scared, and it ups it’s body temperature to keep her warm. When it keeps Amena safe from a predatory partner, when it tells her to go rest. When it hacks the Comfort Unit’s governor module. When it-version-2.0 gives Three the codes to hack itself.
Imagine being on RaviHyral. Imagine meeting a security consultant who you shouldn’t be able to afford, who goes above and beyond and doesn’t even check the payment card at the end, who tells you that sometimes people do things to you that you can’t do anything about, that all you can do is learn to live with them, who’s clearly been through some shit but came out of it with so much compassion. Imagine the hope in that.

Camel 🐫 Of A Zoo 🦥 Or A Desert 🏜
Camel 🐫 Of A Zoo 🦥 Or A Desert 🏜 One day, a camel and her baby were chatting. The baby asked, “Mother, why do we have humps?” The mother replied, “Our humps are for storing water so that we can survive in the desert”. “Oh”, said the child, “and why do we have rounded feet mother?” “Because they are meant to help us walk comfortably in the desert. These legs help us move around in the…

Idk if you watched the movie Were the Millers?? But can you do imagine where reader never had a first kiss and charles and lando give her her first kiss ?? Like the scene with Jenn Anniston, will poulter, and Emma roberts ???
Grounded || LN4 & CL16
AN: Been a while since I watched it but this was fun to write ☺️ virgin!fem!reader
The backseat to Lando’s Range Rover was spacious and you stretched your legs out to settle in for the drive. A snow storm had grounded the planes in London and Lando had offered to put you both up for the night. As Charles assistant you had tried your best to find a hotel but with Christmas right around the corner everything decent was booked out.
Lando had said to call him if you ever needed anything, but you hadn’t been brave enough to use it until now.
“Are you sure it’s okay to drive in the snow?”
“It’s 4 wheel drive,” Lando replied as he looked at you in the rear view mirror and reassured you with a smile. “We’ll be fine, but if we get stuck at least we can huddle for warmth.”
Your eyes widened at the departing wink in the mirror and your cheeks could have melted all the snow within the greater London area. It would have been a service to the city worth a damehood by the King himself.
“Stop teasing my assistant, Lando,” Charles said with a laugh. “She accidentally deleted my calendar the last time you flirted with her.”
You wanted to argue but he had left you so frazzled you hit the wrong buttons on your iPad. It had been mortifying and the fact your boss was bringing it up again only made you slink lower in the leather seat. It was hard enough to work with such a handsome man, but the fact that his friends that he competed against were just as handsome made your life much harder. At least Charles paid you so there was a line of employee/employer relationship that kept things professional, but there was still the occasional comment that crossed that line - and you never knew how to handle it. Mostly, your brain just shut down.
Shoving your AirPods in, you started to open Spotify to find a distraction from your embarrassment and they both noticed it.
“I can’t help it, you cannot tell me that you don’t find the innocent vibe hot?”
Your fingers froze over the song you were about to play and realised they thought you were already listening to something.
“She’s my assistant.”
“That’s not a denial.” Lando was grinning from ear to ear. “I bet she’s still a virgin.”
You spluttered indignantly and both men looked at you, Charles over his shoulder and Lando in the mirror. Tugging the AirPods out you narrowed your eyes and lied, “I am not a vir-” you couldn’t even bring yourself to say it but you swallowed and took another attempt, “virgin.”
The weak lie caused a crack in the press of lips, until both men laughed outright. Huffing, you crossed your arms and looked out the window. “Does it really even matter?”
“Aren’t you even curious?” Lando shot back.
“I know all about sex, for Christ’s sake, I do read.”
“I’m not sure reading is quite the same as doing in this case,” Charles said, remembering the many times he caught you slamming a book closed at his entrance. He was even more intrigued about those thick volumes now.
“Reading doesn’t threaten to leave me disappointed as I have heard men tend to do.”
Lando scoffed and shook his head. “I haven’t had that complaint. Charles?”
“No, no complaints either.”
“I’m sure it’s less romantic than the books describe too, like kissing. What is so good about possibly chipping a tooth, or sharing saliva?”
The SUV screeched to a halt into a rest stop and Lando turned in his seat. “Wait. You’re telling me you’ve never been kissed?”
“Don’t be stupid,” Charles asked, before he turned and saw the telltales signs of your discomfort. “No, really? How? You are beautiful.”
Your mind went to that place of thoughtlessness, where every neurotransmitter misfired and your heart seemed to find itself beating in two places. “Uh…” you scrambled for an answer that they patiently waited for. “I don’t have any time to date so it just hasn’t come about.”
Charles certainly utilised your availability to be on call 24/7 but he hadn’t thought about the personal cost that took on you. He assumed you didn’t have or want a social life, not that he was the cause for it. Maybe that was why he next words slipped out without censoring, or so he told himself. “I will kiss you, right now.”
“Or I can, and I’m not your boss so there wouldn’t be anything wrong with it,” Lando countered, already unbuckling his seatbelt. “Everyone deserves a perfect first kiss.”
You gripped the seatbelt across your chest as you tried to understand why they were both unbuckled and opening their doors. Cold air rushed in as both backdoors opened and they slipped in beside you, mist billowing from their breath before the warmth was sealed inside once more.
Your lips felt dry and they watched as the tip of your tongue peeked out between to wet them. Your fingers were gently pried off the belt until each hand was laced with theirs but you still stared ahead at the unhappy quiet road. “What if I don’t want to be kissed?”
Lando scoffed but Charles turned you to face him with one curled finger under your chin and a look that made breathing impossible. “Then tell me you don’t want to be kissed,” he whispered as his lips drew nearer, his breath fanning your cheek. The touch of his lips were chaste at best, a caress on cheek before trailing closer to the place where words failed. Your toes clenched in your boots and you trembled with anticipation until the air burst back into your burning lungs. Your lips parted with the intake and he struck.
Your stomach that had been knotted suddenly erupted in the explicable feeling you had only read about. Butterflies, chaotic and energetic, fluttered joyously around your insides and a foreign sound escaped your lips that danced with his.
“I think she likes that, Charles.” A hand on your throat stole you from the taste that you certainly wanted more of and when you opened your eyes you found the pair change from green to blue. “My turn, gorgeous.”
Lando didn’t tease. His hand squeezed and you gasped in response, a sound so similar to what Charles had drawn from you. He took the opening you gave him and devoured you with the hunger of a starving man. His tongue dominated yours as he tipped your head back and deepened the kiss further until you were certain you were going to be consumed by him.
You welcomed it.
You weren’t adept enough after two kisses to know whose was better, both left you yearning for more. But they were parked on the side of the road and you were all too well aware that losing your virginity in the back seat of a Ranger was not what you wanted. Even if your body screamed yes.
“How do you feel?” Charles asked as he eyed your swollen lips and your dilated pupils between your flustered blinks with pride.
“Uh…” You told yourself to think but it was nearly impossible, and the men chuckled with the knowledge they had kissed you stupid.
“Just think of what other ‘firsts’ we could be,” Lando offered as he ran a thumb along your bottom lip, wanting another taste. “We could be snowed in for a while.”
“Wait, what?” They cut through your mental haze with clarity and you sat up straighter. “No, the airport said tomorrow…”
Charles shrugged and your brows pinched. “The storm’s worsening, it might be a few days until the planes can take off.”
“It’s okay,” Lando assured you with a kiss to your cheek. “I’ll look after you.”

Cozened Indigo - Part One
Pairing: Modern!Aemond Targaryen x f!reader Warnings: Mentions of murder, dark themes. Word count: ~4k
Summary: Unhappy with the assignment she has been given to work on for the Duskendale Gazette, she opts to pursue her own story, not quite realising what she's getting herself into. Series masterlist.
Author's note: For @humanpurposes. I have put my journalism degree to use here, to ensure as much accuracy as possible. However, as Westeros is a fictional place, I have warped certain laws and regulations regarding court reporting for the purpose of the story. Please suspend your disbelief for the sake of a fictional tale. No tag list. Follow @fics-by-ewanmitchellcrumbs and turn on post notifications. Community labels are for cops.
Chewing the end of her pen, she leans closer to the computer monitor as her eyes scan the Reuters website almost frantically.
Aemond Targaryen, son of late billionaire, Viserys Targaryen, charged for the murder of his nephew, Lucerys Velaryon. Case pending trial.
Nervous excitement swirls in her gut, as she leans back in her uncomfortable, creaky office chair. This is the first mention she has seen of such a scandal, unsurprising considering how high profile the Targaryen family are in Westeros. They’ll have worked hard to cover this up, however, with a court case imminent, the news is now public knowledge.
She knows that every media outlet from Dorne to Eastwatch will be all over this, but it will be nothing beyond surface level detail, the most basic of coverage. None of them will be able to get the family to talk, but she can, that is her specialty – was her specialty.
Essos Fraudster Glorified by White Cloak Magazine.
The headline passes through her mind like a stormcloud, a dirty mark upon her career that she can never scrub out. She had been duped, it was an honest mistake, but it had cost her dearly.
When whisperings began regarding an oligarch from Essos having shady business dealings in King’s Landing, she had set out to investigate, feeling it was a story worth telling. To her surprise, he had agreed to an interview, and she had been spun a tale of a man born into tremendous wealth, who was now looking to give back by setting up charitable foundations across Westeros.
She had done her due diligence, followed up on all of the sources at her disposal. Every phone call she made checked out, verifying his claims, and so the glossy double page spread had run in White Cloak Magazine, painting a picture of a misunderstood, altruistic individual who just wanted to share his wealth.
It had been the crowning achievement of her journalistic career, until two days later when the Blackwater Post had run their own story, utterly destroying hers. The oligarch was in fact guilty of tax evasion and money laundering, the charities he had founded mere fronts, empty shell corporations and hedge funds used to hide large sums of money that were never intended to be donated. The sources he had provided to back his claims had all been disreputable business associates of his, posing as bankers, accountants and employees.
He was jailed for his crimes and White Cloak was made a laughing stock for the piece they had run. As the person who had written it, it was her head that was placed upon the chopping block, a blunder of such enormity could not be overlooked.
Her humiliation had felt as though it would swallow her whole. She ought to have been more thorough in her research, but hindsight always possesses more clarity than what is right in front of you. She had considered just giving up and pursuing a different career path entirely, yet despite the shame that shrouded her, she had known that the urge to write would never leave her, an insatiable itch that must be scratched.
For a year she had looked for another job, had applied to just about every magazine and newspaper that existed in Westeros. If she had to relocate to Dorne, The Reach, or even The North then she’d do it for the sake of her career. Unfortunately, the blemish on her record was well known, and nowhere reputable would touch her.
That was until the Duskendale Gazette had taken a chance on her. The pet project of Royce Baratheon, it is a small, localised publication, a far cry from the nationwide reach of the high end White Cloak, but they were willing to hire her, the salary covers her rent, and it means not having to move away from King’s Landing.
For the last eighteen months she has occupied a desk in a darkened corner of the Duskendale Gazette’s offices, lovingly nicknamed “The Wall” by those that sit there - a place where writers at the end of their careers or close to retirement are sent to die.
It has been a slow, painful death, covering everything from disputes over fishing permits in Blackwater Bay to the implementation of a one way traffic system in Rosby. Discovering the news regarding Aemond Targaryen feels like the shot of adrenaline that her career needs to bring it back to life, provided he’s willing to speak to her – provided she can get sign off to write the story in the first place.
She sets down the biro she has been gnawing on and looks at the time on her computer. 9.02am. Glancing over her shoulder towards the big, glass walled meeting room that sits at the centre of the newsroom, she can see that Royce, along with the other editors and department heads are settling around the table, preparing to plan the next round of commissions.
Anxiously biting her lip, she considers her options. It would look bad to just walk in uninvited, however, if she doesn’t ask now then she’ll never get to do it. This is a story worth writing, surely they’d see that? Abruptly, she stands up, drawing in a steadying breath.
Fuck it, I’m going in.
She knocks at the door, not awaiting an answer before pushing it open. The men around the table furrow their brows, falling silent as they turn to look at her.
Royce shuffles the papers in front of him, sighing in irritation. “We’re in the middle of a meeting.”
Undeterred, in spite of the way her heart thunders in her chest, she steps further into the room towards the head of the table where he sits. “I know and that’s why I’m here. I saw on Reuters this morning that Aemond Targaryen has been charged with the murder of his nephew. I–”
“You won’t be covering that,” Royce interrupts, standing from his seat and lifting a sheet of paper from the pile. “I’m putting you on the upcoming curfew that’s to be implemented in Flea Bottom.”
“Royce, please, there’s something here, I know there is,” she presses, attempting to push down the anger that simmers hotly under her skin at his dismissal. “This could be huge for us.”
“You’ll write the story you’re assigned,” he insists, thrusting the paper towards her, “the last thing we need is a profile of some spoiled aristocrat, especially from someone with your track record.”
There it is. Someone with your track record.
“Just give me a chance–”
“You will write what I’ve commissioned, and be grateful you’re getting anything at all.”
“So you’re just going to ignore this?”
“We’ll place a court reporter on it once it goes to trial, but that is not your concern. Focus on your own assignment.”
She turns on her heel, storming back to her desk. Her skin burns with humiliation, tears blurring her vision as she sits down, slapping the commission sheet down next to her keyboard. Drawing in a steadying breath, she scrubs her hands over her face in an attempt to calm herself.
Scanning the assignment she’s been given, she scoffs. A curfew enforced by King’s Landing Constabulary as a means to curb the violent and drunken behaviour that’s rife in Flea Bottom. It's a soulless story, she knows she’ll be expected to simply present the facts, alongside a media ready quote from the police force, instead of addressing the rampant poverty in the area that is the catalyst for such problems. The final product will be better used as ad space.
It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission, and wanting to prove Royce wrong, she decides to press ahead with the story that she wants to write anyway. Opening her internet browser, she searches the Targaryen name, presented with hundreds of links and articles regarding the family.
There is nothing she doesn’t already know; they’re from old money, own most of the banking and legal services from here to Oldtown and there is a rift that divides Viserys’ second wife, Alicent, and her children from his first daughter, Rhaenyra, and her family.
The remaining patriarch of the family, Otto Hightower, owns a law firm called Red Keep Solicitors which is based in the centre of King’s Landing. A good enough place to start for her background research. Scanning the office to ensure no one’s looking, she stuffs her assignment sheet into her bag and slips out unnoticed.
As she steps out of the taxi that has pulled up outside of the high rise office block, she is surprised by the lack of media presence. She had assumed that with the information that leaked this morning, there would be a line of news station vans parked along the pavement, with journalists all clamouring to get a vox pop from someone from either the Hightower or Targaryen family. Besides a steady flow of traffic down the street, it’s dead. Whoever is working to keep the media away is doing an exceptional job. For once, she is thankful she works for a small, local newspaper; no notoriety means being able to fly under the radar.
The polished black marble of the foyer floor causes each of her footsteps to echo around the lofty reception. The space is modern and minimalist; the reception desk placed at the far wall, the motif of a castle with the company name emblazoned across the wall behind it. A forest green, crushed velvet sofa sits off to the side, serving as the waiting area.
“Good morning,” the young woman seated behind the desk greets her. “How may I help you?”
“I’m here to see Otto Hightower,” she says, smiling politely. The less she gives away, the less likely she is to be turned away.
“Do you have an appointment?”
“I’m afraid not. I was hoping he might be able to squeeze me in for a quick consultation?” She asks hopefully.
“Hmm,” the receptionist’s eyes narrow, regarding her with suspicion, before she taps delicately at the keyboard of her computer. “I’m afraid Mr. Hightower is fully booked for today. Can I take a message?”
“No, it’s fine, I’ll wait,” she replies, keeping her tone light, attempting to appear casual. She moves to the sofa, taking a seat and crossing one leg over the other. She ignores the receptionist, who is now eyeing her intently.
Plucking her mobile out of her bag, she pretends to look busy as the woman behind the desk picks up the phone and speaks in a hushed tone into the receiver, clearly alerting whoever is on the other end to her presence.
Thirty minutes tick by in uncomfortable silence, during which she has checked just about every app on her smartphone and read through most of her emails. Her head snaps up upon hearing the elevator ding. As the doors slide open she sees a tall, much older, bearded man step out. There is no mistaking that this is Otto Hightower.
Jumping to her feet, she follows him as he walks quickly past her, out of the building.
“Mr. Hightower, might I have a moment of your time?”
He doesn’t slow down, doesn’t even turn to look back at her, his tone clipped as he tells her “I have no interest in speaking to the press.”
Undeterred, she lengthens her strides to keep up with him. “I understand your concern, but I’m not here to drag anyone’s name through the mud. I’d just like to understand more about what happened with your grandson.”
“No comment,” he says flatly, pulling open the rear door of a sleek, black Mercedes that pulls up to the curb and climbing in.
Before she has the opportunity to say anything else, he’s slamming the door closed and the car is pulling away.
She groans in frustration, walking back towards the entrance of Red Keep solicitors and leaning against the wall. She isn’t ready to give up, not when she’s had a small taste of what it’s like to work on something she actually cares about again. This is just a minor setback, she’ll find someone willing to speak to her. For now, she just needs to get back to the office and plan what the next step of her strategy will be. Pulling out her phone, she opens the taxi app, preparing to head back.
“You’re as subtle as a sledgehammer.”
The quiet voice pulls her attention away from her screen and she glances over her shoulder to be met by a dark, curly haired man, leaning heavily on a cane, an orthopedic shoe on his left foot.
“Excuse me?”
“You couldn’t really have believed that showing up here unannounced would get you an interview, surely?”
She scowls. “And who might you be?”
“Larys Strong,” he replies, eyes never leaving hers.
She turns fully to face him. “And how do you know what will or won’t get me an interview?”
His lips quirk into the faintest of smiles, eyes moving slowly from her head to her feet and back up again. It unnerves her and she can feel herself involuntarily shrinking away from him.
“It’s my job to know. The Hightowers are keen to prevent any unwanted…whispers from occurring, as I’m sure you’ll understand.”
“So, no one from the family would be willing to speak with me?”
“Absolutely not. But I might be.”
“You? How would you be able to help me?”
His eyes seem to glitter, almost malevolently, as he stares at her. It sends a shiver up her spine.
“Oh, I provide all kinds of help to all kinds of people.”
He produces a business card from his inside pocket, handing it to her.
Larys Strong, Harrenhal Associates.
She gives a quiet thanks, fishing around in her bag and handing him one of her own. He glances at it quickly, before slipping it into the pocket from which he’d taken his own.
“Come by my office around seven this evening,” he tells her. “I’m sure we have much to talk about.”
Watching in stunned silence as he turns and shuffles back inside the entrance of Red Keep Solicitors, she knows she should feel excited – she finally has her in, dubious as it may be – however, she cannot shake the feeling that she has just unwittingly stepped into the midst of something sinister.
She whiles away the remainder of the day back at the Duskendale Gazette, ensuring she knows everything there is to know about the Targaryen and Hightower families – at least everything that’s publicly available anyway. She also looks into Larys Strong; there’s little to be found about him, but what she is able to dig up is impressive. He’s a solicitor, and has seemingly never lost a case for any of the clients he’s defended. She has an eerie feeling that the means through which he achieves this are far from ethical.
By the time seven o’ clock rolls around, she’s stood outside of a dingy brick building, located off of the Street of Silk. It does not even come close to the grandiosity of Red Keep Solicitors, without even so much as a sign to indicate it’s a place of business.
Ignoring the voice at the back of her mind that screams at her to turn and run, she presses the buzzer, pulling the door open as it’s released and making her way up the rickety wooden staircase to the top floor.
The room is dimly lit, small and stuffy, worn out carpet lines the floor, complete with furnishings that are likely older than she is. What strikes her as most odd is the abundance of flowers, there’s a vase on every flat surface and they look strangely out of place, a lurid splash of brightness against their darkened surroundings. She wrinkles her nose, the cloying scent of patchouli is overpowering. It’s either being used to cover up the odour of something else or is a misguided attempt to suggest opulence, but instead comes across as tacky.
Larys hovers in the doorway to his own personal office, watching her as she takes in her surroundings.
“Thank you for meeting with me,” he eventually says. “I appreciate that an out of hours visit is less than ideal, but I’m sure you understand the need for discretion.”
She nods, nerves swirling in her gut at the sudden realisation that no one knows that she’s here.
“My secretary has left for the day, so please leave your phone and any recording devices on her desk. I trust you realise that anything discussed this evening is strictly off of the record?”
“Understood,” she replies, deciding to just leave her entire bag on the desk as she follows Larys into his office.
It’s even smaller and more cramped than the tiny space that serves as the reception area. Overstuffed shelves of books line the walls, and the room’s only illumination is a lamp which sits upon the desk.
Larys settles into a leather armchair behind it, gesturing for her to take the seat on the other side.
“Can I ask what your involvement with the Targaryen family is?” She finally asks, once settled across from him.
He sits back, fingers moving absentmindedly over the grip of his cane. “I provide counsel to them. I will be acting as Aemond’s legal defense in the upcoming trial.”
She raises her eyebrows in shock. It’s surprising to know a family as wealthy as the Targaryens would be willing to trust such a delicate matter with someone who operates their business out of a seedy back alley. “You? Why?”
He huffs a humourless laugh, upturning the palm of his free hand. “Who else would? No one from Red Keep Solicitors could represent him, it would be a conflict of interest. And besides, I get results, as I’m sure you know.”
“Yes, I do, as I’m sure you know all about me. Which leads me to my next question, if the Targaryens don’t want the media involved in this then why have you agreed to speak with me?”
Larys is silent for a moment, fingers stroking delicately over the petals of a red flower that sits within a vase upon his desk. “My reasons are twofold,” he says, finally looking up at her. “First, both sides of the family have come to a mutual agreement that neither one will talk to the press. I feel that is a mistake. Aemond needs all the help he can get. I don’t necessarily mean starting a media circus to report upon his every move and dig into his past, just one reputable source to give him a leg up while he’s at a disadvantage. Second, I have chosen you because I’m aware of your past…indiscretions. The future of your career rests upon this, so I know you will treat it with the due diligence it deserves.”
She scoffs in disbelief, running a hand through her hair. “The guy’s been charged with murder, how much care could he possibly need?”
“The prosecution will be pushing for a sentence for murder, yes. I’ll be arguing for a lesser sentence of manslaughter.”
“So, he didn’t mean to do it?”
“I think it’s better said in his own words.”
“You can arrange an interview with him?”
“I can arrange a visit for you to speak with him where he’s currently being remanded in custody, at Dragonstone Prison, yes.”
She attempts to remain neutral as her excitement bubbles unrestrained internally. “When is the trial?”
“In three weeks, so we have to act swiftly. I believe this concludes our discussion. I shall be in touch regarding your visitation.”
She is taken aback by the abrupt ending to their conversation, rising slowly from her seat as she leaves his office and collects her bag. It’s unnerving that even as she descends the staircase she can still feel his presence, the sweet, heady aroma clinging to her clothes like an invisible fog.
True to his word, Larys gets her her visit, and two days later she sits in the ferry terminal for Dragonstone Prison. Having had her identification checked, and her details input onto the system, she is issued a number and has to wait for it to be called before she can board.
The wait is agonising, and a full hour passes before she is called forward, scrambling to her feet towards the boarding area. The grey waters are choppy, causing the ferry to rock slightly on its short journey across the Gullet, until the craggy isle that houses the criminals of Westeros comes into view. The high, cement walls of Dragonston Prison are imposing and bleak against the skyline.
Disembarking the ferry, she is guided through the visitors’ entrance and searched, her personal effects rifled through as she walks through a metal detector, and her electronic devices taken away, to be returned to her upon her departure. Her identification is checked once more, and her details input onto the system again. She is told to take a seat, her name will be called when it’s time for her visitation to begin.
The hard seat is uncomfortable, and without the distraction of her phone she is left to stare at the clock on the wall. Its relentless ticking is maddening, the minutes feeling as though they crawl past. So absorbed in watching it, she jumps when her name is finally called, struggling to compose herself as she’s ushered through into the visitation area.
A series of tables and plastic chairs make up the startling white windowless room, and she is led to one in the far corner. Unsure of what to do, she simply stands beside her seat, awaiting the man she is to meet.
From the photos she has seen, Aemond cuts an imposing figure, dressed all in black. She hopes that the softness of the grey prison uniform will render him less intimidating. However, those thoughts are dashed the moment she sees him walk slowly through the door on the opposite side of the room.
He is in no rush, his steps are methodical, unhurried, a predator stalking its prey as he moves towards her. The photographs do not do justice to his height, long and lithe, he towers over her, and she feels herself holding her breath as she takes in the sharpness of his features. His long, platinum hair is pulled back into an immaculately styled ponytail, giving her an unhindered view of his chiseled jaw, aquiline nose and prominent cheekbones, though spoiled slightly by the ragged, angry looking scar that runs the length of the left side of his face. The eye within the socket sits milky and lifeless, but it does little to lessen the intensity of the brilliant blue of his right.
She notices the slightest dilation of his pupil as he stares unblinkingly at her, making her heart race as the cold sweat of fear prickles the back of her neck. So preoccupied with simply getting her story, it has not occurred to her until now that she would be face to face with a killer.
Certain he senses her fright, she sees his lips twitch with the faintest of smirks. The fact that it does not reach his eye makes her blood run cold.

Y/N was completely and unequivocally in love, the kind of love that made you feel like you were 14 years old in your room crying to Taylor Swift’s ‘You Belong With Me’, the kind of love that hurt more than it felt good. When she moved to London, desperate to get out of her sleepy town in the English countryside, and applied for a job to be the personal assistant to somebody who was then a relatively unknown professional footballer; she could have never imagined that this is where she’d be 5 years later. Y/N had joined Mason Mount’s team just as he had joined Derby County on lone and due to the fact that the man had just moved to a brand-new city away from all of his friends and family, the pair quickly bonded and developed a relationship that became more than one of an employer and his employee; they actually became friends. So, when Mason moved back to Chelsea at the end of his loan and they gave him the chance to upgrade to an assistant with much more experience working with premier league football players, he turned it down; likewise, when Y/N was scouted by another footballer who was offering more money and better hours, she also turned it down. They were happy. They were friends, maybe even best friends. Why then did Y/N consistently feel like something was missing? For months she couldn’t put her finger on it, couldn’t understand why she wasn’t completely happy, it wasn’t until one day when they were sat having one of their infamous movie nights that she understood what it was she was feeling. Despite Mason living in a penthouse apartment in the middle of London worth millions of pounds, their movie nights always took place at her flat, a much smaller one-bedroom place in, to put it bluntly, a much rougher area of the city. They would sit together on her sofa and put on a movie, (usually a cheesy late 90’s to early 2000’s romcom). And one day, she found herself watching Mason rather than the movie; she watched him watching the movie intently, giggling at the funny bits, tearing up at the sad bits, and she realized that she loved him.
Every so often she thought that she should maybe put some space between herself and the footballer, to try and move on from her feelings for him, but then he would do something that would reel her back in, something that would make her think that maybe she had a chance. He would fall asleep cuddling her on the couch, he would dance a little bit too close to her at a party, he would seek her out after winning a big game and hug her so tightly she couldn’t breathe. But then she would overhear him telling Ben and Reece about his latest conquest or she would get a text message from him 15 minutes before he was due to come to hers for a movie night cancelling because he had a date. To put it plainly, she simply just did not know where she stood with her best friend. Despite sometimes feeling like there could be a chance of more between them, she never said a thing to Mason, valuing their friendship too much to risk it; so instead she just went about her life, following her best friend and the man she loved around the country, always hiding how she truly felt, or attempting too at least. There had been a few times when she was spending time with Mason and his friends, that one of them would catch her looking at Mason. There was one time when Ben actually asked her about it, asked if there was anything going on between the two friends, she had told him that there wasn’t, of course, but she could tell from his facial expression that he didn’t believe her. Truth be told, a lot of their mutual friends were worried about the two of them.
So, when Mason and Y/N walked into the club together despite living in completely different areas of the city, Ben and Reece exchanged a look, wondering how their teammate could be so clueless. The rest of the night they watched the way the pair interacted; they watched the way that Y/N would look up at Mason with such love in her eyes whilst Mason looked at her like he would look at any other friend. They were caught between a rock and a hard place, they wanted to tell Mason what they knew so that he could stop leading her on, but they didn’t want to betray Y/N by telling her secret. Even though she was Mason’s friend more than anyone else's, they both really liked her and wanted to protect her from the hurt that her situation with Mason would inevitably bring. But when they caught sight of Mason sat with his arm thrown around the shoulders of the girl, periodically leaning in and whispering in her ear, they knew that they needed to saw something; and when Y/N walked up to the bar and got chatting to somebody on the way back, Ben knew that this was his opportunity.
“Mason why did you and Y/N come in together, aren’t your places on opposite sides of the city?” Ben asked his best friend already knowing the answer to his question. Despite the fact that Y/N worked for Mason as his assistant, the pair were close, very close; so when they arrived to the party in the same car, Ben didn’t have to wonder too hard about the reason why. “Oh, she was at mine for a movie night last night and she was too tired to go home so she stayed.” Mason told his friend matter-of-factly, not seeing what the issue was or why his friend in front of him looked so annoyed. Even if you took away the widely inappropriateness of an employer having his employee stay at his house, there was the small issue of the fact that Y/N was madly in love with Mason and had been for years now. As much as she tried her best to keep it hidden, the only person in their circle that didn’t seem to know about it was Mason himself. Ben and Reece had a conversation a few days before, discussing whether they should tell Mason as from an outside perspective, even if it was unintentional, he did seem to be leading Y/N on; they both knew their friend extremely well, so they knew that he didn’t have the same feelings that she had for him and they knew that if Mason knew the full story there are aspects of his relationship with her that he might change.
“Look mate,” Ben started, unsure of exactly what to say but knowing he needed to say something. “I think you should know that Y/N has feelings for you” Mason’s brows furrowed, completely taken aback by his friends' blunt honesty. “What? No are you sure?” he asked him, truly hoping that he was mistaken or playing some kind of prank. “I’m 100% sure, it’s obvious to be honest with you mate. You can see it in her eyes when she looks at you, she really truly loves you. Having her stay at your place and being that close to her, it’s going to make her think that someday you two could be more than friends, so if that’s not the case then you really need to reconsider doing things like that as it isn’t fair on her. Y/N’s a good girl, you know that she deserves to be happy.” Ben’s words make Mason’s head spin. Y/N was more to him than just his employee, she was one of his closest friends, but he really didn’t see her as anything but a friend. “Oh, fuck Ben what should I do?” Mason asked with his brain completely frazzled at this point, 15 minutes ago he was feeling great, he had just had a great day with one of his best friends and then then he came to a party to blow off some steam after a very stressful week, but now it seemed like everything had come crashing down. “I think you need to speak to her, make it clear that you value her friendship but you don’t see her as anything else, let her down gently.” he told Mason who simply nodded before starting to walk towards the girl in question who was at the bar talking to one of the other players girlfriends., the second Ben realized what he was trying to do he put a hand out to stop him from going over there, causing Mason to look back at him with a puzzled expression. “Maybe telling her right this minute isn’t the best idea though mate, considering you’re in public. Not to mention the fact we’ve all got that trip planned for the Spanish Grand Prix in a few days, maybe you should wait until after that. If things don’t go well that could make the whole trip so awkward.” Ben pleaded at his friend, but he could see on Mason’s face that his words were going in one ear and out the other. “Fine go, but be nice to her and you better not ruin the race for everyone” he relented, taking his arm off of his friend and letting him walk towards the unsuspecting girl.
“Hey Y/N, can we talk?” Mason asked with no regard for the fact that she was already deep in conversation with somebody else. His bluntness combined with the pained look on his face made her recognize instantly that whatever he wanted to talk about wasn’t likely to be lighthearted. She hesitantly followed the man as he gestured for her to come along to a quieter part of the bar. Before she could ask what was going on, Mason had already asked her a question that made her stomach sink - “Do you have feelings for me?” She had absolutely no idea how to answer his question, of course she knew the answer; she had been pining after him for years at this point, but she just wasn’t ready for him to know that yet. “Will you please just answer my question?” he almost demanded, his harsh tone making her freeze. Looking up at her best friend with tear filled eyes she muttered the last thing he wanted to hear - “Yes”. Her voice was so faint that it didn’t come out as anything more than a whisper but to Mason it was the loudest thing he had ever heard. Y/N had imagined having this conversation with Mason so many times, imagined herself finally telling him that she loved him but in all her fantasies, in all her daydreams, he had never flinched like he had done just now. “Mason I -” she started but stopped in her tracks when she saw tears forming in her best friend’s eyes. “How could you do this Y/N, why would you ruin our friendship like this?” he asked her in genuine disbelief. Mason watched the girl stood in front of him stumble over her words, clearly not expecting to be asked that question, before putting her almost full glass down on the table and running out of the bar.
In all of the daydreams she had had where Mason found out she loved him, he didn’t react like that in any of them, even the ones where he told her he didn’t reciprocate her feelings he was never that harsh, never that heartless. Y/N was nothing if not a realist, she truly didn’t expect him to come to her and tell her that he had always loved him too but she at least thought he would try to be nice about it, try to protect her feelings as much as possible, tell her that no matter what they would always be friends. Instead, he basically told her that their friendship was over, and she was the one responsible. She didn’t even have to wonder how Mason found out about it either, she knew Ben knew and she had also seen Mason and Ben talking moments before he came storming over to her. More than anything she just felt stupid; stupid for believing that somebody like Mason would ever love somebody like her, stupid for putting one of her most beloved friendships on the line over a schoolgirl crush, stupid for running away instead of explaining herself to him.
“Y/N, are you okay” she heard a voice come from above her, breaking her train of thought. She was sat on the floor outside the club, staring into space clearly lost in thought, looking certifiably insane. Looking up she saw Reece James stood before her. There was no question that Reece knew what had happened but even still Y/N wasn’t sure if she should talk to him about it. Whilst she was closest to Reece out of all of Mason’s friends and teammates and she would consider him to be a friend, he was still Mason’s friend before anything else. There was also a good chance that anything she does tell him would be repeated to Mason. As if he could read her mind, he spoke again “You know you can speak to me right, I’m not going to tell anyone. I’m sorry that Ben told him by the way” he sat down on the street next to her. “It’s okay I don’t blame him; I understand that he wanted to protect his friend” her words were met with Reece shaking his head, “No actually I think he wanted to protect you” he said causing her brows in confusion. “He tho- We thought that the way he acted with you was a bit unfair, doing things that were giving you hope that you could be more than friends. Mason’s not a bad guy and he wouldn’t do that stuff on purpose, so we wanted to make sure he knew what he was doing.” Y/N looked up at the man's face, his serious expression laced with sincerity; she could tell that he was telling the truth and that he and Ben truly cared about her and wanted to protect her from hurt. “Thank you, Reece, make sure to tell Ben that I’m not annoyed at him for saying anything.”
“Of course, I will. I know we only know you though Mason but you’re our friend as well okay, remember that.” He said before he threw his arm around her pulling her into a hug. “So what do you think is going to happen now?” he asked her. “Oh I really don’t know, he seemed pretty mad at me. I think I’ll probably leave the Grand Prix this weekend though, give things a chance to cool off”
“What no you can’t do that, you love F1 and it’s your first opportunity to go to a race, you can’t miss that because of him. Worst case scenario, go and stick with me. You can’t give up those sweet paddock passes, what if you meet a cute driver eh?” he said jabbing his fingers into her sides playfully teasing her in an attempt to get her to smile. “I’ll think about it” she said, attempting to fight the smile on her face but to no avail. “You going to come back in or are you going to head home? We probably look crazy sat out here like this” he asked her and she paused thinking about it, she thought about going back in and trying to talk to Mason, to try and fix everything. After a moment she shook her head “No I think I should give him some space” Recce nodded understanding her decision before walking over to a cab and giving them her address along with enough money in cash to cover her journey three times over. “You get home safe okay” she nodded before thanking him for being to kind to her tonight. Just before she had the chance to close the door he spoke again “Y/N wait, are you going to be okay? I could call someone if you need?” Again, she found herself smiling at the care Reece had shown her. “No, I’ll be okay, I always am”

Clark was absolutely baffled by you. You were a puzzle that he couldn't figure out and he was absolutely obsessed with the game. You challenged him without knowing. You challenged his control, his nobility, his very will of remaining good. But he was a simple bat of eyelashes away from snapping and ruining his reputation.
You worked with him in the office. While he worked on the small sports articles you worked beside him on small fashion articles. You put your heart into every little report on the newest line of shoes coming out, and every fashion tip that was current floating around. Clark often would allow himself to stare at you typing, your bottom lip wedged between your teeth until you realised the cliché you were doing. You would blink and giggle quietly and then head back to typing after your small mental break.
Clark took in the sparkle of your eyes everytime, how they lit up over your cliché and how romance books had bled it's terribly cute habits into your actions. He was hypnotized with every giggled behind your small hands, every strand of hair that you swept out of your face. He was just entranced in you, he had been the day he first met you.
He remembers so clearly how Lois teased him and how he rolled his eyes at her. He did enjoy her company but she could not hold a firey candle to your sun light beaming on him. Clark almost considered her his muse at one point, but then he stumbled upon you and he was ignited with a vigor for humanity like never before. Lois was bitter at first from loosing his attention but when she started receiving threats and dead birds on her doorstep she soon stopped, far too consumed in her own fear to try and ruin Clarks love.
It was worth it. Everything was. Clark had everything where he wanted and soon you'd be his, but for now he would stare at you working and as he drowned in your beauty he felt himself slip into daydreams of when you first met.
Clark had been working particularly hard all night saving Metrocity from villains that seemed to linger around every corner. And when he was finally done defeating the wrong doers, he realised he had to get to work, so he bolted home and changed out of Superman and into Clark Kent. He let out a huff, feeling exhausted already, his limbs ached slightly and his body craved sleep.
He headed to work, stopping once for a bagel and a coffee before quicky paying and shooting back into the street eager to get to work on time. As he entered the elevator he let out a sigh and soon a yawn slipped past his lips. As the doors opened he slowly headed to his desk and drank his coffee, desperate to consume it so that it could provide him with energy. As he sat down he turned to his left and saw the usually empty desk, not empty. Infact it was almost as if there was someone who moved into the booth. He furrowed his brows and his answers were quickly met when he scanned the area and saw Perry leading a girl out.
"Attention everyone, this is our new employee Y/N. She'll be working on the fashion section. Treat her kindly, that's all. Get back to work." The words echoed around the area and Clark felt his heart race. You were going to sit next to him. A smile graced his lips as he saw you gracefully walk to your desk. You sat down and turned to look at Clark. He smiled, drinking in the familiarity of your eyes. They were so beautiful he was able to recognize them anywhere from in person to online. He held a steady hand out to you and you smiled, your cheeks raising and blushing over how polite the handsome co-worker was.
He couldn't help himself from trying to provoke you so he stared fully into you eyes, allowing himself to drown in your attention. "I feel like I've seen you somewhere before." He noted your heart racing before it slowed down. You stared at him, a smile still gracing your lips and you blinked slowly before turning to your computer. You glanced at him before gracing him with your voice in person, "You might have, you might not have. Who cares? We're here now." You flashed him a smile with teeth completely wiping him out. He was absolutely smitten with you. Ever since he saw you online he knew, you were utterly perfect.
He returned your toothy smile with his own before speaking, "You're absolutely correct. We are here now and I am absolutely ecstatic to have a booth partner. I hope you're ready for my to grumble over the Chiefs loosing." You giggled at him, and then began getting on with work allowing idle natter to float between you two. All the while Lois stared at you both, seeing the charm oozing off Clark and how you repaid it with your giggles and smiles. She was absolutely furious, how dare this little bimbo steal his attention, she had known Clark longer and been through more than you could ever know with him.
You smiled at him and giggled, you were accepting his flirts and you accepted them with pride. Clark knew that. He could tell with the way your eyes sparkled. Which is why he decided to shower you with his shy comments everyday at work. Commenting how pretty your eyes were, how cute your dress was all with rosy cheeks and a small stutter. It was worth his awkward stuttering to see you beam with pride just from his words.
Today was no different, he had told you how great you looked but ofcourse in his own way. "You look- stunning- I mean f-fantastic." And you did, your lips glossed and plump, your cheeks lightly blushed with pretty eyelashes that made you eyes look magnificent. You giggled bringing a hand up and hiding your giggle behind it but he heard it regardless and was swimming in adoration from the sound.
After a full day of working and using his charm on you, he had distinguished your real blush from your makeup blush and that alone filled his ego. He made you blush. As you both headed for the elevator, you pulled your phone out and began typing. All the while, Clark, you and Lois as well as a few other co workers stuffed into the small space. When you put your phone back in your pocket, Clark felt his vibrate. He pulled it out and saw your notification to the public.
'Tonight at 8 cst! Prepare yourself angels, I am dripping from work.'
Clark smirked. He made you blush and he made you wet. He knew that ofcourse, he could smell your sweet juice from where he sat, but seeing you openly say you were dripping from work made his cock stir. The elevator stopped on the last floor and opened. Everyone promptly said goodbye, Clark flashed you a wink and a smile and you looked down blushing before heading home. He watched you rush away, God you were cute.
"You know Smallville, why not make a move?" Clark turned his head, his eyes still focused on you. "The times not right. Did you get in touch with Superman yet? See if he'll help you?" Lois heaved a sigh and shook her head, "He won't even try and see me anymore, but the dead animals have finally stopped and the threats are slowly stopping too." Clark nodded. Ofcourse Superman wouldn't see her anymore, he had someone else to watch. It was true he had stopped his extreme threats but that's due to Lois calming down and accepting the fact that he was very inlove with you.
And with that Clark walked away, excitement coursing through his veins for tonight. Soon he was gonna break, and if tonight was any good, he was going to break so incredibly quick and then snap you up without a second thought.
✧──────────────────────────────────✧
Today had been such a good day at work. You finished your article and Perry loved it, well he loved how it was written. And Clark kept flirting with you. So much that you were sure if he called you pretty one more time your heart would have exploded from how much it was beating. You did have an enormous crush on Clark, he was such a gentleman and it definitely helped how beautiful he was. His chiseled jaw and his hypnotic blue eyes always lulled you into staring at his beautiful face. You sighed, as much as you'd love to date him, you knew some of his views were a little outdated and if you told him about your second job he would be absolutely disgusted by you.
It didn't bother you, it just annoyed you. Many men in the world watched porn yet the second their partner suggested doing it they would often grimace and grumble. But you didn't care, the extra money was amazing and the thrill of being watched by so many people was enchanting. You remember one time after you had just cum and ended your stream, you were cleaning yourself up, clad only in a dressing gown when Superman appeared on your balcony.
Your heart jumped in your throat, scared of what might happen when suddenly he furrowed his brows and stared at you concern swirling in his eyes. "Is everything okay here? I heard screams." You blushed looking down, Superman had heard you cumming! Shame filled you veins and you mumbled out to him, "Yes I'm fine. I'm so sorry it was um my um pleasured noises. I'm a cam girl." Your heart was racing after telling the literal alien your job. You peaked up from the floor and saw his eyes widen and then a soft smile coat his lips, a light blush appearing on the tips of his ears. "It's absolutely fine angel. Just as long as you're okay. I'm sorry for disturbing you." And with that he flew off.
After that you decided that you needed a job and that when you joined The Daily Planet. You didn't see Superman after that incident except for on the news and you felt relieved knowing that he didn't say anything or harass you. Infact you didn't even think he cared. You smiled, he was a good man.
You got changed out of your dress and took your soaked panties off and threw them on the wash. You changed into a lace lingerie and put a sheer dressing gown on. You had eaten dinner and done your chores, so now it was time for some fun. You pulled out your vibrator and dildo and placed them next to you on your bed. You set your laptop up in the perfect place and got ready for the stream. When you started it, you saw many fill in, but decided for the first five minutes to moisturise your legs while you waited for any sticklers to join.
After you were done you smiled at the camera. "Hi there everyone. I have been so wet all day. I woke up from a naughty dream about a certain flying superhero and then I had to go to work where a co worker got my panties soaked!" You said it all with a sultry voice making sure to purse your lips and push your tits together to look pretty in the camera while saying the naughtiest things. You looked at the comments and blushed.
s.man.kent: God what a naughty slut, both of those men deserve to ruin your tight holes.
filth.y.lover: you should sell those dirty underwear
want.to.fucck: god I am so fuckin hard for you.
dirtyyy.daddyyy: get on with it you dirty slut.
You slowly slid your gown off revealing more flesh to your watchers. You got on your knees and played with the band of your panties before you slid your hands up to your tits and squeezed them in the bra. You then pulled it off watching the tips roll in. You smiled and then pinched your nipples seeing them harden behind the fabric, you saw how desperate the men were so you unstrapped your bra and let your breasts out with a fake gasp knowing that everyone that was watching thrived on your sounds. You threw your bra on the floor and stared at the camera, slowly bringing you hands up to cup your tits letting out a moan when you rubbed your thumb over your nipples.
You then decided it was time to get into the main event, and brought your panties down showing your wet, little pussy to everyone, you moaned and slapped your cunt making sure everyone heard how wet you were. You smiled coyly at the camera, a blush coating your cheeks before you reached for your dildo and started to grind against it all while making little sighs and fluttering your eyes giving the illusion of intense pleasure when in reality it was just a tiny buzz. Once the toy was soaking you lined the head up and slowly thrusted up with a loud erotic moan. You slowly started thrusting faster watching all the tips fly in.
You reached out and grabbed your vibe placing it firmly on your clit before flicking it on and whining over the buzz. You turned the vibrations up until your thighs were shaking, you knew you were close to cumming and decided to thrust a little faster making your eyes roll back and pornographic moans to pour out of your soft lips. "I'm gonna cum-" You moaned loudly and convulsed feeling pleasure swipe over you. You layed there, sweating you vibrator laying on the bed still buzzing and your pussy still hugging onto the dildo. You pulled yourself up and turned your vibrator off, and slowly slid your toy out. You smiled, a heavy blush on your cheeks, "Thank you everyone for joining me today, I'll definitely buy some new toys." You giggled and winked before ending the stream.
You sighed and took a shower needing to clean your thighs up. After you were finished you went to check your phone and saw texts from Perry.
'Interview with Superman tomorrow at 2pm. Get something good out of him.'
Your eyebrows knitted and you stared confused. Why were you getting the interview and not Lois. Did he remember you and was finally about to shame you? Your heart skipped a beat. Oh god what if he was going to expose you. With a shaky sigh you prepared yourself for tomorrow and headed to bed.
✧──────────────────────────────────✧
You left out a sigh, your nerves were acting up severely. This was going to be the biggest story ever and you were chosen. It didn't even fit you, you knew nothing about him! You worked in the fashion department for God's sake! When you asked Perry about this weird choice he said that Superman had requested you himself. You felt your heart race at what could happen and with no Clark around to help you calm down, you were melting in fear.
You made it to the rooftop where a table and 2 chairs were, you headed over to it and set up your notes and your recorder. You heard a 'whoosh'. You didn't need to turn to know who it was. Your heart raced with everyone heavy step that walked to the chair opposite you. You stared at him, taking in his muscular form in his suit and bringing your eyes up to his face as he sat down. He smiled at you. He then opened his mouth and spoke softly and you felt calm settle into your heart, "I do apologise if I have scared you, but Lois has been stalking me and I didn't want to be interviewed by someone who constantly wanted me involved in her personal life."
You felt your heart calm yet your mind started turning faster at hearing his voice. You smiled at him nodding, "I will admit I was incredibly confused as to why. I was scared you were going to say something about our last meeting." A dark look glazed over Superman's eyes and a smirk took over his face. "Oh angel, what makes you think I'm not going to?" You laughed awkwardly thinking he was joking. Yet when he stood up and shoved his chair back, you began to panic. You eyes widened as he stood straight, the power radiating off him was so intimidating that it caused fear to run into your veins.
"After our first meeting I was desperate for more of you. I heard you, and then I smelt you," He appeared before you and sniffed your hair making you shiver and let out a cry. "God your little pussy smelt divine, every part of you smelt perfect. I knew though that if I appeared to you again as Superman you'd be terrified so I did something better." You stared up at the hero, horror filling your heart as you saw the dark side of him. You stood up and took an unsteady step back. He chuckled at you, "You can't outrun me. So be a good girl and sit down and listen to me, and I'll be gentle with you. Got it?" You gulped your terror down, tears gathering in your eyes, a shaky whisper leaving your throat, "G-got it."
You sat down, soon Superman's large hands held your face, his thumb gently wiping away your tears. "Good girl. You see I thought if you were a cam girl it meant you'd have no idea who was watching and luckily for you, I was one of them. You made my cock so hard yesterday telling the stream that I made your cute little panties wet." You shook, it shouldn't have scared you. Afterall you agreed to let the word see you naked but the fact that someone who you knew was watching made your skin crawl.
He tilted your head up and stared up at him. "But the best part was interacting with you nearly every day baby. Look into my eyes, you know them." You stared into his blue orbs and slowly you felt your heard stop. "Clark?" He smiled brightly at you. "Smart girl! That's right! I've been beside you this whole time, and God hasn't it been wonderful, don't you think we'd be better together though?" You shook your head, "Clark this is crazy!"
"Crazy?! What's crazy is dealing with your fucking scent every day, thinking about you bouncing on my cock! I've gone insane just thinking about you being mine! I've done terrible things for you!". Your heart hammered as his eyes slowly glowed red in anger. "All the innocent blood on my hands is your fault. I've killed so many men just because they dared look at your naked body." You stared at him, tears trickling down your face. "Please-Clark."
He rolled his eyes and picked you up, before flying quickly to his house. He threw you on his bed. He locked all the doors and windows before heading back to you. You let out a sob, as he began stripping out of his suit. You saw his tone body be revealed inch by inch, knowing second by second your fate was sealed and you couldn't fight it. You stared as his hard cock sprang free. He stared at you with a hungry look before he quickly tore your dress off.
He eagerly started kissing you, making you hiss at how hard he pressed his lips to yours. You knew your lips would be bruised by his strength. His lips slowly descended down your body, making sure to leave his mark every step of the way. You felt his smile as he was at the valley of your breasts. Your heart raced and soon you let out a gasp as Clark took a nipple between his lips and suckled on it. You felt his tongue circle your hard bud and you arched your back. He smirked and bit your nipple gently. He then descended upon the other, making sure your breasts were drowning in pleasure.
He moved his large hand between your legs finding you soaked. He let out a groan and you soon felt his cock slide along your slit, you closed your eyes. He felt huge and that was from simply feeling the tip being dragged against your folds. Your felt him place his huge tip against your clit and he began humping, you gasped at the pleasure. Your hands flew around his shoulders and your wrapped your legs around his waist.
"God you're such a good slut. I knew this pussy was divine, it's so sensitive for me isn't it. Good. It means it will milk my cock. We want that baby, we want you to accept all my cum so you can be swollen with my child. Fuckin show everyone that you're mine."
He chuckled and gave a few more thrusts before he pulled his cock away. You opened your eyes and stared up into his. He looked amused before he leaned down and gently encased your lips in his. He soon began to push the tip of his cock into your small hole. He let out a groan while you whined, your nails digging into his bag and he slowly wedged himself into your cunt. You felt the tip pop in and then the rest of him thrusted in fast. You wailed at the size of him and he cooed down at you.
"Fuck, did so good baby. Taken my cock so well. Took every inch like a good girl. Doesn't it feel nice to be filled. Just wait your gonna be properly filled soon. Fuck your cunt is so fucking tight and warm. I'm in heaven."
He slowly started thrusting, dragging against your tight wet walls. You panted at the feeling, he lowered his forehead down onto yours whispering filthy words as he slowly adjusted you to his cock. Molding your pussy to his dick. He groaned as he felt yourself get wetter. He started to increase the speed of his thrusts.
He brought a big hand down to your button and began circling it vigorously, all while he breathed hard down on you mixed with grunts and groans. You moans egged him on and soon he began pounding your little pussy, making sure that his balls slapped against your ass and his pubes rubbed against his hand while he was playing with your clit.
"God I've always known that your moans were fake on stream, but here you are. Moaning like a fucking whore for my cock. I'm a god to you. You pussy is gonna weep for me just like how my cock weeps for you. I'm gonna treat you and this cunt so fucking good. Gonna be my prized possession!"
You dragged your nails down his broad back babbling for more, you felt yourself close to cumming. Clark was playing your body like a toy, and it didn't surprise you. Afterall he watched all your streams and knew how to play with your little pussy perfectly. You heard him pant, and he pressed his torso against yours before he kissed you and allowed for his cock to spear in and out of you.
"Fuck, I love you so much baby. I know your close. Can you feel how close we are. Isn't it perfect, your cunt was designed for me, and I was designed for you. I'll keep you safe forever. I promise."
He slowed for a moment and stared down at you, embracing this moment before he began thrusting again. His tip rubbing against your gspot every time. He let his hips guide him to an inhuman pace as he let himself drown in your essence. You whined and whimpered over how much his cock was beating your insides up.
"M-m gonna cum! Clark!" You didn't recognise your voice. Clark was right you were a slut. His cock had fucked the thoughts out of you head and turned you into his obedient cock slut. "Do it baby! Coat my cock! Mark me as yours. And then I'm gonna fucking fill you. Gonna get you pregnant! We're gonna be a perfect fucking family."
Your thighs began to shake and soon you coated his cock in your cum. He groaned deeply, his voice vibrating in your head. He felt your cunt tighten around him and he thrusted a few more times before his balls tightened up and he came in youm filling you up. He left his cock in you and collapsed, his head snuggled into the crook of your neck and his arms winded around your body.
"I love you. Did so good." He whispered before he fell into a slumber.
You couldn't escape ever. You knew it now. He had cum in you and there was no getting out of that, let alone escape a god like being. You felt tears stream down your face as your brought your hands to play with Clarks hair as he slept peacefully.
✧──────────────────────────────────✧
Living in Texas was quite a change but Clark wanted you at his home when you were going to give birth. You were excited. You had Martha there who would help you with your 2, one year olds who kicked up a fuss whenever daddy had to go.
You watched as Clark brought all the boxes into the house, displaying his strength. You smiled staring at your husband. You'd lost track of how long you drowned yourself in the illusion that you loved him. But you know that somewhere along the line it stopped being an illusion and that you had fallen in love with the devil incarnate.
Clark stepped into the room, he saw you staring at him, loving look in your eyes. He turned to look behind you and saw his mother feeding his twin children. He smiled, and turned to you. Adoration lighting up his face as he came up to you and placed a kiss gently on your forehead. You were so well behaved. Ever since you gave up everything was perfect.
Clark remembers the first and last time your tried to escape, you screams over the punishment you were given. The silent treatment you gave him after. How he had to implement fear into you, just to get you to love him. It was worth it. It got him his family. He looked down and saw your growing stomach and smiled.
He turned and began unpacking boxes making sure to make this house a home. He bought the neighbouring farm to his mothers house and he intended on making it perfect. You had already began nesting upstairs, letting your kids sleep with you in the big bed while Clark was gone.
Clark was so proud of you for becoming the wonderful mother that you are and amazing wife you were destined to be. You often begged for his cock which filled him with so much joy and boosted his ego. You were destined for him from the very beginning and he couldn't help but take advantage of that.
He unpacked all the photo albums, the precious memories that were kept in there were truly beautiful. From your first picture together when you were working at the Daily Planet with Clark to the newest photo of you holding a pregnancy test with a beaming smile on your face. He was so excited for child number three.
He had a son and a daughter so he was already overjoyed, but seeing you full with his child always made him ecstatic and he planned on keeping you pregnant for as long as possible. You walked into the living room staring at Clark as he gazed down at the photo album, you smiled. "Don't I look pretty in every picture?"
Clarks head shot up and he smiled at you. He stood up at full height before waking towards you. He towered you, something you adored now. Yet it was something that used to fill you with dread. He leaned down and pressed a sweet kiss to your lips. "You look pretty all the time, picture or not."
You blushed and smiled up at him bashfully. "I could say the same for you honey." He chuckled, "I always thought I was handsome not pretty." You giggled and leaned your head against his chest listening to his heartbeat. "Handsome, pretty, who cares when you're my husband." He wrapped his arms around you. "Damn right baby. Just like you're mine. Completely and utterly mine."

Inspired by THIS picture of Joe Keery and the possibility that s4 Steve could have had the most glorious blonde highlights. we could have had it aaaaaall.
The bell chimes as Steve bursts through the glass doors of Family Video, bringing in a gust of the hot summer air with him.
"Shut the door!" Robin demands from behind the counter, lunging forward, exasperated because of course, that stupid door is getting stuck on its hinges and not closing properly right in the middle of summer. And Robin had only just managed to regulate the store's temperature after a pair of morons (aka, Mike and Will) had biked away and left it wide open.
Steve nods, looking like his blank, dingus self in his summertime attire: a baby blue polo and navy shorts that are far too short, giving Robin vivid flashbacks to their dorky Scoops uniforms. She looks down and realises he is, in fact, wearing an identical pair of blue sneakers he'd worn slinging ice creams and her mind drifts to what she could fashion in order to resurrect the 'You Suck' board. Between the outfit and his new hairstyle, he sure was regressing back to his peak 1985 lameness.
"Hi!" he announces, doing his silly little dad-jog to the counter.
"Oh my god!" Dustin shrieks, finally looking up from the VHS order catalogue he was 'helping' Robin look through.
The exclaim stirs Eddie, carefully selecting candies he is absolutely, one hundred percent going to pay for.
"Oh," he says, looking at Steve's hair, now almost entirely blonde with shining, fresh highlights. His face stays frozen in an 'o' shape as he practically collapses against the counter and holds on for dear life. Robin snickers, readying herself for some not-so-subtle teasing, but Dustin gets one in first.
"You look like a Ken doll."
Robin cackles, admittedly at her best friend's expense but, sue her. Henderson sure has a way with (bitchy) words.
Steve leans an arm on the counter, conveniently facing Eddie and smirks. "Always so complimentary, Henderson."
"Shut up, it looks good!" comes Max from the comedy aisle where she and Lucas have been standing for way too long.
Robin makes a face, knowing that all these little pocket moniless twerps are only in the store for the (not even all that good) air-conditioning.
Lucas elbows Max, offering a faint, "What the hell?"
"What?" she retorts, folding her arms. "He looks good."
The couple continues squabbling, the only intelligible words being, "he's lame", and, "but he has nice hair".
Steve runs a hand through said hair, likely knowing it's causing a store-spanning reaction because he's just that vain.
"Just got it done," he smiles like he hadn't spent the past week sitting behind the counter and not working while he was looking at hair magazines.
But he also looks like he's really only interested in impressing one very stupid, slack-jawed metalhead dressed head to toe in black despite it being the dog days of summer. Robin narrows her eyes and pokes at Eddie's bare arm in hopes of rebooting him to his annoying factory settings.
"Munson! You are being suspiciously quiet. What's say you?"
"Uhhh," he hums, looking Steve over before settling back on gawking at his goddamn hair.
"Jesus Christ!" Dustin groans, hanging his head in his hands. He gathers up his pen, paper and order catalogue and heads to the back room, continuing to act like he's an actual employee.
Eddie finally closes his mouth and gives a tight-lipped smile and Robin can practically feel Steve fawning over his devil-disguised-as-a-cherub dimples.
"It… It looks... good," Eddie mumbles, stuttering all the way and avoiding eye contact.
Robin snorts, realising the lovesick moron is just going to remain a melting puddle of goo, not worth teasing at all. She pushes off her wheely chair, sending it flying backwards as she heads for the returns trolley sitting abandoned across the store.
She misses Eddie eventually gathering himself up enough to move a step closer and quietly say, "You look pretty".
And all Steve can do is blush with a meek, "Thanks".

Pride and Prejudice
Tumblr media
Pairing: superior!Hongjoong x fem!reader
AU: office au
Word Count: 3.5k
Summary: Kim Hongjoong, the intimidating superior with an unreasonable prejudice against you, holds a grudge that seems endless. What happens when your paths collide in an unexpectedly heartwarming late-night encounter in the office?
A/N: This was meant to be a drabble but I got slightly carried away, so here, we have this short little oneshot. Inspired by the photos of our captain in Paris.
ATEEZ Masterlist
Tumblr media
Kim Hongjoong.
That was a name that sent shivers down most employees' spines.
In the bustling world of corporate offices, he was known as the intimidating superior that everyone dreaded.
From the moment you set foot in the company, you felt the weight of his prejudice against you. He had a stereotype against pretty girls, believing that you had only secured your position due to what he dubbed as "pretty privilege."
Despite his initial disdain for you, you had been determined to prove your worth. Days turned into weeks, and your hard work began to speak for itself. Your colleagues recognised your dedication and praised your quality of work.
But Hongjoong's pride remained an impenetrable barrier, preventing him from acknowledging your skills and contributions. Because of that, he's been out to get you for as long as you can remember.
Little did you know, things were about to change real soon.
One evening, after the office had emptied out, you found yourself still at your desk, engrossed in a challenging project.
It was then that Hongjoong, against his usual routine, returned to the office for some last-minute work. Surprised to see you there, he observed you from a distance.
He watched as you tirelessly poured over spreadsheets, crafted reports, and revised presentations. It was clear that your commitment went beyond any perceived privilege. Slowly, a realisation dawned upon him, shattering the preconceived notions that had clouded his judgement.
Too immersed in your work to notice him, you typed away, the soft glow of your computer screen casting a dim light on your face.
Hongjoong couldn't help but feel a growing sense of guilt.
He noticed the countless cups of coffee scattered across your desk, each one bearing the telltale signs of late nights and long hours. There was also a half-finished packet of cream crackers, a meagre attempt at sustenance in the midst of your dedication.
His initial irritation at finding you still at the office slowly gave way to concern. It was well past dinner time, and he wondered if you'd even had a proper meal that day. Clearing his throat, he approached your desk, his footsteps light but purposeful.
"You're still here?" He asked in a voice that was almost a whisper, the surprise of your presence evident in his tone.
Your head snapped up at his unexpected appearance, and you shot up from your seat, a reflexive gesture of politeness ingrained in you, "Yes, Mr. Kim," You replied with a polite bow, "Just finishing up some work. What are you doing here?"
He hesitated for a moment, his eyes flicking to the scattered coffee cups and the packet of crackers before meeting your gaze, "I had something I forgot to finish earlier," He confessed, his voice carrying a newfound vulnerability, "So, I came back to the office to settle it."
You nodded slowly, understanding the pressures of your demanding workplace all too well. Returning to your work, you couldn't help but notice the genuine concern in his expression. It was a stark contrast to the disdain and prejudice you had once faced from him.
Then, in a moment that would forever change your professional relationship, he spoke up once more, his words laced with an unexpected humility.
"I didn't realise how hard you work."
Surprised by his admission and the softness in his voice, you looked up again, a flicker of hope in your eyes. With a faint but sincere smile, you replied, "I've been trying to show you all along."
It was a turning point, a moment when the barriers between you and your superior began to crumble, replaced by a newfound understanding.
The awkward silence that hung in the air between you and Hongjoong felt palpable, a reminder of the distance that had separated you for so long. You decided to break the tension by resuming your work, murmuring, "I'll get back to this then."
He simply nodded in response, his eyes fixed on his own office room, but he didn't leave. Instead, he stood there, silently wrestling with his thoughts. He desperately wanted to ask if you had eaten, knowing full well that the late hour meant that a proper meal was long overdue.
However, his pride, which had been a formidable barrier between you two, still held sway over him.
Inwardly frustrated with himself, he cursed under his breath and forced himself to remember why he had returned to the office in the first place. With a reluctant sigh, he reminded himself of the unfinished work waiting for him in his office. Pushing past his internal turmoil, he turned on his heel and headed toward his workspace, determined to distract himself with the tasks at hand.
As he retreated to his office, the lingering sense of guilt and a newfound respect for your dedication continued to gnaw at him.
It was a moment of reckoning, and he wondered if breaking down the remaining walls of pride and prejudice was the path he needed to take to foster a more harmonious working relationship with you.
Hours passed, and the office had grown eerily quiet as midnight approached.
Hongjoong, convinced that you would have left by now, finally decided to call it a night. He stretched, shut down his computer, and began packing his things. But as he made his way towards the exit, he glanced over at your desk and was surprised to find you still there, diligently working away.
His surprise grew when he saw you reach for another packet of crackers, your stomach protesting loudly with a growl. The sight of your dedication and the audibility of your hunger pangs finally broke through the last remnants of his pride and hesitation.
He couldn't let you continue like this.
In a bold move that shocked both you and himself, he approached your desk and swiftly snatched the packet of crackers from your hands, "That's it," He declared, determination in his voice, "I'm taking you to have a proper meal."
You gasped, your wide eyes locked onto his, completely taken aback by his sudden change in demeanour. Without giving you a choice, he tugged you up from your chair, and you reached for your handbag, thinking you might need to pay for your own meal.
Shock and disbelief coursed through your veins as you followed him towards the 24-hour convenience store just downstairs from the office. He surprised you once again.
"Go on, pick whatever you want to eat. It's on me."
The realisation that your once-intimidating superior was genuinely concerned about your well-being left you in a state of utter astonishment.
You carefully selected a light meal, trying to be polite since Hongjoong was footing the bill. But he sighed in frustration when he noticed your restraint, and he swiftly grabbed a few more side dishes, silencing your protests with a stern glare.
Once he had paid, you found yourselves settled at a table and chairs in a quiet corner of the store.
You began, "Thank you for the meal, Mr. Kim."
He nodded in acknowledgement but seemed lost in thought. After a moment of contemplation, he finally spoke up, his cheeks turning a faint shade of red, "Just Hongjoong."
You froze, your actions of opening the food package momentarily halted, "What?" You asked, surprised by his request.
He cleared his throat, still blushing but determined, "I said, just call me Hongjoong. We're not at work now, you don't have to be so formal."
A smile tugged at the corners of your lips as you noticed how cute he looked, flustered by the change in dynamics. You nodded, genuinely touched by his gesture, "Okay. Thank you for the meal, Hongjoong. I really appreciate it."
For some inexplicable reason, he felt his heart warm at hearing you say his name for the first time.
As you both shared the meal, he discovered a side of you he had been quick to overlook. He realised just how wrong he had been to judge you based on a shallow stereotype. It became evident that there was so much more to you than just your good looks, and he couldn't help but curse himself for his past behaviour.
He had needlessly made your life difficult from the moment you joined the company, and he felt a growing sense of remorse.
After the meal, you thanked him once more and wished him a safe trip home, intending to return to the office to finish your work. But his unease intensified as he watched you walk back toward the darkened office alone. He couldn't bear the thought of something happening to you after he had left, and he knew he would never forgive himself.
In an unexpected move, he followed you back to the office, stopping the elevator doors from closing and forcing his way in. You gasped in surprise, staring at him with wide eyes.
He cleared his throat, trying to appear nonchalant despite the racing of his heart, "What kind of a terrible boss would I be to let you work alone so late?" He stammered, "I... I'll help you. That way, you'll finish faster, and we can both go home."
Your heart skipped a beat at his thoughtfulness, a gesture you had never expected from the intimidating Kim Hongjoong.
With a grateful smile, you nodded, realising that beneath the stern exterior you had initially encountered, there was a caring and compassionate side to him that you were only just beginning to discover, "Thank you, Hongjoong. This means a lot to me."
From that day forward, the dynamic between you and Hongjoong shifted dramatically.
The next morning at work, an unexpected sight left all of your colleagues in shock. Hongjoong appeared next to your desk, holding a cup of your favourite coffee and a pack of sandwiches that he had clearly taken notice of you enjoying frequently.
His voice was unusually gentle as he greeted you, saying, "Good morning. Here, don't skip breakfast again."
Your heart fluttered with surprise and gratitude as you stammered out a thank you, bowing slightly, "Morning, Mr. Kim! Gosh, you really didn't have to. But thank you so much."
You could see him trying his hardest to maintain his composure in front of your curious colleagues, who were all gawking at the unexpected display of kindness. With a quick nod, he turned and hurried into his office, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
Once he was gone, your colleagues flocked around your desk, eager to hear the story behind this sudden change in Hongjoong's behaviour. They bombarded you with questions, excited to unravel the mystery of why your intimidating superior was now going out of his way to be nice to you.
The office buzzed with curiosity and anticipation, as the dynamics within the workplace continued to shift in surprising and heartwarming ways.
Unbeknownst to you, Hongjoong had been discreetly observing you from the glass window of his office.
A smile spread across his face as he watched you finally enjoy the coffee and sandwich he had gotten for you. It was a simple gesture, but it held a deeper significance for both of you.
In the days that followed, everyone at work noticed the remarkable change in his behaviour toward you. He openly acknowledged your skills and contributions, and the two of you began to develop a professional respect for each other.
Your colleagues teased you relentlessly, speculating that there might be something more to his newfound kindness. They playfully suggested that Kim Hongjoong might have developed feelings for you.
But you would have none of it.
You firmly told them off each time they made such ridiculous claims, asserting that his change in behaviour was simply a result of him realising he had been wrong in his initial judgement of you. While the teasing continued, you remained steadfast in your belief that his actions were motivated by respect rather than romantic interest.
The office atmosphere had shifted from one of tension and prejudice to one of teamwork and support, thanks to the unlikely friendship that had blossomed between you and your superior.
Little did you know that your colleagues' playful theories about Hongjoong's feelings were not as far-fetched as you believed.
Frustration began to creep into his actions as he yearned for you to grasp the deeper meaning behind his gestures. He had become more attentive, consistently leaving breakfast at your desk and offering assistance with your workload, even when you hadn't requested it. These efforts were his way of expressing feelings he had only recently come to understand.
He was left bewildered by the evolution of his emotions.
He couldn't pinpoint when it had started, but his newfound respect and admiration for you had gradually transformed into something more profound and romantic.
As he continued to go out of his way to be a part of your life, he wished for the day when you might see beyond the professional facade and realise that his actions were driven by deeper feelings he was struggling to contain.
But Hongjoong had reached a breaking point.
That's it, I guess I'll just have to be more direct.
He couldn't continue to hide his feelings and yearnings any longer; he needed to be more forward about his intentions. The internal struggle was taking its toll, and he was determined to let you know how he truly felt.
On a day like any other, as he got you breakfast, you thanked him once more for the meal.
Gathering his courage, he decided to seize the moment, even if it meant doing so in front of all your colleagues. He cleared his throat and, with an air of determination, he spoke, "You can thank me by going to dinner with me."
A collective gasp rippled through the office as everyone realised that Hongjoong was finally making a move.
You, stunned by his unexpected proposition, gulped and blinked up at him, your heart pounding loudly in your chest. With a shaky voice, you croaked, "A-are you asking me out on a date?"
He nodded, taking a bold step closer to you.
He knew he was being unprofessional, and normally, he would care deeply about that, but his feelings for you had grown too strong to suppress any longer. At this moment, all that mattered was hearing your response, and he couldn't wait to hear you say yes.
As much as you longed to say yes, you couldn't ignore the weight of potential consequences.
The risk of having an office romance with your superior loomed large in your mind, and you feared the impact it might have on both your personal and professional life. You were torn between your heart's desires and the practicality of the situation.
However, your colleagues, growing impatient with your silence, began chanting insistently, "Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!"
Their encouragement, combined with Hongjoong's pleading gaze, melted your heart. You knew that your happiness in the present moment mattered more than any potential complications, so you finally nodded and said, "Yes."
The office erupted into joyful cheers as his face broke into a radiant smile. He couldn't contain his excitement as he gently took your hand and pressed a tender kiss onto your knuckles.
"Great," He said, his voice filled with genuine happiness, "I'll catch you after work, then."
With a newfound sense of hope and anticipation, you felt that this unexpected turn of events might just be the beginning of something wonderful between you and Hongjoong.
Your first date with him had gone exceptionally well, and as you spent more time together, your connection deepened.
After a few more memorable dates, he finally gathered the courage to ask you to be his girlfriend. You couldn't help but voice your concerns about how the relationship might impact your work dynamics.
He listened attentively and reassured you that he understood your concerns completely. He promised to do his utmost to keep things professional and not let your relationship interfere with your work. Trusting his sincerity and the strength of your connection, you took a leap of faith and agreed to be his.
From that point onward, everyone at work began to playfully thank you for transforming Hongjoong from an intimidating figure into a gentle and approachable one.
It was evident that he had become more friendly and open with all the employees, and the atmosphere in the office began to relax. The newfound harmony made everyone happier to work together, as the once-tense environment transformed into a more welcoming and pleasant one.
His transformation from a scary boss to a sweet and caring boyfriend was nothing short of remarkable. He made every effort to ensure that you felt loved and cherished in every aspect of your relationship.
Each morning, he would pick you up from your home with a warm smile and drive you to work, turning your daily commute into a shared adventure.
In his office, you would both enjoy breakfast together, savouring these precious moments before the workday began. As he walked you to your desk, he would often steal a quick, affectionate kiss when he thought no one was watching, leaving a subtle yet sweet reminder of his feelings.
Throughout the day, he would make sure that you never skipped a meal, even if it meant reminding you to take a break. Whenever the weather turned chilly, he'd drape his blazer over your shoulders, ensuring you stayed warm and comfortable.
One of the most significant changes was his commitment to ensuring you didn't stay late at work anymore. He would whisk you away for dinner, treating you to delicious meals before taking you home. And on nights when he was too tired to go home, he'd sometimes stay at your place.
Hongjoong's sweetness as a boyfriend was a stark contrast to the intimidating figure you had first met.
He had evolved into a caring and attentive partner, demonstrating his love not just in words but also through his thoughtful actions, it made your life more meaningful with each passing day.
"Thank you, Mr. Park. I look forward to our collaboration."
As you shook hands with the client, a polite smile on your face, Hongjoong felt a twinge of frustration. He was so close to winning over Park Seonghwa for the latest project.
Fine, you win this round.
A year had passed since you started dating, and your professional paths had taken an unexpected turn. You had been promoted to his level and were now working in a different division, putting you in direct competition with him at work.
He remembered the days when he used to be your intimidating boss, and the thought of you becoming his professional rival both intrigued and challenged him.
While he couldn't deny his pride in seeing your career flourish, the competitive spirit within him burned brightly, as he prepared himself for the battles that lay ahead in your evolving relationship, both in and out of the office.
That evening as you both settled down in the home you now shared, a mischievous grin spread across your face.
You watched with amusement as Hongjoong grumbled and struggled to remove his tie. He wore a look of mock envy as he tried to get rid of the professional attire that now seemed like a burden.
Unable to contain your laughter at his sulking, you approached him, gently helping him remove the tie, "I'm sorry for stealing your client, Joong. I thought you'd be proud of me." You teased, your eyes sparkling with amusement.
He blinked in surprise before a soft smile spread across his face, and he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you closer.
"I'm just playing with you, silly." He said, his voice filled with affection.
"You didn't steal Seonghwa from me. You won him over fair and square with your skills. And I am incredibly proud of you, my love. You continue to prove me wrong about my past stereotypes every day, and I love you so much for it."
Your boyfriend's sweet words had a way of melting your heart, and in that moment, you couldn't resist the overwhelming rush of affection you felt for him, "I love you too, Joong." His arms around your waist made you feel safe and loved, and you leaned in, pressing a soft, tender kiss to his lips.
His lips met yours with a gentle warmth, and the kiss deepened, filled with all the love and passion that had grown between you over the past year. Your arms wound around his neck, pulling him closer as the world faded away, leaving just the two of you lost in the sweetness of the moment.
Time seemed to stand still as you relished the connection, your hearts beating in sync.
If someone had told you a year and a half ago that you and Kim Hongjoong would eventually fall in love, you wouldn't have believed them. But as you held each other in that moment, you couldn't help but marvel at how far you had both come since those days.
And you wouldn't have it any other way.
Tumblr media
Lord, this turned out so much longer than I'd planned.
No regrets though, I realised I had to write this after seeing all the recent photos of Hongjoong in Paris. The sight of this man in suits just does things to me. Like, just imagine having him as your boss.🧎🏻‍♀️
This is personally one of my favourites. Hope y'all liked it too! Thank you for reading and as always, do share your thoughts with me! <3

Regarding Black Mask having sadistic kinks…he would totally give his partner instructions that are impossible to follow (telling them not to make any noise and then doing something guaranteed to make them moan/scream) just so he can punish them when they can’t do it
Keep Quiet
Arkham!Black Mask x GN!Reader, word count: 1.4k ok be nice to me be kind to me this is my first black mask thing, and i gotta be honest, it's nice to write someone being a complete bastard who just is a complete bastard. reader has been paid by roman in an undisclosed agreement to be his little puppy, but he might be a bit rougher than they imagined... 💀 request info • prompt list • send me a request • kofi • masterlist minors DNI!! 🔞 cw: mentions of a monetary arrangement, sub/dom dynamics, rough oral sex, spanking, slapping, humiliation, degradation, sadomasichism, crying, pet play
Tumblr media
"Keep. Quiet."
Those were the key words, the rules you were given. They'd been printed on the bottom of the invite card. They were uttered to you by the henchman who was posted at the door to the office. And Roman Sionis himself had uttered them slowly, cruelly, as he watched you undress and guided you to the slick, black platform in the middle of the room.
"Keep quiet. Don't make a sound. I'd hate to have to punish ya."
He turned on his heel, bright red flashing on the bottom of the polished, black leather dress shoes. With a dry chuckle, he turned again, leaning down once more so his face was level with yours where you lay face down on the platform in the middle of the room, though his was hidden behind the matte black skull mask he wore.
"I lied. Punishin' ya would be... well it'd be pretty fuckin' good. But I'm feelin' generous tonight, y'know?"
You nodded, perhaps a little too enthusiastically, as you realised that perhaps the reward here didn't quite make up for the risk. You got money, you got pleasure. But you potentially lost everything at the hands of Black Mask. Violent, notorious, and unpredictable.
Or maybe, you considered, it was worth the risk, given how quickly you felt the pit of your stomach warm, how your heartbeat skipped slightly, how your arousal tingled through you at the thought of those last three attributes. Handsome, yes. Rich, of course. Powerful, naturally. But those were nowhere near as arousing as the volatile behaviour you'd heard tell of being exhibited by Roman in the past. You wanted to experience that for yourself, truth be told. Apathetic, yes. But curious more than anything.
You wondered why you had to be quiet. Some of the others, the ones who had been hired by Roman before, had told you that he had the room bugged. That suggested that perhaps a loud scream might not be picked up well on the mics and would ruin his recording. But then why would he bug the room if he didn’t want any sound? Unless he just wanted to hear himself… But this was Roman Sionis. If he wanted to record any kind of sound, he wouldn’t do it covertly, and certainly not with anything less than the best equipment.
So was it perhaps something to do with the fact that you were in his office, within his building? His employees were right there, just beyond the walls. Maybe he would be embarrassed if they heard what was going on? But of course, he wouldn’t be. Either the walls were soundproofed to allow him to be as heinous as he wanted, or, more likely, they were paper thin so everyone could hear exactly what was going on. After all, who of his employees was going to risk saying anything to him.
And then, you settled on the realisation that it was control. He had control over you completely. From how much you wore, to where you lay, to how much sound you could make in his presence, regardless of what kind of damage he intending to inflict on you. No one spoke back to him, least of all the playthings he was paying. You were there to lay still and be keep quiet. So you close your eyes, letting your body, laying face down, sink into the surface of the podium you had been so sarcastically placed upon, and considered what might be about to happen to you.
Just as your mind began to wander further, causing your heart rate to increase, you felt the sharp, smooth crack of his palm against your rear. The flesh on one of your cheeks heated immediately in response to the smack. You didn’t have time to process the sudden invasion of your personal space before Roman was smacking the other side. His hand switched between your two cheeks, covering your ass in deep, rounded welts as his leather glove came into contact with your red, trembling skin. Over and over, the pain getting stronger either through the repetitive nature or the increase in force, in violence, behind his smacks. Until he suddenly stopped, his heavy breaths getting louder as he walked around you, his finger stroking along your curves as he made his way around to your head.
“Roll over.”
You did as he instructed, and were met with cruelty even then.
“Good dog. Do you know any more tricks then?”
You couldn’t tell whether you should answer or not, so you stayed silent, staring into what you could make out of his eyes beneath the dark mask. With a surprisingly gentle hand, he let his fingers spread through your hair, stroking it, soothing you almost, before he gripped it close to your scalp and tugged sharply. As he pulled your body towards him, you scrambled on your palms, trying to pull your body up the platform, closer to him, where he wanted you to be, until you were laying with your head completely off the edge. Upside down. Waiting for his next move. You opened your mouth to speak, to protest the uncomfortable position, but you were stunned back into silence as his palm cracked your face.
“Don’t even think about talkin’, sweetheart. Keep. Quiet. Keep fuckin’ quiet.”
You nodded, the sting of tears forming in the corners of your eyes. You worried that he might offer further punishment for this display of emotion, but instead he crouched down once again to your level and tutted.
“You dumb animal. Not quite as clever as I thought you were, huh pooch?”
He watched as you swallowed your nerves, throat tensing with the motion.
“Nervous, eh? Good. You should be.”
He placed a finger between your sternum, following it to between your collarbones, then trailing it up your throat to your chin as you watched him, his eyes keeping focus on where he was touching you.
“You know, if there’s one thing I truly hate…”
Roman paused, licking the lips of his mask, eyes narrowing as he took in your pitiful form before him.
“… it’s a puppy who isn’t housebroken.”
His fingers were suddenly tensing, putting pressure on your throat. Constricting your breathing ever so slightly. Enough to cause you to panic before you tried to calm yourself down, preserving the remaining breath in your lungs.
“You gonna whine, little puppy? You gonna howl an’ cry?”
Working against the strength of his grip, you managed to shake your head, a gesture which was met with a deep, dark chuckle from Roman.
“Good. I don’t have time to go take you to be put down.”
Your tears welled up as his grip got tighter, but you fought against the instinct to raise your hands and pull him away from you. If you could just see it through, keep calm, stay still, it’d be over soon. And it was. He let go, leaning forward to admire the dark imprints his fingers had left on your skin.
“See, that wasn’t so bad, was it?”
A rhetorical question. He knew by the streaks of tears that were stinging your eyes as gravity carried them back towards them that it had been an ordeal.
“I told ya. I paid for ya, I ain’t gonna break ya. Not this soon, anyway. Not before I’ve had my fun.”
Your pupils widened as he brought his hands to the zipper at the front of his white, pinstripe pants. He reached his fingers inside the fabric and pulled out his cock, fingers wrapped around the base as he approached you. Inhaling only through your nose, you tried to keep your mouth closed, silently signalling to him your thoughts on what he was proposing. But he wasn’t proposing it, and he had no intentions of asking for your opinion.
He forced his cock into your mouth, pushing it between your lightly pursed lips, his head hitting the back of your throat as he pushed his entire length into you. There was no hesitation, no hint of him letting up despite the fact that you were now quietly choking on him. When you gagged and let out a whine, an involuntary noise, he whipped his cock out of your throat, drool spilling onto your face.
“If I have to tell you again, you are gonna be one sorry pup.”
Pressing a finger to your lips, you watched in silence as his cock twitched, clearly aroused by the control he held over you.
“Keep. Quiet.”

How genshin men would talk their daughter out of a relationship with a "bad" guy
Neuvillette. Zhongli, Pierro, Diluc, Ajax, Itto, Dottore. Translate or reblog is alright, but only if you remember, that I may ask you to delete if I would not alright with your blog. Thank you. The place I live most of all.
Tumblr media
✦ Neuvilette: "Do you know how hard it is to see your child around a man I've judged?'' - The man's frowning voice suggests that nothing good is going to happen, "I'm sorry to restrict you, as a good parent doesn't do that, but a good parent would also not allow their child to date… like that.''
✦ Zhongli: "You're too young," the man says with his hands clasped importantly across his chest, "and you have your whole life ahead of you, so why not leave the golden time for your studies and friends? Relationships are a very relative concept. I don't think you should be throwing your soul away left and right," he's exaggerating because he's afraid your choices will hurt you.
✦ Pierro: "You chose my employee to be your man…?'' - he can't believe it. Why the hell it is Tartaglia? 'I'll talk to him," in Pierro's case you have no choice at all. His job is dangerous, and the man doesn't know what he fears more - that the sudden disappearance of the harbinger will hurt you or that Ajax has turned out to be the chosen one.
✦ Diluc: "Unless you love him very much…" he says in thought, sighing nervously. No, what the hell is love? It's out of the question. ''Let me meet your chosen one," he calmly persuades, knowing that your boy will probably chicken out before meeting a successful businessman.
✦ Ajax: "You must be joking,'' and he even laughs, believing his own words for a second, but when the man realises it's serious, he thinks twice. It would be nice if the man was worth you - then Ajax would give some advice and let you make your own mistakes and explore the world on your own, but knowing that the bugger is only interested in your body, he straightens up ironcladly and says: ''No."
✦ Itto: "You what! With that sucker! He can't even lift you up! Did I make a mistake somewhere," Itto thinks you deserve better, so he walks around the room frustratedly, "He has no strength or brains! Please think twice…"
✦ Dottore: "You must be joking," he says this with a soft smile, but his eyes glow with anger. Dottore is particularly zealous about choosing the man in your life, and you know that no one can go against his will. So you nod frustratedly. "It wasn't a bad joke," and by 'joke' he means 'attempted'.

Okay so their original plan was REALLY stupid, badly thought through and 99.9% guaranteed to fail so I am really really glad they’ve changed to a more sustainable model that also keeps their fans happy.
But also it’s made me realise that people don’t understand how much money TV/film productions cost to make. As ridiculous as it sounds, £100,000 (+ youtube ad revenue) really doesn’t go very far when it comes to hiring sets and locations, buying camera equipment, paying employee salaries, and day-to-day running costs.
Watcher has definitely expanded too quickly and spends way too much on production, and they need to realise that not every show needs TV-level production quality. But also I completely believe Ryan when he said that Watcher would have had to close without finding a different and more reliable stream of income.
That being said, they mishandled this all so badly - especially regarding them living in LA, Steven’s Tesla, and bringing back Worth It. It did make them sound extremely out of touch and like they were rolling in money when in reality they obviously aren’t.

Are we all secretly Argentinian? A brief history of VPN in Beemoov's fandom
Once upon a time, when only High School Life and maybe Eldarya TO were out, players were able to choose their own bank when making a purchase on the games websites. Some banks were extremely cheap compared to others, the cheapest of all being Argentina. This from the perspective of people living in other countries. As an example:
2800 Gold coins were worth 39€ or 49$ or 400 ARS 400 ARS were the equivalent of 27$ in 2016.
So, clearly, anyone given the chance would spend less with such a big discount. And the chance was indeed given, since it was easy to just select another country's bank on the website.
Fast-forward a few years, the option to choose a bank was removed, and people could only use the bank associated to the country they were connecting from. It didn’t take much time for people to realise that it was enough to change IP via a VPN to make the games think you were connecting from Argentina and still access its bank. Additionally, Argentinian's currency was getting more and more devaluated in time and prices were never really adjusted at the bank. So, those 2800 Gold which were worth 400ARS or 27$ in 2016, were now worth 11$ in 2019.
This VPN trick has been around for years now. Not all players were aware of course, and not everyone was comfortable in using a VPN or able to. But still, quite a lot of people were doing so. Some of them even made a business out of it, recharging other people's accounts using a VPN and taking a fee for their "service".
Fast-forward again, to 2022. The VPN trick escalated, the secret was not that much of a secret anymore, especially because people were freely talking about it everywhere, Discord, Facebook, all social media really, even TikTok videos were made explaining how to do it. Very simply, too many people were using it. Consequently, Beemoov worked on it and managed to remove Argentina's bank from most VPNs for people playing from Europe and North America. (NOT South America, as I vaguely remember it was mentioned that they were trying to protect the Argentinians living in nearby countries). This led to a crazy uproar, mostly from the biggest fandom affected, the French one. People were leaving tons of messages on all socials demanding the reinstatement of Argentina, and also sending curses and death threats to Beemoov employees. The most recurrent message was of people outraged that the company had blocked VPNs without telling their players and demanding dialogue and compromise. On the other hand, Beemoov replied that VPNs were never a functionality of the games, and they don't need to discuss it with players.
Tumblr media
Approximate translation of Beemoov's official reply (neither French nor English are my mother tongues so feel free to double check):
"Goodmorning. The use of VPN isn't a functionality offered by the game, just like it isn't normal use of the game to circumvent the base tariffs. Thus it's normal and logic that the company would put a stop at this technique. (Without having to communicate it since it's not a functionality of the game that we are retiring or modifying, but the exploitation of a fallacy.) The tariffs that each country pays are established according to their buying power. Of the 2 euros payment that can be done by the players via VPN Argentina, the company only earns a few cents. And with just a few cents it's clearly impossible to cover the costs of the episodes production and business costs in general, pay our employees, and create new content for our players. Under these conditions, it's certain that the company would eventually go bankrupt. (Like many of you wish, but us not that much.) To give you a less abstract example, it's as if someone would accept to see their salary of 1329 euros (minimum wage, for example) drop to 44 euros. Do you think this person would be able to live without any problem? We are sorry if our base tariffs are not convenient for you and we understand that they are not accessible to all of our players, but these are what allow the company to survive and to make new content. Of course like in all free-to-play games you are not obliged to pay and you always have the possibility of playing for free (and this is thanks to the players who pay the normal price)."
Fast forward again to this year, August 2023. The economic crisis in Argentina has led to high inflation and 22% devaluation of currency. All businesses have had to up their prices, including Beemoov. Those 2800 gold coins that used to be worth 400 ARS ~ 27$ in 2016, and then 11$ in 2019? Are now worth 1.14$. Beemoov has had to up the prices and now these are costed at 6,800 ARS (or 19.43$), an increment of 17 times its original value (but still less than the 2016 dollar equivalent).
Consequently, we have seen now the rest of the fandom, the part that hadn't been affected one year ago, going ballistic. And the same kind of threats and complaints that were posted last year by the European fandom are now posted by the American fandom. One would assume that only the Argentinians are complaining, rightfully so, since they are the ones directly affected. But actually most of the complaints come from people living elsewhere who were either using VPNs for their own benefit or created a business out of it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(these are from 4 different people I found with just a 5 minutes search, we really live in a capitalist dream lmao)
Additionally, people have been upset about the company's reply. This message has been circulating in several social media, and people wonder if it's true or fake.
Tumblr media
I don't know who originally posted so I can't say if it's true or not. (Personally I tend to believe it is.)
(Using Google translate here because I don't know a word of Portuguese, so please correct me if this is wrong.)
"To be fair, Latin America is far from our biggest customer, but that's not the point. Beemoov was forced to take action after numerous abuses by players (and in particular 80% of purchases from Brazil) using VPNs to connect to Argentina and take advantage of this country's poor financial situation to buy APs and other in-game currencies. The few players currently residing in Argentina are unfortunately affected by the situation and we are very sorry, but we could not remain inactive in the face of a fraud of this magnitude that puts the company's sustainability at risk (payment of employees, office rent, work equipment, taxes, creation of new content, etc... Each of these must be paid in euros following the French currency - as we are located in France)."
People have been particularly offended by that "LATAM isn't our biggest customer" which isn't hate, it's a fact. Despite the LATAM fandom being big (second only to France by number of players), the currencies of all the countries involved are worth less than euros, and that's why it can't be the biggest client, it's just math.
Some math below for who is interested, but feel free to skip: For example 1300 gold are costed 200 in mexican pesos which is 10.7 euros. Similarly this same amount of gold is 30BRL in Brazil, which translates to 1.6 euros. Compared, 1300 gold in France are costed 19 euros. (On top of these there are also bank fees and currency exchange fees). This means that, if no one were using VPN, it would take two mexican players for Beemoov to earn the same amount as they earn from a French player. And even more, 12 Brazillian players to pay what they get from one single French player. (Again, I'm not considering bank fees, so these numbers should actually be higher). Of course this is just an example on one single purchase. It's not representative of the whole bank. But with some very hacky math, approximately I think that LATAM doesn't contribute to more than a quarter of Beemoov's revenue (and keep in mind that for the past year LATAM could use Argentina VPN and Europe couldn't). Of course, again, this is veeeery approximate, but I remember Brazil wasn't included in Uncoven, so I think that if they are cutting another bank in the future it might be that one. This is not the case for New Gen of course since we know Brazillian is one of the languages included.
So, where are we now?
VPNs are still being used of course, not Argentina but other countries (mostly Brazil, Turkey, and a few others). I don't think there's any stopping VPNs for good in the old games, but I'm pretty confident the company might've found a way for New Gen.
What do I think of all this?
These up here are facts. Now my personal opinion is that things aren't that black and white. I totally agree with the fact that the company has expenses and needs to pay salaries of their employees etc etc. At the same time it's also true that for whatever business when a product is faulty prices are lowered. Eldarya ANE has not the same quality as the other games, prices should reflect that but they don't. Similarly, some episodes are released very bugged, and people have to replay 3, 4, 5 times to get the illustration they would've been able to get in one playthrough and should be compensated for that. In Moonlight Lovers there was a crazy bug for more than a year, me and the friends I made guides with had to replay each episode at least 5-8 times. I don't even want to try to estimate the amount of money I wasted on that game otherwise I would curl in a ball and cry. The company should've provided compensation to us and all the players who played Moonlight Lovers during that year, but they didn't. So when episodes are bugged and people have to replay many times I see VPNs as morally justified.
But bugs asides, the point is that if VPNs were used only a few times, and only by those players who really would not be able to play otherwise, then nothing would've happened. But as always, when something is abused the "authorities" try to put a stop to it. (Because really it's crazy that a middle-class European via VPN spends only a few cents on each episode and then expects to see more content. This isn't only fraud against the company, but also disrespectful toward the players who pay full price and allow the games to keep existing.)
However, I want to end this post with a positive message, if anyone made it this far it's earned. During my deep dive in the fandom to write this post, I saw that the trolls, the haters, the death and violence threats against Beemoov workers or other players, the wishes to see the company go bankrupt and everyone left without a job, all these came from Europeans and Americans alike. Seeing all these curses and threats in english, french, spanish, brazillian portuguese etc warmed my heart. There is no racism when it comes to hate, humanity sucks everywhere 💕

I didn't want to have to do this but I am currently being harassed by somebody I worked for with no sign of letting up, so here it is. Some of you might remember me working on an RPG called Moonatic since last month. I was contacted by this person in early December to be the artist for the game, after seeing how many people were working on it I decided to accept, but everyone involved was working out of goodwill under the promise that we would eventually be paid. I was encouraged by the director to work at maximum capacity every day, I am aware that I have an especially fast art output compared to some people, but this still takes work and energy as I am a human being. If I was only able to complete one piece in a day, he would comment on that being "a shame" and would point out if I finished my work day earlier than him due to exhaustion even if I had actually gotten things done. I kept working hard every day because I genuinely believed in the project and thought this kind of crunch wouldn't be permanent, and I didn't want to cause friction between myself and the director by complaining which I now realise was a huge mistake. Whenever I took a day off I had to announce it, there was no set schedule and I believe he would have me working every day if possible.
My friends can attest to the decrease in my physical and mental health before I even realised how I was being affected by this. The director also initiated a friendship with me as well as me being his employee, I accepted but over time personal boundaries were crossed, he made judgements about some things in my personal life and just two days ago, the day before I decided to resign, he implied a romantic interest in me knowing full well that I'm in a relationship. This was a breaking point for me and I had to reevaluate everything, after discussing with many people I decided it was best for everyone if I left. But when I gave the director my resignation, explaining to him the stress I was under and how I was uncomfortable with how he spoke to me, but that I would still let them use my work for the project, he immediately reacted with a mental spiral, blamed me for the project failing and even now still refuses to contact me directly.
A few weeks ago he insisted on purchasing a VR Headset for me, which I declined multiple times due to the cost and because I didn't ask for it in the first place, but around my birthday when he kept insisting I decided to accept, considering it my compensation for the month's worth of free labour I had done. I drew many character design sheets, environments, a comic, promotional artwork, helped to finish the trailer's storyboard and had begun animating it, with only a few days of breaks. I left the project because of stress and a lack of personal boundaries that were caused by him, and now this person is spamming me with payment requests to give him back the money for this gift. He claims it as a work tool, but when we talked about him getting it for me he treated the 'work' aspect as an excuse and said he really wanted to hang out with me in VR after work. Now he is declaring it as a work tool that needs to be repaid if not shipped back. A VR headset is not at all a necessary tool for this project, which is an RPG game developed in game maker.
I'm genuinely afraid about what else this person might do as he is blaming me for the project failing as though it was my own, and refusing to take responsibility for his treatment of me. If you are an artist, in the future please avoid any company with the name Andel in it. If I end up being forced to pay back the price of my free labour :') I'll open emergency commissions, ok?
screenshots under the cut (i'm pretty shaky right now so I forgot to add some, the ones related to my resignation have been added now)

I wish I was your girl. chapter 1
First chapter is a little short, just to introduce the story and move it along! Set around the early seasons :) -please check out this post for warnings.
Tumblr media
You dont know my mind.
Your head laid on House's bare chest, as his fingers drew soft circles on your shoulder, while you both listened to each other's heavy breathing from the highs you both just came down from.
Breaking the sweet silence, House couldn't help but ask a provocative question ruining the simplicity being held in each other's company.
“Are you sure you’re not a porn star?” He asks with a huge grin plastered across his face.
“Ha, ha, very funny. And anyway you'd be so lucky, old man.”
Your tone sarcastic yet playful as you try to hide the smile creeping onto your lips, while staring up at him with doe eyes.
House dramatically places a fist to his heart and lets out an exaggerated hiss.
“Ah, ouch! God I hope you weren't this mean to all your other bosses, or well pimps.”
“Mhm only the ones I was sleeping with.” You shot back immediately, earning you a proud smirk from him.
As he goes to get up to grab hisvicodin, and break from your touch, you let out a whine in protest, not wanting to feel the loss of contact.
“God, you're so needy, better keep you away from Wilson. Actually speaking of Wilson he's meeting me here in about half an hour, and quite frankly I wouldn't like to sit and explain why a member of my team is on my couch in her underwear.
You can't help but take his last statement to heart, you knew it was stupid as you were sleeping with Greg House, what more were you expecting? However the desire to be more than a fuck buddy had been creeping up on you lately and you simply wanted more. Was you just an employee with a nice set of tits and a nice arse to him?
“Actually, I was thinking maybe it wouldn't be terrible if people knew about us.”
You lowered your head and your voice was quiet and consumed with seriousness. House didn't reply for a few seconds until you lifted your face to meet his eyes.
“What? You can't be serious.”
After a moment he realised you in fact were not joking and let out a frustrated laugh.
“Oh my god. I don't see how you dont think its a terrible idea, (y,n), we agreed that we would just have great mindless sex, no strings attached. Why ruin that?”
He was defensive which just pissed you off even further.
You became more enraged and hurt the more you thought about the words spilling from his harsh mouth.
“That was then, this is now. Maybe I don't want to be your dirty little secret, who is chucked out everytime there's a threat of someone seeing us, forever. I'm not asking for the moon here House, I just don't see why you're so scared of a little commitment.”
“Yeah well maybe I didnt think by fucking you I was signing up to be husband for god sake. Did we sign a prenup?”
House's voice was mean as he spoke and his hand rested on his forehead out of frustration.
You let out a scoff of shock and disgust.
“Fine. I won't be bothering you anymore, you know unless a patient is dying, if that's even worth bothering you for.”
As fast as the words travelled out your mouth, so did your clothes appear on your body and feet step out of his apartment.
Tears filled with rage brimmed and finally spilled from your sad eyes once outside his apartment door. Thankfully spilling outside of House's sight despite them threating to stream from your face as soon as his vindictive words hit you.
— 2 days later —
Hostility wasnt near close enough to explain the feeling and tension between you and House. Snide comments and brooding stares were exchanged but other than the differentials and generally doing your job you didn't speak or acknowledge House.
House was being more of an ass than usual and it was obvious the team were starting to pick up on it as for the past couple of months he had seemed relatively happy. They ultimately knew there was no point trying to figure out Greg House.
Your best friend Foreman on the other hand had no problem trying to figure out why you had been acting strange. He was worried you might be slipping back into past habits.
He came to look for you while you were in the common room, where you were finishing up paperwork but mainly hiding away.
“Hey, how come you're in here instead of the office?”
He asks the question already knowing the answer, he just wanted to know why exactly you were hiding away,
Feeling slightly defensive not wanting to unload all your problems and thoughts on to your best friend, you did the only thing you could think to do. Lie.
“Um, I don't know, it's just quieter I guess. You gonna join me?”
You try to give him a convincing smile, although it definitely didn't work all that well.
He let out a sign of slight annoyance seeing straight through your lies, not understanding why you weren't being straight with him.
“Quit the bullshit (y,n). I can tell somethings up with you. You've hardly been yourself and believe me I know when somethings bothering you.”
You hated shutting Foreman out but you couldn't be arsed to explain that the reason you had been distant was because Greg House only saw you as a cheap fuck. I mean it's pathetic.
“Okay, yeah i've been a little off lately and im sorry, totally nothing of your doing. I just stopped seeing this fling but i don't know I was delusional to want to take it further. It's dumb really.”
He nodded his head to make sure you knew he was listening before finally giving you a sympathetic smile.
“Not to sound like a jerk but yeah that is pretty dumb. But he'd have to be even dumber to not want you.”
He let out a chuckle and you smiled trying to act like you agreed, despite knowing it was far deeper and more complex than you let on.
“Look, come for a drink with the team after work. Have a few drinks, or a few kisses and forget about whatever idiot you were screwing.”
You nodded your head in agreement.
I mean sure you know that getting out will dull the hurt you feel but the alcohol will only spur on your self destructive manic side.
What could possibly go wrong?
